Bratwursthäusle

Mentioned on
3 lists
$$$$affordable
German restaurant
Restaurant
Located near the Sebalduskirche, Bratwursthäusle has been serving original Nurnberger Rostbratwurste since 1313. The sausages are cooked over a wood fire, giving them a distinct beechwood flavor. This historic establishment also houses its own butcher shop where Nuremberg specialties are freshly prepared daily.
I visited this restaurant twice in two days. The roasted pork shoulder is a must-try—crispy skin like popcorn and flavorful gravy. On my second visit, I had the Nuremberg sausages with sauerkraut and potato salad, all delicious. Sitting outside in mid-August was perfect. Friendly staff and great service. A place you shouldn’t miss when in Nuremberg.
Biow Y — Google review
Great location in the historic city center of Nuremberg. Few min away from the castle. The local sausages are fantastic as well as a decent beer selection. Service can be a little slow at times.
Jens A — Google review
A very unique place, a bit small, but you're immersed in the atmosphere, the warmth, and the smells of good food. The food is excellent; you can't miss the strudel! (photo from months ago)
Lorella M — Google review
Delicious local food! The Nuremberg sausages were perfectly grilled — smoky and flavorful. I also loved the sausage soup with onion, warm and comforting, ang roast pork. Don’t miss the potato salad
Subencha P — Google review
I come here every time I visit Germany! Their bratwurst are so good and the raddlers are refreshing! I love their kartoffelsalat and the staff are always very nice and attentive! The bathrooms are very clean and they bring the food and drinks very quickly. Try the apfel strudel!!
Jeszi P — Google review
Best Nurnberg sausages. Lovely patio, good service, great food. A local in a museum shop told us he eats here regularly. Now I know why, it is awesome.
J B — Google review
A truly over-rated restaurant, food and service sucks. Guess it’s popular because it’s on the main street. We tried 2 other restaurants that are within 1 minute away and they were so much better! The soup was so salty that we left it after just a spoonful. The bread was so hard. The pork shoulder was ok but not the best around. We did not try the dessert since we didn’t like the food. We went at 6pm and they closed the outside umbrella sitting area, packed everyone at the upper deck. We do not recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Fun F — Google review
Absolutely loved this restaurant in Nuremberg! The famous Nuremberg sausages were outstanding – perfectly grilled, full of flavor, and served just right. A true local specialty that lives up to its reputation. The atmosphere was cozy and authentic, and the service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city and looking to enjoy real Nuremberg flavors!

Schlenkerla, Rauchbierbrauerei

Mentioned on
+1 other list
$$$$affordable
Brewpub
Schlenkerla, Rauchbierbrauerei is a well-established family-owned brewery known for its unique smoked beer and traditional Bavarian cuisine. The brewery offers a variety of beers including Schlenkerla Helles, Marzen, Spezial Lager, and Zwergla. In addition to these familiar options, they also feature rare selections like Weyermann's Imperial Stout and constantly rotate unusual brews that are not commonly found elsewhere.
This was our second visit of this brewery and restaurant, our first visit was in 2021 but we were not able to get a reservation for a meal then. We had lunch here but the pork knuckles was bit on the dry side but with good flavor. The mushroom quiche.was delicious! We went uphill for about half mile to visit there brew house and one of retired brew master gave us a grand tour of the facility, showing us how they smoked the malt to get that smoky flavor in to the beer and we also went down to the cellar and try the beer directly from the brewery ! If you visit Bamberg, this is the place you must visit!
Steven C — Google review
Heard the smoked beer was awesome, so I dropped by Bamberg during my holiday. Grabbed dinner with friends too. The pork shoulder was really good—highly recommend! Snagged a 3-pack of beer to go ;) The place was packed, though—tons of people at the door, which threw this tourist off a bit
_NiNiNi_ — Google review
The smoked beer was great, very unique. Taste like smoked sausage. Definitely a must try when in Bamberg. There were many people just chilling outside the restaurant chatting, while drinking. If you want to do the same, how it works is that you will need to pay a deposit “pfand” when ordering your beer, if not mistaken its €2, then they hand you the mug of beer. When you’re done, just head back to the counter, return the mug and get back your deposit. Enjoy!
Siew F — Google review
Famous for their Rauchbier I now got to try their food. They got the typical local dishes. We had the Krustenbraten and Tafelspitz. Both dishes were well prepared. They are quite busy in summer, but they made space for our large group. Great hospitality. But for some reasons they do not entertain bachelor parties.
Jasmin H — Google review
An authentic Bamberg brewery and restaurant. Because it’s ranked at the top of almost every tourist guide, it does get very crowded with visitors – many of whom just wander through or have a quick beer while standing. But if you take the time to sit down, order and enjoy the excellent beer, it’s well worth it. The food is hearty and tasty, service is fast, and while the staff aren’t overly friendly (a bit of an assembly-line feel), they are attentive. The only real downside to dining outdoors is the sheer number of flies – you’ll be busy fighting them off for your meal.
Ermi M — Google review
Great beer garden. Ate here both nights I spent in Bamberg. Managed to get through the entire list of smoked beers. The red lager was my favourite
Michael L — Google review
We visited this place for lunch and sample Franconian kitchen and the legendary smoked beer. We were greeted by a very pleasant man in glasses who told us many interesting things. Overall, the staff was very welcoming and friendly. We didn't have to wait for a table; we were seated right away. The atmosphere is very authentic, in the old German style. We ordered sausages with cabbage and beef brisket with potato ball in a creamy cranberry-horseradish sauce. Everything was delicious, I highly recommend it!
Ivan M — Google review
Good food, great beer. I would definitely make a reservation, we were lucky and stood by until a table opened up. Friendly service especially considering we had two children and the place was packed. Best place to get a rauchbeir in Bamberg!

Zur Hoell

Restaurant
Zur Hoell, a charming restaurant nestled in a historic building over 1,000 years old, offers an unforgettable dining experience steeped in tradition. With its rustic raw stone walls and wooden beams, the ambiance is both cozy and inviting. The menu features hearty German classics that are expertly prepared; highlights include perfectly cooked ribs, flavorful rosti, and delightful Kaiserschmarren topped with vanilla ice cream and plums. The attentive staff is eager to accommodate special requests to enhance your meal further.
Restaurant with its own spirit in ancient house. I was lucky to get place outside without reservation, but i would recommend reserve place because you don’t want to miss this place. One of best meal what i ate - hollandaise sauce was divine.
Beleg C — Google review
Great traditional German food. Small seasonal menu with a few other Bavarian staples offered. They had a long wine list that included wines from all over the world. We stuck with a local wine the waitress recommend, it was delicious. Only one pils beer on the menu, it was light and refreshing. It's asparagus season, so all of the specialty menu meals included white asparagus. It was delicious. 100% would recommend.
Bre M — Google review
The restaurant itself is one of the oldest buildings in Rothenburg. Staffs are super friendly, and the service was very quick even though they were busy. I think inside tables are better than outside terraces even in summer evenings.
Jayhawks N — Google review
Serves local wine in chalices and amazing sausages for very reasonable prices. Friendly service and very good local cuisine. Only accepts cash which they have written in multiple places. The outside seating is very charming and peaceful and indoor is full of character. I'd definitely come back and bring guests here.
Hailey H — Google review
This delightful Bavarian restaurant with wonderful food, incredible atmosphere and terrific service is a must when in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Take their recommendations as everything was delicious. Thank you, Klaus, Denislav and company. Excellent!
ROBERTM — Google review
The oldest building in Regensburg, this old tavern dates to the year 900! The food is amazing, the staff is funny and polite and the atmosphere is really cozy! Celebrated my birthday here with two friends and will gladly come back here when visiting Rothenburg next time. Just make sure to reserve a table in advance!
Jessa D — Google review
The place is amazing! It feels like traveling back in time. The food is also great! I only recommend to pay attention that only cash is accepted, which was no problem for us, but it is good to be prepared before going.
Luiz F — Google review
The reviews don't lie! The food is some of the best you will find in Germany. Try the Obatzda as its a starter, if you like cheese you will love this 😍🤤😍 Klauss the waiter was a true professional at his job also.

C'era Una Volta

$$$$expensive
Italian restaurant
C'era Una Volta is a cozy Italian eatery located on a quiet street in Nuremberg, Germany. The restaurant exudes an authentic Italian ambiance with its limited menu of Italian classics such as pasta and wood-fired pizzas. The welcoming staff adds to the charm, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors. The dining area is uniquely appointed with a few tables and adorned with pictures of famous Italians, creating a comfortable vibe for diners.
My family loved the energy of this restaurant. It’s limited menu was a huge pro for and honestly really fun - we like having a different type of dining experience every now and then. The food we were served was delicious, filling, and came quickly. The waitstaff were super great, and spoke English in addition to German and Italian. We would recommend this place to anyone who is not picky and wants an authentic Italian dining experience!
Lauren S — Google review
It's gorgeous food, but there is no menu. It was a set menu, and although there was a choice for the carnivores, there were no choices for vegetarians. I'd prefer a choice but the food was tasty and the service was fantastic.
Ali D — Google review
A must go off the beaten path! Extraordinary service, Franco the chef is amazing, and the food was literally perfect. How do you make Gnoochi that good?!! Do NOT miss it when you come to the area!
Beth M — Google review
No menu lunch! What a surprise. It was really good! We got recommended to this place by a local! Glad we listened to her! Highly recommend.
Jason L — Google review
Be aware, there is no menu available Also very limited options. I found the place to be not to my taste, though the workers were friendly With that being said, when given bread to the table and asking for Olive oil - answer was simply "no". For a supposed "authentic" Italian spot, was a bad surprise One starter option, and then main course - 3 options to choose from What i had , again-not to my taste, and poorly cooked and cleaned. (Fish) Desert also one option One needs to pay for the full meal No other option Price is not stated anywhere So for the moment (May2023) it is 59€ p.p Not cheap And drinks - water (bottles, no tap) or Wine. Limited menu could be nice, but to know in advance prior to sitting is highly preferable
Eyal Y — Google review
this was one of the best menu serving experiences me and my friend ever had. just to make sure everyone gets this right: this restaurant offers you a specific menu of the day (no regular menu to choose from) including a starter, 5 different main course choices and an incredible dessert. the way the staff treated us was just flawless, like we would not have been in a restaurant at all. it just seemed so perfect all the time. It felt like being invited over to an Italian friends house to taste all the delicious dishes their culture has to offer. i had the chance to eat swordfish for the first time and was overwhelmed by the experience. To all the negative comments here, i asked for specific things beforehand and they had no problem with telling me the prices or their handling with certain things. if you do not agree with that kind of service at all, please do not stay in the restaurant and complain afterwards. Just kindly tell the waiter that you didn't expect it and leave. i don't think that they would mind. i can recommend this restaurant 150% and i am looking forward to eating there again soon.

Padelle d'Italia Nürnberg

$$$$affordable
Italian restaurant
Padelle d'Italia Nürnberg is an upscale Italian restaurant located in the heart of Nuremberg, close to Konigstrasse. It offers a traditional menu paired with an extensive wine list. The restaurant is popular for both casual gatherings and business meetings, and reservations are recommended due to its frequent crowding. With a charming courtyard for summer drinks, it provides a welcoming atmosphere in the center of Nuremberg's old town.
Great lunch! Full house on Saturday at 1pm. It feels like the people know each other - such a cozy atmosphere. The service and food are top notch! Thank you, we will definitely be back!❤️
Natalia S — Google review
Nice place with good italy food and real Italians there. The prices foe city center are ok. Might be very crowded also choose carefully your table if you like to eat in peace.
Hit_the_road_Nbg — Google review
Phenomenal food and inviting staff. Lovely choice of wine. Best authentic Italian food we’ve ever experienced. Highly recommend
Adria H — Google review
Coming for a second time - the place is very nice, better make a reservation a week in advance otherwise you might not get a table in the evening. This time we tried pizza - was ok, but we would rather recommend the pasta there. Starters and desserts were delicious and service was great.
Lin D — Google review
Service was a bit slow, probably cause they had quite a full house. The pasta was a little bit bland for my taste, otherwise it's good.
Bei O — Google review
Really nice authentic Italian family run restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation if you want to go because it’s away full. The owners are very friendly and staff are nice too. We all ordered from the specials menu but they also have pizzas for a very reasonable price. The quality vs price is very fair (if not even a bargain for Nuremberg). All the food was very good and overall experience was great. Highly recommend coming here if you feel like Italian food but be sure to make a reservation in advance.
James D — Google review
Gluten-free pizza was excellent. Regular pizza also very good. We had no reservation but they fit us in for long enough to enjoy a delicious meal.
D_cracknell — Google review
Legit restaurant with solid food and specials galore. Service (5 stars un and of itself) is outstanding (attentive servers dressed well...even wiping off the condensation on the table from our cold drinks). Atmosphere is cozy close, prices are reasonable (accepts card). I am sorry I was too full for dessert. This is a great place for a proper meal either before/after flying in/out. Our highlight was the pizza of all things.

Wirtshaus Hütt'n

Mentioned on
1 list
$$$$affordable
Franconian restaurant
The franconian restaurant Wirtshaus Hütt'n is popular for its generous offerings of home-style food and its range of beers. The interior is rustic and informal, but the atmosphere is warm and family-friendly. Sausages are a specialty here, with roasted brats, fried pork neck in dark beer sauce, and sauerkraut on the menu.
Recommended by our hotel, we tried to reserve our lunch time but no spots were available until 2 days from now, so we decided to take our chances and show up. We waited 10-15 minutes to get anyone’s attention but they were able to seat us at the table with another couple. Wonderful place, great authentic food and service. English and Spanish speaking waiting staff helpful to tourists! Loved the food, the dessert and coffee as well. Highly recommend!
C S — Google review
Good and authentic Franconian restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was great, the level of English of the staff was good enough. As most pubs in the area.theu offer their own brewery brand of beer on tap. Always coming in 3 types: red, light and dark beer. The red and the dark beer tasted great and I highly recommend those.
Nadelin G — Google review
Nice, traditional franconian tavern. The inside is made of wood, giving a medieval atmosphere. The food was tasty and the staff friendly. I recommend the nuremberg sausages over the franconian ones (even though smaller, they were tastier in my opinion)
Vagelis A — Google review
Traditional cuisine can be found in this restaurant near the castle. The ambience is very cosy and it did not feel touristy. I ordered the pork shoulder, which was cooked perfectly, although in my opinion the meat below the crusty fat was a bit bland. The potato dumplings and the meat juice were very good. Friendly service.
Juan H — Google review
The pork shoulder was delicious — crispy skin, tender meat, and a very generous portion. The beer was also great, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
Casey V — Google review
I ordered the fish dish and the portion was too large for me. The fish itself was delicious, very soft and fresh. The vegetables were drenched in oil and not pleasurable. The place is quite popular with the locals to try the typical Schäufele, would recommend to try.
Josii97 — Google review
It is Asparagus season now in Germany. We want to eat these fresh big and white ones we saw in the Markt. We asked around which restaurant serves them and we were recommended to this place. It was sooo good and I can have it everyday during our stay. I think this is only available in Germany. This restaurant have many other good authentic German food in their menu and will come back to them
Susie S — Google review
No table reservation here. Come and find a member of staff and they will get you seated. We had such a good meal that we came back the next evening. Great Sauerbraten and Fränkisches Schäufle. A piece of roasted pork with crackling. Second night we had the sausages and the Schnitzel also delicious 😋. A good selection of local beer specialities and good wines. Definitely a must in the castle area of Nürnberg.

Hotel & Restaurant Reichsküchenmeister - Das Herz von Rothenburg

Hotel
Beer garden
Nestled in the heart of Rothenburg, Hotel & Restaurant Reichsküchenmeister is a charming family-run establishment that perfectly blends history with modern comfort. This delightful hotel features well-appointed rooms adorned with vintage flair, offering guests a spacious retreat unlike typical European accommodations. The property underwent renovations in 2015, enhancing its appeal while maintaining its historic essence. Guests can indulge in complimentary Wi-Fi and breakfast each morning before exploring the picturesque surroundings.
I had a truly pleasant stay at this hotel in Rothenburg. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, and the meals were delicious and thoughtfully prepared. I also really appreciated the clean and relaxing sauna facilities, which were a great way to unwind after a day of walking. One small inconvenience was that there were no umbrellas available for guests on a rainy day, which made getting around a bit tricky. It would have been nice to have a few umbrellas at the front desk for guest use. This time, I stayed in a separate building, not the main one—I’m not sure if it’s officially called the annex, but it was also very clean, modern, and had an elevator, which was convenient. Everything felt well-maintained and peaceful. I’d definitely love to stay here again on my next visit to Rothenburg, and next time, I hope to try a room in the main building as well.
Hankyum N — Google review
Fantastic hotel! So pretty and quaint in a lovely town, very near the main square. I wish we could have stayed longer than one night. Our bed was comfortable, and the room and bathroom were plenty spacious. Dinner and breakfast at the hotel were delicious, with large portions. The staff was friendly and spoke perfect English. I highly recommend staying here.
Martha S — Google review
We stayed 2 nights at this hotel and it was very enjoyable. We loved the location of the hotel, even if it was a bit scary arriving by car and driving through the narrow cobbled streets inside the town wall. The hotel staff were wonderful and soon had us in our room and our car in the parking garage. The room was very comfortable. The restaurant was very busy but very good and we ate there both nights. We booked a table on the terrace for our 2nd night and it was superb.
Jonathon S — Google review
I had a lovely 2 night stay! The room was comfortable and i love the windows that open! The gentleman that assisted with car parking and my bags was great! Breakfast was tasty with a decent selection. Parking add 18€, if you want the ac turned on it’s 5€ per day. Also to note the hotel is right in the heart of the walled town so there is some noise outside, the windows block out a lot but if you’re extra sensitive keep note.
Lisa P — Google review
Great overall experience. The deluxe rooms are spacious and beautiful. The restaurant is excellent. Only negative is that the Weinstube was used as overflow for the restaurant and therefore we were denied entry when we just wanted to enjoy a bottle of wine. I have never been told that we have to eat a meal to enjoy a bottle of wine in a Weinstube.
Steven H — Google review
This lovely old hotel in the heart of Rothenburg is just fabulous. Great service, great breakfast, easy walk to everything. And a spa that was worth the price of the room by itself. I couldn’t be happier with my choice. I will be back.
Thomas P — Google review
Room was very warm even with the windows all open (no ac) and the bed was not comfortable - way too soft. The shower and bathroom were excellent. The restaurant was excellent. Location was fantastic! Parking attendent very nice and helpful! Was never told where to find the Wellness - Front desk should give guests more information, especially when staying in the second building.
Alana D — Google review
Wonderful hotel in a great location. Rooms were great, people were friendly, and the food was awesome. I highly recommend. We would go back without hesitation. Thank you to the team at Reichsküchenmeister.

Backöfele

$$$$affordable
Franconian restaurant
Nestled in the charming Ursulinergasse, Backöfele is a beloved establishment that has been serving up authentic Franconian cuisine for over 35 years. This quaint restaurant exudes rustic charm with its wooden furnishings and traditional decor, creating an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of old-world taverns. Guests can indulge in hearty dishes like suckling pig and marinated pot roast, all while enjoying the cozy ambiance that feels just like home.
Such a cool place to dine. Wonderfully cosy and packed full of charm and history. The food portions were large and the food was faultless. Super popular local restaurant so be prepared to wait a while without a booking. Well worth the wait!

Friendly service. Great wine recommendations. The pork shoulder is delicious. Hard to take a bite without going "mmmmm"

A few minutes out of the busy center, this is a place to enjoy the best this region has to offer. I had the excellent Sauerbraten, which took me back to my childhood with its discreet sweetness and the surprising presence of cinnamon. The double portioned wine glasses were exceptionally good as well.
Nikos P — Google review
I was visiting the city and wanted something more local. I showed up spontaneously for dinner and the place was busy, super cozy, looking very traditional and then I got a table immediately. The food I ordered was delicious (pork) but everything I saw around me looked amazing. Fantastic dinner. Just a tiny bit more expensive, but very much worth it 😋

The place is really nice inside like to back in the time for a moment, unfortunately we arrived in a busy time without reservation and the place was full we eat in a tables outside. Service was friendy and fast even the busy place. Food really German and taste.

Excellent restaurant with Franconian specialties. Cozy atmosphere with dark wood paneling. Popular with locals, its out-of-the-way location limits the number of tourists who might stumble upon it.
Nathan V — Google review
The schnitzel's flavor was perfect. The brats and kraut nailed it. The spargle soup was just what May ordered. The atmosphere was most excellent!
Francine J — Google review
Absolutely loved our dinner at Backöfele! The atmosphere is warm and rustic — candle-lit tables, traditional wooden interiors, and a cozy Franconian charm. We had the veal schnitzel with potato salad and cranberry sauce — perfectly crispy and full of flavor. The service was attentive and friendly, and the overall experience felt genuinely local and unpretentious. Highly recommended if you’re looking for an authentic Franconian dinner in Würzburg.

Franconian restaurant
Bavarian restaurant
Albrecht-Dürer-Stube is a charming Franconian restaurant located near the castle in Nuremberg. Housed in a 450-year-old building, it exudes history and nostalgia. The restaurant, now run by the same family for three generations, offers a delectable menu of traditional Nuremberg dishes such as sausages, steaks, fish, and seasonal vegetables.
We came at 7pm without a reservation and they were kind enough to fit us in, asking us to come back at 8pm. It’s a small quaint local restaurant with traditional Franconian food. There are a lot of framed embroidery on all the walls that add to the charm of this local spot. The embroidery framed in front of our table said to eat and drink without worry (trink und iss sorgenvergiss) and we followed the instructions well. We ordered the special oven roast pork with dumplings and red cabbage and somehow had room for apple fritters and warm plums for dessert. The pork was AMAZING - tender, with crispy skin, and the potato dumpling was light and fluffy and the red cabbage was also the perfect complement to the meal. Apple fritters were crispy and chewy and the warm plum was also delish. Our server was very friendly and I would highly recommend this place. Make a reservation in advance if you want to eat immediately 😊

A cozy Franconian restaurant just steps from Dürer’s house, with wood-paneled walls, checkered tablecloths, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. The menu focuses on regional classics, crispy pork shoulder with dumpling and red cabbage, Nuremberg sausages with potato salad, rich goulash, and everything is cooked with care. Portions are hearty without being overwhelming, and desserts like the sampler plate or affogato with gingerbread ice cream are standouts. Add in warm service and fair prices, and you’ve got one of the best places in the old town to enjoy traditional Nuremberg flavors.

A truly authentic and charming place, incredibly cozy and full of character. The design is fascinating, with beautiful reproductions of engravings to admire everywhere you look. The service is impressively fast, and the meat is absolutely outstanding. Highly recommended!
Anastasiia K — Google review
Very good traditional Franconian food in a half-timbered house with several floors. Both the Nuremberg sausages and the cheese spaetzle were excellent. The beer served here is from the Augustiner brewery out of Munich.

We had a traditional Franconian lunch in this restaurant, where you can share a table with the other customers in a friendly environment. We suggest the grilled Turkey with mushrooms sauce and rosti, and the goose liver patè. The bill was super honest for what we have eaten.
Matteo S — Google review
It was a fine choice directly in the city center, near to the castle. The food was not so especial with limited options. I can recommend the Bärlauchsuppe and the mix starter plate. A huge minus point is Schäufele was not offered to us and other guests during our visit. Although they were still available, the next guests were coming 1 hour after us but could order it.

Oskar - Das Wirtshaus am Markt is a charming eatery located in a 16th-century town hall, offering a showcase of Franconian and regional cuisine. The restaurant provides a relaxed atmosphere for guests to enjoy traditional German and Franconian food. With its outdoor seating, visitors can savor their meals while taking in the historic surroundings. This establishment is known for its solid and substantial German fare, making it a popular choice among locals and tourists alike.
Came in from the street tired, were seated instantly even though the place was quite busy. Ordered a glass of local beer for my wife and Meisel for myself. Drinks arrived fast, the waitress spoke good English. Had a braised pork with a dumpling and sauerkraut, and Wiena schnitzel with salad and potato. Food was delicious, service - excellent and quick. Strongly recommended! 5 out of 5.

A great restaurant in the pedestrian area in the middle of Bayreuth’s old town. They have beautiful indoor dining areas and terrace seating on the street. They serve mainly traditional Bavarian dishes but we ordered chicken schnitzel and mackerel salad. Both of the were delicious and the foods came fast. The service was friendly but they seem a bit understaffed. On a Saturday afternoon, there was almost no available tables left but we could luckily find one table on the terrace. Reservation recommended.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! Why? Because I loved everything from the seating arrangement (the gap between the dining table and me was perfect), and the food was excellent!! The servers were very polite and friendly people. 😄 The ambience is charming and classy. We had Schäufele and Schweinebraten in Biersöße. Then we saw our server carrying a jar full of strawberry 🍓 juice and talked to him. He said it’s in-house fermented strawberry brew (alcohol free). It was slightly sour and yeasty but also sweet. If you’re in the area looking for a romantic lunch/dinner or a family outing even this is the place for you! 🫶🏻 I’ll definitely visit Oskar again. Once again this is one of the best German restaurants in Bavaria!! 👍🏼

Located within the old town in Bayreuth, Germany. Food wasn’t mind-blowing but if you are looking to try Bavarian cuisine, this might be the place! Was a great dining experience nonetheless - the staff were attentive and the atmosphere was lively. Check out my Instagram food blog @kyscals for a more in-depth review!

Traditional German food in a pleasant setting, with in and outdoor options. The food is consistently good and we’ve always had excellent service. The Obadza is my favorite.

The place has a perfect atmosphere, and the waiters are dressed in traditional attire typical of the region. They were very kind and helpful. The food and the beers were very authentic.

Nuremberg Airport, a 1950s airport, offers convenient transportation links to the city center with an underground train and bus connections. It is served by flights from across Europe and is just a short distance from the city center. The airport's small size provides a cozy atmosphere, with comfortable seating and a variety of shops for shopping. However, some travelers have noted cleanliness issues.
I recently traveled through **Nuremberg Airport (NUE)** and had a smooth experience. It's a **small but well-organized airport**, making travel hassle-free. ### **Location & Accessibility:** ★★★★★ - **Close to the city center** – Just **15-20 minutes by U-Bahn (metro)**, making it very convenient. - **Well-connected** to major European destinations with efficient transport options. - **Taxis and rental cars** are easily available. ### **Check-in & Security:** ★★★★☆ - The **check-in process was quick and efficient**, with minimal wait times. - **Security checks were smooth**, but during peak hours, lines can get a bit long. ### **Facilities & Services:** ★★★★☆ - **Clean and well-maintained terminals.** - **Duty-free shopping** and a few **cafés and restaurants** for snacks and meals. - **Free Wi-Fi available**, though it could be faster. - **Limited seating areas** in some sections, but overall, a comfortable space. ### **Overall Experience:** ★★★★☆ A **small yet efficient airport**, ideal for travelers looking for a **stress-free journey**. **Well-organized, easy to navigate, and conveniently located**, making it one of the best regional airports in Germany.

Nuremberg Airport is efficient, clean, and easy to navigate. Offers good connectivity with public transport and quick check-in processes. Decent food and shopping options make it a pleasant experience for both domestic and international travelers.

Sorry, arrived midday on a Friday and had to wait 90! minutes after landing until baggage claim for my flight started to even operate. This is even worse than BER 😅. I think they took a collective lunch brake. One Star because the airport announced imrge estimated baggage ckaim time. Dared restrooms have been mentioned in other reviews.

Dirty toilets. Overpriced and poor quality food and drinks. Paid extra for priority boarding but there was only one queue so complete waste of money. Poor communication regarding the delayed flight (1 hour 30 minutes). Staff rude and unhelpful.

I like the small size of this cosy airport. Security staff was relaxed on a Sunday morning, though apparently lacking protocol for baby carriers and attached car seats. Fair. Seats are comfy, and the stores do have some good choice despite their small size. You could do some “shopping” of you're up for it. But one thing drags the whole experience down: it was filthy. Dunno whether they didn't come around to clean floors and seats after the probably buy Saturday, but it wasn't nice. Especially the children playground was collecting some old dust. Yuck.

Nice GA airport with friendly tower and ground staff. The airport has its own subway that takes you to the city center in 20 minutes. Landing fee for piper arrow with 2 days parking only 66 Euros.

Nuremberg Airport… …I was total-lii astonished by the sheer size of this airport! For one or other reason I thought that this was just a small two building structure but it turned out to be a full-on functional airport. They even have duty free shopping available. What was real-lii nice was the fact that you can walk out of the airport and straight onto the Metro Rail station where the trains run on time every time…

Personally, I would not recommend flying with Ryanair from this airport due to the unprofessional and unaccommodating behaviour of their ground staff. They seem more focused on inventing reasons to impose additional charges rather than assisting passengers. I only wish they would channel that same level of creativity into showing empathy instead.
