Great location in the historic city center of Nuremberg. Few min away from the castle. The local sausages are fantastic as well as a decent beer selection. Service can be a little slow at times.

I come here every time I visit Germany! Their bratwurst are so good and the raddlers are refreshing! I love their kartoffelsalat and the staff are always very nice and attentive! The bathrooms are very clean and they bring the food and drinks very quickly. Try the apfel strudel!!

Best Nurnberg sausages. Lovely patio, good service, great food. A local in a museum shop told us he eats here regularly. Now I know why, it is awesome.

A truly over-rated restaurant, food and service sucks. Guess it’s popular because it’s on the main street. We tried 2 other restaurants that are within 1 minute away and they were so much better! The soup was so salty that we left it after just a spoonful. The bread was so hard. The pork shoulder was ok but not the best around. We did not try the dessert since we didn’t like the food. We went at 6pm and they closed the outside umbrella sitting area, packed everyone at the upper deck. We do not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Absolutely loved this restaurant in Nuremberg! The famous Nuremberg sausages were outstanding – perfectly grilled, full of flavor, and served just right. The smoked beer was great, very unique. Taste like smoked sausage. Definitely a must try when in Bamberg. There were many people just chilling outside the restaurant chatting, while drinking. If you want to do the same, how it works is that you will need to pay a deposit “pfand” when ordering your beer, if not mistaken its €2, then they hand you the mug of beer. When you’re done, just head back to the counter, return the mug and get back your deposit. Enjoy!

Famous for their Rauchbier I now got to try their food. They got the typical local dishes. We had the Krustenbraten and Tafelspitz. Both dishes were well prepared. They are quite busy in summer, but they made space for our large group. Great hospitality. But for some reasons they do not entertain bachelor parties.

An authentic Bamberg brewery and restaurant. Because it’s ranked at the top of almost every tourist guide, it does get very crowded with visitors – many of whom just wander through or have a quick beer while standing. But if you take the time to sit down, order and enjoy the excellent beer, it’s well worth it. The food is hearty and tasty, service is fast, and while the staff aren’t overly friendly (a bit of an assembly-line feel), they are attentive. The only real downside to dining outdoors is the sheer number of flies – you’ll be busy fighting them off for your meal.

Great beer garden. Ate here both nights I spent in Bamberg. Managed to get through the entire list of smoked beers. The red lager was my favourite

It is the Bock season. We travel from far and wide, Scotland in my case, to sample the glorious Urbock? What happens? Finished by 19.30. No new Faß, bottles only. I can drink them in my own country. If a fridge can retain the chill of the Märzen overnight, why not the Urbock? You are letting so many people down.

We visited this place for lunch and sample Franconian kitchen and the legendary smoked beer. We were greeted by a very pleasant man in glasses who told us many interesting things. Overall, the staff was very welcoming and friendly. We didn't have to wait for a table; we were seated right away. The atmosphere is very authentic, in the old German style. We ordered sausages with cabbage and beef brisket with potato ball in a creamy cranberry-horseradish sauce. Everything was delicious, I highly recommend it!

Great food! We tried the stuffed onions with minced meat and potato purée — delicious. The waitress was very kind, and the food arrived just two minutes after we ordered. The menu doesn’t offer a huge variety, but we were happy with our choices. They also have a good selection of beers, from classic options to some special limited-edition ones.

Must visit in Nuremberg! Nuremberger sausages with horseradish, sauerkraut and potato salad. I also had the special Winemakers soup with grapes and cream. Very tasty. Ended with apple fritters and vanilla ice cream

The food and service was spot on. Open late when a lot of other restaurants close or close early on a Sunday. I had Semmelknödel and it came with a big salad. Ideal for an autumn night after a long day working. The bier I had was a very refreshing Pilsner. The gentleman who served me was friendly, quick and put up with my basic German practice 👍🏼🙂

Large restaurant in the heart of the tourist frequent square of the town. The restaurant can accommodate large crowds inside and outside when good weather allows. The menu is simple. It serves the staple of the area, i.e. lots of Nuremberg sausages, potatoes and sauerkraut in line of fast food offerings. Service is typical "german", quick and rigid. They like to take order by group. Treated us like kindergarten kids, "you can order drinks now, and we will tell you when you can order foods". We ordered drinks then waited and then food when the whole area was ready. We were glad to have a place to eat and the use of the washrooms. This is more or less a tourist trap. We doubt very much if the locals would eat here.

Offers a wide selection of traditional Franconian food and is very atmospheric inside, so is great for tourists visiting. However, the service was extremely slow. We were seated for over 30 minutes and still not served and wasn’t too busy. I went up to ask at the front and was told to just wait for the waiter, so eventually had to wave to a waitress to try and grab her attention. Food came quickly enough after we ordered but then again took a long time before we were asked about paying. Just a little more attentiveness or proactivity from the waiters would make a big difference

It was fine, I've just had much better food in the area. And maybe this is typical restaurant style for the area but it's just a bit loud and busy for me. Also servers will ignore you even if you clearly need something. Also kind of pricey for a casual lunch.

Very good traditional Franconian food in a half-timbered house with several floors. Both the Nuremberg sausages and the cheese spaetzle were excellent. The beer served here is from the Augustiner brewery out of Munich.

We had a traditional Franconian lunch in this restaurant, where you can share a table with the other customers in a friendly environment. We suggest the grilled Turkey with mushrooms sauce and rosti, and the goose liver patè. The bill was super honest for what we have eaten.

It was a fine choice directly in the city center, near to the castle. The food was not so especial with limited options. I can recommend the Bärlauchsuppe and the mix starter plate. A huge minus point is Schäufele was not offered to us and other guests during our visit. Although they were still available, the next guests were coming 1 hour after us but could order it.

Very tasty, nice ambiance and good prices! I went there to have a late lunch / early dinner because they were fully booked in the evening due to a fair, so I was quite hungry 😅. So I started with the famous schäufele, which I paired with a rotbier. Then I tried the käsespätzle - which has been one of the best I've ever tried! - and paired it with a hell beer ofc. Everything is totally recommended!

A great spot to enjoy authentic German beer! I skipped the meal hours and just enjoyed a quiet moment with beer. I’m not exactly a beer expert, but tasting different kinds and noticing their subtle differences made me realize—this is what really good beer tastes like. Just stopped by for a beer during a day out. The place was busy with lots of tables reserved but the helpful staff said we could sit at one for our drinks as we explained that we would only be 30 minutes as our bus was leaving shortly. We wanted to try the local beer and it didn't disappoint. If we are in the area again we will definitely go back to eat and have some more of the excellent beer.

A great and well located brewery in the heart of Nuremberg. A bit stuffy for an interior, and the service staff didn’t seem to like Americans very much. But the beer did most of the talking, great tasting beer paired with some hearty goulash soup. Spaetzle was incredibly tasty and cooked perfectly, great with a bite of the beef! A good place to stop in for a quick bite, but the bar packs up very quickly.

Great service, friendly staff. Had the Nuremberg sausages to start then the Schnitzel and Pork Medallians. Everything was great, super generous portions. The Pork Medallians' sauce was so black-peppery! It was intense, but I love black pepper so it was amazing. The beer is great too. Just 5 stars all around!

Lovely old pub restaurant. Had Käsespätzle my favourite. Rotbier is also definitely great! Friendly staff, quick and not too expensive.

Will recommend making a reservation beforehand, a must! Take an evening stroll alongside the old city walls after dinner and beer tasting.

This is a very good choice to eat and to drink local beer and local black cola. And the menu is very very tasty. And the atmosphere is fantastic, everywhere the people are celebrating life, and their liberty. Nürmberg is a wonderful place to be happy, regardless of religion, nationality or colour.

Nice place to have something to eat after a visit to the castle. I’ve read that it is quite touristy, but it isn’t reflected in the prices and there were plenty of locals dining/drinking here. The food was good, beer as well. Service was a bit slow at first, but once we got the menus everything was fine.

the place is beautifully decorated and very cozy indeed. the venison goulash and the dark beer were tasty ,but their famous pork shoulder wasn’t as good as I expected. the potatoes (side dish) were also bland, so I was a bit disappointed, but everything else was perfect, so you should give this place a go if you’re in the city :)

Came here for a quick drink and snack after visiting the Kaiserburg. Friendly service, cosy restaurant in witch house theme. Big beer garten. But was closed since it was winter. I bet it's nice in summer!

DRINK: I took homemade lemonade and personally, I would give that drink a 2 star only. I didn’t like it. It felt only very little lemon has been squeezed into a lot of water. So, it tasted very bland and weird. MAIN COURSE: I ordered a classic dish from them: knuspriges schäufele mit dinkelbiersoße. It was VERY delicious. The knodel was also so good. The meat was soooo well cooked, it was crispy and yet soft on the inside. Oh 😍. I would highly recommend it. The sauce was complimenting the meat really well and so was the sauerkraut. The knodel was soft and spongy. I really enjoyed the food! 🤤 DESSERT: I ordered Apfelstrudel with vanilla sauce and it was also very tasty. Not too sweet - just as I like it. It had raisins in it too which was giving it a good taste. Soft. Also recommended. 😃 LOCATION: Definitely worth it to visit and enjoy the atmosphere. It was Awesome!!!

Me and my girlfriend were on the lookout for some authentic German food and we stumbled across this beautiful beer garden at the base of the castle. The food was so good at a really affordable price compared to other restaurants in similar locations. Service was prompt and one of the male staff was especially fun bringing a great vibe to the whole place. Of course joined by great German beer I would say this is a must visit when in town.

The best apple strudel in the whole region, also recommend the pretzel with butter!!

Great cozy cafe in the centre of Nuremberg, the staff was very friendly and the coffee was good. The prices were also very good. Only improvement in my opinion can be the toilet, it was fine but definitely could be better maintained, also, try to have cash on you, but that goes for most of Germany. I will be back if in the area!

Cafe Bar Wanderer is located at Beim Tiergärtnertor just below the Nuremberg Castle in the north section of the Old Town. They have a restaurant as well as a detached and separate bar where we were able to enjoy Gluhwein during the recent annual Christmas Market. There are standing tables outstand the bar where you can have your mulled wine, prices and glass deposits are similar to what you will find throughout Nuremburg. We really enjoyed having gluhwein at this particular location, it is quite atmospheric on cold winter days.

This place is a staple of Nuremberg! It is one of those places where you can simply lounge around, get a beer or a glass of wine, and simply enjoy life! If you’ve never been to Cafe Wanderer and Bieramt, grab a couple of friends and enjoy a wonderful time, watching people go by, surrounded by historical buildings. Fancy yourself a bit of alone time? Same rules apply: go there, grab something to drink, and enjoy the ambience!

We have been in Germany for a week and had the best coffee here. Our coffee standards are pretty high and we are very impressed by the coffee we just had. 😀

Had a nice breakfast here at a very reasonable price. Unfortunately the brezens weren't super fresh, and we chose this place because of them... But overall I'd say the breakfast is a good value for money.

This is a chain restaurant. It’s all over Nuremberg. From just a small kiosk to a cafe bakery like this one. This one has a drive thru and some hot foods and a nice outdoor patio. I ordered the weisswurst. It was sub par. The pretzel is good but not great. What’s nice is you can get pretzel sandwiches. Prices are reasonable. I had the weisswurst, pretzel, green tea and lebkuchen for 10.50 Euros. You do have to buss your own table.

Best Brezen , when made fresh! Unfortunately Brezen are almost always chewy since they are pre made and sit in the fridge for a while (which is totally understandable, unfortunately)

I tried the drive-in option and ordered butter breze with coffee. Everything was great.

They have the worst breze ever! They have one job to do, make a soft, fresh breze! Very disappointed. I have been there already three times and every time the breze was hard and not eatable. Will never go there again!

The hummus pretzel was really good! An amazing option for vegans like me 💕. The coffee had nothing special, also more bad than a good taste. Also, the opening hours was different than the maps page.

My family attended a workshop with Heidi and Steffi and this was absolutely wonderful. They were so helpful, informative and we loved the atmosphere in the bakery. We bought quite a bit of lebkuchen here and also had coffee. One of the highlights of our roadtrip through Southern Germany! Highly recommended!

Accidentally stumbled across this spot when trying to find a reprieve from the cold and rainy market Nextdoor. Incredible service, hot and fresh gingerbread! Lots of options to sample and taste the different options. I got a coffee (filter) and it was served with delicious and fresh sugar/ginger cookies on top! Will definitely come back here for a cup of coffee and a sweet treat!

Excellent authentic Elisen lebkuchen. I grew up with this delicacy as my aunt from Germany would homebake some or get them as gifts. Finally coming to Nurnberg for the first time, having this fresh was just extraordinary! Highly recommend the Noir or dark chocolate one! Very nutty, moist and soft centre. 5 🌟!!

Beautiful experience there Employees are nice The shop is well stocked with biscuits every where from the famous lebkuchen to other original biscuits . The lebkuchen are made on - site and are of different Flavours : classic ,chocolate .... You even can enjoy a lebkuchen chocolate drink !!! They are a little bit more extensive but they are located on the main place and the biscuits are big :))))

Lebkuchen (gingerbread) stores and cafes are a MUST in Nürnberg. I really like this one specially. Besides a a big variety of gingerbread options all year long, you can get a nice cup of coffee or a nice chai latte. They have as well sometimes cake or strudel in case you don’t feel like gingerbread day. The place has a nice space inside with a traditional oven and beautiful atmosphere and if the weather is nice you can sit outside and have a nice view of one of the town squares and view to the castle.

Here you have all varieties of gingerbread you can imagine, but also many other traditional sweets & also the authentic warm red wine that is served in cold winter months. Everything right across the Nuermebug Christkindlesmarket that is one of the oldest Christmas markets. Gingerbread is also made fresh just in front of you.

A typical Bavarian restaurant, the Christmas decorations really added to the atmosphere. The food is good, but the portions are very small for the price. The apple strudel, on the other hand, was horrible: it tasted like a frozen one, was half-baked and chewy. The service is fast but not very polite. Overall, not a very good experience.

Really liked the atmosphere, warm and inviting. The food was pretty good, not great. I had the Krustenschaufele (roasted pork shoulder) which was very tender and delicious. 5 stars. My wife meal was just ok. The Vanilla ice cream with Warm cherry sauce was very nice. What really stood out was our waiter Gregor. Unlike most service in Germany, he was very attentive, explained the menu and meals to us, and stopped to chat after the meal asking about our trip. That earned Gregor and American sized tip.

Service and ambiance was great! We were a bit disappointed with both the food and beer but that might be subjective. We had no redervation and were seated spontaneously and quickly. While eating we were left undisturbed to enjoy our meal - which was a nice surprise for introverts who dispise the constant check-ins mid-bite 😝 Steak seemed off unfortunately.. maybe an unlucky piece, was very fatty and oily but not in a juicy/full way. Staff was very friendly, no complaints. The price was adequate given the location. Tasty salad with herbs, salt and vinegar! Potato salad was nice too.

Very atmospheric traditional Bavarian restaurant with great views. As non-meat eaters we can find Germany a culinary challenge but the cheese paste starter, pike perch and carp were all flavoursome and very filling. Great value.

We were back after 6 years. This was always my husband's favorite restaurant and he had the Schaufele, which was very good, I had venison gulasch that was also very good. With that I had the house frankish red wine which I took a sip and had to spit it out as it had turned into something worse than vinegar. I told the waiter about it and he tried to convince me that this was just how frankish wine tasted. Now, I happen to know frankish wine, and I know that it can be on the very dry side but this was just bad wine. After some more arguing he offered to bring me another wine, which turned out to be exactly the same at a cost of $9 it was undrinkable. This waiter had no business working in this kind of a restaurant as untrained and unprofessional as he was!

A very good place to try local dishes. It's quite a big place so we managed to find a table although we had no prior reservations. Also the house white wine was surprisingly good, but of course most of the people drink the local beer!

Nice, traditional franconian tavern. The inside is made of wood, giving a medieval atmosphere. The food was tasty and the staff friendly. I recommend the nuremberg sausages over the franconian ones (even though smaller, they were tastier in my opinion)

Traditional cuisine can be found in this restaurant near the castle. The ambience is very cosy and it did not feel touristy. I ordered the pork shoulder, which was cooked perfectly, although in my opinion the meat below the crusty fat was a bit bland.The potato dumplings and the meat juice were very good. I ordered the fish dish and the portion was too large for me. The fish itself was delicious, very soft and fresh. The vegetables were drenched in oil and not pleasurable. The place is quite popular with the locals to try the typical Schäufele, would recommend to try.

It is Asparagus season now in Germany. We want to eat these fresh big and white ones we saw in the Markt. We asked around which restaurant serves them and we were recommended to this place. It was sooo good and I can have it everyday during our stay. I think this is only available in Germany. This restaurant have many other good authentic German food in their menu and will come back to them

No table reservation here. Come and find a member of staff and they will get you seated. We had such a good meal that we came back the next evening. Great Sauerbraten and Fränkisches Schäufle. A piece of roasted pork with crackling. Second night we had the sausages and the Schnitzel also delicious 😋. A good selection of local beer specialities and good wines. Definitely a must in the castle area of Nürnberg.

The vegan wrap was delicious 😋. Service was good and efficient. A bit pricey, but it is the big city. We wanted to eat outside but we're infested with bees. There were even dead bees 🐝 on the table and benches.

The goat cheese burger was amazing! I can’t say the same for the Italy burger though the meat was a bit bland and overall just… okay. The staff were really friendly and the interior design was nice. And for people like me who are very picky about hygiene 🫣the restrooms were impressively clean 💯

Nice burgers for the value you pay. Food was delivered quite fast and was delicious. There is plenty of choice for vegetarian options (burgers). Note: you can also "tune" your burgers or in other words add extra ingredients to your burger of choice. We also recommend the lemonade they make.

Great and centric place. Ordered an avocado hamburger and was delicious. Won't take it with multigrain bread next time as it kind of breaks apart. Staff really nice. Will repeat.

We got to Nuremberg late one evening and were looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite to eat. We were so pleased we found this place! The burgers were so tasty and they had a great range of homemade lemonades and cocktails. I had a delicious goat cheese burger and a refreshing Hugo spritz, my favourite. Would definitely recommend!

Despite the satisfying food and the fascinating historical atmosphere, the waitress was completely unfriendly. She did not like first amount of which we had ordered, and she asked several times: "Is that all?" (This did not mean: "Is that all, What did you order?"). The food was again served in a rude manner. When it was time to pay, she pulled out the credit card reader. She covered the card touching area with the paper in her hand and showed the screen which showing the waitress tips menu “a kind of forced “ us for a tip, by pointing to the area on the device. I can say, that there are dozens of similar complaints about her on Asian social media accounts. I believe, such a historic place could be better off with much more professional and customer-oriented waiters. Waiters means not only, To take orders and bring food to the table; it is also about, To give the customer the feeling, welcome to be here. Even in a hospital doctor try to calm the patients and give them a sense of good vibe . But to be treated like that by a waiter in a restaurant . It was absolutely unpleasant. Even me, who usually doesn't comment any bad things and try share positive things always , I feel this time to let the know people what can be waiting for them with her , and there is absolutely no misunderstanding or anything like that. It is completely rude and intended waiters behavior.

We arrived in Germany after an exhausting train ride from France and were very excited to have some authentic German food, and we were not disappointed! We walked in and were seated upstairs either a view of below and immediately, a very friendly gentleman offered to assist us in ordering what was good on the menu. He was so charismatic and helpful, catered several different dishes and we throughly enjoyed every single dish. From the yummy potato soup, refreshing salad, cheese dip with bread, a main dish of large and small brats and pork tenderloin with herb butter, it was all so delicious. We raved over the potato salad as well and are already trying g to figure out how to recreate the dish for our family back in the US. We indulged in the apple strudel and the plum parfait and found those delightful. We can’t say enough about the food served and the service. We have to leave tomorrow for our next stop in Europe and are excited to go to our last dinner in Germany again at this lovely establishment. Will recommend to anyone 100%.

Tourist review: Historic venue to eat Nuremberg bratwurst - Zum Gulden Stern serves delicious bratwurst and beer! Came here and got the mixed platter from the grill with the large & small bratwursts, pork medallions and a side of sauerkraut. All the food was absolutely delicious - the small bratwursts were super tasty especially and the sauerkraut was the best I’ve ever had! The dark draconian beer was also one of the best beers I’ve had in Germany - highly recommend. The restaurant itself is also very honestly and cosy, although the portions of food are a little on the smaller side. Would definitely come back!

Visited an hour before close and loved the cozy, almost family-table atmosphere. While the food and beer were generally good rather than memorable, the salted pork knuckle with sauerkraut stood out (honestly among the best sauerkraut I've ever had as a tourist). Service was friendly.

This place is an experience, from the old style to the amazing sausages and beer. The day I went there was a news crew interviewing people for an article on what I assume to be some sausage boxing match. But even still the food came out timely and tasted amazing.

I had the fondue with pretzel and the salt Knockel with sauerkraut. Both very good. Washed it down with the Urfrankische dark beer. Service was quick and I wasn't pressured to move along and able to just take my time and enjoy the atmosphere of the place. The kitchen is literally in the middle of the restaurant. If food smells bother you then get a table outside.

So the atmosphere is amazing! It has authentic decorations inside of the middle-age castle! What else you can ask? The beer is amazing but the traditional Nürnberg sausages are a bit boring. But generally highly recommend. Slightly overpriced

If stay there and the so called service offer u to get one spoon of horseradish as a side order on top u will find out, that this will charge u almost 3 Euros or 50%of ur beer. Don't tip them until they get honest prices !! In Germany service is already payed and included in the bill!

Had a great experience visiting from Stuttgart with my mother. The Nürnberger sausages with potato salad was excellent. The person who served us was also quite friendly. Definitely recommend, thank you.

This is noted as one of the top rated sushi places in Nuremberg. I felt the service was rather authentic and was excellent. The atmosphere is hip fun and loud but not bad at all. Kind of a perfect loud that brings good energy. Hidden away gives you the feel you found a secret spot. They had a hot wine for us as we had to wait outside for our table for 5 or so minutes. It was so cold but the hot wine helped. No big deal. The food was the area of most important and it was overall very good. . I felt sushi Glas ( which I understand is now closed) was better with a larger variety of food options and it was my personal favorite. Some great appetizer dishes and solid sushi make this a place I would go to for sure.

I usually go there at lunch, the sushi are good quality, top! I love their Bangkok Baby. We got teas, and its surprisingly good! The staffs are good and friendly, they're asking us politely to took our jackets and theyre puting them in the wardrobe, its so mannered! Its kind of rare situation in an asian restaurant

♥ KOKORO ♥ – Japanese restaurant. A real hidden gem! I highly recommend visiting if you’re on a trip to Nürnberg. I often come here for lunch, they serve rice, soup, and torikatsu (fried chicken). I’d also suggest trying a glass of wine with Sake Lachs or a beer with Yaki Udon. Of course Sushi are the best, but I just personally ate too much of them. The staff never disappoints, they are friendly and always ask if you need anything more, which I'm really missing in other restaurants sometimes. It's just a 2 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof and located next to the city museum. The background music is calm, and there’s also a terrace where you can enjoy the sun in summer. Just one tip: check their opening hours before you go, they’re closed between 14:30 - 17:00, and evenings have a lot of people, so it’s best to call ahead for a reservation.

Nice place to have dinner with friends, typical Mexican food, portions are big and good variety of drinks, both with or without alcohol. There is no service hence you need to order at the cash point and then wait until you’re called for picking up your food - you will not get a number but a character 🙃 Parking around might not be easy but still possible without too much waiting time. Overall good relation quality-price and a pleasant environment to have good time with friends.

I liked the place and the food was delicious. The only downside is that the bowl got immediately cold and the cheese on the meat was just shredded cheese unmelted. I would assume the meat and cheese should be warm and the fresh ingredients and sauces would go on top after passing the plate under the grill to melt the cheese. The nachos, on the other hand, were absolutely delicious and loaded. The margarita was frozen goodness. I will definitely come again.

One of the best places in Nuremberg. The owner is very personable and funny. He's originally from Western America, and you can taste it in his food! If you're craving authentic Tex-Mex in a great atmosphere, this is the place to be!

We went to Crazy Nates at the Wöhrder See on Saturday — first time there, and honestly, it blew us away. We’ve been hunting for a good Mexican spot in Nuremberg forever and kept getting disappointed… until now. The vibe? Super chill, kinda loud but in a fun house party way. The place looks awesome — skater style mixed with Cali energy (the California flag outside totally sold it). Big shoutout to Chrissy at the front — she noticed we were a bit lost with the menu, helped us out, and recommended the Crazy Nate’s chicken tacos with a taco plate and a mixed margarita. Absolute game changer. JFYI, we got lucky and scored a table even tho it was packed — better book ahead on a Saturday. If you’re craving real Mexican food in Nuremberg, this is the spot. 🌮🔥

The food is overpriced for the quality. I'd say a good Dürüm at your local Kebab for 7,50€ beats the 15€ Burrito. They also insist on speaking english rather than german for some reason.

I was a bit disappointed with the restaurant. Wanted to go there quite some time but it was difficult to find a table. The location is nothing special, we were sitting at a table with view to the gas station opposite. The place it self has a nice decoration, it could be a great bar restaurant only the music could hardly be heard! Why should I listen to what the people at the next table say and not to nice music, I really don't get it. The bar looked very nice but it was full with glasses, so nobody could use it to sit there before or after dinner. The dishes were nothing special, we ate nothing that worths to be remembered. The personnel was friendly and helpful. Glutenfree options were available. Would not visit it again unless a few things get improved.

Friends had booked the place for their wedding dinner and what the team from restaurant ZweiSinn created was, simply put, fantastic. The food they served was of highest quality, the taste was awesome and the way i the dishes were presented was excellent. See for yourself in the pictures. I had not expected such great experience. Expect to see me again next time I come to Nuremberg. I can’t judge the staff’s matter of the English language but I’ll get you’ll figure out ;-) Enjoy a wonderful dinner at ZweiSinn.

I went to this restaurant last night. I encountered an unhelpful male staff member with glasses. After trying one ice cream flavor and choosing not to buy it, I proceeded to purchase two cups for my family. When I then asked to sample a different flavor, he refused, citing a one-sample-per-customer rule. This policy felt inflexible and disregarded my status as a paying customer who had just made, and was intending to make, further purchases.

OMG 😱 - by far, best ice cream in Nürnberg, located right at hauptmarktplatz so it's certainly easy to arrive by public transportation, walk or bike. Prices varies depending on the flavor you choose. If you are around, don't miss the chance and go for it!

A great spot if you’re craving authentic Indian cuisine in Nürnberg. The food was absolutely delicious—flavorful, well-spiced, and beautifully presented. One small point—while the staff were polite, the service could be a bit more attentive.

We ordered the prawns as an appetizer, which were excellent. The biryani was good, though the lamb and chicken were a bit chewy. The chicken korma, however, was very flavorful and well-prepared. That said, a few things could be improved. The cutlery was quite worn and scratched — it might be time to replace them. Additionally, one of the servers was wearing a black shirt that had noticeable white stains under the arms, likely from sweat, which gave an unprofessional impression. Attention to these small details would really elevate the overall dining experience.

The masala lassi was delicious and the servers were friendly, which I appreciated. However, I found the rest of the food disappointing for the price - the flavours didn’t meet my expectations. Also, during my visit, someone who seemed to be the owner was talking loudly with some guests table, which felt unprofessional and distracting in the dining area for the customers. Edit: The restaurant tried to remove my review at least 4 times since I have posted. So I am attaching a receipt of my visit for reference.

Awesome burger spot! Order at the counter, and police your table through the wall opening. Vegan burgers were fabulous, as were the fries. Unfortunately, 2 out of 3 of our meat burgers were cold and red in the center, so couldn’t be eaten.

We went to Hempels-Burger restaurant back in August 2022. The restaurant serves a lot of variations of hamburgers. They also have vegan options as well too.

The burgers are delicious and massive. There are both, outdoor and indoor seating. The staff don’t speak English, and although my German is not the best, the employee seemed to struggle as well. But we managed to communicate and it was worth it. Our burgers were ready quickly (although the place was quite empty).

An eatery that seems to be very popular among the locals. The owners are more comfortable conversing in German but can speak some English. They are also always busy preparing for the next meal. Everything on the menu is a must try. The serving portions are very generous, at least from an Asian perspective. My friends and I ended up ordering only 2 burgers and 2 sides for the 4 of us.

The burger was really delicious and it will not go wrong if you go there for Vegan or normal burger, my only point that the toilet was not the best ( that's why I gave it 4 stars) but really the burger and stuff were the best

The location was a bite hard to find since there was no Big sign of the restaurant,outdoor sitting is closed for the season, couldn't notice the spot while we were looking for it. Found this little gem by chance while walking and didn't regret it. Very authentic food. The pasta is absolutely delicious. I just wanted to eat the pasta by itself, it was so good. And the portions are perfect, so you can actually enjoy a small starter, main course and dessert without rolling out of the restaurant with a full belly. The tiramisu is also a must for dessert. Fluffy and creamy. An Italian dream in a German city!✨️🇮🇹🍝 I would recommend booking in advance though. The service is also very nice and caring and will answer all your questions about the food and where it comes from :)

We were craving Italian food and came here for dinner. The owner was so friendly and accommodating. He spoke English and allowed us the choose our table. We both had the Salmon pasta and pana cota. They were delicious.

A cozy little spot by the castle wall, just outside the tunnel, down pass the square. Service is really personable and friendly. They treat you like family. Pasta was great and they have a good variety. The octopus was a bit too salty, but I mixed it with my salad and it was fine. After dinner have some dessert and grappa. I loved it so much I went two nights in a row.

It was a good experience , nice atmosphere prices are reasonable. The pasta with the truffle was good the carbonara was not for my taste - to much sauce. The antipasti were super tasty !

I found this nice little Italian joint close to my hotel. It feels a bit like a side street restaurant in Trastavere or similar in Rome. In any case, it was nice to eat something different than typical Bavarian sausages. You'll enjoy going here.

I am a vegetarian and ordered a soup. There was no English menu available, so I used the Google Translate app, which did not indicate that the soup contained any meat. The menu was unclear and did not specify whether the dishes were vegetarian. I informed the waiter that I wanted the vegetarian soup, but when I received it, it contained three strange dumplings that seemed to have meat or seafood. I told her I was a vegetarian and that the food looked unusual, but she became angry and rude. Her first response was, 'Even if you don’t like it or eat it, you have to pay for it.' She did not apologize or suggest changing the dish to a vegetarian option. My other dish was a salad, which, to be honest, was quite average for the price—very cold and lacking dressing. My friend requested to speak with the manager, but the waiter became even ruder and claimed that the manager was not available, so we could not do anything. In the end, I told her I would not pay for the soup. She was very angry and called the manager on the phone. After a long wait, she reluctantly agreed that we would not have to pay for the soup, but her attitude was very arrogant, careless, and rude. We were extremely disappointed with the service, the attitude, and the food.

The food was very terrible we ordered Kurkuma rice with chicken, taste was horrible the chicken was super old and smelly not edible at all, the waiter was arrogant and rude arguing it’s the taste of kurukuma which no idiot would believe, aslo he himself said he has raised a complaint and there was no proof of it,he was arrogant refused to replace and insisted to do take away which is absurd, we were charged just for a piece of meat and returned them which had foul smell,the summer roll with lemon grass dint had any flavour absolute waste of money. Very delicious Vietnamese cuisine. We had different meals,like Papayasalad(spicy),ricepaper rolls with chicken sate,veggie dumplings and a chicken dish with rice like a curry. All fresh served and dessert some ice cream,mango blueberry and vanilla with exotic fruits. One espresso,very good and a Tiger bear from Singapore. We had a nice evening woth family there. We recommend it for you.

Decent casual fine dining restaurant. For disclosure my latest visit was for a private dinner celebration so might be slightly different from a normal service. But here's what I can share: Cozy, yet smart hybrid of dining room and bar area with a semi open kitchen, hence the name. The owner/chef was an excellent host and managed a formidable multi course menu out of the tiny kitchen. Proteins and veggies seem to be all sourced regionally. The meat dishes were indeed quite nice, like the slices of pork belly with blood sausage or rump steak as the main. A common trait of all dishes was a certain rustic boldness with a lot of umami and generally a lot of flavor. For my liking this got a bit tiresome over the evening as I missed some finesse. I haven't seen the wine list but the selection of Riesling and Chardonnay on our table was spot on. Overall, definitely a place to to have in mind when in Nuremberg and in the mood for an upscale yet casual dinner.

Very fortunate to have discovered this restaurant during our visit to Nürnberg. Went for dinner and it was simply amazing. First the location is in a quite part of town and the restaurant was mostly visited by what seemed to be locals. We chose the tasting menu and paired wine with it. As you can clearly see from the pictures, all the food was a work of art. We were lucky to be seated at the chefs table and could easily watch many meals prepared. Very unique restaurant and definitely worth visiting.

Came into town to visit my sister who has been living here and she brought me to her favorite restaurant for our final dinner of my trip. The food was amazing. Be ready for a long dinner because we got there at 630 and left around 10. Out of our group of 4 we had ordered every dish on the menu. It is too bad that the menu changes every 3 weeks since by the time some people read this. The menu items won't be on the menu anymore. Make sure to call in for a reservation

A Truly Exceptional Dining Experience – Twice! I stumbled upon Globo Restaurant while looking for a place to eat during a weekend trip to Nuremberg. The reviews were glowing, so I decided to walk in without a booking — and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. Sarah, the host, was incredibly accommodating and somehow found me a seat despite the place being packed. I was dining solo, but never once felt alone. I ordered the steak and eggplant, and everything — from the perfectly cooked steak to the incredible bread — was just fantastic. Sarah’s friendliness really stood out. She remembered my name, took time to chat even in the middle of a busy evening, and made the experience feel truly personal. I was so impressed that I immediately booked myself in for dinner the next night. When I returned the following evening, earlier than my reservation, Sarah again found me a seat — this time outside to enjoy the warmer weather. I wasn’t in the mood for alcohol, so she whipped up a special mocktail just for me — it was refreshing and delicious. During our conversation, I mentioned wanting to try white asparagus but hadn’t had the chance yet. Incredibly, Sarah and the chef went into the kitchen and put together a special meal featuring it — just for me. I believe it was a preview of their upcoming menu, and I felt incredibly lucky to try it. This level of care and attentiveness is rare. The food was outstanding, but it was the warmth, hospitality, and personal touches that made Globo a highlight of my trip. I can’t recommend it enough — and I’ll definitely be returning when I’m next in Nuremberg.

The place is located close to downtown but in a really relax area, which I love because you don’t get the noise of the city but in few steps you are in the heart of the city. I would put this place more as a bistro than a pure coffee. The prices are fair and have space inside and outside for when the weather is nice. They have a selection of fresh home made cakes that are really nice with the correct amount of sweetness. Their beer menu is very good together with the cocktails, better than their coffee selection I must say. The only downside for me is the kind of atmosphere, the deco is pretty retro chic cool but every time I am there I feel kind of uncomfortable because attracts an specific customer that makes me feel uncomfortable. But again, that is just me.

Nice vintage bar in the city center of Nürnberg. The coffee is really good and they also serve food. My cake was great. The waitress was polite and attentive. It was a bit crowded, but the terrace wasn't in use because it was raining. I'm sure it's very nice when the sun is shining... A bit hipster though.

It’s a pretty place hidden near the old town, the ambience is great and the cappuccino tasted good, the prices are nominal, well decorated interiors and they provide you free tap water, the red velvet cake was much salty could haven’t been better, when informed them they refunded half the price and provided a tiny smoothie which was a good gesture, overall good

Here it is quiet and you can speak easily. There are 2 types of beans for coffee, but there were little bit the same. Flat White with oat milk wasn't tasty. The ingwer cookie wasn't fresh and didn't feel so much. Honey torte is very tasty.

Very cozy, unique place. A big sortiment of cakes, sweets and hot drinks. I chose the honey cake and filtered coffee. The cake was very similar to the traditional Russian honey cake (медовый торт) which I couldn’t find anywhere in Nürnberg, so I definitely recommend you try it! The coffee was definitely one of the best I’ve tried. If I am not mistaken the “small” pot eas around 300ml which is way more than “small” portions in other cafes. Overall, very nice place to have a coffee and I will be visiting this place more often!

We stayed a night in Nurnberg and were looking for a place to have breakfast since we wanted a change from the standard hotel breakfasts that we often get on travels. Google recommended this place as one of the cafes nearby the hotel. Glad we followed the tip. The vegan and vegetarian sandwich that we had was freshly made and delicious. The Greek yoghurt “Good mood” more than lives up to its name. The service was very friendly and welcoming. The cakes looked delicious but unfortunately we were too full to try them. Will definitely be back when we are in the area again.

Had a chicken sandwich and it was delicious. Topped off my brunch with a cappuccino which was also great. The restaurant appears to be run by a family or group of people who really care about quality. I would have every meal here if it wasn’t so far from my hotel.

A great place for a great meal at a good price! I love their stuffed baked potatoes with their huge selection of fillings, including many vegetarian and vegan options. Service was very friendly and our food was prepared quickly. The portions are very large, and our veggie and hummus filled potatoes were very delicious. We will definitely return here again sometime soon!

Their stuffed potatoes are super delicious, the best I have eaten so far! The portions are big and you will not be disappointed ! A big plus point is, that their cakes are also very very tasty- I love the carrot cake you should try! The only thing is that after going there you will smell like a baked potato 🤣 but it is worth it!

It was a tasty soup - I tried Russian Soljanka - very concentrated and yum. The only thing that upset me was the price though, I found it a bit overpriced as I paid €10. I would definitely come more often if it would be reasonable (as an idea, for example, for students) The lady who served me was really friendly and sweet. They also have canned soups that you can use within a year, so cool!

Visited the food truck on multiple occasions and I’ve always had a good experience. My number 1 recommendation is the African Peanut soup with Pulled Chicken. Their Chilli con Carne has a very nice delicate flavour that can be customised with seasonings provided. The Moroccan Chickpea soup is a great option for vegans. I like that they have free toppings optionally. The Milchreis with Zimt+Zucker is very good. Each soup is very filling in its own way. Depending on your appetite level, you can pick the small or large.

Great traditional German food. Small seasonal menu with a few other Bavarian staples offered. They had a long wine list that included wines from all over the world. We stuck with a local wine the waitress recommend, it was delicious. Only one pils beer on the menu, it was light and refreshing. It's asparagus season, so all of the specialty menu meals included white asparagus. It was delicious. 100% would recommend.

The restaurant itself is one of the oldest buildings in Rothenburg. Staffs are super friendly, and the service was very quick even though they were busy. I think inside tables are better than outside terraces even in summer evenings.

The oldest building in Regensburg, this old tavern dates to the year 900! The food is amazing, the staff is funny and polite and the atmosphere is really cozy! Celebrated my birthday here with two friends and will gladly come back here when visiting Rothenburg next time. Just make sure to reserve a table in advance!

this was one of the best menu serving experiences me and my friend ever had. just to make sure everyone gets this right: this restaurant offers you a specific menu of the day (no regular menu to choose from) including a starter, 5 different main course choices and an incredible dessert. the way the staff treated us was just flawless, like we would not have been in a restaurant at all. it just seemed so perfect all the time. It felt like being invited over to an Italian friends house to taste all the delicious dishes their culture has to offer. i had the chance to eat swordfish for the first time and was overwhelmed by the experience. To all the negative comments here, i asked for specific things beforehand and they had no problem with telling me the prices or their handling with certain things. if you do not agree with that kind of service at all, please do not stay in the restaurant and complain afterwards. Just kindly tell the waiter that you didn't expect it and leave. i don't think that they would mind. i can recommend this restaurant 150% and i am looking forward to eating there again soon.

Coming for a second time - the place is very nice, better make a reservation a week in advance otherwise you might not get a table in the evening. This time we tried pizza - was ok, but we would rather recommend the pasta there. Starters and desserts were delicious and service was great.

Legit restaurant with solid food and specials galore. Service (5 stars un and of itself) is outstanding (attentive servers dressed well...even wiping off the condensation on the table from our cold drinks). Atmosphere is cozy close, prices are reasonable (accepts card). I am sorry I was too full for dessert. This is a great place for a proper meal either before/after flying in/out. Our highlight was the pizza of all things.

Very well located, but in a quiet private street. Staff is friendly and helpful. Italian style. They speak perfect English. And the food is just great. We had the mix of antipasti and a pizza. Both perfect and with very good bread aside. Wine list is comprehensive and reasonably priced. Something remarkable in Germany where finding good wine without spending a fortune is often complicated.

Fantastic hotel! So pretty and quaint in a lovely town, very near the main square. I wish we could have stayed longer than one night. Our bed was comfortable, and the room and bathroom were plenty spacious. Dinner and breakfast at the hotel were delicious, with large portions. The staff was friendly and spoke perfect English. I had a lovely 2 night stay! The room was comfortable and i love the windows that open! The gentleman that assisted with car parking and my bags was great! Breakfast was tasty with a decent selection. Parking add 18€, if you want the ac turned on it’s 5€ per day. Also to note the hotel is right in the heart of the walled town so there is some noise outside, the windows block out a lot but if you’re extra sensitive keep note.

Great overall experience. The deluxe rooms are spacious and beautiful. The restaurant is excellent. Only negative is that the Weinstube was used as overflow for the restaurant and therefore we were denied entry when we just wanted to enjoy a bottle of wine. I have never been told that we have to eat a meal to enjoy a bottle of wine in a Weinstube.

This lovely old hotel in the heart of Rothenburg is just fabulous. Great service, great breakfast, easy walk to everything. And a spa that was worth the price of the room by itself. I couldn’t be happier with my choice. I will be back.

Room was very warm even with the windows all open (no ac) and the bed was not comfortable - way too soft. The shower and bathroom were excellent. The restaurant was excellent. Location was fantastic! Parking attendent very nice and helpful! Was never told where to find the Wellness - Front desk should give guests more information, especially when staying in the second building.

The Hotel is located near the center of the old town. Parking is located about 200 meters away and a shuttle is provided. The room was quite small and doesn't allow staying for more than couple of days. Breakfast buffet was good with lots of variety.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but visited the restaurant for dinner- and we’re glad we did!! It was a busy midweek evening in early June, but they kindly managed to fit us in after we popped by (we’d only called to book about two hours before). Everything was excellent: the service, the food, the ambiance. They even welcomed our small dog to dine with us inside, which was a ideal for a nice restaurant. The highlight was the white asparagus soup, absolutely delicious. But everything else was too, as was the wine recommendations we asked the watier for. Thanks again to the team. We’d highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a special meal in Rothenburg.

A few minutes out of the busy center, this is a place to enjoy the best this region has to offer. I had the excellent Sauerbraten, which took me back to my childhood with its discreet sweetness and the surprising presence of cinnamon. The double portioned wine glasses were exceptionally good as well.

I was visiting the city and wanted something more local. I showed up spontaneously for dinner and the place was busy, super cozy, looking very traditional and then I got a table immediately. The food I ordered was delicious (pork) but everything I saw around me looked amazing. Fantastic dinner. Just a tiny bit more expensive, but very much worth it 😋

We’re reserved at 21:30 , arrived at 21:30 and our table was not ready … the time we had a seat they asked us to order because the kitchen was closing. We ordered our food and they asked us to order even the desert . So we ordered even the desert thinking it will come after the food , instead they brought everything together .. it was rude , and the staff was rude too … we didn’t really understand if it was racism or just a bad day . Would say the first one because we saw the others were not treated the same.

A great restaurant in the pedestrian area in the middle of Bayreuth’s old town. They have beautiful indoor dining areas and terrace seating on the street. They serve mainly traditional Bavarian dishes but we ordered chicken schnitzel and mackerel salad. Both of the were delicious and the foods came fast. The service was friendly but they seem a bit understaffed. On a Saturday afternoon, there was almost no available tables left but we could luckily find one table on the terrace. Reservation recommended.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! Why? Because I loved everything from the seating arrangement (the gap between the dining table and me was perfect), and the food was excellent!! The servers were very polite and friendly people. 😄 The ambience is charming and classy. We had Schäufele and Schweinebraten in Biersöße. Then we saw our server carrying a jar full of strawberry 🍓 juice and talked to him. He said it’s in-house fermented strawberry brew (alcohol free). It was slightly sour and yeasty but also sweet. If you’re in the area looking for a romantic lunch/dinner or a family outing even this is the place for you! 🫶🏻 I’ll definitely visit Oskar again. Once again this is one of the best German restaurants in Bavaria!! 👍🏼

Had the Sans Sache menu for dinner. The soup was very good but unfortunately the sausages did not have too much flavour compared to other restaurants in Nuremberg. One of the grilled sausages was even almost burnt as you can see on the pictures. The apfelstrudel was only correct, probably because it was not homemade. The best thing about the restaurant was the kind waitress that attended me.

We tried the sausage platter, which is perfect for tourists. You get to sample different styles of Nuremberg sausages. I personally liked the ones cooked with vinegar the most — they were refreshing and light. The 12 sausages were just the right amount for two people. The potato salad was incredibly tasty too!

Despite my very broken German and my friends not knowing any German, it was still really easy to get seated and order what we liked. Loved the location, the food, the atmosphere and staff. All were very nice! We needed a place that could accommodate a large party last minute and they took great care of us! Visited in the Fall on a work trip but planning to take the family when we visit during the Winter to see the Christmas Market.

This one is truly a hidden gem. The interior is really unique. Could be a museum by itself. The dishes were all delicious - and there are several vegetarian & vegan options. The prices are very moderate. Also the wines are great - we tried several. And we had some obstler schnaps after the food. Food and wine arrived swiftly, and tasted delicious. Staff was very friendly, and checked if we need anything regularly. And we had no issues at all speaking English. It was good, we made a reservation, as the tables were all used. Additionally, it is quite narrow inside, particularly in the connections between the roams, so leave your rucksacks and bags in the hotel.

One of our favorite things about Bavaria is the roasted pork with crackling(crispy skin). We usually order schweinshaxe or krustenbraten but on our stop here we tried the schäufele. Its a chunk or pork shoulder roasted with the skin on. It was AMAZING. Its very rare to get the meat very tender, and the skin crispy while still light and easy to chew. Usually its one of the other at best. This was exceptionally good. The crackling often becomes a bit tough or hard to cut into but this was so light, almost flaky. Ridiculously good. We had it near the start of our trip and we're still talking about it 12 meals later in Munich. We also shared a plate of obatzda cheese spread and I had a cup of fränkische Kartoffelsuppe. A potato soup with pieces of Nuremberger sausage in it. A soup like your Bavarian grandmother would make for sure. As far as the restaurant goes, I would say that the interior is a bit small but the outside is fine with a decent view if weather is good. Far more outdoor seating I think. The interior is actually very cute inside with a ton of rustic decor.

Call early and make a reservation!! They do have indoor seating, but it's very close quarters and HOT!! I don't think there is AC. You can sit outside, but I loathe cigarette smoke and it's *everywhere.* I ordered the turkey steak, roast vegetables, and baked potato. The potato was wrapped in foil so it was more of a steam potato. It was topped with creme fraiche, dill, and chives and good lord it was delicious. I'm not sure if I can eat another potato if not prepared tgis way!! The turkey wasn't cut properly so it was a tad chewy; but, it was still tasty. Very nice serving, I couldn't eat it all. My husband ate pork over spaetzel with creamy mushroom sauce. It was absolutely delicious!! Everything really came together with a lovely umami taste from the mushroom. The side salad had coleslaw with caraway seeds, wgich is my favorite addition to pep up boring coleslaw dressing. The dark beer he ordered was perfect with his meal. I would absolutely go back!

I’d say best food in town. Decent food, me and my wife enjoy it very much. However the serving time takes quite long and we only have 50mins because we did not reserve a table. People are coming in at 6pm. So i gotta finish everything in 30mins because it took long time for them to prepare. Nice food anyways!

Stopped in Rothenburg, during our road trip from Germany to Italy and back and had dinner at this restaurant, and honestly it was one of the most disappointing Italian meals we had on the trip. The place was overcrowded, which we thought was a sign of quality, but the food told a very different story. What was advertised as “authentic Italian” turned out to be mediocre at best — bland flavours, average presentation, and nothing that stood out. Even the drinks were disappointing — I ordered a beer and it came with a lemon wedge I never asked for (and hated). For the prices charged, the quality just didn’t match up. If you’re looking for real Italian food, this is not the place. Such a disappointment.

Burgers were fine tasting / not delicious but not bad - fries and drinks were spot on. The prices were elevated but service and ambiance was fantastic. While we enjoyed the meal, we felt it was over priced and would not return.

The service at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. It took them over an hour to bring the food, and when it finally arrived, they only served one portion even though we had ordered more. On top of that, their behavior felt racist and discriminatory, which made the whole experience very unpleasant. I would never recommend this place.

Went for dinner which was nice. Sat on swings as there were no normal tables available. The hostess did warn us they might be a little tight which they were but it worked. We were hungry. The staff all seemed really friendly and helpful. It’s a bit more expensive than your usual burger place but they do offer a great range. You buy the burger and choose the bun and then can add sides. I had the Zwiebelei (Chicken burger with Camembert & Caramelised onions). With the cheese and the onions it was one big mess which was great. Very tasty. The chicken was slightly chewy but not dry. My wife had the Wolpertinger (Spicy vegetable patty with vegan cheese and avocado cream). She wasn’t that impressed. Has had much better vegan burgers before as this just wasn’t that tasty. Also ordered a multi-grain bun but it came in a sourdough, didn’t say anything as we were starving. Bit of a shame as had potential.

Picked this place on the spot as everyone’s hungry from walking around the town…it looked very touristy but we were pleasantly surprised by the food, presentation, price and service! The servings were massive. This is easily one of the best meals we remembered during our 10 day road trip!

We went to Kachelofen with a group of 12 and received absolutely outstanding service. From the moment we called for the reservation through the meal the service by Christian was incredible. He took care of all the beer drinking adults and the many kids with attentiveness and a fun sense of humor. It is rare to see someone enjoy their job like he did. The food was excellent with hearty Franconian portions for a very reasonable price. Wish we lived closer by to go more often.

We enter this restaurant because it was impossible to find a kids friendly place around downtown Bamberg. We were super gladly surprised with the food and the staff. The menu is really traditional so it is a perfect place to give a try to the German cuisine. The food was really well done and good seasoned and the price portion was excellent. Also the place has a place to change diapers so it is family oriented, which sounds like a norm but believe me, in downtown bamberg it is not. A really nice surprise, totally recommend it!

This place changed my idea about German dishes 🤩🤩 I ordered Bamberger pork knuckle, and I am extremely satisfied with this dish. The meat was perfectly cooked (tender and juicy from inside and crunchy from outside). The fermented cabbage was really good and goes well with meat, sauce, and potato. In general we went there during the festival so the town was really great and you feel the nice vibes. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The price is affordable for such a big portion (was enough for two people). High-quality authentic German dishes. This place is highly recommended 👌

I wish we had booked to stay longer! Everything was AMAZING, everything from the ambiance to the food was perfect. The Hostess was kind and welcoming. I also have a gluten allergy and she made sure I was taken care of from breakfast to dessert. If you want to eat here be sure to go in and make a reservation because there were a lot of people coming and being turned away to eat because they were so busy.

Ate at the restaurant (didn’t know it was a hotel until now) it’s the best bavarian food I’ve ever had. It’s super authentic german food and I am surprised such small town has such high quality restaurants. Server lady speaks good English and was very kind. Place was packed but they cooked fast and good. We will definitely come to rothenburg again just to eat here again.

High quality food in generous portions served with a smile competently in several languages. For a semi-themed restaurant in a heavily touristifed town this is an appreciated and rare balance of style, quality and efficiency. I would recommend to anyone. House goulash: perfect, soul-feeding. Foods are delicious, ambiance is so authentic, but service is really slow. You should make reservations, especially on Friday and Saturday. In a nutshell, you should definitely experience the restaurant without worrying the serving time

Very good local restaurant with franconian food. Great service and reasonable price. But need to make reservation before. It can be a long line to get the table. It's took more than a hour for us.

Be careful of the waiter put the tips in the bill! 1st time when I went to this restaurant was in 2015, it was a very good experience and memorable. So that when I visited again the city before Xmas, I brought friends with me and introduced them this restaurant. The food was still ok, but the service was miserable. We don’t need someone speaking lots of different languages but at least English, that’s something important for the job. The worst part was he put the tips in the bill, instead of asking us if we appreciated his service. Yes, the guy originally from Morocco, honestly his service was disturbing and annoying. As I showed him the picture what I wanted, he still forgot. I had to tell the guy in the counter again in the middle of my meal. Honestly, I’ll not go there anymore just because of the service. It’s nothing to do with food and ambience. Hope the owner could train them well in the future.

The authentic Bavarian restaurant where personal is wearing “traditional” folklore clothing. Very interesting interior too. The good was good, but nothing too wow but tasty. The portions are huge, so be prepared.

One of Nuremberg's authentic, old-fashioned restaurants. At first we had to wait in line, but after half an hour—around 8:00 p.m.—we were lucky enough to get a small table for two. The waiters were rushing around frantically, serving many hungry customers, but they were still friendly and attentive. The food is expensive and delicious. It's worth stopping by and trying it, but be prepared for the crowds!

It was quite delicious both argentina meat and soups (pumpkin and french style onion) Keller bier is strictly recommended for starter and toilets are spotless, incredibly clean. After castle marathon it was a gift from heaven. You need to make reservations if possible

Wonderful old restaurant with hardy home cooked meals everyone who had a German grandma can relate and everybody else will appreciate it. If home cooked meals are your thing this is the place to go. The Schnaps selection is fantastic and sold right on sight

We ate at the tent at the Alt Stadt Fest. Food was just as good as the restaurant in the old town. Had sausages (of course) and onion bread/cake. Food was delicious and the servers are all friendly and attentive. Have been here many times since 2015.

Amazing old castle dungeon feel. Servers are lively and full of fun. The German food is not for me! The potato comes like a stress ball, spongy and bouncy. Weird.

1. Food: The dishes we ordered were well-presented, of good quality, and the portion sizes were satisfying. However, I found the prices slightly overpriced for what was offered. The overall food concept was also quite confusing. Many dishes seemed to be a fusion of various Asian cuisines, but without a clear or coherent theme. It made it difficult to understand the intention behind the menu. 2. Service: The staff were generally friendly and polite. However, I had one uncomfortable experience. We ordered a noodle dish that came with a small bowl of sweet and sour fish sauce (see the attached photo). At first glance, the portion of sauce seemed too small, so we asked if we could have a bit more. The server responded that he would check. About 10 minutes later, a different staff member brought more sauce and, without prior notice, informed us that it would cost 3 euros. We were quite surprised, as we had only asked whether it was possible and the staff said that he would check it. But at the end, there was no prior clarification about the charge, and we were not given a choice before it was brought and added to our bill. While this may seem like a small issue, the way they handled was wrong and unprofessional. It was disappointing. 3. Atmosphere: The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasant. However, for those who do not enjoy crowded or noisy places, it might not be the most comfortable environment. Overall: An okay place to visit—decent food and nice atmosphere—but some aspects of the service and concept need to be improved.

A very nice place with a warm and friendly staff. There are plenty of gluten-free options, and the menu is well-organized with clear English.

Very chill atmosphere, the sushi menu 1 is a recommendation. Don’t let the small shop scare you away from coming if the first floor is full. They got a second floor. The curry isn’t exactly spicy but it’s your typical curry.

Amazing and super friendly service! We had a great diner here for an amazing price. There is no (proper) AC, but this wasn’t that much of a problem. The spice level is very tolerable and the food was very tasty! Would definetly recommend.

Went for Sunday dinner. The place was busy but the service was great! The sushi taste fresh and delicious and so were the drinks. Highly recommend if you’re craving for some high quality sushi. Will definitely go back again!

Crispy duck you can’t go wrong. As the weather was hot we also tried the homemade lemonade… went down a treat! I had the Thai red curry duck this was nicely spicy 🌶️

Great place to eat! Right outside of the U station. I had the fried meat with white rice, and my wife had the egg fried noodles with chicken. Everything was freshly made to order, and drinks were tasty.. plus did they did the job. Would come back here again, and would recommend to friends.

My husband and I celebrated an early Valentine’s Day dinner at this restaurant while visiting from Miami, FL. We decided on this restaurant based on the high reviews and we were not disappointed. The food and drinks were superb. The owners were very nice and the ambiance was very relaxed. I highly recommend this 5 STAR restaurant!

I'm visiting from San Jose, California and craving for pho. I got chicken pho (German variation). Great taste, fast service, friendly server (probably owner). It was a hot September day. Order cool lemonade-macha. Just 1 block from my Best Western hotel city view.

It's out first time to visit Nerenburg, and that the first meal we tried. That's it! Chief and waitress comes from Vietnam, so the tasty is very close to Taiwan, and we enjoy the meal. They are kindly and willing to help, even help you to specialized the cooking non spicy for kids. If you want，ask for the Eastern sipcy chilly sauce.

Our receptionist told us this would be a nice place to start our dining experience while we’re here i and she was right we had the pork schnitzel, which was very good and I had a special salad with special mushrooms, which was also very good. it was a beautiful evening we sat outside. I would highly recommend this place if you’re in the city.

Very nice, busy place on a Saturday evening. Staff good even though it was really busy. Good schnitzel and burger. There is a courtyard where you can sit 'outside'. Would go again.

Service was a bit slow in the end, but the AC inside made the waiting worth it. Great location too, close to tourist attractions. It had an accessibility ramp for prams or wheelchairs. It had outside seating, but I didn't use it so I can't quite comment on it.

Came here for a late lunch and was absolutely fantastic. Food and restaurant was amazing! Recommend the liver dumpling soup which was very tasty as a starter and for the main course would recommend the veal schnitzel or the roast lamb.

An German restaurant decorated like you're sitting in the church. Consisted of outdoor and inside tables. The food was delicious, served in large portion. Wurzberger Riesling wine was really good. Beer also available. The service was good. Reservation was recommended.
