La Cucina

Italian restaurant
Pizza restaurant
La Cucina in Labuan Bajo is a beloved family-owned Italian restaurant known for its inviting ambiance and authentic cuisine. The charming trattoria-style setting exudes a cozy Mediterranean atmosphere with maritime-inspired decor in blue and white. The focus on simplicity and elegance is reflected in the carefully prepared dishes, reminiscent of homemade Italian meals. This restaurant offers genuine Italian flavors that transport diners to the heart of Italy, making it a must-visit dining destination in Labuan Bajo.
We visited La Cucina Labuan Bajo, which is under the same management as Alma, and really enjoyed our time there. A big plus is that they provide a free shuttle from the hotel, which makes it super convenient. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and the prices very affordable — perfect for sharing and enjoying with friends and family. We had a lot of food and a great time. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, which added to the warm atmosphere. I would definitely come back next time I’m in Labuan Bajo.

I ate dinner here twice and both times I was very satisfied. The pizzas are delicious and a good size (if you get the largest size). The prices overall are pretty reasonable (bit more on the expensive side). Nevertheless I really enjoyed eating here with my friends and the staff was great!
Rafaël E — Google review
la cucina is so popular among tourist. one of the best italian restaurant in bajo. ordered pizza, gnocchi, and spaghetti. they have large portion for just two of us. taste was good, cozy place. everything was nice :)
Jessica R — Google review
La Cucina is such a charming little gem! The cozy, inviting vibe makes you feel right at home. The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff are genuinely friendly and attentive, always making sure you have everything you need. A lovely spot worth coming back again!
Hang N — Google review
I felt this place was over rated. It is super crowded in the evenings so be prepared for a long wait. Food was average, nothing to write home about. They have gluten free pizzas and pastas, though the staff didn't seem properly educated on what gluten free actually means. But if you have gluten allergy and miss pizza or pasta, here's an option for you. I ordered a mixed vegetable pizza and it was just ok. The tuna I ordered was very... passable. Their tiramisu was disappointing, pannacotta was great.
Ashwita G — Google review
Restaurant with a pretty interior. They offer a variety of Italian dishes, even freshly made pasta. The gnocchi I had tastes great, although the sauce could use a little bit more seasoning in my opinion. On the other hand, the oreo milkshake I had was great.
Charlie S — Google review
A group of happy, smiling, very polite young staff serve you really fast with food that loudly tells you to come back. Truly good and tasty lunch big enough if you are hungry. Not expensive. Real pizza, delicious spaghetti, amazing tiramisu and fresh juices that you remember long after. Recommend!
Rafał B — Google review
The small pizza was really good! enough for me as one person. The cheese is really good and generously served. I recommend the pesto bruschetta also as a starter. Yani’s service is also great

Happy Banana Komodo

Mentioned on
5 lists
$$$$expensive
Japanese restaurant
Happy Banana Komodo, a Japanese fusion restaurant located in Labuan Bajo, is renowned for its delectable sushi and has earned a spot among the top five restaurants in the area on Tripadvisor. Visitors rave about the divine food, particularly the sushi and udon noodles. The menu offers many vegan options and unique variations of Buddha bowls such as the sea goddess' or geisha' bowls.
For whatever reason, there seems to be a lot of Japanese food on this island, and the Happy Banana does it super well. I was very happy to find a large selection of vegan items, including vegan katsu!! Not a common item to find. The food was wonderful, the service was quick and super nice, and some of the comfiest chairs I’ve sat in at a restaurant. For westerners looking for a break from the humidity- they had the AC blasting and was nice and cool after trekking back and forth with our bags and scuba gear. Would go again in a heartbeat.
Jason T — Google review
After several days eating Indonesian foods, it’s good to have a different cuisine. Salmon rolls was tasty but came with thin salmon. Noodle was topped with cooked tuna cube. The restaurant only serves tuna and salmon. I think that tuna is the best to be eaten raw not well done. As there is no pork on the island, therefore the noodles were quite limited for Japanese cuisine.
Sunyawit S — Google review
Please make yourself a favour and visit this place, not only they have tons of vegan options, they have a sustainable caught fish and eggs from free range. Additionally it’s led by all female team. The service is incredible and super nice, stuff speaks good English and are very friendly (I ordered cappuccino with oat milk, they gave me accidentally a cow milk instead and when I pointed it out they were super professional and solved the situation with zero stress and were very apologetic - exactly what you want in this scenario ❤️). Thank you so much and hopefully I will have a pleasure to visit again. Ahh and the tofu katsu wrap was incredible 🤤.
Rebecca Š — Google review
Very good food and lovely atmosphere and service. Great selection inc lots of veggie and vegan options, all day breakfast etc. Vegan poke bowl and veggie katsu bowl were amazing, smoothies all very good and fresh and coffee great too. Prices are decent for the quality and freshness. Good healthy food.
Aaron F — Google review
This place was recommended to us by some people living in the area as their "favourite place to eat", and I have to say it did not disappoint. For breakfast the omelette was nice though the smoothie bowl had clearly been standing for a short amount of time and was very cold. For dinner we had a sushi platter. The sushi was good quality. There are a lot of options which can be a bit overwhelming but nice to have a choice I guess. Food was not incredibly special and a bit on the expensive side so 5 stars is stretching it a bit but if you are not on a tight budget and looking for a place to eat this is definitely a good option if not the best in the area.
W. V — Google review
best restaurant in town! We have been here several times for breakfast and dinner and it always tasted delicious. If you’re a vegan you will find plenty of options (:
Melanie N — Google review
The food met our expectations, the staff were friendly, and the meals were prepared quickly. Everything was reasonably priced. The restrooms were clean. Overall, everything was perfectly fine.
Josef Z — Google review
A very good Japanese restaurant with a beautifully designed interior. The food and service were excellent, and while the prices are on the higher side, the quality justifies it. The indoor area can get a bit noisy when it’s crowded, but overall it is definitely worth recommending.

Taman Laut Handayani Seafood Restaurant Labuan Bajo

Mentioned on
4 lists
$$$$affordable
Seafood restaurant
Taman Laut Handayani Seafood Restaurant in Labuan Bajo is a great choice for seafood enthusiasts looking for a delightful dining experience with a view. While the seafood may not be the absolute best in town, it is still of good quality and reasonably priced, especially when considering the breathtaking scenery from their terrace. For those seeking a more laid-back atmosphere, Artomoro is an Indonesian restaurant that also serves seafood and provides a more relaxed vibe.
We had dinner here on our last night in Labuan Bajo. The restaurant was spacious and has fine dining vibes. We were lucky got seat with view overlooking the city below. It was beautiful. The waitress were friendly and accommodating. Really impressed with their top notch service. Food were delicious and fresh with affordble price and enough portions. It even cheaper than you eat at fish market. They also have clean toilet, which I found plus point.
Dessy D — Google review
Amazing view. Food was good but service was a bit on slower end and very dark if you choose to do the outdoor seatings. Ordered a variety food and taste pretty good. More on the pricier end.
Early S — Google review
Had the best solo Birthday dinner here. Ordered a little way to much for myself but who cares. I only turn 44 once. Service was great. The waiter even told me if i ordered too much. The view of the sunset was the highlight of the evening. During peak season, better make a reservation for your spot viewing the sunset.
Han S — Google review
Great food, no joke best fried cuttlefish I had! so tender inside crispy outside and I could finish a whole plate by myself. Came on two days and the fish is really good too, first time having fish bbq and the fish with lychee sauce is also good. Chicken satay was a bit dry since they didn't use chicken thigh/leg I suspect its breast meat. The soup was really good tastes like thai curry! The sunset view here is also gorgeous highly recommended!
Weny — Google review
Visited Taman Laut Seafood Handayani Restaurant last night. The staff were friendly and accommodating — they even helped us move to a table with the best view once it became available. The food was delicious. We ordered sweet sauce grilled fish, salted egg squid, chili kangkong with papaya flower, grilled clams, stir-fried broccoli with beef, and seafood fried rice. Everything tasted great. It would have been even better if the fish had been more thoroughly marinated. Overall, great experience!
Yeo N — Google review
The seafood is good! There's not much option for a solo traveller and I've chosen a platter of seafood that is meant for solo portion. Squid and prawn was my favourite! Its a chill spot to watch the sunset. The only downside is that you will have to go earlier to book your spot for the sunset view. I would definitely visit again!
Beverly H — Google review
I ordered 4 main dishes: cumi bakar madu (honey-grilled squid), udang saus mentega (prawns in butter sauce), tumis kangkung bunga pepaya (stir-fried kangkung with papaya flowers), and ikan bakar dua rasa (grilled fish with two flavors— rica and parape). And of course, as any Indonesian would, I had to get sambal pencit to go with the grilled fish. Every dish was tasty and flavorful. My personal favorites were the prawns in butter sauce and the parape-style grilled fish—perfectly seasoned! Overall, I’d definitely recommend dining here. Plus, the view is absolutely beautiful 🌊✨
Dyta T — Google review
This restaurant serves a variety of delicious seafood dishes, complemented by stunning sunrise views. Prices are quite reasonable, and portions are generous. Reservations are recommended to avoid a full booking, as this restaurant offers stunning views from every angle.

Nestled away from the bustling main road and overlooking a different part of the harbor, Bajo Bay Fisherman's Club is a two-story restaurant offering predominantly Western cuisine with a touch of Indonesian flavors. The menu boasts an extensive selection of seafood and meat dishes, with an emphasis on fresh catches from the Bajo Sea. Located on the outskirts of Labuan Bajo, Flores, this seafood eatery provides outdoor seating and parking for visitors.
Love love love the food here! The taste is so rich! The portion is big! The place is nice and cozy. I came here for lunch, so I can eat while enjoying the Port’s view. The staffs were friendly and helpful. You should taste the fish and chips and the grill fish. I loved it!
Destaria F — Google review
Good view from the upper floor and good design interior as well. But I think they have to improve the menu variety. Indonesian/Asian menu is not available. They don't even have pasta on their menus. And yes please add light meals because some people doesn't comes here for a heavy one.
Tika T — Google review
Brilliant food, good service and fresh juices. It's a very stylish place with a lovely view. Probably the nicest place in town.
Carolin P — Google review
Nice location, great food, ambient music.. but the drink prices with added tax at 16% is extortionate even for a water. Everything else even the service provided was top notch. Highly recommend, but not for the budget traveller unless you've got a cheque book. The dessert quantity and the taste was 5*
Billyroke — Google review
Delicious food, really cool building and decor, great staff and service, super view from the upstairs restaurant, reasonable prices (500k Rupiah for meal for two including starter, drinks and taxes). One of the few gems you will find in Labuhanbajo.
Andrew F — Google review
Very slow service, i think we waited for more than 30mins for our food. Food is tasty. Try their seafood platter.
Esteffania — Google review
One of the best and value for money restaurants in Labuan Bajo. Definitely must try their dishes.

Hong Signature Restaurant

Restaurant
Hong Signature Restaurant is a must-visit for those seeking comfort and an exceptional seafood experience. While renowned for their seafood, the restaurant also offers delectable fried rice dishes that are considered among the best globally. The fusion of Indonesian, Chinese, and Western flavors sets this establishment apart. Whether it's the mouthwatering Black Pepper Crab or the delightful fried rice options, Hong Signature Restaurant promises a memorable dining experience in Labuan Bajo.
One of the most proper Chinese restaurant in Bajo! Has been here twice and their food always properly cooked. Price a bit high but considering most of cafe here has the same price as Bali, it’s understandable. One person is around 100k including drink. The service always friendly and fast response. Overall, This place is highly recommended.

🌊🍽️ If you’re in Labuan Bajo, make sure to stop by Hong Signature Restaurant! This gem is a must-visit for an incredible seafood experience combined with the best fried rice dishes around. With a unique fusion of Indonesian, Chinese, and Western flavors, every bite is a delight! From the mouthwatering Black Pepper Crab to their amazing fried rice, you’re in for a memorable meal. Don’t miss out! 🌟🦀🍚

The moment I sat down—completely alone—I started wondering if those “great reviews” might actually be fake, as some people had pointed out. Sadly, it seems likely. I ordered the grilled Nasi Ikan Bakar, and the difference between the thick fillet shown on the menu and the flat, bony piece I got was… impressive, in the worst way. It tasted burnt and oddly sweet, and when I flipped it over, the underside was completely black. Don’t these people know that’s actually unhealthy? Definitely wouldn’t come back.
Juan C — Google review
Craving for Chinese foods so i came here ,staff are friendly and so helpful but to be honest not really authentic Chinese foods but it’s better than nothing :) It’s value for money as it’s cheap .
Meisy J — Google review
We went Back to this place for the second time as well for dinner. We loved there Hong signature sauce in prawns, lobster & softshell crab. Must try seafood restaurant on the island and Hong suace is sweet and sour taste, will be appreciated by folks with Chinese & Curry lovers. All of the food we tried was fresh and tasty. I rate 4 because not all dishes hit 5 for me, mostly did though. After spending 2 weeks in this island, I would definitely recommend few meals here for seafood.
Aditi S — Google review
This could be the most authentic Chinese food in Indonesia (two thumbs up to the chef). Even though the food potion is a bit small (so make sure you order a little more), yet each dish comes with big taste. The restaurant extremely clean and the AC is cold enough to allow better comfort and enjoyment. The service staff is very friendly and attentive. It fully satisfied two world travelers’ craving for authentic Chinese food!
Chris W — Google review
The photo of tomyam seafood vs the actual tomyam seafood 😂😆
Amasec A — Google review
The vibe of the place is amazing. Unfortunately, foods that were ordered were below par. Har gao ordered was mediocre. Fried wonton was oily. Black pepper crab was meatless. Surprised that it has high rating. I hope it can improve significantly

Artomoro Restaurant and Grill

Seafood restaurant
Indonesian restaurant
Artomoro Restaurant and Grill may not offer extravagant dishes, but it provides reasonably priced meals. It's a popular choice among local tourists seeking a step up from the night market. The Flores-style sambal, made with tomatoes and chilies, resembles a flavorful Mexican salsa with a spicy kick. This restaurant is located in Soekarno-Hatta, Labuan Bajo, Flores and offers Asian cuisine including barbecue and seafood for lunch and dinner.
I had an unforgettable dining experience at Artomoro Restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The vibe of the place is cozy yet elegant, perfect for a relaxed lunch or a romantic dinner. But let’s talk about the food. absolutely delicious! Every dish was packed with rich, authentic flavors and beautifully presented. You can really taste the love and passion that goes into the cooking. Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! And big shoutout to the waiters — super friendly, professional, and always attentive without being intrusive. They made the whole experience feel even more special. If you're in the area and looking for a place that serves great food with a great atmosphere, Artomoro is a must-visit! Can’t wait to come back again. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Kareldus A — Google review
Overall experience from this place is amazing, great atmosphere, beautiful flowers everywhere, very clean environment and friendly waitress. The only disappointment was food 🫣 dry meat with sauce that tasted like tomatoes from canned sardines, and eggplant so oily you could squeeze it to the cup 🤦‍♂️ first time in few months in Indonesia where I really didn’t enjoy the food I was served.. but it could be just my taste 🤷‍♂️
Tomáš T — Google review
It located just a few steps from our hotel. Just located in the heart of bustling city. The ambience was elegant, menu has a lot ot varieties. Seafood was so fresh. The price is ok for a local restaurants. Not so cheap but not so expensive. People are very kind.

Pondok Mai Ceng'go Labuan Bajo is a spacious traditional Manggarai-themed restaurant that offers a wide range of Indonesian specialties, including delicious seafood dishes. Located in the heart of Labuan Bajo, this restaurant provides ample outdoor seating for guests to enjoy their meals. It's the perfect spot to savor authentic Indonesian cuisine while taking in the vibrant atmosphere of East Nusa Tenggara.
I had a truly wonderful experience at Mai Cenggo Café. The service was incredibly friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. One highlight for me was the Black Komodo-flavored ice cream—I highly, highly recommend it to all my friends! The view was also unforgettable—so stunning and pleasing to the eyes, it really added to the whole experience.

one staff is really rude. She was showing very bad facial expression that she does bothered that I ordered. I asked iced lime juice and she brought without iced . I asked iced she said there is ice in it that clearly there was no ice in the glass. She gave me very bad look and left. Can’t believe it what just happened. Worst service ever!

This is the place if you're looking for good Indonesian foods. We enjoyed some delicious vegetarian snacks. We'd especially like to praise the warm and kind staff, who even took the time to teach us a few words in Indonesian. The ice cream we had afterwards was excellent as well! Terima kasih 🙂

I had the nasi goreng kepiting mai ceng'go and another time I had the ikan goreng rempah mai ceng'go. The nasi had lots of rice and very little crab, but tasted good. I didn't like the taste of the latter. I think the dishes are better to be shared, because it's a lot of one type of food. The ikan for example only consisted of fish, nothing else. The interior and atmosphere were very nice.

Pondok Mai Ceng'go in Labuan Bajo is a delightful spot that captures the essence of local charm and hospitality. Nestled in a serene part of the town, this eatery offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere perfect for a relaxing meal. The menu features a range of delicious, home-cooked Indonesian dishes, all prepared with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. We particularly enjoyed their signature seafood options, which were both flavorful and satisfying. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service, making you feel right at home. Pondok Mai Ceng'go is a wonderful place to experience the culinary delights of Labuan Bajo.

Great atmosphere, friendly staffs. The Nasi goreng and dishes were good. Except for the Asam Pedas sup Ikan, the fish were still raw inside and we requested to change the fish but they did not change it instead they recooked the whole thing which is quite disappointing.. Overall we were satisfied with the food there except for that soup.

This restaurant offers a variety of favorites like ravioli, risotto, pizza, and tiramisu. What makes it stand out is its convenient services including takeout, food delivery, as well as guest pick-up and drop-off.
This restaurant serves delicious, authentic Italian food. We especially liked the burrata, pasta and tiramisu. Portions were just right. They have a nice selection of Italian wines. Excellent service. Staff were warm, pleasant, and attentive. They offer free hotel pickup and drop off. A must visit in Labuan Bajo.

We had the cheese platter, pizza marco and marinara risotto, and it was all delicious! Especially the cheese platter. It's so hard to find good cheese platters here in Asia but they really nailed it. The risotto was tasty and creamy, and the pizza was really good as well. I genuinely don't understand why this place doesn't have higher ratings.

Probably the best Italian food we’ve had in all of Southeast Asia! 🇮🇹✨ The pizza was absolutely fantastic. The starters were incredible too, with a freshness and quality you usually only find in Italy itself. The pasta dishes were another highlight, cooked to perfection, full of flavor, and beautifully presented, making them truly special. 🍝✨ What impressed us most was the product quality: everything felt premium, carefully selected, and prepared with real dedication. You can tell there’s someone highly ambitious behind this place, almost heading towards fine dining level. 🍷🍝 The service was outstanding. Especially Claudia and her colleagues, who were extremely friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made us feel at home right away. Combined with the beautiful presentation and elegant atmosphere, it all came together perfectly. A true culinary highlight we can fully recommend. Incredibly delicious, beautifully plated, and at a standard you rarely find in Southeast Asia. 🌟

Ambiance is good. Taste is ok. But the food came out lukewarm, like a lot of the food in Indonesia. It would have been better if the food came out hot. Service is also good. A bit expensive for what it is though.

We honestly can’t believe we stumbled across this Italian restaurant here — what an incredible find! The food is so fresh and authentic, it felt like we were dining in Italy. Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully prepared. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was warm and relaxed. Their pick-up and drop-off service is such a great touch — so convenient and adds to the whole experience. Such a rare find in this part of the world — we’ll definitely be coming back! Warung Mama is a popular Indonesian restaurant in Labuan Bajo, known for its pick-and-choose concept. Diners can select their base of rice or noodles and then choose from a variety of dishes such as fried chicken, eggs, chicken curry, sautéed tempe in soya sauce, and fish in curry sauce. The restaurant charges per dish based on the number of portions or pieces served.
Warung Mama is the restaurant we liked most in Labuan Bajo. Went there multiple times. The food is cheap and very good. Food is pre-made. You can choose different dishes for your meal, hence test different food in one goal. Around 60k-70k per person for one portion of meat/fish + two vegetables + rice + fruit juice. Highly recommended for people who is seeking authentic Indonesian food in labuan Bajo.
L S — Google review
It's a popular place - seen a few travelers coming and going while we were eating there. I recommend dropping by earlier in the day because your food will be fresher & warmer! They got 3 different choices of rice: white, red, yellow. A couple of dishes to pick from. It's not very cheap but considered okay priced.
Clarissa E — Google review
Variant choice for guest choose. All price are described clearly. Clean & fast service. There points are voted for restaurant. The taste is quite normal, compared with normal local food I enjoyed. And a bit expensive. Hm.. because here is Labihan Bajo!! I just feel too hot to seat there. And somehow I have impression that staffs are not really pay attention gentlely to serve. Maybe I'm too sensitive.
Yen N — Google review
A small restaurant located upstairs opposite the sky tower hotel. Seating has wooden chairs with no padding but still comfortable and clean. The food here is not by menu but by dishes pre made. There are a few different dishes including dishes suitable for vegetarians including tempeh, potatoe balls, vegetable fritters and egg plant in sauce. There are also dishes containing fish, beef and chicken. We didnt see any pork dishes but there are many muslims in the area so I think pork is not used in many places throughout LBJ. The food we took was very tasty, well cooked and a good portion size to. I had 5 different dishes with a yellow rice and my girlfriend had 4 dishes with yellow rice, a water and a Sprite which all came to just over 100,000IDR which is great value and can be good for those on a budget. The yellow rice was really good, very fragrant! Drinks were limited to just water and Sprite. Service was friendly helpful and informative from all of the girls. A great place to eat Indonesian food at a budget price!!

Perhaps affordable food in Labuan Bajo. They have many variants of Indonesian food. You may pick fresh fish soup or beef rendang and 3 choices of rice. Come earlier avoid long que. The price range start from 30K, budget meal with happy belly.

Really nice Warung to get large variety of local food with decent price. All dishes are clearly priced, which makes it easy to control how much you will pay at the end. The staff was friendly and the food really tasty. The place offer also a nice view over the street. I recommend this place.

Loved this place and visited a few times while in LBJ. There are many options changing every day and you can select what you’d like. If you choose veggie dishes you’ll spend less than 30k. Better to go for lunch because when we stopped for dinner one evening, it seemed that the dishes may have been left over from lunch.

Green Cherry at Eco Tree Otel in Labuan Bajo offers a unique dining experience with Asian and Mediterranean influences. The restaurant, located by the ocean, provides a relaxed ambiance and visually appealing culinary creations for lunch and dinner. It serves a mix of Asian and Western dishes, making it suitable for diverse groups. Additionally, the restaurant is praised for its delicious and varied cuisine as well as its eco-responsible approach.
Majestic design of the building is hardly miss by the public who walk by the main touristic street of Labuan Bajo. The Dutch style gable roof with local building materials mixed well and create a astonishing architecture statement. The foods are great and serves in reasonable speed, you don't have to wait too long. The staff are friendly and helpful. The view from the restaurant is breathtaking, with the port, the sea and the many islands in distance. Didnt get to try the massage since not enough masseurs available when we were there. Very recommended!

This is a decent restaurant with views across the sea. We’ve been here twice now as a family, and had decent food both times. We had roast chicken, pizzas, Tom yam soup, stuffed chicken, calamari all of which was a 4/5 The place has 2 floors and the downstairs is cooler. There is only 1 toilet

Killer view and great ambience. The place feels open and inviting for any type of dining. We tried several dishes and the most memorable was pizza and tuna carpaccio. Really recommend to at least try this place once when in Labuan Bajo!

Another view of sunset, and great vibes to chill with friends. We were so hungry, we only took pictures together with pizza. After that, when our respective orders came, mix of western and asean cuisine, everyone dig into their food so quickly and quietly.

extremely pricey for the low quality. I paid 170k for an overcooked pasta and pineapple juice. The bolognese barely had any meat and was watery. The menu said the tagliatelle is homemade but it's definitely not homemade pasta. My pineapple juice tasted like water too. The place itself has a great view and perfect for sunset, but crawling with ants.

Great view out to sea. Little wait for the food to come but that grilled fish was really delicious. Light and well seasoned with spices. Definitely one dish to try.

Bandara H. Hasan Aroeboesman Ende

Airport
Bandara H. Hasan Aroeboesman Ende is a charming little airport that offers a pleasant experience for travelers. Located just a short stroll from the Ikhlas and Safari Hotels, it’s easily accessible, though taking an ojek can be more convenient if you're carrying heavy luggage. The new terminal stands out with its cleanliness and modern design, making it one of the most comfortable spots in Ende.
The airport is small but pleasant and clean. My flight was delayed for several hours due to bad weather. There are only a few shops near the departure gate, including a coffee café and a grocery store. Waiting for a long time can be a bit boring. At the arrival gate, there is only one baggage area and no currency exchange services. Taxis are available, with fares to the city costing 60,000 IDR and to Moni costing 600,000 IDR (prices as of June 2024). If you want to make exchange, the Euro is preferred and you have to go the bank such BNI bank in the city.

This is a beautiful airport with brand-new materials. It is really really clean. And there’s a great little coffee shop. This is a wonderful airport !

A very small airport with a nice view during take-off/landing.. arrived 2 hours before my scheduled flight on friday afternoon and apparently it was too early.. airport was still closed and i was instructed to come 1 hour before my flight.. other than that it was a pleasant experience flying from this airport.

Cute airport but the airport staff really need some upskilling. The lounge prepares food at snail’s place, taking 45 mins to an hour for one dish to come out. 😂😂 Eventually the noodles come out with meat despite repeated requests to make it vegetarian Flight has been delayed for 4 hrs because of volcanic eruption but no announcement or signs 😣 Better to head to LBJ by road unless you are feeling lucky

This is a small airport in small town that has unique runway. The runway has soil wall at one tip and hilly area at another one.
Jawoto S — Google review
A tiny airport which only serves 7 flights daily to 4 destinations: Labuan Bajo, Kupang, Ruteng, or Tambolaka. This airport is the closest to Kelimutu National Park, with the next closest being in Maumere. Its apron could only handle a propeller plane at a time. When you leave the arrival hall, there will be a lot of aggressive drivers offering you services to Kelimutu or around Flores. If you plan to explore the city first, this airport is right on the city's main road, so there is no need to rent a taxi. Take-off and landing must be done from/to the east side, facing a mountain. It will be one of your most memorable take-off/landing because the aircraft must make a sharp 90deg turn. Flights (mostly Garuda flights) occasionally abort the landing process if the weather is unfavourable and divert the flight to Kupang or Labuan Bajo.

Small airport. But have nice view and the service is quite good.

A small but also a nice airport. From this airport you can enjoy the view out Mount Meja. It is very interesting if you can find out the legend of mount Meja, mount Iya, and Mount Wongge. You also get a wonderful sensation when the plan on a lanfing process. You can see many mountain and it feels like your plan is at the top of the sea and almost touch the sea. It was great!

Fransiskus Xaverius Seda Airport

Airport
Fransiskus Xaverius Seda Airport, commonly known as Maumere Airport (IATA code: MOF), is a charming gateway located in the picturesque town of Maumere on Flores Island, Indonesia. This small yet well-equipped airport caters to both locals and tourists, providing essential services and amenities that enhance the travel experience. Regular domestic flights connect this hub to major Indonesian cities like Jakarta, Denpasar, Surabaya, and Makassar through airlines such as Wings Air.
Welcome back to Maumere of Flores.. hv different flights from another city, the flights connect to Kupang and Denpasar.. it's one of the busy airport in NTT ✈️✈️✈️

The airport is closed until the 31th of October 2024 due to the volcanic ash of the Lewotobi volcano. They don't give much information online about it. We went there and the lady at the office from Lion/Wingsair gave us this explanation and also gave us a declaration for insurance/ticket refunds. For getting out of Flores, Larantuka airport is an alternative or go all the way back to Labang Bajo, as Bajawa and Ende are closed as well.

Small but nice airport. There are several flight here from Garuda, NAM, Transnusa, sushi air, and wings air. This is where you started to explore Maumere. The waiting room is also comfortable enough.

Frans Seda Airport, located in Maumere, is a small yet well-equipped airport that serves the needs of this modest town in NTT. Despite its size, the airport offers a range of amenities that make it quite sufficient for the local population and visiting tourists. The primary airline operating here is Wings Air, and flights are often fully booked, reflecting the demand for air travel to and from this region. The airport is clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable waiting area for passengers. There are several facilities available, including a small café where travelers can grab a snack or drink while waiting for their flight. The check-in and security procedures are efficient, ensuring a smooth experience for passengers. However, there are areas for improvement. The availability of more frequent flights could help accommodate the high demand, as the current schedule sometimes makes it challenging for travelers to find seats. Additionally, expanding the range of services offered, such as more dining options and shops, would enhance the overall passenger experience. Overall, Frans Seda Airport plays a crucial role in connecting Maumere with other parts of Indonesia. With a few enhancements, it could provide an even better gateway for tourists and locals alike, supporting the region's growth and accessibility.

It's good airport on the east part of Flores island, Indonesia. So, if you do Flores island trip together with Komodo tours to the islands of Komodo national park Indonesia, here is the place to start. Then you will be ending in Komodo aiport in Labuan Bajo town, in the western part of Flores island.
