Café Melinjo - French Flavor is a charming café in Labuan Bajo that offers a delightful fusion of French bakery and pastry techniques with local Indonesian culture. The owner, who hails from France, ensures an authentic experience with offerings such as croissants, cannele, and baguettes.
Wonderful breakfast/brunch spot! Food was delightfully flavored and the juices were fresh (not filled with syrup). Great portion sizes too. They had a perfect variety of breakfast choices and healthy options. The cafe is located on the second floor of the building and directly on the right, with views of the harbor. Although inside seating is limited, there are tables out on the terrace as well.
Lissa V — Google review
Good food, beautiful view and super friendly staff. One of the reasons we enjoyed Labuan Bajo so much was this Cafe. The cold press juices are wonderful! But the highlight is the butter croissant. So simple, yet so delicious. Highly recommend!!
Vicente B — Google review
Delicious pastries with a truly authentic French flavor. Our croissant and lemon bread were served warm, toasted, and scrumptious. I also ordered a green juice with fresh ginger and it was perfectly prepared. Service was friendly and the setting was beautiful, right on the bay, overlooking the ships of Labuan Bajo. Highly recommend!
Erick T — Google review
Wow... a MUST GO!!! All of the food we had was absolutely delicious! They are located on the second floor of the mall. Breakfast or Lunch, you will not be disappointed. Matter of fact, im willing to bet you will go more than once if you have the time. Food is amazing and the staff are great as well.
Andres P — Google review
Went here for 2nd breakfast coz I had a coffee at another coffee shop early morning. The Hot latte taste not suite me. The coffee bean more to acidic as I can teste sour in my coffee. The consistency was just nice. Pastry: just average. I mean it met my expectations.
Sufian — Google review
The service was amazing. The staff were all incredible friendly and sweet. We ordered a smoothie and a fresh juice which were delicious as the fruits were fresh. The pain au chocolat was also made at a high quality (even for our French standards). The view was a perfect spot to watch the sunset and enjoy an afternoon snack. Would definitely recommend stopping by CAFE Melinjo if you are in Labuan Bajo.
Jean-Marc P — Google review
Love the vibes and quality of the Cafe - always go here after shopping at Blood + Bone where i can finally get good quality fashion in Bajo :)

Bajo Bakery is a delightful gem nestled in a charming three-story building that also houses a vibrant Mexican restaurant. This unique spot not only offers delectable baked goods, including fresh brown bread rolls and mouthwatering Italian rolls filled with mozzarella, tomato, and basil but also serves up healthy breakfast options like granola with fruits and yogurt. The inviting atmosphere is enhanced by the friendly staff and the refreshing breeze that sweeps through the café.
Very welcoming owner opened us the door and greeted us with the smell of freshly baked cookies. I had the big breakfast for around 58k and it was very nice (the burger like bun with pesto bacon and fried egg comes with a free coffee) My girlfriend had the bakers delight with really nice apple cinnamon jam and Flores honey. We ordered also a brownie which was good! View is great as well, would surely come again!
Jan P — Google review
Good value for money and good food. Fresh brown bread rolls and nice local coffee and strong espresso. Liked the cafe, nice breeze and good view. Unfortunately on the second visit the waitress took my order wrong and I ended up paying more for it. On my final visit we were given day old bread rolls which was a shame because the first time I really enjoyed having fresh bread. Would recommend the Italian roll with mozzarella, tomato and basil, and the healthy breakfast of granola, fruits and yoghurt.
Charlie T — Google review
Good food with a great view! Three floors with a connecting taco place next door. Friendly staff also. Coffee was good. They also serve delicious bowls!
Clarissa E — Google review
Good but not extraordinary smoothie bowl and iced coffee. View from the top floor is very nice. Prices are acceptable, smoothie bowl was 45k and coffee 18k (as of Nov 2018, not including 10% tax). Wifi password is "sweet&spicy"
Henrique D — Google review
After 5 days on a boat trip we were craving healthy yummy food and we found it here! We just loved it and would recommend to anyone who is enjoying breakfast as much as we do. The avocado guacamole sandwich with tomato and goat cheese was just prefect!
Cathy K — Google review
Went to the bakery in the early evening. Nothing much left on display. Took away a pear cake. It was okay, not very sweet but felt a bit dry. Would recommend those wanting to visit this place to come before 1pm!
Tarcisus H — Google review
Expensive and mñeh, small portions without any great flavor. The Greek sandwich didn't have anything special, the bread was hard. I had to ask them to toast it a little bit and it tasted slightly better. I wanted to come for the pastry after but I think I won't give it a chance anymore..

Task fresh bread and sandwiches. My favorite is the tuna + bacon. I'm looking forward to trying out the breakfast

Coffee shop
The Carpenter Cafe and Roastery is a highly recommended coffee shop that combines the flavors of Sumatran and Java beans to create an exquisite blend. The owner personally mixes these beans in LB, resulting in a truly delightful coffee experience. Alongside their deliciously baked cakes, this cafe also offers simple fried fish, squid, and chicken dishes on its upstairs green-painted warung.
Lovely little coffee shop serving a good selection of baked goods. Strong proper flat white. We enjoyed the bomboloni (little Italian style chocolate stuffed doughnuts) and the chocolate banana cake. Both served warm with melted chocolate. A treat! Great aircon too if you're looking to escape the heat.
Tahlia H — Google review
The flat white I ordered was alright but my friend who ordered an iced latte was very sour and over extracted. I think the coffee is not very consistent. However WiFi is good and I could work here for a couple of hours. Good service! Hopefully the coffee is better when I visit again.
Michelle L — Google review
Highly recommend cafe serving authentic locally sourced coffees from Bajawa and Manggarai. Very affordable, and strategically located on the main road in Labuan Bajo tourist hot spot. Most importantly, the staff are super friendly. Very nice cafe with outdoor area for smoking. P.S. Best seller: Es Kopi Susu Gula Aren! Heavenly!!!
D W — Google review
Cafe Carpenter is one of my favorite coffee spots in Labuan Bajo. The place has such a chill vibe, cozy, quiet, and super comfortable for hanging out or getting some work done. The coffee here is really good. I especially love their double milk coffee it’s strong, creamy, and just perfectly balanced. You can tell they know what they’re doing behind the machine. The staff are also super friendly and easy to talk to. They always greet you with a smile, which makes the place feel really welcoming. It’s the kind of café where you can just sit for hours and feel at home. If you’re around Labuan Bajo, definitely stop by Cafe Carpenter. Great coffee, nice people.
Mell F — Google review
I love a good coffee. In a cool and chill place. The super friendly crew at Carpenter’s know how to prepare one. My morning ritual: one hot cappuccino, and a choice of the delicious ‘side dishes’ 😉 - oat cookies, carrot cake. All for great prices as well. Go to Labuan Bajo? Check out Carpenter’s!!
Joost W — Google review
So.. this is not my very first time to order Coffee from Carpenter. I literally bought this coffee everyday via Kawan Bike. Until i noticed it a month ago that the coffee quantity is getting shorter and it's irregular like today is shorter and the next day it's full. I've tried to complained to the barista i said why the coffee is getting shorter than usual? And the barista said it is the same only the ice could make it different volume. The measure for a cup of coffee is 180ml. Well yea ok, but if you see the picture are you sure it is 180ml compared to other cups (someone who order latte)? How do you measure? 180ml with or without ice? And today i bought 1 litre and when i saw the bottle i knew instantly it was not 1000ml/1 liter so i measured by my own and it showed 900ml, where was the 100ml going? What is going on here? P.s: if the video duration only for 30scds, i am happily to provide the original length video bcs perhaps google cut the video duration.
Odelle D — Google review
Good taste of coffee and chill vibe. The service is very nice.

We decided to get some food after going to the Rangko Cave. We order a smoothie bowl, Brizo bowl, iced caramel macchiato, and latte. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. They greet you with a smile and cold bottle water. They have free WiFi that works great. I would recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

It has quickly become a popular spot for breakfast, with an array of delicious and diverse options to choose from. I had breakfast here and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is very nice, with a bit of music in the background and a pleasant smell. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They offer a menu-based breakfast where you can select 4 items from different categories, and the quality and selection were excellent. The food tasted great, the portion size was just right, and everything was prepared quickly and beautifully presented. I also ordered a mango juice on top, which was fresh and delicious. Overall, I had a really great experience and would definitely come again.

Recommended by my friend to try this place out. It is a cute cafe, however somehow we felt quite warm while dining near the cashier area. My friend was sweating so I am not sure if the airconditioner was on or not that cold. For the food - egg sandwich was nice. Sourdough Peso Chicken Sandwich was good too. However the Mushroom Soup was sweet. Service was good and no issues with this place. I still recommend this place to anyone visiting Labuan Bajo.

What does it reflect, when you leave a beautiful island and many experiences behind in a place like Labuan Bajo and one of the things you will miss the most is a cafe! This is a great spot. The atmosphere is fresh and relaxing. The service is friendly and professional. And the food is absolutely delicious. The breakfast sets are tremendous...some of the best eggs I've ever tasted. The coffee is wonderful.

Very nice atmosphere and kind staff. Good menu with interesting and hood breakfast choice. Coffee is good. Just arrived in Labuan Bajo and surprised about prices so high compared to the rest of the island

A really cheery and sweet place to enjoy breakfast and coffee! Fuss-free ordering via order chit, and the food is served quickly with a smile. They accept card payments, and the service crew is very friendly. The omelette and sautéed mushrooms are very delicious! Lots of options for vegans.
Meep Y — Google review
First day we went here, it was crowded and there is no seats for 4 of us so we told them we just squeeze one table (2 adult + 2 child). After 5mins, the thoughtful staff added 1 more table for us. After another 5mins, staff gave us the order form and explained to us how to write our order. Even provide my kids drawing paper & colour pencils. My girl love it so much that she gets to colour while waiting for our food to be served. The food arrived in an individual tray which we love. Our first reaction was, this has got to be the best breakfast anywhere. If kids love the food, this cafe deserves to be called No.1 healthy breakfast in Labuan Bajo. Interior of the cafe feels like home, cosy. 2nd day we came here again as my son insisted to have breakfast here, the staff remembers our name. What a great staff you guys have here, all of the girl staff is so smiley. Options we love - Beef Bacon; Flores Toast; Hummus Dip; Sourdough; Sauteed Mushrooms; Choco Muffin; Baguette; Eggs. From Yani, Yuni, Khai & Zeyyan 😍

Batter Days is a bakery and cafe located in Labuan Bajo, offering a delightful selection of family recipes suitable for the tropical climate. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor, this cozy establishment provides a comfortable space to enjoy refreshing desserts, savory pastries, and customizable treats. The ambiance is described as cozy with aesthetically pleasing interior design and cleanliness. Customers have praised the vegan birthday cake they ordered, noting its beautiful presentation and delicious taste.
Dare I say, one of the best cafés in Labuan Bajo. I’m the kind of person who really appreciates food that looks good but also tastes amazing, and Batter Days delivers on both. Everything is plated beautifully without being over the top, and the flavors are actually balanced. If it’s your first time, I’d definitely recommend the Sun Kissed, super fresh and light, perfect for the weather here. Also, don’t skip the cakes! There are plenty of options, but I went for the chocolate tart and it was so rich, smooth, and just the right amount of sweet. Big yes. The space itself is cozy with soft lighting and a laid-back vibe. Also, lots of cute corners for photos. Chill, aesthetic, and genuinely good food! Highly recommend & always daydreaming of coming back 💗💗

We stumbled upon Batter Days during a warm afternoon stroll by the water in Labuan Bajo, and what a gem of a find. This charming café was the perfect retreat from the heat, offering not just a cool, welcoming space but also incredibly kind and attentive staff who made us feel right at home. The Flores iced coffee was a standout, smooth, refreshing, and full of local flavor. We also couldn’t resist the desserts, which were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Everything about this place, from the atmosphere to the service, was spot on. If you’re in Labuan Bajo, do yourself a favor and stop by Batter Days. It’s a must-visit.

Disappointing. We were expecting good food due to the google rating - not sure why well rated? We ordered the chicken katsu and a burger… The chicken katsu was not great - a crispy chicken breast on rice covered in tomato sauce with a couple of slivers of coleslaw. The burger patty was tiny, probably about 30g? We reported to the staff who apologised and said they will make a new patty - after waiting about 20min and noticing the staff chilling around we asked about the new patty. The staff were confused and asked if we would like a new one? We left to find food elsewhere.
Lané H — Google review
Came for lunch was lovely service and lovely food. Had pedro brown coffee was nicest iced coffee had in Indonesia. Food was excellent highly recommended-katsu chicken and nasi goreng.
Beth B — Google review
Excellent coffee. Had the Pedro Signature AND an americano - strong, bold, unapologetic flavours. They make their own blend from local beans from Bajawa and Maggarai, and roast the coffee themselves. Given the results, the baristas there were understandably proud of their coffee. Standouts among the menu items we ordered were the fish n chips, the bakmie, and the banana fritters (a must-order). Even if you do nothing else, stop by for banana fritters and an americano. Be warned. The place looks like a non-descript ramshackle hut from the outside. Be brave and step in. It's a whole other space inside (see photos). Maybe that's like the locals. They're pleasant, sure, but always seem 'apart'. Until you start a conversation with them about their coffee, for example, and then they light up and a whole other person 'steps forth'.
Suhana S — Google review
We were surprised with the nice coffee mocktail. It was something we never had before and it was tasty. Friendly service and good food. I tried the “yuca fritas”, which taste similar as at home. We just came for a light meal.

Back to Bajo Cafe & Resto is a tranquil coffee shop owned and operated by enthusiastic university graduates from Jakarta. It offers traditional cakes, snacks, and ethical handicrafts for travelers. The cafe also serves Lontong Sayur Kemilau, an amazing Indonesian breakfast dish. Visitors can enjoy a variety of coffee and other drinks, including refreshing iced beverages. Additionally, the cafe provides live music on occasion.
Small price, small portion, great taste This place is surprisingly nice. Inside they are selling (too expensive) coffee beans and t-shorts. Live music facilities are available, but I have no idea when they are playing there as we came for lunch. The food came out relatively quick, the portions are not too big, but in line with the price. The food tasted very nice. I had Nasi Rendang and it was yummy. The Lontong tasted nice as well, with the rice not too condensed as it is often the case. Definitely a place to come back to !

Ordered for delivery. They didn’t even fully fill the coffee cup after adding all the ice. The coffee cup was only filled to 60%, and that’s including a lot of ice. The lontong Sayur was given without even a bowl. On the grab all you had to pay extra for utensils. I had utensils so I didn’t select that. But, to provide a soup without a bowl, that’s ridiculous. Who would have thought you needed to pay for a bowl when you order soup? they might as well start charging for any sort of container for any sort of dish. AVOID!

Nice place with very friendly staff. The menu is a good mix between local and western. The coffee is amazing!! We came here multiple times for this. Also the food is decent and fair priced. Nice atmosphere too, only downside is the lack of AC as it gets quite hot inside.

Good food in a nice comfortable setting with cushioned seats, at a price that's slightly higher than the street stalls. Definitely would recommend the longtong sayur and mie goreng here!

Great local food at a fair price with kind, attentive staff + owner. The owner was worried a dish would be too spicy for us and brought out a sample for us to try. I wish I had found this place sooner! I would definitely come back.

Amazing mee goreng and lotong, and great coffee, except alot of mosquitoes here. Will come back again.

I came here to work and specifically asked the staff if it was okay to sit in the AC room. They said it was fine. So, I ordered my coffee and got settled. The moment I opened my laptop, I was told they weren't allowed. This is annoying. Why not tell me when I asked in the first place before ordering? I get that AC is expensive, but a ban is a bad solution. Just make a minimum spend to sit in that room. I would have happily ordered more to meet it. Instead, I just felt unwelcome especially in an empty room. No other reviews mention this strict policy. Now it's done

Nestled in the heart of Ruteng, Warung Momo is a charming eatery that may be small in size but boasts an impressive and diverse menu. From aromatic coffees to refreshing non-coffee beverages, as well as delightful snacks and hearty meals, there's something for everyone. Guests rave about the lemongrass tea served in generous portions—perfect for sharing—and the nostalgic meses donuts that evoke childhood memories with their soft texture.
A pleasant experience. The service is satisfactory as the restaurant provides fast response and is always on-time with the food. The staff and the owner is friendly and great in their service. Food is consistently good in terms of taste. Thank you Warung Momo !

(Translated by Google) The place is not too big, but it has a varied menu, from coffee, non-coffee, snacks and heavy food. When I came here, I tried the lemongrass tea and it turned out I got 1 big teapot, so if you order this, you can actually make it for 2-3 people and try the meses donuts which are soft and like the donuts you ate when you were little.
