Bashundhara Shopping Mall is the second-largest shopping mall in Bangladesh and truly lives up to international standards. It offers almost everything one might need, making shopping convenient and enjoyable. I was able to find everything I was looking for here, and for that reason, I would rate it a solid 5 out of 5.

Bashundhara City – More Than Just a Mall! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you're in Dhaka and haven’t been here yet — you're missing out. This place is huge, modern, and full of life. From trendy fashion outlets to cool gadgets — it’s a shopper’s paradise. The food court? Packed with flavors. Clean, vibrant, and full of choices. Caught a movie at Star Cineplex — world-class experience! The fun zone and ice skating rink? Total game-changers for families and kids. The architecture is sleek, the atmosphere is lively, and everything feels premium. Parking is smooth. Security is tight. Navigation is easy. 📸 I’ve uploaded some photos & videos – but trust me, this place looks even better in person. Highly recommended for a perfect day out in Dhaka!

Bashundhara City Shopping Complex is one of the cleanest and most peaceful places in Dhaka. The environment is cool, calm, and very foreigner-friendly. You’ll find everything here — from top brands to a modern food court and Star Cineplex. A perfect spot to shop, relax, and enjoy the modern side of the city!
Nafisa C — Google review
One of the most modern shopping complexes in Bangladesh. You get to experience almost every modern needs here. The whole complex is air conditioned, secure entrance, guide at the entrance. You get game zone, beauty zone and some flagship brands at the entrance. Clothings, ornaments, jewelleries, shoes, camera and videography components, foods and cinema, game zone, etc are there. In the underground floors, there are mobile phone stores, gadget stores and repair services. Since it's a popular shopping complex, it's almost always crowded, especially at pick times. There are capsule lifts and escalators for each floor traveling. But you have to go west entrance area to go underground part. Happy shopping!
Istiak A — Google review
One of the best shopping zone in Dhaka. Recently I purchased a gadget from here. They should have a citizen charter at basement as well as every levels. I hope the authority will take step to do that. It will help customer/ visitors to find there desires store at a glance.

Bashundhara Shopping Mall, also known as Bashundhara City, is definitely one of the best places for shopping and entertainment in Dhaka. It’s huge, well-organized, and has almost everything you can think of under one roof. From clothes, shoes, cosmetics, and electronics to home appliances, there are endless options for shoppers. You’ll find both local shops and some international brands here, which makes it suitable for all types of budgets. One of my favorite parts of this mall is the food court. It has a wide variety of food – from Bangladeshi dishes to international fast food chains like KFC, Pizza Hut, and more. It’s a perfect spot to sit with family or friends after a long shopping day. The environment is lively, and there’s something for everyone’s taste. Another highlight is Star Cineplex, the famous movie theater located inside the mall. Watching the latest movies here feels modern and enjoyable, with great sound and seating arrangements. This really makes Bashundhara more than just a shopping center – it’s also a hangout and entertainment place. The mall itself is clean, secure, and easy to move around with escalators and elevators. Security is strict, which makes the place feel safe. However, it does get very crowded on weekends and holidays, so if you prefer a quieter experience, it’s better to visit on weekdays. Parking can also be a hassle during peak hours. Bashundhara Shopping Mall is one of the top destinations in Dhaka for shopping, food, and entertainment. Whether you are with friends, family, or just on your own, you’ll enjoy the experience. A must-visit spot if you’re in Dhaka!

👉The first modern shopping complex in Dhaka city. Still now this complex holding a range of regular customers. 👉Cosmetics, ornaments, Mobile and accessories, kids toy, ladies parts and hand bags, brand fashion showroom, food corner all are available. 👉Man and women washroom, basement car parking. Nice environment for kids. Except Tuesday roads this area have little bit traffic jam. 👉Sunday is week end of this shopping complex only but KFC is open. Others offices and business around in this complex open as well. 🦞

One of the oldest and popular shopping place. It's food zone absolutely amazing and clean till today. It's not perfect to utilize POS machine for shopping. They have POS, but usually they added 2% extra charges. That is not comply on customer as far I know. Rest of matters are normal.

Nature & Parks
National park
Ramna Park, located in Dhaka, Bangladesh, is a vast 68-acre green space with trees, formal gardens, paved walkways, and a lake. Originally a Mughal-era garden redesigned during the British colonial period in the 19th century, it is known for its diverse flora including palm, mango, and banyan trees. The park hosts cultural festivals, concerts, and outdoor movie screenings throughout the year.
Ramna Park is truly one of the most beautiful places in Dhaka, a spot that instantly lifts your mood. Surrounded by lush greenery, it feels as if nature itself gently washes away all your stress and fatigue. During a light rain, the park looks even more enchanting I was lucky enough to witness it today. It’s a perfect place for couples, or simply to sit, relax, and enjoy heartfelt conversations in the embrace of nature. However, a small note of caution: be aware of scams, as some sellers whether offering nuts, tea, or flowers may try to overcharge. Always clarify or negotiate the price first to avoid any issues.
Dipta B — Google review
A very beautiful place to visit with family, friends, and lovers. There is a beautiful lake in the middle of the park. You can go boating in the lake. There are wooden bridges on all sides of the lake for a beautiful walk. Security is also quite good. Sometimes squirrels can be seen in the park.
MD H — Google review
Ramna Park is a significant urban green space renowned for its historical significance and recreational amenities, situated at the centre of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Described as the "lungs of Dhaka City,"the 68.50-acre (277,200 m2) park was built during the British colonial era with a lake at its core, undergoing several transformations over the years and evolving into a popular public space. Additionally, Ramna Park hosts cultural events and festivals, notably, the yearly Bengali New Year celebrations. Before the early 20th century, the present-day site of Ramna Park comprised a vast empty expanse known as Ramna Plains. Situated in its midst was a sizable lake, while nearby stood a racecourse in Suhrawardy Udyan, both built by Dhaka's magistrate Charles Dawes. Now the 70-acre Ramna Park is one of the signature places to run in Dhaka. There are long pathways passing by numerous species of flowers, trees, and other greenery. There's a small lake at the center. A loop of the park's paths is 2.4 km. #RamnaPark #Ramna #Park #GreenDhaka #Green #Dhaka #DhakaCity #DhakaLove #DhakaBangladesh #Bangladesh #NaturalBeauty #NatureLovers #Beauty #BeautifulBangladesh #TravelwithSoud #SoudDiaries❤️

One of the oldest park located in Dhaka. People usually come here for recreation, with family, couples for romance and quality time. The entry is free, the environment is amazing, you can hop on the boats and explore the lake, washrooms are available in the park.

Ramna Park – Nature’s Heartbeat in Dhaka In the middle of the bustling capital, Ramna Park feels like a deep breath—a quiet pause in the chaos of Dhaka. Sprawling across lush greenery, serene water bodies, and tree-lined walking paths, this park is a haven for morning walkers, joggers, book lovers, and anyone in need of peace. The chirping of birds, the golden glow of sunrise through ancient trees, and the soft breeze off the lake create a soulful escape from the noise of city life. Whether you’re there for reflection, fitness, or a lazy afternoon under the sky, Ramna Park has a unique rhythm—a kind of slow magic that gently pulls you inward. It’s more than just a park. It’s where time slows down, and hearts breathe freely.

Ramna Park is located in Moulana Bhasani Rd, Dhaka-1217, Bangladesh. The only park is peacefully walkable around Dhaka city. In the morning and afternoon, the city dwellers come for a little rest. In the evening the yellow light shades from lighting under the bridge on the lake gives such a romantic soothing vibes. There is an artificial lake inside.

Fast food restaurant
Cafe 5 Elephant, situated near Hatirpul area, is a suitable option for those seeking a quality restaurant in the vicinity. The establishment offers an array of delectable dishes from various regions, making it an ideal choice for food enthusiasts. Their fried Momo has received positive reviews and the Special C Momo with gravy is particularly flavorful. Additionally, visitors can savor Doi fuchka here, which is highly recommended. The menu boasts reasonable prices for both food and beverages.
This is an old restaurant with yummy food in affordable price. Service was also good. It is a small place offerring indian, deshi chinese cuisine including different types of drinks. Special recommendation is momo, chicken cashew nut salad, hydrabadi biriani.

➤ 11-06-2023 A wide dinning arrangements with a narrow entryway of staircase! 👎 After getting inside you will different compartments to book your seat. They have the whole restaurant under C.C Camera surveillance, that's good for a family outing! They have wide range of different cuisine of various countries which you will find in their Menu book. Though we didn't try any of cuisine items as i heard a lot about It's famous Special C-Momo with hot Gravy. Ordered (1). Special C-Momo with Hot gravy whics cost 340tk. It was tasted juicy & yummy but the price seems like to be way Overpriced as it serves only 8 Momos!! should have been atleat 10-12 pieces. Along with this we had (2). Traditional Coffee with Milk will cost you 100tk, (3). Glass of Cola costing 25tk/glass, (4). A Mineral Water Bottle costed 20tk. Overall except the high price, the environment was good & calm, no rush, staff behaviour were also good 👍

Cafe 5 Elephant can be a great choice near Hatirpul area. Also there aren't many quality restaurants nearby. I previously tasted their fried Momo which was good. This time I tasted the Special C Momo which was very tasty with the gravy. Also tried Doi fuchka for the first time here. Tastes good. They have a wide range of cusine from various region. As you can see on the menu, the price range is reasonable too, including the beverage. The restaurant entrance is inaccessible by wheelchair and there's no parking spot nearby but it's very spacious for large gathering and family dine in. Because they maintain safety through CC TV monitoring. The staff were really cordial and helpful. The bookshelf gives a place a soothing vibe. Momo lovers must try this place for authentic taste.
Saadia H — Google review
Heavily recommended One of the most budget friendly restaurant in Dhaka. I am going there for last 4yrs and never seemed that neither their service nor taste degraded. I mostly try their biriyani, momo and cashew salad. As for juice item, lemonade is my favorite. Service is good. Waiters are humble and gentle. Added advantage: there are books, so you can have some calm & cozy times with books. For reading on calm place, it's a good choice. Ambience is not that much lucrative for taking photos. However, for reading, gossiping, normal time passing this is a good choice. Price of food seemed a lot reasonable to me.

Located in Dhaka, The Green Lounge is a renowned rooftop restaurant offering a unique dining experience away from the city's hustle and bustle. Adorned with plants and bamboo, the restaurant provides a relaxing environment. In addition to traditional Bangladeshi cuisine, it also serves international dishes such as Japanese, French, and Thai. Situated on the 18th floor in Banglamotor, this spacious eatery offers both indoor and outdoor seating options with an inviting ambiance that reflects its name.
It’s offers a beautiful rooftop dining experience with lush greenery and a peaceful ambiance. The spacious setting is great for gatherings, and the menu includes a variety of grills, kebabs, and continental dishes. While the atmosphere is highly praised, some reviews mention inconsistencies in food quality and portion sizes. Overall, it’s a great spot for a relaxing meal with a scenic view.

I recently visited a restaurant, and I have to say, I was blown away! The atmosphere was so inviting, with beautiful decor. I absolutely loved the service; the staff were attentive and friendly. The food was exceptionally delicious; every dish was bursting with flavor. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.

The Green Lounge Located near the heart of Dhaka in Kawran Bazar, The Green Lounge offers a dining experience that feels like an escape from the city—despite being right above it. We arrived in the afternoon and made our way up to the 17th floor, where we were warmly welcomed by the host. Though the flashy, luxurious interior was tempting, we chose to sit outside for the full experience. And we were not disappointed. The first thing you’ll notice is how huge the place is. With lush greenery everywhere, it really lives up to its name—The Green Lounge. It gives off serious Hanging Gardens of Babylon vibes, with the added bonus of a panoramic view of Dhaka city that’s absolutely mesmerizing. We ordered: 1. Beef Karahi 2. Fettuccini Alfredo Pasta 3. Chicken Cashew Nut Salad 4. Garden Salad with Meatballs (forgot the exact name) While the kitchen prepped our food, we explored and took photos. There’s even another floor above, with an even better view of the sunset. It felt like the place just kept going—like a hidden rooftop paradise. The meals arrived in good time. The Beef Karahi was a hit—rich in flavor, spicy, and perfect for those who love heat. The Fettuccini Alfredo, however, leaned on the bland side. Thankfully, the chunks of chicken, mushrooms, and black olives helped salvage it. The meatball salad was good and filling. The Cashew Nut Salad, on the other hand, was underwhelming—nothing you couldn’t get at a Dhanmondi Lake café for half the price. Later, we ordered brownies with ice cream and a Latte. The brownies were rich and flavorful—definitely a high point. The Latte was decent, and as a coffee enthusiast, I’d say it delivered. However, at 350 Taka, it felt a bit overpriced. 300 Taka would've been the sweet spot. Once the sun set, the interior truly came alive. It’s a dream for aesthetic lovers, perfect for nighttime photos. The staff were well-trained and professional, but a little more warmth and smiles would’ve elevated the service. They did kindly take a picture of us when we asked, which was appreciated. Overall, The Green Lounge stands out for its top-tier decor and unique vibe. It’s a botanical sanctuary in the sky. While food prices are on the higher side and not everything hits the mark, the ambiance and experience more than make up for it. Rating: 4.5/5 And yes—I’ll definitely be coming back.

Known for its spacious seating, sophisticated décor, and calm atmosphere, it’s a popular choice for corporate lunches, family gatherings, and casual fine dining. The menu features a wide variety of local and international dishes, including well-prepared biryani, kebabs, seafood, and continental options. Their buffet is especially appreciated for its variety, freshness, and presentation. Service is professional and prompt, and the overall cleanliness and ambiance make it stand out. A great spot for quality food, peaceful environment, and a touch of luxury.

I was heavily disappointed with this branch. Me and my family had a great experience last year in the Bailey Road branch. This time i visited this branch and alas, The green lounge doesn’t keep their good will. We had lunch, but guess what, there was nothing much, waiters didn’t refilling the items, there was only one beef item which is not even close to say good. Items were so limited, but it was not expected. Also, they dine us in the upper floor though there were plenty of seats available on the ground floor. The most disappointing thing was the behaviour of the cashier, who's body language was too negligence, while i was trying to pay with my AMEX card, he looked very disappointed and completed the transaction with sheer dullness. If anything is good about this place It's the view, nothing else. I'll never visit this branch ever again. I'd like to tell The authority kindly treat your customers with pure hospitality and kindness.
