Nature & Parks
Sanjay Gandhi National Park, formerly known as Borivali National Park, is a sprawling forested park located in Mumbai. It is one of the largest and most popular nature reserves in India. The park is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including tigers and leopards. Visitors can explore the ancient Kanheri Caves within the park, which are Buddhist cave temples dating back to the first century BC.
Sanjay Gandhi National Park Visit We started 2025 with a trip to Sanjay Gandhi National Park on 1st January. The park opens at 8 AM, and although the ticket queue was long, it was worth the wait. Entry tickets were ₹110 per person, with car parking charged at ₹50 per hour. We walked about 7 km, taking in the serene beauty of this lush green haven in the heart of Mumbai. The experience was delightful, with scenic mountains, dense trees, playful monkeys, and deer adding to the charm. The butterfly garden was another highlight, with pretty butterflies fluttering all around. The tiger safari, bus fair at ₹136 per person, was an incredible adventure where we spotted tigers, cubs, and a lioness. Unfortunately, we missed the toy train ride as the lanes are currently under redevelopment, but we’ll be back to try it on our next visit. With so much left to explore, it’s clear the park can’t be fully covered in a single day. We’re already planning a revisit to experience more of this incredible destination. Sanjay Gandhi National Park is a perfect weekend escape, offering a blend of nature and adventure. A must-visit for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with the outdoors!

Reviews need detailing as on reaching park we were guided by the personnel there to visit the amazing sites. 1.Entry in the national park Ticket-₹103 2.Services to kanheri caves the biggest attraction of the site Bus- ₹50 both ways per person. Van- ₹1350 both ways for the group. Bus of BEST - ₹20 from each side per person. There are buggy's also which take u to safari ticket counter not to kanheri so make your decision wisely.Ticket- ₹50 per person one way. And the visiting ticket to kanheri cave-₹25 /person. Total 109 caves worth seeing marvellous views especially in monsoon season. Then comes Lion safari- 2 km from main entrance,Ticket -₹ 136 per person. Bus will take you around for safari in which you will see lions, lioness, tigers and yes with full precautions. Museums can also be your choice but the adventure doing things I have already mentioned. To my view go to kanheri caves first as it is 7km away from main entrance and then enjoy the other things. I bet you will not regret only take a local to borivali station and 1.4 km away there u are SANJAY GANDHI NATIONAL PARK.

Sanjay Gandhi National Park is honestly one of my favorite places to take a break from Mumbai’s chaos. The moment you enter, it feels like you’ve stepped into another world — peaceful, green, and full of life. It’s hard to believe something this calm exists within the city. I visited early in the morning, and the air was fresh and cool. Walking through the forest trails with birds chirping all around was such a refreshing experience. I also rented a cycle and explored the park a bit deeper — totally worth it if you enjoy riding through nature. One of the highlights for me was the Kanheri Caves. Climbing up to the caves, with all the ancient carvings and the view of the forest from the top, felt like stepping into history. It’s both peaceful and awe-inspiring. What I love most about the park is how it balances natural beauty with easy access. Whether you're into trekking, cycling, photography, or just sitting quietly among trees, this place has something for everyone. I left feeling lighter, calmer, and a little more connected to nature. Highly recommend spending a few hours here — especially if you live in Mumbai and just need to breathe.

Upgraded the national park significantly. Last time I visited vehicles were allowed inside, but now none are allowed and the experience is much better with free roads to walk on, and less noise, pollution and more closer to nature Rental Cycles The shop is right after the gate, on the right hand side. The rental starts at 8am in the morning and is rented out pretty quickly. I went on Sunday and the rental cycles were rented out by 8:30am. The cost is very cheap (80 rs for 2 hours, and then 20 rs per 30 mins) as compared to rental outside the national park (300 for 4 hours minimum, and then 60-100 per hour) You also need to pay a higher ticket price if you bring outside cycles

Nestled within the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Mumbai, India, the Kanheri Caves are a remarkable testament to ancient Buddhist architecture and art. Carved by monks over 2,000 years ago, these 109 caves feature rock-hewn temples adorned with intricate sculptures, paintings of Buddha, and inscriptions dating from the 1st century BCE to the 10th century AD.
Kanheri Caves, situated at Borivali. The Caves carved from solid rocks, in the era 2nd BC to 11th BC. Somewhere when Samrat Ashoka wanted to spread the Buddhist Religion. There are 102 Caves situated at various levels. The Budh Stupas which are a common in Buddhist are seen at various levels. Once upon a time it was free to Public, but now they have started with entrance tickets. INR 103/- per person. For Senior Citizens the price is kept the same. A yearly pass for Senior Citizens is available only from Tuesdays to Fridays @ INR 41/-. The pass must be available on Sundays too. The ticket window opens at 8.00 a.m. only. They should make arrangements to start earliest by 7.00 a.m. Public can start by 7.00 a.m. and by the time Sun starts spreading its heat, people can start returning. The carvings are beautiful, it is difficult to understand how in those days people must have carved in the Rock? Drainage system, fresh water pockets all well thought and seen. The famous Buddhist Stupas are seen at various Caves. Few Caves are situated at an elevated levels. Sculptures are marvelous but few are damaged mat be by the Invaders in those times. Security is stationed at all levels. WashRoom facility is available. Even Canteen facility is available, picnic tables are layed for people to enjoy there breakfast or snacks. One should be careful of the Monkeys, they are spread in all the areas. It is mind boggling to see such architectural beauty of those times when proper instruments erre not available but still people have worked and have made such wonders. One has to see it physically to experience this fact. At each Cave an inscription is displayed, explaining the details of that particular Cave. Archeological Society has constructed few steps with railings for people to climb up the levels.

Visited: November 2024 I'm an explorer who loves to visit historical and archaeological places, and Kanheri Caves was a real treat! Took a train to Borivali and then a shared auto for ₹25 to reach Sanjay Gandhi National Park. From there, I took the ₹20 shuttle bus that takes you straight to the caves. It’s amazing how such a peaceful and serene spot exists in the middle of Mumbai! The caves are well-maintained, and the history here is incredible. I was astonished by the big standing Buddha statue—it’s both impressive and calming. The ancient water management system carved into the stone is fascinating—stone channels and cisterns designed to collect and guide rainwater. It’s amazing how advanced the architecture was for its time. The ancient monk cells were another highlight—small, carved-out rooms where monks once lived and meditated. Walking through them, you really feel the quiet, spiritual atmosphere of the place. It’s like stepping back into a different time. I spent about 3 hours exploring every cave—be prepared for a lot of walking and stairs. Carry plenty of water, wear comfortable shoes, and take your time to appreciate the surroundings. There are plenty of shaded spots to rest, which definitely helps. A big thanks to the security guards—one of them saved me from an aggressive monkey and handed me his stick for protection. Beware of monkeys if you’re carrying food—they’re quick! Tip: Go early to avoid the heat, keep your food sealed, and enjoy the peaceful vibe of this historical escape. It’s definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful place to visit. From entrance you have to take government bus which is chargeable to reach the cave. A full day is required to understand each and every cave in detail. The security guards help us voluntarily in explaining the sculptures. Restroom and refreshment is available at the location.

This place is perfect for all the nature and adventure lovers. You can visit with anybody who is physically fit I reached here by cycle (you can take cycle on rent from outside of SGNP) Per hour rent is 150-200 or can take your own cycle While reaching kanheri we had experience lake & river, it was really good experience Once you reach to kanheri you have to go by walk to top of caves where you can see Beauty of national park & Historical monuments of indian culture There are some local vendors overthere where you can eat & drink Approx spend time is 5-6 hour From SGNP you can take Bus, Cycle or by walk Best time to visit - june - september (specially on rainy days)

The caves are very cool, and it's a great hiking spot. The only downside is the amount of trash dumped, which is really a shame for such a beautiful place.
Taksheel — Google review
It's a great day trip. Full of ancient caves carved more than 2000 years ago by Buddhist monks. The way to reach has also been well designed along with the convenience of the bust taking you up to the caves from the National park entrance. The tickets are reasonably priced. Additionally there is the tiger safari, park, boating etc. which you could do if you have time. Do carry water and some little eatables as the trek is a bit long and definitely not for elders or very small children.
Atin R — Google review
It is located inside National Park. This is a good place to visit along with family and friends. Been here a few times. Busses are available to reach the Kanheri Caves from the entry gate of National Park. The caves are considered to be one of the oldest caves of ancient times. There are 109 caves of historical relevance. If you wanna go explore the beauty of nature or go trekking, this is just one of the many places you would not want to miss. It is a good place to visit during monsoons, especially if it rains. Beware of the monkeys!
Noel N — Google review
The caves are located in Sanjay Gandhi national park. We accessed the caves via the entrance to the national park. There are bus/ cab services and one can also take their own vehicles. There are various fees applicable, one to entrance of the national park, bus fees and finally the entrance to the cave. The cave are spread over a large area and one can spend easily a day. It can get hot in the day but plenty of places to rest. You need to carry your own water and refreshments on the trail. It has a staircase and place for wheelchair path as well. But limited. You don't need a lot of fitness for the trail. Yes the caves require you to walk, but very beautiful. It is strange that in centre of city, they exist and are safe. Try not to litter the place. Ask for a guide if you wish , or the guards usually at nominal fee, give tips

Theme park
KidZania Mumbai is an indoor amusement park located in R City Mall, Ghatkopar, designed to inspire and motivate children through role-play activities. Unlike traditional amusement parks, KidZania doesn't have automatic rides or roller coasters. Instead, it offers a child-size city where kids can explore various professions and engage in fun tasks. This unique blend of entertainment and learning allows children to develop skills while enjoying a safe and engaging environment.
Excellent place.. 4.5 / 5 Lots of activities for children. Not much for adults for they can sit, have food, play couple of games and enjoy chair massage. Pass policies needs revision. Otherwise all good... Advise : try to avoid weekend and holidays. Considering size of place I think it must get overloaded.
Sandeep M — Google review
It's a good place for spending time with your kids. Lots of role play activities available here. Recommend that kids have shoes for one adventure's rope climbing activity. Toddlers are having less activity compared to teenagers. I have taken 5 hrs tickets which I felt is not sufficient to do all the activities. Better to take a full day ticket. At the beginning you will get kidzania money around 30rs. This money will be used for performing activities. Activities are divided in two parts whereby kids will earn money for some activities and spend the rest of their activities. This way they learn financial management. The restaurant is available inside and has decent varieties. Once your time is over then your wrist band will be deactivated however if you wish to be there then it's absolutely fine. Sufficient car and bike parking is available. I recommend to definitely visit once with your family.

This is like different world for kids, superbly managed and concepts where kids love to take part in different activities, roam in excitement from one place to another, earn and spend money and thereby enjoying real life skills with fun. For adults, i would say its experience of watching kids enjoying with such excitement. There is animation story you could make, it was explained nicely by Ms Aisha. Overall a valuable experience for kids, with lighter crowd 5 hours is sufficient. Each activity takes around 10 to 15 minutes.
Paresh J — Google review
A wonderful place for kids! They offer a variety of fun and thoughtfully designed children-centred activities. One of the best places around — the role-playing sessions are especially impressive, where kids can earn and spend their own play currency.

We had an amazing time at KidZania! It’s such a creative and thoughtfully designed place where kids not only have fun but also learn so much through real-life roleplay. From being doctors and firefighters to radio jockeys and chefs — every activity kept them excited and engaged for hours. The staff was super friendly, organized, and made sure the kids felt confident and happy. Truly one of the best experiences for children to learn while having fun. Highly recommended for families!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Heartfelt Thank You to KidZania Mumbai & Princika Rodriguez! I had an incredible experience with KidZania Mumbai—not just for the amazing time my kids had, but for the truly outstanding support I received from their team. Due to an honest mistake on my part, I had booked tickets for the wrong dates. I was extremely worried as I realized the error only later, and I knew that rescheduling wasn’t typically part of their policy. Still, I reached out hoping for some assistance. To my absolute relief, not only did they hear me out, but they also treated my situation as a special case and kindly rescheduled the tickets. It may seem like a small gesture, but it meant the world to me and my family. A special, heartfelt thanks to Princika Rodriguez, who went above and beyond to assist me through the process. She was understanding, patient, and incredibly supportive throughout. I genuinely owe her for a lifetime—her help made what could’ve been a ruined plan into a cherished memory. Thank you once again to the KidZania Mumbai team for showing compassion and understanding. This level of customer care is rare and truly commendable. Highly recommended not just for the fun experience but also for the amazing people behind it! 🙏

Really loved the experience at KidZania. My daughter tried on various activities like doctor, pilot, dentist, police, medical practitioner, for earning and lots of lovely options for spending as well, like KinderJoy candy factory, biscuit factory, cheese factory. D Y Patil Sports Stadium, designed by renowned architect Hafeez Contractor, is a top-notch venue that has hosted 3 IPL matches for the Mumbai Indians and the 2008 IPL Final. It's not just a cricket stadium; it also offers facilities like tennis courts, badminton courts, and an Olympic-sized swimming pool. The stadium hosts big international events and concerts in addition to sports games.
I watched the IND vs NZ Women’s match at DY Patil Stadium and it was my first ever live stadium experience. I must say, the stadium exceeded my expectations. The view of the ground from the seating area was excellent, and the arrangements were organized very well. The seats were comfortable and the stadium was very clean, including washrooms and common areas. The entry and exit process was smooth and hassle-free, without any crowd chaos. The overall vibe and crowd energy made the experience even better. Loved it and would definitely recommend attending a match here!

DY Patil Stadium is one of the best venues in India — spacious, and very well maintained. The view from almost every seat is great, and the sound system during matches or concerts is top-notch. The crowd energy here is unbeatable! A must-visit for cricket fans, and the vibe during live events is absolutely electric

I recently visited DY Patil Stadium to watch the India vs Australia Women’s semifinal, and it was an amazing experience! The atmosphere was electric, and the crowd’s energy made the match even more exciting. The stadium is well-maintained, seating arrangements are comfortable, and the view from almost every section is great. The facilities were clean, and the staff were quite helpful in guiding people to their seats. The only area that could improve is the food queue management during breaks, but overall, it was a memorable day watching top-quality cricket in such a fantastic venue.

The stadium is huge, well-maintained, and the view from every stand is fantastic. The crowd energy made the match even more special! The facilities were clean, security and entry were well managed, and the sound system was great. A perfect place to enjoy live sports, can’t wait to visit again for the next match!

Watching the India Women vs Australia Women semifinal at DY Patil Stadium was an electrifying experience, offering both high-level cricket and a pulsating stadium atmosphere. DY Patil’s amenities stood out for their cleanliness and accessibility. Restrooms were regularly maintained even during peak crowd times, and food stalls offered a range of snacks—from classic stadium fare like popcorn and samosas to more elaborate options like wraps and biryani. Quick service ensured minimal time away from the live action. Security was efficient, with smooth entry and exit processes.
Rushal K — Google review
It was a great experience watching the match at this stadium! The atmosphere and crowd energy were amazing. However, food and soft drinks are quite expensive inside. Also, they don’t allow bags, coins in pockets, or even flag sticks — not even cardboard or paper ones — so plan accordingly. If you get seats in F or G Block, there’s a good chance you’ll appear on live TV during the match!

The stadium is located in Nerul. Easily accessible by road as next to puna highway. Nearest to Sanpada or nerul station. Have nice seating areas 360 view and airy. Washrooms are available only at base. Had opportunity to watch many shows and matches..nearby by hotels and motels available. Check view in photos..d block and two levels are available for panaromic view. Keep following for more updates.

I visited Barbeque Nation in Nerul, Navi Mumbai with my friends Manish and Dipak, and we had an amazing time! The food was delicious, especially the starters on the live grill. We really enjoyed the chicken, prawns, and paneer tikka — all cooked perfectly. The buffet had a lot of options, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The service was excellent too. The staff was friendly and made sure we were comfortable throughout. Manish and Dipak were really impressed with how clean and well-managed the place was. We also loved the dessert section, especially the kulfi and brownie with chocolate sauce. Overall, it was a great experience and we’ll definitely be visiting again. Highly recommended if you're in Navi Mumbai!

Sat outside in the garden area, mentioned a birthday, got a free cake and birthday song celebration. Starters are the best thing here. I wish they had sushi and crab similar to Global fusion. The main course and desserts are located far from outside seating. The washroom is okay. Splitting the bill on multiple cards was not possible 😔 as the bill is sent using QR code. Courteous staff and kulfi are awesome. The live counter was so so..

Foo Powai is a pan-asian restaurant with a wide selection of dishes that are both visually and taste stunning. The prices may seem steep at first, but considering the high quality of the food, it's worth it. Delivery is an excellent option for those who don't want to leave their homes!
We had visited Foo, Powai to celebrate my birthday, and the experience truly exceeded our expectations! From start to finish, everything was nothing short of spectacular. The sushi, dumplings, and every other dish we ordered were simply superb! Each bite was bursting with exceptional flavors, perfectly balanced and incredibly fresh. It was clear that the ingredients were of top-notch quality, and the presentation made the experience even more delightful. The restaurant itself boasts a classy, premium ambiance, making it an ideal choice for special occasions. The elegant decor, warm lighting, and thoughtfully designed seating created a cozy yet sophisticated vibe. What truly stood out, though, was the impeccable service. The staff were polite, attentive, and always ready to accommodate our requests, adding a personal touch to the evening. While it is a bit on the expensive side, the overall experience—delicious food, elegant ambiance, and excellent service—makes it absolutely worth it. If you're looking for a place to celebrate or simply indulge in some outstanding Asian cuisine, Foo, Powai should definitely be on your list!

Visited this charming Pan Asian spot for a Saturday family lunch, and it turned out to be a delightful culinary journey. Ambience & Service: The space is stylish and welcoming almost wine red walls. The service was absolutely impeccable — attentive without being intrusive. Bonus points for valet parking, which is always appreciated on busy weekends. Starters – Off to a Flavorful Start: We began with the Som Tum salad, a standout with its perfect green papayas giving that ideal noodle-like texture, balancing crunch and zest beautifully. The Sriracha Chicken Dumplings were delicious, packing just the right amount of heat and flavor. On the downside, the Prawn Tempura was a bit of a miss — the batter felt overwhelming and masked the delicate flavor of the prawns. The Pork Belly, served in thin, delicate slices reminiscent of Spanish Jamón, was rich and melt-in-the-mouth — a must-try for pork lovers. The Pork Ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, though the portion size (just five separated ribs) could feel a little lean for the price. Salmon Nigiri - Melt in the mouth with the sticky rice - Just the sushi you should order Mains – A Fusion Adventure: The Japanese Blue Fried Rice was a novelty — sticky, mildly flavored, and visually striking. It doesn’t burst with flavor but makes for a comforting, palate-neutral balance. The Truffle Edamame Fried Rice was a hit, especially when paired with the Prawns in Black Bean Sauce — savory and wonderfully satisfying. The only main that didn’t impress was the Mongolian Chicken — it leaned average, with chicken that could’ve been more tender and flavorful. Drinks – Mocktails That Hit the Mark: Tried the Hot Toddy mocktail and Rose Wine Sangria — both refreshing and well-crafted. They added a lovely dimension to the overall meal without being overpowering. Sweet Surprise – Complimentary Dessert Tower: To our absolute delight, we were served a complimentary dessert tower featuring ice cream, cake, custard, and fresh fruits — a beautiful gesture that made for a perfect sweet ending. Final Thoughts: Despite a couple of misses, the meal was memorable, and the service, presentation, and standout dishes far outweighed the minor flaws. The attention to detail, complimentary gestures, and inventive menu make this spot well worth a revisit.

A good pan asian spot to have a decent meal. I've tried the sushi their which was exquisite. The jasmine blue rice, egg fried rice, and the pan fried john dory were all too good. Even the desserts were decent. The atmosphere inside is pretty good though it's a bit cramped and can get overcrowded. I'd recommend getting a reservation, especially on weekends. Staff is helpful, so feel free to get their suggestions on the food.
Akshat S — Google review
It is a good option to try mix of asian cuisine such as japanese and thai food. We started off with Tom Yum soup which was delicious with fresh ingredients. Then we had tuna fish sushi. The wasabi was not great, but the soy sauce was unbelievably good. The prawns tempura was hit or miss as the coating was not crunchy like it should be. The star of the night was Blue Butter rice which tasted divine. We got Thai Chicken Yellow curry to go with it and it was a feast. Finally as dessert we got Hazelnut and Chocolate dome. It was a plated dessert with chocolate structure and sorbet. The sorbet part was good. The pricing is on higher side compared to other establishments which provide same quality of food. The higher price being paid is owing to the premium location and no other value provided. The place has paid valet parking with reasonable fees, so no issue bringing your car. The service was nothing great to comment on. The ambience could be improved as it was kind of crowded. You need to make an appointment prior to visit.

This place never fails to impress! Always the best food, best experience! I love hope all the foo outlets deliver same taste and quality! Been to Bandra, Jio centres before and even Powai is a nice spot here. Has the blue pea rice n yellow Thai curry, charcoal tempura sushi and prawns. All of it was really fantastic.

I went there with my girlfriends for a girls night out. I loved the ambience and the decor of the restaurant. The service was impeccable. The Manager Prasad and the steward Mohit took great care of us. The food recommended by Mohit was perfect to our taste. The music wasn’t too loud and we could have conversations comfortably. Infact their fiery edit menu was very interesting. They had some new sauces introduced in that menu that were spicy and tasty. I’m sharing the photos and the names of the food we ordered. Btw make sure you order the fresh Mango pudding. It was absolutely delicious.

We visited Foo for dinner on Sunday evening. We had to do prior reservations for this. The food here is very delicious and flavorful of very good quality. Everything that we tried were just wow. We tried the Prawns Tempura Sushi, The soft shell Crab Sushi, Lobster dumpling, Foo blue Japanese fried rice, Salmon Nigiri and the Apan fried John Dory all of which were super yummy. The Mount Fuzi dessert also is worth trying if in a group of three or more.... The ambience too is very nice and does not have loud music so it's great if you want to sit and have a good chat with family and friends. Overall a must visit place if you are a fan of Asian food.

Elephanta Caves is a 7th-century cave temple located on an island near Mumbai. The city offers a plethora of tourist attractions, including Haji Ali Dargah, Girgaoum Chowpatty, and Siddhivinayak Temple. Visitors can find budget-friendly accommodations in the area.
Awesome place to visit along with family and friends! World Uniseco Heritage site , Famous Lord Shiva- Parvati , Ganesha and Kartiki Story. Tips Visit Time - Early morning hrs only 8-9am preferred Ticket - Safari boat offline only Caves ticket - Online only ( no net at site if you get lucky ) Carry item - Enough water and sun protection cap , topi etc. You can get enough shopping items and eating items from local vendors .

It's a good experience overall. Cave 1 is the main significant cave with good carvings of different stories of lord shiva. Place is well maintained with required amenities like water dispenser and washrooms availability. As commented by many, please be prepared for a decent climb. Please be aware of Monkeys on the way. I would suggest to avoid visit if you see any rain forecast. Be prepared for a long ferry up and down for about 1 hour on each direction. There are different tickets you have to buy 1. Ferry ticket (about Rs300 per head) 2. Toy train (Rs10 per head. Optional. You can also walk) 3. Village entry fee (about Rs10 per head) 4. Elephanta caves entry fee ( Rs35 per head for adults with age >15years)
Sashank V — Google review
Visiting the Elephanta Caves was a wonderful experience — the place is truly beautiful and filled with history. It takes about an hour by ferry from the Gateway of India to reach the island, followed by roughly a 30-minute uphill walk to the caves. The view along the way is lovely, and the caves themselves are definitely worth the effort. There are around five main caves, each showcasing intricate carvings and ancient architecture that reflect India’s rich heritage. It’s best to visit in the morning because afternoons can get quite hot, and you’ll want enough time to explore comfortably. I’d recommend reading about the history of the caves before visiting, as it makes the experience much more meaningful. If you’re genuinely interested in history or archaeology, hiring a local guide can give you fascinating insights into the stories behind the sculptures. Plan to spend at least two hours exploring everything peacefully. Also, note that the return ferry to the Gateway of India leaves only when the boat fills up, and the last ferry departs around 5 PM — so plan your timings accordingly. Overall, Elephanta Caves is a must-visit for anyone interested in history, art, or architecture — a serene escape just a short ride away from Mumbai.

I recently visited the Elephanta Caves in Mumbai, and it was an incredible experience. The place truly reflects the depth of our spiritual history and the brilliance of ancient Indian craftsmanship. Seeing the Trimurti and other stone sculptures carved so beautifully without any machines makes you realize how advanced and devoted people were in those times. The energy around the caves feels peaceful and powerful at the same time. It’s a reminder of how rich and meaningful our Hindu culture and traditions are. Definitely a place everyone should visit to connect with our heritage and appreciate the spiritual depth behind it.
Ajeet ( — Google review
Located about 7 km from Mumbai’s mainland, the Elephanta Caves sit on Elephanta Island and are accessible via a scenic one-hour ferry ride from the Gateway of India. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, these ancient caves are a stunning tribute to India’s spiritual depth and craftsmanship. The highlight is the main cave, featuring breathtaking rock-cut sculptures of Lord Shiva, including the famous Trimurti. It’s awe-inspiring to imagine how artisans carved these massive figures centuries ago without modern tools. The atmosphere feels both peaceful and powerful, a true reflection of India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage. Ferry: ₹300 per person (round trip) – Tickets available offline near Gateway of India. Toy Train (Optional): ₹10 per person from the jetty to the base of the hill. Village Entry Fee: ₹10 per person. Cave Entry: ₹35 per adult (available online only; internet may be unreliable on-site). Best time to visit: Early morning (8–9 AM) for fewer crowds and pleasant weather. Carry: Plenty of water, sun protection (cap/hat), and comfortable walking shoes. Avoid: Rainy days—trails can be slippery and ferries may be delayed. Beware: Monkeys can be mischievous—keep food and bags secure. Shopping & Snacks: Plenty of local stalls offer souvenirs and refreshments. Elephanta Caves make for a perfect day trip from Mumbai—calm, cultural, and full of history. The ferry ride offers stunning views of the city, and the main cave alone is worth the journey. Be ready for a climb, but the experience is truly rewarding. A must-visit for history lovers, photographers, and anyone wanting to connect with India’s spiritual and artistic past.

Elephanta caves should be a must visit if you travel to Mumbai . It is upsetting to look at the amount of damage to the sculptures that was caused centuries ago by the boorish and idiotic Portuguese and subsequently English soldiers as the original work must have been so divine looking . Having said this what is left is still incredibly detailed . Strongly recommend using a guide so they can explain the specifics Assume minimum 2 hours for the visit Minimum 2 hour boat ride So overall about 5 hours atleast Definitely worth a visit . The boats are a scam though . All cash payments . They have about a dozen life jackets but fill the boat before they start
ARUN R — Google review
To reach the caves, you need to take a 4 hour round-trip ferry from the Gateway of India, costing around ₹290 per person. The caves are famous for their rock-cut sculptures dedicated to Lord Shiva and offer a glimpse into ancient Indian art and architecture. Ferries run regularly from the Gateway of India, making it easily accessible for visitors
Darshan D — Google review
Visit Elephanta to truly get inspired by the craftsmanship of ancient workers. The divine structures are absolutely stunning. The vibe inside is full of divinity and peace. Recently, they have made the booking complicated. You will have to purchase the tickets online only as there is no one on the window to give you help but if you get stuck then do not hesitate to ask the security guard there for help. And please email the authorities to mention this inconvenience. You will have to take a ferry from Gateway of India, then a mini train to the island. Please be aware of monkeys and do not eat and walk as the cheeky monkeys can snatch the food or drinks from you! Also, please be aware feeding the monkeys is not permitted. There are steep stairs so be prepared for climbing a lot of stairs. If you like there are also people who carry you up above for nominal charges. There are lovely souvenir shops on the left and right of the stairs; you can buy gifts, et cetera from there. Lots of veg and non-veg restaurants as you go up. An absolute must visit if you want to truly get inspired by this vibrant city of Mumbai as it is not very far it takes just over one hour.

The Juma Masjid is a magnificent mosque constructed in the 1800s using stone and brick. It showcases an exquisite design, featuring a courtyard pool containing various species of fish. Despite being restricted from capturing its beauty through cameras, one can still sense the serene ambiance even amidst the bustling crowds and noises outside. Administered by the Bombay Trust, this historic masjid remains in excellent condition.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting a beautiful mosque near Crawford Market. Its striking architecture caught my eye, especially the central pond that collects water from the roof, which is home to fish and small turtles. The atmosphere is serene, and I admire the thoughtful design.

Had seen this great architectural mosque in youtube but seeing it in real is a next level experience. Really what a great and stunning architecture its just fabulous. Nearly 205 years old mosque which is built on water pool. Those pond and verity kinds of fishes, turtles and pigeons are really worth warching once in a life. Visited here to pray namaz it was during my fasting of holy ramadan and I took power nap of 30 minutes. Masjid was almost fully crowded where many people were slept since it was fasting time. Peaceful mind inside this masjid. Nice architecture inside too.

One of the most beautiful and peaceful mosques I’ve visited. The architecture of this Juma Masjid is stunning — intricate carvings, elegant chandeliers, and a serene atmosphere perfect for prayer and reflection. The mosque is well-maintained, with clean prayer areas and ample space for worshippers. The spiritual ambiance, especially during the prayer times, is truly uplifting. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates Islamic architecture and a tranquil place.

This is the largest Juma Masjid in Mumbai. It is located one kilometer from Masjid Bandhan railway station. There is no parking facility. There is a market around the mosque. The mosque, built in Mughal architecture, is also a historical place. It is many years old. There is a peaceful atmosphere inside the mosque. The highlight of this mosque, I think, is its pond. There are many fish in this pond. This is the best mosque to attend Friday prayers in Mumbai.

Best Chinese Restaurant in nerul & has always been one of my favorite options for Chinese food, last time I had visited for my friend's birthday party and we ordered in Starters : Fish Finger, Paneer Chilly Dry & Chicken Lollipop Gravy. And in main course : Chicken Hot Garlic Rice, Veg garlic Rice and Chicken Triple Rice in Green Sauce.

Have been to this place twice. It has good food and very cordial staff. The quality and the quantity of food is available at a very reasonable rate. We had tried Chicken crispy, Veg spring rolls, Triple Schewan Fried rice (Veg and chicken) and Chicken Triple Schewan Noodles that had been well seasoned and flavoured. A must try place

Today I tried out this Chinese restaurant based on stellar reviews and it exceeded all expectations! The food quality and portion sizes were exceptional, catering to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The service was also top-notch, adding to the overall delightful experience. Highly recommended for a satisfying dining experience. Can't wait to go back!

Mughlai restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant lanes of Navi Mumbai, Ahmed Bhai's Bry & Dry is a culinary gem that brings Mughlai and tawa specialties to life in a relaxed setting. Often compared to the iconic Bademiya of Mumbai, this eatery offers an array of tantalizing options like kebabs, rolls, seekhs, and biryanis that are sure to delight your taste buds.
A wonderful experience overall! The kebabs were juicy, and the gravy dishes were rich and authentic. Ahemad Bhai personally checked on our table — such warm hospitality!

Ahmed Bhai- Fear God! The service and the staff are absolute mawali’s. The food is hit or miss, I have dined here multiple times and had issues too but drawing the line today. I got served haleem in a chutney container, trust me the food is more expensive than any 5 star celebrity chef restaurants. Got a squeezed lemon, some fried onions in a container of a same size.. it’s madness. Checkout malpua with double rabdi too.

went there for first time. Food was good. Nice ambience. Starters must try items over the main course. Tried their so call signature dish that is Nalli Pulao. It was okay okay Rating. Food 3/5 Ambience 4/5 Service 4/5 Cost 2/5

I ordered chicken pulao from Swiggy, and it has a stapler pin in it, along with something like black dust in the packaging. What kind of food is this where no attention is given to safety? Not recommended

The food tastes like home comforting, delicious, and full of flavor. I’ve been here multiple times, and the quality has been consistent every single time. It wasn't perfect but was delicious do check Out with your family

Great ambiance, polite staff, and super tasty food! The service was quick, and the portions were generous. Ahemad Bhai’s restaurant has become my new go-to spot.

I had gone for lunch with my office colleague. We had ordered chicken crispy, chicken patiyala, rumali roti, tandoori roti all were great in taste. No compromise on quality and quantity. Ambience was very nice and quiet. Price is little bit high.

Bar
Nestled in the heart of Borivali West, Rainforest Resto Bar offers a unique dining experience that transports you straight into a lush, tropical paradise. This rainforest-themed eatery is perfect for couples seeking a romantic evening or families looking to enjoy quality time together. With its vibrant decor featuring trees and dim lighting, the ambiance is both inviting and enchanting. The menu boasts an array of delicious pub plates and colorful cocktails that cater to diverse palates.
Had dinner at Rainforest, and it was a satisfying experience. The food met expectations, and the taste did not disappoint. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared, leaving no room for complaints. A great spot if you’re looking for consistency in quality and taste.

Rainforest, a popular resto-lounge with multiple locations in Mumbai, has one outlet in Belapur, Navi Mumbai, just a 7–10 minute walk from Belapur Railway Station. True to its name, the restaurant has a forest theme with wooden seating, artifical greenery, and a charming footbridge with flowing water beneath it, all set under dim lighting. They also have a screen for live cricket and football matches, though it’s not particularly large. I've been a regular at Rainforest for over 10 years, and I feel it’s time for an update. Not much has changed over the years, and while their menu offers a wide variety of starters, mains, and desserts, some aspects could be improved. A few of my favorites include the piping hot Pot Rice, which comes loaded with exotic veggies and has an excellent taste, as well as the Veg Crispy and Chicken Tikka. Their mocktails are refreshing but could benefit from a wider selection. One major suggestion would be to improve the lighting. While the ambience is meant to be moody, the current lighting is too dull and focused in small sharp spots. This not only makes the place feel darker than it should, but it also affects how Instagram-worthy the photos turn out. A little upgrade in lighting could make a big difference. Conclusion: Couples: Highly recommended for a date. College Crowd: Perfect spot to chill and unwind. Friends & Drinkers: It’s a bit on the expensive side, but the overall experience makes it worthwhile. Family: Not your typical family restaurant, but modern families will likely enjoy the vibe

Great place to have dinner with family and friends. Decor is great and forest theme based. Its really nice ambience. They have seating arrangement on the ground floor and first floor. Always love being here. Food is also great. Nothing that we have ordered here ever, has been bad. If you are looking for an awesome place to dine in, will definitely recommend this one. Yes it is a little on the expensive end, but then experience you get here will be worth it.
Banjaaraa C — Google review
A all lot can be improved. Ex- the theme is rainforest, ambiance matches but the smell ruins it.. hint of rainforest should be there in the smell too. Overpriced food and service can also be improved. Potential is there.. The owner is professional and well behaved..

Please read, complete review I had shared five star review for this Restaurant long back. I think almost 4 to 5 years back after that. I visited this restaurant couple of weeks back. Now the food quality is at the lowest quality level. Mocktails and cocktails were okay as they are prepared with ready made ingredients starters in Indian and Chinese where with below basic quality appearing and testing light Street Food, same with Chinese fried rice, the most disappointing part was about chicken biryani, which was outstanding last time when I visited. But this time five of us can’t eat more than one spoon. So my humble request to the management, please look into it we are regular visitors in rainforest, different outlets and we recommend it to others for undoubtedly good quality food. But this time I was disappointed completely.

Rainforest Resto-Bar is located in Kukreja Centre (Belapur). It is hardly ten minutes away from Belapur Station. It is part of renowned chain of four outlets. As the name suggests it is a forest themed restaurant. ☸ Ambience I was completely taken by their ambience. It was beyond my expectations. It is actually feels like you are in real forest. A small bridge and small waterfall so well thought. Trees everywhere will give you feel of jungle safari for sure. This place is huge and they also have beautiful bar in the middle adding charm to this place. Dim lights and comfortable seating arrangement. ☸ Service Service is perfect in all aspects neither fast nor slow. Staff is friendly and helpful. Paritosh took excellent care of us. His suggestions were excellent from drinks to dessert. So if you are new to this place don't hesitate ask for suggestions( ask for paritosh he gives excellent suggestions) Also special mention to Mr. Sachin for being so helful. Kudos to team of Rainforest Resto bar for providing such amazing experience. ☸ Drinks ❄ Lychee Blossom ❄ Bartenders Special Mocktail It is a mix of lychee, lime, sprite and topped with Rose petals. Presentation on point! It tasted as good as it looked. Substle flavours divine in taste. It was soothing. So I loved it so much I asked for similar mocktail. Bartender was generous enough to give his special. Both drinks are highly recommended. (Dont forget to thank me later ) ☸ Appetizers ❄ Cheese Chilli Roll These rolls are stuffed with cheese with twist of veggies. It is served in small cutting glasses dipped in mayo. Amazing presentation! A decent dish to try. ❄ Crispy Corn This is my all time favorite starter which goes really well with drinks. It was fried to perfection( game of getting that cornstarch correct). Fried corn tossed in red pepper sauce topped with celery and pepper. It had kick of pepper, loved it. Highly Recommended. ☸ Main ❄ Very Sizzler It consists Rice Noodles Fried Exotic veggies tosses in garlic sauce Properly cooked and very flavourful. Loved the different flavors. A decent dish to try. ☸ Dessert ❄ Sizzling Brownie After such yummy meal definitely needed perfect dessert to go with it. Freshly made brownie topped with a scoop of vanilla icecream and oozing chocolate sauce over that. It just melted in the mouth. The right sweetness and texture. Overall it was overwhelming experience. Menu of Rainforest Resto Bar is quite elaborate. Such lip smacking menu is really impressive. Everything I tried was divine in taste and presented beautifully. This place is a must visit for sure. Definitely try this one out.

Lip smacking food with good quantity along with great quality . Good ambience. Family friendly restaurant. Good to go with family and friends. Desserts are the best. Specially honey fried noodles with vanilla ice cream comes out to be my favorite. Worth a try to hangout once in a while.
