Just completed a fantastic bike trip to Saputara this monsoon, and it was an unforgettable experience. The ride itself is a treat, with scenic, well-maintained roads and thrilling turns. As you ascend, the weather changes beautifully, and the entire landscape turns a stunning, vibrant green. The hill station during this time is absolutely magical. The fog rolls in and out, creating a mystical atmosphere, and the waterfalls are at their roaring best. We visited the Artist Village and enjoyed the boating on the lake. While it can get crowded on weekends, the natural beauty more than makes up for it. A perfect spot for a refreshing break and an ideal destination for a monsoon bike trip.

Beautiful Journey & Scenic Destination I recently visited Saputara on my bike during the rainy season, and the entire experience was amazing! The ride itself (approx. 105 km from my home) was incredibly scenic — light rain, smooth roads, lush green mountains on one side, and a flowing river on the other. The route has sharp U-turns and hilly inclines/declines, making it adventurous and thrilling. Saputara is a peaceful hill station with a lot to offer — I enjoyed boating in the lake, visited the Table Top Point for panoramic views, and ended the day at Sunset Point, which was absolutely stunning. Activities like ropeway rides, paragliding, boating, and sunrise/sunset points are worth exploring. Tip: Be cautious of wild animals like leopards, especially during early mornings or late evenings. Please don’t feed them — it can be dangerous for both you and the animals. Overall, a memorable trip. Honestly, I enjoyed the journey as much as (if not more than) the destination itself!

I had the best experience here. Must visit place especially in monsoons. The lush green hills of saputara will keep you mesmerized. The views are exhilarating and the locals are very good. This is the only hill station of Gujarat. It is a small one nd not much to do here. Best time to visit this place is Monsoon. Good for a stay of a day or two with family or friends. Roads are very good so easy to reach there. Gira Falls in the outskirts is a must visit place.

Saputara Hill Station has good natural surroundings and cool weather, but the place feels very commercialized. It was overcrowded during my visit, and almost everything—food, activities, parking—was on the expensive side. Cleanliness and maintenance could be much better, as the beauty of the hills gets overshadowed by too much rush and high costs. It’s worth a short visit for the scenery, but don’t expect a calm or budget-friendly hill station experience.

To watch Sun Rise one has to go beyond the point shown by Google maps, there is a Hill Next to the Sun Rise point, one has to do trekking to reach there it will take about 15 minutes to reach there.

A perfect place for adventure, Food & 360 degree scenic view in Saputara. Why to visit ? So here is the list of activities you can do : Adventure - Horse Riding, Paragliding, Zipline, Ropeway experience, Small rides for kids. Food - There are lots of stalls of foods, they are serving Maggie, Corn, Bhajiya, Chai, Ice-cream, bhel, chaat, Snacks, colddrink and Omelette, Boiled eggs. 360 Degree Scenic view - It means you can stand in one stand and turn all our around to witness forest, hill, lakes and mind blowing view from all sides. Now how much time you can spend - I think you can spend good amount of time here depend how many activities you are doing. So as per my experience this place require minimum 2-3 hours and maximum 6 hours. Thats my thoughts. So overall I had a awesome experience to be at table point. There are many exciting ride also present there like paragliding which is approx 2500rs(per person) really value for money, zip line which is approx 500rs per person (with camera), rope ways currently it's in maintainence, rented bike get around 200rs, etc. Above the point many small hotels also present, So no worry about food. I mostly preferable to go this place in monsoon, the greenery and the scene are very beautiful.

One of the highlights & main attraction of Saputara, it's highest accessible point via vehicle. Where tourist can enjoy host of different activities like horse riding, mini bike ride, paragliding and so on. Paid parking is available, the place is not at all well maintained is filled with animal litter and plastic garbage which uneducated people leave behind, a scene spot ruined by local mismanagement & filth. As the name suggests, it is point to witness the beautiful moment of sun setting down. The shades of different colours appearing on the sky is mesmerizing. Also the aerial view of lake and the town visible from this point is awesome. There are two ways to reach the sunset point, one is through ropeway (which starts from Table point) and other one is by climbing up on the hill. It is almost close to 1 km strenuous climb, the vehicles are not allowed except for the bikes which are provided by the locals on chargeable basis (they charge Rs 100 one way). There are few stalls where water and food are available. For children, there are few recreational stuff such as RC cars, horse rides, etc. There is no entry charge if one decides to climb up while travel through ropeway is chargeable. It is located on height and we can only go by a walk by hiking on the hill. It will take some time. The view is amazing from there.

Sunset Point also known as governor hill, is the highest point in Saputara. It comes under Dang Forest in the Aravallis. Basically a table top area at the top, offer a spectacular view. You will find a lots of fun activity like beautiful flower double seat bicycle, bike riding, horse riding, camel ride etc. Also available Ropeway Facility. The paragliding facility here and experience offers a scenic view of the landscapes around and is a perfect adventure activity for adrenaline-junkies. Enthusiasts are provided with a proper briefing session preparing them with the required skills and confidence for this amazing adventure! Beautiful valley and sky filled with colorful hue in the evening. It was awesome place to hangout with family and friends. Sufficient car parking is available.

I visited Gira Dhodh Waterfall again in 2025 on a weekend with my family. The place is always beautiful, but this time the water flow was less compared to my visit in 2024, when it was truly majestic and full of force. Since I went on a weekend, the crowd was quite heavy, which is common at such popular spots. The overall experience was still enjoyable. Around the waterfall area, there are many small stalls and shops selling souvenirs, handicrafts, and local gift items, which add to the charm of the visit. There is also a restaurant and stay facility nearby. The food was fine, but the rooms were not very impressive – okay for a short stay but not something to expect high comfort from. In short, Gira Dhodh is a nice place for a family outing or nature trip, especially during monsoon when the waterfall is at its best. If you want to enjoy it with fewer crowds, visiting on a weekday would be a better choice.

Average food , no variety of food, no ambiance, bad service , not worthy for money They also insisted to pay only in cash as no bills are delivered. Strictly illegal and looting government by taking restaurants payments in cash mode, so they do not need to pay taxes to government. This is surprisingly happening at famous tourist point, also making inconvenience to tourists like us, who need to go and look for ATM for cash, where as every other small shops are accepting GPAY.

Best Gujarati Thali in Saputara, superb taste and good service. All the items in thali are very tasty. Have been a old time fan of Gujrati daal, kadhi here. Location is also very near from the main chowk in Saputara.

The person at cash counter is worst. Staff is third class and manager is totally arrogant. Waste of money. Waste of time. Humble request never visit and don't support such services. I belong to a good family with virtues and such unhuman behaviour is not acceptable at such restaurant. Atleast be respectful towards your customers, they deserve adequate hospitality. Restaurant is also defaming saputara and its heritage. No words left for such worst service. Absolutely third class restaurant and truly deserves to be shut as early as possible.

Good pleace for typical Gujarati thali. The place doesn't score much on ambience on plateware. But food was good and fulfilling. Sweet was very well made. 250 for adults, 150 fot kids.

Restaurant was not good. In thali all sabji's were served with small spoon, Also everytime need to call waiters to serve food. This is rediculos how come people are giving good ratings. Please avoid this if you have big group they are not capable of serving more food. Toilets were so dirty never ever seen like this in any restaurant.

I was there for lunch and ordered Raj Kachori masala papad and lassi. Raj kachori here is the worst I have had so far and offcourse paid Rs.180/- for it. Masala papad was all about Papad with tomato and cucumber on it. Atmosphere is noisy. Food is not upto the mark compared to the prices they are charging. Need improvement in food making, a lot actually. Service from staff was okay.

I want to give 0 star rating coz very bad food all Food serve with same gravy and my personal opinion that don’t go and don’t eat food it’s not sugar n spice taste that you want and when you complain they excuse you return my fault is that i ordered all food in one time and waste my money as a proof even butter milk is also very loded with crush ice

Very bad experience. Bisleri water was duplicate. Sambhar war tasteless, just like warm water. On complaint told by staff that he forgot to stir the sambhar. Overall very bad experience 😡

Don is very beautiful hillstation of Dang, especially during and in between monsoon and winter it's just so wonderful. It's just 3kms away from Maharashtra-Gujarat border. Still developing area, surrounded by very nice and sweet indigenous people. It's view is just so fascinating from the top. Greenery and mountains and such a peaceful atmosphere. Recently visited Don Hill Station, and it was an incredible experience! 😍 The view from the top was absolutely worth the climb — calm, green, and full of natural beauty. 🌳 The waterfalls and scenic spots on the way make the ride even more enjoyable ✨. The roads are in great condition too, so even scooters and bikes 🛵🏍️ can make it up easily. There are certain issues also with these place - basic facilities like washrooms and refreshment stalls are not maintained properly. As compared to Saputara there are no options for fun activities. No petrol pumps are available along the route once you cross ahwa ake sure to fill full tank up at Ahwa before climbing. Even if come down from Don Hill there is no option for restaurants and hotel since the location is too remote. If you are looking forward to go for nature and climbing adventure then you can go.

Saputara Museum (Tribal Museum) is located at the center of saputara. It is exactly opposite to the Saputara Lake. The museum is the treasure for the people who loves history, art and culture. The anthropology section contains enormous information about the tribes and their art, culture, clothing, Ornaments, festivals, Life style etc. The Musical instruments are just amazing.👌👌 It also contains the famous "Varli" painting style of the tribes. It also contains the information about tourist places, animals, birds etc. Structure need to be renovated as soon as possible. Entry fee is nominal, 5 rs. Everyone should visit it to know about the rich culture of our tribes. 👍

Museum is rich contains information about cultural varieties of people in Dang district. Showcase of old utensils, god & goddess, mask of Indian artifect, jewellery, weapons, farming tools, musical instruments. Construction needs renovation apart from that nice museum to visit. Women jewellery with actual photograph of people is quite beautiful and interesting. For students entry fee is 2 rs, adult 5 rs and foriegn person 50 rs per person. Opens at 10:30.

It is an average museum. It is maintained by Gujarat government. The building is pretty old and there is water leakage at a lot of places. There is a separate gents and ladies Washroom at the premises, by it is not at all maintained. Entry fees is very nominal, at Rs 5/- per Indian citizen. Fees for foreign citizens is Rs 50/- . For students visiting this museum the fees is only Rs 2/-. This museum specialises on three tribes local to this area, warli, bhil and kunbi. The ornaments, cooking appliances, musical instruments and their grain storage instruments are at display. Overall, a nice place to visit for any social anthropology student, average for rest.

One of the best place to travel in gujrat. You have to take minimum 3 days to travel whole Saputara. There's a lake you can do kayakin there. There's a huge mountain for tracking and you can have the best view of sunrise from there. There's also another mountain to track and From there you can have best view of sunset. Nice paragliding destination as the hill station has alot of greenery and beautiful mountains. The view from up above the sky is clear and interesting as you can witness the sun as well as the lake below you. We however went when the wind wasn't that suitable hence if you are going there for particularly paragliding try reaching there early in the morning. There is also zipline, ropeway and go karts which you can enjoy.

Saputara is small but nice hill station in Gujarat. Nisik is 76 km only. One can visit Vani for Saptasrungi Temple on the way from Nasik. For staying many Hotels available. Hotel Gokul is nice for family. Hotel Toran of GTDC is very good for groups and having variety of rooms - rate includes - bed tea, Breakfast & one Gujarati meal.Lake is nice for boating, quiet and calm. Sunrise point and Sunset points are worth to visit. Good attraction is Rope way - But avoid going after 6 pm. Nageshwar mahadev and Nawagam Ganesh temple is also good.Wonderful experience for 2-3 days outing. Sun rise and and Sunset poin is also remarkable.hear you can enjoy with Paragliding, Horseriding, and very .amazing Saputara is a place need to br experience. Saputara is a very small town, nothing much to do and see. Boating and Paragliding are main attractions. Sunrise point is worth seeing. Sunset point is also good and gets crowded in the evening. For best vegetarian food you can go to Patang restaurant adjoining Saputara Lake parking. The rates are reasonable, ambience excellent and food is the best in town. It is so neat and clean restaurant that it can be compared to 3 star property. 6 Km away from Saputara is Club Mahindra and they have the best buffet breakfast for Rs 750 between 8 am till 10.30 am. There are plenty of food stalls around the lake. Food is reasonably priced.

And also Ropeway. It's a must visit place (one time) . I think it would be better to visit here during winter.

There is not much or can't say a superb place but you can visit in the winter n enjoy the cool climate with a wonderful view. A small hill station. Couple of things here one the rope way which is nice where you can get a cool view of Saputara. Second is the paragliding here... Go sit at this point in monsoon and wait for the clouds to clear of a bit. With a breeze and sounds of tough clouds passing through these mountains you'll a painting of a village just at the bottom. The image is as if you're a god and watching your creations from heaven above. I wish I could live there.

Super views Dec last week: The sunset point is on the other side of the ropeway cable car station. While there are food stalls and some activities for kids, the sunset view is just awesome. The setting sun and the entire orange line across the horizon is a sight to behold.

Best sunset location of gujarat. It is just beside rope way and you need either cab or own vehicle to reach there. So ideally you should start at 3pm to cover ropeway and sunset both. Else you will miss either of them. Location is full of fun activity too.

Good but need more development for tourists...hotels rate is high...boating rates also high in weekends

Spacious rooms, very big lobby, clean swimming pool and to top it very good curated everyday breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Staff is extremely cooperative. Location is in the middle of the action. One of the Best resort that i have to been to for 3 nights.

This is a little old but well maintained hotel. Though the hotel building and landscape is not an impressive one, the room size, upkeeping and service makes it up. The food here is very good. There is a food stall at the gate of the property which is good for a quick bite.

We had a pleasant stay overall. The facilities, location, and staff behaviour were excellent – I’d rate them 4.5 out of 5. The hotel is well-maintained and ideally situated, making it convenient for sightseeing and relaxation. However, there's room for improvement in the breakfast quality. The food lacked variety and taste, which was a bit disappointing. I would rate the breakfast 2.5 out of 5. If the breakfast is improved, this hotel could easily be a top choice in Saputara.

Fraudery. Sell rooms under package including food and then in the final bill they mention restaurant bill separately. Upon mentioning and raising the issue they do not address it and are totally unresponsive. This is a scam going on. The GM doesn't pick up calls. They send you saying that We'll send you the right bill over mail and then become unresponsive. This is total fraud. Kindly check with the hotel and ask for bill prior.

It was an awesome experience staying at shilpi. Rooms were clean with all amenities. Food was very tasty especially theor veg grilled pizza and in house gun powder. Chinese food taste can be improved a bit. Service was top notch and breakfast spread was also nice and tasty.
