It’s a great place to visit. It’s a very small theme based museum. It’s a navy ship INS Chapal and a cargo plane. Only navy ship is converted into museum where you can go inside seeing all the inner things like how to cabins were made,how the staff operated, how the places and engines are designed and assembled. Everything being kept in its original form that’s why it became rotten. But worth visiting. It’s lies somewhere between Gokarna and Goa route(may be I am not correct) Entry fees only 20rs per person. Must visit once.

50 Rs. Entry ticket per head. Could have been managed better by the Karnataka Tourism Board. Since, I have been to the naval museum at Vizag, this feels a little less. The caretaker at the entrance of the Karwar tupalov aircraft museum is very passionate about his job and knowledgeable about the exhibits and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge with visitors. I hope the government provided better guided facilities to the visitors here since the entry is ticketed.

The Warship & Aircraft museum at the Karwar beach is a special thing. We are allowed to get the glimpse of a decommissioned missile launcher ship of Indian Navy, the INS Chapal. Along with that the anti submarine aircraft Tuplev T-142M is also on display. After watching the amazing machines from inside and outside, one is filled with pride about the skills and hardwork that our soldiers put in for our safety. Photography is allowed on the deck and inside the ship but not inside the plane. AC are installed inside to make our experience more comfortable. A must watch if you go to Karwar. ₹ 50 are charged as ticket fee per person. The museum is open daily from 9.30 to 12.30 and then from 14.00 to 17.00

It's a wonderful experience to see this 2 different war heroes.The complex wiring and control rooms on the ship and jet reveal intense engineering effort. A truly powerful and unforgettable visit. The cockpit view is amazing. Highly recommended.!

This place has a collection of aquatic animals - average viewing for adults, excellent for small children. Highlight is the blue whale skeleton which was a real one.

There's pretty much nothing to see here. It is just like all other aquariums in Karnataka. Only thing special is skeleton of blue whale. Rest of all other fish you can see in other places too. Surprising thing is that the ticket is 50Rs for just two floors of the aquarium. One can spend a maximum of 15 minutes.

Had a pleasant experience viewing the varied species of marine life here. Mostly small fish since it is a small facility. No crowd so one can observe at leisure.

The town of Karwar has some special tourist attractions. One of them is the Rock Garden near the beach. It is situated in an area with some large trees. As the name suggests, there are some abstract rock sculptures in the garden. But the main attraction is the life sized statues of different communities of this area, in their traditional attire, doing daily chores around their homes. It seems like the ancient history has come alive after watching these figures. It is a nice spot to spend your evening. There is a 20 Rupees ticket for the garden. It is open till 6.30 in the evening.

the northern and middle part of the beach is super beautiful, in the southbits super crowded especially for sunset as there is the city, it has some attractions like army ship and airplane there and some amusement park, nice view from the highway there too! In the north is the bridge above cali river, very nice for sunset on the bridge, its the border between Karnataka and Goa there also!

Small temple near Kajubag. Comes into limelight once in a year during the Narasimha Jatraa. This is the second temple, another being on the other side of River Kali near Sadashivgad. The main temple is at Kadwad, from where the diety is taken by boat to the Kudumgad island, and returns after the jatraa is over. Legend has it that Lord Narasimha, after killing the demon Hinankashyap, came to this island to cool down his anger.

This is ancient Sri Narasimha Temple at Karwar. Metri family members has been worshipping for generations.

Karwar Beach used to feel like an everyday childhood escape, but now it’s littered with garbage and surrounded by mess. The play area also needs serious attention, with rusted and damaged equipment in need of repair and improvement.

The beach is naturally serene and calm. Not crowded and can walk peacefully. It's dark sanded and has a rustic look. Landscapes are awesome with hills in background. It's just a few minutes detour from NH66 towards Mangalore side. Local government really need to work on the cleanliness side and need to build more facilities and a good toilet. Didn't find any good food stall or restaurant closeby. Dogs and cows wandering in the beach even at late night. Lot of littering all around the beach. Parking space is ample.

Advantage of being on the highway, parking available, toilets scary. Food was reasonably tasty, the Parathas were very nice. Service cannot say much they are managing with what they have. Not a great place to have a meal, but only to save time this is an option.

The positive of the place is the location, being on highway. Apart from that there is nothing worth mentioning about the place. Maybe, many years ago, it had seen better days, but now It has a deserted and in maintained look and fairly poor sanitation, at least when it comes to the dining area and the washrooms. The chicken fried rice was okay but the chicken gravy was quite tasteless. Service was okay and the pricing was average.

We visited here on 20th Dec. The taste was decent especially prawns & fish fry. Need more cleanliness and serving was slower. The backyard was good for taking photos. Mostly North Indian style, the choices of fish was limited here. Bit on the expensive side as well.

Delicious food and Good ambience. I liked it a lot. Also the rates were genuine and affordable. Service was also good. One of the waiter gives a 15 min estimate to prepare food and surprisingly he was on time. Appreciate his efforts. It is also good interms of cleanliness and ambience.

Worst restaurant in entire Karwar. Service is pathetic. They take almost an hour to get your order on top of that food isn't served hot and the taste is not that great. They mix up your order with others. If there was an option of giving a zero star then I would've done that. On complaining to one of the staff over there, instead of rectifying their mistake he starts explaining us that we must have patience because they have only few cooks. 🤷🏻‍♀️ They present the food really well I hope they work on it's taste and service as well.

The good rating is for the location & the place. Food is very average maybe even subpar. It’s located right on the highway on the way to Goa. It’s a spacious food court with both North & South Indian cuisines, snacks, ice creams. Has beach right in front of it and good parking space. Service is okish.

I would like to review Ajvi ocean restaurant. It is located in Kodibag, Karwar beside Avery beautiful Rock Garden. It is one of the very spacious food court with a sea facing view. They even provide catering service for small functions or any birthday parties 🥳. Lot of parking space with multiple food options under one roof. You can hangout with family or Friends or loved ones here. They serve both vegetarian and non vegetarian food here. There is a variety of options like north Indian food, Chinese, chats 😋, sea food etc . You can order of your choice and can enjoy the delicious meal with a good atmosphere. The food is very hygienic. Ordered a sandwich 🥪 and the taste was soo good, as per the pricing it was really worth it. Overall a very good experience...

A one stop shop to satisfy most of your cravings in Karwar. Visited this place 4 times in our 3 day stay in Karwar. We discovered this place on the first day amidst sweltering heat and humidity. We were in a group of 11 people and we all took fruit juices and milkshakes which were well prepared, cool and refreshing. The following evening we also sampled some of their rolls and sandwiches. All in all a very good place to grab a bite!

I ordered Chicken Manchurian Momos, Chicken Shawarma with Cheese and Chicken Fried Momos from Zomato. It cost me around 241/- after applying the coupon. The sauce in which Chicken Manchurian Momos was prepared was very very salty. The whole dish was spoiled because of the sauce they used. But i had to give a review to help the public so i tried the salty momos and i must say that momos were really good, the filling was entirely made up of chicken. If the sauce wasn't salty then it could have been a perfect dish. Next i tried fried momos, they were crispy and the filling was full of chicken. They provided momo chutney too which was not too spicy and not too sweet. It was perfect. The only scam i noticed was the chicken shawarma with cheese. THERE WAS NO CHEESE IN THE SHAWARMA. IT WAS A PLAIN CHICKEN SHAWARMA which I've already tried before when I had visited the Taj corner when it was newly opened. I'm the oldest customer there but i never expected this scam from them. We pay extra for cheese shawarma then you must add cheese into it. I only saw mayonnaise mixed with chicken, onion, capsicum and carrot. I'm thoroughly disappointed with the cheese part. Apart from all these cons, the shawarma was tasty, yummy and delicious. My overall experience was ok. It could have been better if I got what I saw on the menu. One of nicest place to have vegetarian and non vegetarian snacks items with good taste than many other in Karwar City. They have Chinese and Indian snacks along with desserts, beverages and ice cream. Flooda with Ice-cream, Gobhi Manvhrian, pav bhaji, veg cutlet, Samosa, veg noodles we tried and like the taste than other option in this city. They do not have option to sit or dining. You can stand and eat. Parking is on road. Staff is good and hygiene is maintained.

Not a place for visiting with expectations. Very basic garden with boating facility, where the speedboat charges are Rs 200 per head for a 4 minute ride. The larger boat ride opens in October(post monsoon).

A small park by the banks of the river Kali providing some great views of the river. The place has a small cafeteria providing tea, coffee and snacks. There is a play area for children and few benches to sit and enjoy the view. The place also provides water rides and ride to the Kali temple on an island (provided there are enough people to fill and pay for the boat ride).

It was an amazing stay at Kali River Garden. The staff were professional and humble, and the service was truly top-class. Our room was neat and clean, adding to the comfort of our stay. The highlight was definitely the boat ride, located at the southeast quadrant of the riverbank near the Kali Bridge — an unforgettable experience! The food was absolutely scrumptious, and my kids had a great time at the playground. Overall, a perfect blend of relaxation, fun, and hospitality. Highly recommended!

Durga bhavani temple dedicated to goddess Durga Devi At a distance of 6.5km from karwar main city. An ancient temple situated on the peak of sadashivgadh hill fort. According to history, Raja Shiv Chhatrapati found this temple. The best view of karwar,Kali River, and Arabian Sea from the top of the temple Durga bhavani temple situated in Sadashiv Gad, a village in North Karnataka, has an ancient history. From Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj visited in 1665 to Portuguese to East India co. In 1799. It was built in 1715 by King Basavalinga after the name of his late father the King Sadashiv. Great temple. It is well maintained and cleaned. Nice interiors. Gives positive vibes.

It's a historical temple located on top of sadashivgad. Historians say Shivaji Maharaj had visited this temple but there is no proof or inscription. During dasara there will be a grand celebration

Midway on the Sadashivagad hill is the many centuries old Durga Bhavani Temple, known for its serenity. From the peak of the hill, the view of the sun setting in the Arabian sea, is an experience in itself.

It's a resort within the fort walls. We reached the resort after asking a few locals for Sadashivagada Qilla. It's on the opposite bank from Kali River Garden. Although the quick drive/ walk up the hill is enjoyable. If you have limited time to spend in Karwar, I will recommend to give this place a miss.

Very good beach view from the resort also can see the traffic crossing the bridge. Just sit and relax to enjoy the view. Only draw back is, have to take steps to reach the place for stay and also for doing any beach activity have to travel little bit.Feel free to get in touch, more than happy to guide.

Forget the fort.. the majestic view of mighty river Kali joining the Arabian sea is a feast for eyes especially during sunset. We have spent almost 2 hrs just watching the river and sea. U ll have ample space to sit. The breeze, the view everything is wonderful.

The fort has been updated into resort and you can't expect a fort to be in place. There are few remains of fort. The view from top was breathing taking,apart from that nothing else.

Windy. Dont bother visiting in Monsoons. The views get blocked from 2 sides. The view is alright, nothing extraordinary. The entrance is from the Temple below. Although a new route is being build up leading to the fort's entrance.

Best for one day trekking, view was awesome in the top. Can see beach, naval base and hills in one place . But one should care there own water bottle and food till certain point.. Pls be careful from snakes. Every turning point indicating by bottle who don't missing you from trekk

Wow Place. The treks starts from Karwar town.. High Church Road. And the muddy trails leads to beautiful jungle and gudehalli village. The trek is lengthy and humid weather makes it more humid. Good Views of Karwar town and sea shore of Karwar.

About 8 kms from Maruti temple, karwar. The actual trek starts 2 to 3 kms into the trail, you have an option to take the 2 wheeler track or take the actual trekking path which is shorter upto the village, where you can take a break. The path after this is through the jungle and some rock climbing until you reach the big rock on the top, once you reach there the view is beautiful and weather is cooler. Make sure to start early in the morning to avoid the heat and carry plenty of drinking water and some fruit for energy and hydration. The whole return journey takes around 6 to 7 hours with a few rest stops. It is worth visting this place.

Trek was moderate, although you should keep in mind to travel with a local guide who has knowledge around the mountain because at north side the hill is covered with dense trees and one can get lost if he's not having idea about where he's heading. Start your trek early in morning because in afternoon it gets too hot to trek in mountain. Be cautious when trekking in rainy season as the path is all muddy and steep and it can get very slippery so one should be prepared. Also don't trek after sunset because of danger by wild animals out there. The trek gives a full view of karwar city.

Best place from trek in karwar town Had to walk around 2hrs till Guddehalli village then 30-40 minutes of step walk to reach mountain top Mesmerizing view from top, you can see the whole karwar town, baitkul town. Now the trail is better mid size suv goes easily.

Place for Tracking in karwar. Best place to visit. The view is best. It took nearly 1.30 to 2 hours to climb to reach village, then 1hour to reach the hill peak. Very safe and good nature. Full road covered with trees so it's very helpful to climb. Best month for tracking is November to February. And best time as per my suggestion is 7 to 7.30am . We went with 30 people's enjoyed alot. Villagers are very friendly. There is also housing facility. You can stay there by booking it. Only one shop is there. Chips, cookies you will get. Water is available. Do visit once It will be a good experience.

Food is amazing especially the simple things like Dal, Omlet, Dosa, Poori, fried rice all amazing like at home. My daughters say it's like how mummy makes it. Kudos to Ms Anguri and Javed and Chef Arindham for their amazing food and service. We will visit this place again.

I had mixed opinion of this place. We made advance reservation but still were disappointed with the service. Whatever we ordered was mostly not available or if it was server has to go ask check it with kitchen (for literally every order). Whatever we ordered quality was good, so was taste.. but the kind of negotiation we had to do with the servers about each item was baffling. (The staff is courteous and kind.. so is the manager) but my whole birthday experience was ruined because of litlle things.

Very mediocre food, ordered a ghee roast masala dosa and a regular masala dosa, could not tell the difference between the two. Waiter seems extremely uninterested in his job, had to wait for really long for anything we asked him. To top it off, they have and AC that is broken and leaking onto the sofa below it, completely soaking it.

Kamat hotels never stops to delight us. The place was really clean and tidy the staff was very welcoming and the food was just delicious. The menu breakfast dishes and also has south indian and north indian thalis, soup, fast food snacks like noodles, Gobi, etc etc various dishes from Kolhapuri, panner, mix veg, mushroom, cashew, and tandoori roti, naan. Chapati use, puri with rice items white rice, fried, curd, jeera, veg biriyani etc etc and sweets such as jamoon.the prices are also reasonable like in any Kamat restaurant We really had a delicious meal in the afternoon. This is my second review this time I visited on 27th August we had dinner there group of 6 people,we had tomato soup, veg manchow soup,both were delicious 😋 butter roti,chilly roti butter naan, paneer masala and peas masala, the food was delicious but we got hair in peas masala so we pointed it out to the staff and they replaced the whole plate, dish and apologized for the mistake so we didn't create much fuss about it. But the taste was really good. We had veg biriyani and dal makhni with white rice that was also really tasty, overall the place hasn't lost its deliciousness so veg lovers can enjoy the taste. So the next day morning we came here for breakfast we had idli wada and masala dosa. Compared to last night's dinner they have to improve on breakfast menu taste because it was pretty dull. Lunch and dinner menu and food is good but breakfast food items taste must be improved.

I visited twice here and it's a Very good restaurant in Karwar city, It's a fully Air Conditioned restaurant which has Beautiful Interiors, Well maintained, clean and hygienic place. Very friendly and courteous staffs, delicious, tasty food. Varieties of Veg food items are available at an affordable price. Quality of the food is good. We tried Dosa, Pav Bhaji and Masala Puri, which was really good. They pay attention to your orders and serve accordingly. During the peak hours, there may be a little wait. Parking space a little bit small. They accept Cash, UPI as well as Cards. (During our Visit, Card Machine was not working) I highly recommend this restaurant

Kamat Plus is an absolutely clean and tidy place for starters. We were looking for good restaurants with great food plus clean washrooms, and this was the one suggested to us, and let me tell you - we were not disappointed! The vegetarian food was absolutely yummy! The south and north thalis were reasonable, quite affordable for people coming from different sections of the society. The French Fries were amazing, crispy and perfectly salty. All paneer dishes were also yum yum. We loved the Fried Rice as well. The gadbad icecream was a little okay, as we were used to nuts and dry fruits in gadbad towards South Karnataka, and the gadbad at Kamat Plus Veg had sugar candy-ish edibles. Overall, the hotel is amazing. Vegetarian food is great here. Go for it!

Good service. Good staff. Very very good food that too at reasonable rate. Good ambience. At ground floor its vegetarian restaurant and cake shop. Non-vegetarian section is on 1st floor beside Pizzeria. Parking may be issue during peak hours as only 4 4-wheelers can be parked at alloted place. No issues for 2-wheeler.
