Historical landmark
Fortress
Konda Reddy Fort, a historical marvel in Kurnool, offers sweeping views of the city from its top. Despite some areas being in ruins, it remains a significant landmark built by the rulers of the Vijayanagar Empire. The fort showcases the rich cultural heritage of the region and impresses history and architecture enthusiasts with its magnificence. While well-maintained, some parts require attention for preservation.
Konda Reddy Fort, also known as Konda Reddy Buruju, is a prominent historical landmark located in the heart of Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. It's a significant remnant of the old Kurnool fort and holds a rich history. The fort is famously named after Konda Reddy, a revolutionary figure and the last ruler of Alampur, who was imprisoned in this very tower by the Kurnool Nawab in the 17th century. Legend has it that he attempted to escape through its secret tunnels. His resistance and eventual martyrdom in the prison gave the tower its enduring name. The fort's origins date back to the 12th century, with significant construction and development attributed to the Vijayanagara rulers, particularly Achyuta Devarayalu.
Harish R — Google review
This is not a kind of fort, it is just a small and old building, we can say. The property is very well maintained and there is no entry ticket to visit there. You can explore this fort within just 10 minutes. You can get a view of old Kurnool from the top of the fort. Indian flag 🇮🇳 is also there and that looks very good to see. If you are visiting Kurnool for a first time, you can give your 30 minutes to this place.
Prashant P — Google review
There is 2 levels for this fort which os very small to climb. One needs just 10 15 max to go around. There is no displays of its historic importance. If you are visiting kurnool and have nothing to do can visit this place

Historic and main attraction of Kurnool. I have been visiting for last 55 years. Now light and sound show every night. Food courts and promenade added. Busy and bustling area.
Srinivas B — Google review
The historical place of Kurnool which is very famous for it's history and iconic construction. Don't miss to read it's details from wiki.....
Harsha S — Google review
Originating in the 12th century, it was initially constructed when Kurnool served as a key base near the Tungabhadra River crossing . Later expanded between 1530–1542 CE by Vijayanagara rulers, especially Achyuta Devaraya (successor of Krishnadevaraya) Named after Konda Reddy, the last local ruler of Alampur, who was allegedly imprisoned there by the Nawab of Kurnool and escaped through underground tunnels.
Vineeth C — Google review
There are no noteworthy features found in Kondareddy Fort. The surrounding areas are waste. The food at the tiffin point is good.
Chandan 1 — Google review
This was built by ruler of Kandenavolu, now Kurnool, and presently a standing monumental evidence of that era. Presently this is maintained by archeology department. It is decorated with lights during night for beautiful and lovely appearance and attraction. A noting is displayed by archeology department about its history and significance. A worth historical monument to visit in Kurnool city.

Nestled along the bustling highway of Kurnool, Arunodaya Restaurant stands out as a delightful pit stop for travelers. This charming eatery is renowned for its inviting ambiance and exceptional service, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a meal during your journey. Whether you're craving authentic Andhra cuisine or exploring North Indian and Asian flavors, Arunodaya has something to satisfy every palate.
One of the oldest restaurants in Kurnool. Almost all food options are available for kids youngsters and old age people. The staff is also polite and attend the customers properly. The quality and quantity of the food is also too good. Services also fast and it takes hardly 10 minutes after we place the order

Food is good, I had dine in earlier which is good. But when I ordered for take away, it took nearly 30 mins. I ordered 5 items, they are preparing food 1 by 1. As it was on Sunday and crowd is huge they are not able to manage. But taste is excellent.

I am writing this review after visiting this restaurant multiple times, and honestly, I am fed up almost half of the time. It feels more like a mess than a restaurant, though the pricing is definitely like a restaurant. Even though the menu is huge with a lot of varieties, most of the dishes taste almost the same, just a slight change in spice or flavor. Paneer dishes deserve a special mention, as the paneer always tastes a little spoiled and is quite hard and it happened almost 4 out of 6 times of my visit. The butter naan too often tastes sour, which is very disappointing. Overall, the place is overhyped and not that worth for the price or the ambience.
Revanth Y — Google review
We ordered food in train and ordered phulka + paneer butter masala for Around 400 rupees. Since we are ordering from train ,the packaging should be proper and atleast paper plates should be given . How can we eat food delivered just in polythene cover? If anyone is ordering from train, please do not order from here.

Lotus Restaurant in Kurnool is a must-visit for food enthusiasts, offering a delightful selection of local dishes like natu kodi pulusu, fish roast, and biryani. The restaurant boasts a fantastic atmosphere that's perfect for family outings. While prices are slightly higher, the delectable North and South Indian cuisine makes it worth it. Vegetarians can savor Butter Naan and various curries while non-vegetarians can indulge in fish Tikka and Mandie.
Generous portion size and vast options with well-balanced flavours catering to different taste buds and dietary preferences. The place was easy to locate and would be ideal for families or larger groups.

The worst chicken Mandi I’ve ever had 🤢 — couldn’t even finish 1/4 of the small portion. To top it off, saw cockroaches 🪳 on the dining table and in the washing area. Good luck 👍 to those who eat here often!

One of the best places in Kurnool for food! The mutton biryani was absolutely delicious, and the butter chicken was also very good. The best part was the salad served with pineapple alongside the biryani — a really nice touch.

We were returning from Hyderabad to Bangalore, we entered the restaurant at its closing time at around 10:45 pm. But the food was freshly made and it was hot. The exterior of the building might not look pleasing, but as they say: Don't Judge a Book by its Cover. The ambience of the restaurant was wonderful. The washrooms were good. The staff was really generous and polite. Last but not the least, the taste was mind blowing. The meat of the Mandi was really tender. The staff guided us well to what to order in. Also, after getting some information about the restaurant, we got to know that it had received awards from eminent chefs like Chef Vikas Khanna and Chef Ranvir Brar. The price for the quantity which they served is really worth it. Our experience with Malik Lotus Restaurant was really good and hope to visit it again. Overall it's a 10/10.

Ajwa Restaurant is a popular spot, so it's best to visit during off-peak hours to avoid the crowds. The flavors of their cuisine are exceptional, thanks to the unique blend of spices used in their recipes. The restaurant is known for its delicious roast chicken biryani and other chicken starters. While parking can be challenging, the food makes it worth the effort. The restaurant prides itself on preserving traditional cooking methods and rituals, resulting in an unforgettable dining experience.
Vibe and ambience is not that good , little uncomfortable for family , but food is good , I recommend chilly chicken and special Biriyani , tried chicken roast Biriyani it wasn’t that good , visit during 1 pm and after 7 pm .

Don't let the modest exterior fool you—this place is a culinary masterpiece! I was on my way to another restaurant when my Rapido driver suggested this spot, and I'm so glad he did. The ambiance is that of a cozy, no-frills cafe, which initially didn't impress me, but the food? Absolutely mind-blowing.I originally wanted to order mutton biryani, but since they weren't serving smaller portions and I went with Chicken Biryani and was completely flabbergasted. For just 180 rupees, the portion was massive, packed with so much chicken that I couldn't even finish it all. The biryani itself was unbelievably good. The fresh, crisp salad was a perfect accompaniment, and the shorba was the best I've ever had. But the true star of the show was the Gongura chutney served mid-meal—it was the ultimate game-changer and elevated the entire experience. I've never been one to write reviews, but this meal was pure "sukoon." An ultimate and unforgettable experience.

The best time to visit is as early as 1 PM afternoon and 7 PM Bcoz it will crowded very much . Taste of food is next level especially in gravy and starters when compared to ajwa exotica this ajwa is far better . The must try here are any chicken starter and chicken roast biryani . Parking is difficult here recommend not to come in cars choose 2 wheeler rather .

Kurnool Agricultural Market Committee

Market
Kurnool Agricultural Market Committee is the largest agriculture market in Andhra Pradesh, attracting farmers from various regions like Maharashtra, Telangana, and Karnataka. The market offers a wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and other grocery items directly from local farmers. However, there are concerns about brokers taking advantage of inexperienced farmers by purchasing valuable items at low prices. Despite being crowded and facing cleanliness issues, the market provides a convenient location near the bus stand and railway station.
This is a great place where the farmer community comes and sells their product for wholesale and where customers take the fresh products home and through here only they are dispatched to all over raithu bazars.

In Andhrapradesh this kurnool is biggest agriculture market, so many farmers came from different locations like maharstara, Telangana, karnataka.. Agriculture commodity market. Market isn't that big. Always crouded with formers. Pickpocketers and some thieves are common. Be careful while in the market. Cleanliness is not good. Adoni market yard is far better in size and maintainance. But is very near to busstand and railway station. This is the main advantage. Near by Rythubazar is there

Hangout is a cozy spot perfect for friends to enjoy delicious food, especially their biryani. It's a small restaurant near Kurnool that offers a variety of South Indian dishes at reasonable prices. The food plaza also serves as a quick breakfast stop on the way to Ananthapur. Guests have enjoyed dishes like upma, pongal, sambar idly, noodles, fried rice, and oreo shake.
Hangout Restaurant has truly mastered the art of South Indian cuisine! Their Masala Dosa is a crispy delight, with the perfect balance of spices in the potato filling, paired with heavenly chutneys and sambar. The idlis are light, fluffy, and melt-in-your-mouth perfection. I was equally impressed by their puri bhaji, which is a comforting mix of soft, golden puris and flavorful, well-spiced potato curry. Each bite transported me to food heaven. The service was quick and friendly, and the ambiance makes it a perfect place to enjoy a meal with family and friends. During my journey to Hyderabad Airport on 2nd June 2025, I decided to stop by Hangout which is located at KSR CONVENTIONS, Hyderabad - Bangalore Hwy, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh 518002 for a quick meal, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. Located conveniently on the Hyderabad-Bangalore Highway, it's an ideal pit stop for travelers heading to or from the airport. Ambiance & Cleanliness: The restaurant boasts a modern and clean ambiance, making it a pleasant place to relax and enjoy a meal. The seating is comfortable, and the overall environment is well-maintained, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The washrooms were also clean and hygienic, adding to the overall positive experience. Food & Pricing: I opted for a Plain Dosa priced at ₹75 and a Medu Vada for ₹80. The total bill amounted to ₹170, which was quite reasonable for the quality and portion sizes offered. Both dishes were freshly prepared and served hot, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality. Family-Friendly: Hangout is a great place for families, kids, and groups to gather and enjoy a meal together. The spacious seating arrangements and diverse menu cater to various tastes, making it a suitable choice for all ages. Facilities: The restaurant offers ample parking space, ensuring convenience for guests traveling by car. The staff is attentive and ensures that guests have a comfortable dining experience. Overall Experience: My visit to Hangout was thoroughly enjoyable. The combination of delicious food, clean environment, and excellent service makes it a standout choice for anyone traveling through Kurnool. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Have been visiting this restaurant while travelling on NH 44 since 2-3 years. It was a decent restaurant until recently. Our last visit was a pathetic experience. We entered the restaurant around 2 PM. There were hardly some 6-7 people. previously, it used to be full of people. We ordered Gobi Manchurian and veg meals. Gobi was below average. We were just hoping for the meals to be good. Except for the rice and papad, everything was bad. To top that there was a fly in the food. No wonder the other nearby restaurants are doing good while this looks empty. Will never visit this place again.

But the waiter asked for tip which is kind of irritating.. even though I have the intention to give tip, if someone asks for tip directly in such a nice restaurant it irritates me. Orvakallu Rock Gardens is a sprawling 1000-acre park that boasts of unique rock formations, ponds and a cave museum. It offers picturesque hiking trails that are popular among visitors who come here to take photographs. However, entry fees need to be paid and there have been reports of alcohol bottles found in the area which should not be allowed in public spaces. Additionally, visitors have noted a lack of proper maintenance with littered bottles strewn about and names etched on the rocks.
A beautiful natural formation located near the Kurnool Airport near the town of Orvakal. During cloudy days or in the evenings, one can peacefully enjoy the beautiful and ancient unique rock formations and canyon like features and boulders present in the area. There’s some parking available as well as basic food and washrooms but they aren’t that great. It’s good for a quick visit on the Rayalaseema Expressway between Kurnool and Tirupati or Chittoor. However, one must be vigilant of the drop into the canyon, as well as monkeys which can sometimes steal food or other items from visitors.

I visited on July 8 for dinner with friends, and the experience was quite disappointing. We had to wait over 30 minutes just to place our order, even though the restaurant wasn’t too busy. The staff seemed unorganized and uninterested. I ordered the Matton mandi, which arrived cold and lacked flavor. One of our dishes was served wrong, . The tables were sticky, and the washroom wasn’t clean. Overall, poor service and average food for the price. I hope the management takes this seriously and improves both quality and staff behavior. My favourite is Pesarratru and masala dosa. Vada sambar is too tasty. Speciality is chappati and kurma. All other items are equally good in taste. If you VISIT Kurnool donot miss it.

Ajantha Meals and Tiffin in Kurnool is a hidden gem! The food quality is exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. What's even more impressive is the economical pricing - you get great value for your money. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty meal or a quick bite, Ajantha Meals and Tiffin is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

What makes this place stand out is its tasty sambar. If you're taking a parcel, extra sambar costs ₹10. There’s plenty of seating and open parking. Just note that some tiffin items may not be available after 12 PM. Ig: @kullatankin

Ajantha Meals & Tiffin Center is the oldest and one of the best tiffin centers in Kurnool. This pure vegetarian hotel has built a strong reputation for its tasty South Indian breakfast options. The must-try dishes here are the masala dosa, ravva dosa, and idli with sambar. Each dish is flavorful, and the quality has been consistent over the years. The service is simple but efficient, and the food is reasonably priced. If you're in Kurnool and craving a delicious, traditional South Indian breakfast, Ajantha is definitely worth a visit!
Akram M — Google review
tiffins ok but the service is not so good, if ask extra chutney or anyting, staff will feel like giving their property to us, and coming to meals, its so worst, going to have meals in Ajantha, before we have to think once. Actually in some hotels, mess, or restaurants, for 100/ means they will serve various curries pickles, papad and also starters, if any. But here first of all they won't serve enough lunch, with that amount they will serve plate meals only, and also only one Dal (Pappu) and one curry which we have to make some efforts to eat that curry. If any one afternoon, visited this restaurant with lot of hungry, its a biggest punishment to them. once upon a time without knowing this all, I blindly went to this restaurant and G-payed 100/- and while I sat, the staff told this situation. By knowing this Without eating food I getup and went out. seating and surroundings is so un hygenic. The manage in the counter will focus only on counting currency notes but not on customer satisfaction. They are doing bussiness with Hungerness of people, but they wont serve full satisfactionary meals to customers. So be aware and think once before entering into this Ajantha Restaurant

Self service hotel, not expensive reasonably good in price but have to improve the services and sitting arrangements. The food tastes average, you would find all the south indian dishes. 4 wheeler parking is too difficult however 2 wheeler parking can be found in the street if you are lucky

Nestled in the vibrant Budavara Peta area of Kurnool, Suvas Restaurant is a delightful culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. With its inviting ambiance and attentive staff, guests are treated to generous portions of delicious food at surprisingly affordable prices. While some dishes like the paneer butter may not stand out, the Mughlai chicken curry has garnered rave reviews for its rich flavors.
The portion sizes were generous and perfectly reasonable. The staff were friendly and highly attentive throughout our visit. Our server ensured that our glasses and plates were always full. Given the upscale atmosphere, I fully expected a hefty bill, but I was surprised to find that it was quite affordable; an unbeatable value for both the quality and quantity offered. 😀

This place serves excellent food. Right from the Soups till maincourse everything I tried was spot-on. We tried Chicken Manchow Soup, Bhatti Murgh Tikka, Chicken Majestic and Mughlai Murgh Handi along with Butter Rotis. Chicken Manchow Soup was good, Bhatti Murgh Tikka was spicy but the accompanying Curd and mint chutney was so soothing. Having each bite was so wonderful. The kababs were perfectly marinated and literally melted in the mouth. Chicken Majestic was one of the best i had till date. Mughlai Murgh Handi was mild in spice and went perfectly with butter naans. Service was bit slow which was a big turn off however their food compensate to it. They have parking facility for vehicles. Overall a good place to try in Kurnool.

North side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the north side side of town. Start the day off with Sri Yaganti Uma Maheswara Temple, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Sri Dakshina Shirdi Sai Baba Temple. All together, your day would be filled with about 6 hours of non-stop fun.

Yaganti Temple is a 15th-century Hindu temple renowned for its intricate stonework and surrounding rock formations. The temple complex consists of three caves, including one dedicated to Lord Shiva, which requires ascending a few steps to reach. The interior of the Shiva temple exudes vitality and color, inviting visitors to linger awhile. Local shops are available outside the temple, situated amidst rocky hills and ruins.
Yaganti Temple is truly a beautiful and divine place. Surrounded by stunning rock formations and peaceful natural scenery, the temple has a unique charm you won't find anywhere else. The ancient architecture, the growing Nandi statue, and the calm caves around make the experience feel spiritual and magical. It's not just a temple, but a perfect blend of nature, history, and devotion. A must-visit if you're looking for beauty and peace together.

Yaganti is located about 80 kms off the NH near Kurnool. The Uma Maheswara Temple is built by the Vijayanagara Kings in the 16th century. The place is surrounded by hills and is surreal. The drive takes you through hills and ravines and is an adventure in itself... worth the drive. We really enjoyed the beauty of the place and its history... legend says that Sage Bramha and Sage Agastya meditated in the caves surrounding the Temple. A must visit with family to understand our Rich culture and history.

Excellent temple, No crow is to be seen with in the premises as cursed by the great sage Agastya muni. 3 caves for Agastya muni, Venkateshwara swamy and Vishnu cave which needs some effort to climb all the stairs. Basavanna seems to be growing inch by inch as prophesised by Srimadvirat Pothuluri veera bhramendra swamy varu.

Yaganti temple is very old and historical temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Inside the Garbhagruha, if closely observed, you can see both Uma (Parvathi) and Maheswara (Shiva) images on Lingam, thats why the name Uma Maheswara. We can touch the Lingam if we take special ticket for abhishekam and perform the abhishekam with our own hands. Inside the temple is very calm and peaceful, we can even do the meditation. There is a water pond inside the temple where the water flow continuously, not sure where it comes from. The main attraction of the temple is the Basavanna (Bull), who is growing every year. There are many historical caves around this temple, Dont miss to visit them.

Why do we choose specific dining places? People often seek out better options for enjoying their meals. Unfortunately, the food served here was quite disappointing and didn't leave a positive impression. The only highlight was the waiter, who provided excellent service. While the ambiance was pleasant, it was surprising to find that in such a large restaurant, the restrooms were not well maintained, and the wash basins were less than satisfactory. The quality of the food really fell short of expectations. It feels like the restaurant exists just in name, lacking the essential qualities one would hope for in a dining experience. I found it to be quite a disappointing visit. I would caution anyone, regardless of where they’re from, to think twice before dining here. My advice would be to avoid this place entirely, as you might end up feeling let down. Until they invest in better chefs and improve their cooking, I would recommend saving your money, time, and taste buds for somewhere else.

I stayed at the Mourya Inn and had the pleasure of dining at their restaurant "Aahar Fine Dining" for breakfast. The food was absolutely amazing—delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. But what made the experience truly memorable was the hospitality. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, serving every guest with genuine happiness and care. It’s not just a meal, it’s an experience of heartfelt service. A special mention to Mr. Chalapathi, who manages the restaurant with great dedication. He personally checks in with every guest to ensure they’re comfortable and well taken care of, which adds a very personal touch to the whole experience. If you’re visiting Kurnool, I highly recommend staying at Mourya Inn and dining here. You won’t be disappointed!

During my visit to Kurnool, I had the pleasure of dining at Aahar Fine Dining on 30th May 2025, and it was a delightful experience. Located in Kurnool (40-304, Risaldar Masjid Rd, Bhagya Nagar, River View Colony, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh 518004), this vegetarian restaurant offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for a meal with family or friends. Ambiance & Cleanliness: The restaurant boasts a modern and clean ambiance, with comfortable seating arrangements that create a pleasant dining environment. The staff is attentive and ensures that guests have a comfortable experience. Food & Pricing: I opted for a Plain Dosa priced at ₹75 and a Medu Vada for ₹95. The total bill amounted to ₹179, including taxes, which was quite reasonable for the quality and portion sizes offered. Both dishes were freshly prepared and served hot, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality. Overall Experience: My visit to Aahar Fine Dining was thoroughly enjoyable. The combination of delicious food, clean environment, and excellent service makes it a standout choice for anyone in Kurnool. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

They had instrumental music playing and that was nice. Could lower the volume a bit. The air conditioning was excellent. The staff were extremely polite and went out of the way to please. That's a huge plus. The food though, was a disappointment. On the first evening, we had dum aloo - described as baby potatoes - but the dish was made of regular potatoes stuffed with something. On the second day, I asked for a cheese garlic naan. As with most places that I have experienced, they were stingy with cheese and it was barely noticeable in the naan. So I asked for a second portion, without garlic and specifically mentioning that I wanted it to be loaded with cheese. It was only marginally better than the first. All in all, the north indian food at least isn't all too great.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5 A truly divine and peaceful place! The Sai Baba Temple in Kurnool offers a spiritually uplifting experience. As soon as you enter the premises, you feel a deep sense of calm and serenity. The temple is beautifully maintained and the surroundings are very pleasant. One of the most special things here is the view of the Tungabhadra river—absolutely breathtaking! The temple is situated close to the riverbed, and from certain spots, you can enjoy a scenic, soul-soothing view that makes your visit even more memorable. Thursdays are especially sacred here. The Anna Prasadam (free meal) served is not just tasty but offered with devotion, making it feel even more special and divine. Whether you're seeking peace, blessings, or just a quiet moment by the river, this place has it all. A must-visit if you're in or around Kurnool! 🙏✨

The better hotel of Kurnool. Quite old hotel infrastructure . Though management tries to maintain it shows up, Reception and service team are very polite and helpful. Got complimentary breakfast free two persons per room and pure vegetarian breakfast, but Vegetarian and Non vegetarian restaurant are available for in-house guests.

Old Hotel with pathetic staff, the food service is super slow (expect atleast 1 hour waiting time once food is ordered), the hotel has leaking central cooling with water dripping all over. The rooms are having a constant stinkIng smell. The parking is too congested and over crowded. Overall a very bad experience.

Quite old hotel infra. Though management tries to maintain it shows up . Used for overnight stay with family and found it decent enough. But had broken/removable patch in ceiling due to old AC removal in rooms which is yet to be fixed, worn out corridor. Staff was cooperative

Vegetarian restaurant
Prasanna Mess is a well-known chain of vegetarian restaurants with locations across India. It's highly regarded for its authentic South Indian cuisine, particularly its tiffin offerings. The restaurant in C-Camp, Kurnool, is especially popular for serving traditional South Indian tiffins at affordable prices. Customers praise the fluffy idlis, crispy dosas, flavorful puris, savory vadas, and perfectly fried mysore-bhajis.

Authentic South Indian Tiffin Delights at Affordable Prices ⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you're craving a taste of South India right here in Kurnool, look no further than Prasanna Mess, C-Camp. Nestled in the heart of the city, this hidden gem offers a mouthwatering array of traditional South Indian tiffins at prices that won't break the bank. From fluffy idlis to crispy dosas, flavorful puris to savory vadas, and perfectly fried mysore-bhajis, Prasanna Mess, C-Camp has something to satisfy every craving. The authenticity of their dishes truly shines through, transporting your taste buds straight to the streets of Chennai or Bangalore. One of the standout features of Prasanna Mess, C-Camp is its affordability. In an era where dining out often means sacrificing quality for cost, this establishment manages to strike the perfect balance. Whether you're a student on a budget or a family looking for a delicious yet economical meal, you'll find great value here. However, I deducted one star due to the cleanliness of the premises. While the food itself is impeccable, the overall hygiene standards could use some improvement. I believe that enhancing cleanliness would further elevate the dining experience and attract even more customers. Despite this minor drawback, I wholeheartedly recommend Prasanna Mess, C-Camp to anyone craving a taste of South India without breaking the bank. With its delicious offerings and reasonable prices, it's no wonder this place is a local favorite. So, next time you're in the mood for some authentic South Indian tiffins, head over to Prasanna Mess, C-Camp for a culinary journey you won't soon forget!

Beautiful, beautiful temple in a beautiful place. The trek was nice and adventurous. Not very tough . Lovely walking through the streams . Few steps to climb and have to go below a waterfall to reach the temple. Small temple attached to a cliff. Beautiful view all along. The path to reach back has a lot of stairs. We saw few people coming back in the same path as climbing up as this path is walking in the stream.

Ahobilam trekking is a unique and spiritually enriching experience in Andhra Pradesh, India, especially for those interested in a blend of nature, adventure, and devotion. Here's a detailed review: ⭐ Ahobilam Trekking Review 📍 Location Ahobilam is located in the Nallamala Hills of the Eastern Ghats, Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh. It's famous for being the abode of Lord Narasimha, with 9 shrines (Nava Narasimha) scattered across the forested hills. 🥾 Trekking Experience 🔹 Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging The lower shrines (like Prahlada Varadan and Yogananda Narasimha) are easily accessible. The upper shrines (like Jwala, Ugra, and Malola Narasimha) involve steep climbs, rocky paths, and some slippery sections in the monsoon.
TARLAPALLY M — Google review
An awe-inspiring spiritual experience! The trek to Jwala Narasimha Swamy Temple in Ahobilam is adventurous yet deeply peaceful, surrounded by stunning hills, waterfalls, and divine energy. Truly a must-visit for both trekkers and devotees!
Sangeetha N — Google review
Fill the power of hill water drop after reaching thirsty. Little difficult to reach but you can reach through the river, hill steps and iron bridge. Nice place enjoy the tracking. God Narasimha will help you all the way to reach him.

Moolavar : Sri Jwala Narasimha Thayar : Sri Chenchu Lakshmi Some the salient features of this temple are… The temple is also a Cave temple faces east with a built up mukha mandapam. Stucco image of Narasuimhar and Prahalad are on the top of the mukha mandapam. The shrine appears to be a natural cave. The temple of Jwala Narasimha, lies higher up the Malola temple, on a hill called ‘Achalachaya Meru’. This place is said to be the actual spot where the ferocity or anger of the Lord reached its acme when he tore Hiranyakasipu. It is some what difficult to reach this place as we have to pass through a narrow passage made by cutting and chiselling the rocks of the peak on one side, while to the other side of this passage there is a very deep valley. One has to walk very carefully. It is told that the spot where Jwala Narasimha is sitting with Hiranyakasipu on his lap, is the threshold of the main entrance door of the spacious palace of Hiranyakasipu. Cleaving one of the pillars of the demon’s palace, Narasimha manifested himself. The part of this pillar standing erect has the shape of a lofty hill. This vertical hilly pillar is called Achalachayameru. The cleaven side of the standing part is straight and at right angles to the foot part of it. On the precipice of this peak, there are three steel posts erected. On the surface of these steel posts, the names of the devotees erecting them are engraved. It is generally believed that after slaying Hiranyakasipu, Narasimha looked very frightful. To pacify him, Indra and other gods poured suraganga water (celestial Ganges) on his head which flowed down as a stream into the nearby valley and the latter turned into a river called Bhavanasini. In front of this shrine, there is a small pond below a fully open cave. The water of this pond is reddish. The colour of the water is said to be due to Narasimha’s washing his hands here after tearing the abdomen of Hiranyakasipu. There are three idols in the shrine, a. Ashtabuja Narasimha b. Chaturbuja Narasimha, and c. Narasimha chasing Hiranyakasipu. a. Ashtabhuja Narasimha… The main deity seated at the centre is with eight arms. He is seated on a Garudapeeda and a small image of Prahlada is placed to the left of Narasimha, standing with folded hands/ Anjali hastam. The sculpture suggests massive energy and vigorous action. The first pair of hands catches hold of Hiranyakashipu’s crown and renders him motionless, while the other pair by tightly gripping the sword - carrying hand of Hiranyakashipu, completely disarms and overpowers him. The second pair of hands is engaged in tearing open the entrails of the demon lying on the folded right leg of the God. The third pair of hands hold Sankha and Chakra and fourth pair holds the intestine of the demon in the shape of a garland. A prabhavali with kirtimukha is carved in the same stone. Stylistically this image goes back to the early Vijayanagara period. b. Chaturbhuja Narasimha… This image is depicted in the standing posture coming out of the pillar (Stambhodbhava-murti). This is said to represent the Kevala Narasimha form. This is a very rare form and appears to be earlier. Narasimhar has four hands, the two upper hands holding chakra and shankha and the lower hands are depicted downwards as though he is tearing the demon. But peculiarly the demon is not depicted. Lakshmi is seated to the right and Prahlada stands to the left and the god is adorned with Karandamakuta. Stylistically this image appears to be earlier than the above and may belong to the 7th-8th century A.D. c. Narasimha chasing the Hiranyakashipu… The third image depicts Narasimha as advancing towards Hiranyakashipu from the right, as the latter is approaching in a defiant attitude, with his sword lifted up to strike. Narasimha is made to take hold of the body of Hiranyakasipu so as to overpower him. Moreover the right hand of Narasimha is held up as if he is going to deal a blow to the enemy with the open palm of the hand.

Maintenance good. Go by early morning. For elderly people, doli is available at a cost. Cellphone no towers deep in the forest. Sree Ahobilam Narasimha Swamy Stotram "Hiranya Sthambha Sambhuthim Prakhyaatha Paramaathmane Prahladaarthumushe Jwala Narasimhaaya Mangalam" Meaning of the Sloka Hails to the Paramathma (Supreme soul) Sri Jwala Narasimha who had come out of the pillar and removed the sorrows of Bhakta Prahlada. 1. Sri Jwala Narasimha Swamy is seated on a Garuda Peetham with eight hands holding Shankha and Chakra in the upper two hands. 2. He is holding Hiranyakasipu on his lap with two hands. 3. He is tearing the stomach of Hiranyakasipu with two hands and wearing his intestines as a garland with two other hands. 4. This Kshetram also removes the difficulties of drought and unseasonal rains. There are other four moorthis in the shrine - Sthambhodhbhava Narasimha (Narasimha coming out of the pillar); 1. Narasimha Swamy fighting with 2. Hiranyakashipu; 3. Sri Maha Vishnu; 4. Shukracharya
Senthil M — Google review
Jwala Narasimha Swamy Temple is one of the nine Narsimha temples in Ahobilam. This Temple is located at about 4 Kms from the Upper Ahobilam Temple, on a hill called, 'Achala Chaya Meru'. One has to go under the waterfall of the Bhavanasini River to reach this temple. It is believed that the entire area of Ahobilam was actually Hiranyakasipu’s palace and it was at the spot where the temple stood that Lord Narasimha actually killed the Hiranyakasipu. Jwala means flame and this is where Lord Narasimha was at the peak of his anger. There is a small pond near this temple called Rakta Kunda Tirtha. Here Lord Narasimha washed his blood-stained hands and hence the color of the water of this Kunda turned red. The planet name is Kuja.

Somehow there don't seem to be many good restaurants in Kurnool. The old Kurnool had quite a few restaurants and hotels that used to serve Vegetarian food but of late it seems most of the hotels in this town have started serving non-vegetarian food and this is not an exception. Food is average, staff are ok to the town and the ambience is not something you can ask for here.

It’s a very old establishment. Only meals available. Cost is 60 ₹ per plate. Very limited items . Nice taste if you are ok with typical local spice . Hygiene is good and neat, the space is spacious ... but there is no parking space for cars. Staff are a bit curt even the person at the billing counter. We took off route from highway as someone had recommended this place.

While traveling to hyderbad my friend has suggested to visit this place if looking for food with decent taste and price . We ordered Madhu restaurant special dry for starter which costs 260 ,the item is boneless chicken fry tossed with omelette and mirchi ,the item looks good and it is a bit spicy . Coming to the main course we have ordered parota and natu Kodi curry which is good with a settled taste. Coming to the prices each parota costs 25 and natu kodi costs 240 ,the quantity wise it will be enough for 4 members and taste also good . Finally we ordered chicken biryani which cost around 180 ,the biryani is average I have not liked it much ,the rice is also very dry and the taste is also average .the biryani comes with 2 pieces of chicken . Finally ,I recommend to visit this place if you like spicy food .

Customers rave about the hot and smokey flavor, noting that the chicken has more meat and less coating while still maintaining its crispiness. The spices used in their recipes are particularly delightful to the taste buds. While some feel that other menu items like burgers could be improved, the overall consensus is positive.

Tanveer A — Google review
The best in fried chicken. Me and my friends usually order from this place only . One thing we regularly order is hot and smokey. This fried chicken has more meat and less coating and yet it is crispy. The spices used are really a treat to the taste buds. All other items such as popcorn are also good. But the burgers and other items should be improved as they are not upto the mark and taste like as if they are made forcefully. The waiting time should also be reduced as it takes more time to get delivered the item.

The maintenance of the hotel is very good. We visited once and ordered biryani, so pathetic taste is worst and it almost tasted sweetly. The starters are some what better. Ordered different curries but they all looked same much added food colour in the curries. If you are a hyderabadi or a biryani lover better not to visit this place. Only service is better nothing of use when the taste is worst.
Koushik K — Google review
We ordered chicken biryani, pulka, and mutton curry. First, I noticed that the pulka was getting dry. The chicken biryani seemed like it was made from refrigerated items and had turned hard. My recommendation: don’t go to this restaurant—worst food and service.Even 1 rating also waste.

Masala Dosa The traditional southern Indian dish known as masala dosa is popular throughout the country, made from a batter of soaked rice and black lentils, which are ground into a paste and blended to create a thick batter, usually left to ferment overnight. The mixture is enriched with a handful of fenugreek seeds, which gives the dosa its distinctive golden-brown color and a delicious, crispy texture. It is then baked on a hot oiled griddle into a thin pancake and often stuffed with potatoes, onions, and mustard seeds before being garnished with grated coconut and chopped coriander. It is usually consumed as a quick snack, but can also be a breakfast dish.
