Uluwatu Temple, also known as Pura Luhur, is a historic Hindu temple situated on a cliff with breathtaking ocean views. The temple hosts traditional dance performances, including the famous kecak dance at sunset. It is also home to a colony of monkeys that roam the area. Nearby, there's Alila Villas, an impressive hotel perched on a clifftop with stunning suites and villas featuring a cliffside infinity pool overlooking the ocean.
🐒 Monkeys love prescription eyewear because they have a secret library!😉 I very much enjoyed the show in the amphitheatre overlooking thenocean at sunset. Do try to arrive by 5:15-5:30 for the 6 o'clock show. Attendants will encourage people to sit closer several times so that as many people as possible can sit. Once the show begins: - Read the information sheet to know what is going on and appreciate an ancient story being told in a majestic context by a group of highly skilled performers. Accept that it is unfamiliar and enjoy. - Do not chat loudly, but wisper with your friends. - Do not watch Tik Tok, Instagram, etc with the volume on if you are bored. - Do no stand-up to capture something, as others also want to see. - And, though we admire assertive people who have the gumption to ask a whole row of people to "please move down... we also want to see the show", doing so when the show is already on and complaining "why are they asking me to sush-down?" when you keeps complaining about not having enough room is the definition of "disruptive". You are guests to something unique even though you have paid to attend. - Don't expect the actors to jump into the crowd or to recruit you (hint hint)

5 stars for the AMAZING sunset you can watch from there. This is not to miss. You absolutely must catch the Sunset from here. It's one of the best I have ever seen. Warning ⚠️! Be very very careful of the monkeys there. They are aggressive and will go for your Phones, spectacles and all the lose items. Saw them snatch a poor fellows mobile from his hand while he was clicking pictures. Aside from that it is a wonderful place and you can watch Kecak dance if you want to as well. We skipped it as it was too crowded. You can buy the tickets after reaching there, no meed to book in advance. Cost of entry is 50000 IDR per person. They also give you the purple cloth to drape free of charge. You can follow my journey on a_wayfarers_odyssey on Instagram!

Aggressive monkey alert. You know this is a major problem if the guides have to remind guests not to wear jewelry, be alert at all times, and are patrolling the area to shoo monkeys away. In a span of 30min, we witnessed monkeys stealing hats off visitors heads, water bottles stolen, handphones lifted from open bags and swarming towards people holding plastic bags. Also watch out for monkeys coming up the cliff walls. I would not visit this place because spectacles might get snatched and smashed. The kecak dance queues are incredibly long and guests wait a long time in the heat to get a choice of seats. It felt like a tourist trap, so if you're interested in jist the sunset views, feel free to skip the dance and enjoy the temple views. Unfortunately, it was a very cloudy day when we visited so we couldn't get a good sunset shot. The entire grounds could be covered in less than 30min so plan your trip well for sunset if that's your only goal. It is 50k pax for temple only visit (no dance) and we paid in cash. Temple requires legs to be covered so long sashes are freely available at the entrance for those who are not wearing long pants/shorts. I would suggest visiting their website for a map of the grounds.

Great place to explore dharmic side of Bali. But access to worship area is totally restricted that was a bit disappointing for practicing Hindu like me. Still a good place to visit. And don’t miss Kechak dance there.
Ashok S — Google review
Amazing views from the cliff to admire Indian Ocean. Every evening there’s Kecak dance show you can watch during sunset (6pm and 7pm). Be aware of the monkeys - they like to mess up and steal your goods including sunglasses and phones! I recommend to come before sunset for the best views and stay till it gets dark.
Paweł C — Google review
Great to see but there is a lot of walking and no clear direction. Monkeys are a bonus, previous reviews said they were aggressive but we had no problems. Need to wear coverings if in shorts but these are provided for free upon entry.
Oliver B — Google review
Had a lovely time here. Got in just after opening. Nice and quiet. Cheap to enter. Cash only but they have free ATM next to entrance. Lots of monkeys but they were all very chilled & no issue to us. Scenery is stunning.
Lukey — Google review
The views are amazing. It's very hot during the sunny weather so make sure to take a hat/umbrella for the sun and some water(you can't buy it inside). Beware of the monkeys as they are very plucky and might try to take your belongings. I don't think they are aggressive enough to fight or bite you though. There are guards everywhere around which are looking out for them and will help you to retrieve your stuff if they steal it.

Kecak Uluwatu is a captivating cultural experience not to be missed in Bali. Held at the scenic waterfront venue of Uluwatu Temple, this traditional Balinese dance performance takes place against the backdrop of the ocean and cliffs. The mesmerizing Kecak fire dance, depicting scenes from the epic Hindu story of Ramayana, unfolds as the sun sets, creating a sensational atmosphere.
Watching the Kecak Fire Dance at Uluwatu was such a fun experience! The performers interact with the audience, making the show entertaining, and the fire part was just amazing. Overall, the performance was really good. We got there around 5:30 pm for the tour with Get Your Guide, and then waited almost an hour in line between the tour and the dance, since the place gets really crowded — but we still managed to get great seats. The dance ran from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. Just be careful with the monkeys during the tour! The guides warn about it, but one of them grabbed a girl’s phone from our group. Luckily, our experienced guide was able to get it back.

It was a nice experience. We booked tickets through trip.com for around 7 eur pp (u still need to pay entrance to temple ticket, 50k pp). We arrived 5:30 pm for the 6pm show and it was fully packed we hardly managed to find good sests. 6pm show is better and scenic with the sunset. It's dark for 7pm show and lots of monkeys in the area. The show itself was ok, i think it was telling a story. Was a bit boring until the monkey-like fella in white clothes came in and interacted with the attendees. Would give it 7/10.

Great place to see the sunset. Arrive early to get a good spot and see the sunset. The Kecak Dance was absolutely mesmerizing the rhythmic chanting, the energy of the performers, the beautiful costumes and the sunset backdrop created pure magic. It’s not just a show, it’s a glimpse into Balinese tradition and spirituality. The coordination of dozens of voices in perfect harmony was impressive.

First traveling to Bali this is number one the my bucket list and definitely yours too. Breathtaking moment along the show with the combination of the sunset view? Come on! What a show. I bought online tickets but still waiting too long maybe there's a lot of people that time I visit. Prefer take the 6pm show so you can enjoy the sunset too. But bring your own hat, jacket or something to cover your face before the show. Cause in case to keep your seat have to wait and don't move. I wait around one hour
David P — Google review
Great show. We Took the one at 6pm. You should be at least half an Hour there before the Show Started to get good Seat. Make sure a lot of people will be there. And make sure to not leave earlier it is really disrespectful against the artist.
Svenja K — Google review
Extremely disappointing — feels completely unprofessional I came here expecting to see an authentic cultural performance, but what I experienced was far from that. It feels like the show is done every single day with zero preparation or enthusiasm. The whole performance looks completely uncoordinated — as if two people are leading and everyone else is just following along randomly without rhythm or structure. There’s no choreography, no storytelling, no effort to stay in sync. It honestly feels more like a group of people who were picked up from the street and told to join in. You get the impression that anyone could sit down in the circle and just start chanting along. The sound becomes repetitive and chaotic very quickly, and after ten minutes, it’s hard not to lose interest. What’s really disappointing is how commercialized the whole thing has become. The seating area is overcrowded — people sit shoulder to shoulder with barely any space — and if you think about it, it’s actually a great business model. Every tourist pays around 10 euros, and with roughly 800 to 1,000 people packed in per show, that’s easily 8,000 to 10,000 euros per evening. So yes, it’s an incredibly well-marketed business, but with very little artistic or cultural value left. The temple itself and the ocean view at sunset are breathtaking, and that’s probably the only part worth seeing. But once the performance starts, it completely breaks the atmosphere. It’s loud, unorganized, and feels more like a noisy tourist attraction than a traditional Balinese ceremony. One last thing — watch out for the monkeys around the temple area, especially at the top. They’re everywhere, and they’ll grab sunglasses, phones, or anything shiny in a second. Overall, it’s a beautiful location but a disappointing and chaotic show. Definitely not worth the time or money.
Bartlomiej K — Google review
A must-watch cultural performance in Bali! The Kecak dance at Uluwatu Temple was absolutely mesmerizing — the energy, rhythm, and sunset view over the cliff made it unforgettable. The performers were so talented, and the atmosphere felt truly magical.
Desreza B — Google review
Yhe Kecak dance showcases a beautiful segment of the Ramayana. It was quite crowded, and it took us two hours to get there. I did recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the performance, as finding a place to sit can be challenging. The venue was overcrowded, and the sun was directly overhead, making it a bit uncomfortable at first. However, the sunset added a lovely touch to the experience. Personally, I found the dance just okay, and noticed many people leaving midway. There are a few shops outside the venue, and it’s best to be cautious around the monkeys.

The Kecak Dance Amphitheater at Uluwatu Temple is an iconic and enchanting experience in Bali. The performance takes place on a cliff-top amphitheater within the Uluwatu Temple complex, offering breathtaking sunset views over the Indian Ocean. The dance itself features a group of 65+ vocalists acting as instruments to tell a captivating story through traditional Balinese dance.
The dance is not to be missed but be prepared for large crowds and limited seating for the show. Further those wearing glasses need to be careful as the monkeys at the Uluwatu Temple are clever at snatching it from your face. The sunset view is also glorious.
Harindranath R — Google review
The performance was 5*, the beautiful location 5*, the heat in the amphitheatre 0* and the packed like sardines 0* The traffic approaching was quite horrible and took the whole extra hour I'd added into our trip. The steps are very high, the seats have no backs and little leg room and with bad back, by the end I was almost crying in pain. That's a very specific problem so only relayed for readers with similar problems. Get there very early for a front row. But be aware that the front row get included by the performers.... to the delight of everyone! The performance was wonderful. Amazing. And I'm so glad I took the family.
Cathy D — Google review
The show gives a nice insight into Balinese culture with traditional chanting and performance. However, before entering you have to wait in a very long queue — it’s better to arrive at least 30 minutes to 1 hour earlier to get a spot. Once inside, the atmosphere is good, but overall the spectacle felt quite normal.
Yasser R — Google review
book tickets in advance. the place gets crowded. no seat numbers are provided so its first come first serve. be mindful of monkeys. dont wear anything dangling while entering this place. the performance: excellent show of culture. performers pour their heart out. truly remarkable. its allowed to take pictures with the performers after the show and everyone is super nice.

Attending the Kecak Dance at Uluwatu Temple was an amazing experience! To get a good spot, you need to join a small queue before the tickets booth opensto buy tickets for the show, and the temple itself has an entry fee as well. The performance was incredible, and I was surprised by how many people came to watch. The performers really try to engage the audience, speaking in two languages to include everyone. The seating area is right by the sea, giving a breathtaking sunset view while watching the dance. One tip: be careful of the monkeys around the temple — they’re bold and will try to steal things, even bottles of water! Overall, it’s a beautiful, unforgettable cultural experience.
Gabriela — Google review
Be aware that the overcrowding is REAL. ⬇️ The performance was impressive and easy to follow by the given papers, BUT the organization could be so much better. There was no real line and people, as many have no manners, push foward for no reason. We stood in line for over 40 minutes with around 1000 people standing shoulder to shoulder. I wouldn't recommend bringing children smaller than 10 years old to this for that reason. We came around 5 PM (to see the 6 PM show) and still had to wait for the 7 PM show. As for the temple: the view is impressive and its all very pretty. There are around 400 apes in the park, please don't wear glasses or hats. We have seen many apes take everyones glasses. DONT challenge them or try to take your stuff back. Please respect the guidelines. There are staff walking around to help you out. We have massive respect for the dancers and singers, the show itself is amazing. Just be aware what you sign up for - waiting around for ages / overcrowding / apes that take your stuff and people who don't respect the ape policy.
Megan P — Google review
Wonderful place on the cliff at Uluwatu. Fire dance show was spot on and funny and you can take pics with the performers after the shows end. Be there one hour before sunset and sit on top for best views of the sea and performance.
Aamir I — Google review
The Kecak dance in Uluwatu temple is nothing but a unique experience, where the ticket for the dance is 150k IDR and is worth it. Try to witness this experience in the 6 to 7 batch where you can see the dance with the stunning sunset backdrop, to get the best seats you have to be there by around 5 and the harsh sunrays would make you uncomfortable. We reached there by 4.30 and after that, the next hour was terrible sitting under the harsh sun where the rays were directly hitting us but I would say the pain was worth it. The Kecak dance had 4 performances and they kept us engaged throughout the act. It was stunning to watch the Ramayana act being played in Indonesia, Hanuman was very famous amongst the audience. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and if you are in Bali then this is a must-do thing.

Karang Boma Cliff, also known as Uluwatu Cliff, is a popular spot near the Uluwatu Temple in Bali. It offers breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and is particularly famous for its stunning sunsets. The cliff, about 70 meters high, provides a less crowded alternative to the nearby Uluwatu Temple viewpoint. Visitors can enjoy the magnificent sight of the sun dipping into the waves crashing against the cliffs.
One of perfect place to enjoy sunset 180⁰ view with clear sky.. you will find the grass and local shop to have a seat and relax. You'll find little bit off road around 200m but that's fine. Bring your couple and buy some coconut, you gonna have perfect moment to enjoy sunset
Rezza K — Google review
Absolutely stunning viewpoint with breathtaking views — highly recommended, especially during sunset! Entry fee is very reasonable at only 10,000 per person. If you want to fly a drone, there’s an extra charge of 100,000, but honestly, the views are worth it. I suggest arriving about 30 minutes to an hour before sunset so you can enjoy the landscape in good daylight as well as during golden hour. The area has plenty of benches to relax and a small café where you can buy drinks like coconut water, beer, and more. In my opinion, the view here is much better than from Uluwatu Temple — and way cheaper too. If you’re worried about monkeys, no need — locals here actively chase them away, which makes the visit much more comfortable. Just a heads up: after sunset, Grab drivers might try to ask for extra money or cancel your ride. It took us five tries to finally get a driver willing to come. Walking to the main road takes about 20 minutes through forested paths, which can be a bit risky in the dark. So try to leave before it gets completely dark or be prepared to negotiate. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot and well worth a visit!

A great cliff camping spot. It only costs 50K IDR per person to stay overnight in a tent, but you need to bring your own tent. You can make a bonfire and have a cliff party at night. You need to be aware that there will be a large group of monkeys stealing things the next morning. Our companion's slippers were snatched away by monkeys.
HAO D — Google review
Found this spot from TikTok since it kept showing up on my feed. Came here on a weekday and it wasn’t too crowded. The place isn’t that big, but cozy enough for couples to sit and enjoy the sunset. No entrance fee, and you can even bring your own snacks, just don’t forget to clean up after yourself! I tried the iced chocolate from the cart, but it was just so so. Drinks are pretty overpriced for what you get, but that’s kind of how it goes at touristy spots in Bali. Sunset was okay, but I’ve definitely found better places to watch it.

Nice spot with wide views over the cliffs and the ocean. The area is quiet and not too crowded, which makes it pleasant for a short visit and some photos. Nothing extraordinary, but worth a stop if you are already around Uluwatu.

Fantastic!! Great view!! Great performance!! So, there are a few high steps to climb - but it is totally worth it! Arrive a little before 6pm so that you can take in the gorgeous views and enjoy the sunset skies. There is a little cafe outside the open air amphitheatre for drinks and chill.

Abit of an arduous journey towards the tail end but still accessible with both a motorbike or a car. The view was stunning and we even had a meal. Do support the local toko for their beverages (we had a coconut shared cause it was huge) and they have a Kecak dance performance from 6:30pm onwards with a sick view of the cliff. Highly recommended hidden gem!!

Perched on the cliffs of Uluwatu, Ulu Cliffhouse is a luxurious destination that offers more than just stunning ocean views. It features seven uniquely designed suites inspired by legendary surf breaks in Indonesia, blending tropical vibes with mid-century influences from California's surf scene. The restaurant serves a diverse menu including breakfast favorites, local Balinese dishes, Italian-style pizzas and pasta, as well as an array of refreshing drinks.
Very nice place, we went here with 4 friends, took one bed with a sea view. It cost us 1.2M, but you can spend the price of the bed on drinks and food, we left there a little more but I can only recommend it. It was really worth it for the whole day. The drinks were absolutely perfect in taste and quite strong, the food was really delicious. The pool is huge with salt water and a perfect view of the sea. The staff is nice, fast and constantly takes care of you, changes your towels, asks if you are missing anything absolutely great. It's a bit more expensive place, but once in a while it's really worth to go, we enjoyed it very much. Just beware the driveway is broken with many holes.

The food was more than amazing — the most delicious breakfast I had in all of Bali! The view was magical, and we truly enjoyed our time. We stayed in a Garden Suite, which was a bit small, had no windows or natural sunlight, and wasn’t very clean at first. However, once we requested a re-cleaning, the staff responded promptly and did an excellent job. The staff were helpful and friendly, especially Mr. Tony — thank you for the great service!

Great location ! Amazing seasonal special offers ! Nice sunset ! We got a full day bed, a yoga class, a welcome drink, 400.000 IDR of food and beverages plus a 1 hour Balinese style massage for only 900.000 IDR. That’s as good as it gets if you’re willing to pay that price for a full day at Ulu Cliffhouse. Only cons the music being a bit loud.

I can’t recommend this place enough… staff was so friendly and helpful. Drinks were so good and the food made me really happy, I wasn’t expecting to be that good. Definitely recommend the pork ribs. The whole place is fantastic and relaxing, good music and good vibes. Loved it!

We had a blast here but do not buy the VIP couches until you see them. It’s absolutely not worth it. You think you’re buying the gorgeous couches around the upstairs pool area but actually it’s about about five flights down on the dark edges of the dancefloor. The cheapest VIP tables would’ve had us 20 feet from the dance floor in a place with no lights and no action. The most expensive ones were by the dancefloor but not in the action. There wasn’t a huge crowd here, but it was lively and fun and there was bathrooms downstairs so you didn’t have to go all the way back up. You don’t need to get there early, but you need to bring a good attitude. It was good vibes mostly young surfers and backpackers.

We came here for a party last week which we got tickets for. The music was great and there were people with good vibes around. However, we experienced the service quite unpleasantly. No one checked tickets at any point, and it seemed like many people got in without one, so paying extra didn’t feel worth it. Our tickets were supposed to include a free drink, but the barman initially denied this after closely inspecting them. Only after we pointed out the “general admission + free drink” text and pushed back did he make some calls. He told us to go up 4 flights to get a voucher, but when we said we’d rather not, the vouchers suddenly appeared. It was an unnecessary hassle for something that should’ve been straightforward. All in all, good music and vibes but not happy with the service.

We came here on a Sunday morning and were treated to a wonderful view with decent food and drinks- there weren’t too many people when we were there so we could really enjoy the peace and serenity 🥹 Hearing the waves crash and feeling the breeze while I ate my fresh fruits really helped my carsick self truly relax from the bumpy car ride- will be back again to chill for a longer period of time 💛 Friendly and helpful staff, though because of the seating situation it was a bit hard for us to get their attention so we had to go to them to place an order instead 😅

Warung Bejana Uluwatu is a popular spot near Uluwatu Temple, recommended by locals and drivers. The outdoor seating offers a cozy and beautiful ambiance with protection from the heat. The menu features delicious Balinese dishes like bebek nering and nasi campur, as well as refreshing drinks such as watermelon mocktail and wake up juice. While some found the food to be slightly expensive, others appreciated the reasonable prices for the quality.
I had lunch here with my wife, and we chose local foods. Taste-wise, they were a bit on the salty and spicy side, but the quality of the meat was good. I had chicken and seafood; the chicken was lean, and the seafood was really fresh. They prepared our food really fast. The table had a nice view of the street, and even though it was peak season, it was pretty quiet. The restaurant is very close to Uluwatu Temple.

Convenient location, alright ambience, average service, terrible food. We had high hopes from this place as it's very conveniently located closest to Uluwatu temple entrance. It has its private parking which is good. We went there for dinner today and ordered Ayum Betutu and Nasi Goreng Sultan Chicken for mains. Ayum Betutu - The chicken wasn't that good as it didn't feel very fresh. Curry and sambhal felt just average as well. Nasi Goreng Sultan - well, it was a badly prepared dish. The chicken in the satay was fibrous and hard as a rock. Definitely not the best Nasi Goreng I have come across. Drinks - we got some beers and a juice (Uluwatu Sunset), which had strawberry, mango, orange juices with yogurt. It was very refreshing and probably the only good item we came across during our visit. Service - No one was coming to take the order for food as we kept on waiting for around 10-15 mins. Finally, I had to get up and call a waiter. And the restaurant was not crowded as well. Price - it's a bit on the higher side. Not recommended.

We arrived and were greeted with very good customer service. The waitresses were polite and attentive, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, everything else was a disappointment. Our cutlery was dirty when we sat down, and the cups had an unpleasant smell. When the meals arrived, they were cold. The traditional Balinese meal we ordered looked like old chicken that had been sitting out for far too long. The rest of the food was below average, especially considering the price. Overall, it was overpriced and underwhelming, and we left feeling very dissatisfied

Located just near Uluwatu Temple, this warung has lots of food choices from Indonesian classics to BBQ. We ordered the Nasi Goreng Sultan, Mie Goreng Ratu, and BBQ spareribs—all flavorful and filling. Prices are fairly reasonable (some dishes a bit pricey), but the taste is worth it. The only downside is the slow service, so expect to wait a bit. Still, the food quality is great, and the place is popular with many foreign tourists. A good stop after visiting the temple.

Stopped by here for a late lunch on our way to Uluwatu Temple. We decided to sit indoors since it was too hot outside, but maybe not the best choice. 😅 the door doesn't close automatically, so every time someone goes in/ out, the heat comes rushing in. Staff were friendly and accommodating, though it was a bit hard to call their attention when we needed something. A call button on each table would be a great idea for easier service. Also, since orders are directly entered into their system and sent straight to the kitchen, changes aren't allowed once placed (we found out when we tried to change our drinks just a few minutes after ordering). Food was really good and servings were huge! Just make sure to have the staff repeat your order before they leave the table to be sure everything's correct.

Compared to similar options, it was decent at best. I came around 10:30am and was the only one in the restaurant, hoping my food and service would be quick… still took 40 mins. (At least they brought out a bowl of cassava chips for me to have) I was a little concerned seeing a really flea bitten stray dog that was allowed to walk into the kitchen in the back freely that must have been friendly with the owners, doesn’t speak volumes to the food hygiene around here. Staff were ok as well but seemed more inconvenienced by me acting like it was a rush but I was the only one there 🤣

The food is amazing but waiters are super busy as its always full due to the location. Most tourists that visit Uluwatu will be having their food from here. Try their Bali menu items can be spicy but amazing.

Tried bebek goreng and it was delicious. Other dishes that we ordered were good too. Portion size also was adequate. Some flies were troubling us but since the dining area was open I think it cannot be avoided.

Teja Uluwatu, named after the Sanskrit word for energy and warmth, offers a unique dining experience with its carefully designed interior and thoughtfully crafted menu. The restaurant is known for its live-fire cooking and high-quality ingredients, creating a dynamic and inviting atmosphere perfect for enjoying delicious food and drinks with friends. It's an ideal spot for a romantic evening or casual get-together, featuring charming ambiance and cozy bonfire area overlooking the stunning Bali sunset.
Had an amazing experience at Teja. Would love to go back in the day for our next visit. Service was attentive, swift and friendly (the last a given really). Food came out just after drinks. Food was impeccable — each dish having its own unique flavours to be savoured. Having said that we devoured the lot like hungry piglets. Dessert was chocolate torte and to die for. I don’t you could go wrong with anything on the menu here. Even with a power cut knocking out the street, the team remained proactive, responsive and wholly apologetic. We loved the two seat table at next to service. Watching Chef Mike and team deliver dishes with a laugh and smile was a pleasure. One of my highlights of Bali. And the band were awesome!

Our food came so quickly and everything was delicious. The venue speaks for itself, it has dreamy sunset views and an elegant interior design. But the most beautiful thing about our dinner was our waitress Dina. She was was such a kind soul and fun to talk to. She made sure we had the most amazing night possible :)
Zeynep S — Google review
The restaurant has many strong points: the view is absolutely stunning, the atmosphere unique, the drinks are well-made, and most of the food is very enjoyable. The tableware and glassware are also beautiful and really add to the upscale feel. At the same time, there are a few areas where the experience could be elevated. The current dress code leads to a striking contrast—some guests arrive beautifully dressed, while others look like they just came straight from a beach club. Even a simple rule such as prohibiting open shoes for men would already help create a more consistent standard. Also, cans of soda placed on the table look out of place next to the elegant service and glassware; it would be much nicer if all drinks were poured before serving. Regarding the food, the tuna we ordered was unfortunately disappointing—the quality of the fish was not great, and the flavors were completely overpowered by the sauces. Service-wise, the staff is kind but clearly understaffed, which sometimes meant waiting quite a while to get someone’s attention. All in all, Teja remains a beautiful place to dine, with a breathtaking setting, a strong drinks menu, and food that is generally good. With a little more attention to detail and a few focused improvements, the experience could truly become exceptional.

One of our favourite restaurants in Bali! Highly recommend booking early for 5:45pm ish to get a good seat to watch the sunset whilst eating the best dinner. Our service and everything we ordered was 10/10! Highly recommend booking and booking early for an outside seat! Staff are very knowledgeable about gluten free options too

The service at Teja Uluwatu was absolutely outstanding: incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It was honestly the best part of the experience and made the entire visit feel so special. Big thanks to Parwata,he was lovely! The food was amazing, both in presentation and taste. Every dish looked beautiful and tasted even better, you can tell there’s real care and creativity behind it. The restaurant itself is stunning: elegant, stylish, and full of character. The atmosphere is unique, with a refined yet relaxed vibe that makes it perfect for a memorable evening. Thanks for everything!

Beautiful location for dinner - the views were incredible! The food was super good and the drink selection was really good - unique, house creation cocktails. We got the popcorn prawn starter which was 10/10. For mains we got the steak to share with 2 sides and this was a perfect amount to be honest. This was also super tasty. We got the chocolate tart for dessert which was also pretty good. Overall a really nice dinner experience in a beautiful setting.

An unforgettable dining experience with the most beautiful sunset view in Uluwatu. The setting is breathtaking, overlooking the ocean as the sky turns gold and pink. The food is delicious and refined, every dish carefully prepared and full of flavor. Truly a culinary highlight. The service is excellent, attentive without being intrusive, and the staff make you feel genuinely welcome. Everything runs smoothly and with style. Make sure to reserve in advance, as this place fills up quickly around sunset. Teja Uluwatu is the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a special evening, amazing food, perfect service, and a view you will never forget.

Best restaurant - beautiful atmosphere, delicious food (highly recommend the scallops and the chicken 🤤 but everything was great!) and cocktails (get the aperol sour!!) and best of all, the most cheerful lovely service. We want to specially thank Budi for his hospitality 🥰

YUKI Uluwatu

Japanese restaurant
YUKI Uluwatu is a new Japanese-inspired izakaya located near the scenic coastline of Uluwatu. It is the second outlet to open on the island, following the success of YUKI Canggu. The restaurant offers amazing Japanese food and a peaceful atmosphere with lovely low lighting. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring a great dining experience. Visitors can expect delicious dishes such as lamb meatballs and decadent chocolate mousse dessert in this cool and welcoming setting.
We tried the chef’s selection menu, a 9 course sharing experience, and really enjoyed it. Our favorites were the cucumber salad, tuna tartare, and the T-bone steak. Overall, the dishes were very good, though a few felt a bit overpowering for example, the snapper with lime essence. The lime flavor was so strong that it masked the snapper, but when we tried it with less sauce, the fish’s flavor came through beautifully. The service was outstanding. Desi looked after us from start to finish, explaining each dish with detail and adding her wonderful sense of humor. She truly elevated the whole experience. Thank you, Desi 💕

I enjoyed one of the best, if not the best, meals in Bali at Yuki Uluwatu. The ambience, food and service were all exemplary. The Wagyu Sando is a must order, but everything we had was delicious. I will definitely be coming back again next time I’m in Bali and will be bringing more people! Thank you for such a memorable meal!

One of my favourite Japanese restaurants ever! Never disappoints! We’ve dined here a few times now, each time we come to Bali and it’s amazing each time. The staff are very knowledgeable about allergies and the presentation and quality of food is 10/10. Staff are knowledgeable on what is gluten free even though it’s listed on a seperate gluten free menu. The cocktails are also all very delicious. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of going! These are photos from the few times we’ve been!

Usually I went to Yuki during the day, but last night I went for dinner. The vibe was actually even better at night - very chill yet still lively. I sat on the bar table and I liked it there as I could watch the bartenders and the chefs making the food and drinks :) I had Tuna Tartare, Octopus Kushiyaki, and Grilled King Prawn, paired with Mad Matcha (one of their signature cocktail). Each food was so good - delicious, fresh, and packed with so much flavor. Mad Matcha was an interesting one. It looked clear, but tasted creamy, fruity. Like... it simply wow-ed me! 😳 For the dessert, I had a Chocolate Mousse. I enjoyed it a lot because the chocolate flavor was intense (a bit bitter, which I love) and worked so well with the salted caramel ice-cream on it. A really nice one to end the already-good meal 😆 I really had a pleasant experience dining here 😄 Beautiful place, friendly and attentive service, and awesome food & drinks - what's not to love?

I have never written a review before, but this restaurant truly deserves it. We were a group of six, and were seated at the back of the restaurant in the smoking area. You would think it was bad, but it wasn’t… No one smoked at all and the atmosphere was still really good. We all ordered the “chef’s selection”, which I 120% would recommend. You get a wonderful variety of all the different types of food they have to offer, from miso soup to black Angus ribeye steak. All the food was phenomenal, and lastly complimented by one of the best deserts i personally have had in my life. And to finish it all off we visited on a Tuesday evening, where they of course have live music

This is the best japanese food in Uluwatu. Really worth the price. The taco is awesome, i can smell something like citrus aromatheraphy inside. Definitely this is a must try restaurant in Uluwatu. They also have another italian next door open by same owner, Yuki also have another branch in Canggu and same group with Meimei in canggu also. The hospitality of the waiters is good. I really love this place and will definitely come back again.

Our dinner at Yuki in Uluwatu was absolutely perfect. The four dishes we ordered — the Katsu Sando, the Watermelon Taco, the Tuna Tartare, and the Ribeye with asparagus and vinaigrette — were all exceptional, full of flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is sexy and elegant, making it ideal for a date night. We especially want to highlight the impeccable service from Padma and Sandra, who took amazing care of us and made the experience even more special. For our last night in Uluwatu, we couldn’t have chosen a better place — a truly perfect ending to our stay. We’ll definitely be coming back as soon as we return to Indonesia.

Had pleasant and really great experience here at Yuki Uluwatu! We had our reservation for 7 people at 8pm last night. All food items that we ordered are rea-llly good! Vibes, sound, and interior are really nice! Our main server Dharma (not sure if correct spelling) always checking up on us. He does have nice genuine smile and likes to talk! What a bubbly and gullible guy! Also, Dwiki is nice as well! These are some of the foods that we ordered Unagi ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lamb ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Duck and mushroom clay pot ⭐️⭐️⭐️ T bone ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you Yuki for the great food! Nyang Nyang Bar & Restaurant is a unique cafe located above Nyang Nyang Beach. The concept of this place is based on the idea of giving and taking, where customers can set their own prices for food and beverages by leaving donations in a black box. The view from the restaurant is stunning, offering an amazing experience for visitors. With aesthetic wooden interior design, it provides a wonderful ambiance to enjoy a meal while overlooking the beach.
I dined in yesterday. Not many options or restaurants in Nyang-Nyang beach but their food is super good!!!! 😭 The pizza is currently one of my fav around the area! The spring rolls as well. Staff were nice and friendly. And… the price is super affordable for the area. The place also not too loud and not hot tho it’s not indoor. I recommend!

Nice little spot but disorganised. Even with just 2 tables and 4 staff orders delayed and messed up. Music also too loud but maybe it’s to drown out the sound of bartenders fooling around 😂 wagyu burger is great. Get the service more switched on so orders don’t get cancelled or mixed up and you have a cool little spot.

The cold beer was the best thing the food is not good and it took about 40 minutes to get our food and I saw someone else with a meat patty burger and the meat patty was huge. I got mine. It was a little bit petty. and it wasn’t even busy. and meet Patty was scheduled up and dry.

Nyang Nyang Bar & Restaurant is a great place to have a meal when you visit Nyang Nyang Beach. It has aesthetic wooden interior design, and the view of the beach is wonderful. The waitresses that served us were all very friendly. However, the restaurant didn't have a lot of ingredients, and our first 3 choices of order were all rejected as they didn't have it. Even a drink! That was quite a pity. And their Salmon, as well as Fish & Chips tasted,, pretty average Their Pink Lady cocktail could be improved as well - use a more fresh egg white, add more Gin & grenadine syrup (yes, I was a bartender in the past) Regardless, I still recommend visiting this restaurant if you're visiting Nyang Nyang Beach, for the views!

Very nice atmosphere but… they literally have nothing no word of a lie, I think I picked 4 items of the menu and each time she came back and said she didn’t have it or couldn’t make it. Then she showed me the menu and pointed at what I could have it was about 10% of the menu. We all ended up having a Caesar salad. The mango smoothie was really good and Caesar salad average the croutons were slices of toast.

I ordered coconut and calamari. Calamari was oil soaked, the veggies came on top of it were really salty. The coconut water didn't taste fresh.
