The Suzdal Kremlin is a historic site dating back to the 10th century, featuring a 13th-century cathedral with distinctive blue domes. This UNESCO World Heritage Site consists of the fortified town enclosed by a single wall, housing notable structures such as the Bishops Court, Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, bell tower, and Church of St. Nicholas from Glotovo village.
It's a beautiful countryside. Its the must see places of Suzdal. Take a walk to Kremlin we walked on a frozen lake on our way. We took 60 roubles ticket to roam around the area and took pictures.

Well preserved heritage site. Walking through the bridge on iced river was an experience. The meeting hall inside was an experience in itself. Was thrilled to see India in a old map kept there. This place should be even more beautiful in summer. The guide was very helpful and describing everything patiently.
Rajesh K — Google review
As a bonus when we were there we saw a bridal party taking pictures ! We loved sitting outside in the chairs that are in the grassy area and just enjoying. If you climb the small berm, you will see the wooden bridge and be rewarded with a special view of Suzdal.

Nice place with beautiful views and landscapes! Here are some museums and places for rest. It's possible to take sunshowers, free chaise-longues available. Take half an hour just for walk or about two hours in case of visiting museums for this Kremlin.

Museum inside Kremlin is worth visiting and also the church so i suggest buying ticket also to the buildings inside the Kremlin. You can also buy ticket just to the Kremlin area if youbare not interested in museums.

A picturesque monastery by the side of a small river. The architecture is beautiful and the whole place is well maintained. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Outside Moscow if you would like to have a real Russian experience this city is highly recommended. Traffic is heavy on weekends it took almost 5 hours to get there from Moscow centre on Saturday morning. Lots of areas for walks and green space for children to play.

Suzdal must visit. We did it in one day trip from Moscow. It is enough. We took fast train 7:15 morning and back 20:15 to/from Vladimir. From Vladimir taking local bus 159 from Autostation to Suzdal. Every 30 min. This is most picturized Russian town not destroyed by Soviet architecture and old industry. Like Russia 200 or 800 years ago. A lot of history and a lot to see.

The Wax Museum in Russia showcases a collection of wax figures representing statesmen and celebrities from both Russia and around the world. The museum is housed in the Church of the Transfiguration, an 18th-century wooden architectural monument that was relocated to Suzdal from a small village called Kozlyatevo.

The Museum of Wooden Architecture and Peasant Life, known as Muzey Derevyannogo Zodchestva I Krest'yanskogo Byta in Suzdal, Russia, provides an immersive experience into the traditional lives of Russian peasants. The open-air museum features well-preserved wooden structures such as log houses, windmills, and churches dating back to the 18th century.
On our one day tour of what is termed the Golden Ring out of Moscow which offers three villages each of historical interest. This on in Suzsal is the Museum of Wooden Architecture and Peasant Life which is an open-air museum that offers a fascinating glimpse into traditional Russian village life. It has about 20 Historical Buildings which are very well preserved from the 18th and 19th centuries, including houses, churches, windmills, and barns. These structures were relocated from various villages in the Vladimir Oblast to preserve their historical and cultural significance. The Peasant Life Exhibits showcases the daily life of Russian peasants, with exhibits featuring rustic clothing, dishware, furniture, and tools. We got a good idea of how families lived, worked, and worshipped in the past.

interesting museum. You can see the way of life of the kings. The truth I will not say that I have not seen this before. In the village of my grandfather, everything was exactly like that. But many entertainments, performances of remarkable musical collectives, a fashion show of quilted Suzdal sewing, master classes on matryoshka painting, embroidery of napkins, pottery. Sale of handicrafts: gzhel, products from birch bark, quilts, clothing from flax and much more. On this day the film was filmed. Participated in one of the scenes. The weather was good, on the street 28-30 degrees. I recommend to stop here

Svyato-Vasil'yevskiy Muzhskoy Monastyr' is a captivating historical site that beautifully encapsulates the essence of ancient architecture and spirituality. Nestled in the city of Yuriev Polsky, which boasts a history just slightly younger than Moscow itself, this active monastery presents an intriguing blend of well-preserved structures alongside those in dire need of restoration. Visitors can admire its unique architectural features, including a charming old fence that adds to its character.
A more recent monastery from 1923, among the other monasteries in Suzdal this is probably the smaller.

(Translated by Google) A small active monastery. It looks very nice from the outside. It's 50/50 inside. Some of the buildings are in good condition, while others are in urgent need of restoration. But the architecture itself is very interesting: if you put it in order, you won’t be able to take your eyes off it. I was struck by a real fence, the kind that was installed in the old days and the kind that you can’t see anywhere now. A neat vegetable garden, apparently as part of the monastery’s self-sufficiency. The masonry of the wall is the same age as the monastery - the 18th century.

(Translated by Google) An ancient religious and ritual complex of buildings. An echo of the USSR - on the territory of the monastery (in the former fraternal building and bishop's house) there are apartment buildings, townspeople live (the game, of course, is long overdue for resettlement, one wristwatch (instead of Photoshop) can be sold and people can be moved into penthouses!), there is a children's playroom site - well, such normal Soviet urban schizophrenia). The godly lady from the church shop opened the temple for us, allowed us to look at everything from the inside (she didn’t allow us to take photographs, that’s why in words: modestly, without pathos, the frescoes have not been preserved), told us what she knew. The view of the river and the other bank is excellent; you can see an unrealistically beautiful church with a bell tower there.

Fair quality food for reasonable prices: bean soup and solyanka were quite thick and tasteful, although pelmeni did not live up to the expectations. If your health permits, do not miss local salo (pig’s fat), a Ukrainian tapas-like dish

The Venerable Bell Tower, also known as the Nativity Cathedral, has a rich history dating back to the late 17th century. It underwent reconstruction after being struck by lightning in 1795 and was later rebuilt with white stones during Emperor Nicholas's reign in the mid-19th century. Despite being repurposed during various periods, it remains a popular attraction offering stunning panoramic views of Suzdal.
Best elevated view of lovely Suzdal. It's a lot of steps to the top, and the stairs and building are in need of repair (ongoing), so watch your footing. The open top is quite windy on a winter day.

Restaurant
The Russian Compound is a highly comfortable establishment offering delectable cuisine. They boast an extensive menu, featuring traditional Russian dishes that surpass the offerings of other local restaurants. Despite being regarded slightly less favorably by patrons compared to city center eateries at the time this review was written, it is still held in high regard. The restaurant's ambiance is warm and inviting, creating a cozy and relaxing environment for guests to enjoy their meals.
An extremely cozy place with good food. The menu is definitely Russian but a bit more extensive than most restaurants in town – they run the grill even in the off-season. The quality of the food was excellent. At the time of this review, the city center restaurants had better ratings, but we liked this one a lot better.

(Translated by Google) Russian farmstead in Suzdal. Everything seems to be fine, but questions remain. On the way from Nizhny Novgorod to Moscow, we wanted to stop in Suzdal, enjoy the surroundings and have a tasty snack. We chose the top places, regardless of the price, and the choice fell on Russian farmstead. The establishment is located in a corner of the private sector, in a fairly quiet and cozy place, with its own parking lot, outdoor gazebos and halls in the main building. The style is cool: everything is decorated in the old Russian style, an accordionist plays. In general, this is a themed Russian restaurant. We decided to sit inside, as it was a little chilly. The service was excellent at first, no questions: they quickly came up, quickly took the order, and also quickly began to bring everything - we did not have time to get bored. The prices are normal for a tourist establishment in a tourist location, maybe a little above average. The menu is medium-sized, naturally, with an emphasis on Russian dishes: they bake their own bread, make their own desserts, cook everything themselves - for this, I definitely respect. There are no questions about the presentation: everything looks beautiful, just like in the pictures. The portion sizes are normal - small, but not tiny. We ordered a lot of different things: appetizers, salads, desserts, hot dishes and meat - in general, a full range to enjoy delicious dishes. But not everything is so smooth. Let's move on to the minuses. Part of the evening was devoted to a dialogue with the waiters and staff about ginger tea, which was only called ginger. In fact, there may have been ginger there, but it did not give any flavor. No matter how hard they tried to add ginger, nothing worked - the tea was a complete failure. And understand: it's not that I'm picky. The tea cost 400 rubles for a teapot, but when a guest has already expressed dissatisfaction with the tea several times and ordered 10 dishes, it would be correct for the establishment to simply replace the tea with any other they liked or remove it altogether. But no - we all debated, discussed, tried to add ginger. In general, it seemed to me that it was not nice for the establishment to behave like that. And, of course, my restaurant critic immediately got involved. I began to meticulously examine the dishes and ask the guys from our company what they thought. So: the salad was a little wilted, and the potato pancake seemed strange and greasy - here, it is probably more a matter of taste. In general, I can say that the positive atmosphere and the majority of quite tasty dishes with beautiful presentation made me very happy. But it was spoiled by such seemingly minor issues. And I want to say right away: if somewhere in Moscow or in some other big tourist city I comment on some dishes for so long, then I don’t even have time to suggest something about solving the problem - the establishment immediately reacts to the advance: removes from the bill, gives a dessert or simply exchanges for any other drink. But here the guys were very stubborn, which is what I’m trying to convey to you here. If it weren’t for these small nuances, I would have given a solid five. And so - four. The guys have something to work on; I think they will do it. Or, as always, they will fall into the category of a super-passable location - you can forget about quality.

(Translated by Google) Wonderful restaurant! We visited today before leaving home and were very pleased! Before this we visited several restaurants in Suzdal, so there is something to compare with. The dishes are very tasty, the portions are large (having had an unpleasant experience in the past, we ordered several dishes, they turned out to be huge)! The prices are very reasonable! They cook quickly, which is also important! Plus there is free parking nearby) Special thanks to the waiter Dmitry - a very polite young man, knows the menu well, helped with the choice of dishes) (Original) Прекрасный ресторан!

(Translated by Google) A fantastically delicious restaurant, in my opinion the best in Suzdal, we asked to see the chef :), to see someone who can cook like that. The menu is huge, based on old recipes. The names alone are worth something - skoblyanka, tsar dranik with pike caviar, buns with malts, etc. Thank you for being so delicious here and for many years!

(Translated by Google) Nice restaurant. Thanks to administrators Anastasia and Alena for organizing a romantic breakfast. Everything was great. Delicious and original menu. We were pleased with the wishes on the packaging when we opened some of the dishes at home. I was very surprised by the tomato and cucumber jam. There was even a joke - Everything tastes better with sugar - even cucumbers. :)

Nestled in the heart of the city, Gostinyy Dvor is a charming restaurant that captivates visitors with its vibrant design and authentic ambiance. The interior boasts vintage furniture and exquisite paintings, creating a warm atmosphere perfect for enjoying traditional Russian cuisine with a modern twist. Guests appreciate the diverse menu available in both Russian and English, making it accessible to all. The attentive staff adds to the experience, ensuring every need is met while diners savor delicious dishes crafted by talented chef Nikita.
After I read a Lot of Negative recomandations, for me it was interesting what is the real Situation. First, Service was perect, good excellent, prizes for me in a normal range. Interieur, I very like it. So, i give a very positive Feedback. Thank you and WE will come back.

FAKE RATING. I don't recommend it. Especially if you are a foreigner, I definitely don't recommend it. Don't be fooled by the stylish design of the restaurant. Grumpy waiters, cold and terrible soups, badly cooked meat dishes, stale bread taken out of the freezer. We knew the prices were expensive. I wish we could have gotten something in return. I don't think the score on Google Maps is real. They probably asked their friends to give them 5 stars.

This restaurant is one of the most famous in the area and has got English menu. Locals recommended me this place and for my surprise it was there in the top's list of lonely planet and trip advisor as well. The staff were very curtorioeus and the food was awesome. Taste- 5/5 Quality - 5/5 Service -5/5 Hygiene -5/5 Timeliness - 4/5

We went here because from outsid it looked quite charming and we don't regret going in. Be careful to don't miss it. Prices were correct and dishess were variated and very tastefull, a really good job of the chef (Nikita). They have the menu in russian (of course) and in english which was something that we appreciated. Staff were very polite and attentive. We had the luck of meeting the owners of the restaurant, and they showed a face of russian people that we didn't see before. We had a quite long talk with Vadim (hope I spelled it correctly) who explained us some background of Suzdal and it's history, it was like receiving a lesson while eating. Next time wo go on holidays to suzdal again, we surely will go back here. We wish the best for them and we are looking forward to go back there again.

One of the best places to eat in the center. The vivid and elaborate design with some authentic paintings, vintage furniture. There are a spacious hall and very nice outdoor tables with a good view on the Main Street - Kremlevskaya, leading to the Kremlin. Traditional Russian cuisine with some original touch. No doubt the place is worth visiting. Don’t forget to visit nearby shop - Dimov ceramics - to buy original souvenirs (not fake things there).

Bal'zaminov Dvorik offers a delightful dining experience with its affordable prices and delicious borsch with meat. While the menu selection may not be extensive, the food quality is commendable. It's a great place to enjoy tasty and reasonably priced meals.

(Translated by Google) The quality of the food is below average. The soups were especially bad. For the standard price for decent Moscow canteens, they serve food that frankly does not correspond to the price tag. The service was also lacking. No one asked if we liked the dishes after we ate them. In general, an average tourist place - the city is full of better options.

Sokol Hotel is a charming 4-star hotel located in the heart of Suzdal, just a short walk from Alexander's Monastery. The hotel offers cozy rooms with classic decor and provides convenient amenities such as free self-parking, karaoke, and a restaurant. Guests can enjoy activities like horse riding, skiing, and fishing services nearby. The central location allows easy access to the town square, Suzdal Kremlin, restaurants serving Russian cuisine, small supermarkets, and bus stops.
Great buffet breakfast, accommodating staff, and clean comfy rooms. It is centrally located and easy to explore the town while being close to your hotel so you can drop in and warm up.

The location of the hotel is great, it’s in the heart of Suzdal! However, the lobby needs an expansion & renovation. It’s great that there is free parking right behind the hotel, it’s very easy to come by car. Room is quite spacious, in my opinion, i felt the bed wasn’t comfortable. Bathroom is clean… although it requires changing shower gel & shampoo to better quality ones. there’s an old wooden scent to the room, some might like it some might not, depends on your perspective. I give it a solid 7.65/10

(Translated by Google) + The location is great. The room is small, clean. There are disposable toiletries, robes. - I didn't like that the bed was not a double bed, but two single beds pushed together! We asked to change the room, they said that all the rooms are like this(( it's very inconvenient, you keep rolling into this gap between the beds. There are 2 small single blankets, if someone likes to sleep under one blanket like me - disappointment(( (Original) + Расположение отличное.
