SankoPark Mall is one of my favorite spots in Gaziantep. What makes it unique is its location—right in the middle of a beautiful garden area. It’s perfect for spending some relaxing time outdoors before or after shopping. The atmosphere is calm and refreshing, which adds a lot to the experience. Inside, the mall has a great selection of stores, dining options, and cafés. One of the highlights for me is the gym—it’s modern, well-equipped, and a nice bonus to have in a shopping center. Whether you're looking to shop, eat, or just take a walk in the garden, SankoPark has something for everyone.

A great museum for young and old. An interesting walk round a charming museum that had some toys that I could remember from my early childhood in the 50s to even earlier toys that had been so expertly crafted out of the materials available at the time. A bonus for us was free age related entry that we thought was only offered to Turkish citizens. Entry is less than 40TL. We visited during Eid so it was busy but not uncomfortably so. Well worth a visit. There are stairs to climb to reach some of the exhibition rooms. There's also a cafe and more importantly toilets.

One of my favourite places of Gaziantep ! I totally love the idea of the cave! The other is equally stunning with all those old dolls . Nutcracker is simply great!

I first got introduced to Koçak Baklava in 2021 when a family met with me in Istanbul and brought some along — I instantly fell in love with it. Since then, I’ve had it shipped to me in Istanbul and brought some home. This year, I finally visited GaziAntep to experience it firsthand. The difference was incredible — there's nothing like enjoying it fresh and warm right from the source. The flavor and texture are simply amazing. I loved it so much that I ordered more to be delivered to my hotel in Istanbul before heading back home. While it’s a bit on the pricier side, I don’t mind paying extra for such high-quality, delicious baklava. If you’re ever in GaziAntep, you absolutely should check out Koçak Baklava — it’s a sweet experience you won’t forget!

Baklavas, service and atmosphere were great. We ordered special square baklava and special pistachio baklava (özel şöbiyet baklava). They were so tender, light, full of flavor and melting in my mouth. Wait stuff was great. They specially designed inside the restaurant. We were not only eating the great food, at the same time, our eyes were appreciating the great design inside. They got their own parking lot and vale. I shouldn’t forget the tea. Usually I don’t like the Turkish tea due to its bitterness. They got really light Turkish tea that goes down smoothly. I don’t think so anyone can beat their concept, food and service. I highly recommend this place. It will be the restaurant I would definitely visit if I come back.

Best morning soup in town and incredible rooftop dining with top rate Gaziantep lamb and mixed grill. The lamb was perfect in everything way and the kindness of the staff and owners on our three visits we felt like we were honored guests each time. Lachmancun outstanding too! We can't wait for our next trip to Gaziantep...we will be back!! Pictures later.

There was a bit of a language barrier but Google translate always to the rescue, since we do not speak Turkish. We ordered food and drinks via the online menu provided by waiter via a captcha scan. The waiter then got the order wrong, but this was unknown to us as we ate the food that was served thinking this is wat was ordered as there was no pictures on the menu. They also placed 2x bottles of water on the table when they served our salads that came along with the meal. We did not open the water bottles and left them on the table after we finished our meal. When we went to the till to pay, we received a total for the meal written on a piece of paper. The total was basically DOUBLE what we calculated according to the menu. When we queried the total and requested an actual bill for the meal, the price for the meal halved and then we noted they charged us for the 2x bottles of water that we did not open and left on the table. I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

We spent three evenings (6 meals) in Gaziantep, dining in most famous restaurants. The best one by far was Kadir Usta. Their meat was super tender. We tried kusleme, Ali nazik, patlıcanlı kebap, and maras tarağı??(fatty lamb). I should also mention that their lahmacun could be listed as top three of my whole life (a lahmacun enthusiast speaking). Their terrace added more pleasence to our dining experience. The only thing that could be better was their katmer.

My friends and İ visited this restaurant and we had the tastiest Adana Kebab and Lahmacun. The patlıcanlı kebab was equally as good. Meat were seasoned and spiced well. Reasonable price, sharing portion and very friendly and attentive servers. Would definitely recommend!

As usual in Gaziantep, the food was very good and one dish in specific was extremely tasty with new taste signature, think they called it Ali Nazek Kebab. The freshly baked local bread was delicious. The service was excellent with English speaking staff. The price is high but you are going to pay for the experience and the quality of food and for the name since it is one of the most well known places in all of Gaziantep. One point is that if you are like me a big dude the portions are small.

Super efficient and friendly staff, very professional and helpful. The food was divine, especially the Ali Nazik Kebab, which is a chargrilled eggplants pureed with yoghurt and garlic to make a smoky-creamy-garlicky souce for the kebabs. Their baklava was so good, not too sweet. Price was reasonable given the quality. Would highly recommend.

We were concerned due to some recent reviews but we did not encounter any such thing. Though we don't know turkish, we had nonproblem ordering, we were seated immediately, staff helped us and recommended excellent kebabs for us, the food lived up to its reputation, salad was amazing with pomegranate dressing, bread was fresh from the oven and the kebabs!!! I cant even begin to describe the taste. Pictures don't do justice as we were too keen to eat and didn't want to wate time taking pics:) Staff was very kind. Thank you and hope to come to gaziantep again to eat here. By the way they do help you park outside the restaurant. Just ask them at the door.

I had heard about İmam Çağdaş for years and always wanted to go. It turned out to be a great experience for me. Some locals told me it’s too expensive and didn’t recommend it, but I’m glad I went anyway. In general, places that are harder for locals to afford can offer a nice tasting experience because they focus more on visitors. This was the cleanest and most attentive restaurant I tried in Antep, which isn’t easy to find. Thanks to our server, Mr. Eyüp,he was very attentive. The Ali Nazik kebab made with grilled meat was delicious. The salad and the ezme were also very good. I love lahmacun, and this was the best I’ve had so far. The desserts were good, but there are a few spots in Antep that do them even better, so I wouldn’t especially recommend having dessert here.

Location: Near the silk road, 10-15 min by car from courthouse. Ticket: 100 ₺ / person for citizen, mandatory to have museum card; 12€/ person for foreigner which is extremely high! Pretty big and amazed with historical information with such archaeological finds.

It is undoubtedly one of the most interesting places and a must-visit in Antep. The mosaics are well-preserved and highly diverse. I must admit that Zeugma is truly a masterpiece, but there are also many other beautiful things to see. If you are interested in mythology, you will appreciate the mosaics even more. We ordered 7 pieces of baklava, one of every kind and all was super healthy and delicious. Price was 645 lira which some may consider much but if you taste those baklavas u will fond it worthy of the price.

The baklava was good but the coffee was almost not drinkable. The location is good. The service was friendly enough but could have been better. The prices seemed way too high. Although everything is expensive in Turkey these days, it still seemed expensive relative to other places. Minus one star for the prices, minus one star for the coffee which could have been better.

If your in the city this attraction is well worth a visit. If you are really interested in the history, there is alot of text you can read while walking through the museum part of this site on your way up to the tip of the castle. Once you get on the top most of the area you can't really look out, but there's a viewing area were you can look and take photos. 30-60 min is enough at this attraction in my opinion. If I were to come back with friends I would probably take them to see it, but seeing it once is enough. Overall a nice attraction that's worth a visit.

Not a handicap friendly place, neither are the employees, very rude. And you can either enter by wireless payment or you cant. The entrance fee is 20 tl. Wish theyd higher the fee and invest more in their employees.

One of the first places I went to for traditional sweets in Turkey. It was so delicious that I finished a complete one by my self after already heavy meal 😅. The quality and the taste are amazing. The staff spoke English and Arabic with the native language which is rare for Gaziantep. The staff were very friendly and polite , the place is small but nice with small sitting on the front of the place. The price is very reasonable for the quality and the service. There is a charming old house and across the street from it is an outdoor seating terrace. We totally missed the beautiful building and sat outside in cold. Make sure you find the right coffee house and not just a terrace. Coffee was not that great. Taking one start down because of very dirty restrooms.

Very authentic place to be. But most importantly is their unique taste of pistacia (menengiç from turpentine tree) since 1685. I tasted it and see that they preserved the flavor and texture since then. You can buy their original coffee. They made it fresh and grind it at the store. Coffee is not heavy. Just spot on. Not bitter and great mix of pistacia and milk. Hands on best of its kind.

This is a 400 years old coffee shop. It is the oldest still active coffee shop. It is rebuilt, renovated several times because of fires or other reasons. They are popular with pistachio coffee which is called Menengic coffee. Prices are good for example tea is 20 TL and coffee is 50 TL which is less than 2 USD. Very happy with the quality of food and portions and the service as well. I wanted to order more and the waiter told me I don't have to order another piece because it would be too much which I was happy about. Beyran, lahmacun and then one more soup were all good. The menu is on the table and prices are good. You can eat well for less than 200 trl (February 2024), but there's also more expensive items.

We decided to follow a Turkish YouTuber who went to the best places to eat in Gaziantep. We started by Metanet and we did not regret it. The soup we had is the best one I ate in Turkey, the lahmacun was so tasty and the ketmer (pistachio pastry) was excellent. I highly recommend this place if you go visit Gaziantep and his famous mosaic museum.

We visited this restaurant with our friends. The food was delicious and the service was great. Especially the server, Nimet, was very kind and tried her best to make our visit pleasant. The only downside was the music played very loud and mostly remixes. At an authentic place like this, you expect more local and traditional music to be chosen rather than a disco-like.

All in all Amazing! The Food was great, the atmosphere is phenomenal and there's a DJ. The service was outstanding, it took two seconds to get a new fork after i dropped mine by mistake. Zehra hanım was so kind to offer us a Tour of the Han as we were very interested in the historic Door at the entrance. She took a lot of time and explained the Han’s history very precisely. I was there with my boyfriend for dinner. Indeed, it is a very nice and historical restaurant but unfortunately the service is way too bad for this price. We payed 2100 tl for the food, but I don’t think it was worthy due to the fact that my food came aprox. 30 minutes before my boyfriend’s food came and we had to wait a lot until his food came also, and of course that my place got cold while waiting. It is true that is was tasty but it is not normal to wait more than 40 minutes for a plate. Besides that, we had a table reserved but when we arrived the chair was broke, there were no napkins on the table and when we asked for some, unfortunately we got then only after 10 minutes and they were dirty (see the photo). Overall, the food was okay, but for such a place, I think that they have to do something about the service, which is very late, and also they need to take care how to bring the needs (like napkins) on the table. :)

I did not stay there, but came upon the restaurant wandering around the Gaziantepp Castle. It looked lovely, so we planned a special night in our 4 night stay in Gaziantepp to experience Gaziantepp cuisine in its finest. We could not have been more disappointed! The service was exactly as a previous review said. We were sat down and then noone came close to us for 12 mins. The only reason I even knew the time was I had responded to a messgae as we were seated. I have never felt so invisible in a restaurant before. Once we did get served, the food came out quite quickly, but it was average, especially for the prices being charged. We had eaten better food at local street kebap places. The glass of red I ordered came so cold we thought it had been frozen and the white wine was room temperature. I tried to warm the red, but it remained undrinkable. They did bring a slight warmer glass for me eventually. My husband suffered through his room temp white. I was so disappointed, as this was meant to be a example of the famed Gaziantepp cuisine. We both felt very unwelcome and invisible. It was the first place in a 6 week holiday in Egypt and Turkiye we didn't leave a tip.

As always, delicious food in a very tasteful environment. My wife and I have been here many times by now and never disappointed. (Only the music is sometimes a bit too hectic for a restaurant.) Also the service is always very polite & kind: we’d like to thank İslam Bey for the evening.

Visited this mall early Dec 2022 to provide relief efforts to the Syrian refugees here in Türkiye by providing winter clothings, arcade enjoyments & food. Perhaps this is my all time favorite mall in Gaziantep, although Sanko Park is a little bit bigger than this one, but Prime Mall is more stylish and built up like the new Malls around the world that I've seen (the only funny thing that I will say negatively about this place: is that i wish there was Kahve Dünyası in it )

Very poor maintenance. Monkeys, birds and reptiles are tucked in small enclosed spaces. Monkey house and reptile house are not ventilated and smells horrible. Aquarium was so small but it had some piranhas which was the only interesting thing. The only funny thing i’ve encountered was the fighting bear figures placed under a dinosaur fossil replica lmao. The same installment had some dead animals in formaldehyde solution which were probably never been replaced with new solution. It was a nauseating experience overall. I decided to leave after seeing the neglected bird cage that no one seem to care about, didn’t even went to see other parts. Would not recommend.

This place has alot of potential. Much of the indoor areas if not all are closed to the public. The animals are not properly cared for, especially the avian species. Much of the exotic bird species are exhibiting signs of extreme depression and solitude (feather plucking, picking at the roof, frustrated behavior). It is not healthy to keep so many large social birds in such an enclosed space with a lack of attention. This is extremely unfair to the birds. It appears there is a lack of a proper caretaker for these birds and they desperately need the right love. I hope the park brings this to their attention promptly.

When we arrived we ordered a big plate of künefe, they brought us the künefe without even bringing us the (customary) cream and oranges with bananas plate which is supposed to be part of the order of what they call: (ikram) I ate one slice of künefe but I got angry and told them to bring me a plate of cream (kaymak) after I told them, they finally brought us 2 plates, because we were 5 people. After a few recommendations we arrived at Cumba Kunefe and it is as delicious as it sounds. Perfect amount of ingredients without sugar or being extremely sweet. This kunefe shop is one of the best in Turkey, very authentic with amazing taste that you will remember forever. The kunefe plate comes with ice cream or without, and it has ton of Gazi Antep famous pistachio on top of it and along side they serve you with roasted pistachio and tea, the combination of all take you to heaven. I strongly recommend it to my fellow visitors from abroad to Gaziantep who have arrived here not just for tasting delicious kebaps and culinary culture. You can find explanations in English and the staff is,also very helpful. According to its foundation deed of trust, it was built in 1577 by Lala Mustafa Paşa, and is one of the finest examples of Ottoman hamam architecture and culture. After long years in operation as the "Paşa Hamam, Pasha Hammam," it was restored into a museum, bringing to life the hamam culture of Gaziantep.

It's an small museum near the Gaziantep castle. It's worth visiting to know a bit history of the Turkish hamam. As a foreigner we have to pay for a ticket. It's not free. Tickets should be paid by VISA card at the entrance. No cash accepted. No toilet a available inside. For any questions the receptionists are helpful.

An interesting little museum in a very beautiful old hamman. The information boards are good and always with English translations. You can learn quite a lot about this important part of Turkeys culture and heritage. Well worth a visit and entry very reasonable.

Beautiful museum right beside the Gaziantep castle. You should visit and see the Hamam(Ottoman Bath) culture here before you experience going to Hamam yourself so you would not miss the tiny details during your Hamam :) Entrance fee was 5₺ only and sadly the soap making wasnt available bc of pandemic. Still you should visit if you pass by the castle :)

Stumbled over this hotel on my way back from the castle decided to go in since I was already there. It's a small place, but still has alot of information. If you don't go here, you don't miss out on much, but it's worth a quick look if your nearby. For me 10-15 minutes was enough.

Take the time to locate this museum the day you visit the castle - if you are interested in food.

Alabey is one of the most important mosques in Gaziantep because it is situated in the city center. It is always full of prayers. The area around it called (çarşı) in Turkish language. It is an old mosque with thick walls. Moreover it's got toilets for free and a(şedirvan) to have ablution there. Whatever you want is available in near neighborhood. I personally like it.

Fantastic museum to learn more about the amazing history of this region. The collection includes Palaeolithic artifacts; items from a Bronze Age necropolis; Hittite, Persian, Roman, Hellenistic, and Commagene artworks and the skeleton of a mammoth.

Totally loved it! So many things to see ,centuries to relive! Such a great great place to learn about historical eras and observe the ingenious ways they've adopted! The musuem itself is well organized. I highly recommend this museum.

A unique collection and an amazing exhibition. In comparison to other museums, Gaziantep Archaeology Museum is less visited, however I can say that it is one of the best museums in Antep. It is possible to see various artifacts from different eras and empires such as Neolithic, Calcolotich, Hittite, Roman, Hellenistic, Ottoman and such. Be ready to spare at least 2 hours if you want to visit this museum properly. At the beginning of the exhibition, there is also an elaborate section of the region's natural history, which gives you a detailed overall image. Be aware that the museum closes at 5 pm and the ticket office closes at 4.30 pm.

They were very generous actually, the plates were big more than enough, not mentioning the free appetisers which were really delicious, The soup also is good and you can refill it as much as you want and of course it is considered an appetizer so it is Free... First of all theres no menu so we dont even know what the options are unless the waiter tells you and unfortunately i dont have an ultra amazing memory. You just order without even knowing any prices. The food that came was soo average that it made me question where I was. They have no meze to choose from only the onion and chilli ezme in the middle. We got three different dishes but all three were below average overall. The playes are all broken and only get changed if you ask for it which is ridiculous. We paid 2300 lira for three people but for this price i thought we deserved something better. Unfortunately i do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The total reviews did amaze me as i saw nothing near that quality. Maybe they used to be good but due to high turnover quality has decreased.

When we went there it was full of people, mostly local. You can tell it's a popular place. The prices were reasonable, the food was okay. Not so amazing, in my opinion. The waiters were insistent that we try everything, and they brought us lots of different food in small portions. However, it was too much, I couldn't enjoy them all together. And of course a lot of food went to waste even though we tried to eat as much as possible. Hence, I had a nasty stomach ache afterwards. The atmosphere was somewhat shabby and crowded. It was a surprise to see a young couple came to eat right after or before their wedding ceremony with their wedding outfits!

The place is very dated and although it looks authentic I think they are just trying to save money by not investing in the atmosphere. The employees are highly negative and are like they are forcefully working. When it comes to food we paid 680tl for 4 people which is the highest we paid so far in Gaziantep but at the same time the lowest quality food. Chicken was raw the Adana kebabs were more fat than meat. I always visit this place every time I come to Gaziantep but I will never come back.
