Shopping mall
Shopping
SankoPark Mall is a contemporary shopping mall that boasts a diverse range of branded stores and a food court offering both popular fast-food options and casual sit-down restaurants. This impressive mall also houses a gym on its top floor, complete with a swimming pool and spa facilities. It is known for its international appeal, hosting various foreign stores and creating an environment where rival football clubs Fenerbahce, Besiktas, and Galatasaray can coexist side by side.
Going there is fantastic experience, when I visited Gazi Antep, I almost go to this mall everyday. There is a huge variety of branded shops where you can find unbelievable deals and offers. But what makes me happy the most is the food court upstairs, restaurants there are exceptional, cleaniness and quality is their main objective. I absolutely tried them all even McDonald's and all are excellent.

Nice place to spend time for shopping. A lot of brands, the food is good. There is a place for children. You can do some fun things like bowling and table tennis. Also there is a gym
Mustafa L — Google review
SankoPark Mall is one of my favorite spots in Gaziantep. What makes it unique is its location—right in the middle of a beautiful garden area. It’s perfect for spending some relaxing time outdoors before or after shopping. The atmosphere is calm and refreshing, which adds a lot to the experience. Inside, the mall has a great selection of stores, dining options, and cafés. One of the highlights for me is the gym—it’s modern, well-equipped, and a nice bonus to have in a shopping center. Whether you're looking to shop, eat, or just take a walk in the garden, SankoPark has something for everyone.
Faris R — Google review
Sanko Park is an enclosed shopping mall located in Gaziantep, Turkey. The largest enclosed mall in the region, construction of the US$160 million project began in 2007, and the centre opened in the spring of 2009. Because of its location in southeastern Turkey, it draws a significant number of shoppers from nearby Syria. The mall is approximately a two-hour drive from Aleppo, the largest city in northern Syria. With the elimination of visa requirements for travel between Turkey and Syria in September 2009, the center saw the number of Syrian shoppers rise from approximately 3,000 per month to 50,000 by early 2010.
Ramil K — Google review
Very good place for shopping, many brands, affordable price. Last floor for kids and restaurants

The Botanical Garden is a themed parkland with oak woods and a kids' discovery garden. It's a beautiful place for a leisurely walk, especially in the spring when colorful flowers like tulips are in full bloom. The entrance fee is very affordable, and the well-maintained gardens offer a natural atmosphere in the city center. Visitors can enjoy various types of plants and take lovely photos, making it popular for wedding and engagement photo shoots.

The Gaziantep Museum of Toys and Games is a charming attraction housed in a historic schoolhouse, featuring a courtyard and cave that display an array of toys and games dating back to the 1700s. With nearly 600 toys on exhibit, the museum offers visitors, both young and old, a journey through time. It aims to preserve children's culture while bridging the gap between past and present generations.
A trip to memory lane. Very nice place to spend time and to remember our childhood with simple toys. There's also cave under the building. Worth to visit
Asisten C — Google review
A great museum for young and old. An interesting walk round a charming museum that had some toys that I could remember from my early childhood in the 50s to even earlier toys that had been so expertly crafted out of the materials available at the time. A bonus for us was free age related entry that we thought was only offered to Turkish citizens. Entry is less than 40TL. We visited during Eid so it was busy but not uncomfortably so. Well worth a visit. There are stairs to climb to reach some of the exhibition rooms. There's also a cafe and more importantly toilets.

War museum
The 25 December Gaziantep Defense Heroism Panorama and Museum is a comprehensive tribute to the citizens of Antep who defended the city during Ataturk's War of Independence. The museum features dioramas, displays, and modern art installations that vividly depict the history of Gaziantep's occupation and liberation. Visitors can easily spend several hours exploring the museum, which offers English translations for most descriptions. The entrance fee is reasonable, and there is a small gift shop on-site.
Lots of interesting things to see here. Many artifacts and relics. I likes seeing the Ottoman documents written in Arabic script. Some good paintings, and a few other unrelated exhibits as well. I learned a lot of about Gaziantep and Turkish history here. Glad I took the time to read all the signs. There are good English translations.
Ryan F — Google review
This is truly a remarkable and unique place. It’s more than just a museum — it’s an experience. No effort has been spared in telling the story of Antep’s defense and the bravery of its people. For every Turkish citizen, this is a must-visit. As someone from Antep, I was deeply moved by what I experienced here. Hats off to everyone who brought this place to life

The museum is exceptional place. Every corner in it has its special characteristics, and when you hear the voices it takes you to that era when Gaziantep overcome the invaders and achieved the great victory. In fact, It's great experience.

Gaziantep Panorama Museum is a powerful and very well-set-up experience. It is far from boring, offering a wealth of information and documentation that makes the history come alive. As a Turkish visitor, the emotional impact is profound, and you may find yourself unable to hold back tears. The museum does an incredible job of honoring history and telling its story in a moving and compelling way. It’s a truly touching and informative tribute.
Caglayan C — Google review
A museum that you definitely need to visit to learn the history of Gaziantep. It has a better design than most museums in Turkiye and Europe. Paintings, artifacts, panoramas, etc., all worth seeing.
Bora Ö — Google review
I entered this museum just because it was on my way, and it was a great discovery! It was interesting to learn more about the city's history and its dramatic recent past. The museum is very well organised, it has descriptions in English, and it features documents, showcases, and videos; it is impossible to get bored. Unfortunately, I had to go out after 1h30 as it was closing time, but I could have stayed longer.

Koçak Baklava is a traditional Turkish dessert that offers a variety of flavors in a bright and airy setting with outdoor seating. Located in Gaziantep, known as Turkey's gastronomic capital, this baklava spot provides quick service and a well-sanitized environment. It's the perfect place to indulge in the renowned taste of Turkish baklava.
I had the opportunity to try baklava from other famous patisseries in Gaziantep, and I can say that Koçak Baklava is the best when it comes to classic baklava. The thinness and freshness of the pastry, the quality of the ingredients, and the balance of syrup and butter were all excellent. Moreover, the place truly lives up to the city’s reputation as a gastronomic hub, featuring a well-designed interior. I tried the classic baklava, square baklava, and tea all of which were outstanding. I wish them continued success!
ZEHRA T — Google review
Yummmm......so good. Nice, clean and cozy environment. Good baklava place to chill and relax. They have plenty of seating that is spread around. Plenty of parking, they have valet to take care of it.

Absolutely loved my experience at this pastry shop! It's spacious, beautifully decorated, and filled with an incredible variety of pastries that are as delightful to look at as they are to taste. The selection here is impressive – from classic Bakhlava and Pistachios. Everything I tried was fresh, flaky, and packed with flavor. The staff is friendly and helpful, making recommendations based on what I was in the mood for. This place is perfect for grabbing a treat or sitting down with tea and a pastry to savor the ambiance. Highly recommend!
Sina S — Google review
I can honestly say this is the best baklava I’ve ever had! I first got introduced to Koçak Baklava in 2021 when a family met with me in Istanbul and brought some along — I instantly fell in love with it. Since then, I’ve had it shipped to me in Istanbul and brought some home. This year, I finally visited GaziAntep to experience it firsthand. The difference was incredible — there's nothing like enjoying it fresh and warm right from the source. The flavor and texture are simply amazing. I loved it so much that I ordered more to be delivered to my hotel in Istanbul before heading back home. While it’s a bit on the pricier side, I don’t mind paying extra for such high-quality, delicious baklava. If you’re ever in GaziAntep, you absolutely should check out Koçak Baklava — it’s a sweet experience you won’t forget!
Ammar T — Google review
Baklavas, service and atmosphere were great. We ordered special square baklava and special pistachio baklava (özel şöbiyet baklava). They were so tender, light, full of flavor and melting in my mouth. Wait stuff was great. They specially designed inside the restaurant. We were not only eating the great food, at the same time, our eyes were appreciating the great design inside. They got their own parking lot and vale. I shouldn’t forget the tea. Usually I don’t like the Turkish tea due to its bitterness. They got really light Turkish tea that goes down smoothly. I don’t think so anyone can beat their concept, food and service. I highly recommend this place. It will be the restaurant I would definitely visit if I come back.
Mustafa T — Google review
We got 5 sorts of baklava and the katmer. Nice service. Nice vibes. The baklava was not good. The butter in it tasted too cheese in my opinion. Not for me.

I think already it’s one of the most famous and biggest place for baklava in gaziantep. First of all big respect for the service, the staff , the spotless place and its tidiness. Chophouse restaurant
Kadir Usta Kebap ve Lahmacun is a renowned dining spot in Gaziantep, Turkey, known for serving exceptional lahmacun and kebabs. The lahmacun, often likened to a Turkish version of pizza, features an incredibly thin flatbread topped with flavorful ingredients like ground beef or lamb mince, tomatoes, peppers, onion, parsley, chili flakes, garlic, and more.
We may not have had much space inside, but it was totally worth it! We ordered the Lahmacun, which this place is famous for, along with Adana Kebab and Beyran. Everything was incredibly delicious! Fun fact: this spot is actually recognized by UNESCO for their Beyran soup, and honestly, they absolutely deserve all 5 stars for its amazing taste!

Best morning soup in town and incredible rooftop dining with top rate Gaziantep lamb and mixed grill. The lamb was perfect in everything way and the kindness of the staff and owners on our three visits we felt like we were honored guests each time. Lachmancun outstanding too! We can't wait for our next trip to Gaziantep...we will be back!! Pictures later.
Lisa T — Google review
There was a bit of a language barrier but Google translate always to the rescue, since we do not speak Turkish. We ordered food and drinks via the online menu provided by waiter via a captcha scan. The waiter then got the order wrong, but this was unknown to us as we ate the food that was served thinking this is wat was ordered as there was no pictures on the menu. They also placed 2x bottles of water on the table when they served our salads that came along with the meal. We did not open the water bottles and left them on the table after we finished our meal. When we went to the till to pay, we received a total for the meal written on a piece of paper. The total was basically DOUBLE what we calculated according to the menu. When we queried the total and requested an actual bill for the meal, the price for the meal halved and then we noted they charged us for the 2x bottles of water that we did not open and left on the table. I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

We spent three evenings (6 meals) in Gaziantep, dining in most famous restaurants. The best one by far was Kadir Usta. Their meat was super tender. We tried kusleme, Ali nazik, patlıcanlı kebap, and maras tarağı??(fatty lamb). I should also mention that their lahmacun could be listed as top three of my whole life (a lahmacun enthusiast speaking). Their terrace added more pleasence to our dining experience. The only thing that could be better was their katmer.
Mehmet U — Google review
My friends and İ visited this restaurant and we had the tastiest Adana Kebab and Lahmacun. The patlıcanlı kebab was equally as good. Meat were seasoned and spiced well. Reasonable price, sharing portion and very friendly and attentive servers. Would definitely recommend!

As usual in Gaziantep, the food was very good and one dish in specific was extremely tasty with new taste signature, think they called it Ali Nazek Kebab. The freshly baked local bread was delicious. The service was excellent with English speaking staff. The price is high but you are going to pay for the experience and the quality of food and for the name since it is one of the most well known places in all of Gaziantep. One point is that if you are like me a big dude the portions are small.

Super efficient and friendly staff, very professional and helpful. The food was divine, especially the Ali Nazik Kebab, which is a chargrilled eggplants pureed with yoghurt and garlic to make a smoky-creamy-garlicky souce for the kebabs. Their baklava was so good, not too sweet. Price was reasonable given the quality. Would highly recommend.

Though we don't know turkish, we had nonproblem ordering, we were seated immediately, staff helped us and recommended excellent kebabs for us, the food lived up to its reputation, salad was amazing with pomegranate dressing, bread was fresh from the oven and the kebabs!!! I cant even begin to describe the taste. Pictures don't do justice as we were too keen to eat and didn't want to wate time taking pics:) Staff was very kind. Thank you and hope to come to gaziantep again to eat here. By the way they do help you park outside the restaurant. Just ask them at the door.

This place was excellent! We had the lahmacun, yoğurtlu kebap, and adana — everything was absolutely delicious and finger-licking good. Highly recommend it! Surprised the overall rating is only 3.9, because it definitely deserves a full 5 stars. I wish a took more photos.

The food was good as always, but unfortunately not the desserts. Prices have been going up crazy since this restaurant became more popular on social media. So, they lose their sincerity and taste over time, like others.

Great service with good recommendations to try seasonal kebabs and best crispy lahmacun to try on your visit to Gaziantep. Thanks to Mr. Cevher for his hospitality and his honest service! Will be back there and will keep ordering their baklava to Switzerland.

I had heard about İmam Çağdaş for years and always wanted to go. It turned out to be a great experience for me. Some locals told me it’s too expensive and didn’t recommend it, but I’m glad I went anyway. In general, places that are harder for locals to afford can offer a nice tasting experience because they focus more on visitors. This was the cleanest and most attentive restaurant I tried in Antep, which isn’t easy to find. Thanks to our server, Mr. Eyüp,he was very attentive. The Ali Nazik kebab made with grilled meat was delicious. The salad and the ezme were also very good. I love lahmacun, and this was the best I’ve had so far. The desserts were good, but there are a few spots in Antep that do them even better, so I wouldn’t especially recommend having dessert here.

The Zeugma Mosaics Museum, located in the Sehitkamil district, is a sprawling museum that opened on September 9, 2011. It houses a vast collection of mosaic art and relics dating back to ancient Rome. The museum is renowned for its stunning mosaics recovered from the ancient city of Zeugma, including the famous Gypsy Girl mosaic.
Had a wonderful time visiting the museum. Walls and floors of intricate mosaic decorations from the Roman era. Some of the mosaics are very long and elaborate, some were restored and some are in process. The museum houses the Gypsy Girl mosaic which is compared to Mona Lisa. Takes about an hour or so to see the museum and discover it in full.

The museum is truly remarkable, featuring mosaic artworks from the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD. It's a unique experience for anyone who loves history — or simply for those looking to enjoy something different and memorable. The Turkish people are genuinely creative in developing innovative attractions in every town or city, no matter how far it is from Turkey’s center. Wherever you go, you're sure to find historical sites, cultural spots, or entertainment areas that offer delightful experiences. May God bless Turkey🙏

Location: Near the silk road, 10-15 min by car from courthouse. Ticket: 100 ₺ / person for citizen, mandatory to have museum card; 12€/ person for foreigner which is extremely high! Pretty big and amazed with historical information with such archaeological finds.

Impressive museum. Quite expensive to visit but a spectacular collection of mosaics. It could do with more contextual information about the lives, economy etc if those who created them. And also some more detail about the recovery and restoration of the mosaics. But overall very much worth spending time here.

It is undoubtedly one of the most interesting places and a must-visit in Antep. The mosaics are well-preserved and highly diverse. I must admit that Zeugma is truly a masterpiece, but there are also many other beautiful things to see. If you are interested in mythology, you will appreciate the mosaics even more. Highly recommend it, and I definitely want to visit again!

The shop features various types of baklava, with some preferring the ones containing more pistachios for their light taste despite the syrup.
There are many types of baklava in the shop. I like the green ones better because they contain more pistachios. Despite the syrup, these baklavas have a light taste.

We ordered 7 pieces of baklava, one of every kind and all was super healthy and delicious. Price was 645 lira which some may consider much but if you taste those baklavas u will fond it worthy of the price.

The baklava was good but the coffee was almost not drinkable. The location is good. The service was friendly enough but could have been better. The prices seemed way too high. Although everything is expensive in Turkey these days, it still seemed expensive relative to other places. Minus one star for the prices, minus one star for the coffee which could have been better.

Gaziantep Castle, originally established in the 2nd century CE, has a rich history that includes influences from the Hittites, Romans, Byzantines, and Ottomans. Today, it houses a military history museum. The city of Gaziantep is strategically located at the crossroads of ancient trade routes and is known for its significance in the birth of civilizations.
The castle jas an amazing view, the surrounding area is magnificent you can find a lot of antique shops, cafes and restaurants.

If your in the city this attraction is well worth a visit. If you are really interested in the history, there is alot of text you can read while walking through the museum part of this site on your way up to the tip of the castle. Once you get on the top most of the area you can't really look out, but there's a viewing area were you can look and take photos. 30-60 min is enough at this attraction in my opinion. If I were to come back with friends I would probably take them to see it, but seeing it once is enough. Overall a nice attraction that's worth a visit.

Not a handicap friendly place, neither are the employees, very rude. And you can either enter by wireless payment or you cant. The entrance fee is 20 tl. Wish theyd higher the fee and invest more in their employees.

Katmerci Zekeriya Usta is a laid-back restaurant in Gaziantep, Turkey, known for its traditional Turkish pancakes. The charismatic owner welcomes visitors into the cramped kitchen space to watch the skilled preparation of the pancakes. The dough is meticulously stretched and topped with kaymak, sugar, and chopped pistachios before being folded and baked in a stone oven. The steaming hot pancakes are then served with an additional sprinkle of pistachio dust.
A family-owned spot specialized in katmer, offering just three varieties. Each one is freshly prepared in a stone oven over 60 years old. The owner is highly attentive, and the service is excellent. It’s a good place to stop by for breakfast.
Onur O — Google review
One of the first places I went to for traditional sweets in Turkey. It was so delicious that I finished a complete one by my self after already heavy meal 😅. The quality and the taste are amazing. The staff spoke English and Arabic with the native language which is rare for Gaziantep. The staff were very friendly and polite , the place is small but nice with small sitting on the front of the place. The price is very reasonable for the quality and the service. I highly recommend this place.
B.H. A — Google review
Highly overrated place because of its publicity. You can find a more delicious Katmerci in town half this price. Yes, it’s tasty, no offense but the price is so expensive. I’m sorry but 550 TL for Katmer is insane. I don’t think I would revisit. March 2025 price. The owner keeps saying he has the best Katmer in the country. This is just a relative opinion. I disagree with him. There are better ones for cheaper cost elsewhere in town. I don’t like “I’m the best” type of show. Let the customer decide, not you please. Overall score 3.8/5 for a Katmerci Overall

Delicious Come here hungry, portions are large. We split ours between 4 people. Time of day for this treat makes no difference - breakfast or late evening. Traditional shop with 4th generation baking, since 1800s. Watch as he expertly spreads the dough, sprinkles in the ingredients and folds the layers to create this delicious pastry. Chef was part of the Master Chef program! Katmer is thin layer of dough with thick cream, pistachios and butter baked in the oven. Don't miss this hidden gem!
Evren E — Google review
Unique. Katmer freshly made in front of your eyes. This family own business has many staff members that keep busy taking care of customers. Owner very friendly and proud of his business. A must-eat item - the freshness and combination of soft cheese, pistachios and thin dough is scrumptious

The Coppersmith Bazaar in Gaziantep is a long-standing market known for its variety of copper home goods, handicrafts, and spices. This neighborhood market reflects the city's history as a hub for copper production. Visitors can explore alleyways lined with copper Turkish coffee sets and other copper-inspired souvenirs. The bazaar also offers handmade leather shoes and traditional Turkish gifts at cheaper prices compared to other places.
Shopkeepers are humble and tolerant towards tourists. Their native language is generally Turkish, but there are also some who speak Arabic. If you do not know these languages, it would be better if you go with a tour guide who speaks English and Turkish. Sellers are usually open to negotiation and will offer you tea or Turkish coffee if they understand that you are a serious customer. In this market, there are various decorated and hand-embroidered copper products that require labor to produce. There are tens of thousands of beautiful products, but you can cook very nice Turkish coffee with copper coffee pots. The pink-orange colored ones are plain copper, but the gray colored ones are tinned. These coffee pots do not take up space in your suitcase and are very light. In addition to copper, souvenir furniture and mother-of-pearl craftsmanship products can also be found in this market.
Fisildar — Google review

In Gaziantep, Turkey, one of the must-visit spots is Tahmis Kahvesi. This historic coffee house dates back to the 17th century and exudes an old-world charm with its dark wood ceilings. Despite its solemn appearance, the ambiance is lively with the sounds of backgammon games and occasional visits from traditional Turku music players.
As an American visiting, the menu was easily translated by my phone. The baklava was sensational, I would recommend ordering many different types along with the ice cream. the pistachio coffee was absolutely exceptional. The history is amazing as well. Will absolutely return on my next trip!!

I visited twice, and both times were fantastic. The first time, I had baklava with çay, which was delicious. On my second visit, I tried the Turkish coffee, which was rich and flavorful. Both experiences were great, and the atmosphere is authentic and welcoming!

Drinkable tea with a nice atmosphere. Zahter is a thyme tea that is average. The baklava is priced per piece on the menu, but they won’t actually sell you just one. Very misleading and disappointing.
Cumhur — Google review
This historical coffee spot is an absolute gem nestled just a short walk from the vibrant Coppers Bazaar. It’s the perfect place to take a break from exploring the area and enjoy a truly authentic local experience. One of the highlights is their menengic coffee — made from roasted terebinth (wild pistachio) beans. This unique coffee was originally invented during the Yemen war period, when traditional coffee beans were in shortage, and it’s still enjoyed today for its rich, earthy taste and health benefits. A must-try for any coffee lover curious about regional flavors and historical roots. Alongside the coffee, you’ll find a small but tasty selection of local snacks and sweet treats, including traditional homemade baklava, which is freshly prepared and melts in your mouth. For those looking to relax even further, there’s also shisha available — a nice option if you want to wind down without indulging in too many calories. The place has a charming, old-world feel, is often busy (a sign of its popularity), and is warmly recommended by locals and visitors alike. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming — ideal for resting your feet and soaking up the vibe of the city.

There is a charming old house and across the street from it is an outdoor seating terrace. We totally missed the beautiful building and sat outside in cold. Make sure you find the right coffee house and not just a terrace. Coffee was not that great. Taking one start down because of very dirty restrooms.
Zu S — Google review
Very authentic place to be. But most importantly is their unique taste of pistacia (menengiç from turpentine tree) since 1685. I tasted it and see that they preserved the flavor and texture since then. You can buy their original coffee. They made it fresh and grind it at the store. Coffee is not heavy. Just spot on. Not bitter and great mix of pistacia and milk. Hands on best of its kind.

This is a 400 years old coffee shop. It is the oldest still active coffee shop. It is rebuilt, renovated several times because of fires or other reasons. They are popular with pistachio coffee which is called Menengic coffee. Prices are good for example tea is 20 TL and coffee is 50 TL which is less than 2 USD. They accept credit card and service is good.

I personally didn’t enjoy Beyran, as I really dislike the strong smell and taste of meat and bones, it just wasn’t for me. Then when finaly the waiter came, and wanted order my food, of course no English, and asked me to wait, he went back to some staff, they talked and even looked like they are arguing somehow, pointing in my direction and having the feeling like why did you enter this guy. Not sure they have a special event but if that's the case they could have told me. So the waiter came finally back said just ok, he kinda was waiting I order more when I already told me the dish I want. Weird atmosphere... Let's see how long it takes to be served and if the food is good and tasty... Ok the meat came fast, was ok, not wow but not bad either, but I was expecting some mezze or small plates like often the bring in other restaurants, here nothing.... And the waiter is so unfriendly. Other table where prepared with some mezze already, looks like there is a special menu today, but hence nobody told me anything. But will definitely not come back here, it's the most unfriendly atmosphere I had to encounter in Turkiye, and I travel a lot. And it's quite expensive for just a lamb skewer. Worse place ever, even the place it self is beautiful and could be nice, if the staff would be more friendly. I'm sure next in the street this small shop direct on the road is more fun and tastier to have a great dinner and evening

We visited this restaurant with our friends. The food was delicious and the service was great. Especially the server, Nimet, was very kind and tried her best to make our visit pleasant. The only downside was the music played very loud and mostly remixes. At an authentic place like this, you expect more local and traditional music to be chosen rather than a disco-like.

All in all Amazing! The Food was great, the atmosphere is phenomenal and there's a DJ. The service was outstanding, it took two seconds to get a new fork after i dropped mine by mistake. Zehra hanım was so kind to offer us a Tour of the Han as we were very interested in the historic Door at the entrance. She took a lot of time and explained the Han’s history very precisely. It was a lovely End to our evening and we are very pleased with her.

Honestly, the best food we had in Turkey. It was the food we already enjoyed so much, but it had that edge of refinement that we missed and love here!! Shoutout to Muhammet Oz for being the funny, informative and helpful waiter to tie the whole experience together!

I was there with my boyfriend for dinner. Indeed, it is a very nice and historical restaurant but unfortunately the service is way too bad for this price. We payed 2100 tl for the food, but I don’t think it was worthy due to the fact that my food came aprox. 30 minutes before my boyfriend’s food came and we had to wait a lot until his food came also, and of course that my place got cold while waiting. It is true that is was tasty but it is not normal to wait more than 40 minutes for a plate. Besides that, we had a table reserved but when we arrived the chair was broke, there were no napkins on the table and when we asked for some, unfortunately we got then only after 10 minutes and they were dirty (see the photo). Overall, the food was okay, but for such a place, I think that they have to do something about the service, which is very late, and also they need to take care how to bring the needs (like napkins) on the table. :)

I did not stay there, but came upon the restaurant wandering around the Gaziantepp Castle. It looked lovely, so we planned a special night in our 4 night stay in Gaziantepp to experience Gaziantepp cuisine in its finest. We could not have been more disappointed! The service was exactly as a previous review said. We were sat down and then noone came close to us for 12 mins. The only reason I even knew the time was I had responded to a messgae as we were seated. I have never felt so invisible in a restaurant before. Once we did get served, the food came out quite quickly, but it was average, especially for the prices being charged. We had eaten better food at local street kebap places. The glass of red I ordered came so cold we thought it had been frozen and the white wine was room temperature. I tried to warm the red, but it remained undrinkable. They did bring a slight warmer glass for me eventually. My husband suffered through his room temp white. I was so disappointed, as this was meant to be a example of the famed Gaziantepp cuisine. We both felt very unwelcome and invisible. It was the first place in a 6 week holiday in Egypt and Turkiye we didn't leave a tip.

As always, delicious food in a very tasteful environment. My wife and I have been here many times by now and never disappointed. (Only the music is sometimes a bit too hectic for a restaurant.) Also the service is always very polite & kind: we’d like to thank İslam Bey for the evening.

Restaurant
Ali Usta Kebap Ve Baklava is a dining establishment that offers great value for money. The staff is amicable and willing to provide detailed explanations about their menu. In terms of flavor, the dishes are comparable to the finest options available. The baklavas are flaky and rich in butter, although they might be slightly too sugary for some tastes. Overall, it's a place one would gladly return to at any time.
The food here is another place that offers big bang for your bucks. Staff here are friendly and eager to explain what's on their menu. Taste wise they are not far off from the best. The baklavas are flaky and buttery but just a tad too sweet for my liking. Overall, I would be happy to come back anytime.

Shopping mall
Shopping
Primemall Gaziantep AVM is a contemporary, multi-level complex housing international chain stores, a food court, and a movie theater. While Sanko Park may be slightly larger, Primemall stands out for its stylish design resembling modern malls worldwide. It is considered one of the most luxurious and prestigious malls in Gaziantep. In December 2022, it also served as a venue for providing relief efforts to Syrian refugees in Turkey by offering winter clothing, arcade games, and food.
Very large shopping mall with different famous international brands.
Haval S — Google review
Promall is a clean and well-organized shopping center with a decent variety of stores and a relaxed atmosphere. However, one thing that feels noticeably lacking compared to places like Sanko Park is the availability of cozy coffee spots or comfortable areas to sit, rest, and enjoy a drink. A few more cafés or relaxing corners would really elevate the experience.
Faris R — Google review
Primemall AVM is one of the most popular and modern shopping centers in Gaziantep, offering visitors a complete shopping and entertainment experience. Located in a convenient area of the city, it’s easily accessible by both public transportation and private vehicles, with a large parking area that makes visits hassle-free. What makes Primemall stand out is its wide range of stores. From well-known international brands to popular Turkish retailers, shoppers can find everything they need here—whether it’s clothing, shoes, electronics, cosmetics, or home decor. The variety makes it an excellent destination for shopping enthusiasts who enjoy having many choices in one place. The layout of the mall is well-designed, and it’s kept very clean, which adds to the overall pleasant experience. In addition to shopping, Primemall also offers a great selection of cafes and restaurants. Whether you want to enjoy a cup of coffee, have a quick snack, or sit down for a full meal, there are plenty of dining options. You can find both Turkish and international cuisine, catering to different tastes and preferences. For entertainment, the mall features a modern cinema where you can watch the latest movies in comfortable theaters. Families with children will also appreciate the fun zones and play areas, making it a great place for a family day out. Seasonal events, promotions, and special activities often take place, adding even more excitement to visits. The friendly and professional staff at the stores and throughout the mall are another reason why people enjoy coming here. Their helpful attitude makes shopping more enjoyable. Overall, Primemall AVM is more than just a shopping center—it’s a lively meeting point for people in Gaziantep. Whether you’re here to shop, dine, or relax, Primemall offers a satisfying experience every time.

One of the most luxurious and prestigious malls in Gaziantep. Perhaps this is my all time favorite mall in Gaziantep, although Sanko Park is a little bit bigger than this one, but Prime Mall is more stylish and built up like the new Malls around the world that I've seen (the only funny thing that I will say negatively about this place: is that i wish there was Kahve Dünyası in it )

Zoo
Outdoor Activities
Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Zoo, established in 2001, is Turkey's largest zoo located in the Burc Forest. It houses an impressive collection of 7,000 animals from 300 species and offers safari tours and an aquarium. The zoo is renowned for its active involvement in Anatolian tiger conservation, successfully breeding and reintroducing these tigers into their natural habitat. Educational programs are also conducted to engage visitors and local communities in conservation efforts.
There is a huge effort, the shelters and care of the animals are very well organized. An almost perfect organization has been provided. I must say that the only shortcoming is that no brochures/maps are given at the entrance. Because first-time visitors cannot understand the location of the areas.
Haldun G — Google review
Very poor maintenance. Monkeys, birds and reptiles are tucked in small enclosed spaces. Monkey house and reptile house are not ventilated and smells horrible. Aquarium was so small but it had some piranhas which was the only interesting thing. The only funny thing i’ve encountered was the fighting bear figures placed under a dinosaur fossil replica lmao. The same installment had some dead animals in formaldehyde solution which were probably never been replaced with new solution. It was a nauseating experience overall. I decided to leave after seeing the neglected bird cage that no one seem to care about, didn’t even went to see other parts. Would not recommend.
Yusuf Ö — Google review
This place has alot of potential. Much of the indoor areas if not all are closed to the public. The animals are not properly cared for, especially the avian species. Much of the exotic bird species are exhibiting signs of extreme depression and solitude (feather plucking, picking at the roof, frustrated behavior). It is not healthy to keep so many large social birds in such an enclosed space with a lack of attention. This is extremely unfair to the birds. It appears there is a lack of a proper caretaker for these birds and they desperately need the right love. I hope the park brings this to their attention promptly.
Luke S — Google review
What a wonderful place, its very big that you need more than 4 hours to see everything, their are many kinds of animals with a description of each one on the outside of its cage. If you visited Gaziantep, you should come and visit this place. A great place to bring your kids to. And the entrance price is very low, about 1.5 dollars.
Jad H — Google review
Safe & clean, a good visit for families. One of he biggest zoo in the world with hundreds of animals available to see. Its huge in here so you better free off your whole afternoon or morning. It is super affordable too.

Dessert shop
Cumba Kunefe is a delightful cafe in Gaziantep, Turkey that offers an authentic and unforgettable experience. Their traditional kanafeh, topped with pistachios and optional ice cream, is renowned for its amazing taste. This popular dessert plate also includes Gazi Antep's famous pistachios and comes with roasted pistachio and tea on the side. The combination of flavors takes you to heavenly culinary heights.
Everything was perfect, the sitting and the food. We have had a nice cheese kunafa, but before that, they served us some cream with grips, and the tea was free.
Haval S — Google review
When you first arrive to the place you place your order, after that they bring (everyone) a plate of cream (kaymak) with oranges and bananas. When we arrived we ordered a big plate of künefe, they brought us the künefe without even bringing us the (customary) cream and oranges with bananas plate which is supposed to be part of the order of what they call: (ikram) I ate one slice of künefe but I got angry and told them to bring me a plate of cream (kaymak) after I told them, they finally brought us 2 plates, because we were 5 people. EVERYONE in the restaurant had a plate of this, but not us because we speak a different language. After we finished eating, it is customary and out of hospitality they bring you tea, we waited for the guy to come take the empty plates, then waited for 5 minutes and no one brought us tea, (EVERYONE on ALL tables had tea after eating) The worst experience ever.. And the künefe was mediocre.. It was a 6/10 and the service was 4/10. 10tl for a 0.33L small bottle of water haha.. Okay.
Mr F — Google review
It’s okay, not perfect at all. Maybe because they have a lot of following and cloud. The kadayif is delicious but I know better places. The service is very rushing and part of a show (when ordering Turkish coffee).

Jasmin D — Google review
After a few recommendations we arrived at Cumba Kunefe and it is as delicious as it sounds. Perfect amount of ingredients without sugar or being extremely sweet. Served with a sort of cream and milk that I found to be must balanced with the general taste of the food. I definitely recommend! Service was friendly and clean. 💯⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Andreia D — Google review
This kunefe shop is one of the best in Turkey, very authentic with amazing taste that you will remember forever. The kunefe plate comes with ice cream or without, and it has ton of Gazi Antep famous pistachio on top of it and along side they serve you with roasted pistachio and tea, the combination of all take you to heaven. You must try to believe.

One opinion says that this mosque was built during the reign of Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab or his grandson, Caliph Umar ibn Abdul Aziz. Another opinion says that both of them only built the foundation. This is one of the oldest mosques in Gaziantep. I expected this mosque to be beautiful, unfortunately it was not. The building is very ancient and looks neglected, even I was worried it would collapse. There is not enough lighting so it looks a little scary, especially since the mosque is located in a narrow alley. We only came briefly at dusk and did not pay much attention so this is all I can say. One important thing, keep an eye on your bags and belongings!! Even though this is a place of worship, theft can happen anywhere. Stay alert!!

If you are looking for a nice place to eat steak and meat without a doubt this is the best place you can find in Gaziantep, seriously their meat is so delicious and clean, I've tried it three times and never had any issues with their meat (even their burger was so tasty and delicious) I have a few complaints: first is the quantity of the food: so although the food was so delicious you feel you're still hungry after the meal As for salads it was totally the opposite (the only got plates for two customers (but my question what if there's was only a single one !!!!) Last complain was the decoration of the dishes (I hope the make it more professional as it look in the menu) Nevertheless if you're looking for a place that delivers the best meat in town I highly recommend this place.

Best place in Gaziantep for steak and burgers
Mohamad A — Google review
If you're meat and steak lover, then this place is best for you. It's located in Gaziantep center - Turkey, serving you the best meat plates ever. It's almost crowded, that will be better to reserve earlier. The plates are done exactly as you ask for, by proffecional chefs and served by helpful staff. The salads are also well prepared. The staff are cooperative, having excellent information about smallest detail that you ask about. The environment could be better regarding lighting and the sound system there.

Doner kebab restaurant
Öncü Döner in Gaziantep is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Turkey. The doner meat, whether it's chicken, lamb, or beef, is exquisitely seasoned and roasted to perfection with just the right amount of spiciness. Visitors rave about the friendly staff who provide excellent service and create a welcoming atmosphere. This place truly does justice to the renowned Gaziantep doner experience.
(Translated by Google) The doner was very dry and lacking in salt. I normally love the starter doner, but I don't know why. The fries weren't crispy either, they were doughy. (Original) Döner çok tuzsuz ve kuru geldi, normalde öncü döneri çok severim ama bilemedim neden öyleydi. Kızartması da çıtır değildi hamur hamurdu

(Translated by Google) I ordered food from Müzeyyen Erkul Science Center, 1 döner and 1 ayran but 2 bones were found inside. I bit it and took it out of my mouth. Such disgrace is unacceptable, I do not recommend it at all. Also, it only has döner, potatoes and a strange sauce that tastes like mayonnaise, there is no other ingredient, no satala or tomatoes, definitely eat somewhere else.

(Translated by Google) It was one of the worst döner I've ever eaten. It was as if they had been waiting and brought to me. May God forgive me. The bread is so bad that my stomach can't accept it. You can't make a döner wrap like this. It's a disgrace. The potatoes were rotten and haram. It's poison. May it be a waste of your time.

(Translated by Google) Since I frequently choose Öncü Döner branches in different cities and was generally satisfied, I came here with the same confidence. Unfortunately, this branch fell far below my expectations. Even though I specifically asked for "lots of sauce" when ordering, the doner kebab served in front of me was almost dry. I wanted it to be a little flavorful with ketchup-mayonnaise, but the sauces given were in packages as small as a finger - they run out as soon as you open them. Again, I had to eat the rest dryly. The most important thing to pay attention to in a döner restaurant is to understand customer demand correctly and balance the taste with sauces. If you cannot achieve this and such basic issues are lacking, frankly, close the shop and start another business. The taste of the doner kebab was a little good, so we gave it three stars, otherwise I wouldn't have given it that either.
Bashir U — Google review
(Translated by Google) The bread was doughy, the sauce was weird, it was like they didn't put any döner in it. I don't recommend it. They didn't put any napkins. We asked for some ornamental peppers, they didn't come, they just packaged the wrap and sent it. (Original) Ekmeği hamur gibiydi sosu tuhaftı içine atılan döner hiç koymamışlar gibiydi tavsiye etmiyorum pecete koymamışlardı süs biberi filan istedik gelmedi sadece dürümü paketleyip göndermişlerdi
Ferhat E — Google review
(Translated by Google) Prices are reasonable but I found the amount of chicken in the doner to be low. The taste is very good. I deducted one more point because it was self-service. (Original) Fiyatlar makul fakat Dönerin içindeki tavuk oranını az buldum tat gayet güzel self servis olmasından dolayı bir puan daha kırdım
İbrahim G — Google review
(Translated by Google) Order details have no meaning. If you tire yourself by ordering sauce VS, you will get mediocre dishes over and over. I think the problem lies with the person preparing the doner because this information is usually given at the cash register and the product always turns out the same. (Original) Sipariş detayının hiç bir anlamı yok soslu VS söyleyip kendinizi yordukça vasat bişey gelip duracak bence sorun döneri hazırlayan şahıstan kaynaklı çünkü kasada genelde bu bilgi veriliyor ürün hep aynı çıkıyor.
Samet A — Google review
(Translated by Google) A döner wrap should not arrive after 1 hour and 45 minutes with its potatoes burnt and its lavash doughy. I never recommend it. It is a waste of your money and your waiting while hungry. (Original) Bir döner dürümü 1 saat 45 dakika sonra patatesleri yanmış , lavaşı hamur olmuş halde gelmemeli asla tavsiye etmiyorum paranıza ve aç halde beklemenize yazık oluyor

İt is a little far away from the City Center, it's located near the otogar of Gaziantep, beside it there is an amusement park or in turkish "luna Park" it is not bad... M1 mall is special than other malls in that it offers "outlets" more often and has more sales almost all the time (does not depend on seasons to have sales) so that is something you don't see it in other malls in Gaziantep like (SANKOpark/prime mall...)

Gaziantep Hamam Müzesi is a reconstructed Ottoman-style bathhouse that offers a fascinating glimpse into the history of traditional Turkish hamams. The museum features faithfully recreated cold, tepid, and hot sections, as well as displays of hamam utensils and materials from the collection of Haluk Perk. Waxwork figures and models bring bathing customs to life, while exhibits showcase ancient bath bowls, soaps, fragrances, and other artifacts.
Ticket is 30 lira per person. Cash is NOT accepted. You can only pay by card. There is detailed information about Turkish bath and there is also some demonstration about how Turkish bath works. All information is written in both English and Turkish. The museum is not big; usually you can finish viewing everything within one hour. I would say it's a place worthy visiting given its cheap ticket price and detailed and interesting information.
Misky H — Google review
I strongly recommend it to my fellow visitors from abroad to Gaziantep who have arrived here not just for tasting delicious kebaps and culinary culture. You can find explanations in English and the staff is,also very helpful. According to its foundation deed of trust, it was built in 1577 by Lala Mustafa Paşa, and is one of the finest examples of Ottoman hamam architecture and culture. After long years in operation as the "Paşa Hamam, Pasha Hammam," it was restored into a museum, bringing to life the hamam culture of Gaziantep.

Tickets should be paid by VISA card at the entrance. No cash accepted. No toilet a available inside. For any questions the receptionists are helpful.

Beautiful museum right beside the Gaziantep castle. You should visit and see the Hamam(Ottoman Bath) culture here before you experience going to Hamam yourself so you would not miss the tiny details during your Hamam :) Entrance fee was 5₺ only and sadly the soap making wasnt available bc of pandemic. Still you should visit if you pass by the castle :)

Interesting place to while away some time if you happen to visit Gaziantep, especially if you enjoy food. The museum is set in an interesting house not far from the castle. It is well designed and has static displays of the culinary history of the area. Most importantly, write ups are both in Turkish and English. Take the time to locate this museum the day you visit the castle - if you are interested in food.
Imran A — Google review
Say the name Gaziantep to a Turk, and they'll usually start talking about food. This city is known as one of the country's culinary capitals, so it's no surprise that there's a museum dedicated to its food. The layout and excellent information panels guide you through Gaziantep's most famed dishes, which of course include the sticky, syrupy delights of the town's baklava, but also plenty of savory dishes that have an extra-spicy kick compared to much of Turkish cuisine. You'll most likely walk out of the museum hungry, so study up the information panels while in the museum and then head out with your new knowledge to taste some local flavors for lunch.

The Alaybey Mosque holds great significance in Gaziantep as it is conveniently located in the heart of the city. Its central location attracts a multitude of worshippers, and the surrounding area, known as "carsi" in Turkish, offers various amenities. This ancient mosque boasts sturdy walls and provides essential facilities such as complimentary toilets and an ablution area known as "sedirvan." The neighborhood surrounding the mosque caters to diverse needs, making it a preferred choice for many.
The location makes for an impressive atmosphere, contrasting the business of the street with the peacefulness of the courtyard and the prayer hall within. The architecture is stunning and the community very welcoming. Easily one of the top mosques in Gaziantep to visit if you come by.

Gaziantep Archeology Museum is a must-visit landmark offering a rich collection of ancient Roman mosaics, paleolithic artifacts, statues, and even a mammoth skeleton. Located near the castle in Gaziantep, this museum provides an extensive insight into the region's history. Visitors can explore well-translated and detailed exhibits for a nominal fee.
Another beautiful museum that is worth a visit during your travels. I took my time and explored it for a few hours. They turned on one wonderful video presentation for me, but the cinema and cafe were closed most likely due to Covid-19. It costs 10 Turkish Lira per person with well translated and detailed information about the seemingly endless exhibits. It really brought my childhood dreams of Mesopotamia into the light.

A unique collection and an amazing exhibition. In comparison to other museums, Gaziantep Archaeology Museum is less visited, however I can say that it is one of the best museums in Antep. It is possible to see various artifacts from different eras and empires such as Neolithic, Calcolotich, Hittite, Roman, Hellenistic, Ottoman and such. Be ready to spare at least 2 hours if you want to visit this museum properly. At the beginning of the exhibition, there is also an elaborate section of the region's natural history, which gives you a detailed overall image. Be aware that the museum closes at 5 pm and the ticket office closes at 4.30 pm.

This popular spot offers generous portions of casual Turkish cuisine, including kofte, chicken kebabs, lahmucin, and homemade kanafeh served with complimentary fruits. We really loved the food here. The portion was huge and the appetizers were also tasty. The service was excellent and we felt that the price was quite affordable for the amount of food served. We paid TL780 for 5 people. It was one of our more memorable meals.

They were very generous actually, the plates were big more than enough, not mentioning the free appetisers which were really delicious, The soup also is good and you can refill it as much as you want and of course it is considered an appetizer so it is Free... The food was delicious both red meat or chicken meat... The prices were moderate not expensive at all the place was clean and nice a little bit hard to get to... Anyway it is a nice place to visit in Gaziantep

First of all theres no menu so we dont even know what the options are unless the waiter tells you and unfortunately i dont have an ultra amazing memory. You just order without even knowing any prices. The food that came was soo average that it made me question where I was. They have no meze to choose from only the onion and chilli ezme in the middle. We got three different dishes but all three were below average overall. The playes are all broken and only get changed if you ask for it which is ridiculous. We paid 2300 lira for three people but for this price i thought we deserved something better. Unfortunately i do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The total reviews did amaze me as i saw nothing near that quality. Maybe they used to be good but due to high turnover quality has decreased.

When we went there it was full of people, mostly local. You can tell it's a popular place. The prices were reasonable, the food was okay. Not so amazing, in my opinion. The waiters were insistent that we try everything, and they brought us lots of different food in small portions. However, it was too much, I couldn't enjoy them all together. And of course a lot of food went to waste even though we tried to eat as much as possible. Hence, I had a nasty stomach ache afterwards. The atmosphere was somewhat shabby and crowded. It was a surprise to see a young couple came to eat right after or before their wedding ceremony with their wedding outfits!
Ceren E — Google review
The place is very dated and although it looks authentic I think they are just trying to save money by not investing in the atmosphere. The employees are highly negative and are like they are forcefully working. When it comes to food we paid 680tl for 4 people which is the highest we paid so far in Gaziantep but at the same time the lowest quality food. Chicken was raw the Adana kebabs were more fat than meat. I always visit this place every time I come to Gaziantep but I will never come back.

Boztoprak Baklava is a delightful treat that embodies the essence of Turkish culinary tradition, particularly celebrated during festive occasions. This exquisite pastry hails from Gaziantep, a city renowned for its rich pistachios and delectable baklava. Crafted with layers of delicate dough filled with an array of nuts—primarily pistachios, but sometimes almonds or hazelnuts—each bite offers a perfect balance of sweetness and crunch.

(Translated by Google) First of all, I'd like to thank them for their attention and for keeping me informed every step of the way. They're clearly good business owners and wonderful businesses. I received my order today (September 24, 2025). The packaging was nice, the HAPPY BIRTHDAY sign was messy, but the business had warned me that such things would happen. It didn't bother me; the peanut butter was so thick that I immediately wrote it down and added it to the picture. The baklava is good, but it didn't really impress me. I mean, I prefer baklava with a punch and a greasy layer on the palate. I've had better ones in other cities. But is it bad baklava? It's absolutely fine. I'm sure it would be even more delicious if eaten on-site. I was expecting something different at Dolangel, but it was just a regular dessert, like the pistachio wrap. Şöbiyet is also average. Thank you again for your interest. Prices are average. Pistachios and butter are in the middle. Fiyatlar ortalama. Fıstık ve tereyağ fiyatları ortada.

(Translated by Google) After having some negative experiences at several popular baklava shops in Gaziantep, I'm delighted to have stumbled upon a place I can recommend to everyone. (Since Güllüoğlu, the historic Elmacıpazarı restaurant, was closed on Sundays, and the nearby Çelebioğlu Baklava was struggling to organize its customers, we walked about 20 minutes to Ömer Kozan Baklava. I think this is crucial because there's a small baklava stand, and since there's no display case, customers tend to lean over the desserts and talk very close to them. I don't want anyone, other than the chef, to be involved in my food. For me, taste is far more important than the quality of the food itself.) First of all, there were a few trays of baklava on the counter, indicating that the products were fresh, and the gentleman there told me they sold out daily. They greet customers with a smile and offer a sample of the baklava. After we finished our shopping, they offered tea and coffee. We said we could have some tea, and thankfully, they brought a glass of water. After walking for minutes to find a decent baklava, they helped us unwind from the day's tiring days. We thank them again for their pleasant conversation and customer-oriented approach, hosting us in a way befitting the history, culture, and people of beautiful Gaziantep. We hope to see more businesses like them take this approach. 🤍

(Translated by Google) I loved it. The lightness of the sugar and the crispiness of the dough are both amazing. The clotted cream and pistachios are of high quality. It's lightly syrupy, with no chemical aftertaste. We ordered one-day delivery from Gaziantep to Ankara, and it arrived beautifully packaged. We were very pleased. The prices are standard Gaziantep baklava prices.

Restaurant
YESEMEK GAZİANTEP MUTFAĞI is conveniently located just 5 minutes away from the fortress and market, making it easily accessible for visitors. Unlike other restaurants in the area that mainly offer kebab or donner, this restaurant stands out for its authentic and delicious local cuisine.
An excellent spot to enjoy authentic cuisine! I had the Beyran, and it was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The staff were friendly and accommodating, adding a personal touch to the experience. The restaurant itself has a genuine and authentic atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to try traditional dishes in a welcoming setting!

Very good place for those wanting vegetarian dishes and small plates. I had the Beyran (lamb soup) which was excellent. Half portions available to try out several dishes. The only negative is that if you arrive too early, not all items on the menu are ready. Get there too late and you have an insane wait. The place is not very big.

This was the most unique food I ate in Turkey. The alaca çorba was very sour and fantastic, the garlic kebap also a unique taste, aubergine kebap not bad either. One waitress knows enough english and very kindly showed me that I need to smash the garlic, not eat it all lol. I eat there 3 times, however one time I chose the mix of dishes in small bowls and left unsatisfied, I wouldn’t eat as a full meal any of the samples.

The restaurant offers a great selection of traditional Antep cuisine. All the food tasted was of great and seemed very authentic, they go beyond the typical dishes served throughout the city and offer seriously special dishes. Considering that this is Gaziantep the vegetarian options are impressive and the spot is a must visit for anyone who wants to taste typical meatless dishes from the region. As a tourist visiting the dining experience equaled an insight to the local cuisine and was worth the price, which is higher than the go to kebab. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Gaziantep from abroad and/or vegetarians!

Awesome dinner in gazantiep. Was able to sample small portions of all the local dishes. Utterly delicious and unique flavour combinations all washed down with a big ayran!

Yesemek Restaurant – The True Taste of Gaziantep If you’re searching for the real, unforgettable taste of Gaziantep cuisine, look no further than Yesemek Restaurant. From the very first bite, it’s clear this place honors the rich culinary heritage of the region with passion and authenticity. I had the chance to try their yuvalama, kuru patlıcan dolması, and kuru biber dolması—and I was truly impressed. The yuvalama was delicate and deeply flavorful, a dish that speaks of tradition and home cooking. The stuffed dried eggplant and peppers were both perfectly textured, bursting with that signature Antep spice blend that balances richness, heat, and depth. These are dishes that many try to make, but few get right—and Yesemek absolutely nailed them. One unique detail that stood out: the soup spoon they served was unexpectedly heavy and elegant, adding a surprising touch of quality to the meal. It made the experience feel more refined and thoughtful—even in the smallest things, they don’t compromise. The kebabs and other dishes looked amazing too—clearly grilled with expertise. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and proud of what they serve. You can tell this is a place built on generational flavors and genuine hospitality. Yesemek is not just a meal, it’s a journey into the heart of Gaziantep. Whether you’re new to Turkish cuisine or a lifelong lover of Antep flavors, this restaurant is a must-visit.

The food was served smaller portion to foreigners.. I ordered a garbanzo soup Mini bulgar balls were missing. The amount was served smaller than the usual and the price was incredibly high which I figured that out when I was paying because you are clueless, it is not informed in advance. It’s not worth it. You will get a better quality and more food somewhere else for that price… I asked for the bill they ask you to go to the register ..while she’s ringing up at the register you need to review the amount of each food on the screen basically you’re right there stuck to whatever price she has to ring up and you should agree and pay you cannot argue about it She’s asking you to view the receipt on the screen Instead of giving you a paper receipt. I have never seen anything like this In my life, no restaurants would do this once I paid the amount I asked for a receipt. She did not give me a detailed receipt for each plate that I ordered. She just gave me a lump sum credit card total that I paid no details at all. This is cheating to the customers I’m forcing you to pay the amount whatever it is .. I will never go there again. I don’t recommend anyone because it’s not worth it. Overpriced and does not taste good I have had better ones somewhere else. Please go to ORKIDE IT IS MUCH BETTER.. I asked for firik rice Oh my God the vegetables inside tasted old had a weird taste not fresh😞 I feel very sad when I’m cheated.. even though I spoke the language.

Restaurant
We finally managed to locate fistikli kebap in Antep. This establishment stands out from the typical restaurants found in Gaziantep. Coming from Istanbul, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Akan Restaurant. We sampled their findik lahmacun, cli kofte, and all of these dishes were delicious. The addition of their special salad featuring semizotu and purslane was a delightful complement to the meal.
We were finally able to find “fıstıklı kebap” in Antep. This place is not the regular restaurant you’ll find in Gaziantep. We are originally from İstanbul, so we enjoyed being at Akan Restaurant for dinner. We also tried their “fındık lahmacun” “içli köfte” and all tasted very good. Their special salad with “semizotu”, “purslane” was a great editon to our meal. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an Istanbul style dining experience!
