National Parks
Clumber Park is a vast National Trust estate located in Nottinghamshire, known for its woodland walks, scenic lake, and Gothic chapel. The park is part of the Dukeries area and offers a rich aristocratic heritage with abbeys, stately homes, estate parks, woodlands, and meadows. Visitors can explore Clumber Lake, Greek and Roman Garden temples, and the Chapel of St Mary the Virgin.
Wonderful day out,an incredible place stunning walks through woodland, along the meandering river, beautiful water rills, lots of things going on for youngsters, bike hire available from trundle bikes to adults. The historical grand house sadly is no longer standing but the history is mind blowing. The walled garden and greenhouse is fantastic and you can actually buy some of the produce at the entrance to the walled garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.

This is a decent park for a gentle stroll and spot of lunch. Entry price is very reasonable and there is plenty of parking. There are a couple of cafes, one of which is dog friendly inside. A second hand bookshop. Discovery centre. Shop and various cycle routes. There is a lovely pink stone chapel that is worth a look and the walled gardens were really well laid out. The lunch in the cafe was the usual NT fare and filled a hole. There is extensive parkland where you can walk if you wish to venture further than the main pleasure gardens and surrounds. There are two secure dog paddocks to let your dog off lead and one of them has agility equipment. They could do with more dog poo bins and the signage could do with improving. Near the cafe and shop the signs are clear, but elsewhere the signs and maps are pretty vague. We heard other visitors complaining of the same thing. All in all it is a lovely site for a walk and picnic with the family and a good stopping off point of you're traveling further up or down the country.

A visit to Clumber park was recommended to us by a family member. We are national trust members so parked in the NT car park next to the facilities. We arrived at around 1.30pm on a sunny day in the school summer holidays but despite this access into the park was smooth and quick. There is a huge parking area and plenty of facilities within walking distance of the parking. We visited the play areas which my girls enjoyed even though they are 11 and 14! There was a number of ice cream and food trucks dotted around as well as a couple of cafes so plenty of options for those needing refreshments. The park was clean and well maintained. We will visit again when next in the area.

Beautiful place, just gorgeous, ideal for a peaceful day out. We love it especially for bike riding as there are so many car-free, paved roads criss-crossing the vast park to ride in total peace. A stunning lake full of water birds; lawns in spring smothered in tiny daisies, tranquil woods with paths...National Trust cafe, of course with their iconic scones or a cream tea, delicious Bluebells Farm ice creams. At Hardwick Village there is another cafe with a food truck. Toilets, bike hire, seasonal events - don't miss the Summer of Play for the kids, with superb outdoor toys, games and playhouses they'll absolutely love. Our firm favourite day out that's hard to beat.
O R — Google review
Went with a group and had a really lovely day. Such a beautiful place with gorgeous views. There's something to do for all of the family, whether it's activities for the kids, walking or cycling, you will have a good time. Lots of parking on site, but you have to pay unless you are a National Trust member, where you get free parking.
Melanie B — Google review
Great place for a walk with lots to explore. The walled gardens is my favourite spot. The dog cafe could do with a bit of TLC, pricey and my drink from the fridge wasn't cold. £5 for a sausage roll so just had drinks. Could do with some more exit signs on the car park
Ellie Y — Google review
Lovely day at Clumber with one of our daughters and two grandchildren. All enjoyed the walks and wildlife, step carefully though as there's a lot of goose poo to dodge. The upside was we saw the geese guiding well of forty chicks, which was a rare sight. The cafe was nice, but again, it was hardly any gluten-free food, very poor, the same yesterday at another venue. That aside, the setting is lovely and well set out. The stables area looks really nice and has much on offer. The walled garden is superb, and we very much enjoyed walking around. So, very much a nice time was had by us all, but the NT needs to get it's act together with gluten-free. That said, we would thoroughly recommend it.

Our family had an absolutely wonderful day out at Clumber Park in Worksop. We did the 4-mile walk around the lake, and the beautiful weather made it even more enjoyable. The park was spotless, and it was fun watching a bit of the cricket match. We also explored the chapel, which was lovely, and finished off with some delicious ice cream. Highly recommend a visit!

Nestled in the heart of the community, The Canch is a delightful park that has earned its Green Flag status for good reason. This hidden gem beautifully combines ornate flowerbeds with an array of facilities designed for family fun. Visitors can enjoy free parking on Sundays and ample space to engage in various activities, from ball games to exploring nature. The park features two playgrounds catering to different age groups, ensuring that children have plenty of options for play.
Very little seating for grandparents parents and caregivers etc. bring your own seat or picnic mat. Otherwise a great place. I visit with the grandkids and have to lean on the fences as I have mobility issues. So we can’t stay as long as we would like. Shame the council can’t add a few more seats??? Maybe they can comment?

Really lovely area. Great play area for kids, with a bit for disabled children too. Water fountains that come up out the floor. Exercise equipment area. Skating area, there's a cafe that's open sometimes, otherwise pop into the aurora cafe. And a canal that runs through the whole area, that's lovely to walk along
Helena H — Google review
Very nice playground for kids especially in sunny days ther is water playground for kids swings fresh air
Bog H — Google review
There's lots to do for kids here, BUT some of the equipment needs fixing. There is what I think are some exercise bikes without handles or pedals in the Gym section. Not enough bins for inside the play ground. This is why I've given it three stars
Dean ( — Google review
Really lovely park, lots of things to see and do, kept the kids entertained for a couple of hours. There's two sizeable play areas, an exercise gym, basketball / tennis court, BMX / skate park and large green areas. There's also a splash pad which would have been ideal for today but sadly was closed due to leak issues. The park is surrounded by streams and waterways, a small takeaway serves hot and cold food and drinks and ice-cream. There are plenty of toilets but sadly they were all closed, even the radar accessible ones? A short walk away there is the grand Worksop priory. Definitely worth a visit and will return.
Andy S — Google review
beautiful gardens with pathways everywhere. Cafe with view of priory church children's play areas with swings ect. Water playarea with soft child friendly floor area. Skate park with outside gym lots of small wildlife nearby
Neil S — Google review
Great park Parking opposite free for 1 hour see pic for more details Free parking all day sunday No card meter change only Two parks altogether a smaller kids one with some great things on and a bigger kids one both very good. Big water features to play in in the summer Skate park as well a pretty big one It also has a stream and stepping stones which the kids loved with a few ducks pottering about Cafe towards the back as well All in all a great little hidden gem
Andrew ( — Google review
The park was fantastic in terms of all the different equipment for the kids to use. Skate park, younger and older playground, feeding the ducks and water park. Even though it was busy the children played nice. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because there were a lot of people using unnecessary foul language, a domestic argument that was way too loud for children's ears and some kids started a fire. So the police/fire brigade turned up. A woman also grabbed my son in a panic thinking he was going to fall in the stream. He wasn't going to fall in and she overreacted. He doesn't recall it as a positive experience. Saying that I would still visit again 😊

I like the shop very much but a lot of the staff seem to not care or are not respectful to the customers. It's like they really don't want to be there and that working there is a chore. Maybe they need to find another job and let someone who can show respect to customers and will be more enthusiastic about working for b&m.
Helen T — Google review
I always go to B&M to get my house cleaning products and I always have a look around the store but just lately I have noted the prices and getting more and more as to how the shop was. Also it is not a great look for the store when you arrive at the store to see employees just sat on the floor smoking just near the entrance. One thing that is a big positive is the new bargain range now that I do like. The other big bear is that when you ask a staff member if they have something in the store they say not sure it might be on this aisle or the aisle? And never enough stuff on the tills when it's busy.

With modern decor and mellow lighting, it creates an inviting space perfect for any occasion. Guests rave about the friendly staff who provide exceptional service, ensuring every visit feels special.
Not been here for few years and decide to come back. Food was absolutely outstanding and freshly prepared. The chef has brought out the food himself, staff were friendly and easily available. Will definitely be back. Also great prices, highly recommend.

We went into the restaurant to order a takeaway and was impressed by the relaxed atmosphere and comfortable seating. The staff were professional and courteous. The food was outstanding. It's a bit more expensive than a lot of places, but it's definitely a case of 'you get what you pay for' and, in my opinion, well worth it.

We booked a last-minute table for three. The staff really made our experience here a 5 star visit. The food was delicious and very well presented. The atmosphere was nice and lovely, modern, mellow lighting, but the thing we noticed the most was the friendly and polite staff and the exceptionally fast service . The only downside to this is that there isn't a dedicated car park, but there is a pay and display car park a few feet away from the premises which we used. Would definitely recommend

Did extremely well to say we were a group of 12 including 3 kids! All the food came out together nice and hot, didnt take longer than youd expect for a group that size and the food was phenomenal. Best curries ive ever had. I opted for the Venison Shangri La which was beautiful but I also had some Korma (best ive ever had), as well as some other varies bits. Everything was just top top quality. Can't recommend this place enough! Very very fair prices for the quality you get.

We used to enjoy going to Jhinook so on a celebration night, I booked a table for myself and my wife. I booked a week in advance. We arrived and it was rammed, people waiting everywhere. The man asked if we had booked so I said yes, 7:30, he mumbled and walked off. After standing there 20 minutes, he still hadn’t come back or communicated in any way. There was 2 other couples also waiting for their 7:30 spot, when a group came in and said they had booked for 8pm, they went straight to a table which wound everybody up. Basically we were stood waiting nearly 40 minutes with no sign of a table being available, I told the man to cancel and we’d go elsewhere which we did. What’s the point in booking a table, when they just don’t reserve one for you? Seems they like to let anyone sit anywhere to get the business and others wait. Anyway, on a positive, we found another amazing indian restaurant locally that beats Jhinook in every way so we will be going there in future. Thanks 👍

Not ordered from here for a couple of years as we thought the quality had dropped off. But we decided to return and ordered a takeaway. We were not dissapointed, the food was superb and was delivered in just over 30 minutes. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be placing regular orders, top notch.

Creswell Crags is an archaeological museum located in a limestone gorge, featuring caves and fissures that house prehistoric tools and art. The site offers the Creswell Crags Circular Walk, a 3-mile trail through the stunning limestone gorge on the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire border, providing breathtaking views of rock formations and surrounding countryside. Along the walk, visitors can explore caves and rock shelters once inhabited by early humans.
Amazing place to visit, and we have returned many times. Free entry to the valley and lake, cafe and shop. Charge to park a car (free for blue badge holders). Charges for cave tours and exhibition, but these are not essential for a lovely day out. The cafe is attractive, but the only real option for lunch is paninis and service is slow. All of the paths are suitable for a mobility scooter, except to cave entrances. A lovely day or half day out.
David P — Google review
What a great day out. The guide was informative, with a sense of humor. He made the talk interesting and used exhibits, which were handed round. Loved the caves and the immersive experience. My granddaughter loved the whole experience. Nice gifts available in the shop.

I have wanted to go here for years and had built it up in my head quite a bit. I was delighted to find that the site is i. Actuality ad atmospheric and beautiful ad I had hoped, but also with excellently displayed archaeology! You pay to park, but can access on foot for free. The museum is extra as is a cave tour (limited numbers). We had a pleasant half day there including lunch and felt no need for those extras, but plan to return and pay for both. The visitor centre is very attractive in a modern way while sitting into the landscape. Vibe is of a sub spine gorge. Lovely meadow for children to run off steam in. Includes a play area etc.

Pay to park, free to walk all areas, museum, gift shop, restaurant with inside/outside seating, picnic area, loads of rest a while benches, wood carvings everywhere. Huge pond to walk around. Cave exploration by special arrangement and a fee. Perfect for school trips.

What a fantastic place!! We spent a good few hours in awe of this place We went on the ice age cave tour! The guide is a friendly funny man with second to none toilet humour! He also informed us that there is 1 person that takes care of the whole place and does t really receive much credit.... so to whoever that person may be a gigantic thank you from us, you're doing an incredible job!!!!
Hannah C — Google review
A visit to this beautiful limestone gorge steeped in prehistory was a real treat. We couldn't visit the caves as the tours had been booked well in advance but the walk around lake which was free and a look round the museum (£5 for an adult) was really enjoyable.
Anita M — Google review
Fantastic day out. My family and I booked a cave tour. It was handled brilliantly. Plenty of interesting information for both adults and children, yet not too much to overwhelm or bore. Exploring caves and learning the history of the location was great fun for all. Lots to look at and explore on a walk around the gorge, a fun play area for the kids and a nice café and museum indoors.

We had a fabulous tour today with John. My kids (6 and 8) were completely absorbed and he was so good in his manner with them. He obviously is incredibly knowledgeable about the subject and humoured us when we went off on tangents about Robin Hood. Brilliant value for money and a lovely day out. Thank you

The menu features tasty options like the Neo burger, omelette, and particularly the highly praised Caesar salad. Good and great price £22 for a great Neo burger , omelette and chips with two drinks so I was impressed with the price and the food tasted good. Toilets need a bit of TLC as a general cleanup, but other than that good food good service
James R — Google review
As a previous fan of Neo it really seems to have gone downhill. At 9am the doormat was filthy as was the floor signalling a lack of cleaning the night before. There were crumbs all over the seats, the booths are in disrepair. The food is adequate but very expensive given the relatively poor quality of it. When theres only 2 customers in, cleanliness and service should be top draw but the tea had white floats of off milk and had to be returned. If you can't take pride in your own business how can you expect customers to want to enjoy it? Will be off to morrisons next time

Visited Clumber Park Cafe for lunch during a trip to Clumber Park. Was unsure if there would be suitable options for someone on a diet, but unfortunately the whipped feta and pea bruscetta was not available. However, the bean chilli with only 399 calories was tasty and satisfying. Another option chosen was a baked potato with cheese, which was enjoyed. The cafe itself had a nice variety of food and drink available in canteen style.
Nicely located near Sheffield. A very big place to go lakes, walking trails, Activities for kids, cricket match absolutely paradise. I will definitely recommend this place, specially in hot weather. DO NOT FORGET YOUR COLD WATER BOTTLE 😀

Ordered 2 sandwiches and a kids meal, they forgot about 1 of the sandwiches. Went in to chase it 2 times untill waiting for it to be made the 3rd time. Then the sandwich was stale so I asked for a refund. £9.50 for a stale sandwich with a spoon of coleslaw... Anyone thinking of a day out just bring a packed lunch. 3.5 for an orange juice aswell!! Rip off Rubbish would be 1 star but you can't do that.

So far is the best coffee shop in visited, plenty of choices , go for a sweet treat or some hot food, vegan and vegetarian options available and dog friendly.

Nice coffee, scones and flapjacks etc but could do with more food variety. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Nice atmosphere. I think access to public WiFi would be a good addition especially as the mobile coverage is so poor in Clumber. I look forward to seeing the café redesign when it's completed.

Hog roast wrap was not in a wrap ,in dry sliced bread. Stuffing rock hard. Tiny portion of pork which was also hard and tiny portion of apple sauce. Staff not directing people to coffee and cake counter regularly enough to ease the large queue. Customers clearing own tables outside. Not enough seating externally . Children's play area had several pieces of equipment out of use. For £15 spent on gate and nearly £8 for the "wrap" I was looking forward to eating something of quality and substantial fir the price. Very, very poor National trust. I used to love the reliability of Clumber Park. What happened???

Disappointed that the walled garden cafe is no longer. Otherwise had a lovely day sketching with friends in the glass houses before coffee on the main centre.

With over 20 miles of cycle paths, it's a great way of seeing and enjoying this National Trust Property. If you don't need to make use of the NT Car Parks it doesn't cost anything either (Free parking if you are a NT member).

I would like to offer a name change to Swan Park I have never seen more swans in one place!!! The following pictures are on the same day taken at the same time apart from the last one that was nice showing lots of swans in a row. What a great place to go also for a picnic

Day 2

Off the beaten path
For day 2, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Langold Country Park. Not quite as popular as Worksop Town Lock. Chesterfield Canal Workshop Section, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Langold Country Park, situated in the village of the same name, is a 300-acre parkland managed by Bassetlaw District Council. Located 5 miles north of Worksop, this Local Nature Reserve connects with Dyscarr Wood, which is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. The park offers well-maintained pathways suitable for people of all ages and abilities, including those who use wheelchairs. It features ample benches strategically placed for resting and litter bins conveniently located nearby.
Beautiful places to walk. Clean well kept. The pay area for kids is great with water fountain for them to play in. There is a cafe at both car parks. It's a great place to have a walk and enjoy a breakfast or snake.

A nice country park, but drops a star as the area by the lake on gazebo side was not tidy and the gazebo itself needs a bit of TLC. The country park includes a splash park and playground which itself is great. The lake area is nice and you can take a walk around it. There is a few entry points in to the park - loos and refreshment area near playpark.

Lovely place, nice walk around the lake. Play area for the children. Basic toilets. Splash park for kids May-Sept.

What a place! Free parking, water play, park, ducks, space, toilets. This place is fantastic for kids during the nice weather. You can take a gazebo or tent for shade, the BBQ and make a real day of it. I only wish I had found it sooner in the holidays.

Hodsock Priory is a breathtaking wedding venue that truly captures the essence of romance and history. Nestled within beautifully maintained gardens, this stunning location boasts charming historic architecture, including a Tudor gatehouse originally built for Henry VIII. The moment you arrive, you're greeted by an incredibly welcoming staff who are dedicated to ensuring your special day unfolds seamlessly. Their commitment to excellence shines through in every detail, from the planning stages to the actual event.
A beautiful estate, an excellent wedding venue. Signage off the main road could be better, particularly in the dark. There's a long single track which adds to the suspense and revel - impressive on a night. Appointments are a must if viewing.

As a photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Hodsock Priory several times – and it never disappoints! We recently had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Hodsock Priory, and it was such a wonderful experience! This venue is a true gem, with its stunning gardens and charming historic architecture that provide a perfect backdrop for beautiful photos. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and were incredibly helpful throughout the day. They went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, which made our job so much easier. The atmosphere at Hodsock Priory is so relaxed and inviting, which really allowed the couple and their guests to enjoy the day fully. One of our favorite spots for photos was the picturesque gardens—absolutely breathtaking, especially during golden hour! Each corner of the venue offers a unique opportunity to capture special moments, and we loved exploring all the beautiful settings. Overall, Hodsock Priory is a fantastic place to work. We can’t wait to return for more weddings and create more beautiful memories!

Attended a friend’s wedding here and stayed overnight in one of the courtyard rooms. Beautiful setting, lovely building, food excellent (canopies, meal & late night pizza), drink prices reasonable and beyond everything else, all the staff were super friendly. Room was a little warm but was the hottest day of the year, and would have liked some toiletries in the shower, but that’s being very picky!

A stunning wedding venue to experience!! Set in beautiful grounds this is the perfect setting to make the most of your special day. The staff are so helpful and the food is excellent.. If your group would like a wedding breakfast nearby, check out The Rondo Lounge in Retford, just six minutes away.. Minimum place numbers do not apply if you ring up and speak to staff. Excellent service and quality, flowers were given to our groom free of charge!

A beautiful building for a wedding or a stay over. Some of the pictures and decor of the rooms weren't to my taste. I also feel there needs a bit more attention to detail, one of the bedroom curtains needed hooking back up, the hand cream in the toilets were all empty. The staff were very helpful and polite.

Our wedding at Hodsock Priory was everything we could have dreamed of and more. The venue is absolutely stunning and its history is fascinating. A Tudor gatehouse built for Henry VIII—what more could you want?! Both the house and grounds are beautiful and are expertly maintained. The entire team at the venue were amazing and went above and beyond, both in the planning phase and on the day, to ensure that everything went smoothly and met our expectations. In particular, our event co-ordinator, India, was fantastic—so kind, helpful, and professional. She thought of everything and was always quick to answer questions and offer reassurance. All the food was delicious from the canapés, to the wedding breakfast, and the pizza we had for our evening reception. So many our guests came to tell us how much they had enjoyed their meals! If you're looking for a beautiful exclusive wedding venue, with fantastic staff which serves delicious food, then look no further than Hodsock Priory!

We cannot thank Hodsock enough! Our day was so special and everything ran smoothly thanks to the amazing staff! Skye our lead manager was amazing and helped me get into my dress on the day so I could do the reveal shots that we wanted. The food was delicious and our guests commented on how it was the best wedding food they’d ever had! We were so looked after all day, from having drinks passed to us straight after the ceremony to more straight after our first dance! The dressing room in the morning to get ready in is lovely too and spacious for hair and makeup. The honeymoon suite is huge as well and it was lovely to spend our first married night there! Thank you so much! We highly recommend our wedding venue! Chloe & Joe xx

A wonderful independent restaurant in Worksop. We received a warm welcome, top-notch tapas, and lovely wine. The service was friendly and efficient. Really enjoyed it here. A lovely place, a highlight of our day out, and would definitely go again.

Came up to Worksop for a quick night stay and had dinner here. It was really lovely. The place was packed too so the atmosphere was buzzing — staff were also attentive and kind. The food was so tasty. We had the baked Camembert to share and then had pasta/ lasagna for mains. Can’t fault the place! 10/10 would recommend.

We were looking for somewhere for lunch and stumbled across the Olive Grove. At first, we thought they were closed as it looked dark through the windows. When we got inside we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff offering to find us a table and insisting they were open! I think there were two other customers in there, so it was very quiet. (the number of customers is often an indication how good a place is, so I was a little cautious). Anyway, I needn’t have worried. It turned out to be a lovely place to stop for lunch. I suspect as it’s a Bistro and a little tucked away, their evening trade will be their most busy time. The staff were very helpful and the service prompt. The decafe tea was good and the food excellent. I had a platter on a wooded board, with chunks of different types of bread, cheese, olives, salad and cold meats. It was delightful! By the time we walked out I felt I had just sampled a taste of Spain.

What a wonderful afternoon we had celebrating a friend's birthday. Tapas was delicious and the service was above and beyond, we enjoyed a very special afternoon, they even opened up the little courtyard so we could sit in the sunshine 🌞 We loved the relaxed Mediterranean vibe and could have stayed all day. A real hidden gem.

Lovely place. Really great flavours. Probably fair price for tapas though it was my first time. Staff seemed a bit tired but it was last thing in the evening so that's fair. We got 4 of the tapas dishes and found we weren't quite full but the desserts did the job. Drinks are a tad expensive. Booked in advance.

Had delicious tapas selection including really nice gluten free bread. Lovely flavours and a nice friendly vibe. One of us is coeliac and no side effects experienced. The guy who served us was friendly, professional and knew about cross contamination. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to go back again.

We went for Sunday lunch today 5th October - it was lovely. Tasty, plenty of it and they gave us a jug of extra gravy. Really delicious. We then had a sweet with a Biscotti sundae that was to die for, and apple crumble just so tasty. Perfect meal. Will definitely go again 👍👍

The food is absolutely gorgeous, there was barely anyone in (early on a weekday) so we got to choose our table and had quick service. The food was all home cooked really good, not standard pub food at all. Pie was full of meat, gravy was great. The pasta was full of chicken and chorizo, we couldn't finish it all!

This was the chosen venue for drinks & buffet after an Uncles funeral today .I found out the carpark is fairly small with very tight parking spaces ,infact I decided to park off site in the end along with another relative as i didn't want to struggle getting out of my car or risk my car getting a dent .Inside I found the pub very clean with plenty of available tables in different areas. The staff on duty were very pleasant indeed when serving drinks behind the bar or glass collecting.Theres a large outdoor seating area for when the weather is good .Toilets are located upstairs & I found the gents to be nice & clean. Apart from the parking up issues on arrival, I enjoyed my visit to this pub & wouldn't hesitate on returning back again in the future .

Cafe

Located on Bridge Street, this exceptional cafe boasts an impressive rating of 4.9/5 stars on Google. Renowned as a hidden treasure amidst numerous mediocre establishments, MeltAway has garnered an excellent reputation within the community. Positioned in the heart of the town center, it is a must-visit destination for anyone wandering along Bridge Street. Regular customers consider it their second home, with one even humorously claiming to have honorary shares in the establishment.
Been here twice now - the food is beautifully presented, fresh and delicious. My favourite so far has been the cheese and mushroom toastie. YUM! The decor is very pretty , cosy and they have some out door seating too. Service was friendly. A must if you are in Worksop! They also have a disabled stair lift inside to access the till.

Lovely cafe in the town centre, a must visit if ever wandering Bridge Street. My mother is a regular - practically has honorary shares! Been a few times myself and never had a bad meal. Usually go for the Zapiekanka and never disappoints. Dessert - you cannot go to a Polish led eatery and be disappointed with dessert - good waffles with no skimping on the trimmings. Well decorated and laid out and well maintained for a nice relaxed vibe. Staff are always friendly and helpful too.

Absolutely love this place. Food always taste the same each visit. Staff are lovely & never feel rushed fir your table back. Favourite of mine is the whisky chicken salad👌🤤🤍
Ella T — Google review
Excellent food and decent portions. Even the toasties were just toasted really nice so you got good flavours and the right amount of crispness. The polish sausage was good, not as much flavour as an English sausage but nice with the mustard and chips. They’re coleslaw was nice and sweet. They did seem a bit rushed off their feet so went to the till to order for the table, not sure if they offer table service.
Leon D — Google review
Five star cafe in the heart of Worksop - really creatively put together with an interesting and delicious selection of food, and a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy it in. Loved the gazebo area at the front with its outdoors-inside feel, hanging streetlamps, greenery and solid wood tables. The venue is split across two levels, and as a wheelchair user I was pleased to see a well positioned lift for easy access between the two. The bathroom is also fully accessible which is rare in smaller venues like this. The hot chocolate was delicious! The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. There is free WiFi too. All in all well worth a visit, I'll be back.

This was the 3rd visit to this Italian coffee bar and also my last. The 1st visit to the newly opened cafe was delightful. The 2nd, about 6-9 month later not so good. I ordered a scone, it came warm with jam and cream. Not an ideal combination as the cream melted and dripped down my clothing. The 3rd visit, today, was terrible. My husband's toasted teacakes was shown the toaster and was dry. The accompanying butter was hard. My scone, no jam and cream this time, was hot and very dry and hard. I was informed they warm them in the microwave for 30 seconds as 'they are kept in the fridge and would be cold and hard'. I was expecting a freshly baked scone!! Last visit, no more. If you order a toasted teacakes and scone - beware. On a positive note, the price was reasonable, unlike the food

Breakfast restaurant
Miss Poppy's Coffee Shop was recommended by friends for breakfast, and to our delight, we were impressed with the interior and received a warm welcome. My wife and I opted for the six-item breakfast along with tea and toast, which exceeded our expectations. The quality of the food was exceptional, leaving no crumbs behind. We will definitely visit again as the entire team deserves full marks for their outstanding service. On another occasion, we had a delightful afternoon tea for a friend's birthday.
Went to look for a new sofa at Eyers and called in at Poppys for a coffee on the way out. Caught a glimpse of someone else's breakfast and just had to have the same. Have to say it was maybe possibly the best full English I have ever had. Cooked to perfection and fabulous quality. Service was very good and I would definitely recommend to all you full English fans.

So went into to Poppies and thought I would try the American style pancakes described as ‘light and fluffy’ unfortunately they were flat and Doughie and inedible. I mentioned this when we settled the bill, they said thank you for the feedback but still charged £10 for the worst pancakes I’ve had ever. Should have gone for the English breakfast which looked great. That’s why I’m giving it more than one star disappointed of how the service/management team dealt with this. To confirm avoid pancakes

5*’s all round!! Great customer service as usual… called our order in this morning due to a tight lunch schedule and it was provided to us as soon as we sat down! Delicious food, friendly staff… best cafe in Worksop! Thank you!! ♥️
Katie — Google review
Lovely coffee shop but like most places the prices have gone up considerably but the portions have also gone down and the quality as there wasn't much meat in the pie and what was in it was fatty and full of sinew and gristle. The food was nice and hot and the ladies are polite and efficient but that's not what tempts us in. The lemon meringue is usually amazing but the lemon middle was incredibly firm and didn't have it's usually tangy taste. It's also quite cool in the winter because it isn't double glazed just single glass panes so if you feel the cold take a jumper. Real shame because this place was the last of the best in town. Also card machine is temperamental so best to take cash.
Sarah L — Google review
Went in for breakfast and placed our order quite quickly. Drinks came out and my coffee arrived in a glass with no handles. I’m not sure why this is trendy as it’s dangerous when there are no handles as the drink is hot! I asked for it to be put in a cup or mug which the waitress did happily, but please, serve in a cup or mug! My partner ordered the English Breakfast with Black Pudding and I had the American-style panics with compot and maple syrup minus the bacon. English breakfast arrived with no Black Pudding so raised this with the waitress and she asked if we were sure it wasn’t there. We rechecked in front of her, no Black Pudding so she apologized and said it’ll be a minute and she’ll bring it. The American-style pancakes are absolutely not American-style pancakes!! They are totally flat, gloopy and more like a failed English pancake. The fruit in the compost was very sour. Not worth the money at all. We finished our food and the black pudding never arrived by the time we left. This won’t put me off going there as it’s generally very good, but certainly won’t have the pancakes again and will order coffee in a mug in future!

Bombay Spice is a delightful gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Guests rave about the fantastic food and exceptional customer service, making everyone feel right at home. The garlic paratha is a must-try alternative to traditional naan, while the pasanda offers unique flavors—though be cautious of unexpected ingredients! Whether you're enjoying a meal in-house or opting for takeaway, the atmosphere is lively and welcoming.
Jay - gave excellent service. A great menu that was well explained. Well worth a visit. It was a quiet Thursday evening, but everything was cooked fresh and piping hot. Jay suggested a new starter called Kastori Chicken, which was chicken in a spicy tomato, chilli sauce - beautiful and again, worth trying. The main I had was a Manchurian - medium spiced and excellent / exactly as described. Joshuary nann was delicious in fact I could have had two, one there and one to take home! Plain white rice was hot and light. While waiting between courses it was clear, that take-out / delivery is a popular with the locals.

Have eaten here a few times and have always recommended it but never again, Weirdly manager approached me whilst eating and tried to make a scene over my order ( I had ordered two starters instead of a main ) I have done this countless times I'm many restaurants and it's never been a problem the manager whilst I was eating approached me and in front of everyone on my table started to try and ask me about my meal , if I liked the food and why I only ordered a starter ( I had ordered two and my family was eating so I had paid for a few dinners ) I could've believe the audacity and played it off , but I have NEVER been approached like that in my life , absolutely disgusted and it meant that as I was in charge of tipping they got nothing as of you want to hint I'm being cheap , I certainly won't be tipping, I gave a piffy response, as it was my friend's bday I didn't make a scene , they then refused to split the bill and made us work out everything so a sour end to a bad evening, food is worse than last time I went portions smaller and the owner is hovering and making sure you spend a certain amount otherwise be prepared for him to try and shame you I front of his customers Would not go back will not be ordering takeaway again and if any asks me ( as I'm known as a foodie ) I will happily tell them about the service and food I was squeezed for

For day 3, we recommend exploring the southwest side side of town. Start the day off with Notcutts Dukeries, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Poundland. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Notcutts Dukeries is a delightful destination that promises an enjoyable experience for garden enthusiasts and families alike. With its well-organized layout, ample parking, and easy accessibility for those with mobility challenges, it’s a breeze to explore. The garden centre boasts a fantastic selection of healthy plants, stylish accessories, and seasonal decorations that cater to all tastes. Visitors can also indulge in the café's offerings—complete with dog-friendly seating—where friendly staff serve up quality meals amidst a cozy atmosphere.
We called in at the Notcutts Garden Centre and Farm Shop at Worksop yesterday. The garden centre has a lot of healthy plants, gifts, bird feeders, food, clothes, smelly candles etc and now Christmas decorations. We started the day with a farmers breakfast in the restaurant which was lovely but a little expensive, the restaurant wasn't very warm nor was inside the garden centre, many customers were complaining how chilly it felt especially as it was such a cold day outside. It's quite expensive compared to other garden centres so we didn't buy much but enjoyed looking around. We then went across to the farm shop which had a good choice of meat, savouries, fresh vegetables, salad and chutneys, there is also a coffee shop and a gift shop close to the farm shop. The garden centre is disabled friendly with a good size disabled toilet, the staff are friendly and helpful and well worth a visit.

Stunning location , made better by wonderful weather . Free , and ample parking with easy access for those with mobility issues . Amazing array of everything for the garden and home , always great offers available . With lots to see and do for the whole family - there’s something at Notcutts for everyone. The cafe has a dog friendly seated area inside , with friendly helpful staff , and food that is good quality . Seating available outside for when the weather is clement . Thank you to the Staff in the cafe for finding and supplying a bowl of water for My dog . Staff all over the site are cheerful , helpful and courteous. With a short walk via a marked trail to Cresswell Crags - this a good place to visit .

Love this garden centre but our ONLY gripe was trying to get a seat in the dog friendly section of the cafe but we've been today and noticed them serving drinks and cakes etc in the long greenhouses and they've put tables and chairs in there AND it's dog friendly 👏👏👏 an absolutely brilliant idea and makes the experience 100% better if you want drinks / food etc and you have dogs ! What a top class garden centre and we're already looking at our next trip to notcutts . I say looking forward to it as we live 25 miles away but it's worth the travelling , especially now 👍

Came to Dukeries in September for my baby shower, we used the end greenhouse which is thier function room for this had around 26 guests and this was the perfect size. We had the best time here had the high tea for the event which was lovely, the food was all delicious the staff were really friendly and made sure to top us up with tea, coffee water throughout. James who helped to book and organise this was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed throughout! We were able to add a few bits of Decor but you don't need much with the beautiful interior of the room. Would recommend for events!

Well worth a visit as we have come a few time’s now in the last month. The garden centre itself is well presented with good parking to the right of the building. Nice selection of plants and accessories in the main shop and the outdoor courtyard has plenty of outdoor options to consider. I have found them to be a little bit more price wise but the overall products they sell look better quality. Especially with the roses. Never had an issue with the staff everyone always smiling and happy to help. And when your done there you have the modest museum (free!), coffee shop and farm shop to look forward too after.

Shocked by the staff working in the garden centre restaurant. Staff in other areas are kind and helpful. Plenty of smiles and offers of help. Some of the staff working in the restaurant however seem like they resented being at work. We ordered 2 adult meals, one children's hot meal deal and one children's sandwich box meal deal. When asking for the preferred box meals pudding ( either jelly or a cake ) we were given a biscuit and a sharp response of " that's all we have ". After our daughter finished her hot meal, we asked for her pudding ( chocolate brownie and ice cream ) I was told " well table 19 has already had 3 tubs of ice cream! ". For a start we sat at a different table so I have no idea what prompted this sudden outburst followed by " well we normally give you the ice cream before you sit down ". Which would then have been ice cream flavoured soup by the time our daughter fished her meal but non the less we neither received the brownie nor the ice cream. After 5 minutes of arguing in front of a line of people, the lady who very obviously has zero people skills thrust one half of the brownie and ice cream combo at us. ( vanilla ice cream ). Thanks lady. You've single handedly ensured we won't come back.

We use to go here all the time but when they stopped the free drinks and meals offer on the loyalty card we fell out with the place especially as i had just renewed my card and then lockdown started and when they were finally open you couldn't get a free drink unless you bought a meal .Then we went on lockdown again so by the time things opened up my card was due to renew again and i hadn't used it. They didn't honour any of the missed drinks unlike Dobbies so that was £12 wasted. I didn't renew. Called in today had a nice scone and drink in the cafe. Sat outside it wasn't busy at all. Got a sale on at moment think mostly on larger garden items, it wasn't on plants 😀 Has a good christmas display at moment. I thought they were a bit pricey might take a look after xmas when they drop the prices 😉

We visited on a Monday with our dog and it was so busy but so nice. Picked up lots of bits and bobs for the dog as well as ourselves. We had a late breakfast at the cafe and the staff were amazing. They were so nice, very attentive but not over bearing in anyway. Clearly very busy but did not let that lack on their customer services. Every single person that served us, think there was about 4/5 in total were lovely people. We had lots of fun and are definitely wanting to come back soon. It was a very inviting environment.

Loved it, came mainly to see the grounds and Helen Oxbury exhibition. Illustrations were 🤩 and the gift shop had so many unique pieces reasonably priced. Beautiful place exceeded expectations and was worth the trip. In the museum towards the back of the courtyard there is an unpleasant smell of sewers coming from basement toilets. Didn’t have a chance to do the full estate walk and see everything before 5pm but would like to return. The garden centre was mehhh, nothing different from Brookfields.

Fantastic exhibition the people working there were very knowledgeable and friendly. The shop sold wonderful products some of them home made. The site is right next to one of the best gardening centres I’ve ever been to. Full marks.

Be aware the cafe stops selling hot food before 3, and they wouldn't allow even a sausage roll from their own farm shop for elderly relative, it was pouring down with rain, and said we could eat in the car. Restaurant also stops serving hot food early. The museum is good but felt staff service was dismissive. Wouldn't be returning.

Smashing day out with lovely food, a farmer's shop, art gallery, museum and garden centre, all sharing one car park. The kids were thoroughly entertained with the hands on in the gallery and museum.

Very busy place with 3 cafe, a garden centre, gallery and farm shop. The small cafe is always too busy to get a seat so would advise going mid week to eat in this place. Had lunch in the Norcutts garden centre cafe. Food was average, a tuna melt with chips and jacket with salad. The queue to get served was ridiculous 20mins. Busy busy probably I hear you think. No, only two people in front of me! Absolutely insane. Garden centre is lovely but need to buy the £15 discount card to get the price on the ticket so just beware. The gallery just lovely some really interesting things fr sale and staff really pleasant. Worth a trip overall but come midweek to avoid the queue.

Thai restaurant
The Tiger Bar & Thai Restaurant, formerly known as Thai Cassia, is a delightful spot that promises an authentic taste of Thailand right in the heart of town. With a diverse menu featuring traditional dishes to cater to every palate, it’s perfect for both casual diners and those looking for a special night out. The atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxed, making it an ideal place to unwind with friends over expertly crafted cocktails or a selection of fine wines and beers.
Cannot recommend this restaurant enough! Went with friends in which one of my friends is clinically vulnerable. They seated us out of the way and ensured no one was seated next to us. Staff we’re polite and accommodating and the food was delicious! Thank you again for a wonderful experience!
Kirsty J — Google review
Please note: The restaurant is PERMANENTLY CLOSED. My husband and I were absolutely gutted when we swung by tonight (late August) to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary with a fantastic Thai meal, only to find it shut, lights off, and with a sign saying it was closed until further notice. I went looking on Facebook for more information, only to discover it permanently closed back on the 1st of June. 😭 It’s such a shame even though the reasons given are understandable and it obviously couldn’t be helped. I’m leaving this poor feedback to provide notice and have reported it as permanently closed. We loved eating here. Really sorry to see it gone.

TERRIBLE! Worst Thai food I’ve ever had and I’ve been eating Thai food for over 30 years. Flavourless starter and main, felt like a baby being weened onto food. More flavour in a jar of cow&gate. Definitely won’t be recommending or returning. Old reviews from years ago are raising the same issues and all the owner does is berate the reviewers instead of correcting the issue!

Place is OK saff are friendly and helpful. However, with a large party some starters came out and others took too long that most finished eating before others had started. Coffee shop
Piccolo Espresso Bar is a cozy and quaint independent coffee shop located on Bridge Street in Worksop, England. The small traditional building has a warm and inviting atmosphere with only a few seating tables and bar stools available. Customers can enjoy a variety of coffee options, including cappuccino, which can be ordered at the counter for cash or card payment. The friendly staff will bring your order to your seat, providing a pleasant and refreshing experience.
This was my 1st visit here to this independent coffee shop .There's 3 steps to combat upto the entrance door of this old style traditional building but once inside you'll find its very small but with a cosy feel to the place as there only 2 or 3 seating tables along with 8 bar stools & worktops .I placed my Cappuccino coffee £3.20p)order @the counter, (cash or card payments are accepted. ) then i was told by the pleasant lady on duty to take a seat & I'll bring it over which was a nice surprise & refreshing change to hear.I sat on one of the three stools located with a view out of the front window. After hearing the coffee beans being grounded noise ,It was quite a few minutes before my Cappuccino arrived which looked very nice in a smallish cup with light chocolate sprinkles.I did enjoy the drink but personally I would of liked it to have been a little bit hotter ! Customers cups were soon cleared & table tops cleaned once they left so the place is nice, clean & tidy .Should you require a nice & quiet cuppa in a relaxing atmosphere then this is the place to try ,I shall definitely be back again & maybe try a cake next time !

Worksop is not a dying town, it's a dead town. All the surprising that it has not one but two specialty coffee shops. Piccolo is a roastery and coffee shop. A rare sight, a lever operated espresso machine. The age of the building can be seen from the cast iron columns supporting the wooden beams. Excellent coffee, knowledgeable and passionate owner.

The late was ok, so was the fruit loaf. However, the dirty chai late was overly sweet and I'm not sure if it had the espresso shot in it that got paid for. Peculiar Saturday morning clientele of elderly local people who all know eachother for an espresso hipster bar vibe. 😅

My partner and I visited Piccolo’s whilst having a wander around town. The service was prompt and the girl behind the counter was pleasant, friendly and made us feel welcome. I ordered a cappuccino and my partner ordered a chai latte, the cappuccino was arguably the best I’ve ever had and my partner really enjoyed her chai latte. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed and we enjoyed our time and drinks sat very comfortably. We can’t comment on the food as we didn’t order anything, but we would absolutely recommend that you visit Piccolo’s.

As a kiwi, I love my coffee, I've been to many great cafes, but making an exceptional coffee every time is rare like pigs flying. This is something I've come to accept, even the best of cafes will inevitably serve a bad coffee, then another bad one, then maybe you'll get a good one. To say I am in awe of these guys is an understatement. The coffee comes out perfect.every.single.time!! It's wild that of all the places I've travelled, I've found 💎 of coffee making right here in worksop. So if you love coffee, like really truly love great coffee, this is it..literally the only place you need to go. I would drive out of my way to come here for a coffee, hands down 100% of the time. They have lots of regulars, they make their own cakes and sour dough bread, so having a sweet treat on top of the perfect coffee..#Heavenly 👌

The fish is consistently fresh, flaky, and encased in a perfectly golden batter that adds just the right crunch. Their thick-cut chips are fluffy on the inside with an ideal crispy exterior—truly satisfying!
Chip Inn Whitwell is hands down one of the best traditional fish and chip shops I’ve ever visited. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with friendly faces and that unmistakable aroma of freshly cooked, proper British comfort food. The fish is always top-notch — flaky, fresh, and wrapped in a perfectly crisp, golden batter. The chips are everything you want them to be: thick-cut, fluffy inside, and just the right amount of crispy outside. It’s the kind of meal that makes you nostalgic for the seaside, no matter where you are. Service is fast and genuinely welcoming. The team clearly takes pride in what they do, and it shows — whether it’s a busy Friday night or a quiet midweek visit, the quality never dips. The portions are generous, prices are fair, and they’re always happy to make your meal just how you like it. If you’re anywhere near Whitwell and fancy a chippy tea, don’t even think twice — Chip Inn Whitwell is the place to go. Once you’ve been, you’ll keep coming back. Highly, highly recommended!

I have never had a bad experience at this chippy. It may be a 3 hour round trip for me to have some food from there but my goodness it’s always amazing. The staff are always lovely, the food is always beautiful and fresh & the owner is always there & happy to chat & always makes you feel welcome! I’d never go to any other chippy, because no other chippy would compare!

Made an order through Uber Eats as I fancied a lovely piece of fish with some chips. The whole family also ordered. Food arrived just before 20:00, everything arrived apart from my fish, the one thing I wanted. Tried to call but they were closed, gutted. Had to order a fish from Sea Blue in Clowne instead to scratch my food itch, something that The Chip Inn couldn't and didn't deliver. No way to contact the chippy as it was closed and couldn't lodge a complaint either.

Fab little chippy, staff friendly and helpful. Its usually pretty busy on a friday so find it easier to order by phone or website so that my order is ready when I get there. Eco friendly recyclable packaging is used which is a plus for me! Love that staff are able to take a break and have a little dinner must be a great perk of the job!

Wow dont know where some of these reviews are for but not the same place I've been. Been a few times and been lovely so decided to take my service users in the minibus and have a treat. They and staff had different preferences from fish to sausage to pies. All really enjoyed them and ate nearly all. Was well worth the 1.5 hrs round trip. Will defo be going again. Staff were really nice despite throwing 10 orders at them at once. Has for the review about staff eating in the back, if I worked there I'd be having my food onside. Thanks

Fantastic food and value we have never had a bad meal. The food is all cooked to order so always hot and fresh. Staff are always friendly with quick delivery times
Maxine F — Google review
Wow! Ordered fish and chips (nice and simple) over the phone for delivery, and it was SO good! The batter on the cod was crispy, light, and tasty, and the fish was perfectly done. The chips (small portion) were really nice too, I have to say! The delivery was pretty fast considering the time of day, and the lady delivering it was really friendly and nice. The fish broke in two as I moved it from its own individual wrapping, so the picture really doesn't do it justice, but this was the best fish and chips I've had in a while! Top stuff!

Love the food here, I’ve only collected once, staff are really friendly. I always get delivery, the food still hot when delivered, what’s even better the food is never “greasy”. If feeding more than 2 people I order the Mega Box. So much food. A* recommend to everyone.

National Trust - Mr Straw's House is a unique property that offers a glimpse into the life of a grocer's family in the 1920s. Despite its unassuming exterior, the Edwardian house has remained virtually unchanged for over 85 years. The collection includes everyday items from the 1920s to 1950s, providing an authentic look at domestic life during that period.
Such a delightful place to visit. The story of this 'stuck in time' house is fascinating and the vast amount of items is incredible. The volunteers were so nice and informative. Really enjoyable and fully recommended.
Marvin C — Google review
Really interesting and sad hour walking through the house and rooms, still looking as they did when the boys/family lived there. Through the attic and back down to reception. Check the website for 'what's on' tea/coffee available and you can park in the old orchard...
Ilona R — Google review
This was a long awaited visit. Booking is restricted, but on the day we had freedom to explore the house for as long as we wished. This is an amazing time capsule, I recommend it to anyone interested in social history. The greenhouse was a particular treat.
Andrew M — Google review
This is not like any other national trust property I have visited. It definitely is not a trip back to the 1920s; it is a look at what a house looks like when it has been lived in for 70 years. It raised a lot of questions for me, some about the story of the house (such as, what did Mr Straw think he was giving to the NT?) and some about the houses we live in and the way they tell our histories/stories. As usual the volunteers were passionate about the place, so talk to them to explore the questions.
Andrew J — Google review
The property is actually 2 houses, side by side, and one enters the house on the left to check in. Parking is across the street in the old apple orchard. The sign is small so keep a look out. You need to book a time slot for entry as they only permit a small group into the house at one time. After checking in, you are escorted next door by a guide who gives the history of the house and the family. Really quite informative. This is the property of a hard working grocer who managed to make enough money to build a house on this "posh" street. When you walk inside, it's like being in a time capsule from 1932. When Mr. Straw passed suddenly in 1932, his wife proclaimed that nothing was to be touched. When she died her sons did the same. As a result, you are walking into a house that had upgrades for it time period: running water, electricity and a toilet, but no future amenities like central heating or refrigeration. Mr. Straw's coats still hang on the hooks as they were in 1932. There are stacks and stacks of items still sitting in the spot where they were originally. Room after room was the same. The self guided tour takes you through all of the rooms, up through the third floor, then exits into the adjacent building, and down the stairs back to the check in desk. There is no accommodation for limited mobility. Also, large purses or backpacks are not permitted to be carried through the house.
Barbara G — Google review
Amazing group of volunteers that work at the house. They are so knowledge and have so many stories about Mr Straw, the Straw Family and the house itself from who owned it, why it has been kept as a time capsule as well as unique stories about the tenants and encounters with those that remember the history. The house itself is packed full of history. It is dark inside to keep everything safe and secure from the damages of time. The items are unique with some of the rooms holding loads of small items including chocolate boxes and bottles. The listening pod has a few stories about the grocery shop owned by Straw and his personality about a funny story about the shop cat. The garden is stunning. The cactus green house still prominent. The gift shop had a few items including stationary, cacti, blind dates with a book and rare books.
Jessica M — Google review
This little time capsule is a absolute must to visit. Every item is genuine to the house. Nothing has changed in the house for around 100 years. You are given a small talk about the history of the Straw family history which is super interesting , then you are left to explore this wonderful house in your own time. Many thanks to the lovely staff and volunteers there that made us very welcome. Well worth a visit.
Bev M — Google review
Lovely, different kinda NT property with it's own unique charm. You really do get a feeling of stepping back into last century from all of the nik-nacs the Straw family left behind from the sweet tins to the old vacuum and mountains of letters left on the piano. Remember to look above the kitchen door and you'll see a switchboard type system for the live in maid at the time. The garden is beautiful and divided into two for the two properties with a few apple trees and a plum tree. At the back of Mr Straws garden is a wood framed greenhouse that was restored when NT took over and houses many of his sons Cacti collection. Definitely worth a couple of hours to spend here and the volunteers are in no rush to kick you out after looking around the house. They're also really friendly. I spent a while relaxing in the garden and reading the leaflets about the family.

I love going to look at the antiques and collectibles here. They have an interesting range of old and new collectibles to look at and I have bought quite a few interesting items from. Worksop Town Lock. Chesterfield Canal Workshop Section

4.2

Worksop Town Lock, located along the Chesterfield Canal Workshop Section, is a picturesque spot popular for leisurely boat cruises and tranquil walks. The canal links Worksop with other charming destinations like Retford, Gainsborough, and Chesterfield. Visitors can enjoy strolling along the canal side and taking in the beautiful scenery of old buildings and clean waterways. It's also a great place for activities like cycling, jogging, or fishing at the nearby pond.
Chesterfield Canal section heading into and through Worksop. Nice pathways and very idyllic. Lovely on a sunny day.
Graham H — Google review
Nice place to go cycling jogging or walking could do with a bit more maintenance and looking fatter from the council and waterways
Hamish M — Google review
well, a chance outing to releive a little sunday boredom led us here and im glad it did as ive never been before, the town itself which we walked through on our way to the canal is quaint and not massive like i thought, the walk to the canal offered plenty of old buildings which i love and the actual waterway is clean and very pretty, beautiful scenery on both sides and a huge pond too if you like fishing..i could say more but you really need to see it for yourself so if you enjoy shopping, walking, water, nature, old buildings etc then i recommend making a day of it, its lovely, peaceful and a not too far away drive (depending on where you come from) with the added bonus of plenty of woodland all round no matter where your coming from.

Kids Zone is an indoor play area where children can enjoy various activities such as running, jumping, sliding, and gliding. It has a separate section for toddlers to ensure their safety. This place is suitable for kids up to about age 12. There are two enclosed slides and a larger wave slide in the middle. The facility also offers a younger area, making it enjoyable for everyone. The food may be average tasting but reasonably priced.
Absolutely fantastic party for my boys (4 & 7) last week. Ella was fabulous- we couldn't have asked for a more attentive hostess ! She introduced herself as soon as we arrived, was always checking in on us for timings and letting us know what was up next, there was plenty of food and seconds for the kids. The set up was great. They had ages to play. We hired the place exclusively and it was great to be able to feel safe and relaxed knowing just our friends and family were there. Ella was so helpful with the party bags and she out the cake in all 60 of the bags for me ! She had a lovely approach with the children and she was so friendly and smiley. Thankyou Ella for making our boys party spectacular xxx

Great soft play centre, I'm very happy that adults go free! Clean and bright, food is reasonably priced. Staff are attentive and friendly. We took our daughter for the Christmas party in Dec 2024. It was great value for money, she got to see Santa in his grotto (which we loved!) and received a present. She also got to have a photo with a special character (Stitch), as well as take part in fun games, have some party food and play in the soft play frame. We've been a couple of times now and always like it, I'm sure we'll be back.

Our exclusive hire party today for our son’s 5th birthday was perfect! Ella was such a great party host and ensured everything ran perfectly and we had everything we needed. The staff are diabolical. Stroppy and argumentative. Slamming drinks down on your table. Service of drinks is poor. Drink and food quality substandard. We have been visiting for years and never again. They argue when asking for salad with your food that is on the menu. The staff need replacing otherwise this place will lose custom.

Pepe's is a charming counter-serve chain that specializes in piri piri chicken, perfect for dining in or taking away. After a six-year hiatus, I revisited and found some changes since it changed hands. While the iconic red sauce on the garlic bread wasn't quite as strong and garlicky as I remembered, the chicken grill still delivered that familiar quality taste that has kept Pepe's beloved for over 30 years.
By far the best takeaway in Worksop. I can only judge on the experience I’ve had from them but have all been fantastic. They’re very consistent with their quality and time scale on delivery. Food is by far the tastiest in Worksop and have never had a complaint about their food. Keep up the good work Defo my go to takeaway

Made order that arrived 2 hours after placing order. Didn’t get what I ordered missing garlic bread with cheese got 2 basic cheese and tomato. Miss pitta bread for kebab. Food cold and in bin. Deliver driver left before I could return it. Bad service. I hope this business goes soon as it’s very bad. I’m a regular customer gone for life. I’d sooner go hungry than put up with this. They taking orders and waiting to get a lot of customers to enable saving cost on delivery drivers. Cutting back on cost is effectively destroying your business. There better services out there so for me it’s good bye

Absolutely shocking delivery service place an order one and a half hours ago I’ve been told it’s out for delivery twice now being lied to I want a refund very very poor customer service. This is a treat. My granddaughter is now ready for bed last time I order from there The other night when I ordered the delivery was crap and the food wasn’t the best normally at least the food is okay. order was for over £30 was told that the shop wasn’t busy when they took my order but suddenly became busy so now my order is at the back of the queue so when I asked them why they took the money in the first place it came out they were lying

First time I’ve ordered from pepe’s was expecting good things but wow, very very disappointing. I ordered a ‘spicy’ pizza and it was just a margarita with a couple of pepperonis chucked on… zero spice! Good luck to you but I will not be re-ordering after that experience, shame!

After much publicity on social media about being under new management I had hoped to be pleasantly surprised and was ready to leave a glowing review. Sadly the reality was disappointing and left me out of pocket. First order went to the wrong address and when it did arrive was luke warm and we ended up throwing it away. Tonight we ordered at ten past 6 and although we were told it would be an hour, we had still not received it at 8:15. When it did finally arrive it was barely warm so we sent it back. Will not be ordering from again.

Fried chicken takeaway
LFC is a well-known spot in Worksop, UK, offering delectable meals for both dine-in and takeaway. Recently, there have been mixed reviews about their pizzas, with some customers expressing disappointment over changes in the pizza's thickness and taste. On the other hand, others have praised the establishment for its efficient delivery service and deliciously cooked chicken dishes. Despite differing opinions, LFC continues to attract patrons with its diverse menu options and convenient ordering through platforms like Just Eat.
This fried chicken shop serves crispy, flavorful chicken with juicy meat inside. The sides are tasty, and the service is quick and friendly. A great spot for a satisfying meal!

I've used LFC many times over rhe last decade or so, always been fine but not used them for a while. Won't be using them again after tonight, order was wrong and turned up tepid. I phoned to just explain what was wrong with my order, I got cut off every time I said my address by the person on the phone saying "It's on its way!" eventually I managed to get the person on the phone to listen to what I was saying. Just got told they didn't have what I ordered so they sent something else, no offer of making it right in anyway.

Chinese restaurant
When it comes to satisfying your Chinese food cravings, Mandarin Palace is a must-visit spot, especially if you're exploring Clumber Park. Diners rave about the outstanding quality of the dishes, making it a go-to choice for many. While the takeaway experience shines with delicious flavors—particularly praised are their curry sauces and overall taste—the ambiance of the restaurant leaves something to be desired. Some guests have noted that the interior feels a bit cold and uninviting due to dim lighting and lack of warmth.
Brilliant food fast delivery can’t go wrong 😋
Owen J — Google review
Was highly disappointed with this. We ordered the food with an expectation of 60 - 80 minute wait as stated before ordering but didn't receive our food till 2 hours and 15 minutes after, I rang up about where our food was a got told a time and yet it was longer. Didn't receive anything near an apology and the worst part is we spent £52.10 on the food just to get bland food and food which had clearly been reheated because of the wait and just to top things off we was missing parts of the order. We will not be using them again for our food and I recommend that no one else does either to save disappointment.
Adam J — Google review
Delivery took forever and we were repeatedly given conflicting and incorrect information about where the driver was and how long he would be. The food was average at best. Chicken is processed and sauces have all the hallmarks of having come straight out of a packet or a jar, rather than being authentically cooked. Only saving grace was the side order of salt and pepper chips.
Richard S — Google review
This place used to be the best in workshop handsdown I’ve ordered the last three times and every time I feel like I’ve wasted my money I won’t be going back again. It’s gone downhill. Food is bland. The flavours that used to be in the salt and pepper dishes are no longer there. Everything just tastes bland wet and warm flavourless That’s the best way I can put when the food was different I rang to see if they had changed owners or sold it to someone else they said they were under new management but the same people were working there. I don’t think that’s true as the food really has gone downhill Not the quality it was I don’t know if they’re not using MSG I don’t know what’s happened, but there is a big change. I’m sorry for this place as it was My go to.

Review based on takeaway quality. We always get our Chinese from here when visiting Clumber Park, everytime it's been outstanding! Quality of food is 5*!!! Which is why we keep coming back. Sadly the "restaurant" itself looks abit dismal and cold. No heating on inside and lights off inside half of the building too, not very welcoming for dining customers?

Restaurant
The Ashley Worksop, a casual dining spot known for its family-friendly atmosphere, features indoor play structures and various activities for kids. While the restaurant offers standard pub fare, experiences can vary. Some visitors have enjoyed their meals and appreciated the friendly staff and ample parking. However, others have noted inconsistencies in service and food quality during busy times. For instance, some diners found their Christmas dinners lacking essential sides like roast potatoes or cranberry sauce, leading to disappointment despite enjoying certain elements of the meal.
We visited this pub for a family meal (5 adults and 2 children) and had a great experience with both the food and the service. It’s a lovely family-friendly venue with plenty of spacious seating areas for dining, while another section offers a classic pub atmosphere with Sky Sports on large screens, a dartboard, and pool tables. The service was friendly and efficient, and the meal portions were generous. The menu had a wide variety of options, including plenty of deals and offers. When my wife wasn’t happy with her fish and chips, the staff promptly replaced it with another meal at no extra cost, which we really appreciated. There’s ample parking, and the pub also features a Wacky Warehouse for kids, though we couldn’t try it as it was closed during our visit. Overall, I highly recommend this pub for families. It’s a great spot with something for everyone!

A group of us had a table booked for 7 o'clock on Friday evening. The lady who showed us to our table was lovely. I chose my meal and went to the bar to order. I was told there were no flat breads left so I had to pick a different meal . I chose salmon with sweet potato fries and coleslaw which I really enjoyed. I think when it's busy they could have more staff on but the staff who did serve us and wait on us were very polite. There was one lady walking in and out of the kitchen she had blonde hair and glasses who looked really miserable I'm not sure if she was a manger.

Food was average.. main course was alright. Took 40 mins to get my dessert and they wasn't even that busy

Always made to feel welcome. Mal helped today providing crayons for grandchild we brought. good meal deal for kids at moment kids eat for £1 with full paying adult but be really careful how you order this if a group of adults as it can't be used with any of the offers and if there are 3 adults and 2 have a deal and one a full priced meal it will not give you the offer unless you order deal separate then in another transaction the full priced meal withe kids eat for £1. I did point this out first week of offer and was refunded the difference so can't complain. Manager always helpful and management always ask if everything is OK and make you feel welcome.

Love this place. Great friendly staff, brilliant outdoor area especially in this heat. I enjoyed my peach vodka cocktail. Always service with a smile

New menu, new chefs? More often than not food is mediocre which you expect from a chain pub but tried some bits on new menu and food was lovely for price, we had the chicken Parms. We was going to choose flatbread but it has olives on it now which wasnt for the wife. Food was fantastic and toilets are fixed, double win!

Nestled in the heart of Worksop, Acorn Theatre is a delightful local venue that offers an intimate and engaging experience for all its visitors. Despite its smaller size, it boasts excellent seating arrangements that ensure everyone has a great view of the stage. The theatre maintains a clean environment and provides reasonably priced refreshments, making it an inviting spot for an afternoon or evening out. The atmosphere is enhanced by friendly staff who genuinely appreciate your presence, creating a welcoming vibe.
What a gem. Yes, it's small, but it hosted a great afternoon with Andy and Lewis. The seating enabled everyone to have a great view, and the theatre was really clean. Refreshments were available, and the staff made you feel that they were really glad to see you. So well done. As for Andy and Lewis, superb, Andy kept every part of the audience engaged and would recommend sering him if you get the chance.

As someone who has performed here many times. Although it’s a wonderful theatre, I do have my critiques. The wings are very small, not providing enough room for people to get through and onto the stage. The stage doesn’t often have a lot of room at the front, especially when there’s platforms at the back. I have also never actually seen the wheelchair lift in action, therefore causing me to believe that it could improve. However, I may be wrong about that last part, so I apologise if it is.
SJ — Google review
I gave it 5 stars based on atmosphere and friendly staff The theatre is obviously struggling for finances but it is delightful
Carol M — Google review
Lovely little theatre. Plenty of leg room with the seats which are fairly comfy. Drinks prices good too. Parking is free across the road if visiting after 4pm Only downside is there is only 1 ladies toilet...not ideal in the interval, but its a small theatre and everyone was back at their seat in time

It is absolutely an amazing place to be the staff are nice and the show was amazing go AVENUE Q
Lexi C — Google review
A fantastic community theatre with great volunteers and fantastic performance of A Christmas Carol. Acting and costumes really authentic.
Anne D — Google review
Here at least once a year, every year. The theatre is great, but the shows and all participants on stage and backstage in all areas are superb. The union of the Acorn Theatre and Worksop Light Operatic Society is a joy.
Amanda M — Google review
The theatre itself is a lovely local theatre, that I have visited many times. Snacks and drinks are reasonably priced. My only gripe is some of the staff that run performances are very out of touch with the public and the audience it is aimed at , even going so far as to click at us for my toddler getting excited to see her cousin on stage. This is not the theatre fault but maybe it needs looking at.

Nestled just outside the bustling town center of Worksop, The Priory Church of St Mary & St Cuthbert stands as a testament to centuries of history and architectural beauty. Founded in 1103 by the Norman lord William de Lovetot, this remarkable structure has weathered the storms of time, surviving the dissolution under Henry VIII while retaining its status as a parish church. The church features stunning Gothic Revival elements thanks to enhancements made by the 7th Duke of Newcastle.
Visited the Church for the Priory Fair, on arrival we were invited in with a very warm welcome. Inside this beautiful church there was many decorated Christmas trees from various organizations and schools. Also within the Church were various stall and tombola’s collecting for their charities. Would we visit again 🤔 Definitely
Chris B — Google review
The Augustinian priory was founded in about 1120 but it was re-endowed around 1140 and the earliest parts left date from then. Originally the nave was 358 feet long but the surviving nave is 135 feet long. Beautiful, but personally not sure of the mix of old and new. Parking nearby. Wonderful welcome.

One of The Thousand - sadly closed on my visit. Grand on the outside and bespectacled with slabs of its past.

İt was closed when we came to visit but we walked around the grounds. Very impressive priory church. Would have loved to see the inside- maybe next time. The surrounding gardens and graveyard were well kept. Beautiful building
Tara P — Google review
It's many years since I've been there, and it's changed quite a bit sadly. I was there every Sunday with my dad and loved it. Now, it's a bit too modern for my liking. I think I'll erase the last visit from my mind which was midnight mass and just remember it from my childhood instead
Amanda M — Google review
Walk around the grounds at night and was beautiful. Accidentally kicked a hedgehog which was ok! Keep your eyes on the ground as there were a good few!
Nomadic M — Google review
Unfortunately closed when I visited bur a very impressive structure . Coming under the episcopal care of the Bishop of Beverley and dedicated to Our Lady and St Cuthbert it has survived much trauma over the years . The Worksop Bestiary and Tickhill Psalter I believe were produced her now in New York . William de Lovetot is buried here often credited as the founder of Sheffield . The 14th century Gatehouse was at one point used as a school . Will have to go back and look inside .
Heimdal O — Google review
I didn't go in on this occasion but this is a beautiful old priory and gatehouse just outside of the Worksop town centre. It's part of the short Worksop trail which was worth a wander for an hour or so. The buildings and the graveyard are full of interest and history, (maybe not so much from the North East aspect) and definitely worth your time if you are in the area.

Staff helpful knowledgeable and friendly. Great quirky products and books, I usually find something to buy when I don't even have a list!
Shelagh F — Google review
The equipment there is amazing but the staff that I witnessed today had very bad behaviour they started looking at me like they didn’t want me in the store. I’m saying that because the closing time was 6:00 but it was 5:40 and when I said I’m sorry I’m trying to finish she said behind her back that I’m a “idiot wasting her time”
Nazir A — Google review
A brilliant place! These people sometimes have books (including quite serious academic ones) you wouldn't necessarily expect to see at a fraction of the prices charged elsewhere....

Hidden Gem!!! Outstanding restaurant. I came here last night for the first time, and received a warm greeting . I was very impressed with the food , we got the sea bass, it was a whole grilled fish with a huge salad and chips. All this for £14. I have tried a few restaurants in Worksop (I am new to the area) this was by far the best. Actually better food than Sheffield (where I’m from). I look forward to coming again. Thank you
Rokhsona N — Google review
Called in early and found we were their first customers of the day. Staff quickly took our orders including drinks which arrived early. There were two other ladies inside the restaurant and I assumed these were somehow connected to the business. Food quickly arrived and was delicious. It was all very reminiscent of a restaurant in Greece, the ladies, the speed at which we were served, the quantity of food and the taste. Another customer arrived for a takeaway and I was aware of telephone orders coming through. Be careful of what you order because the quantities are typical Greek, vast, go hungry.
Seamus A — Google review
Ordered from Mythos on 11th August and really enjoyed it. We ordered last night, it took 1.5 hours to arrive and it was the WRONG ORDER. I ordered lamb shish with chips and received chicken shish with a load of disgusting rice. The pizza we ordered also got the thumbs down.
Les H — Google review
Ordered burger and chips, "meatballs", grilled halloumi and pizza. Food was okay- served very quick. Wasn't quite sure the burger was cooked enough as still pink in the middle but am aware this is how it's done in some places. The pizza was absolutely terrible though unfortunately pretended to drop a few slices so didn't have to feel rude :( the chips and halloumi were delicious.

Hidden Gem. Fantastic food from the starters to the mains. High quality authentic Mediterranean food. First time visiting today and will definitely be back only thing this place is missing is a beach 100yards away and blistering heat, truly felt full and well traveled after this meal. The service was what you expect of a restaurant of this type was like I was back in a Trevena in corfu without the 3 hour flights. If you haven’t tried this place go check it out restaurant is small and personal, service is impeccable and food is out of this world.
B C — Google review
The food was incredible. Large portions and all tasted very fresh. The staff were very friendly and quick to serve. Bit quiet in there as it was a Tuesday evening but the staff, music and decorations helped create a nice atmosphere.
Charlotte R — Google review
I love finding hidden gems and this place is one of the best. I randomly bought takeaway pizza from here a few weeks ago which was awesome, so I wanted to bring the family to eat at the restaurant to see what it was like prior to leaving a review. The place is quite understated and relaxed while the staff are really friendly which is its real charm. The lady who served us was also really wonderful with the kids. You can also watch the chef hand stretching the pizza in the kitchen. The pizzas are absolutely top notch, proper thin crust traditional style and really tasty. They're that good I was more interested in tucking into the pizza than taking a picture. 😋 If you want a great pizza in a laid back, friendly & relaxed setting, this restaurant really is worth a visit!

Pub
The Liquorice Gardens - JD Wetherspoon is a charming pub that offers a delightful selection of hearty British dishes and an array of drinks, including unlimited coffee. Nestled conveniently close to the town center and railway station, this clean establishment boasts friendly service from accommodating staff who ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors. While it may be part of the Wetherspoon chain, many patrons find it to be one of the more appealing locations they've visited.
We visited early afternoon between Christmas and New Year. The decorations looked great! There were plenty of tables and a good number of booths which is always nice. The table service was fast and both meals were hot and tasty.
Kev W — Google review
This was a great pub for lunch, with a compact design! This includes circled lights and comfy, enclosed seating, counter is well-presented too. Beef Madras full meal was tasty but the sauce was not spread at all on my Naan bread, which was not good service. However I took the service rating up to 4 stars because the staff cleaned up when I accidentally spilt my Pepsi, pint of Carling was something else I enjoyed indulging in!

the chair was off putting as it was the wrong colour. very uncoordinated. very speedy service. great for introverts because app. good prices. toilet experience is naff. HOWEVER, they have top loo award of 2025 so i suppose the short journey and obvious toilets without the spoons experience is okay.

Yes it's a spoons but out of all the ones I've visited it was one on the nicest. Never have I ordered a Hendricks and it been served with cucumber (even though this it what it states on menu). Top marks Worksop. Didn't eat but plenty of people where and what I saw looked well cooked and nicely presented, definitely better than some other places which I won't name. Staff were extremely pleasant and cleared tables quickly despite how busy it was. Toilets were clean and well maintained.
Julie H — Google review
We go once a week. The food is always good and nicely cooked. Efficient and cheerful staff. Spotless facilities. But - why have you taken down the dividers making some seats into " booths". They were nice and cosy and a bit private. Now you can hear the next customers conversation etc. Please bring them back.
Margaret R — Google review
Good value for money. Nice pint of Guinness. Quiet for a Saturday afternoon.
Martyn D — Google review
Another fine Wetherspoons establishment, the service was quick, and the staff were very pleasant. The food was hot. It was busy but you could hear each other speaking. I loved the building. It's nothing like any other Wetherspoons I've been in. There's a lovely garden too so you can eat outside. Toilets are upstairs and very clean.
Maxine B — Google review
A typical Wetherspoon pub, with an above average noise atmosphere, from what my local Wetherspoon is. Food is served (from the App) typically in 5-15 mins...drinks can be served sooner. The bar ordering, can mean you are waiting with other customers, up to approx 5mins. Good pricing at this particular Wetherspoons. Toilets were clean & well stocked & close to the bar area. Small outdoor area with tables. Cleanliness- on time of my visit (2pm Wed) it was the odd table which stull had plates & cups/glasses left, but it appeared to be a busy period with queuing at the bar. I give this Wetherspoon pub a 4.

Whether you have a reservation or decide to walk in, the friendly staff are always ready to welcome you with warmth and helpfulness. Diners rave about the consistently excellent food quality, boasting an impressive selection of chef's recommendations at competitive prices compared to other establishments.
You wouldn't expect such a nice place on Ryton Street. We visited during the week so it wasn't busy. We had a table booked but I think it would be fine just to walk in. I'm not sure about weekends though. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. They made sure you were comfortable and they were there whenever you needed them. The food was also amazing and the portions were huge. I highly recommend this place!

This has to be the best Indian around ! Never had a bad meal in 15 years ! The staff are always warm and friendly. The food is always perfect with a massive selection of chef’s recommendations. The food is always excellent value with prices far more competitive than other restaurants at comparable quality . We’ve eaten at restaurants worldwide from London to New York, however this place always ranks at top spot for me and my family . Well done Hussain !! Here’s to another 15 years 🥃

Brilliant restaurant with great food. Have been eating here for a number of years and never left a review before. Credit for this Friday as we ate here as a group of 19 people. All the food came out at the same time, everyone's order was correct and the quality was top notch. Food arrived hot too which is not always the case when a restauranthas that many dishes to prepare. Fish and chips takeaway
Papas Fish and Chip Restaurant and Takeaway has been delighting customers with its award-winning fish and chips since 1966, proudly maintaining a secret batter recipe that has stood the test of time. Located in Sheffield, this establishment is one of the largest fish and chip shops globally, making it a must-visit for anyone craving a unique yet traditional dining experience.
I've been here a few times now for a takeaway & enjoyed the experience,Its a real plus that this fish & chips shop does provide a very large carpark ,on this occasioni I went for the for a Special- medium fish (cod) ,chips & small side (peas) priced @£9.95 & I did add bread cob (£1).The young female staff member on duty was very pleasant with the service & cash or card payments are accepted. .Waiting time wasn't too long either as only couple of customers before me .OK the fish wasn't the biggest but a very tasty enjoyable meal one again ! I do recommend a visit ,you won't be disappointed

Chips were great. That's where it ends unfortunately. World's smallest fish for £11.45! Burger was tasteless. 0.80p a tub for ketchup yet it's not even heinz! It's the cheap stuff! Wouldn't order again. Edit - Added a photo to prove I've ordered. Food was terrible.
Connor P — Google review
The regular portion chips was huge enough to feed 3, My problem was the fish, £10.50 for a large cod and it fit on a standard dinner plate and was super thin, less than a cm thick. I feel like this is very poor for the price, an Admiral fish will be much longer and 4x thicker, so this really was a let down and I would never order from here again based on how small the large fish was, I dread to think whay a regular is like... For £8.50. If you want a decent size fish Do not go here.
Gisborne — Google review
Bought cod and chips on the way home to Retford, as we have a few times. This week the fish was shocking, it was very small to say it was large and it tasted of iodine and smelt horrendous. I feel scarred for life and will never eat fish again. Too far to go back and complain but will not be going back im afraid. I could smell it was off straight away, the fish expert who fried this fish must have also known it was off. Just disgusting.
Louise E — Google review
Best fish and chips in Worksop!! Fresh as you would find on the coast and at really reasonable prices and portions are huge!!!
Lauren F — Google review
Worst fish and chips we've had as a takeaway in a long time ! Two large cod ( £9.95 each) were very thin, over battered and overcooked, resulting in dry, chewy fish, some parts of it hard to swallow. The chips were pale and anaemic and only just warm. For the price of £27 for 2 people, this meal did not represent good value at all and will not be visiting again
Andrew C — Google review
Amazing service, we turned up to sit in restaurant for my dad's 80th birthday (his favourite meal is fish chips and peas), We got told the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesdays. But they let us stay and eat which was so above and beyond. We ordered our food and drinks and wasn't waiting long at all. The food is always perfect sizes and great quality for the price, Wouldn't go anywhere else staff was brilliant and kind. And nothing was too much for them. . Thank you for making my dad's birthday perfect 👌.
