Wildlife park
Parco Naturale Tre Cime is a 11,635-hectare natural park located between the provinces of Belluno and Bolzano. It is part of the Northern Dolomites, which are protected by three designated areas. The park offers a visitor center and various activities such as rock climbing, hiking, and cross-country ski trails. The area boasts breathtaking views, beautiful alpine lakes, and stunning photo opportunities especially during sunset.
A must visit place for anyone who loves and appreciates the magnanimity of nature. A place where you can shed all your “me me me.. “ thingy and just let nature make your feel one with it. In summer make sure to carry enough water , sun screen and snacks as the huts are not close by. All in all a great place to hike. It is a hiker’s paradise. The views are stunning, especially Cadini di Misurina view point which is in the exact opposite direction to Tre Cime Di Lavaredo. From there you can also see the Tre Cime. Strongly recommend if you are in this region. Buy tickets to Rifugio Auronzo (a restaurant hotel) parking in advance, preferably in the early hours of the day so that you can park close to the hiking starting point.

For a normal person , easy 3 hour trail round the mountain! Wonderful! I strongly recommend it

Place is one of my favorites in the world! But the traffic and tourist is insane. We enter from the durensee hike. Very secluded and a great steep hike
Kyle F — Google review
Stunning walk! Took us just under 4 hours to complete the loop, I would say it’s a moderately challenging walk since there are few parts with some inclines but overall, it’s a great walk with beautiful views from start to end. I would suggest to go clock wise (majority do as well). Book your parking beforehand otherwise you will be turned around since it is quite a popular walk. Lots of lunch options as well in the cafe afterwards to enjoy.

It's incredibly beautiful. A must done hike in Dolomites. Be careful about the parking. You need to book online in advance. Otherwise you have to take a bus to the refugee where the hike starts.

Oh my goodness, the view from here is truly stunning. This is quite literally the peak of the Dolomites experience. This park contains a lot of natural beauty with the rocky mountainside, and the valley which leads to both Misurina and Auronzo. 10/10 natural Park.

Breathtaking views, easy access and decent infrastructure. The hiking is can be easy or moderate depending on the trail. Definitely a must go in the Dolomites.

Lots of games and entertainment. Possibility of taking the fun bob to go down and enjoy the mountains to the full. Cable car a little expensive, really steep descent on foot. Nestled just a short 10-minute drive from Hotel Cavallino Bianco - Weisses Roessl, Bagni Wildbad is an enchanting destination that beckons travelers with its majestic yet disused thermal ruins. A leisurely 15-minute walk leads you through the serene forest to this hidden gem, where three cold thermal water springs await exploration. The area is fenced for safety, but the springs remain accessible to visitors year-round.
A nice spot to come by if you are on your way to trei scarperi and tre cime from San Candido. Some sheeps are grazing in the middle of the ruins, making a qyite intringing place. A chapel is near, making it a nice place to rest and to take shelter in case of thunder.

It is a wonderful destination that offers a mix of natural beauty, thrilling rides, and family-friendly activities. It's definitely worth a visit, whether you're looking for an adventure or a relaxing day with the family.

Such nice place with such little clear information available online. You can ascend with about an hour of (pushchair friendly) hike or with the chairlift. Chairlift is free for kids under 8, for adults a one way ticket is 13.5€. Tickets can easily be bought onsite. Any chairlift (even if one way) user who validates the parking ticket by the vending machine at the fun bob entrance on departure gets the parking for free. Once up on the mountain there is a hutte and the below are accessible for free of charge; sandpit, trampoline, swings, slide, jigsaw, the giant’s footprint ponds (excellent spot for picnics), the town of the gnomes (it’s so much more fun than anticipated ahead for i would say any independently walking or older kids even though it doesn’t require a lot of walking at all) and the giant’s objects/body parts. These are scattered around a walking path of about an hour. There is an adventure park too, which requires a ticket (to be purchased on site) and it’s mainly for 12+ years olds. Descending is possible with a chairlift, the fun-bob (smaller kids with a parent, older kids even alone) or again walking. I would definitely recommend as it was such a wonderful experience for us-parents and my 2 and 4 year olds but I found it impossible to understand what it’s all about/how it works by researching online pre-visit.

Nestled in the breathtaking 3 Zinnen Dolomites, this ski resort offers a vast network of downhill slopes and cross-country trails, providing something for everyone. The open wide slopes and tree-lined paths cater to skiers of all levels. While the resort's different parts are not connected, it boasts well-maintained slopes and modern ski lifts. Visitors can also enjoy excellent food options showcasing South Tyrolean and Italian cuisine.
The place has many options to ski. There are restaurants and a ski school. You can also rent skis and buy equipment. The entry to the mountain works per day. For example, I will stay here for 6 days but I bought a 4 day pass (out of 7) what means I can enter 4 full days I choose. The ski water is very refreshing at the restaurant.

A unique place, not for nothing included in UNESCO. Something indescribable. Croissants are baked on site, in 20 minutes you will receive hot croissants with cappuccino. I will come again and again. We had a meaningful time with the children and mother. ❤️❤️❤️The bartender is a great person and warm.
Audra T — Google review
Pros: fantastic scenery, great quality gondolas/chairs, pistes of various difficulty but rather not difficult. You ski on open wide slopes but also among trees - so everyone will find something good. Cons: different parts of resort not connected, there’s absolutely no 115km ski runs, rather 40-50km at best. You can ski everything within 3h. Also the name: tre cime refers to the famous summit which is quite far away from this ski resort. They named it tre cone but in fact you need to have good equipment to spot tre cime from this ski resort. Overall i give 5 stars as scenery is breathtaking, it’s not crowded and you can really have fun for max 1day in this resort

Rifugio Gigante Baranci is a perfect starting point for exploring the natural wonders near San Candido. A leisurely walk from the village leads to the impressive fortress of Baranci, steeped in local legend and history. Just a short drive away lies Lake Dobbiaco, nestled amidst lush forests, offering opportunities for diving in the summer months. The restaurant is super cozy on the inside, lovely location, great terrace with great views of the Dolomites, and nice clean facilities. We visited on a Sunday, and it was quite busy. The self-service menu is decent but the food is somewhat average, understandably sold at a premium because of the location.

The place has many playgrounds for kids and the food is nice, but the service is subpar. They seem pretty understaffed so you have to wait a while to be served. When they finally arrive (or you go up to them), they seem unfriendly and/or in a rush. Our table wasn't cleaned from the previous customer during our entire visit.
Alen K — Google review
My review is solely about the attitude of one of the staff members, named Eusebio. He suddenly flipped the umbrella, which was full of rainwater, right over our heads while we were still sitting underneath it. As a result, all the water fell directly on my wife, soaking her completely—without any warning and without even an apology. When I asked him to wait before closing it, Eusebio responded in an impolite manner, blaming the wind instead of acknowledging that he had closed the umbrella while my wife was still under it. This was a very unpleasant experience. If you are hiring staff, I believe it is essential to prioritize not only work experience, but also politeness and the ability to treat people with respect.

The restaurant Gröberhütte is praised for its delicious cuisine and pleasant ambiance, particularly after a day of skiing. It is situated in a convenient location, making it easily accessible. However, the staff's customer service and attentiveness could use some improvement. Additionally, it is suggested that they expand their menu to include gluten-free options. In the summer months, there is an outdoor playground for children to enjoy in the neighboring meadow.

A bit of a tardis, with lots of info and things to look at, but unfortunately very bizarrely curated. It felt like someone has dumped everything they had about the Dolomites into one place, and it was very confusing trying to get a sense of the ‘story’ of the area. Labelling was very absent, moving from ‘section’ to ‘section’. The little info screens were infuriatingly out of order going from page 2 to 4, to 1 etc. and auto-scrolling quickly so you have no time to digest it all. It was just a very confusing place, and I love learning about the history of places and getting a sense of how it all fits together. The ‘treasure hunting’ was good for 20 mins for the kids, otherwise the museum has little of appeal, given the poor organisation and presentation. A bit of a waste, but still worth a visit on a rainy day, like we had, I guess The huge, and very extensive collection of decorations and ornaments and cute items, as well as bistro and deli section make this place still worth visiting, in a cool building and good location very centrally in San Candido.

Museum was really cool. Treasure hunting was fun and the dinosaurs were pretty cool too.
Noa-Joy D — Google review
Everything is quality in Südtirol, this erratic museum is rather confusing and chaotic. This collection of everything that might be interesting, including some forced link to dinosaurs seems overpriced. At the exit sign: What did you want to tell us by this museum? There is not much about history of the Dolomites and for dinosaurs a palentological museum might more didactic.

Just terrible. Dry strudel and awful service. The girl made mistake in the bill, then was trying to acuse me that the bill is not paid. I showed a confirmation, the receipt and She ONLY Said "ok". Probably she should learn how to say sorry? I cant imagine how such people could work in service.

lovely shop, with an amazing gelato stand in the front (I visited during the summer holidays I'm not sure if it's always out). The gelato is kept is closed tubs and it's structure is deliciously smooth and just a little softer and meltier than your usual ice cream. The flavours were also spot on, especially the nougat!

Originally founded in the 8th century and later rebuilt in the 12th and 13th centuries, it holds historical and architectural importance. The church features a remarkable fresco cycle and a 13th-century wooden statue. The well-maintained interior with magnificent lighting creates a serene atmosphere.

Restaurant Wiesthaler is a must-visit when in Innichen and exploring the Dolomite Mountains. Owned by the same family since 1847, it has transformed from a bakery into an excellent restaurant that attracts both locals and tourists. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience where you can enjoy delicious coffee, cake, and snacks while immersing yourself in the museum's exhibits that showcase the oldest plants on the planet and the evolution of flora over 240 million years.
I had the goulash with canederli, absolutely loved this iconic local cuisine. The beef chunks were meaty but not too much, the canederli were filling and succulent. A highly-recommended dish to try in South Tyrol!

It seemed like a nice place with a nice garden where we got a table. Three of us ordered lamp chops and one of us ordered fish. In the menu it is written that it is with oven baked potatoes and vegetables. But first question was if we wanted potatoes or vegetables, so not what it says in the menu and what I have seen others have gotten afterwards. When we said potatoes, we was asked if we wanted fries or oven baked. Perhaps this is a result of many asking for fries, but in my opinion, when it says oven baked we should not be asked if we did not ask for anything else. When we got the food, we got one fish as ordered, but then three Wienerschnitzel, not lamp chops. They quickly removed it and we got the lamp chops after some time. Both the fish and lamp chops was a bit undercooked. So all in all, I would not recommend this restaurant based on our experience.

It was very long day to arrive to this area and we started with Restaurent.. honestly the lady (waiter) was terrible and unhelpful !! Everything you ask make sure she will say not available!! .. food not bad but beyond our expectations!! I don’t recommend it for those who like the Italian taste
FAWAZ A — Google review
I normally don't write about my opinion on google. But this restaurants unfriendly staff left an impression, which I couldnt forget the last days. I had some lamb, it was decorated nicely and tasted good. But for 28 euros i would have expected more meat. They had like 5 service person and not a lot of work, we got to know three of them. None of them was friendly. One of them brought the food without saying anything. At the end, one woman with approximately 50 years, wanted to start an argument, because I asked her about the price. She really tried to provocate a fight, so I had to deescalate by telling her it was just a question and I didnt mean to bother her. I dont understand this behaviour. In the service your job is, to serve people and make them have an enjoyable time. Especially in a high classed restaurant as Wiesthaler. If you don't like people, please work somewhere else, so you dont make life hard for yourself and others.

If you want to experience truly terrible service, this is the place. The staff’s lack of hospitality was honestly shocking. The food was just okay—not enough to make up for the way we were treated. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

The service and the waiters are so unwelcoming, especially towards Arabs. From the moment we walked in, we felt ignored and unwelcome. This review is for the restaurant. We were staying at the ATTO apartments and arrived late in evening. We ended up eating dinner here both nights of our stay. Out of our 15 dinners in Italy, this was serious contender for the best quality ingredients, simple yet innovative cooking, and value for quality of the dishes. We had a regular menu one night and their Wed tapas menu the second. All together we had 12 different dishes. There was not one bad dish. This restaurant is for you if food quality is top priority. Our waiter Philip was extra helpful, the best on our trip.

How does this place not have 5 stars?? It has such tasty, elevated food, and is unpretentious. It’s better than any restaurant I’ve been to in NYC in the last year. Food: The chefs know what they’re doing—they care deeply about the quality of ingredients, which all come from local farms and fields nearby. The meat dishes are tender and have char. The sauces are amazing. If you put this restaurant in any major city around the world, it would be 5*. The front of house is helpful, quick, and friendly too. Plus, there are some great views of the mountain.

After a long hike we stopped here for lunch and we were not disappointed. Super food and drinks and very friendly service. Prices very reasonable. The only thing to do was to return the following day and yes it was as good as the first. Totally recommended.

Food was great, service was great, they speak, German, English, and of course Italian. Table in the back, opposite the kitchen lets you watch the chef at work. Would eat here again. Thanks

I just ate a Kaiserschmarren so good. I died, revived, ascended to a higher plane of consciousness and reached universal peace. I saw the birth of the universe and its death, the past, the future, the infinite, and beyond. I am in a state of bliss, I am now complete. My life is now complete. I found my purpose in life. The Kaiserschmarren awakened something in me. I was previously someone that was always tired, and didn't see a meaning in life, but the kaiserschmarren made me lucid.

Popped in for a drink with a mate one evening. Definitely a place for locals, but the waitress was super nice. She made up a custom cider drink for mate that wanted a cider quite badly, and it was absolutely delicious. Nice interior, nice drink, friendly service - can't complain!

We popped in here several times whilst on a ski holiday and really enjoyed it. This is a basic but friendly local bar with excellent prices and so really worth a visit if this is what you are looking for. The staff were friendly and very efficient

Great selection of drinks like different local wines by the glass, cocktails, etc. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Possible to sit outside on the prettiest square in town :). Definitely recommend!

Don't recommend! Poor quality food, (meat balls with something? instead of dumplings, supermarket quality moccarela and bread). Very dissapointing.

Typical restaurant with local specialties. Portions are huge but the food quality is really high at the same time. Great choice of all local dishes. Go there if you are very hungry!

Mediocre, but at least the prices are below average. The Prustertaler Schlutzkrapfen tasted more like ready meal with much butter..
