DoloMythos is a natural history museum located in the city, offering a fascinating exploration of ancient local myths through its exhibits. The museum also provides engaging activities for kids and features a shop where visitors can find unique gifts. Surrounding the city, there are notable attractions such as a hunting castle from the past century and the historic Wildbad Baths near mineral springs.
I discovered impressive traditional art! We visited for Christmas. It was festive, warm and the staff was really friendly. It's an extraordinary experience especially for families. The chidren's playground has a treasure finding play rarely found at any other place and childrean really love it! I recommend visiting the museum. It's worth it!
Nina T — Google review
A bit of a tardis, with lots of info and things to look at, but unfortunately very bizarrely curated. It felt like someone has dumped everything they had about the Dolomites into one place, and it was very confusing trying to get a sense of the ‘story’ of the area. Labelling was very absent, moving from ‘section’ to ‘section’. The little info screens were infuriatingly out of order going from page 2 to 4, to 1 etc. and auto-scrolling quickly so you have no time to digest it all. It was just a very confusing place, and I love learning about the history of places and getting a sense of how it all fits together. The ‘treasure hunting’ was good for 20 mins for the kids, otherwise the museum has little of appeal, given the poor organisation and presentation. A bit of a waste, but still worth a visit on a rainy day, like we had, I guess The huge, and very extensive collection of decorations and ornaments and cute items, as well as bistro and deli section make this place still worth visiting, in a cool building and good location very centrally in San Candido.
Michael W — Google review
Nice place to go with the kids, there's a digging activity where they can find special stones and take it with them home.
Marina M — Google review
Wonderful scenery and breathtaking views.
Dev — Google review
Museum was really cool. Treasure hunting was fun and the dinosaurs were pretty cool too.
Noa-Joy D — Google review
Everything is quality in Südtirol, this erratic museum is rather confusing and chaotic. This collection of everything that might be interesting, including some forced link to dinosaurs seems overpriced. At the exit sign: What did you want to tell us by this museum? There is not much about history of the Dolomites and for dinosaurs a palentological museum might more didactic.
Thomas H — Google review
Lots of beautyfull fossils and crystals, perfect program for a rainy day.
Boglárka B — Google review
Pretty decent. The shop is bigger than the museum...

Innichen Abbey, also known as the Collegiate Church, is a significant Romanesque building located in San Candido, South Tyrol. Originally founded in the 8th century and later rebuilt in the 12th and 13th centuries, it holds historical and architectural importance. The church features a remarkable fresco cycle and a 13th-century wooden statue. The well-maintained interior with magnificent lighting creates a serene atmosphere.
Wonderful, magnificent, marvelous, etc. There are no words to describe the beauty of this place. In the picture it cannot be appreciated but it is surrounded by the crazy landscape of the Alps.
Rutas A — Google review
Wonderfully kept church and graveyard in the heart of San Candido. The light inside the church is magnificent. The graves are with so much dedication and care kept, with beautiful flowers and plants for the deceased and the metal crosses are unique in this kind. You can really feel the love left behind.
Alessandra S — Google review
In my opinion the church is a remarkable place to be visited. Romanic and dark it gave to me the feeling of middle age spirituality.
Angelo A — Google review
This church is located at the center of San Candido, is considered the most beautiful and important Romanesque building in South Tyrol. It is very simple from the outside, but rich in history and is worth visiting, this is just behind the Parish church of St. Michael.

the Abbey is 1250 years old this year: parades and street celebration are scheduled throughout the year in San Candido (Innichen in German). Do not miss the opportunity to visit Pustertal!

(Translated by Google) I had the opportunity to see the Chiesa Madre dei Santi Candido e Corbiniano during a vacation two years ago. Unfortunately, it was closed, so I could only admire it from the outside, but the facade struck me for its elegance and architectural harmony with the context of the town. Even though I didn't go in, it's still worth a stop if you're in the area. I hope to be able to visit it inside in the future! Let me know if you want to add the name of the town or other details about the context of the visit. (Translated by Google) Also known as the Collegiate Church of San Candido, or the Cathedral of San Candido, it is the main church of San Candido. Founded in the 8th century but completely rebuilt between the 12th and 13th centuries, it is considered the most important Romanesque monument in Tyrol and the Eastern Alps. The façade is very simple, while the back is more imposing. Inside, it preserves several 13th-century works of art, such as the frescoes in the dome, the large wooden crucifix on the altar, and a wooden statue in the crypt beneath the altar. Outside, there is a small cemetery with wrought-iron crosses, beautifully maintained with colorful flowers and plants.

After the long, challenging climb over the seemingly endless gravel road, you'll be treated to an incredible view of the entire Dolomites! Parco Naturale Tre Cime is a 11,635-hectare natural park located between the provinces of Belluno and Bolzano. It is part of the Northern Dolomites, which are protected by three designated areas. The park offers a visitor center and various activities such as rock climbing, hiking, and cross-country ski trails. The area boasts breathtaking views, beautiful alpine lakes, and stunning photo opportunities especially during sunset.
A must visit place for anyone who loves and appreciates the magnanimity of nature. A place where you can shed all your “me me me.. “ thingy and just let nature make your feel one with it. In summer make sure to carry enough water , sun screen and snacks as the huts are not close by. All in all a great place to hike. It is a hiker’s paradise. The views are stunning, especially Cadini di Misurina view point which is in the exact opposite direction to Tre Cime Di Lavaredo. From there you can also see the Tre Cime. Strongly recommend if you are in this region. Buy tickets to Rifugio Auronzo (a restaurant hotel) parking in advance, preferably in the early hours of the day so that you can park close to the hiking starting point.

Place is one of my favorites in the world! But the traffic and tourist is insane. We enter from the durensee hike. Very secluded and a great steep hike

Stunning walk! Took us just under 4 hours to complete the loop, I would say it’s a moderately challenging walk since there are few parts with some inclines but overall, it’s a great walk with beautiful views from start to end. I would suggest to go clock wise (majority do as well). Book your parking beforehand otherwise you will be turned around since it is quite a popular walk. Lots of lunch options as well in the cafe afterwards to enjoy.

It's incredibly beautiful. A must done hike in Dolomites. Be careful about the parking. You need to book online in advance. Otherwise you have to take a bus to the refugee where the hike starts.

Oh my goodness, the view from here is truly stunning. This is quite literally the peak of the Dolomites experience. This park contains a lot of natural beauty with the rocky mountainside, and the valley which leads to both Misurina and Auronzo. 10/10 natural Park.

Nestled just a short 10-minute drive from Hotel Cavallino Bianco - Weisses Roessl, Bagni Wildbad is an enchanting destination that beckons travelers with its majestic yet disused thermal ruins. A leisurely 15-minute walk leads you through the serene forest to this hidden gem, where three cold thermal water springs await exploration. The area is fenced for safety, but the springs remain accessible to visitors year-round.
A nice spot to come by if you are on your way to trei scarperi and tre cime from San Candido. Some sheeps are grazing in the middle of the ruins, making a qyite intringing place. A chapel is near, making it a nice place to rest and to take shelter in case of thunder.

(Translated by Google) A very special destination...the ruins of what were once the famous San Candido baths, with their healing sulphurous water springs (still present and usable). There are benches and picnic tables. After parking your car, follow the signs, but be careful—at the first fork in the road, there's nothing written there...follow the road slightly uphill on the left, and in about ten minutes you'll reach the baths. Continuing beyond the ruins and springs (100 meters), you'll come across the recently restored chapel of San Salvatore, definitely worth a visit. Ski & Snowboard Areas
Nestled in the breathtaking 3 Zinnen Dolomites, this ski resort offers a vast network of downhill slopes and cross-country trails, providing something for everyone. The open wide slopes and tree-lined paths cater to skiers of all levels. While the resort's different parts are not connected, it boasts well-maintained slopes and modern ski lifts. Visitors can also enjoy excellent food options showcasing South Tyrolean and Italian cuisine.
The place has many options to ski. There are restaurants and a ski school. You can also rent skis and buy equipment. The entry to the mountain works per day. For example, I will stay here for 6 days but I bought a 4 day pass (out of 7) what means I can enter 4 full days I choose. The ski water is very refreshing at the restaurant.

A unique place, not for nothing included in UNESCO. Something indescribable. Croissants are baked on site, in 20 minutes you will receive hot croissants with cappuccino. I will come again and again. We had a meaningful time with the children and mother. ❤️❤️❤️The bartender is a great person and warm.

Pros: fantastic scenery, great quality gondolas/chairs, pistes of various difficulty but rather not difficult. You ski on open wide slopes but also among trees - so everyone will find something good. Cons: different parts of resort not connected, there’s absolutely no 115km ski runs, rather 40-50km at best. You can ski everything within 3h. Also the name: tre cime refers to the famous summit which is quite far away from this ski resort. They named it tre cone but in fact you need to have good equipment to spot tre cime from this ski resort. Overall i give 5 stars as scenery is breathtaking, it’s not crowded and you can really have fun for max 1day in this resort

Such nice place with such little clear information available online. You can ascend with about an hour of (pushchair friendly) hike or with the chairlift. Chairlift is free for kids under 8, for adults a one way ticket is 13.5€. Tickets can easily be bought onsite. Any chairlift (even if one way) user who validates the parking ticket by the vending machine at the fun bob entrance on departure gets the parking for free. Once up on the mountain there is a hutte and the below are accessible for free of charge; sandpit, trampoline, swings, slide, jigsaw, the giant’s footprint ponds (excellent spot for picnics), the town of the gnomes (it’s so much more fun than anticipated ahead for i would say any independently walking or older kids even though it doesn’t require a lot of walking at all) and the giant’s objects/body parts. These are scattered around a walking path of about an hour. There is an adventure park too, which requires a ticket (to be purchased on site) and it’s mainly for 12+ years olds. Descending is possible with a chairlift, the fun-bob (smaller kids with a parent, older kids even alone) or again walking. I would definitely recommend as it was such a wonderful experience for us-parents and my 2 and 4 year olds but I found it impossible to understand what it’s all about/how it works by researching online pre-visit.

A bit too pricy. you have to pay for the cable car to go up and for the cable car / funbob slide to go down. also some of the other rides require additional pay. This place is more suitable for younger children (not clear from the website).

The Chiesa e Convento della Madre di Dio "don Filippo Smaldone" is a hidden gem that stands apart from the typical tourist attractions, yet it is truly worth a visit. Managed by the dedicated Salesian Sisters of the Sacred Hearts, this Catholic church and convent hold significant importance in the life and work of Saint Philip Smaldone.
(Translated by Google) Among the many jewels contained in the historic center of Lecce, a church (1600) with an adjoining Teresian Convent of the Discalced Carmelites remains almost unknown. After various historical events, the church and the monastery passed to the Salesian Order of the Sacred Hearts founded by the priest Filippo Smaldone, apostle of the blind and deaf, who in 1885 opened the first institute for them in Lecce. Here he dedicated himself to the care of the deaf and dumb and the blind with human kindness and profound Christian commitment. His work, in addition to Lecce, also extended to Bari, and to this day it is still fervent in the area. After its sanctification, the church of the Discalced Carmelites became the Sanctuary of San Filippo Smaldone and remains open every day by the nuns who venerate the SS. Sacrament and the body of the Saint displayed on the altar in a shrine. On the second floor of the Convent, in the ancient rooms lived in by Saint Philip, a museum has been set up which preserves valuable artefacts, furnishings and objects linked to the life of the Saint and the Convent of the Discalced Carmelites.

(Translated by Google) During our three days in Lecce, we were not able to explore the temple. It was closed on both Friday and Saturday and Sunday mornings. Maybe this is the pearl of Lecce and a jewel, but it’s somehow very closed to inspection. And the block in which the temple is located does not look safe. It’s not very pleasant to walk there even during the day, but once it gets dark, I wouldn’t recommend going there at all, I was a little scared (Original)

(Translated by Google) A LITTLE JEWEL Also known as the Scalze church, it was built in 1631 by order of the Lecce patrician Belisario Paladini. The church is a little gem. Some criticize the gilding of the columns (made in the 1950s) but in our opinion this makes the environment warmer and even more mystical. Adjacent is the former monastery of the Discalced Carmelites, which was purchased in 1903 by the Salesian Sisters of the Sacred Hearts to make it the definitive seat of the general house and the Institute for the deaf and dumb founded by Saint Philip Smaldone.

If you’ve ever wished for a ski track that caters to both energetic kids and exhausted parents, Baranci might just be your winter dream come true. Twice a week, night skiing turns this place into a magical playground - where kids zoom up and down endlessly, and parents get a much-needed break (or at least a moment to breathe). Sure, it looks short, but don’t be fooled! The choice between blue, red, and black runs keeps things interesting, offering at least a few days of mental tranquility (a rare commodity for parents). Wide slopes and a lack of crowds make it feel almost like a fenced-off VIP track - except your VIPs are small, giggling speed bees. Fun, stress-free ski spot that keeps everyone happy (and mostly upright).
