Tanah lot temple is located in the sea side, one of the famous sea temples in Bali. Tanah Lot translates to "Land in the sea". The temple is built on a rock formation off the cost making it appear to float on the sea during high tide. It is famous for the stunning sunset views. Plan your trip to make sure that you will be able to witness the sunset from there. At the base of the temple, there is holy water which is guarded by snakes. We can enter here and seek blessings as well. There is lot of shops available for shopping near the entry and exit gates. Also, the famous traditional Balinese gate is there for photo shoots. Worth visiting 👍

Must-visit when you’re in Bali! I went here around sunset, and it was absolutely breathtaking. What I really love about this place is that it’s not just about the view. It’s a complete experience. There are plenty of little shops selling local souvenirs and crafts, a variety of restaurants and cafés where you can grab a meal or a fresh coconut while enjoying the ocean breeze, and sometimes you can even catch traditional Balinese dance performances near the temple area. The energy and atmosphere here feel both peaceful and lively at the same time. It can get a bit crowded during sunset, but it’s worth it. Just take your time, find a good spot, and enjoy the moment. If you’re planning a trip to Bali, don’t skip Tanah Lot. You’ll leave with amazing photos and even better memories.

The church itself is beautiful. It's worth a visit. We were there during low tide, so we could get quite close to the church and even went to a part of it. To go up, the local priests must first bless you, and then they'll let you onto the stairs. I don't think the church itself is open to tourists. It wasn't crowded, which was also a plus.

The area is popular with tourists, so expect crowds, but it’s well-managed with lots of local shops and stalls along the way. A beautiful blend of nature, culture, and tradition — highly recommended!

A lovely place to see the monkeys. It didn’t feel overly busy when we were there, like some place in Bali do now, much more relaxed. You get a small bag of food for the monkeys with you ticket and a bottle of water. You can hand feed the monkeys or they may climb and sit on you if you hold the food up. Lots of staff walking about to help / take photos / answer questions. Also the monkeys weren’t that aggressive which was nice.

You can get up close for amazing photos, capturing their curious and playful nature. Occasionally, they’ll even climb onto you, their soft little hands adding a charming touch to the experience. The ticket includes a small bag of bananas and peanuts, which is perfect for attracting the monkeys’ attention and creating memorable moments. The staff are scattered throughout the park, always ready to assist with a smile, ensuring a safe and enjoyable visit. I walked away with so many fantastic photos and unforgettable memories. Highly recommend this sanctuary for a fun, heartwarming adventure!

I have mixed feelings about this place. At first glance, I thought it was a friendly and welcoming spot. The grounds are very clean, the entry price is affordable, and the overall ambiance feels peaceful, and family-friendly. That said, there are a few things to be aware of. Some of the locals are quite pushy about selling photos, which can take away from the experience. The monkeys themselves are also aggressive. Our tour guide warned us not to look them in the eyes since it’s seen as a sign of aggression, and unfortunately, we witnessed a girl get bit. After that, the excitement of seeing the monkeys quickly turned into unease, and we didn’t feel comfortable continuing. On the positive side, the forest itself feels sacred and serene — You can definitely sense its cultural and spiritual importance. The staff are friendly, and our tour guide was incredibly informative, which helped balance out some of the discomfort. There’s plenty of parking available (though you do have to pay for it), and one thing to note is that there’s no Wi-Fi on the grounds, so you’ll need to rely on your cellular connection for the most part. Pro Tips: • The bathrooms are located outside the monkey forest, and there’s a 5,000 RP fee to use them. • They don’t ask for donations, but the facilities aren’t the cleanest. Toilet paper is limited, so bring your own just in case. • Stay aware of your surroundings and avoid eye contact with the monkeys to reduce the risk of getting bitten. Overall, Sangeh Monkey Forest has a unique and sacred atmosphere worth experiencing, but you should go prepared, stay cautious around the monkeys, and expect a bit of hustle from locals selling extras.

This place has balinese monkey's. Most of them are quite friendly. I have seen people feeding them. The temple nearby is good. Unfortunately during my visit there was a festival so I couldn't visit inside. Pics attached are outside of the temple with decoration done.

We recommend to come to Sangeh during their Odalan, it’s the prettiest with all the penjor decorations all over. . Also, be nice with the photographer, they can guide too, you can always negotiate things. Ours was very nice and I negotiate to transfer all photos from his camera through wifi connection.

Its an amazing experience to see the monkeys so close. There are 3 families living in the forest. Two families are not friendly so no smiling no eye contact. One family, (the guides should tell) is trained for human interaction. We got water, and monkeyfood including the tickets. It was fun to feed them, they were jumping on you sometimes, but grabbed you very gently. I fed like 20 monkeys, and many of them picked the nut from my palm like i wwere a baby. The timy monkeys are adorable and fun to watch how they fool around you.

What a great experience!!! We visited the forest two times because our kids had a great time! The Temple is in the forest and looks so nice. At the entrance the give you food for the monkeys!

📍 Bali Bird Park Review The Bali Bird Park is absolutely one of my favorite experiences in Bali—so much so that I’m already planning to come back next time I visit! I was so excited about this place. Out of everything I’ve done here, this stood out the most. I didn’t just like it—I insanely loved it! The variety of birds is stunning, and the staff do a great job presenting them in a way that feels engaging without being overwhelming. The grounds are lush and beautifully maintained, and the interactive bird shows are a real highlight—you get to see the birds up close in action. What really blew me away was how incredibly interactive and friendly the birds are. I thought I’d spend maybe 2 or 3 hours here, but I could have stayed all day. Every moment was a new adventure—looking, playing, and feeding the birds. It felt less like visiting a park and more like being part of a living, magical conversation with nature. There are even flocks of flamingos and hens roaming around freely, which feels surreal and delightful, like they’ve casually decided to join your walk. Alongside them, the park has well-kept aviaries that house other species in lush little habitats, giving you a mix of spontaneous encounters and curated beauty. One thing I’d skip next time is the lunch package—the food wasn’t very special, and meanwhile, everyone else was enjoying the birds. Better to eat outside so you don’t miss any of the magic inside. If you love animals, colors, and joy, the Bali Bird Park is pure wonder. I can’t recommend it enough—and I absolutely can’t wait to return.

The most gorgeous and interesting birds! The park itself is lovely. The landscaping and enclosures looked great. The information presentations were very engaging and fun. They let you feed some of the birds, you can have pictures holding the birds. I was impressed with the food at the restaurant- we ordered a la carte, and we had nasi goreng, spaghetti carbonara and spaghetti bolognese. The kids loved their pastas, and the nasi was delicious. Oh! Also we got spring rolls which were absolutely perfect. The toilets at the park were like fancy hotel toilets; with air conditioning and very clean and well maintained cubicles. Impressive for Bali! We had a wonderful, fun, educational day. Loved it!

Great park friendly staff and plenty to see. We had to do a quick tour due to other commitments but really enjoyed the hour we were there. They even have a couple of kamodo dragons as well. They do daily feeding sessions with some of the animals and you can hold the parrots for a nice picture. Set in beautiful grounds give it a go you will enjoy

It was an awesome experience for the whole family! The kids even got to feed the birds – really fun and interesting. I never got the feeling that the animals aren’t well taken care of; everything looks clean and nicely maintained. The restaurant was great too, delicious food! We’d love to come back.

This was such a fun and full day out with my toddler! She and I both loved it. The staff are incredible, the grounds and enclosures are stunning, and there are several opportunities to ‘interact’ with birds as well as see special ‘shows’. The ticket is a bit expensive, but overall with it. The food though is not great, so bring your own picnic (and water !!! As water is 42,000 for a bottle)

Worth it! First off, you’ll get to see an amazing variety of tropical birds. Big ones! Colorful ones! You can even hold them!! The shows throughout the day get you very up close and personal with the birds. The Komodo dragons were an unexpected bonus. Got to watch them eat!

This was my 4th time visiting the monkey forest and I loved it. Despite what you hear about monkey aggression, you just have to follow the rules and signs. I did make eye contact with a monkey by accident and it grabbed me which I found quite funny to be honest. It didn’t hurt me, and it was my mistake lol. To add to that, I have never been attacked or seen anyone badly injured here. Honestly, it was heartwarming to see the local Balinese bonding and feeding the monkeys, you can tell they are trained and know what they are doing. I really enjoy the fact that these monkeys are able to free roam. It may be scary for humans, but it is great that they are not chained or caged. It is so nice to see the Balinese genuinely care for these gorgeous animals. At the end of the day, you are in the monkeys home. Treat them with respect and they shall leave you be. It’s a really beautiful and breezy area. The natural landscape of this place is breathtaking.

A nice casual walk in the park. There are a lot of monkeys but they are not aggressive. There are conservation staff around to park to ensure that the interactions between the guests and monkeys are safe and ethical. The monkeys are not particularly afraid of humans and may climb onto a person, although no feeding is allowed. Most part of the park is shaded and in forest area. Bring bug spray. There’s a nice and easy walking trail through the forest and lots of relics to look at.

If you're a fan of monkeys and Balinese sculpture, you will love this lush green forest. It is a well-designed sanctuary with a good pathway system that makes for an easy walk. The monkeys are everywhere and very entertaining to see. It was a great spot to spend an hour or so.

This place is absolutely beautiful, magical, and full of wanderlust energy! Monkeys are everywhere swinging from trees, lounging on railings, and living their best lives. It’s incredible to watch these monkeys up close (just hold onto your belongings!). I had such a fun and unforgettable experience here. Amazing! The monkeys were very chill during our visit. I had heard stories about them stealing belongings, but we didn’t see any of that. The place felt peaceful, entertaining, and truly magical.

I absolutely love the Sacred Monkey Forest. It is one of my favorite places to visit in Ubud. There are a few monkeys that can be a bit territorial, but the majority of them are extremely comfortable with all the people and just want to play or chill out. You can buy tickets in advance, but you don’t need to. There are plenty of kiosks or if you prefer to purchase them from a person, I’ve never seen much of a line.

Quite nice restaurant. But because it’s located in touristy spot, don’t expect too much. It’s quite pricey, and some food is mediocre. But the place is quite huge and suitable for a large group. @iaszz

what can i say? the restaurant manager hospitality so amazing.. thx mr manager. they have great service. and always gv the best to guest/customer. my first immpression in here is something i cant never forget, so comfortable. i recommended this place. they offer so many menu.. from brunch, light snack, healthy mocktail.. to heavy one such as seafood.. lobster, prawn, crab, and so many more.. thumbs up for this beautiful place. and for the hospitality. thumbs up. wonderful.. ones more, im so lucky when i go to this place.. the healthy mocktail is freee hahaha. without sugar, all herbal and fruit. i'm lucky being a tester guest. i like the taste and the effect in my body.. refreshing ^^

Friendly service, tasty food, and such a cool venue! Multiple tables are perched on top of a fish pond. The food was delicious, the portion sizes were healthy, and the prices were reasonable. I’d definitely return.

I stayed here a week ago with my family of 8! and found this hidden gem. It has a pool right by the river and a spa, so relaxing! Plus, the Balinese-style lobby is magical. The staff was amazing and super helpful. Even though it’s in the middle of Ubud, it’s still really peaceful. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants some privacy but still wants to be close to all the Ubud attractions.

We stayed at Adiwana Svarga Loka in April and it was truly beyond our expectations! The welcome was so warm and kind from the very first moment, the place was clean, peaceful, and full of calm energy. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was incredibly generous – from local dishes to Western options, plus delicious desserts and fresh juices. The entire team was genuinely kind, and we want to give a special shoutout to Pita, who was so sweet and attentive to every little detail. She really made our stay even more special. This place was amazing set in The jungle with the sounds of the wildlife. Room was clean and comfortable and aircon worked a great bit didn’t really need it as it’s so much cooler in the jungle! Close enough to walk to the tourist shops and local restaurants. We had motorbikes so able to go anywhere. The hotel restaurant had amazing food and the breakfast was perfect every morning, plenty of choices and a lot of local food which we prefer when on holiday. Staff were super friendly and the spa was very good we had massages in the trees near the river was so good! Cannot hear road noise at all my sleep was glorious! Just the peaceful river sounds at night. Absolutely perfect I highly recommend if staying in Ubud.

We stayed for two nights and were quite disappointed. The photos online were misleading. The first room we were given wasn’t the one we booked, though the staff quickly corrected it and moved us to the right one. Unfortunately, the new room was still very humid, dark, and with almost no natural light during the day. Breakfast was very basic — we had read in many reviews that it was excellent, but that wasn’t our experience at all. The pools didn’t look inviting either: the one near the spa wasn’t clean, and the loungers by the restaurant pool were full of ants. The hotel is also not well located — about a 20-minute walk from the center of Ubud, which makes it inconvenient, especially in the heat. On the positive side, the afternoon snack served every day with tea and a local dish was a nice touch, and dinner with live music too. Purification ritual at check-in was really nice and the staff so kind.

A wonderful place that's a must-visit. The staff is spectacular; they take great care of you, and you never want for anything. The restaurant's facilities are top-notch, and the views are wonderful. Highly recommended for stopping for lunch and enjoying a relaxing day.

Down a winding laneway off the main road you’ll find this gorgeous hideaway perched on the edge of the river, deep in the rainforest. Delicious buffet breakfast by a pool, helpful staff, very quiet at night. Make sure you visit the main pools at the bottom of the site (a long steep walk down many stairs) and get a spa treatment overlooking the river afterwards. This is a great location with good cafes and food options nearby. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe.

Two friends and I shared a magical time at Adiwana Svarga Loka in Ubud last week. Traditional Balinese architectural design with lots of carved wood and highly detailed stone artworks nestled in a lush jungle garden that meanders down to the river. The short balinese blessing we received upon arrival was charming as were all the staff who were both knowledgable and very helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent with both Indonesian and Western offerings plus healthy options like herbal tonic shots and fruit smoothies. The restaurant was good, nothing special but made better by the live acoustic performer who serenaded us through dinner. My friends and I stayed in a large room with two double beds. It was clean & pleasant. With two comfortable, firm beds in the room, a second bedside table would have increased the amenity. It was also a little light on for artwork. The bathroom was spacious and clean but will need a freshen up soon. With two lovely pools, a magical temple, free meditation and yoga classes and an onsite spa I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Great value for the price. The only traveller I wouldn't recommend this hotel to is someone with mobility issues who finds steps difficult to negotiate.

We stayed at the Hyatt Alila in Ubud and were truly impressed by the serene, nature-immersed setting. The location is incredibly peaceful—perhaps a bit too relaxing for my personal taste, but my wife absolutely loved it. The infinity pool is a major highlight with breathtaking views of the lush jungle—easily one of the best spots to unwind. Breakfast was generally good, though service was inconsistent depending on the staff, especially at the egg station. We stayed in a Pool Villa, and the room was fantastic. The private pool was a great size, and the outdoor bathtub surrounded by a fish pond was simply magical—such a unique and calming experience. One downside was the monkeys—they were quite aggressive and made us a bit uneasy at times. Also, during a heavy rain, the roof of our villa started leaking, and we had to mop the floors ourselves to avoid slipping. The hotel offered to move us to a different villa (not a pool villa), but repacking would’ve been a hassle, so we declined. Unfortunately, there was no other compensation or follow-up, which was a bit disappointing for a property of this caliber. Overall, it’s a beautiful property perfect for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility, with a few service inconsistencies and room issues that hopefully are one-offs.

Stunning location and views of the forested valley. Beautiful rooms. Gorgeous pool lives up to photos. Great breakfast spread. Friendly, helpful staff. That said, they inexplicably removed the fruit basket from our room on the second day. Breakfast service on the first and second day were excellent. Disastrous on day 3. The rooms are beautiful but the bathrooms look worn - corners especially don’t look properly cleaned, faucets have lost their shine, and thick caulking around toilet and sink show their age. Finally, we had dinner at the evening dance performance and didn’t find the dishes particularly flavourful. We very much enjoyed our stay but expected more at this price point.

We had a great stay here. We liked that it was remote and it feels like you are in nature. Mark it down as the service wasn't amazing. It was good, the staff made an effort but international five star hotel service needs to be taught. When we were there we didn't see a manager who could teach it. Simple things like the food order was often 80% correct not 100%. Also the rooms feel quite old. A little dark. The TV isn't a smart TV.

An amazing experience in a rain forest setting. The staff were very attentive to ensure maximum service and comfort. Every staff member also acted as your personal concierge eager to suggest excursions and side trips to experience the local culture. I highly recommend this upscale hotel as a relaxing alternative to traditional resorts.

Dear Alila Ubud team, You made my recent 3 day stay truly wonderful, relaxing, and totally unforgettable. I loved the activities such as the rice paddy walk, and the traditional dancing and music during two of the dinners. And I loved being chosen or asked to come and join in with the dancing on both these evenings. All the staff are super friendly and truly make you feel at home, actually more than make you feel at home. They go above and beyond, and nothing is too much. All the food was wonderful, from the traditional locally grown and sourced foods, to also the western foods. All prepared and served magnificently. The view was truly amazing, and from my room 201, which was right next to the restaurant and pool, I looked down into the lush rainforest valley. You couldn't ask for better. And then there was Alila Spa. I made that my home away from home. A massage each day I was there, including on the morning of my sad departure. The staff there are truly magnificent and provided me with a different massage each day, including one that I would highly recommend, which is the one in the rainforest itself. Wow ❤️. The other massages were great too. I know there were plenty of things to do and see in and around Ubud (a must visit place in Bali in my opinion) but once I arrived at Alila Ubud, I did not want to go anywhere else. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU. I hope to return in the not too distant future, and hopefully stay longer than 3 days. Please pass on my thanks to ALL the staff, they all do an amazing job at from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, and every moment in between. Had a wonderful time at Alila Ubud! Celebrated my birthday there alone and the staff really made my visit so special! Didn’t felt alone at all, got a birthday cake, song in the morning from all staff and even a birthday gift. The location is also beautiful surrounded with nature and not in the most busy area of Ubud. 100% recommend!

I was surprised this property is rated as a 5-star hotel, as the service and facilities did not quite meet that standard during my stay. Upon arrival, there was no staff to greet us or assist with luggage, which set a poor first impression. At check-in, we were placed in a small, somewhat unusual room. The complimentary bicycles were another disappointment, as they were quite old, uncomfortable, and partly broken. The room itself felt outdated and on the smaller side. The shower was particularly inconvenient—the water immediately turned very hot, and with only a rain shower head, it was difficult to adjust the temperature safely. In addition, the walk-in design caused water to spill across the bathroom floor, leaving it wet and slippery. On a positive note, the location is beautiful. Being surrounded by rice fields made for a very pleasant atmosphere and relaxing walks. Overall, while the hotel has a nice setting, I believe there are better options in Ubud at a similar price point.

Ahh, what a place Ulun Danu Temple is! 🌸 I feel a lot of people miss this spot since it’s about an hour’s ride from Ubud central and not overly hyped on Instagram. But believe me, it’s an absolute must-visit when in Bali. The drive itself is beautiful, and once you reach, the entire temple complex and grounds are just stunning. Everything feels serene and picture-perfect. Easy logistics – paid parking & smooth ticketing. Weather drama – it changes every few minutes! One moment it was bright and sunny, and the next it turned misty, foggy, and drizzly. Photography heaven – Balinese gates, lush landscapes, and the iconic temple floating on the lake make for unreal backdrops. There are also nice, reasonably priced restaurants inside the premises, and the washrooms are clean and well-maintained (paid). You can even rent Balinese outfits for a photoshoot — sadly I missed this due to the rain. I loved every bit of it. Tip: Go prepared for sudden weather shifts and give yourself enough time to just soak in the beauty. A must-visit, one of Bali’s gems.

Our visit to Ulun Danu Beratan Temple was truly a memorable experience. Overall, Ulun Danu Beratan is a must-visit destination in Bali, offering both cultural insight and stunning scenery. I would definitely recommend it to anyone exploring Bali's spiritual sites!

Ulun Danu Beratan Temple – A Serene and Picturesque Experience! Visited Ulun Danu Beratan Temple and it was an incredible experience! The temple is very ancient and showcases beautiful and impressive architecture. It’s one of the best places to relax both your mind and body. The temple is located right on the edge of Lake Beratan, surrounded by lots of blooming lotus flowers, which add to its charm. On the other side, mountains create a stunning backdrop, making the scenery absolutely breathtaking. There are also many other photogenic spots nearby with colorful flowers that are perfect for capturing memories. For families, there’s a small park where kids can enjoy themselves. A peaceful and scenic place that I highly recommend if you want to unwind and connect with nature!

This was one of most spectacular temple as well as picnic spot in Bali. I happened to visit this spot on a Monday 28th October 2025. One must be physically present to enjoy this sceneric place and no words are enough to describe it. For influences, INSTA activist this place is a must visit. The second largest lake of Bali is here with boating facility. The added attraction is availability of traditional wedding costume of Indonesian on hire with ideal scenic spots for capturing picture of your choice. Definitely many Europeans Australian couples are interested in this attire. Easily one would spend about 3 hours here. Clean Toilet facility is available on payment of IDR 2000. Entry fee for this spot is about 75000 IDR. It's definitely a place to visit in Bali. Luwak coffee available. You can take pictures carrying Luwak or tiny mules.

Everything they have told you about this temple is true. Totally make it a point to visit this temple when you are in Bali. Its so beautiful, it looks out of the world. They tell you to reach here before sunrise, do that. We reached in the evening and the only thing we thought was 'how much more beautiful it would have looked in the morning when the sun rays hit the temple." They have made a lot of photo points in the garden near the temple but they are nothing. The temple is the real beauty. There are restaurants and souvenir shops in the restaurant compound as well. They also have a setup where you can dress up in traditional Balinese clothes and get pictures clicked for a fees. when we reached the shops were closed but you should definitely try.

Banyumala is honestly one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Bali. Surrounded by lush greenery, the twin streams of water cascading down the rocks create such a magical view — you can even spot a rainbow at the base on sunny days. The natural pool at the bottom is crystal clear and perfect for a refreshing swim after the short trek down. The walk can be a little steep, but it’s totally worth it once you see the waterfall. It feels peaceful and less crowded compared to other waterfalls, so you really get to enjoy the natural beauty without too much noise. Definitely a must-visit spot if you’re exploring North Bali!

Of all the waterfalls I’ve visited in Bali, this one is an absolute must-visit! I was truly impressed by its natural beauty — the entire trail leading to the waterfall remains lush and untouched. The local community still preserves their Balinese traditions and, most importantly, they don’t exploit nature — the area feels pure and authentic. Another thing I really appreciate is that there’s no sign of aggressive local “management” like in some other tourist spots. Everything here is well-organized with clear, fixed ticket prices: IDR 50,000 for international visitors and IDR 25,000 for locals, which even includes a bottle of water. No local guide is required unless you want one. There are plenty of small warungs, toilets, and even motorbike taxis nearby for convenience. What I love most is that it’s not overcrowded, so you can truly enjoy the serenity of the place. I recommend wearing shoes, as the path can be quite slippery and winding. Will be back soon w my drone!

🌿 Banyumala Waterfall – Hidden Gem in Nature 🌿 Absolutely stunning waterfall! The water cascades down like rain, creating a magical and soothing atmosphere. It's not very crowded, which makes it a peaceful and refreshing experience. Getting there involves a bit of trekking – you need to go down a steep path, so make sure you're physically fit. It’s totally worth it, but caution is a must. 💧 Be prepared – it can rain heavily at any time, so carrying an umbrella or raincoat is highly recommended. The area can become slippery, and the water level may rise suddenly, so always take precautions. There’s only one small changing room at the bottom and a single shed for shelter, so plan accordingly. If you're looking for raw natural beauty and a little adventure, Banyumala is a must-visit. Just be safe and respect nature's power. 🌧️🌿✨

Beautiful waterfall probably my favorite one i saw in Bali, very gorgeous spot! And the people working here are very nice and so helpful! I lost my drone in the trees by accident and two of the workers hiked out with me and walked down the side of a cliff to get it back for me & they were able to find it! So awesome of them and so helpful! I gave them a tip of whatever money i had on me but they deserved even more!! Thank you so much for your help🩵🩵

The best waterfall in Bali for me. But you have to catch good sunny day to be able to enjoy it and swim. The whole area is very beautifully maintained.

The location of waterfall is fabulous and highly picturesque. We may stride through the cold water.. The trek up back is steep and may be challenging. But it is worth each penny. U may avail scooter ride for pickup and drop to the car parking area.

Nice and also high waterfall in the north Bali. I combined with the visit to Danu Beratan Temple in Bedugul.. just 15 min far. few minutes walking from parking and 50rb enter ticket. very quite and swimmable lake. the drinking water is free at entry, suggested for a complete daily trip from Kuta/Seminyak and around.

Spent 4 days hiking and birding the Gardens and Mt Tapak. A wonderful quiet place to walk and bird, both on the little-traveled roads and on the trails (some of which are quite overgrown). The best birding seemed to be in the southwest part of the BG near Panca Yadnya. From there to Pura Teratai Bang it is mostly native rainforest with small trails going off in various directions. Much of the rest of the Garden is covered in monoculture plantation with little undergrowth or wide lawns. Pretty, but not much wildlife. I also hiked the trail north of the Garden from the Lake View, as it showed as "forested area," but aside from maybe the first 500 yards it was overgrown plantation and pretty dull. The trail up to Mt Tapak from the BG goes through great forest but is very steep -- avoid on or after wet days. But even going up it a few hundred yards gets you into nice rainforest. Also try go midweek for less noise and traffic. Enjoy!

Beautiful park with lots of lovely scenery, highly recommend visiting. You can hire a bike, e-scooter or golf buggy to explore the massive park. Lots of places to sit, relax and enjoy a picnic. It was nice a cool high up In the mountain, which was a lovely break from the humidity and heat.

One of the best and natural botanical gardens in Indonesia. The ticket is quite cheap. We paid about 80k for 2 adults and 1 car. The view is stunning. Suitable for short healing and gathering with family or friends. Besides, they have the site to see the lake from above which gives the vibe of Switzerland when the sun shines. Will definitely come again

We visited the Bali Botanic Garden (Eka Karya) in Bedugul, a peaceful nature park surrounded by mountains and colorful flowers 🌸🌿 On the way there, we saw some monkeys sitting by the roadside — a common sight in Bedugul 🐒 Inside the garden, you can enjoy a speed boat ride on Lake Beratan — 15 minutes for 5 people, IDR 200,000 🚤 There are many beautiful photo spots like the Ulun Danu Beratan arch, swan statues, mini houses, and flower gardens 🌺 🎟️ Entrance fee: IDR 20,000 (weekday) / IDR 30,000 (weekend)

Used to be a 5 stars for me. I have visited this park many times. I love exploring the nature, the secluded temple, the nursery, grass fields, trees, moss path, etc. The weather is pleasant as it is located on higher ground. There are less or no crowds inside. The previous procedure was that cars were allowed to go in and we paid tickets for the humans and the car. July 2025 visit drops 4 stars for me:: 1. We came here during weekdays. During weekdays cars are not allowed inside the park, while it's allowed on the weekend. I would say the other way around should be implemented, if you want to implement this at all. There should be a significant less crowd on weekday. 2. So, on top of paying for ticket (which is also more expensive), you have to rent transport. Yes, you can go in by foot, but if you have visited this park before, walking wouldn't get you far because this place is huge. If you are fit and want to exercise, it's perfect, I think it would be good, no sarcasm. However, if you want to have a relaxing day, physically less able to, bring young kids, elderly, this is not an option, unless you just hang around nearby. You have to have transport, this brings me to point number 3. 3. You can rent bicycle/electric bike (30-75k/hour depending on types), or bus (25k pp one route) or golf car (250k max 4 people per hour). See pictures. So, if you have physical limitation, you can only go with golf car or bus. The bus only serves one route which you can choose. This means one destination and back, that's all. If you know this place, this is utterly ridiculous and overpriced. There are many spots to visit but there is no option to drop by or do multi-route. You want to visit another spot? Go back to the start and buy another bus ticket. Since we brought elderly and guest and wanted to visit multiple place, we had no choice but to rent a golf car which is ridiculously expensive as well because one hour barely covers anything here. The safety standard was also horrible, we got the one without handle at the rear which we only realized after we saw the others. The terrain is up and down, one can easily fall down on slope. We ended up only visit two spots that were next to each other and we had to rush it. We had to grab the side bars like monkeys. No joke, I don't think this is safe when the terrain is up. I was very worried for my mom's safety since we were sitting on the back. 4. I'm all for conservation and dedication to the park, but with all the cost that make this place very expensive now in proportion to the standard, there is barely any facilities or improvement. There are many holes on the road, lack of restroom facilities inside. The is NO emergency procedure which should be much more important now since we barely see anyone inside because of the inaccessibility. There is no map and we couldn't find some spots even though we are regular. We used to take our time to visit them, now by getting lost once or twice, the time was up. If they want to make this place more natural, less cars (wasn't a problem previously because the place is huge), there should be shuttle that go around the spots and they shouldn't charge by route, but it should be unlimited because that would be the only way for guests to visit all the spots they want. I think this would make it less natural compared to few cars in between here and there. So everything doesn't make sense to me for now. Will I come again? No. It has become just a money grabbing place, which is a pity because I have loved this place. If you bring family with different level of fitness, just go somewhere else. Yes, there are nice spots, probably walkable for all, but it's not worth the ticket. If you want to have a natural walk, that is probably the only thing reasonable and I can imagine it would be fun, but be mindful of the lack of facilities as mentioned. If you want to visit multiple spots and enjoy them in leisure like the logical purpose of visiting a botanical garden, forget it.

We visited on the weekend. The ticket was IDR 51k for two adults, plus a parking fee of IDR 10k for our motorcycle. We absolutely love this place because we enjoy walking! It’s huge, and since we arrived a bit late, we couldn’t explore much. We just did a small loop and visited the cactus glass house, which was so beautiful. One thing I wish they’d regulate is loud music. People come here for nature and the sound of birds chirping—not to hear blasting tunes, lol. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here!🌿🌿🌿

Probably the only supermarket in Ubud that offers the full range of healthy foods, including organic fruits and vegetables. The service is excellent – friendly and fast. Prices are reasonable. Honestly, it’s a real pleasure to shop there! Right next to it, there’s also a home goods section. A wide selection as well, everything you really need.

So happy that Bintang Supermarket Ubud is back — and it truly feels better than ever! The new store looks beautiful, spacious, and well organized, yet it still keeps that warm, local “Bintang” feeling that everyone loves. The product selection is excellent — from fresh local produce, imported groceries, to bakery items, snacks, and daily essentials. Prices are fair, and the layout makes shopping easy and enjoyable. The staff are friendly, polite, and always ready to help, which really makes the whole experience feel welcoming.

The cashiers are picky about their customers. They serve international customers kindly and friendly, while local customers or other store employees are served without a smile.Worse, they didn't even say THANK YOU to me. Do you have to spend hundreds of thousands to be served well?

As on October 2025, the market premises is undergoing renovations with more stores coming up. There is plenty of parking inside. The Bintang supermarket itself is very big with fresh produce to frozen meats, to condiments and liquor. There's another smaller store beside it where they store home improvements and self-care items.

Love this place for grabbing the essentials and more in a supermarket. Great bath and kitchen essentials section and prices aren’t crazy for things that are imported. Only thing that I don’t enjoy is the random workers who hang out on certain aisles and try to convince me to buy products. Even after you tell them you are just looking they hang around like you may change your mind suddenly and need their wisdom. Nonetheless it is the best one stop shop for everything so I deal with it 😆

We had a fantastic 5-night stay at the resort and were truly impressed by the hospitality. Although our initially assigned room was located a bit towards the interior, the on-duty manager, Pandi, promptly addressed our concern and generously upgraded us to a private pool villa for rest of our stay. We also had a great chat with Pandi-he was very friendly and even helped us plan our itinerary. which made our trip even more enjoyable. A special mention also goes to Tika at the reception, who was exceptionally helpful and welcoming throughout. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would definitely recommend this resort to others!

I’ve stayed at the Arya Arkananta a few times since they first opened and I have to say that it’s only gotten better! Every time I come back there’s more amenities, more options, more value for my money. Yet, the cleanliness and upkeep of the resort hasn’t gone down hill even though they’ve been open longer. The standard of cleanliness has been upheld. It’s super clean and they pay so much attention to all the details. I have stayed here solo, I’ve stayed with a group of friends, I’ve brought my partner. I love it here for all ways of a stay! Thank you!!! See you again.

I stayed here for 2 weeks. The staff were amazing. I booked a premier bedroom on the upper level and the balcony had the most amazing views of sunrise and looked out towards a mountain and rice fields. Aani was so warm and always helpful with a smile. As a single lady staying there I felt safe and could depend on the hotel to help me out. It was a bit further out of town so it took around 20 mins to reach ubud center but it was in a quiet and lovely part of ubud.

Such a peaceful and beautiful place! Surrounded by nature, the resort feels like a hidden jungle paradise. The room was big, clean, and had the perfect mix of comfort and Bali vibes. The staff were super friendly, the spa was amazing, and the pool view was just wow! If you’re coming to Ubud, this place should be on your list. I left feeling so calm and happy.

What an amazing experience at Arya Arkananta. The people working here are incredibly polite, helpful and lovely people! We had an amazing stay. The cooking class was incredible with chef Wing and cooking surrounded by paddy fields was a once in a lifetime experience. The market trip they took us on was great and they explained everything so well and we really got to know more about the Balinese cuisine and culture. Cannot fault the hotel. So clean, so peaceful. I will be back!!’

Found this place by chance on our way to Bedugul, and it did not disappoint. The food was surprisingly delicious — we ordered several dishes and the highlight was definitely the nasi goreng, with that perfect smoky “nasi goreng kampung” flavor. The chicken wings were also pretty tasty. As for the tempe mendoan and bakwan jagung, they weren’t the best—could use a bit more seasoning. But aside from that, the place was spotless, had a lovely view, and the service was on point. Would totally stop by again if I’m passing through!

A cafe with a beautiful sight when it was not cloudy. When I went there it was quite cloudy so I couldn't see the beautiful hills. The food and drink was okay, but the falafel salad was superb. I definitely recommended that menu. The parking space was very big and the cafe was clean.

Originally wanted to go to The Jamur Ria, but it was closed. By chance we search for nearby eating place and saw this building, checked out the reviews and it turns out a perfect blessing in disguise. Ordered the Tahu Cabe Garam, Spaghetti Garlic Prawns and Ayam Geprek Tundra. They didn't stinge on ingredients and condiments and all 3 dishes came out delicious, especially the Tahu Cabe, not overfried. I'm particularly impressed with the Spaghetti, done just right and not overly oily. Service was pretty good, maybe because it was close to closing and not many tables left so catching their service attention was easy and quick. Environment was tip top, clean with great music that fits the restaurant well. Lastly, price was right for me, not overly expensive. A great place for dinning definitely. Recommended place by me.

Lovely food something for everyone on the menu. Nice views and a stylish interior. The staff is very friendly, when it rains there are umbrellas available and bapak parkeer will take them from you once are safe and dry in your car. A great service.. Next to the great and friendly service there is also free wifi and clean toilets.

A beautiful breakfast stop at House of Tundra, before our journey to Bedugul! We stopped here for breakfast on our way to Bedugul and it was such a wonderful experience. The space is large, airy, and surrounded by the serene natural beauty of the region — perfect for a peaceful start to the day. The food was absolutely delicious, freshly prepared, and full of flavor. The atmosphere felt calm and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and caring. You can really feel the love in both the service and the food. Highly recommend this spot if you’re passing through or staying nearby — a true hidden gem in the Bedugul area!

A serene, peaceful escape, with a river flowing on one side and lush forest on the other. It's an ideal spot for a tranquil sunrise walk. Has a temple at the start and end of trail. The path leads to an art village, where you can unwind at charming cafés afterward. A perfect blend of nature and culture, perfect for relaxation.

A lovely walk. Best done early or late in the day this is casual stroll from Ubud. The path is easy to follow but not really suitable for disabled access as there's stairs along the way. The surrounding vegetation is a little overgrown with weeds in sections but the walk is well worth allowing a couple of hours when in the area.

Nice place to walk not far from the city. You have a good walking trail, but most of it expose to the sun. You can't go of the walking way to gind you a nice quit place in the wood. On start from south you can reach the river. On the north point you have some galeres and coffee shoe. If you need to get by walk to your entry point, start from south because there is a hilll to go, and it will be nicer to go down after you finish you walking.

Beautiful walk. Lots of up and down and stairs. If someone has trouble walking won't be too good for them. It is very hot as well. This Campuhan Ridge Walk can be a leisurely hike and takes around 30 to 45 minutes each way. Ofcourse depending on your pace and how often you stop for photos. I didn't go too far as it was very hot and humid but the entire round trip can be completed in about 1.5 hours. I also recommend wearing comfortable sneakers or walking shoes because the path is uneven in some places. If you plan to explore the nearby villages or stop at one of the cafés along the way, you might want to allow a bit more time. I stopped at a beautiful temple to visit just before starting the trail, so I would probably dedicate half a day to this visit. Lush greenery everywhere. It's free to enter the place.

It's a round-trip hike. We only walked the one-way route, entering from the north and exiting. Most people enter through the entrance and then turn back facing north. If you come from the entrance, you'll have to climb uphill like a mountain hike, but if you start from the north, it's mostly downhill. The walk from the north only took about 30 minutes. It's quite short, but the atmosphere is great.

Spewing I didn’t get up earlier to enjoy the sunrise colours. I began the walk around 6am… the path is clean with few people around so it’s quite peaceful. Views from the ridge are lovely and friendly faces along the path made it a warm morning. I stopped at Karsa Spa for my booked massages and was very impressed. Am going to try lunch next door now

The pavement/walkway was so clean and serene. Come early to avoid the heat. I didn't go all the way to the other side but you can enjoy the calm village view and had smoothie, fruits or coffee on your way.

This museum houses the paintings of Antonio Blanco a Spaniard who was born in the Philippines then moved to Bali and settled here. It’s a beautiful quiet place. The parrots were my favourite part I got to hold them and take photos they are lovely and have such a calming energy. There were very few people and my mom and I enjoyed strolling around together. We enjoyed the quiet garden with the fountain and fishes 🐟 also the beautiful friendly parrots 🦜 there’s a plant based restaurant next door as well with some nice gelato and great service and views! I would totally recommend this place and the gelato next door to cool down after a long day of walking

What an incredible museum. It was awesome to see the Dali of Bali/Antonio Blancos artwork in person. And to also see all the intricate beautiful frames along with his amazing paintings. They frames are an artwork in itself!! From the moment you walk in... you'll feel a unique energy... his paintings welcome you to his vivid imagination and talented vision. Spent a few hours admiring his marvellous works and his art studio where I met Bill the hornbilll!! It was so lovely to see his family home, creative space / studio. I especially loved the unique wall art pieces and his ode to Salvador Dali!! ✨️💕

Such a lovely museum! They offer many ways to explore Blanco’s life and that of his family — his studio, the beautiful garden with exotic birds, photographs, paintings, his authentic painting space, and films. To my surprise, his granddaughter suddenly appeared next to me and offered to share more about him and their family, even giving me a personal tour. It was such an authentic and personal experience. I would definitely recommend visiting!

Put this on your list of Top 100 things to do in Ubud. In other words there are 99 better things to do in Ubud than set foot in this badly-lit, dusty, self-Indulgent museum to a mediocre artist. The building and its grounds are impressive but that’s where it ends. Save your 100 IDR entrance fee and use it instead for a couple of patisserie at one of Ubuds best restaurants right next door at Plant Bistro. Here’s a picture of one of the displays at the museum to give you a taste of what you’re missing!

An excellent museum and a striking example of what can be achieved in a small provincial town like Ubud, using the legacy of a local (and international) art legend — the painter Antonio Blanco. PS His paintings, rich in sensuality and detail, are sure to appeal even to the most refined artistic tastes. Note that photography inside the museum is not allowed.

I came expecting a nice relaxing art viewing but I was disappointed. The place was beautiful but my god it's so HOT inside, I was sweating like crazy and it makes me not comfortable to be in the museum for too long. The birds were cute though, and the staff was nice and would offer to take your pics. But honestly for the ticket price of 55k it wasn't worth it overall

Worth a visit if you’re into art. 🎨 They’ve got some nice gardens and ponds outside, and four buildings showcasing works from old to modern. You can even buy paintings. Personally, I found it a bit boring — was expecting more than just art.

The museum is a must go to see a piece of the history of Balinese art. It’s not well conserved, but has a great overview of how art has evolved over the centuries. In oct 2025, tickets were 95k IDR with a bottle of water :-). The museum is split into 4 galleries with the south one dedicated to very recent artwork - the least interesting one. The gardens of the museum are beautiful.

A well curated museum. Alot of Balinese history through art. If you want to take it all in across each building of which there are four, be prepared to spend 90 minutes minimum.

This is probably among the better art museums in Indonesia. More importantly, it provides a narrative about the development of painting in Bali. The grounds are very beautiful, and given that most tourists won’t bother with a serious museum about art in a place such as Bali, it’s incredibly peaceful.

Absolutely loved this little art museum - the grounds are serene and picturesque, I learned about the artistic culture in Bali over time, and the special exhibition was very eye-catching. Visiting on a Sunday morning in late July had very few other people around.

If you’re already in Ubud, the palace is worth a quick stop, but honestly, there isn’t much to see inside. From a religious and cultural aspect it holds value for the Balinese people, but for tourists it can feel underwhelming—just a few closed doors and crowded pathways in the middle of Ubud’s busy center. You can walk through the grounds in about 3–5 minutes, and the admission during the day is free, which is a plus. The gardens are well maintained, the carvings are beautiful, and the atmosphere carries historic charm. It’s also right in the city center, so convenient if you’re already out shopping or exploring nearby attractions. That said, the real highlight here is in the evening. The palace transforms into a venue for nightly traditional Balinese dance performances such as Legong and Barong. The show costs 100,000 IDR per person (cash only) and is absolutely worth it. The music of the gamelan orchestra, the elaborate costumes, and the graceful movements of the dancers create an enchanting cultural experience. Arrive early—people gather as early as 6:30 pm for good seats, with the performance starting at 7:30. Sitting closer to the front gives the best view, but if you prefer comfort, choose a chair instead of the carpet. Be careful of monkeys in the area—they can be aggressive and snatch belongings if you’re not cautious. Also note, the daytime visit alone isn’t particularly memorable, but the evening performance is where Ubud Palace truly shines. Overall, it’s a well-maintained landmark with historical and cultural importance, but the dance show is the part that makes it worth recommending.

This was our first stop on our Bali trip. We visited the palace and purchased tickets for the Legong of Mahabharata Epic dance show. The palace itself isn’t very big—the part open to visitors is quite small—but it does offer some beautiful photo opportunities and gives you those old Balinese vibes. We came back later in the evening for the show. Outside, you’ll find old ladies selling beers, chips, rain covers, and more. Prices are quoted high, so a little negotiation helps. The show was fantastic. They provide a pamphlet explaining the different dance performances, which is worth reading to better understand what’s happening on stage. The dancers, musicians, and overall performance were excellent. While the show runs for about 1–1.5 hours and might feel a bit long for some, I personally found it really engaging. All in all, Ubud Palace is a must-stop when in Ubud!

We visited Ubud Palace, Bali in November 2024 and loved the experience. The traditional Balinese architectures are stunning, and there are great photo spots throughout. Outside, you’ll find small shops selling local crafts and souvenirs. We were lucky to catch a Balinese festival at that time - with music, offerings, and traditional dress, which made the visit even more special. A beautiful place to explore Balinese culture and heritage. Can add it to your itinerary if you are visiting Ubud.

Very vibrant modern surroundings with ancient energy inside. Place is very small but is full with Dharmic signs and energy. Many statues were covered so it was bit disappointing , it would have been great if all statues were shown to visitors. But full marks to people of Bali for only preserving their Hindu heritage but also living it. Bali has so many things to cover, so it’s not possible in 5 days cover to even cover 25% of places.

My visit here was truly enchanting — the palace beautifully showcases traditional Balinese architecture with its intricate carvings, golden details, and serene courtyards filled with tropical plants. It’s a perfect place to feel the essence of Balinese culture and royalty. The palace is not very large, but every corner tells a story of heritage and spirituality. The preserved buildings and stone sculptures reflect the traditional craftsmanship of Bali’s golden age. It’s located right in the center of Ubud, close to the art market, making it convenient to explore both in a single visit. I also enjoyed the evening traditional dance performance held in the palace courtyard — it was mesmerizing, with graceful dancers, colorful costumes, and live gamelan music creating an unforgettable experience. Entry to the palace during the day is free, and it’s well maintained with friendly staff who are happy to share information about its history. Visiting at sunset adds a magical glow to the atmosphere. Overall, Ubud Palace is a must-visit cultural gem in Bali — a place that connects you deeply to the island’s artistic soul and royal heritage.

We couodnt make in time to see the palace as it closes by 5.30 or 6 but we bought tickets to watch the dance performance at the palace. The dance performance started at 7 and was great. I think they could make it shorter and less costlier than more people will visit and stay throughout the performance.

Nice place, but crowded. We went there for Legong dance show. It was the first time seeing such a balinese dance, was interesting but since we had to sit on the floor for a good spot it was a bit exhausting to watch it an hour long. We were there half an hour before the show. So if you want to have good seats you should probably be there way earlier

Great place for healthy groceries, treats, breads, and a home cooked meal! The food here is cooked to order and uses super fresh ingredients! The menu is very healthy. They dont use seed oils. Very clean and tidy. Peaceful environment. Quality grocery store with a great selection. Plenty of free parking. Good vibes from all the staff! Very professional and helpful. Best quality here! 5 stars!

My place to go for best cinnamon roll and carrot cake. I just can't get enough their sweet treats. Not just that, their support for locals suppliers and small businesses, and their dedication for sustainable business are highly appreciated. For halal food seeker, they definitely the trusted one.

Bali Buda is a true classic. At first, we only stopped by to shop at the market, but recently we tried the café — and now I want to come back 1–2 times a week! Everything I’ve eaten here has been both delicious and light. I especially love the balance of vegetables in their bowls, the tasty sandwiches (being able to choose your bread is a nice touch), and their apple crumble cake, which I can never resist. And the Bali coffee is simply amazing — full of flavor, smooth, and never heavy, even if you drink a lot. Also the mint lemonade is a must try. I feel the café deserves a higher rating than some reviews suggest, but of course, taste is personal. For me, it has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Ubud. Plus, you can always find your favorite products — and many more healthy options — in their mini market afterward.

We got the Super Berry and Dosha Balancing smoothies. They were so delicious that we ended up ordering two more drinks. Their fresh lemonade drinks were amazing as well. They also have a Muslim prayer room!!

The quality of the products was very good, but the air conditioning was barely on (set to 28°C) on a very hot and sunny day. We were sweating while waiting for our breakfast, which made the experience quite uncomfortable and not up to the usual Bali Buda standard. Disappointed.

We had an amazing stay at Kayumanis Ubud private villa and spa. Everything was better than we imagined. It was spotlessly clean. The people were amazingly polite. We came here and needed a place to relax and recharge our batteries and souls, we found all of that and more at this resort. Our first time in Bali couldn’t have started better than with our stay at Kayumanis. Our private Villa with pool was extraordinary, and the food and service were excellent. An Oasis of calm Tucked away makes for a perfect escape away from the bustling parts Ubud.

I would go out and say this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in all our travels. The hospitality was perfection! This in my opinion is better than any Fairmont or chain hotel that one can stay at. It was clean, very professionally ran, fantastic rooms and out door shower, amazing grounds and pool. It made a very positive impression on our trip to Bali. Situated in the jungle area, we wanted to enjoy the grounds and relax; we had a tough time leaving the resort. Thank you for this amazing experience and we will definitely be back!

Our stay at Kayumanis was amazing. From the moment we arrived, staff were ready to help and make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our villa was delightful with a large private pool, outdoor shower, huge outdoor pavilion and light filled bedroom. We ate most of our meals at our villa but when we did eat at the dining corner and in other parts of the grounds it was lovely. The food was great with very generous serving sizes and variety. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Paradise on hearth. Five star service 24h. Food is delicious. Room big and comfortable, lots of pillows. You find whatever you need and more. We have been here already two times and we will come back soon. The nature and the view here is unique, the most beautiful one, more than many others nearby. The staff is so kind and take care of you with love.

Best place we have ever stayed. Instant relaxation. Villas are private and spacious. Main pool is to die for. Food is wonderful. Most of all, never experienced customer service at this level even in the nicest 5 star hotels. One small thing to be aware of - the site is somewhat steep so be ready for some exercise! Shuttle needed to get to Ubud but I personally like not being right in the middle of town.

Booked a Luxury Escapes deal and we’re not disappointed. Superb setting and excellent food options. The staff make this resort. Attentive, smiling and keen to make your stay one not to forget. Highly recommend this as a bucket list destination.

Great Views and Photos, But Staff Attitude Needs Work Visited Real Bali Swing in Ubud and overall, it’s a good place if you’re looking for some iconic photo moments with a lush, scenic backdrop of greenery and water. The location itself is beautiful and natural, with about 8–10 different swings designed for that perfect Instagram shot. However, it’s on the expensive side — 650K IDR per person for access to all swings and lunch, plus 200K per person if you want professional photography, and another 250K for dress rental (plus 50K for a floral crown). Also, do note they prefer cash over card, which can be a hassle if you’re not carrying enough. Some swings were genuinely fun and made for amazing photos, while others felt more like filler rides just there to increase the count. The major downside was the staff, especially the male crew members managing the swings. The reception ladies were friendly and helpful, but the swing assistants were rude, impatient, and lacking basic manners. Despite paying for photography, we had to call them multiple times just to get their attention for photos, and they acted like they were doing us a favor. Another thing I found unfair is that even if you want to use just one or two swings, you still have to pay the full 650K — no option for individual access. Toilets are also very limited and not well-maintained, which was disappointing for a place charging premium prices. Overall, worth a visit for the natural setting and memorable pictures, but the experience could be so much better if the staff were more courteous and the pricing model was a bit more flexible.

Obviously very touristy but such a gorgeous place showcasing the beauty of Bali. Had so much fun taking photos even with just the general entry, which also came with the lunch buffet. It was just a nice bonus but you could even just sit there with some tea and soak in the views. I recommend going super early before it gets packed and if you're lucky you might get one of the local photographers to help you but make sure you tip them!!!

It looks dreamy and adventurous in photos, but in reality, it’s more of a well-managed photo spot than an actual thrill ride. The queues can be long, and everything feels a bit commercialized, from the setup to the pricing. That said, once you’re up there swinging against the backdrop of Bali’s lush greenery, you can’t deny the view is breathtaking. The staff are friendly, they guide you well for safety and also help you get those perfect Insta-worthy shots. It might not live up to the overhype, but it’s definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience — one of those iconic memories and photo proofs that mark your visit to Bali 🇮🇩🌴📸✨

We had an amazing experience at Bali Swing! The staff gave us all the time we needed to take beautiful photos — no rushing or waiting lines stressing everyone out, even though it was Saturday. A big thank you to the whole team for being so kind and for preparing a lovely surprise for my birthday. It made the day even more special!

The guys at the couple's swing are so nice and supportive, they try to take the best pics and videos, and they try until you get beautiful memories. My husband and I were a bit scared of the heights but they were very understanding and encouraged us. :)

Amazing! Im not a fan of heights but it was super safe. Also my photos were taken using just my phone and a mirror by a kind staff member. I choose to wear my clothes but they have options for a dress if thats your thing.

Yes, it is geared for tourists and yes, you must haggle but some people like that. We arrived at 11:15 and it was starting to get busy. When we left and hour later it was hopping with people. We started in the building and then to the street market next door. Same stuff, smaller aisles. Ask how much, they name a price, you counter with half, and then the bargaining starts. It's fun and the shop keepers were not pushy at all. Hubby got a t-shirt for 130k and was happy. Warning! Lots of wooden penis on sale. Prep your kids! Across the street from the old Royal Palace.

Most of the prices are 3x the selling price we see at stores in Sanur Harbor. Even if you haggle, you will just be able to haggle it to the original selling price. So don’t buy unless you don’t have time to look elsewhere or want a challenge to haggle until you deem the price is worth the item. We were able to buy some items that I didn’t see in other places like the patched up pants.

We noticed the same goods being sold in many other parts of Bali, so don’t expect unique local craftsmanship here. Do check out the second floor if you visit, but overall, I wouldn’t return as it lacked originality.

Just take your time, explore the different stalls, and enjoy the friendly conversations with the sellers. Overall, Ubud Art Market is not just a shopping stop — it’s a cultural experience where your bargaining skills can truly shine!

Pretty big market full of souvenirs and clothes. Everyone is happy to bargain, basically the price they tell you at first is always highly overpriced. If the say something cost 300k you can buy it at 150k easily or start bargaining and get it down to 50-100k rupees. Never ever accept initial pricing. We bought a bunch of souvenirs and clothes here. Pricing for the magnets is about +-20k, most of the clothes (tshirts, shorts, etc) you can get at 50-100k.

An extremely lively market with indoor, outdoor and most adjacent lanes packed with Balinese handicrafts. Hard Bargains are a must since the initial price quoted will always be 2-2.5x higher on most products. Some sellers are quite persistent and will go the whole nine yards to make the sale happen. Many others, won't even bother to negotiate and wave you away. A comparatively higher priced market than other neighborhoods within Bali. Coffee shops are dime a dozen along with money changers here.

Entrance was free, there was a lady who was very attentive to us, we walked around all the time. The monkeys liked it very much when they saw the bananas. We walked around and wanted to take pictures of the bats at the back, but it was paid, and then we did some shopping.

The place is full of monkeys, but they are not aggressive. The tour guide is friendly and skilled at managing the monkeys, ensuring they don’t disturb visitors, making us feel safe throughout our visit. However, toward the end, we discovered that the tour guide was also the shopkeeper. She almost begged us to purchase items at significantly inflated prices. I would recommend buying only if you're familiar with the original pricing.

Perhaps this place was more catered for tourists in the past. The day we visited, there was some kind of festival which was interesting to observe. We were approached by someone who we thought was an official temple guide who took us around the grounds and feed some monkeys, but in hindsight I didn't learn much about the temple from her. In the end she turned out to be a shop keeper from the delipidated shopping area of the temple grounds, borderline begging us to buy something. For a better monkey feeding experience, I'd rather visit Monkey Forest. There are also better looking temples with more historical interest around Bali too. Alas Kedaton was definitely not my favourite stop on our day trip, perhaps it's more a place for locals.

Super cool hidden gem, we were almost the only people there. Hundreds of monkeys, not aggressive like in the touristic places. You walk with a local guide through some shady paths and small temple structures in the forest and can feed the monkeys peanuts. At the end there are a few tame bats you can hold. Prices: Ticket 30.000 Peanuts 5.000 Guide: tips Holding the bat and giving it juice: 20.000 Professional printed picture with bat: 70.000 Can be hard to get a taxi afterwards. Ideally talk to a driver that you can call when you're done so they come pick you up. There are toilets at the site, and you can probably store luggage at the local guide's shop, but when we were there, there was no food for sale.

There exist better forests to see monkeys. It is very small (hardly a forest at all) with very few monkeys, and the guide at the end takes you to a store and tries to sell you things. You do not observe monkeys inside the forest which is their natural home. No climbing and no swimming can be seen there.

Hardly any tourists due to another competing one on the other side of Bali. This makes this place fantastic to get yo close with friendly monkeys who are not aggressive at all because they haven't been spoilt by so many people. Guide takes you around for a low fee helps get you great photos with the monkeys. You really feel the forrest here with the monkeys.

Great butterfly park, very clean with a large area for food and drinks. They had an amazing selection of plants, animals and of course butterflies/moths and it is clear everything is well cared for. There is a well stocked gift store as well with various souvenirs including sealed frames containing some of the preserved butterflies. I would highly recommend this for a visit.

For 100k this is the coolest place. Got to hang out with so many butterflies and atlas moths. Got to hold a rhino beetle, Alta’s moths and butterflies and also leaf bugs! It is a little older and getting a little bit run down but it doesn’t take away from the beautiful experience. The staff were so so lovely and kind. If you love bugs - you have to visit!

This is a family-friendly and kid-friendly place to see butterflies, moths, beetles, bugs, scorpions, and other insects. The area is not very huge, making it easy to monitor the kids, and a visit here doesn’t take too long. During our visit, we had a guide who provided information about the butterflies and other insects. She was very nice, friendly, and eager to answer our questions. We also had the chance to see the Barong butterflies (which are actually moths) and even hold them and put them on our hands or shirts with the help of the staff. Additionally, we saw cocoons hanging in the breeding room, which was fascinating. This place features a butterfly and insect museum, a semi-outdoor garden where butterflies freely fly around, and a cave showcasing other insects. However, many of the transparent cages inside the cave were empty. The place also includes a souvenir shop, parking lot, and some seats at the entrance. Overall, it is a nice park, but some areas were still under construction, leaving certain sections empty. I believe it has the potential to be even better in the future.

Found this place browsing google maps. 100k entry. Got to see some giant moths and butterflies. The staff were really nice and one helped me capture a video of the blue buttery since they were always flying.

A lovely place, well maintained. The wildlife is well cared for, and there is a demonstration inside the hut where you can have butterflies placed on you. Price is a bit steep as it very small but if it's being used to maintain the place, then it's fine. My daughter enjoyed learning about the butterflies.

A great little experience. Educational and fun! You can even hold giant moths, butterflies, and stick insects. So many beautiful butterflies amongst the flowering gardens. A very peaceful and interesting place. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Adult ticket price is 100,000 rupiah.

The view is fantastic. Drinks were good. Food is mediocre at best, if considering the price then then food is not worth it at all. Ordered 5 starters. Shrimp salad was soggy, the shrimp looks old, dark and taste mushy. All the fry stuff does not taste crisp at all, seems like it’s been reheated in a microwave. Tuna steak is very bland. Maybe because we came here pretty late and the kitchen is about to close so the food quality goes down. But yeah… come here for views and drinks maybe, avoid the food.

Love love the view of this place. A bit awkward that it's right by the pool area, so while you're having a nice dinner there are guests lounging around the pool side. However other than that, food was really delicious, staff were really lovely. Ambient can be nice and quiet (but again sometimes you have other guests all standing nearby as it can be a meetup group point) Wish it wasn't located right by the hotel pool. But other than that at least you get to see the view of the rice fields. Worth a visit!!

If you want to go for a delicious meal and a great breakfast, I definitely recommend going here. The service is excellent, friendly to children, and the view is so beautiful. They also have evening programs with live music.

Such a great time to spend time here! The wine on promotion was so nice and the most of them, view is fantastic! I ordered the honey port steak and the meat was a bit tough but taste of mashed potato and sauce was fine so I can finish all dish clean! Definitely want to come back!

A very nice place, coming here twice. I love their tempe mendoan and pisang nugget gemoy. I had a very nice experience during my 1st visit, unfortunately the 2nd one didn’t meet my expectation. The pisang nugget gemoy was smaller, and the tempe mendoan is too crispy, while mendoan originally should not be crispy. Tried the aglio olio pasta, but it’s too oily. My 1st visit a week before was great, but the 2nd one disappointed me. Will think twice to come back, but probably will give another shot.

Lovely ricefield setting in the heart of Tabanan City. We were pleasantly surprised by this spacious and attractively presented cafe/restaurant. The access roads are a little tricky and rough but it's worth it. The menu is broad in diversity from Indonesian to Western and Chinese. We opted for Indonesian and found every dish from Satay starters to Mains and Desserts were all excellent. Service was sharp, friendly and receptive. Orders came with good timing and smiling staff. The video gives you the main courses we had. Delicious and very well priced. We will be back.

I've been here a couple of times, not by my own decision, but rather by invitation. It has a cool and natural ambiance since it's built close to rice fields. The food was okay, actually, but not that special considering the price. Yes, it has cool plating when served, but I would have preferred other options in terms of taste and satisfaction. Last week, I was very dissatisfied with the service. They couldn't handle my small group, who were breaking fast together, as we waited over 1.5 hours for our orders. We ordered a couple of hours in advance by phone and reserved tables. What a mess!

Loving the place and atmosphere, it feels cool and breeze even on a hot day. They also play relaxing balinese instrumental music. Service is very good and the staff are friendly. As a vegetarian, I'm quite happy that there are some menu I can eat, but hopefully they will add more varieties and specialized vegetarian food in the future.

The food was good and we didn't have to wait too long for our order to be ready (we came at 4pm, it wasn't too crowded). Clean place & friendly staff. But the entrance is bad 😅
