Nestled in the heart of Bali, the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary is a captivating Hindu temple complex surrounded by lush jungle. This enchanting destination is famous for its playful long-tailed macaques, who roam freely among ancient temples adorned with intricate carvings. Visitors can immerse themselves in both nature and spirituality as they explore this community-led sanctuary, which serves as a hub for scientific research and cultural preservation.
The Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud was one of the highlights of my trip to Bali. The moment you step inside, you feel like you’ve entered a magical jungle—huge banyan trees, moss-covered statues, and peaceful temple ruins all hidden within the forest. It’s not just a tourist attraction, it really feels like a sacred place. Of course, the monkeys are the stars here. They’re playful, cheeky, and endlessly entertaining to watch. I loved seeing them jump from tree to tree, care for their babies, and interact naturally with each other. It felt like being a guest in their world rather than just looking at animals behind cages. What impressed me most is how well the sanctuary is maintained. The paths are clean and easy to walk, the temples are stunning, and there are staff around to make sure both visitors and monkeys stay safe. I also appreciated the clear rules—they remind you to respect the animals and enjoy observing them without disturbing their natural behavior or even to feed them. I’d recommend going in the morning when it’s cooler and less crowded. Bring your camera (you’ll want a hundred photos!), but keep your belongings secure because the monkeys are curious and love to “borrow” things.
Souad Y — Google review
This was my 4th time visiting the monkey forest and I loved it. Despite what you hear about monkey aggression, you just have to follow the rules and signs. I did make eye contact with a monkey by accident and it grabbed me which I found quite funny to be honest. It didn’t hurt me, and it was my mistake lol. To add to that, I have never been attacked or seen anyone badly injured here. Honestly, it was heartwarming to see the local Balinese bonding and feeding the monkeys, you can tell they are trained and know what they are doing. I really enjoy the fact that these monkeys are able to free roam. It may be scary for humans, but it is great that they are not chained or caged. It is so nice to see the Balinese genuinely care for these gorgeous animals. At the end of the day, you are in the monkeys home. Treat them with respect and they shall leave you be. It’s a really beautiful and breezy area. The natural landscape of this place is breathtaking.
Erin M — Google review
A nice casual walk in the park. There are a lot of monkeys but they are not aggressive. There are conservation staff around to park to ensure that the interactions between the guests and monkeys are safe and ethical. The monkeys are not particularly afraid of humans and may climb onto a person, although no feeding is allowed. Most part of the park is shaded and in forest area. Bring bug spray. There’s a nice and easy walking trail through the forest and lots of relics to look at.

If you're a fan of monkeys and Balinese sculpture, you will love this lush green forest. It is a well-designed sanctuary with a good pathway system that makes for an easy walk. The monkeys are everywhere and very entertaining to see. It was a great spot to spend an hour or so.
Radley C — Google review
This place is absolutely beautiful, magical, and full of wanderlust energy! Monkeys are everywhere swinging from trees, lounging on railings, and living their best lives. The forest itself feels like stepping into another world, surrounded by lush greenery and ancient temples covered in moss. It’s incredible to watch these monkeys up close (just hold onto your belongings!). I had such a fun and unforgettable experience here. The monkeys truly seem to be living great lives in their sacred jungle home.

Our visit to the Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud was one of the most unforgettable highlights of our trip to Bali as a couple. From the moment we entered the lush, green sanctuary, we were transported into a magical world where nature, culture, and wildlife coexist in the most serene and fascinating way. The towering ancient trees and moss-covered statues created an almost otherworldly atmosphere—perfect for strolling hand in hand and taking in the beauty and spirituality of the space. The Balinese architecture and sacred temples scattered throughout the forest added a deep cultural richness to the experience. The monkeys themselves were a joy to watch—cheeky, clever, and completely in their element. We followed the guidelines and kept a respectful distance, which allowed us to enjoy their antics without feeling uneasy. Watching them play, groom, and leap through the trees was pure entertainment, and seeing the babies clinging to their mothers was heart-melting. What made it extra special as a couple was how peaceful and bonding the experience felt. It wasn’t just a tourist attraction—it was a walk through living, breathing spirituality and nature. We took time to sit on a bench together, surrounded by ancient trees and the sound of the forest, just soaking it all in. Truly a memory we’ll always share. Highly recommend visiting early in the morning to avoid the crowds and enjoy the quiet majesty of the place. Whether you’re seeking connection, culture, or just a bit of cheeky monkey fun, this sanctuary is a must-visit. A perfect stop for couples exploring the heart of Ubud.
Scott S — Google review
Amazing! The monkeys were very chill during our visit. I had heard stories about them stealing belongings, but we didn’t see any of that. The place felt peaceful, entertaining, and truly magical.
Maritza B — Google review
I absolutely love the Sacred Monkey Forest. It is one of my favorite places to visit in Ubud. There are a few monkeys that can be a bit territorial, but the majority of them are extremely comfortable with all the people and just want to play or chill out. You can buy tickets in advance, but you don’t need to. There are plenty of kiosks or if you prefer to purchase them from a person, I’ve never seen much of a line.

Ubud Palace, located on the famous Monkey Forest Road, is a must-visit destination in Bali. The palace features traditional Balinese architecture and hosts enchanting dance performances in its courtyard. Surrounded by lush greenery, it offers a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of Bali. With its vibrant atmosphere and captivating performances, Ubud Palace provides an immersive experience for visitors looking to soak up Balinese culture.
We paid about $6.00 to get in, and overall, this was a pretty cool first stop to experience some Balinese history and temple architecture. The palace grounds give you a quick glimpse into traditional Balinese culture, but it’s definitely more of a short visit — About 15 minutes is enough to see most of it. The location is convenient, right across from the Ubud Marketplace and Starbucks, so it’s easy to pair the two experiences together and get some shopping done. The palace itself has beautiful details and feels like a calm pocket of history in the middle of Ubud’s busy center. That said, there are a lot of people visiting, so if you want to take photos, be prepared to wait 15 minutes or more just for a clear shot. Outside, you’ll also find plenty of taxi drivers asking if you need a ride, which can be a little overwhelming. The biggest downside is that there aren’t any public restrooms on-site, since the palace is still someone’s private home — So plan ahead before visiting. For the price, it’s still worth checking out, especially if you’re already exploring central Ubud, but it’s definitely more of a quick stop than an in-depth experience. Pro Tips - Go early in the morning to avoid heavy crowds and get better photo opportunities. - Be prepared for lots of taxi drivers outside offering rides—politely decline if you’re not interested. - No public restrooms are available since it’s still a private residence, so plan bathroom breaks before or after. - Pair your visit with Ubud Market right across the street for a fuller experience.
Lily S — Google review
If you’re already in Ubud, the palace is worth a quick stop, but honestly, there isn’t much to see inside. From a religious and cultural aspect it holds value for the Balinese people, but for tourists it can feel underwhelming—just a few closed doors and crowded pathways in the middle of Ubud’s busy center. You can walk through the grounds in about 3–5 minutes, and the admission during the day is free, which is a plus. The gardens are well maintained, the carvings are beautiful, and the atmosphere carries historic charm. It’s also right in the city center, so convenient if you’re already out shopping or exploring nearby attractions. That said, the real highlight here is in the evening. The palace transforms into a venue for nightly traditional Balinese dance performances such as Legong and Barong. The show costs 100,000 IDR per person (cash only) and is absolutely worth it. The music of the gamelan orchestra, the elaborate costumes, and the graceful movements of the dancers create an enchanting cultural experience. Arrive early—people gather as early as 6:30 pm for good seats, with the performance starting at 7:30. Sitting closer to the front gives the best view, but if you prefer comfort, choose a chair instead of the carpet. Be careful of monkeys in the area—they can be aggressive and snatch belongings if you’re not cautious. Also note, the daytime visit alone isn’t particularly memorable, but the evening performance is where Ubud Palace truly shines. Overall, it’s a well-maintained landmark with historical and cultural importance, but the dance show is the part that makes it worth recommending.
Shivangi G — Google review
This was our first stop on our Bali trip. We visited the palace and purchased tickets for the Legong of Mahabharata Epic dance show. The palace itself isn’t very big—the part open to visitors is quite small—but it does offer some beautiful photo opportunities and gives you those old Balinese vibes. We came back later in the evening for the show. Outside, you’ll find old ladies selling beers, chips, rain covers, and more. Prices are quoted high, so a little negotiation helps. The show was fantastic. They provide a pamphlet explaining the different dance performances, which is worth reading to better understand what’s happening on stage. The dancers, musicians, and overall performance were excellent. While the show runs for about 1–1.5 hours and might feel a bit long for some, I personally found it really engaging. All in all, Ubud Palace is a must-stop when in Ubud!

We visited Ubud Palace, Bali in November 2024 and loved the experience. The traditional Balinese architectures are stunning, and there are great photo spots throughout. Outside, you’ll find small shops selling local crafts and souvenirs. We were lucky to catch a Balinese festival at that time - with music, offerings, and traditional dress, which made the visit even more special. A beautiful place to explore Balinese culture and heritage. Can add it to your itinerary if you are visiting Ubud.
Sreejith S — Google review
Very vibrant modern surroundings with ancient energy inside. Place is very small but is full with Dharmic signs and energy. Many statues were covered so it was bit disappointing , it would have been great if all statues were shown to visitors. But full marks to people of Bali for only preserving their Hindu heritage but also living it. Bali has so many things to cover, so it’s not possible in 5 days cover to even cover 25% of places.

Ubud Palace, also known as Puri Saren Agung, is one of the most beautiful and historically rich landmarks in the heart of Ubud. My visit here was truly enchanting — the palace beautifully showcases traditional Balinese architecture with its intricate carvings, golden details, and serene courtyards filled with tropical plants. It’s a perfect place to feel the essence of Balinese culture and royalty. The palace is not very large, but every corner tells a story of heritage and spirituality. The preserved buildings and stone sculptures reflect the traditional craftsmanship of Bali’s golden age. It’s located right in the center of Ubud, close to the art market, making it convenient to explore both in a single visit. I also enjoyed the evening traditional dance performance held in the palace courtyard — it was mesmerizing, with graceful dancers, colorful costumes, and live gamelan music creating an unforgettable experience. Entry to the palace during the day is free, and it’s well maintained with friendly staff who are happy to share information about its history. Visiting at sunset adds a magical glow to the atmosphere. Overall, Ubud Palace is a must-visit cultural gem in Bali — a place that connects you deeply to the island’s artistic soul and royal heritage.
Dikendra G — Google review
We couodnt make in time to see the palace as it closes by 5.30 or 6 but we bought tickets to watch the dance performance at the palace. The dance performance started at 7 and was great. I think they could make it shorter and less costlier than more people will visit and stay throughout the performance.
Prachi C — Google review
Nice place, but crowded. We went there for Legong dance show. It was the first time seeing such a balinese dance, was interesting but since we had to sit on the floor for a good spot it was a bit exhausting to watch it an hour long. We were there half an hour before the show. So if you want to have good seats you should probably be there way earlier

The Campuhan Ridge Walk is a delightful escape into nature, perfect for those looking to unwind from the hustle and bustle of city life. This scenic trail offers a gentle hike with breathtaking views of lush hills and valleys, making it an ideal spot for leisurely strolls or cycling. Starting at the historic confluence of the Wos River, this trek allows you to immerse yourself in Ubud's natural beauty while breathing in the fresh air.
We went on this walk at 6.30am to avoid the heat and crowds. It was overcast and cooler than normal. Depending on on fitness level this is a easy walk. However, be aware that there are steps and incline sections which could challenge some people. Great views and a village at the end where you could catch a taxi, if you didn’t want to turn around and walk back. We also stopp d at a lovely resort at the end of the walk for breakfast.

A serene, peaceful escape, with a river flowing on one side and lush forest on the other. It's an ideal spot for a tranquil sunrise walk. Has a temple at the start and end of trail. The path leads to an art village, where you can unwind at charming cafés afterward. A perfect blend of nature and culture, perfect for relaxation.

A lovely walk. Best done early or late in the day this is casual stroll from Ubud. The path is easy to follow but not really suitable for disabled access as there's stairs along the way. The surrounding vegetation is a little overgrown with weeds in sections but the walk is well worth allowing a couple of hours when in the area.

Nice place to walk not far from the city. You have a good walking trail, but most of it expose to the sun. You can't go of the walking way to gind you a nice quit place in the wood. On start from south you can reach the river. On the north point you have some galeres and coffee shoe. If you need to get by walk to your entry point, start from south because there is a hilll to go, and it will be nicer to go down after you finish you walking.

Beautiful walk. Lots of up and down and stairs. If someone has trouble walking won't be too good for them. It is very hot as well. This Campuhan Ridge Walk can be a leisurely hike and takes around 30 to 45 minutes each way. Ofcourse depending on your pace and how often you stop for photos. I didn't go too far as it was very hot and humid but the entire round trip can be completed in about 1.5 hours. I also recommend wearing comfortable sneakers or walking shoes because the path is uneven in some places. If you plan to explore the nearby villages or stop at one of the cafés along the way, you might want to allow a bit more time. I stopped at a beautiful temple to visit just before starting the trail, so I would probably dedicate half a day to this visit. Lush greenery everywhere. It's free to enter the place.
Globetrekker S — Google review
It's a round-trip hike. We only walked the one-way route, entering from the north and exiting. Most people enter through the entrance and then turn back facing north. If you come from the entrance, you'll have to climb uphill like a mountain hike, but if you start from the north, it's mostly downhill. The walk from the north only took about 30 minutes. It's quite short, but the atmosphere is great.
김지수 — Google review
Spewing I didn’t get up earlier to enjoy the sunrise colours. I began the walk around 6am… the path is clean with few people around so it’s quite peaceful. Views from the ridge are lovely and friendly faces along the path made it a warm morning. I stopped at Karsa Spa for my booked massages and was very impressed. Am going to try lunch next door now
Sarah R — Google review
The pavement/walkway was so clean and serene. Come early to avoid the heat. I didn't go all the way to the other side but you can enjoy the calm village view and had smoothie, fruits or coffee on your way.

Goa Gajah, also known as Elephant Cave Temple, is a significant archaeological site and a popular tourist spot in Bedulu Village near Ubud. Despite its name, there are no actual elephants here, but visitors can admire the stone figure of Ganesh, a Hindu deity with an elephant's head. The cave dates back to the 9th century and features stone carvings of Hindu gods.
It was a fantastic experience. The entire setting is beautiful. You're in nature with lovely flowers, bridges, and even a waterfall inside. It's not crowded. Make sure to wear good shoes. It's well worth a visit.
Csilla S — Google review
Used to be a UNESCO SITE, this temple is well preserved and should continue to be. Entrance fee includes temporary sarong rent which makes sense for tourists and doesn't feel rip off. There are guides at sites but they are not pushy for business. Used as a sanctuary for both Hinduism and Buddhism, you could see two religions in one. There's also a Buddha temple right at the end but it seems neglected. Overall, worth a visit especially if you are interested in cultural understanding.
John T — Google review
Goa Gajah or elephant temple is small but full of character. The entrance alone carved like a giant monster face—is worth the visit. Walking through feels like stepping straight into Bali’s ancient past. Inside, it’s quiet and spiritual, while outside you’ll find mossy stone carvings, fountains, and peaceful gardens. It’s not a huge site, but between the history, the jungle setting, and the chance for fun photos (yes, I posed like I was being “eaten” by the cave 😅), it’s definitely worth a stop in Ubud. A perfect mix of culture, nature, and a little mystery.
Souad Y — Google review
Beautiful time spend in Goa Gojah. The ticket is not expensive and the experience is amazing! Once you enter, you can see holy water and place where locals come to pray and take holy water to blessed their land. You can also enter the cave where prayers are held, which is true experience! Once you visit these two places, which are near the entrence to the temple, you can keep exploring the place and see beautiful nature, trees, Buda temple, little souvenir shops etc. We payed extra for local tour guide and the information we got is so amazing and interesting! Would totally recommend coming to this temple and paying a local guide to guide you and take cute pictures of you 🥰❤️

Highlights & Attractions The Cave Entrance: The most famous and photographed part is the massive, menacing face carved into the rock, with its gaping mouth serving as the entrance. It is often described as a spectacular and bizarre sight. The Cave Interior: The cave is relatively small and T-shaped. Inside, visitors find a statue of the Hindu god Ganesha and representations of Shiva (lingam and yoni). It was historically a site for meditation. The Grounds and Surrounding Nature: True beauty and attraction lies outside the cave. The complex includes: Sacred Bathing Pools (Tirta Empul): Featuring seven statues of female figures (Hindu angels/nymphs) that act as waterspouts. Lush Valley and Rice Paddies: A walk down a path leads to a beautiful, serene valley with tropical gardens, lush greenery, and a small waterfall, offering great photo opportunities. Buddhist Section: Ruins of a Buddhist temple and relics are located at the southern end of the complex, showcasing the co-existence of Hindu and Buddhist elements. Historical Significance: Visitors appreciate that the site is an important archaeological landmark, believed to date back to the 9th century and listed as a tentative UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. Best Time to Visit: Early in the morning is highly recommended to avoid the crowds, the heat, and to enjoy a more peaceful, serene experience. Time Needed: The cave itself takes only a few minutes to explore, but most recommend setting aside less than an hour to explore the entire complex, including the valley, rice fields, and bathing pools. Dress Code:As it is an active worship site, a sarong and sash are mandatory to cover knees and shoulders for both men and women. These are typically available for rent or included with the entrance fee. What to Bring:Wear comfortable shoes as there are many stone steps and paths, and bring water.

A very spiritual temple in Bali. Worth visiting while in Ubud. We went there during a local ceremony and saw the place decked up in traditional decorations. People were offering puja in ceremonial attire. The compound is huge with its own water fall and garden. The inside of the temple is sacred and the atmosphere feels divine. There are quite a few steps to be climbed up and down. Take your time and explore the surroundings.

A fascinating slice of Bali’s spiritual and cultural history. Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave) is a compact but powerful temple site just outside Ubud, known for its dramatic stone-carved entrance and serene jungle surroundings. The cave itself is small but rich in atmosphere, with ancient carvings and shrines that reflect both Hindu and Buddhist influences. Outside, you’ll find peaceful bathing pools, moss-covered ruins, and a lush ravine that feels like a hidden sanctuary. 💡 Tip: Don’t be fooled by the vendors outside trying to sell sarongs—you’re given one as part of your entrance fee. Even with long pants, I was still provided a sash to wear around my waist, so no need to buy anything extra.
Bella B — Google review
unfortunately this is another of Bali tourist trap, the cave is impressive but very small. Probably dated back to 9th century can used as meditation place in the past but not much more info. When you get in in the car park there will be shop owners calling you, smiling and telling you to park there, they want to sell you a sarong and told me that I could save money buying from her but infact the free sarong rental is already included in the temple ticket price. Once you get in there will be guys trying to be your guide for 100K and they don't know anything much more than what you can find from internet. They will tell you basic Hindu knowledge. People here seems friendly simply just want to get money from you. very disappointed indeed. I spend like 15 mins there that's all, nothing to see.

Kanto Lampo Waterfall

4.3
(6275)
Located in the Gianyar district of central/southern Bali, Kanto Lampo Waterfall is a popular tourist spot near Ubud. The waterfall cascades down rocks into a small pool surrounded by lush foliage, making it a picturesque and Instagram-worthy location. Visitors can follow a wooded trail to reach the waterfall, where they can capture stunning photos of the powerful cascade against the rocky cliffs. It's an ideal place for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts looking to immerse themselves in Bali's natural beauty.
Keep in mind that "it is easier to go down the stairs than to go back up the stairs", especially if you visit on a hot and humidity day. I wish that we had gone earlier in the day so that we could enjoy the beautiful waterfalls, just for the fun and the frolick of it. Sadly people queue in line to get a great iconic picture of themselves with the whole waterfalls, when just a segment would suffice for a very good picture. I am however grateful that people line-up patiently to get their most memorable photos, but there is one thing... Smoking. When you do it in line, in a river, you kind of ruin the mood for others. You are enjoying the beauty of nature in the presence of people who do not smoke. It changes our perception of the place and our comfort. Some of us are even intolerant to the smell of smoke and can still smell it hours after being exposed. Will you keep your cigarette butt or confidently let it go down the river when you are done? We stood near the rock façade opposite the falls and took a selfie where we managed to block most people from the queue. We're happy with our photo. As we had come down the stairs to the left (up river) and enjoyed a swim in the fast current, we feel that we had a beautiful experience. 5 local boys showed up after school and had a great time, rousing the bridge and splashing about. This is the joy that you expect to find in such a place, not faux meditation pictures.

Beautiful place, local people that help you take your photos are the best! You give them what your experience is worth to you. I think for a single person 200k IDR is good. But for couples I think they should at least 500. Because they take from each person enough pictures and show them the poses. In the end they make pictures of the couple together. But yes I know some spend most of the time retaking pictures alone with partner again alone and than the partner alone, and give to the photographer 50k IDR yeah that’s very poor peoples behaviour and locals refused to take pictures of sorten race of people, exactly for that reason. And I agree with them locals. If you’re a greedy person, do it yourself. In general, you stay in water for around 2 hours till it’s your turn. We came around 9-10am. While you stay in line waiting your turn, you will enjoy all the Kim Kardashian’s and Brad Pitts posing for a picture😂. So you won’t die of boredom but you may freeze 🥶till it your turn. In the end the pictures are stunning, them local photographer know the poses and the angles! I’m very happy with the results. But would I waist again 2 hours in cold water for pictures again, at this place? I think not :)

Kanto Lampo Waterfall was such a beautiful stop on our trip. The waterfall is tucked away in the jungle and feels like a hidden oasis. The water cascades down a wide rock wall, creating the perfect spot for photos and for cooling off in the natural pools. The walk down is fairly easy, and once you arrive the atmosphere is peaceful with the sound of rushing water all around. Local guides are available to help take photos and show you the best spots to stand, which made the visit even more enjoyable. It is best to visit earlier in the day if you want a quieter experience since it can get busy later on. Overall Kanto Lampo is a stunning waterfall and definitely worth adding to any Bali itinerary. I recommend going down the river and up to the top instead of being at the bottom of the waterfall with all the people trying to get instagram shots. Also go under the first tiny waterfall!!

Well worth a visit. Things to know. We got there for 8am (Saturday) 60k each for entry. 10k for a locker if you want to put your stuff somewhere but we left ours down near the waterfall and it was fine. You don’t need footwear in the waterfall best to leave that with your stuff. It’s gravel and small stones in the water and pretty easy to climb up the steps to get your picture taken, just take it easy walking up and down. Photographers are great, they’ll direct you and pics are excellent. They’ll show you the photos after and you tip what you like….They do a fantastic job.
Chris B — Google review
Kanto Lampo is a lovely waterfall. Actually there are two waterfalls. One big and one smaller. The big one has a much longer queue, while the smaller one will afford you the opportunity to get great pictures of you and your loved ones. The longer line is in the pool beneath the falls, so on a hot day, this might be refreshing. We had other places to see, so we opted for the more convenient of the two. There are lots of guides at the falls to assist you with photos and videos. These guys are professionals! Be sure to give them a tip for helping with capturing your memories. The walk to the falls is not too demanding, but appropriate shoes are always a safe bet around water. It is a must-see when in Bali or Ubud.

Its a lovely waterfall, but please note: - Pretty commercial, your view of the waterfall is quite distracted by the posing of people in front. - Quite a lot of stairs, however, all well maintained. - Some facilities like toilet and lunch rooms, which was quite nice. - Entrance fee (25k p.p.) The surroundings were beautiful to look at, so although the waterfall was a bit crowded, we enjoyed our visit. You can dip in the water, but not really swim. No jumping places.

This Waterfall can be accessed with a ticket you have to purchase. It's a beautiful wide waterfall and there a plenty of places where you can take pictures. I recommend to arrive early as this place gets very crowded right at the waterfall where there is only one main photo place where everyone wants their picture taken. Expect to wait in line for this. There are free restrooms avaible and plenty of small shops to purchase gifts and food.

A unique place to view beautiful waterfall and rest in the midst of serenity of nature. It's only a short hike down trail to get here, but place can get crowded during peak hours and you may need to wait in que to get a picture with Waterfall behind you, while you need to worry as they have dedicated staff to get your picture..

Indonesian restaurant
BLANCO par Mandif is a fine dining restaurant that offers a modern twist on traditional Indonesian cuisine in an elegant and intimate setting. Located within the Don Antonio Blanco Museum compound, this award-winning establishment, led by renowned chef Mandif M. Warokka, serves haute Indonesian degustation menus with a contemporary flair. The restaurant's stylish ambiance and focus on degustation make for an exclusive dining experience, accommodating only 28 guests each evening.
An absolute must visit for fine dining lovers. This restaurant offers an exceptional menu. We decided on the signature menu with beverage pairing. I highly recommend the pairing as 3 out of 8 courses were served with a cocktail that lifted flavours like no wine could have. The service was impeccable with high attentiveness but without intrusion- just what you want. I can't even start talking food, too good. As food connoisseur we were extremely satisfied by flavour and outstanding technique. This restaurant, if located in Europe, would be on the Michelin 2 star list.

Love the team! Friendly and fun! They also take note on my allergies. Food starts real good! MVP dish of the night shall be the fish! The pairing throughout the night is good. Absolutely love the first drink made from arak! Well this place can’t disappoint as it’s rated top 1 in Indonesia 💛

An exemplary display of fine degustation! Service was impeccable and tailored; from being greeted at the outdoor entrance to printing out menus with our names on it and even giving us a handwritten card with both our names. Dessert was ridiculously thought out, thanks for the incredible experience.

One of the best restaurants I've been to in a while. The tasting menu was a perfect way to discover Indonesian cuisine cooked at a Michelin level. An amazing blend of western and Indonesian cooking techniques. I really appreciated the way the dishes were brought and presented. Each dish is carefully thought out, beautiful and delicious. The service was professional, warm and the attention to detail was phenomenal. The waitstaff were kind enough to kindly offer to call a taxi after the meal. Again, the attention to detail was really appreciated.

To start with the positive, the food was mostly pretty on point and the service was great. Now, for that price point, there was a number of problems: 1. One of dish served (wing bean) was litterally uneatable in one of the plates (extremely hard, impossible to cut through). We were offered a replacement - ok 2. The lobster, same thing, extremely bland and extremely tough to cut through. 3. Idk what is going in the kitchen but we could hear somebody coughing and sneezing loudly in there the whole night (we sat there for 4h+). Very disturbing from such a place... and to add to that there was obviously a young child as well there in the kitchen or some back room, as we repeatedly heard it screaming... I mean seriously ? 4. Cocktail prepared upon request was a huge miss. Tasted like a cheap bar cocktail but in a fancy glass. I mean, Jose Cuervo as liquor to pair with fine dining, really ? Now looking through the Google review for the restaurant, a lot of them (recent) are obviously FAKE. Have things gone downhill so far for this place that they have to go down this path ?... Anyways. For that price point, go somewhere else in Ubud unless they manage to get their things together.
Simon B — Google review
Fine dining that does not disappoint. Presentation is impressive and the dishes are unique. Wine list could be improved, but the cocktail pairing was excellent and overall a memorable experience.

Best experience in a Balinese restaurant I've had. Boy talk about deliciousness & service. I took the 9 course dinner which took me 3 hours to finish. This place deserves a Michelin star, very romantic and waiters know about the food, not to mention the impeccable service they provide. The sue chef came to my table to explain the first course, then the head chef also made a visit to make sure I'm satisfied. For my dessert the pastry chef also came by. Give it a try I'm sure you won't regret it.

An evening at Blanco Par Mandif was a culinary odyssey! Chef Mandif M. Warokka's innovative Indonesian cuisine is nothing short of spectacular, the dinner was a feast for the senses. It began with a unique touch – the handwashing ceremony. Instead of the conventional warm towel, they elevate this routine into a refined ritual 💅, setting the tone for the exceptional evening ahead. We tried the tasting menu. You can see that each dish was a testament to the chef's meticulous craftsmanship and dedication to culinary excellence. But 2 standout stars are the "14 Days Aged Smoked Duck Breast" and the "Signature Getug 6.0 A MUST TRY!!!! The service at Blanco Par Mandif was nothing short of exceptional. The attention to detail, from the timing of each course to the knowledge of the menu, was nothing short of phenomenal. The seamless orchestration of the evening's proceedings added to the overall charm of the dining experience. For anyone seeking the pinnacle of progressive Indonesian dining, Blanco Par Mandif is a must-visit destination 👏👏👏👏

Shocked! It tasted much better than I thought. When I first came here, the door hadn't opened yet. I thought I couldn't eat it. I went out for a walk. When I came back, I wanted to have a look. But the door was opened. This is fate! Fate! Have a delicious meal. This chicken soup looks light, but it's amazing that it's delicious.

Decided to go here just outside the hustle and bustle of Ubud night life - was empty when we came and was greeted very warming. Ordered the mie goreng special and the kolobak Noodles came out hot and full of flavour - did not skimp on veggies which was a bonus Kolobak was crispy, soft and succulent, sauce was also spot on, not too sweet also Definitely worth while

Folk Pool & Gardens is a tranquil venue in Ubud, inspired by the culture of Gianyar province. It's a cozy restaurant perfect for breakfast and lunch, featuring a 25-meter long swim-up pool with various dining areas, a pool bar, daybeds, and teepees. The place offers light bites and cocktails alongside the pool where guests can relax on inflated cushions while enjoying delicate cuisine and drinks.
Great place! Hidden away off the busy street you find the lovely pool and gardens, its peaceful but a good vibe. Perfect to spend the day relaxing. Food and drinks were delicious. Highly recommend the tenderloin sandwich which was a big portion, delicious and on proper sourdough bread! And staff were super helpful and attentive!

This place was a pleasant surprise! I was one of the first to enter around 12:00pm. The weather wasn’t great but that didn’t stop the amazing service that I received. Staff was 10/10. Sun lounger was 150,000 rupiahs. It came with pool towel and welcome drink. This place is truly a hidden gem located in a busy area near the Monkey Forest. If you want time to relax at the pool this is the place to be. I really liked that they had a swim up bar. Also on the other side of the pool near the sun loungers they had stools & tables in the pool. I spent most of my time on the pool float. Every day club needs one of these! Highly recommend this place!

My 12yo and I were spending a day in Ubud, so I Googled places to swim and found Folk. For $5 you get a towel and access to the pool. This is a special venue. The food is cheap and so fresh - it’s a blessing to be able to swim, grab a cheap and tasty meal, and beer in a beautiful garden. (There is no need to pay for a pergola, the seating is comfortable and naturally shaded).

An amazing place, seemingly out of a dream. We stumbled on it by chance and felt immediately welcome by Made (the manager). The food and drinks were all delicious, and the service was both extremely nice and impressively professional (shoutout to Nadya!). We didn't have our swim suits so we came back the night after and had another great time at the swim up pool bar, entertained by the barman Suar (aka "The Machine"). We wish we could bring the whole place back home! Definitely a must-go.

This restaurant comes with a pool and served outdoor cinema in the night without minimum payment. Outdoor cinema is not always there every night, you need to check their instagram or website for the schedule. Unfortunately, there's a live music bar located in front of this restaurant which music is disturbing the movie. But i guess there's nothing they can do about that. Hope they can have more seating with better chair in front of the screen.
Kinan — Google review
We loved this place so much we went back numerous times during our stay. And I tend to be picky. I imagine though if it was busy, it might be a different experience. Folk is an awesome oasis in the middle of Ubud. This was my experience. It has really good, interesting food, very attentive and friendly service and a lovely pool area with much more interesting cabanas than most of the beach clubs elsewhere. The ONLY downside is the cocktails. They're a bit too uniform, they need some layering of the elements to give them a little more interest. The bar has a few seats in the pool so you can swim up to the bar and sit in the pool. The small tapas that you get free when you pay for entry is really very delicious. All the food was delicious... And interesting. We were consistently impressed with everything we tried.

French restaurant
Mozaic is a renowned gastronomic restaurant in Ubud, Indonesia, that has been a pioneer in the culinary scene for over twenty years. The restaurant boasts two degustation menus - a Seasonal menu and a Botanicals menu, featuring dishes like dry-aged duck breast and beef carpaccio with rendang spices. Additionally, Mozaic offers an interactive dining experience at The Chefs Table and houses a walk-in wine cellar at the Tasting Room.
A spectacular experience. My fiancé and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary together here after two different locals recommended Mozaic. The staff were amazing, the food was divine, and the atmosphere was perfect. We chose the 6 course tasting menu which was creatively-crafted, and we opted for a seasonal cocktail each as we had plans early the next morning and didn't want to drink too much, but there are cocktail and wine pairing options. We must say that the canapés before we even sat down for our starters already had us saying how amazing it was!! It was quite expensive, but then again, one of our best dinner date night experiences ever and we would highly recommend it!
Svetlana P — Google review
The dining experience here is thoughtfully curated and quite unique. It begins in a cozy lounge area where you’re served an amuse-bouche along with a welcome drink—this is a nice touch and helps set a relaxed tone for the evening. After that, you’re led into the indoor dining room for a series of starters, and later moved again to a beautiful garden space where the main courses are served. The transition between spaces makes the meal feel like a journey, and the presentation of each dish is elegant and clearly well considered. While the ambiance and service were both top-notch—the staff were attentive, professional, and warm—I personally found the food to be just decent. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it didn’t really impress me or live up to the high expectations that come with the price. The flavors were clean and refined, but lacked that extra “wow” factor that I was hoping for from a fine dining experience. One thing that stood out (in a less positive way) was the pacing of the meal. After finishing each dish, I found myself waiting about 15 minutes for the next one to arrive. I understand that dishes are freshly prepared and timing is important for presentation and quality, but the gaps between courses felt a bit too long and slightly disrupted the flow of the meal. All in all, it’s a lovely venue with great service and a creative dining concept, but for me, the food didn’t quite justify the overall price and time commitment. Seasonal Menu: 8 course meal 1,700,000, excluding beverages. Additional 20% tax not included.
Kenneth L — Google review
Had the 8 course, seasonal menu. With wine pairing. The pairing was good and I loved most of the dishes. The desserts were not great, in my opinion. Also 2 desserts out of 8 courses seemed too much, but I'm also more of a fan of savory vs sweet. The pace was good, didn't feel like I was waiting eagerly on the next course. I could have skipped the "while we wait" cocktail. Only had 2 sips, so a waste.
Nicoleta G — Google review
I rarely write Google reviews, but this time I felt I had to share so others don’t have the same disappointing experience I did. I brought my mom here for her birthday during our trip to Bali, hoping for a memorable fine dining evening after seeing so many positive reviews. Unfortunately, the reality was far from what we expected. The food was underwhelming, most dishes lacked flavor, and even the signature main course, the duck, had an unpleasant smell that made it hard to enjoy. On top of that, each course took so long to arrive that we were struggling to stay awake between dishes. What surprised me most was the service. I don’t know why, but out of all the places we’ve dined in Bali, the staff here provided the poorest customer care, even though this was also the most expensive restaurant we’ve been to on this trip. The staff seemed tired and disengaged, as if they just wanted to finish their shift. They didn’t make us feel welcomed or cared for throughout the evening. For a birthday dinner, there was no effort to make it feel special; even offering to take a simple photo for us never happened. I truly regret choosing this place for such an important occasion. For the price and service charge, I had expected much more. I hope this review serves as a consideration for others who are thinking of dining here.
Pimonpats L — Google review
Absolutely extraordinary — the best dining experience I’ve had in Bali and one of the best anywhere. Every dish was flawless — from the blue crab and wagyu short rib to the foie gras, dry-aged duck, and ginger flower sorbet. The pairings were perfect, and the balance of local flavors with fine-dining precision was world-class. Chef and the Mozaic team thank you
Elias S — Google review
Excellent restaurant offering delicious cuisine. The eight-course menu left me feeling very full and satisfied with culinary impressions. Highly recommend the trout with bell pepper, wagyu short ribs, and foie gras (!)
Rufat T — Google review
We tried their seasonal 6- and 8-course menus for two people. It felt like a journey. Enjoying a few courses in one area, then move to another part of the restaurant, and finish in the garden. The food was good, especially the beef and duck, which were both delicious. However, the cocktails weren’t quite to my taste, but everything else was lovely.
Saranya W — Google review
An absolute must for all fine dining lovers. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the service was excellent. We started the night inside the main building and were later transferred to the backyard, which is surrounded by bushes and trees with the grill located in the middle. The food was delicious and very creatively arranged on the plate. For one plate, the head chef served us the dish and added the final touches at our table.

Nestled just 30 minutes north of Ubud, Ceking Rice Terrace is a breathtaking destination that showcases the stunning beauty of terraced rice paddies surrounded by lush greenery. This picturesque landscape is not only a feast for the eyes but also an excellent example of traditional Balinese farming practices, particularly the subak irrigation system, which has been in use since the eighth century.
The Tegallalang Rice Terrace was one of the most beautiful, green, and picturesque places we have visited while being in Bali. The wait to enter was very short and the entrance fee was also inexpensive. At the time of this post the cost was 50,000 Rupiah per person which allows you to take pictures in some of the installations and walk the space. If you would like to take pictures on some of the other swings and things you can pay to do so and rent a beautiful gown to take pictures in at the same time. In addition to this you can do zip lining and a bike ride across a tight rope. We arrived later in the day so we just entered and took it all in, had a quick bite, a couple beers, and took some nice pictures. I would definitely recommend checking it out. It’s even just a nice scenic walk to take and you can stop have a bite and walk some more then take more pictures and take advantage of the different activities.
Olevia M — Google review
The best time to visit is just before sunset, when the atmosphere is calm, traffic is lighter, and the area is pleasantly cool. The entrance fee is very affordable and already includes parking. Along the trail, several small local vendors offer refreshments — a simple yet meaningful way to support the community during your visit. What makes this destination truly special is its commitment to preserving the natural landscape while empowering the local residents. A serene and sustainable experience that reflects the authentic beauty of Bali.
Balidronelady — Google review
I visited the Tegallalang Rice Terrace in Bali and it’s every bit as beautiful as the photos suggest. The landscapes are stunning — layered rice fields stretching into the distance with lush greenery and palms swaying overhead. It’s a place where you can truly take in Bali’s natural beauty. This spot is great if you enjoy light hiking. There are paths and trails that let you wander through different levels of the terraces, giving you both peaceful walking moments and opportunities to admire the scenery from different perspectives. Just be prepared for a little climbing — some portions can be steep or uneven, but the views make it worth it. It’s also a fantastic photo location. Whether you’re capturing wide scenic shots or taking iconic Bali-style pictures among the terraces, it’s easy to find beautiful backdrops everywhere you turn. Overall, Tegallalang Rice Terrace is a must-visit for anyone who loves nature, views, and a little adventure. Scenic, peaceful, and perfect for photos and exploration — definitely worth the stop.
Latisha D — Google review
These terraces are located closest to Ubud and are by far the most popular with tourists. Admission is free, but you can pay a voluntary fee. They are beautifully maintained, with many spots and viewpoints for beautiful photos. It's worth sitting down at a nearby restaurant (there are many to choose from) for a drink or a meal and admiring the rice terraces from a different perspective. A phenomenal place. I won't say more. It's a must-see.

Absolutely stunning place! 🌾 The Tegallalang Rice Terraces are one of the most beautiful spots in Bali. You can walk along the narrow paths through the rice fields and enjoy the amazing view of the terraced hills. It’s peaceful, refreshing, and a great way to connect with nature. Perfect for travelers, families with kids, or even teens who want to learn about local farming and Balinese culture. Don’t forget to stop by one of the small cafés around for a coconut or coffee while enjoying the scenery. Highly recommend visiting early morning or before sunset for the best experience! 🌅✨

A must-visit experience when in Bali! The journey can be as short or as long as you like, with plenty of drink stalls along the way to keep you refreshed. There’s a small entry fee, and it’s a good idea to bring insect repellent. For those seeking a bit more adventure, you can enjoy the swing or zip line for an additional fee. Go early to avoid the heat. Overall, a fantastic place to visit and well worth the trip!

Wholly crapster what an eye opener. This was a magical environment and I mean magical. You'd never for a million years think that a rice terrace could be magical but this site is. My wifies had a custom dress made for the swing adventure which was truly beautiful. We were lucky enough to have a guide who walked us through the terrace and explained the details of the terrace and it's workings. Our guide showed us all levels and took us to an absolutely beautiful restaurant for lunch. Was a magnificent adventure and a morning I shall never forget. A must see, must swing, must do.

We truly enjoyed our visit to Tegallalang — it’s an unforgettable place filled with breathtaking natural beauty. The lush green rice terraces stretch across the hills like waves of emerald, surrounded by tall coconut trees and all the greenery nature. The air feels fresh and calming, and the view is simply mesmerizing from every angle. We loved walking through the terraces, taking in the peaceful atmosphere, and admiring how beautifully nature and tradition blend together here. Tegallalang is a perfect spot to experience the serene and magical side of Bali’s landscape.

My friend and I had an amazing time on the ATV ride/drive! It was the perfect length in terms of time and a good challenge without feeling too difficult or overwhelming. The trail was so beautiful and went through some really cool spots! The staff were also super friendly and accommodating. Our drive to the location had some unexpected delays and we ended up being late to check in but the staff were really helpful in sorting everything out and very understanding!

Loved every minute of this ATV ride! Me and my partner booked for our own ATV and wouldn't have it any other way, full of adrenaline and fun! Definitely pays to be a tad confident with yourself especially going through tight tunnels, but easy once you just go for it :) plus tour guides super helpful and makes for a great trip through the park, down hill, tunnel and waterfalls!

This is super fun and adventure place. Thankful for our team guide name Wimas (no. 16). He was friendly, professional and making more fun for every minutes ride through the rice field, tunnel, waterfall, up hill & down trail. LOVE IT!

Experience was awesome but definitely some knicks in the process. Upon coming to the lobby, it was definitely a bit chaotic. Couldn’t exactly tell how we were grouped. Questionable hygiene of the boots and equipment they give you - they seem well washed but just uncomfortable to put your bare feet into used boots. The tour itself is great and well run. You go in about groups of 10 and through different parts of the forest depending on your package. I’m glad we took the more comprehensive package but also it did feel quite hot and long towards the end. I also thought our guide was going a bit too slow since there were kids and photo-paying customers. Safety is definitely a concern - I saw a woman fully toppled over with the atv on top of her near the rice fields. The vehicle goes quite fast and if you’re not prepared, accidents happen. Views and experience otherwise was awesome. They kindly took photo/videos for us on our phone as well. Would recommend, but would note it still does feel like a tourist activity
Shruti G — Google review
We took the premium package. The ATV ride was quite fun. We went through rice fields, a waterfall, tunnels and jungle-esque areas. It was a lot more fun when it started to rain. The ride can be a little challenging so make sure you are comfortable riding. The terrain can be quite rough and we saw a couple ATVs flip and people get hurt. That said, if you're careful and in control,it shouldn't be an issue. There are changing areas, showers, gear, helmets, boots and lockers made available to you (all free of cost). You also get a small meal of fries and sandwich (which was average) included in your package. The main reason for going with the premium package was because it has us ride through the waterfall which was very fun and recommended. A few points of concern: The tour operators could be a little more attentive towards the entire group. And be a little patient with the riders. One of the ATVs stopped working which caused a delay but was soon replaced with a new one. Compared to other tour providers the price seemed a little too steep. I guess they charge that for their private track which only they have access to. So you decide if it's worth it. I took it Mainly for the waterfall.

Amazing experience! One of the best ATV adventures in Bali. I chose the Tandem ATV (double for two people), but they also have a Single ATV option. The views were incredible — we went through a cave, waterfall, jungle tracks, and beautiful rice fields. We paid 1,800,000 IDR for two people. Our guide was very friendly and helped us take photos and stopped at the best spots. Make sure to arrive 30 minutes early to complete the safety form and instructions. At the end, they also gave us a meal voucher for the restaurant. Highly recommended — I would definitely do it again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Gunung Kawi Sebatu is an ancient 11th-century temple and funerary complex featuring 10 rock-cut shrines carved into cliff niches. Located near Ubud, it is surrounded by myths and theories that add to its allure, such as the legend of a warrior carving intricate reliefs with his fingernails. The temple covers an area of 5,000 square meters and serves as a place of worship for Lord Vishnu in the Hindu religion.
The most underrated temple we've been to. The place was quiet and not so full of tourists, and we can enjoy the experience here. You can do the purification ritual here. You will receive a sarong for free at the entrance. Here, there is a pull full of fiss for which you can buy some food and feed them. There are a lot of fish and ducks.

It was a beautiful adventure. I liked this temple the most. There are a lot of stairs, but it worth it. And near the path I bought beautiful earrings from one nice woman.

The place is quiet and peaceful, compared to others like it in the area. You can feel the spirituality. Beautiful, with few tourists. You can do the water purification ritual.

Saw this place while exploring google maps. Didn’t do the purification ritual but watched others, there was a guide explaining the whole process and was not busy like the other place. Had a nice to exploring this place. You need to cover your legs while here, they provide a sarong which was good.

This is my favourite temple in Bali. It was not in my to do list, but I accidentally found it on Google Maps. It is not a popular place among tourists. Tranquility and the beautiful nature. I recommend to feed koi fish there, it is an amazing experience.
Anna L — Google review
An amazing temple. I highly recommend it as a perfect short trip from Ubud, and you can combine it with a visit to a nearby waterfall. These temples are truly something different from what we have in Europe – very beautiful and peaceful, and there's even the option to take part in a purification ritual. Highly recommended!
Martin P — Google review
A really lovely little temple, not overcrowded, quiet and calm. You could also do a purification ritual here if you’d like or just spent hours sitting by the beautiful pond feeding the fish. I real spot of calm.

Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Pura Tirta Empul, situated in the Manukaya Village of Tampaksiring, Gianyar, is a significant Hindu temple in Bali known for its holy spring water used for ritual purification. The temple features a bathing area where Balinese Hindus partake in ceremonial purification processes such as melasti and melukat. Tourists are also drawn to participate in these purifying rituals.
If you’re coming here hoping for a deeply personal or spiritual experience, set your expectations low. This isn’t the serene, slow-paced temple energy you might crave. It’s more of a tightly managed, highly commercialized procession — with ancient roots and modern hustle sitting a little too close together. Here’s the rundown: • You pay at the gate. Then again for sarong rental. Then again if you want a locker. Then again if you want a guide. It’s not the cost that stings — it’s the constant drip of transactions that chips away at the sacredness of the space. • The purification ritual is supposed to be deeply spiritual. But with tourists queuing in wet clothes for photos and GoPros bobbing beside prayerful locals, it starts to feel like a water-themed group tour, not a moment of personal reflection. • The temple grounds are still beautiful. But it’s hard to access that beauty when you’re being ushered, timed, and layered in expectation. What works well: • The system is organized. You’re led where you need to go. No confusion. • The water is cold. Like, shock-you-into-the-moment cold. At one point I felt like I was just another fish in the tank — which, depending on your mindset, could be poetic or ridiculous. • There are locals who come here for real spiritual reasons, and I respect that deeply. But they’re navigating the same tourist waves you are. The takeaway: If you’re curious, it’s worth trying once. Just don’t expect quiet revelation. This isn’t a temple that meets you with stillness. It meets you with a schedule. For some, it might still land. For me, it missed the mark — not because it lacks meaning, but because the meaning feels buried under layers of commerce and crowd control. And the sellers here has a way of ripping you off by overpriced items lol. Going here is so traffic as well

Pura Tirta Empul is one of the most spiritual and culturally rich places to visit in Bali. Located near Tampaksiring, this beautiful water temple is famous for its holy spring water, where locals and visitors come to perform purification rituals. The moment you enter, you can feel a calm and sacred atmosphere that immediately connects you to Balinese spirituality and tradition. The temple complex is stunning — surrounded by lush greenery and traditional architecture that reflects Bali’s deep cultural roots. The highlight, of course, is the purification pool with its clear running water sourced from the sacred spring. Visitors can join the locals in the ritual, washing away negative energy and seeking blessings. The experience feels truly special and peaceful, especially when you follow the proper ritual steps with the help of local guides. The staff and guides are friendly and respectful, explaining the meaning behind each step, so you understand the spiritual significance of what you’re doing. You can rent sarongs at the entrance, which are required to enter the temple grounds. Overall, visiting Pura Tirta Empul is not just about sightseeing — it’s about connecting with the Balinese way of life and spirituality. A must-visit for anyone looking to experience the authentic heart of Bali.
Dikendra G — Google review
A beautiful and culturally rich place to visit. The temple is peaceful, with sacred water pools and colorful koi fish everywhere, which makes the atmosphere very unique. It’s a great opportunity to discover Balinese traditions and spiritual rituals. It can be a bit crowded, but it’s definitely worth experiencing another culture. الحمد لله على نعمة الإسلام ☪️
Mariem Z — Google review
This was a very beautiful temple. They have the option to partake in the purification ritual (you need special tickets for this, and it can be a very long line). It is very nice to explore and walk around the beautiful temple. There is also a number of local vendors as you exit.

One of the most unforgettable moments in Bali was visiting Pura Tirta Empul, the famous temple of holy spring water. Surrounded by mountains and mist, the air here feels different — calm, sacred, and ancient, as if time itself slows down in respect. Locals and travelers alike come here to purify themselves in the crystal-clear spring water that flows through the stone fountains. Each stream represents a prayer — for health, peace, forgiveness, and blessings. Watching people line up to step into the cold water, one by one, reminded me how universal hope and faith can be, no matter where we come from. Sometimes, travel isn’t just about seeing new places, it’s about cleansing your heart in silence and rediscovering a sense of balance within yourself.

Beautiful and Sacred spritual place. Known for Holy Water, melukat and pray. Calm, pure, full of positive energy and Balinese culture. You can join water blessing too for Rp. 10K and locker for Rp. 15K. Ticket for Rp. 50-75K. Huge parking lot. Allocate 1.5-2 hours extra time if you want to melukat. Wear appropriate outfit. Would be better if the toilets are maintained and equipped better.

Out of the world architecture of Purs Tirta Empul in Bali. We were told to get the sarong and tie it on our waist in a right way, since that is the way one can enter only. ( I loved following this respect, which needed to be given). It was worth every bit of our time and effort to get to see this place ourselves.
Neeru D — Google review
I visited this famous Tirta place in Bali during my visit in October 2025. I was completely awestruck with this spot. It is believed that dip in this holy spring chill water will relax ones nind body and bring inner peace by cleansing. There are about 13 outlets in the first pond. It's advised that dip in 11 th and 12th outlet is for those who have finished death ceremony of their loved ones only. So travellers are advised not to take a dip in these two outlets in the first pond. After completing first pind one has to step out and move to second poola where there are about 6 outlets and then move to third poola. In the third pool also dip is suggested in only one outlet. For having dip in this holy thirta you have to cover with their green cloth available for rent of IDR 10000. One can see water bubbling out naturally from the bigger pond next to this bathing spot. The excess spring water is flowing out to maintain the level here.Defintely it's a must visit place. Please carry towel and inner garments to enjoy this holy dip. Locker facility is available. Guides are available who will assist in taking your photo while you take a dip in this holy thirta

This restaurant has a great view of rice fields and offers delicious satay dishes. The food is a bit expensive, but it's worth it because of the great views and atmosphere.
Stopped in on a whim and found this to be one of the highlights of my stay in Bali! Food was excellent and service was outstanding, all with a beautiful view of rice terraces below. Highly recommend if you are in the area! Tuna dish was one of the best meals I had on the entire trip!

Very pushy to get you in the door. Drinks are Not very good quality. Extra fees without notice after you order. Good views, but not much else. I would avoid coming here. Also, rude service.

Nice restaurant serving both Indon and western food at the rice terrace. Price is considerably higher than normal but still acceptable. Expect to spend around IDR120k-150k per pax. Food taste and quality varies with different dish. Most of tye curry were too salty for our taste buds but salty seems to be quite normal for restaurants in Bali. However, the view surrounding the restaurant is excellent. You can even ealk around the rice terraces before and after the meal. Lot's of Instagram opportunities. Overall, highly recommended for tourists doing touristy stuff at Bali.

Nestled in the picturesque Bayad Village, just a short drive from Ubud, Begawan Biji Restaurant offers an enchanting farm-to-table dining experience. The restaurant is set amidst lush rice fields and permaculture gardens, providing a serene backdrop for enjoying traditional Balinese cuisine. Designed as a traditional Balinese wantilan, the open-air pavilion structure adds to the authentic ambiance. The menu showcases dishes cooked over fire using locally sourced ingredients, reflecting the region's rich agricultural heritage.
From the very first moment, the service stood out, welcoming, thoughtful, and genuinely attentive to every detail. As for the food, it was truly remarkable. Every dish was a masterpiece, where the balance of flavors, textures, and vibrant colors created an unforgettable sensory experience. The atmosphere also left a lasting impression. There’s a unique sense of care and attention in every corner of the space, which adds to the overall experience. It’s clear that the team is committed to offering not just excellent food, but a carefully crafted environment that enhances the entire dining experience. A place I will definitely return to.

The whole experience was amazing. The food was excellent, especially the wagyu short ribs which were absolutely delicious, and the signature tangerine dessert which was stunning. What makes this place truly special is the concept: everything they serve comes from their own farm, making it fresh and unique. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel cared for throughout the visit. We were also offered complimentary starters and extra vanilla ice cream, which was a lovely touch. Totally recommended!

This was a meal and an experience that will stay with me forever. The food, service and surroundings exceeded my expectations. We had a tasting menu of Chef Andrew’s choosing. I’m so glad we did because we wouldn’t have selected half the dishes he prepared. For example the corn kimchi inspired starter was a favourite. As were the long beans in a curry broth. The tangerine dessert was a stand out. It’s one of the best desserts I’ve ever eaten. Manager Joshua and Faizal were welcoming. Faizal’s tour of the garden and telling of the begawan story made our time at Begawan truly memorable. The restaurant is accessible as are the toilets. Great care is taken to ensure dietary restrictions are catered. Thanks to Chef Andrew, Manager Joshua and all the incredible people working at begawan biji

This meal will hands down be one of the best meals of your life. I really didn’t know what I was signing up for but it was one of the best parts of our visit to Bali. When you pull up to the parking lot, you don’t realize a buggy is actually going to take you to the restaurant. They drive you by 2-3 minutes and you reach a gorgeous, open air restaurant. We sat down not realizing the spectacle of the location and were quickly explained it was a proper farm to table experience. They got us settled with cooling towels and drinks and we were then offered to get a tour of the farm. A very friendly staff member took us through the farm, having us guess various vegetables, letting us play with the adorable and friendly farm cat, and through their shed as well. We came back plenty hungry but having ordered already, everything quickly and swiftly arrived. As a vegetarian, this meal is truly unbeatable. We ended up with almost 10 items, stuffed stomachs, and yet still feeling so light and healthy. We had so many conversations with the waiters throughout, asking detailed questions and learning more about the farming lifestyle here. We’d 200% return - this was a make or break experience on our Bali trip

5 ⭐️’s stars isn’t enough for this place , they deserve more ! What an incredible experience! This place is so much more than just a restaurant — it’s a whole journey. We started the evening with a small farm tour, and Adi explained how everything is grown completely chemical-free, using nature and the ecosystem itself to keep pests away. We even saw fireflies, which are so rare in Bali — it was magical. Adi was also our waiter for the night and he was absolutely fantastic — attentive, funny, and genuinely passionate about what he does. The food was next level. Every dish was bursting with flavour and you could really taste how fresh and thoughtfully prepared everything was. The head chef Andrew even came out to serve dessert and have a chat about the farm and the team — such a great touch. The operations manager Joshua also checked in on us throughout the night and had some amazing drink recommendations. You can tell everyone here truly cares about what they do and about giving guests the best possible experience. The rice alone deserves a mention — all harvested chemical-free and honestly the best I’ve ever tasted. Everything from start to finish was outstanding. Thank you so much to the whole team for an unforgettable evening — and for the quick trip out back halfway through dinner to see even more fireflies! What a night. Highly recommend this place if you love real food and appreciate the care and hard work that goes into it. Matur Suksma 🙏

This was amazing! We first get a private tour of the garden where everything that you will eat is grown. The restaurant is very beautifull and great for your instagram story :) The food is delicious and make sure to leave some space for dessert. The presentation of the Begawan Giri Honey and Tangerine is a piece of art and the taste is even better! This is a must if you want to taste something delicious!

We were greeted right when we arrived to the parking lot and shuttled to the that is maybe at most two minutes away. All the dishes and drinks were absolutely mind blowing as for how amazing they are. The servers, cooks, and cleaners were very kind and saying hello to us. After dinner we got a sunset tour of the farm! Thank you so much for being so welcoming to us! We will 100% be back! :)

I had the private farm tour with lunch included for the entire morning from 9am. Definitely recommend the experience to those who have been a few times to Bali and not rushing for top tourist spots. My guide Faizal was very accommodating and patient in explaining the plants, herbs, birds and the local habitat. Highly recommended for an immersive farm experience in Ubud Bali!

The restaurant is gorgeous! Every detail is simply beautiful. My partner and I were the only ones and it felt so chill and relaxing with a beautiful view of rice fields. The food was great! Many vegetarians options. I fell in love with the lychee beer. Lovely place to have lunch and I bet at night must be even more beautiful.

We stayed 5 nights at Akasha and it was wonderful. The hotel's setting is magnificent, in the middle of rice terraces, it's very calm and soothing. We stayed in the dome room, atypical and very beautiful! As for the restaurant, the bamboo architecture is wonderful, and the food very, very good and tasty. Special mention for the attentive, pleasant and smiling staff. We also met the 2 dogs from the hotel, they're so cute and friendly. A thousand thanks to you, we'll be back for sure 🙏🏻❤️

Honestly, this place could be really nice, but it feels like nobody take care of it properly. Team can’t understand English well. Only one lady was super nice and welcome. Pizza have a gluten-free and vegan options, which is really nice, but the taste was so bad. One of the worst test I had in Ubud. Vegan cheese was watery and have no taste. For same money u can have super good pizza in Alchemy. I mean. It’s super bad. With cheap tomato sauce taste.

Akasha is more than just a restaurant – it feels like a sanctuary. The setting is stunning, surrounded by lush jungle and rice fields, with a design that blends nature and architecture beautifully. The food is fresh, healthy and creative, with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, and the drinks are equally well made. Prices are a bit higher than in central Ubud, but the overall vibe, the music, and the relaxing energy make it worth it. A perfect place for dining, yoga events, or simply unwinding in a magical environment

Day 3

Southeast side of town
For day 3, we recommend exploring the southeast side side of town. Start the day off with Pura Taman Kemuda Saraswati (Water Palace), then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Threads of Life Store. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Nestled in the heart of Ubud, Pura Taman Kemuda Saraswati, also known as the Ubud Water Palace, is a breathtaking Hindu temple that pays homage to the goddess Saraswati. As you stroll along a picturesque pathway over serene lotus ponds, you'll be captivated by its intricate stone architecture and lush surroundings. This tranquil oasis offers an escape from the busy world outside, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in its beauty and spirituality.
Very nice. They have the traditional garb for you to wear, but it was damp from previous wearers not understanding the use of umbrellas… The temple itself is pretty and a nice 10 min stroll around. Some cool sculptures and it must be great to watch the traditional dancing they do here!! Can have a drink or food at lotus cafe with good view of temple and fountains as well.
Shane K — Google review
Beautiful temple costing 60k per person. You dress up in traditional clothes so everyone is wearing purple which just makes the place even more stunning. The water features are gorgeous too. The only downside is that it is quite small so you do have to wait a little while sometimes to have your photo taken.
Coralie P — Google review
It was ok, but be aware that visitors are not allowed inside the temple at all, so all you get to see for the entrance fee is the gardens and ponds at the front. They're pretty, for sure, but it's not quite what we were expecting. I understand it's culturally important and they don't want to be overrun with tourists, but it's disappointing to get there and find out you can't actually see the best bits. The front also houses a Starbucks (!!!) and big restaurant, so it's not exactly capturing the authentic temple feel.
Chris C — Google review
A very beautiful landmark in the heart of central Ubud. Very close to the Ubud Palace and is a must visit place. There is of course entrance fees to be paid. All visitors are provided traditional attire and it looks really nice. There are cultural performances every evening. A lot of restaurants and cafes are there within the compound and nearby.
Birat B — Google review
Disappointing After seeing this online, I was very keen to visit. However, after I was left disappointed. It appears they have made some renovations/changes this year and not for the most positive. The stepping stones have been added to the lily pad ponds but I’m not sure if that’s to the detriment of the lily pads…. Didn’t look as healthy as previous photos. The main area of the temple is no longer public accessible so you’re really just seeing the front garden. Which you could just look at from the road without paying the entrance fee. The traditional Balinese dress is required to be worn, but is just passed onto the next person and on a hot day is very sweaty and grubby. Also just comes in one size. So if you are a bit taller or wider it doesn’t fit correctly and just probs make a bit of a mockery of it all rather than being culturally sensitive
Jack S — Google review
If you buy tickets online they will be cheaper than at the entrance. Dress in traditional clothes. Honestly, I think you need to come here early in the morning, as we were there at 12 noon and there were a lot of people, it was hard to take photos. The temple itself, the architecture and the decor are very cool.

Worth a visit if you’re into art. 🎨 They’ve got some nice gardens and ponds outside, and four buildings showcasing works from old to modern. You can even buy paintings. Personally, I found it a bit boring — was expecting more than just art.

The museum is a must go to see a piece of the history of Balinese art. It’s not well conserved, but has a great overview of how art has evolved over the centuries. In oct 2025, tickets were 95k IDR with a bottle of water :-). The museum is split into 4 galleries with the south one dedicated to very recent artwork - the least interesting one. The gardens of the museum are beautiful.

A well curated museum. Alot of Balinese history through art. If you want to take it all in across each building of which there are four, be prepared to spend 90 minutes minimum.

This is probably among the better art museums in Indonesia. More importantly, it provides a narrative about the development of painting in Bali. The grounds are very beautiful, and given that most tourists won’t bother with a serious museum about art in a place such as Bali, it’s incredibly peaceful.

The Ubud Art Market is a bustling hub of Balinese craftsmanship, offering a diverse array of unique items such as handicrafts, batik, accessories, and clothing. Visitors can explore the market's offerings and haggle with vendors for one-of-a-kind souvenirs. It's recommended to compare prices across different stalls, negotiate with sellers, and inquire about the authenticity of goods.
I really enjoyed visiting Ubud Art Market. It's full of colours and I loved walking around and exploring the different stalls, each selling unique handmade decor, bags, coasters, jewellery and souvenirs. Most of the vendors are warm and welcoming. Bargaining made my shopping experience even more exciting! Carry cash!
Neetha A — Google review
Yes, it is geared for tourists and yes, you must haggle but some people like that. We arrived at 11:15 and it was starting to get busy. When we left and hour later it was hopping with people. We started in the building and then to the street market next door. Same stuff, smaller aisles. Ask how much, they name a price, you counter with half, and then the bargaining starts. It's fun and the shop keepers were not pushy at all. Hubby got a t-shirt for 130k and was happy. Warning! Lots of wooden penis on sale. Prep your kids! Across the street from the old Royal Palace.
Robin M — Google review
Most of the prices are 3x the selling price we see at stores in Sanur Harbor. Even if you haggle, you will just be able to haggle it to the original selling price. So don’t buy unless you don’t have time to look elsewhere or want a challenge to haggle until you deem the price is worth the item. We were able to buy some items that I didn’t see in other places like the patched up pants.
Corinne — Google review
A vibrant place full of handicrafts, souvenirs, and Balinese art. Prices can be quite expensive, so make sure you have good bargaining skills. Parking is a bit difficult, but aside from that, it’s a great spot to explore and experience the local atmosphere.
Romie M — Google review
A large market with many similar stalls—it can feel a bit repetitive, as most shops sell the same items. Prices are inflated for tourists, so bargaining is expected, and you can often bring the price down by half or more, which makes it hard to know the real value. While the setting is lively and picturesque, giving you a nice spot to wander if you’re already in the area, it feels more tourist-oriented than authentic. We noticed the same goods being sold in many other parts of Bali, so don’t expect unique local craftsmanship here. Do check out the second floor if you visit, but overall, I wouldn’t return as it lacked originality.
Shivangi G — Google review
Ubud Art Market is a vibrant and colorful place that truly reflects the artistic soul of Bali. Located right in the heart of Ubud, this market is packed with beautiful handmade items — from wooden carvings and rattan bags to batik clothes, paintings, and jewelry. Every corner is filled with creativity and craftsmanship, making it a must-visit for anyone who loves local art and culture. One of the best parts of shopping here is the bargaining experience. The initial price that vendors quote is usually much higher than the actual selling value, so don’t hesitate to negotiate — it’s part of the fun! In many cases, you can get items for half or even one-third of the first price if you bargain politely and with a smile. For example, if something starts at 300,000 IDR, you can often get it for around 100,000 IDR or even less. It’s a great feeling when you walk away with a good deal while supporting local artisans. Just take your time, explore the different stalls, and enjoy the friendly conversations with the sellers. Overall, Ubud Art Market is not just a shopping stop — it’s a cultural experience where your bargaining skills can truly shine!
Dikendra G — Google review
Pretty big market full of souvenirs and clothes. Everyone is happy to bargain, basically the price they tell you at first is always highly overpriced. If the say something cost 300k you can buy it at 150k easily or start bargaining and get it down to 50-100k rupees. Never ever accept initial pricing. We bought a bunch of souvenirs and clothes here. Pricing for the magnets is about +-20k, most of the clothes (tshirts, shorts, etc) you can get at 50-100k.
Ilya L — Google review
An extremely lively market with indoor, outdoor and most adjacent lanes packed with Balinese handicrafts. Hard Bargains are a must since the initial price quoted will always be 2-2.5x higher on most products. Some sellers are quite persistent and will go the whole nine yards to make the sale happen. Many others, won't even bother to negotiate and wave you away. A comparatively higher priced market than other neighborhoods within Bali. Coffee shops are dime a dozen along with money changers here.

In Ubud, art enthusiasts should make sure to visit Threads of Life, an artisan gallery that focuses on preserving traditional Indonesian textiles and weaving techniques. This unique store showcases handmade pieces crafted by local artists using centuries-old methods, offering visitors the chance to purchase one-of-a-kind souvenirs while supporting indigenous communities and their vanishing crafts.
This is like a mini museum of textiles. High quality woven textile from across Indonesian on display as well as some accessories and baskets. Price point is higher and is a reflection of the quality. There are also workshops available for those who are interested. Staff are friendly and welcomed us to look around. They were also not pushy at all to sell.

Ubud is home to many beautiful boutiques, but Threads of Life stands out as more than just a standard gallery. They go above and beyond to promote and support traditional Indonesian textiles and natural dye production—an important and often underserved area. As a big fan of their work, I can personally attest to the craftsmanship and authenticity of the pieces offered at Threads of Life. It's worth noting that each purchase is truly one-of-a-kind, resulting from years of relationship-building with indigenous communities across Indonesia. This approach has provided stable income for these artisans, allowing them to continue weaving and pass their wisdom to future generations. Even better, Threads of Life offers wonderful hands-on classes at their Dye Studio in Petulu. Set amidst nature, their open studio and half-day batik classes are my personal favorites! I'd like to extend a big thank you to Ibu Tutut and Meri for their incredible service. They took the time to explain each beautiful textile and patiently answered all of my questions. If you're interested in Indonesian textiles and supporting sustainable craftsmanship, Threads of Life is definitely worth a visit during your time in Ubud!

Beautiful little shop in the middle of the market lined streets. It is not your average souvenir shop, the Threads of Life initiative raises awareness and provides an in depth look into the unique handcrafting techniques which have been held for years by local artisans in Bali and neighbouring islands. If you are interested in supporting local artisans and keen on getting your hands on one of a kind pieces, do stop by the store and speak to the highly knowledgeable staff who are happy to advise on any queries. Note, you are paying for products which have been produced meticulously by the skilled artists. Please respect the time taken and take into consideration that prices are higher in comparison to what you will typically find outside on the market stalls.

Beautiful textiles with a meaningful mission. Gorgeous natural dye textiles with super knowledgeable staff, and a great cause supporting traditional weavers. Highly recommend for those who are looking for great gifts for loved ones back home. A must-visit in Ubud for textile and natural dye lovers!

STUNNING! I wonderful small business supporting ancestral craft in Indonesia. This business helps local artisans to thrive. Really beautiful shop operating almost like a museum. Absolutely beautiful- even if you are not looking to purchase I would recommend going to simply view the art. I love it so much and bought 2 beautiful items I will treasure forever.

I took a Batik Indigo workshop at the Threads of Life Dye studio and it was a really enriching experience. It's not easy finding access to these types of traditions and knowledges so it's a really special experience to learn how the indigo is made and practice batik! Also the workshop area is a beautiful workspace with a garden full of plants they use to harvest for the dyes!

Balinese restaurant
Warung Biah Biah, located in Ubud, is a popular spot offering traditional Balinese dishes such as curries, noodles, and tempeh. The restaurant exudes a bustling atmosphere with visitors from around the globe. Upon entering, guests are greeted by the enticing aromas of authentic Indonesian cuisine. The establishment's ambiance is casual and homey, reflecting the comforting nature of its offerings.
The food was perfect especially the pork fried rice, which had excellent flavor and seasoning. All the ingredients blended beautifully, nothing felt out of place. The price was more than fair, with the whole meal costing less than 100,000 IDR incredible value for the quality. Service was good and friendly, and they even let me park downstairs, which made things really convenient. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great taste, warm service, and a very reasonable price.

Was excited to try this place from all the great reviews. The restaurant is in an alley that doesn’t allow cars to go through. The atmosphere and aesthetic were cute. The food though…presentation was great, but taste…bland. We orders chicken sate, soto ayam, nasi campur, and nasi ayam sambal mata. Everything we ate was lacking flavor. We had to order extra sambal just to give the kick that we were craving. The chicken soup had a hint of lemongrass and spice, but not enough to satisfy our taste buds. If you’re looking for ambience and good looking food, this place is 5 stars. But if you want tasty flavorful food, I would not recommend.

This is one is the best restaurant to enjoy authentic Balinese food. The taste is just awesome and yummy. We went there for dinner. This restaurant is quite famous that why there is a huge queue of people waiting for tables in front of the restaurants in peak hours. We had to wait a little bit longer as we requested the tables facing the street so that we can get view of street while having our dinner. We ordered Mie Gorang (Veg and chicken noodles), it was very tasty. The price is also reasonable as compared to other restaurants.

Nice little Warung in the city of Ubud. The popcorn chicken with curry sauce is nice. If you look for a little spicy sauce you need order «Merah sauce». Pork ribs are nice as well. You also got a lot of veggies side dishes that are really yummy and tasty.

If you want to try local food in Ubud, thats the right place. We tried 7 different dishes and two large bintang beers for only 280 rupiah. It is a small place, a popular one, thats why finding a seat is not very easy. Service is a little bit slow, waitresses are kind. Overall I was very satisfied with the experience. Very delicious, clean, authentic local food.
Koray A — Google review
Crowded, menu is chaotic and hard to read, and staff are rude. Chicken satay was fried, was mainly made of fatty skin the peanut sauce tasted like oil. 0/5. The chicken mi goreng had two small pieces of chicken in the whole meal. When we told the staff about it and asked for more chicken they coldly took it away, dumped a few token pieces and mixed it in. Then gave us terrible service after that and we could tell they were talking about us. To their credit, the tempe dish was quite nice though. We felt extremely rushed and plates were taken from us without having swallowed our final bite. We left immediately.

It took a while for the food to arrive. The taste was okay nothing really mind blowing, but still pretty good. I wish they played some authentic music instead of the basic usuk pop 😩

Extraordinary Indonesian food experience! My favourite Indonesian restaurant in Ubud. I came here twice and I had a lovely experience. The atmosphere is so welcoming and I loved the open concept kitchen and grill. The people are so nice & polite. They made you feel at home. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh and tasty. The quality was so good! Loved everything I ate. Definitely will be the first restaurant I would go as soon as I come back to Ubud!

Nusantara is a gem in Ubud, offering an atmosphere that is both elegant and inviting. The space blends modern design with touches of Indonesian tradition, creating a warm yet refined setting that immediately sets the tone for a special meal. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine hospitality. The family-style concept is a highlight, allowing guests to share a variety of dishes and experience the breadth of Indonesian flavors together. Each plate was beautifully presented, with the crispy duck standing out as a true masterpiece, perfectly crisp on the outside and tender within. Nusantara is an inspired alternative dining experience in Ubud, seamlessly combining authenticity, creativity, and a sense of togetherness. Highly recommended!!

We opted for the set menu, and gave notice of an allergy on the booking request. Staff were knowledgeable about shellfish allergies and the kitchen prepared alternative starters and sambals for my friend- really fantastic service! The food was absolutely divine from start to finish. We both agreed that the tuna dish was one of the best raw fish dishes either of us had eaten. A great spot for foodies, or for date night. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the open grill kitchen at the front creates a great atmosphere. The excellent food, service and atmosphere make it worth the price tag.

Total hidden gem in Ubud. Nusantara is a cozy little spot that showcases the depth of Indonesian cuisine. Think fiery sambals, fall-apart rendang, and vibrant veggies, all beautifully plated. The team is warm, sharp, and genuinely excited to walk you through the regions and spices—service that feels personal without being fussy. Cocktails and zero-proof drinks highlight local botanicals, and vegetarians are well looked after. Go with friends, order a spread, and let the flavors take you on a tour across the islands. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

Third time eating here at Nusantara spanning over a decade since my first, and it’s never failed to deliver. Great food, ambience and hospitality. Strongly recommend the beef ribs, stir fry papaya leaves with banana blossom, crispy babek, prawn curry and the chicken. The chicken dish was very unassuming but boy did it deliver. Managed to retain all of its moisture. Definitely looking to return when I’m back at Ubud! Remember to make reservations!

CocoNuts! Nusantara truly delivered on their promise of elevating classic Indonesian dishes. The chef’s menu is unique, with a wide variety of traditional Indonesian cuisine presented with refined cooking techniques, fresh ingredients, or simply done differently. From curries and soups to snacks and cocktails, everything was executed perfectly. The lamb curry was a standout, and the coconut soup still haunts my dreams. If you’re looking for a culinary experience that won’t disappoint, this is it. The service was excellent, and the private dining room was perfect for an intimate vacation dinner. They are nuts and truly coconuts.

Amazing experience at Nusantara by Locatore. Great food and service. Local dishes cooked with a refinated approach, beautiful flavors, high-quality ingredients. I would definitely recommend. Our best meal in Bali! It is expensive for Bali standards but very cheap quality-wise for European standards. Worth it!

Perched on a hill overlooking the Campuhan valley, The Blanco Renaissance Museum was once the residence and studio of the vibrant artist Antonio Blanco. Known for his fascination with the female form, Blanco's collection features fantasy portraits of women in watercolors, collages, and erotic sketches. While not extensive, the museum showcases family portraits in an adjoining studio. Visitors are greeted by lithographic artworks of nude Balinese women displayed in a spacious marble hall.
The parrots were so so so adorable! I’ve never been this close to little parrots before—they even bowed their heads asking for pets! Oh my god, awww! And the staff helped me take photos with them, letting the parrots perch on my shoulder and stuff—just too cute!! The entry ticket was around $10 AUD per person, which is totally worth it. It was very quiet inside with hardly any people, but the place had so much character. Even though there’s no air conditioning, walking around or sitting in the garden was actually quite pleasant. Highly recommend this place, though the parrots were more beautiful than the paintings—much more captivating. Lol

This museum houses the paintings of Antonio Blanco a Spaniard who was born in the Philippines then moved to Bali and settled here. It’s a beautiful quiet place. The parrots were my favourite part I got to hold them and take photos they are lovely and have such a calming energy. There were very few people and my mom and I enjoyed strolling around together. We enjoyed the quiet garden with the fountain and fishes 🐟 also the beautiful friendly parrots 🦜 there’s a plant based restaurant next door as well with some nice gelato and great service and views! I would totally recommend this place and the gelato next door to cool down after a long day of walking

What an incredible museum. It was awesome to see the Dali of Bali/Antonio Blancos artwork in person. And to also see all the intricate beautiful frames along with his amazing paintings. They frames are an artwork in itself!! From the moment you walk in... you'll feel a unique energy... his paintings welcome you to his vivid imagination and talented vision. Spent a few hours admiring his marvellous works and his art studio where I met Bill the hornbilll!! It was so lovely to see his family home, creative space / studio. I especially loved the unique wall art pieces and his ode to Salvador Dali!! ✨️💕

Such a lovely museum! They offer many ways to explore Blanco’s life and that of his family — his studio, the beautiful garden with exotic birds, photographs, paintings, his authentic painting space, and films. To my surprise, his granddaughter suddenly appeared next to me and offered to share more about him and their family, even giving me a personal tour. It was such an authentic and personal experience. I would definitely recommend visiting!

Put this on your list of Top 100 things to do in Ubud. In other words there are 99 better things to do in Ubud than set foot in this badly-lit, dusty, self-Indulgent museum to a mediocre artist. The building and its grounds are impressive but that’s where it ends. Save your 100 IDR entrance fee and use it instead for a couple of patisserie at one of Ubuds best restaurants right next door at Plant Bistro. Here’s a picture of one of the displays at the museum to give you a taste of what you’re missing!
David C — Google review
An excellent museum and a striking example of what can be achieved in a small provincial town like Ubud, using the legacy of a local (and international) art legend — the painter Antonio Blanco. PS His paintings, rich in sensuality and detail, are sure to appeal even to the most refined artistic tastes. Note that photography inside the museum is not allowed.
Roman R — Google review
I came expecting a nice relaxing art viewing but I was disappointed. The place was beautiful but my god it's so HOT inside, I was sweating like crazy and it makes me not comfortable to be in the museum for too long. The birds were cute though, and the staff was nice and would offer to take your pics. But honestly for the ticket price of 55k it wasn't worth it overall

We had a lovey morning at the museum. Staff were very friendly and knowledgable and the grounds were as beautiful as the art inside. A morning well spent.

Nestled just a few kilometers north of Ubud, the Neka Art Museum stands as a vibrant testament to both traditional and modern Balinese artistry. Established in 1975 by art collector Suteja Neka, this museum showcases an impressive array of works from renowned 20th-century painters and contemporary Indonesian artists. The architecture itself is a stunning representation of Balinese design, creating an inviting atmosphere for visitors.
I visited the Neka Art Museum this morning (Sunday) and really enjoyed it. I had the place to myself as I wandered around. There were wonderful examples of traditional Balinese art and carvings with some western artists in there too. The buildings and grounds were peaceful and immaculately clean and I'd recommend this place if you'd like somewhere away from the crowds and a little less touristy. There was also a cafe on site which I didn't try and the opportunity to try some Balinese arts and craft classes that looked interesting.

I fell in love with this place. There’s some exceptional Balinese and contemporary art. The place is magical with beautiful grounds, ponds, trees and seating areas. We visited early in the morning and was able to enjoy the place on our own. Definitely worth the price.

Wanted to visit this place since my research showed that there was a forge here to demonstrate forging a keris. Walking in here piqued my wife's and my interest from the start. The intricate wooden carvings and old school paintings. My wife and I didn't have much interest in the modern section so we skipped those parts. The highlight for this trip were the 2 halls full of keris's. As a maker myself, the attention to detail and references was out of this world. This itself made the trip worth it. You'll have to book the forging demonstration in advance for the blacksmiths to prepare. I was unfortunate enough to have missed that detail but at least I got to have a look at the forging area.

Loved the Neka Art Museum, there are a lot of pieces from European artists that have lived in Bali and that was a great surprise. It's well maintained and it was almost empty, so we had the place mostly for ourselves. It will take you around an hour and a half or two to explore the whole museum. It's completely worth the visit and it's really close to other nice things to do in Ubud.

If you are into art or art history, this is a must. Mix of historical and contemporary art including Balinese traditional swords. We were the only visitor at that time. Although the entrance fee is high, find this more worthwhile than the other museum near ubud palace. Worth visiting especially if you are interested in some contemporary balinese themed artworks. There were also a lot of works of other nationalities depicting Balinese culture.

Though not cheap to enter, we felt the price was worth it. Beautiful collection of artwork which was paired with thorough and interesting descriptions of each subject. Art styles were varied, but all very enjoyable. Not crowded at all. No A/C, but it wasn't hot thanks to a nice breeze. The ticket includes a small bottle of water and a couple sweet crisps. Bathroom was very clean. Plenty of secure parking on site.

It has a massive collection: paintings, keris, sculptures. The garden is lush. There's a significant collection of Affandi here. There is also Lempad, which I admire a lot. I really enjoyed my time here. The ticket price was 150,000 for adults (Indonesian citizen).

The store features mostly monochrome cotton frocks that are perfect for Bali's tropical climate. Dear Biasa Team, I recently visited your Biasa Ubud store around 3 pm this afternoon intending to make a purchase. I politely asked one of your staff members if they could move a staff motorbike to allow me to park my car properly. Unfortunately, the response was rude, as she told me to move the motorbike myself. This was surprising and not the level of customer service I expected, especially for a premium brand like yours. As a result, I decided not to proceed with my purchase. I have been a regular customer at your stores in Jakarta and Bali, including Ubud (you can check my name in your system), and this experience was quite unusual. Additionally, the sales lady asked, “Sir, what do you want to do?” in a rather impolite manner. Shouldn’t a sales assistant begin with a proper greeting, as is customary? The interaction felt unwelcoming and quite disrespectful. I also noticed similar complaints in Google reviews about the treatment from your Ubud staff, and basic courtesy is essential when selling premium products. Hope this feedback helps prevent similar issues for other customers. Thank you

Love the quality of their garments. I visited the seminiyak store and the service was impeccable. However the service in their Ubud store was pretty unpleasant. I went in to buy some clothes and a bag and the unfriendly lady walked over to inform me of the price as if she thinks I can't afford it (I didn't ask for the price). A little tip to improve the customer service - if your customers wants to buy your items without asking for the price, it clearly means they can afford it. Again, love this brand and quality. However shame on the sales lady.

I have always adored Biasa’s art and fashion sense, and I am a returning customer at their Ubud store. Initially, the staff was very helpful—I purchased a few items, but the pants in my size and preferred color needed to be transferred from Seminyak. They took my WhatsApp number to notify me when the item arrived, and I agreed to pay the delivery fee in advance, regardless of whether I ultimately decided to buy the pants. A few hours later, the item arrived at the store. I appreciated their effort, tried on the pants, and agreed to proceed with the purchase. However, at the cashier, the staff informed me that due to heavy rain, there was a price increase. I asked, "Is this because I like the pants, so you’re raising the price?" They explained that the delivery fee had increased due to the rain. I felt misled. They could have informed me about the additional fee earlier instead of surprising me at checkout. It’s disappointing to encounter such practices from a brand known for its unique designs—especially when staff seem to exploit tourists for a few extra dollars. I hope management addresses this issue and takes appropriate action. Thank you for reading my comment!

Best clothes on the island. Italian design with Bali’s soul. Pricy for what it is but few options for chic cool design on the island.

Located in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, the Museum Rudana & Rudana Fine Art Gallery are cultural institutions dedicated to preserving and promoting Balinese art and culture. The museum showcases traditional Balinese paintings, sculptures, and artifacts while the fine art gallery features contemporary Balinese art.
A very well-maintained museum, the art pieces are very well located and distributed, it is an excellent destination for those who want to see a little more Balinese art, it is a very peaceful museum that is worth visiting.
Duvan T — Google review
Very nice museum with a lot of beautiful artwork, but probably because there are not many visitors it is very unkept, stuffy inside. The shields of old artwork is not readable as it’s old and the entrance level has just many artwork without any shields. i would still give the museum a 4 for the beautiful artwork if not for this one employee ( i think the one mentioned in other comments) who just followed me and waited until i leave - even tapped his fingers impatiently as i observed artworks. unacceptable… such a pity as i read in the guestbooks how much people loved this place since the 90s.

Very quiet and serene location off the beaten track. 100,000 rupiah per person. We came on a wednesday morning and were the only visitors. Quite a lot to see of varying genres and quality. The museum attendant was following us around which could be off putting for some. However, we enjoyed the experience of seeing some Balinese art and enjoyed the setting in which we saw it. We spent around an hour here. Nice cultural experience while in Ubud.

I’ll give it three stars because it’s an absolutely beautiful museum, a true hidden gem. Mesmerising views and garden. I was the only visitor there, which was a little sad, but I understand why. I was pestered by a worker and followed around for nearly an hour. I don’t know if he expected a tip, but I didn’t feel safe at all as a woman. I kindly asked him five times to let me explore the place on my own, really wanting some peace and quiet, but he wouldn’t stop following me, which gave me a lot of anxiety and I couldn’t view the artworks in peace, he was always about, burping occasionally and acting as a tour guide I never asked for. There was also an entire section filled with modern artworks for sale, and he led me through it, although I wasn’t interested in it. Tickets cost 50k.

Beautiful art museum that reflects part of the culture of Indonesian. Pictures at the 1st floor are stunning while photos on 2nd floor tell you more about daily life, history and culture of the country. The outside view is amazing with rice field and coconut trees. The museum is very quiet when we visited so I dont think we need to buy tickets in advance.

Amazing exhibition from contemporary to older art. The museum features both sculptures, paintings and other forms of art. Some of the large pieces are truly breathtaking. 3 floors. If you are interested in exploring the root of balinese art this museum is worth a visit. The grounds have sculptures which kids / children will find fun .
True C — Google review
Truly hidden gems, a must visit if you like local style paintings, or even just chilling around. There are 2 buildings (free and 50k entrance fee)

The gallery is deeply rooted in Balinese culture, curating a dynamic collection that includes traditional Balinese styles alongside fresh contemporary artworks. Been coming here from time to time since 2005. The gallery to go to check the latest contemporary art by (mostly) Indonesian artists. The staff is knowledgeable and sometimes you get lucky and able to chat with the artist about the artwork.

Very chic gallery of mostly younger up and coming Indonesian artists. I believe it is run as a collective by the artists exhibited. I mainly went there because they have some sculptures by Taman Pande Ketut, a painter and a sculptor. He does amazing sculptures with a miriad of small people. Each small figure is a detailed portrait. Amazing.

Ubud, Bali is where we can find fine art & culture experiences. Located in the center of Ubud, I come to Komeneka Fine Art gallery regularly where I can meet live artist and sometimes joining wonderful events. This October'21 I visited the gallery and met the management and painter, Bonuz. Amazing art works and very impresive when the painter told the story how he described 'mountains' Highly recommended for those Art lovers. This is by appointment only. Check out the events on IG Komaneka_gallery. Please rsvp earlier prior your arrival.

Fine dining restaurant
Room4Dessert, located in Ubud, Bali, is a renowned dessert bar helmed by New Yorker Will Goldfarb. The venue offers an avant-garde degustation menu of expertly paired desserts and award-winning cocktails indoors. Alternatively, guests can enjoy a Spanish tapas-style concept in the terrace garden featuring locally sourced products.
Really a great experience! This was the second time we had dinner here and it was great again! Especially the playful way of presenting and the huge taste bombs (due to local ingredients) I found super impressive. The tuna ham was really a source of inspiration. The use of local ingredients (also from your own garden where you get a tour) really adds something here instead of it getting a leading role. The people who work there are really involved in the product and very skilled in hospitality. The desserts are of course completely toptier and I recommend doing a cocktail pairing to surprise you even more and in my opinion have a better taste pairing than, for example, with wines. What a high level and we hope to eat here again in the future. Will and Team thank you!
Dirk P — Google review
This was an exquisite experience. The team were all delightful and we enjoyed seeing the plants they grow on site and the recycling initiatives before settling down to the first tasting area. The thought that has gone into each of the tiny and beautiful morsels is amazing - local ingredients with unusual combinations of flavours and each dish explained by one of the members of the team. The evening progresses through three zones of the restaurant each with their unique atmosphere for each phase of the tasting menu.

This was a luxurious dessert experience. So refined, memorable and far exceeding expectations. You wouldn't expect it from the name, but the service and presentation felt world class. Absolutely worth the price per person. The beverage pairings were thoughtful and creative, sometimes unexpected but always harmonious with the flavours. Each course was beautifully presented and expertly crafted. A word of advice: arrive hungry! The portions are generous and surprisingly filling. We couldn’t finish everything on the spot, but the team kindly packed up the rest and we got to enjoy it again the next day. 10/10.

The most incredible dining experience of our lives. We loved room 4 dessert, the attention to detail in everything from the setting, to the food, to the way you move around the restaurant as you go through the different courses was amazing. The service was wonderful, everyone was kind and attentive and very interested in making sure we had the best time. Can't recommend this enough if you are going to ubud
Ashleigh F — Google review
Truly amazing experience, the wine pairing is a must! Highlights for me were the most amazing tuna (pic 2) not normally a fan of “raw” fish but really wow, so tasty! The black sesame ice cream dessert hit some sweet and savoury notes that gives Asian crème brûlée vibes (pic5), unbelievable. The duck taco also (pic1). Could have eaten 10. A must try if you visit Ubud. We also got a ticket to return for free snacks at the powder room next door, very bohemian vibes with records playing and awesome coffee.

Have you ever felt the world stop just so you could taste heaven? Yes, I’m being that dramatic. Room4Dessert gives you the opportunity to taste, smell, feel and savor the taste of pleasure in your mouth. The entire experience is unbelievably unique. The service is top tier. I felt like they listened to me without being overly attentive. Don’t sleep on this spot!

I came to R4D by myself and it was such a nice experience from the very first moment I got greeted. Rhys and the rest of the team were so welcoming, you can really see how much training they have done because everything felt so smooth. From the garden to the entrance, every little detail was thought through. I started with the spiritless tasting menu and it was nothing short of amazing. You could tell how much the team, from the bartenders to the cooks to the servers, really loved what they were doing. Everyone was so knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the experience they were creating. The hospitality was on such a high level. The way the whole journey moved from one area to another felt unique. I haven’t seen anything quite like it before. It honestly made me feel like I was having dinner at someone’s home yet a high level tasting journey. The dishes and the mocktail pairing were definitely the highlight of the night. Every single one was fantastic. Even though I don’t usually eat everything, the small portions encouraged me to try new things and by the end I was completely satisfied. It was perfectly planned from start to finish and I just had a really lovely time. Big kudos to the team for all the thought and training they put into this place. And a special thanks to Rhys and Deva who made my dinner as a solo diner feel so comfortable and well taken care of.
Jorge S — Google review
This was such a great evening. We didn’t quite know what to expect… 15 courses… how were we going to eat all that?? But it was such a great experience. Eating in 3 different locations created this unique dining experience and the chef is seriously talented in creating all those courses, yes dessert heavy, although savory was just enough and really really good! If you are looking for that foodie experience this restaurant is definitely a must!

Vegan restaurant
Plant Bistro in Ubud is a popular spot for plant-based food enthusiasts. The restaurant offers a variety of vegan dishes that mimic the flavors of meat and seafood, such as tempe pasta ragu, gnocchi with pumpkin sage, and konjac salt and pepper calamari. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with attentive and knowledgeable staff. The menu features creative and flavorful plant-based options made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.
What an amazing surprise! Both my partner and I are not vegan, but we decided to try Plant Bistrot in Ubud—and we walked out completely impressed. From the first moment, the experience was flawless: the location is breathtaking, set in the peaceful Blanco Museum area, right above the river with stunning views that set the perfect mood. The menu is packed with creative, tempting options, and the flavors are simply “wow.” Every dish was rich, satisfying, and beautifully presented. Chef Simona, the owner and creative force behind it all, has truly crafted something special—probably the best vegan cuisine we've come across on the island. You can feel the passion and care in every bite. The presentation of each dish is top-notch, and the service matches the quality of the food: warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. Even as non-vegans, we were completely won over. This place proves that great food is great food—no matter the label. We’ll definitely be back, again and again, on every visit to Ubud. A must-try spot that deserves all the praise.

The place is classy and have elegant ambience, wide parking area, staff are lovely and helpful. The food is all vegan, as non vegan person the taste of the sushi was super delicious…. Refreshing juice but the green pesto not really recommend to non vegan person like me.

This vegan restaurant with a mix of cuisines, especially Italian, is honestly one of the best places we’ve ever eaten at. During our stay in Ubud, we came back about four times because we loved every single dish. The food is outstanding, the staff is so kind, and the place itself is beautiful. Truly a gem!! highly recommended!🤩

This place is AMAZING!!! Wow. I decided to try the tuna tartare for a starter, even though I’m very sceptical about vegan fish. I’ve never had a super realistic vegan fish, but I used to love tartare so decided to try it. It has absolutely blown my mind… this truly tastes just like raw tuna!! And it’s made from watermelon!! I know how crazy it sounds but you MUST try it. We also got the veal starter which was amazing😋. For mains we got the pollo and tenderloin- the texture of the steak wasn’t realistic to be honest, but it was still good, and the dish as a whole was fabulous. The pollo dish was nice! Finally we got macarons and tiramisu. Delicious! Overall I rate this place a 10/10 and will return to try more items from the huge menu. The menu is original with options for people who like faux meat or just vegetables. The waiters were lovely and efficient and the decor is incredibly beautiful. A couple at the table next to us were telling the waiter that they’re not vegan and couldn’t believe how delicious vegan food could be. Try this restaurant whether you’re vegan or eat meat!🩷

We just found this place while trying to escape from the busier Ubud center, and we absolutely loved everything about it. We only had some snacks, some drinks, a pistachio croissant for me, and a doughnut for my partner and everything was amazing. The space feels sacred, calm, refreshing, and so beautiful compared to the chaos of Ubud. We were also amazed by all the thoughtful details in the restaurant. The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and attentive. A true hidden gem!

We loved the gelato here and the interiors were stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed the view and the vibe of the place. We took our time with the gelato and fizzy water just chatting the day away and taking in the beauty of the plants 🌱 and insects 🐜 would totally recommend this place to anyone who happens to be in the area also worth a detour if you’re looking for plant based food with great views and interiors

This restaurant has a nice, elegant atmosphere with good parking and friendly, helpful staff. I had a really positive experience overall. The location is beautiful, and the menu has plenty of interesting options for both food and drinks. Everything tasted great and looked well prepared. The pizza was particularly good with a nice light crust that was both flavorful and filling. The dishes were nicely presented, and the service was solid. The staff were friendly and attentive. I'd definitely go back. It's a good spot that's worth checking out.

Ramu Kitchen, located in Ubud, Bali, is a philosophy-driven restaurant that emphasizes the farm-to-plate experience by collaborating with Balinese farmers to showcase locally-sourced ingredients. The menu features Asian and European fusion dishes made from the island's soil and ocean bounty. Visitors praise the unusual and beautiful cuisine, likening it to a little Italy. The attentive staff and delightful atmosphere with a beautiful view and large swimming pool add to the overall dining experience.
Outstanding dining experience. Exceptional atmosphere, service and most importantly off the charts food. Every dish was stunning in terms of taste and presentation. 1000% recommend. Also brilliant value for money compared to my home currency (uk). Felt like a Michelin star experience for £30 a head .

Went there for our anniversary dinner, and was looking forward to try the duck and steak but unfortunately, 4 dishes in their mains weren’t available. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our starters— ramu salmon and squid udon. The ambiance is good for a date night. Also enjoyed the live music where guests can sing-along in the mini stage. Relatively cheap for a fine dining resto (at least compared to the ones in Manila).

The place is amazing, its architecture is wonderful, the entire experience is really nice. The food was great, I had the Lobster 🦞 and was amazing. But If you're vegan... even so, they had few vegan options, and I wouldn't consider any of the options nutritious. We order them, They were all deep-fried, sadly. They need to consider serving proper vegan options also, suitable for everyone. I mean, since we are in Bali, tempeh and tofu are a vegan protein and you can do so much with that...

Kicked off our first night in Bali with an amazing dinner. The ambience was incredible, made even better by a live jazz band playing while we were there. The service was flawless too — truly top-notch. Highly recommend trying their aged duck ssam and tacos! Kak Eka took great care of us and made sure we had a wonderful night, making the whole dining experience even more memorable. Would absolutely love to come back for another chill, relaxing dinner.

We had an amazing dinner here, the duck and lamb mains were absolutely delicious, and sauces and sides equally good. The service was outstanding, so attentive and thoughtful. You forget what true hospitality feels like untill you come to Bali and it’s simply beyond stellar. A wonderful experience from start to finish!

This is the restaurant at the hotel we stayed at. The atmosphere is great, with a live band, excellent lighting, and fans that make it very comfortable. The food tastes amazing, and we were very satisfied with everything we tried. There’s a good selection of cocktails, with some great deals as well. This place is famous for its duck dishes, and the other appetizers were also excellent. The Tacos were a delightful surprise. The dessert, Sticky Rice, was delicious. We will definitely come back again. The staff Padmini was very attentive and welcoming.

A Hidden Gem in Ubud! I had an amazing experience at this restaurant in Ubud. The food was absolutely delicious—each dish was full of fresh, vibrant flavors and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into the cooking. But what truly made this place special was the atmosphere. Surrounded by lush greenery and with a peaceful, relaxing vibe, it felt like a little oasis. Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner or a quiet lunch, this place offers the perfect setting. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Ubud!

Warung Citta Ovest Pizza & Pasta is a cozy eatery nestled in Ubud, Bali, offering an array of delectable pizza and pasta dishes. Despite being managed by two local Balinese individuals, the cuisine remains authentically Italian. This spot is perfect for those seeking a departure from traditional Indonesian food. The menu features a variety of mouthwatering salads, pastas, and pizzas at reasonable prices, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers.
Best pizza and pasta in Ubud for a cheap price. Don’t trust the bad review! We have eaten here every single night (5 times). I love the ice lemon tea it comes with free lime. The pasta portion is really huge for the price. Pizza has so much cheese on it , love it. Not many seats so come early in the evening

Excelant Italian food. It is hard to find a real italian resturant that know to make it as in Italy. This is one of them. The pizzas, passta, all do by the book, and the charge a dissent price. The service was a little bit slow because there eas only one waiter, on a full capacity eaters. But she try it best. The place also nice set on the street, you can view from the balcony.
Bar S — Google review
Had the Spaghetti Salmone Cream and Salami Pizza, both were authentically Italian and well-executed. Pasta was rich with generous cheese and cream; pizza had a solid crust and a properly reduced tomato base. Seating is limited to 7 tables, making it romantic and ideal for dates, but not suited for large groups. Very reasonable price.
Raena N — Google review
Food is fine, delivery method is terrible. They use paper box for a saucy pasta. When food came, the box is already completely soft and all messed up. Sauce was all outside. Consider they’ve done it so many times I need to speak up this time. They also forgot all my chillies flake which I put in CAPITAL in the order. Just extra plastic.

We eat pizza here every time, and it’s always absolutely delicious — we can definitely recommend it! A little extra tip: try dipping your pizza crust in the green pesto — it’s amazing!

Cheap and cheerful lunch done right. One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. That thin, crispy base is perfection. We shared the vegetarian, eggplant & gorgonzola, and pepperoni. Simple, delicious, and just what we needed whilst exploring Ubud. $27 AUD for three pizzas and three cans of sparkling water.
