Plaza
Cafe
Piazzetta di Capri, the heart of the island, is a small square with stunning views and several cafes and bars. It's a popular spot for celebrities to be seen, with paparazzi always present but respecting their privacy. The area is known for its celebrity sightings, making it a hotspot for those in the spotlight. The Japanese restaurant Kukai Capri is located nearby on via Listrieri and offers a blend of Capri and Japanese design elements.
Lovely tourist spot. We went there in a peak of tourist season, so it was absolutely busy with people, but you have to expect that. Lovely place to spot a celebrity, shop high end goods or just stroll the narrow mesmerising streets of Capri full of charm and character.
Sanna G — Google review
Don't take that silly tram. Take the walking route from the dock! You'll see lovely lovely flowers, lemon groves, and architecture along the way. Plus you won't spend 30-60 minutes in line for a ~2 min ride. The Piazzetta itself was... Very busy. Pretty area. Great views of the sea in certain spots. I know the plaza management itself can't necessarily control this, but you won't find a restaurant, cafe, shop, limonata cart, etc. charging reasonable prices. Expect a premium cost on everything. I'd personally recommend finding less 'touristy' areas in Capri or Ana Capri to get lunch, beverages and such. Nice to walk through, get something small, but don't drain your wallet here. There are other options if you're willing to walk a bit.
Bryan R — Google review
A place with an incredible view of Capri. Perfect spot to stop for a drink and just take in the scenery. Ideal for unwinding, breathing deeply, and enjoying the surroundings. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a peaceful and visually unforgettable experience.

Absolutely gorgeous. Spend the day. We had a sandwich when we departed the ferry. Lemon Gelato is a must. Love the perfume I bought one of my favorite souvenirs. We took a boat tour around the island and saw some of the best views.
Jennifer L — Google review
Very central to the island you can go to many nice places once you arrive. From the main port I suggest just getting a bus ticket and taking it up. Also many nice photos and walking points. Very beautiful view as well.
Angel S — Google review
Great food, service, and view from top floor. Loved having dinner here. Recommend making a dinner reservation if you can, but you'll likely get in without one.

Very beautiful coastal city. Lots of shops. Restaurants and beautiful scenery! We took a ferry from Naples. Buy the ferry tickets in advance.

Giardini di Augusto, also known as the Gardens of Augustus, is a picturesque botanical garden located in Capri. The garden offers sweeping views of the sea and the village of Marina Piccola below. It features a footpath that leads to the village and provides a classic view of the Faraglioni rock formations.
No queue to entry, tickets can be purchased at a vending machine right outside (no cash accepted). The only wait i had to do is to take pictures at the watch points. The garden is not so big, but the view is breathtaking. 😄 Right next to the garden you will find the roof top bar which has excellent cocktails next to the same mesmerising view.
Hilda P — Google review
The gardens of Augustus is a beautiful mountaintop garden which has a few statues and benches but it's main selling point is the view at the top. If you are on a tour and don't have much time I would recommend, as it's easy enough to get to and is a stunning "Instagram worthy" spot. Of course you have to pay to get in which you can do via a QR code or buying tickets. You can pay in your own currency on the app, which I thought was cool. I think £4 for a tiny garden with a view is milking it though, I think it should be done on a donation basis. You'll have people everywhere posing at every which angle so find a few good spots, take some snaps and get out of there!
JB R — Google review
€2.50 per person for entry and not sure its worth it. It is essentially 10m2 of grass with some flowers, several view points towards the faraglioni and a couple more on the other side towards the Via Krupp. Some good views of the faraglioni rocks but lots of people in the way taking photos of course. The views are just as good at the roof terrace next door and you can have a drink whilst enjoying the view! Win win
B M — Google review
Beautiful views and definitely worth a visit to get some memorable pictures. Lots of places to sit and relax but you’re not allowed to eat there. Entry was €2.5 and definitely worth the views.
Tina S — Google review
Nice and well maintained gardens. Entrance fee of €2,50 a person. Plenty of scenic viewpoints. Make sure to arrive as early as possible to prevent having to navigate the tourist groups that start arriving as early as of 09:30. They open at 09:00, and since it’s a small garden between 09:00 and 09:30 is a very nice window to see it all in all tranquility.(excluding the via Krupp)
Evan — Google review
Lovely gardens atop of Capri full of colorful flower beds running along narrow paths, shady trees and statues - a peaceful oasis with gorgeous views. The small entry fee is certainly worth it, there is a vending machine inside selling cold bottled water for 1€. From there you can take the switch back path down to Marina Piccola, it took us about 30 minutes.
FLnurseER1 — Google review
After our ferry ride, we made our way to the Garden of Augustus. The views were truly magnificent, and the serene atmosphere made for a perfect escape. The vibrant colors of the flowers against the deep blue of the sea were a sight to behold. However, the experience was slightly marred by the cost of entry. It felt like a bit of a rip-off to pay €2.50 per person for such a small area. What was even more frustrating was the price of water. Having to shell out €2.50 for a tiny 300ml bottle felt like pure exploitation, especially on a hot day. It's a shame that a place of such natural beauty has to resort to such practices to squeeze every penny out of its visitors.
Pavan N — Google review
Lovely little garden in an amazing location. The statues and plants are very nice, and the grounds are very well maintained. The really impressive aspect is the surrounding architecture, particularly the switchback ramp leading all 100+ meters down to the sea.

Belvedere Tragara is a must-visit spot in Capri, offering one of the most stunning views on the island. The viewpoint provides an up-close look at the Faraglioni, three rocky peaks off the southeast coast. Accessible via charming narrow pathways and flanked by elegant villas, this beautiful location is less crowded than other viewpoints. The breathtaking scenery and proximity to the town center make it well worth a visit for anyone exploring Capri.
Such a breathtaking view at the end of the charming narrow pathways of Capri. Dotted with glimpses of the sea at first from houses and restaurants here and there. There are only a few signages to get there, best download an offline map. This one is also the nearest viewpoint amongst all. Takes about 20~30 minutes from the center of the town.

Belvedere Tragara is one of Capri’s most stunning viewpoints, offering a panoramic vista of the iconic Faraglioni rock formations and the deep blue Tyrrhenian Sea. Located at the end of a picturesque walkway lined with elegant villas and lush greenery, it exudes timeless charm. A peaceful spot away from the crowds, perfect for photography or quiet reflection. A must-visit for anyone exploring Capri’s natural beauty.

Definitely worth the walk over here once you're in Capri Town. Even in high season (but early in the day) it was a beautiful walk and not too crowded. Amazing views of Marina Piccola and Faraglioni.
Neil S — Google review
Definitely worth a visit. There is a reasonably well marked path from the centre of Capri to the Belvedere Tragara and then you can also choose to walk onwards to the Arco Naturale before heading back to town. The whole walk incl. the Arco took us around 1.5h with a lunch break.

Lovely walk through the nicer part of town, down a flat and easily managed walkway. Several views and photo opportunities of the beautiful scenery as you go, no need to rush here..... but when you do get here.... wow.

Natural Arch is a stunning arch-shaped rock formation from the Paleolithic age that overlooks the sea and can be accessed by a trail. It is located on the east coast of Capri, offering outstanding views of the impossibly blue sea.
Walking there was quite tough, but to make it easier I suggest to reach the place from Via Matermània. In this way you'll walk down many steps, which is better than climbing them. All the rest of the path (Pizzo Luongo) will be fine to walk through. The view is stunning and you will have the occasion to see the beautiful Casa Malaparte from above.
Simona A — Google review
Well sign posted, concrete path for most of the way. Lots of steps, but not too hard. About half hr there including photo stops
Brian N — Google review
Yes, this is a superb spot on Capri, and you shouldn't miss this! To reach it from the port, you cat take the funicular, for 2.4 € and then to take a short and easy walk. At the end of the oath you will find a terrace, which you should cross and go down on the stairs. This are the beauties of the nature and we should enjoy but also protect and preserve them, so please don't leave any rubbish behind.
Anastasia G — Google review
Worth the 20-30 minute walk. We arrived earlier in day so very few people and so we could sit and take in the view. A cute walk to get to it, too. Returning to Capri though there were hoards of people headed to the arch which would make it not as enjoyable (for me, anyway!).
Carolyn D — Google review
A great hike while visiting Capri. Lots of up and down as you would expect but well worth the effort as the arch is beautiful and the views of the sea breathtaking.

Don’t go down the stairs! Continue straight THRU the restaurant. Beautiful view 😍

When getting here, do not take the coast path (or not first anyway, there are 600 stept to climb). Much better to take the southern route on the way back from the Arco naturale.

Island
Capri is a picturesque island known for its resorts, shops, and restaurants. The stunning mountaintop scenery and the famous Blue Grotto are some of the main attractions here. Visitors can explore various dining options such as Ristorante "Il Riccio," Da Paolino Restaurant, and Buonocore Gelateria Pasticceria Gastronomia e Tavola Calda.
This island was as beautiful as advertised - even with lots of other tourists in early July. The streets are clean, buildings are bright, flowers are spectacular everywhere, shopping is solid, and we found a gorgeous view at a restaurant called Cari on the Rooftop. We also enjoyed a breathtaking cliffside walk on Via Krupp and highly recommend it. We did Capri as a 6-hour visit by ferry from Sorrento.
Kris T — Google review
It was a perfect day with a boat trip around the island. The island is very beautiful .

I really loved it such a great experience! I highly recommend it. Trying the less popular spots makes the experience even better and more delicious than the well-known restaurants or ice cream places.

Lovely but overloaded with tourists. I am a tourist but just too much. Would return but off season. Taxis a rip off. Locals friendly, food and coffee lovely. Beautiful churches and scenery
Martin O — Google review
I honestly don’t understand how Capri has such amazing reviews. If I had to guess, I’d say most of them come from influencers trying to look rich, or from people who actually are rich — the kind of crowd that either doesn’t notice poor service, or gets treated better because of how much they spend. Money wasn’t the issue for us — we came prepared to spend and enjoy ourselves — but we’re also realistic people who understand the value of money, and honestly, Capri is absurdly overpriced. You pay €9 for a Coke, €20–€30 for a cocktail, and €20–€50 for a single dish — and for what? The food, in most places, was shockingly bad, especially considering it’s Italian cuisine. We only had one decent meal during our stay, and even that wasn’t impressive. It just feels like people here charge as much as possible while putting in the least possible effort. And then there’s the friendliness — or rather, the complete lack of it. This was the red thread throughout our trip. Out of everyone we met, the few who were actually kind didn’t come from Capri itself — they were from Naples or other parts of Italy. Honestly, I just don’t get the hype — Capri is completely overrated. When you read the reviews, people either warn you “don’t come in July or August, it’s way too crowded,” or they say “don’t come off-season, nothing is open.” We went at the end of the season (October), and even then, it was still extremely busy during the day, yet the locals already seemed tired of tourists — all the friendliness and energy were gone. So really, when are you supposed to come? Because it seems like it’s either too crowded, too rude, or too dead. Yes, the views are beautiful, but that’s nature’s work, not Capri’s. The island itself isn’t more beautiful than many others I’ve seen. I’ve lived in Malta, and it’s just as stunning. I’ve been to Lanzarote, which I found far more unique. Even Monaco and Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Santorini, Nice.., which are also expensive, at least feel worth their price — they’re impressive, they have class, and you truly get what you pay for. Capri? Not so much. The shopping area is, to be fair, quite elegant — lined with high-end designer stores and luxury boutiques. What surprised me was that there’s no visible security, so if you actually want to shop in peace, this might be the place for you. Perhaps that’s part of Capri’s appeal to the wealthy crowd. Still, I can’t imagine it being relaxing during the high tourist season, when the narrow streets are packed. We visited towards the end of the season, and even then, the attitude of the staff was noticeably cold. So if you want a place where you can shop in style but still be treated with basic friendliness, you’re probably better off going to Monaco or Saint-Tropez — both are elegant, impressive, and much more welcoming. Want to go luxury shopping in Italy specifically? Go to Milan, it’s maybe not that high class as Capri but at least the food is decent. So who would enjoy Capri? Probably two types of people: 1. Those who don’t care about spending and don’t mind being treated poorly, and 2. Those who come here just for the photos, to post on social media and say, “Look, I’ve been to Capri.” If you fall into one of those categories, you’ll probably love it. If you value kindness, authenticity, and actual quality, you’ll likely leave disappointed. The only place I’d genuinely recommend visiting is Anacapri. It’s less fancy, sure, but the people there were warmer, friendlier, and much more genuine. It proves that the issue isn’t tourism — it’s attitude. And one more strange thing: most of Capri only opens during the tourist season. You’d think they’d treat those few months — and their guests — with care, but sadly, they don’t. So yes, while Capri is beautiful, I can’t give more than one star. The views alone aren’t enough to make up for the arrogance, the prices, and the lack of basic friendliness. Even if I were a billionaire, I don’t think I’d spend my money here.
Jennifer — Google review
Capri is simply breathtaking a place that will amaze you from the very first moment. We took the ferry from the port of Naples, very comfortable, and in just one hour we were on the island. I recommend starting in Anacapri, taking the bus up to enjoy its quiet streets and unique views. Then head down to the center of Capri, a charming area filled with shops, cafes, and a unique Mediterranean atmosphere. To end the day, there’s nothing better than refreshing yourself in the crystal-clear waters of its beach a true paradise. An unforgettable experience!

Landmark
Villa Jovis, also known as Villa of Jupiter, is the remains of a lavish Roman palace constructed by Emperor Tiberius in AD 27 on a headland. The site offers stunning views and can be accessed by foot. According to historical accounts, the emperor indulged in luxury at this mountaintop villa, adorning it with explicit artwork and allegedly engaging in scandalous activities.
Visiting Villa Jovis was an unforgettable experience. The site is rich with history, and walking through the ruins where Emperor Tiberius once lived gives you a real sense of the ancient world. The views from the cliffs are absolutely breathtaking some of the most stunning panoramas you’ll see in Capri. It’s a bit of a hike to reach (about 40 minutes uphill from Capri town), so bring comfortable shoes and water, but it’s well worth the effort. The combination of history, atmosphere, and scenery makes Villa Jovis a must see for anyone visiting the island. Highly recommended if you love history, archaeology, or just want to enjoy some of the most beautiful views in Capri.
Euclides R — Google review
Visited October 2024. Approximately a one hour walk from Capri town the Villa is at the summit of Mount Tiberius - sounds daunting but not really. The path leading to the villa is paved/tarmac/concrete and is wheelchair (wheel) friendly. Having said that this is a two-thousand year old site, wheels would be very difficult once inside. A wonderful piece of history with a modest entrance fee and a relaxed atmosphere once inside. Restored in places but most of the structure looks authentically old. With panoramic views of The Bay of Naples including a fantastic view of Sorrento, if you make the effort you will be rewarded when you get there.
P B — Google review
A must visit for anyone going to Capri and interested in history. The ruins are not well preserved but still worth seeing and walking through. The walk from the port is not for the weak, particularly during the summer heat. Be prepared for equivalent of about 102 flights of stairs (per my garmin watch) to get there. Along the way, many grocers and shops to stop and get a refreshment to stay cool on the way up and dozens of places for lunch in the way down. Tip, don’t go to the places in busy touristy areas. Find a spot all by itself, there are many.
Sergio B — Google review
An large villa with a really interesting history. Read up on Tiberio Augusto before you visit and then let those stories come to life! Entrance is a reasonable price and the park next to it with the cliff top path is amazing. And ad its Capri through views are stunning.
Ben M — Google review
Get ready for quite the trek. A lot of stairs up and up hill walking. The history of this place interesting and the views were amazing, but I definitely would never do it again!
Natalie S — Google review
Ugo made this visit more than we could possibly have anticipated. Thanks Ugo! We happened to arrive in time for his post lunch tour of the grounds and we learned a great deal. His info and insight into the location and island were a genuine highlight of the trip to Capri. The villa itself is a surprisingly huge complex, with a major water collection system, strangely topped by a catholic chapel built above it before they realised Emperor Tiberius' palatial villa was underneath. Amazing views also from the chapel and the park next door where we saw goats for the only time on the 3 day visit. It's an uphill trek and there's a great 20min forest short cut across to Villa Lysis which is worth seeing in combination with Villa Jovis but bring a packed lunch or allow enough time. The gardens, houses and sleeping cats along the way made this an even better excursion. I started this review at 4 stars for Villa Jovis but the whole trip was 5 stars.
Josic C — Google review
Absolutely stunning views from Villa Jovis. The ruins themselves are interesting as well, but the five star views are the real reason to make the trek. There is another small park about 100m before the entry to Villa Jovis, which is worth a look as well. We stayed at Hotel Marmela and it was about a 35 minute walk along paved walkways and a few flights of stairs. The walkways are beautiful and very quiet before 1030 am. After that, you will start seeing the day tours. We were there at 1015 and were the only people at the Villa. 6 Euro entry fee and there are toilets at the site.
Patrick C — Google review
Worth the hike but be aware it is demanding with some steep segments to get there. The views are worth the hike. 6 euro entrance. Once inside you can walk around the site and take your photos. We did Villa Jovis first as soon as we got to Capri and then Natural Arch.

Mountain cable car
When visiting Anacapri, one of the main attractions is the Monte Solaro Chair Lift. This single-seater chairlift has been taking tourists to the top of Monte Solaro for almost seventy years, providing a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of Capri during its thirteen-minute ascent. At the summit, visitors are amazed by the beautiful views. The line moves quickly and there are beautiful sights along the way up.
The wait is usually around 5 minutes and you can buy your ticket right on the spot, which makes it very convenient. The ride itself is a delight — single chairs give you a peaceful and scenic journey, with the views on the way back being particularly breathtaking. Once you reach the top, the panorama is absolutely spectacular. There’s also a small café where you can enjoy a coffee or grab a quick snack while taking in the view. This experience is absolutely worth it!
Sokratis M — Google review
Good experience, the line for it was very long but went relatively quickly. I wish it had a tent or some covering because I felt like I was getting sun burnt. Other than that the view at the top is great and the experience is good. There is also a restaurant on the top I didn’t know about until I got there. Would recommend if you have two hours.
Peter N — Google review
The Monte Solaro Chair Lift experience was one of the most beautiful moments of my trip to Capri. From the moment I sat on the seat and slowly ascended to the top, I felt like I was in another world, surrounded by breathtaking nature and unforgettable views. The ride to the top takes about 13 minutes, but they are minutes filled with tranquility, where you hear nothing but the sounds of birds and the gentle sea breeze. The view from the top is absolutely stunning. You can see the entire stretch of the Italian coastline, the crystal-clear blue waters, and the whole island of Capri from a magical panoramic perspective. At the summit, there is a small café where you can stop for a refreshing drink or a light snack while enjoying the view. What I also loved is that the experience is suitable for everyone—it’s calm, safe, and doesn’t require much physical effort. As for the wait time, it was very short; it only took a few minutes to get on, which made the experience even more comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend anyone visiting Capri to set aside time to go up Monte Solaro on the chair lift. It’s a unique opportunity to capture amazing photos and enjoy the beauty of the Italian landscape from a completely different perspective. For me, it was worth every minute, and I would definitely do it again on my next visit.

Amazing cable car experience! The single-seat ride takes about 13 minutes each way and offers breathtaking 360-degree views — the sea, Naples, the surrounding mountains, and the entire bay. The ascent is peaceful and scenic, with every moment revealing a new angle of this stunning region. Reaching the summit feels like standing above the world, surrounded by beauty on all sides. Definitely worth it — one of the highlights of our trip!

The Monte Solaro chairlift was a definite highlight of our trip to Capri. While the €28 cost for two people felt a bit steep, the experience itself was 100% worth it. The ride was just the right length—long enough to soak in the incredible views, but short enough to keep the little bit of a thrilling, scary feeling from becoming overwhelming. The panoramas from the top were truly amazing. A small but significant detail that stood out was the kindness of the restaurant staff at the top. They gave us coupons to use the restroom, which was a thoughtful gesture. It's a shame that after paying €28 for the ride, we would have had to spend another €2 to use a bathroom, but their action prevented that from becoming another frustrating, nickel-and-dime experience.
Pavan N — Google review
Monte Solaro chair lift offers great views of the island and ocean. You get breathtaking aerial view of Anacapri and the buildings. Watch for the chair rail free floating front bars that don’t lock in place. So hold on tight and enjoy the view. A cafe awaits you up top of the cliff where you can order drinks, food and tea/coffee. You pay for toilettte facility. There’s a boutique for shopping but the highlight is the view from the cliff and a small garden. The rock formations in the ocean offer a spectacular view from top and you can also see Ischia and Naples at a distance. This is a must do activity in Anacapri.

Must visit when on Capri! We had one of the best views in our lives here, sea color was fantastic. Chair lift is an experience in itself, not dangerous and with amazing 360 degree views all the way up and down. Don’t be afraid! It closes early so plan in advance, but it’s really really worth it.

Absolutely spectacular views. Google maps has wrong times on it, but the website is correct. Open later on Saturdays we went up about 6pm… hardly anyone on it or up at the top. There’s a lovely bar with fantastic views… it’s not open for sunset but you still get a great haze. Honestly the best thing I’ve done in the entire Amalfi coast & for €14 rtn it’s a bargin.

Restaurant
Columbus Capri Bar Ristorante offers an exclusive dining experience with a breathtaking view of the city's skyline. This centrally located restaurant has been serving authentic Italian food for over 30 years, earning a reputation for excellence. Visitors can enjoy a meal on the nice outdoor terrace area, which isn't overly crowded. The restaurant also offers cooking classes that provide an exceptional and warm experience, making visitors feel like part of the family.
We weren’t sure where to eat while wandering around Anacapri, but luckily we bumped into Edoardo who invited us into Columbus Capri — and wow!! From the cocktails to the appetizers and main courses, everything was amazing. Honestly, this was one of the best meals I had during my whole trip through Europe. The vibe of the place is also perfect — really stylish and beautiful inside, and the views from the top floor are incredible. Huge shoutout to all the staff too — they were so friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience feel special. If you're in Anacapri, don’t miss this spot. It’s a 10/10 across the board.

Best meal we have had in Italy so far. All the food was super fresh and well done. The green salad was exceptional — hard to find a salad like this in Italy (usually you just get plain romaine and maybe a few tomatoes). They take care of the little details by putting fresh grated cheese, lemon zest, and olive oil on top. The caprese salad had the best mozzarella I have ever tasted. The fish of the day was perfectly cooked and came with a delicious assortment of grilled vegetables. We tried two desserts and they were both perfect. The service was excellent - they taught us about the olive oil trees of the region and let us taste different olive oils. The restaurant itself is beautiful — the owner has been growing the ivy on the walls for over 26 years. It is a gorgeous place to take pictures.

If i could leave 7 stars I would do it for Columbus Capri Bar Ristorante! Everything was flawless! A family restaurant that makes traditional food. Fresh oil and vegetables, amazing meat and fish of the day and a pasta made on heavens!

A trip to Italy is often filled with incredible food, but our lunch at Columbus Capri Bar Ristorante stands out as the absolute finest dining experience we had. From the moment we stepped onto their beautiful patio, we were captivated by the panoramic views of the sea, creating a truly unforgettable backdrop for our meal. The commitment to quality was evident in every dish, with a menu built around organic, locally sourced ingredients that tasted incredibly fresh. Beyond the food, what truly elevated our afternoon was the warmth and genuine passion of the owners. They were not just running a restaurant; they were sharing a piece of their home with us, offering personalized recommendations and sharing stories that made us feel completely at ease. This wasn't just a meal; it was a deeply personal and delicious experience that we will cherish long after our trip.

My husband and I had just a short day in Capri and decided to head up to Anacapri without a reservation for lunch (not recommended). I was hoping for something bougie but relaxed, and after calling around, most places were either fully booked or a bit extreme in pricing or logistics. Then we reached out to Columbus via WhatsApp, and they were so chill and welcoming. Little did we know we were about to have one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time, and we’ve had many! The owners radiate hospitality and our server, was incredible. They went out of their way to cater to our tastes, impress us, and be generous. Every dish was impeccable, beautifully prepared, and full of heart. We will always remember this experience. Meeting the team was such a joy, and we hope everyone has a chance to discover this gem in Anacapri. It’s a perfect restaurant, bougie yet relaxed, and utterly unforgettable. Grazie mille from Canada!

I can truly not say enough good things about this restaurant. This whole family is absolutely incredible. This establishment deserves five stars all the way around. We came all the way from Scottsdale, Arizona with the intention of experiencing true authentic Italian food. We had booked a last-minute Airbnb experience that went south and this restaurant Made our experience 100 times better. Not only did they give us a true authentic Italian food tasting but the whole family was involved making sure that we had the most incredible time. 10 out of 10. Will be back thank you so much for The best!!

Visited on 10/14 and sat on the outdoor porch area. Weather was nice, Vibes were good, the waiter was nice. We ordered 3 food items and 2 beverages for 2 people which came out to be €83. Lemme break it downnnnn Fritto Misto €18.50 : fried noodle patties, sticks of carrots, eggplant and zucchini. no seafood. Ravioli capresi €18.50: it was tasty but I got only 1 tomato tho, which was so sparse, different from all the photos I saw in the reviews. Pasta with clams €22.00: alright. 3.5/5 Limoncello €13.50: couldn’t find it on the menu so we just asked for it. Still water €3.5: good Table charge €3.5/person Remember to ask for itemized receipt and not be a pair of confused American tourists like us lol FYI, we didn’t get an itemized bill so we were confused on the prices. After the response below, the restaurant clarified the prices separately and this review has been updated to reflect the actual cost of each items.

Bar
Located on Capri's famous piazzetta, il Piccolo is the oldest bar in town and a popular choice for pre-dinner aperitifs and people-watching. It offers a central location, good coffee, and friendly staff. The pastries are decent, and they also serve high-quality drinks. Whether you choose to sit down or take away, be prepared for slightly higher prices typical of the area.
Had the gnocchi Sorrento dish and it was lovely! So tasty. Staff was friendly kind and helpful. We loved the food and the Irish Coffee was good. Lemoncello spritz was perfect. We will be back!

As an Italian I was ashamed to fall for this trap. I would encourage the consumers association to look into them for fraudulent behavior. The owners pushed for us to sit instead of having our breakfast at the till. Instead of charging a cover charge (as it is customary in Italy) they presented me with a bill where all items were 5 times more than what they should have been. This is obviously dishonest and it is the kind of behavior tagged drives visitors away. Despite loving this island I will personally not set foot in Capri anymore and make sure to spread the word.
Stefano L — Google review
Il Piccolo is a café situated in the main piazza at the center of Capri. It’s one of the first places you see where you can sit once you reach the top—making it the perfect setup for a tourist trap. Yes, the croissants were delicious, the espresso hit the spot, and the cappuccino was the perfect start to the morning. But they are clearly price gouging their customers—charging 10 euros for an espresso and another 10 euros for a cappuccino. Just a short walk down one of the nearby streets, you can find charming little cafés serving the same drinks for 3–4 euros. My wife, son and I had a cappuccino, double espresso, a couple croissants and a warm glass of milk that cost 55 euros. While prices in Capri are generally high, this felt excessive. Do yourself a favor and skip the main square. Wander down one of the quaint, narrow alleyways instead, find a small café, lean against the bar, and enjoy your coffee and homemade pastries for a fraction of the cost—and a much more authentic experience.
Spencer D — Google review
Just because we had no time ti choise the place and but go far away from the city centre where we expected lower prices we were shocked of the choice but no doubt. Soft drinks for 10€??? Coffee for 8-9€??? Pizza is for a similar price and it was really delicious. At least one good point 👌

I’m incredibly disappointed by how I was treated at Il Piccolo. I came in, ordered drinks, and sat down to feed my baby—something any parent would naturally need to do. I had brought a small container of food for my child, who is still a baby, and without warning, I was approached by an older man who rudely told me I was being disrespectful for feeding him. He went as far as to say I was “not educated” and claimed he had “never seen anyone do this”—as if caring for your child in a café was somehow outrageous. Instead of offering understanding or kindness, I was made to feel unwelcome and embarrassed. As someone who had already ordered from the café, this treatment was completely unacceptable. No one should be spoken to that way—especially not a parent simply trying to feed their child. I won’t be returning, and I would not recommend this place to anyone who values basic decency or hospitality.

Le Monzu, located in the prestigious Manfredi Fine Hotels Collection on the cliffs of Punta Tragara in Capri, offers a contemporary dining experience with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Faraglioni rock formations. The restaurant's terrace provides an unforgettable setting for lunch or dinner, where Chef Luigi Lionetti presents a menu that skillfully combines traditional and innovative dishes using local flavors.
The menu is very well structured offering tasting menu but also individualized choice. Food is excellent, presenting local mediterranean ingredients in original compositions with charm. Service is top. It was nice of chef Pedana to greet the guests during the evening.

It’s ok. Only a couple of the dishes are worth it, the rest are just trying too hard. Service is professional and location spectacular. Great wine variety. It’s a good place but you’re not missing anything special compared to other 1 stars.
David R — Google review
Great food, poor attitude towards families We visited Lemonzu for a special lunch and were initially impressed — the food was excellent, the ambiance elegant, and the service professional. However, the experience was deeply soured by the behavior of the owner. After a generous bill and an enjoyable time, the owner abruptly and rudely asked our children to leave the pool area. Regardless of the reason, a venue of this standard should know how to communicate with respect — especially to families who are clearly enjoying the space and behaving respectfully. For that reason, I cannot recommend this place to anyone traveling with children. Beautiful location, but very poor hospitality values when it comes to families.

The essence of our dining experience can be summed up as. That’s interesting… but I’m not interested. (Shoutout love on the spec) This is a 1 Michelin star restaurant. The star comes as an award for incredible taste and mastery of flavor. While the service was incredible, the plating was art. The flavor, the taste, the what you would hope for was not bad, it just was not good. We hope to share for awareness for those choosing a dining destination. The views, the experience, the atmosphere. Incredible. Just be prepared for an adventurous meal, where the flavors… interesssting.

We were looking forward to this Michelin star experience. The tasting menu options like in most Michelin star restaurants locked you into the same courses for the table, but we went ala carte based on options. It was a good dining experience, but not great especially for the price you are paying (~350 euro's per person with drinks).

The menu also includes classic cocktails, non-alcoholic fruit-based drinks, premium liquors, and a selection of sparkling wines. The terrace provides an unforgettable view of the Faraglioni and Marina Piccola bay at sunset.
Yes it hurts the wallet a little but the view, service and food are outstanding. The lobster pasta is my new death row meal. We came back 3 nights in a row it was that good. Live a little and enjoy the view.

The Blue Grotto is a famous sea cave that can be reached by boat. It is renowned for its stunning bright blue waters, which are a result of the sunlight reflecting off the surface. This attraction is part of a larger collection of sightseeing spots and fun activities on Capri island, offering visitors opportunities to experience local culture, dine at great restaurants, find budget-friendly accommodations, shop, party, and relax.
It’s an awesome experience. We got the bus down from Ana Capri (which was an experience in itself…). The queue was about 2hrs long and it was in the heat down the steps but we bought water and fans from the shop you pass through. The boat tour is absolute chaos but brilliant fun and once inside the grotto it’s lovely and you get serenaded by the skippers. Worth the wait. They were all done by 2:30pm as the waters were high so best get there early
Danny W — Google review
The cave and the color of the water is amazing. It was an adventurous experience to change the boat . Quite a wonder that it worked out fine. The waiting time to get in the cave is really long und it was so tight in this small boat. Thank god I took a pill to prevent a motion sickness otherwise it would be a torture. Well, altogether it was an experience but it really expensive. I really don’t know for sure if it worth it.
Som M — Google review
It is an experience that is a "must do" if you are visiting Capri. We were there early at 8:15am, and were literally the 2nd group in line. They start the tours at 9am. They started a little early, and we were actually out of the cave and on shore at 9am. We had thought it was going to take almost 2 hours (which is definitely possible because by the time we were out, there were 50 people in the line on shore, and a couple dozen boats of people waiting for the small boats to pick them up 4 at a time to go into the cave).
Keith E — Google review
Very much a tourist trap, only do it if you have the means for it. Costs about 18€ per person and an additional 10€ for the boat rower. Also only do it if there is not a lot of wait. We only waited 15 min and didn’t know what to expect. The tour inside is only 5 minutes. Each boat takes 4 people and you have to duck down to fit inside the cave entrance. I would say you are not missing much if you don’t do it, there’s a lot of other better things to do in Capri.
Falene C — Google review
Clear blue waters. Mysterious coves. Light breeze. That's all you need for a perfect getaway in this paradise situated in Capri. The natives taking you inside the Grotto are friendly and welcoming, singing beautiful Italian parodies that touch your heart. The cave inside the Grotto dates back to the time when a Romanian king came to this Grotto by digging a tunnel for 90m. There a huge line for this but the experience itself is out of this world. Highly recommend!
Yamini K — Google review
The Blue Grotto in Capri is absolutely magical! The moment you glide into the cave, the sunlight reflecting off the water creates a glowing, almost otherworldly blue that takes your breath away. The boat ride is short but unforgettable, and the experience feels truly unique to Capri. The guides are friendly and add to the charm with their singing and stories. It’s a must-see—photos can’t capture the beauty, you simply have to experience it in person!
Sylvia D — Google review
Nature at its best. The color of the waters is surreal. Must see in person, well worth a boat ride there.

The Church San Michele, located in the heart of Anacapri at the foot of Mount Solaro, is a historic structure with ties to a convent. The church features an ornate 1700s floor adorned with colorful maiolica tiles. The surrounding area includes a lovely internal courtyard and a loggia that once connected the church to the convent.
Most magical moving experience visiting this magnificent piece of history. It took my breath away. I was fortunate to be in the Church alone and was delighted to learn about the history of the Church and Saint Michele. It is a very special institution and the lady at the reception is lovely. She was very informative and from what I understand Saint Michele killed the devil. The floors actually took 30 years to complete and the Church is from the 17th Century. Please don’t miss this. 2e entrance.

For 2 euro you can see something so unique and beautiful it actually feels like a daylight robbery. It's a small church, however the painting on the tiles on the floor which covers the whole church is amazing. You can see it in detail from the ground level and also go up to see the whole picture. There was also a cute small bird nest next to the window on the upper floor. I definitely recommend seeing it in Anacapri.

La Zagara is a charming restaurant located in the historic center of Anacapri, nestled amidst narrow alleys and surrounded by a splendid lemon grove. The atmosphere exudes relaxation, offering a surreal sense of peace as guests dine among the tables. Chef Davide Ciavattella presents a menu that showcases traditional cuisine with delicious and creatively reimagined dishes. The warm and welcoming ambiance is enhanced by beautiful floral decorations, creating an elegant and intimate setting.
Words fall short to describe the atmosphere. La Zagara is a hidden gem nestled among Sicilian lemon trees. I had a family dinner there, and everything was impeccable. The best restaurant I visited in Capri.
Otávio S — Google review
The setting of the restaurant is very pleasant, as you dine surrounded by lemon trees. The food is nicely presented but of rather average quality and served in small portions (the starters are really minimal for the price). The pasta sauce lacked flavor. The bill was extremely high (€275 for 5 covers, 2 starters to share, 5 main courses including 3 pastas, 2 glasses of wine, and 4 bottles of water). The service was friendly and helpful. Overall, it is overpriced, but that seems to be the case with most restaurants on Capri Island.

Overall a really nice and fun experience. To be expected a tourist spot but with a very welcoming and nice staff. All very attentive and helpful during the entire experience. Food was good and priced as expected. Most of the table had steak - one person in our party seemed to have a issue with the steak and the staff without question removed it from the bill, asked several time if they wanted another one or something else. The entertainment was fun and engaging however after the first hour seemed a little overwhelming. But very friendly. I would recommend and go back - with expectation of it being a tourist destination.

We had a very pleasant evening with a special dessert recommended by our waiter, very kind and service oriented (Argentinian sorry for missing the name). Scala Fenicia, also known as the Phoenician Steps, is a steep and lengthy staircase that leads from the marina to the mountaintop on the island of Capri. The picturesque Via Capodimonte leads to Villa San Michele, a charming former home with Roman-style courtyards and marble walkways. The villa displays a varied collection ranging from bric-a-brac to antiquities and preserves the personal memorabilia of its former owner, Swedish doctor Axel Munthe.
Took me 35 - 40 minutes from Capri bus station to the sea port. On a busy day you can wait more then an hour for a bus in the same direction. Amazing views and you can stop for some rest. And you can try it vise versa, but you'll need to have a very good stamina and it will be up up up and will take around 2 hours. Enjoy!

Great walk up to Anacapri! From the bottom of the stairs, it took my partner and I 22 minutes to walk up with a few stops along the way to catch our breath and look at the view! On the way down, took about 18 minutes. We are really glad we did it. You definitely feel the burn going up and the stairs are quite deep but definitely worth it. Going down is a little harder on the knees! Definitely give it a go if you can :)

A beautiful walk up to Anacapri from Capri. It’s definitely a workout (wear good walking/hiking shoes and take a bottle of water) and not an easy uphill walk, but the views are spectacular. Yesterday, we saw several people walking down (rather than up) the Scala Fenicia while we walked up. However, we feel that the downhill is hard on our knees and feet. 🤷‍♀️ Thus we walked up the hill from Capri, strolled around Anacapri, walked out to Da Gelsomina (but arrived before they opened), walked back to the city of Anacapri, and taxied back to Capri. A beautiful morning and a lunch well earned.

A wonderful walk down from Anacapri. Incredible views. It's cool with a fresh breeze, and lots of shade from the trees and the mountain that blocks the sun from the south. Stairs are steep. Took us about an hour to walk from the chair lift to the docks, taking lots of photographs on the way.

Definitely, don't climb it unless you are very athletic. I took it on the way down from Axel Munthe's house and my quads and calves hurt for days! I hear there are about 800 steps. It felt like 1000! The reward is the stunning views. I wish it were better marked, though.

Nestled in the serene countryside of Capri, Da Gelsomina - Ristorante offers a tranquil escape from the tourist hotspots. The restaurant is renowned for its authentic cuisine and warm hospitality, which has been upheld by the same family for generations. Set amidst terraces adorned with vines and vegetable gardens, it provides a picturesque setting to savor delectable dishes crafted from garden-fresh produce. Guests can also enjoy wine produced from the family's vineyard nearby.
A Hidden Gem in Capri – Authentic, Peaceful, and Unforgettable Our experience at Da Gelsomina was one of the unexpected highlights of our trip to Capri. Tucked away in a more authentic and peaceful part of the island, this charming restaurant offers not only delicious food, but also a serene atmosphere far from the usual crowds. The setting is truly special — our table overlooked beautiful vineyards with sweeping views that instantly made us feel connected to the natural beauty of Capri. The staff and Pasquale were incredibly warm and welcoming, and even shared a tip about a nearby secret lookout point. We followed their advice and were rewarded with what was easily the best view on the entire island. If you're looking to escape the tourist-packed areas and enjoy a genuine, tranquil Capri dining experience, Da Gelsomina is a must. We can’t wait to return!

We had a fabulous meal at this secluded restaurant on the south of the island. They provide a shuttle service from the centre of anacapri so getting there is not an issue. It boasts fantastic views of the sunset which was truly breathtaking. The service and food was second to none and you can see how they are recommended in the Michelin guide. Unable to rate the rooms as we did not stay there but if the restaurant is anything to go on then they would probably be 5 stars too. Incredible meal.

We came here during a day trip to Capri - it was a bit of a mission for us to get there and back from the dock but they do put on a shuttle to the middle of Anacapri and they can’t control the awful traffic! Food was pleasant especially the pomodores and buffalo mozzarella and service was friendly. Add on a little stroll to the viewing point just down from the restaurant

Go there it’s heavenly! The most spectacular property in Anacapri! Family run; staff is outstanding, 5 star restaurant, vineyard, 10 mile diet!! Rooms are comfortable with spectacular views, stock Carthusian products! Hiking paths of top views in Anacapri, swimming pool, free shuttle!! List of excellence goes on and on! Perfection! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing dinner spot! We had a lovely view of the sunset while eating dinner. This was by far our favorite restaurant during our stay in Capri! We didn’t stay in the Airbnb but it looked cute from the outside. We were shuttled up to the restaurant, be warned the ride is bumpy but it beats walking by foot! The staff was very attentive and helpful throughout the entire dinner. The view was absolutely stunning and made for great pics. Sad to say I forgot the name of the pasta dish I had but it was an excellent spicy garlicky spaghetti, this was the highlight of our dinner. Definitely don’t miss out of this restaurant, make sure to get a reservation in advance!

We only came here for dinner The food was delicious, the service was very good and attentive. Complimented with the incredible views the experience was overall really nice. The food was nothing extraordinary but at the same time hit the spot. Plenty of choices, and reasonably priced. The scenery and sunsets incredible. The most exciting part of the experience is the shuttle ride up the hill - it’s like the local version of an amusement park rollercoaster ride.

I went for dinner at Da Gelsomina about an hour before writing this review. First off, the restaurant has a shuttle service for those in Anacapri (which is a very enjoyable place to stay). Once you arrive, you’re greeted by great staff. I was a solo diner so I can’t comment much on the bottles of wine etc, but the glass of local (from the campania region) was great and their homemade liqueurs are a must try. Now, onto the food, the appetizers were great and really well thought out. Very classic dishes (my family is from this region) that are very well made. The escarole polpette were great and the octopus (for those who enjoy it) was fantastic. I had a whole local fish as the main. They can prepare it in several ways and generally have 2-3 types of fish to pick from. The fish was cooked to perfection and was cleaned prior to being served tableside. I didn’t have dessert and opted for the homemade liqueur instead which was fantastic. I went at 9pm so it was dark outside. The view and the sunset must be spectacular from up where the restaurant is, in case this is an important factor. I really recommend this place. Of course, given its rustic feel and very traditional cuisine, you will also be dining with a lot of Italians here on vacation - and this is how you know when a place is good.

Get yourself table and treat yourself with a beautiful sunset view for a dinner, if you are like me or else the place is open otherwise too. A beautiful sunset and everything becomes amazing. Thet provide a pick a d drop to the hotel and to points in city. Recommended for food experience.

Nestled in the charming heart of Anacapri, Ristorante La Rondinella e b&b offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels like home. Since 1960, this delightful eatery has been renowned for its exceptional hospitality, courtesy of hosts Marco and Anna Maria. Diners can enjoy a delectable selection of pizzas on the lovely outdoor terrace, including the unique Pizza Svedese—a tribute to Anacapri's historical ties with Sweden.
Incredible meal here! High quality ingredients and excellent cooking techniques. The food was so delicious! The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting (it’s a family-owned establishment). Don’t skip out on the Eggplant Parmigiana! Based on the rating alone, I wouldn’t have tried this place. However, this was recommended to us as a traditional Anacapri place to try by two local chefs that cooked such delicious and memorable food. So glad we came to have a meal here!

Nestled in a charming and tastefully decorated setting, Ristorante Rondinella promises a welcoming atmosphere—but unfortunately, the culinary execution fell short of expectations. The fried zucchini arrived heavily breaded, with the cheese inside curdled and likely mishandled in temperature during preparation before being submerged in hot oil. The pasta with baby octopus, a featured daily special, was oversalted to a degree that left lingering discomfort after the meal. As for the Raviolo Caprese, served in canned tomato sauce, it lacked the freshness and lightness that typically define this dish. An overpowering splash of lemon juice further masked its potential. Despite the inviting ambiance, this was—regrettably—the weakest meal I’ve had in Italy in over two decades.
Kinga K — Google review
This is the most gorgeous restaurant! I absolutely loved the pasta with the local sauce with zucchini flowers. It was the most interesting and tasty pasta sauce I have ever experienced. The pasta texture was also divine. My husband and also enjoyed his monkfish and the vegetable set once was tasty and varied. Sitting on a shaded deck in the hot July summer on the Island of capri was just out of this world. The toilets are also well presented and the staff are so friendly. Please come and support this beautiful restaurant.

0 stars if I could my fiancé and I were served undercooked octopus that tasted very fishy bringing to there attention they didn’t take our displeasure into any regard and charged us for the full plate we sent back. And in the midst of it sent over another worker to make fun of us saying octopus is supposed to taste fishy laughing at us. Would not recommend

Based only on the average rating I would not have come here, but that would have been a big mistake. The food here is not the cheapest, but it is worth the price- everything we had tasted amazing. It was one of our favorite restaurants on our south Italian trip.

Loved this place! We went for dinner and had a great experience; nice restaurant, family owned, the owner suggested some great dishes and her lemon caprese cake is the best dessert ever!

Pizza was really good and the location is beautiful but we were still disappointed. The melanzane were a joke - 16 Euros for literally two or three slices of melanzane. Come on. Even for Capri, that is not even funny. Also, we didn't feel very welcome, probably because we didn't want to spend money on wine (we don't drink alcohol).
Enrico M — Google review
Taste & service was the worst .It seems like uncooked pasta, hard to chewing. Sea food was not fresh 25Euro, two Lemon soda was 10 Euro, baby calamari was 22 Euro, which was 14 Euro my friend told me, plus table fee was 6Euro for two person, I will not back to them

Restaurant
Nestled in the picturesque village of Anacapri, Ristorante Il Solitario is a delightful family-run trattoria that embodies the essence of traditional Italian dining. With its inviting atmosphere and rustic decor, this charming eatery offers a warm welcome to all who visit. Guests can enjoy authentic dishes made from locally sourced ingredients while seated in a serene garden or cozy indoor space, providing an ideal retreat from the bustling tourist spots of Capri.
We ordered the lemon fettuccine, ravioli, potato pasta, fresh lemon juice, and broccoli. All were delicious! The lemon pasta was slightly creamy, but had a good balance with the lemon. The ravioli was probably the best I have ever had. The ambiance was a pleasant mellow vibe, perfect for an evening dinner in Capri. The dessert was delightful as well. The waiters were all lovely and patient, absolutely recommend this restaurant.

Really nice local restaurant. Felt welcomed, and not overly touristy. Nice food choices, plentiful wine choices. The staff very friendly the only challenge was that two different times the staff delivered the wrong items and I think because they relied on their memory instead of writing it down, which causes some headache because then the rest of the table has to wait for the order to be corrected which can spoil the experience. Just a minor annoyance. I would go back

A very cute, cozy place in Anacapri, very easy to find if you arrive by bus from Capri. The staff is very kind, and if I return to Capri (and Anacapri), I’ll definitely eat there again. Their homemade pasta is incredibly delicious, and the dessert was a very pleasant way to end the meal.
Kiss L — Google review
I don’t know how anyone can dare to rate this place with anything less than 5 stars, that is unless you dont have a clue what good food is. If you want pasta (your have to try the Ravioli here!), a caprese salad, and a tiramisu, this is one of the best places I’ve been to in the world. Everyone thinks that Capri is super expensive, but this place shows you don’t have to pay the ridiculous tourist prices on offer at many of the restaurants. There are many other places like this in Capri, you just need to take some time and look around…

Tucked away in a charming corner of Anacapri, Trattoria Il Solitario offers an authentic dining experience that feels like a hidden gem. As soon as you enter, the warm and inviting vibes envelop you, making it a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a delicious meal. The food at Il Solitario is nothing short of superb. Each dish reflects the rich culinary traditions of the region. The meatballs were tender and flavorful, a true testament to Italian home cooking. The octopus linguine was another highlight; the perfect balance of flavors and textures left us wanting more. However, the real standout of the meal was the bruschetta di pommodoro. It was a delightful burst of fresh tomato goodness that perfectly complemented the other dishes (I maybe added a dash of balsamic vineagar) The service was attentive without being intrusive, creating a relaxed atmosphere where we could all share a laugh. The staff genuinely seemed to care about our experience, which added to the overall charm. Overall, Trattoria Il Solitario is a must-visit for anyone looking to savor authentic Italian cuisine in a laid-back and friendly setting. We left with satisfied palates and happy hearts, eager to return again!

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting to host our daughters welcome dinner. From start to finish, the evening was nothing short of magical. This gathering started at 7:00pm and ended after midnight! The dinner was serviced in a beautiful private terrace in Anacapri. The owners/team welcomed us with open arms, making every guest feel special and genuinely at home—a true reflection of southern Italian hospitality at its finest. The menu was a feast of local flavors, thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. From the fresh antipasti, assorted cheese, appetizers to the homemade pastas and outstanding dessert, each course was a highlight. The eggplant parmigiana, and pesto gnocci were standouts, earning rave reviews from our guests. And the wine—locally sourced and perfectly paired—flowed generously throughout the evening. What truly set Il Solitario apart was the attention to detail and the passion of the staff. Every element—from the table setup in the lush garden courtyard to the timing of each course—was executed flawlessly. The warmth, professionalism, and sincere care shown by the entire team turned a lovely dinner into a lasting memory. If you're planning a special event in Anacapri, Ristorante Il Solitario is a dream. We are deeply grateful for the experience and will remember it always. Grazie di cuore to the wonderful team at Il Solitario for giving us the most beautiful welcome to Capri. 💛🇮🇹

It’s a nice family restaurant in the city centre in Anacapri. We ordered Carbonara and pasta with rabbit, and both dishes were amazing. We were traveling for a week in Amalfi coast and were exhausted with expensive and not delicious food. Here our experience was fantastic, place really worth visiting, the atmosphere, service, everything was so great!!

This is an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. Our waitress’s grandmother opened the restaurant many years ago, and it is truly family run. The meatballs were outstanding and the best we had on our trip. Atmosphere was excellent as well. Would 100% recommend. Traveler from NC.

Nestled on the cliffs of Anacapri, overlooking the electric waters of the Blue Grotto, Restaurant Il Riccio is a renowned destination for seafood lovers. Accessible by a stone staircase leading down to the water, this high-end restaurant at Hotel Capri Palace offers refined Mediterranean dishes and a carefully curated selection of local beverages.
Beautiful place with a fantastic view, exceptional service and delicious food. The rooftop where we waited for our table to be ready is very sophisticated, decorated with Christian Dior items, you can take beautiful pictures there. My favorite part was the “temptation” a room full of delicious desserts. A truly extraordinary experience! A little pricey but you are in Capri and everything it’s pricey!

We had lunch there. The food was good but flat in flavor in my opinion. I’ve been to dozens of Michelin star restaurants in Europe and the USA and elsewhere. Atmosphere was incredible and the views were spectacular.

We went to Capri for our little honey moon and it was simply magic. Il Riccio Restaurant was simply amazing. It was our first time. Great location. Sea view. Unforgettable. Food was great and staff very kind and polite. Top class!!!

The restaurant opened at7:30, but due to the bad weather we didn’t get to enjoy the view at all. The food can be extremely bad and good, for example the appetizer lobster taste so good, that even made the main dishes taste awful. The uni pasta is too fishy, and the octopus is way too overcooked that my friend couldn’t eat it.

A Meal to Remember for a Lifetime This was one of those rare dining experiences where everything came together—fresh ingredients, perfect execution, stunning scenery, and a touch of magic. The grilled sea bass was exquisite: perfectly cooked, flaky, and delicately seasoned. The sides — golden roasted potatoes, warm vegetable medley, crisp salad with olives, and sweet tomatoes with basil — were vibrant and full of flavor. The clams, in their delicate broth, added a wonderful coastal touch, paired perfectly with fresh bread. A chilled glass of crisp white wine elevated every bite, perfectly complementing the fresh seafood and sun-kissed flavors of the Mediterranean. Fun, upbeat music set a lively tone, and the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Sipping wine and cocktails by the sea, with a seagull gliding over the horizon, felt like a perfect summer day frozen in time. Elegant, authentic, and unforgettable — a true Mediterranean gem. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dining at Il Riccio in Capri is not simply a meal, it is a complete experience that begins long before you sit down at the table. The journey itself is unique: being picked up directly by boat and arriving at the restaurant sets the tone for something truly special. It already feels like you are entering a hidden paradise, where elegance and authenticity blend seamlessly. The setting is breathtaking, perched above the crystal waters of Capri, with views that make you pause and appreciate the beauty of the island. Yet, what impressed me most was not only the scenery, but the way the entire team orchestrates the experience. The service is absolutely impeccable, attentive without ever being intrusive, professional yet warm, always making you feel like a valued guest. As for the cuisine, Il Riccio excels at offering food that is authentic, deeply connected to the traditions of Capri, yet executed with refinement. Every dish carries the freshness of the island and the soul of the sea. The flavors are pure, clean, and perfectly balanced. Nothing feels forced or overcomplicated, this is Italian cuisine at its highest expression, where ingredients are allowed to shine. One of the highlights is how consistent the kitchen is. From seafood to pasta, every plate I tasted reflected craftsmanship and respect for tradition. There is an honesty in the cooking that makes it memorable. Combined with the unique arrival, the atmosphere, and the flawless hospitality, Il Riccio delivers not just dinner, but a moment you will always carry with you. For anyone visiting Capri, this is more than a recommendation, it is an absolute must!!

A wonderful venue! We started with drinks upstairs in the lounge with cool tunes and stunning views. Staff ushered us to our table at the restaurant in time to get a fabulous table right by the ocean and the enormous view. If you love fresh seafood you will be blown away by the array of every type of fresh seafood on view for you to choose from. Everything about this experience was 5 star- as was the price, but it was well deserved . A must do in Capri!

The Giorgio al Cucciolo restaurant is a welcoming, intimate eatery with delicious Italian cuisine. The food was simple but elegant and the view of Capri from the restaurant was spectacular. The owner Giorgio was a great guy and made us feel at home. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Capri!
Excellent restaurant with a great and amazing view. Food is delicious, delicate presented and super tasty. Ambience is very romantic since the view is just impressive! You might spend 50 euros per person Not easy to get by foot. However if you have a bike or motorcycle it is totally worth it.

Best experience in Capri. Took the 2km walk from Anacapri to Giorgio al Cucciolo and it was 100% worth it. Got away from crowded Anacapri to this tranquil place with excellent food and breathtaking view!

I have mixed feelings about the experience. The ravioli were good and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the pork belly dish was disappointing—both in taste and value. It was overpriced. I wouldn’t recommend spending money on it, as you’ll likely leave some on the plate. Additionally, there was no drinks menu, which I just can’t understand. Overall: 6.5 out of 10.

Very nice dinner experience in Capri. Sunset to die for! Make sure you come in time of sunset for extra lovely ambience. Staff is polite and friendly, helpful when making a choice for food. Prices are quite fair, 140€ for dinner for two, I think for Capri that is more than ok. They offer fresh fish, but we took meals from the menu and that was OK but nothing too special, tbh we expected a bit more. To sum up, good restaurant, great service, lovely view and average food.
Paola M — Google review
The best thing about the restaurant are the wonderful views of the Bay of Naples, the sunsets are wonderful. The attention is very good and the service is fast. The food was good but could have been better for the price. The ravioli were delicious, the pasta with zetas porccini for a recommendation could have been better as it was a bit tasteless.

Hidden restaurant in Anacapri with great food and service with incredible views on the sunset. Please note that there is a 20mins walk from the centre of Anacapri but it is worth to do it. Owner is so kind that then take you back to the taxi stop in the centre by own car. I recommend that experience!
