Long Beach is a vast expanse of shoreline, dotted with numerous dining options and schools for kitesurfing. The beach's sand is colored brown, with some volcanic grains intermingled. The sea gradually slopes away from the shore, stretching hundreds of meters outwards, providing a safe environment for children to swim. This beach is famous for its size and beauty and considered the best in Montenegro by many visitors.
Lovely dark sand on the beach and in the sea. Sea is beautiful when the weather is calm - to my luck. You might expect the sea to be mixed up, and perhaps muddier when it's windy or overcrowded, perhaps. Ulcinj has beautiful sandy beaches, and possibly only ones in Montenegro. Enjoy

A beach like any other.
The good thing about beaches in Montenegro is that you can go in with your dog — just like in normal European countries, such as those in Eastern Europe, where so-called Western European 'culture' thankfully hasn’t arrived yet.
Great place, soft sand, lots of bars near. The water was absolutely fantastic! 100% must go!
It's a passable beach. The water isn't very deep. The entire beach is divided into businesses and is very long. There are too many wasps. They bothered us a lot.
Velika plaža is a sandy beach in Ulcinj, Montenegro. The beach is located on the Adriatic coast, 5 km from the city. The length of the beach is 13 km, and the width is on average 60 m. Due to its size and fine sand, it is also called the "Ulcinj Copacabana"
we didn't sit in cafes because the prices are too high, and there is enough space on the beach to put up an umbrella and enjoy the old way, the so-called tomato tourists, in the video below you can see what it looks like.

A beautiful sand beach, the water is clean. Probably one of the best places in Montenegro. The beach is not the best for city people though, cause there isn't music playing around and there are 1-2 caffes. Amazing beach though!

The Green Market, located near a mosque, is a bustling spot on Tuesdays and Fridays when local villagers bring their homemade dairy products, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and honey. It's not very large but offers fresh produce like fruits and vegetables as well as olive oil, dried chilies, cheese, olives, seafood, and deli sausages.
Local market where You can buy and taste local food: fruits, vegetables, You can also get there Oliver, Oil Olives, wine, home-made rakija. Also there is present Bakery, small fish market, meat shop and some small places where you can eat or drink coffee.
There is difficult to find parking place close to market, so be aware if You come with car.
Also be prepared to pay only in cash.

Local farmers market, not overly big, selling fresh fruit & veg as well as local olive oil, dried chilies, cheese and olives. Majority of the stalls are selling the same things.
Can also get fresh seafood, butchers and their local deli sausage. Worth a visit to experience how the locals shop and get some fresh produce if you happen to be cooking during your stay.
Tuesdays and Fridays are best but most vegetable stands open every day, olives, oil and honey. Fresh fish of excellent quality
Fresh fruits and vegetables, mostly from local producers. You can also buy cheese, olives and olive oil. Cheese seller have refrigerators.
It is not an authentic producer’s market.Rather the seller are the really buyers of the producers so retailers.Although it is expensive .If you buy the goods in the nearer Idea market you make it cheaper.The market also a rippof place of foreighner’s.When the locals hear you are a foreigner the price they charge much higher.You can not park you car nearby.Not recommended at all.
Every seller is trying to convince you to buy. It gets difficult to say no. Products look good. Bought some grapes and fig. Both were delicious. Also this is the only place that we could find and buy black tea in all Ulcinj.
If you want to taste real Montenegro, this is the place to go, it reminds me of authentic Souq I have enjoyed in Morocco! There may be some fake products also, but it is up to everyone to distinguish the excellent from the bad or less good.It is a pity to see negative comments about this market, it is really worth visiting! There is an excellent butchery and fishmonger (fresh seabass and dorade !!), bon appétit!
The best place In Town to buy fresh fruits and veggies, nuts, fish, squid and olive oil. Prices are great. People are very friendly

Due to lack of safety rails I would recommend for older children with parent supervision, especially on the wall, where the view is great but there is no guardrails.

The entrance fee is affordable - €1. The views are great and there’s a little bit of history to learn but there’s not much, could be done in less than 30 minutes.
At the top of Ulcinj’s Old Town, there is a building with a rich history, which has served various purposes over the centuries. This building, now housing the Ulcinj Museum, has an interesting past, having changed its function and religious affiliation over time.
History of the Building:
• Church of St. Mark: Originally, this building was constructed as the Church of St. Mark during the Venetian rule over Ulcinj, likely between the 14th and 15th centuries. The church played a significant role in the religious and cultural life of the city during the Venetian period.
• Converted into a Mosque: After Ulcinj was conquered by the Ottoman Empire in 1571, the Church of St. Mark was converted into a mosque. The mosque was named Namazgah. This practice of converting churches into mosques was common during the Ottoman expansion to accommodate the religious needs of the Muslim community.
• Ulcinj Museum: Today, this building functions as the Ulcinj Museum. The museum holds a rich collection of archaeological artifacts, ethnographic exhibits, and historical documents that illustrate the region’s vibrant past. The museum building itself is a significant historical monument, reflecting the turbulent history of Ulcinj and its transformation over the centuries.
This structure, with its layered history, is a testament to the cultural and religious heritage of Ulcinj, reflecting the changes that have occurred in the region throughout different historical periods.
Very nice place, but part was closed and there are no guides there unfortunately or anyone that can say anything abot this place.
Lovely small museum with some info about the history of Ulcinj city. You won’t miss something if you skip it. It’s ok but that’s it.

We found this to be somewhat underwhelming. The upside is that it is very cheap to enter (€1.50) and the panoramic views from the top of the wall are quite nice. It is important to note that during our visit (June, 2022), there was significant renovation under way, which made some areas inaccessible and diminished the experience. The man working at the museum (Antonne) was VERY kind and helpful, and he explained several interesting features to us.

Ulcinj Old Town, situated just outside the city walls, exudes a distinctive Oriental atmosphere with its ancient streets that have borne witness to the passage of numerous rulers. The one-story Turkish houses evoke a sense of living in the era of Sultans and Pashas, offering glimpses into a bygone time filled with feuds, opulent costumes, and bustling bazaars.
It was so beautiful. Ben there twice. Once in 2023 and now 13th of August 2025. I was there just for a walk and didn't eat anything but it's so beautiful day and night. Highly recommend if you plan on visiting the city of Ulcinj!

Amazing historic old town, walk up the hill to the fortress withing the walled city. Free to enter most of it and had great views. Lots of restaurants. Well worth walking around the narrow passages and exploring. Lots of beggars though.
The old town has some great views but is essentially a collection of restaurants built into small corridors in the old town. There are many cobblestones and walking is a bit difficult. The small streets and alleys are interesting but the real attraction is the view. The museum is also there and contains artifacts from multiple successive periods including the Illyrians, the Greeks, the Romans, the Byzantine and the Ottomans. The restaurants are pricy but the views are spectacular.
It’s basically a stone fortress on the edge of the Adriatic — with narrow cobblestone streets, old walls, and insane sea views around every corner.
The best part? It’s not just ruins — people actually live here. You’ll see laundry hanging from balconies, little kids playing, and locals chatting on the steps. That gives it a real, lived-in vibe instead of feeling like a museum.
You can walk up from the Small Beach (Mala Plaža) in about 10 minutes, but it’s all uphill and the stones are uneven — wear sneakers, not flip-flops. Parking around the entrance is tricky, especially in summer, so be ready to park lower and climb.
Climb up to the walls — you’ll get some of the best views in Ulcinj, especially at sunset.
There are a bunch of restaurants and cafés tucked inside the walls. They’re pricier than the rest of town, but you’re paying for that view over the water, and it’s worth it at least for a drink.
Small souvenir shops, art galleries, and even a couple of boutique hotels are hidden in the alleys.
It’s not a stroller-friendly place — the steps are steep and the streets are narrow. But that’s part of the charm.
Bottom line: Ulcinj Old Town is a mix of history, daily life, and postcard views. Perfect for wandering, grabbing a drink with a sunset view, and taking a ton of photos — just bring comfy shoes and expect some uphill walking.
We stayed at Palata Venezia for one night in the Old Town. There is parking at the bottom of the entry to the Old Town and it is steep walk over cobblestones but the views make it worth it. Very special indeed. There are lots of restaurants and hotels now located in the old buildings within the walls. Our stay and lunch at Palata Venezia were lovely, especially meals on the deck. The staff were so friendly.
One of the best old towns that I've visited. It has many caffees, restaurants etc. Walkable and not to steep nor slippery. It is a bit hard to navigate through though as some of the gates were closed. Waiters are a good help for guiding your exit. Keep in mind that the only exit currently is going through the restaurants. We only walked through a small part of it.
Old Town of Ulcinj offers a truly wonderful and breathtaking view. The location is unique, with a charming atmosphere and a stunning panorama. Perfect spot to enjoy the beauty of Ulcinj.
Old Town is mostly just restaurants and hotels. Some souvenir shops. The views from the fortress are nice. It generally looks nice. There's a lot of trash around the fortress. I would recommend a visit if you are planning to take a seat in one of the restaurants or cafes but otherwise not.

The water was so dirty I was afraid to swim in it.
Jet skis are everywhere and the beach smells of gasoline, it's not even safe to swim. This beach used to be great, now I don't recommend it to anyone
Thehe main city beach — and you can tell the second you see it. The location is super central, right under the old town, so it’s easy to get to, and there are tons of cafés, restaurants, and bars just steps away.
But here’s the reality: in summer, it’s packed. Like, shoulder-to-shoulder packed — finding a free spot for your towel can be a challenge. And with that many people, there’s also a lot of trash around: cigarette butts in the sand, plastic cups, bottles. The city cleans it, but the crowds keep making a mess.
The water itself can be nice and calm, good for kids, and the view of the old town is amazing, especially at sunset. But if you’re looking for a peaceful, clean beach day, this probably isn’t the spot.
Great for a quick swim or to grab a drink by the water, but if you want space and clean sand — head to one of the bigger beaches outside the city.
The beach was disappointing — dirty sand and an uncomfortable atmosphere with men constantly staring at women. A beach set with an umbrella costs 20€ for the whole day, which feels overpriced. There’s a toilet on the left side that costs 1€ to enter (like a chicken coop), and another on the right side for 0.50€, though we didn’t try it.
Very crowded, ‘swimming’ area is only 10 metres away from the beach and very shallow. Jetskis doing high speed runs dangerously close to swimmers. Overall meh
The main charm of this place is the sandy beach. A very nice place. You will have to go a little long to get to the depths, but it is not a problem. There are sun loungers and umbrellas. There are freely available toilets, to put it mildly, not the cleanest and most well-kept, but at least something. You also need to get down from the mountain to the beach, because the whole city is on a mountain, and all the streets go downhill. And back, when you're toasty and salty, going uphill isn't as fun as going down.
A nice sandy beach, nothing really bad to say about it. You can pay for deckchairs and umbrellas here, but i recommend bringing your own. The water is a bit dirty, but not too much. They also have Jet Ski's and if you swim very far out in the sea, you have to watch out for them as people ride them very often. Overall, it's a nice, big sandy beach and i have no complaints about it.
I read the reviews and can confirm that this place is disgusting. There is trash all over the place and the beach is littered with cigarette butts. There is nowhere you can place your towel without laying on top of trash. We didn’t even want to go in the water. It’s super sad that it’s like this because the bag itself is beautiful and it would have been a great day to relax and swim.

Valdanos beach, located in the southernmost city of Montenegro, is an ideal vacation spot during the peak tourist season of July and August. Unlike other destinations in the country, this long and spacious beach can accommodate thousands of tourists without any shortage of space for their beach towels. However, as November approaches, the weather becomes colder and less inviting for swimming. Valdanos beach is distinct from other beaches in Ulcinj due to its unique features.
Food and drinks in the beach bar are excellent! We tried two kinds of pizza and both were perfect. Waiters service was very good. Now the beach, nice sunbeds, and lots of activities and for good swimmers it's ok, but for less fit people and kids the slimy and rocky bottom can be very challenging, I recommend sea shoes.

This is one of the most unique spots around Ulcinj. It’s set in a huge olive grove — the drive down is gorgeous, with ancient olive trees everywhere, and there’s plenty of parking right by the beach.
The beach itself is pebble, not sand — and the stones are pretty big, so bring water shoes unless you like doing the little “ouch-ouch” dance on the way to the water. The water is super clear and deep, perfect for swimming.
But there are some downsides: a lot of seaweed gets washed up onto the beach and just sits there — nobody seems to clean it, so it can look and smell a bit rough in spots. There’s also some litter here and there (plastic bottles, cups), not a ton, but enough to notice.
From the looks of older photos, there used to be sunbeds and a beach bar here about a year ago. Right now there are no sunbeds, no working bar — everything is closed, and the whole area feels abandoned and not maintained.
Getting here on foot isn’t really practical — it’s about an hour walk from Ulcinj and all downhill one way (which means a steep uphill hike back). Way easier to grab a taxi (around €5–7) or come with your own car.
The vibe is still more relaxed than the packed city beaches like Mala Plaža, and the setting among olive trees is beautiful — but be ready for pebbles, seaweed, and a “nobody’s taking care of this place” kind of feel.
The place has tons of potential and it could be amazing. What I like the most is that is very private, picturesque, and surrounded by forrest. Unique, indeed.
But, there is a lot of trash and broken ruins. It is 100% abandoned, not even icecream or soft drinks stand. So sad.
But Ill come back and hope that someone will transform this jewel.
Best beach we visited in the area.Lots of space. The parking lot is very convenient. The beach is clean and after 2m the seabed is only soft sand. The beach bar is very welcoming, where you can get a great oven baked pizza. Plus: all the waiters speak english.
Perfect beach for swimming and diving ☀️🐠 Entrance is not clean, but after it’s perfectly clean water and vivid sealife. There is a natural shade made by pine trees and also nudist beach at the end of the walking area, so definitely must visit this beach while jn Ulcinj. 👍
I visited Valdanos beach this week and were very disappointed by how it looked. Maybe it's because the season is finished, so much thrash all along the beach among the rocks. Valdanos is It's a true gem that needs a little more care to shine.

Nestled in the heart of the old town, Plaza is a delightful destination that invites you to explore its charming narrow streets and rich history. As you wander through this picturesque area, you'll encounter stunning traditional architecture and notable landmarks like Balsic Tower, Namazgah Mosque, Mala Plaza Tower, and the Local History Museum. The culinary scene here is particularly enticing; seafood lovers will find plenty to savor.
It is a nice elegant restaurant with delicious food, great cocktails, and average coffee. Service was satisfactory and staff is quite nice and helpful. I also liked the location, just across the street from the beach. The view from the main restaurant and the terrace is beautiful.

Nice atmosphere and right across from little beach. I ordered a cheese omelet with vegetables, fresh squeezed orange juice and cappuccino. Juice was sweet and cold, cappuccino good. The omelet had a nice crispy exterior which I like. Unfortunately, after two bites in I found a hair. Some people would just pick it out and carry on but I can't eat another bite of food after I find something like that. I pushed the whole plate to the side while I finished my juice and cappuccino. The discarded plate of food wasn't noticed until I motioned to pay the bill. When the server asked me what was wrong I told him about the hair. He was very apologetic but I was still charged the full price for the meal. I would have expected the omelet to be comped but no. The total bill was 9,50 which isn't a lot but still. This is a very touristy area but I live here. I'm sure because of the large visitor population they don't expect to see you again, and now they definitely won't.

We stopped by the Plaza Hotel & Spa’s restaurant several times during our stay—great coffee and a few really tasty meals. The fish soup was comforting and full of flavor, and the qebapa (ćevapi) hit the spot. If you go, ask to sit in Zoga’s section—he’s a friendly local whose family has deep roots in Ulcinj and made us feel right at home.
I visited this restaurant while on vacation with a group of friends, and while it started off as a fun night, the experience quickly became uncomfortable and unsettling. Shortly after we were seated, two young women sat across from us and, for nearly two hours, stared at me and my friends with looks of visible disgust. Every time I spoke, they would laugh and continue to watch us in a way that felt intentionally cruel and condescending. It made me feel incredibly self-conscious and unwelcome.
To make matters worse, our waiter spent the majority of our visit sitting with these same women, chain smoking cigarettes, rather than attending to our table. When we needed service, I had to call out for him — at which point the women looked visibly irritated, as if we were inconveniencing them by simply asking for our server's attention. It felt as though we were intruding on their evening, even though we were paying customers.
The most confusing part? These women never paid for anything. Instead, they left with the waiter and were overheard saying something about “these girls” as we passed by them on our way out — which only added to the sense of being mocked and judged throughout our meal.
The only positive I can mention is the Piña Coladas — they were excellent. But unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to redeem such a negative overall experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a welcoming or respectful environment.
We visited Plaza Restaurant in Ulcinj as a family, but the experience was shockingly disappointing. While some of us ordered cocktails, I simply wanted a cappuccino. The waiter bluntly told me, “We don’t serve cappuccino in the evening.” Yet, right around us, other tables were being served hot drinks like coffee and espresso without any issue.
When we politely asked why there’s a difference between cappuccino and other hot drinks, the waiter, visibly annoyed, dismissed us with: “Talk to the manager.” This attitude was rude, unwelcoming, and left us feeling like customers were more of a burden than guests.
It became clear that their focus is on pushing alcoholic drinks for higher profit rather than providing genuine hospitality. If a guest asking for a simple cappuccino is too much “trouble,” then this is not a place that values customers.
We won’t be coming back, and I would not recommend Plaza Restaurant to anyone who expects friendly or guest-oriented service.
I've ordered fish and got a dish which was extremely salty. I ve asked to get it unsalty, the waiter said that all the fish comes salty. I ve asked if there is anything else which is not salty. I got the answer"I don't know". After that I ve said that in that case I guess I cant have anything. The waiter got angry with me and kept asking "who is going to pay for this'. He didn't have a name tag and refused to tell his name. Very unfortunat experience, very surprised with the whole situation.
The staff is extremely unhelpful, the waiter interrupts you on the second syllable of a word as if he has telepathy. In general, one gets the impression that one cannot order in Montenegrin, Serbian, Bosnian or Croatian. The staff were friendly and polite, and one of the waiters even knew how to say "thank you" in Lithuanian, which was such a lovely surprise. Highly recommended!

Had a birthday dinner here tonight, everything was just amazing! We ordered Mix for 2, that's plenty of food, red wine poached calamari and fantastic grilled seabass stole the show. We stumbled upon Haris restaurant as we were exploring the old town of Ulcinj. We had been recommended to try the food out here, as well as the view overlooking the water. Wow, the view is absolutely stunning while you're eating some delicious food.
From start to finish, Hari was absolutely amazing. Exceptional customer service, super friendly, talkative, hospitable, and so much more. He had great stories to tell of his fishing and family history too.
We ordered the Tuna Steak, Calamari, Olives, and Cheese. It was all hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We had 0 complaints about our entire visit. Hari catches most, if not all, of his seafood that he serves.
The restaurant has ample seating and especially for if you want to catch amazing sunsets, this is the place for you. It's worth making the trip for. It's a family restaurant with a nice personal touch, and by no means is a tourist trap.
Overall, we would come back and I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in or near Ulcinj. You will not be disappointed at all.
Amazing dinner. Best in Ulcinj. The hospitality was fantastic, the staff were so sweet. We got a wide range of dishes and you can't go wrong with any of them. The seafood risotto was my favorite.

This is a wonderful little restaurant in old town Ulcinj. The workers are friendly and multilingual and the food is excellent. It also has a beautiful view of the ocean. I had a šopska salata, beef skewers and was even given a bonus potato side dish. The meat was perfectly cooked and very flavorful, and honestly all of the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area.
This was my second time at Teuta, enjoying a late lunch. Located in the old town, the views are gorgeous. I enjoyed fresh off the boat shrimp scampi with grilled vegetables and a salt-crusted baked potato. The only reason this review is not 5 stars across the board is the cost. I would like to recommend the management provide a discount for locals. I'm sorry, but 35 Euro for lunch for one person is kind of crazy. I did not have an appetizer or dessert and just one glass of wine.

Garbage and stench. I was on this beach eleven years ago. At that time, there were no sunchairs or a restaurant. We wanted to swim here today, but after a few minutes we changed our minds. A sunchair costs €20 and a baldachin bed costs €30. Both are old and broken. There is seaweed washed up on the beach, which smells extremely bad. There is trash all around and as a bonus the old mattress is thrown out among the sunbeds. The entire beach is “nicely” decorated in the style of the Montenegrin mentality. A short distance behind the large beach there are old concrete piers where another bar and sunbeds are made - pure VIP hell just for €15. See the photos.
Valdanos - a place established as a resort for officers and soldiers of the Yugoslav people’s army during the communist era. The beach itself is easily accessible by car although there are some holes on the road. Just continue your ride and at the very end there’s a big parking in the shades of pine trees next to the beach that is totally free. Accessibility 4
The toilets are free, but disgusting. It looks as if no one cleans them. Concrete is crumbling everywhere with rusty and pointy wires coming out of it. Very unsafe, watch your step. Formerly a military resort, it has been open to all visitors since 2008. The influence of brutalism can be felt on the beach and its surroundings - concrete, slabs, pillars. Personally, I'm not a fan of all that.
This beach was a bit messy and trashy, hiwever bins were installed on the coast. Unfortunately there is no food or drink service, so you have to carry on. The parking place is good and big enough with huge trees, avoiding overheating of the vehicles. The water is clean, probably its due to the rocky coast. The view is very nice.
Been here in 2024 and it was like trash bin. Absolutely disgusting. Now in september of 2025 its totally different, almost no trash, we are very happy with this. There is a small restraunt on the right side of the bay, where you can have coffe or hamburger, and lay on a hammack above the sea and enjoy the sunset. Sea is rocky, take aquashoes.

Renting sun-umbrella with 2 sun beds is 20eur - maybe overpriced for what it is offering… only one bar/restaurant; coffee not so nice - but pleasant stuff…great for swimming since wawes are not big and its not windy.

St. Nikola Church is a charming Orthodox church located just outside the walls of the old town in Ulcinj. The church property features ancient olive trees and a cemetery with stunning views of the open sea. Visitors can admire the well-kept surroundings and beautiful mosaics of saints on the exterior walls. Inside, there are fantastic old frescoes adorning the walls and ceiling, creating a wonderful and tasteful atmosphere. The church also offers a souvenir shop for curious visitors to explore.
This church is a little jewel, we were amazed to enter in this garden with fabulous olive trees, certainly very old. Then the inside of the church…it was a delight to have such a surprise here in Ulcinj. The little shop has wonderful gifts and handmade products too. Don’t miss it!

The Seaman's Mosque, located in Ulcinj, holds a significant place in the history of continental Europe as one of its earliest mosques. Its origins trace back to local conversions to Islam influenced by Algerian traders navigating the Mediterranean. Unfortunately, it was destroyed during World War I but saw a revival when the Muslim Association in Montenegro began reconstruction efforts in 2008, culminating in its reopening on June 1, 2012.

One of the locals told me that it was built after some locals converted to Islam after trading with some muslim Algerian traders who sail the Mediterranean. It was destroyed in the first world war. The Muslim Association in Montenegro started rebuilding it in 2008. The mosque reopened 1st June 2012.

For closer sunbeds you have to buy a bottle between 150-300e which is insane.
They have alternatively sunbeds where you must order something and sunbeds where you can or don't have to, but they charge those 20e. And forbid to food and drinks. Yet offer small expensive drinks and food seems stale and tasteless.
Music is okay.
One of the biggest reasons why i’m leaving this review, one of the girls (yellow swimsuit/shorts) that is with the guys who drive the water scooters kept throwing cigarette buds and trash in the water where people were swimming. The music was too loud as always, unfortunately that hasn’t changed even though they received a lot of complaints about that. When it comes to the waiters they were nice with us and we didn’t have a problem with them.
Please teach your other staff basic manners and how to treat the surrounding area and the sea!
September 3. We ordered two coffees for reasonable prices and were able to go down the stairs to swim and take a shower, and sit in the bar area for free. We paid only for the coffees, nothing for swimming. Music a little too loud.
The most unpleasant service in all of Montenegro. They shout at guests (not us) because they changed their sunbeds for another. In the middle of the day (around 1 pm) they thought it was a great time to fold half the umbrellas and sunbeds. Calm disrupted for 2h. The worst was yet to come. At around 4 pm someone from the staff, wearing a white t-shirt with aquarium beach club written on it, came on the beach with a calnistre of old frying oil (probably) and within 6m of us poured the contents of the calnistre into the sea!!! In front of all the people to around and those in the sea bathing! It stank so much that we had to leave the place immediately!!! The stench was unbearable!!! I ADVISE EVERYONE AGAINST THIS PLACE!
The loud and awful Music they play is killing brain cells! The worst thing is even in the neighborhood beaches you can’t avoid it!

Ladies Beach Dada is a serene and picturesque spot, nestled among rocky cliffs and lush pine trees. I love this place even though it's very crowded in the season. Love the freedom of being naked without any inhibitions. The descent into the sea is not comfortable but once you're there it's a beautiful big bay to swim in. Very clean water and a sulphate spring which apparently is very good for the skin.

On a Sunday at the end of September, ladie’s beach was incredible. About 10 of us there. The cafe was closed and the chairs weren’t laid out. Just is, in safety, women of all ages and enjoying the sun, the water and the sulfur spring’s natural benefits. Naked, half dressed and dressed. Come as you are.
The beach is rocky and there are concrete block platforms to lay on. Bring your water shoes and take off your jewelry (my silver got suuuuper tarnished with the sulfur, but it polished easily). It’s cool to swim with the fish and explore the cave a bit. But just revel in the freedom of absence of the male gaze.
It was a little tricky for me to find, if you see “the gym in nature”, go to the opening in the fence to the left and down the hill. No photos for respect and privacy. Honestly the feeling there was so incredibly freeing.

Dont eat the food, i got food poisoning had to go to the hospital because i couldn’t stop throwing up the whole day.. on top of that everything is so overpriced, if you want a sunbed thats 8€ and the umbrella doesn’t come with it , you have to pay an additional 8€ for the umbrella… one of the ladies that works there is super nice, the other one isn’t. Over all overpriced and not a beach i would visit again
We love ladies beach! It’s such a cool vibe relaxing the water is besutoifuk it’s nice that it’s deeper water then at the beach. We don’t mind the smell of sulphur, you get used to it! At least you know it’s there and soothing and healing you. There’s a nice coffee/cafe at the top we normally just get coffees here. If you need there are lots of other bigger restaurants a short walk away which we like to go, turn left and you will see. They have amazing views too of other beaches.
But this is a special place where women can be free and relax. You can lay on the stones or pay for a bed whatever suits your needs!
I think they offer some other beautiful products regimes like face mask etc but ask the ladies who work here.

This is not a beach for Muslim ladies. I went there with my 2 daughters thinking swimming and bathing amongst covered ladies but not at all. Most of women are completely naked!!! There is a hijab beach 15mins driving away that is much better!
If barbieland was real, ladies beach would be its official beach place. Just a bunch of amazing women being free and living their life’s without worry. The beach is very clean, you can lay on the rocks or rent a sunbed for 8 euros. There’s a restaurant as well in case you want to eat or drink something and use the toilet. Swimsuit is optional and photos aren’t allowed

The restaurant is kind of hidden being situated on the second floor of the promenade to the Small Beach.
This place is AMAZING. First of all it is being owned by the family and you really feel this atmosphere.
The second is the service guys provide. They’re so attentive and careful, you would really feel the difference with other places.
Third is the food, it’s delicious! You would like it for sure since it is fresh and tasty.
Fourth is the price, it is either moderate or a bit lower.
With that being said I DO recommend this place for everyone being in the city!

Grilled calmari were bitter. A little burned which I didn’t expect after reading so many good reviews. Everyone is in obvious rush in this restaurant. Although the owner is nice, he should hire more people it seems. Focaccia is not focaccia if you wonder. It’s just a baked dough. My partner ordered pizza. This place was recommended by a trusted source and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is intimate with just 8 tables. You can watch your pizza being made in the wood fired oven. Service was very good as was the food. We started with garlic flatbread and it was crispy, chewy and buttery. My partner said his Hawaiian pizza was the best he'd ever had and my grilled shrimps were delish. Manhattan is open year round so you know the locals come here.
By far the best restaurant in Ulcinj, Owner was so kind, everything was so fresh. We ate there the best fish in Montenegro, I will always recommend this place to everyone. He fillet fish for us, gave us limoncello at the end.

The restaurant doesn't have a special parking place on it's own so it's the public parking space which is why u need parking ticket.

Beautiful setting in the trees overlooking the water. The food quality was excellent and reasonably priced. The truffle pasta and gazpacho were stand out dishes for me. Stunning coastline views from a breezy outdoor terraced restaraunt in a shady pine forest. The setting is top notch, honestly have not seen better, very very chill. Can’t say the same about their service. We arrived with two small kids for dessert and were directed to the lounge/bar area with zero seating available and lots of smokers. There were 15 or so available tables in the nearly empty dinner part of the restaraunt and yet they would not seat us there as it was 3 pm and we were not ready for a full blown meal. And tables are designated for dinner meals ONLY. Dessert does not count as food apparently 😳we were on our way out as one table opened up in the bar area - and we did get our coffee and cake with the stunning view and lotsa cigarette fumes but the hostess interaction left an aftertaste. Desserts btw were not worth the hassle - pistachio cheesecake came highly recommended but was too watery, and I definitely had better carrot cake. You pay for the view and that was unsurpassed

But just speak with the owners, they will guide you along. Best seafood I've ever had, easily. The sauce was incredible. Just look at my before/after photos!

The view is nice and all, but the ignorance of the staff ruins the whole experience. Waiters are very rude to clients, they literally acted rude because we asked for the menu to look at what type of food they serve, two minutes later he gives the menu to someone else and completely ignores us.
I would rate the place 1/10 just for the view, everything else was disappointing.

Seafood (mussels) and soups were great, but i can’t say the same thing about the carbonara (sadly) it was made with creamer (not yolk and cheese) wich made it bland. Overall the restaurant is worth recommending.

Very good place to relax, the drinks and food were really good, the parasol was 20€ for one day a price that is not so cheap, however behind the parasol there were lots of garbage, also near the cliff there are some. I suppose they come to the shore through the sea waves.
The food in general was good, not so much options to order besides fast food like: sandwiches, pizzas, french fries etc. However, no sea food, since we are at a sea shore they had only one option like fried Squid.
Prices of the drinks varies from 4€ - up to 8€
One small bottle of Nicksicko beer cost 4 euro and Aperol Spritz 8€.

Nice beach to relax. There is a lot of sunbeds on the beach to hire for 20€. There is a few spots to lay your towel for free and swim. The water is nice with a little floating pontoon you can lay on. There is some rubbish on the beach which is a shame.

It’s a really great place. Worth to see it. If you are in somewhere in Montenegro plan a quick trip here. It’s not a big country, everywhere is so close. We tried many hookah bars in ulcinj. When you search a quite place for good hookahs this is the place to go. They have original tobacco flavours. When my hookah at home is a 10 (I smoke with oblako). Then this hookah in the pablo bar would be a very strong 8. All other places would reach a max score of 3. But you have to take the 187 tabacco. Very Nice!

Out of 3 different tries of hookah in Ulcinj the one in Pablo's Bar was definitely the best. Thick and delicious smoke, the taste does not fade away in 10 minutes. I'll definitely recommend this place if you want a good hookah and will visit it myself on my next visit of Ulcinj.

Bad taste for music usually comes along with bad manners, and that’s exactly the case here. A single bar that doesn’t allow the whole city to sleep. It’s a shame for local authorities, that they are not capable (or willing) to do something about it.
Why is this bar allowed to keep everybody awake until 1 am every night? The music is extremely loud. Doesn't the city have any laws. With all windows and doors closed, you can hear the pounding of the music. I will never stay anywhere within a kilometer of this bar again.
The whole town cannot go to sleep because they play music at the absolute highest setting possible till 1AM.
Im here on holiday and this place is playing music so bloody loud you can hear it throughout the whole town all night. I feel so sorry for the locals who live here having to deal with it every day!

We went to this place today, prepared that there might not be anything there, based on previous reviews.
We knocked on the door and a friendly lady showed us the "olive oil store" (under her staircase. We asked for the plantation and she told us to go for "Holiday Park Olive Tree" on Google Maps. There is about 1.5 km to go. We went there, parked the car by the road and went by foot up the winding stone-road. There is a small brown sign by the road. I think we walked approximately 1 km om the stone road before arriving at a "glamping camp site". It turns out it is also a lovely place to have your holiday. We were not able to get a tour, or see the production. We did however see the very old trees and a lovely view over the sea.
Sold an almost inedible oil for a hefty price.

Whatever I choose to eat I am never disappointed.A great variety of dishes to satisfy most tastes.Great selection of wines and the beers are great.The ice cream I had today was really appreciated, a Madagascar vanilla.I am always treated well ,to say the least.The music is great and conducive for chilling atmosphere.The co-owner goes out of his way to make all guests comfortable and satisfied.For me as an average tourist this is the best restaurant in all of Ulqin.The location is great too being near the small beach.I really like hearing the different languages spoken.They treat all guests equally,from wherever they may be.Need I say more.?

Nice staff, nice atmosphere, but the food is really tasteless, horrible and disgusting. I ordered a ramstake (at first I was confused by the price of 15 €), when it was brought, I did not notice anything strange. But after trying it, I realized that 15 € is still a lot. I don't know how the sole of a military boot tastes, but it seems to me that if you add spices, then it would taste better than this steak. Most likely, they keep most of the menus for several days in the refrigerator / freezer or in some other place and then just reheat them in the microwave. Friends ordered pasta and salad, it tastes the same. Only the seafood pizza was good. In general, you can go in for a beer / wine and look at the view of the old town, but only from one side, but I definitely do not recommend going in to eat meat, pasta or salad
Few days ago I had carbonara in this place and I had the horrible food poisoning. I spent the entire night sick, lost the next day of vacation in bed, and needed days to fully recover. After seeing similar reviews, it’s clear this is not a one-time issue. I strongly advise avoiding this place.

We stayed in Ulcinj for 5 nights and ate here 5 times... enough said. But I'll say more. We (four of us) ordered a variety of things including the fish meal of the day, soups, salads, pizza, pasta, mushrooms, cheeses, and some traditional dishes too. Every single thing was delicious. This is an excellent family run restaurant with fabulous service. Not only were they more than happy to answer all of our food related questions, they also spent time getting to know us and answered all of our questions about the area. They shared their stories with us and we felt like part of the family. They were able to accommodate any food requests and gave us some special desserts and drinks to try on our visits. On our last evening the owner even arranged a ride to Kotor for us with his son, who serves at the restaurant. We were really sad to say goodbye and hope to see them again and indulge in more mouthwatering meals when we return to Montenegro. They made our trip even more enjoyable.

Accommodation in a disaster based on price, the toilet stinks so much that I vomit, the whole stench from the toilet is transferred to the bedroom, the shower is deformed, the bed creaks, the window in the bathroom cannot be opened, there is no positive thing about accommodation, Prices inflated, and little is invested in the renovation of the rooms.

From the moment you arrive, the friendly staff and relaxed seaside atmosphere make you feel completely at ease. We visited in October, sat outside and picked the best seat in the house and the staff brought us blankets in case we got cold. The view over the Adriatic is absolutely stunning even at night.
The seafood here is simply exceptional.we had fish soup and mussels to start. We were recommended the fish of the day and it did not disappoint. The fish was perfectly cooked, flaky and tender the potatoes and homemade bread, and grilled vegetables which were all delicious.
The service was top-notch, attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely welcoming and great recommendations for the rest of our stay.
A true coastal gem that deserves every one of its five stars! Thank you so much.

The father gave us the best service! We have just spent two weeks in Kotor Bay and miserable meals. We had the most wonderful meal here with great wine and great service and a very cozy environment! We will eat here again before we leave!
The View i absolutely stunning. You can see the sea and the beach. It is in a gorgeous part of the old city. The waiters are very kind and well educated on the menu. The food is perfect and the prices are nice. Would definitely recommend!!! There is something to eat for everyone.
We had two kinds of fish with mussels for an appetizer and it was all outstanding!! Plus, our server Diar was excellent, as was the overall service level. You should eat here and ask for Diar.

The service is nice. But sadly the knowhow is rather desirable.
If you look for a restaurant with a nice view over the city, it's a great place to be.
The ambiente is lovely. Rather windy.
For the restaurant:
If you know its windy, don't serve dishes that get cold fast when doing a Guéridon service. If you do, use hot plates or a Cloche to keep the food hot. Otherwise i don't see a point in doing the service if the food gets cold.
Or just plate it in the kitchen. Then everything can be good.
Just my opinion.

Beautiful location, the view is unrivalled. It was booked for an anniversary dinner. Highly recommend trying the local wine that comes with dinner. Although known for their seafood and fish in particular and it’s a lovely spectacle to watch them set fire to the plates! We opted for 2 different steak options which were cooked perfectly to our choice, seasoned well and veg delicious! Service attentive and thank you kindly for all your hard work!
Highly recommend Dulcinea. The fish was so fresh, filleted tableside and delicious! The view is unparalleled —and our server, Diar, was exceptional. Sweet, attentive and knowledgeable.

"A must-visit for seafood lovers!"
We ordered the fish platter for two, and it was hands down one of the best meals we had in Montenegro. The fish was wild-caught, grilled to perfection, and so fresh you could taste the sea. It came with grilled vegetables, potatoes, and a light lemon-herb dressing that brought everything together beautifully. The presentation was elegant, and the atmosphere remained cozy and welcoming. The owner even stopped by our table to explain the types of fish we were eating — in perfect English and Italian!

Food was nice, service was amazing. Our waitress was very sweet and made us feel right at home. A few hours later we walked past the restaurant again and the owner/chef greeted us and asked us how the food and experience was and told us he regretted not having the chance to ask is how the food was during our diner. He cracked some jokes and even knew some words in our native language. Funny guy, great service, good food with fair prices and a nice location. 10/10 would recommend!

We spent 4 days in Ulcinj, this was by far the best food, service, ambience and beautiful nautical atmosphere, artwork and touches. There are restaurants with beautiful views we tried and didn’t live up to the hype! I highly recommend Il Galeone. The owner and waiter were so friendly, kind and attentive. Most importantly, the food was DELICIOUS!!! We practically licked the plates! Fabulous. Thank you so much for making our anniversary dinner so special for our last evening in Ulcinj! :)
We ordered a soup and Carbonara, veal soup was very good but carbonara was dissapointment, its fake carbonara made with ham, simple like the one you make at home with ham, chesse, pasta and cooking cream. We also ordered green salad but mixed salad came instead. Total for drinks and food was 46€

The only thing that I did not like was that I couldn't pay with a card, cash only. But they told me that is the issue only out of season. So just be aware.

The fish plate for two was really tasty and more than enough food for two of us. Fresh fish and perfectly cooked! Highly recommend!
This place has the most amazing views. We were a party of 4 and came for dinner around 8 pm so the sunset was amazing. The staff are super friendly and will check in periodically so if you need anything extra you have ample opportunity to ask. Our server was great and a another friendly chap named Albert offered us shots as we were leaving, so the experience was quite friendly and welcoming.
However, the food left a lot to be desired. It all looked AMAZING on the plate but the taste was just not there. We had a seafood plate for 2, salmon and a fish fillet and we all had to season our food multiple times as were eating it. The marinade seemed to be mostly oil and needed a lot more garlic, herbs and salt. For the amount of money it all costs we'd expect to require next to nothing extra for it.
So just be aware that you're essentially paying for the view—the food may not be worth the price. I can't speak for anything else on the menu but the dishes we had were lacking.

The view is absolutely stunning ,a beautiful panorama of the sea and the city that truly makes the place feel special. The staff is incredibly friendly, polite, and welcoming - definitely one of the highlights of the visit.
Unfortunately, the kitchen completely ruined the experience. We were a group of six people, and not a single person enjoyed their meal. The food was bland and disappointing. For example, the Caprese salad (€7) had just three thin slices of tomato and two tiny pieces of mozzarella , it felt more like a joke than a proper dish.
One of our friends ordered octopus, but in addition to the seafood, we unexpectedly found pieces of chicken in the dish. While the staff kindly replaced the plate without hesitation, the taste still left much to be desired.
To top it off, there was no running water in the restroom - not in the sink, not in the toilet. When we asked about it, we were told to wash our hands at the bar, which was frankly shocking and very unhygienic.
It’s a shame the location and service are fantastic, but the food and facilities desperately need improvement. At this point, I would only recommend this place for a drink and the view, not for dining.

We had a wonderful experience here! We ordered the traditional fish, by our weiters recomandation, and it was the best fost I ever eaten! ❤️ The portions are huge, the staff is very friendly, really nice atmosfere! I would 100% recomand! ❤️
Thank you for the dinner! It was delicious. We came here attracted by the reviews and all expectations were more than exceeded. The staff was very friendly, it's pretty clear that they love what they're doing. Prices are higher than in other places around but the views and food are worth it. Highly recommend!
