Ulcinj, located in the Coastal region of Montenegro, is a historic town with a rich past dating back to the 5th century BC. Specialty Museums
The Museum of Local History in Ulcinj offers a glimpse into the town's rich and complex history, shaped by the interaction of eastern and western influences over 2,000 years. Housed in a building that has transitioned from a Renaissance church to a mosque, the museum showcases archaeological artifacts and provides insight into Ulcinj's cultural heritage. Visitors can explore exhibits featuring traditional clothing, tools, and other historical items.
Very affordable at 1€ entrance fee. Short attractions which shows little bit of a the Ulcinj's history. Due to lack of safety rails I would recommend for older children with parent supervision, especially on the wall, where the view is great but there is no guardrails.
Marcin S — Google review
The entrance fee is affordable - €1. The views are great and there’s a little bit of history to learn but there’s not much, could be done in less than 30 minutes.
Ameliah M — Google review
At the top of Ulcinj’s Old Town, there is a building with a rich history, which has served various purposes over the centuries. This building, now housing the Ulcinj Museum, has an interesting past, having changed its function and religious affiliation over time. History of the Building: • Church of St. Mark: Originally, this building was constructed as the Church of St. Mark during the Venetian rule over Ulcinj, likely between the 14th and 15th centuries. The church played a significant role in the religious and cultural life of the city during the Venetian period. • Converted into a Mosque: After Ulcinj was conquered by the Ottoman Empire in 1571, the Church of St. Mark was converted into a mosque. The mosque was named Namazgah. This practice of converting churches into mosques was common during the Ottoman expansion to accommodate the religious needs of the Muslim community. • Ulcinj Museum: Today, this building functions as the Ulcinj Museum. The museum holds a rich collection of archaeological artifacts, ethnographic exhibits, and historical documents that illustrate the region’s vibrant past. The museum building itself is a significant historical monument, reflecting the turbulent history of Ulcinj and its transformation over the centuries. This structure, with its layered history, is a testament to the cultural and religious heritage of Ulcinj, reflecting the changes that have occurred in the region throughout different historical periods.

Very nice place, but part was closed and there are no guides there unfortunately or anyone that can say anything abot this place.

Lovely small museum with some info about the history of Ulcinj city. You won’t miss something if you skip it. It’s ok but that’s it.

Very pretty and impressive. Many old artifacts. But I have seen better..
Yonadav V — Google review
Good prices to look round. Not disabled friendly. Staff lovely.
Becky D — Google review
We found this to be somewhat underwhelming. The upside is that it is very cheap to enter (€1.50) and the panoramic views from the top of the wall are quite nice. It is important to note that during our visit (June, 2022), there was significant renovation under way, which made some areas inaccessible and diminished the experience. The man working at the museum (Antonne) was VERY kind and helpful, and he explained several interesting features to us.

Restaurant
Located in the heart of Old Town Ulcinj, Restaurant Antigona offers a wealth of dining experiences. This family-friendly restaurant is popular among both tourists and locals, known for its delicious breakfasts and free WiFi. With a prime location and a diverse menu, it's a must-visit spot when exploring the vibrant food scene in Ulcinj.
Amazing views over Adriatic sea from the terrace, comfortable and spacious seating, delicious food and a very nice service. Staff were really helpful and friendly. We tried fish mix for 2 people, and it was great. I highly recommend a visit. The only thing that I did not like was that I couldn't pay with a card, cash only. But they told me that is the issue only out of season. So just be aware.
Harun T — Google review
We went here as a couple for dinner. The atmosphere with the sunset was beyond beautiful. The view is stunning. Friendly and welcoming staff, especially Alberto 🍻 The fish plate for two was really tasty and more than enough food for two of us. Fresh fish and perfectly cooked! Highly recommend!
Faruk M — Google review
This place has the most amazing views. We were a party of 4 and came for dinner around 8 pm so the sunset was amazing. The staff are super friendly and will check in periodically so if you need anything extra you have ample opportunity to ask. Our server was great and a another friendly chap named Albert offered us shots as we were leaving, so the experience was quite friendly and welcoming. However, the food left a lot to be desired. It all looked AMAZING on the plate but the taste was just not there. We had a seafood plate for 2, salmon and a fish fillet and we all had to season our food multiple times as were eating it. The marinade seemed to be mostly oil and needed a lot more garlic, herbs and salt. For the amount of money it all costs we'd expect to require next to nothing extra for it. So just be aware that you're essentially paying for the view—the food may not be worth the price. I can't speak for anything else on the menu but the dishes we had were lacking.
Mare 9 — Google review
Brilliant here. There were stunning views of the ocean from our seats and general atmosphere was very nice. The food was delicious. I recommend the sea bass as it was a high quality fish. Service was fast and all the staff were very kind. Highly recommended.
Iwan D — Google review
The view is absolutely stunning ,a beautiful panorama of the sea and the city that truly makes the place feel special. The staff is incredibly friendly, polite, and welcoming - definitely one of the highlights of the visit. Unfortunately, the kitchen completely ruined the experience. We were a group of six people, and not a single person enjoyed their meal. The food was bland and disappointing. For example, the Caprese salad (€7) had just three thin slices of tomato and two tiny pieces of mozzarella , it felt more like a joke than a proper dish. One of our friends ordered octopus, but in addition to the seafood, we unexpectedly found pieces of chicken in the dish. While the staff kindly replaced the plate without hesitation, the taste still left much to be desired. To top it off, there was no running water in the restroom - not in the sink, not in the toilet. When we asked about it, we were told to wash our hands at the bar, which was frankly shocking and very unhygienic. It’s a shame the location and service are fantastic, but the food and facilities desperately need improvement. At this point, I would only recommend this place for a drink and the view, not for dining.
Yulia S — Google review
Proper good restaurant! Fantastic food, superb location and customer service to end all customer service. These guys do it right. Alberto runs the show and hits all the spots .. you have to go.

Thank you for the dinner! It was delicious. We came here attracted by the reviews and all expectations were more than exceeded. The staff was very friendly, it's pretty clear that they love what they're doing. Prices are higher than in other places around but the views and food are worth it. Highly recommend!

If you're on the hunt for a dining experience that stands out, look no further than Aragosta Tavern & Pizza Restaurant. This gem offers an enticing selection of pizzas and pasta crafted from fresh, authentic ingredients, making it ideal for those craving a quick yet satisfying meal. Nestled in a prime location, its inviting ambiance attracts both locals and visitors alike. Aragosta has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years under new management.
I had a delicious dinner at Aragosta, risotto with sea fruits, and a glass of local Montenegreen white wine! The staff was exceptional, the food was great, judging on part of what I ate, since I haven’t tried the other dishes, but it seems they know how. Fully recommend!!
Nikson B — Google review
Unfortunately, I can’t say much positive about this place. The atmosphere is pleasant with a nice view of the beach and the sea. However, my breakfast did not meet expectations: I ordered scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, but what I received was two overcooked eggs on bread with barely any salmon. Quite disappointing, and the price does not match the quality.
IBI — Google review
Restaurant Aragosta, despite receiving some unfavorable reviews in the past, has undergone significant changes over the last two years. Now under different management, the restaurant has transformed its offerings and service. Specializing in Mediterranean cuisine, Aragosta serves a variety of delectable dishes that have delighted its patrons. Additionally, the staff are known for their politeness and attentiveness, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all guests.

Small Beach, also known as Mala Plaza, is a lively city beach with soft sandy shores and calm waters perfect for swimming. It is one of the many beautiful beaches in Ulcinj, offering a picturesque backdrop of rocky cliffs and the old town. The warm, clear sea with exceptional transparency makes it an irresistible destination for tourists seeking relaxation and natural beauty. While some find it crowded and not well-maintained, others appreciate its energetic atmosphere and standard amenities.
Lovely city beach. Yet, expect it to be crowded (and traffic jam, as well ) in summer season. Enjoy.
Can B — Google review
The water was so dirty I was afraid to swim in it. Jet skis are everywhere and the beach smells of gasoline, it's not even safe to swim. This beach used to be great, now I don't recommend it to anyone
Luan D — Google review
Thehe main city beach — and you can tell the second you see it. The location is super central, right under the old town, so it’s easy to get to, and there are tons of cafés, restaurants, and bars just steps away. But here’s the reality: in summer, it’s packed. Like, shoulder-to-shoulder packed — finding a free spot for your towel can be a challenge. And with that many people, there’s also a lot of trash around: cigarette butts in the sand, plastic cups, bottles. The city cleans it, but the crowds keep making a mess. The water itself can be nice and calm, good for kids, and the view of the old town is amazing, especially at sunset. But if you’re looking for a peaceful, clean beach day, this probably isn’t the spot. Great for a quick swim or to grab a drink by the water, but if you want space and clean sand — head to one of the bigger beaches outside the city.
One F — Google review
The beach was disappointing — dirty sand and an uncomfortable atmosphere with men constantly staring at women. A beach set with an umbrella costs 20€ for the whole day, which feels overpriced. There’s a toilet on the left side that costs 1€ to enter (like a chicken coop), and another on the right side for 0.50€, though we didn’t try it.
Rytis Š — Google review
Very crowded, ‘swimming’ area is only 10 metres away from the beach and very shallow. Jetskis doing high speed runs dangerously close to swimmers. Overall meh
Karlo J — Google review
The main charm of this place is the sandy beach. A very nice place. You will have to go a little long to get to the depths, but it is not a problem. There are sun loungers and umbrellas. There are freely available toilets, to put it mildly, not the cleanest and most well-kept, but at least something. You also need to get down from the mountain to the beach, because the whole city is on a mountain, and all the streets go downhill. And back, when you're toasty and salty, going uphill isn't as fun as going down.
Nika N — Google review
A nice sandy beach, nothing really bad to say about it. You can pay for deckchairs and umbrellas here, but i recommend bringing your own. The water is a bit dirty, but not too much. They also have Jet Ski's and if you swim very far out in the sea, you have to watch out for them as people ride them very often. Overall, it's a nice, big sandy beach and i have no complaints about it.
Ernad M — Google review
I read the reviews and can confirm that this place is disgusting. There is trash all over the place and the beach is littered with cigarette butts. There is nowhere you can place your towel without laying on top of trash. We didn’t even want to go in the water. It’s super sad that it’s like this because the bag itself is beautiful and it would have been a great day to relax and swim.

Visitors can enjoy friendly service, delicious pizza, and attractive prices at the on-site restaurant. The beach provides clean water for swimming and a more peaceful atmosphere compared to other beaches in the area.
Great place to watch the sunset. Elegant dining and breathtaking views. The service was great. This is a more expensive place compared to the city but definitely worth it. I would definitely come back and I highly recommend.

One of the best fish restaurants I have ever visited. Fresh Adriatic fish, restaurant basically in the sea with stunning view, reasonable prices, best fish soup I ever tried, kind and proffesioanl staff, great owner. You should visit this place when you are in south Montenegro. Book your place in advance, try fish soup and wide and rich fish daily palete.

Highly recommend this restaurant in Montenegro! 🥩🐟 The steak was cooked to perfection and the fish was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The service was attentive and friendly, and the live music made the evening even more special. A great place to enjoy delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere.

I try not to check reviews before I go somewhere anymore but this time I wish I did. We had two pizze and I wouldn't go there for pizza again. Maybe other meals are better, that idk. (The dough was missing salt, the cheese didn't taste like quality). The salad was ok. The service was good, very kind and quick, the location right at the sea is nice of course ;)
Marieke K — Google review
Please don't waste your money on food here. The sopska salads were good but... only a tomato, cucumber and some cheese. I also ordered a vegetable soup and it was literally water with condiments, that's all, not a vegetable in sight. And the waiter was so not interested to do his job.
Diana C — Google review

Kind of mediocre, fair for that price. They have great coffe but keep in mind that if your breakfast consists of olives it will literally be 2 olives. Same goes for tomato, 1 slice included in "vegetable omlette".

Cabo Beach is one of the 12 beaches on Long Beach that has been awarded the Blue Flag. It is located between the city of Ulcinj and the village Stoj. The beach offers a nice atmosphere with lots of trees, but it tends to get very crowded. Visitors have praised the large restaurant with friendly and helpful staff, although some have found the food quality to be inconsistent. The beach provides amenities such as free parking with shade, umbrellas for rent, clean toilets and showers.
Nice beach, lots of trees. However, it's very crowded. Big restaurant with very very friendly and helpful staff. The food was so so. We ordered some sea food which was cold, the garnish was also cold (cold baked potatoes). The steaks and pastas were hot, also the pizza and foccacia were hot. But, like I said, the staff was more than great. We were a big group, our order was big, but they could handle it anyway. We got some drinks on the house 😉
San D — Google review
It's a nice beach with a nice restaurant and bar. We visited during May before the season started. While most of the beach bars and restaurants were not working due to the season not starting yet, Cabo Beach Bar was working and even let us use the sunbeds for free. Prices are reasonable. Latte and espresso for 4.5 euros is just fine. There is ample parking space. The beach is not super clean, but it's fine.
Harun T — Google review
Beautiful beach! It’s part of the Long Beach, the longest sandy beach on the Adriatic. There are sunbeds and umbrellas — set costs 15 euros. There are also swinging beds (set with bed, table, and 2 sunbeds — 25 euros), and it’s wonderful to swing and watch the sea. The sand is dark volcanic, and the entry into the sea is very gentle. Endless sea, amazing atmosphere. There are showers and changing cabins. Big parking. There’s also a café.
Valentina G — Google review
Nice place. Free parking with shadow, baldachin for 22€, toilet, shower, clean. Sandy beach, ideal for children. The restaurant has good breakfast, coffee, and lunch as well for fair prices (f.e. pleskavica for 8€). Highly reccommended!
Csaba V — Google review
Good options of beach chairs and cabanas but sand is black (most pictures show it white) and some locals are very loud and not a very ‘relaxing’ atmosphere when combined with employees viciously revving jetskis and doing laps at very high speed extremely close to swimmers. Pair of sunbeds and umbrella was 15€ for the day in June 2025. Overall good but wouldn’t go again
Karlo J — Google review

Plenty of parking space. They also have a small playground for kids, a volleyball court, and showers (with very cold water). The restaurant is decent, though the music was too loud. Nothing major to complain about. We went in September, and it was a little chilly, but still fine.

The beach isn't usually crowded, and visitors have the option to rent chairs, umbrellas, or even a whole tent in the VIP area. While the food is average, it's still available. This beach is known for being great for swimming in Montenegro and offers a quiet atmosphere, especially during pre-season.
Beautiful sandy beach, the price of the seats was included in our stay. But we always came to take a swim at 5 pm, from that hour on the seats are free for everyone.

One of the most beautiful spots in Ulcinj, where you feel both like a guest and a friend. The beach is immaculate – clean, well-organized, and without a doubt the best beach in Ulcinj. The restaurant serves an excellent breakfast, fresh and delicious, with a wonderful view and a relaxing atmosphere. What makes the biggest difference is the staff – always smiling, attentive, and ready to help with anything you need. From the very first moment, you get a genuine sense of hospitality and warmth. Once you visit, you’ll definitely want to come back!

Havana Beach is one of the 12 beaches on Long Beach that has been awarded the Blue Flag. It offers a great beach experience with clean sea and sand, and it's not crowded. The facilities are well-maintained, including clean toilets, dressing cabins, and a satisfactory restaurant. There's no loud music, and lifeguards constantly monitor swimmers for safety. The parking lot is organized and shaded, while the beach furniture set by the sea is available for a fee.
Very nice beach! The Baldachine are quite comfortable and they look like new! Decent prices, clean toilets, decent food!
Paul G — Google review
Along this wide stretch of coast, the beach establishments follow one after another, like stalls at a fair: one untidy, with litter in the sand and shabby loungers; another altogether abandoned, with broken equipment and a sense of neglect. And then suddenly there opens a different place — as if from another life: everything is clean, well-kept, the sea transparent and shallow, where children can play safely in the waves. There are few people, and no noise or bustle — only the steady sound of the surf, calm and soothing. In the small restaurant by the beach they serve plain but honest food — the portions are huge, generous, and the children ate with rare delight. Prices are quite reasonable. And in the heart remained that quiet satisfaction which comes from an encounter with true order and genuine care for people.
Begimoto F — Google review
Simply excellent! Great beach with clean sea & sand. Not crowded whatsoever. Facilities in great condition, toilets extra clean, large number of dressing cabins, satisfactory restaurant. No loud music. Lifeguards constantly checking on swimmers. Parking lot is well organized and shaded. The first row of beach mobiliar set (by the sea) is 12 euro per day.

Toilet was clean (with a dedicated cleaning lady), food was good compared to the nearby coral beach but not as good as a pro restaurant. Wifi is strong and you can pay by card in the restaurant.
Maged A — Google review
It was very clean beach, with shadow covered parking. The sun bed is 7 euro. Unfortunetly there is no english menu in the restaurant and you cant pay with card! Beer is overpriced like other restaurants nearby.
Gergely T — Google review
Nice place for families. Water at this beach is perfect for small kids. Staff is very friendly. Prices in bar are one of the best and food from a good quality.
Global R — Google review
The best place, excellent staff, exceptional food, with second to non service.

Best beach in Ulcinj, clean with lots of artificial parking shades. Restaurant have very nice and friendly staff. Toilets very clean and maintained whole day. Pizzas, wraps and salads are awesome. Maybe good idea to put some sea food in menu. Otherwise 11 from 10

Liman is a small, rocky beach known for its popularity among swimmers and snorkelers. The area also offers nearby food and drink vendors for convenience. Visitors can enjoy the serene and tranquil atmosphere created by the pristine sand and crystal-clear water. Immaculate sunbeds provide utmost comfort for those looking to relax in the sun. While it may be a bit slippery to access the water without experience, the clear sea, abundance of rocks, and beautiful scenery make it an attractive destination.
Amazing beach. Just the rocks are making it hard to enter and exit the water but great for snorkeling and it’s soooo clean! Unlike the small beach nearby

Here in Montenegro, a beach near Old Town of Ulcinj. Very good place to relax, the drinks and food were really good, the parasol was 20€ for one day a price that is not so cheap, however behind the parasol there were lots of garbage, also near the cliff there are some. I suppose they come to the shore through the sea waves. The food in general was good, not so much options to order besides fast food like: sandwiches, pizzas, french fries etc. However, no sea food, since we are at a sea shore they had only one option like fried Squid. Prices of the drinks varies from 4€ - up to 8€ One small bottle of Nicksicko beer cost 4 euro and Aperol Spritz 8€. The service was really good they were friendly and professional.
Nikson B — Google review
Nice beach to relax. There is a lot of sunbeds on the beach to hire for 20€. There is a few spots to lay your towel for free and swim. The water is nice with a little floating pontoon you can lay on. There is some rubbish on the beach which is a shame.
Leah W — Google review
Very unpleasant staff. After four years of visiting I'll never come again. Beach itself is nice place to visit but toilet is awfull, very slippery stones on shore and in watter. I'm posting pictures from 2019. and 2023. It's easy to spot diferences

Nice rocky beach where you can get a snack and something to drink. It's good for snorkeling but not spectacular. Only the toilet is a bit dirty and wild :D

White Beach is one of the 12 beaches on Long Beach that has been awarded the Blue Flag. It's a popular and clean beach where visitors can simply lay down their towels and enjoy the sun, although it's advisable to have some shade protection. This very large beach offers plenty of space during the week, making it a great spot for relaxation. However, in the evening, visitors should be cautious about mosquitoes looking for warm blood.
Many people, but nice and clean beach. Just lay down your towels and you are ready to go. Dont forget to have something above your head to protect yourself from the sun.

Velika Plaza is a great place, but avoid this restaurant. Nothing special, but I was annoyed by chipped of paint that I could not remove from my hand and dirty bench seats.

Pearl Beach 1 is a great place for families. There's a large parking area with pine trees behind the beach, so you can park your car in the shade. One of the best things about this beach is the masjid (mosque) near the parking area. It's a big square building with bamboo decorations. Next to the mosque, there's a fountain where you can perform ablution or wash off sand before getting into your car. This beach is good for conservative families, including women who wear hijabs. For fun, there are water slides that cost €5 for 30 minutes. You can also rent jet skis for €30 for 15 minutes. Overall, Pearl Beach 1 is a wonderful place to visit with family and friends.

I didn’t really liked that much it was so so so much expensive and i think its not worth it the manager or i don’t know who that is, is so rude in the chatting the service is not good im writing this to tell you that i don’t recommend at all i didn’t feel good there i had worst time and paid way too mich expensive. Also not forgetting to mention that the smoke of grill made us throw up it was all over the beach. Don’t recommend this beach at all!! 👎🏼

(Translated by Google) This beach is very suitable for families and hijabis. There is a good service, clean beach and you feel very comfortable here. You can park your car for free in the shade. There is also a space where you can sunbathe as a woman with hijab. There is also a Masjid where you can pray which is very ideal. The toilets that are there are also spacious and clean. We paid €20 for two chairs and a parasol. The water is clear and remains shallow for a long time. I definitely recommend it!

Outdoor Activities
Long Beach is a vast expanse of shoreline, dotted with numerous dining options and schools for kitesurfing. The beach's sand is colored brown, with some volcanic grains intermingled. The sea gradually slopes away from the shore, stretching hundreds of meters outwards, providing a safe environment for children to swim. This beach is famous for its size and beauty and considered the best in Montenegro by many visitors.
Lovely dark sand on the beach and in the sea. Sea is beautiful when the weather is calm - to my luck. You might expect the sea to be mixed up, and perhaps muddier when it's windy or overcrowded, perhaps. Ulcinj has beautiful sandy beaches, and possibly only ones in Montenegro. Enjoy
Can B — Google review
A beach like any other. The good thing about beaches in Montenegro is that you can go in with your dog — just like in normal European countries, such as those in Eastern Europe, where so-called Western European 'culture' thankfully hasn’t arrived yet.
Marcin — Google review
Great place, soft sand, lots of bars near. The water was absolutely fantastic! 100% must go!
Andrei M — Google review
It's a passable beach. The water isn't very deep. The entire beach is divided into businesses and is very long. There are too many wasps. They bothered us a lot.
Ugur K — Google review
Velika plaža is a sandy beach in Ulcinj, Montenegro. The beach is located on the Adriatic coast, 5 km from the city. The length of the beach is 13 km, and the width is on average 60 m. Due to its size and fine sand, it is also called the "Ulcinj Copacabana" we didn't sit in cafes because the prices are too high, and there is enough space on the beach to put up an umbrella and enjoy the old way, the so-called tomato tourists, in the video below you can see what it looks like.
Dejan B — Google review
Dirty black sand. Bed costs 40€ in Mykonos beach.
Giedrius S — Google review
A beautiful sand beach, the water is clean. Probably one of the best places in Montenegro. The beach is not the best for city people though, cause there isn't music playing around and there are 1-2 caffes. Amazing beach though!
Sale V — Google review
The largest and cleanest beach i have seen across Montenegro. No trash floating in the water, large sandy area, plenty of space, not overcrowded. The water is shallow, and because of fine sand, very cloudy, not for snorkeling. As that is flat shore, no bay, there are waves almost all the time. In 5-7 pm there are huge traffic jams of people leaving the beach🚦, so try to leave earlier or stay later. Typically, if you come after 5 pm, nobody will charge you for sun beds.
