Syvota in 1 day

If you only have 1 day to spend in Syvota, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Syvota is a coastal village on Greece’s Ionian Sea, known for its sheltered bays, clear turquoise waters and lush, green islets just offshore. Visitors come for its attractive beaches such as Bella Vraka and Megali Ammos, accessible by foot or short boat rides. The small harbor offers waterfront tavernas, cafes and bars, making it a relaxed base for seafood meals and evening strolls. Syvota is also a convenient starting point for boat trips and excursions to nearby Parga, Corfu and the islands of Paxoi and Antipaxoi.
With favorites like Bella Vraka Beach, Mamma Mia, and Blue Coast Restaurant, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like APENANTI and Charlie’s so you can get the best taste of Syvota while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Bella Vraka Beach is a small, unique beach located on the islet of Mourtemeno, accessible from Syvota via a short walk through shallow waters. The beach is known for its clear waters and connection to the small island of Mourtemeno, allowing visitors to literally walk over the shallows to reach the other side.
A unique and beautiful beach — a must-visit if you’re in Syvota! 🌊 To get there, you have to walk through a shallow strip of water, which adds a fun little adventure, especially for kids. The water is crystal clear, and the surroundings are wild and unspoiled. Bring water shoes for the rocks and anything you might need, as there aren’t many facilities. A hidden gem, perfect for a peaceful getaway.
Jean-Michel B — Google review
Very nice beach with amazing scenery and turquoise water. There’s a little cocktail boat bar and paddle boards for rent. The walk through the water is absolutely worth it. I have to warn you however there are no sunbeds or restaurants. Also you have to be careful to not leave your food, because the local goats will eat it. Worth it for a family
Stiliyan Y — Google review
It's a very interesting beach because it's on an island, so you have to go through the water to get there. The beach is pebbly and the water is shallow. It's very good for swimming and snorkelling. There is another small beach close by, which is accessible via a trail through the woods. It is also very beautiful. The main attraction is the goats that live there and are very friendly with tourists.
Tzvetan G — Google review
Perfect for kids. The middle beach area is the best with sand on the bottom. The right one is less crowded, excellent for padl boarding. You have to walk through the water to get to the beach area. It is reachable by boat.
Reneta B — Google review
Nice beach, nothing special. Nice walkable pass between the land and an island. Be careful of the goats! They come from the ambush and eat everything eatable you have taken with you on the beach. When they are in a feeding frenzy they don't give a damn about anything around them. Really anoying moment on the island. They show up from nothing.
Siha M — Google review
interesting experience, until wild goats started coming :), worth visiting we explored the area with snorkles, some cove areas deeper have few garbage left and not a pretty site. There is a boat for drinks and food water is great and open beach with fantastic views and natural shade if wisited from afternoon.
Gëzim R — Google review
A beautiful spot below Movenpick, with crystal-clear waters and soft sand. The highlight is the shallow stretch where you can wade across to a small island on foot—an experience that feels unique.
Loren R — Google review
The two stars are for the natural environment and the experience of going to an island on foot...Other than that, you are in for an unpleasant surprise...the beach is dirty, the path to the second beach is filthy and filled with used paper towels after people wiped you know what...This alone makes you feel that sand and sea are also dirty...It's a shame...Avoid at all costs it really isn't worth it as there are so many (much better) options...

Blue Lagoon Beach is a small but stunning beach located near Sivota, attracting numerous tourists. The best time to visit is in the afternoon when the sun illuminates the turquoise waters and sandy shores. Accessible only by boat, this little slice of paradise offers pure, intensely blue waters perfect for swimming, diving, and snorkeling. Visitors can also explore the surrounding area by boat and enjoy a leisurely day trip with lunch included.
The best beach near Syvota for sure, the sand is perfect and the color of the sea is incredible there. Very clear waters and great place for snorkeling because there are a great number of fishes swimming around you. You can get there with the taxi boats from Syvota port.
Slavco S — Google review
The water and the beach deserve five stars. The boats coming too close to the shore or the noisy people... this is a different story. If people were more respectful about nature and about others, we would all enjoy the beauty around us more. We came by boat, in the morning and in the afternoon when there are less boats around. We enjoyed snorkeling as there are many fishes swimming really close and the water is crystal clear.
Denisa-Violeta D — Google review
Like a dream come true, you have to experience it! Swimming with fishes in this beautiful water cures all your problems:) I highly recommend taking Pegasus Boat trip, small boat with 20-25 person, Kostas the Captain is the kindest, funniest guy, and they are so good in creating a party environment!
Zsófia K — Google review
Nice place. But bring some shoes for water because there are a lot of small stones which makes it a bit uncomfortable to walk.
M. K — Google review
We visited in the beginning of July... Really disappointed with the amount of people and the noise in the beach... It is way way overcrowded both in the beach as well as in the sea from rental boats, private boats and cruises... Really disappointed... I would propose to avoid as the beach is nice (there are way better in Greece) but does not worth the hustle... If you wish to visit regardless, then try to visit after 15.00 as before is getting too overwhelming... As said we visited beginning of July and it was overcrowded, really cannot imagine how bad it will be on August time...
Evgenios — Google review
Far too popular for the size of the beach. Taxi boats (which we were on one) ferrying people there conveniently every 30/60 minutes and lots of private boats too. The water is lovely and it could be very beautiful if it was less popular.
Phillip M — Google review
It's a very nice place to go, if you have a boat in your possession, but you need to arrive very early or late during the day, because it gets filled with many people. The waters are very clean and nice, they have a bright blue colour, unless you go deep enough they theyvstart to get dark. There are a lot of little and big fish in the water and it is a very nice place to bring some diving or snorkeling goggles with you. If you're lucky enough, you might even be able to swim along with the fishies. They look very funny. The shore is not that far away from where you can dock your boat. But it is similar to the other coasts in the vicinity. With many little rocks instead of sand. Overall it is worth a visit and is probably one of the places to go if you're in Sivota.
Jimmy M — Google review
Nice beach, pristine water (the same can be said about all of the beaches in the area). However, it can get quite busy around 10-15. I recommend going in the afternoon ( around 15-18), because thats when the big tourist boats from Corfu have left and there will be less people around. Also watch out for jelly fish

Amazing scuba diving experience by boat! Alexandros' professionalism and his good vibes made the dive an unforgettable and super safe experience! The diving gear is very well maintained and is of top-notch quality. The marine life is very unique at Ionian sea! We had the opportunity to see Lionfishes, corals, Mediterranean morays and nudibranches among the huge variety of beautiful fishes. We also dive inside a cave with wonderful geological formations. We will visit Deep Blue Divers again certainly.

I recently went on a diving trip with my 10-year-old daughter, and I can honestly say it was one of the most beautiful and memorable experiences we’ve ever had together. From the moment we arrived, the instructors were warm, professional, and extremely patient — especially with children. My daughter was a little nervous at first, but within minutes, she was completely comfortable and absolutely thrilled with the experience. She’s been talking about it nonstop ever since! A special thank you to Matteo, our dive guide and instructor, who was absolutely fantastic. His calm and reassuring presence made all the difference. He took great care of us, especially my daughter, and made sure we felt completely safe and relaxed underwater. Thanks to him, we were able to truly enjoy every moment of this magical adventure. The underwater world was stunning — colorful fish, crystal-clear water, and that peaceful feeling of discovering a new world together. Sharing that with my daughter was priceless. If you’re considering trying diving with your child, I couldn’t recommend it more. This was more than just an activity — it was a shared adventure we’ll both treasure for a lifetime.

I did Open Water here, and it was such a pleasure to be able to do it here. The instructor was really professional, explained every single details, and patiently waiting for me complete the exercises in a good quality which build the good foundation (My partner who has master said other diving centres would not do in that details with care). The vibes and advices my instructor gave me relieved me a lot, I was scared and felt uncomfortable about breathing and other stuff. I felt love in underwater even though I wasn't that interested in thanks to the ppl in this diving centre and my instructor. They kindly took care of my partner who did not do the course really well. Thank you so much for all the ppl here and highly recommend!!

Absolutely fantastic experience! I went on a snorkeling trip with my wife and our two kids (12 and 14), and we had an amazing time. Everything was well-organized and on time, with refreshments provided on the boat. The diving spots were stunning, with clear water and lots of marine life to see. Alexandros joined us for the day — an expert diver and a truly outstanding guide. We highly recommend this to anyone interested in snorkeling or diving. Their shop in Sivota is also worth a visit, with a great selection of high-quality gear for sale.

I learned to dive with Alexandria last year. He was exceptional. I’ve come back 2x since then to do the fun dives and it’s just wonderful. There is so much to see, good variety of dives and everything in terms of equipment is the best of the best, the team are outstanding. And they’re all so very nice people to spend time with too. You’re in unquestionably the safest hands in the Mediterranean.

We visited Deep Blue Divers as a family with our child. Everything was very clearly explained, which made us feel comfortable and safe throughout the dive. The team is highly professional, friendly and making sure that both adults and children feel well taken care of. It was a wonderful experience - I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a safe and enjoyable introduction to scuba diving.

Would highly recommend Deep Blue Divers. Alexandros and his team are just fantastic. Excellent communication pre diving and good fun but safe divers to dive with. Nice, chilled, un rushed approach. Full service with kit and boat. We brought our own regs and they looked after our equipment with care, as if it was their own. All very professional, they picked us up with all our kit for no extra charge. Excellent dive sites and a wonderful boat / crew. Knowledgeable about the dive sites and good fish spotting. The way Alexandros and his team looks after his equipment and shop is a testament to his professionalism and respect for the sport. I have never seen such a clean and tidy kit room, with all new high quality equipment. I definitely recommend this dive centre for seasoned divers and novices alike. What a brilliant experience ! Can’t rate them highly enough 😁

Ice cream shop
Melenio, an ice cream shop in a pleasant location, offers both refreshing ice cream and traditional Greek desserts. The charming decor adds to the overall appeal of the place. The menu includes a variety of delectable options, with flavors such as pistachio and banoffee standing out. On hot days, their perfectly made ice coffees are a great choice. Prices are reasonable for the area, and the portions are generous.
Ice-cream is very tasty. I am not big ice-cream person but this is very good. Especially after 8 taste. Polite service an decent price.

We have been to Greece every single year since 2021 and we've had portokalopita ( orange pie) many times before, but nothing compares to this. This is the best greek orange pie we have ever eaten! Coming here is a must if you are in Syvota. Also, don't forget to try their absolutely delicious ice cream!

When we went to Sivota on a boat trip, we got ice cream from here and I’m not exaggerating — the “dark” was the best chocolate ice cream I’ve ever had in my life! It literally felt like eating pure dark chocolate 😍 I loved it so much that before getting back on the boat, I went and bought another one just so I could eat it again 🤤 By the way, the other flavors I tried — pistachio and cookie — were also really good. But that dark… was on another level!!

Restaurant
Nestled in the picturesque marina of Sivota, Blue Coast Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience that captures the essence of Greek hospitality. With stunning views of the harbor and charming hills dotted with quaint buildings, this family-run establishment creates a cozy atmosphere perfect for enjoying delicious meals. Guests rave about their homemade bread, which is best enjoyed toasted, alongside mouthwatering dishes like kebabs, moussaka, and meatballs. The grilled octopus is particularly noteworthy—tender and juicy to perfection!
Fabulous food served by lovely staff. The hosts Angie and Murt have created a beautiful ambience on the harbour front. They are willing to discuss the menu and have years of experience of Sivota and what people enjoy. Give it a try you won't regret it .
Chris R — Google review
the portions were so small and so expensive and really not that great we got the risotto the kebab , fries out of the refrigerator, greek salad with no oil or salt and not even for 1 person and the meat was very bad the quality also and dry too. the risotto had a very off flavour. We left hungry and dissatisfied. Only the atmosphere was good.
Georgia T — Google review
Its difficult traveling anywhere with the gluten sensitive, trust me I do it all the time, but for once we discovered a restaurant that had a menu that was almost half actually gluten free. Angie explained that the kitchen could prepare all the pasta and risotto dishes as well as the usual grilled meats to be gluten free. My wife had the delicious butternut squash and almond risotto which she described as the best dish she had eaten during our ten days of holiday here. I had the Aydın kebab which was also excellent. Of course being situated right in the Sivota marina only adds to the culinary experience. This is a different class of Greek restaurant and if you need gluten free options, a class in its own.
Julian H — Google review
Wonderfully delicious and affordable food! And their homemade bread is the best I’ve eaten here in Syvota(and Greece), so tasty especially when it comes a bit toasted😍 Would also recommend the Kebab, Moussaka and meatballs. It’s a beautiful restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and nice view of the harbour and hills with the cute little buildings. Best of all is the wonderful service, they see it all!
Emma H — Google review
A restaurant with a great location, nestled in the heart of Sivota, which naturally draws a large number of guests. The staff is generally fine but noticeably stressed, understandable given the restaurant’s popularity and high turnover. Despite this, service remains decent, but not outstanding. The food is good, with traditional dishes that deliver on flavor. Their wood-fired pizzas, stand out as a highlight. However, don’t expect anything extraordinary or inventive, they focuses on classic comfort rather than culinary surprises. Prices are very reasonable, which adds on, especially for those looking for quality. While the restaurant doesn’t offer a spectacular setting or exceptional service, it’s certainly worth a visit if you’re in Sivota. That said, once you’ve been, you might find that there are several other similar places in town offering a comparable experience. A solid choice, but not a must-return.

I ate here twice during my family vacation and will definitely be back next time I visit Syvota. All the food was delicious, the fish was very fresh and the souvlaki was juicy. The second time we ate here, the baklava ran out before we could get it, so they gave us a complimentary dessert of our choice. The staff was welcoming and the serving was fast!
Ramona M — Google review
Wonderful all around. The food is typically Greek, varied, and delicious. Can adapt to gluten- and lactose-free and vegetarian diets. The owner is helpful and personable. We ate lunch here every day for a week and enjoyed each meal.

We have a week in Syvota and so far have visited the Blue Coast twice, and we will be back again. The team are really helpful and friendly, adapting the menu to suit our finicky requests for variations with no problem. The second time we settled on making up a mezze meal which was delightful. Never hurried and always attended to without being ‘hassled’. Great value is an added bonus! Thanks to all at the Blue Coast!

Castelio is a remarkable restaurant known for its generous portions of delicious homemade Greek dishes. Despite lacking a sea view, the food quality and peaceful ambiance make up for it. The friendly and polite hostess, Effy, provides excellent guidance through the menu with a constant smile on her face. Although we couldn't finish our meal due to being full, Effy surprised us with a delightful cake treat as dessert.
Tasty, fresh and authentic food to an affordable price. Really nice and cozy outdoor seating in a corner at the end of the harbour. Friendly and genuine waiters. We were here twice because we liked it so much the first time. I would definitely recommend the beef with red sauce for the main course, and as starters the Greek salad and the tzatziki were great! Also nice that they give you a little dessert for free when you’re finished.

I dont know how this place has such high reviews. We waited nearly an hour for our food to arrive even though there were only 3 other tables with guests. I ordered chicken skewer and they brought me a pork one. We also ordered a specific salad with carrots, they brought us lettuce. Some of our dishes never even arrived and we had to ask them to remove from bill. I cannot recommend this to anyone

What a lovely gem! Had a wonderful meal, delicious food and looked after by an attentive waiter. Shame we were limited on time as had to head off to boat trip very shortly after eating, but lunch was definately our highlight of our trip. Even got a little bag doughnuts to take away with us, our daughter and us including demolished them in no time! Divine! Thank you!

I understand why this place is ranked nr 2 on TripAdvisor! In the corner of the harbor, maybe not looking particularly special up front I can say that this restaurant is well worth visiting (after trying a few others)! Portions were quite small, fried dishes had taste of burnt oil. The first restaurant who did not divide the bill by family for our group. Charged for bread put on the table. The restaurant was fairly empty and the waiter was always rushing and yelled at the cook.

DEI Beach is a hidden gem nestled in the stunning Syvota region of Greece, offering visitors an idyllic escape. While it may be smaller than some other beaches, its charm lies in the breathtaking views and serene atmosphere that envelops you as you stroll along its shores. The beach can only be reached by a short walk through water or via boat, adding an element of adventure to your visit.
Best beach!! There is a lot of space for umbrellas and the view is wonderful. You have free parking if you buy something from the bar. We came in the middle of September and it wasn’t crowded. I truly recommend!

The beach has great potential, nice shadow and light breeze under the olive trees make it very pleasant. We felt the staff operating the bar were slightly impolite.. Quite negative for me that they charge the shower. That should be a given when you are charged for sunbeds..
Alexandros K — Google review
Very nice place if you want to spend whole day outside of your apartment. A lot of space with shadows. The bar is not modern one but you have everything from food and drinks, prices are reasonable.
Gjorgji R — Google review
Probably the best beach in Syvota, feels like second home because my family stayed here multiple years in a row. If you want to avoid ignorant and obnoxious people this is place to stay. People who gave bad reviews of this beach usualy expect to get sunbeds for free or they act like they own the place. It's a private beach if you expect to lay down your towel and use the private beach for free or pay for 2 sunbeds and use 3 this is not place for you. Also if you dont know how to park and use 2 parking spaces instead of one you will have problem. Staff is great when you order some food or drinks coffee they will bring you to the beach.
Stefan E — Google review
The beach itself is nice, with plenty of shade, but the experience is completely ruined by the man charging for sunbeds. He is extremely rude and aggressive, only accepts cash, refuses cards, and steals. We will never come back to this beach again.
Marija P — Google review
Beautiful beach! Water was clear and warm. Small pebbles aling the beach and even sandy parts. During hot hours behind are olive trees for hide away with a nice bar. Fantastic sunset!
Nikica M — Google review
Nice beach, but the sunbed attendant was rude and unpleasant. I hope the owner reads this and explains to him that when 40% of the sunbeds are free, it's not in your interest to monitor families and question why they pay for two but use three sunbad... For sure we will not come again

We holiday in Sivota twice a year and Apenanti is our first port of call. Quick service from their friendly staff, great tasty food, generous portions and great value for money. We have never been disappointed.
Jeff M — Google review
I do not understand the bad reviews. We tried the 4.8 taverna in Sivota and we were very dissapointed. One night we came to this place and had the best gyros, best salad and best steak in Sivota. The portions are big, the steak is really for two persons and the taste unbelieveble. We ate here every day after and thank God we found this place, we were afraid that we will starve in Sivota because we did not like the food in other restaurants. The prices are excellent and the food well cooked.

Ok food, good stop by. Gyros was fine... I am not sure why they have any lower ratings. Service...very fast and efficient. There is big a parking behind seating area
Ljubica S — Google review
This was the worst souvlaki in my life and i have tried a lot , the meat was no meat at all just porkfat , the portion really small and the tzatziki was like bad jogurt .
Endri G — Google review
The best gyros in Sivota. I honestly think so. I don't understand why it has bad ratings.

Charlie's is a popular spot in Sivota, known for its contemporary ambiance and stunning views over the harbor. The generous food portions do not compromise on quality, offering a mix of delicious options like pancake stacks, pizza, seafood pasta, and chicken burgers. Visitors can also enjoy excellent cocktails and brunch with a beautiful balcony view. The friendly staff and pleasant environment make it stand out from other touristy cafes in the area.
We visited this restaurant twice during our vacation because the burgers were absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was wonderful – cozy, relaxed, and with stunning views. The service was excellent too. Highly recommended!
Noemi P — Google review
Cocktails tasted great! Food was a bit hit or miss. I had the chicken filet (€9,80), it was a bit on the dry side but nicely seasoned and the tzatziki was good. My girlfriend had the seafood pasta where they didn't clean the shrimps or the muscles, which was a shame because the dish itself tasted really good. And we got shots for the trouble :)
Jeremyvanzanten — Google review
The seafood pasta tasted good, however both the mussels and shrimps were not cleaned at all. So had to dig in and clean all the mussels which were full of beards. And the shrimps which still had the bowels. Shame.
Lady S — Google review
It has an amazing view, but thats it, period. The food is most likely stored in a fridge and microwaved. The drinks are mediocre. Although, we didn’t try the cocktails, they may be good. Doesn’t deserve the rating.
Itay K — Google review
Delicious omelettes and breakfast. Came back 12 hours later after a day of exploring and the same beautiful service from Angela who had been there from the morning ♡︎ The cocktails / whiskey sours are delicious. Recommend come any time of the day, views are sick, music good !
Tessa B — Google review
Food was ok, great view but there are a lot of bees flying around it is imposible to sit and eat. We went running from this place, left half of food and drinks

The bar-man and service stuff were incredible .The whisky shower (cocktail) was the best cocktail I have ever tasted in my whole life.I am VERY impressed .I would recommend Charlie's with no hesitation to someone that wants a GREAT cocktail experience and the feeling of what Greek hospitality really means.

Italian restaurant
Parasole Italian Restaurant offers consistently excellent and flavorful cuisine. It is always bustling in July, indicating the use of fresh ingredients. They offer a variety of dishes including tortellini, pasta with anchovies and garlic, grilled vegetable salad, beer, and Coca Cola. However, some customers felt that the pasta could have had a stronger anchovy flavor. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive but prices were slightly higher than expected. Overall rating is 4.
We were in Sivota for four days and ate three times in this restaurant. As a starter, we've had the Parasole Salad, which is made with grilled vegetables and a very special cream cheese on top, created by Klevdis. This was really delicious and very tasty. Then we ordered a huge and crunchy Pizza which was also amazing. We sat outside directly at the harbour and enjoyed the sunset. The whole team is very kindly and took our order very quickly. Efharisto poli😀

Went here 2 times. My bf had the 4 cheese pizza, he loved it but it does have a very unique/ strong taste. I had creamy tortellini with bacon and parmasan, genuinely 10/10. We also shared a pepperoni pizza which was sooo good. Beautiful view if you come here late season when the yachts dont take up the whole harbor😭

Amazing experience! Amazing view, fast and friendly service, 2 pizzas enough for 2 adults and 3 kids. Also generous greek salad portion, enough for 2 as well. Couldn't be happier!

Great experience overall! Excellent service, delicious pizza, and the green pepper souvlaki was an absolute winner — I loved it. Prices are a bit higher compared to other places around, but worth it for the quality.
Viviana S — Google review
Great Italian restaurant, with friendly efficient service and good variety on the menu. The pizzas were huge, but thin and tasty; whilst the burrata salad also tasted fresh and full of flavour. Wine was also enjoyable, would recommend.

If you visit Sivota you must visit this restaurant. Extremely delicious food, friendly staff, great view from the restaurant. I recommend it. The experience was great, I have never eaten more delicious pasta and pizza. Thank you! The next summer when I come back to Greece I’ll come again! ❤️

The best pizza we tried in the area. Quite busy restaurant and you need to wait to sit and be served!! The pizza worths the waiting! Excellent 👌!! But the service is not the best due to the big number of customers.

Pizza restaurant
Mamma Mia is a highly recommended Italian restaurant that provides excellent and fast service. Their Greek salad is fresh and tasty, while their pizzas are even better. The experience at Mamma Mia is amazing, especially if you have a craving for great quality Italian food. They are known for accommodating unusual requests, such as adding garlic and chillies, which is much appreciated by customers. The pizza dough is delicious and the restaurant stands out from touristic junk food places in Syvota.
Wonderful experience. The cats walking around was adorable. The pizza was amazing. The crust had a nice crunch to it, the cheese was tasty and cheesy, just like it should be. Really Italian pizza. Staff was kind and nice to us. Family of 5, my sisters, me and 2 adults. Affordable and good quality🙌😆

For lovers of Italian cuisine, the right choice of restaurant. A place to which we have returned several times and will certainly come again during our next stay in Sivota. Friendly staff, excellent pizzas, pastas, salads and a pleasant atmosphere. Any recommendation.

Excellent and very fast service, Greek salad was fresh and tasty, pizzas were even better! All in all, amazing experience and highly recommended if you are in the area and craving for some great quality Italian food. P.S. thanks for welcoming my wife's unusual request about garlic and chillies 😎 Much appreciated!

The owner is kind and accommodating. Prices are ok. The pizza has a perfect crust, is baked in the oven and is very tasty. The only complaint is that they could have a larger range of sizes such as a family pizza rather than a small one person take out pizza.

Awesome food experience! Everything was great, the staff really friendly. Definetly must try this place👏💫💫
