Kathisma Beach is a popular destination on the island of Lefkada, known for its stunning white sand and clear turquoise waters. It's a cosmopolitan beach with plenty of amenities, including beach bars and restaurants. Visitors can enjoy activities like parasailing and swimming in the refreshing sea. The beach is surrounded by lush vegetation, adding to its natural beauty.
Beautiful turquoise water, very atmospheric with small rocks. Tourist boats do not stop here, which is a positive. If you want, you can rent a sunbed. There are bars, showers, and for small children there is a pool next to the bar. Of course, you have to see the famous beaches once, but Kathisma is a great beach for a day at the beach.
Katalin G — Google review
A very nice beach. The water was very nice and warm. Parking was free on the side of the road and there was plenty of space for public or private beach. It is worth a visit here.
Krenar G — Google review
Incredible beach with all shades of blue color water of the sea. Waves are large and increasing with each hour until evening. There are restaurants, wc, parking and shower , umbrella and beds. We took parking under cower with two beds and umbrella 15 euro all. On the beach there is savior. On the sea must be careful, beach It starts with sand - finely ground pebbles, and then large stones in the water. You must go to the water without everything- sunglasses, shoes , hat, because everything will change and you won't notice . On this beach you do not need swimming mask . Magnificent picture all around there. The horizon is incredibleand so endless.

A Slice of Heaven on Earth A place that feels like it’s straight out of heaven, where the crystal-clear, clean water refreshes your senses, and the beach welcomes you with a cozy beach bar and a few charming restaurants. The atmosphere is relaxed, full of good vibes and elegance. It’s the kind of experience you simply can’t miss if you’re looking for an unforgettable escape.
Raluca — Google review
Beautiful beach, but very crowded in the season. There is almost always wind and waves, so you can forget about the heat. This beach is not for non-swimmers and small children. It is recommended to try paragliding.
Nikola J — Google review
Most easiest access to the beach with all comforts when you choose between Egremni, Porto Katsiki and Katishma. Also includes beach clubs, restaurants and different activities 😊
Kamelia A — Google review
Kathisma is one of the most beautiful beaches on Lefkada and definitely worth visiting. The beach is long and wide, with plenty of space to find a good spot. Sunbeds are around 20€ for the ordinary ones, or 25€ for the wooden set with parking included, which is very convenient since parking can get busy in high season. The beach itself has small smooth pebbles instead of sand, which makes the water crystal clear. After just a few steps it gets deeper, so be careful if you’re not a strong swimmer. The waves are usually big and fun, great for people who enjoy a bit of adventure in the sea. There are also water sports available for those looking for more activities. Restaurants and bars are located right by the beach, offering food and drinks throughout the day. Overall, it’s a lively beach with good facilities, beautiful scenery, and a bit of everything – relaxation, fun, and comfort.
Andrijana A — Google review
Sky blue waters, The water was murky and the mask didn't work. The beach was fine sand and for some like me it is not comfortable. You can bring your own umbrella or you can pay sunbeds. There was a lot of free parking but also private parking 5€/day. You need to get up early 9-9.30am to be at the place if you are looking for free :) The locals told me that you have to be carefoul when its windy and there are bid waves bcs some people has lost their lives! Meanwhile you can do paragliding there. Bars and restaurants was close by.

Beach
Outdoor Activities
Mylos beach in Lefkada is a magnificent sandy beach located near Agios Nikitas. Accessible only by boat from Agios Nikitas or via a challenging hike over the rocky hill, this secluded beach offers a tranquil escape for visitors. The trek to Mylos may be demanding, taking around 30 minutes to navigate, but the stunning natural beauty and serene atmosphere make it well worth the effort. It's recommended to plan for some serious recreation when visiting this hidden gem.
The path to the beach is quite demanding – make sure to wear sturdy shoes. It's about a 1 km walk through the forest on a rough and uneven trail. Once you reach the beach, don't expect any facilities – there's absolutely nothing there. The sea is warm, and the sun is scorching with no shade at all. A sun umbrella is a must if you plan to stay for a while.
Jura B — Google review
Beautiful beach. Walking path is about 20min. There are sunbeds and umbrellas but also a lot of free space to relax. Aqua shoes are recommended to enter the water. No WC, only a small pavilion for drinks, ice cream and some snacks.
Диана Ж — Google review
An incredibly beautiful beach — just as stunning as the famous Porto Katsiki. I highly recommend visiting it! The beach is never too crowded, and there’s also a section with sunbeds and umbrellas for rent. At the far end, you’ll find a nudist area. Parking is free, but you need to arrive by around 10 a.m. to find a spot. From there, it’s a 20–30 minute walk through a mountain forest with both uphills and downhills. If the sea is calm and there are no big waves, you can also reach the parking area by boat (water taxi).
Liliya — Google review
The sunset from this beach is Worth the 20 minutes hike across the steep hill from Agios Nikitas and the trip back in the twilight. There were waves that afternoon but it was a nice change from the east coast calm waters.
Gelu T — Google review
The beach is really beautiful, water is crystal blue. There were some waves that have not seemed too big, however water taxi was not available that day..so better to maybe ask in the city. Going to beach through woods is doable, better with sneakers. There are some parts that are steep but with few rest stops it's not a problem. There is not toilet, restroom. Snack bar is above the beach.
Jovana A — Google review
Beautiful sandy beach ⛱️🏖️ 😍❤️ Perfect view. Perfect water: beautiful, turqouise and clear, little to no waves, sand and little pebbles in the water. You don't need water shoes because the bottom of the sea is smooth and the little bebbles are friendly with the feet. To reach the beach there are 2 options: Option no. 1: This option is about leaving Agios Nikitas by foot and going though the woods directly on the beach. For this option you need to walk and climb on a pathway through the woody hills and go down on some rocky stairs towards the beach so I recommend you to wear sport shoes (or water shoes) with thicker soles instead of slippers/flip flops. I super recommend this option because it's so so so worth the effort. Take care of mosquitos after sunset. The view is spectacular and a little effort compensates for a lazy sunny beach day ☀️ 😎 Option no. 2: You can also take a water taxi from Agios Nikitas if you want the easy way. After 4 pm there is a long queue of people waiting for the water taxi to go back to Agios Nikitas. When the last water taxi arrives they will wisle, this means there will be no other water taxi after it so you better hurry up to jump on the boat for the last ride. There is a beach bar with frappes and drinks. There is also an area of umbrellas and beach beds with fast food menu. From time to time some guys walk through the beach with water, juices, soda, beers or donuts and pastries. Beautiful 😍❤️ is the best word to describe this beach 🏖️⛱️
Alina A — Google review
Amazing beach with big waves. Given it’s remote location, sunbeds cost 2 beds 1 umbrella 40 euros. So either bring your own or be prepared. The road to the beach is difficult terrain so be prepared with bad terrain shoes.
Olasz L — Google review
Beautiful (pebbly) beach; great coffee; 20-min, strenuous (due surface, elevation and the heat) walk to get to* but well worth the effort. *Or a nice 5€, 5-min boat ride, though often the queue for that takes as long as the walk.

Milos Hidden Beach

4.7
(967)
Milos Hidden Beach is a secluded gem located on the northwest coast of the island. Accessing this stunning beach can be quite challenging, as visitors must navigate a rocky trail from the cliff top or arrive via water taxi. The beach features coarse sandy shores and shingles, making it an ideal spot for sunbathing. While access may be difficult, the privacy and beauty of Milos Hidden Beach make it worth the effort.
Hike was hot, but not very long. 6/10 difficulty. Beach was great. They had a guy walking around selling donuts- which were delicious. The sand it small rocks so it brushes off easily. Water taxi ($5 euro per person) will take you back around the cliff so you don’t have to hike back up the mountain. Bring an umbrella!
Colleen — Google review
Take great care as the path is very stoney some parts missing not an easy walk back and wooden steps that are defying gravity. There are no sun beds parasols are facilities you need to hump it all with you. But it is stunning.
Elaine T — Google review
The beach is nice and pretty intimate because only access is on the weather…only few people get there with paddle boards… The other way to get there on foot is only if you have some climbing skills because the last part is difficult and don’t even think to get there with flip flops
Ionutz B — Google review
The beach is very nice with sand and clear water. Unfortunately there are no sunbeds and also at least two years ago you couldn't find a toilet. There is a small cabin from where you can buy some burgers and cold drinks. Also beer at the dose. Do not make the same mistake like us. We arrive at the beach crossing the mountain, directly form the village Agios Nikitas, but is is a little bit difficult, also if you have some luggage. On the Agios Nikitas beach, you can find boats and they can get you directly to the beach. Two years ago it was five euro per person. You can take the boat also when your way back. I recommend this place
Jianu T — Google review
Great viewpoint and hidden beach, you need some mountain skills to get up there and then down the trail, like 7/10 difficulty level, also, you need some real shoes for this trail… or, you can just swin your way around it…
Cosmin R — Google review
It sure is a hidden gem. You walk down the streetbwith restaurants towards the beach, make a left and go up hill. The walk does not require walking shoes, but be aware where you walk. After about 15min the view is stunning, white beach, clear blue water. The beach has small pebbles mixed with sand. Sun beds and umbrella are for rent, its 20€ in high season.Water shoes are nice for the feet. Had a lovely day!
Sylke E — Google review
You need to climb the hill, like to make a small hiking but it is worth of it. The view is stunning and the beach and water itself is awesome. You need to grab with you a lot of water, food and umbrella as there are no shops to buy anything.
Keti C — Google review
Beautiful beach. Breathtaking view. Be prepared for a 25 min hike from Aygios Nikitas. Probably a good idea to wear sneakers, I went in beach sandals - would not recommend.

Paralia Agios Nikitas is a small pebbly beach located in the charming fishing village of Agios Nikitas. It's a popular choice for families due to its clear waters and the abundance of cafes and tavernas nearby. The beach offers easy access by car, but visitors are also encouraged to explore the nearby Ammoudoula beach, which can only be reached by swimming or boat and features the Fokotrypa cave.
Paralia Agios Nikitas is the main beach of the village. While it’s not very large, it has a huge advantage—it’s free and offers natural shade from the cliffs in the afternoon. This is a true lifesaver on hot summer days! We visited in August when temperatures reached up to 40°C during the day, and the shade was a real relief—we didn’t even need umbrellas. The beach has everything you might need, including cafés, a charming street with tavernas, and small shops.

Sheltered small beach, beautifully clear water. Shingle / sand. Beach shoes not necessary but help. Some lovely tavernas close by on the beach front

Visited early September 10th 2025. Water was calm as the beach relaxing. Walked a bit past the rocks and got a spot basically just for myself.
Juliana L — Google review
stunning beach, with clean and pleasant water. it gets easily crowded, so better to visit early morning or evening after 6 pm. there are many good taverns nearby. also, you can catch water taxi to Milos beach (4€ one way).
Anna U — Google review
Agios Nikitas can get pretty crowded, especially in peak season, but it’s still one of the best spots on Lefkada. The beach is stunning, with clear water and plenty of places to grab a bite. Despite the crowds, it still keeps that authentic village charm, with narrow streets, traditional houses, and friendly tavernas. It’s a lively spot, full of energy, perfect for enjoying the island’s atmosphere.
Virginia Z — Google review
The beach is really beautiful with crystal clear water, BUT it's really small and gets really crowded. We went on the beach at 9:30 and it was fine, but decided to leave at 11:00 as there were way too many people who literally put their towels right next to yours.
Stefan B — Google review
It was a great place to visit. It does get very busy on the beach. I reccommend going to Milos beach it is not as busy and the water is crystal clear. Do some research before you go there are no toilet amenities there.

Pefkoulia Beach Bus Stop is a hidden gem located on the west coast of Lefkas, just a 20-minute drive from Lefkada town. This picturesque pebble beach offers plenty of space to relax and unwind. Outdoor Activities
Pefkoulia Beach, located on the northwest coast of Lefkada, is a beloved destination known for its long stretch of golden sand and crystal-clear aqua waters. Nestled against a picturesque hillside, this beach offers serene and scenic landscapes with rocks shaping the coastline. The area boasts various dining options including the Deck restaurant, which features a swimming pool ideal for families with children.
This is considered one of the most wild nice beaches in Lefkada. Searched by a lot of people who prefer raw beaches and by nudists and naturists. Its nice that it has some free parking on the street and even a restaurant with pool, showers, sunbeds and toilet/restroom. You come down through the restaurant and directly on the beach. I would recommend bringing an umbrella and towels and make your own spot. Its crowded and full of kids at the beginning but on the right side it gets more wild, and after the tents and campers it gets more with nudist people. Towards the right end (near the cliffs) it becomes more gay friendly (mostly couples of men). Very nice place to take a lof of pictures. Expensive food at the “Deck” restaurant. One plate gyros 15 euro, one beer 4euro, but being the only retail place there I guess its worth it.
Chefi F — Google review
During high season it is as crowded as the rest of the island, but at other times or early in the morning you can enjoy this beautiful beach. Recommended to visit.
Equip G — Google review
Most underrated beach on Lefkada. Maybe because of sea grass on the beach. Walk over the little hill to the right of the Deck beach pub, and more you walk, you’ll get to the better place.
Dušan P — Google review
Maybe the most underrated beach at Lefkada island. Parking is available and is free. You have to take a bit of a walk, but it is still much easier to approach than Egremni beach. Furthermore, even when the waves are big, it's still safer than other beaches, because there's no such big stones. You should have in mind that the right part of the beach is mostly visited by naturists, so if you don't mind - enjoy!
Una Č — Google review
This is the wilder part of Pefkoulia beach - you get down the stairs in front of the Deck bar, turn right and walk until you find the best sport for yourself depending on your personal needs in regards to noise level, proximity to other people and desire to be close (or maybe not!) to amenities like toilets, showers and food. Parking gets tricky when the nearby free parking lot becomes full, so the only option is parking on the main road.
Raya K — Google review
beautiful beach! plenty parking available right next door. We were there towards the end of the season and had absolutely no trouble parking. The beach is a fine pebble beach. comfortable enough to lay on but you can rent sun beds too.

Restaurant
Sapfo in Agios Nikitas, Lefkas is a highly recommended seafood restaurant with a great beachfront location and an exceptional menu. The dishes are well-balanced and stand out from other restaurants in the area. The fresh fish is of top quality, and the attentive service adds to the overall dining experience. Visitors can enjoy a magical atmosphere during dusk while savoring delicious meals such as mussels, shrimp saganachi, tuna, grilled octopus, and Sapfo salad.
Memorable flavors... Dining at Sapfo was an unexpected highlight of our trip. Every dish stood out through its balance, flavor and freshness. A truly satisfying culinary experience.

Best food we had in Greece. One of the best fishes we had all over the world. Service friendly. Prices higher but reasonable. Ouzo gele, lobster roe with roasted bread, how they serve the grilled fish … just perfect
J.P H — Google review
The best restaurant on the island. We went here several times and loved the food. They add some fresh twist to the Greek cuisine and it’s fabulous. The go to dish is the seafood carbonara, simply amazing with a bit of lemongrass and a super creamy sauce. Of course the seaview is also amazing. Five stars
Inga R — Google review
The food was good, albeit the menu is quite limited, however the service not at par with what we have seen locally in the tavernas on other islands in less touristic places. The beach was very busy but the sea there was glorious.
C C — Google review
We’ve had the chance to dine at Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, and Sapfo absolutely deserves to be in that league. This was easily the best seafood in Greece (and my husband travelled Greece for the last 20 years). The sashimi could rival top places in Japan and the octopus, carpaccio, and calamari were perfectly prepared - it was just delicious and full of flavor. Not to forget the beautiful presentation. Don’t miss the Taramas - first I was hesitant to chose it but we did take it after the recommendation of the waiter - and what should I say: it was exceptional. The service was outstanding and the staff were not only friendly, but truly knowledgeable and passionate about the food. Their recommendations were spot on and made the whole experience even more special. Yes, prices are higher than a typical taverna, but you’re paying for top-level quality, flavor, and experience! Absolutely worth it—we’ll definitely return!

Unbelievable Seafood…. I have been in greece for more than 20 years and never had such a fantastic seafood dinner. The Sashimi can compete with best of Japan and also the Octopus, the Carpacio and the calamari have been fantastic….do not forget the Tamaras ….. Also the service was so good and nice with super recommendation…. They know what they are talking about…. For me worth a Michelin Star ….

We discovered a fantastic vegan meal at T' Agnantio, a tavern with an impressive beach view. My wife ordered vegan meatballs while I opted for vegan gyros. The gyros pleasantly surprised me as it consisted of three vegan sausages, crispy potatoes, pita bread, onions, tomatoes, and topped with vegan mayo. Both dishes were delightful!
This place is incredible. If you love real Greek food, you have to try it. We had to wait a little to get a table, but it was 100% worth it. The fresh fish was amazing — so simple and full of flavor, you could tell it was super fresh. The cheese and cod croquettes were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had — crispy on the outside, soft and creamy inside. And the kleftico… wow. So tender it just fell apart, packed with flavor. Total comfort food. The waiter was super friendly and polite, and made us feel really welcome. Highly recommend!

In my opinion it’s the Best taverne in Agios Nikitas, we ate all kind of dishes and all were very delicious, the cook knows his kitchen well. They have about 10 tables so it’s small compared to other restaurants in the neighbourhood, and respectfully it’s hard to get a table as no reservations possible. The server is very polite! View of the sea is beautiful!
Ionel S — Google review
Night and day VS other Greek teverna food. Like home cooked and with love. Not the usual tourist packages crap you get. Long wait (no reservations) but it was honestly worth the 1 hour wait. The view leaves nothing to complain about either.

Very nice restaurant with an amazing view. The service is good and attentive. The food is also very good but not fully 5 stars. I had the chicken souvlaki which was a bit dry. The Greek salad and tzatziki was good. I can recommend the place for two persons, they have some very nice tables with bay view.

Lovely restaurant run by a family! One of the best in Agios Nikitas. Great food and service! Just keep in mind that they don t make reservations and you need to wait a lot, more than half an hour unless you go before 6. I definitely recommend the giaourtlou kebab dish and the Tigania pork.

This has been a uniquely horrible experience. The waitress got everything wrong, even after clarifying each item in Greek on the menu. Hoping for a better outcome we asked the boss for souvlaki. When It came it was literally raw inside. In 43 years of visiting Greece, I have had consistently excellent food and service. This stands out as the exception. I do not recommend.

I really recommend this place. The food is good, i really like the pita gyros and fruit salad. Good prices, lots of tables. It has free parking, beautiful view to the beach. The staff serving is nice. I don't understand the negative comments, i think maybe they mistake this with Libre beach bar that is nearby.

I ordered an octopus for 20 euros. I was expecting the usual large portions that two people eat from, present in all the taverns I have eaten at so far, but I only received a tip of the tentacle which looked like leftovers.

The place is very nice. The bathroom and showers are clean and the food is amazing. The staff was very friendly; they made the experience memorable! ☺️

Negative experience Most of the reviews online are unfortunately true. The staff behaved as if they didn’t want us there. There were no other guests, yet they still didn’t really pay attention to us. The table was full of dirty dishes after we had finished half of our meal – the plates were clearly empty, and we asked for them to be taken away, but no one came. In the end, we had to place them on the concrete floor, under the railing, next to our table. We ordered a fruit platter, and the fruit was at least three days old. At the bottom, where all the fruit juices had mixed together – peach, cantaloupe, watermelon, plum, and grapes – it had already started to ferment. If you don’t have to, I wouldn’t recommend eating the fruit here. Salt, spoon, knife, and fork were brought out separately, one by one. We had to ask each time. The service was far from smooth.

Verry bad service this is why it is always empty. With two occupied tables 2 mistakes with the order were made Ipdate: now 6 years laterin 2025 reviews overall are very pollarized...0-1 or 5...it.looks like the staff is not motivated and/or managed well. It is not the common case in greece where some places serve locals with care or only tourists for high price. I hope managers or owners read this and take actions to build consistent service and customer experience. High rating here will attract more customers than the capacity and wit proper pricing this will lead to higher revenues with same work. On main beach with more than 3000 average visits a day (5000-7000 peak in high season and 3 restaurants, 3 take away food things, this is rediculuos not to offer friendly, fast, proper and effective service to get the money that are just passing by.

We are surprised by the bad reviews, we have had an extremely positive experience. While vacationing on the beach, we came here for lunch and the service was friendly and fast. We ordered traditional dishes and everything was very tasty, made from quality products.

Largest portion in all of Greek islands. Exceptional quality with loads of free complimentary stuff from chef. This place never deserves anything less than 5 stars.

We ordered pork souvlaki with Greek salad. The salad was delicious but the gyros had no onions and tomatoes as it should. Service was outrageous as we asked for the bill four times in a row. They had only two waiters to serve 20 tables. Therefore, no tips!

Super recommend for a tasty greek meal. Very friendly staff that is providing info for all dishes. A nice suprise was the welcome appetizer, different for adults and kids, and also the end desert.

Really nice place! The staff was polite and quick, and the overall service was great. We had the grilled octopus—it was excellent, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. To be completely honest, the portion sizes were a bit on the smaller side, but the overall experience was still very enjoyable. Definitely worth a 5-star rating!

this one definitely conquered me. I think Dimo, the host, is an exceptional person! He has good recommendations and manages to combine the tradition with the sweet/hot tastes in a way which makes greek cuisine special! 4 cheese saganki, best choice! Sweet, spiced, hot and fresh from the oven! Fresh mussels like those in farms, in white wine as a soup! Zucchini meatballs at their best, flavored, soft, light and creamy! Spicy sweet chicken wings made me reconsider my almost vegetarian diet! On a 3rd visit at Dimo’s Asperous we tried a mix fish plate for two and it was very fresh. In conclusion, this man deserves my appreciation!
