Sainsbury's stands out as one of the UK's leading supermarket chains, offering a diverse range of products that cater to all your shopping needs—from groceries and clothing to homewares and electrical items. If you find yourself traveling along the A1, their location near Melton Mowbray makes it an ideal pit stop for fuel or a quick restroom break. The store is designed with accessibility in mind, featuring step-free access; however, it's worth noting that some facilities may be temporarily unavailable.
Needed to charge my electric car when travelling south on A1. Excellent fast charging facilities, clearly marked. Eight charging points available. No cafe but Costa coffee machine in store.

Was passing through, stopped of for a meal deal, looks like a lovely big clean store. Toilet where well stocked up with toilet roll in each cubicle (🤣 about 8 rolls in each) plenty of parking, but bit of a maze to get in and out of the car park so just take your time navigating it, people that are use to it can be a bit pushy so just ignore them and be careful, there's a petrol station just past the store.
Amanda C — Google review
First time trying GDK today and even though there was an issue using the ordering and payment screen Kyle was very helpful. Without his help it would have probably have been my last experience but his fantastic service at a busy time of day changed my mind. I hope he gets some company recognition for his hard work and patience
Siobhan T — Google review
I was at Sainsbury’s looking for a specific snack and asked a staff member, Sheryl, for help. She couldn’t find it and even checked other stores from her device, but they were all too far. I thanked her and left, but as I was walking through the parking lot, she ran after me to let me know she remembered a local shop that might have it. That extra effort and kindness really stood out - shout out to Sheryl!
Daniel Q — Google review
Poorly laid out car park and strange store entrance that means you can collide head on with shoppers who are leaving. Good overall choice of products and don’t forget Argos upstairs! Some prices are way off compared to Tesco, despite various price match stickers. I always come here for the scotch bonnet chillies as nobody else seems to sell them. The scan and shop thing is also not bad but today I had to have an audit scan, then a product age check as I’d got some matches and then not 20 seconds later another verify as the staff had to check my money off coupon. It’s probably have been quicker to just use a real human till!! Nice staff :)
Paul M — Google review
I’ve been shopping here since it first opened. In recents months the choice, variety, staffing and maintenance has been scaled back, empty shelves staff reduced and the few that remain are run ragged, scan and shop checkouts closed, the disabled m toilet closed for months and the gents toilet always stinks (plumbing issue) and the broken man hole cover in the entrance road has taken months to fix. Such a shame
Duncan H — Google review
The staff unfortunately have no manners whatsoever, I understand retail is a thankless job and someone has to do it but not even a thank you when moving out the way to let them through. Also went in last week to display a poster raising money for a charity, went in a week later the colleague on Customer Services didn't know where it was and was advised to speak to manager, I think I will post in other stores as tesco at St Neots displayed it straight away. It seems Sainsburys need to rethink their customer service and management need to step out of their office and see what's happening on the shop floor
Nathan S — Google review
Yet again self checkout with not enough staff. Queue for ages. Get some staff or open manned checkouts! Hello Tesco!

Lots of space to move around easily. Great choice of items. Lovely staff. The only problem the cashiers are by the open doors, which they are not allowed to close so in the winter, they are freezing and potentially become ill with. Other than that 10/10
Heather B — Google review
Poundland is great if you want to get a little treat or buy craft last minute but one thing they lack on is the choice of of food. Yes they have chocolate and sweets but what happened to the normal groceries like apples or bread?
Ben — Google review
Great shop with great staff. My only complaint is it's no longer pound land as per all poundlands. You can't blame brexit for price hikes when goods are made in the UK. Still a great shop but the poundland group needs to update.

Then week later sent a letter saying the fines increased, despite the fact Id paid it in full. No phone number to complain only automated payment number. I won’t be shopping at Aldi again

I shopped today from the Aldi Biggleswade shop and one of the staff behaved so rudely when I asked for help and treated me like thieves only because I am not British citizen. I can say without any doubt that she is completely racist.very bad experience
Aneesha A — Google review
On Thursday morning I did a bit of shopping and whilst queuing a member of staff said she would open till 3 for a lady with a trolley, a lady with flowers went in front and I began to move over only to be stopped by the rude staff member saying it was for the lady with the trolley, I went back to my original position and waited while a customer did £138 shop, I had £18 of shopping. The lady in front of me apologised for the long wait I had while she packed her bags, I could've easily gone in front had it not been for such a rude member of staff.
Margaret C — Google review
This is not reflecting Aldi ad a brand, but this particular shop. I'm not sure if it's to do with the capacity, but there's nothing more frustrating as having to queue at one till (as all others and self-service are closed) on your way back after a long day at work. Please keep the self-service open in the afternoon when commuters pop in for a loaf of bread, rather then make everyone queue for ages. Also, please, please, please discontinue your social chats on your headsets whilst serving customers. It is pretty disrespectful when you stand on front of the till and the cashier starts laughing (happens all the time and I'm not sure if it's me, another customer or something that the staff stacking shelves said).

Jordans Mill, located in Biggleswade, is a local heritage site that actively supports the international real bread campaign. During Real Bread Week, they are hosting a Best Home Loaf competition on Facebook to promote additive-free breadmaking. The historic flour mill features a museum, shop, and cafe with a great selection of food and breakfast served until 11 am.
As a distant relative of the Jordan family (great grand mother Marion Dorothy Jordan) this was the first time I had the chance to visit Holme Mill. We arrived early and booked a tour which left us enough time to sit in the sun next the millpond and have some breakfast, which was delicious. The tour was really informative and allowed me to see pictures and learn more about my ancestors as well as the incredible feat of engineering that the mill is. The tour guide was really knowledgable and all the staff from the cafe to the shop were lovely friendly people.

We dined in the cafe and walked around the well laid out gardens. 4 of us took the guided 1 hour tour which was led by Ross and Richard. There was so much information of which we knew little but Ross and Richard's knowledge was superb. Definitely recommend the tour.

Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you won’t be disappointed. From a traditional full English breakfast to pancakes or smashed avocado on toast, Jordan’s Mill is definitely worth the drive. Staff are incredible, with a massive shout out to Sharon. An absolute powerhouse who was amazing. Friendly, attentive and I honestly thought she had a twin because she was everywhere! Touring the gardens after breakfast or lunch, is a treat for the senses, and walks off a bit of the amazing food.

The food here never disappoints - the flavors are always fresh and unique, and they use only quality ingredients in their meals. Amazing place for authentic Italian food. The prices are amazing for what you get. Sides and all came out. We had a table of 5, and the service was brilliant. The food was lovely, and the atmosphere felt fantastic, with it being a little place but cosy. It gave it that authentic Italian feel, as if in Venice. Of course, without the weather. 😂

We spent a wanderful evening meal with the kids. Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous! Atmosphere was good, and the food was lovely in general, however, some of the pizzas we ordered toppings were rather thin. Nestled in the heart of the city, Jade Garden is a delightful haven for lovers of Chinese, Cantonese, and Hong Kong cuisine. While some may find the ambiance to be average, it’s hard to overlook the culinary excellence that shines through with every dish. Diners rave about the perfectly cooked meals served in generous portions—especially those famous chicken balls that have garnered quite a fanbase!
I often work in Biggleswade so decided to grab a Chinese on my way home. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the owner was very welcoming and courteous. A slight wait for the food as he said it was busy. however when we received the takeaway he gave me a free beer which was much appreciated. The only issue was the spring roll....., it had sausage meat in it. I have never encountered this before...
SM — Google review
My first time there, and probably my last. I came in and there was a woman at the till complaining that her lemon chicken tasted tough, but I wanted lemon chicken, and figured that after someone complained about it they wouldn't let it happen again... But guess what... They did. Chicken tasted like it had been reheated in the microwave, the crispy batter was soft and mushy, and the chicken was tough on the outside and dry in the middle, the crispy Wan Ton was soft and in no way crispy, the char siu pork was smothered in a sauce that wasn't mentioned on the menu (when I eat it in China there is no sauce, it's dry, ft inside and crispy outside - char siu should be double cooked, this was just wrong, and the Singapore noodle was like mush. And they charged me extra for the prawn crackers too! She also "forgot" to give me my change when I paid. Overall, a rather crappy experience that cost me nearly £30.... 🤦🏻‍♂️ Most of which has ended up in the bin.

Absolutely fantastic! Jade Garden in Biggleswade has become my go-to for Chinese takeout. The food is consistently delicious, always fresh, and packed full of flavor. Their menu offers a wide variety of dishes, and I've yet to find one I don't enjoy. The portions are generous, making it a great value for the price. The staff is very friendly and efficient, and my orders are always ready quickly. If you're looking for a reliable and tasty Chinese takeout option in Biggleswade, I highly recommend Jade Garden!

We had a gathering of 19 friends on new years eve of 2015 at Jade Garden and it was bloody BRILLIANT! Every few minutes we'd see a takeaway order go out the door, yet they still had the skills to get our meal out to us as well as the other side of the restaurant which was fully booked. So managing a full restaurant and many, many takeaway orders on new years eve was VERY impressive! - The food was delicious! - It wasn't cold when brought out to us. - The portion sizes were great! - The staff were very polite and didn't rush. - The price was great! VERY Highly recommended! :D --- 3 years later and we're still eating from Jade Garden! Delicious! (hence the picture!).

Ordered 2 pizza’s off the app. My pizza is missing a segment of pizza from it. It looks like whoever has cut it has taken abit for themselves and pushed the pizza back together. Rang up to ask what is going on. Person on the phone was extremely rude and said he’ll send out another pizza. I’m not going to receive another pizza from them as I don’t even trust what they would do to it now I’ve complained, especially considering someone has clearly help themselves to it already. Absolutely furious

Don’t bother!!!! We waited for well over an hour for a pizza that would have been better if I had picked it up from the frozen isle in Tesco. It was stone cold on delivery, chilli’s were burnt and I could count on one hand how much ground beef was on this! Appalling considering how much they charge for these!

TERRIBLE FOOD - AWFUL SERVICE - RUDE PEOPLE!!! - Do not waste your money ordering from this place. The food took over an hour to turn up and when it did it was not warm. The Meaty One pizza was terrible and had hardly any meat on it!!! - Just look at the pictures! And the other vegetarian pizza was awful too - and a pathetic amount of topping too - look at the pictures and you can see the lack of filling - with a crust that is nearly 2 inches wide! When I called the man just kept saying “I will give you credit for 1 pizza” - I argued this and eventually he agreed for 2 credits - but when I called 2 days later to try to get some decent pizzas made they just argued and said they could only give 1 credit - I disputed and they promised the manager/owner would call me the next day but he didn’t. The other telling fact about this place is the pathetic FAKE REVIEWS that appear after a bad review has been written - it is laughable!!! 4 reviews with the same name, Revanth, appearing in them - slightly suspicious!!! Ha ha ha!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!
Chris T — Google review
The food was absolutely disgusting! Ordered a double pepperoni with special garlic sauce, however the pizza was very chewy and the garlic butter tasted very weird. I ordered the regular garlic butter but was given a vegan one instead. Hull’s Papa John’s is so much better compared to this abomination!
Alan G — Google review
An absolute disgrace! We ordered two pizzas and a portion of garlic bread sticks. The garlic bread sticks were rock hard - concrete bollards would probably be easier to chew! They were also charred. I attempted to take one bite and it actually loosened my crown on my front tooth which has been in place since 2008! I immediately rung to discuss this and I was met with hostility and rudeness. Apparently their bread sticks and pizzas are all cooked at the same temperature so "It's impossible to be overcooked" No apology, no politeness, just "not my fault" Well it IS your fault. I've just moved here and that was the first the first and last time that I shall ever be ordering from them. We didn't have this problem in Hull!

Absolutely shocking service. Placed an order for delivery which included a vegan pizza and a non-dairy ice cream. The regular ice cream turned up. It’s for someone with a dairy allergy so it was totally unusable. We rang as soon as it was delivered to ask for a refund or replacement, thinking it’s an easy mistake to make and would be a quick solution. Instead the shop was so rude and dismissive, they talked over us, refused a refund or replacement. They offered to comp us a free ice cream next time but after the way they had spoken to us we didn’t want to order again. We were left with no resolution and they couldn’t care less. Our previous orders took a very very long time to arrive, over 1.5 hours (and we had to ring up to chase delivery) but now with them so rude about an allergy we won’t be ordering again. It’s unsafe.

Decided to have a collection. Ordered online at 740 and waited 20 mins to say it was ready for collection. Went in there and there was about 3 other delivery drivers waiting too. There was only one man serving customers and also making the pizzas (5** rating for him, but also shouldn't of been in there on his own). We waited about 45 minutes for our pizzas. The man deserves alot of credit and a pay rise!! I think that headquarters or customer service need to know about the lack of staff working in there tonight (23 4 2025) I even had to ask him if it was just him on his own and he said they were short staffed. He did give us a free bottle of drink and apologised. So not the guys fault it took soo long

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE - we ordered food and after an hour of waiting, we called them to see where our food was. We were told that the DRIVER had stolen and ate our food and not delivered it. We havent had anything to eat since 12, and its now 23:00. The “manager” had to call a “colleague” because he didn’t know what to do? The communication was appalling and they had no idea what they were doing. We then got told we were lying and that it had been delivered, even though the “manager” told me we had our food stolen and eaten by a driver. I wish i could put 0 stars, as nothing we ordered got delivered! 35 pounds down the drain, should have read the other reviews before ordering!

Shuttleworth, located at Old Warden near Biggleswade, is a family-friendly site featuring a remarkable collection of vintage aircraft and Edwardian cars. The museum was established in 1928 by aviator Richard Ormonde Shuttleworth and showcases five pre-First World War aircraft, including the oldest Bleriot XI from 1909. Additionally, visitors can explore a historic house, Swiss garden, and enjoy all-weather attractions such as a cafe and shop.
Fantastic museum with a working airfield, showcasing vintage aircraft, cars and commercial vehicles, all set within the grounds of a country estate. The grounds are shared with an attractive landscaped garden and a manor house, making Shuttleworth a full day out, with something for everyone to enjoy. All of the vehicles in the collection are maintained in operating condition, and well presented displays cover their respective histories and specifications. The hangars are easily accessible and nicely laid out. The landscaped garden features picturesque little bridges, water features, a charming thatched "Swiss cottage" and an atmospheric grotto. There's a visitor route around the garden taking in all the points of interest. Keep a look out for the resident peacocks while exploring. Parts of the manor house are open on occasion, with some interesting features to see inside. Onsite facilities are good, with a café offering refreshments and classic lunch options, a small gift shop, well maintained toilets and plenty of parking. The combination of museum, working airfield, house and gardens makes Shuttleworth a unique place, and one of the best days out in the area. The aircraft collection is surely second to none. Tickets are £17.50, and permit unlimited return access within 30 days of purchase (except on event days), representing excellent value compared with similar attractions.

We spent a lovely day here. What a special place. Full of interesting information. The Swiss Garden is stunning and very relaxing. The cafe provided some nice food but quite pricey. Nice little gift shop. Looking forward to returning for some of the 2026 events.

Lovely place to visit for plane lovers! Didn't have have long to stay, but will be calling in again. Has a cafe, the food order came quickly but a long wait for hot drinks despite only one person in front of us. The food had arrived at our table before we got back with 2 teas!! The cafe was clean as well as the toilets.

We are so pleased to have found such a great day out so close to home. We have visited many aircraft museums, but feel we have all learned something new today. Have to thank the wonderful volunteers who enriched our visit, especially the wonderful Corinne who went above and beyond to welcome and help everyone, especially our son. The gardens are just breathtaking. We discovered our sons photography talent surrounded by nature and history. Great value too. We are already planning our next visit.

I am so extremely lucky to live locally to this amazing aircraft collection, the range of them from modern to the first ever ones made. Even if you aren’t particularly interested in planes every single aircraft in the hangars has a detailed placard about it and it’s super cool to learn about. I personally haven’t visited the cafe and i’ve seen some bad reviews and experiences so that’s the only reason i would give this a four because i feel like i’m not informed enough to give it a five. The lady that sold me the ticket was so incredibly lovely and we even had a lovely chat together, unfortunately i don’t remember her name but she was wonderful! Below i’ve attached a picture of the placard, they all have qr codes with videos of the aircraft in flight and also statistics and the story behind it.

5 mins off the A1 - ample parking, staff were very friendly and the exhibits were fabulous covering mainly 1900 - 1940 aviation and cars - all in hangers and in superb condition Food was plentiful good quality and price. We had our 9 month old grandson and all the staff fully engaged with him making him laugh Ticket valid for 30 days - definitely worth a visit

The air display was wonderful in spite of changes to the schedule because of high winds. It was the first time I've been round the gardens and the ground floor of the house. Both were thoroughly enjoyable.

We had our wedding here earlier this year and selected the Brothers Supper as our caterer. We had the most incredible day the staff were so welcoming and helpful especially with my mother who has some disabilities which I really appreciated. The house itself had plenty of lifts and stair lift to help her manouever around which was a big requirement for us. The food was so tasty and nothing was too much trouble for the managers and staff. We would recommend both the venue and caterer anytime to anyone.

Garden
Nestled near Biggleswade, the Shuttleworth Swiss Garden is a stunning 10-acre retreat that beautifully showcases Regency-style landscaping. This RHS partner garden invites visitors to explore its enchanting woodland walks and sculpture trails, all while surrounded by serene lakes and vibrant herbaceous borders. With 13 listed buildings scattered throughout, guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding gardens. The garden is designed for families and nature lovers alike, featuring accessible paths that meander through impressive trees and over charming ornamental bridges.
Lovely gardens, wide paths for wheelchair users and families with buggies.Plenty of disabled parking plus cafe on site, and picnic tables as well. Inside the Shuttleworth aviation and motoring hangers.

This was our second visit to the Shuttleworth Collection within a month. Our first visit did not allow enough time to view all the Hangars & as the ticket allows for a free return within 1 month we did just that. The Swiss Garden is included in the ticket price so after our lunch & having finished our tour of the hangars we decided to check out the Swiss Garden. Must say that I was more than pleasantly surprised at how good it is. Very well laid out & maintained with it's water features , ornamental bridges , mature trees & ornamental shrubs. There is a summerhouse & a quirky glasshouse with a tunnel roofed with ersatz stalactites. Very peaceful & restful gardens with plenty of seats. No dogs allowed - there is a designated dog walking area adjacent which is not really worth your while.
Keith H — Google review
Beautifully kept landscaped garden, access to which is included in the Shuttleworth ticket. While I can't say anything jumped out as especially Swiss, the overall effect is very appealing. Easily accessible paths follow a route between impressive trees, over ornamental bridges and up to some charming little buildings, including a lovely thatched summerhouse, inside which is some information about the history of the garden. Small ponds and an atmospheric grotto help create an interesting environment to explore, and if you're lucky you'll see the resident peacocks while visiting. If you've only got a day to visit, you'll have to keep an eye on the time so you've got long enough to look around the superb aircraft collection. If you're nearby, make the most of the garden, as the entrance ticket provides unlimited return visits for the 30 days from purchase, except on event days.

The Christmas lights show in the Swiss Garden (and through the Shuttleworth collection) is delightful. lots ofcolour and magic, and a chance to see the aircraft in a different setting. A good way to experience Christmas lights with a touch of history.

Swiss garden which is part of the Shuttleworth airfield and is included in the ticket price, great place to walk around although there were a few school groups there and places were off limits because of it.
Stephen M — Google review
It is a lovely peaceful place. It was nearly empty when we were there (Friday). It is a well kept semi-formal garden with some interesting features including a few peacocks. The only issue is the "dog friendly walk" which requires a full ticket. It would be better to say no dogs!
Jeff B — Google review
We thoroughly enjoyed our exploration of the gardens around the Shuttleworth collection. Each garden layout was a delight with interesting and unexpected features. The woods, gardens, and pools all came to life with their various sounds, textures and aromas. Every which way you turn, there is something of interest.

Lovely historic garden with so much to see. The food at the cafe however was pretty poor. A menu that is stuck in the 1980's with hardly anything on it being healthy. Come on Shuttleworth Collection bring the cafe into the 21st C.

I finished work early today. I needed, kind of urgently, to get myself a decent suit as our congregation starts meetings at the Kingdom Hall in person again! Fantastic news! (We have been meeting on Zoom for perhaps 18 months now.) Anyway, I tried M&S first. But I'm an unusual fitting. 28" waist, long leg. And 42" jacket, regular. Had to buy shoes. Shirt and tie too. (And socks!) They had no trousers to fit that corresponded with the jacket I required. The following shop was not far away. I forget its name. H&S? Nothing there! So onto River Island! That's NOT an older man's shop, for goodness sake! Everything is slim and appears that it would hug the body too much! Wonderful clothes colours and presentation. A 14yrs to mid 30's shop I'd guess? I'd almost given up! Resigned that I'd have to drive the 8mins home without success! Then!!!! NEXT came next! (Oh I'd been to Materland too. Check spelling?) I climbed the stairs laboriously following the "Men" sign and arrow! Kneeling down was this young man. I cottoned on he was staff. Exasperated I called for his help. In five minutes he had guided me efficiently and respectfully. His suggestions were contrary to the thoughts I had. Nevertheless, I took his advice on shoe colour, belt, shirt and tie. I have no regrets. Infact, his guidance turned out to be a lot better than what I'd have chosen. It's this type of customer focus that immediately made me decide to make the purchase. £250 well spent on what I believe to be quality and fashion. I got the right sizes, design and colouring at time of purchase. Helpful staff on both floors. It's great to see young people serving us oldies with such kindness and respect! Thank you NEXT I am happy to have shopped with you. Jack

Changed their Sunday hours to 10.30. Myself and many others turned up at 10. It’s inconvenient when all the other shops open at 10 and you just want to collect an order.

Was looking for a nice top for a work conference. Loads of exactly what I was looking for listed on their website. None of it held in store. No mark on the listings to say they're online only. The woman behind the counter was belligerent and rude saying they'd got stock hidden upstairs. Still turns out they don't hold any of the nice clothing in store.

Came to pick up an item that we had pre-ordered. There was an issue because they couldn't find it out the back. However, they took our mobile number and said they would continue to look while we did our other shopping and phone as soon as they had found it. And they did 👍 The rest of the store was clean and tidy. New season clothes have replaced the chaos that was the sales racks. Staff were great.
Piggy P — Google review
Customer service here isn't great. Staff members either can't be found on the shop floor or gathered all in one aisle. And they just stand close together chatting.

5 stars. Costa coffee upstairs for a break for the fella's. Combined male, female toilet and a disabled, toddler changing toilets also upstairs. So there's a queue. Elevator at rear of shop if you cannot use stairs. Male clothing and accessories upstairs, female down stairs. The aisles are narrow and space between displays are a bit tight, but how much room do you need to browse around. Staff are polite and keep the shop displays neat and tidy. Overall a very pleasant air conditioned shop. 5 stars.
Wayne B — Google review
Very helpful and nice staff, 5* for them alone. Also a really nice tiled floor which is worth taking a look at. Stylish formal menswear, they seem to be favouring slim fits and as a very slender man there trousers too tight and shirts too loose.

New big store, has two levels and both are large. Would have got 5 stars but it lost a star since we waited in a huge que at the tills when there was clearly staff and spare tills available but they were busy doing other non-essential duties.

Just had a fantastic meal at The Spice Lounge food superb so tasty and cooked to a high standard as normal. Service was excellent as always such friendly staff always smiling and never over attentive. Thank you for such a lovely meal.

I got a delivery from Spice Lounge and ordered a meal for one. It was such a shame as it took an hour and 20 minutes for the food to arrive. When I phoned after an hour, I was told it’s because I live 15 minutes away (I live under 10 minutes) but there was no apology for it. When the food did arrive, it was lukewarm at best but it did taste good and very flavourful. Had there have been some acknowledgement about the time it was taking/had taken maybe I could have overlooked it but it did feel a bit disappointing. I don’t doubt that had the meal have been in the restaurant it would have been great, but the delivery was just a real disappointment.

Lovely meal for valentine's day - the banquet deal on a Wednesday is excellent value for money and really good quality. The staff are really attentive and friendly. Food is delicious, served quick and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone in the local area.

Took a long time to take our order. Chicken tikka starter isn't very tasty. We've had better chutney selection with our poppadoms elsewhere. It was cold in the restaurant. Man kept coming up to ask how food was suggesting it was wonderful, then kept badgering us to give a fantastic review before we left. Don't think we will be going back. Average food, pushy staff.

Superb Indian restaurant, the food is always excellent and the staff are all very friendly and make you feel welcome. I get food for takeaway twice a week from here, and I have never had any problems as the food is always an excellent standard . There is a nice little restaurant area for those wishing to eat in aswell . My personal favourite dish here is lamb garlic with garlic rice. If you are a garlic lover then this dish is a real treat, but of course there are many other tasty dishes available for you to try. Prices are very reasonable and on a Monday and Tuesday you get 10% discount on takeaway aswell as a free drink. Excellent food. Excellent service and Excellent staff. Recommend 💯 %.

Fast food restaurant
When you think of fast food, McDonald's is likely one of the first names that comes to mind. This iconic chain has been serving up its beloved burgers and fries for years, creating a familiar atmosphere that feels like home. During my recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was; the fries were hot and crispy with just the right amount of salt, while the chicken selects were incredibly tasty—especially when paired with their sweet chili sauce.
Let's start with the atmosphere, it's a McDonald's, so it's never going to set the world alight is it! So it gets a very average 3 stars. Now the food, on this occasion, was amazing, I know its only McDonald's, but this time, the chips were piping hot, crispy and perfectly salted. The chicken selects, we're really, really good. Crisp, hot, really tasty, and their sweet chilli sauce in my opinion, is the perfect accompaniment. So on this visit, it ticked all the boxes it could, Biggleswade McDonald's, keep up the good work. Definitely a much better restaurant than some others around.

Appalled at Stratton Business Park McDonald's. I ordered from Uber a few weeks ago and they had sent us the wrong items. When I called them they didn't even have a system in place to rectify the mistake. They said they didn't replace food. Today I ordered from Just Eat and they sent us the wrong items AGAIN! Again, I had to chase Just Eat for a refund as they don't send anyone out with the correct items. Terrible service. I don't think Stratton Business Park should be allowed to deliver as they're messing up people's plans and evenings by sending them the wrong meal! Will never order from again. The same mistake twice in a row!! Disgusting!

Refused to customise a big tasty burger ?!? The food is in left the car park.. see pictures, not the usual standard expected from McDonalds, a franchise though 😞

This is what you'd expect from a McDonalds really. There is good service and several options for ordering, drive through, park up and going in, also you can park and they will bring it out to you if you order and pay on the app. The reason the rating is so low is because they are constantly run out of ice cream and milkshakes. We used to get them pretty regularly and I would estimate that 40% of the time they were out which is very annoying when that's all you go for. The good thing is you can check the app now and if they are out it shows as unavailable so you can save yourself a trip.
Katie W — Google review
Worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Went in just after 23.30 Saturday night. Couldn't order on the app as it working. Then went and ordered at the screen, pressed at the end for table service, came up with no receipt available, so had to collect at counter. Waited 10 minutes and a young chap doing the window orders said " what you after" waiting for my order I said. He then said there aren't any apple pies, I'll have to get the manager to refund you. She was rude, miserable and actually put off because I wanted that part of meal refunded. Another 10 minutes later I'm still waiting. The other loud mouth miserable one in charge shouted over to say it's nearly ready. By then I'd had enough and asked for a refund as I still had an hour's drive home. She said she didn't know how to do refunds and ended up giving me the cash instead. No apology from any 3 of them during the whole time. Tables were still covered with empty meal wrappers and needed cleaning. Rubbish on the floor too.
Matthew T — Google review
A nice McDonald's. It is spacious and clean. I visited at 10 am on a Tuesday and it was empty! Downstairs is small with some seating, a few ordering kiosks, disabled wc, and a lift. Upstairs, there are lots of seats, more kiosks, and the wc's, which were clean and a decent size. There is a drive thru, plenty of outdoor seating too as well as a children's play/climbing frame.
Mark S — Google review
It's a typical McDonald's.....ordered via the board and had it delivered to table. They forgot the ketchup but no big deal really. Food was delivered quickly and was fresh. Staff were busy keeping the floors and tables clean. Tablets and colouring sheets available to keep kids entertained but hardly any crayons which was disappointing.
Missy G — Google review
UPDATE: visited on 18/12/2023 to go in for a coffee. Waited 12 minutes for a coffee and no customers were inside. The place was a mess with food all over the floor, rubbish overflowing in the bins. There was more than a handful of staff stood around doing nothing apart from having conversations with each other. Not interested in making the place look respectable. Photos added. My most decent visit hasn't changed my opinion of this particular McDonald's. The car park has litter falling out of the bins, a great first impression to anyone. Using the drive thru is painful. Order a black coffee at 05:30, I'm the only car in the drive thru, no one else is being served. I drive around they keep me waiting 14 minutes. When it's served it's was pretty much thrown towards me, which is probably the reason they serve is luke-warm rather than hot. Attitude of staff is disgusting. On my last visit I ordered a double cheeseburger, again no one in the drive-thru as it was just after midnight (I work shifts). The whole process took 18 minutes, not fast and when I looked at the burger it wasn't food. The burger was cold, not slightly warm, the cheese was rock hard and there was no sauce on it. How this place continues to be open is amazing. You really need to look at the staff you're training because they seem to be afraid of serving hot items. Either that or the training needs to be investigated. How can this McDonald's consistently get it so wrong 100% of the time, they all work off the same food product, cooking facilities and the rest around the country are exactly what you expect to pay for. I wouldn't waste my money here again. I'll take a longer drive to Baldock services when I want a McDonald's in future.

Nestled in the picturesque countryside, The White Horse in Southill, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire is a delightful country pub that embodies the charm of traditional dining with a modern twist. This inviting establishment boasts a heated patio and a lovely garden area where guests can enjoy their meals al fresco. Known for its comforting food classics and an impressive selection of real ales, The White Horse caters to various dietary needs with gluten-free and vegan options available.
Visited late Sunday afternoon for Sunday dinner and had the best roast I can remember in a long time. The roast lamb was gorgeous and every single item on the plate was so tasty. We also had one childrens meal and another adult meal and 3 desserts and enjoyed it all, empty plates all round! Service was also really friendly and everyone was lovely with our little boy. We will be back!

I do like it here love where it is and the chilled vibe and decor. But I find the food a bit hot and miss to be fair. One day I’ll go and it’s exceptional then the last time I went it was fair to middling, I should have said something as my pie was very hard and dry. Price wise is about on par with most pubs in the area but it needs to be really good food for me at these prices. Disabled parking is good and good toilets as well. Staff are really friendly and accommodating. Has lots of room inside and outside fabulous garden. Worth a visit definitely. Changed my star rating to four as they are one of my favourite places to go.

My partner and I had our wedding reception in the barn outside the pub, and it was fantastic! Louise was so easy to work with and was consistently organised, which made planning seamless and stress-free. The wedding packages are also very flexible, right down to choosing what food you want. Leading up to our event, Louise was excellent at coordinating the set up of the room, whilst also ensuring that everything was how we envisioned. During our event, the bar staff, servers, and kitchen staff were all so accommodating, polite, and efficient. The whole evening ran so smoothly and us and our guests had a fantastic time! I fully recommend The White Horse if you're looking for a venue that's oozing with character, has great staff and management, has delicious food and drinks, and will ensure you have a night you'll look back on fondly forever ❤️

This pub is neatly tucked away in the countryside and has a lovely outdoor area. The food was good and had options for gluten free and vegan. We called about a half hour before turning up on a Saturday afternoon and didn’t need a booking. We were able to bring our dog and the pub managed to accommodate, finding us a table tucked out the way. The service however was quite slow. After ordering the main, we requested dessert and seemed to be waiting ages before being told they were out of vegan ice cream. Despite this, I’d still go back.

The Stable room was perfect for the occasion, quiet and private with plenty of room for the 120 or so who attended. The room was prepared beautifully with thought and care and it is obvious Louise and her team have a real heart for those they serve whatever the occasion. A real credit to the White Horse and its owners The food was very good and timing was spot on. The White Horse is in lovely grounds, so much space to sit quietly or for children to run safe and play and plenty of off road parking. It couldn't have been better for what we needed. Thank you ❤️

Would highly recommend The Stables as a venue choice! My mum celebrated her 60th birthday here and Louise ensured it ran smoothly from start to finish... The venue itself is beautiful and all the guests complemented the food :) The bar staff are also amazing and didn't struggle to serve almost 90 guests! So glad we chose here x
