In the charming city of Cambridge, the Grand Arcade stands as an airy and modern shopping center, offering a diverse range of high-street shops and international brand names. This upscale mall, constructed from natural materials, features a flagship John Lewis & Partners store and hosts around 60 premium and high street retailers under its sky-lit roof.
Really loved the deals there. Sales were better compared to other big cities.

This is a really nice shopping centre. It's not massive, but it's clean and modern. It has a good range of shops, including a large department store, a cinema and a library.
There are several floors, although only the ground floor seems to be occupied with shops. The first floor appears to be completely under-utilised, as there are not too many shops there, and quite a few vacant units. The toilets are on the second floor and they are clean and well-maintained.
There are lifts and escalators in the shopping centre, making it accessible for everyone.
In contrast to the shopping centre being very modern, the car park is the complete opposite. It is very old and needs to be modernised. There are lots of tight turns and it is quite poorly lit in places. There are also lots of homeless people camped in there in tents, which makes it feel quite unsafe, especially in the evenings. They are often being very loud and I have witnessed them smoking and drinking in there too.
They close the entrances to the shopping centre quite early, so if you need access to the car park, you have to go in via one of the side entrances. They don't really make this clear, so I was walking around for a while before I worked out how to get back in. Maybe they could let customers know this, by displaying the information on the closed gate?
Overall, a decent shopping centre, but it has the potential to be so much better.
Toilets always have a queue, the soap dispensers never has any soap. The lifts are always out of order. The parking is astronomically expensive. I would not recommend this shopping centre to any visitor to Cambridge. Has the usual shops nothing unusual or particularly exciting. Theres only two floors and the second floor is not worth going to. All in all for all the swish decor its all looks but no substance.
The Grand Arcade is a shopping center with access to John Lewis at the far end on three levels. Can't give it many stars as shopping centers in my book are best avoided.
The shopping center is on three levels. Most on the ground, a few up one level and toilets and gallery on the top.
Love there is a Raspberry PI shop, hate there are mobile phone shops. Who buys a mobile phone from a bricks and mortar shop.
The loos are up one level, at least the ones I found. On a second visit, and urgent visit they were closed. Luckily John Lewis is easily accessed and they also have loos on all levels.
Costa for coffee, but it was closed.

Good shopping mall in the center of the small town. The mall is spread across three floors. Good place to shop, eat and enjoy. Nicely decorated during the festive seasons. There is Tesla store on the ground floor. Nice place to spend with family.
Cambridge is an excellent place to visit. Botanical garden is excellent place. Very well maintained. Green house is very good. Excellent variety of cactus
I love visiting this place, all because of the beautiful people around I have been living here since last 1.5 years and still not done visiting this beautiful place well it’s not the place itself it’s the people 😀

It was an absolute privilege performing at this wonderful venue. The staff were all great, friendly and helpful. The building is iconic and the history is on par with many london venues. Absolutely amazing!
My dressing room was very special. I felt like a rock star! 😎😁

Excellent concert venue. Big enough to have a decent crowd but still feel relatively intimate. Attended Ocean Colour Scene supported by Kula Shaker and it was a brilliant experience.
Go to a lot of gigs and this venue is right up there. Excellent sound, great location well run (bar is a little slow but where isn't really) Absolutely recommend, we travelled from Ireland and will be watching out for more gigs to attend here. Top stuff.
Nice venue and easy access. Bear in mind most of the seating is positioned flat so may have restricted views if a tall person sits in front of you!
With that said, this venue has a great line up!

We got there early. Front door was open but no-one anywhere in evidence.
Went back nearer the start time and got in easily.
Signage internally is a bit hit and miss but the ushers were helpful.
The acoustics are a bit poorer than I'm used to (rock concert). Seating is good and reasonably comfy.
Views are reasonable, even from our cheaper seats.
If you're driving in, onsite parking non-existent. Council carparks are close, charging £1.50/hr after 6pm but if you want to make a day of it and park earlier, be prepared to pay a LOT more.
There's several Park and Ride carparks available but the bus services stop at about 8pm, making getting back from a show a nightmare. Some park & ride parks are served within a 10-15-20 minutes walk by local buses but you need to do a bit of googling.
One BIG criticism: Customer service?they've heard of it. I emailed to their only published email address with a question. Twice. Several days apart. Absolutely no response at all, even to say "sorry can't help". Very poor indeed.l
Nice venue, first visited there in 1972. It's changed a bit since then. Back in the day it was mainly standing for the bands I used to see. Now it's all seated
One complaint I have is that the tiers of seating are not steep enough, so you can have your view blocked by people seated in front.
Can't comment on the bar, as didn't use it.
Getting in and out of the venue was pretty fast.
I was there for a Hawkins concert. The seats are comfortable and the sightlines are ok. The bar staff are friendly and the drinks typical for a theatre, ie expensive but not ridiculous. Toilets are clean but barely adequate for the venue size.
My friends and I were in the top tier. The show was great. However, the seats in that tier are to small even for small bodies and they are not staggered to enhance viewings. The venue was very warm and we were all very glad when the show ended. Exit to the outside was good and much needed due to the heat in the exchange.
Great concert venue. Seating a bit cramped on the balcony but watching Rick Wakeman and his superb band kept my mind off it!

I found Cambridge Market Square underwhelming. For such a historic and vibrant city, I expected something more distinctive and rooted in the local culture. Instead, the stalls felt generic, selling things that could be found in almost any market elsewhere. There wasn’t much that felt uniquely “Cambridge” about it.
The food options were particularly disappointing. Nothing stood out as something I’d want to try again, and the prices were on the high side for what was being offered. I wouldn’t really choose to eat there, especially when there are so many better places around the city.
Overall, the market lacks character and originality. It doesn’t showcase local produce, crafts, or specialties in a way that would make it worth visiting. Honestly, there’s nothing that makes it feel like a must-see in Cambridge—it could just as easily be anywhere else.

Cambridge is a market city, and stalls have been trading at the historic market square in the city centre since the middle ages. From Monday-Sunday, 10am-4pm, you will find stalls selling a wide range of goods including: Street Food, Books, Vinyl, CDs and DVDs Clothes, jewellery and bags Fruit and vegetables, fresh fish and health foods Second hand bikes Garden plants Mobile phones and accessories ...and much more!
Very expensive stuff (tourist prices) but a great variety of food & drink including organic, trinkets and souvenirs here. We had some nice Malaysian-Japanese take away. Cam Cattle sells great steak here at the weekend - sells quickly though so best to visit in the morning.

There weren’t as many stalls as I expected, to be honest. It’s quite small even smaller than some neighborhood markets back in Turkey. But we got lucky and found a Turkish stand selling gözleme, and it was absolutely amazing! That definitely made our day 🥹

The Eagle, a historic pub in Cambridge, has been serving beer since 1667 and is known for its lively atmosphere. It's a popular spot with both indoor and outdoor seating, although the tables are close together inside. The beer garden is a lovely place to enjoy in the summer, despite not getting much sun. This iconic establishment holds historical significance as it was where RAF and American airmen left their mark on the ceiling and where Watson and Crick made their groundbreaking DNA discovery announcement.
Was shown around Cambridge by a friend who said this is a must do pub with an interesting history from WWII. As one of Cambridge’s most famous pubs it is incredibly busy and a booking will likely be required. The food was incredible. Ordered a steak and ale pie and fish and chips to share with my friend. The chips were crispy (a very important quality to me 😆) and the pie flavour had a subtle ale taste with a good thickness for the pastry. The fish for the fish and chips tasted fresh with a very nice tartare sauce which had a bit of texture to it. It’s a great place for small groups to get together and have a meal and a fun chat.

A wonderful and vibrant spot in Cambridge where you can truly feel the city’s historical and academic vibe in a bar setting! The atmosphere is lively, with lots of decorations that add character. The Eagle in Cambridge felt like stepping into history itself. The pub has such a warm, traditional charm, and knowing it’s where Watson and Crick first announced the discovery of DNA made it even more special. The wooden interiors, old beams, and RAF graffiti on the ceiling added so much character. I enjoyed the atmosphere more than anything – it’s the kind of place where you can just sit, have a drink, and soak up the stories around you.
We love this pub! We make a point to eat here when we visit the area. Can’t beat the atmosphere, the food is yummy, and the service is good. The history makes it even that much more interesting.

We stopped here to enjoy some lunch in a historic location. The pub was dark and quiet, which we very much enjoyed. I ordered a steak and ale pie, which was my favorite meal during our visit to the UK.
No explanation is really needed—the Eagle is the most famous pub in Cambridge, with countless legendary stories attached to it. A wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, and a lively interior that’s always bustling with people. The fish and chips are excellent—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, simply superb. I always think I’ll order something else, but in the end, I always go back to this. With a wide variety of beers available, you’re sure to have a fantastic time here.
Bustling pub with great vibes but the food really lets down the great service and atmosphere. The duck confit had incredibly dry burnt potatoes, the mint pea soup was chunky...the best thing was the triple cooked chips with mayo. Lovely prompt service otherwise!

Fitzbillies is a classic bakery and cafe in Cambridge, known for its traditional pastries and artisan coffee. It's a popular spot for East Anglian fare, offering delicious Chelsea Buns that come highly recommended by locals and even Stephen Fry. The cafe specializes in Traditional Afternoon Tea, making all the bread for finger sandwiches, sultana scones, and mini cakes in their own artisan bakery.
We had the original Chelsea bun, and it met expectations. It was warm, fresh and had lots of small raisins in it. Service was quick, and the lady at the counter was the sweetest. Also not too pricey considering the touristy location, and the cafe’s popularity.

I ordered a sultana raisin scone served with jam and clotted cream, along with a cup of coffee. The scone was beautifully crisp on the outside, while the cream was rich and indulgent — absolutely delicious.
I shared a few Chelsea buns with my friends, and they were every bit as good as their reputation.
Although the café was busy, we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were served.
The lively atmosphere made it the perfect place to enjoy good conversation over excellent pastries.

We visited Fitzbillies on a busy Sunday afternoon — it was packed (as expected!) but we managed to get a table without too much waiting. The ordering system is done through your phone, which was convenient overall, though one of the hot drinks was a bit tricky to find on the menu.
Of course, we had to try the famous Chelsea bun, and it didn’t disappoint — beautifully sticky, sweet, and rich. They even provided extra golden syrup to pour on top, which was a nice touch. The cappuccino looked great and was well presented, though it could’ve had a bit more depth of flavour.
We also had a savoury snack of whipped feta and chickpeas, this was nice but 4 crackers was not enough.
The staff were friendly and attentive, even with how busy it was. Overall, a good experience and definitely worth a visit if you’re in Cambridge — especially for the Chelsea bun!
The cinnamon bun at Fitzbillies is absolutely divine—soft, rich, and bursting with flavor. The café has a warm, welcoming vibe, and the display of fresh pastries is irresistible. A must-visit spot for anyone who loves classic, indulgent baked goods!
Came here to check out the iconic Chelsea buns. They were great and lived up to its expectations. Others may find it too sweet for them, but I think it’s a matter of preference and I can appreciate it!
We then saw they did afternoon tea, so we tried it:
Sandwiches were poor and lacked flavour. Scones were huge (easy split 1 between the 3 of us), and the jam was great. Red velvet cake was amazing. Others were average.
Service was really friendly but completely disorganised. Asked for water but never came (mistakes happen, so it’s ok). But while a male waiter was bringing in loads of fresh cutlery, he kept lobbing it in their containers and was constantly making ridiculous amounts of noise. No music was playing and generally the cafe was extremely noisy, given that it wasn’t very busy. Atmosphere was nonexistent.
I recommend purchasing your Chelsea buns (as they are worth it) from the bakery beside to takeaway and avoid the cafe. You are not missing much. Value is also on the high side for the quality.
After reading many articles mentioning the Chelsea bun is a must have in Cambridge, I was determined to try it before leaving town. I bought some as take away. When I took a bite into the bun moments later, I was utterly disappointed. It was dry and nothing extraordinary. I am not sure what all the hype is about. It was way below my expectations. Only saving grace was the friendly staff I encountered.
We honestly do not understand how this chain can be so busy, since their flagship pastry is a bun with disappointing hints of whatever flavour they promise. We would not be trying this again. It might be catering for the English palette.
The interior design is as dull as they come.
The only positive is the generally friendly staff.

We recently took a day trip from London to visit the University of Cambridge, and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience. Starting our journey from Canary Wharf, we found the train ride both easy and relaxing, making the visit very accessible even just for a day. As someone who has always dreamed of seeing a world-renowned university like Cambridge, this visit felt particularly special.
Upon arriving, we mostly explored the university grounds on foot, soaking in the rich academic atmosphere and the stunning architecture that spans centuries. While we didn’t go on a formal tour, just walking around the historic colleges and courtyards gave us a profound sense of the university’s legacy. There’s a certain magic to seeing places where some of the world’s greatest thinkers once studied and worked.
One of the highlights was visiting King’s College Chapel—often simply referred to as King’s Cathedral by visitors. Its majestic Gothic architecture, tall stained-glass windows, and breathtaking vaulted ceilings left us in awe. Even from the outside, it stands as a symbol of Cambridge's grandeur and history.
We also made sure to see the iconic Mathematical Bridge, a wooden footbridge at Queen’s College known for its elegant engineering. Legend has it that it was once built without any bolts or screws (though that part’s more myth than fact), but seeing it up close still sparked curiosity and admiration.
Overall, the visit was a beautiful blend of history, architecture, and inspiration. Just being there—on the same cobblestone paths walked by Newton, Darwin, and countless Nobel laureates—was deeply meaningful. Whether you're an academic, a curious traveler, or someone who simply appreciates beautiful places with deep roots, Cambridge is a place that leaves a lasting impression.

Even from the outside, the University of Cambridge is breathtaking. The historic buildings, grand colleges, and peaceful courtyards are full of charm and character. Walking around the city feels like stepping into a storybook, with stunning architecture and a calm, scholarly atmosphere. A must-see for anyone visiting Cambridge.
Hundreds of years of history, and stories of academic, political, and business success, and strong community engagement. There’s a fabulous market, the selection and prices are really good. Optimum dining and drinking establishments (ie ‘The Anchor’) and the best Chelsea buns, … at ‘Fitzbillies’ offer friendly and attentive service. There’s also the Time Eating Corpus Christ clock and a Gin Laboratory for additional fun. Punting is an option, prices vary so take note, and the sun can really beat down on a hot day. A great getaway, walk the many parks, ‘shop drop,’ and explore. You’ll love the visit. An easy ride from King’s Cross Station.. PS.. take the non stop direct run to Cambridge.
The city has an aura for heritage and is beautiful but my experience is it should be kept more clean. There are flies everywhere due to open bins.

Lots of history and tradition. Nice architectural buildings. It’s a good one day trip getaway.
It's more about just walking through the historical campus taking in the amazing scenery but also about learning the background how this place function. It is then easier to grasp how people who went through this place could contribute so much to science, mathematics, literature etc.
This place is like the perfect garden bed with the right soils. The seeds are given the best possible conditions to grow, to blossom and some eventually into giants.
We did a day visit to Cambridge University and walked around a few of the colleges. Be prepared for all the tourists! Definitely recommend punting - we went with Scudamore’s. Unless you’re really good at navigating a punt through a crowded river, I’d suggest refraining from doing it yourself. Just relax, enjoy your wine and take in the stunning views.
Pleasantly surprised with all the breakfast and lunch options available in the area. You won’t go hungry 😃

Wow!! This gelato shop is the best I’ve ever tried! As I approached, I saw lots of people enjoying their gelato, either walking by or sitting nearby. The line was long, but thankfully, the wait wasn’t too long. They offer a wide variety of flavors that change weekly.
After some difficult choices, I picked Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt and Coconut Ube, opting for a chocolate dipped cone. The gelato was incredibly smooth, and the cone was nice and crispy.
If I return to Cambridge, I will definitely come back to try more flavors!
Oh, and they have a mini print vending machine in the shop! I got a cute print, which was a lovely bonus! 😍

The shop is always busy. They frequently change their menu, that helps to attract returning customers.
The flavours of this time were a bit too sweet for my liking.
No matter how many times they change the menu, their ice cream always has very dense texture.
It's a very popular shop. Be prepared to queue or scanning their QR code for faster service.
Also, the road outside the shop is very busy and narrow. Watch out for the cars and bicycles!
My son has allergies, so it’s always tricky to find gelato or ice cream he can safely enjoy. Often he ends up feeling upset because there’s nothing suitable for him — only parents of children with allergies will truly understand that frustration.
Thankfully, Jack’s Gelato was incredibly kind and accommodating. Even though it was busy, the staff didn’t rush us or make us feel like a burden. They were so patient, understanding, and genuinely went above and beyond for my little boy. We were deeply grateful.
And the gelato was delicious — rich, gooey, and thick, just the way I love it. If it hadn’t been so tasty, I wouldn’t even be writing this review!
It’s already a popular place, but I still want to say — I would highly recommend Jack’s Gelato. Thank you again to the lovely staff for your kindness and care🩷
There was this really long queue stretching even outside the store's entrance. However, I love the quick collection service for people who know what they want and can get fast-tracked, prioritised service - condition is you have to know what you want, can't have free samples and pay online using the QR code.
I did just that, and worth it. I got the coconut and ube vegan gelato, and another one of dark chocolate with sea salt (also vegan). Loved them both. Definitely a great dessert treat for those visiting Cambridge.
Definitely an amazing experience but as long as you don't mind a bit of a wait..if you do, go on their website and pick the flavours you want as they have a queue jump window. You can mix and match with some unique and amazing flavours, but also follow their Instagram to find out the unique secret flavour per day. Very delicious
A small place with tasty gelato! It’s not the best I have ever had, but definitely good and worth trying when visiting Cambridge. The options are a bit limited, but it’s a nice spot for a quick treat, and the staff are friendly and welcoming.

Sometimes the queue could be long but it normally moves quite quickly. They also have an online ordering website where you could "skip the line". It's certainly one of the best gelatos I have ever had! They have different flavours everyday so make sure you check on their Instagram / website before you go! They also have Durian flavour available in sealed cups available in store - unfortunately could not be ordered through the "skip the line" website)

The best gluten free burger I’ve ever had in my life! As a coeliac for many years it is so nice to finally find an amazing gluten free burger and bun that doesn’t fall apart! I Found out about steak and honour through their food truck at Eddington square and now whenever they are there I’ll order! Ordered lots through Deliveroo too and will continue to do so! Staff are always so lovely and accommodating, highly recommend.

It's an American style burger restaurant. It has quite a lot of similar rivals around the area. Honest Burgers is one of the rivals.
The restaurant has a very limited menu, fries are the default side for the burgers. No salad or coleslaw.
Limited cutlery for customers. No wrapping papers for the burgers. You have to eat everything with your hands. I can understand, the rent of the location is not going to be cheap.
At least there are tissues on each table and a clean toilet available. The tables and seats are clean. Quiet environment.
The food was in generous portions. Everything was freshly made for every order. Hot served. You would get more than you have paid for.
Waiting was not long. Very efficient.
The restaurant is much bigger than it looks from outside.
Hands down the best burger in Cambridge (and perhaps in the U.K.).
I learned about this burger joint through a delivery app called “Foodstuff,” which only works and partners with local restaurants (no chains). As it turned out, this restaurant is located right at the city centre of Cambridge, very close to my work.
I am from Latin America and my journey for a decent burger in the city had been largely unsuccessful (and disappointing). After trying several pubs and burger chains, I could simply not find a single one that offered the bare minimum: a tasty and juicy burger patty cooked perfectly (medium or medium-rare). I was on the verge of giving up on burgers for good when I found Steak & Honour. This restaurant made me a believer again. It is certainly the best burger I had in Cambridge (and, I dare to say, in the country) and is totally worth a visit.
My only criticism is that the fries were too salty. Other than that, everything was perfect! Please note that seating is available upstairs.

My recent visit left me with mixed feelings. While the service was quick and efficient, the overall experience wasn’t the best, since I went in with high expectations based on the reviews posted online!
The highlight of the meal was the crispy fries. However, the burger itself wasn’t that tasty. The patty was noticeably overcooked and dry, lacking the juicy tenderness that one would expect from a quality burger.
The cleanliness of the tables were a bit off-putting. We noticed crumbs and stains scattered across the surfaces.
I was a loyal customer of this place when they first opened and made a beeline back here after having lived abroad for the last few years. The quality and flavor of the locally sourced beef is really quite amazing, and I was pleased to find that it hasn’t changed a bit. I really appreciate the attention to detail with different flavors and ingredients. Also, they have a really great beer selection! Enjoy!!

The last time I had Steak and Honour was years ago when they only sold out of their food truck. Back then, I loved their beef burgers in brioche bun. So simple but juicy and flavourful, just no nonsense beef burgers done right with quality ingredients. Last December was my first visit to their store. I am Vegan now but I went there as I was with my mum. She enjoyed the One for Ella (Beef Burger) but wasn’t impressed by it. So, I can’t make a fair assessment whether there is a difference in quality. The Check the Pulse Veggie Burger I had was just ok. Not the best bean patty I had (and was quite thin to me), but overall flavourful and I liked the beetroot pickle.
There is two more floors of seating upstairs so shouldn’t be a problem getting a table. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The place was generally kept tidy and clean, with a bright atmosphere.
By far the best burgers in Cambridge!!! The milk bun is soft and delicious. The patty’s are so tasty and the bacon tastes like maple syrup. Everything about this place is fantastic - 10/10 recommend

Tortilla Cambridge is a great mexican restaurant with delicious food and friendly service. The food is fresh and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great Mexican meal.
Good place to eat around the city centre. Portions are generous, nicely spicy and full of flavour. The shop is clean and well kept, and the customer service is really good – friendly people who make you feel welcome.

This is a large chain so my expectations were not huge but we'd just been in Taco Bell next door to check the menu and walked out as even the pictures on their menu looked depressing but I really fancied taco's so popped in to Tortilla and I have to say not only were they very tasty Tacos, they were actually one of the best I've had outside of LA & Mexico. The ingredients were so fresh and extremely tasty and unusually, I could get a Trio with three different meats. I will definitely be back but my only criticism is the style of restaurant but I guess it works for their profits so they won't change based on this review 🤣 I just think it's a shame I have to queue, Subway style to get better tacos than most sit down Mexican restaurants. It just feels a bit rushed and pressured when they're busy and there's no guarantee there's a seat even though you've chosen to dine in when paying

I am a Mexican-American living in the UK. This was perfectly meh. The service was so slow: 10 minutes for three tacos and a chicken quesadilla. I ordered the carnitas, and everything was SO salty! The salsa was “spicy” for UK standards. Nothing great. I would not return.
I had a really disappointing experience at Tortilla. I was queuing at the till rather than the touchscreen ordering points and politely asked a member of staff if that was okay. She grunted in response and told me I could, but that I’d need to wait. I was happy to wait and stood patiently for around five minutes, but she then disappeared and shouted across the counter that “napkins take priority.”
After waiting a bit longer, I asked another staff member if someone could serve me, and was bluntly told it was my own fault for waiting so long because I wasn’t using the touchscreen. The whole interaction felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive. I understand it can be busy, but there’s no reason for staff to speak to customers like that. Really disappointing service. I won’t be returning.
Food was really delicious , absolutely loved it and what made it even better was the atmosphere and the service provided from BEA and KINGA

Was an enjoyable experience, the food was great, tasted really good and prices are reasonable. Good choice of cocktails and wine is always nice too.
The staff were just as great maybe even better. From the moment we came in to the moment we left, staff were all really friendly and extremely helpful. Even commented how nice my partners dress was. I did note on the booking that it was my partners birthday and at least 5/6 staff members came up to her throughout the night to say happy birthday even the manager, which was really appreciated and made the evening even better. They even presented her with an bday dessert too with a candle which was the cherry on top of a great night.
Our server for the night Marvin was an absolute delight, they were incredible and made us feel comfortable and well looked after. Shout out to Marvin, if we can request someone to look after us next time it will be Marvin for sure. Had a smile on the whole time, kept our drinks topped up and even had a great wine recommendation to pair with our dessert
All in all was a great evening, will definitely be visiting the next time we are in Cambridge and would recommend to anyone

Been to this particular Ivy on a couple of occasions. If you’ve been to one they are all pretty much the same with regard to food as the menu is consistent. They differ though on consistency and service. The Ivy in Cambridge is very good indeed, the food is always consistently good and the service is impeccable and you are well looked after. On Fridays visit we chose to eat off their Heritage menu which is good value for lunch. All the dishes we had were delicious and our server, Marvin, was also very attentive. Recommended.
The afternoon tea experience was lovely — the service and our waiter were excellent, and everything was beautifully presented. However, there were a bit too many sweet options, and the balance between sweet and savoury could have been better. It was delicious, but quite a sugar overload!
We reserved seats for Valentine’s Day with a set menu. The ambiance is inviting and draws the eyes to many special motifs throughout the place. We had squid appetizer and a plate of their sourdough bread. I’d encourage you to get the bread. My wife and I both exceptionally loved the bread and will go back if only for the bread (the bread is a clear repeat beyond anything else we had). For the entrees, we had salmon and a lobster pasta. Both were good and yet not stunning or set for a repeat. There were very large chunks of lobster in the pasta which was welcome, and the salmon was crisp on the outside with moist-soft texture in the middle, yet the flavors of both entrees were just “ok”. The dessert was fun to witness and quite tasty. The video is of the dessert.
This is a great place. We ordered their popular shepherds pie, steak and chips which I replaced with another side. Food presentation was great. I saw their fish and chips which is impressive. I will definitely try it next time if I am hungry enough.
The Ivy is a staple among visits to unfamiliar cities. The Ivy Cambridge is lovely, with an eye catching decor, consistent experience guarantee, and a generous selection of drinks.
We did have a wee wait for our bill once we had finished our drinks and wanted to leave. However, the bartender worked tirelessly making various cocktails, entertaining bar guests and maintaining cleanliness around his section, so this is easily forgiven. As with many Ivy locations, it is well worth going if you fancy a night drink or dining experience
We had a wonderful evening here, the only downside was that we were both slightly disappointed with our mains (our fault, our choice) the Scallops and Squid were both great and the I've chocolate bomb was the star of the show. From the attentive front of house staff to pur waiter it was a lovely meal. Only negative was the ill pouring of good wine at the table, every drop is designed for enjoyment, we dont need to waste it on the cloth. We highly recommend this restaurant and yes we know its a little expensive.
We came here for a 3 year anniversary dinner and everyone was so lovely. We even got a little dessert from The Ivy at no extra cost celebrating the occasion. It was so nice, I loved the artwork. The food was delicious. We had the cheese soufflé, truffle balls, burger and I think a duck curry of some sort (apologies this was 3 months ago!). Then the celebratory bomb with popping candy! Plus the extra treat from the Ivy. It was so yummy, I’m surprised we weren’t carried out we were so full.

I like it. And the location is good, there is a street with interesting shops and cafes nearby. Just don't go to Primark on the next street, otherwise you will be left without money. Buy all sorts of wonderful things in The Grafton, then in Primark, because you will have to wear it all, get pleasure from it, but what about the money? You will have to spend it!😉☺️

Really, I would give two stars purely for the fact that most of the shops in Grafton are closed, for whatever reason. It's a nice space. We mostly visit for shopping. It is nice that there is a cinema on sight, seats are comfy, especially for the kids. Nice clean toilets and a decent space. Other than that, cannot really comment further.
Has been sold to be developed into science labs and student housing. Because CAMBRIDGE doesn't have enough of that, does it?!
Whilst people who have lived here for decades are forced to deal with higher housing costs and a general lack of housing, the University, who has their claws dug into every venue in the city centre. decided more students are needed!
The whole city has become a business, one that hardly sees its tremendous profits reinvested into the community, and this depresses me.
The area is really great, loads of places in this area, even there are a lots of eating places, shopping areas and even a mall. Most of the necessary items are found here. Also, lots of sitting place along with beaches or chairs are provided in this area. This makes travelling with elderly people easy if they want to take a a break somewhere for a few minutes.
Very nice with lots of parking space. But close to the payment machine stinks.
This shopping mall used to have a lot of shops which was great and fun but now it feels dead with only a few shops remaining. I understand its going to be a science lab or something, which is a new start and also a big change, but I will definately miss the times that the mall has lots of shops and things. Its so sad how all the big memories from this mall now come to an end....

The Grafton has definitely improved compared to how it used to be, but it still feels like a work in progress. There are a few solid shops that make it worth a visit – I usually pop into H&M or Decathlon, and The Entertainer is great if you're shopping for kids. There's also Bubble CiTea and a Caffè Nero with some outdoor seating, which is nice when the weather holds.
That said, some parts of the centre still feel a bit empty or in transition. You can see they’re aiming for something more modern and community friendly with all the redevelopment; new open spaces, a stronger focus on food spots, even plans for labs and office spaces; but right now it’s not quite there yet.
It’s a decent place if you’re in the area, especially with Fitzroy Street right next to it, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit unless I needed something specific. Still, it’s heading in a better direction than a lot of older shopping centres.

Plentiful of parking, bit chaotic when busy, especially getting in and out of the car park. I would say very awkward junctions when coming out of TK maxx/ Asda area. Else generous 4 hour parking with lots of stores around.
I like this shopping centre. It's terrible they want to develop it, far less facilities/shops for residents. Great selection of shops, particularly appreciate Asda, M&S and Hobbycraft. Gymfinity is fun for kids. A couple of cafes (Costa and in M&S), Pets at Home. Plenty of disabled parking and served by buses.
The shops are okay, the parking is fine, the shoppers often don't know how to drive around the car park without putting people at risk but some of the shops are nice. As others are saying, the surrounding shops during rush hour are a nightmare
So many handy stores for locals and visitors- Cambridge will lose lot of customers once this is closed

Parker's Piece is a 25-acre grassy area in Cambridge, known as the birthplace of football rules. It is one of the many open spaces that enhance the beauty of the city, along with other commons and gardens like Jesus Green, Midsummer Common, Sheeps Green, Lammas Land, Christs Pieces, and more.
Amazing Christmas market. Lots of activities, food stalls and cozy bars. Free entry. Worth the visit. Handmade gift shops, jewellery shops, fresh brownies and German chocolate shop. Plenty of space to walk around lots of seats available. Overall a good experience.

Nothing much else than a big lawn so they decided to stick a huge Ferris wheel in the middle of it. I liked the pole at one end with rules of football but there’s not much else to do here. Would consider going here for a picnic or if you’re into running it would be good for that
Loved the Cambridge Christmas market. We found parking less than 10 walking minutes, and the park itself had a bit of everything for everyone. From churros to crepes (for sweets lovers), ice skating, and the unmissable city view wheel, everything is outstanding. There are lots of outside bar areas to enjoy a mug of mulled wine or a bear, a Christmas tree maze, and lots of stalls with homemade decorations.
Definitely recommend you to pay a visit (was not busy at all, considering was a Sunday afternoon).

A very enjoyable experience. Most cinemas today are soulless cold multiplex. Not so here. I visited on a Wednesday daytime it was warm inviting with excellent engaging staff. There's proper food, drinks and a bar. The screen itself had good comfortable chairs and the back of the chair in front of me was padded so soft on my knees. I could happily spend many hours here. I will definitely visit again. Why would i go anywhere else.

Lovely unique venue with 3 screens. Choices of sweets and savouries to buy, plus a glass of wine if you fancy it. Support these little individual venues. The screen I went to was very full, which is a good sign.
Freezing cold! Otherwise it was fun getting to watch some old studio ghibli on a big screen. Definitely bring a blanket or something to keep warm though.
Decent older cinema in the middle of Cambridge. Screen 1 was slightly dirty though, and the volume could be a bit higher. Good if u were around the area and wanted to relax with a movie.
I love this place. Definitely the best cinema in Cambridge in my opinion and I rarely go to any other. It has a cosy feel to it, the staff are always friendly and probably my favourite thing is that they keep the audio at a reasonable volume instead of having it so loud that you feel your seat shaking.
Friendly staff but the whole place is absolutely boiling! Makes for an uncomfortable experience. Staff were friendly and the toilets decent otherwise, but sort out the heating!
Comfy'ish fleece lined chairs and decent mid sized screens but this cinema is a little dated now and the leg room is a little cramped if you're over 6 foot tall.
However it has character in spades and has a very welcoming atmosphere that you won't find in the larger more corporate multiplexes.

Lovely atmosphere friendly staff good food excellent beer. Unlike most of their estabishments you don't have to travel up several flights of stairs to get to the toilet majority on ground floor easily accessible.
I'm going to be going back sometime this year as it was such an enjoyable experience.

Experience was exceptional. Our server Karis & Olivia looked after us very well. Even the place was filled with tables, they were not stressed at all. Nice atmosphere. We expected we might not be get into the place, yet Karis greeted us warmly and have recommended nice choice. Will definitely be back!

We went for lunch today (Tuesday) there were a couple of people in and it did get busier before we left.
Me and my partner both ordered a pizza, I amended my pizza and took off the spinach and onions to swap to mushrooms which were no problem.
We were sat in a booth near where you come in and there was definitely a draft, we were going to move but the restaurant isn't really covered anywhere which lead to our food going cold very quickly. The bacon was so cold it had gone hard.
The toilets were not in a good way (both male toilets and female toilets). They also smelt.
The two members of staff we spoke to during our visit were pleasant.
The table and seating area was clean.
This is the worst place I think I have every been to. If I could give 0 or negative stars I would.
The food was awful (multiple dishes), staff service was very slow, very poor and the manager was not better either.

Improve your menu, ingredients, attitude, customer service skills and learn to show some good will to customers when you have been paid for meals and drinks in advance that you have not had to fulfil.
Avoid this branch of Bella Italia like the plague and to be honest, I won’t be visiting and other Bella Italia because of this experience.
The pizzas were not of a standard I expected. I saw through the kitchen opening that they go through a TOASTER for pizza's!! Taste was bad, texture was poor and this is not ok for a £11 pizza. Will not be going back to a Bella Italia for the food. Staff were friendly enough.
Delicious carbonara and decent pizza. Desserts were rather hit or miss though. The Sicilian Lemon Cheesecake was the sourest little thing, the Strawberry Panna cotta was great and the cookie was terribly sweet. Overall the service was fabulous and the food was okay.

Food was alright. My partner ordered mini calzone as a starter but apparently inside it had just a tiny bit of cheese (nothing common with calzone apart from the shape. I and my husband order set : starter, main and dessert. £15 per person. For starter we ordered mushrooms with sauce and piece of bread. For main course we ordered bolognese and polloi cacciat it's pasta with chicken and onions. After when we finish eat, they bring very nice dessert chocolate brownie 😊🍫 for drinks we had orange juice and fruit smash moctail 🍹🍸 service was quick and everybody polite and respect each client. 100% recommend and we will definitely come back again ❤️🙏 thank you
The service at the Grafton Bella Italia is really good. We enjoy visiting this venue as we always have a good time. The service is build around a family experience and from the get go this is clear. My kids love colouring and building the Vespa bikes. The food is ready quickly and the flavour is great. We would highly recommend this place!

I recently visited Parker’s Tavern, located within the stunning University Arms Hotel in Cambridge, and had a fantastic experience. Although I didn’t stay overnight, I spent a relaxing evening at the bar, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations.
From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by warm, attentive staff who made the entire visit feel special. The service was impeccable—friendly yet professional—and made us feel completely at ease. We ordered a few drinks and some small plates to share, and everything was top-notch. The cocktail menu was creative and well-curated, and the drinks were expertly made. The food was equally impressive—high-quality, beautifully presented, and full of flavor.
The ambience at Parker’s Tavern is what truly sets it apart. The interior strikes the perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making it ideal whether you’re there for a casual drink or a more special outing. It’s right in the city center, just beside Parker’s Piece, so it’s easily accessible whether you’re a local or visiting Cambridge.

Parker’s Tavern is traditional, polished, but not pretentious. it's inside the University Arms Hotel, it feels like stepping into a modern twist on a grand old dining hall. The menu celebrates British classics done properly (yes, the roast is worth the hype), and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for a five-star setting.
Fabulous lunch at the Parker’s Tavern. The venue is a tasteful mix of old and new and has a great atmosphere. Food was excellent and reasonably priced - loved the cheese straws, burger and the cheesecake. Carlos and his team were knowledgeable, discrete and provided an impeccable service. My new favourite place in Cambridge - can’t wait to return for the Friday night jazz!!!
We had after tea and had a fantastic time. The food and service were excellent the atmosphere as well. What did disapoint us was a heavy charge for a bottle of water. We were asked if we wanted water and we said yes. We thought this might be included in our afternoon tea package. As we went to leave we were asked to pay, we thought, what for? Anyway we had to pay £8 for this which we thought was high. The waiter should have mentioned this and gave us the option for tap water or bottled water. Anyway we still had a great time but this left a sour note.
I had an amazing experience today with my twin sister for our birthday meal. FOH and the waiters were great. So friendly and always had a smile on their face. No issues at all! This was our first time here and it definitely won't be our last!
We visited for afternoon tea on our anniversary. The Place is lovely, and you can take some beautiful pictures! The food included a selection of sweets and sandwiches, which were delicious, along with unlimited tea and coffee. Our hostess was Vasilia; she was kind and frequently checked if we needed anything. Enjoying the esteamed quality of the surrounding, staff and high tea arrangement was an amazing experience of flavours. Absolutely recommended to take your best friends there for a treat or just be selfish and go there from time to time your self.

The Tiffin Truck is a vibrant and casual eatery in Cambridge, offering street-eats, snacks, afternoon tea, and Indian cocktails. The spacious interior provides privacy between tables and clean facilities. The menu features street food, curries, lassis, and imaginative cocktails. It aims to bring the concept of tiffin - a light meal from India - to Cambridge by offering traditional stainless steel lunch boxes for a small deposit.
I was walking around Cambridge looking for a place to have lunch when this restaurant caught my eye—it was full of people, which is always a good sign. When I went in and saw they offered thali (lunch menu) I was so happy! I always love when a restaurant has thali.
They serve it every week day from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m., with a nice variety of small dishes. The portions are on the smaller side (even the samosa was tiny compared to other places I’ve been), but everything was super tasty and flavorful.
The service was very nice, the atmosphere welcoming, and I think the price was very fair for the quality. I’d definitely return and highly recommend it if you’re in Cambridge looking for a satisfying lunch.

Was a bit of a letdown.
There are authentic-looking Indian dishes that are hard to find in mainstream Indian restaurants, but the implementation is lacking. The lemonade was too sour, and the ghee beef roast tasted too burnt to enjoy. The spices felt misproportioned.
The dishes are a bit pricey for the portions too, but guess that is par for the area. They have attempted to get that local Indian eatery ambience, but it does not work for me. The service it decent. Overall, I feel there are better Indian eateries in the city at comparable prices.
Our experience at Tiffin Truck was alright overall. The food was decent — not bad, but not outstanding either. The flavours were okay and the portions reasonable, but nothing particularly stood out. Service was fine, though not especially memorable. It’s a place you could try if you’re in the area, but not necessarily one I’d go out of my way for

Dishes like chole bhature, veg thali, and dosa were all cooked to perfection – less spicy, balanced, and with that comforting homemade taste. The staff was warm and attentive, making the experience even better. The ambiance was really impressive – cool, cozy, and beautifully rich in culture. What a great place! Delicious Indian food! We tried all sorts on the menu and every plate was amazing! Mama Pepper Chicken was my favourite! High quality and fresh ingredients, you could tell the kitchen take pride in each dish. We loved it! Also a really helpful and friendly team, and great Cobra beer on draught! 🍻
We came here for breakfast/brunch. I would highly recommend- they have typical breakfast menu items (eggs on toast) as well as more traditional items, such as dosas. I had the beef and paratha, which was so tasty! The masala chai was lovely too.
Staff were very friendly too. I would definitely return if I was next in the area. It looks small from the outside but there was lots of space inside and is child friendly with plenty of high chairs.
There is street parking (paid) outside as well as some streets nearby with free parking outside.

Yesterday, we visited Tiffin Truck for lunch, but unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations. I ordered the Mama’s Pepper Chicken, but I found it lacking in the pepper flavor that I was hoping for; it tasted quite ordinary instead. Additionally, the prawns in the Malabar Connection dish were not cooked properly, and the dosa was just average. Overall, I don't believe it was worth the price, and I wouldn't recommend it to others.

Doppleganger Burger is a vegan restaurant in central Cambridge that offers a range of plant-based burgers that taste just like the real thing. The shakes are also excellent, with options such as vanilla cheesecake and salted caramel chocolate brownie.
Great plant based burgers! Amazingly tasty burgers with great sauces and choices. The fries are also very good! Would recommend a visit if you’re nearby here whilst in Cambridge! Reminded me of VeganBurg a San Francisco burger bar, but I think this place tops them on choice!! Looking forward to a repeat visit!

A great alternative to other local burger options with different choices from the usual faire in terms of flavours and combinations. I was a little skeptical about the meat free ethos but on tasting the food I am a convert! Quality on offer & flavours are great and we left full and satisfied. In fact if you didnt know you'd be hard pushed to tell the difference between the jackfruit patty and a beef one. The staff were also very friendly and ready to explain any item on the menu. Ordering is done through an iPad at the table which worked well, with a seasonal special & breadless options. We hope the menu grows over time with other interesting options & we will definitely be back!
Delicious vegan burgers! Super large portions, and the taste is good in its own right (perhaps not an exact ‘replica’ of real meat, but patties have their own distinct flavour). The fries were great too - super crispy, and air fried. As a vegetarian I loved it, other meat eaters in my party said it was great too (but still would slightly prefer a normal meat burger).
I'm still dreaming about this place! We went here two days in a row. Unreal quality and flavour. Only disappointment was they had run out of some of the burgers the first day. The cheesecake was phenomenal too and the staff are so lovely. Highly recommended.
Doppelgänger was always 10/10 but I think they improved their recipe to 13/10. Everything was absolutely delicious! Their flavours as always so unique.. I mean where else will you get kimchi loaded fries? We’re definitely coming back to Cambridge just to eat here!

Since switching diets 3yrs ago I have struggled to find a really good vegan burger place in the UK, but the standard has always been set very high as my first experiance was at "vegan junk food" in Amsterdam.
I read reviews about places get excited... go and come away disappointed. Tonight I met an old work mate short notice in Cambridge. Looked for someone we could eat convinced him to go vegan tonight as he also had been to vegan junk food with me.
It's a small place with relaxed/cool feel to it. You sit at your table and view and order your food by a touch screen. Very easy to use and works very well. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The food... Everything is plant based. The food came out, looked like the images on the screen good start. I had the "this isn't Bob" burger. It looked and smelt good. I took a bite... Taste sensation! It's was really good like really good. Pete was blown away that something plant based could taste so good. Puddings amazing to!!
Can't wait to come back and explore the menu more!!
Went to try this burger joint after reading the reviews and it did not disappoint. I ordered the bun-less hot chirpy, quack balls and mush balls as a side, while my partner ordered the bun-less bbk. The hot chirpy had a medium texture making it easy to cut and the ranch sauce was refreshing. Not spicy enough for me, but I think that's a personal preference. I personally liked the quack balls because they were firmer in texture than the mush balls (although they were also good in flavor).
I can't wait to back again and try the other burger options.
Vegan burger place with great taste and best fries.
The place serves all things vegan. It's not just meat-free but extraordinary tasty too! I had a burger and chips which were all great. Other things they offered but I have yet tried include milkshakes, brownies and assorted topped chips.
The place has a few outdoors seating and some few indoors. The service were lovely too.
