Casino
Casinos & Gambling
The Casino de Monte-Carlo is an elegant Beaux-Arts building that has gained fame through its appearances in film and literature. It offers upscale casino gaming, including blackjack, baccarat, roulette, and slot machines. The casino is housed in a stunningly majestic 1800s building with turrets and cupolas that give it the appearance of a palace.
Visit before 12:00 and you can walk around the rooms listing to the audio guide for €20 per adult. It’s an amazing place to visit even if you are not gambling. If you wish to gamble you can return after 14:00 and access again or just turn up after 14:00. You will need a passport to access even when there’s no gaming. Enjoy a meal or a drink at the bar it’s a fantastic atmosphere.

Words don’t do this place justice. I was absolutely blown away by the beauty of the architecture and internal design on the ceilings. Honestly it gets better the further in you explore. We opted to get a Casino ticket to have a look around and had a bit of fun on the slot machines. I just couldn’t stop looking up at the ceiling. The designs are honestly beautiful. It’s definitely worth seeing if you like a visual feast.
Sean G — Google review
It is a lovely and well decorated place. Yet, they have a 20€ entry fee which is completely ridiculous. They trade on their reputation. I have been to dozens of casinos in different parts of the world that have fine art, beautul decor, and they welcome you without a tourist fee. There are lots of slot machines which definitely detract from the ambiance. The views in Monte Carlos lovely.
Mike L — Google review
I only spend few minutes in front and got what I came for. Many nice cars passing around ! Just be careful not to block them and be respectful. The casino is also very beautiful from the outside, I haven’t tried my luck to go in.
Laurent F — Google review
A famous casino where many luxury cars are often parked in the plaza. To enter the main lobby, there’s a simple bag check. Inside, you’ll find a service counter — appropriate attire, a passport, and the minimum exchange amount for chips are required to enter the casino. The souvenir shop inside the lobby is also worth a visit. Good luck. 🎰

Nestled in the heart of Monaco, the Casino de Monte-Carlo is an iconic establishment that exudes elegance, luxury, and charm. Built in 1863, this architectural masterpiece continues to captivate visitors with its opulent interiors and world-class gaming experience. As you step into the grand lobby, you are greeted by a stunning atrium adorned with marble floors, ornate pillars, and a breathtaking chandelier. The ambiance transports you to an era of old-world glamour, reminiscent of James Bond films and high society gatherings. The casino boasts a variety of gaming options, including approximately 140 gaming tables featuring Blackjack, Poker, Baccarat, and Roulette. Both traditional and modern slot machines are available, ensuring there's something for every type of player. For those seeking higher stakes, exclusive gaming rooms cater to elite clientele. The staff at Casino de Monte-Carlo are professional and friendly, ensuring your experience is both enjoyable and memorable. Whether you're a seasoned gambler or simply looking to immerse yourself in the lavish atmosphere, the Casino de Monte-Carlo is a must-visit destination when in Monaco. Overall, the Casino de Monte-Carlo lives up to its reputation as a premier gaming establishment. Its elegant ambiance, top-notch gaming options, and attentive staff combine to create an unforgettable experience for all who visit.

It is very luxury place and The Casino de Monte-Carlo is a legendary entertainment complex known for its opulent Belle Époque architecture. Designed by Charles Garnier, who also created the Paris Opera, it features stunning frescoes, sculptures, and gaming rooms. Since its 1863 opening, the casino's success was pivotal in solidifying Monaco's wealth, allowing Prince Charles III to eliminate taxes for residents. The complex also includes the prestigious Opéra de Monte-Carlo. Immortalized in James Bond films like GoldenEye, the venue remains a glamorous destination, though Monaco citizens are forbidden from gambling inside.
Niraj K — Google review
It was an experience. Absolutely stunning architecture all over. So grand inside. A must visit place if in Monaco. The entire casino is so special. Monegasques are forbidden to enter , work or gamble here. Designed by the famous architect of the Paris Opera. Foreigners just need to pay a fee of Euro 20 ... 10 euro entrance fee and 10 euro voucher for a drink or u cud use the voucher to gamble. Please dress smart to enter. We did however win 11 euro just for fun. The building will be lighted up at sunset. Which makes nice photography shots. Also many beautiful supercars parked in front to add to yr beautiful photos. Remember to list this place in your bucket list.

Café de Paris Monte-Carlo is an elegant brasserie with art nouveau-style decor and a spacious terrace. The establishment recently celebrated its 150th anniversary with a renovation overseen by the renowned Moinard Betaille firm, known for their work at prestigious venues such as Relais Plaza Athenee and Fondation Cartier.
Café de Paris – Monte Carlo Absolutely loved my time at this iconic spot in Monte Carlo. The moment you sit down, you feel the buzz of Monaco — elegance, history, and people-watching at its finest. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and paired perfectly with the atmosphere. 🌟 Tip: Make a reservation ahead of time — this café is always full, and for good reason. Next time you’re in Monte Carlo, don’t just walk by — stop, sit, sip, and soak it in. A must-experience, whether for a meal, a coffee, or just to feel the heartbeat of the city. - Michelle

I’ve been coming here every few years since childhood and the experience has stayed remarkably consistent. The service is attentive and professional, though at times it can feel a little formal. Portions are far more generous than you’d expect for a place in the heart of Monte Carlo dishes come out looking grand and are plated with style. The onion soup was one of the best and one plate of tiramisu probably can be for 6 people. Although food is good it’s not somewhere you come for culinary surprises, but rather for the atmosphere, the setting on the square, and the sense of tradition
Mert E — Google review
I am impressed for both atmosphere and taste of food. We took oysters and salmon steak. Especially salmon steak had a special sauce with lemon and coconut which was impressive - I kept continue to eat the sauce with bread. Special attention to oysters, I would expect to have them cut and able to slide in sauce but it was not. It is also kids friendly - they have different main dishes + deserts option for the kids younger than 12. My daughter loved the beef steak and ice cream. Service was also kind and friendly. If you are in Monaco, this is the place to visit and eat once at least :)

Had an absolute wonderful time having lunch here! The food tasted amazing, would recommend the octopus and the tender pork loin. The service was great too and this restaurant has a beautiful ambience! Must try out this restaurant if you’re ever in Monaco!!

Cafe de Paris enjoys a truly fabulous location, right in the heart of the casino district. Sitting outside is a unique experience, where you can people-watch and admire the parade of luxury cars passing by. However, note that the outdoor area only offers café service, and on hot days you may need to wait quite a while to get a table. Inside, the atmosphere is air-conditioned and very luxurious, but during peak season it can get extremely crowded — sometimes it takes around 15 minutes just to place an order or get service from a waiter. The food itself is decent, tasty enough, but nothing particularly exceptional or memorable. At the end of the day, what you are really paying for here is the glamorous design and the unbeatable location.
Melisa S — Google review
My husband and I dined here when visiting Monaco. We dined inside of the restaurant, the decor is beautiful and truly gives you that luxurious experience. There is a patio area outside with a separate menu. Everything we ordered was delicious, we had zero complaints. Our waiter was attentive and our food came out in a timely manner. We will visit again when visiting Monaco.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely stunning place! Cafe de Paris didn’t disappoint from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed at the door and even allowed to choose the table we wanted. The desserts and coffee were absolutely delicious, and the view and atmosphere were just amazing. The staff were so friendly and kind—made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

Garden
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Monte Carlo, the Princess Grace Japanese Garden is a tranquil escape that beautifully marries traditional Japanese landscaping with Mediterranean charm. Spanning around 7,000 square meters, this serene oasis was crafted by esteemed landscape architect Yasuo Beppu and opened its doors in 1994. Visitors can wander along picturesque paths that wind around a peaceful pond adorned with koi fish, cross charming bridges, and find solace in a quaint tea house.
A calm and peaceful park in the heart of Monaco. It is very serene and you can relax walking through the garden. A few years ago the garden used to offer spectacular sea views, but sadly newly constructed buildings have blocked this view.

Princess Grace Japanese Garden is a peaceful and beautifully designed place in Monaco. The mix of water, trees, and traditional Japanese style creates a relaxing atmosphere. A perfect spot to take a walk, enjoy nature, and escape the busy city for a while.”
Mohamed E — Google review
🍃 Japanese Garden, Monaco – A living poem of peace and balance The Japanese Garden in Monaco is one of those places where time seems to slow down. Everything here — the water, the stones, the bridges, the sound of the wind — feels perfectly balanced. It’s a small sanctuary right in the heart of the city, yet it holds the calm of a mountain temple. Every path seems to tell a story. The koi fish move gracefully in the pond, the bamboo rustles softly, and the reflections of the trees shimmer like thoughts passing through the mind. This garden isn’t meant to be rushed — it’s meant to be felt. If you love mindfulness, design, or simply need a pause from the city’s rhythm, this is the place to visit. Spend a few minutes sitting by the water, breathe deeply, and you’ll feel how peace naturally returns to you. I’ve visited many meditation spaces, but the Japanese Garden in Monaco has a unique vibration — it’s not just beauty you see, it’s serenity you feel. 🍃✨
Maka M — Google review
Nice garden but never expected the water to be so dirty. I entered coz I knew that there would or should be a good collection of koi’s, which are present in every Japanese garden. But was totally disappointed.. come to my house & see the kois you will love them. I have put one video of my kois too the clean pond is mine… please check. The stone lay outs I liked & the stand for birds to bathe is beautiful too. But sadly not Japanese way of cleanliness.

Le Jardin Japonais is one of the most peaceful spots in Monaco. It’s not very large, but it’s incredibly well maintained and beautifully arranged — every detail feels intentional. The mix of water, stones, plants, and wooden bridges creates a truly calming atmosphere. You can hear the sound of the water, watch the koi fish, and just take a quiet moment away from the busy city. It’s also a lovely place for photos or a short, refreshing walk. A perfect little escape in the heart of Monaco — serene, elegant, and full of charm. Definitely worth a visit!

Fine dining restaurant
Restaurant
Pavyllon Monte-Carlo, a restaurant created by Yannick Alleno, offers a unique dining experience that combines the finest gastronomic dishes with a focus on healthy eating and well-being. The restaurant's terrace provides stunning panoramic views of Port Hercule and the Rock. Situated at Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, Pavyllon showcases modernity and excellence in Monaco's fine dining scene.
Pavyllon is a beautiful fine dining restaurant in the heart of Monaco. Located within the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, to access the restaurant, you go in the main doors of the hotel where one of the attendants will ask your reason for visit and take you to the restaurant. If someone does not come up to you, the hallway that takes you to Pavyllon is on the right side of the atrium. The restaurant decor is beautiful. It is a chic aesthetic that is immaculately clean. They have an open kitchen so if you are seated at the bar, you have a front row seat to their preparation. There is also a patio which is available weather-permitting and has a great ambiance. The bathrooms are extremely clean and quite fancy. We ordered the set menu for lunch which comprised of a cooked foie gras salad, a beautiful traditional trouchia, steamed sea bass with Japanese flavours, lamb chops with a shiso coulis and candied orange with mascarpone ice cream for dessert. The food was unbelievable! The trouchia was absolutely stunning in its presentation. It was one of the prettiest dishes I’ve seen and it was almost difficult to eat because it was like eating a piece of art! Flavour-wise, everything was delicious. The lamb was juicy and the accompanying sauce was a perfect complement. This dining experience was top notch. The ambiance was upscale, the service was exceptional and the food was amazing. We would love to come back the next time we are in Monaco!

My evening at Pavyllon Monte-Carlo was nothing short of extraordinary. Even though I arrived a bit late for my reservation, the warmth and attentiveness of the staff made me feel instantly welcome, setting the tone for a truly memorable dining experience. Opting for the chef’s menu turned out to be an inspired choice. It allowed me to indulge in a unique variety of dishes I may not have otherwise selected, each one crafted with meticulous precision and bursting with bold, harmonious flavors. Every plate was an incredible culinary delight, reflecting both innovation and refined technique. Beyond the exceptional food, the staff’s thoughtfulness and accommodating nature truly stood out. Whether offering to retrieve my purse from the restroom or capturing a few photos for me at the end of the meal, their genuine hospitality elevated the experience far beyond just fine dining—it felt personal, effortless, and beautifully curated. The restaurant’s location, overlooks the sea and the iconic Formula 1 race track, which provided an unforgettable backdrop that enhanced every moment, making the evening feel as special as the setting itself. For those seeking an exquisite blend of culinary artistry, unparalleled service, and a stunning ambiance, Pavyllon Monte-Carlo is the perfect destination. A truly unforgettable gastronomic journey!

Lovely restaurant inside the Hermitage Hotel. Has a large outdoor balcony that overlooks all of Monte Carlo’s harbor. Food is Mediterranean and is quite good with a nice variety. I had the Foul And my wife had the Lamb. Service was good and the waitstaff was Very attentive and friendly. For a Michelin Star restaurant and its location we found the prices to be very reasonable. Would certainly eat here again
Adam C — Google review
The food was too heavy for me that I felt sick. The opening course of the amuse-bouche was pretty good, and so was the bread. The crab appetizer was surprising and had really fun textures. The pasta with peas tasted really weird, it was almost like vinegary. After the seabass course with the almond milk I felt so nauseated the food felt too filling that I was feeling sick. They kept on serving me food that was way too thick, creamy, and filling that by the lamb course, I felt I wanted to throw up just smelling it. I usually always try to finish my food or at least try a bite during tasting menus. I had a taste of the mashed potato and it was okay but at that point I was close to gagging I couldn’t even try the lamb. They still served me both the desserts even though I told them I couldn’t do it anymore. On the way out to the restaurant I was gagging and I threw up in the bathroom (and cried obviously because I spent my hard earned money to feel sick). I was solo dining and I really had my hopes up. I wish the waiters were more attentive because I came out of this restaurant paying 288 USD just to feel so nauseated, sick and to throw up. There was no lightness/freshness between the dishes. Maybe I’ll come back in a couple years if they change their menu and it looks like there’s more balance. Other than that, the ambience was nice with the open view and the open kitchen — but it was too noisy at one point I couldn’t hear the servers describing the dish to me and whenever I told them anything they couldn’t hear properly.
Liesl A — Google review
We went for dinner without a reservation, even though reservations are highly recommended. Despite this, the management went out of their way to accommodate us, which we truly appreciated. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning. the terrace overlooks a beautiful bay filled with luxury yachts. overall ambiance and aesthetics are simply unmatched. Both the food and the service were excellent. We tried several different dishes, and everything was delicious. The shrimp tartare stood out as my personal favorite. A memorable dining experience from start to finish.

Pavyllon Monte-Carlo. A one‑Michelin‑star restaurant by Chef Yannick Alléno in Hermitage Hotel in Monte Carlo. The restaurant features an open kitchen with a tasting‑counter. The garden patio with a view of the sea is a bonus when with our permits. In terms of food, the offering is French cuisine using innovative methods like cold extraction. Desserts were excellent and not heavy on sugar.

French restaurant
Quai des Artistes is a charming restaurant located at Monaco's Hercule port, offering stunning views of the bustling harbor. The menu features delectable seafood dishes and classic French fare. Guests can choose to dine in the ornate indoor spaces or on the outdoor terrace overlooking the port. Despite its popularity, the restaurant maintains a relaxed atmosphere and provides excellent service.
Our dinner was absolutely delicious. The gamba (black tiger) was so big, almost like a lobster. It was cooked perfectly. We also had liver, ravioli, and fish soup. They gave us free warm bread with nice crispy crust. Everything was so tasty. The service was excellent! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They spoke English very well. The menu is on an expensive side, but this is what you expect for Monaco and it was totally worth it.

Well, lunch at Quai des Artistes was another level. Truly exceptional service, unbelievably gorgeous food, (that was far more than just a Club sandwich...), in an iconic location, and with a couple Formula 1 World Champions on a nearby table, (they were good enough not to come over and disturb us 😉). Not a bad way to spend lunchtime on your wedding anniversary...

Never could thought that tomato can be so tasty! Food was amazing, place is very nice and service was good though could be bit better. I would go there again.
Violeta B — Google review
We dined at a fabulous table on the Quai, looking out at Port Hercule. The location and view on the terrace is very difficult to beat. As always, the seafood was great - the oyster tasting platter, Malaysian prawns and King Crab come highly recommended. The mains were also very good - I particularly enjoyed the rib eye steak which was cooked perfectly. For desert the Mille-Feuille was nice but a little underwhelming. However the ice cream received good feedback! We experienced a couple of small issues with the service - the waiter brought out my fiancées cold main after the rest of the table who had ordered hot mains. They then also forgot her side of vegetables which took around 5 minutes to arrive which by then she was already halfway through her meal. And when they did finally arrive there was no hint of an apology! This same waiter also made it plain that a tip was expected upon handing over the bill, going as far to advise a percentage. We always leave a tip - there’s no need to be direct and cheeky about it especially as his service was far from flawless. Everybody else’s service however was great - especially the helpful moustached front of house/manager who confirmed our booking! The food is great, an excellent location and at a reasonable price point for Monaco - we will return.
Ben H — Google review
The service was excellent and we loved the decor. The portions were larger than we expected and we would have liked the option of a half portion so we would have room for dessert 😊. I had the lamb shank with mashed potatoes. The lamb was delicious but the potatoes could have been fluffier. The gluten-free bread was very good.
Patricia T — Google review
We ate here in the evening of June 10th, 2025. The service was perfect, the view was great, and the live DJ played excellent music. However, after returning to the hotel a few hours later that night, I suffered from food poisoning. I couldn’t eat or do anything the entire next day. It was so sad, as I really liked the service. But the food poisoning ruined the experience for me — so only one star. :(
Mstu C — Google review
Great food, I even had the best ravioli I ever had! Very kind staff, and good vibes. Only improvement I have is that it would have been nice if there were heaters at the terrace because it was a bit cold in the evening.
M. O — Google review
Tucked away among superyachts on the quai is a delightful stop for very good dining in a beautiful setting for traditional French cuisine. The service was perfect, the food was delicious, and a truly great escape from the noise at the Monte Carlo square/Ferraris/Porsches/ and Lamborghinis and hundreds of selfies. Makes the visit to this mecca a real treat.
