Colline du Château, also known as Castle Hill, is a historic hilltop park in Nice that offers breathtaking views of the city and the sea. The climb up the stone steps to this hill is short but rewarding, with turquoise coasts and apricot-colored roofs spreading out before you as you ascend. From the summit, you can enjoy grand vistas of the Old Port with its yachts and sails, as well as distant views of the snow-dusted peaks of the Alps.
We reached the top by cart. The road itself is beautiful, the nature and remains that we saw prepared us for the view and the pigeons, wonderful, white ones. The view of the place is fantastic, and a large part of the park is left for children and adults to enjoy freely. A great place to spend the day. The view of the waterfall, from above, leaves an unusual impression. It may take a bit of sanding, but the experience is unforgettable.
Ana F — Google review
Wonderful place and totally worth the climb! Tip: go in the morning, the sun hits the hill on the other side. You will get better views and will avoid the crowds. Also, if you go in summer, it's way cooler!
Christie B — Google review
Coming here in the rain turned out to be an excellent idea — there were almost no people around, and the views were still amazing. A bunch of viewpoints overlooking the city and the sea, walking trails, waterfalls, parks… it feels like someone was playing a video game and packed everything into one place. A beautiful experience.
Filip P — Google review
The Colline du Château is also known as Castle Hill. It has several ideal lookouts / viewpoints from where you can see the best views of Nice. At the top there is even a terrace with a couple of benches, occasionally with a musician - there was a drummer when we were there. In addition to many scenic walks and viewpoints, there is also a waterfall, archeological ruins, playgrounds for children, and a cafe. It’s hard to miss seeing the Colline du Château from the famous Promenade d’Anglais and whether ascending either by steps on one side or a ramp on the other, it’s worth the effort. Spend an hour or the day as there are plenty of public restrooms and a couple of snack kiosks. Highly recommend!
Nanita — Google review
Parc de la Colline du Château ended up being one of my favorite spots in Nice. The park is absolutely beautiful—lush pathways, peaceful corners, and some of the best panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean. Whether you hike up, take the stairs, or use the elevator, the views at the top are completely worth it. I loved wandering around the ruins, the gardens, and the waterfall area. It’s the perfect place to take a break from the busier streets below and just soak in the scenery. The mix of history and nature gives the whole park a calm, charming vibe. Overall, Parc de la Colline du Château is a must-visit when in Nice—great for photos, relaxing walks, and unbeatable views of the coastline and Old Town.
Dee G — Google review
Stunning views as everyone else said. There are shaded areas with some lovely views where you can relax and enjoy the moment with a gentle breeze. Small tip: bring a water bottle with you since there are a couple of green water taps around. Otherwise, water costs 3 euros from the food place nearby.
Ege D — Google review
Colline du Château offers the quintessential Nice experience! Ascending to the top rewards you with arguably the most spectacular panoramic views of the Baie des Anges, the bustling port, and the terracotta rooftops of Vieux Nice. The waterfall is a delightful surprise, and the park itself is a perfect, peaceful escape from the city's energy. A must-visit spot for breathtaking scenery and a moment of calm reflection!
Katarzyna N — Google review
Amazing view point for Nice and a good day out for sure! There is a lift you can take to the top of the hill which definitely improves the accessibility. It is decently busy (but what else would you expect). Upon my visit there was 2 people I encountered who seemed to be a little pushy to get people to take pictures with their Doves in exchange for money.

Flea & Street Markets
Marché Aux Fleurs - Cours Saleya - Nice is a long-standing outdoor market known for its fresh flowers, local produce, and food products. Located in Nice's old quarter on the pedestrianized main street of Cours Saleya, this market operates daily except for Mondays when it transforms into a flea market.
Quite a small market. Closes early (1 pm) but beautiful smells and colours. Lots of other stuff there too, like some cheese, fruits and veg, oils, mushrooms etc.
Alan R — Google review
If you're visiting Nice, start your Riviera food journey at the iconic Cours Saleya Flower Market. It’s not your average market — it’s a full sensory experience and one of the most authentic places to sample local flavors. Wandering through the colorful stalls, we were instantly drawn in by the scent of fresh blooms and sizzling street food. We tried socca, a crispy chickpea pancake hot off the griddle — warm, slightly smoky, perfectly salted. An absolute must. Just around the corner, we discovered a sweet surprise: a tiny tart with caramelized peanuts and salted butter caramel that was honestly unforgettable. Though it’s not a sit-down restaurant, Cours Saleya is a food lover’s paradise. Locals mix with visitors, the vibe is laid-back and lively, and everything feels real and rooted in the culture of the South of France. Whether you're grabbing a bite or just taking in the atmosphere, this spot is worth every minute.
Lifeguin — Google review
A must see when in Nice! You have to try the SOCCA first round at 9am! But be ready for a long queue waiting for that local speciality. We stayed for 4 days in Nice in a Appartment and went every morning to the market to have freshly made fruit or vegetable juice and some freshly made Bakeries or the famous SOCCA. You can find anything there from fresh foods till souvenirs and paintings. The supplier are friendly and not intrusive. A must see and try when in Nice!!!

Such a charming market in the heart of Nice’s old town! You’ll find everything here — from fresh fruits and veggies to colorful flowers and quirky little souvenirs like butterfly and lizard decorations (so uniquely Nice!). The local spices are a treat for the senses, and the variety of cactus plants is surprisingly impressive. Don’t miss out on the fresh juices — they’re the perfect refreshment under the sunny Mediterranean sky. A must-visit when you’re in Nice!

I spent a lovely morning at the Marché aux Fleurs – Cours Saleya. The vibrant mix of flowers, local produce, and friendly vendors creates a charming, sensory experience. Even with the steady flow of people, it felt calm and welcoming. I paused often just to take in the colors and scents—such a relaxed and beautiful way to begin the day.

I have to tell you about guy that on the evening sells handmade lamps Morgan. He is making lamps from pumpkins in all shape and forms for 40 years from when he was 15 years old. I wanted a present for my brother in law who had a birthday and also that he has nice souvenir from Niece. Morgan even offered to engrave me what yi wanted and it came out great. I will atach pictures and videos so you can see what I am talking about. Morgan I wish all the best in life you made our evening. 👍

Fontaine du Soleil, also known as the Sun Fountain, is a famous landmark located at Place Massena in Nice. The fountain features a large marble statue of Apollo at its center, surrounded by bronze sculptures representing Earth, Mars, Mercury, Saturn, and Venus. Created by Alfred Auguste Janniot and inaugurated in 1956, this sculpture pays homage to Greek mythology and the sunlight of Nice. It serves as a popular meeting spot for visitors and offers opportunities for people-watching.
The fountain of Apollo is a landmark of Nice, featured on numerous souvenir items. The impressive statue of Apollo carried four small horses like a crown - which led to the local joke of a 'four horsepower' (4DC). The fountain matches the elegant surroundings.
Beat S — Google review
I passed by the Fontaine du Soleil in Place Masséna and was struck by its elegance. The central marble statue of Apollo, surrounded by bronze figures representing the planets, creates a harmonious and timeless scene. The gentle sound of flowing water adds to the tranquil atmosphere, making it a pleasant spot to pause and appreciate the artistry. Especially captivating at night when illuminated, it's a peaceful and picturesque corner of Nice.

It really doesn't get much more beautiful than this area. Every where you look you are embraced with art. There is plenty of places to sit and relax. The backdrop is the gorgeous French rivera. The statue of Apollo is incredible

An impressive statue and fountain that brings life to the heart of Nice. Apollo stands proudly, surrounded by deities and flowing water that create a magical atmosphere. A perfect spot for photos and to feel a touch of Greek mythology in the French Riviera.

Fontaine du Soleil can be found at one end of Place Masséna in Nice. The Greek god Apollo stands in the center of the fountain that separates old Nice from the newer Nice. This eye catching fountain is hard to miss and is worth passing by on the way to or from the waterfront.
Nanita — Google review
The Fontaine du Soleil in Nice is a prominent landmark in the city of Nice, with the main element that attracts attention being the large statue of Apollo. Around the fountain, which was inaugurated in 1956, are seven small bronze statues representing the planets. The monument is located in a large square next to the light rail line that operates in the city and next to the flower, fruit and vegetable market and not far from the beach.

Centre Commercial NICETOILE is a popular and revered boulevard in Nice, offering a romantic coastal vibe with breathtaking views of the Alps. It is a main attraction in the city, attracting water sports enthusiasts, thrill seekers, and honeymooners who come to enjoy the warm atmosphere. The area features beautiful restaurants, vibrant bars, and ice cream stalls where visitors can indulge in French delicacies.
I like this mall with perfect location and very clean. Security and other staff were friendly, greets the customers. There are many stores where you can buy gifts and stuff. As well as many restaurants and cafes with different options. I came several times and feel want to come again. Thanks to everyone in this beautiful mall.
Ahlam A — Google review
I'm sharing my recent experience at this mall to help others make informed decisions. My visit on June 21st, between 3-4 PM, after lunch and some shopping, involved an unfortunate incident at the 4th-floor paying toilets. My husband and I both paid for access with our credit cards. As I entered the female toilet area and chose a cabin, a cleaning staff member (identifiable by black hair, middle-aged) unexpectedly opened my cabin door while I was entering. She then accused me in French of not paying for the service. I was surprised and immediately showed her the payment confirmation on my phone (€0.60). She then quickly went into the male toilet area without acknowledging my proof of payment. Still in shock, I waited for her to reappear to clarify the situation. When she emerged, she continued to assert that I hadn't paid before again disappearing. At this point, another cleaning staff member (blond hair, middle-aged) appeared. I showed her my receipt, and she questioned where I had entered, stating they hadn't seen me pay. I then proceeded to use the toilet. My husband, who had been waiting outside, returned upon hearing what had transpired. He requested the second cleaning staff member to locate the first woman so we could receive an apology. When this did not happen, and he perceived a disrespectful attitude, the situation escalated verbally. The second staff member then left to alert security. Six security personnel arrived and surrounded my husband. They accused him of physical intimidation, which was untrue. They did not seem interested in understanding the initial incident that led to the verbal exchange. They prevented my husband from leaving the toilet area and began to make accusations, seemingly without full information. During this time, the first cleaning staff member remained out of sight. The security team mentioned checking CCTV footage, which my husband encouraged them to do, noting it would confirm both our payment and the absence of any physical altercation. The security staff then shifted their accusations, claiming we were violent and aggressive towards staff, and even suggested the first cleaning staff member was afraid to leave the male toilets because of my husband. Ultimately, we received no apology for the initial false accusation. We felt we were unfairly portrayed as the aggressors for raising our voices in response to the situation. The initial incident with the cleaning staff member was unprofessional, and the subsequent handling by the security team was unhelpful and seemed to lack a clear understanding of the events. I am very disappointed by this experience. I believe there is a need for better staff training in customer service and conflict resolution to prevent similar situations from occurring.

Restaurant's on level -1, but toilets for 0,60c on the level 2. No banches or chairs or rest area. 🤔 Stores....nothing special.
VESNA M — Google review
Good sized shopping mall, has 4 floors, plus 2 parking floors. Being already in the center of a busy shopping street makes this mall a little unnecessary maybe. Probably gets crowded during rainy days, and very hot days. I saw many vacant stores. Foodcourt is on the lower level.
Yusuf D — Google review
Whenever I visit Nice I have to pay a visit to this shopping mall. A great variety of brands, styles, and products. It feels like it has something for everybody. Nicely designed and perfectly located. Thanks to this mall I had the chance to discover some brands and stores.
Larbi L — Google review
The best thing about this small mall is the location and it's parking which is open 24/7. You can accessc the parking from the outside at all times, but you will need your parking ticket for that. The mall it self closes at 20:00, most of the shops close 19:30. It's a small mall with a strange mix of shops, a lot of small jewelry/watch, bags and skin care shops, plus other regular ones and spme cafés. We used the mall more for parking because the main entrance is on a street where you have a lot of big brand shops just a short walk away.

Nice Cathedral, also known as Cathedrale Sainte Reparate, is a stunning Baroque cathedral located in the heart of Old Town. Built in the late 17th century on the foundations of a parish church, it features a graceful Baroque style that blends seamlessly with its surroundings. The cathedral houses paintings, three organs, and an altar containing the remains of St. Reparata.
Already beatifull on the outside, but the inside of the cathedral is absolutely magnificent. Really nice design with gold touches everywhere you look. Definetly worth giving a visit. Just infront is a small square where you can have a lunch with a magnificent view

The cathedral’s magnificent exterior and impressive interior are captivating, making it a must-visit for anyone interested in history and culture. The quiet ambiance adds to the sense of peace, allowing visitors to truly appreciate its beauty and significance. An unforgettable landmark that enriches the city’s charm – highly recommended for a visit.

Cathedral design in baroque architectural style. Relic of Sainte-Reparate housed within. The interior is also decorated in the baroque style. The dome vault is huge & so is the pipe organ of the Cathedral. My wife & I went for service there on Mother's Day. Mass Service was listed as 9am, 1030am, noon, The 1030am service started at 11am! Service was late, but the ceremony was beautiful.😇 Worth visiting, the organ music alone made the service outstanding!🙏

One of the first things to do after having icecreams at Fenocchio is to enter this Baroque cathedral in Place Rossetti. Established in 1699 and elevated to the status of Basilica in 1949, it houses the relics of St. Reparate, a woman martyred in Palestine, whose remains were brought to Nice in 1060. With 10 highly decorated chapels and an 11th one for baptism, this place of worship will easily take you 30-40 mins to admire if not more. Beware that churches here close at 6 PM, so try to enter atleast an hour earlier to beat the late afternoon crowds.

Cathédrale Sainte-Réparate de Nice is average when it comes to aesthetics (compared to other similar buildings). Entrance is free and it is well kept. Ok to stopp in for a moment if you’re already in the area.

I found Cathédrale Sainte-Réparate while exploring Old Nice, and it truly stopped me in my tracks. The Baroque interior is stunning golden details, calm light, and a deep sense of peace. It’s not large, but it’s full of soul and history. I’m glad I stepped inside.

The Cathédrale Sainte-Réparate de Nice is a beautiful example of Baroque architecture located in the heart of Nice’s Old Town. Its richly decorated interior, with elegant columns, golden details, and stunning frescoes, creates a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. The exterior may seem modest compared to other cathedrals in France, but once inside, the beauty and craftsmanship are truly impressive. The cathedral is not very large, which makes it feel intimate and inviting. It’s a perfect place to take a quiet break from the busy streets of Nice and admire the art and history that the city has to offer.

Pôp-ô-thym is a charming spot located in the old town amidst the flower market in Nice. It offers an extensive selection of sweet and savory crepes, including gluten-free options. The venue has garnered praise for its friendly service and English-speaking staff. Visitors have raved about the delicious crepes, with recommendations such as the 'Metisse' featuring Nutella, white chocolate, and flaked almonds.
We stumbled upon the Bistro after the other options was had in mind was closed. The caramel banana pancakes were so flavorful and fluffy. The bananas had a rich banana flavor and the juices we ordered did not disappoint. The fried eggs were fried to perfection and had great flavor. The portions were perfect and you get what you pay for. Our server was pleasant and attentive.

So good that we visited twice! The first visit we got the truffle crepes, which were delightful. The dessert pancakes were delicious too! Customer service was excellent, and the vibes were immaculate. Lots of good gluten free options too!

For a quick breakfast or brunch this place doesn't disappoint. With so many options we had difficulty choosing, so we went with the brunch combo that came with coffee, juice, pancakes and avocado toast. Everything was fresh and full of flavor, and there were options available for each component too. Centered on the market street in old town, it's a great option if you want something close to the Promenade or the nearby viewpoint.

Amazing brunch options, great food for people with gluten and dairy allergies or sensitivity. Lots of vegan options available too. Really enjoyed the breakfast/brunch i had. Service was excellent. The truffle scrambled eggs were phenomenal. The staff was very sharp and kind too. Really appreciate her hard work and intelligence.

We are visited POPOTE BISTROT for a late breakfast/early lunch, but unfortunately, our experience with the service was quite disappointing. When we first walked in, we were still looking around for a table and hadn’t decided where to sit. At that moment, a waiter came up and, instead of greeting us politely, simply waved his finger and said “No, no,” in a rather unfriendly manner. We thought maybe it was our mistake for walking in before being seated, so we didn’t mind too much at first. After finding a table, we looked through the menu and closed it once we were ready to order. We waited for a while, but no one came. When we finally waved and said “Excuse me,” the same waiter turned around and responded with “Hello, hello” in a dismissive tone. We smiled politely and said we wanted to order, but his reply was, “Can’t you see I have many customers right now? I’ll do my best.” We felt that a simple “Please wait a moment” would have been much kinder and more professional. When it was time to place our order, the waiter spoke very quickly and seemed impatient, almost as if we were bothering him. This was our first time in this restaurant, so it was not easy to follow. The food, once served, was somewhat cold, though we didn’t expect too much at that point. In the end, however, the person who came to handle the bill was a different staff member, and he was very polite and friendly. Even when the card machine didn’t work right away, he apologized sincerely and thanked us for visiting, which left a slightly better impression at the end of our meal. Overall, while one staff member was kind, our experience with the main servers felt unwelcoming and unprofessional.
Atiporn N — Google review
So delicious, quick, fresh, and the team is very friendly! The owner was walking around checking on tables and greeting everyone! You have a great view of the market right in front of you. It’s great people watching. If you’re looking for a delicious bite, bring your friends and family here.

Nestled in the vibrant Old Town, Lu Fran Calin is a must-visit for anyone eager to indulge in authentic Cuisine Nissarde. This charming eatery, owned by rugby enthusiast Daniel, offers a delightful array of local dishes that truly capture the essence of Nice. From the rich 24-hour braised beef in red wine sauce to comforting courgette gratin topped with pesto and cheese, every bite tells a story.
Delicious traditional nicois dishes in a great location! Artichoke stew was a stunner - we were looking for something with a little less oil after overeating soccas for lunch. For mains we had the gnocchi with beef stew (AMAZING) and the beef ravioli with beef stew sauce (also very good!). For dessert we had the creme brûlée which had orange blossom infused. I would personally prefer the original/ unflavoured and the creme brûlée a little softer but it was still good. The chocolate hazelnut lava cake on the other hand was warm and gooey, crispy on the outside, not too sweet. Ice cream that came with it could’ve been more rich/ premium but was still fine. Service was adequate - the pace was okay, not fast or rushed, not too slow either. The staff were friendly and gave a good wine suggestion in English. They could have a few more smiles though and it would have been nice if they were open even earlier although 7:30pm isn’t too bad! Prices were great for the meal by the way. Couldn’t get better for a memorable meal in Nice.
Sindy T — Google review
After we were seated, we had to wait for around 15 min for the order to be taken. the manager (we assume that she was the manager) made the occupancy of the seats in the patio asymmetrically, and when we asked her to take our order, she said she is not responsible for this half of patio, which was a little bit not serious, because there was only one waiter who was on this half. We gave up the desserts because the time someone would take our next order was far too long. The ravioli with beef and Gorgonzola was really nice, but the Zucchini casserole was below expectations. Could be much better.

First of all you cant get only one dish if there are two persons, than you cant get tap water with ice because apparently they are short on ice so only if you get bottled flask you can get cold water. Waited for food a bit long for my taste. The dishes werent really of good taste and I would say it was canteen quality.

Italian restaurant
Pizza restaurant
Attimi is a popular dining spot in Nice, known for its rustic-chic and relaxed ambiance with street views from its terrace. The restaurant specializes in salads, pizzas, and pastas made from local produce. It's recommended to reserve a table or dine early due to its popularity. Attimi is praised for serving some of the best pizzas in Nice, importing ingredients directly from Italy and using organic flour for their dough.
Food and service was absolutely superb! The portion size for a city centre restaurant was huge. All staff were attentive and polite. If you are ever in Nice, make sure you eat here

Very good pizza. Had a margherita pizza to share. The crust is thin. Very delicious and authentic. If you don’t have time to visit Italy when you are in nice, go here for a meal
Brian Y — Google review
By far the worst pizza we’ve ever eaten. The crust was so thin that barely existed and the corner crust was like a piece of A4 paper, very thin and fragile. Also, the burning on some spots gave it a bad taste. The tomato was nice but we wanted to eat a pizza not just a tomato sauce. Definitely not worth it, we are wondering about all these good reviews. I don’t know if it is supposed to be”authentic Italian dough” but it was definitely not enjoyable, as a pizza should be.

It’s day in Noce off a Viking cruise. Pizza rec by our host. Did not disappoint. Had beer, split a pizza and salad. Ended w coffee and tiramisu. English spoken by staff and even did great with my food allergies.

There was a lot of confusion until we were seated, many service staff, but no one responded. Good and pragmatic service at the table. Food very good, "sea spaghetti" tasted first class, pizza was ok so far, the extremely thin dough is a matter of taste, toppings very tasty. We sat outside and didn't see the inside area. Great location, super nice view of the hustle and bustle in the city center, the equipment such as placemats and cards have reached the end of their life, maybe you should treat yourself to a renewal.

My husband and I came here every night for dinner while we were in Nice. It got a bit embarrassing after night 3, but the food, service, atmosphere, and staff are absolutely incredible. It is a must try here in Nice. Our favorites are the Ortolana Pizza, Steak, Hamburger, and their wine section is incredible.

Best pizza I've had in the region. Cracker thin crust, fresh materials, cool central ambiance.

Fine dining restaurant
Restaurant Pure & V, located a few blocks from the beach, is a Scandinavian-inspired bistro run by Vanessa Masse, who was awarded sommelier of the year by Guide Michelin. The restaurant offers French twist on new Nordic cuisine and features organic ingredients sourced within a 100km radius. The wine list includes 70 different vignerons, with 80% from France.
We experienced an intimate dining experience with wine pairing and were blown away by the food, and the team. This is the best meal we experienced at our time in Nice. We went to two other Michelin restaurants and they were not as delicious and special as Pure & V. I was blown away with the wine pairing, and I’m still dreaming of the delicious food we were served. My husband has most of the pictures, but I will share just a glimpse of their amazing food:

A small fine dining restaurant with friendly and professional staff. We had the 9-course menu with wine pairing. The whole menu was a success, and in my opinion, some of the dishes were extraordinarily fresh and tasty. Combined with some very good wine choices, the evening was well worth the price.

Very intimate setting. Superb dishes— I had the vegetarian menu, and it was amazing. The eggplant + sea fennel dish was a highlight for me. The host and chef are very kind, friendly and accommodating. They said they’re closing soon, and I’m definitely keeping an eye on them— can’t wait to see what they do next! Best of luck ⭐️

Was in Nice and my partner made this reservation for my birthday. From start to finish this was one of the best dining experiences we both ever had. He literally cried at some point. Staff was amazing. Felt very comfortable and at home vs other Michelin star restaurants. The chef was nice enough to not only sign the menu for me for my birthday but came out and talked to us for sometime. Even was kind enough to provide us with an extra serving of their dessert which was the last. Would come back in a heartbeat.

I had the most incredible dining experience at Pure&V, where every detail—from the thoughtfully crafted dishes to the perfectly paired natural wines—was unforgettable. The food was simply outstanding, each course a celebration of flavor, creativity, and balance. What truly made the night special, though, were the shared moments with sommelier Vanessa and chef Pinja. Their passion and warmth brought a personal, authentic touch to the experience—like being welcomed into someone’s home, only with Michelin-worthy food and a cellar full of surprises. The wine pairing was a journey in itself—natural wines that complemented and elevated each dish beautifully. Every glass told a story, and Vanessa guided me through each one with insight and charm. Highly recommend for anyone who loves food, wine, and genuine hospitality. 🍷✨

We have been visiting Pure et V now 4 times. It has become a go-to place for us, when we are in Nice. We love natural wines and great food with a thoughtful twist, and this combines so well at Pure et V. Vanessa is superb with finding the right wines and here the taste of the food unites with the wines in a way, I have not tried anywhere else. Pinja - who has been the chef there the last 2 years - stands for creativity and excellence in combining taste from different ingredients, so we are here - in my humble opinion - clearly above the "just" 1 star at Michelin. In addition the atmosphere in the restaurant - the "relaxedness" and the tranquility - makes this one of those places you just want to return to. We have by the way had the pleasure and fun to take a look at the fish Steve brings in and sell from Port Lympia in the morning and then eaten it in the evening at Pure et V. Just excellent and great. We will be back.

I ordered 9 courses with paired wine, really experience with each course sharing and wine introduction.

What an amazing place to eat. We had the vegetarian menu and every single course was outstanding, particularly the beet rose with smokey sauce. Outstanding! The chef brought each course to the table and explained it. The waiters and wines were amazing. Really an extraordinary experience. Worth every cent!
