Seafood restaurant
Nestled by the serene waters of Cape Cod Bay, Sesuit Harbor Cafe is a quintessential seafood shack that captures the essence of New England dining. With its charming outdoor picnic tables overlooking Northside Marina, this spot is perfect for enjoying fresh coastal cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. The star of the menu is undoubtedly their renowned lobster roll, served on a buttery New England-style bun and accompanied by crispy fries and homemade coleslaw.
Came here on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend around lunchtime. Very long line, but worth the wait for this cash only establishment. It took about 20 minutes to put in our food order and it came out shortly thereafter. We also went to the raw bar to order soups which they poured for us right there. The clam chowder was scalding hot, but delicious. The lobster bisque was too thin with no bits of lobster in it so we’ll pass on it in the future. We sat outside at the picnic tables and our food came out within 10 minutes of putting our order in it at the counter. Not much to say other than it’s delicious fried seafood! Incredibly popular, so expect to wait a while around lunchtime. The interior has a cool fisherman’s vibe, but you don’t really spend much time in there aside from ordering.

The best combination of food taste, quality, price, and atmosphere on the cape. The line can be long but it moves pretty quick and even when it’s busy it’s easy to get a picnic table. The lobster roll is delicious, but honestly the star of the show might be the HUGE seared tuna sandwich. Also really enjoyed the fried clam plate better then the comber and macs IMO. Pro tip: bring a cooler with some adult beverages for your group to enjoy the sunset as the boats roll in. Pro tip: cash only but there’s an ATM Pro tip: if you want raw bar or soups you can go around the back and get in a way shorter line

This place was just okay. I would not come back here again especially considering how long the line always is. We came at 3:30pm as per advice to come at an off time to avoid the line and the line was still super long. We ended up leaving and coming back at 8:30am and there was no line. The breakfast food is just okay. It’s not really anything to rave about. It’s diner food but without the classic diner griddle tastiness. We also obviously had to try the lobster roll since everyone says it’s the best lobster roll on the cape. I had a better and bigger one at a different restaurant in the cape the day before and this was my first time in the cape! So it’s definitely not the best around, and not something I would come back for and stand in line for 1 hour for. I really don’t understand the hype about the food. The atmosphere is wonderful. Love the view from the backyard patio with the picnic tables. Absolutely gorgeous, can’t beat it.

**CASH ONLY** This place is pretty well known and as a result the line can get pretty long pretty fast. My advice? Come right before lunch (I recall it was 11am?) and just wait until they switch to the lunch menu. We got served pretty quick through this method. Outdoor seating only! Items we ordered (as of 9/2025). - Lobster Roll - $37.38 - Fantastic! If you're coming here you have to get this. A lot of lobster with great flavor. I would highly recommend this. - Mahi Sandwich - $23.36 - This wasn't bad but nothing special. Was hoping for more flavor from the fish. I would give this a pass. - Onion Rings - $9.35 - I'm a sucker for onion rings and these were delicious. Great batter and well seasoned. I would 100% order this again. - Clam Chowder - $6.54 - Pretty good but nothing special for us. - Scallop Plate - $23.36 - Delicious and recommended. Scallops were cooked perfectly. - Lobster Cake - $16.82 - Very good. You can really taste the lobster in the patty. Only wish they gave us more than 1! Overall if you're in the area I would definitely make the trip over here. Just plan to arrive early!

Hands down the best lobster roll we had in the area! It’s no surprise this place is a go-to spot—the line wrapped around the building at lunchtime. That said, they’re well-prepared for the crowds, and the line moved quickly. The location is also perfect for families. There’s a small sandy area with rocks where the kids played while we waited, making the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. They are CASH ONLY, just keep that in mind before you visit.

Just a unique experience with really good food and waterway views. First -there were ALOT of people here and my first impression was the great job they did with the limited parking area and high volume of people. The line to park moved very quickly and we had a spot within minutes. When I saw yet another line to order food I rolled my eyes but yet again the line moved quickly and despite the number of people had a full picnic table by the water for our party of seven! The food was brought to our table and everything raved about their choices. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves, but everyone cannot wait to go back!
Jennifer O — Google review
Food is great. Lobster roll is expensive but they always are and it’s at least a generous amount. I also enjoy the clam chowder from the raw bar. A few notes: it’s cash only but there is an ATM. The line gets long around dinner in the summer time and sometimes after you order you need to wait to snag a table, but we can always find one. It’s also BYOB which is awesome and the view of the water is great.
Alice H — Google review
Picture this... You saunter into Sesuit Harbor on a sun-drenched July afternoon, the harbor glittering like a cheesy rom-com set—and yes, you’re about to get your life changed by a humble lobster roll. From the moment you step up to the line wrapped around the marina —hope it’s not too crowded, but hey, that’s part of the fun—you’re already halfway in love. Then comes the part when you try to score the best table that combines a great view of the harbor and not rubbing elbows with too many seagulls. Takes strategy and patience. When your number finally gets called—like a VIP at a clam-themed concert—they deliver a sandwich so packed with lobster it could star in its own seafood blockbuster. The vibe? Totally BYOB and dog friendly, which feels like trading your picnic for a cooler full of bubbles and beach tunes. Outdoor seating lays you smack on the marina, where even the seagulls seem to ask, “Can I get in on that?”

The Marshside in East Dennis, MA is a charming restaurant known for its casual American seafood and breathtaking views of the surrounding marsh. The beautifully designed venue features high-beamed ceilings and large picture windows that provide panoramic vistas of the tidal marsh and Sesuit Creek. Renovated to exude style, it offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere for couples and families alike. The menu boasts hefty sandwiches, inspired salads, and a make-your-own-sundae option that kids will love.
Some of the freshest oysters we’ve ever had. Also the most delicious quahogs!! Love that they serve them on a bed of thick salt and butter on the side! The shirt rib grilled cheese was to die for. Drinks were also very good. We will be back! :)

We took my wife's parents here for their 50th anniversary and we definitely made the right choice. We were seated promptly at a table with a great view and got just the right mix of prompt service and respectful privacy. The selection of wines and beers impressed my in-laws, including a "not flavorless!" zero alcohol beer for dad. Our server Kristen (sorry if I don't have the spelling right!) was kind, attentive, and charming. She made us feel very welcome, and definitely went above the call of duty to make sure my mother-in-law got a good photo of the family around the table. The food was excellent, the portions generous, and the bill was very reasonable.

this is such a great place! although a few cons. wait time can be crazy, for us it was about 45 minutes but i believe it can vary. we got to sit on the porch with a nice view of the marsh while we waited and also ordered drinks, so the waiting wasn’t miserable. we got seated on a booth by again, a great view. atmosphere was nice otherwise. we got the calamari and were slightly disappointed because half of the plate was fried peppers, which were good, but not the calamari we wanted. not sure if this varies between plates, but it felt like a money grab. calamari itself was great. was a decent wait for food, which was expected because of how crowded it was. everyone enjoyed their food, surprisingly the mac and cheese was a hit and steak was so good! menu is pretty kid friendly, and there is a kid menu. it’s generally an expensive place, over $50 just for drinks. not a waste of money though! feels like such a nice and open place that is modern but relaxed. would come back here again!

I have been meaning to try Marshide for awhile and decided to stop in last night — so glad I did!!! I ordered the Chicken Francese and it was delicious. Service was great and the view of the marsh out the window at sunset was amazing! Will definitely be back soon!

We recently hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Marshside for our son and now daughter in law and everything was outstanding! We had dropped off decor in advance to be set up and when we arrived the tables looked beautiful. We had two servers that were dedicated to our group of 41 and they were so attentive and made the entire evening run seamless. The appetizers were delicious and the presentation was just lovely. Everyone raved about their starter of the seasonal soup or the caesar salad. The entrees arrived and the food was piping hot and the portions were huge. It was truly an amazing dinner and the apple crisp or the flourless chocolate torte were the perfect ending to an amazing meal to celebrate the start of the wedding weekend!! Thank you again to The Marshside!!

Pretty good experience, great menu selection, with something for everyone. Had great service for a Tuesday night after labor day on the cape. Will definitely go back. 👍.

Came with a large group and they seated us almost immediately, despite being relatively busy. Our server was great, answered our questions and provided us several options when we asked about his favorites on the menu. At this suggestion, I had the grilled swordfish and it was delicious. It was fresh and flaky, and topped with a flavorful Mediterranean tapenade. I heard rave reviews from others in our group about the scallops. Pace yourself...the bread basket will get you. Bread is hot and soft and you can easily fill up before your meal.

Wow! I just got back from an early dinner at The Marshide with my wife, and it was wonderful! The building is very nice; modern yes, but very tastefully done, with excellent views of the natural beauty of the salt marsh thanks to many large (and spotlessly clean) windows. The service was very good too, so I was happy about that as well. It was the wonderful food that put thus experience over the edge into wonderful..land. I ordered the baked haddock, and my wife got the mushroom ravioli. My haddock was very fresh and delightful, and set in a sauce that complemented but did not overpower the delicate deliciousness. My wife’s ravioli dish (I had a sample) was also incredible. I realize that mushroom ravioli sounds flavorless, but it was truly incredible! The mushrooms were very flavorful; and again, the sauce for that dish was the perfect complement, it even had pistachios…it all worked perfectly together! This place is expensive, and gets busy with a wait to eat at primetime, but it is worth it all. The setting is beautiful, and the chef is an artist. I highly recommend this place. Hint: Go during off peak hours..i.e. very early supper.

Scargo Tower, a 30-foot cobblestone tower located on Scargo Hill in Dennis, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Originally built in 1874 and reconstructed in 1901 after being destroyed twice, the tower stands as an enduring monument in the area. From its vantage point, visitors can enjoy sweeping vistas of Scargo Pond, the Dennis countryside, and Cape Cod Bay on clear days.
Nice spot with great views. Easy access and plenty of parking. There is not much to do other than go up to spiral staircase and admire the views from the top but it's a cool spot to check out.
Ana K — Google review
A neat spot that makes for a quick visit while on the Cape, provided the weather is agreeable. On a nice, clear day you’ll get some great views of Scargo Lake, the bay beyond, and the beautiful landscape and beaches of the Cape. On a cloudy day, you might as well not come. It’s nice that the top of the tower is accessible, otherwise you wouldn’t get much out of a visit. While it’s not nearly the view you’d get at the Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown, it is free, a much quicker trip, and more accessible.
Ben R — Google review
Went there sometime in July of this year. I haven't been there in years and the last time I was there I think was in elementary or middle school for field trip? It's always nice when visiting places you haven't been to in years. Didn't realize you could see the Smoke Stack and part of the bridge from standing up there but it's awesome! Glad I got to revisit finally 💛

The view on top of this tower is quite stunning on clear days. You can see the area of the Sagamore bridge to the NW. Due North, about 20 miles, is Provincetown across Cape Cod Bay with the Pilgrim Monument in view. You can the beaches of the arm of the cape well. It truly is a great spot. One of the highest points on the Cape.

Located on the north side of the Mid Cape in Dennis, Massachusetts, Corporation Beach is a popular destination for families. The crescent-shaped beach is known for its wide tidal flats, creating tidal pools where kids can explore and dig for sand crabs. During low tide, there's plenty of space for long walks and skimboarding. Visitors can also enjoy spectacular views after climbing up a large sand dune.
Smaller beach which we loved and super clean. Love that there's a snack shack, bathrooms, and outdoor showers. My daughter had so much fun finding SO many hermit crabs. The water was warm and calm so perfect for little kids. Parking is $30 which isn't great but that's par for Massachusetts.

Great beach, the tide went down and you could enjoy the day well, there were plenty of algae in the water, however, it didn't prevent you from enjoying and enjoying the beach.

Monday 7/8 Family of 5 Review. As always never disappoints. Arrived at 9:30 AM bottom lot was almost full. Low tide we setup midway down from the soft sand - bad idea. We ended up moving 2x to keep the water at bay. We setup with a wide buffer for digging etc… with family of 5 - this helped provide moving space. Water felt chillier than the sound side yesterday - likely due to the higher temperature and no wind. Bathroom smelled like urine (eww). We found tons of small/medium crab, hermit crabs, and even a decent sized horseshoe crab alive! We didn’t get anything from the snack bar, however, looks well stocked. Bring your nets, buckets, and water shoes - decent rocks near the crab area by the jetty. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking to enjoy the beach on the bay side! Also, make sure you get a stellar umbrella with the heavy duty spines - see my picture.

always will be one of the best beaches in the cape. doesn’t fill up super quick- got there around 10:00 and still got in. so many cool tide pools for hermit crabs and other sea life. very entertaining for everyone. water wasn’t too cold and very calm. almost no seaweed! hermit crabs everywhere!🦀 would totally come again!
Kenzie S — Google review
Great beach with calm water! The beach is beautiful and large at low tide. Not crowded at all. Great place for families. Clean bathrooms and great snack bar. There’s a cute swing set near the snack bar. I recommend swinging and looking out at the beautiful view of the water!

Got here at 8:30am and was one of the last few cars to get parking. This was after driving to mayflower and another beach that was already full when we got to Dennis. At first the beach was huge and had plenty of room. The water was crystal clear and the ground was soft sand. An hour into being here the tide had already come up to our spot 15ft from shore. Everyone started to Jam Pack next to each other so no one’s things would get wet. We decided to go swimming one last time before leaving and the water was so full of seaweed it looked brown instead of the clear water it was an hour prior. We paid $35 to park and stayed 2hrs. Definetly will not be back unless it’s during low tide. However one positive thing I can say are the locals are extremely friendly. We had people offer to carry our cooler for us up and down the steps. We also had some great conversations with a few other ladies there.
Jada S — Google review
Corporation Beach is absolutely AMAZING! Family fun in the sun! From finding hermit crab and actual blue crabs to eating delicious fast food at their amazing (standard beach food priced) snack bar! I loved it and so did my little one. There are also actual restrooms and outdoor showers available. Parking fee is $30 and you want to be sure to get here around 9:00 for good parking.

Wonderful beach in Dennis. We came earlier on a very windy day but had a great time! We didn’t have to pay for parking because of the high winds but it’s usually $30. Parking lot is not very large so get here early if the weather is beautiful. If you come at low tide make sure to walk down towards the marsh and look for tide pools.

Lost Dog Pub is a laid-back and cozy spot with a lively atmosphere, making it perfect for families and sports fans. The menu offers a wide variety of bar fare, including seafood options and pizza. With plenty of beer on tap, signature cocktails, and martinis, this pub is an ideal place for socializing. Visitors can enjoy lunch, dinner, and late-night snacks at its two Cape Cod locations.
Loved the place!! Very busy atmosphere. . Waitresses and bussers had their groove on. Tables cleared and reset quickly. Pub style plus dinner extrees. Went twice on my stay here. Worth every penny you spend.

Roast beef was warm at best but otherwise the French dip was okay. Root beer was good. Custom pizza was good as well.

Got a seafood combo plate. Came with only 2 shrimp that had some weird batter, some little bite size fish pieces, both of which were just ok. The scallops though? Disgusting! Tastes like old fish. The whole plate was previously frozen for sure. Service was fine. Heineken was super skunked. Also got a pizza which was burnt on the bottom and on half the crust. I will not go back!
Anthony G — Google review
Comfortable place. Great for a Sunday football day, or after the game. Better atmosphere at bar with TVs and quick bar service. Haven't eaten at the dining area side but TVs not as visible. The food is good. Some dishes better than others. I really love their arugula gorgonzola walnut cranberry salad with blackened Salmon served with either blue cheese or honey balsamic dressing. They provided me both. Portion of salmon excellent, cooked to perfection. However my husband got the seafood combo, portion of fish was nugget size, three shrimp and three scallops with a big portion of fries. Not worth the price. If the fish was actually a portion of fish then it would be good. I urge restaurants to not skimp. Fish nuggets seem like bottom of barrel. I recommend that this restaurant serve an actual portion of fish in the combo, which shouldn't be nugget size. Other local seafood restaurants do this better and less money. Place was busy, makes good business. Clean. Staff are friendly. Local bar open all year, and warm.

Here last week, coconut shrimp was delicious, crab cakes were a bit oily/soggy, pain killer drink was DELICIOUS. Customer service was phenomenal. Easy parking, and great little pasture/ farm to over look. Very kid and family friendly. Also great at night for just adults. Enjoy!

What happened to the Lost Dog? Went 2 nights ago and the pizza was like cardboard. When we complained they (older service woman and younger bloke at bar) basically ignored us. The couple next to my wife and I were shocked at the poor service they received. It wasn’t even that busy as well. I came here during Christmas time and it was such a nice place and good vibes. Now? New owners?

New American restaurant
Nestled in the charming town of Dennis, The Pheasant is a delightful dining destination that beautifully marries refined American cuisine with French influences. Housed in a stunning 200-year-old barn, this seasonal restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere complete with a cozy fireplace and picturesque garden. Since its opening in 2008 by Eric and Adam Dunn, The Pheasant has been dedicated to crafting exquisite dishes from scratch under the guidance of executive chef Toby Hill.
This is honestly the best restaurant on Cape Cod. The food is locally sourced and expertly prepared, and I haven’t had a meal there that didn’t blow me away. The setup is charming and homey, with a nice mix of antiques and moderns touches. The owners are very present, but they have trained their staff beautifully, and it’s clear that everyone is invested in doing a great job. The cocktails are special and creative without doing too much, and again, the menu offerings are as delicious as it gets. I can’t say enough wonderful things about The Pheasant.
Kate D — Google review
We were looking forward to our meal all week but it was a bit of a disappointment. The restaurant itself is beautiful and well decorated. It took a really long time to get cocktails, just 2 for a table of 5. Once they arrived they were good. The food looked beautiful as you can see from the pictures, but in most cases was not seasoned well. We ordered four appetizers and five entrees. All the food was ok, but nothing was a home run except the bass and clams my wife had. Pork chop and Cornish hen were underwhelming and the hen portions ridiculously small. My son asked if we could stop at the lazy dog for a chicken sandwich instead of having desert. My daughter also said she didn’t get enough food. I don’t know how they can recommend sharing when portions are so small and prices so high. Between the portion sizes and the underwhelming food just can’t recommend the restaurant
Duncan H — Google review
One of our best dinners on the Cape! We are Californians and not used to massive MA plates of food so we were very content to share all of these nicely portioned smaller dishes. The rich potato millefeuille was delectable and was complimented by the vinegary bite of the watermelon gazpacho we also ordered. The seared mushrooms and giant beans were a hearty, beautifully seasoned intro to Fall that paired well with a French Pinot. The poussin was crisp and tasty. It did take over an hour and a half to get our dishes, which was a bit delayed compared to diners around us, so we ran out of steam for dessert but overall it was lovely.

A lot of people are saying this is the best restaurant on the Cape. I agree but I would take it a step further - it is one of the best restaurants anywhere, full stop. Better than most restaurants I’ve been to in Miami, NY, Boston, etc. The rotating menu every few weeks and their partnership with the best local vendors (CBI Farm, Ack Gioia, etc) makes for the freshest most delicious ingredients. Whatever form they are serving burrata in is a must have- earlier in the season it was peach burrata salad, now it is burrata with chimichurri. Amazing. The poussin is my favorite entree. I would recommend ordering several plates and sharing so you can try as much as possible. They also have a fabulous wine selection. Very cozy setting - love going in the off season as well. My favorite!

Another exceptional dining experience at The Pheasant! I brought my chef husband for his birthday and we had such a nice time (he's hard to please!). The service was exceptional and the food was outstanding! It's hard to be impressed in January on Cape Cod but this restaurant delivers year round, and is especially warm and cozy this time of year! We had a late reservation and were one of the last tables but the staff continued to make us feel welcomed and appreciated. We will be back!

We found this place by mistake and so happy we did. The local band playing was really good. The atmosphere, drinks and small plates were great. The place has a nice vibe to it. We will visit again on our next trip.

Did a Bartending Event tonight and it was amazing. John is so passionate about his spirits and it was a pleasure to watch him in his element. If you have a chance to attend any of the events, I would highly recommend.

Sunday evening we decided we wanted to change plans for something a little more casual. We lucked into finding this place and there were a few open tables outside when we got there around 7:30. A local guy was playing music and they had a very casual and calm atmosphere. I would definitely suggest the duck quesadilla if they have it but the beet salad and charcuterie board were also very good.

Always enjoy a night here! The cocktails are creative (love the Beets & Bourbon) and the small bites are yummy as well. They also often have live music from some really fun local bands/singers! Can't wait for more summer nights here.

Really well done menu, higher end tapas and light fare. Excellent service. Awesome live music. Not inexpensive but you definitely get what you pay for.

We hosted my mother in law's 70th birthday party here at the end of August. It was magical! Johnny was so great to work with. The atmosphere was so chill. Great cocktails and the pastry chef made a gorgeous and very tasty cake. We've also been here for meals and drinks, totally worth checking out.

We had a great evening at the bar over Memorial Day weekend! Chloe mixed us some delicious cocktails, the food was delicious, and the live music was a fun start to the Summer.

Best cocktails on Cape Cod. Johnny, Michael, and staff are second to none and the vibe is always perfect. A must stop whenever on the Cape ✅

Fine dining restaurant
Encore Bistro and Bar is a hip upmarket American restaurant that serves delicious meat and seafood dishes in a quaint ambiance. The restaurant was opened by executive chef Tyler LaChance in 2015, and is perfect for couples to enjoy elegantly-prepared land and sea entrees nightly.
From the moment we walked in, we knew this was our kind of place when I say we me and my friend rented an Airbnb in Plymouth and discovered the Cape extensively. We love this place. The manager is friendly. Everyone was beautiful attentive the servers just perfect. We had drinks outside in the tent and then went in for a fabulous dinner. Everything exquisite from the bread to the clam chowder to the shrimp scampi which they served amazingly fresh with lemon, unlike the normal breaded one. It was so good. My friend had the lean duck in a glaze that was light and refreshing. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I went for Easter brunch. It was my first time at this lovely establishment. Andrew the GM greeted us, super nice guy. The inside was a beautiful rustic theme. Bathrooms were very clean. We had Shawna for our waitress and she was awesome. Very friendly and on top of things. The food was outstanding- I don’t ever clean my plate & frequently get told to eat my food but I ate every last drop!!! My boyfriend loved his food as well. Definitely worth a visit. 5 stars isn’t enough!!! Thanks Encore for a lovely Easter brunch.

I was with my friend and we rented an Airbnb in Plymouth, but decided to drive to Dennis and luckily stumbled across this fabulous restaurant. The food was divine. I had shrimp scampi never cooked like that before the shrimp almost al dente in a delicious lemony, butter sauce with the linguine, and my friend had the duck which was lean and deliciousservice was excellent extremely friendly and the outside tent is beautiful. If I could fly there again, I would be there in a second and next time I visit the Cape I am booking a reservation.

First time at Encore, and let me tell you it will not be the last! 10/10. 5 ⭐️s Might become a regular! From beginning to end, amazing service! Food was spot on, drinks strong and cookie pie to end the night was so gooey warm and delicious! Chicken Marsala, Chicken Francese, A Cosmo and a Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie! Perfection. Thank you Encore for an incredible night! Can’t wait to be back!

This continues to be one of our favorite places to eat dinner on the Cape. It is beautiful both inside and out on their covered patio. Tonight on the patio our waitress was Danielle who was so sweet and attentive. The GM stopped by to ask how our meal was and it was our opportunity to thank him for another wonderful meal. We’ve eaten inside several times also which is rustic while being clean and modern. Both in season and off it is a place to truly relax and enjoy a little piece of the Cape. Food, drink, ambiance….Encore has it all.

Exquisite setting, friendly service & excellent food. Appetizers were all excellent: Loved the Arugula salad, the lobster tower & the Yucatan shrimp was sooo delicious. The entrees were fine too and the best was the beef Stroganoff. The salmon had too much sun-dried tomatoes. Chocolate cake and lemon cheesecake were excellent with fantastic espresso and cappuccino drinks.

Nestled in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts, the Whydah Pirate Museum offers a captivating glimpse into the world of piracy through its impressive collection of artifacts from the infamous 18th-century ship, the Whydah Gally. Originally launched in London in 1716 as a slave vessel, this ship was commandeered by pirate Captain Samuel "Black Sam" Bellamy just a year later and became notorious for its plundering escapades before meeting its fate off Cape Cod's shores.
This indoor pirate museum is a fascinating look into the history of pirates with the focus being on Whydah pirate ship that sunk in 1717 just off the Cape Cod shore. The remains were found in 1984 and the excavating is still ongoing! The museum is great for kids, families, or adults and is the perfect way to spend an hour or two or more. It's a self guided tour. You will learn about concretions and the interesting history of how pirates came to be pirates and what life was like for them. The museum entrance for adults is $18 and you can book online or just stop in. There are clean restrooms, a gift shop and parking area. The museum is preparing to expand with further exhibits. Worth a visit!
Denise A — Google review
The museum was really cool. Though it definitely requires a LOT of reading. It was super cool to learn the history of Bellamy and they had some very cool models. Also the science section with the concretements was very interesting. Definitely worth a visit if you're interested in pirates.
Reilly J — Google review
We decided to visit the museum on a rainy day, along with a multitude of other tourists. While the museum itself seems interesting and has a lot of potential, we were completely unable to enjoy it due to the overwhelming crowd. It was absurdly packed — there was barely room to move. Had we not already purchased tickets online, we would have turned around and left. It’s a shame we couldn’t appreciate what the museum had to offer. On top of that, it was unbearably stuffy inside. Staying there longer than ten minutes was almost impossible. This experience was absolutely not worth nearly $80 for a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids). It felt more like a tourist trap than an actual museum. In fact, I’d call it more of an overhyped exhibit than a true museum — everything felt forced and stretched thin. This was the worst “museum” I’ve visited on Cape Cod. There’s clearly a lot that could be improved — better crowd control, air ventilation, bigger facility, and overall organization — but judging by other reviews, nothing ever changes. Read the reviews, friends, before you go.
Alex K — Google review
Very neat museum which tells the history of pirates and specifically focuses on the Wydah which sank in a storm. This museum requires ALOT of reading, which was great for my husband and I. But not so great for little kids. I could see young kids getting bored quickly. It takes about a hour to go through. Very cool to learn about the history of pirates. There is a little gift shop where you can buy souvenirs too.
Katie L — Google review
The Pirate Museum and its gift shop are a must-see when visiting Cape Cod! 🏴‍☠️ I was fascinated by the stories of real pirates, the history of the slave trade, and the incredible artifacts recovered by divers from the lost ship. The exhibits are both educational and exciting — perfect for all ages. Before entering, there’s a short video that really sets the mood and gives great background on what you’re about to see. A fun, informative, and unforgettable stop, I highly recommend it! (By the way, no photography is allowed inside the museum, so be sure to take in the details while you’re there!)
Cydonie B — Google review
Must see, chance of a life. This is as much someone's labor of love as it is a museum. I went with my wife, and being in a tourist area, I had no expectations, assumed it would be a bit kitsch. Anything but. Superb presentation of history and artifacts that they have made come alive, stunning level of intelligence and thought into the exhibits. Highest possible recommendation.
Robert C — Google review
Overall a nice experience. I think the exhibits could be better designed. One of the most amazing parts was the HUGE pile of treasure, the only discovered pirate treasure.... People Just walked right by. Thinking oh cool, treasure, without knowing the story behind it. If the display for it was larger or even a room specifically for it, people would know how important it is.
Nicole D — Google review
Great experience. The content and exhibits are interesting and the format is small enough that children stay engaged. One can visit for 45 minutes to an hour and come away satisfied, or even stay for 90-120 minutes for a deeper dive (no pun intended). Even though this museum is curated around a specific shipwreck off the Cape Cod coast, the information correlates to broader maritime and trade histories. Our group was mixed and all had a good time, coming away with some newfound knowledge and respect. For improvements I’d recommend the museum evaluates the lighting in some areas to try to illuminate more of the details of the exhibits. The ambiance definitely reflects the dark, dank vibes that pirates experienced below decks, but there are definitely ways to improve the visuals without degrading the overall feel. Around the cannons, for example, is an area that I would’ve liked to better identify some of the details the exhibit was describing. Overall, this museum is an excellent experience. It’s something fun and interesting to do on a cloudy day, or right before grabbing dinner in the neighborhood, or any time you want to engage with something that can fill a smaller window of time on your visit to the Cape.

Mini Golf
Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf is a family-friendly, award-winning theme park featuring two 18-hole pirate-themed mini-golf courses in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts. The imaginative Captain's Course and the bold Blackbeard's Course offer an exciting golfing experience as players navigate footbridges, waterfalls, rocky outcrops, and caves. This Cape Cod landmark brings the adventures of infamous pirates to life with its captivating design.
This was the best traditional mini-golf place I have ever been. The theming was awesome, and we loved the fun pirate facts at each hole. The course itself was tricky, creative, and fun for everyone — from our 5-year-old to the grandparents. We enjoyed our first round so much, we came back to play the second course! It was a bit busy during our first visit (around 1pm Friday), so we had to wait a bit at each hole — but honestly, we didn’t mind. It gave us time to chat and soak in all the fun details. If you’re only going to play one mini golf course on the Cape, make it this one!
Theresa W — Google review
This place was a perfect mini golf course. There are two courses to choose from. One is more flat and handicap accessible while the other has many stairs. Play was pretty smooth everyone was moving fast paced. Only issue was the smell. They need to power wash or clean the water because the entire time it smelt.

The best minigolf place I have ever been to, hands down. Two courses in one, quality greens, unique hole designs, great for groups and kids, plenty of parking, and food locations nearby. Kind staff and golfing community. Course is a little bit expensive, but you are getting what you pay for.

It was a fun time. Great course we did the Captians 18 hole. The gentleman at the counter offered to take our photo witch was very nice. Great photographer he was as well.

Such a fun course! One of the best mini golf I have been to in a while! Has two routes, one is more accessible than the other (we took the harder one it has a fair amount of stairs just beware there’s cardio involved!). The course was fun and interesting and on theme, and it was affordable too!
Tricia L — Google review
They have two courses we didn't do black beards course. The kids enjoyed the course, but they even found it to be too easy and uneventful. They wanted more hazards and obstacles.
Joey D — Google review
We used to love this place. But we did the front course the other evening and we were not impressed. One of the holes had a leak from the nearby waterfall, making the green wet and puddled, and the hole full of water. They probably could have fixed it with a bit of hydraulic cement. The worse problem was the lighting. The lights were not bright enough and too far apart - dim and shadowy. And the tunnels had no lighting and were hard to walk through, much less golf in. We might go back and do the back course during the daytime, but there are lots of other courses to try.
Kathryn ( — Google review
Pirate's Cove is my favorite mini golf place. We play there in Maine and here in the Cape. We always do Captain's Course and Blackbeard's Course because they're so much fun. It's great for all ages and group sizes. For the first round it cost us $27 and then we got a $10 discount for playing another course right after.

If you're looking for a delightful way to explore the stunning landscapes of Cape Cod, look no further than the Cape Cod Central Railroad. This charming train service offers scenic rides that take you through picturesque marshes, vibrant cranberry bogs, and rolling sand dunes—views that are often only accessible by rail. Starting from stations in Hyannis and Buzzards Bay, passengers can choose from various experiences including a relaxing weekday lunch or an exquisite Sunday brunch featuring delectable dishes like lobster omelets and Chicken Oscar.
We had a wonderful time! Karen was a great host, we learned a lot! Our server was excellent as well! All the staff were wonderful! the popcorn was super buttery and salty, it was perfect! the seats were very comfortable. It was a great way to learn about the area and see key sights. We even saw some cool wildlife. Highly recommend. The gift shop was super cute and fairly priced. My train fanatic son and husband loved it. On Friday we went to buzzard Bay recreation area and watched the train go by and use the vertical railroad lift! there's also a splash pad and playground there and trail to bike or walk along the canal! made our trip perfect!

We had a beautiful fall day riding the train! We had a Jazz brunch train departing Iyonna! Awesome food. You might think it’s expensive but it was worth it. The employees were friendly. They worked very hard. Our waitress was Jennifer. We also had a new young man who was quite impressionable four days employed Bryceon! Brian was the conductor lots of great information about the original train where it came from etc. Please support because it is a privately owned train in New England

It was a smooth 2.5 hours of a ride to the canal past Sandwich. You get occasional views of cranberry bogs and distant views of the ocean. Clean and pleasant conductors and restaurant staff. Very enjoyable experience.

This was a guided train tour. Scenic views that goes about 50 miles round trip through Cape Cod. There was a very informative lady offering the history of different things we would pass by. She was entertaining and mentioned random things like that Massachusetts drivers don't often use turn signals or that if you are going to Dunkin Doughnuts that if you order a "regular" it will have cream and sugar. This was a relaxing ride and a chance to enjoy the Cape Cod scenery. Driving through Cape Cod if nice, but many of the roads are winding and tough to enjoy the scenery since you have to keep your eyes on the road.

Absolutely delicious! On the dinner train I had the salmon, it was the best I ever had, and I eat a lot of salmon. All of the sides, the salad, crudite, and the harvest chowder, all excellent! Great service as well, and the conductor made sure that we got to go over the bridge. I'll come back every year 👏

Today we celebrated my brother’s birthday with a large party (7). Booking was done via phone because we had a special request (wanted to bring our own bday cake). The booking agents were also very accommodating when I called a second time to switch the date! The parking staff and the storefront folks were very helpful and courteous too! The food was great! My only comments are that I should have asked for syrup on the side of my french toast (it was so sweet). Everyone loved their salmon and chicken & waffles. Our waitstaff, Jen, Bryson and Amy were terrific! They worked seamlessly like a well oiled machine!

Nestled in the heart of Hyannis, Veterans Memorial Park is a serene and picturesque destination that beautifully blends history with leisure. This charming park pays tribute to our veterans through its impressive memorials, including a striking bronze soldier statue and pathways adorned with engraved bricks honoring those who served. Families will find plenty to enjoy here, from the inviting beach access to play areas perfect for children. As you stroll along the sandy shores facing Lewis Bay, take a moment to reflect at the John F.
It's a nice park to walk around. We mainly came for the playground and beach. You can watch all the boats and ferries leaving Port from this beach. The kids enjoyed this more than the memorial. They have nice bathrooms that are open til 4:30 pm this time of year.

A small but well-kept waterfront park near the harbor, combining a memorial to JFK and Korean War veterans with a beautiful fountain and flower garden. It’s a peaceful spot that brings together a beach area and shaded picnic tables perfect for a relaxing or a barbecue. Whether you’re taking a walk, enjoying the breeze, or snapping a few scenic photos, this park is definitely worth a visit. A quiet and charming place to unwind just steps from downtown Hyannis.

I thought this was a very clean, easy to find and easy to navigate little memorial area. There is plenty of grass the picnic around as well as tables. The walk to the beach is just a couple of dozens of feet away from the park. I feel like this is very kid friendly and a great place to take your children to view the memorial and have a good time at the bay as well. Lots of park benches nearby. I was disappointed that the fountain was not running. Likely because it’s the off-season when I went to visit. I went on November 1 and it was a gorgeous day.

The John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum, located on Main Street in Hyannis, offers a more personal look at the 35th president of the United States compared to its larger counterpart in Boston. Visitors are greeted by a statue of a young JFK walking barefoot through beach grass.
This is a very interesting and informative museum about the life of John Kennedy and his family. We spent several hours walking through the museum and learning about the President and family members. From his childhood up to when he was assinated. There is also a section about the life of John Kennedy,Jr and the tragic plane accident which ended his an his wife lives. This is a must see museum when you are here.

We went here on a rainy day. Best spot to park was the lot behind it. Trying to find parking otherwise would have been a chore. If you are a fan of JFK or American history, definitely stop in at least once. There are some videos as you go through, but it's basically a self-guided tour. It was a well-done presentation of his life and career, heavily flavored with his love of the Cape.

Sundancer's Cape Cod is a versatile spot in Dennis that transforms from a riverside seafood eatery during the day to a lively club with karaoke, live music, and dancing at night. The place offers lobster and seafood delicacies along with an outdoor beer garden and waterfront deck seating. It's known for its laid-back atmosphere, nightly entertainment, and family-friendly karaoke sessions.
We rented out Sundancers this past weekend for our son's wedding welcome party, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional from start to finish. The food was great, and the atmosphere was perfect for bringing friends and family together. Truly an enjoyable and memorable event. Highly recommend! Everyone had a blast, Thanks Again!

Great location! Have enjoyed it in the past, but probably won’t be back. We were surprised to see it pretty empty at 6:15 on a Saturday. Wait for outdoor seating, which was fine so we sat as the only table in the dining room. waitress came to take our order, got our “cocktails” but not our waters. I don’t expect a ton of liquor in a frozen drink, but my bf’s strawberry margarita was more like a glass of cranberry juice- no rim, no lime even. ordered food, I asked if I could sub bacon on top potato skins for the steak chili and they said yes, but $3.50 for bacon. when the food comes out- the $15 potato skins were one potato lol. waitress never came to check on the food, even though the restaurant was empty. came around to grab the stacked plates, said “let me get those out of the way”, again without asking about the food, asking if we need anything else, or offering the check. $85 for two apps, two drinks and a chicken Alfredo I’ve had better service when they were slammed, food and drinks absolutely not worth your cash

Rudest bartender I’ve ever experienced on the Cape. Went to order my first drink from the bald man with the goatee and asked 1 question: What the last 2 taps of beer were. His response? “I don’t have time for this.” Super rude and only got worse to others too through the night. (PS. I’ve bartended for years and would never treat a customer inquiring this way.) Good luck to anyone going here who wants anything other than a Bud Lite.

Bartender was amazing! It’s right across from our hotel. We had a blast chilling and hanging out during our fishing trip. If you are close by, swing by here. We will eat here next year. Want to see how good is their food.

Loved the band playing on Thursday, waitress was great but the place is a joke. Bartenders are not friendly, abd for some unknown reason, we couldn't sit where we could see the band good. Tables had fake drinks and reserved signs on them only for NO ONE to sit there all night. This is the second time this has been done to us, even though we are good paying customers. Bill was over$160.
Lisa T — Google review
Decided to have dinner here with my family and when we walked in we were welcomed by an amazing hostess. I think her name was Colby, she was super sweet and made us feel very welcome. It was very busy but she still showed us attention and got us to our table quickly. She never made us feel rushed or like an inconvenience. We had a waitress by the name of Ella who was an extremely nice girl who was just perfect. She made sure she got all of our orders right and made us feel like top priority in the restaurant while having other customers to tend to. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, but more than that, she made us feel like we weren’t just customers, but guests in her home. Would one hundred percent come back here just because of those two girls. They made it a good experience.

The woman who owns this place needs to get a personality. One of my dearest friends son is in a wonderful band who played there last night. They are college students and many of their friends came to see them as they always do. Some kids were turned away for not being 21 which is understandable but at other venues they have been allowed to watch just not drink. Although they left without incident the owner was rude to my friend and even called her outside! She was not personable all night and yelled at the band members as well! Outdoor Activities
Mayflower Beach in Dennis is a top choice for those seeking a relaxing beach experience. It's been rated as the number one beach on the Cape, offering soft white sand, calm bayside waves, and convenient amenities like bathrooms and parking. One of its most charming features is the consistently low tide, allowing visitors to walk out for miles into warm tidal pools. The sunset views over the shallow waters are perfect for capturing stunning photos.
One of the best beaches on the Cape. Great family beach for all activities due to its low tide and tide pools for kids. The best part is the sunsets here, a must see if you have never been. Post card material. WORTH the trip but get there early or you won't get in as fills vey quickly.
Richard L — Google review
Gorgeous beach, it is so wide during low tide it stretches forever. Gorgeous sunsets too.
Amy I — Google review
Great beach! Parking is steep at every beach in Cape Cod. After 5pm it’s free and you get to see the best sunset.
Rohan B — Google review
Beautiful beach, clear water, equipped with bathrooms and concession stand. Parking lot close to the beach access.
Joy H — Google review
What an incredible beach! I loved the vast space, which allows you to enjoy without feeling crowded. The parking is ample and, although it costs $30, it is totally worth it. The cleanliness of the beach is impeccable, making our visit a perfect experience. I will definitely be coming back.

Update 2025: don't know where all the rocks came from! Miles of rocks before you can get in water but once you pass the rocks it's same old beautiful crystal clear water, dunes at low tide. Bring your water shoes. Parking $35 2024: Soft and clean sand, crystal clear water, amazing sand dunes appear miles and miles long with ebb tide. Best beach snack bar ever-i would even come back just to have their fish sandwich LOL

This is a lovely clean sand beach with parking, restrooms and a snack stand (stand open during the summer season). Very popular during the summer season so expect to be challenged with parking.

Gorgeous beach! Nice moby mat out to the water. Cafe and bathrooms, along with showers and foot wash station on the way back. Small(er) parking lot so be prepared. Check out Dennis Beach Parking on Twitter for updates.

American restaurant
Bar & grill
Bistro
Nestled in the charming town of Dennis, Scargo Cafe is a delightful dining destination that beautifully marries American cuisine with a touch of New England charm. Housed in a traditional colonial-style building, this intimate eatery offers various seating options, including a cozy fireplace dining room and an inviting patio. The menu showcases an array of delectable dishes featuring local seafood, hearty sandwiches like the classic Reuben, and flavorful bowls such as the Mediterranean farro bowl.
Wonderful! My girlfriend and I just went for the first time today, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Friendly and prompt service, a clean and comfortable atmosphere, and phenomenal food. Definitely more upscale than your laid-back beach joints down the road. We got the French onion soup, seafood chowder, and lobster rolls. All were probably the best we've ever had. $125 (before tip) for the food and two beers. Considering the quality of the restaurant, I'd say the prices are very much worth it. We were dressed pretty casually, which staff didn't seem to mind at all, but I'd probably at least wear a nicer shirt next time. Only complaint is that the water really needed ice, but that's such a miniscule thing. 10/10 would return!

To describe Scargo would be refined casual. Called to book and the recording was well thought out and impressive but not over the top. Loved it! The night we arrived early, table was ready. Staff well trained and formal but relaxed. Very busy did not have to wait long for drinks or food. Tuna martini starter, perfect. Seafood strudel was delicious and size was generous but not flowing over the side of the plate. Steak is thick and perfect. Highly recommend!

Excellent dining experience from start to finish. Plenty of parking in the private lot makes arriving stress-free, even at busy times. Inside, the space is cozy and full of character - warm, classic Cape Cod charm with an upscale-casual feel. I tried their house special (photo attached) and it was freshly cooked, full of flavor, and clearly made to order. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality, ambiance, and overall experience make it well worth it. Definitely coming back next time I’m in the area!

Food and Staff is Outstanding...Nicolette is the Best!! (for us anyway). Get there early though. Bar / Lounge jammed come 4:30pm until about 630pm. Sign Up Chalk Board for Bar Seats on your left when you walk into Bar!

Classic food. Not special delicious and not bad either. The lamb is nicely cooked , very tender but it’s lacking the texture and flavor of mutton. Fried oysters is a bit too salty and small.

Swordfish was great. French Onion soup was amazing. Creme Brulee was fantastic. Great place!

Delicious food- really enjoyed the shrimp cocktail and Buddha bowl. Drinks were a little sweet for my taste.

Cute place in Dennis with sectioned dining area, friendly service. Serves bread and butter for starters. Menu had few interesting fusion options. -Hibiscus refresher$9 mocktail with hibiscus tea, lemon, priqly pear puree, soda water, lime -French onion soup $14 delightful with so much cheese! -Herb crusted sea scallops $36 was the winner of the night! Roasted Hokkaido scallops cooked to perfection served with corn, bacon succotash, white miso berry blanc. Flavorful and serving size was good. -Buddha bowl $28 grilled balsamic chicken over chilled quinoa, tomatoes, roasted sweet potatoes, feta, kalamata olives, lemon basil vinaigrette. Sounded very interesting but was a bit disappointing. Sweet potatoes were almost raw and not grilled at all. Ingredients didn't quite blend with each other with unbalanced flavor. Might still return for Hokkaido scallops though when we are in the area again.

Movie theater
Cape Cinema, established in 1930, is a unique movie theater located on the Cape Cod Center for the Arts campus. The design of the cinema resembles a local Greek Revival church and features a renowned massive mural covering 6,400 square feet. Additionally, the campus is home to the historic Cape Playhouse, which has hosted legendary performers such as Humphrey Bogart and Julie Andrews. Visitors can also enjoy live band concerts at the Dennis Bandstand on Monday nights during the summer.
I absolutely love this theatre! I rarely go out to the movies, however the minute the theater post a movie I wanna see 100% support it. No frills just a nice clean theater with comfortable seats, reasonable prices excellent snacks, clean bathrooms and super friendly staff and of course the parking is perfect.
Laurie — Google review
The music and candlelights were beautiful, but the visual impact was lessened in my opinion by the casual attire of the performers. It felt like a rehearsal.

A beautiful concert, visually and acoustically. The venue is gorgeous on it's own, but with the candles it was breathtaking! The music was wonderful and the musicians were fantastic. At only an hour long, I wish it could have gone on longer! Will certainly watch for more of these Candelight Concerts!

What a great visit and a great series of exhibits. The motorcycle section is quite amazing really with some spectacular bikes to view. Many pieces throughout that are quite special as well. I highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area and interested in such things.

Attended the unveiling of Ralph Mencini's "Mocha" and was very impressed with this museum and grounds. Cape Cod artists are featured. They make good use of their small building which is on the same property as the Dennis Playhouse, Movie Theater and The Encore Cafe. Gift Shop.

I’ve been to Cape Cod over 20 times and I try to come here every visit. This is a very nice fine arts museum and the exhibits are well selected. The outdoor sculpture garden is also very nice. Love the location because it’s near the Cape cinema and the Cape Playhouse.

Brewery
Food & Drink
Located in South Dennis, Devil's Purse Brewing Company is a small craft brewery known for its European-inspired beers and dedication to using only the highest quality ingredients. Situated in an industrial area, this brewery offers a tasting room where visitors can sample a variety of brews, from light German Kolsch to hoppy India Pale Ale. While the location does not offer food, it's a popular stop for those completing the Cape Cod Rail Trail nearby.
This was a chill little brewery. Was a great place to stop in and have a beer. It was very clean inside and had some outside seating. They didn’t have an overwhelming list of beers but the ones the had were good. We tried a pickled jalapeno beer and it was one of the best spicy beers I have had. Don’t think you could spend the whole day here but I recommend stopping in if you are in the area.
Dan R — Google review
First and foremost, let me start by stating I am NOT an avid beer drinker by any means. I drink a few select beers and beer is never my first choice. However, my husband loves a good beer so we love to stop by local breweries on our travels. We started by having small pours of several beers (sort of made our own flight to share since they don't actually offer flights). To my surprise, I genuinely enjoyed each of the 5 pours we had. They have really good beer! As an added bonus, the place is clean and the staff is lovely !
Sofia A — Google review
What a great experience! Everyone in my party tried a different beer, and each one was absolutely delicious! They also had a great band playing. The overall vibe of the place was just perfect for a relaxed and memorable time. Can't wait to go back!
Amy M — Google review
This is the first time I have been at Devils purse. we got a table, and it was a beautiful day they were not very busy, but very accommodating were four of us. we hung out about a half hour, picked some glasses that were very cool, and plenty of parking and seating walked around, checking things out. I'm curious if they have bands. That would be great. We really appreciate the service and the great experience 🙌 we will be back.
Dan G — Google review
A gang of us went to hear The Cape Cod Jazz Quartet.... most our first time at DP.... I spoke to Brandon about having a bday cake for Steve ( he was trumpet player in the band) he let a friend of mine refrigerate a cake day before... Gabby helped me get set up with candles to have on break! She was a great help... the beer was delicious, The BBQ food truck was awesome too. A great turn out at an awesome Brewing Co. I hope they have us back. It was a great crowd !! We had a lot of fun! Thank you Devils Purse!
DLA 3 — Google review
Stopped by Devils Purse Brewing for the first time. They don't do flights, but you can get 7oz pours which allows you to sample. Went with Hen & Chicken, Pollock, Layering and Good Mud. Great local stop if you're in the area visiting or on the bike path.
Tim G — Google review
Fun spot! Taproom is small and there's not really any seating inside, but they have a great little outdoor patio area for good weather days. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer; I was particularly fond of the South Dennis table beer. Bathrooms are porta-potties, just something to be aware of before you go.
Kristen P — Google review
Friends told us about this craft brewery last night at dinner. So, we bought a couple of four-packs today. We got an assortment of Handline Kolsch, Stonehorse Citra, Pollock Rip, and Intertidal Oyster Stout. They didn't mind that we wanted to mix and match different beers, so we could check them out.

Fin, located in Dennis, MA, USA, is a renowned high-end eatery housed in an antique home. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience with an elegant ambiance and delectable sustainable seafood dishes. One of its highlights is the impressive selection of eclectic wines that complement the exquisite cuisine. With seating options both inside and outside on the patio, guests can enjoy elevated seafood dishes made with sustainable and local ingredients.
Fin was an interesting upper tier seafood restaurant located out in Dennis, Cape Cod. We were graciously greeted at the door as walk-ins and they were able to accommodate us very quickly considering we didn't have a reservation. Reservations do seem to be recommended to guarantee getting a table as the restaurant was packed! Our food looked very appetizing, the server was very knowledgeable about the menu, and the service was very quick. If you're looking for a most polished dinner experience, I highly recommend Fin. When we come back to Cape Cod for vacation we will definitely be coming back for more.
Jonathan I — Google review
Upon arrival, the host was not very happy when she found out we didn’t have a reservation (it seems like a place where you really should make reservations, noted for next time) but she was able to put us down for a reservation about an hour from when we arrived which worked out. We ordered the lobster donut to start and it was good and unique but don’t think I would order again. Then we got the salmon, a cup of the oyster chowder, and the heirloom tomato salad which was a special. The salad was just okay, I wish I could taste the summer truffles more but the tomatoes and burrata were fresh. The salmon and oyster chowder were both amazing and would recommend them, I would suggest a bowl of the chowder though - it was that good!
Olivia — Google review
An excellent meal in an intimate welcoming setting. Food and service were top notch, standouts were the lobster donut with caviar which sounds odd but was fun and delicious and The blue fin Tuna. We enjoyed each and every dish from apps to dessert

Incredible adventure in dinning….If you ant something Really Special…You will love Fin.
Kelley G — Google review
We heard many good words about this place, but we didn’t find it spectacular as it was presented to us. There were two items that stood out, the lobster doughnut, which is very interesting, and the scallops with pork belly (not in pictures). The rest of the dishes had a plain taste, however, very nicely looking. The arugula salad had 2-3 pieces of beets, and literally just a handful of greens.. Overall, we found it overpriced for the experience, considering that it is an old house and the floor was kind of crooked, so the table was also crooked. I would not call it fine dining, but upscale.
Chaffinch — Google review
The food had the atmosphere with delicate Japanese selections. However the fresh catch halibut was overcooked and dry leaving it tasting not de fresh. And the sushi rice was more like Minute Rice. The servers were inattentive and left me with oysters with no plate to eat off.
Nicholas W — Google review
What an amazing dining experience!! I dined with a party of nine and was able to taste several different menu items and I’m hard pressed to pick a favorite. The Tuna Tartar and Scallops & Pork shoulder were outstanding! The Birch Ice Cream dessert was a personal favorite. Would highly recommend to anyone on Cape Cod!

Restaurant
Experience the flavors of Tuscany at Pecorino Romano, a cozy Italian restaurant that offers a menu inspired by Tuscan cuisine. Indulge in homemade pasta and seafood dishes while sipping on fantastic Italian wine. While some diners have noted minor concerns about cleanliness and service, others have praised the exceptional food and attentive staff. From classic dishes like Veal Milanese to more adventurous options like lobster risotto, there's something for every palate.
We are frequent diners to Pecorino Romano..and we are VIP members also..We dined last night with another couple and the food was amazing…rack of lamb…shrimp fra diavolo to mention 2 …however our waiter was a bit abrupt and firm with us..We all ordered drinks and when they came he asked if we all were ready to order..we had literally just sat down so we requested a bit more time…upon his staunch remark was we only had 90 minutes in that booth and walked away!! We were stunned at the thought that we would “ tie” up our seatings all night!! He was not friendly and we felt almost unwelcome..

We have eaten here a number of times and always have had a nice meal and an entertaining time. Love that braised lamb shank is always on the menu. Staff is very friendly and most certainly worth the visit. Parking can be challenging at times.
Chris H — Google review
Don’t waste your $$! Food was bland. Oysters were horrible- sandy and a strange texture. Got the pasta fagiole soup, there may have been 2 beans in it with a few strands of pasta! Tastes like tomato soup from a can! Had pasta bolognese which tastes like ground beef over pasta. Flavorless. The wine was good, that’s about it. Service was underwhelming. Will not be going back.
Jules P — Google review
Great spot for an excellent meal and pleasant experience. Nice bar and outdoor seating. Love that Osso Buco is on the main menu. Cocktails were great, wish they had Ghost Tequila.
Christopher H — Google review
Our server was the best part of this experience. So sweet and an accommodating. There were two cockroaches at our table that scurried up the blinds directly next to me. We notified the staff and they did nothing about it. We then proceeded having to pay for our $277 tab, before tip. Yikes. So disappointing and not worth it. The food was very bland.
Lisa K — Google review
My wife and I, along with another couple, went here for dinner. The parking was not ideal. There were no signs to help you figure out if the options next to what appeared to be their own small lot were ok to use. The food was good but IMHO overpriced. Last, in my entire life I've never been told by a waiter or waitress that there's a time limit on a table (90 minutes) which our waiter did. The 4 of us were catching up, and all restaurants tell us to take our time as we are slow to review the menu. The waiter then gave us our bill without offering the dessert menu, and told us on 2 separate occasions when we were deciding on dessert that he was tending to another party so basically implying we needed to hurry up and decide. Needless to say we won't be going back.
Mike R — Google review
We left the waitress a 17 percent tip. She was unhappy with this and demanded a higher gratuity at our table. When I brought this up to mgt they said the standard tip was 20 percent. I always thought tipping was based on services rendered. We won’t be back and most of my friends in Dennis avoid this place.

Seafood restaurant
Chapin's Bayside is a laid-back eatery that offers a variety of coastal favorites, pasta dishes, and grilled steaks. The restaurant features a charming patio and a raw bar for seafood enthusiasts. Recent visitors had an enjoyable experience at the bustling Friday night spot, praising the quality of the food and drinks. The standout dishes included salmon and scallops, while the service received high praise for being friendly and efficient despite the busy evening.
Great date night with the wife while on vacation. The flatbread was amazing as well as my nashville hot chicken sandwich. And the cocktails were scrumdiddlyumptious. Joe the manager even "managed" to get me a Harvey Wall Banger. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

Service was slow. We called right before we got there and asked if there was a wait for 2. She said no, we have two tables open. I said I’ll see you in 2 minutes. We get there, I hate that they have valet and I have no choice in the matter to not use it. So we go inside and ask for a table for two and she has us waiting for 15 min for the table. Then we get to the table, and it’s this tiny thing squished in between two large tables full of people. I couldn’t even pull my chair out without hitting woman behind me. Waitress didn’t come for like 10 minutes. She didn’t really check in with us. I had to ask her for everything. The food was not great at all. $18 crab cake was mush and falling apart but tasted ok. Caesar salad looked like it was thrown on the plate and so sloppy and waaaay over dressed. My nachos were a joke. $18 for 8 chips with toppings on them and everything underneath was bare, no cheese, no chicken nothing. **see photos** probably will not be returning here and we are locals.

Chapin’s Bayside is a true summer classic — the kind of spot that instantly puts you in vacation mode. It’s the place to be when the sun’s out, flip-flops are on, and you’re craving something that screams Cape Cod. Their peanut butter mudslides are downright legendary. Rich, creamy, and perfectly boozy — they taste like summer in a glass and are worth the visit alone. However, the $45 lobster roll left much to be desired. While the portion looked generous, it was mostly claw and minced meat, lacking the plump, buttery tail chunks you’d expect at that price point. It didn’t quite deliver the wow factor, especially when compared to what other local spots are serving. That said, the service was excellent — warm, attentive, and upbeat, which definitely added to the experience. Chapin’s still holds its charm and is worth a visit, but for the lobster roll, you might want to look elsewhere. Just don’t skip that mudslide.

Stopped in for the first time in a while only because we knew it was under new ownership. We appreciated the valet parking and all employees were very polite and friendly. Had a couple of good cocktails, not as heavy handed as we like but still good. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service. Definitely will drop in again.

Very cool place and cool vibes. Music was great. Drinks great. Oysters fine, pizza small and just passable-nothing special. I am from MA and have ordered fish and chips a thousand times. The one I got last night is probably in the top 3 worse ever. Thin, dry, almost inedible. Look I really liked the place-my first time there. But man, figure out how to make a decent fish and chips for $27.

Chapins has always been a great place to splurge on drinks and dinner in the summer time. Have not been there in a few years. Always thought very good. Very disappointed tonight. The wait staff was very good. We were Looking forward to order the beer batter fish and chips which was one large piece for fish, It is now potato crusted fish, three small pieces. Grotons frozen sticks would have been the same in not better. We were served with a dirty water glass, ordered the steamed clams and hair in a clam shell. Then when we got the bill, we were charged for the clams despite informing of the hair. Now we under stand why the dining room was only filled about 25% between 5 and 6 pm on a Saturday night in August. Your location will still allows for customers but as a local, won’t be back. So sad.

We came to this spot on vacation to the raw bar to enjoy some fresh oysters. We were giving menus sat with them for over 10 min. No one from entry til we were about to order told us they don’t serve raw bar Monday and Tuesday until we tried to order. The menus we were handed had raw bar on them. We were not just going by online. So they gave us menus saying they had oysters tuna etc. but when ready to order we’re told we don’t serve that Monday and Tuesday. Hey I get when you are miles away from the ocean. But we are on the ocean. If it shared on the menus or on line we would have picked a different day to visit them. Just very disappointed with the overall experience. Just let the public know we don’t offer the menu we advertise or set in front of you during your visit.

First time eating here. All the great reviews on the cape cod restaurants group were correct. Cozy and warm, friendly service. Food was excellent. Started with quahogs which were loaded with clams. Great flavor. Enjoyed veal parmigiana. Pasta was cooked perfectly. Chicken Parmesan special with gigantic meatball and Pasta. What a delicious combination. We were expecting a delicious meal based on the ratings and ‘voted best’ signs. However, both entrees and appetizers arrived barely warm and overall salty.. When we told the waitress, she simply apologized but didn’t offer to take anything off the bill. Very disappointing.

Jasons Tavern is a great local restaurant. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Food is delicious and portions are big. You won't leave hungry.

The food was okay. The drinks were strong and the service good. The atmosphere was a bit dark and dated inside. Overall, not a bad dinner and great meeting family there. The ribs were fantastic!

Popped in here while visiting for an Army reunion. We had a party of 7 add Gail, our server was amazing. She was very nice and efficient. The food was also great! Thanks so much for a great experience!

Dennis locals, here. Service is hit or miss. Tonight, our server was the highlight of our visit! She was friendly and attentive. Maybe we ordered wrong, but the lobster in the lobster roll tasted “fishy”, the gravy on the KFC was bland. Clam chowder was very tasty and my kids never complain about a chicken tender. When we brought it to our servers attention that the lobster rolls tasted fishy, we were told that the lobster was thawed yesterday. Gross! I’ve never had frozen lobster in my life. Maybe that’s what it was supposed to taste like. My husband ate 1/3 of his meal before he gave up and they charged us full price, regardless. I’ll stick to burgers next time, I guess.

For a first-time visit, I found it to be fine. A wide-variety menu would seem to offer something for everyone. Several dinner specials offered, but end at 6 p.m. Our server, who was attentive, was so quick, you had to be quick to flag her down. Drunken Coconut Chicken, a menu cover feature, was tasty.

The burgers were so delicious. We got the East Dennis burgers and it had everything you could dream of on it. And it was all done perfectly. The bacon was nice and crisp, the sautéed mushrooms and grilled onions were soft and flavorful. The cheese was nice and melty. Fries were crispy and seasoned amazingly. I would give 10 stars if I could. Definitely a necessity place to go get a burger down the Cape
