Restaurant
The Square Root is a renowned restaurant in Brevard, NC, housed in a beautifully restored building with rustic details like exposed brick and colorful paintings. The establishment boasts an art deco bar and has been consistently voted as the best lunch and dinner spot for over a decade.
Found this after striking out at another place for a Friday night dinner without reservations. Seated immediately and began a good fest! The pretzel charcuterie board was amazing and huge. Paired nicely with a French onion soup and the trout entree. Very comforting inside vibe. Tables outside were a bit too warm on this July night.

My husband and I had a rare day off together and decided to check out Brevard. We stopped in for lunch and even though it was pretty busy, we were sat right away. The food was excellent. Very fresh with generous portions. We had the fried green tomato BLT and the London broil sandwich. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. We would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back again.
Alanna T — Google review
Excellent meal, everything was tasty and presented well. Connor did a great job taking care of our table. We got there at 5:30 on a Friday and got one of the last outdoor tables before the wait started. Popular place, will be back.
Robert C — Google review
I loved this place, a fun restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside, the staff were amazing and so informative. I loved that they had a little from different cuisines. We had the chicken curry, Brinjal pakoras, Fried green tomatoes and the Cedar salmon and for drinks we had the Basil blast. Everything was so delicious. The taste of the Indian food was so good, given it was majorly an American restaurant. We loved that our pet was accommodated.
Preethi K — Google review
Had a wonderful luncheon with the wife at The Square Root in downtown Brevard. My wife had the crawfish stuffed trout with lobster morney sauce which she enjoyed thoroughly. I had the duck l'orang special which was also amazing. Both came with house salads. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our food came out in a timely manner. The place was packed so we were fortunate to get a table without waiting. The noise level made conversation a little difficult. Weather permitting I would choose the outside patio over inside dining. Overall a great experience... 5 Stars!
Mark S — Google review
Quaint restaurant. A Brevard staple. Many restaurants here change over quickly and don’t survive the off season, but this one does. The food is 90% great. The Cobb salad is delicious. Yummy soup and entree specials change regularly. My husband got the peach pork dish and it was 100% raw in the middle, but other than that- great. The pretzel charcuterie is fantastic. Admiral cocktail was pretty good - a little pricey for lack of kick to it. Also beware of pricing. They don’t mark everything and dishes that sound simple are randomly $50+. Wine too!
Hillary H — Google review
We went for group event, and everything was wonderful. The food was superb. The Brussels sprout were so good we almost ate them all before we got photos. Honestly, that's how all of the food was--delicious!!!! We had Brussels, pork dumplings, fried green tomatoes, pretzel board, hanger steak, and the pork flat iron. All were delicious! Plus, the staff was friendly. Highly recommend.
Cortney S — Google review
Such a cute place with some local history. We enjoyed dinner tonight and dessert. The drinks were amazing! Brenton was our server and was very attentive and knowledgeable. Ask for him when you come in but I heard the other servers and they were very hospitable too! We tried the fall seasoned beets for appetizer and dessert was the peanut butter pie. Their decorator made the pretty flowers! They made our night perfect under the sting lights at the patio! Bravo!

Bracken Mountain Bakery, nestled on a charming street in Brevard, is renowned for its European-style breads and pastries as well as regional American baked goods. Using organic flour, this bakery crafts delectable treats that have garnered praise from visitors. The cozy establishment boasts a glass case filled with beautiful and delicious pastries, with the scones being particularly lauded. While some have raved about the friendly service, others have found it lacking.
Absolutely love Bracken Mountain Bakery. This is our favorite stop on annual visits to Brevard and follow their instagram page to see what we're missing when not in town.

The Mocha swirl cinnamon roll was pretty good but the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie tasted nothing like peanut butter and was fairly bland for even just a regular chocolate chip. I'd get the cinnamon roll again if I was in the area.
Matt A — Google review
We were walking around downtown Brevard and stopped by this small town bakery. We got a peach danish, peanut butter chocolate chip cookie, and treats for our pup. We enjoyed the peach danish, but the cookie left for more to be desired, just not something I would get again. Our dog loved his treats - but know they are definitely on the very hard and crunchy side if your dog is particular about their treats. I recommend if you are in the area by stopping by this cute bakery.
Megan D — Google review
These guys are so awesome. Their baked goods are amazing. The people that work there are so kind and polite. And it’s a nice place to hang out with loved ones. I get my sandwich bread here regularly, and to be honest, a sweet treat pretty much every week.
Serena S — Google review
I visited today for the first time from out of town.I wish this bakery was closer to where we live. The best oatmeal cookie I have since my grandmother died years ago. Went around 3pm and there were only a few items left. Tomorrow I am so looking forward to the raspberry scones with my coffee!
Angie C — Google review
Very friendly staff who are happy to chat about the selection and the area. Had a few different pastries and all were fantastic. I wish they had the danish style pastry without the filling - the slightly sweet, crisp but soft dough was perfect even on its own! Will definitely stop in next time I'm in Brevard.

We order from Bracken Mountain Bakery for our Saturday morning socials...Bracken offers a wide selection of pastries, everything is always fresh and delicious, and the ordering process has been flawless. Happy to support this great local bakery!

OMG! The variety of baked goods and breads are amazing, but you gotta be there early before they sell out. Coffee is from a local roaster and compliments the sweet goods any time of day. They have a few cafe tables inside for seating and a early rise, friendly staff ready to serve you. Don’t be surprised if you have to wait in line, even at 7am.

Cup & Saucer, located at 36 East Main Street in Brevard, is a charming coffee shop that transitioned from a mobile cart to a permanent establishment in 2018. They offer an array of specialty coffees made with ethically sourced and roasted beans from local roasteries like Methodical Coffee and Cooperative Coffee Roasters. The cozy ambiance makes it a popular spot where you're likely to run into familiar faces.
Love this adorable place! Coffee is fantastic and the people are so friendly. The ginger molasses cookies are seriously the best cookie I’ve ever had. We had waffle (light and fluffy), a cheese and egg biscuit (huge!) And a piece of quiche. All delicious. Highly recommend. Everything homemade and delicious.

Such a lovely, warm place! I got to meet the owner, and enjoyed learning about the business and the care they put into their food! I had a delicious warm biscuit with made-from-scratch blueberry jam and a lavender peppercorn latte! I will definitely be back next time I am in the area!

A great little coffee shop located in downtown Brevard. The coffee was good. The biscuit breakfast sandwiches were excellent. I had a bacon egg and cheese. My wife had a goat cheese, spinach and egg. You order at the counter. Pick up your drinks when they call your name. They bring your food to your table when ready. The staff was friendly and our food came out in a timely manner. 5 Stars!

Sweet little shop with plenty of interior seating and limited patio options. Great Sandwiches and coffee options. Their cold brew was delicious and good options for fresh beans ground for take home coffee. Atmosphere was welcoming and staff were very friendly. Wish there were more options for outlets for working professionals but can’t have it all. Cheers!!

I was really looking forward to this free coffee moment—Yay! It made my experience at CUP & SAUCER even better, on top of their delicious coffees, pastries, and food. Whenever I feel a bit isolated in this area, I come here without a doubt, knowing I’ll be welcomed by the friendly and warm staff. This place really helps me feel a part of the community. This coffee shop has truly hooked me!

Cup & Saucer is an excellent coffee shop in downtown brevard. The baristas were all very friendly and the coffee is fantastic. We had both a latte and cappuccino and enjoyed them both. Their breakfast option besides pastries was a biscuit with various toppings. The biscuit itself is already pricey, but you then have to pay per topping you add to the biscuit ($1 for egg, $1.50 for cheese, another $2 for bacon) it gets to be very expensive for a simple breakfast sandwich. The best part of the meal was the bacon so I would suggest that. If you’re looking for great coffee then this is the place! For breakfast options I’d look elsewhere.
Charles V — Google review
Such a great spot, delicious coffee. The biscuit sandwich with goat cheese & greens was super weird - amazing biscuit with tasty goat cheese but the greens was a big clump of what seemed to be microwaved frozen spinach, which was inedible. The goat cheese was good but also was a huge glop. Need to use fresh greens and spread the goat cheese and this would be 5 stars.

We had a really nice experience here - the environment is really open, calm and comfortable. The food was really good and moderately priced! This is definitely one of the best breakfast places in Brevard, if not the best. Our server (Aaron?) Was really cool and helpful as well. They have a lot of outdoor seating, clean restrooms, nice booths.. it was a really good experience and I recommend it to anyone in the area! The parking can be a little tricky, but there's lot of free parking in the street if you look hard enough.

Traveling with a group of 9 from NY, we happened upon Morning Social on the way to our Yellow Cottage rental. The staff are wonderful and the food is Delicious! Locally sourced fresh! We enjoyed eggs, burgers, roasted vegetables, gluten free French toast and more. The Bloody Mary and Bloody Marias were sooo good! If you’re in the area, they don’t disappoint! Check it out!!

Had a nice breakfast with the wife at Morning Social located on the outskirts of Brevard. My wife had the Greenhouse Skillet which she enjoyed. I had the pancakes with blueberries which were average at best. The coffee here is excellent! The atmosphere here is spacious with lots of room between patrons, so conversation is easy unlike many other restaurants these days. Our server "Croft" was friendly and attentive. Our food arrived in a timely manner. 4 Stars!
Mark S — Google review
Do not go here if you are hungry… otherwise great food and service and atmosphere! Got the farmhouse skillet. Avocado was more of a garnish and not an actual part of the dish. Prices were pretty low but I guess make sense once you see the size of what you are getting.
Caroline S — Google review
Located in an old warehouse district that is being rejuvenated into cool spots. The Social is located on the back right hand corner of the building. That is where you’ll see their rusty sign. We both got omelets with pimento cheese and spinach. It was really good.
Bowmanlaurapiper — Google review
One thing we liked about this place is it’s pet-friendly and the coffee they serve is amazing! We ordered skillets which taste good. Service though can be improved. Staff is not the friendliest.
Marou T — Google review
Always delicious! Sitting at the bar is a great choice to avoid a wait if you can. Service is exceptional, dishes are fresh and healthy and flavorful. Best mimosas in WNC. Thanks to Hannah!
Emmaline F — Google review
Fortunately the GM was behind the bar and made this experience wonderful. I'm very into the energy and vibe and his was so good as well as his service. Unfortunately the other person behind the bar as well as the hostess had almost the opposite energy. The food was good but not great. Tiny biscuit with the egg plate and the homemade jam was not very tasty. The topper was they wouldn't make my hash brown cake crispy. According, to the other person behind the bar, "because they're made in batches". The space is nice and I would probably give it another try but again, if it wasn't for the GM behind the bar it would have just been very mediocre, 3 star at most. Prices are on the high end but not ridiculous

The Oskar Blues Brewery Taproom in Brevard is a must-visit destination for beer enthusiasts. Located in an industrial setting, this popular brewpub offers a wide selection of craft beers on tap, including the renowned Dales Pale Ale and Hotbox Coffee IPA. Visitors can enjoy casual dining options and explore the retail shop while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere. The brewery also provides free tours, indoor and outdoor taprooms, live music, games, and food trucks for a complete experience.
This place is awesome! I’ve been here a couple of times as we have family in Brevard. This is the first time we’ve eaten here, though. Have to say, the ambience slaps. Live bands, sunset, full tables, kids and pups on a warm spring night. Can’t beat it. We had the burgers (you can tell they’re 100% beef), fries and dog bites. All of it was good, quality food albeit of the simple, bar variety. Still with the music and drinks we had quite a nice time. Best hard cider I’ve ever had btw, definitely a win.
Britni L — Google review
On a drive to Brevard I was excited to see Oskar Blues had a brewery taproom close by! It’s off the beaten path for sure so I was expecting a little bit bigger space. Don’t get me wrong, it’s big. But I was expecting massive considering how far out it is. There were so many beers available beyond the normal OB offerings and I had two beers that were very good. The normal OB beers are just fine, but the new two were much better than that. There were some games but was hoping for more. My expectation for a big name brewery out in the country means lots of space and lots of games and lots of beers. They did a solid job to meet expectations but not quite a 5. Excited to go back out again in the future
Michael D — Google review
Tried the Trail Raiser beer and really enjoyed it. The taproom has plenty of parking and a nice outdoor space to relax with a drink. Great spot to hang out and enjoy good beer.

Oskar Blues was the place we chose to hold our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. OMG!! The venue, and service, were off the hook! Meara, the taproom manager, helped us get everything set up. Scheduling, catering, special needs, etc. Not only that, she was pulling the tap handles. Talk about "hands on". The food buffet that was prepared by Christian was incredible. Literally the best Salmon I've had in my life... And I cook. None of our guests had ever had "corn ribs" before and they were a treat. We looked at other venues that were 20x $$$ what we paid and could not come close to the service. I swear, the next time I'm in Brevard, I'm renting the taproom out again and inviting my friends. It was such an experience. Patrick

Beautiful day today in Brevard, topped off by a very pleasant visit to Oskar Blues. Good beer and an excellent hamburger from the food truck. Nice operation with a wide selection of brews. This is a good spot to hang out with your family and friends.

The CHUBwagon was a huge hit with our kids again this year. They loved the fries last year. Raved that they were the best fries ever. Repeat experience in 2025. It is hard for me (and for my hubby) to beat a great burger and a flight of tasty brews & HAPPY kiddos!!
Ann M — Google review
Amazing place to host! We hosted our rehearsal dinner here and they gave us the taproom to bring in our own food. We sent people down to the brewery for their own drinks and they even had a ticket system so people could hand out prepurchased drinks. Perfect place for people to mingle and have access to the brewery. Staff was very kind!

Magpie Meat & Three is a trendy Southern restaurant that serves up delicious smoked meat platters and classic sides, along with a variety of craft beers. The elegant taproom in the beautifully repurposed commercial building offers a great selection of beers. Despite the pandemic limitations, visitors have raved about the friendly staff and delectable food, such as deviled eggs and Pig Wings.
This was such an excellent find! Our waitress was the perfect balance of friendly and professional while having an immediate response to our “What’s good here?”. The food was delicious. I ordered the fried catfish with mac and cheese, cole slaw, and fried green beans. Healthy potion of everything, yet also an attention to quality of ingredients. The mac and cheese was particularly excellent, as was the cat fish. Vast selection of local and regional beers served ice cold. Next time I’m down from Asheville, I will certainly be back!
Brayden P — Google review
I was recommended to try Magpie Meat & 3 by a co-worker from Central Florida. He said it was a must if you're in Brevard. Today was my first time trying it and I have to say he was right. Although I wasn't able to get the full experience because of the pandemic, the food here was really great. We started with the deviled eggs and Pig Wings. The eggs were nothing special but they definitely were good with the added hot sauce cup included. The pig wings were the star here. BBQ deep fried rib cuts had cripsy skin and baked on BBQ sauce.. wow. Just try them. I got the half rack of ribs on recommendation from the hostess and they definitely were right. They were fall off the bone and moist too. The ketchup style BBQ was very tangy and so good. You will be hard pressed to find better sides too. Macaroni was creamy and flavorful, the okra was steaming hot and crispy. A nice dark beer from their good selection really rounded out the experience. I will be going back soon.

Great place with really good bbq. The chicken and the sauces were particularly good. The outdoor seating area with a stage is also nice. Great area to hang out in general in Brevard. Make sure you get there at 2:00 pm to get the Ribs!
Trent D — Google review
Charming space with both indoor and outdoor seating. Everything was good but a stand out was the pulled pork. The craft beer list was also solid. Loved the house chicken and the mac and cheese.
Mike R — Google review
I was happy with my decision to go with a "vegetable" plate, though I would have been more than satisfied with just the mac and cheese and collard greens. The boiled peanuts were an experience (high marks from someone else who loves them), and the cranberry sour was pretty tasty. It's a bit out of the way if you're shopping on Main Street, but WELL worth it. Just be aware that the portions are extremely generous!
Beth J — Google review
This mac n cheese is probably in my top 3 of the best I've had in my life. However, we had a complicated experience when we went to try what all the hub bub was about. They had ran out of all BBQ, and they made us pack our own food even though it said that we wanted it to go? So many questions. Don't get me wrong, we will be back, as we loved what we had and want to try more when the time is right.

Absolutely wonderful place. They have a great selection of wine from various regions as well as a nice selection of beers. Menu is broken down by types (beer and wine) so you can easily find your preference. Prices were very reasonable. We enjoyed a bottle of wine from Italy! The the owner, Gary, is extremely knowledgeable and friendly as was Mary. They have specials on Monday and Wednesday's as well. We enjoyed it so much, we plan on going thee weekly. If you haven't been -- I recommend you do! You won't be disappointed. (Oh, they also have cheese boards, meat boards, panini's, soup and desserts. I can’t whine about the wine! Very good selection and good flights. Charcuterie was fun - we got the manchego, gorgonzola, Dare vegan pimento (as a dairy lover, this exceeded my expectations), salami with garlic, smoked trout and duck pate. We had a “grape” day!

Rocky's Grill & Soda Shop is a nostalgic American eatery located at 36 E Main St, Brevard, NC. It offers classic lunch counter fare such as sandwiches and milkshakes. The menu includes iconic bites like grilled cheese, BLT, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches made with bakery bread from nearby Bracken Mountain Bakery. The old-fashioned soda shop ambiance takes diners back to simpler times while the crowd-pleasing food ensures an enjoyable dining experience for all.
Rocky's is one of those charming, nostalgic spots that instantly brings back warm memories of days gone by. This authentic soda shop from the 1940s is the perfect place for a tasty breakfast. The French toast, drizzled with peanut butter, topped with crumbled bacon, and finished off with maple syrup, is both indulgent and absolutely delicious. Enjoy a cup of Pisgah Roasters coffee to go with it – they’re always happy to top you off with a refill! The simple lunch fare of sandwiches and hot dogs perfectly matches the nostalgic vibe, and the chocolate ice cream soda instantly took me back to my childhood. I also picked up a bag of beans next door in their adjoining gift shop to send home with my friend visiting from Toronto. The owners couldn't be nicer and more attentive. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun, tasty, and cozy spot!

What a time! My wife and I wanted to check this place out a year or so ago and seen it was closing for good, but lo and behold here it is! Turns out it was bought and the new owners relaunched it and is keeping it going! We were stoked to get here and check it all out. This is like an old 50-60’s diner and the food was killer!! My wife had the Carolina burger, and a butter pecan turtle milkshake to which after they filled her glass they brought the steel cup they make it in so she can have the rest that was left over! It was GOOD! I had the pimento cheese angus burger and a….wait for it.. CHOCOLATE EGG CREAM! Just like I remember being a kid!! It was SO tasty! We will be coming back and bringing my mom and her parents for sure!

My friend and I stopped to enjoy a malt and read while friends got a pedicure. The sweet treat was nice on a very hot day. Half the place was closed for a private event so it was chaotic. But it was nice. Cute little place. They have ice cream spots so you don’t take up counter space or tables, which was nice.

We stopped in as a family on a Monday afternoon while passing through the town, enjoying the sights and nostalgic feel. We slipped into the diner and had a bite to eat. I had the Ruben-style Grilled Rachel sandwich with gluten free bread and a side of chips. We all enjoyed our meals from burgers to tuna to soup to dogs. We finished off the dinner with shakes, enjoying a banana and peanut butter shake that is fit for the king.

We wanted a decent, affordable place to eat and apparently everyone else did too! The place was pretty busy. We had to wait for about 20 minutes, but that was fine because we got to check out some of the unique little shops. Our waiter was super friendly and was very knowledgeable about the menu. I got the tuna sandwich, which was pretty good with the brisket chili. Which was also good, but a little spicy! I also got a vanilla biscoff butterscotch milkshake. Yummm. They also have a cute little souvenir/gift shop next door which was super affordable as well and I got some cute stickers. 10/10. Highly recommended!

Came here with a group, was told we would need to wait 30 minutes to get a table, and that we would likely not be sitting together. I understand it was busy, but it seemed strange at a burger place. Stayed for 15 minutes and ended up going somewhere else to eat. Not reviewing food here as I did not eat, just reviewing overall experience. Place seemed popular and was packed, though. So could be worthwhile if time is not an issue.

Not a ton of vegetarian options, but the soup of the day (Pumpkin and Butternut squash bisque) was very good. They also have tomato soup, grilled cheese sandwiches and a bean-burger. If you eat fish, the tuna fish salad sandwich was very good on toasted rye. Coleslaw was okay.

American restaurant
Jordan Street Cafe, located at 36 E Main St, Brevard, NC, offers a laid-back dining experience with American cuisine. The restaurant features seasonal patio seating and serves a variety of dishes including steak, seafood, pasta, and burgers. Their menu includes appetizers like Buffalo Chicken Dip and Fried Pickle Spears as well as main courses such as Chicken Parmesan and Mahi Mahi Sandwich. Guests can also enjoy a Maple Walnut Salad or Homemade Bread with Pesto to start their meal.
Jordan Street Cafe is a hidden gem offering a great variety of American fare in a low-key, casual dining spot. Upon entering, you’ll stand in line to order at the counter, then grab a seat on either side of the restaurant. The staff will run your food to you and take care of clearing your table. Their burger and fries are a crowd favorite—always delicious, and I consistently get mine a perfectly cooked medium-rare. The Shrimp and Grits is another standout dish, with just the right amount of heat and a generous portion that’s great for sharing. I also recommend the maple pecan salad, which is fresh with mixed greens, and a flavorful dressing, and comes with the option to add chicken or fish. They offer desserts, and a full bar with signature cocktails, making it a well-rounded foodie experience. The focus is definitely on food quality rather than ambiance and decor, and that’s part of what makes this place popular with locals. I’ve brought small groups here, and each time, everyone has found something they enjoy and left with great things to say. Free public parking is available on W. Jordan Street, through the intersection on the left, just past the bank.

Great menu at Jordan Street Cafe! Bacon wrapped Trout on bed grits was delicious and highly recommended. Beer selection was good but wish it was more local craft beer than national brands

After reading reviews I decided to check out Jordan Street Cafe to see if their Jordan burger was indeed one of the best. I'm happy to report it was delicious. It came with crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheddar cheese, and dijonnaise (Dijon mayo). Their fries (which look like "swirls") are a delightful mix of crispy and soft & fluffy. Ask for their parmesan peppercorn dressing which is their version of ranch. Nice little twist to dip them in and a nice switch up from ketchup. The bartender said their sweet potato fries are the best so I'll try them next time. The best way to enjoy your dining experience is to first read the home page of their website. They don't have traditional table service, so you'll place your order at one of the bars, they'll give you an order # which you'll take to the table of your choice along with your drink. I chose to sit outside on the patio as it was a beautiful, cool evening. Someone will bring your food and some rolled silverware when it's ready. Meanwhile if you need more condiments, napkins, to go boxes etc it's all off to the side neatly stacked at the bar. If you want drink refills just go to the bar as well. So next time you're in Brevard, check out this little side street haunt. You'll be glad you did.

I love this restaurant and bar. We are patrons and every time we come in it’s a great experience. We love to talk to Brandon. The place is super cool and has two huge fig trees inside making it so special. The food is amazing I ordered the Hawaiian salmon wrap and my husband ordered the Jordan burger which were both delicious.

My husband and I went with friends and we were so happy we chose this restaurant. They must have an amazing chef because the food was wonderful. Although they have kind of self-serve when out of season the service was up and above! The atmosphere was wonderful with the plants and the quaintness of both the bar area and dining room. We had a really nice time because this all made it possible!

This is an easy, but root filled, trail. There is one spot that gets a little dicey if you aren't wearing the right shoes, but still not too hard. There's a wonderful view once you reach the shed and view of the falls. Definitely worth the visit!
Steph R — Google review
We loved this little trail. I learned this is privately owned and maintained. I love that the owners allow the public use of this area. And even maintain the building to view the waterfall from. There was a lot of trees down from Helene but to be expected. This is a fairly easy walk up but be aware of the slim trail with some step drop offs.

Quick, easy hike along stream to amazing falls. Very simple not hard hike at all. Kinda difficult to find the road there its off between houses but once do its worth it!

Great trail. Enter private driveway and continue to woods to enter parking space. Very clean runs along a creek till you get to the falls.

Took the wife, Kids, and some small dogs with us. It was a ton of gun. Not hard if you go to the falls directly. Great scenery and very pretty at the bottom.
Dylan B — Google review
It's a beautiful place, the trail goes along the river and very scenery, but to my taste quite short, you get to waterfalls really fast🙂. On a hot day, some kids are playing in the river. Of course, after the hurricane there're many dead trees laying around.
Katya T — Google review
Decent grade on parts, but not a far hike to view. Very unique waterfall with a nice built up overlook.
Matthew S — Google review
This was a very simple and sweet hike! The trail was beautiful and the waterfalls were absolutely gorgeous. This trail is relatively easy, it is not too long and took under an hour to get through round-trip. There is almost no incline so it is also not a very physically straining walk. The drive to the trail is also very aesthetically pleasing with the view of the mountains and so many beautiful fields. Overall, this trail was an 8/10 beginner trail. Highly recommend!!

We had such a great time here. It’s perfect for an afternoon date. Lots of things to find as gifts. I loved the specimens I found. Prices were also great. Located in a very nice down town spot with restaurants around. Parking was easy.

Great visit with our grand children. They loved the shop, in particular the prospecting. Micah was brilliant with the children, explaining about each of the rocks they had found. When he didn't know the answer to their question he went to his book. Service above and beyond!! Highly recommended.

See all photos— I think I got some good ones! This was extremely cool. Nice setup, very organized. Could find everything. So much to look at, its amazing. Very reasonable prices. High quality pieces. All different sizes. I’ve recently getting into spirituality such as crystals, singing bowls, meditation, chakras, etc so I really appreciate stores like this. It was refreshing. My boyfriend and I spent about 30 minutes in here but if we weren’t absolutely starving and rushing to dinner it could’ve easily turned into 2 hours. He bought some things too. What I ended up buying is in the last pic. So content with my choices. 🤩 ***Only “complaint” I have isn’t about the store in specific, but just something I wanted to mention about how early everything closes in Brevard. Need to be weary of that if you’re staying around the area coming from out of town, you might not be able to get anything to eat that’s not fast food after 6pm. Don’t really understand it.

Please like/comment if you find this review useful! Visited the Gem Mine 4th of July weekend and we had a blast. In our group was 3, 7, 9, 14, and adults! We all enjoyed the experience. Prices are reasonable and the customer service was phenomenal! There was a ton of things to look at and unique souvenirs to purchase of all varies prices. I think they are needing to expand their store to allot miners a little more room without being so close to the merchandise, especially for young miner and parent interaction. You can share your bucket!

CO y and June were so helpful. They helped us soothe for gems we got the green giant $66. A 5 gallon bucket it was $70.40 with tax. We found lots of treasures. We got two geodes and they broke them open at the shop for us. We also purchased cute jewlery at the store. They have cards on the significance of the gem.

We loved it! The staff was friendly, and made sure we had a good time. The store was beautiful, plenty of beautiful rocks to choose from. Mining was fun, the bucket we purchased lasted a pretty good while and we all could share it. We found a lot of beautiful gems!

Crystal Mountain gem mine was such a wonderful experience! Liz and Cory were so kind and knowledgeable. Their passion was evident and it really brought the energy to our experience!! Our daughters were thrilled with the gem mining experience and the price was super affordable!! We got the 5 gallon bucket and we ended up with so many breathtaking gems that were all a great size! We splurged and got 3 of our gemstones crafted into necklaces. I can not wait to see what beautiful pieces they'll end up with! The store was so cute. It had the best collection of crystals and fossils I have seen in ages. It alone was worth the visit. Thank you again Liz, Cory and Crystal Mountain Gem mine for the great memories on our vacation!!

Farmers Markets
The Transylvania Farmers Market, located at the corner of Johnson and Jordan streets, is a vibrant hub for locally sourced produce and creative breakfast options. This not-for-profit organization supports local food, small businesses, and farms within 100 miles of Brevard. On Saturday mornings, vendors offer a diverse range of goods to the public while live music adds to the lively atmosphere.
I go for the donut truck. Hard to miss - it's pink! 🩷 Fresh, hot minis - I like the cinnamon sugar but the Boston cream and other specialty donuts are good too. I recco the bucket if you have kids. Coffee is specialty roasted in town. Great pairing and super reasonably priced.

We walk here almost every weekend when the weather allows. Madison Bread (bagels), Bee Honey, and the balsamic vinegar guy are standouts. But get there early during peak season - the good stuff will sell out. In the winter, there are hardly any vendors, but it's still worth a visit to say hi to neighbors and friends.
Josh M — Google review
Review get pictures of bread The people selling were nice. Lots of natural and earthy items for sale such as vitamin water/juice, ghee, homemade bread like sourdough, punk in, wheat, multigrain, flax, banana, blueberry, etc. jewelry for sale too. I thought they’d have more people selling but there were probably 15 tents at 10/11 am when we went. The bread I bought was more chewy and harder than I expected it to be. I got the boost juice from a vendor there. I think it had turmeric ginger, and other fruits or vegetables in it. It was good, and I got a nice glass bottle out of it. The jelly tastes great, and was six dollars.
Rachel M — Google review
It's a nice market with a variety of vendors. It could use a coffee stand and more booths selling food to eat there. I bought habanero pimento cheese and unfiltered apple cider on my last visit.

There are certain vendors there that take their produce very seriously and it shows in the quality of what they sell. This is a small market so don't expect to be overwhelmed with choices and booths. We always visit the market the day before we drive home and load up on local small farm produce. We love supporting these people and we spend generously. It's a gem.

Silvermont Mansion and Park is an 8-acre estate in Brevard's downtown district, featuring a Colonial Revival mansion and well-maintained gardens. The mansion, with 33 rooms including a museum, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors can explore the wheelchair-accessible path through the gardens, as well as enjoy basketball courts, tennis courts, a children's playground, and picnic areas.
Love walking my small pup Jack here. There’s a paved path that meanders around the perimeter of the property, through a variety of mature trees, providing shade and interesting specimens to view. Each season offers pretty foliage or blooms to enjoy. There’s a lovely garden with benches and a pollinator garden along the path. You can spot white squirrels and a variety of birds at Silvermont. There is plenty of parking and public rest rooms on-site.

I really enjoyed the tour and the pumpkin festival this past weekend on October 11, 2025. I know a lot of love and hard work was put into making the experience what it was. I really appreciate all of their hard work. I wish they had different vendors and more activities. It seemed very family, friendly, and children’s centered. The live band/duet sounded great.

So pretty. White squirrels all over the property. The mansion was beautiful and I'm sure in spring and summer all the green spaces with the gardens are just perfect. I will come back for sure. Updated 1 year later for Halloween: the park and trail is amazing for visitors. Well worth the price for adults. The work these volunteers have done is just wonderful and cool and exciting and I am so pleased we took the chance to go down and enjoy it. The music was lovely. The pumpkins are beautifully placed and carved...just so darn creative. It was just perfect for my 2 year old T-Rex cub.

We toured the 1917 Silvermont Mansion on Thursday morning, the only time the second floor is open to visitors. The tour guide was welcoming and very knowledgeable and about the mansion and family history of the owners. The community rooms on the first floor were bustling with group activities, mostly for Seniors. We joined our daughter, two grand daughters, and yellow lab for a walk on the nature trail and the play ground.

This has been a place I have grown up using. They have tennis courts, basketball court, playgrounds and more. You can rent the mansion for events. My wife and I got married at Silvermont in 2007. They are always doing events on the property. It’s a great venue for almost any event.

I grew up right across the street from Silvermont, on East Main St, and spent much of my childhood exploring and playing there on the playgrounds, tennis court, and in the house. Recently I was able to do a family photography session at the mansion and in the surrounding gardens and gazebo. It was pouring rain but we didn't mind a bit - the wide porch gave us all the shelter we needed. It was so nice to go back there and visit a place that holds such precious memories of my childhood. I am so thankful that it is still standing and well taken care of.

Brevard Brewing Company is a laid-back and artistic microbrewery located in downtown Brevard, NC. It offers a tasting room where you can enjoy their housemade craft beers while listening to live music. This family-owned brewery specializes in lagers and has been serving its great beer since 2012. The brewery is proud of its friendly atmosphere, making it a must-visit spot for beer lovers exploring the historic and walkable downtown area of Brevard.
Great place to have a pint. We’ve been in several times in the past few months and really enjoy the beer and laid back atmosphere. The bartenders are friendly and helpful and make sure you’re never waiting for another beer or for your check. Can’t wait for our next visit.

We came in Sunday (during White Squirrel Weekend ) to try a different beer than we drank at the festival....what a mistake. The beertender wasn't friendly or warm, didn't look up to make eye contact, was quasi rude, actually, and HE made a mistake about not hearing correctly about a cider & gave me an IPA. I hate IPA more than any other beer, that's what my hubby was drinking. He didn't say sorry, didn't acknowledge he didn't hear correctly, infact he tried to do the blame game and say that's what you ordered, uh, no honey, I would never order an IPA, I know my taste buds. He had an attitude and took it away, replaced it, no eye contact, no sorry, just his pompous attitude. Needless to say, we'll never go back there or buy the brewery brand in any bottle shop if we see it around town. Beer was decent, but your front person put a bad taste in everyone's mouth. (Let me also say there were maybe 10 ppl at the bar/in brewery and half had been served so I don't want anyone thinking it was 25 deep & he was actually weeded - he was not at all, just clearly didn't want to be there). Sidenote, he didn't ask if we wanted plastic cups to walk around the district (or go to festival) and turned so fast when we ordered that you couldn't say anything else (clearly he left too fast to even hear my actual order) so when we asked for plastic cups after the fact he was even more perturbed. SMH

What a great friendly brewery! We have been several times and have really enjoyed not only the beer but other patrons at the bar. Very cool spot!!! We had the pleasure of passing through Brevard and it is such a cute little spot. We had picked out the brewery on the map as a reward for hiking lol. It was great. The bartender, Chris, was wonderful. He gave us a ton of recommendations on stuff to do in the area and it was a delight talking to him about his favorite beers and things. The brewery doesn’t serve food but has snacks like chips and pretzels, plus they allow outside food. Chris recommended the Mexican restaurant next door, a cafe, and even had menus ready for us. We wended up grabbing food from Big Mikes across the way. We came back for another beer and had a great time at the brewery. I loved the red ale and the Pilsner.

**Update -decided to make sure to get pics at the brewery and venture out for a short day trip** So we’ve ventured out more than once from Asheville to this gem on-site at the brewery however when your busy even getting their basic brews at the store is still worth it. Cheers !!!

Clean, nicely priced beers. I have to admit that I got used to a selection of different IPAs and funky styles and I am on the fence whether I should applaud this brewery for the purity of their line up and the generic names, or if it is a retro nove that will backfire. I was not too impressed with their American Lager and I couldn't shake the feeling of a skewed Feng shui.

The beer and cider were ok, but it wasn't very welcoming. We were looking for the Mexican food advertised on the website. The restaurant portion of the taproom was closed, no reason given. We were pleased with the SmashNC food truck but that wasn't what we were craving. (Spoiled old lady problems, it's true). Honestly, the vibe here is neglected. Please at least kill the weeds growing taller than the shrubs in the entrance. Also there is no table service if you are outside, yet that's the only place you can have a dog. If you come here without a partner to watch your dog, sorry. " No beer for you!" It's just ok.

We drove into town on Monday Oct 13, we were looking for a place to grab a bite to eat and watch Monday night football. We found the Ecusta Brewing Co. online, open until 9:00pm. We arrived at 7:45, walked into the building, there is a window to order food to the left, there were 2 people standing at the window, we peeked at the menu on the wall while we waited. After the 2 customers left the window, we noticed the person taking orders pulled a shade down on the window. We were confused, we peeked under the blind and asked if they were closed and they said yes. We stated the website said that you close at 9:00 PM someone else spoke up and said that’s only on the weekends. It appears that the brewery is open until nine but the food service inside is only open until 8 PM. They obviously saw us in line, looking at the menu on the wall. I would not be writing the bad review if the staff had explained to us that they were already closed, closing a few minutes early etc however, they just pulled a shade down over the order window. Very rude! Won’t be back. Turned out ok, we went to Corky’s Dawg House and it was delicious! Great service and they put the football game on for us!

I recently bought a bike frame from the Hub and asked them to build it up for me. Bill and the rest of the crew were so easy and pleasant to work with. They were very accommodating of all my requests. They gave me a great deal on all the parts and didn’t charge me for labor since I was doing a full build. Best of all, if I have any issues down the road, they will be there. So glad I decided to go local!

This was our favorite bar by far! Visited for 3 nights and our cabin was located walking distance from the tap house and it was perfect. Incredibly dog friendly with a very diverse selection of beers, seltzers, and CBD canned drinks. We came for one and ended up there every night to enjoy the draft selection. All the people there were very kind and generous with tips on trails and places to go. We are already excited to get back to Pisgah and the tavern.

I visited The Hub over the weekend after hearing great things from a local legend named Jose. While there, we got our bikes serviced, and the staff was knowledgeable and helpful. I experienced amazing customer service with Michelle—she was the sweetest person there, super attentive, and made sure all my needs were met. This place is a gem, and I wish we had more spots like it in South New Jersey!

I came from out of town on a Monday for a week to ride the Pisgah and DuPont Trails. First day out my rear shock blew and wouldn’t hold air! I brought a backup hardtail, but really needed my full suspension for a race on Saturday. The mechanics at the bike shop were fantastic. They worked with Fox to get my older model shock repaired and installed back on my bike before the race. They went out of their way to ensure the shock made it to the Fox repair center, relayed the urgency to Fox, and provided updates on the repair. I’ve been to bike shops that don’t care about urgent repair requests and just put you at the back of the queue with a smug look. Not at the Hub! Thank you for the great service and quick turnaround on the shock rebuild.

I had some mineral oil leaking on the front caliper of my bike. The guy was super helpful and he cleaned it and tightened bolt with hose attaches to the caliper and informed me that there was a crack in my caliper. But it wasn’t leaking after he tightened the bolt, but I would need to get the caliper replaced under warranty.

I’m a local here in Brevard and we are blessed with great bike shop. The Hub is the best in my mind. Their service is amazing and all around great vibe. I have to give Nate a specific shoutout. He is one of the most knowledgeable bike mechanics in our area. Lately I have been working on a hand me down 24” bike. When I work on bikes I usually make things worse and that is where Nate comes in. He also is sound kind to my 9 year old daughter. The Hub is a retail bike shop but what makes this place special is their employees. Keep up the great service!

I had my wheel set at four different bike shops in order to repair my Hadley hub. No other bike shop was able to do it. One bike shop even had the wheel set for a year. The hub at Pisgah had the wheel set for about five hours and was able to repair it same day! This is the best bike shop I’ve ever been to. Hands-down, not even close thanks guys.

Awesome selection of gear, food trucks are always solid, I got more use out of the bar side before I got sober haha- but if you like a cold beer after a big ride, they've got what you want. The service side of the shop is outstanding, the phrase one of them mentioned was "vacation savers"- they seem to have just the right parts and get jobs done quickly and at a fair price to get you back out on the trails for the day. Special thanks to KJ and Jeff!

Maya's Grill is a friendly and pet-friendly restaurant with delicious food. The shrimp dish is particularly amazing and the soups are made fresh, although there might be a wait due to being short-staffed. The service is top-notch, and the menu has been recently updated with great options like taco combo plates and fajitas. Overall, Maya's Grill offers superior Mexican food and excellent service that makes it worth visiting again.
Fantastic food, friendly service, and fun atmosphere. A great place for large groups or families. I had the shrimp quesadillas and the corn chips with salsa. Absolutely delicious!

First time visitors for lunch. Our server Chris was friendly and attentive. We ordered the poblano pepper, cheese enchilada, and chicken empanadas. The food was delicious and I would certainly recommend and visit again.

Had a very nice meal indeed. The shrimp was amazing and served with flair! Soups, clearly made fresh as some of the carrots were still slightly hard, but I am totally ok with that. Only drawback was waiting time, looks like they were short staffed. Place was really busy and I can see why, we will be coming back for more.

Everything was great! We missed the salsa bar being open due to COVID, but they did have some small sides if the difference salsas available. Spinach quesadilla was on point. The nachos were also good. Service was fast and friendly and we didn’t have a wait in the evening. Cheers 🍻

Restaurant
Quixote Fine Cuisine is a contemporary Mexican restaurant in Brevard that offers a unique twist on traditional Mexican dishes. The menu features familiar favorites with innovative twists, such as shrimp in chipotle-orange reduction and chicken in pecan and apple sauce. The restaurant's trendy layout includes a star-lit dining area and an outdoor patio for a laid-back dining experience. With authentic recipes from Guadalajara, the family-owned eatery provides an opportunity to savor genuine Mexican flavors.
Quixote is my go-to when entertaining out-of-town guests. The menu blends traditional Mexican flavors with a fine-dining twist. The Momias—bacon-wrapped shrimp with mango sauce and poblano pepper pasta is a personal favorite. The Salsa de Champiñones - pork, chicken or shrimp in creamy mushroom sauce, with vegetables is a close second. The carrot soup is creamy and addictive, and the portion is substantial. On this visit we opted for steak and salmon dishes. Quixote also boasts the best margaritas in town, with an extensive list of fresh, hand-crafted options (no premixes!). Beer enthusiasts will appreciate the extensive beer menu, offering everything from lights to darks to IPAs, plus flights so you can sample several. The dining room has a cozy and casual ambiance, and the noise level is low, so you can enjoy dinner conversations. During the warmer months I opt for the covered patio seating to enjoy the outdoors and live music. They can accommodate groups but be sure to call to book a table. Quixote is popular with locals and tourists and reservations are strongly encouraged during peak season. Visit their web to see all of their offerings.

We randomly stopped for lunch and we were nothing but impressed by the service, the quality and the atmosphere on top of the food being outstanding! Happened upon this nicer than casual restaurant while exploring Brevard. After a quick check of the menu online, you decided to try it. We had the Papas Lokas as an appetizer. Crispy crinkle cut fries covered with a tangy cheese sauce and drizzled with a flavorful chimichurri sauce. It was delicious. I had the Momias, a half dozen bacon wrapped shrimp hot a bed of poblano cream spaghetti. My wife had the pork Osso Bucco. It was a pork hock marinated with tequila and, what I would describe as l, cochinita pibil sauce. Slow cooked until it was fork tender. It was also served with a side of poblano spaghetti. Everything was delicious. We wanted dessert, but we had other stops to make for treats later. It cost about $75 dollars and was well worth the price. A very unique Mexican style menu. We will come again when we return to Brevard.

It’s rare to find a top notch higher-end Mexican restaurant outside of major U.S. cities (and México, obviously). This place was a delight from the care of the servers to the attention to creating quality food, some of which doubles as art. I will definitely be back!

Came to lunch on a Friday. Not many customers at 12:15. We were greeted quickly and very friendly. We started with the guacamole appetizer. Lots of nice fresh chips on the thicker side. The guacamole was little sour for my taste but fresh and plenty. We had the chicken enchilada lunch menu item. Nice rice and surprisingly good white bean side dish. The enchilada was loaded with fresh white meat. Nothing else inside so dry. Great cheese on top and a little bit of sauce. A nice lunch portion and price. Will come back and try dinner.

Dislaimer as most people know. Everyone has different tastes so keep that in mind. Stopped in for a late lunch and started with guacamole and chips and a strawberry cider which was a great cider. We expected more from the guacamole, which was made with tomatoes, onions, cilantro and lime. It was made of mostly chunks of tomatoes, onions and some chunks of guacamole. Would have liked more of a guacamole with some tomatoes and onion, not mostly tomatoes and onion. Also shared the Pollo Con Manzana Y Nuez, chicken breast in a creamy pecan sauce, with crunchy apples and rice. It was not quite what we expected, as it was more of a soup consistency, and not creamy like you would think of a chicken cream sauce. Not a lottery of flavor. The male server was very friendly and pleasant although we waited around bit to get our order taken.
Steve N — Google review
Great servers. Shrimp tacos with flour tortillas and trio dip were bomb. My ma gets the bacon wrapped shrimp and pasta. Hubs got fish tacos. Papa got barbacoa dish. I had the elderflower mezcal margarita which was bomb.

Here visiting in town for a short day trip. There was booth and table seating options inside and a nice covered patio. The bartender and the staff were friendly and attentive with good brew and drink specials. We were able to order and get our food quickly. The issue we ran into was disappointment regarding the food and some portion sizes. The $$7.99 guac and chips mainly was just chips. The sauce in the mole had a super sweet bbq syrupy sauce taste and didn’t feel authentic. The rice was unfortunately unseasoned and plain. We did catch them before lunch and dinner reset but was hoping for a better visit. Can’t really recommend this place to others the way it is currently.

Dolly's Dairy Bar & Gift Shop is a charming gem located in Brevard, North Carolina, perfect for those looking to indulge in delicious homemade ice cream after a day of exploring the stunning waterfalls nearby. This delightful spot offers an impressive array of flavors, including classic favorites like vanilla and peach, as well as unique seasonal creations inspired by local summer camps. The vibrant exterior adorned with cheerful colors invites visitors to relax under the awning in cozy Adirondack chairs while enjoying their treats.
The best ice-cream i ate in the US so far. Really worth a visit. Good prices and the portions are huge! They get closed seasonal in October and open again in spring. That's why many flavors are running out now (September). Perfect ice-cream on a sunny day or after a good hike or bike-tour.

Dolly’s ice cream is one of my favorite ice cream places in the world. I could never ask for any more ice cream. I wake up thinking about Dolly and I go to sleep thinking about dollies they’re freshly made ice cream. I don’t even know if it’s freshly made but it taste so good and the staff here are so kind and welcoming, and it takes literally the snap of my fingers to get my ice cream

Dolly’s Dairy Bar & Gift Shop is the kind of place that makes you slow down and just enjoy the moment. My wife and I stopped in and tried the cookies and cream along with the praline pecan ice cream. Both were absolutely delicious. The cookies and cream was rich, creamy, and packed with big chunks of cookies in every scoop, while the praline pecan had that perfect balance of sweet and nutty with just the right amount of crunch. What stood out to me was how fresh everything tasted, it’s clear they take pride in what they serve. The portions were generous too, and by the time we were done, we were already talking about what flavors we’ll try next time. On top of the ice cream, the atmosphere in Dolly’s is warm and inviting. It has that local charm where you feel welcome the moment you step inside. Plus, the attached gift shop makes it more than just a stop for dessert, it’s an experience worth sharing. Five stars all the way. This is one of those places you’ll want to keep coming back to, and I’m looking forward to uploading a photo so others can see just how good it looks too.

Some of the best homestyle ice cream I’ve ever had and it was honestly such a surprise given the location. The peach and coffee in particular were stand outs but ever flavor we got was surprising with how flavorful and natural / fresh tasting they were. 10/10 recommend stopping here after your hike

A well-loved ice cream window you walk up to, plenty of seating outdoors. The line was long, but it moved quickly. Delicious and unique flavor combinations. Parking looked very crowded when we arrived but that is also due to a river rafting company using the same parking lot. The gift shop was closed when we were there.

Love Eat Thai Kitchen is a top choice in Brevard, North Carolina for those craving the comforting flavors of Thai cuisine. The restaurant caters to both meat lovers and vegans with its diverse menu that offers options easy to substitute with tofu. Visitors can enjoy the inviting ambiance while savoring dishes like Basil Chicken, Pad Thai, or Pineapple Fried Rice. Additionally, takeout orders maintain their quality, making it a great option for those wanting to enjoy a cozy night in.
I was lucky enough to find Love Eat Thai Kitchen today. Service was great, atmosphere was wonderful and the food was simply amazing. I ordered the pineapple fried rice and the waitress suggested I make it a combo to include salad and spring roll for $3. I'm very glad she did because the peanut dressing and salad were spectacular. When the fried rice arrived I was taken further in too gastronomical bliss. All the ingredients were fresh and the taste was excellent. Spice level was perfect as well. I'll certainly be back and highly recommend. Now time to waddle out since I ate so much

Love that this place stays open until 9, there aren’t many late dinner options around, so this is a gem! The menu is huge with tons of variety, including some great vegan options. I had the crispy hainan chicken and the tofu fresh rolls and both were absolutely delicious. The outdoor seating area is spacious and really nice for a relaxed meal. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!

The food was really good! I was really impressed that when you ordered the seafood they actually give you giant whole scallops and not the tiny little cheap baby scallops so I was really happy with that. I would say that the meat portion is still small but I enjoyed it. Almost any dish they can make gluten-free and that was something that was really exciting to me and I really appreciated that. I enjoyed what I ordered and I would definitely come back here again

Food was decent. Not great, but ok. We had pad Thai, Thai fried rice, and noodles, with crispy shrimp. Crispy shrimp was mainly tasteless, not really anything to call home about, but was at least a generous portion. Thai iced tea was tasty. No one was unhappy with their meal in our party, so 4 stars overall, but food wasn’t something I’d need to have again having lived in Southeast Asia!

My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch while visiting Brevard NC. The welcome was evident from the start. I had the Green Curry with Pork and he had the Cashew Nut with Chicken. Both were ample and delicious. The medium bit of heat in the dish was just right. I liked the eggplant bits in the curry, as I have been wondering about ways to incorporate that in some home meals, too. The rice was perfect. Staff here were attentive and gave excellent service. The musical ambience added to the experience and gave a feeling of relaxation and peace. We will be back on later visits!

Multiple arts buildings with multiple disciplines of art. We visited the museum of art that had some interesting paintings from various artists. It was small, but the displays were placed well and it seemed larger than it was. Free admission was a good thing also. Would recommend this Cultural Center to anyone who appreciates expression and imagination.

The ART Loeb Trailhead (south) offers a challenging hike that includes several famous peaks and amazing views. The trail is narrow, but the beautiful 360-degree views make it worth it. Hike the whole Arlo trail straight through northbound. Took us about 16 hours it was pretty difficult but incredible! The trail can get pretty rough at times and very steep. Water is tricky on this hike I suggest bringing a water filter
Charles R — Google review
Trail is approx 30 miles from end to end. I hiked south bound and did the trail in a little over 12 hours. Some of the trail is extremely well marked and other spots will have you questioning your sanity. Plenty of hikers on the weekends and borderline over-crowded around Black Balsam Knob. Water sources were available every 5-7 miles. The elevation change around Pilot Mountain is the absolute hardest part of this hike. Hiking poles very much recommended. The treated lumber steps around BRP can get slick, as in I slipped and fell with hiking poles. Overall a very enjoyable hike, flower gap delivered on its namesake. Hiked the end of September and leaves on the beech trees were the primary color makers thus far.

I don't go there for hiking, but to fish the Davidson River. Such a beautiful place, if I was dropped off there with no clue to what part of the country I was in, I would guess Northern New Hampshire or Northern Maine. (All fish were released unharmed)

Very beautiful scenery on the Art Loeb trail on Black Balsam Knob. Rough Rocky hike but worth it all. You can park on road or further up in lot. We saw a lot of birds soaring on a windy day. There is another trail: Sam Knob trail that is more for family with younger children. We did see peeps pitching a few tents but not sure if permits needed. Enjoy🌞😌

If you're section hiking or backpacking, this is a tough trail. Going NOBO is no joke! Do your research if you are camping on this trail. Some water sources are seasonal so don't plan on constant water sources. There are two shelters along the trail and that is where you'll find your constant water source. There are no privies so get used to squatting in the trees. Be sure to dig a hole 500ft away from water sources so you don't contaminate good drinking water. Be prepared for chilly and cold nights at the higher elevations. Always be prepared for cold weather to pop up. Elevation gain going NOBO is pretty strenuous with lots of switchbacks. Once you get to the BRP and a little further up from it is when it levels off. Going SOBO has its challenge as well once you hit the narrows. The elevation gain in there is rough with steep ledges. There are a couple of good water sources right away in between camp Daniel Boone and the camp site before the narrows. These could be seasonal water sources so make sure you're prepared with plenty to drink. Enjoy the trail! Give the trail its due respect because it'll make you work for it! It's a great training trail for anyone trying to get in shape for hiking and packaging the AT.

Amazing time doing this thru hike! Three days of being out in the woods with amazing views, trails, and some hectic weather. Spontaneous trail magic at a crucial climb helped us and two, one day thru hikers who were out of water. Camping out on Black Balsam Knob during 40mph winds and freezing temperatures really tested us and our gear. 10/10 will do again!

Downtown Chocolates in Brevard is a charming chocolate shop that offers a wide selection of hand-crafted artisan chocolates, all made in-house. The store is known for its fantastic variety and always fresh chocolate goods, making it a must-visit spot for both locals and tourists. Despite the limited parking, the high-quality and diverse range of flavors make it worth the visit.
Their truffles really are quite excellent. They offer a wide selection and it is reasonably priced. I have been able to try many different flavors and they make it easy to buy a sample pack with what you choose. The coffee is absolutely awful, but you get what you pay for at a dollar per cup. It just tastes like they haven't descaled the machine and it is acrid and cold. Overall, it's a really cute store, and the chocolates make a great gift.

Great chocolates! I did not sample the truffles but they had a wide variety of them. The espresso dark chocolate bark was delicious. It was my favorite and I regret not getting more before leaving Brevard. The salted caramel dark chocolate was also excellent. It's an affordable dining option with a friendly atmosphere and engaging owners. The interior is inviting, set with music and paintings, making it a delightful place to enjoy a meal. Customers highly recommend the Mac Burger and praise the attentive service from staff members like Kara.
Excellent service and food. Our server was attentive and helpful. They allow you to sample a beer on tap before buying which I thought was great since the selection available was unfamiliar to me (FYI, the lager was great!). The Buffalo wing were crispy, juicy and well coated. We found them to be the best we have had in years and we have been searching all over Charlotte for good wings. Burgers were large and very flavorful. Onion rings were great. We left quite full and jolly! My wife is a wing lover and she was impressed by this place. Too bad they are so far from home. The place is downstairs in a cozy area with good music.

The food is as good as it looks! Football is as coming on so I figured this was the best place to be to watch it. The burger was excellent, jalapeño poppers were FANTASTIC, I never knew bacon wrapped poppers were a thing but this was def the highlight of the show. The habanero wings and honey lemon pepper were cooked to perfection. Then washed it all down with a Bold Rock cider. If I ever had a reason to visit this area again I would certainly stop by

Great service and food was perfect. We enjoyed burgers several ways and all were very tasty. I have an addiction to the onion rings because they are crispy and not at all greasy. The sweet potato fries are good but that is not my thing.
Eddie B — Google review
We spent the day riding and just wanted a simple place to get a good burger and a beer. Gotta be honest, when we walked in the place was dead and we got a little worried that we picked the wrong spot. It was quiet and dim and the vibe was like a college apartment basement. BUT, the server was friendly and attentive, the beer choices were solid, the burgers and fries were exactly what we wanted, and the price was surprising low for what you get. Low key, no frills, but exactly what we needed.

Such a great place. The wife and I went tonight and it was top notch. Food was fresh and so flavorful. We the mac attack burger, Classic burger, Buffalo and Garlic Parm wings along with the jalapeño poppers. All excellent, definitely 10/10 will be back!

Great service and friendly staff — you can tell the owner goes out of her way to make sure the kitchen, bar, and floor all run smoothly. We tried a variety of wings and appetizers and were blown away by both the taste and quality. Honestly, there are no better wings in Brevard! Whether you’re local or just visiting, you’ve got to stop by Papa L.E.W. If you’re looking for a unique venue with a true “speakeasy” vibe, check out The DFR. You get your own bar, dedicated serving staff, and a stage that works perfectly for karaoke, a DJ, or even a live band. There are also plenty of fun games and activities to enjoy with your group. Both Papa L.E.W. and The DFR are worth the visit — good food, great atmosphere, and even better people!

I was already disappointed because we were waiting so long for a table and then the food was limited on what they had available no apologies given. Intimate everything worse it was a party of six true but it was three kids and three adults we were charged with gratuity which I asked my server about and I was told that it was on the menu that a party of six or more is gratuity when I asked to see the menu she said it was on the old menus when I asked to see the manager the manager / owner then told me that she had the right to charge whatever she wanted to charge which I think is unfair and a rip-off at that point I was upset so I told her I did not want the to go dessert I was then told that I had to pay for it! Would I suggest this place to anyone else would I go here again never! This is a hole in the wall in a basement that needs to stay there Underground!
Nikia M — Google review
There was a sign at the reception desk that asked guests to be patient because they were short handed. However, they were quick to seat us and the service was prompt out orders were taken quickly. The burgers are outstanding as are the fries and onion rings. The waitress kept our drinks filled and the service was great.

Seafood restaurant
Nestled in the mountains, The Falls Landing Restaurant has been a staple in downtown Brevard since 1993. It's a popular spot for both locals and visitors, so reservations are recommended. The seasonal menu offers a variety of options, from salads and sandwiches at lunch to seafood specialties like crab cakes and blackened shrimp skewers at dinner. With its romantic ambiance, this seafood eatery is a delightful destination for anyone visiting Brevard, North Carolina.
Falls Landing is a wonderful restaurant. I sat the bar and met some lovely local ladies. The owner, Mike, suggested the trout which was delicious accompanied by a potato cake which I loved. A really nice atmosphere and even a wall with camp memorabilia from the area.

We visited Brevard for the White Squirrel Festival and came across this small, charming restaurant. The menu looked good, so gave it a try later that evening. We had made reservations for two ahead of time and were seated promptly. We both started with a bowl of New England clam chowder. It was good , but barely warm. I had the Fresh North Carolina Trout, sautéed and served with lemon herb butter, mashed potatoes and asparagus. I really enjoyed it. My husband chose the Filet Mignon with borderlaise sauce for his entree which was cooked to perfection. Carrot cake and chocolate lava cake with ice cream completed our meal. Our waitress, Shannon was very sweet and a great server.
Kathy K — Google review
Easily made reservations by calling the restaurant. Nice atmosphere and server Mandy was terrific. I’m vegetarian and enjoyed the pasta in a creamy white sauce with veggies and a very crisp side salad with delicious blue cheese dressing.
Silvey M — Google review
We have eaten at The Falls Landing on prior visits. Always great food and service. On this visit for lunch the Rainbow Trout Lunch Special was terrfic. The trout was very good with rice and fresh green beans. Our waitress was very good, too. Note when checking hours of operation, they are closed mid-afternoon and reopen for dinner. We thought it was closed one afternoon and it was because Googlemaps showed closed yet it re-opened at 5:00PM. They have a small bar inside and nice booth and table seating.
Charlene M — Google review
What a wonderful dining experience! Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable. My salmon was cooked tender and moist. The pork chop was tender and moist, served with mushrooms and onions. I would highly recommend The Falls Landing.
Cathy G — Google review
Food not hot, and not good. Service was not bad, but the both room was in bad shape and unacceptably dirty. My sandwich was really just not tasty at all. Not sure what the attraction is here, other than being downtown in a tourist area.

Wife and I had dinner here last night. Initial impression the dining area was small but "intimate". Christine was wonderful. Hot Wingz were PERFECT and DELICIOUS. My main course was the linguini with blackened chicken. PERFECT and DELICIOUS. My Wife tried the Fish n Chips. She wasn't overly impressed. Mentioned not much flavor and the "McDonald's" fries were barely room temp, but tasted fine. An honest review. We will DEFINITELY BE BACK When in Brevard. Prices $$$

Great selection of salads, sandwiches, and entrees. The Salmon BLT is delicious and it comes with a generous portion of fries on the side. Service is quick and friendly

Mayberry's Soups & Sandwiches is a lively spot that offers a variety of sandwiches and soups in a cozy setting with wooden floors and a relaxed ambiance. It's known for its casual atmosphere and diverse menu options. Visitors can expect warm hospitality from the staff, making it an inviting place to stop for lunch or brunch. The eatery is popular among locals and visitors alike, offering delicious options like cheesy potato soup and apple bacon sandwich.
Went for lunch with another couple. One was gluten free. Good menu, but not too big. Waited on a line to order. Took a bit, but it was prime lunch time. The girls who took our order and served us were great. Food came out fresh and hot. Also had soup.

The service was slow - 30 minutes for a burger @ lunch after waiting 20 minutes for our table. They do offer text table notifications so you can go shopping and wait somewhere else. The burger was definitely on the rarer side so if you are all hesitant on cooking temperature go one setting more. Lots of options for burgers. Fries were a bit bland. Lunch to be honest was mediocre but I would give dinner a chance with the chef. Photos as of December 2020

I like that they are open bright and early on a Sunday morning at 8 AM. I had the egg veggie scramble and it was plain and simple, but that’s perfect for what I like. Service was great, people are friendly. I am not a fan of plastic silverware and cups, but other than that it was a great place.

Fantastic! All around great food. I try to only stop at local spots when I travel and this will be pinned as a return. Both my wife and my food was great. Staff is friendly and good beers! Well done guys!

We travel to Brevard at least twice a year to take advantage of the outstanding mountain bike trails, however, we also love visiting downtown for shopping and dining. By far, Mayberry is the favorite of my daughter, and she never misses an opportunity to get us in for a bite. The staff is always extra friendly, and the wait is not bad. I personally have had at least 5 different meals, and my family tends to stay with their favorites. The food is consistently great and served quickly.
Steve W — Google review
Always delicious. Never had a bad meal here. My favorite is the Cuban sandwich. Spinach salad is great. Soups are good. And there is usually a daily special I want to try. Nice friendly staff. Don't let the long line scare you. It moves quickly. The photo attached is of the meatloaf grinder. If in doubt, go with the meatloaf.

Sometimes food is so good that after I’m done eating I don’t remember chewing my food because I shoveled into my mouth so quickly. That was my experience at Mayberrys. Delicious food you’d make for yourself. Tomato basil soup and 10 layer salad. Can’t go wrong.

Japanese restaurant
Sora Japanese Restaurant is a delightful culinary destination that immerses you in the rich flavors of authentic Japanese and Thai cuisine. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by an atmosphere that exudes elegance and artistry, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The menu is a true work of art, showcasing an impressive array of sushi options alongside bold hibachi and teriyaki dishes. Many visitors rave about their sushi offerings, often served on charming boats for added flair.
** back again and amazing! Shout out to Trish at the Pisgah National Park Gift Shop for the recommendation. Order the bento box for dinner and it was a dream come true. The tempura was phenomenal. Chicken was perfect and truly enjoyed the dumplings. Service was fast and friendly. It’s in a strip mall and on the outskirts of Brevard but don’t let that stop you some getting some amazing Japanese cuisine.

We visit this establishment regularly and everything is perfect each time. The food is amazing and prices very reasonable. The staff is friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is cozy. We eat out often and not just in Brevard, and this is by far, on of my favorites!

For a strip mall in brevard, this place is wildly hopping. The service is superb. They brought us food within 5min of ordering even though every table was full and the takeout customers kept rolling in. It was my first time. Very impressed. I only eat veggie sushi, but my husband said the other rolls were good (imitation crab - simple menu, nothing real gourmet).

Really nice place. Good food and atmosphere. Our server was great and paid attention to us even with a full dining room. I had the chicken Pad Thai which came out pretty quickly after we ordered. The taste was great and the presentation is very pretty. Portion size is awesome as I had some left over, so I get to have more today. Very nice overall resteraunt in a strip mall.

Bracken Preserve is a stunning 400-acre forest located near Brevard, North Carolina, close to the Brevard Music Center and Pisgah National Forest. The well-maintained trails are marked with informative signs and offer a mix of inclines and smooth paths suitable for hiking or mountain biking. The area features approximately 10 parking spaces and offers a loop hike of about 5.2 miles, with streams along the way providing water sources for dogs.
Great 7.2 mile loop. Water features and great challenging trails. May be the only trail opened in Western North Carolina at this point after Helene. Loved it. I will be back again this weekend.
Michael R — Google review
Surprisingly better than I expected. There’s miles of trails here, some of it is shady some isn’t. Steeper inclines than most trails, but not terrible if you’re in good shape. I saw a couple of red salamanders and I really enjoyed the falls, ferns, and overall beauty of the preserve. Only drawback, no restrooms.
Thirteendays — Google review
This has to be one of the most well maintained trails I have been on thus far. I also appreciated how well marked the trail was. There are plenty of trails to explore and I would say they are at a moderate level. Beautiful scenic areas as well.
Kimika C — Google review
Well maintained trail near downtown Brevard. We would say a moderate trail. We heard amazing music coming from the Brevard Music Center as we were returning to the parking lot around noon.
Kei R — Google review
Great place for a nice hike with our dog. Starts out with a slightly strenuous uphill hike but after about 0.7 miles it levels out. Very well marked and very clear trail. We ended up staying on blue for the entirety of the hike and just did an out and back, so not sure what the red is like.
J B — Google review
Nice trail but not for a beginner. Don’t even try with a mountain bike if you’re not a pro.
Andrei D — Google review
A great place to go hiking. Very clearly marked trails. But beware, it's not an "easy" hike. Starting out from the parking lots, there is a rather steep incline. I thought I was in pretty good shape, but I was seriously winded. Also, be careful with roots embedded in the trail. There are some difficult areas. Overall, a very well maintained trail.
Ken P — Google review
Just a couple of trails looped together but makes for a nice walk. It's about 4 miles, half up the hill, half down. It can prove to be a bit strenuous for the less-than-athletic hikers. Great for walking with dogs--there are streams crossing the trail at fairly regular intervals in 3 places which means you don't have to carry all that much water.

I just want to take a moment to say how grateful I am for the Brevard Music Center Summer Institute and all it has done for my daughter Madison. The preparation she received there has been invaluable. Madison is now a freshman Viola Performance Major at Lawrence University, where she was awarded a $152,000 scholarship. Everything Madison is doing now—musically, academically, personally—she’s already had practice with through her time at Brevard. Nothing has felt foreign or overwhelming to her. She walked onto campus confident, capable, and completely at ease, even though she’s in a new state, far from home, starting this new chapter on her own. I've always known she was gifted, but I have to give credit where it’s due—the Brevard Music Center Institute poured so much into her. The guidance, training, and encouragement she received there didn’t just strengthen her as a musician, it gave her the confidence to step into this next chapter without fear. As her parent, I will always be grateful for the role Brevard played in her journey.

We're grateful that we attended the Mountain Song Festival Friday afternoon. Honoring Covid requirements, we wore masks, checking in to be cleared, then waited in line to enter. Thank you Sun and clouds with a breeze. How about that? We found ourselves in second row seats that were great. What awesome music! Such talent! We loved each moment of The Steep Canyons Rangers, Oliver Wood and Mavis Staples. Thank you Brevard Music Center.

Enjoyed Wynton Marsalis concert. However, parking situation was horrible. Very unorganized and very young looking kids showing directions. Parked some vehicles 3 deep. Very congested trying to leave, and dangerous walking to vehicle in the dark. BMC should have hired law enforcement to manage parking.

Big big big huge parking non organized problem , plenty of parking however bumper to bumper single slow moving takes 45 min to go one mile to center , ridiculous and missing concert with reserved tickets because can’t go one mile to parking area ! So will miss first 30-45 min of beginning of concert , big not fare problem , entered to the one mile away drive to parking area 20 min in advance and sitting in a barely moving line to Winton M concert on June 25 2024 BMC needs Nees to let concert audience know they need to enter one Mile road 60 min in advance in order to park car !! Art gallery
The Lucy Clark Gallery is one of my favorite spots in Downtown Brevard! This beautifully curated space showcases a stunning collection of works from over 30 talented artists from around the Western North Carolina area. As an artist and collector, I’m continually inspired by the exceptional talent and diverse mediums showcased throughout the gallery. From intricate wood carvings and metal sculptures to hand-dyed fiber art, including scarves, and an extensive selection of jewelry, art lovers will have a hard time choosing their favorites to take home. The paintings, inspired by nature, the mountains, and the tranquility of the region, perfectly capture the essence of this beautiful area. Lucy, the warm and welcoming owner, is always eager to share the stories behind the artists and their creative processes. Her passion for the gallery and the artists she represents is evident in every detail. The space is frequently refreshed with new inventory, ensuring there’s always something exciting to discover. If you’re looking for that special piece to add to your collection or gift to someone special, you’ll find it here. You can also shop the Lucy Clark Gallery online! Almost all Main Streets in North Carolina mountain towns have an art gallery or two, but only Brevard, NC has The Lucy Clark Gallery & Studio. This gallery is beautifully curated, artfully stocked and staffed with helpful, not overbearing artists. I purchased a gorgeous pair of fused glass candlesticks and could have definitely purchased more! Be sure to drool over the owner/artist's hand built pottery. So very different from the typical pottery you see EVERYWHERE in NC! Next time I will be taking home more than one item. Thank you Lucy Clark for owning & operating the BEST art gallery in all of North Carolina!!!

Lucy Clark gallery expanded in January to the space next door. In doing so she has added so many talented artists that she represents. While visiting Brevard from CT, we happened upon Lucy Clark Gallery and Studio. What an amazing find!! The gallery carries such a sophisticated inventory of pieces from diverse artists. In particular, we were blown away by the Stephen Rapp paintings and simply had to own one of them. We didn't make a final decision until returning home to CT, but Lucy Clark personally assisted us with our sale over the phone (on her day off and despite having just endured root canal!) and made every aspect of the experience an utter delight. She even worked to get our painting shipped out to us the SAME day! Both Lucy and her gallery are gems! We highly recommend Lucy Clark Gallery.

I had the spinach feta quiche’ which was served warm. By being served warm the flavors worked together and the pastry is just as good as mine, very flaky melts on your mouth! First time visiting here. Interesting and tasty pimento cheese. Great cupcakes. I heard the cinnamon rolls were really good, but I won't find out until tomorrow morning with coffee 🙂 UPDATE: Reviewers weren't lying about the cinnamon roll! I heated it for 15 seconds in the microwave and ate it with coffee. Probably one of the best I've had. Some places kind of skimp on the cinnamon. Not Blue Ridge. It's packed with cinnamon and sugar and has just the right amount of frosting on top. For an extra tasty experience, dip it in your coffee. Just sayin 🙂

I grab lunch here frequently (looking at you, chickpea avocado wrap), or pick up frozen chicken pot pie, but I ordered a special cake for an event and that hummingbird cake was so well received I almost didn’t have a second slice to take home! Fantastic!

Wanting a small elopement cake in a specific custom flavor and look and it was perfection!

I really loved their cookies. They only had 2 kinds of vegan cookies and they were out of one. The environment was friendly and the servers were kind. There is virtually no parking, we parked 2 blocks away. For the food, it’s worth it. I really enjoyed it and would go again.

Ordered 2 dozen red velvet cup cakes from the bakery for an employee’s birthday and everyone LOVED the texture of the cake and the icing was so flavorful. The two dozen went fast. Thank- you from College Walk. The birthday girl, Valerie Tilson always requests these treats for her birthday!!

The Bohemian Restaurant in Brevard, NC is a local favorite with a bohemian flair. It's highly recommended by locals for its great food, excellent service, and dog-friendly patio. The restaurant offers carefully curated drinks by a gifted mixologist and delicious dishes prepared by the owner and French chef, Gabriel. Visitors can enjoy unique cocktails like the Bourbon Sour with toasted marshmallows and savor delectable menu items such as lasagna, tomato soup, and lamb burger.
Had a great lunch at The Bohemian Restaurant in downtown Brevard. My wife had the Chicken Shawarma which she really enjoyed. I had the Schnitzel with roasted potatoes which was excellent. We dined upstairs as there was a wait for the patio. It was quiet and made for easy conversation. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our food arrived in a timely manner. The specialty cocktails were delicious. 5 Stars!

My friend and I had a casual Friday night dinner here recently. We were sat outside on their beautiful patio despite my request for indoor seating on the reservation. My assumption is due to it being a renovated house, the sheer size of the indoor dining area could not accommodate our request at that moment. My friend ordered some kind of charred marshmallow alcoholic beverage, which she enjoyed enough to order a second. We shared the Picanah Bites which were seasoned well and a decent portion for two. The ground lamb in the Istanbul is served in a sausage like form and seasoned very well. The chicken in the Cairo was a lil dry and could use a bit more seasoning. Adding some tzatziki to the dish really brought it to life. Both dishes came out together but it took a good 30+ mins after the appetizers, which is to be expected due to the size of the restaurant. Service was pretty casual and everyone was well groomed. The ambience of the patio is top tier, especially if the weather is nice. Overall this place is a solid 8/10. Im excited to return to try some other dishes.

Outrageously delicious, exquisite ambient, therefore, expect to pay for the high price tag! The lamb chop was cooked to perfection, well seasoned, medium rare as we asked for. The Istanbul chicken was delicious served with fragrant rice and pita. The Marseilles chicken is out if this world. Nicely stuffed with cheese and ham and garnished with flavorful sauce to finish it off. Lastly, the Florence Salmon was cooked to perfection; creamy yet light white Alfredo sauce coated the pastas while the salmon was well seasoned, well done with side charred and not overcook, but moist on the inside. It is a 2 story Historical house converted to business. Enjoy the wooden, narrow flight of stairs up to 2nd story dining experience or romantic strings of lights that lit the outdoor dining front patio of the house. Too bad did not have the opportunity to meet the French chef/owner. Compliments to the chef! Definitely recommend! Please express your comments if my reviews help your decision. Thank you.

Our new favorite restaurant in Brevard. After two visits the food, atmosphere, and service are all 5 star consistently. The front outside patio is very comfortable and super dog friendly. We have not had anything that was not amazing. Lasagna, bone-in pork chop, and the chicken cordon Blu were all spot on. Fried risotto balls were unique and tasty. Service well beyond "mountain standards"

Four of us ate here, and it was a wonderful experience! The food was delicious and our waiter (a young student, wish I could remember his name) was very friendly and attentive. We tried many dishes, including fried green tomatoes and salmon with beet salad. Don't hesitate to go. You won't be disappointed!

Fantastic Dinner Experience – Great Food and Atmosphere We made a reservation for three earlier in the day, and our table was ready when we arrived, only a short couple-minute wait to be seated. The host was friendly and welcoming, and our server was knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening out. The menu had so many tempting options that it actually made choosing a little tough — always a good sign. The food was excellent, beautifully plated, and full of flavor. Prices for entrees were very reasonable, while drinks leaned a bit on the pricey side, but the quality made up for it. Next time we visit Brevard, The Bohemian will definitely be a must-return dinner spot. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a well-rounded dining experience with great service and ambiance.

Great restaurant nestled right by Pisgah Forest. Cozy little bar. Even though the portions are enormous, you can take the rest home. I had the trout and it was fantastic. The chef adds a nice delicate touch to his dishes. It was my 30th wedding anniversary. Love was in the air

On the whole this was a very good experience. The food was excellent although the soups we started with, Crab Bisque and Tomato Basil, were only luke warm. We split the entrée of Baked Salmon w/ Parmesan Cream Sauce over Fettuccine, which was very flavorful. We ended with the Chocolate Mousse (very dense, dark chocolate) and Creme Bruleé. The noise level was very high due to a table of ladies whose laughter was off the charts!

Vescovo Neighborhood Eatery is a chef-owned restaurant in Brevard, North Carolina that offers an Italian-focused menu with classic flavors. The attention to detail is evident in the well-sourced and truly delicious dishes. The menu features items like Beets by Trey salad with red and golden beets, goat cheese, arugula, pistachio, and shallot vinaigrette, Cacio E Pepe pasta, scallops, steak, or chicken parm.
Amazing meal. Good quality over the top. Small menu but they were willing to make some adjustments for me so I could eat what I was craving. The pasta and veggies (I substituted linguine for the GF) was amazing. The beet salad, just order it. Very small place. We arrived before 6 but without a reservation we had to eat at the bar but Christina was delightful and cared for us well. Amazing bourbon selection.

We love this beautiful intimate spot. Everything we ordered was delicious. The service is always timely and personable. The servers and bartenders know what they're doing and do it well. The food is always amazing, fresh, and hot. We love it and recommend this restaurant to all our family and friends.

From our arrival, Tiana and Caitlyn made us feel welcome. The food was PHENOMENAL. Trey, the owner/chef, sent out scallops with fried spinach (so light and airy!), and excellent mashed potatoes. Son had sea bass with Tahoe sauce - so good. We also had a bonus pasta dish that was incredible, and some of the best calamari I’ve ever had. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars - the whole crew deserve it!

Holy amazing! This hidden gem was fantastic. We were only going for appetizers, but after the appetizer we realized we wanted the whole experience. This was so worth it. The menu is smaller, but it’s nice that they had specials. The gnocchi were incredible...”like clouds in your mouth”. The scallops melted in my mouth and the sauce got wiped up with the fantastic bread and oil. This one is not to be missed. The drink menu was also great. Cheers 🍻

Food is pricey but very delicious. On street parking. We went right when they opened on a Saturday with reservation. Three out of four of us had wonderful fish. Beet salad delicious. Wonderful spinach

Wonderful evening with family and friends. Small but delicious menu. We sampled as many dishes as possible. Filet meatballs in vodka sauce, Gnocchi with gorganzola cream, fried artichokes and we all split the ribeye for appetizers. Beet salad, Sacchettoni, blackened scallops, double cut pork chop and the chicken and artichoke picatta. All were amazing and even though we had no room for dessert we all sampled the trio, not a bite left. Charming atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff and fantastic food. I will come from Nashville again just to eat here!

Vescovo came highly recommended by a neighbor so I visited their website to view a menu then called to book a reservation for the following Tuesday. The service was friendly and prompt. We were seated with a view of the kitchen which was extremely clean and efficient. Started with Calamari which was tender and lightly sautéed. Shared two entrees, the scallops and spinach and the shrimp scampi. The scallops were sweet, perfectly prepared and seasoned, and the flash fried spinach was a surprising and tasty side. The U10 shrimp scampi was hands down the best I’ve ever had. The pasta and cream sauce was perfection. The portions were substantial and could easily be shared if you like to order several dishes to try. I’d highly recommend Vescovo if you enjoy a fine dining experience. You’ll find fresh high quality ingredients, nice ambience, nice wine selections and professional servers. I’ll definitely return.

What an amazing GREAT, LITTLE restaurant. If you are hungry this is the place for a great meal, If you are ready for a culinary adventure... these guys will blow you away! Our first time in... Just a little off the beaten path, in what we were told was called the Lumber district we walked into the Bishop's domain. The first thing we noticed was the warm, playful atmosphere... this is obviously a restaurant where the locals feel at home. Busy night, but the bar was right there, and the staff and patrons made us feel right at home. Waiting for our table was fun, as we discovered the cocktail menu... loaded with great, unique concoctions, all with their own stories, as we were introduced to the neighborhood. The menu is creative and the dishes finished to perfection. Here are people at work who UNDERSTAND and LOVE their CRAFT! Gorgonzola Cream Gnocchi, Filet Meatballs, Artichokes, Smoked Kurobuta Pork Belly & Scallops... YES PLEASE! You can taste the playfulness and pride; local ingredients, unique combination, perfect execution and you can expect a big grin and smile when you tell chef Trey you appreciate his work. If you can get to Brevard, visit this gem, and enjoy the creativity, the people and don't miss the impressive wine list.
