The Secret Stash is a popular spot in Crested Butte known for its gourmet pizzas with unique toppings, making it a must-visit destination. The restaurant has been voted as the best pizza and wings place since 2002, offering award-winning pizzas like the Notorious F.G. and Mac Daddy. The eclectic decor collected from around the world adds to the bohemian atmosphere of this Elk Avenue establishment.
Today, we stopped and had lunch. It was a great atmosphere, and the side patio was awesome. Our server fit right into the vibe. She was great and very friendly. All that said, the Food was the was the star of the show. We got the garlic bread and the " Bouty Call" Pizza. It was amazing and lived up to its description. I will definitely stop again and have no doubt it will be note worthy again. Thank you for the experience.

Wonderful atmosphere & amazing food. We were not going to stop, but a local told us it was the best pizza, so we had to try it. We split a salad & a pizza & it was enough for the 2 of us. The Burrata salad was so light & yummy. The Melty Mancuso pizza with added prosciutto was not your normal pizza. Their crust was nice & thin, and the topping were delicious!
Lee S — Google review
Worth the drive in my opinion! The food was good! I LOVED how crispy & moist the wings were & NO BREADING!!! BEST wings I've had in a long time. The pizza was super thin in the middle not good enough to support the toppings. But it was still a good pizza. Our server was on top of everything! Awesome service, food & environment very up beat!
Shenandoah G — Google review
Great pizza place, OMG great pizza!!! Great customer service as well and I really enjoyed the overall experience. The place is huge, indoor and outdoor seating. The only knock I have is the beer selection is a bit small, I would have preferred more choices. Highly recommend!
J. B — Google review
I would have loved to give 5 ⭐, but it took almost 45 minutes to get our food after we ordered. This place has a Great atmosphere. We loved the outside seating. We had our dog, and so did almost everyone else. Everyone was so kind and friendly. We had the Crack Fries for an appetizer and they were Great. We had a Gluten Free make your own pizza with Mushrooms, half shaved steak and 1/2 sausage and it was delicious. We also had the Texas Biggin and that was also fantastic. Yum yum yum. We definitely recommend this place. We found out later the owners are from Buffalo, which is where my husband and I grew up. Highly recommend!
Katie K — Google review
Secret Stash pizza was awesome! We had a great waiter (pink), who was super helpful, friendly, informative, and upbeat. The wings were amazing (dip them in the sauce!!), and the Texas pizza was epic. Great dinner. (It gets busy, so be ready to wait, or try and call ahead).
Hunter H — Google review
Excellent pizza. Be sure to try the Amber beer. The decorations in here are very interesting and eclectic. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for at least one meal. If you’re not hungry, at least stop and try one of their beers. They have several locally made beers.

Laura was so sweet and accommodated our elopement, we are so grateful for the whole staff! Thank you to the host dealing with us and helped us place our order we are so grateful for your generosity! Everyone loved the pizza!

The Eldo Brewery, also known as The El Dorado, is a casual pub and microbrewery located in downtown Crested Butte. It offers a variety of Elk Avenue Brewing beers, cocktails, and a wide selection of bottled beers. The brewery features a second-story deck where visitors can enjoy the sunny weather and scenic views. Additionally, it hosts live music events regularly and has a lively dance floor for patrons to enjoy.
Himalaya foods kitchen here is way too amazing. Such rich gravy. Must try while in town. Amazing staff. Thank you and hope to be back

Great location and atmosphere. The beers were pretty good too. Some people brought their kids in and they were yelling at everyone who passed by on the street from the upper balcony. It took far too long for the parents to get them to stop. Very annoying for our experience but not really the fault of the place. What was the fault of the place was the service at the bar. There were two of us standing at the bar. The other guy was ordering and I was obviously next. Then another guy came up to the bar and he got served before I did. No excuse. My overall experience was quite good but that is just horrible service.

“A Sunny Place for Shady People” The Eldo Brewery and Taproom in Crested Butte is exactly the kind of local bar you hope to stumble upon in a mountain town. With its cheeky tagline, “A sunny place for shady people,” this spot balances relaxed charm with lively energy. ⸻ Atmosphere & Vibe Inside, the bar has a warm, rustic feel with dark wood beams, cozy booths, and a laid-back mountain-town energy. Locals and visitors alike fill the space—whether chatting in groups or enjoying a quiet pint at the bar. The outdoor balcony seating is a major highlight: overlooking Elk Avenue with flower baskets and string lights, it’s the perfect perch to people-watch or take in the mountain views. ⸻ Drinks The tap list is impressive, featuring both house-brewed creations and guest taps. Options range from IPAs like Neato Mosquito (7.6% ABV) to lighter choices like Lieutenant Crusher wheat beer (4.7% ABV). Prices are refreshingly fair for a resort town, with 16oz drafts around $7–8. For those less adventurous, they’ve got classics like Coors Light ready to go. The beer pours looked fresh and foamy, and the variety means everyone in your group will find something they like. ⸻ Food The posted menu shows collabs like the Crispy Bagel Bois amber brewed with pretzel bagels, which suggests they lean into fun, creative pairings. Their kitchen runs daily from 3–9 p.m., perfect for après-ski or an early dinner. While the food menu isn’t shown in detail, the vibe makes it clear they’re about hearty, beer-friendly eats. ⸻ Service The bartenders seem friendly and efficient, juggling a mix of cocktails, local drafts, and tourist questions. Service looks casual but attentive—the kind of place where you won’t feel rushed but won’t be forgotten either. ⸻ Extras • Happy Hour (3–5 p.m. daily): $2 off pints and $4 well cocktails make this an easy stop for afternoon drinks. • Dog-friendly (downstairs): A huge plus for mountain-town locals and visitors with pups. • Community Feel: Board games like Yahtzee are tucked by the bar, and the seating encourages conversation. ⸻ Overall The Eldo Brewery and Taproom feels like the heart of Crested Butte nightlife—laid-back yet buzzing with energy. Whether you want a crisp lager after a long hike, a bold IPA to sip with friends, or just a balcony view of town, this spot delivers. Grab a pint, snag a balcony seat, and soak in the Crested Butte!

Cute little upstairs brewery with balcony over looking downtown. Great friendly atmosphere in Crested Butte's ski town. Although I didn't stay for a bite, a lot of food options, and happy hour pricing on drinks. Novak was $5, PBR, and a shot of Jim Beam. Local and guest craft beers on tap. Dog friendly.
Mandilynne — Google review
I always make time to visit this place and grab a few beers after a hike. I enjoy watching people while sipping their excellent brews - it's very relaxing. The bartenders are also outstanding, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Great local bar. The Himalayan food is delicious and is a nice pairing with the tasty beer brewed here. Friendly staff, good vibes.
Sam S — Google review
Cute bar with a nice atmosphere, but overcharged me! They provided a paper receipt with a tip section, where I tipped 20% (written very clearly). I then received an email receipt with a different tip amount of 81% of my bill... If you go here, take pics of your receipt because they did not give me a copy and are scamming people!!

The Eldo! Don’t be scared. This place is amazing. And they’ve got the deck to prove it. It’s not the Eldo it used to be but it’s probably better. Locally brewed beer AND Himalayan food that will make you love Himalayan food. Momos, Tikka, Naan, beer, boxed wine, try it all. Local, clean, down to earth. You’re welcome.

The Wooden Nickel is a renowned restaurant in Crested Butte, known for its exceptional steaks and prime rib. Established in 1981, it offers a diverse menu featuring USDA Prime Graded steaks such as Filet Mignon, NY Strip, and Rib Eye. Additionally, the restaurant serves Elk Tenderloin, Alaskan King Crab, BBQ pork ribs, lamb chops, fresh seafood, and garden salads. Guests can also enjoy burgers and chicken fried steak.
From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly attentive, caring, and genuinely cared about wanting to cultivate a nice dining experience for us. The food was delicious - they sat us outside right away with no wait… and our waitress Amanda went absolutely above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and ensure we were having a great time :)

This place is older, but very charming. I can't believe we've never been in here before... we had a lovely time, thank you! Sam made us delicious old fashions one night. The next day we were walking by and popped in to say hello -- and then decided to stay for happy hour. Amanda was great & was a pleasure to talk to. The food was tasty and the drinks were strong! And the patio is dog friendly, which was appreciated. We frequent the CB area and will definitely be back the next time we're in town. Thank you!

An absolute delight of an experience. We came here on Monday, the 18th of August and there was enough people there to have a nice vibe but not too many people that you had to wait for a table. We ate outside on the nice sturdy tables that were lovely decorated with huge hanging baskets and flowers all around. It really does fit in with the historic nature of crested Butte and also within the delicious food foodies must do list. Great job guys can’t wait to be back.

I recently dined at your restaurant and wanted to express my gratitude for the exceptional service I received. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The food was delicious and arrived perfectly prepared. However, I did notice a few additional HIDDEN charges on the bill, such as the kitchen fee and the large party fee. While I understand the need to cover costs, I believe that paying your servers what they deserve should eliminate the necessity for these extra charges on your patrons. Keep in mind there is no AC - so if you’re visiting in the summer months, be prepared to bring a small fan or dress appropriately. Despite this, I would still highly recommend dining at your restaurant due to the overall wonderful experience.
Lo M — Google review
Had an amazing experience dining here, had a reservation at a different place and stopped by here and decided to stay because of the atmosphere and our wonderful server, Amanda. She was knowledgeable on her wines and cocktails as well as the menu. I have been in the service industry for years and this woman is top of the line with her style of service. Personable yet professional but made us feel right at home while giving us amazing food and drinks. Her steps of service are also incredible and seeing how she also speaks with other tables and every experience is very personalized to those she’s serving. 10000/10 service, would come back for her and the Flat Iron steak!
Peyton R — Google review
This is my medium well burger. Great I came in at the end of the night and apparently they were too concerned on getting my food out before it was cooked. Great tasting food but this is unacceptable
M W — Google review
I had plenty of time to pass in Crested Butte, and I’m so glad I walked into the Wooden Nickel. I ended up spending a few hours there, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. They even let me hang out while they were closing since I was waiting on a ride. It was truly the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced. Dinner was outstanding, and the drinks were just as impressive.

Best meal of my life. Had the prime rib on special. It was perfectly cooked and had this ridiculously good pepper bark crust that may be the best I've ever had anywhere. We also got a bison steak which was equally amazing. Never had bison, so can't make a fair comparison, but I'd go back for it. My wife got a French dip and my kids split a burger with onion rings and waffle fries. We all sampled some of everything and literally nothing was a let down. The only down side, if I was forced to give one, is the cost of such a meal. 3 adults and 2 kids had a $230 ticket. We did order some of the more expensive items though. 10 out of 10 would recommend for anyone that doesn't mind spending the money.

Breakfast restaurant
Nestled in a charming red building on Elk Avenue, Butte Bagels is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. Serving up delicious breakfast and lunch options, this cozy eatery offers an array of mouthwatering treats such as house-made bagels, latkes, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, crepes, and breakfast burritos. Whether you're craving a creative bagel sandwich or a classic cream cheese and lox combo, Butte Bagels has something for everyone.
Multiple options of bagel flavors.. a few unique options I hadn’t seen elsewhere. Staff was patient, friendly, and timely when we arrived right at open. There is not a lot of seating, is more of a take out bagel spot. Location is next to the post office, plenty of open parking early in the morning and first pick of the freshly baked bagels! Would recommend The Maxwell!
Madison N — Google review
BEST BAGELS IN CRESTED BUTTE – WORTH THE WAIT! We absolutely loved our visit to Butte Bagels, a tiny bagel shop in the heart of Crested Butte, Colorado that’s clearly a local favorite. We visited on a Sunday morning and there was a line out the door — always a good sign! From getting in line to walking out with our food took about 45 minutes, but it was absolutely worth the wait. We ordered the Hippie bagel on an everything bagel and the Mortimer on an onion bagel — both were packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and perfectly chewy bagels. This is hands down some of the best breakfast in Crested Butte. Whether you’re fueling up for a day on the slopes, exploring downtown Crested Butte, or just craving a solid bagel sandwich, Butte Bagels is the perfect stop. The vibe is laid-back, the staff is friendly, and the food is well worth the hype. If you’re searching for bagels near Crested Butte Mountain Resort, breakfast before skiing, or just want a truly great bite in town — don’t miss this spot. We’ll definitely be back!
Jackie M — Google review
Butte Bagels is a must visit in Crested Butte. The BEST bagel sandwiches and vibes. I always get the Hippie—fried eggs, cheese, pesto, avocado, and greens on a bagel. We also love their latkes and you can use them to make a sandwich that is gluten free. 10/10 recommend this spot!
Hannah L — Google review
I stopped by this café and was really impressed! I ordered a lox bagel—fresh, delicious, with a perfectly balanced flavor. I also got a cinnamon raisin bagel—soft, aromatic, and with just the right touch of sweetness. The atmosphere here is amazing: cozy, welcoming, and the staff is super friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back! The best cream cheese I ever tried!
Yauheni B — Google review
As others say, pretty darn big bagel packed full of fresh ingredients. Im a big guy and this thing I just finished, "the pow" added bacon, was very filling. The chorizo was good, not as strong of flavor as what im used to in TX. But that does not fault this sandwich by any means. Its a popular spot but fairly quick service. They have a sign saying everything is made fresh to order, good food takes time. I didn't feel it took tat long but maybe im not as impatient as others. I may have missed it on the sign or just should have asked if I could "build my own" each description I was reading I wanted to add or take away something, just to match what I was craving this morning. Either a way a nice spot to get a big ole breakfast sandwich. Took mine to go and enjoyed it out front of Rumors coffee house. Seating inside was limited. Would suggest taking it to go.
James T — Google review
We can’t believe we found such delicious bagels in a small town like Crested Butte. Great cream cheese too. Get there early. Their popular flavors sell out. Parking is challenging. Park near Elk and walk.
Suzanne S — Google review
If you are looking for breakfast this is a great option. We had the David on a Parmesan Bagel and a Scotty on a Parmesan Bagel in which we highly recommend! If you want it fast I recommend getting there by the time they open at 7:30am because the line forms fast but honestly is worth the wait. It’s also better to arrive early because they start running out of bagels, but they have plenty of options. The staff is friendly and quick on getting orders out and they are working and moving nonstop. Great atmosphere! We hope to get there earlier next time to try the garlic bagel, they were one of the bagels to run out fast.

Pitas in Paradise is a laid-back eatery that has been serving up Mediterranean cuisine since 1999. This local favorite offers a family-friendly and pet-friendly environment, making it a great spot for both delicious meals and catching a game. The menu features bold American and Mediterranean flavors, including tzatziki-dripping gyros, fresh-made hummus, pita nachos, Greek salads, lamb and chicken kabobs, spanakopita, and nightly specials.
Ordered half rice bowl with Thai and Bombay curries. The service was quick, staff are friendly and food is just yummy yummy.

It was disappointing grilled chicken pita and Calcutta bowl for us. The food was below average based on experience at other places. You get the water by yourself and the dispenser area looked unhygenic although I couldn't really tell if it was just looks of it or is it for real. The washrooms were not great either. The prices are reasonable but for the food we got, it wasn't worth it. The atmosphere was great and it seems like lots of people like this place. But for us, it wasn't worth it and mostly disappointing.

Great pita spot and sports bar. It was so quality, we stopped back in Crested Butte after our camping just to eat here twice! The OG, the pulled pork, and the cheese steak all were next level. AND BE SURE TO GET FRIES. THEY ROCK. They also have a lovely outdoor eating area where you can enjoy the beautiful atmosphere that the town offers.

This place has been here forever, but has increased in capacity and in its menu. Soup is homemade everyday and is delicious. Rice dishes, awesome. Pita's obviously. Happy hour is a GREAT happy hour between 3pm(?) and 6pm. Prices are higher than I would like, but great place to check out if you are visiting and want to check out a local eatery.

Teocalli Tamale is a vibrant Mexican eatery in Crested Butte, offering a variety of delicious dishes such as burritos, tacos, and tamales. The menu features options like slow-cooked shredded beef, marinated grilled steak or chicken, gourmet veggies, and blackened mahi-mahi. Guests can also enjoy fresh lime margaritas and a selection of flavorful salsas including mild tomato, salsa verde, roasted chile corn, and hot smoky chipotle.
This is the best Mexican style restaurant in Crested Butte! The eatery has a simple menu: they create custom burritos and tacos with a huge selection of fresh ingredients. I highly recommend this venue if you want a quick and casual delicious meal.

maybe it was coming off a hike, maybe it was mabelline, 100% positive it was a banger burrito! got the gourmet veg ‘ritto & this sounds weird but it was the perfect level of wetness? w the veg, salsa, sour cream, etc, the moisture level was so satisfying. every delicious element cohered because of & with it! 100/10 recommend stopping by here

This whole place is a vibe! Delicious food, the chicken hard shell tacos are my absolute favorite but anything you order will be amazing! I could swim in a pool of the salsa verde! Always great tunes at the perfect volume! Staff is as friendly as can be and always smiling! Been coming here for years and I’ve never been disappointed.

Large portion, good flavor, fairly priced for the area, quick service. They dont have many seats and there is one stall for the bathrooms though, so keep that in mind.

This place has a great vibe with amazing people. We got the grilled chicken taco plate and a huge steak burrito. Both were delicious and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!
Adrienne M — Google review
Honestly I guess maybe because it’s in the middle of no where it’s got this high of ratings… but for someone that grew up eating Mexican food, this place is really mid… maybe it was the burritos we had. But the tortillas weren’t cooked they were pulled straight out of a bag, it tasted really plain, the meat literally had no seasoning, I ordered with the spiciest sauce and wow the Taco Bell medium sauce would be hotter, and the burritos were leaking, they were really watery inside. I had to use a the tray to eat it. The only good thing I would say is the portions were pretty big. People working were great and it was a chill place to eat. Not trying to hate, but trying to give some feedback to hopefully help you guys out.
Alex A — Google review
A great lunch place! I had the pesto burrito which certainly packed a lot of flavor. The only downside is that this place is popular so it does fill up quickly but luckily the line moves fairly quickly.

I’m super particular about Mexican food (grew up in New Mexico). The recipes are scrumptious! Queso is bomb d bomb bomb, every meat I’ve tried is high quality and cooked with really good seasonings. So tasty! Great service too! Every time I choose this place here in Crested Butte it’s amazing! The staff always is in a great mood and helpful with making my food exactly how I like it. Oh ya, the margarita pairs perfectly with the all the food too.

Camp 4 Coffee is a beloved coffee spot in Crested Butte, serving hand-roasted coffee since 1993. Run by passionate mountain enthusiasts, this rustic shack offers a delightful selection of hot and cold beverages along with tasty pastries. The charming outdoor area adds to the appeal, especially when it's snowing and the friendly dogs are waiting outside. For those who want to enjoy their brew at home, freshly roasted coffee beans are also available for purchase.
This is a walk in sort of coffee shop. There isn’t any seating indoors but the coffee and pastries are decadent. I enjoyed that they were open earlier than other places in town on a Sunday. They also sell their own roasted beans in store.

My fiance and I drove past this place and the line was OUT the door at 630am, so we knew it had to be good. The line moves surprisingly fast and the ladies behind the counter were extremely friendly and helpful. We got a Spinach and Feta croissant, a Ham and Cheese croissant, and a Raspberry croissant. They were all AMAZING! We came back the next day and ordered the same thing (except I tried the Jalapeño Cheddar Croissant in place of the Spinach/Feta option….incredible!). We only got drip coffees, but all of the other things on the menu looked great.

Nice setting on a side street in CB. The outdoor seating area was fun - lots of Adirondacks and trees. My husband loved his four shot latte, but my plain coffee was very weak. The baked goods - cinnamon rolls and scones were very good. We will likely be back, but we are still searching for the best coffee in CB

I love love love their coffee. It's really good. Idk what they're doing or what they're using, but I loved it. It wasn't too bitter, hot enough, and plenty of it. We came back twice. The staff is so cheerful and chatty. The pasties are good, all of them. We tried the spinach, the jalapeño one, and the Boston cream one too. Their seating is nice as well.

One of the best Americano's I've had in quite some time! Wow, was it good. The service was super friendly, fast, and while the inside of this place is rather quaint with absolutely zero seating, well, the Outside seating area is just incredible. Steak house
Elk Avenue Prime is a top dining spot located in the heart of downtown Crested Butte on Elk Avenue. The restaurant offers a refined yet family-friendly atmosphere, combining casual elegance with Colorado charm. Their diverse menu features hand-carved Prime and Wagyu steaks, Colorado lamb, elk, buffalo, fresh seafood, and farm-to-restaurant garden salads. Additionally, they boast an extensive selection of beers on tap and the largest wine collection in the valley.
Celebrated our 9th anniversary here!Literally the best meal I've had. Starting with the smoked steak tartar, to the entrees of rack of lamb and Alakan Halibut..wedge salad..amazing!
Suzanne H — Google review
Best steak in crested butte. Now they have freshly flown in seafood. I've never had a bad steak there. I prefer any filet, ribeye, NY strip medium rare. Their wedge salad is great and I tried their short rib appetizer which was amazing. French onion soup is fantastic as well. My only complaints are that the prices are astronomical. We're not poor but we're not rich either. That means I can afford to go here once or twice a year in good conscious. I think the staff could be a little more professional but it's a mountain town so I figure you get a lot of transient youth who don't stick around long enough to care.

Had my bachelorette dinner at Prime and had the absolute best time. The whole staff took amazing care of us, our server Joe was excellent and made perfect wine suggestions, and our food was excellent. We ordered 2 appetizers, 3 steaks, 4 sides, and 2 desserts for 6 women to share.

Our group of 4 arrived for an early dinner after an active outdoor day. Happy hour menu was not offered to us until requested and immediately the level of service appeared to decline. Although the food was very good and we enjoyed our evening, we left feeling this establishment did not appreciate our business. Our group of 4 spent upwards of $350 in a sparely filled establishment. We will not return on our next trip to Crested Butte

Patio covered in flowers like someone's grandmother went rogue with a credit card at the garden center. It works beautifully. Got lucky with live music - apparently they don't normally do this. We hit the jackpot or someone forgot to tell the musician to go home. Happy hour oysters flown in from somewhere fancy I can't remember. Point is, they're not local Rocky Mountain oysters if you know what I mean. Went against the grain and ordered chicken at a place called "Elk Avenue Prime." Sometimes you gotta be contrarian. Honey chicken that's basically elevated KFC without the shame or the regret. Yeah, the elk is supposedly their thing. But when happy hour oysters and beer are calling your name in the Colorado mountains, you answer. Mountain town doing upscale right - fancy enough to feel special, chill enough to actually enjoy instead of whispering through dinner. Sometimes the best choice is the unexpected one.

We’ve been dining at Elk Avenue Prime annually for the past 7–8 years, but this recent visit was a letdown. While the ambience and service were decent, the food didn’t live up to expectations—especially given the price. I ordered the 8oz filet for $72, and unfortunately, it was one of the toughest and most flavorless steaks I’ve had in a long time. The mac and cheese was okay, but nothing memorable. Coming from Texas, we know good beef, and this wasn’t even close. The best part of the evening was the wine and the company. For a place we’ve consistently visited over the years, this experience was disappointing

In crested butte for fall beauty we had a wonderful surf and turf combo for 2. The meat kabobs tender, grilled oysters good and lobster tails delish. Allison the manager engaging and waitstaff lovely. Best meal during our three week Colorado tour

Cozy, enticing flavors, great wine. If you’re sharing food they split the portions for you before serving. Great for a date night.

Small plates restaurant
Django's Restaurant is a stylish New American cafe located in Crested Butte, offering a cozy and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant features a front patio and an ample wine list to complement its seasonal small plates. One of the highlights is the rotating menu with Tapas style sharing concept, including a great variety of vegetarian options. Guests can expect surprises with 1-2 different plates every night while still enjoying their usual favorites.
This was our second time visiting Django's and we enjoyed every bite! Ordering was easy right from our phone, food was brought out promptly. Top notch service and we only have nice things to say about Django's. Thanks for the amazing food!

Outstanding from start to finish. This is a small cozy restaurant in Crested Butte. The staff is super friendly and efficient. There is an excellent choice of cocktails and wines. The best part is their rotating menu and their “Tapas” style sharing concept. All menu items are available to share and they have a great variety of vegetarian options too. According to the staff the menu changes every night, the usual favorites will be there but you will be surprised with 1-2 different plates a night. The food is super original with perfectly well balanced spices. Don’t miss the crispy Brussels around with cider reduction and pistachios and the boneless short ribs. This is a must in Crests Butte. It’s even my main reason to return to CB.
Fernando M — Google review
Absolutely incredible dinner at Django’s, 4th of July 2020. We sat in the gorgeous outside patio by a creek, and felt safe with Covid. The food was just delicious, easily becoming one of our favorite meals ever. We had the steak, the lamb, sprouts and two salads, and all were presented beautifully, and tasted phenomenal. Our server was lovely and friendly, and offset ordering on an App (due to Covid). Thank you Django’s for rounding up Crested Butte for us, the entire trip was even more memorable.
Isaac S — Google review
A great spot for a nice dinner when you're in CB. Service was great and we especially loved the short ribs, brussel sprouts, and flourless chocolate cake. It was my boyfriend's birthday and I'm so glad we choose to come here for it!

Was here for an event and got to meet and speak with the chef after reading about her prior. The food was delicious and the rest of the staff was outsiding. I would recommend stopping by if you are in town!

Crested Butte's gem you must experience! My husband and I really enjoyed Django‘s. We were seated upstairs where you are overlooking the bar and downstairs seating. The ambience was perfect with string lighting in the windows and drop lights over the bar. You order 3 or 4 dishes for a party of 2 and they are brought out to be enjoyed one at a time. We ordered the beet salad, trumpet mushrooms, Brussels sprouts and short ribs. While each dish was put together very well and absolutely delicious the Brussels sprouts were a dish that deserves a medal! Amazing! Then for dessert, flourless cake served with delicious house made ice cream! It was heavenly. The service was incredible, friendly and precise. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner as well who is very genuine & obviously passionate about what they do. We recommend this be a destination you must experience with your stay in Crested Butte.
Amber S — Google review
We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant. Firstly the service and ambience are great. The food menu is varied and certainly good choices to satisfy all palates. Maybe it was an off night but the flavors just weren't there - everything was just sadly bland and didn't live up to the reviews posted here. Portions are small (small plates to share concept) so be aware. The desserts were great though.
Jeremy O — Google review
This quiet little dinner spot was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, the smoked maple old fashioned was wonderful and each dish was tasty and nicely flavored. We had the beet salad, arancini, spiced carrots, Colorado bass and lamb. I’d order each of these again, maybe with the exception of the bass. It was just a little under seasoned for my taste. But the skin was nice and crisp. I would definitely visit again next time I’m in crested butte

Breakfast restaurant
Mc Gill's is the newest breakfast spot in town, offering a creative twist on classic breakfast and lunch dishes. The restaurant opens at 6 am and serves breakfast until 3 pm, with lunch starting at 11 am. It has a mom-and-pop diner vibe but with elevated quality. Customers recommend trying the French toast, corned beef hash, eggs benedict variations, and bear pancakes for kids.
Perfect breakfast spot! Kay immediately sat us near the window and was quick with drinks and our order. She was so sweet and personable, which made the experience even better. The food was great and portion sizes were huge!
Marisol B — Google review
This was a good breakfast place but I wouldn't say it was anything special. The atmosphere was good but I also wouldn't recommend larger groups coming here because there is no space to sit large tables. My group had to sit separately which is fine, but just for reference it was 10 of us. I got a classic sausage ,hasbrown and egg meal with a pancake and again good but nothing special.
Sarah S — Google review
McGill’s Café is a true Crested Butte breakfast classic. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the food was excellent. We had the cinnamon roll, eggs Benedict, and corned beef hash — all three were delicious, hearty, and exactly what you want in a mountain-town breakfast. The portions were generous and everything tasted fresh and made with care. It’s the kind of spot that feels both local and welcoming, the perfect way to start a day in Crested Butte. Highly recommend if you’re in town.
Zach G — Google review
I love this place. The food is excellent and the staff is always so friendly. It can get pretty busy in the high season but in off season it’s so easy to get in for breakfast or lunch. My favorite is their biscuits, I always great it as a side to my meal! Also the French toast is very unique and delicious! The food came out fast and hot. I definitely recommend getting there early in the summer season or be prepared to wait. Wing in elk ave it can get very busy.
Rebecca O — Google review
This is a busy place. We visited during the july 4th long weekend, it could be because of that. We ordered 3 egg omelette with hashbrowns & biscuit. It was good. I had high hopes for the french toast but the blueberry compote was way too tangy & lemony that it dominated the whole thing, wouldn’t recommend that unless you’re a fan of sour desserts.
Shehnaz S — Google review
Soooo, we will not be returning. When entering we asked if the wait was long and sat at the bar to avoid even more wait. Turns out that was the wrong call because even though we ordered almost right away tons of food came out before ours. We waited 45 minutes for our food. Thank goodness we asked it to be packed to go after a half hour because we had a meeting to get to. Our server was incredibly nice, but obviously stressed. It was clear food was not coming out in order. And whatever manager was there was not that helpful I could tell. Even when we finally got our food the manager told our server to charge us for the ranch we ask for ($2 btw for a small ranch). It was right as we were headed out and the manager left to the back of the store when it happened making it impossible to reason with her. I felt that after so long of waiting and given the wrong impression about timing we should have been given some leniency. We paid before we even got the food so we could leave as soon as it arrived which is why the ranch wasn’t included. If we were able to eat at the restaurant like we wanted and our food came out on time of course we would pay for it like normal, but to throw that on us after bad service just as we are about to leave and not even mention once that you were sorry for the wait. Ridiculous. Again our server was so sweet and did everything she could. Also the amount of carrots was sad and disappointing. I love carrots and for the cost of these wings a decent amount is expected.
Maranda R — Google review
I’d go back but, first I’d have to tryout some of the other breakfast places in town. On the plus side the food was tasty and fresh. On the negative side, the service was slow, my food wasn’t hot and the restaurant was stuffy. My gf’s food was hot so maybe their timing off this time.
Sherry S — Google review
The staff was not very friendly. I'm not sure if it was because we were not locals or why they (both ladies behind the bar) had such a cold shoulder and came off short. 🙁 They also rarely checked on us and when she brought more Splenda instead of being kind, handing it to us and smiling. She avoided eye contact and shoved it into the carrier. The food was pretty good though and the kitchen staff seemed nice. We ordered the classic eggs Benedict with avocado & the haystack. Will add pictures of food and receipt for others to see the pricing.

Pizza restaurant
Brick Oven Pizzeria & Pub is a laid-back and charming spot that offers a diverse menu of pizzas, subs, and craft beer. The restaurant boasts a spacious courtyard with views of Elk Avenue, complete with trees and umbrellas for shade in the summer and heaters during the winter. It's an ideal place for groups as the extensive menu caters to various tastes. Visitors can enjoy sitting at the outdoor bar for drinks or a quick bite.
Damn good pizza and brew! I was pretty impressed. Deep dish Texas star was very tasty. Had a blonde type beer and it was decent... don't remember the name. If you're looking for a decent snack stop in and grab a bite.

Great place for low key Italian and a stellar selection of beer. The salad bar is now open and there’s a wide variety of toppings and fresh greens. We had the spicy bruschetta breadsticks to go with the salad bar. Very good!

Great unique experience in Crested Butte for pizza and beer. Their tap and bottle selections are varied and will meet every taste and type. I would definitely eat here again and recommend it to everyone stopping by the town on the way down from the slopes!

Great atmosphere & food! Megastix breadstix is fantastic - chicken artichoke mozzarella cheddar pesto😋! Huge patio for people-watching, and nice dining room/bar area with a couple big screens for sports. We sat at the bar and great service with friendly bartenders despite being verrry busy!
Mary H — Google review
Shared a pizza here for lunch after not having much success getting in quickly elsewhere. For me, this place is maybe a 3.5, but I really liked our server and half stars aren't possible, so I'll go for a 4. :) This place has an expansive patio with lots of seating and an outdoor covered bar. We sat ourselves and our server came right up to us. He didn't have a name tag on but he was a younger fellow with curly light brown hair and glasses. He got our drinks out and our order in quickly. The umbrella kept us cool enough while we waited for the medium pizza the four of us would share. Our waiter provided valuable insight on why CB is experiencing such a server shortage right now (and therefore why it's rather hard to eat out) as well as tips on what to do in the nearby town of Gunnison, where he is from. He was apologetic about the long wait for our food. It was understandable as pretty much everywhere in CB is understaffed right now. We enjoyed our pizza when it did come out. Personally, I don't eat a ton of pizza and I'm kind of picky about it, but I liked the thinner, crispy crust. The layer of sauce was light (which is my preference) and there was plentiful gooey cheese. I could've used a little more pepperoni on some of the slices; despite there not being a ton of it, the pizza was on the greasy side, which is my biggest critique. I wish I'd had an extra napkin to dab some of the grease off. Still, it was a pretty solid pizza and enough for a tasty, shareable lunch. Kudos again to our bright, personable, professional server.
Bailey — Google review
Literally one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. They have killer fries, their burgers are INCREDIBLE, their gluten free crust is soooo good and light, their calzones are HUGE and SO good. Pictures is half of my Italian calzone. They have wonderful service too!
Gelsomina H — Google review
Good service without being intrusive. The deep dish is... Colorado style deep dish, certainly not Chicago but good in it's own right. Patio is excellent and dog friendly as the people watching is epic. Beer selection is rotating so ask the server / bartendress, epic in her own right.
J M — Google review
Good pizzas. The other day I went and decided to skip the pizza because I know from my previous time that the pizza pies are pretty large. This time, I ordered a calzone, with pepperoni and sausage. This was a huge calzone, so big that I took it back to the cabin to have for lunch for the next day. I also ordered a salad bar, and it has pretty much the basics.

Third time here and still having a blast! There's something for everyone here at this mountain and the signage between the different parts is pretty good. A couple areas could do with faster chairs, but you won't notice it on the less busy days. The paradise bowl area and international are some of the best runs!

I had an incredible experience at this mountain resort! The snowboarding conditions were perfect, with well-maintained slopes and plenty of variety for all skill levels. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the overall experience even better. The resort’s facilities, including equipment rentals and après-ski options, were top-notch. Definitely a must-visit spot for any snowboarding enthusiast. I’ll be coming back for sure!
Yauheni B — Google review
They only rent out the 4th floor & there is NO elevator! Plus, it's 2 flights of stairs to the bedrooms upstairs! I counted 88 stairs from my bedroom to the parking lot! I had a total knee replacement a few months ago & was barely able to survive 3 days here. My aunt who is a senior also had a difficult time. I would NOT recommend this place unless you are fit. Also noted is the fire station has put a ban on the livingroom fireplace & our TV upstairs wouldn't even turn on.
Sherry W — Google review
Tougher location to get to if flying into Denver. We drove through pretty nasty snow storm. Can’t say anything about the rooms or service as we stayed at a Vrbo but the mountain definitely has some tough terrain. The double blacks kicked our asses! Great ski spot. Just be cautious of the rocks. We got to see some paragliders take off which was pretty cool!
Kyle — Google review
This is the 2nd year in a row we have been skiing here and we absolutely love it. The snow and slopes are very good. There is a big variety of green, blue and black level terrain. We love staying at a hotel right at the base so we can walk to everything. There is a decent amount of restaurants and bars in the area. The mountains are beautiful!
Will G — Google review
I bought an Epic pass with the intent of going all over the place and I only went here. I'm not mad about it! Crested Butte is the best and will always be the best! The fact they are now owned by Vail resorts is the only downside (screw you Vail! Treat your employees with some respect!). Despite that, they are still the best place in Colorado for resort skiing, but don't tell anyone!
James R — Google review
The mountain and facilities are great from the start of the day. Everything took a turn for the worst at the end of the day upon arrival to the car. We parked at the main lot, and since it was our first time to CB we asked for information upon arrival to the lot. We were instructed to pay upon exit at the manned guard shack. Apparently the staff is not trained on the policy and procedures. We arrived to a $75.00 parking ticket. Upon arrival to our car, with a parking ticked, there was no staff to be found. Captive audience with no one to appeal to. Thanks a lot CB for the lack of assistance and a simple "pay me more money." I will remember this experience as I frequent many mountains and interact with many patrons. I hope you remedy this situation with your staff as too improve your guest experience moving forward.
Oehg800 — Google review
My wife and I loved this place. This is NOT a Texans with shiny 1 pieces and fur collars resort! Laid back and great snow. They also have $2 PBR’s at José’s. You won’t find that at Beaver Creek or Vail. Staff is super friendly and laid back. Only negative would be that they have a lot of non-detachable lifts. But if that keeps this place a skiers mountain and not a glam mountain, I’m all in.

We arrived around 11:30 AM, first week of July and were pleasantly surprised to find parking without any issues -a nice bonus considering how popular this area can get. The wildflowers were absolutely popping! It felt like walking through a living postcard, with vibrant colors in every direction. We didn’t hike all the way up to the top since the trees tend to block most of the views higher up, but the lower portions offered plenty of scenic beauty to enjoy. The trail is well-maintained and not too strenuous, making it a great option for a mid-day outing. Only downside: we saw a couple of people with off-leash dogs, which was a bit frustrating. It’s a shared trail, and keeping pets leashed is just common courtesy. Overall, a gorgeous trail and definitely worth checking out, especially during wildflower season!
Asha S — Google review
This was a beautiful trail. We did the loop and it was about 4 miles long. This was well worth it and it excited our experience. For us this home was moderate in difficulty but really not all that bad. Expect climbing for the first half and down for the second half.
Jonathan — Google review
Absolutely stunning hike! The wildflowers were in full bloom on July 4th. The loop is an ideal choice if you are starting late and is the most scenic part of the hike with open meadows filled with wildflowers, views of Maroon Bells peaks and mount Crested Butte. The summit was a bit underwhelming but the loop was gorgeous.
Saeed D — Google review
Went up to see the wildflowers. There are 3 loops depending on how far you want to go. The first loop is where most of the flowers are. It gets more difficult after this section. There is a meadow on the next loop that would be pretty tough going up. Some spurs that we did not take come off this section. The top we did as an out and back. There are other ways that you could go. The top is treed, but you can see Gothic from there.
Eric M — Google review
I recently experienced the breathtaking beauty of wildflowers 🌸 in Crested Butte 🏔️ for the first time! The vibrant colors of these flowers painted the mountainside, creating a stunning landscape. Exploring the trails and discovering different species was an absolute joy for me. I was amazed by nature's artistry and the fresh mountain air that filled my lungs. This adventure will forever be etched in my memory, a true reminder of nature's wonders.
Shane B — Google review
It’s popular for good reasons, this is a great little accessible trail close to town. Sadly I came a bit late to see the wildflowers (mid August). That being said, I still enjoyed the vast mountain views and the horses. Lots of bikers.
Katie W — Google review
I’ve wanted to hike during wildflower season in Crested Butte for many, many years now but it’s been a tough time of year to make it happen. After a long wait and lot of trail hunting, we landed on Snodgrass and WOW.. definitely would do again! I had read a couple of recommendations to take the trail to the right (Teddy’s Trail) near the beginning of the hike and am SO happy we took that advice. The wildflowers were still quite lush but a couple of weeks earlier would have been best. We got to hike through a stunning aspen grove which was a wonderful reprieve from the sun. The summit, as others have mentioned, doesn’t have the standard sweeping panoramic view but it’s still beautiful. If you’re going for ease & the views, the first half of the trail is all you need but if you’re trying to get a solid workout in - then stop by the top and make the whole loop. Make sure to take enough ice water, sun protection, and maybe a bandana or something for your mouth/nose as the dust got pretty rough at points. Can’t wait to hike round this area again!
Megan M — Google review
Snodgrass Trailhead was so amazing! Excellent trail, perfect for the wildflower photography that we love so much. Many different meadows and aspen groves. We really enjoyed our time there! It is an uphill climb, but very easy to navigate.

Nestled on Elk Avenue in the charming town of Crested Butte, The Breadery is a delightful culinary gem brought to life by best friends Meg Antonczyk and Jordan Broderick. Their journey began at a local pizza joint, but their passion for baking led them to create this unique eatery that emphasizes sourdough and fresh vegetables.
Loved this spot! Food, cocktails and vibes were on point! Got lucky to get some bar seats. Love the interior decoration. The food was all amazing. Had soup, salad, pizza and the pork chop! Wish we would have had room to try more. Dessert was also delicious, got the banana flan.

All around excellent dining experience complete with amazing food and service. We really enjoyed the Fancy Toast, Crudo and the meatball starters as well as the pork rib chop sharing plate. I'd highly recommend both the Hot Date and the Detroit style flatbreads. Definitely a great place to stop when in town!
Matt M — Google review
We enjoyed the black garlic butter with our sourdough chunk, as well as the carrot and gochujang ravioli and the pierogis. Absolutely adore the vibes of this place.
Kelsey T — Google review
Unfortunately, the menu looked amazing but the food was not executed well. I didn’t take pictures of everything. The honey butter that we ordered with the bread was very small and still cold, hard to spread. The pizza was only ok. The pierogis had wonderful flavor, but were dry. The burrata salad was very small. We absolutely loved the kale salad. That was a standout. The drinks were also not awesome - we didn’t like the mezcal drink (even though we like mezcal) and the gin ones both from the Roy G. Biv menu. Service and atmosphere were both great, I just wouldn’t recommend coming here.
Natalie R — Google review
The food is great and interesting. My only complaint is the “shareable food” is not shareable. The portions are single portions even though it is advertised as shareable. Just ignore that and order like it isn’t family style.
Butters — Google review
Best cocktails in town, gorgeous appetizers, and wonderful pasta. I have to go at least twice each visit. Don’t skip on getting a sourdough to take home.
Mary H — Google review
My now husband and I rented the upstairs room at the Breadery for our wedding reception. It was such a good decision on our part. We knew we wanted a mountain wedding, but food is really important to us and we were concerned that the food our food selections would be limited in a mountain town. Breadery by far exceeded our expectations in terms of flavour, quality, and presentation. Our friends and family know that sharing good food is a big part of our relationship, and we spent a lot of time curating the items on our wedding dinner menu. Well worth it. We were so impressed by the food and our guests could not stop raving about it. My cousin said he "had a spiritual experience with each dish". We were lucky enough to be there during peach season, and of course our menu was filled with stone fruits. Delicious! We returned this August for an anniversary dinner! Will return yearly!

Best sourdough EVAH! We took an extra loaf home (they were selling quickly). We ordered the Crisp Salad and shared spaghetti and a side of meatballs. Our server made sure we had the right wine. Thank you to everyone at Breadery. It was a wonderful experience. We will be back.

Rainbow Park is a charming recreational area located in a residential part of town, offering various amenities for visitors. The park features an excellent playground, fields for kids to engage in outdoor activities, and a shaded pavilion with picnic tables. Additionally, there are clean restrooms available and a large rock for children to climb and practice bouldering.
This park was one of my favorite parts of crested butte! The river behind the park was so clear and clean, we had the best time just walking through the paths and the water

The Center for the Arts Crested Butte is a vibrant visual and performing arts venue that offers a diverse range of events. With its recent expansion, the center showcases rotating exhibitions by local artists and an exciting lineup of live music and performance art. The building itself is a stunning architectural marvel, featuring striking sculptures and a beautiful Performance Hall. Visitors can look forward to engaging in various activities such as art classes, theater performances, dance events, and gallery shows.
First time at this beautiful venue with Ten Years Gone - Led Zeppelin tribute. The sound was great and the staff was truly hospitable. Thank you for having them and I hope they get invited back!

I went with a group of friends to see a film playing for the Crested Butte Film Festival. We had a really nice time and the venue was excellent. Everything was very clean, the workers were very friendly, and it was a nice theater to watch the movie in with comfortable chairs. They also had a small art gallery with some really cool paintings. One person in our group lost their phone during the movie and the staff was exceptionally helpful searching for it.

First time visiting the Crested Butte Arts Center. We saw a great concert in a great venue the Center was very modern and clean the staff were very friendly and helpful. There are two bars and a coat check. The seats were very comfortable and the temperature inside was perfect. What a nice experience and can’t wait to go back.

As we were taking our first morning walk from our BB to town, and highly anticipating Elk Ave. we first stumbled across this beautiful building in all it's glory, her metals, wood, glass, cement... 2 sculptures shining brilliantly in the golden sun, her many multiple angles and lines demanding our full attention. We stopped, and I just had to go inside. I introduced myself to the manager and he must have recognized my excitement, so he allowed me a quick personal tour of the Performance Hall. What a beauty! She was gorgeous! Accoustics, comfort, and line of view were obviously the focus as I gazed upon her colors and beautiful wood tones. I was quickly imagining live symphonic performances, or a ballet, when suddenly I remembered my wife was patiently waiting for me outside...oh snap, gotta go!

We went for one of the summer free concerts. I forgot the music group's name but they were incredibly talented both in voice and musical instruments. The courtyard was set up nicely. From what I can tell the center for the arts is an upscale place and would merit another visit.

Pharmacy
Clark's Market & Pharmacy Crested Butte is a grocery store with a deli where you can order various hot or cold sandwiches for lunch. The pharmacy staff, particularly Sean, has been praised for going above and beyond to help customers. Despite some inflated prices on certain items, the store offers a great selection of fresh food at reasonable prices.
This supermarket exceeded my expectations with its wide selection of fresh produce and high-quality products. The store was clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate, making shopping a breeze. The staff was friendly and attentive, providing excellent customer service throughout my visit. I was impressed by the competitive prices and the variety of both local and international goods. Overall, it’s a fantastic shopping experience that I’ll definitely return for.

Great little small town grocery store with some items reasonably priced and others priced å little higher. Overall, a good selection of items. Definitely worth å stop if in Crested Butte. Seems to be a large deli/lunch selection for local workers who come in full force during this time of day.
Peter B — Google review
Place is super clean and the guy at the register was very nice—was on a first name basis with the locals as they passed by. You can find all your basic grocery needs here if you’re visiting. Only con is that prices for *some* items were ROUGH ($10 for a dozen eggs) but it is somewhat expected when you’re deep in the mountains of Colorado.
Joshua B — Google review
This is a really nice grocery store especially for a small town. They have a limited selection but great prices (cheaper on some stuff than King Soopers in Denver). They have a lot of staff which seemed helpful.

The pharmacy should have a separate Google listing since it has different business hours. The pharmacy closed at 6pm on Saturday, when the Google listing says 9pm. Concerning for people that trust the Google listing to find out they now have to wait until Monday for an important prescription. Clarks: I'll happily update this to a 5-star review if you create a separate pharmacy listing. Then I'll create a separate positive review for the pharmacy. I appreciate your services, but this is a pretty big fail.

Went in two different occasions and the staff were very unhelpful and just straight up rude. Also got the steak tacos and it’s just straight up steak with a tortilla.. I’d just go to town. Not worth it other than maybe a drink by the mountain.

I had the barbacoa and it was quite dry. The atmosphere was really nice, but even my husband's burger wasn't great. It was too expensive for what it was. The best item we had was fries.
A W — Google review
If you're going here for food, don't. The food was below average. No one in my group liked their food. For burgers, they only cook it to the level the chef wants to, which was medium well when my group went. If you ask for it to be cooked differently they will tell you they can't. The chef also would not cut a burger in half for two people to share it. The waitress was great. She was super attentive and orderly and kind. The drinks people ordered were good although the food was not. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The vibe for outdoor seating is nice because there is live music some evenings. Inside isn't very nice as far as atmosphere. The kids quesadilla was okay and the rice and beans were not really seasoned.

Absolute worst food we’ve ever eaten at a restaurant. And the price we paid was exorbitant. The service and margaritas were great and we appreciated that, but if you’re looking for a good meal, this is definitely not the place to find that.

The Last Steep Bar & Grill is a beloved family-owned establishment known for its chill atmosphere and excellent burgers. Named after a ski run, it's a popular late-night spot offering a diverse menu with dishes like jerk chicken quesadillas and hearty sirloin steak. Located at the top of steps, this cozy joint serves up burgers, wraps, salads, and the coldest beer in Crested Butte.
Stopped in after riding the 401 trail. The burger I ate hit spot. It was cooked exactly how I like it. The server was very helpful and pleasant and the bartender took time to chat with my friends and I to give us suggestions for our next ride. This place was great to visit.

Great food and excellent service. Sarah was one of the best waitresses we've ever had. Place is crowded even at 130 pm but after eating here, that is understandable. We had the "Face melt" and grilled shrimp tacos. Both were large portions and excellent.

Enjoyed lunch at The Last Steep Bar & Grill in October this year. Very quaint little restaurant with great outdoor seating. It's a small building so it's sometimes hard to get a table here but is worth the wait. I enjoyed the Ranch Chicken Salad - the chicken was a little dry but the salad was good. Always had spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer and it was also good. Great place for lunch right in the middle of Crested Butte.

I had a bowl of soup which was the chicken green chili soup along with the half pound burger and fries. By far the best burger in crested Butte everything else was excellent as well as the service. I had a couple of pints of pale ale. All total of the bill was about $26 before tip.

Had the crab cakes and the regular burger, while my friend had the chicken salad. It was one of those burgers that was perfectly crisp outside and moist inside, with great, fresh toppings and a toasted bun. More meat than bun, which is always nice. The fries were small, but super crunchy on the outside and had a pillowy, fluffy consistency on the inside. Crab cakes contained a good amount of real crab. Delicious!

My boyfriend and I stopped here for a bite for dinner after snowboarding all day. The fried crawfish was by far our favorite. The habanero sauce that came with it was really good as well. The rest of the food was just okay. I had the crab cake PoBoy, it’s hard for me to gauge a bit since I can’t have the sauces that came with it but seemed a little dry, had some good flavor to it though but I’ve certainly had better. The black beans and rice that also came with it wasn’t too good, was also pretty dry. My boyfriend got a burger that was local grass fed which was paying more for less meat and wasn’t really impressed. He would have rather just gone for more meat no grass fed for cheaper since the burger was just alright. But the drinks were great and the service was fantastic. Little pricey in my opinion for what it was but it’s a Ski town so.

I absolutely love this place! Everyone who works here is so friendly and welcoming, and our server was top-notch. This is our go-to place in Crested Butte for breakfast, and we love sitting on the patio with its gorgeous mountain views. The food is amazing too. I love the huevos rancheros, and their hash browns are perfectly crispy. Highly recommend!

Stopped by with my sister. I ordered drip coffee and Eggs Benedict with salmon. The coffee was weak, and the sauce on the Benedict tasted off—too sour and even tingled on the tongue. When we asked the waitress about it, she said it was made in-house but couldn’t tell us when. She went to check and came back saying it was fine but still didn’t answer our question. Instead, she just offered to order something else—at our expense. We didn’t finish the food (don’t want to risk the vacation) We paid for everything and left. I wouldn’t recommend this place—better to choose another café for breakfast.

Outstanding eggs Benedict with corn beef hash. Excellent spicy Bloody Mary as well! Wonderful atmosphere and excellent customer service. Please keep in mind that it is a small, cozy place with limited seating. They are very mindful of delivering the food in a timely manner so do expect a 30 minute wait even if there are open tables or bar seating. Quality over quantity that is well worth the wait!

Our favorite breakfast spot in Crested Butte! They have a ton of great options on the menu, all the classics and then some incredible unexpected dishes. Today I ordered the Potatoes Paradise, and I always add an egg along with the oh-so-delicious pork green chili to it. The Sherpa Chai was spicy and perfect. My husband ordered the eggs, bacon, and a blueberry pancake and he savored every bite. We often order the Eggs Benedict and the eggs are always perfectly cooked. Attentive servers, sunny spots to sit, plus food that arrives hot and quick make this place a staple for our breakfasts out on the town. Angie & her crew are the best!

Small little diner style breakfast place. Cute atmosphere, good food. Please note it is rather small and only has one waitress, so wait times for seats, food, and the check were a bit longer than expected. Highly recommend the Mexican coffee!

I had one of the best huevos rancheros with green chili breakfast I’ve ever had in my whole life, and I am old and have eaten a lot of green chili before. They didn’t just put the eggs beans rice and so on a plate like most restaurants, they put it in a little skillet type pan with a tortilla and cheese and green chili sauce, melt it over the eggs and other fillings. Yummy!

Can't believe how many times we've driven past and I had no idea what a great casual food option was inside, but glad we finally checked it out. Better late than never for this review, but first off I spent a month in CB 2011 training for Leadville 100 MTB & all I did was eat, sleep and ride and every post ride was GC and on Vanlife road trips I’ve stopped off in CB for some riding, skiing and some filthy good GC! Best of Colorado right here & still going strong, great job!

Rude and refused to make a fresh pot of coffee. Also a bunch of teenagers just hanging around that laughed when we asked if there was anything fresh. Will never go back to that store again. Very inconsiderate and immature. Thought that it would be a better small place to get something from but guess not. Maybe some thoughts of changes should be made if they are going to be run down young kids like that.

Did the burger patty change? It seemed like a pre-formed Sysco puck vs all the previous years of excellent burger patties with crispy edges. Still one of the best and most affordable options in town but I might just stick to breakfast now.
Jason H — Google review
10/10 breakfast sandwiches so a great way to beat the line at Butte Bagels. Unfortunately the coffee is awful. Still 5 stars since they saved us a hour long wait.
Ben B — Google review
We’d heard nothing but good things about stopping by this gas station deli for some sandwiches, we came 15-20 minutes before their lunch hour started and they told us we’d have to stand there and wait to order anything, so we figured we’d come back later. We came back about 15 minutes before they closed their grill and they said they were shut down early and wouldn’t take orders again. TLDR: Either they get enough business where they’re not concerned about going the extra mile for customers, or they just don’t care. Edit- We did not visit during 4th of July weekend, we came a month ago at the beginning of June. Owners blowing off a critical review by saying it’s a holiday weekend is sad.

The Slogar Bar & Restaurant is a historic dining establishment located in an 1882 Victorian building. It offers family-style skillet-fried chicken dinners with sides like creamed corn, biscuits, mashed potatoes and gravy, as well as salads such as cottage cheese, Caesar salad and slaw. In addition to its famous fried chicken, the restaurant also serves ribs and beef dishes. The ambiance is comfortable and unique, providing a generous portion of food at a modest price.
The food was wonderful! Unlimited appetizers (salad, cottage cheese which pairs with a tomato chutney, and coleslaw) are brought to every table. Ribeyes were perfectly cooked and delicious! Unlimited sides with those (mashed potatoes, gravy, & cream corn). Dessert is an ice cream sandwich, which I would only give a 3/5. The restaurant was a little on the cool side, so I kept my coat on. Definitely make a reservation in advance! I've been here a few times over the last decade, and it's always been great!

First time here, stop in the parlor since I was traveling alone. The salad is probably the best part. I was able to order just two pieces of chicken off the parlor menu. Ask the waiter for dark chicken. You basically told me you get what you got in so many terms. Not rude how to cook puts what's available. Of course I got it dried out piece of chicken breast. I got some old school. When the guests ask for something usually you get it. Ask for no creamed corn. Came on the plate. Waders have mentioned half an ice cream sandwich which I had to ask for at the end. So overall blah.

If you’re in Crested Butte and looking for an incredible dining experience, Slogar is a must-visit! This charming restaurant serves dinner family-style, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Tonight, we enjoyed their freshly prepared fried chicken, which was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The meal came with a variety of delicious sides, and the best part? The sides come with complimentary refills! We especially loved the rich and creamy creamed corn and the homemade biscuits, which were absolutely divine. Slogar is a popular spot, and for good reason! They do get busy, so we highly recommend making reservations in advance. From the friendly service to the comforting, home-cooked flavors, everything about our experience was top-notch. We can’t wait to come back!
Raven R — Google review
This place is great. The reservation is a must. The dinner is all you can eat sides and appetizers, but you must buy a protein from the available options. We bought the sampler platter and ohh my it was a ton of food for 2 people and 1 kids. We had two kids so needed to get one more kids meal. The food was excellent. The service was also very good, but for the price it better be expected. The fried chicken that is famous is absolutely worth it. It was spiced perfectly, very moist, and flavorful. The mashed potatoes and gravy side were also very good and I'd recommend it. The steak was ordered medium but came medium rare, luckily I like it like that too, but wife prefers it a bit more cooked. Besides the collard greens that my family doesn't like, there really isn't anything we did not like.

In Crested Butte a have to stop; however, have a reservation! Service food atmosphere makes you feel you are in your families dinning room having food cooked with love for you! Be prepared for family style dinning with two courses and dessert. Full bar with amazing drinks! Each course allows for seconds or thirds… hahaha and you have to enjoy the amazing biscuits! Save room for the dessert! When we were there, chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich was a perfect closer! We had four in our party, and all of us tried fried chicken, AMAZING! You have the choice of a variety of entrees. When we go back it will be a mix of chicken and beef! Amazing for two o. That special night but also family friendly! Parking is a challenge. We would park at the visitor center, walk the shops, have dinner and walk the ice cream cookie off back to the car!

First time cross country skier. The staff at Crested Butte Nordic were friendly and helpful. I rented on line and when I stopped by in the morning the equipment was ready for me. Had never skied cross country and the staff quickly explained the boots and bindings and trail options for someone new to cross country skiing. There is a skiing option at the facility if you have experience. As a newcomer, I was directed to two wonderful trails in town-Peanut Lake which was a short drive and the Snodgrass Trail area up past the mountain. Both were fantastic. Absolutely beautiful as you can see in the photos. I skied three days from 8am to 11am. Each trail has options for distance and skill. It was really great. Peaceful, a workout and so beautiful. The Center itself is a warm, friendly shop. Get yourself a t shirt for home to remind you to stay in as good as shape as these folks. Thank you again to the staff. Fantastic experience.

In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.

We went here over our Christmas trip as one of our checkmark activities. This place has everything! Our family hadn't ever been skiing before. The employees helped us get fitted and geared up. The track was fun and challenging for all of us being first timers, but it wasn't enough for us to not have a blast. There is an outside, covered, ice rink... A sledding hill and play area... And right across the street, you'll find a little place called Mike's Pizza... Go in there. Order food. It's incredible. You might come back just to eat there again. The whole set up for this center is really nice and well thought out.

The Crested Butte Nordic Center and trails system provides the most beautiful and scenic areas to enjoy all kinds of recreation in the winter. I love taking my dogs on skate skis out to Mike's Mile or around the Town Ranch loops. I also love adventuring as a photographer with Mountain Magic Media to capture the fun that visitors have when they come to vacation in Crested Butte! I always see smiling faces on the groomed tracks, and I absolutely love the Nordic Yurt as a place for fun events like KBUT Bingo or Yoga with Thrive. They have an amazing sledding hill for the kiddos too! The covered skating rink is fun too!

Fantastic ski rentals and trails! Easy to use and safe trails with a seamless way to rent! Wish the skates were a bit more comfy, but the rink was lovely!

What a great experience! Employees and ski instructors are incredibly helpful and kind. Rental gear was in excellent shape and well cared for. Big shout out to Kate and Amy who went above and beyond to insure I had a good Nordic ski experience. Thanks to Kate's patience and knowledge, I now have the skills to enjoy my new Nordic skiing hobby!

Soupcon Restaurant is a charming French-American bistro located in Crested Butte. Housed in a cozy wooden cabin, it offers a warm and intimate atmosphere for diners. The restaurant prides itself on serving creative French and American cuisine made with the freshest seasonal ingredients.
We have visited this restaurant three times over the past 18 years, and each experience has been incredible. This most recent visit was particularly outstanding! The menu creative, fresh and exciting!! The wine pairings were phenomenal and explained in-depth. Chef John Leonardi and his outstanding team personally presented many of the courses, adding a special touch to the evening. Our server, Shandie, was a highlight of the meal. Her professionalism, extensive knowledge, beautiful presentation, and delightful demeanor made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We had so much fun with her! We cannot say enough good things about this restaurant, its incredible food, and its exceptional staff. Highly recommend it, and we will definitely be back the next time we're in CB!!

We went for our 24th anniversary and it was everything we hoped. The service was great, the food even greater. We got a couple glasses of complimentary champagne and some caviar mixture which was lovely. The gnocchi appetizer was amazing! Would definitely go again

Soupçon is such a charming and unique gem in Crested Butte, tucked away on Elk Eve with a rich history and intimate setting. The staff was warm and helpful, and being greeted by the chef made the experience feel so personal. We chose the 3-course tasting menu and everything was outstanding, from the fresh, warm bread to the flavorful beef tartare and rich foie gras. The tagliolini with shaved truffles and the lamb chops were perfectly prepared, and desserts like the warm crumb cake and crème brûlée were the perfect finish. We were in the mood for cocktails and the ones we enjoyed that evening was Margarita d’Agave and Sangria. It’s more than just a meal, it’s a true dining experience that’s worth every penny.

Wish I could give more stars! Made a reservation for Valentine’s Day, but our day took a sudden chaotic turn an hour before our rez. In all the chaos I was so grateful with how communicative and accommodating the staff was, and our mess of a day was completely flipped around the second we stepped inside. We were treated with such sincere kindness, the entire staff made us feel like we belonged. The food was incredible and the portions filling (I HATE going to a fancy restaurant and leaving hungry) and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a lovely dining experience in CB.

My husband and I had the best time here for our one year wedding anniversary on our CB trip. Sharnie and Bob were INCREDIBLE. They both are so impressively knowledgeable and talented with their service, while also being SO kind & fun. We had the best time, and left feeling like family. All the best to Sharnie and Bob 🫶♥️ and major kudos to the whole Soupçon team!! Thank you for such a special experience. The food was incredible. The amuse-bouche made me realize for the first time how food can make you feel something to the point of tears. Incredible menu & service, highly recommend.

Montanya Distillers is a rum distillery located in Colorado, offering tours, cocktails, and tastings in a vibrant rustic-chic setting with a patio. The distillery's unique location in the mountains contributes to the production of award-winning rum. They utilize fresh snowmelt and spring water, high elevation for aging, and local American oak casks.
A must stop for rum lovers. The best American rum I can recall trying. I loved their “whiter” rums, most especially the pineapple habanero infused version which was a classy take (not a sugar bomb like many others I’ve tried). The aged rums are solid, expressive, just don’t expect Jamaican monster.

Who knew that some of the best Tiki cocktails would be in Crested Butte, CO? My husband and I were blown away, not only by the incredible flavor palette and healthy ingredients, but also the mixologists at the bar were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Sara was absolutely fantastic — could not give a higher recommendation.

Amazing cocktails and service. Who'd have thought a RUM distillery would in a small mountain town. Come for the drinks, stay for the vibe. While my wife and I sat there we chatted with out-of-towners who have been coming here for years, locals that were just popping in to pick something up, and the bartender kept up a wonderful banter as well. Good prices, great environment, and friendly service. Get the Maharaja and the smoked old-fasioned, you will not be disappointed.

The Crème brûlée cheesecake was awesome, drink was very heavy on the Rum and could have used more coconut.

If you’re into rum and rum-based drinkings, this place definitely needs your attention. Note that they only sell one brand of rum, Montanya’s, of course. The drinks were fantastic, meticulously made and a pleasure to drink. Like other places in town, this one fills up quickly. Abbie, our bartender, was courteous and made us fantastic cocktails. We’re looking forward to our next visit.

The best cocktail bar we visited when in Crested Butte. The drinks were amazing. All cocktails are made with their in-house distilled rum. Their food was very reasonably priced, high quality and large portions (the harissa hummus plate was super good!). Ordered the boss calada, the pina calada, and the hot flash, all were so tasty. Staff was great, friendly and helpful as well. Make a reservation as it’s popular and fills up here (the first day we came they didn’t have room so made a reservation for the next night). We loved it here. Highly recommended

Dragonfly Anglers is a great option for fly fishing enthusiasts, providing guided trips on local rivers. Visitors have praised the accommodating and helpful staff at Dragonfly Anglers, who provided excellent service without being pushy.
My daughter and I had Graham as our guide and he was awesome. We did a lot of activities while in Colorado for over a week but we both agreed that this was the best part of our trip. We were both beginners and he was very good with instructions. He went out of his way to get us to just the right spots and was very attentive having us try different flies. We ended up catching several several rainbow and brown trout. Will definitely do this again.

It was busy when I went in so I had low expectations, but dude jumped in and enthusiastically helped us in our search for the holy grail of Colorado: free camping, good fishing, and dog friendly. Homey delivered the goods: We walked out with a few flies and spent the next few days camping in a great spot and catching fish. Awesome people/shop!

First off I hardly ever leave reviews but during my visit to Crested Butte Colorado I wanted to get some fishing in. I was looking for an Outfitter and I stumbled across Dragonfly who were more than catering to all my needs I was worried about being nickeled and dimed for renting waders and boots they were very accommodating to my needs. I have dealt with other Outfitters. don't waste your time the quality of the rental gear here and the quality of hospitality are bar none and I appreciate everything that Dragonfly angler did for me. while I didn't use any of their guide services the guide I did have was absolutely amazing and I would recommend to dragonfly that if their clients are looking for the fish David Roberts knows exactly where they're at

Very good Asian dishes all around. Chinese egg rolls were perfect, Wonton soup delicious. Main dishes: sesame chicken and broccoli beef were some of the best we have had in a long time.

I enjoyed lunch here with my friend but we ordered dinner portions. Delicious food as always! When I'm in Crested Butte I always live to eat here. I had a coconut based soup as an appetizer and sweet and sour chicken for my main dish. Both were great!
Patrick M — Google review
Wow- this is one of the best restaurants I have been to. The soft shrimp rolls here are on another level. We were in town visiting and went to Ryce twice because of how good it was. We started out with some sake "momo kawa" which was pretty good and then we went on to the soft shrimp spring rolls and I seriously think about these all the time. Then I got some orange chicken which was so fresh tasting and that came with a side of white rice and we got a side of fried rice as well. The second time we went back we tried the mongolian beef which was also so good. If i ever find myself back in this area I will defintley go back. I would say the only negative is its popular and you do have to wait for a table.
Sarah S — Google review
Unfortunately their entrees are seasoned in a marinade containing fish sauce. This cannot be removed from any of the dishes. It is great that they have a number of tofu and vegetable options, but none of them could be made vegan. I did confirm this with the chef. Potential guests would like to know if this is still the case since it seemed like a good place to eat. If this has changed please reply to this review and I will happily update it.

Absolutely remarkable food! I traveled from Texas to Crested Butte expecting something to fill me up and left astounded with the meal I received. I have had Mongolian Beef everywhere and it’s all the same. Not here! The marinated meat was something I did not expect surrounded by onions. You have to try this place! Wife loved it, kids loved it. Portions are huge! I pray this restaurant does well here in Crested Butte!

Arrived at the restaurant at 7 pm, place was packed; we had to wait for around 30 minutes for a table. Service was good considering the place was very busy. Food was good too with big portions and definitely great value for money. We ordered Teriyaki Beef and Shrimp, Orange Chicken, Shrimp Lo Mein and a few appetizers. Special mention to their orange chicken: I’m not a big fan of orange chicken but their version was very good IMO. Will definitely go back to this restaurant if I were in the area.

While exploring Crested Butte, I discovered that they brew local beer here and knew I had to try it. I was directed to this spot, and from the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the hospitality. I mentioned that I wanted to try their local beer, and not only did they give me a great recommendation, but they also offered samples of two other options to compare. Have been coming to Crested Butte in the Summer for years and this has quietly become the best restaurant in town. Had the elk sandwich with sweet potato fries and my wife had the kale salad. Great atmosphere, great drinks and phenomenal food!
Tim B — Google review
Complete disappointment. After a huge hike, we stumbled into this spot with high expectations. Quickly the experience went from underwhelming to flat out bad. The apps were both misses. There wasn’t a single piece of burrata on the “Burrata Flatbread” and the chicken empanadas were equivalent to a 7-11 takito. I had high hopes for the elk sandwich, but quickly had to pivot to dipping each bite in ketchup to make up for legitimately no seasoning. Add on an awful tasting cider and I am most confident this will be my one and only time at public house.

The restaurant features seasonal patio seating and occasional live music, creating a vibrant atmosphere for guests. Visitors can enjoy a variety of dishes, including the popular Coal Creek burger and avocado tempura taco. I am sad to say that I was the last meal this resultant will ever serve but I have to write a review as a testament as to how great the staff was and how great the food was. My first encounter was being seated immediately and being givin a warm welcome my waiter was at my table within seconds asking me what I would like to drink and making pleasant small talk he asked for my name and remembered it through the entire meal which was about 1 hour 15 minutes. As an appetizer I had a Mexican corn dish with fried potato chips that was to die for honestly some amazing food. For entree I had the meatloaf which was cooked perfectly it melted in my mouth with the savory flavor of the meat and the sweet notes from the ketchup. The staff was incredible always checking in on me making sure the food was to my liking (which it was always perfect). To end it was a sad day to hear them say taking final orders but they definitely went out on a high note and I wish the best for all the staff

Strictly reviewing off of breakfast experience. But it was fantastic. Wonderful strata style egg meal with toasted baguette. Carafe of mimosa was a wonderful touch. Would highly recommend if looking for a breakfast place in town.

We were pleasantly surprised with this venue. It was the only venue (that we could tell) that was actually on the creek. Sitting outside, this creates an amazing and relaxing atmosphere as you enjoy the sound of running water. Our server was great and gave recommendations on the menu, and I really appreciated how he spoke up when I chose a side he didn’t agree with and suggested another. I’m glad I listed- he was right and the Mexican corn paired nicely with the rib platter (very tender and great tasting homemade bbq sauce). My wife really enjoyed the trout dish, which came with quinoa. The menu was small but mighty, which is usually a good sign. Our server even gave us a hiking trail recommendation. We’d come back!

Friendly staff. You’ll pay Main Street prices, but everything was pretty tasty; the pretzel, the burgers, the brussels. Would recommend.

My fiancé and I were very happy with this restaurant! Cool location, great service, and good food. We started with the beets (pictured), and I ordered one avocado tempura taco, my fiancé got the Coal Creek burger. My fiancé said the burger was one of the best burgers he’s had in a while and thoroughly enjoyed it. The fries the burger came with had a great flavour and were cooked perfectly. The beets were pleasantly plated and the oil/sauce on them was very tasty - herbal and fresh. The avocado tempura taco was a bit different than I expected, it was covered in a white/green sauce that tasted a bit like wasabi. Not very flavourful overall, but was a good amount of food.

Coal creek grill, by far, has the best breakfast in Crested Butte. The food is always amazing, the service is pleasant and fast, and the atmosphere is great as well. You can choose to sit inside or outside on the patio by the river, which is a nice option. Also, on the patio you can bring your leashed dog. So, it’s a great option with those for furry friends. Also, don’t miss out on the delicious carafes of mimosas, I know I can’t pass a good mimosa up! This is my number one spot in CB for breakfast, and I have been to them all. Don’t miss your chance to go too!

Talk of the Town is a classic dive bar that has retained its original charm, with pool tables and foosball upstairs, and live music and a jukebox downstairs. It's a popular spot for locals and skiers alike, offering entertainment like pool tables, giant Jenga, video games, and even a DJ on weekends. The bar is known for its friendly atmosphere, fair prices, and great bartenders serving up quality drinks.
Maybe my favorite bar in the world. Fantastic drinks and very fair prices (especially for the area), very friendly staff and locals, and a great atmosphere. The perfect place to grab a drink with friends. I wish I could take this bar with me everywhere I go. The owners and bartenders and just the loveliest people you will ever meet, too. This place is everything!!!

If you’re looking for a bar that captures the quirky, laid-back spirit of Crested Butte, this spot is it. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with friendly smiles, strong pours, and a colorful atmosphere that feels like home.🏔️ The bartenders here are absolute legends—super welcoming, quick with service, and they make you feel like part of the family right away. Drinks are cold, well-made, and reasonably priced (bonus points for serving them with a heavy hand).🥃 The décor is half dive-bar, half mountain-town charm—think Christmas lights, a moose head decked out in tinsel, and walls full of local memorabilia. Even the bathroom pep talk (“Everything will be just fine… just breathe”) keeps the vibe lighthearted and fun.🫎 This isn’t some polished, pretentious place—it’s AUTHENTIC, buzzing with energy, and full of locals and travelers swapping stories over beers and whiskey. The kind of bar where you sit down for one drink and end up staying for the night. Bottom line: If you’re in Crested Butte, skip the fancy stuff and come here. Great drinks, great people, and an atmosphere that screams mountain-town soul!

We were camping and got set up late. Everywhere else was either closed (most close at 9), not kid-friendly and rude, or out of food — Butte burger was out of burgers — but we walked into Talk of the Town to find the sweetest gentlemen who were willing to heat us up some pizzas in their own toaster oven. Felt like the only place in this mostly rude town that actually cared. Big thanks to Noah and the bar owner for taking good care of us :)

It's a great dive bar with a real authentic vibe and feel. There's live music in the weekend, and feels very local and down to earth Prices are reasonable for the area, and the bartenders are great
Jon S — Google review
We had big hopes for a genuine and authentic Colorado dive bar with good people, kind souls and cool music. We found the exact opposite. Some of the locals were friendly, but the bartender and owner were incredibly unkind and rude. I do not recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun and welcoming night out. They lost our business for the rest of our stay and when we return to Crested Butte, they won’t have it then either. I highly believe the bartender and owner are on some sort of power trip. Avoid if you want to have fun.

Me and the guys out in Crested Butte on a snowboarding trip. Decided to stop by here to have some beers and hang out and talk. Nice bar, fun atmosphere, nice bartender, and there was even a local dog hanging out inside the bar which made the place seem homey and welcoming. I’m sure we will see you guys again next time we’re out on a snowboarding trip.

History Museums
The Crested Butte Museum, located in the town's oldest building, offers a comprehensive look at the local history, including mining and the development of skiing and biking. Visitors can explore exhibits on geology and mining. One highlight is a detailed miniature representation of the town as it was in the 1920s, complete with moving miniatures that operate with quarters. The museum also features a charming gift shop showcasing local artists' work.
Very neat place to learn about the areas history, see a model train and a ski lift car. Recommend you stop in. Nice people too.

Worth stopping by. Lots of interesting historical info about the town. There’s a gift shop for souvenirs if you’re looking for that too.
Kyle A — Google review
Very cool museum with a plethora of historical items from the mining days all the way through the early ski and mountain bike days basically telling the tale of how crusty butt became what you see today. We spent a few hours walking around town and this was by far the gem for me. The lady working the desk was very nice and was able to provide information upon request. They had a sign up for Elk Avenue History Walk on Tuesday and Thursday from 10-1130 am where you walk around the Main Street and learn more historical facts about the town and the buildings if you’re looking for something else informative to do while in town.

Super cool and free thing to do right when you get on elm ave in crested butte. Lots of history and my favorite part was the train! Don’t forget your quarter!
Dylan C — Google review
honestly our favorite part of the whole town. the gift shops are fun to window shop, but this provided an excellent glimpse into the history of this town. it was curated with great care. and free! they also have a sweet gift shop of their own with a lot of local art. you can easily spend an hour in there reading all of the informative displays. Becky (i hope i got her name correct) was lovely to chat with!

Cute little museum (free admission) about the history of Crested Butte. Attached gift shop so you can bring home a souvenir.
Marchelle H — Google review
A very cool, and funky museum. Never seen one based in an old hardware store, it was quite interesting really. Just to see the evolution of products and such. Liked all the photos like everything. It was really cool. The curator was awesome.
Geoffrey B — Google review
Countless hours were spent painstakingly creating a miniature representing the entire town of Crested Butte as it appeared in the 1920s. They even made a miniature of the town's one of a kind two story outhouse. There are moving miniatures as well. If you bring quarters, you can watch them go. One of them is puffing smoke while going.

Park
Crested Butte Town Park is a hidden gem located about 4 hours away from Denver, making it a peaceful and charming destination with friendly locals, antique shops, and delicious restaurants. The park offers various activities such as horseshoes, volleyball, and baseball at the Pitsker field. It also features an impressive playground and covered area for picnics. Additionally, the upcoming new tennis courts are set to open in the summer of 2015.
Crested Butte downtown is a Hidden gem located 4 hours away from Denver. Not a well-known place for tourists and not so many tours that I know that stop by Crested Butte. You will find yourself a peaceful, cute little town with super friendly locals, antique shops, delicious restaurants. Crested Butte is blessed with gorgeous views by the Mother of Nature. From mountain to valley, from river to meadow, great photos can be taken anywhere, at any angles, and during any seasons.

Cute little park. The play place was really nicely built, but doesn’t work well for kids under 5 or those that can’t climb ropes or rock climbing. It’s definitely built for “Colorado babies” because the kids can’t access any of the slides if they can’t climb a large rope climb or rock wall. That said, it’s a very well maintained park if that works for you.

Colin and Shakti were safe and entertaining guides for our family with young kids.

Fantastic park that's a staple in CB history. Disappointed to see it being replaced by an unnecessarily large arts center.

Children's Museums
Located in Crested Butte, CO, The Trailhead Children's Museum aims to provide an interactive and vibrant space where children and families can engage in exploration, creativity, and learning through play. It offers a variety of activities for kids, from art classes to pop-up events in the community. Visitors have praised the museum for its engaging day camps and affordable drop-in options for parents looking to entertain their younger kids.
The Trailhead Children's Museum was recommended to me by a local and definitely lived up to the hype! Our family was in CB over Thanksgiving and we were able to snag a spot for our daughter at the day camp while we went x-country skiing. She doesn't enjoy snow sports but loves arts & crafts, so this was perfect for her. She had a great day crafting her heart out with Sarah! We didn't do a drop-in, but it's only $10. It's a great deal for a parent looking to entertain their younger kids for an hour or two. They have tons of craft supplies, big blue building blocks, a stage for imagination play, and a STEAM area. The best age for this is probably 2-8, maybe 10 depending on your kiddo's imagination and inclination towards art.
Lynsey G — Google review
We have been coming to their new central location on Elk for 2 years and have nothing but good things to say about it! Older posts mention previous locations that don't capture the current museum and how much work they have put in to being an amazing gathering place for local and out of town families. We love it here.
Zimmerman H — Google review
We had a great time here! It’s $10 a person (free for 2 and under). Our kids ages 8-4 played for 2 hours and would have stayed longer. Inside there’s tons of crafts, sensory bins, Legos, books, glow in the dark room with blocks, large foam building blocks, a large play camper with a kitchen set and tables etc - all great for imaginative play! Outside there’s a shaded water table, extra large Lego blocks for building forts, chalk and bubbles. Great for a cold, rainy or, in our case, hot day! Support Trailhead!

Fun spot for the kids to play. Lots of stimulating toys and activities. Fun dark room and craft bench. Cozy little play areas throughout the building make for a great escape from the winter cold!

The Trailhead Museum is a gem of a place. My children love spending time there (winter or summer), their art classes are perfect for my almost 5 yr old, and we always look forward to their pop-up events in the community. Thank you Trailhead Museum for all that you do!

Park
Totem Pole Park, located in downtown Crested Butte along the banks of Coal Creek, is a serene and relaxing spot. The park features a central totem pole and offers easy access to the creek for wading or simply enjoying its soothing sounds. Visitors can take advantage of the shade provided by trees and enjoy a leisurely lunch either from nearby eateries or packed from home.
This was the weekend of Labor Day. We took a day trip to Gunnison and Crested Butte. They had the People's Fair that weekend. This is a very laid back mountain town. I have been there once before. I loved it so much we had to go back.
Valerie C — Google review
Very small, but peacefully quiet in the morning. I wouldn't call it a park. It's a bench and a creek. But nice break from the hustle and bustle.
Thekreal — Google review
Nice place, but not very well maintained. No playground. Grass was dead and not being watered.

Git yer fill here of hipsters. Also has a running creek you can do your laundry here.

Beautiful park right in the heart of CB. Easy access to everything - grab some lunch in town or pack a lunch and head here to enjoy some time in the shade. Stairs provide easy access to the creek to play in the water.

Fun small park with lots of places to sit and good shade. Easy access to parking and nice calming creek running behind the park. The fire department is right across the street and you are close to everything in town!

Fishing store
Outdoor sports store
Crested Butte Angler is a popular choice for guided fishing trips in the Gunnison River Drainage area. The experienced guides at this outdoor store offer various types of fishing trips, catering to different preferences. Customers have praised the knowledgeable and patient guides who provide all necessary gear and demonstrate effective techniques for catching rainbow trout and brown trout in natural settings. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff at the shop and commend their accommodating nature, making it a memorable experience for both novice and experienced anglers alike.
Chris is so knowledgeable and we did half day fly fishing in wader at a creek. Lots of trout and very fun. The wader is pretty new and of high qualify. The view is great. Definitely recommend as family activity.
Deer S — Google review
As far as fly fishing guides go, CB Angler has the best. Matt and Cary (spelling?) were knowledgable, patient, and very good at their craft. I learned more in my 4 hour trip than I have in the past 9-10 year of fly fishing on my own. Not to mention, they put us on some beautiful browns and rainbows. We topped it all off with a couple of crispy cold boys to celebrate a great day on the river.
Chase C — Google review
I stopped into Crested Butte Angler randomly over Labor Day weekend and was able to book a last minute guided trip for the following morning. Will, our guide, was extremely accommodating of my request to bring my dog along for the day which I appreciated. I am not new to fly fishing but Kristine was and Will took the time to go over all the basics in a way that was not intimidating nor overwhelming. She caught some fish and left having a great time, so much so that later in the day she spent two hours at our campsite trying to catch fish! Thanks again for the professionalism (while keeping it real) and I would recommend CBA to anyone looking for a great way to spend a day in CB. Cheers, Colin
Colin H — Google review
Matt from CB Angler took my teenage son and I out for a half day guided fishing trip on the East River. We are novice fly fisherman and Matt had all the gear we needed, he was patient, and he showed us a lot of techniques to catch rainbow trout and brown trout in a natural setting. We had a great time. The guide rates are fair and CB Angler has all the gear for fishing or celebrating the event. Thanks for making our trip to Colorado a memorable one.

Half-day float on the Gunnison with Joey. One of best guides I have fished with. Super knowledgeable about the river, great instructor if you happen to be a beginner angler, and just a pleasure to be in the boat with.

We love going to Crested Butte Angler. Our guide who we've used a few times this summer, Will Puckett, is absolutely amazing! We've hammered trout this summer with him. The guys at the shop are always very friendly and answer all of your questions. The guides themselves are great as well. This is our favorite anglers shop and recommend booking your trip through them. They'll put you on some fish and have a great time doing it!

Farmers' market
The Crested Butte Farmers Market, held in downtown Crested Butte, is an exceptional gathering where one can find a wide variety of vendors offering diverse products such as produce, pastries, and apparel. This popular weekly event attracts a substantial portion of the town's population and takes place until autumn's early days.
My family and I visited the Crested Butte Farmers Market two Sundays ago in downtown Crested Butte. There are amazing vendors selling everything from product to baked goods to clothing items. Much of the town shows up for this weekly event that runs until late September / early October.
Austin R — Google review
Wow, the prices have doubled since three years ago. The cheese stand, the first on the left side as you enter prices its very mediocre tiny feta at $20 and a tiny slice of smoked cheese $25. For two small pieces of cheese and a dozen of eggs the bill was $51 which the lady quickly rang up without even offering a receipt. When I went back to ask if the charge was correct the lady was very annoyed with me. I don’t know how local people can afford to shop here.
Magdalena W — Google review
Lots of art and jewlery. Not much fresh produce. More of a craft market any more. And prices are crazy. Where do the locals expect to get fresh produce from local farms?
Joshua P — Google review
More like a craft fair than a farmers market. Lots of gift type items, art, baked goods. All very high end, very nice and very expensive. A few produce stands, again very expensive. Crowded. Not my favorite, but there is an organic market on 4th Street that has many of the things you'd hope for at a farmers market for more reasonable prices.
Teo — Google review
NOT a “farmer’s market”. No produce is sold here so don’t be surprised. This should be called a “craft fair” or something like it. This is all artisan jewelry, clothing, photography etc. I don’t waste my time at this market hoping to find fresh produce anymore. Sad
Stacey M — Google review
Wonderful and beautiful market with great local items of all kinds. Worth the drive. Will be back next year!

Woods Walk Trail Head, owned by Crested Butte Land Trust, is a popular spot for outdoor ceremonies such as elopements and weddings. It's conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Crested Butte, making it easy to combine a ceremony here with a reception at one of the nearby restaurants. The trail itself offers an easy hike through stunning Aspen trees and connects to the Lower Loop trail near Peanut Lake.

Bar
Kochevar's Saloon, located on Elk Avenue in Crested Butte, Colorado, has a rich history dating back to 1886. This iconic watering hole was once frequented by the notorious bank robber and Wild Bunch leader Butch Cassidy, who is rumored to have left his pistols behind during a hasty departure. Today, the saloon exudes an old-world charm with its colorful shops and restaurants that line the street.
Last Sunday afternoon, my brother and I visited Kochevar's Saloon on Elk Avenue in downtown Crested Butte, Colorado. Kochevar's is an Old West-style saloon housed in the oldest-running establishment in Crested Butte. It was raining outside so we decided to head inside to Kochevar's to wait out the downpour before heading to dinner. The bar was filled with locals who were having a good time getting ready to watch the Avalanche win the Stanley Cup. You can play billiards, darts and shuffleboard, and people were partaking of the various games and enjoying themselves. Kochevar's has free Wifi (ask them at the bar for the passcode), which is especially helpful since cell service in Crested Butte is spotty at best. The bar staff was friendly and the drinks were cheap. If you are looking for a local-style dive bar experience, this is the place.
Austin R — Google review
My friend and I were in town visiting and would end the evening every night here with a beer and playing a game of pool or darts. Super chill place and nice bartenders!
Nadine B — Google review
Wouldn’t necessarily classify this as a dive bar, but two beers for $6 is a good deal. Plus free popcorn. And shuffle board! The outside tables with umbrellas is also a nice touch to stay cool in the summer
Megan C — Google review
This place is so much fun a group of us from Breckenridge came down and had the absolute best time with Shelly the bartender. Peart, the doorman was also really nice and helped us out with understanding the rules of the shuffleboard table. 10/10 will go back was such a great time!

IZAKAYA CABIN in Crested Butte is a vibrant and casual spot that celebrates the Japanese izakaya concept, offering a mix of traditional Japanese bar food and top-notch sushi. The venue features an IZAKAYA main bar with community tables for a lively atmosphere, as well as an elegant sushi loft for a more formal dining experience.
Had a fun meal, sat across from Ben and Ike who did great with our food. Great way to end the day, very solid sushi and fun combos. Really liked the Yuzu Dragon roll! 😭Though funny enough, kinda wish there was some wagyu fried rice available! Will be back!
Chuk N — Google review
Second time at IZAKAYA CABIN, and we will keep coming back again and again. First time ate upstairs with table service, and it was lovely. Second time, ate at the sushi bar and it was even better. We walked in and I told my boyfriend, it's just such a good vibe in here. I love how there are so many different seating and service options, and everyone is so friendly - and we know how stretched thin everyone is in CB right now, but we never felt the service was off at all. But the food, y'all. Every single bite is scrumptious! Clearly this team takes pride in their menu and food quality. The fish was bonkers good, melt in your mouth. And the specialty rolls were all super yummy. 100% worth the $$ :) Highly recommend!
Kourtney T — Google review
We came here for ramen night and were extremely impressed. The vegetarian broth and noodles were delicious. The tofu texture was exquisite. Loved the options to add sweet potato, corn, veggie dumplings, and pineapple. The servers were friendly and attentive. Only area for improvement would be that only one of the four eggs we ordered was truly “jammy” (the others were overcooked). We will definitely be back!
Celeste L — Google review
Izakaya Sushi & Ramen is an incredible dining spot, especially on Monday Ramen Night! Their vegan ramen was absolutely to die for—rich, flavorful, and satisfying in every way. The fried cheese curds were a revelation, with a perfect crispy exterior and soft, melty center that left us wanting more. The mochi dessert was the true star of the show—delicate, chewy, and bursting with flavor. And don’t skip the spice bombs—they added a fantastic kick to the meal, taking the flavors to the next level. The service was another highlight. Despite ordering through an iPad, the servers were attentive, friendly, and made us feel completely at ease. They checked in regularly to ensure we had everything we needed, striking the perfect balance between efficiency and warmth. With its delicious food, welcoming service, and thoughtful touches, Izakaya Sushi & Ramen is a must-visit. Can’t wait to return!
Maulik K — Google review
Went for the Ramen only dinner (Monday evenings), and it was absolutely delicious. Service was quick and attentive, and the ambience was delightful. Everything we ordered - appetizers, drinks, and all the ramen add-ons were amazing. This will certainly be a fixture on my Crested Butte visits.

We somehow went to a different place than the people who gave 5 star reviews. We do not mind paying a lot for quality food, but $80 for 2 happy hour drinks and 2 stale, dry, bland happy hour sushi rolls? Wow. Servers were friendly, but very confused. One of them brought food that someone else ordered to our table 3 times. Also very loud and noisy out on patio.
Sal D — Google review
Super fresh, excellent sushi. We opted for the fixed menu that was $65/pp. Awesome value. Loved every course. We were upstairs and it was quieter with some 2-person and longer tables. Downstairs is the bar and community seating. Was pretty busy there as we left at about 6PM on a Tuesday.
Kelsey C — Google review
YUM! Lived up to the hype ! My favorite was the 5 piece aburi sampler ! The Pablo escolar was my favorite roll! Highly recommend trying the wagyu skewers with chimichurri - phenomenal way to start the night. The miso soup was also exceptionally flavorful. Only thing that was just ok was the wild flower roll. Drinks were also stellar ! Favorite was the Kyoto whiskey sour followed by the ume old fashioned. Wife loved the surf and turf roll and said the handlebar vegetarian roll was just okay.

The Dogwood is a popular late-night spot in Crested Butte, offering an upscale and intimate atmosphere for adults. This old miners cabin turned bar serves creatively infused cocktails and delicious light bites in a dimly lit setting. This bar lived up to the hype. Some places tout chef inspired, hand crafted cocktails. Here, all you need to do is sit at the bar and see what that really means. Our bartender, Andrew, was fun, chatty, and welcoming. Be warned that the place is small and, even though they only serve drinks and light fare, it fills up quickly

Incredible cocktails. You can tell how much thought and effort are put into their creation. The Doldrum Nostrum is one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had

As a born-and-raised Crested Butte local, I've given The Dogwood numerous opportunities over the years, visiting with both family and friends from out of town; however each visit has been marked by consistently rude service and an unwelcome attitude. It's disheartening to repeatedly feel like an unwelcome guest in my own hometown. Having worked in the local service industry my whole life, I understand how tough the job can be, and I truly hoped my earlier poor experiences were just flukes. However, the negative service has been too consistent to ignore, and I genuinely get the sense that customers aren’t valued or wanted here. For a place that prides itself on offering a high-end experience; from drinks to decor, you’d be better off grabbing a to-go margarita from Teocalli, where you’ll at least be greeted with a smile and friendly conversation. I sincerely hope that one day the service at The Dogwood matches the warmth and charm that define Crested Butte's community.

The Dogwood was by far the highlight of our recent trip to Crested Butte. This place is just fantastic. From the drinks, to the staff, to the atmosphere, I cannot say enough good things about The Dogwood. The Beetnick Martini was out-of-this world and the Yellow Rose (while I agree being rosemary forward) was delicious and I can't wait to have another. The folks running this place know their stuff and they know how to make a great drink so don't be afraid to try something new. Some drinks take some time to make, but it’s worth the wait. We loved the warm, comfortable, neighborhood feel of the place. And if you should happen to visit The Dogwood when they have their "balsamic, thyme and garlic pickled eggs” get some!!! They were beyond delicious!!! If you go to Crested Butte, go do The Dogwood!

Excellent craft cocktail bar in a cozy, well decorated and unique cabin setting. Cocktails are innovative and fantastic, and many drinks are made with house-infused liquor. We ordered the beet vodka drink (very beet-y, almost like a cold pressed juice) and the beesting drink (habanero infused tequila), both were amazing. Also ordered the whiskey sidecar drink and the poco loco drink (tropical pineapple vibes), which were great too. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. They also have a little food menu. Definitely recommended, if coming at prime time there may be a wait.

Located in downtown Crested Butte, Thai Chili 78 offers a variety of classic Thai dishes to enjoy on-site, outdoors during the summer, or for takeout. The restaurant has received praise for its delicious appetizers and entrees, with particular highlights being the massaman curry and peanut sauce. Visitors have also appreciated the generous portion sizes and excellent service provided by the friendly staff.
Wow!! I am so glad that I stopped in here on my trip to Crested Butte. I’m a sucker for all good Asian food, especially in mountain towns, and this place did not disappoint. I was choosing between a few menu items and the sweet server walked me through all the most popular items. I could tell she genuinely cared and felt proud of their menu, and I enjoyed hearing her take on all of the food they had. The food was amazing. I love a Thai tea that’s not too sweet and a meal that’s perfectly seasoned and salted. I ended up going with the crispy pork basil with fried egg and everything was amazing. The egg was honestly one of the best eggs I’ve ever had, and the pork basil was amazing. The broth was comforting, rice perfectly cooked. And I topped off the meal with the sticky rice dessert which I absolutely loved. And I can’t say enough about how well we were treated with the service. Highly recommend!

The servers were super attentive. Kept coming to check how the food was and if we needed water refills. I asked for Thai tea limeade and they made it for me! Super sweet family! Would definitely come back if I come back to crested butte for snowboarding!

This is hands down some of the best Thai food I’ve eaten. This is a cute, nicely decorated restaurant. The service was exceptional and they make you feel like you’re so special. I had a small cup of a clear consume like soup that was simply amazing. I’ve never tasted anything like it. There is another Asian food place in Crested Butte. I’ve eaten there on past trips but Thai Chili will be my go to place from now on. I highly encourage everyone to give it try.

The place has a very cozy feel and the service was exceptional. They gave great recommendations on the menu and the food came out quick with great flavor. Don’t miss out of the duck noodle soup! I had come down with a small illness and they offered some broth to take home. It was incredibly generous and speaks to the quality and family feel of the restaurant. HIGHLY recommend this place the anyone swinging through Crested Butte!

While on a weekend getaway, we stopped into this fantastic store and every single employee was kind, engaging, and absolutely lovely. I chose to purchase a sports bra (on sale — BONUS!). After getting home to the front range a week later, I realized that this sports bra was amazing, and I should have bought all of them. After a quick call to the store, they went through what was left and sent me the two bras in my size that were left. I was super pumped. My package arrived so quickly, wrapped up in the cutest paper with a really sweet note. You made my day! Thanks to all of you at Favor the Kind. Your store is fantastic, and I can’t wait to come back!

The shop stood firm on Elk Avenue, its windows bright with color, a beacon in Crested Butte’s sharp air. Inside, Favor the Kind held boho dresses, soft sweaters, each stitch true. Gifts lined the shelves—small, crafted things, honest in their making. The air carried cedar and care, a quiet vow of the kind life. Staff moved easy, smiled quick, their words kind but clear. You could find a jacket to meet the mountain’s chill or a trinket to carry home. Prices fair, quality high. It was a place to pause, to touch fabric, to feel the weight of something real.

Irwin Brewing Company is a local brewery located in Irwin, Colorado. The brewery offers a variety of beers that have received positive feedback from visitors. Their Hazy IPA and Mexican Lager are particularly popular, with some mentioning the small batch Chili Lime Mexican Lager as a must-try. Visitors have praised the cozy atmosphere of the Cat Barn where the brewery is located and have enjoyed purchasing their beers from various locations around town.
It was Awesome, Dave was nice enough to show us around the brewery. He also gave us the low down on the brewing process and the whole canning system. I look forward to going back up there soon!

I’m giving these guys 5 stars because their beers are the bomb! I’ve never been inside the brewery, but that’s OK because I haven’t tried very hard to get in! Basically I can buy their beer all over town and that’s good enough for me. The Public House restaurant which is a short walk away and now a part of the Irwin Brewing conglomerate is awesome too.

Irwin makes some great brews for a local brewery. The Hazy IPA is a favorite and the Mexican Lager is a great light beer. If you are lucky enough to get some of the small batch Chili Lime Mexican Lager, don't pass it up!
Jeff F — Google review
My favorite beers are stouts and Mexican lagers and - fortunately - theirs stack up with the best of them. Unfortunately, I can only get it when I am in town. I also liked two of their other beers that I tried last December, but I forget what they were.
Kris V — Google review
Terrible brewery. Not sure how they stay in business other than they are the only brewery around. They offer no tastings or service of any kind. They’re only open three hours twice a week and their employee isn’t even there half the time. You’re often met with a “back in 15 minutes” sign on their door. Of course it’s more like 30. Their beer is meh. Get your beer and growlers filled in Gunnison. Way better. #embarrassing.
David K — Google review
I tried going there both Friday and Saturday (June 18-19)during the hours posted on their door. Never open finally saw a worker and asked him if I could taste or buy beer. His reply was no. A restaurant down town had some. I did find it at a local liquor store. Not to impressed weak body little taste. And very poor customer service.

Consider myself a novice hiker. This trail is worth it if you like a bit of adventure. Feels straight up for about 750ft of elevation change. But the excitement is the cave you can climb through. Beautiful views!
Ryan T — Google review
One of the highlights of our visit to Crested Butte! The trail is moderate to hard. It continues on beyond the actual cave and connects with other trails making a large loop. We missed the cave the first time. To get to the actual cave hike to the "top". The top is where the trail turns south, gets flat and you'll be on top of the cave with a small cliff beneath you a stunning panoramic view. Turn back North and walk about 100'. On your left (West) you'll notice a gently grade down across the boulders. Then you'll notice that the trail forked before the top lookout and you missed it. Take that about 50' and you're there! It's a little steep getting down into the cave but nothing too scary. We first tried going around and down the East side of the top lookout but that was pretty sketchy with steep slopes covered in loose rock. It would eventually lead you to the bottom of the cave. The other way is much easier and leads to the top.
Joe P — Google review
The hike up to this place is pretty steep and long for someone who doesn't do a ton of hiking, but it's well worth it and a beautiful journey. There are lots of little hiker-made rock villages and collages to discover along the way.

Bonez is a vibrant Mexican restaurant in Crested Butte, offering a diverse selection of Mexican dishes and an extensive variety of tequila. The restaurant boasts a lively atmosphere with folk-art decor and features an impressive 20-foot community table for communal dining. Guests can savor freshly squeezed margaritas and indulge in house-made chips, fresh salsa, queso blanco, and the renowned DIY guacamole.
As a Texan, I'm typically a little leary about Mexican food north of Lubbock. And as a coastal Texan, I definitely question shrimp this far from the coast. But these shrimp tacos! I would hands down not question ordering these again. Look at the size of those shrimp!! Was not expecting that at all. The sauce on these tacos had a slight kick although I'm not sure if it felt spicier because my lips were a bit dry. But nothing most couldn't handle, had a great flavor. 3 tacos was very filling for a bigger guy. I'd also had chips and queso. (Not pictured) The decor in the restaurant aligned with the name of the establishment and was interesting to look around at the tall ceiling and decorations throughout. The food obviously was amazing but If I wasn't hungry and just wanted a tasty margarita this would be the spot to get one. The list of different Margs made the decision more difficult but was pleased with my selection of a spicy margarita. The bartender Sophie was phenomenal and gave great recommendations. Fellow Texans or from any state looking for some great shrimp tacos should stop in and try these with a margarita of your liking.

Been eating my way thru Colorado for a month and tried many different spots! Bonez was a spot our traveling companion friends daughter suggested (unbeknownst to me) that we try weeks/months prior to our visit. So while in Crested Butte, the group decided to give it a try! So, now today, at the end of our journey, I am forced to circle back to Bonez! Some of the best food we had in Colorado hands down! The margaritas (tequila list) was simply amazing! The DYI guacamole is a MUST buy!! The tostadas! The margaritas! The Guacamole! The service! The View! The location to shops. Everything was pretty amazing! We will definitely make a trip out of our way to Created Butte just to eat at this place again!! If you’re reading this, enjoy! Cheers!!

Many of the taco toppings were a little strange compared to what I’m used to but they were willing to modify them to what I like. For those in my party brave enough to try the unusual combinations, they actually liked them. The elote appetizer was good. Overall food was tasty. My only disappointment was the $8 horchata came in a very small glass with lots of ice, no free refills. I realize that most mexican restaurants don’t give free refills but it usually comes in a really large glass.

As a southerner who values true southern hospitality, this restaurant truly delivered. Our waitress, Hazie, was outstanding—friendly and made a wonderful first impression. We kicked things off with three different types of salsa, which she playfully reminded me weren't just hot sauce, as I tend to call them. For the main course, we enjoyed the steak fajitas, which were delicious, while my wife savored the quesadilla salad, which she adored. After our meal, Hazie joined us for a few minutes, and we genuinely enjoyed her company. I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area; the food and staff made our experience memorable!

I love going to Bonez when I visit CB. The food is great (everyone always seems to love the pineapple salsa) and my husband recently had the pork belly bowl & he absolutely loved it! We decided to have our wedding lunch reception here & 30+ guests all loved the food as well. Scott (the general manager) is awesome. He was so nice, helpful & responsive in the months leading up to our wedding. Our waitress Erin was great the day of our wedding. Everything went smooth & was perfect. A Daily Dose is a must-visit spot in Colorado. The Secret Stash offers delicious pizzas like The Woodward and the Big Ass Margarita, making it a favorite among pizza lovers. It's an essential stop for anyone visiting CB. Additionally, the place serves organic air-roasted espresso drinks, smoothies, sandwiches, and salads in a fun and light atmosphere with friendly staff.
It was by chance that we went here. Several other places on a Sunday morning had very long lines, so we ended up here. The place was very comfortable with great friendly service and better prices than the others with long lines. I had an iced cold pressed coffee with vanilla and cream that was very generous and less expensive than what I had experienced elsewhere and a pastry that was a croissant with chocolate that I thoroughly enjoyed. My wife had a breakfast burrito with turkey sausage, egg, and cheese that was very fresh, grilled, and very large at a reasonable price. I have no idea why the line was short here other than the store front was somewhat non-descript. Definitely will go there again!

Couldn’t drink the cappuccino. Milk over steamed but better than Starbucks. Coffee very bitter and probably over expressed. Staff is nice and service quick and efficient. The interior is funky and clean but too dark for my taste. Very limited out door seating. Good effort on making the chocolate croissant but dough more like pie dough rather than croissanty and an odd after taste. Blueberry muffin was pretty good.
B M — Google review
The food, the coffee and the smoothies were all top notch. I highly recommend stopping in here if you’re in town. I’m not for sure if it was the owner that I spoke to or not, but she gave me a perfect little spot for my family and I to have our breakfast where it was just us, to soak in the views of the mountains.
Vanessa M — Google review
A cute, cozy coffee shop vibe. There’s a big chalkboard menu on the wall with food and juice options. It wasn’t too crowded on a Monday morning, but (for the anxious shoppers) that set up is a little uncomfortable as I felt in the way of the line as I looked at the menu. If that kind of stuff bothers you, I suggest looking online first so you’re prepared. My own anxieties aside, the two employees behind the counter were friendly and nice. I was tempted by the pastries next to the register, and I’m so glad I got the strawberry cream cheese danish. I was looking for a lil snack while I had my coffee, and this plus an americano was the perfect pair. There were pretty live floral arrangements on each table, which adds an extra touch of thoughtfulness to the overall aesthetic. I wish I had more time in Crested Butte to try more of the menu, but I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent at A Daily Dose.

We dropped by to warm up. The decor and furniture had an old style cafe / coffee shop feel. It seemed like a place where you could pull out a laptop and work for hours. While the coffees we ordered didn’t suit our tastes, the food menu looked great.

Donita's Cantina is a long-standing Mexican restaurant known for its generous portions of classic dishes like enchiladas, burritos, and chimichangas. The friendly service and famous margaritas make for a relaxing dining experience. Guests also rave about the legendary homemade salsa that's available to take home. The chef's specials are highly recommended, and the vegetarian options are impressive. The cozy ambiance with a fireplace adds to the overall appeal of this spot.
Darn Good Food and Service. Welcoming atmosphere. Owners are always there. Fresh. Affordable. Made-from-Scratch. Strong amazing Fresh Lime Margaritas.

Came here on a monday night and there was a wait but no hostess was taking names, people would just come in and write their names down themselves. There were several large groups, our first poor waitress looked very tired. This place was severely understaffed and service was slow. There didn't seem to be any sort of manager around either, just the bartender and two waiters dealing with a full restaurant. The queso was good but a palty amount for /$9/. The two tacos my dad ordered for $4.50 each were more like mini tacos. I got the mild red sauce on my enchiladas and it was spicy-ish, but the enchiladas themselves were so good (just dont expect them to be like Tex-mex enchiladas that are smothered in cheese). Our second waiter Chris was nice but just as overwhelmed. Wouldn't recommend this place when its busy, also the margarita prices are through the roof so maybe come during happy hour.

Solid Mexican option in CB. Sat by the fireplace which was nice. We both really enjoyed the food, the blue corn enchiladas special was really good. Margaritas were strong and refilled as soon as they got low. Overall very good and the price was decent for the quality of food and service.

I have eaten at Donita's over 35 years and Tom the chef is becoming better and better!! His specials are so amazing and great. Had the most fantastic dinner special there 2 weeks ago with some of my best girlfriends. I like to eat early and they open at 5:30. They are now serving two different type of chips with salsa as an appetizer before you get your meal. I have always enjoyed the good food there

Fun, relaxed, warm atmosphere. This place is a locals favorite, family owned (2 sisters) since the 90s. They we're able to accommodate our group of 9. Great food and service. Authentic New Mexican Cuisine in downtown Crested Butte. We will be back for sure!

I really like this place. Good margarita's and fantastic and friendly service. Might not be the best Mexican food you ever had but still very decent. Prices are reasonable too. AND, me and my husband LOVE their sopapillas! We make a point to stop there when we are in CB.

The wait staff was friendly. They were late opening the restaurant. Food was not very good. I was taken aback by the fact that there was salsa laying out on all the tables when it opened. I had a green chili bowl and my husband had a rellano and enchilada. We were very disappointed in the lack of flavor in the food. Not authentic Mexican food. However, it was a very friendly atmosphere.

Really nice personal experience sharing photos and stories with our server. She went above and beyond with great vegetarian suggestions for us. They care a lot about all of the various dietary restrictions (gluten, etc). Not that we have those issues...but, it was just mentioned in conversation. Super friendly spot!

Mikey's Pizza is a popular spot in Crested Butte, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's known for its top-notch breakfast sandwiches and burritos, making it a great option for a quick morning meal. The pizza slices are generously sized and come with delicious thin crust that customers rave about. In addition to their pizzas, Mikey's also excels in sandwiches and salads.
This place is great! You can stop by and just buy a single slice or you can buy a whole pizza! The pizza is really good and the single slices are pretty big and filling. It has really cute outside seating the seats are made out of skis which fits the vibe and its a very chill atmosphere. Its also great if you just want to take a pizza home. However if you are looking to sit inside, this is not your place. Also the pizza is really good and the single slices are pretty big. The man that was working there I assume he owns it, he was very nice also.

This location is a walk up and order pizza establishment. I was very happy to eat here twice in one day. The first order was perfect. The dough was NY style very large, tasty, and crispy. I wanted more so after my event in town, I ordered a to-go (large garden salad, pepperoni roll, spinach roll, cheesesteak sandwich, extreme cheesesteak sandwich). I did not receive my entree a large dinner salad. Thankfully my family shared their sandwiches which both were delicious. The pepperoni roll was very doughy. Though the spinach roll was delicious.

Mikey's is a great place for pizza if you are visiting Crested Butte. They have pizza, calzones, subs and salads. It is a little place so there is no seating inside, but there are a couple of tables outside yo sit and eat at. Pizza was great, we went with pepperoni. We also ordered a gangster sub which was good too and everything was ready in 15 mins. Great way to end our trip in Crested Butte!

Off the beaten path in CB, making it a perfect location to get a homemade pizza! The Gluten free crust was delicious, and though there was a wait, it was well worth it in the end. It was obvious this was where the locals got their pizza, so we knew it would be great.

A go-to stop in CB. Slices are great, sandwiches fantastic, never disappointed in six years of stopping in!

Mixed feelings on my order. They offer pizza slices and this was incredible, best pizza I’ve had in CB. I got a pepperoni pizza roll which was a nice side dish and good portion. The chicken parm sandwich I was most excited for but it was relatively pricey, and had almost zero chicken on it, like one chicken nuggets worth on the whole sandwich. And the sandwich was smaller than the pasta salad that it comes with and smaller than the pizza roll. Nonetheless I will 100% be back here every time I come to CB! Just won’t be ordering the sandwiches

We are a local family. We ordered take out the other night after Alpenglow. The crust couldn't have been thinner. There was a minimal amount of cheese. The toppings were sparse as well. Very disappointing to see a great pizza joint slip so far.
