Barbecue restaurant
Restaurant
Monk's BBQ is a laid-back spot known for its smoked meats, craft beers, and bourbon. Located in Purcellville, Northern Virginia, this joint offers some of the best brisket and pastrami in the area. The menu features mouthwatering options like burnt ends, pulled pork, and flavorful sides such as smoked Gouda mac & cheese and vinegar-based slaw. Whether you're craving barbecue classics or upscale dishes, Monk's BBQ has something for every mood.
15JULY2025 Excellent, friendly, and honest service. Me and my partners first time here and we will be back. The customers and staff are wonderful. Me and my partner got the 1/2 lb of pulled pork and it was tender and moist. The house sauce is delicious.

Great food! Awesome music and super friendly staff. The hot links the turkey, the ribs, the jalapeno poppers all excellent. Stop in. They have a full bar and you won't get any better. Smoked meats, baked beans, coleslaw and just a great atmosphere to show up. Hang out. Hang out all day. Get your Billy full, get you a cold drink and listen to some hometown jams. We really enjoyed our stop and we will be back as soon as possible

These barbecue ribs were definitely the best I’ve ever had. They were incredibly fresh and had almost no bones, cooked perfectly. I was amazed by the quality and the generous portion size. The ambiance was also great, and I loved the smell of wood on the food. The smashed potatoes were outstanding as well. I highly recommend this place.
Kasra S — Google review
This place is most likely the best bbq in Virginia. If you're heading here from the DMV, don't expect Purcellville prices to be lower than home. Brisket is insanely juicy. Ribs pretty good too. Desserts hit.

I’ve been coming to Monk's BBQ for years and finally decided to leave a review — this place truly deserves the recognition. Without a doubt, it’s one of the best BBQ joints in Northern Virginia. The quality is consistently top-tier, and it’s no surprise they’ve been featured on multiple news outlets. The menu offers a great variety, but I always recommend The Piglet — it’s perfect for 2 to 4 people and gives you a generous sampling of their BBQ staples like brisket, burnt ends, sausage, and more. Every item is meticulously prepared and packed with flavor, making for a fantastic BBQ experience every time. If you’re in the area and love real BBQ, Monk's is an absolute must-visit.

AMAZING! Everything.was.Amazing Friendly staff, fast service, DELICIOUS food, generous portions. Both the pastrami and pulled chicken were melt in your mouth tender. Beautiful smoke flavor Great homemade sauces And the cornbread is on a seperate planet of goodness!!!!! It would be dangerous if this spot was closer to home! I'm already drooling/dreaming of our next visit Other notes: Order at the counter and then they bring your order to you. Plenty of seating - indoor and outdoor ( covered patio area) Huge selection of craft beers, whiskey and bourbon Clean gender neutral restrooms What we tried *Pastrami: Whole beef brisket cured and seasoned with their pastrami rub and smoked all night *Pulled Chicken: Our chicken is smoked whole over a blend of hickory and cherry. *Cornbread custard *Monks beans (with smoked rib tips) *Vingear slaw My rating rationale +1 Service +1 Food~Taste/flavor/quality +1 Presentation +1 Atmosphere/vibe +1 Value

Tried the mini BBQ platter. Got a little bit of everything! More than enough food for the ,5 of us. I like the sausage, the rest of the party gave it mixed reviews, ribs solid fall of the bone. Pulled pork was good as was the chicken.smoked pastrami was good if a bit dru. There were more meats on the platter... Not sure which was which.... Two seemed to be burnt ends... The large chunks ... Were over cooked and tough... The small slices seasoned all over were juicy fatty slices of heaven! One more pulled something... Good smoked flavor but dry and chewy. Good cornbread but it is more of a dessert. Loved the udder style of getting extra sauce! Great selection of beers and bourbon! Live entertainment on the weekends! Service isn't much..Order than hope you find a seat. Seating is grab it if you can . just a flag and a drop off.

Our party of 7 came here for lunch on a Sunday. We like the cozy, friendly atmosphere. The manager or owner came by to welcome and said Hi twice. At this restaurant, you pick a table, go to order the food, get the drinks yourself, then a server will bring to food to the table. Everything worked very well. We ordered various dishes, all were OK, no wow factor. 2 of us came here specifically to have the pastrami but it was dry, not much flavor, quite a disappointment! You will see a black board with list of dishes but watch out, all sides, including corn bread have their own prices, so the bill will be higher than we expected. We might be back to try some other dishes

We had a very unpleasant time here. It seems like the other people may not have had a pleasant time either as there is another review that was submitted the same day we went. The staff (already short staffed) seemed to be getting ready for an event. We had to sit outside because the entire area inside was going to be used and they wanted to set up. A few people were eating inside but no one was allowed to. The area outside was no prepped for people to sit. They barely had a few booths that had been wiped down. We were looking at the menu and ordered at least water and perhaps an appetizer from a young lady. Not even 5 min later a man came over (maybe chef) and asked if we were ready to order but he was in a haste and walked off when we said we needed more time. She came back and we ordered food. The appetizer was basically thrown on the table by person who brought us the food. He was half walking away while dropping off the appetizer. The rest food was delivered and we asked for a side of marinara. It was never brought over. We would have left sooner but it started pouring. The lady brought us the check when we asked for boxes. We noticed that they charged us for the marinara sauce. We couldn’t get the lady so we spoke to a manager. He seemed a bit bothered by the fact that we pointed it out but he said he would make it right. We asked if there was Apple Pay and he said yes but that we had to go to the front. We went to the front and a very rude lady said that it couldn’t be used because they get charged for using Apple Pay. She wanted cash. At the end she took Apple Pay. We asked for a bag for our boxes and she said they were .50 cents each so we said fine. Overall very unpleasant and the food was ok-ish. The pasta was overly salty. The mozzarella sticks ok and the calzone was ok just too much ricotta cheese. I would avoid this place if you plan to pay with anything other than cash and if you see they are setting up for something because they cannot multi-task. There was only one other person in the back and even then it was too much for them which made atmosphere and attitudes very unpleasant.

Got the Fish and chips lunch special for $12 and the Chefs special Lamb Shank for $22. Both were incredible with the Lamb Shank taking top spot. Got my order to go, it held up well in transport but I regret not finding the time to have a seated meal as the ambience was nice and the wines and mixed drinks looked enticing.

We had a delicious meal here, salmon with linguine and vegetarian stromboli. Plus chocolate cake. Went back again two months later and the meal was just as delicious! Kid-friendly, too.

Stopped here for lunch. I ordered a caprese salad and a side of garlic bread, hubby ordered an individual pizza. Portions are large! So you might want to ask about how much/how large items are before ordering. My side of garlic bread could easily have fed four (I took it home, because it was very good.) Same with the pizza which was cooked to order and very tasty. Service is laid back and friendly. The decor harkens back to an earlier time and while not awful, it does feel like this place could benefit from a refresh. Seems like this is a popular spot for locals who were lingering over a lunch when we got there around 1:00. We won't be regulars, but if our travels take us this way again, we'd be glad to stop in for a shared pizza and salad lunch.

Restaurant
Market Burger Fries & Shakes is a compact counter-order restaurant located in Purcellville, offering delicious local beef hamburgers and classic milkshakes. The restaurant is known for its juicy, grass-fed beef patties with a variety of toppings, as well as rich malts and shakes. It's situated near other popular dining spots like Magnolias, Monks BBQ, Anthonys, West End Wine Bar and Pub, and Tuskies.
We read somewhere that this place is one of Loudoun County’s best burger places and decided to give it a try, even though it’s about 35 minutes driving from our house. Definitely worth it! The place is charming, staff is super nice and friendly, and the best part is the food! Nicely put on the serving plate. House burger is what we ordered, egg and bacon just makes it special. We’ll for sure be back for more!
Jan H — Google review
This seems to be a quaint little place. They have burgers and fries and nothing else, but that's not bad. There is a good selection of toppings for your burger. When the burgers arrived, it was quite noticable that the fries are enormous. Good thing we only order 1. They are homemade shoestring fries which were crispy almost to the point of overdone but not quite. The burgers looked attractive initially. It was then obvious that the burgers were significantly smaller than the bun which was disappointing. The patty was thin but that's okay. I was taken aback by the bill. The burgers are decent but not meaty enough for the a la cart price. I am willing to return if others wish to go and check it out.
Papa J — Google review
Flavorful, juicy burgers made to order. Generous serving of really good shoe string fries which we polished off. Try the herb mayo! Charming vintage decor of Purcellville through the years in this no more than 20 person seating area which is always full. Friendly efficient staff, bus your own tray, but if they have time will bring food to your table.
Susan D — Google review
The place didn’t live up to my expectations. The photos and reviews were so enticing that I rushed to try it out, but the food was disappointing. The fries were good, but the burger was just average. Additionally, I find it strange when fast-food restaurants like this ask for tips after you order from the cashier.
Kasra S — Google review
Stopped by for lunch about 2 weeks ago and haven’t stopped thinking about the delicious BLT I had .. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT !! Every thing about my sandwich and nicely fried shoe string fries was very good. I wish they had a few more beverages to choose from and a tad bit more elbow grease on cleaning ✨✨ I had already enjoyed 1/2 my sandwich before snagging a picture because it had my mouth watering and it delivered 💯

Greasy, juicy, freshly sourced burger! Excellent service! 10/10
Chad H — Google review
This place is awesome. I have no way of accurately describing this place other than they provide a burger-centric experience. The whole vibe is just simple, awesome burgers. People compare to melt in Leesburg. It's difficult to compare because these are closer to smash burgers. 6/10 times, id come here over melt. What i love: Patty Pickles Maple mustard Sweet potato fries Tavern style fries Herb mayo Generous portions Generous toppings Speed of service The brioche bun is great (I prefer melts sourdough buns tho) They earned a regular customer
Grant E — Google review
Very good sweet potato fries and burgers. Lots of topping options and love that it’s all locally sourced. I would say taste and quality rivals Melt Burger in Leesburg with fries and quality maybe a little shower however patties are a bit thinner here and less topping and alternative options. Seating is crowed and it take some time to get your food but this seems typical of most burger joints in the area. I would say if you like Melt you’ll like this place. I would rate them both as some of the best burgers in the area with a few key differences.

Magnolias at the Mill is a charming New American restaurant located in a restored grain mill, offering a farm-to-fork dining experience. My wife and I popped in one afternoon for a quick little dinner. On a Friday night, we were seated quickly and our waiter was fantastic! She was super friendly and gave a quick overview of the daily items. We had the burger on a previous visit and it was so juicy and delicious! This spot doesn't disappoint with its delicious farm fresh offerings.

We dined here on a whim on vacation and it is now one of our all time favorites! The menu was so impressive and everything was so good from start to finish . My Margarita with watermelon infused tequila and basil was refreshing and perfect for summer. The BLT salad was the best I’ve ever had . The porterhouse pork chop with peach chutney was the highlight and a perfect combination. Service was also great . We enjoyed patio seating but the inside was gorgeous. We will be making the trip back just for Magnolia at the Mill!

We wanted that farm to table experience and this place fits that vibe. Food came out fresh and flavorful. Service was helpful and friendly too. Deviled eggs- tasty Ancient grains salad with steak- lean and filling. Would have been better if they let me add the dressing because it came out soggy Cheese burger- was good but messy The focaccia bread they serve is sooo good! So easy to fill up on it! They had a nice menu. There are more things I would love to try on the menu.

My husband and I decided to have dinner here for the first time this past Monday, and it was absolutely fabulous! We have had a rough few weeks and decided to go on an impromptu date night and decided to check this spot off our list of new places we had been wanting to try. Our server Kiara was kind, attentive, & was very knowledgeable in the menu options, which was very helpful when we were stuck deciding exactly what to choose. We started off with the fried green tomatoes which were so good I forgot to even take a picture. By the time I realized this we had already eaten half of the appetizer. For drinks my husband had the pomegranate sparkler and I had "The Ideal Husband" with the jalapeño vodka. Then, for our second round we had "The Greer" & I had a titos lemon drop martini with a sugar rim. When I tell you the lemon drop was out of this world, im talking like a boozy ball park lemonade. I couldn't even taste the vodka, but it was definitely there! Special shout out to the bar tender Sabrina because all of our drinks were fabulous! For entrée we both had the filet special with lump crab meat, asparagus, & potatoe gratin. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the crab meat was fresh and huge in volume and the sauce was to die for! It was probably one of the best steaks I have had recently. So soft and just melted in your mouth! For dessert we had the creme brulle and the brick over baked cookie a la mode. The creme brulle was made with fresh vanilla as I could see the fresh vanilla beans in the bottom of the dish and the brulle top was done to perfection accompanied with a lemon shortbread cookie, fresh berries & cream. The cookie was also incredibly well balanced and you cant go wrong with a warm chocolate chunk cookie and ice cream! We cant wait to come back!!

We had an awesome gluten free lunch with Fish & Chips and a side of GF bread. What a treat! It was delicious. I didn't want chips and got brussel sprouts instead. They were fabulously crunchy. The service was impeccable and the surroundings soothing and fun at the same time. Definitely recommend!

⸻ We made a reservation for 11 people, and they accommodated our party with no issues. The restaurant offers both outdoor and plenty of indoor seating. I ordered the Almond Crusted Trout — it was a great dish, though a bit heavy on the almonds. I was a little disappointed that the Beef Tenderloin Tip Pasta couldn’t be cooked medium rare. I also wish the menu had more healthy options, as most dishes come with creamy sauces or risotto. It would be nice to see some lighter sides, like potatoes or asparagus, instead of risotto with every entrée, especially for the price point. On a positive note, the kids’ meal portions were generous and very tasty

First time at this restaurant. Gave 4 star out of 5, because a Tea was served w/o a spoon, no honey or lemon even though I requested it. The empty Tea cup was not clean and the spoon when arrived was not clean either. Don’t go too hungry, because I waited more than one hour for the food and other customers that arrived after me, their food was served first. But I must say, my food was very delicious.

Brewery
Adroit Theory Brewing Company is a small, nano-brewery located in Purcellville, Loudoun County, Virginia. The airy and industrial taproom offers a unique selection of barrel-aged craft beers on tap and also provides growlers to go. Known for their innovative interpretations of classic styles, the brewery's offerings include mango IPAs, mint and green tea saison, caramel macchiato milk stout, stouts & DIPAs.
Best local brewery! Been coming for over a decade, amazing how much the place is grown. I remember when you could try them all at once! Absolutely incredible art work and naming! Newest one “death metal” is awesome.
Christopher C — Google review
This isn't the cookie cutter brewery. The tap list shows imagination, a bit of experimentation, and some brews push the limits of what can still be described as beer. For example, the Imperial Stout was thick and a muddy beige color, like a milkshake and had the most amazing creamy nutty flavor that was unlike any beer or anything I've ever had before. About the place: the taproom was small with limited seating, the taplist had a very good variety, we sat on the outdoor patio, as the weather was nice the day we visited. I walked in excited to try everything Adroit Theory had available and I left the place very impressed. I can go to a different brewery every day and I won't come across anything quite like Adroit Theory. Well done, guys. My hats off to the good folks behind this concept!
Joe G — Google review
Loved their smoothie sours and dessert beers, they are extremely tasty and definitely out of the normal. I also enjoy the music played at the establishment. In comparison to other breweries it’s on the smaller end and not many other things to do/drink/eat a side from their tap, but the quality of the beers definitely make up for that.
Sara A — Google review
Felt like a hidden gem, hole in the wall kind of vibe. Lots of interesting beers on the menu, many with high ABV. The triple IPA on tap was dank, stone fruity, hazy, and delish. But, also triple, so getting a smaller pour is probably the move. Their stouts ranged from 12 to 16.4% alcohol. Tried 5 oz. of one of the 12 percenters, and it's darn good. Bought a can of 16.4% to take home. Stickers are free and plentiful, but are also only beer labels.
Peter D — Google review
Seen several reviews here, most very good and some with mixed reviews, so I figured I’d leave my honest input. Adroit Theory is an overall pretty good brewery. Be aware that there is not much parking around the area when it is busy. The venue was pretty nice, however small on the inside. When the weather is nice though, they have a decent patio for seating. The beer was very good. It was a little more expensive than other breweries, however, they were very good and the more expensive ones were specialized styles. It was a bit disappointing that only 4 of their 16 beers were on draft. Partly I’m sure this comes from smoothie sours/coffee creams clogging lines, but it would’ve been nice for their IPAs to be on draft. As a heads up, you can get singles/crowlers to go! Service was decent. They had one person working the counter. For most days it’s probably fine, but going on a weekend with 30+ people the person was overwhelmed and service was slow and at times crowded. All in all this is a pretty decent brewery with very good beer I would recommend going to.
David S — Google review
The beers of this brewery are unique and very flavorful. Even the artwork of the labels are amazing!
Jesse R — Google review
BEST BREWERY AROUND, IMO!! I've enjoyed their beers for years! Hundreds of breweries tried later and still possibly my favorite!! Not sure how you make a quad drink like a 6%er but they do. Not sure how you make all these insane stouts, slushies, IPA'S, and sours so amazing but here you are, killing it!!! The flavors they're able to put into these beers is unrivaled! Never, ever have i seen these flavor profiles in beer form. You think it, id almost assure you they can brew it. Had the best apple cider donut stout there this week in regular and slushy form and both were awesome! My pick, the slushy! The brewery atmosphere is awesome if you're chill but love music, mostly metal. But, and a big but, make friends with Chris and Mikaela, they're the best!!!!! The brewer and assistant brewer are cool as hell too! I cant imagine finding a funnier group of genuinely amazing folks! Fantastic, funny, and full of life! The customers rock as well! Looking forward to our next trip up from TN-VA!! Hopefully sooner rather than later!!! Make sure you try all the beers available in slushy form in both non slushy and slushy form, very different. I got to see some cool puppies too! And if you wanna buy a SXS or 4 wheeler they sell them across the road!
Nathan L — Google review
Love this brewery! The beers are always interesting, delicious and they have a ton of options. You cannot beat the atmosphere inside with great tunes, cozy couches, and plenty of bar height tables and stools. Pack a picnic and enjoy the outdoor seating while sampling your favorites or trying something new, like one of the summer slushies. (omg! so good) This is a great spot for a meet up, hang out, or a party bus stop. It's important to note, their excellent beer is only topped by the quality of people who work here. They share so much information about the beers and you can tell they really care about their customers experience, the beverages they produce, and creating a welcoming space for all beer lovers. It's a good thing they arent open super late or we would spend a lot more evenings here. The To Go Menu makes it really easy to bring their tasty brews home too! We have made visiting Adroit a part of our regular routine and suggest you do the same!

Breaux Vineyards is a popular hillside winery located in far northwest Loudoun County, set on a 400-acre estate near the Potomac River. The French Chateaux-style winery offers tours, tastings, and outdoor markets, along with patio dining and live music. The elegant interiors are inspired by Louisiana and the venue offers multiple options for ceremonies, including the romantic Lafayette Terrace nestled among the vines and the opulent Acadia with panoramic windows.
Wholeheartedly recommend. Pros: - Nice dry wines with full flavor - which can be hard in VA to produce. Also has sweet options, including sangria. - Pet friendly both outdoors and inside; they even have an area that you can be inside with your pet! This is quite unique for VA wineries/breweries. - Personal food only outside, but once you finish eating your food outside you can move about wherever you like. You can sit wherever if you buy their food. - They had a variety of seating arrangements outside. They even had a large tent area for groups - Friendly staff, who were patient and helpful when picking a wine to suit your tastes. - Live music - visited on a Sunday afternoon, and live music until 5pm! - Beautiful scenery, and a large amount of their own grapes. - Inclusive food menu with beyond burger as an option for Vegan/Vegetarians. Opportunities: - Water; as mentioned in other reviews, bring your own water or pay $2.50/bottle (Aug 2025). They did also have other non-alcoholic drinks. They stated they have "agricultural" water that is not safe to drink. What do they use when washing dishes for cooking in the kitchen? Not sure why they couldn't just install a reverse osmosis sink filtration system or another suitable water filter/water fountain. We can bring our own water but it is a bit mind boggling.

Nice vineyard, plenty of tables and selection of wines. The place was nice, but minus one star for the wines. The best one we had was Chere Marie. Had two different flights and we enjoy the Chere Marie white wine which is similar to Reislings. It has live singer too, overall a fun day with awesome weather.

Overall, the location is gorgeous with a beautiful view. However, the overall experience is pretty subpar. There really is no customer service except behind the main bar. The inside is very nice with live music. If you sit on the outside patio, there is no music. No waitress/waiter checking up on your party, taking orders, picking up trash, cleaning the area, etc. You have a buzzer that lets you know when your food is ready, and you go inside to pick it up. The food is nothing special. Very basic items on the menu that are served in plastic take away boxes. Once you're done with your meals, you have to clean up your own table. Bathrooms are a disaster. Smells like death, dirty tissues everywhere, and dirty stalls. The positives: overall view is beautiful, prices are very affordable, and the customers all seemed very happy. Staff seems friendly. Overall experience: if you want a casual place to sip on wine and eat basic foods for an affordable price with a decent view, check this place out. The overall cleanliness and lack of customer service needs works in my opinion. Check out the pictures for reference.

I had a pretty mixed experience at Breaux. We visited as a group of 12 and were told we couldn’t sit outside on their balcony because of the risk of our “noise” bouncing off the covered roof, which felt a bit off. They also wouldn’t let us split into two smaller groups to make it work, so we had to sit inside. The vibe inside was… interesting. Lots of fake flowers and parrots for their Key West event, which felt out of place at a vineyard in Virginia. I’m not sure why you’d want to pretend you’re at a Florida retirement home when you’re surrounded by beautiful Virginia countryside. A few other odd choices: they don’t offer free drinking water, even though they’re serving alcohol. You have to buy plastic bottled water, which seems irresponsible, especially since everyone has to drive to get there. This alone docked a star—why not offer free tap water? Food came in plastic clamshell containers with plastic cutlery, which felt wasteful. The po boy was just a shrimp sandwich—no battered or fried shrimp and no shredded lettuce as you’d expect from an actual po boy. The charcuterie was pre-made and pulled from a fridge covered in plastic wrap, not fresh or made to order. That said, the staff were friendly, and the wine was decent and relatively reasonably priced (about $30 a bottle, $20 for a tasting). The outdoor grounds were nice too—it’s just a shame we couldn’t enjoy them properly. Overall, it felt like some strange decisions from management took away from what could be a nice experience.

A warm and peaceful afternoon at the winery. Fall was absolutely beautiful, and I can’t wait to see how the other seasons will feel here.

This has to be one of the best vineyards I visited. It has a very beautiful view. They have a very good collection of wine 🍷 We visited during a key west festival and we witnessed a pretty good crowd. Everyone has dressed up very pretty and we had a very beautiful day. Not to forget the bands that played. They were amazing . Overall a best experience. We are definitely going to stop one more before the winters hits.

This is one of our favorite wineries! They are semi-dog friendly inside with only the room on the right by the patio, which was a little warm due to the hot and humid July temps, but better than outside in all of that heat. The wines are delicious, the service is excellent, and the scenery is spectacular!

The wine is excellent, the staff are super knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating, the facilities are pristine, the events are well organized, the food is delicious, and the overall environment is classy and very down-to-earth all at the same time. Parking is easy and organized. Staff are typically waiting to greet customers, provide information, direction, and willing to help. I've been here multiple times. Each time is the same--perfect.

What a great spot! Fun for the whole family with axe throwing, darts, pool tables and board games. Perfect outing on a rainy day. Nice people, good vibes, we will definitely be back!

I'm fairly new to axe throwing, having only visited two other axe throwing venues in the DMV...but THIS one was the BEST! The sheer number and variety of axe throwing games available is awesome! Both Kristen and Lori, our hosts on the day we visited, were equally awesome and welcoming and helpful. There is an impressive selection of draft beer on hand, and while we didn't have any, the food did DID look great! I cannot more HIGHLY recommend a better place to try axe throwing in. Northern Virginia...make it a priority to visit Elysium!!! 🙂

The marching band mom’s and our son’s got together to experience something a little different… WE all had a phenomenal time. It was a cool & chill atmosphere. Those chipotle chicken wings were absolutely amazing! Best of all, although we were amateurs we had a blast throwing axes!

Was my first time ever axe throwing with friends and it was a great experience! My friends who had never been to this location before were even saying it was way more fun here than other places they've been! Great music, great drinks, and friendly staff all made it a great time! Also would highly recommend the shot roulette!

We got there at 2 pm on Saturday, when it opened. Just grabbed some sodas. Staff/Axe Coach is extremely nice and helpful. I was very impressed with how upscale it is. We loved the different game options... Killing zombies was the best. We'll be back.

When looking for a new place to try, I always look at reviews for places and products. So here is my review for Elysium Axe Bar in Purcellville, Va. My husband and I had been wanting to try this place out for a while now, so we decided tonight’s the night! The on line reservation process was easy, we reserved a time and a lane without any problems. Upon arrival the staff was polite and very helpful. They went over waivers and axe throwing safety with us, prior to our start time. We enjoyed a few appetizers and drinks while having a great time throwing axes at different targets and games. Elysium was clean and had a great atmosphere. Fun place for adults , teens and families to enjoy. We are looking forward to going back soon.

Visited Elysium Axe Bar for the first time and was pleasantly thrilled at the whole experience! The server/Axe Throwing Trainer Steven was super friendly and helpful (and didn’t once laugh at our lack of skill ;) We enjoyed apps and cocktails while trying out the various axe throwing games. The online reservation process super user friendly and as we arrived we’re shown directly to our stall. The live music added to the light hearted atmosphere and was talented! Your reservation is for 90 mins and seemed long but actually flew by ! We’ll definitely be back!!

Modern European restaurant
BIA Kitchen is a charming restaurant that offers an elegant and inviting atmosphere. The menu features delectable dishes such as calamari, salmon salad, steak tips, duck confit, and churros with chocolate dipping sauce. The food is beautifully prepared and presented, ensuring a delightful dining experience. The service provided by the staff is friendly and attentive. BIA Kitchen is a hidden gem in northern Virginia that promises a memorable meal for special occasions or any time you're craving exceptional cuisine.
Great food, generous portions, great service and cozy atmosphere. Went here for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. The cocktails were really good and unique. We both got Anna's revenge, which is spicy and just perfect. I had the beef short rib ravioli and my husband got the crab cakes. Portions were larger than expected and food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Can't wait to return. My only critique is the top floor was pretty loud, which was too jarring for me. They could use some sound damper omg panels or something to fix it if they wanted. But I will be back! It was good!

We made reservations at Bia Kitchen for my husband's birthday after reading their reviews on Open Table and Google. Unfortunately, my review does not include many positives. We started with the bruschetta as our appetizer. This consisted of three crostinis with a pile of tomato something. It did not have much flavor at all, which is quite surprising for a bruschetta, but we were hopeful going into our meals. Everyone raved about the short rib ravioli in the reviews and that was what my husband ended up getting. He was very disappointed with the three flavorless raviolis on his plate. Honestly, he had nothing good to say about this entree. I ordered the sea bass entree. The sea bass was cooked well but the succotash that accompanied it was not good. It was supposed to be paprika but all I kept getting was strong bites of cumin every now and again. The mango was a good addition since it had lots of flavor itself but the red beans were not soft, some even crunchy. I also ordered a side of spinach and wild mushrooms, which was a small dish of sauteed spinach and shiitake mushrooms - not the wild mushroom mix I was thinking we'd receive. For drinks, my husband ordered an Old Fashion. The Old Fashion was weak in flavor and also did not include any orange. Maybe using a large format cube would help with keeping it from tasting watered down. I ordered two mules. The first mule was pretty good with a nice mix of ginger beer, vodka, and lime. The second, not so much. My first sip, even after stirring, was straight lime juice concentrate. So, 2 out of the three $14 cocktails were weak and almost flavorless. Needless to say, we opted out of dessert. The service was the only good thing about our experience and seeing the beautiful millwork. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Gerry was also very kind as we arrived and were departing. I don't know if we just came on a bad day or if there was a change in the kitchen, but this was not what I was expecting. We spent a good amount of money here to only come out feeling unsatisfied and, honestly, still hungry. I felt terrible that my husband didn't get a good birthday dinner out.

Gorgeous old building, very comfortable setting, very welcoming staff Definitely recommend the fish and chips, seared tuna salad, and the ribeye. Desserts were fresh and incredible. We made the mistake of scheduling our reservation for tomorrow, and even though we arrived at 8:15 on a 9 pm closing night they were super friendly and accommodating. Food was beyond expectations, the wines were incredible. Just go! We are going to become regulars, even though we have to travel nearly an hour. Worth it.

BIA Kitchen was a nice surprise. Tucked away quietly in downtown Purcellville, this restaurant delivers great food and great service. We will certainly be back!

I found the interior very well designed. The woodwork was beautiful, artwork pleasing and furniture tasteful and comfortable. It isn’t a large sprawling space, but instead cozy. They’ve appropriately utilized as much of the dining space as they can making tables close, but not too close. I thankfully made a reservation in advance as they were very busy at 7:45PM on a Saturday. There was a nice gentleman outside who greeted me and opened the door. The hostess was towards the back of the restaurant, saw me, came to greet and seat me. I was given a drink and dinner menu and some water. Abby was my server, she was pleasant, made recommendations, refilled my wine glass and checked on me appropriately. She seemed to be busy, but attentive to everyone else as well. I wanted to try an appetizer, entree and dessert since it was my first visit. The burrata and prosciutto were high quality, tasty and plated appealingly with leafy greens and roasted tomatoes. The short rib ravioli had great depth of flavor and rich, but not too rich. The ravioli were large and filling. I couldn’t eat it all and yet was tempted to and to order some bread to soak the extra sauce, but refrained so that I could try the crème brûlée. The crème brûlée was a nice hint of lemon with good texture and the caramelized sugar crunchy without being burnt. I was quite happy with my visit and hope to return every time I’m in town visiting.

Loved this place. After a long day, what a refuge. Great drinks! Great food, and charming atmosphere. Saturday night, so, full house in this tiny little town in Loudon County. Short rib ravioli and the duck special, whipped polenta? Finished with churros and cappuccino. Next wine trip we'll be back!

Lamb dish was okay, the side of Sautéed spinach & mushroom that I paid extra for had Zero Seasoning. It was cooked like it was steamed for a min in the microwave & Not Sautéed. I took it home to sauté it myself with eggs in the morning. DefinitelyNot worth $8…. My wife’s prawn dish had no flavor as well..

Fantastic food - where they stand out is the ability to combine different flavors in the same dish that go together so well. I had a salad with shrimp and the sauces were totally different but went together perfectly. Great atmosphere with music that isn’t blaring like so many places do these days.
