Barbecue restaurant
Restaurant
Monk's BBQ is a laid-back spot known for its smoked meats, craft beers, and bourbon. Located in Purcellville, Northern Virginia, this joint offers some of the best brisket and pastrami in the area. The menu features mouthwatering options like burnt ends, pulled pork, and flavorful sides such as smoked Gouda mac & cheese and vinegar-based slaw. Whether you're craving barbecue classics or upscale dishes, Monk's BBQ has something for every mood.
15JULY2025 Excellent, friendly, and honest service. Me and my partners first time here and we will be back. The customers and staff are wonderful. Me and my partner got the 1/2 lb of pulled pork and it was tender and moist. The house sauce is delicious.

Great food! Awesome music and super friendly staff. The hot links the turkey, the ribs, the jalapeno poppers all excellent. Stop in. They have a full bar and you won't get any better. Smoked meats, baked beans, coleslaw and just a great atmosphere to show up. Hang out. Hang out all day. Get your Billy full, get you a cold drink and listen to some hometown jams. We really enjoyed our stop and we will be back as soon as possible

These barbecue ribs were definitely the best I’ve ever had. They were incredibly fresh and had almost no bones, cooked perfectly. I was amazed by the quality and the generous portion size. The ambiance was also great, and I loved the smell of wood on the food. The smashed potatoes were outstanding as well. I highly recommend this place.
Kasra S — Google review
This place is most likely the best bbq in Virginia. If you're heading here from the DMV, don't expect Purcellville prices to be lower than home. Brisket is insanely juicy. Ribs pretty good too. Desserts hit.

I’ve been coming to Monk's BBQ for years and finally decided to leave a review — this place truly deserves the recognition. Without a doubt, it’s one of the best BBQ joints in Northern Virginia. The quality is consistently top-tier, and it’s no surprise they’ve been featured on multiple news outlets. The menu offers a great variety, but I always recommend The Piglet — it’s perfect for 2 to 4 people and gives you a generous sampling of their BBQ staples like brisket, burnt ends, sausage, and more. Every item is meticulously prepared and packed with flavor, making for a fantastic BBQ experience every time. If you’re in the area and love real BBQ, Monk's is an absolute must-visit.

AMAZING! Everything.was.Amazing Friendly staff, fast service, DELICIOUS food, generous portions. Both the pastrami and pulled chicken were melt in your mouth tender. Beautiful smoke flavor Great homemade sauces And the cornbread is on a seperate planet of goodness!!!!! It would be dangerous if this spot was closer to home! I'm already drooling/dreaming of our next visit Other notes: Order at the counter and then they bring your order to you. Plenty of seating - indoor and outdoor ( covered patio area) Huge selection of craft beers, whiskey and bourbon Clean gender neutral restrooms What we tried *Pastrami: Whole beef brisket cured and seasoned with their pastrami rub and smoked all night *Pulled Chicken: Our chicken is smoked whole over a blend of hickory and cherry. *Cornbread custard *Monks beans (with smoked rib tips) *Vingear slaw My rating rationale +1 Service +1 Food~Taste/flavor/quality +1 Presentation +1 Atmosphere/vibe +1 Value

Tried the mini BBQ platter. Got a little bit of everything! More than enough food for the ,5 of us. I like the sausage, the rest of the party gave it mixed reviews, ribs solid fall of the bone. Pulled pork was good as was the chicken.smoked pastrami was good if a bit dru. There were more meats on the platter... Not sure which was which.... Two seemed to be burnt ends... The large chunks ... Were over cooked and tough... The small slices seasoned all over were juicy fatty slices of heaven! One more pulled something... Good smoked flavor but dry and chewy. Good cornbread but it is more of a dessert. Loved the udder style of getting extra sauce! Great selection of beers and bourbon! Live entertainment on the weekends! Service isn't much..Order than hope you find a seat. Seating is grab it if you can . just a flag and a drop off.

Our party of 7 came here for lunch on a Sunday. We like the cozy, friendly atmosphere. The manager or owner came by to welcome and said Hi twice. At this restaurant, you pick a table, go to order the food, get the drinks yourself, then a server will bring to food to the table. Everything worked very well. We ordered various dishes, all were OK, no wow factor. 2 of us came here specifically to have the pastrami but it was dry, not much flavor, quite a disappointment! You will see a black board with list of dishes but watch out, all sides, including corn bread have their own prices, so the bill will be higher than we expected. We might be back to try some other dishes

We had a very unpleasant time here. It seems like the other people may not have had a pleasant time either as there is another review that was submitted the same day we went. The staff (already short staffed) seemed to be getting ready for an event. We had to sit outside because the entire area inside was going to be used and they wanted to set up. A few people were eating inside but no one was allowed to. The area outside was no prepped for people to sit. They barely had a few booths that had been wiped down. We were looking at the menu and ordered at least water and perhaps an appetizer from a young lady. Not even 5 min later a man came over (maybe chef) and asked if we were ready to order but he was in a haste and walked off when we said we needed more time. She came back and we ordered food. The appetizer was basically thrown on the table by person who brought us the food. He was half walking away while dropping off the appetizer. The rest food was delivered and we asked for a side of marinara. It was never brought over. We would have left sooner but it started pouring. The lady brought us the check when we asked for boxes. We noticed that they charged us for the marinara sauce. We couldn’t get the lady so we spoke to a manager. He seemed a bit bothered by the fact that we pointed it out but he said he would make it right. We asked if there was Apple Pay and he said yes but that we had to go to the front. We went to the front and a very rude lady said that it couldn’t be used because they get charged for using Apple Pay. She wanted cash. At the end she took Apple Pay. We asked for a bag for our boxes and she said they were .50 cents each so we said fine. Overall very unpleasant and the food was ok-ish. The pasta was overly salty. The mozzarella sticks ok and the calzone was ok just too much ricotta cheese. I would avoid this place if you plan to pay with anything other than cash and if you see they are setting up for something because they cannot multi-task. There was only one other person in the back and even then it was too much for them which made atmosphere and attitudes very unpleasant.

Got the Fish and chips lunch special for $12 and the Chefs special Lamb Shank for $22. Both were incredible with the Lamb Shank taking top spot. Got my order to go, it held up well in transport but I regret not finding the time to have a seated meal as the ambience was nice and the wines and mixed drinks looked enticing.

We had a delicious meal here, salmon with linguine and vegetarian stromboli. Plus chocolate cake. Went back again two months later and the meal was just as delicious! Kid-friendly, too.

Stopped here for lunch. I ordered a caprese salad and a side of garlic bread, hubby ordered an individual pizza. Portions are large! So you might want to ask about how much/how large items are before ordering. My side of garlic bread could easily have fed four (I took it home, because it was very good.) Same with the pizza which was cooked to order and very tasty. Service is laid back and friendly. The decor harkens back to an earlier time and while not awful, it does feel like this place could benefit from a refresh. Seems like this is a popular spot for locals who were lingering over a lunch when we got there around 1:00. We won't be regulars, but if our travels take us this way again, we'd be glad to stop in for a shared pizza and salad lunch.

Restaurant
Market Burger Fries & Shakes is a compact counter-order restaurant located in Purcellville, offering delicious local beef hamburgers and classic milkshakes. The restaurant is known for its juicy, grass-fed beef patties with a variety of toppings, as well as rich malts and shakes. It's situated near other popular dining spots like Magnolias, Monks BBQ, Anthonys, West End Wine Bar and Pub, and Tuskies.
We read somewhere that this place is one of Loudoun County’s best burger places and decided to give it a try, even though it’s about 35 minutes driving from our house. Definitely worth it! The place is charming, staff is super nice and friendly, and the best part is the food! Nicely put on the serving plate. House burger is what we ordered, egg and bacon just makes it special. We’ll for sure be back for more!
Jan H — Google review
This seems to be a quaint little place. They have burgers and fries and nothing else, but that's not bad. There is a good selection of toppings for your burger. When the burgers arrived, it was quite noticable that the fries are enormous. Good thing we only order 1. They are homemade shoestring fries which were crispy almost to the point of overdone but not quite. The burgers looked attractive initially. It was then obvious that the burgers were significantly smaller than the bun which was disappointing. The patty was thin but that's okay. I was taken aback by the bill. The burgers are decent but not meaty enough for the a la cart price. I am willing to return if others wish to go and check it out.
Papa J — Google review
Flavorful, juicy burgers made to order. Generous serving of really good shoe string fries which we polished off. Try the herb mayo! Charming vintage decor of Purcellville through the years in this no more than 20 person seating area which is always full. Friendly efficient staff, bus your own tray, but if they have time will bring food to your table.
Susan D — Google review
The place didn’t live up to my expectations. The photos and reviews were so enticing that I rushed to try it out, but the food was disappointing. The fries were good, but the burger was just average. Additionally, I find it strange when fast-food restaurants like this ask for tips after you order from the cashier.
Kasra S — Google review
Stopped by for lunch about 2 weeks ago and haven’t stopped thinking about the delicious BLT I had .. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT !! Every thing about my sandwich and nicely fried shoe string fries was very good. I wish they had a few more beverages to choose from and a tad bit more elbow grease on cleaning ✨✨ I had already enjoyed 1/2 my sandwich before snagging a picture because it had my mouth watering and it delivered 💯

Greasy, juicy, freshly sourced burger! Excellent service! 10/10
Chad H — Google review
This place is awesome. I have no way of accurately describing this place other than they provide a burger-centric experience. The whole vibe is just simple, awesome burgers. People compare to melt in Leesburg. It's difficult to compare because these are closer to smash burgers. 6/10 times, id come here over melt. What i love: Patty Pickles Maple mustard Sweet potato fries Tavern style fries Herb mayo Generous portions Generous toppings Speed of service The brioche bun is great (I prefer melts sourdough buns tho) They earned a regular customer
Grant E — Google review
Very good sweet potato fries and burgers. Lots of topping options and love that it’s all locally sourced. I would say taste and quality rivals Melt Burger in Leesburg with fries and quality maybe a little shower however patties are a bit thinner here and less topping and alternative options. Seating is crowed and it take some time to get your food but this seems typical of most burger joints in the area. I would say if you like Melt you’ll like this place. I would rate them both as some of the best burgers in the area with a few key differences.

My wife and I popped in one afternoon for a quick little dinner. On a Friday night, we were seated quickly and our waiter was fantastic! She was super friendly and gave a quick overview of the daily items. We had the burger on a previous visit and it was so juicy and delicious! This spot doesn't disappoint with its delicious farm fresh offerings.

We dined here on a whim on vacation and it is now one of our all time favorites! The menu was so impressive and everything was so good from start to finish . My Margarita with watermelon infused tequila and basil was refreshing and perfect for summer. The BLT salad was the best I’ve ever had . The porterhouse pork chop with peach chutney was the highlight and a perfect combination. Service was also great . We enjoyed patio seating but the inside was gorgeous. We will be making the trip back just for Magnolia at the Mill!

We wanted that farm to table experience and this place fits that vibe. Food came out fresh and flavorful. Service was helpful and friendly too. Deviled eggs- tasty Ancient grains salad with steak- lean and filling. Would have been better if they let me add the dressing because it came out soggy Cheese burger- was good but messy The focaccia bread they serve is sooo good! So easy to fill up on it! They had a nice menu. There are more things I would love to try on the menu.

My husband and I decided to have dinner here for the first time this past Monday, and it was absolutely fabulous! We have had a rough few weeks and decided to go on an impromptu date night and decided to check this spot off our list of new places we had been wanting to try. Our server Kiara was kind, attentive, & was very knowledgeable in the menu options, which was very helpful when we were stuck deciding exactly what to choose. We started off with the fried green tomatoes which were so good I forgot to even take a picture. By the time I realized this we had already eaten half of the appetizer. For drinks my husband had the pomegranate sparkler and I had "The Ideal Husband" with the jalapeño vodka. Then, for our second round we had "The Greer" & I had a titos lemon drop martini with a sugar rim. When I tell you the lemon drop was out of this world, im talking like a boozy ball park lemonade. I couldn't even taste the vodka, but it was definitely there! Special shout out to the bar tender Sabrina because all of our drinks were fabulous! For entrée we both had the filet special with lump crab meat, asparagus, & potatoe gratin. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the crab meat was fresh and huge in volume and the sauce was to die for! It was probably one of the best steaks I have had recently. So soft and just melted in your mouth! For dessert we had the creme brulle and the brick over baked cookie a la mode. The creme brulle was made with fresh vanilla as I could see the fresh vanilla beans in the bottom of the dish and the brulle top was done to perfection accompanied with a lemon shortbread cookie, fresh berries & cream. The cookie was also incredibly well balanced and you cant go wrong with a warm chocolate chunk cookie and ice cream! We cant wait to come back!!

We had an awesome gluten free lunch with Fish & Chips and a side of GF bread. What a treat! It was delicious. I didn't want chips and got brussel sprouts instead. They were fabulously crunchy. The service was impeccable and the surroundings soothing and fun at the same time. Definitely recommend!

⸻ We made a reservation for 11 people, and they accommodated our party with no issues. The restaurant offers both outdoor and plenty of indoor seating. I ordered the Almond Crusted Trout — it was a great dish, though a bit heavy on the almonds. I was a little disappointed that the Beef Tenderloin Tip Pasta couldn’t be cooked medium rare. I also wish the menu had more healthy options, as most dishes come with creamy sauces or risotto. It would be nice to see some lighter sides, like potatoes or asparagus, instead of risotto with every entrée, especially for the price point. On a positive note, the kids’ meal portions were generous and very tasty

First time at this restaurant. Gave 4 star out of 5, because a Tea was served w/o a spoon, no honey or lemon even though I requested it. The empty Tea cup was not clean and the spoon when arrived was not clean either. Don’t go too hungry, because I waited more than one hour for the food and other customers that arrived after me, their food was served first. But I must say, my food was very delicious.

Brewery
Adroit Theory Brewing Company is a small, nano-brewery located in Purcellville, Loudoun County, Virginia. The airy and industrial taproom offers a unique selection of barrel-aged craft beers on tap and also provides growlers to go. Known for their innovative interpretations of classic styles, the brewery's offerings include mango IPAs, mint and green tea saison, caramel macchiato milk stout, stouts & DIPAs.
Best local brewery! Been coming for over a decade, amazing how much the place is grown. I remember when you could try them all at once! Absolutely incredible art work and naming! Newest one “death metal” is awesome.
Christopher C — Google review
This isn't the cookie cutter brewery. The tap list shows imagination, a bit of experimentation, and some brews push the limits of what can still be described as beer. For example, the Imperial Stout was thick and a muddy beige color, like a milkshake and had the most amazing creamy nutty flavor that was unlike any beer or anything I've ever had before. About the place: the taproom was small with limited seating, the taplist had a very good variety, we sat on the outdoor patio, as the weather was nice the day we visited. I walked in excited to try everything Adroit Theory had available and I left the place very impressed. I can go to a different brewery every day and I won't come across anything quite like Adroit Theory. Well done, guys. My hats off to the good folks behind this concept!
Joe G — Google review
Loved their smoothie sours and dessert beers, they are extremely tasty and definitely out of the normal. I also enjoy the music played at the establishment. In comparison to other breweries it’s on the smaller end and not many other things to do/drink/eat a side from their tap, but the quality of the beers definitely make up for that.
Sara A — Google review
Felt like a hidden gem, hole in the wall kind of vibe. Lots of interesting beers on the menu, many with high ABV. The triple IPA on tap was dank, stone fruity, hazy, and delish. But, also triple, so getting a smaller pour is probably the move. Their stouts ranged from 12 to 16.4% alcohol. Tried 5 oz. of one of the 12 percenters, and it's darn good. Bought a can of 16.4% to take home. Stickers are free and plentiful, but are also only beer labels.
Peter D — Google review
Seen several reviews here, most very good and some with mixed reviews, so I figured I’d leave my honest input. Adroit Theory is an overall pretty good brewery. Be aware that there is not much parking around the area when it is busy. The venue was pretty nice, however small on the inside. When the weather is nice though, they have a decent patio for seating. The beer was very good. It was a little more expensive than other breweries, however, they were very good and the more expensive ones were specialized styles. It was a bit disappointing that only 4 of their 16 beers were on draft. Partly I’m sure this comes from smoothie sours/coffee creams clogging lines, but it would’ve been nice for their IPAs to be on draft. As a heads up, you can get singles/crowlers to go! Service was decent. They had one person working the counter. For most days it’s probably fine, but going on a weekend with 30+ people the person was overwhelmed and service was slow and at times crowded. All in all this is a pretty decent brewery with very good beer I would recommend going to.
David S — Google review
The beers of this brewery are unique and very flavorful. Even the artwork of the labels are amazing!
Jesse R — Google review
BEST BREWERY AROUND, IMO!! I've enjoyed their beers for years! Hundreds of breweries tried later and still possibly my favorite!! Not sure how you make a quad drink like a 6%er but they do. Not sure how you make all these insane stouts, slushies, IPA'S, and sours so amazing but here you are, killing it!!! The flavors they're able to put into these beers is unrivaled! Never, ever have i seen these flavor profiles in beer form. You think it, id almost assure you they can brew it. Had the best apple cider donut stout there this week in regular and slushy form and both were awesome! My pick, the slushy! The brewery atmosphere is awesome if you're chill but love music, mostly metal. But, and a big but, make friends with Chris and Mikaela, they're the best!!!!! The brewer and assistant brewer are cool as hell too! I cant imagine finding a funnier group of genuinely amazing folks! Fantastic, funny, and full of life! The customers rock as well! Looking forward to our next trip up from TN-VA!! Hopefully sooner rather than later!!! Make sure you try all the beers available in slushy form in both non slushy and slushy form, very different. I got to see some cool puppies too! And if you wanna buy a SXS or 4 wheeler they sell them across the road!
Nathan L — Google review
Love this brewery! The beers are always interesting, delicious and they have a ton of options. You cannot beat the atmosphere inside with great tunes, cozy couches, and plenty of bar height tables and stools. Pack a picnic and enjoy the outdoor seating while sampling your favorites or trying something new, like one of the summer slushies. (omg! so good) This is a great spot for a meet up, hang out, or a party bus stop. It's important to note, their excellent beer is only topped by the quality of people who work here. They share so much information about the beers and you can tell they really care about their customers experience, the beverages they produce, and creating a welcoming space for all beer lovers. It's a good thing they arent open super late or we would spend a lot more evenings here. The To Go Menu makes it really easy to bring their tasty brews home too! We have made visiting Adroit a part of our regular routine and suggest you do the same!

Breaux Vineyards is a popular hillside winery located in far northwest Loudoun County, set on a 400-acre estate near the Potomac River. The French Chateaux-style winery offers tours, tastings, and outdoor markets, along with patio dining and live music. The elegant interiors are inspired by Louisiana and the venue offers multiple options for ceremonies, including the romantic Lafayette Terrace nestled among the vines and the opulent Acadia with panoramic windows.
Wholeheartedly recommend. Pros: - Nice dry wines with full flavor - which can be hard in VA to produce. Also has sweet options, including sangria. - Pet friendly both outdoors and inside; they even have an area that you can be inside with your pet! This is quite unique for VA wineries/breweries. - Personal food only outside, but once you finish eating your food outside you can move about wherever you like. You can sit wherever if you buy their food. - They had a variety of seating arrangements outside. They even had a large tent area for groups - Friendly staff, who were patient and helpful when picking a wine to suit your tastes. - Live music - visited on a Sunday afternoon, and live music until 5pm! - Beautiful scenery, and a large amount of their own grapes. - Inclusive food menu with beyond burger as an option for Vegan/Vegetarians. Opportunities: - Water; as mentioned in other reviews, bring your own water or pay $2.50/bottle (Aug 2025). They did also have other non-alcoholic drinks. They stated they have "agricultural" water that is not safe to drink. What do they use when washing dishes for cooking in the kitchen? Not sure why they couldn't just install a reverse osmosis sink filtration system or another suitable water filter/water fountain. We can bring our own water but it is a bit mind boggling.

Nice vineyard, plenty of tables and selection of wines. The place was nice, but minus one star for the wines. The best one we had was Chere Marie. Had two different flights and we enjoy the Chere Marie white wine which is similar to Reislings. It has live singer too, overall a fun day with awesome weather.

Overall, the location is gorgeous with a beautiful view. However, the overall experience is pretty subpar. There really is no customer service except behind the main bar. The inside is very nice with live music. If you sit on the outside patio, there is no music. No waitress/waiter checking up on your party, taking orders, picking up trash, cleaning the area, etc. You have a buzzer that lets you know when your food is ready, and you go inside to pick it up. The food is nothing special. Very basic items on the menu that are served in plastic take away boxes. Once you're done with your meals, you have to clean up your own table. Bathrooms are a disaster. Smells like death, dirty tissues everywhere, and dirty stalls. The positives: overall view is beautiful, prices are very affordable, and the customers all seemed very happy. Staff seems friendly. Overall experience: if you want a casual place to sip on wine and eat basic foods for an affordable price with a decent view, check this place out. The overall cleanliness and lack of customer service needs works in my opinion. Check out the pictures for reference.

I had a pretty mixed experience at Breaux. We visited as a group of 12 and were told we couldn’t sit outside on their balcony because of the risk of our “noise” bouncing off the covered roof, which felt a bit off. They also wouldn’t let us split into two smaller groups to make it work, so we had to sit inside. The vibe inside was… interesting. Lots of fake flowers and parrots for their Key West event, which felt out of place at a vineyard in Virginia. I’m not sure why you’d want to pretend you’re at a Florida retirement home when you’re surrounded by beautiful Virginia countryside. A few other odd choices: they don’t offer free drinking water, even though they’re serving alcohol. You have to buy plastic bottled water, which seems irresponsible, especially since everyone has to drive to get there. This alone docked a star—why not offer free tap water? Food came in plastic clamshell containers with plastic cutlery, which felt wasteful. The po boy was just a shrimp sandwich—no battered or fried shrimp and no shredded lettuce as you’d expect from an actual po boy. The charcuterie was pre-made and pulled from a fridge covered in plastic wrap, not fresh or made to order. That said, the staff were friendly, and the wine was decent and relatively reasonably priced (about $30 a bottle, $20 for a tasting). The outdoor grounds were nice too—it’s just a shame we couldn’t enjoy them properly. Overall, it felt like some strange decisions from management took away from what could be a nice experience.

A warm and peaceful afternoon at the winery. Fall was absolutely beautiful, and I can’t wait to see how the other seasons will feel here.

This has to be one of the best vineyards I visited. It has a very beautiful view. They have a very good collection of wine 🍷 We visited during a key west festival and we witnessed a pretty good crowd. Everyone has dressed up very pretty and we had a very beautiful day. Not to forget the bands that played. They were amazing . Overall a best experience. We are definitely going to stop one more before the winters hits.

This is one of our favorite wineries! They are semi-dog friendly inside with only the room on the right by the patio, which was a little warm due to the hot and humid July temps, but better than outside in all of that heat. The wines are delicious, the service is excellent, and the scenery is spectacular!
Kristin M — Google review
The wine is excellent, the staff are super knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating, the facilities are pristine, the events are well organized, the food is delicious, and the overall environment is classy and very down-to-earth all at the same time. Parking is easy and organized. Staff are typically waiting to greet customers, provide information, direction, and willing to help. I've been here multiple times. Each time is the same--perfect.

What a great spot! Fun for the whole family with axe throwing, darts, pool tables and board games. Perfect outing on a rainy day. Nice people, good vibes, we will definitely be back!

I'm fairly new to axe throwing, having only visited two other axe throwing venues in the DMV...but THIS one was the BEST! The sheer number and variety of axe throwing games available is awesome! Both Kristen and Lori, our hosts on the day we visited, were equally awesome and welcoming and helpful. There is an impressive selection of draft beer on hand, and while we didn't have any, the food did DID look great! I cannot more HIGHLY recommend a better place to try axe throwing in. Northern Virginia...make it a priority to visit Elysium!!! 🙂

The marching band mom’s and our son’s got together to experience something a little different… WE all had a phenomenal time. It was a cool & chill atmosphere. Those chipotle chicken wings were absolutely amazing! Best of all, although we were amateurs we had a blast throwing axes!

Was my first time ever axe throwing with friends and it was a great experience! My friends who had never been to this location before were even saying it was way more fun here than other places they've been! Great music, great drinks, and friendly staff all made it a great time! Also would highly recommend the shot roulette!

We got there at 2 pm on Saturday, when it opened. Just grabbed some sodas. Staff/Axe Coach is extremely nice and helpful. I was very impressed with how upscale it is. We loved the different game options... Killing zombies was the best. We'll be back.

When looking for a new place to try, I always look at reviews for places and products. So here is my review for Elysium Axe Bar in Purcellville, Va. My husband and I had been wanting to try this place out for a while now, so we decided tonight’s the night! The on line reservation process was easy, we reserved a time and a lane without any problems. Upon arrival the staff was polite and very helpful. They went over waivers and axe throwing safety with us, prior to our start time. We enjoyed a few appetizers and drinks while having a great time throwing axes at different targets and games. Elysium was clean and had a great atmosphere. Fun place for adults , teens and families to enjoy. We are looking forward to going back soon.

Visited Elysium Axe Bar for the first time and was pleasantly thrilled at the whole experience! The server/Axe Throwing Trainer Steven was super friendly and helpful (and didn’t once laugh at our lack of skill ;) We enjoyed apps and cocktails while trying out the various axe throwing games. The online reservation process super user friendly and as we arrived we’re shown directly to our stall. The live music added to the light hearted atmosphere and was talented! Your reservation is for 90 mins and seemed long but actually flew by ! We’ll definitely be back!!

Modern European restaurant
BIA Kitchen is a charming restaurant that offers an elegant and inviting atmosphere. The menu features delectable dishes such as calamari, salmon salad, steak tips, duck confit, and churros with chocolate dipping sauce. The food is beautifully prepared and presented, ensuring a delightful dining experience. The service provided by the staff is friendly and attentive. BIA Kitchen is a hidden gem in northern Virginia that promises a memorable meal for special occasions or any time you're craving exceptional cuisine.
Great food, generous portions, great service and cozy atmosphere. Went here for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. The cocktails were really good and unique. We both got Anna's revenge, which is spicy and just perfect. I had the beef short rib ravioli and my husband got the crab cakes. Portions were larger than expected and food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Can't wait to return. My only critique is the top floor was pretty loud, which was too jarring for me. They could use some sound damper omg panels or something to fix it if they wanted. But I will be back! It was good!

We made reservations at Bia Kitchen for my husband's birthday after reading their reviews on Open Table and Google. Unfortunately, my review does not include many positives. We started with the bruschetta as our appetizer. This consisted of three crostinis with a pile of tomato something. It did not have much flavor at all, which is quite surprising for a bruschetta, but we were hopeful going into our meals. Everyone raved about the short rib ravioli in the reviews and that was what my husband ended up getting. He was very disappointed with the three flavorless raviolis on his plate. Honestly, he had nothing good to say about this entree. I ordered the sea bass entree. The sea bass was cooked well but the succotash that accompanied it was not good. It was supposed to be paprika but all I kept getting was strong bites of cumin every now and again. The mango was a good addition since it had lots of flavor itself but the red beans were not soft, some even crunchy. I also ordered a side of spinach and wild mushrooms, which was a small dish of sauteed spinach and shiitake mushrooms - not the wild mushroom mix I was thinking we'd receive. For drinks, my husband ordered an Old Fashion. The Old Fashion was weak in flavor and also did not include any orange. Maybe using a large format cube would help with keeping it from tasting watered down. I ordered two mules. The first mule was pretty good with a nice mix of ginger beer, vodka, and lime. The second, not so much. My first sip, even after stirring, was straight lime juice concentrate. So, 2 out of the three $14 cocktails were weak and almost flavorless. Needless to say, we opted out of dessert. The service was the only good thing about our experience and seeing the beautiful millwork. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Gerry was also very kind as we arrived and were departing. I don't know if we just came on a bad day or if there was a change in the kitchen, but this was not what I was expecting. We spent a good amount of money here to only come out feeling unsatisfied and, honestly, still hungry. I felt terrible that my husband didn't get a good birthday dinner out.

Gorgeous old building, very comfortable setting, very welcoming staff Definitely recommend the fish and chips, seared tuna salad, and the ribeye. Desserts were fresh and incredible. We made the mistake of scheduling our reservation for tomorrow, and even though we arrived at 8:15 on a 9 pm closing night they were super friendly and accommodating. Food was beyond expectations, the wines were incredible. Just go! We are going to become regulars, even though we have to travel nearly an hour. Worth it.

BIA Kitchen was a nice surprise. Tucked away quietly in downtown Purcellville, this restaurant delivers great food and great service. We will certainly be back!
Richie P — Google review
I found the interior very well designed. The woodwork was beautiful, artwork pleasing and furniture tasteful and comfortable. It isn’t a large sprawling space, but instead cozy. They’ve appropriately utilized as much of the dining space as they can making tables close, but not too close. I thankfully made a reservation in advance as they were very busy at 7:45PM on a Saturday. There was a nice gentleman outside who greeted me and opened the door. The hostess was towards the back of the restaurant, saw me, came to greet and seat me. I was given a drink and dinner menu and some water. Abby was my server, she was pleasant, made recommendations, refilled my wine glass and checked on me appropriately. She seemed to be busy, but attentive to everyone else as well. I wanted to try an appetizer, entree and dessert since it was my first visit. The burrata and prosciutto were high quality, tasty and plated appealingly with leafy greens and roasted tomatoes. The short rib ravioli had great depth of flavor and rich, but not too rich. The ravioli were large and filling. I couldn’t eat it all and yet was tempted to and to order some bread to soak the extra sauce, but refrained so that I could try the crème brûlée. The crème brûlée was a nice hint of lemon with good texture and the caramelized sugar crunchy without being burnt. I was quite happy with my visit and hope to return every time I’m in town visiting.

Loved this place. After a long day, what a refuge. Great drinks! Great food, and charming atmosphere. Saturday night, so, full house in this tiny little town in Loudon County. Short rib ravioli and the duck special, whipped polenta? Finished with churros and cappuccino. Next wine trip we'll be back!

Lamb dish was okay, the side of Sautéed spinach & mushroom that I paid extra for had Zero Seasoning. It was cooked like it was steamed for a min in the microwave & Not Sautéed. I took it home to sauté it myself with eggs in the morning. DefinitelyNot worth $8…. My wife’s prawn dish had no flavor as well..

Fantastic food - where they stand out is the ability to combine different flavors in the same dish that go together so well. I had a salad with shrimp and the sauces were totally different but went together perfectly. Great atmosphere with music that isn’t blaring like so many places do these days.

Delicious food and great atmosphere. Food very fresh and great portions. I had a nice variety plate with eggs, pancakes choice of meat. Breakfast burrito was good as wel. Depending on what you get food prices are higher but within the normal range of restaurants in the area. I would recommend this restaurant. Next time I want to have lunch there. I know it will be delicious.

I have heard how delicious the Pub food is so I decided to stop by for some takeout. Upon my arrival, I was greeted immediately & placed my order. The food did not disappoint! I ordered a reuben sandwich with fries which arrived within 15 minutes. It was delicious! While I was waiting for my food, I noticed a good sized area for outdoor dining as well as indoor seating. A group of 4 came in behind me & was seated immediately - I overheard their immediate comment that the music was too loud. I could see that having a quiet conversation might be difficult especially as the place gets busier. If you're looking for delicious food & friendly service, I would definitely recommend!

Wow. I have no words. My experience dining at the Local pub was like no other. All of the service and food was amazing. And to think I just came in for a chill evening with the boys to watch some Monday night football and it turned into the best night of my night all thanks to Justin Mcclelland, our food runner. His energy and clear drive/passion for his job really heightened my experience dining at this fine establishment. Nestled in Purcellville, Petite Loulou Crêperie + Cafe offers a taste of Paris with its delightful selection of French pastries and expertly crafted coffee. The menu features an array of sweet and savory crepes, along with hand-rolled croissants and pastries. The café's inviting ambiance allows patrons to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of an urban Parisian cafe.
The food was absolutely delicious. Crepe was perfect. Croque Monsieur had the right amount of cheese and was gooey but the bread held together. The raspberry champagne cocktail was delicious. Rose latte flavor was a wonderful balance. The outside seating wraps around the side with table, chairs, and umbrellas.

Exquisite plating, friendly staff, accommodations were excellent. Baby friendly bathroom and multiple highchairs. The food was delicious and filling. Iced oat chai was a fantastic choice. I got a savory crepe and could not finish it all on my own. I plan to make this a regular spot for baby and mom dates.

Kudos for offering actual thin crêpes filled with very respectable amount of delicious filling. By far, Petite Loulou takes the #1 spot on my best crêpes list knocking off Dulce Crepe's thick and doughy crêpes. Paired with Loulou's house coffee, this brunch combo is hard to beat. With a nostalgic dark colored decor based seating area, it is no wonder the dining space feels like a local community gathering area. While the crêpes standout, It's a bit surprising the baked pastry items just sit on the counter continuously absorbing in the muggy air when it comes. Most if not all baked pastries looked very stale and wilted when early brunch hours roll around. So get the crêpes, but you can skip the baked goods.

What a great secret gem in the heart of Purcellville. We were pretty surprised with the food quality and the timeliness, the flavor was on par with much more expensive restaurants. Presentation was good and pricing is right. We'll be back for sure.

My wife and I stopped by this nice little creperie for some breakfast. The coffee was absolutely great, I ordered a cappuccino and she got a mocha. The staff was very fun and friendly. The decor and the vibe inside was perfect! I did not expect the floor to ceiling decor to be so in-theme from the outside of the bar. The furniture is comfy and there is of seating both indoor and outdoor. I do wish our drinks were served in mugs instead of to-go cups, but I did get my cappuccino in a glass. Unfortunately the crepe my wife got seemed a bit undercooked and a little too sweet for a savory crepe. She ordered the chicken cordon bleu, despite the unappealing crepe she said the proteins were delicious! I got the prosciutto and brie sandwich and it was excellent! The bread they used was very nicely made with the perfect balance of crunch and softness. The side salad was a bit too sour in opinion. Lastly, I got a butter croissant which was perfect! I have been told great things about these crepes so I wouldn't mind returning for the coffee and maybe a sweet crepe next time!
Pedro S — Google review
Unfortunately we weren't impressed. The prosciutto crepe was unbearably sweet. I got the salmon and lemon creme... zero evidence of any lemon flavor to counter balance the super strong smoked salmon, this one was unpleasant. Tiny cappuccino for several dollars. The iced latte was wonderful. The service was grumpy. For a $55 lunch, I'd go elsewhere next time.

We have been coming to Petite LouLou Crêperie and Café for a long time now and this place never disappoints! The place is very nicely decorated and the staff is always friendly. We really enjoy the great tasting foods and the good variety of foods. Absolutely phenomenal Mexican food! We ordered the queso, seafood enchilada, & grilled Mahi Mahi fish tacos with mango pico. The food is wonderful! Even the coke and Mr Pibb we ordered had the perfect balance of syrup to carbonation ratio. I feel like it would be more like 3.5 stars but since that it’s not an option, I rounded up. Overall this is a pretty good Mexican Restaurant in Purcellville. We have been here a few times and always have a decent experience. The service is hey ally pretty good and the food always comes out fast. The chips and salsa are good. Which is a plus because some restaurants have salsa that is hit or miss. And the quest with chorizo is awesome! I enjoy a cup of it all to myself because some other family members aren’t big fans of cheese… fine by me! At the most recent visit I got the chicken and rice… a version of which is a favorite of mine at any Mexican restaurant. Honestly, this one was not my favorite. The cheese they put on it was almost more of a sauce and the dish ended up feeling like a pasta dish. The chicken was also over cooked and tough. My husband got the Tacos Al Carbon and he really enjoyed them. And their rice is really good! They also have a pretty good kids menu selection which we like. But honestly, their beef tacos are just okay. Whatever they cook the beef in made the crunchy taco soggy after awhile. It’s a good place to go if you don’t want to drive too far and have a craving for Mexican Food. But don’t go expecting it to knock your socks off.

I ordered for takeout at 7:50pm, and when I tried the food, the tamales didn't taste fresh (almost like they had been frozen and then reheated in a microwave before being given to me) and had a weird color and texture on the bottom of them. We also got a second dinner combo, but 10 mins after receiving the food, the ground beef (which tasted wet, not greasy) and had soaked through the chalupa leaving it in a soggy falling apart mess. The side rice was also soggy and the chips tasted stale. I was very confused and spoke to the manager. He told me that they make the ground beef in the morning and let it sit on a steam tray "like chipotle" but Chipotle makes multiple batches throughout the day instead of serving meat that has been sitting there for at least 9 hours. The story with the tamales was the same that they make 4-5 in the morning and keep those in the steam tray, and I assume that is the case with the rice as well. The manager offered for me to bring the food back so they could look at it and see if anything was wrong, but what was wrong is I was served food that I was directly told had been made that morning and it was insisted that it was fresh. I don't usually make complaints but I feel like they are bordering on the food becoming unsafe leaving it on a steam tray that long, all the while saying everything was made fresh. I was disappointed because it definetly wasn't worth $33 plus tip and it doesn't seem like an honest buisness practice.

Bush Tabernacle Skating Rink in Purcellville is a historic six-sided structure that used to host religious gatherings. Today, it has been transformed into a roller skating rink with a beautiful wood floor. The venue is perfect for kids' activities and birthday parties, offering pizza, cake, cups, drinks, and more. It features tables for events and fun games like video game setups and air hockey. The staff are friendly and welcoming to both experienced skaters and beginners.
This place is really cool! I had no idea it was here. They have a neat floor for both roller skating and rollerblading. The floor is lined by tables to be used during events (there were two birthday parties going on when we went) as well as fun games like a video game setup and air hockey. They also have a snack bar. The staff are all very friendly and it is affordably priced. Makes for a fun afternoon.

We held my 13 year old daughters birthday party here yesterday and It was perfect! I only had to bring the cake and they took care of everything else, including pizza, cake slicer, cups, drinks, clean up, and more! Which was a God send. Standing out from other parks, Franklin Park features multiple sports courts such as tennis and inline hockey rinks, offering a unique experience.
One of the best parks in Loudoun. It’s now much easier to get to from points east with the various construction and engineering projects they’ve done along Route 7 and such. Located just a bit outside of Purcellville, the park offers trails, fishing, an excellent disc golf course that’s around 2 miles walking, several other sporting areas like the tennis/pickle ball courts, hockey rink, pool, baseball/softball fields, soccer/lacrosse fields, and horseshoes, several pavilions throughout, equestrian paths, and the Franklin Park Arts Center, which was home to the first East Coast Bob Ross art exhibit/display. One can spend a few hours or a day here with the various activities. One should note that the sun can be pretty brutal during the summer, and the wind really comes through there like the prairie, which might be alright in the summer, it’s like a Midwestern winter come change of seasons. I really wish Northern Virginia had more parks like this, and would really recommend visiting.

This is a great park, there is a dog park, public pool, tennis court, dek hockey rink, sand volley ball courts and trails. This is a great place to hang out or take the kids. It gets very busy on the weekends due to the pool being a main attraction

Best pool day ever. Very well laid out space. I was able to navigate with 4 kids. Definitely plan to pack lunch. Concessions doesn't have much. But I prefer it that way! Great Public pool!!
Matthew M — Google review
Lots of parking. Really poor signage (never did find the pedestrian hiking trail). Appreciated that someone had come to turn the porta-potties right-side up after the heavy winds. Plenty of benches and tables. Kids enjoyed spotting lots of turtles and birds. Nice to see the park being enjoyed by others (picnicking, fishing, playground, pick-up sports, etc.). Happy to have a dog-friendly place we can be outside and explore.

Lovely park. Couldn’t figure out the disc golf course but had a lovely time trying to nonetheless.
Richelle K — Google review
Good place to have outside activities such as picnics, hiking, I would consider even to take wedding pictures at the little Kiosk. Would come back here as many times as I could to have a relaxing afternoon with friends, nice drive too if you like short road-trips
Jaime C — Google review
This park is pathetic. Tweens driving the county vehicles to harrass people that aren't involved with the overpriced pool, poor upkeep of facilities, no attention to stop signs & people crossing roads. The grounds are unkempt, the porta-potties are nightmares, the dog park has been enlarged to become a bigger mess and the gates have been "fixed" with electrical tape. Avoid.

Great fun for children of all ages. Food and drink on site. The best food and drink in town. Josh at the concession stand is very helpful. The lifeguards are very responsible. Friendly families every where!

Wineries & Vineyards
Sunset Hills Vineyard, owned by Mike and Diane Canney, is a picturesque winery located in Loudoun County. The vineyard, which features stunning views of the Blue Ridge and Short Hill Mountain, is committed to sustainable farming practices and energy-efficient initiatives. The property boasts 245 solar panels that provide power and four electric car charging stations for visitors.
Sunset Hills is a new favorite! We were looking for a place with a cozy interior since it was cold and windy out, and this spot was perfect! That said, I hope we can come back and enjoy the beautiful and plentiful outdoor space once it's warmer. We were able to just walk in and do a wine tasting with ease. The place has a nice cozy ambiance with some live music and several seating areas. The ladies working the bar were very nice and accommodating despite being fairly busy. The tasting was great and we had several favorites, including the 2020 sunset white and the 2021 Rose of Cabernet Sauvignon. The ciabatta bread and asiago cheese spread was delicious as well. Can't wait to come back soon!

As we wound our way through the mountains on another weekend adventure, Sunset Hills was a planned stop—and for good reason. We’d been told not to pass it by, and after visiting, we completely understand why. The stunning architecture, built by Amish craftsmen, sets a warm and inviting tone the moment you step inside. Jeff was fantastic—not only sharing thoughtful details about each wine but also taking the time to understand both of our preferences (one dry, one sweet). He made us feel right at home with recommendations tailored to each of us. Beyond the wine, the menu and atmosphere invite you to linger—sip, share stories, and truly soak in the spirit of a weekend getaway. We can’t wait to come back and discover what other delicious wines they’re pouring next. Each one, we’re sure, will be worth every drop.

Staff at this winery are amazing. They make sure that you are well accommodated including if you have a wheelchair. Wine is always good. Would recommend.

We had a great time here in this winery. The staff was really helpful and the wine tasting list was really nice. The bread was also a gem! We arrived a little late in the day so it was not too packed.
Roy C — Google review
The place is beautifully decorated and the outdoors is lovely, with different spots to sit at, a fountain and much greenery. My only complaint is that for $10.60 a glass I got a very little pour. Maybe it was the few sips of samples I tried before I chose that got calculated in, or the fact that the bottle was completed and the bartender didn’t want to open another one, but I feel that I could have get a bit more generous treatment. Food is quite expensive.

I recently hosted a birthday party at Sunset Hills Vineyard at the recommendation of a friend and could not have had a better time! I wanted to write this review to express my gratitude for my unforgettable experience. Even weeks before my event, Aubry handled my reservation graciously and answered my many questions promptly, helping me to secure a dog-friendly spot for about 10-12 guests total. When I finally arrived on the day of the event, I was floored by how picturesque the property was and how warm and inviting the staff was. My friends and I got so many beautiful pictures! I was greeted by Dave, and he showed me to a charming little shady grove area that they had saved for me. The area was large enough to accommodate probably 15-20 people, and off to the side of property to allow for privacy. Throughout our event, Ben and Zenaya checked on us frequently to make sure we were doing alright and accommodated all of our requests. We also had a chance to do the wine tasting inside, and I personally loved all of the wines! There was not a single bad wine we tried in my opinion. Some of the guests that were also there saw us celebrating and even gifted us some bottles for us to enjoy! All in all, I think this will be a birthday I will never forget. THANK YOU! We will definitely be back :)

Sunset Hills Vineyard is one of our favorite places to go. There are a lot of vineyards to visit in Virginia. The wine is good (not saying it is the best), the atmosphere is welcoming, but what separates it from the rest are the staff. You could not find a friendlier group of people at the Ritz Carlton. If you make the effort to visit, you won’t be disappointed.

What an amazing experience and wonderful winery!!!! From the warm welcome and extensive knowledge of the wines from Kelly to the beautiful landscape and view of the mountains and vineyards and the gorgeous barn and the friendliness from Elizabeth and all the staff, everything was absolutely amazing!!! We did the wine taste tour and every wine was exceptional! You can tell this place takes pride and puts love and care into their wines and establishment and customers. After tasting the wines and the great experience with the staff, I immediately joined the wine club and look forward to many more amazing experiences here and with these amazing wines! Please check this place out, you will NOT be disappointed!!! Exceptional experience!!!!

Coney Island Diner offers a delightful dining experience with its generous portions and flavorful dishes. The chicken cordon bleu sandwich, featuring a sizable chicken breast and well-seasoned bun, is a standout choice. Accompanied by delectable fries, the meal is complemented by attentive service from the friendly staff.
Lunch was good. I had the chicken cordon bleu sandwich. Huge chicken breast, tasty bun, very well seasoned. Fries were good. Service was good. The waitress kept my water filled and checked back on us twice during the meal.

It comes with a very heavy heart for me to write this review. As someone who grew up in the area between Philadelphia and New York, I can assure you that the food here is mediocre (at best). The breakfast food is especially disheartening. I've eaten here now 4 times for breakfast over a year long period, and it's all just been blah. Definitely not the quality diner food I remember as a child. And the prices........
Adam S — Google review
Great staff friendly however the two times I have been in here the ominous black cloud of an owner has hovered and treated his employees like garbage. The food is blah even by crappie diner standards. The prices are pricey and food inconsistent got the same thing twice and portions varied by at least a 1/3. Debated getting up after I heard the owner ask his female employee if she was an idiot. The employees get 5 stars for putting up with the workplace abuse. Hey owner get a clue we your patrons can hear and see you. We don't want to observe you mistreating a bunch of kids.
Robert H — Google review
We went last night for dinner, this will be our last time going there. Clearly the food is all frozen. We ordered appetizers which were awful and the oil in which the food is fried in tasted like it was the same oil used a week ago. Our waitress didn't seem to want to be there and her cell phone, which was in her pocket, kept going off which is very unprofessional. Silence your phone...Better yet put it down while you are working! This was only the third time we have gone to this restaurant and the last, each time the food and service got worse.
Nancy D — Google review
I would disregard the poor reviews of Coney Island Diner! We came here for a 12pm "breakfast" and had more than enough service. We had three different people check on us, not that our waiter was lacking, but clearly they all work as a team here. The Denver omelette and Irish Benedict were so great- and we highly recommend the mimosas! We will come back for lunch and dinner in the near future. Loved it!
Keryn S — Google review
I was fairly disappointed in my experience this morning. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the menu was okay. It is the typical menu for a diner with other lunch and dinner items available to "up" the offerings. I think it would be fair to call this a "faux diner." That said, I think there were no less than six individuals working the not crowded floor and service left a great deal to be desired. Each time I needed something (be it creamer for my coffee, more coffee, ketchup, etc.) I found myself looking around for someone--anyone--to ask for it. None of these items were ever voluntarily offered. Also, the portions were a little stingy. I ordered something that came with "two pieces of french toast." It did technically live up to that description, but the two pieces were the two halves of one piece of bread. My daughter ordered pancakes. They looked nice but they were very dry.
Paula S — Google review
Just finished a fantastic breakfast! Shelley took great care of us and the eggs were prepared perfectly. All to often at breakfast the egg prep ruins the meal. Not here. They know how to do things right!!
Carolyn S — Google review
At first I was a little worried about trying this place because the reviews used to be really mixed, but I can see that they took the criticism and fixed what people in the past were upset about. The service was wonderful, attentive and friendly, the prices are fair for the amount of food given, and the food tastes home cooked. I recommend giving this place a shot.

Hot Wok has been a beloved destination for Chinese cuisine for over 15 years, thanks to its warm and welcoming owners who consistently whip up mouthwatering dishes. The menu is packed with favorites like the spicy Crispy Beef, delectable dumplings, and savory Moo Goo Gai Pan. Don't miss out on their fried rice options or the tender spare ribs! For those craving comfort food, their soups and Egg Foo Young are delightful choices.
We have been going here for 15 years. The owners are super nice and make amazing food. 0 Star Overall! I placed my take out order during the lunch hours, between 11am - 3pm, clearly stated on their menu. They do not give an itemized receipt with a breakdown of charges and it wasn’t until after I’d left and paid, I realized I was charged dinner pricing. I called the restaurant and mentioned I ordered during lunch time frame but was charged dinner pricing. The staff started yelling at me and said, “I don’t care; you didn’t specify”. Really disappointing at lack of customer concern and certainly will not be a returning customer.
MM — Google review
This place has changed. Always has been dead on but tonight not so much. No mustard or duck sauce with the egg rolls, no fortune cookies, the General Tso chicken was a big glob, the pancakes for Moo Shi pork were not the same as before, thin and blah, little things but not what I expected from previous visits. I hope they don't turn into Pens.
James F — Google review
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was truly disappointing. We ordered the Egg Foo Young and General Tso's Chicken — both were terrible. The food was extremely greasy, soggy, and lacked any real flavor. It tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. To make matters worse, when I called to politely express my concerns, the manager hung up on me mid-conversation. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. There are too many great Chinese restaurants out there to waste your time or money here. I won’t be ordering again.
Mark P — Google review
I spent $47 on an order that ended up entirely in the trash. The food was completely bland—no flavor, no seasoning, nothing redeeming. Even the egg roll, which should be simple to get right, was soggy and tasteless. To make matters worse, the staff was unprofessional and dismissive when I called to express my concerns. No apology, no attempt to make it right—just attitude. Purcellville you can do better!

Restaurant
Purcellville Family Restaurant, also known as "Fran's" to the locals, has been a beloved neighborhood spot for years. Despite its name changes and management transitions, it continues to attract a loyal following. The restaurant offers a casual and friendly dining experience with its old-school diner atmosphere. Known for serving the best breakfast in Purcellville, it is a popular spot for locals to enjoy a country breakfast with friends.
First time visit this past Sunday for lunch. I was impressed with the entire experience. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The facilities (including the restroom) while dated, are very clean and well maintained. The food was terrific. We ordered hamburgers and fries. The prices are quite reasonable. I will definitely be a return customer !

Nice little spot. It's not fancy by any means, but it was exactly what we were looking for. Good food, good prices and a good menu selection. Server was very nice. Only real complaint was my husband asked for over medium eggs and got over easy and I asked for scrambled and they were cooked a little longer than I like.
Caroline B — Google review
Love this place!! The sign in the front is faded & I was a little concerned from the outside appearance. Don’t let that stop you, though. I found them while searching for breakfast and was highly impressed. I got the corned beef hash which came with eggs potatoes & toast. Even after adding an egg the total is around $11/12 which is really good given the portions. The place has that old school diner feel but it’s pretty clean and everyone there is pleasant. I’ll have to try something other than the hash in order to say it’s the best breakfast spot in the area but by what I ordered I’ll definitely be returning!

I have never been so ticked off with a place in my life. I have had multiple problems. They never seem to get my order right I understand that I am only wanting eggs and grilled chicken in my bowl and that’s not technically on the menu however they do have a chicken bowl or on the menu. I’m not sure how hard it is for me to say I only want eggs and grilled chicken with extra grilled chicken but no, they put cheese in it. No extra chicken or I get hashbrowns sometimes with no extra chicken and no cheese. They can never seem to get it right. I’ve called multiple times they do nothing about it. For instance today I went and I said I want just a bowl with scrambled eggs, grilled chicken extra grilled chicken so very simple I put it and I get scrambled eggs cheese chicken with no extra chicken 10 out of 10 do not recommend Chick-fil-A in Purcellville

There is a rumor that the ownership changed here and I believe it because this place is nothing like it used to be. I feel so bad for the amazing employees who probably take the brunt of unhappy customers when it’s not their fault. Do NOT come here if you need to be somewhere at a certain time or don’t have 30 minutes to wait. Every time we come here the wait is so long now that we get stuck in line and there is no turning back. Today we waited 20 minutes before even getting to order and they had stopped serving breakfast while we were waiting. I do not typically leave negative reviews unless it’s really bad, and this place is really bad.
Rachel H — Google review
Longest ticket times I've ever experienced at any CFA establishment. They're truly atrocious. I worked in a CFA kitchen for a bit and it was bad if our times were ever longer than a minute or two. The drive thru goes about the pace of an elderly sloth with MS. Save yourself the trouble and just go to Jersey Mike's or something. Or take a trip to Leesburg where they actually run a tight ship.
Henry B — Google review
I would at least check every time you pick up your order. Unfortunately, they do mess it up 3 times out of 5. They also never ever feel sorry and offer any kind of apologize. So if you are okay to travel 20 minutes back and forth, trying to collect all of your food-go for it. Today they decided to give me avocado ranch dressing with kids mean, when I ordered a salad... oh well

Great food, quick and easy.. friendly staff. The fries were cooked perfectly and nice and crispy - a bit pricey in my opinion but so is everything these days.

Drive thru equipment has been broken for almost 2 years. Operator doesn’t seem to care to fix anything. The exterior building sign doesn’t light up anymore and hasn’t for years. Always painfully slow service. Overall, get a very lazy vibe from here. Nothing like other Chick-fil-A’s and just overall seems like a lack of pride in the store and Chick-fil-A brand.

So went in after doing work to get food for me and step dad. Ordered then went to sit, I followed two other ladies and sat right by them. The cashiers brought food to several people and walked past me several times, I was wearing a bright colored shirt not hard to miss. They did not call my name or bring my food they just sat it on the shelf and left it there so after half an hour of sitting and waiting I went up where she just points over at the food. At this point several people came in after me and got their food it was walked to them every time. So I am extremely irritated because 0 effort was made to find me and it was just sat there for god knows how long. First time and last time coming here.

Nestled in a historic mansion, West End Wine Bar & Pub offers a delightful experience with its seasonal garden and diverse offerings. The wine list showcases local vintages alongside European and New World selections, while the basement pub exudes a lively atmosphere with its wood-burning fireplace. The venue's rich history is evident in the refurbished space, featuring exposed stone walls and functioning fireplaces.
It’s a very interesting place. Looks like they changed this residency-ish house into a restaurant. Super cool and unique. My favorite dishes were the crispy short rib appetizer and the Southern Shrimp n grits. Highly recommended this two.

The Crispy Iberico Ribs were the best! Good food, I enjoyed it very much. Also got the Ribs Bolognese and was very satisfied with that. Beautiful view too. We did get a NY steak that was overdone, but they kindly remade it for us. The cocktails could be a little more varied, many seemed geared towards the sweet side. Overall really enjoyed it!

We've been to the West End one other time on a Friday evening and had a good meal but meh service...never got my 2nd drink. The food was the lure to return tonight. We made a reservation. We showed up on time. We were seated promptly. We were asked our water preference and chose tap. And that is where our meal ended. TWENTY FIVE minutes later we hadn't even gotten that tap water we asked for let alone the attention of a server to take our order. We did leave. The hostess asked why on our way out. We told her. She said "Okay" Have you never heard of service recovery? We went to Magnolia's where we were promptly greeted, seated and served. #Justsaying

Strangely sized portions (lots of deviled eggs but a tiny amount of risotto--very boringly plated--and not at all great fried green tomatoes. Tons of "stuff" piled on them. Conflicting flavors. Please pick just one. But Cody was a charming server and theres capacious outdoor seating. And indoors is very nice as well.

Husband and I made reservations Saturday (9/30) for date night. We arrived early, but we're sat right away. Our server was very friendly, but they definitely were understandstaffed (she mentioned herself earlier). We had to wait a bit between dinner and dessert. I enjoyed the sangria, it was huge. The food was REALLY good. Very homey and comforting. My husband had the veal special and I had the confit chicken. For desserts, we enjoyed tiramisu and creme brulee. It was a quiet and quaint dinner. We enjoyed ourselves.

The bar has a really cute atmosphere, and we enjoyed delicious drinks with great service while waiting for our table. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and the food was tasty, though it could use a little more refinement. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with room for a bit more polish.

We had such a lovely dinner here the other night! The food was delicious, drinks were amazing, and service was the right amount of attentive without being made to feel like we were rushed. We were sat out on the patio, and it was such a lovely evening to sit, enjoy and decompress after a long day. Will definitely be back!
Polly S — Google review
First time at this restaurant. Always passed by it so decided to try it and invited another couple to come with us. Service was really bad, waiter came to the table, didn’t even introduce himself he came a straight wanted the order for drinks and food. We gave him the order for the drinks and told him we were not ready to order yet because we hadn’t looked at the menu yet. When we ordered the food my husband ordered the salmon and repeated 6 times that he wanted it rear and if it wasn’t rear he was going to send it back. Sure enough it came completely over cooked and he sent it back. When the waiter finally showed up at the table we told him that the salmon was sent back and his answer was, I wrote rear in the ticket, not an I am sorry I will make sure it comes out rear is there something I can get you while you wait? Then the table was never cleared of dirty dishes and the check was brought to us after looking for the server for 15 minutes. Dessert was never offered . When he brought the check we told him that needed to be split into 2. He took 1 credit card and charged the whole amount to it. When we told him that it needed to be charged to 2 credit cards as he was told before, his answer was you only gave me 1 credit card. Never had such bad service. Several employees including the manager passed by our table and saw that it was full of dirty dishes and not one of them cleared the table.

Amazing knowledge here. Real experienced adults who actually know the answer to any problem you can give them as opposed to the children at Ace Hardware who know nothing. This is an old fashioned hardware store where everything is always in stock and the products are high quality (again, as opposed to places like Ace). A treasure for our community.

It's a pretty cool old store. Tourist-worthy. Been treated nicely for the most part. However... One time we needed something in an emergency and when we arrived they had the door locked and a sign "closed due to power outage". We saw a lady inside, called her attention, told her we had a situation and would leave her cash money in excess of the price and tax for the low ticket item, for her to reconcile later and keep the excess, so we wouldn't have to drive into Leesburg. But no, that was too much trouble, apparently, and she couldn't be bothered. So ever since, we try to plan around avoiding doing business there. But it's still handy as a last resort. As long as the power isn't out!

Paints, Screws, Hand Tools, Plumbing, Electrical, Lawn and Garden and more. And they are so nice and helpful. Keep the positive business vibes alive and shop at Nichols Hardware!
Virginia F — Google review
For a long time I supported this place and strongly advocated against shopping at Ace hardware. Keep things local at a hardware store that is part of the community. Unfortunately, one smug employee ruined that experience for me, and I'll now be switching my allegiance to Ace. I purchased a small $6 shower accessory. Unfortunately I lost the receipt. The accessory was not what I needed, and I attempted to return it. The employee stated I cannot return without a receipt, even for a store credit (I was going to purchase products worth more than the value of what I was returning). I was disappointed at this response, but I shopped for what I needed anyway. I went to the front, and the employee was helping another customer in an aisle. After helping that customer, she proceeded to another customer in the aisle. Now, I understand one person having to triage, but at that point a simple acknowledgement of me would have been nice. It felt intentional, and it seemed as if the employee was taking satisfaction, acting somewhat smug as she told me she won't accept a return without a receipt. Not sure if this is just one rude employee, or the owner is really this strict about returns on $6 items that are clearly unused, but either way, I seriously doubt I'll be doing business here any more. If you had or have a similar experience, I also encourage you to drop these clowns. In short, I go to a neighborhood spot like this for the service. And when I'm treated this way, it defeats the purpose of avoiding much more convenient and likely cheaper options like Ace or Amazon. You are not really selling hardware - you should be trying to offer a superior customer experience--remember that and you will not lose customers like this

What a great local hardware store. I work at a local golf course and this place has had everything I've needed so far. I needed some nine inch heavy duty bolts and had no problem finding them. Home Depot and Lowe's were both out of stock. If you're close to purcellville I would check this place first it's small but they've had everything I've needed so far. The owners and staff are amazing and nice.

I miss the old Nichols Hardware when they wrote up each ticket by hand. It was part of the charm of the place. I know the upgrade to computerized sales makes it more efficient in so many ways. I know many customers found it annoying as I stood in line behind them they would turn and ask me, "do they always write up every ticket?" No problem with service or parking, that part is still the same and still love going in there. Employees are always very helpful.

Tipped Cow Creamery, located next to Monks BBQ, offers hand-crafted artisanal ice cream. For those who prefer soft serve, Grutos on Main Street is a popular spot in Purcellville. Additionally, the nearby Bush Tabernacle roller skating rink adds a nostalgic touch to the area. Visitors have praised Tipped Cow Creamery for its unique and flavorful ice cream options such as cotton candy and chocolate.
Great ice cream at a good price. The scoops are generous for sure. I got the fresh mint which turned out to be spearmint flavored. That was a bit of a shock but still tasty. The chocolate chip cookie dough is one of the bests I’ve ever had.

Delicious local small batch ice cream. Perfect for a summer treat. The very best flavor is blackberry, hands down! Eat local treats!

This ice cream place seemed to be popular around the neighborhood. I liked the chocolate cone, but the ice cream was too sweet for me. Also, the staff gave me something different from what I ordered… Overall, I think it’s an okay ice cream place, but I might not particularly drive a long way to come here just for the ice cream.

Great quality ice cream. Not a ton of flavors, but the ones they have are solid. Their malts are also good.

I have gone here twice once when it was busy and once when it empty. Both times I had great service. I enjoyed the cookies and cream milkshake. Vanilla, chocolate and orange cream were all good too for my boys. Good amount of indoor and outdoor seating.

After a long day of disc golf playing my cousin stopped me to get ice cream at Tipped Cow Creamery. Now Walking into was little awkward I won't lie but ice cream and the location was very good and the ice cream had its own texture was different than any other one I've ever tasted which made a unique and tasteful. I got the cotton candy and my cousin got the chocolate. Chocolate was very rich and delicious and the cotton candy was very sweet, good for kids 😄 I would recommend at least stopping by and tasting it. Thanks for amazing Ice Cream. 🙏😁

What an amazing bakery!! They had plenty of cookies, cupcakes and turnovers to choose from. The atmosphere was awesome and inspiring. Lots of artwork. There were books for sale. You have to stop in if you’re in the area!!
Amber H — Google review
This place is under new ownership and it shows. We went on a Saturday late morning, a time one would expect a bakery to be busy and plan accordingly but they had very little on offer. The lovely young man working said that’s the normal range of options. All the pictures of gorgeous delicious items must be from the previous owners because the cases held nothing even close. We got a cookie sandwich and a “scone”. The cookie was inedible because it was just sugar, no flavor in the cookie or the sugar fluff filling. That went in the trash before we got back to the car. Then there was the “scone”. Whoever made this has clearly never actually SEEN a scone. If one is selling baked goods, one might want to actually know what these baked goods are. This was not a scone (fluffy/dense/slightly sweet/crisp on the outside). This was an underbaked/over-sweet cookie. Even for a cookie it was inedible. This too went in the trash after the picture. SO disappointing. They won’t last long if this is the level of quality the new owners are good with.

I always have to stop by when I visit the area. They offer a very large selection of baked goods, both sweet and savory. Everything is always perfectly fresh and so delicious! They offer some hot and cold beverages and seating available inside and out. An amazing little place that should be on your list!

I popped in mid-bike ride to see if they had any vegan offerings, and they did! What a treat. We had two fresh-from-the-oven turnovers and were told we could also enjoy the pistachio baklava! I’m so happy I checked this place out. I’ll be sure to ride to the end of the W&OD more often for more tasty treats 😍

The treats are so beautiful and tasty. They are pricey but worth it in my opinion. Cute little shop with a small selection of bake goods and drinks. Everything looked amazing and the strawberry shortcake I got was so fluffy and delicious. I’d go back when I want to really treat myself.

A small cozy bakery at the end of W&OD trail run by kind folks. I stop by once in a while to refill my energy tank in the middle of my bike rides and I'm always impressed by the quality of their baked goods as well as their service.

I recently moved to Purcellville and was in need of a bakery to bake a cake for a birthday dinner I hosted. I found Sweet Rose through a Google search, looked at their website and liked the photos of their work. I visited the shop and had a pleasant conversation with the young man working behind the counter. He told me to simply email Tanya what I wanted and I did. She nailed it! The cake was exactly what I wanted...beautiful, deliciously moist, and the butter cream frosting was scrumptious...not too sweet and not too heavy, overpowering the cake like some bakeries make. I recommend Sweet Rose to anyone in the Purcellville area in need of baked goods! Their customer service was impeccable and they won't disappoint. I will definitely be ordering from them again!

Lovely shop, amazing coffee. I just had the best mocha of my life and it was iced too. It's about 85 degrees out and I came off the trail looking for water. The atmosphere reminds me of family get togeathers at the farmhouse. Wide selection of pastries and baked good. The coffee bar does not disappoint. Special note for the kind and generous staff. It's an attitude you can't teach through mandatory training. It shows the quality of the people working here and the care they have for their craft.

Greek restaurant
My Deli & Café | Greek Bistro is a Mediterranean restaurant located in Purcellville, VA, offering a modern take on traditional Greek cuisine. With a focus on generous portions and authentic Mediterranean flavors, this bistro serves up a variety of dishes including pizzas, salads, mezze plates, and freshly baked bread. Established in 2007, the bistro prides itself on high-quality pita wraps, gourmet paninis, soups, and homemade bread.
It is often impossible to have good service, good food, and a good feeling about a place all at once. The truth is, you always have 10 out of 10 on one or two of those things, but never all together. This little Greek spot has it all. From a delicious menu made fresh to great service and a fantastic atmosphere, there's more and more and it just never ends. The owner loves engaging with his customers. He knows everyone that walks in and takes orders, and yet, he manages to prep in the kitchen while mysteriously showing over your shoulder with a hot coffee. Is he a ghost or a truly multitasking specimen that has perfected how to run a business? He's actively engaging, promotes positiveness, and treats you like you're part of his family. His business is clean, the music is pleasant, the menu is simple, and there are lots of options.

Wow! This was a random visit and we're so glad we stopped by! The food was delicious, the price was right, and my wife called it "the perfect after pool meal!" We had Hummus and Pita bread, Greek Salad! The hummus was awesome! She had a smoked Turkey panini and I had the gyro platter. It was delicious!!

I hate that I have to rate this place poorly, owner or the counter guy was really nice. But our sandwiches were all pretty bad. My wife’s Italian had no dressing. My deli special was mostly mayo and feta, some rough chopped veggies and hardly any meat. They need to make some adjustments.

Great place to stop by for delicious and authentic Greek cuisine! One of my favorite places for gyros, and I make sure to stop by everytime I'm in the area. Small but comfortable seating area, menu offers a variety of options, and orders come out quick.

This has to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a restaurant. I called the restaurant a few days before because I knew we would have a large order (for 8 people), and the owner was amazing. He spent a lot of time on the phone helping me figure out what to order. And when I told him we were from out of town and wouldn’t be able to pick up the food, he was beyond nice and delivered our meal himself! The food was also delicious! The chicken on the salad was SO good. It was white meat- cooked perfectly, not chewy, and clearly quality. The Greek salad was perfect, and the ingredients were fresh. We also ordered some gyro meat and a few other things which were also great (as was everything), but the highlights were the hummus and the desserts! You have to try the cannolis! (The group was also a fan of the baklava and chocolate cake, but the cannoli was the best). Honestly, if I lived nearby, I’d be here too often… with great food and a great owner, I can’t imagine a better experience. Highly recommend.

My family recently visited this wonderful little Greek Bistro. From the moment we stepped foot in the place, we felt incredibly welcome. In an area sorely lacking good Greek dining options, this place is a gem. It was clear from their attention to detail, passion for service and excellent food that they are super passionate about what they do. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Stopped by hankering for a tuna salad sandwich. I certainly received SOMEthing of the consistency of an over-mayonnaised tuna salad. But it did not taste like any tuna I have ever had or seen. Almost flavorless, it was almost pure white--a color of tuna I have never seen. If you had blindfolded me, I would not have been able to tell you if it was a tuna salad or a chicken salad, or perhaps some ersatz seafood flaky meat. I don't know what it was, but I did not finish it, did not like it, and it left a strange odor on my fingers. There was just something "off" about it.
Harry G — Google review
This place was pretty unsanitary. They don’t wear gloves and they had a child eating from the salad bar as they were making our meals. Super disappointing.

Chicken wings restaurant
A substantial order was placed at Velocity Wings for a recent graduation party, which turned out to be a flawless experience. The wings were served promptly and piping hot, accompanied by generous portions of blue cheese, celery, and carrots. With various flavors available, the guests thoroughly enjoyed them. This establishment is an excellent choice for events or large family gatherings. The tender chicken wings are irresistibly delicious and consistently meet expectations in terms of speed and quality.
I had to stop and charge my EV and, since Velocity was in the same strip mall as the charger, I thought I would give it a try. The service was friendly, helpful, and quick and the food was delicious. I got the classic chicken sandwich and it was quintessential. A much better overall experience than going to the Chic-Fil-A down the road.

The waitress was trying her best, but they seemed to be understaffed. We ordered two different orders of wings ( 4 flavors), and someone from the kitchen delivered our orders~~ and couldn't tell us which one was which. Our order of fries was served cold, and we asked that they be replaced, which they were... with only slightly warmer fries. The order of fries was $7. If they're that proud of their fries, they should get better at cooking them. Also, FYI, there is only one restroom, which was unisex . It was a nice restroom, but it seemed odd that there was only one . Maybe a space issue?

I called yesterday to order 10 chicken wings. "Thank you sir, that'll be $25." "Say that again." "Yes sir, 10 wings are $25, I'm sorry." "Ahh, you know what, I'd like to cancel that order, I just don't want to pay $2.50 cents per chicken wing. Can you cancel that?" "Yessir. I know. I'm sorry." Went to another place just up the street, a pub, and got around 22 truly EXCELLENT wings, two different flavors for waaay less than $25. This is not a criticism of the VW's food, atmosphere, etc. I didn't eat their wings.

I typically don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my thoughts after experiencing the same things again and again and giving Velocity so many tries over the years—hoping it would be better the next time. Last night we were seated in a booth in the center of the restaurant. We waited for over 20 minutes and nobody ever came to our table to greet us or even take a drink order. Typically I would flag someone down, but having had this experience several times in the past at this location, I decided not to. I really just wanted to see how long they would let us sit there. Mind you the restaurant was probably only at 40-50% capacity and I have had this same exact experience every time I have dined here in the last 5 years. 3 different servers continuously walked past our table, cleaning other tables, checking in with other parties, quite literally looking directly at us and not once stopping at our table. It is so disappointing as a local to have limited options in town, wanting to support a restaurant like Velocity, and continuously being let down. I don't understand what the point in expanding the restaurant if they can't manage the handful of tables in the main seating area. After the 25 minute wait, we got up and left and went to the Pub. Bummer!
Cameron T — Google review
We’ve lived in the area for about 3.5 years and, for no particular reason, had not yet made it to Velocity Wings. But then our daughter’s school had a Spirit Night there so we decided to go. Well, let me tell you, I’m bummed we haven’t tried it sooner!! They were pretty busy on this particular night but we were seated right away. The dining room is okay, but then put some tables between two rows air booths so it be a bit of a tight fit. But nothing too crazy. Our booth had a TV so it would be an okay place to watch sports. There are also a couple bar areas if you wanted to sit there. Service was good. The only complaint I would have is that, for some reason, our daughter’s max and cheese came out 5-10 minutes after the rest of our dinners. And we had to remind them. But I give them a pass due to the spirit night rush. The waiter was knowledgeable and gave recommendations on wing flavors to my husband. We were also pleasantly surprised that they have some additional wing flavors not on the menu… much to my daughter’s delight who loves Old Bay on her wings. Now about the food… they have this great option to add five wings as a “combo” to any meal. So you don’t have to decide between wings and something else. The wings are large and cooked well. But I was most in love the the Black and Bleu Steak salad I got. It was sooo good! Seriously, I’m craving it right now! My husband split his order between Island Dry Rub and Memphis Dry Rub. The Memphis was just okay for him but he enjoyed the Island Dry Rub so much he was trying to eat the remnants using his celery! Velocity Wings is a great local option for good food and it bout a stuffy atmosphere or getting too loud. We will definitely be going back

This is such a great spot! The new ownership and management (Ken and Rob) have made this place even better than before. The food remains fantastic and their house made gluten free crust is one of, if not THE, best in town. I can't wait for the new bar to be installed so I can come and watch the games. If you haven't been here before, or if it's been a while, you need to come by. You won't be disappointed!

First-time newcomer to town, based on asking fellow customers in line at Ace Hardware “what’s the best carryout non-fast food in town?” 900 Degrees won my unscientific poll. My personal pizza with add-ons was ready on time and delicious. Perfect size for one, with two slices leftover for tomorrow. Staff was friendly, and they open the box to make sure you’re happy before ringing it up. I’ll definitely be back! (I’ll also go back to Ace for future polls, lol)

I have always loved this place. Even with the change of owners they have always managed to keep the place delicious and delightful. It has always been #1 on my Gluten Free pizza and regular pizza chart. And also my #1 favorite place to get a Gluten Free sub now and forever, because literally what the HE-double hockey sticks are you putting in there. Keep up the magic.

We stopped in on a whim after a couple brewery visits yesterday. We were immediately greeted and seated by Rob. He was very attentive the whole time we were there. The margherita pizza and mozzarella sticks were great! My only regret is not getting a large pizza instead of a medium. Keep up the great work! We will definitely be back.

One of the best wineries I’ve ever visited! The atmosphere was incredibly charming and peaceful — a perfect blend of natural beauty and thoughtful design. Everything from the scenic views to the attentive staff and the quality of the wine was simply outstanding. It’s the kind of place where you can truly relax, enjoy every sip, and make lasting memories. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delightful winery experience.

My girlfriend and I had a great time here a few weeks ago. The property is absolutely beautiful. There is tons of indoor and outdoor seating. The rosé was okay—not the best I’ve had but not the worst. Prices are very reasonable. They have free board games inside that you are allowed to use. The only food we tried was the pretzel and it was massive/delicious. Both kid and dog friendly. Definitely recommend checking out!

Overall had a great time. The staff was friendly but at times they did seem uninterested in providing a full-experience. It wasn’t packed when we went- since there was a thunderstorm out, but we did have a great time. Less people the better- and sometimes undivided attention from the staff. We had a couple of their flights, a bottle and took one home. Their food was good too! Definitely recommend!!

Nice winery/brewery in Virginia wine country. We went on a Friday afternoon so it was relatively quiet and sat out overlooking the vines. Wine by flights or the bottle, pub food, prices were reasonable. Staff said it can get very busy on the weekends.

We visited your winery on Monday October 13 for a tasting and lunch. Did not get the young mans name who was doing our tasting and prepared and served our food, he was moving so quickly, but let me sing his praise. He was the only one working there and did an incredible job of taking care of your customers. Very nice and friendly guy. Don't know the circumstances as to why he didn't have help but there was a nice flow of people coming in and he did a fantastic job! He deserves a bonus!!!!

868 Estate Vineyards, located in Loudoun County, is the 2020 winner of the Governors Cup. This vineyard offers guests a charming experience filled with wine, art, and music. The property's surroundings include orchards, forests, and gardens that offer stunning scenery for visitors to enjoy while they explore. The winery began in 2012 with only 10 acres of vines but has since expanded to 22 acres and produces over 4,000 cases of wine daily.
The setting was lovely, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. The wine flights were fantastic, and I had the largest pretzel I've ever seen. The panini and pickle were both delicious. However, I would have preferred a side salad for some greens over chips.

Lovely winery in Loudoun County! Elegant wines, gorgeous views, and welcoming staff made our first visit a great tasting experience. This family-owned winery has been around since 2012 and has picked up several Virginia Governor’s Cup medals along the way. You can grab a glass, bottle, or do a self-guided flight (with tasting notes) and take it to your seat inside or outside. Lots of outdoor space to relax and enjoy the day (pet and children friendly) We tried the White, Red, and Gold Medal flights, along with a charcuterie board and some truffles. We liked the wines so much we ended up joining the wine club! Clearly we will be back!!!

For the most part, we all hope for great wines, right? If so, you've come to the right place! Whites or reds, you won't be disappointed. Add to that the wonderfully friendly and engaging staff, lovely ambiance, a variety of places to sit, gorgeous views and frequent music offerings all add up to being so glad you came. They also have various snack and lunch offerings. We had to come back the next day knowing it was perfect for our weekend getaway.

Friendly staff, reasonably priced wine and easy reservation system for larger groups. Picnic style tables outside, but if the weather is nice, this is a great spot for enjoying your day at a vineyard! They also had live music which was a plus. 868 does allow outside food and their food menu was not only large, but included a variety too! Biking Trails
The W&OD Trailhead offers a range of outdoor activities, including biking, hiking, and horseback riding. The trail spans from Purcellville to Shirlington, with diverse scenery along the way. Cyclists can find support at Spokes bike shop in Vienna and grab refreshments at Whole Foods located near the trail. Reston Town Center also offers dining options for leisurely rides. However, parking may require some planning as local parks discourage parking for trail users.
Such an awesome trail! I grew up in Reston walking / biking / running various sections. I have even cycles from the Purcellville end down to the end downtown. So many adventures, places to stop, and scenic views!

Really enjoyed my bike ride on this trail. I rode with a group of twenty others cyclists. We rode from Purcellville to Leesburg and back. Approximately 21 miles round trip. The trail was in great shape. There was, however, some debris from a storm the day before. We were there a weekday, so the trail wasn't crowded. Definitely a nice ride. I would love to ride more of the trail.
Dennis B — Google review
We started at the Purcelville Trail. There is a public lot, 2hr parking available. The first 2 to 3 miles had a lot of street crossings. After that they were not as frequent. Paved with a yellow divider line Somewhat narrow Very busy with bilers, walkers, runners and baby carriages. Road bikers we all riding very fast as noted in other reviews. Several benches for breaks, a few portable outhouses and bike stations Beautiful scenery

The end of the W&OD Trail. There's nothing really marking it, but it's nicely situated in town attractions and food nearby. Nice bathrooms are in the old train station right next to it, and a water fountain, though it wasn't working. Parking is plentiful and easily accessible with a public lot right next to it and trail lot about 1/2 mile down the trail.

Lovely spot in Purcellville. The Sweet Rose Bakeshop is just across the street, and the fresh cream puffs were delicious! Historical buildings and gardens give the location a great ambiance.
Brian H — Google review
The Purcellville trailhead marks a milestone for many people especially if you start from mile marker 0 in Shirlington and end up here at mile marker 45. The whole trip roundtrip can be a century bike ride if you do a loop into the mount vernon trail and custis trail. This is a pretty flat trail with paved roads. There are pedestrians, runners, cyclists, people on horseback, dogs, roller skaters all throughout this trail. I have personally completed this trail many times on my bike through the years. I haven't explored purcellville too much myself, but it seems like a nice little town. There is a bakery/cafe right in across the street from here where many people stop by to refuel before heading back.

The trail from Vienna onwards going west towards Purcellville is great! A few pointers for new riders or if its your first time in that direction; 1. Spokes is a bike shop a little bit off the trail in Town of Vienna. They are closed on Monday's and Tuesday's. 2. Whole Foods is located right off the trail so you can get drinks or snacks if needed. 3. Reston Town Center is located a little bit off of the trail - you can get food at a good restaurant if you're on a leisure bike ride. 4. Herndon has a bike shop called Green Lizard which is right off the W&OD trailer. Hopefully not but if you find yourself needing bike help, they are great! 5. The trail has a few (not many) water fountains where you can get water from. I say not many because many aren't well maintained. 6. After Town of Leesburg there isn't much available in terms of a gas station etc that is located right off the trail. So if you need too top off water etc. this is your last place. 7. On the way from Leesburg to Purcellville you are forced to take the side of the road with vehicles so be careful...it isn't for long, maybe 0.5 miles or less. One other thing to note is that the trail from here onwards is a little bumpy because of tree roots..so be careful. 8. When you get to Purcellville, which is where the W&OD trail ends, there is a bakery called Sweet Rose Bakeshop. I did this and I would highly recommend that you get a bakery item and/or a drink (Gatorade, coffee, etc). The other benefit of going to this place is that you get to use their clean restroom! 9. Make sure you have good lights on your bike since the trail does not have lights. Sorry for this lengthy review but I really wish I knew some of these things for my first ride out that way. Have fun and stay safe!

Enjoyed stopping here before turning around and heading back to Leesburg. Be sure to try the baked goods at the bakery across the street.

Catoctin Creek Distilling Company, located in historic downtown Purcellville, is a family-owned organic distillery known for producing award-winning whiskey, gin, and brandy. Since its establishment in 2009, the distillery has been committed to sourcing organic and environmentally sustainable ingredients to create high-quality spirits. Visitors can enjoy tastings of their signature spirits, including Roundstone Rye 80 proof whiskey and gin cocktails.
We started to have interest in American whisky so we searched the internet and found Catoctin Creek distillery Their website is very user friendly, easy to navigate and we booked the free tour. The staff confirmed the appointment immediately and also emailed reminder if the date. The distillery is small, very cozy atmosphere at the main room. We were given the tour by Santiago who is very nice, very knowledgeable and attentive when serving us the flights, the price here is super reasonable, $12.50 for the signature flight including 3 different whisky and you can substitute as well We also learned that they have workshop once in a while (just check their website for the dates) where you can bottle the whisky and personalize with your name on it. We enjoyed so much that we ended up purchasing their BEYOND BOURBON t-shirts and a few bottles to take home, we all particularly love the Hot Honey Rye whisky! Highly recommend to visit, take a tour and taste their fabulous whisky! We will come back to participate in the workshop!!!
Queen C — Google review
I went to the bottling workshop here and it was brilliant! They started with a tour and a whisky history lesson that was well worth the time. Then we bottled up a barrel of whisky (about a dozen of us) working on the production line. I had a blast and recommend that everyone who likes whisky give this place a visit. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable.

Loved the tasting room and overall incredible tour of the distillery. One of the best distilleries I have been to. Can’t miss stop for a weekend in the Leesburg area.

What a cool place! Do the tour and tasting - it’s a fun experience. The staff is so enjoyable and you can tell how much they like what they do. Drinks, whiskey, and gin are all great too - brought two bottles home with us!

Took a tour and tasting here and had such a great time! I got to learn how they make their whiskey, gin, and brandy—from start to finish. The staff was absolutely amazing—super helpful, kind, and genuinely welcoming. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. Take the tour, do a tasting, and try their fantastic whiskeys, gins, and brandy. Huge thanks to the team for such a memorable experience!"
Tom B — Google review
Terrific experience from the tour to the tasting. Our tour guide - I'm sorry I cannot remember his name - was excellent. He was polite, informative, gave us a brief history of the distillery, and explained the differences among the three types of alcohol Catoctin Creek produces. I highly recommend - even if you're not a spirit aficionado - that you visit for the history of the distillery if and for a taste of Purcellville VA! Thanks again! SJ

Great fun on father day weekend! Excellent helpful staff, making fantastic rye whiskey. We participated in the Catoctin Creek Distilling Company Bottling Workshops. We got to learn how to bottle, cap, seal, and label Roundstone Rye. I got to operate the "whisky cow", and "Ninette", the fancy French labeling machine! My family made bottles of whiskey for my father's day! There was a light breakfast, an outstanding tour from Scott, the bottling workshop activity, and a free tasting of various products at the end. Highly recommend!
Steven H — Google review
A distillery with a unique history that you can learn about on the distillery tour. Point of advice, though: eat before coming here. Whiskeys were good, but slightly one-note. Perhaps it was just the day I visited, but my experience was diminished by an off-putting sewage smell. Still, worth a visit.

Belly Love Brewing Company, located in the Shoppes at Main & Maple, is a popular taproom known for its quirky attitude and inventive beers overseen by owner Tolga Baki. The brewery offers a variety of regular and seasonal beers with wacky names, mostly ales with gluten-removed options. Visitors can enjoy their eclectic indoor seating or relax on the small outdoor patio.
My husband myself and my daughter went to eleven eleven brewing all the way from Pennsylvania. The name itself intrigued me. The food was amazing, portions were large and the price was wonderful. The selection of beers was exceptional, with something for every palate. I highly recommend trying their 50 shades of gold which was perfectly balanced and had a unique flavor profile that left me wanting more. Each brew was crafted with precision, showcasing the incredible talent and passion behind every batch. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners Marianne and Matt. Such wonderful hardworking people who were helping their staff behind the bar and by taking orders and serving food. You could tell how happy and proud they are of their establishment. Overall, Eleven Eleven Brewing offers a perfect blend of amazing beer, great ambiance, and top-notch customer service. Whether you’re a beer enthusiast or just looking for a place to relax, this is a must-visit!

We stopped in while hitting a lot of the local breweries. Belly Love has a great location. It's in a small area of shops and is surprisingly large inside. I liked the ambience of the place. The bartender was friendly. The beer was decent. We ordered a flight so we could try a bit of the menu. We didn't have any food but what we saw looked good. It's a pleasant place to spend an afternoon.

Great little brewery! Stopped in randomly to check the place out cause I've heard about it from family members in the area. Turns out this place was really nice. The beer was very refreshing but they didn't have many options to choose from. They offer a couple of different food choices, like flat bread pizza and a pretzel but it's not somewhere you could have a meal. The interior is really nice and very clean with plenty of seating. They also offer outside seating where you can watch the walking shopping center. All in all this place was pretty decent and we really enjoyed it.

Off-beat in the best of ways. IPA folks can look forward to 104 IBU “Flying Unicorn Crotch Kick,” jalapeño peach “Resting Peach Face” with a salted rim for parrot heads and “Narcissist” for the purists with a cultured palette.

Beer was delicious but also the hospitality was absolutely amazing I felt like I was a real customer here and they connected with me and talk to me about what I like and let me find exactly what was needed and I ended up with the fifty shades of Gold Belgian ale, come check this place out ⭐✌️👍

We dropped in on Belly Love on a whim after seeing a sign on the roadside. Immediately we were well attended by Dom , one of the employees there. He walked us through their offerings and was a real pleasure to work with. I tried their new double IPA that they had just released the day before and it was excellent. We also ordered their jumbo pretzel to compliment the beer. All good. The atmosphere was good and there was a steady flow of customers while we were there. We felt that they did a very good job of paying attention to their customers. I would definitely go there again.
Chris H — Google review
I love this place because the owners and managers are very involved and are friendly, approachable, and involved in the local community. I appreciate the cider selection as most local breweries overlook offering solid options for GF clients that don't taste like grape juice. The cider selections of Henway and Corcoran are excellent and highlight some of the better local cideries in Virginia. They offer a really good, well-rounded variety of beers - which means if you're in a group there is something for everyone. I would absolutely recommend Belly Love to anyone. They also have an incredible trivia night on Thursdays. Make sure to come early or you may not get a seat- it's that popular! If you're into collecting Brewery t-shirts, they have some amazing graphic art designs you'll want to add to your collection.

I like to come here after college classes and long shifts. The food is always fantastic and the employees are welcoming. One of my favorite places to stop by when I just need a bit of comfort food. I highly recommend trying the fried tofu.

Stopped here on the way to DC. Took a picture of the drunken noodles after I ate half of it! Definitely one of the best Thai places I have been. Food is amazing, service is amazing. We got the drunken noodles with tofu and chicken pad Thai and shrimp tempura. Really really good portion sizes and great prices. 10/10 recommend.
Cat C — Google review
Food was good though due to the uniformity of the chicken, beef and even the ginger sticks makes me think that they buy everything presliced and prepared and they are assembling the pieces into the meal versus doing the work by hand. I support the concept of sourcing out the prep work but in this circumstance it makes it feel less authentic. Food tasted good.

Honestly, Great food! I mean Amazing food! whichever is greater in compliment, that is what I recommend, zesty and fresh. I thought the servers were well versed on the menu and could explain to me what all the items were. Atmosphere is quite comfortable modern small-town urban café feel.

I love this place, I have become some what of a regular, every time I come in I’m met with a friendly smile and quick service, they are so so nice, and the sushi is soooo very good. McDonald's is a classic fast-food chain that has stood the test of time, renowned for its iconic burgers and crispy fries. Among countless dining options, this particular location shines as a favorite for many patrons. The staff here are exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that your experience is enjoyable from start to finish. Cleanliness is clearly a priority at this McDonald's, making it one of the tidiest establishments in the area.
This was the cleanest McDonald’s I have ever been to. The staff was the best I have ever seen, we had our drinks refilled and our food delivered to our table. Our food was delicious also.
Barbara T — Google review
They won't take your order in person here. They make you use an electronic ordering system that is very laggy and clunky. Or possibly they discriminate against people based on their race. My wife is Latina coming they wouldn't help her make her order. While we ate our dinner, they were on their cell phones. It's not like they were too busy to help.
David S — Google review
This McDonalds is the most well run one I’ve over been in. Kudos to the manger for her efficient way of running the place smoothly. The blueberry pie is amazing.
Stacy S — Google review
One of my favorites it their bk burritos buy stopped ordering them because I found a long hair in my burrito.. I love their ice cream cones but they pre serve them so bye the time I get to the window it's melting and sometimes the cone is broken.
Helen W — Google review
I politely told one of the workers that the drive through screens weren't working, but she ignored me and asked me what to order. I hesitated for a couple seconds because I wasn't sure if she heard me. She then told me she wouldn't serve me. My friend ordered instead so we eventually got the food, but when I again (politely) tried to clarify at the window what I was saying, she gave me a glare and said she knew but refused service because I didn't give the order quickly enough (even though I only paused for a few seconds and they weren't busy). I don't usually leave bad reviews but I just felt like the service was extremely rude in this case and I won't be giving them business.
Joshua M — Google review
The app and Google store hours claim that the drive-through is open until 4 am but if you go there after 2 am most of the time they will simply refuse to serve you. The past 3 times I have went there they claim that the system is down even though I always place a mobile order ahead of time (paid for through the app) and it always goes through. If McDonald's Corporate sent a secret shopper out here at night, they would have a field day. Don't waste your time here, just go to one of the Leesburg locations where the staff is actually locked in.
Joshua D — Google review
I come here for work often and every time I come I have to be pulled up. the last time I was here I was pulled up and after waiting for 10 minutes I had to walk in and grab my food that was just sitting on the counter. Today I asked how long it would take and the rude lady at the window told me she didn’t know and to just pull up.
Nathan Y — Google review
I was there today getting my usual small water and small coffee. I used the kiosk which I think is so convenient. Nereda and Crystal are always so professional and friendly. American restaurant
Smokin Willy is a family-friendly restaurant that offers American classics and barbecue dishes, along with a selection of beers on tap and wines. While the establishment started as a food truck, its brick-and-mortar location in Purcellville Center provides a cozy atmosphere with wood floors, rustic walls, and a dimly lit corner bar. The menu features traditional American fare, but the real draw is the quality BBQ meats fresh from the smoker.
The only place we wanted to go for Father’s Day — and it did not disappoint! Smokin Willie's hits a home run every single time, no matter what you order. The meat is smoked to perfection, the sides are legit, and the whole experience just feels like home. If you're looking for real BBQ in Virginia, this is it.

Nice little restaurant with fun decor. The food was good: My wife gave her lunch a 7/10; I say 8/10 for mine. Good service, too. Be aware that in Purcellville restaurants you’re going to pay 11% tax. That’s CRAZY! When the server gave me the bill, I said that’s over 10% tax. She had no idea, because the 5% meals tax isn’t printed on the receipt! She had to ask management what the deal was. Anyways, we all pay the Va 6% tax, but an additional 5%? No thanks. I did give the server my usual 20% tip, but next time I’ll let the residents pay that tax! (I didn’t vote for it, and it benefits me zero)

Have been here a few times, food is usually pretty good. Only problem is that sometimes they are out of certain foods or desserts. I haven’t been to many restaurants where they are always out of something. This has happen twice that that I have been here. I will of course return here and I do recommend you try it. The banana pudding is and the brownie Sunday is the best, never had the cheesecake and the root beer float is just something I can make at home. The ribs were great I would definitely get them again.

Everything was alright. Only comment is the Brisket servings could be a bit bigger or more clearly explained. This is the "full platter" serving. Looks like they do 5 slices which if that's the case id prefer not the end piece that's a quarter of the size and dried out to count against the total. Ribs while good also were mostly bone, not alot of meat. I could be wrong in how they total it out in which case ill update this
Levi H — Google review
Man, this brisket was dry as bone, what are you doing back there? Sides were good, charro beans were recommended and tasted great, same with the collard greens and crab dip as well. Loved the homemade chips. Im mainly annoyed i was pressured into ordering brisket to go order before i had seen it was actually dry and not moist like older reviews had stated. After mentioning i may be interested i was given the menu and told i should order it ASAP so it would be ready for me at end of meal but it was brought to the table in like 5 minutes. Cool interior but it aint gonna bring me back, hope others enjoy it i guess. Dont order the brisket.

Smokin Willys catered my wedding in June and I can’t recommend enough. They were flexible and helped us figure out exactly what we wanted. They not only catered, but helped us plan the meal/set-up and provided bartenders, linens, and an event captain that helped keep everything running smoothly the day of (so we could actually just enjoy the day!!). Also… the food was delicious!!!! You can’t go wrong

I'm not celiac, but I'm gluten, dairy and soy free. They had a gluten friendly menu and the waitress was knowledgeable about the allergens in the food, bit she did offer me blue cheese/ranch dressing. They were able to accommodate and I had the wings with the BBQ sauce as well as roasted vegetables. I've had no stomach issues after my meal. Bathrooms were pretty clean and they had a changing table in the women's bathroom.
