Beaches
Manatee Public Beach, located on Anna Maria Island at the end of Manatee Avenue, is a popular destination known for its wide and immaculate silky white sand and clear emerald green water. The beach offers various amenities such as picnic tables, grills, bike racks, restrooms, showers, and more. It is wheelchair accessible with lifeguards on duty and plenty of public facilities.
What a beautiful beach! We drove all the way to Bean Point Beach and stopped in here on the way back home, what a nice surprise! They have a nice little playground for the kids and have a few volleyball courts set up, which are close to the showers and enclosed changing stations. The sand is perfect and doesn't contain all the shells like Lido Beach does. We were very impressed!

A great place for a fun beach day. There's tons of beach space, even some under trees for maximum shade. That area also has picnic tables and grills. The parking fills up pretty fast so you should arrive no later than 10 for a good spot. The water was clean and clear and the sand was nice and white with some spots filled with shells.
Kate M — Google review
A chilly day, but lots of sunshine. You may want to pack snacks or a lunch with drinks. Nice gift shop and playground for the kiddos. Food and drinks available for purchase, but let's just say...$8 is a lot of money for a grilled cheese sandwich. Beach was clean and not crowded during Off Season. (November 2025)
Angie T — Google review
Wonderful beach, water incredibly clear and warm, sugar white sand, showers and changing rooms for visitors. There are no public restrooms but instead they set 3 or 4 porta potties near the parking lot. Gross… The restaurant at the Beach is handy if you don’t want to leave the area for lunch, but the food wasn’t good. Our Philly steaks came burned and the fries soggy. The playground is adorable and has lots of swings for the little ones. They also have volleyball nets. The natural beauty of the area is worth the visit.

WORTH THE DRIVE! Our favorite Florida beach! Better than anywhere along St. Pete or Clearwater. We swam for two hours and had lunch at the cafe. We had beef & chicken tacos, burgers, and the fish & chips and loved it all.
Angelica M — Google review
Beautiful beach with white fluffy sand!! Has a little playground for kids and a bar/restaurant with covered outdoor seating on the beach with music playing!! Could definitely hang out here!! Would probably be a beautiful area to watch a sunset too!!

A little crowded but super clean in comparison. Soft sands and good energy. We spent a few hours there and had a lot of fun!

Definitely a place you want to visit when you're at holmes beach. The drinks are wonderful and the food was great. They have live music, and the ocean views are fantastic. A great place to go, have drinks and enjoy the ocean views.

Fun & casual place to eat or drink and have a wonderful beach view. Pet friendly as I brought Lucy & Ethel in their stroller. Building looks like a large tiki hut, open air. Lots of TVs to watch any game. Very friendly staff. Nice beer options.

The views and drinks are AMAZING!!! The food is just okay... I ordered the chorizo egg meal, it was mid... The Miami Vice was sooo good!!! I used to order a seafood omelet tea and I didn't see it on the menu..

very disappointing. It’s hard to ruin breakfast on the beach on a beautiful day but Gulf Drive Cafe managed to succeed in that task. Allow me to start by saying that they don’t offer water at a restaurant on the beach without having to pay? diabolical. I got a cup of ice instead of being charged for another drink and she still tried to charge me for water on my bill. in addition to that, their food was extremely over priced. Which for a touristy area, that is understandable. However with those prices it should at least be good food. In our party of 12, only one person was satisfied with the taste of their food and she got a salad so i shouldn’t go this whole review without applauding them for putting lettuce in a bowl. My biscuit was raw on the inside (which was also recommended as one of the better side options by the staff member). My friend ordered pancakes and even after multiple requests (and 30 minutes) she didn’t bring syrup so she ate her pancake dry and then was given syrup when she finished her whole meal (this was also after a very long wait for all of our coffee and food). I can give two stars for the location and atmosphere but there are plenty of other better options you can go to on the water!

The crab cakes are awesome. Cailyn was awesome and attentive. I loved being able to enjoy the beach and the gulf without actually having to venture out onto sand at any point.

Beach House Waterfront Restaurant is a popular beachfront establishment known for its seafood and island-inspired dishes, as well as its deck seating. The restaurant prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients and offers a full bar with an excellent outside bar that provides ocean views. Renovated in 2017, the restaurant aims to be environmentally conscious while providing a welcoming and comfortable dining experience. It has become a favorite spot for both locals and visitors, offering casual waterfront dining at its best.
Stopped in at Beach House on Anna Maria Island and had a great experience! The drinks were excellent, the service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere made for a really enjoyable evening. We liked that you can sit either inside or outside, depending on the vibe you’re going for. Even with the August crowds, we had no problem getting dinner around 6, which was a pleasant surprise. Would definitely go back again!

The Beach House has come back better than ever after Milton. There are no visible scars left from the hurricane. We celebrated my husband’s birthday there recently and it was perfect. We had a front row view of the beach and Gulf and the sunset, ate with our toes in the sand and had a great server, Cam, who was very good with menu suggestions. We started with a couple nice drinks. I had the Paloma and my husband had an Old Fashion. We split a bowl of clam chowder which was very good. My husband had the Lobster Ravioli and I had the Mahi special which was coated with a coconut crust similar to coconut shrimp. Mine was very good but my husband’s Ravioli won the taste contest. Wow! We even got a full-size free dessert. My husband picked the Key Lime Pie and it was delicious. As I said earlier, it was perfect. The Beach House remains as one of our favorite beach-front restaurants to go to.

Stopped in on a Wednesday for an early dinner with a friend after sitting on the beach for a few hours. It may have been around 4:00 ish so the dinner crowd hadn't arrived yet. We sat out on the back patio in the sand overlooking the beach. The sun and water views were amazing! It took quite a bit of time for our waitress to come greet us which I thought was odd because the restaurant wasnt that busy. Once she did, the service was fine. I ordered the Farm Salad with grilled salmon and it was spectacular! It was so tasty and it was the biggest piece of salmon I think I have ever gotten out. It was cooked perfectly. My friend had the Grouper Tacos and said that they were excellent as well. I would highly recommend the Beach House! Prices are on the high side, but then again you are paying for the location and water views while dining. Definitely worth it!

The views, drinks, food and vibes were all on point. If you are looking for a lunch that hits all of these this is it! Will absolutely come back and the fish and chips was delicious. Service was great and so were our cocktails. Amazing ocean front outdoor dining.

We had an awesome dinner at Beach House on Longboat Key! I got the coconut mahi mahi—hands down one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had. My wife went with the grouper tacos and loved every bite. The old fashioned was perfect too. Great food, great service, and a killer sunset view. We’ll definitely be back!
Vince S — Google review
We had a nice dinner with friends. Our server was one of the nicest (and good) that we have experienced in quite awhile. The stuffed grouper was my wife’s best meal so far this trip.

The food was absolutely amazing! The view is fabulous as well and the service was on point! I 100% recommend the coconut shrimp and the coconut crusted mahi mahi, both were great with the pina colada sauce. The mahi mahi was such a large helping we could have shared it!
Angie R — Google review
I would give this 10 Stars if I could! Everyone at our table said their meal was some of the best they've ever had. We have the shrimp platter, crab cakes, fish and chips, and chicken Florentine and they were superb. Even the kids chicken fingers were tender and grape flavor. Plus you can't beat the view! We will absolutely be back again

Cortez Beach, also known as Bradenton Beach, is a serene and unspoiled spot located on Anna Maria Island. The beach offers soft white sands, rolling dunes with sparse vegetation, and shady trees overlooking the expansive coastline. Originally connected to the Village of Cortez by the Cortez Bridge, this area is now famous for its wooden boardwalk, fishing pier, and lifeguarded swimming areas.
What a spectacular sunset and vibe. The water was so warm. It is a must visit. The quaint litter town near by is full of wonderful night life and food and atmosphere. Just what we needed.

It is said that the east coast of Florida sees the sunrise and the west coast of the sunset. It’s really beautiful. Although there are some clouds today. The sand here is very thick, and the shells are broken a lot. The parking fee is ten dollars per hour. It‘s quite expensive.

Tony and I shared our "Last Day" at the Beach at Cortez Beach on Anna Maria Island. The waves were very high today and strong. Much stronger than rest of week! The sand was wet like "Sand Castle making" feel to it! The water was clear but there was a lot of seaweed rolling in! We had a nice 2.5 hrs Going to miss this area but we Def have a new place to venture too! Cortez has lifeguards no drinking no pets no smoking rules it also hasno bathrooms no showers or changing rooms! But it does have free parking! Lots of shells!

Cortez Beach is absolutely beautiful—clean, peaceful, and a great spot to enjoy the ocean. The water and sand were gorgeous, and the overall atmosphere made for a relaxing day. The only downside was the parking, which was a bit expensive. Other than that, it’s a wonderful beach to visit and worth the trip!

Nice beach the piers are great for fishing while the kids are in the water it's not as crowded as Coquina you do have to go further down for showeres or bathrooms but you won't get stuck in traffic as bad park is ok depending on the day but most of the time I go it's not crowded

Beautiful water!! Beach is small. Nice piers, for fishing off, or jumping. Barnacles and other sea life live underneath. Tiny sea snails, pencil fish, and crabs!’ You can catch so many. I had a great experience at this beach. We had to drive down to another to use showers and restrooms though.

Wicked Cantina is a laid-back restaurant with Mexican food that's popular with Austinites. They offer margaritas and tacos which are some of the best in town. The Gulf View patio is perfect for enjoying a meal or drinks waterfront.
Great breakfast with a Gulfview. It is one of the best places for breakfast on AMI. The bloody mary uses a nice mix that compliments the Mexican dishes. Their margaritas are just alcohol and lime juice, nothing artificial. Lunch and dinners are also great. Just a great restaurant!
Joseph M — Google review
Started with a house margarita-well done, although a bit small :). Took about 45 minutes to get a table (inside), so we hung out at the (small) bar. When seated, we had a great waiter. Fast, very fast service for our food - literally just minutes after ordering! The menu is great, the food was hot and good! Well worth a visit if you are in the mood for Mexican!
John ( — Google review
Free chips and salsa, as is standard with many Mexican restaurants. Cowboy Brisket Bowl was good and hearty. Cheese quesadilla was typical, but good. Food came out super fast. Service was very good. Inside seating was a bit noisy. Outside seating is available, though near the road. It appeared that there was to be entertainment setting up when we left. All in all we would go back on a future visit. We did not order any drinks. I couldn't tell wether or not if they have any NA beers. We could have inquired but didn't need any on this visit.
Cathy S — Google review
Who doesn’t love a great Mexican restaurant! I always try something new. Every item is delicious and worth trying. The chips and salsa are my favorite. The Service above and beyond and well the view is the only pictures I take. These videos are from separate visits! I love to frequent for obvious reasons. ✌🏼❤️🌊☀️
Liz C — Google review
It is about what you expect from almost every baseline-mediocre Mexican restaurant throughout the U.S. The food was average. The waitress checked on us twice (once being the delivery of the food) in over an hour. Parking is limited as well as the interior seating. The food prices were high. The highlight of the experience was the breeze from the ocean. I don't recommend this spot.
Matt K — Google review
Gone way downhill. We use to love it here. We got forgotten about and were waiting forever (about an hour so so when being told 35 minutes) until I spoke up and asked how many more before we were going to get called, they didn't even have our name on their list even though we got the text when we put our name in. We had to ask for silverware. Then they forgot to assign us a server, so even after being forgotten about we sat there for another 15 minutes without a server. Ordered a kids meal and was told there would be an up charge for the chicken on a kids quesadilla. I didn't know it was going to be a dollar less than the kids meal cost. 7 dollars for chicken on a kids quesadilla when the entire kids meal is 8 dollars. Making the kids meal 15 dollars, I would have just got her the adult portion. Unfortunately this was a huge disappointment. Not sure we'll be back or recommend any friends or family to come here anymore. Edit: posted the receipt to show being charged 6.95 not 5.25 for chicken. But again if I had been told it was going to cost almost the price of the meal I'd have ordered an adult portion to make it worth the price.
Kristy K — Google review
Went for a date. I pass this place all the time. This is not just a bar - great food! And nearly beachfront with the view! Love music we sat outdoors. Doubled the grouper tacos. And quesso is sooooo good! And you can judge a place by the chips and salsa. Everything finished !

3 of us came here to grab a light lunch on the beach. They have a really nice setup with alot of tables under a pavilion and umbrellas to give you nice shade. We ordered just a bunch of appetizers to eat. The coconut shrimp, grouper bites, chips and dip, and calamari. I have to say all was cooked excellent and really nice sized portions. You could tell the seafood was fresh and I highly recommend the grouper bites. The service was fast and enjoyable. After you can walk some of the most beautiful beaches in the gulf or check out Anna Marie Island. They do have a giant selection of specialty drinks and beers as well
Wayne M — Google review
My sister and I have been going here for years. And the quality of the food has gone downhill. All 3 of us ordered the beer, battered fish and chips it is not beer battered it came with a flour slurry. they came looking like some fish fingers off of a child's menu. The fish was overcooked like eating jerky and so greasy i had to use all the napkins to sop up the greese. None of our dishes came on the same shape of plate, nor did they come with the same portion sizes. You cannot get a glass of water which I believe is illegal in florida. Legally they have to give you a glass of water however at this restaurant they make you pay for a cheap walmart brand bottle of water the same price as you would a soda. Now I have to say our server was Great He did go ask as many questions as were needed and when we needed the manager, he did actually go get the manager. I gave service, only three stars because the manager did not stand up to a level above that. The manager came to the table and apologized for the fish and said once he saw it, come back, they switched the fish for the weekend. They did send out 1 plate of the better fish however it was after waiting a good 45min. The manager said he would send a desert to make up for it. I'm sorry, sir.I have been in the service industry for many years and a dessert does not make up for somebody's dinner. This restaurant has been removed from our list of places to eat. Yes, they have a great view to watch the sunset and have dinner. But folks, there are a lot of places on the island you can see the same sunset from a place that serves good food, gives you water and cares to actually take care of somebody's meal properly rather than offering a dessert to make up for it. In the picture you can see the top piece is the first fish stick the bottom it the new fish sent out

We went with friends, and I can tell you that the food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was phenomenal. The waitress who served us was always attentive to our needs. If you want a place near the sea to eat and also enjoy a sunset, I definitely recommend it.
Jaisely S — Google review
Nice location right on the beach, but I should have listened to the other reviews. Plus it being pretty much empty on a Friday night should have told me that maybe it’s not the best restaurant. This is a photo of my $25 fish and chip meal. It looks more like a kids meal. Each can of soda was $4. The only water they have is bottled water for $2 a bottle. For five people after 20% tip, our bill was $160 that included one kids meal, two fish and chips, one burger, and one chicken sandwich. I don’t have a problem paying money for a good meal, but the food was definitely not worth the price. When I arrived, I let the hostess know it would be five people and asked for a kids menu. With attitude she snapped back that ‘kids menus are for 12 and under’. As my 12-year-old stood right next to me. Our waitress was extremely nice. That is the only thing we got lucky with at this restaurant. You also cannot split a tab. I would never recommend this restaurant.
Mara K — Google review
I got the chicken sandwich and fries. But way to expensive!! Lower the price and it would be way better! Lemonade is ok. I think the view is the best part of it. Wasn't crowded didn't have to wait. They also have one single stall for the bathroom. I just had to wash my hands. Maybe u guys can make just a separate sink for that?

The facilities, views, and service are excellent. The food and cocktails are delicious, though the prices are a bit on the higher side. Still, the overall experience is absolutely worth it—live music, the beach, the sea. I love this place, and we’ll definitely come back whenever we can.

Amazing beach!! Delicious breakfast on Manatee Beach at the Anna Maria Island Beach Cafe! We arrived at 9:15 am on a Sunday and got one of the last parking spots. Must arrive early on the weekend. Excellent breakfast with a million dollar view! The Belgian Waffle was delicious! After breakfast we sat on the beach for a few hours then went up and had some drinks at the bar and sat in the shade. If you’re at this beach, this is great! Good food, reasonably priced and fast. The fries were not super great. Burger was really good for $9.00. They have a bar and ice cream! So convenience is upmost. I’d recommend this place because it’s fun, decent and you don’t need to get in the car, lose your spot, sweat, etc. It’s surprisingly good.

Breakfast was very good, menu had a lot of options. We had some go for the "all you can eat" pancakes 🥞 that comes with sausage patties the first go round, biscuits and gravy with bacon, waffle with strawberries and whipped cream and even French toast... there were no complaints for any of it, everyone left with full bellies! Food came out quickly as well! Will be going back again during our stay!

I’ve been to the beach café three times since I’ve been here for the week and it was great. I loved having close access to bathrooms from the beach. Great service. The chair and umbrella guy brings your stuff to your spot and sets it up for you. I wasn’t impressed with the food besides the fish and chips, which are pollock, and the all you can eat pancakes. Very tasty. I also had a delicious mimosa and “lava flow” beverage made with rum. And came with a refillable cup at a discounted price.

Pizza restaurant
Oma's Pizza and Italian Restaurant is a delightful gem located just across from the stunning Gulf of Mexico, making it an ideal stop for those seeking a hearty Italian meal after a day of sun and surf. This charming eatery specializes in hand-tossed and Sicilian-crust pizzas, alongside mouthwatering calzones and classic Italian dishes served in generous portions.
We stumbled upon this hidden gem by chance. Our original intention was to dine at another pizza restaurant, but we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent cuisine at this establishment. The Sicilian pizza was a highlight, and the antipasto salad was a refreshing accompaniment. The shrimp scampi entree, despite consisting of only five shrimps, turned out to be a satisfying portion due to their generous size. Unfortunately, we were too eager to savor the dish and forgot to take a picture before we stated earing. Definitely going back!

I loved it! Very clean, very good atmosphere, and the service was great! We had a margarita pizza and a plain cheese! It was delicious too. I also had a lemonade. I highly recommend!! 🤍

This is a great local restaurant down to Mid-town in Anna Maria Island. We ordered pizza( newyork style) , alfredo fettuccine, and salads. The cheese on pasta was fresh. The pizza was decent. The best of all was Minestrone soup. The veggies, beans, and pasta in the soup were delicious. Would definitely visit when we are in town next.

What a great dining experience! Kendy was our server and she was on top of it. Prices are in line with the portion size. We have lots of leftovers! Restaurant was nice and quiet. Friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

After a 9 hour drive to AMI, we decided first nights dinner would be pizza. We called our order in, picked it up, and thoroughly enjoyed the white pizza, a cheese pizza, and a caprese salad. Delicious!

Oma's will always be a staple on our visits to the island. Their Calzone is delicious and easily feeds 3 people. I will say, read the menu thoroughly as the antipasta salad was not what we expected BUT that was our fault, not theirs.

Sad to say, it’s taken us this long to visit this Bradenton Beach landmark. Kind of a dreary Saturday night weather wise but that didn’t stop this place from being packed. The staff was friendly and efficient and got us right in to be seated. Pizza toppings were fresh, the pie was hot and flavorful. It’s was outstanding. While we scored with a great spot, the parking situation is a little limiting. Having said that, persevere if you can’t find a spot and walk a little if you have to; their pizza is worth it. If you are visiting on vacation, make sure this place makes it on the list to eat at.

We split an order of Lasagna and a Calzone which were both good. I liked the Lasagna best as I thought the Calzone could have used some more sausage. Our waiter was great and was very helpful...the downside was having to hear another waitress bickering and complaining about every little thing going on...customers don't want to hear that.

Located in a former doctor's office, The Doctor's Office is not your typical medical establishment. Situated in downtown Holmes Beach, this hip bar offers an upscale casual dining experience with a wide selection of craft cocktails and delectable light bites. Despite its name, it's a popular spot for visitors seeking a memorable night out on Anna Maria Island.
Had a wonderful dinner and drinks in the garden. Party of 5 and we all agreed it was the best dinner of the week. We also went to Shore and loved our meal but this was our favorite. We will definitely be going back on our next trip to AMI. Favorites were the grouper with key lime caper butter sauce and the short ribs. They were both specials and amazing! Drinks were tasty and the atmosphere was so enjoyable with the music, plants, flowers and decor. Highly recommend!!

Hands down the best restaurant on AMI or LBK! Foodies go to the doctor!! From the ambiance, the service & of course the food, the drinks, clean crisp linens - all off the charts!! A touch of New Orleans blended with the coast! A truly unique experience. We ate on the DR side (there's a bar side too) and were welcomed w/friendly staff and warm ambiance. As we sat down, we were given a medicine shot :) of a delicious concoction of fresh fruit juices & vodka served in vintage tea cups! Fun and quirky - love! We had a pain killer and the pineapple martini - very delicious! Started with the lobsterescargot and the smoked salmon. Both dishes were served with fresh bread baked on the premises. Outstanding! For our entrees, we both had the grouper and it was best grouper dish we have ever had! Beautifully prepared, seared to perfection, accompanied with asparagus and mashed potatoes, perfectly seasoned - truly perfection! For desert, we shared the Praline Alexander - a softball size serving of the best vanilla bean ice-cream Ive ever tasted, surrounded in crushed praline, topped with whipped cream n sliced almonds in Frangelica. Superb! My hubby ordered an after dinner drink & gave the bartender creative freedom to concoct a drink with rum and coffee. Never expecting a cold drink with infused smoked cinnamon, smoked dried orange slice, served with a proper craft drink ice cube. Cannot say enough about The Doctors Office! A treasure on AMI. Cant wait to go back!

Erin was amazing! Had a great sangria, pineapple martini, and sundowner. The Lobstercargots are a MUST. Great music/ atmosphere. We were also greater with a fun free shot. Just what the Doctor ordered!

Visited here for the first time this past weekend and it was amazing. The drinks were delicious but our server was OUTSTANDING. She was hilarious and attentive. I wish I remembered her name but she was amazing. It’s a small bar but I loved that, it’s very intimate.

We stopped by the Doctor's Office on date night while on vacation just for one drink. We were greeting by the bartender with a "wellness shot" of a little sample drink. The Drinks we ordered were beautiful and tastey! The bartenders are friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. The atmosphere was fun and fancy. Perfect place to start off our date night. I forgot to get the picture until we were half way through the drinks. I should also note that the drinks are expensive. Be ready to spend some money. Gratuity is included in the bill.

The food was exquisite and truly some of the best I've eaten in Sarasota/Bradenton/Anna Maria island. Michelle, the server, was excellent. Very helpful, friendly and provided excellent customer service-truly a gem. Can not recommend Drs Office highly enough.

Impressed. Family party of 13- great outdoor scenery on the beach for photos while waited to be seated (arrived around 5-5:30pm). The food was exceptional. Every meal was well prepared, tasted amazing, and served within good time. What made our experience most exceptional was our waitress Nicole. We hardly needed to ask her for anything and was consistently attentive to our dining experience. We’ll be back again 👌

Overall good experience. I had the roasted beet salad , one of my favorite salads ever. My husband had the lobster roll. A bit pricey (over $30) but he loved it. We shared a peel and eat shrimp platter. Drinks were good and view is nice. Summer months are hot (went beginning of August) they do have fans outdoors to keep air circulating. I do feel their pricing is a bit higher probably for being beachside.

We really enjoyed everything here. We ordered some drinks before we got to our reserved table on a Sunday. Our server Turah was very kind, friendly and prompt with everything! We ordered the crab and spinach dip which was excellent, cowboy shrimp which was extremely tasty and flavorful with the right amount of spice and the crab cake which was mouth watering delicious for appetizers. For dinner we got the lobster roll which was packed with lobster and very fresh tasting, chicken and waffles which was really good but not the biggest fan of the syrup, grouper filet which you can never go wrong with, blackened red snapper with a beurre Blanc sauce with crab which was soooo good and another crab cake. Overall, the food was well worth it, even though it was a little pricey. The service made the visit pleasant and the atmosphere is perfect right by the beach to watch the sunset. I'd come here again and again.

Every single dish we ordered was a hit—from the crispy potatoes and buttery shrimp to the perfectly blackened fish and ultra-fresh oysters. The sweet potato mash and roasted veggies? Chef’s kiss. You can tell the kitchen cares about quality and seasoning. On top of that, our server was friendly, attentive, and knew the menu inside out. Great food, great vibes, and even better service—we’ll definitely be back!

Great food and service. Best crab cake and crab & spinach dip in the area. Great atmosphere, chilled, not pretentious. Amazing sunset with the Pelicans and all sorts of gulls flying and fishing for our delight, and the courtesy of the dolphins jumping to say goodbye. The show continued with a stunning moonrise behind the Sandbar. What else 😎?

We’ve been to this restaurant a few times before it was sold to the new owners. Back then, it was really great — the food was delicious, the menu had plenty of options, and the atmosphere was beautiful with the sandy beach setting. Unfortunately, we visited again yesterday and were very disappointed. The quality of the food has gone downhill, and the prices are not worth it considering how disappointing the meal was. I ordered the red snapper and it was like rubber (fish is supposed to be flakey). My bf ordered the burger and fries which he wasn’t happy with. It’s such a shame to see that happen to a place that used to be one of my favorite spots to visit whenever I came out to Florida.
C J — Google review
The fresh grouper sandwich was excellent. Sat outside plenty of fans to keep us cool right on the beach beautiful view of the ocean. We had drinks. Swam for a while enjoyed our day.
Gee S — Google review
Totally redone after hurricanes. Highly recommend valet parking. Went early about 3pm deck, not open, but sat inside waited about 20 minutes. When left was seating on deck and their was almost hour wait. This restaurant is on the beach, great views, great sunsets, Meal was good but the veggies, you couldn't cut with a fork and hardly a knife. Service was awesome. Best meal was stuffed shrimp with crab. Blackened grouper ok. Did not like the veggies, very hard.

Run by husband and wife Shawn and Cecilia Wampole, this place offers a wide variety of donuts with toppings ranging from simple glazed to more exotic options like rainbow sprinkles and Oreo. Customers can enjoy the spectacle of their donuts being made right in front of them and personalize their pastries with their choice of toppings.
Swung into this nice little shop to try some donuts and grab some coffee before walking the beach. It was a great experience. The donuts are made fresh infront of you. The coffee is great. I would recommend the double shot espresso iced coffee! The ordering system for the donuts is pretty easy. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area

Such a special spot! 💕 As locals to the area, we get the chance to frequent here often. My boyfriend always convinces me to drive to the tip of the island to see the sunrise because he throws in that we will be stopping here for donuts and coffee. Immediate YES. The Waterfront Restaurant is a relaxed dining spot that offers a variety of global seafood dishes and features a beer and wine bar as well as outdoor seating by the beach. The restaurant aims to provide an escape to the laid-back, tropical charm of Anna Maria, Florida with its lush foliage, elegant micro-brew and wine bar, and open-air patio offering views of Tampa Bay.
While on vacation at Anna Maria Island, we chose this restaurant for dinner one night. There was about a 45-minute wait, but it was worth it. We were seated outside on the back patio, which had a really nice, relaxing atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious — everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Our waitress wasn’t particularly friendly, and it felt like our group of eight may have overwhelmed her a bit. Still, the overall experience was positive, and we’ll definitely be back the next time we visit Anna Maria Island.

Stopped here by luck while on a day trip while on vacation in Siesta Key and exploring the barrier Island. This place is a must. Delicious food, amazing views and wonderful & friendly team! I wish this place was close to my home, I would be a regular! My family of 5 all loved their food! Calamari, Lobster Bisque, Burger, Mac and Cheese, Grouper Taco and Desserts were all hits.

This was our first time and the food was delicious! We will be back! The lobster bisque was delicious. My sister and I both ordered salmon cakes with mashed potatoes and season veggies. Everything was delicious. Definitely a meal I would order again if it's on the menu.

I completely understand the popularity of this place now that I’ve had a chance to visit. I live near the island and this has been on my list of popular dining spots. Now I see the hype 😊 The esthetic appeal was the selling point. Relaxing, quiet with a calming ambiance! The best calamari I have ever eaten and I’m not a fan of this dish. Service was top notch. Highly recommended ✌🏼💛🌊☀️

We came in on a Saturday night. As expected on the island we had a wait which was fine. We ordered 3 Moscow mules and one rum and coke at the bar while we waited. The bill for the drinks was 70.00. There wasnt much sitting room at the bar but some wrap around bench sitting outside so we did that. After about an hour and 30 we got called and sat on their back patio area. They had plenty of fans to keep us all cool. The bread that was bought to the table was amazing!! We ordered fried green tomatoes which were very good and Brussels, thank goodness our waitress told us that for some reason when the Brussels come so do the flies, so just to be prepared, she was right!! But we managed okay. Once she took them away no more flies. I ordered the shrimp and grits, let me tell you it was the best I have ever eaten. The grit cake in the center and the sauce with plenty of sausage and shrimp, it was chefs kiss. My husband ordered the special which was I believe halibut and it was like butter. Great atmosphere and the waitress was very attentive. Definitely will be our go to place when we visit in the future.
Lisa W — Google review
The 1st thing we experienced was ordering our drinks and asking the waitress 20 minutes later where our cocktails were. She said that was a normal time due to it being a craft bar. (Ive never waited that long for drinks ever) We went during the week in August (8th) it wasn't that busy. The food was average and edible besides the brussel sprouts (avoid). Everything took so long that by the time we got our food it was almost closing time (went over an hour before closing) and we felt a bit rushed. The steak we ordered was supposed to be med rare but most of it was med well. So many other options on the beach to choose from. Quite dissapointed. Won't be returning. Dessert was good, we got that to go.
Matt G — Google review
We stopped in early for lunch to beat the crowd. Seating inside was full so we sat on the front porch overlooking the water. Even in the heat it was comfortable with all the fans they had. I ordered grouper tacos with pineapple coleslaw and it was excellent. The two tacos had large chunks of grouper and it was more than satisfying. My wife had thr BLT on a croissant severd with Neuskes bacon and plenty of it. The server was very attentive. There is also a large salt water fish tank inside so next time we'll try to sit inside. Prices were reasonable and the view was great. This place is worth the trip.

This place has a little something for everyone! The main trails are well maintained, but some of the side paths can be a bit less so. Regardless, the environment and variety of activities are second to none in the area. Just be warned, if you stay past sunset you will be chased out of the park.

Beautiful big park — great playground for kids of all ages (even adults!), awesome lookout tower, unique wildlife, a pretty long trail, and it’s not crowded even on a Saturday… perfect spot for a family adventure! Downsides… it’s a bit run down. Loose wires, rusty bolts, railings coming apart — clearly keeping this place in shape is not a priority... ...it’s sad how much trash people just leave lying around — empty cans, bottles, snack wrappers... like a weekend activists just rolled through the playground. Who does that? Dumping garbage where kids play… seriously, shame on them.

This place is one of my absolute favorites. It is so large and has a variety of landscapes. My favorite time to go is right before sunset to avoid the heat. There are restrooms and plenty of parking at the kayak drop off site. This is one of my favorite places to take people.

Very neat place for a walk! There are several parking lots and the one by the canopy building seems like the easiest way to get to the walk amongst the mangroves. We walked the long way and it was a nice gravel path with little shade. Got super hot quick! Bring water if you plan to spend a lot of time there. The canopy is SUPER cool. We had a great experience here! Views from the pier were already incredible especially at sunset and they seated us even though we were a bigger party closer to close which was appreciated. The food was delicious no one had any complaints! Our server Courtney was also really great!! Would 100% return.

The restaurant is at the end of a pier so you see water in every direction you look. Food was great, service was amazing! The place is very popular so expect it to be relatively busy but it was not loud. Parking is very limited and watch out for public parking lots! On a Sat night the fee is $15.00 per hour. It is worth it to drive around and walk a little bit to find free parking!!

Found this on Trip Advisor and then Google. Both had a lower score than I'd give. Beautiful Friday afternoon outside and great service from Sam. Even though we only ordered fried food, it was all delicious. The fried oysters were yummy with a nice batter coating. The fish in the Fish and Chips dish were not battered (my preference), but very tasty and abundant. Fries were good as well. $7 for a Coors Light aluminum. Loved the condiment container with attached lid--good for waterfront dining. Atmosphere outside is what brought us here but we were both pleasantly surprised with everything.

Normally when I eat out, I don’t finish my meal or I’m not totally satisfied—but this time, everything was divine! My uncle was cracking his usual jokes, and I appreciated how kind and unfazed our waitress was. I even asked everyone at the table to rate their meal from 1–10, and everyone said between a high 8 and a 10! The service was excellent—thank you so much, Jonah, for serving us. We’re so glad we had you!

Tonya was a great waitress. The deck off that pier is cool and makes for a great atmosphere. The boom boom shrimp was great. The shrimp, clams, fried fish and scallops were great. The fries are just ok. Hush puppies are great with honey and butter. Would def come back!

First impression was the menu has a wide variety of seafood dishes. The option to mix and match the selection of a dozen oysters was a very appealing feature. We ordered the tequila lime oysters, the grandmas, spinach Parmesan, and the chimichurri oysters. All…came…out…cold. We also ordered the peel and eat shrimp and the PEI mussels. Shrimp wasn’t deveined and very much over cooked/steamed and unseasoned. Mussels were overly steamed/cooked separately from the white wine sauce advertised being sautéed in with the mussels but appears to have just been poured over the mussels. Pictures show no sauce at all in mussels. Shrimp was reimbursed but we covered the tab for the mussels and oysters. My wife and I dine out quite a bit and we never do reviews but we also haven’t been this disappointed. Our Server could have been more assertive as well.
Thavone S — Google review
Food was good, service was great. We had the PEI mussels to start. Deelish! I had the fish tacos. My husband had the Tuna poke bowl. Sides for me was supposed to be squash/zucchini & coleslaw. I was served undercooked green beans mixed with overcooked green beans. Lol. It was fine. Atmosphere was great, right on the water. All in all, good for the price. Take the trolley, the parking is terrible! Luke was our server, very friendly and professional. Thank you!

With several locations around the area, this fast-casual eatery is known for its made-to-order tacos, bowls, and burritos.
We love this place! Almost hate to post a good review because we don’t want to share it, if you know what I mean… lol. Our favorite stop every trip. Best chips and salsa ever!

Great place to dine in — the food is tasty and the service is a solid 10/10. One suggestion: it would be helpful if the menu or staff were more specific about which dishes are spicy or heavily seasoned, to better guide guests’ choices. That said, I definitely recommend trying the burrito — it’s a must!

Was helped by Jacci, Hannah and Shana! They were very helpful with the menu and explanations and recommended us some veryy good things! Awesome service & good food!! Had the vegan tempeh and it was good too!

Poppo's never disappoints. The food is fresh, healthy, and always delicious. The staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable they're good. I appreciate they'll let you sample anything like the sauces. Always cool, too, they have healthy soda to drink. Sometimes the bathroom could be a little cleaner and the tables occasionally need to be wiped...that's only reason service got four stars. Eat here. It's great and never disappoints!

We will be back! Delicious food, friendly staff, and a nice place to enjoy a great meal. Can't wait to tell our friends and family to stop by Poppos to enjoy a taco or 2!

Loved this place! We got an Eds way quesadilla, carnitas bowl and burrito with chicken. The food easily beats Chipotle when it comes to flavor. The chips and salsa were homemade, unique and sooo good. The staff was friendly and easy to talk to. It was the perfect size for the area and really is a diamond in the right. 10/10 would come here again.

What a fantastic gem of a restaurant. Was visiting the island and saw great reviews so decided to try it out. The staff were fantastic and made great recommendations, which lived up to the hype. If we weren’t leaving so soon we would definitely be back for another round.

Met Hannah on our first night in town and she made us feel like we were regulars! Great service from Italia too. Every time we went we tried something different, and the staff were awesome, nice draft beer selection… prices are phenomenal… tortillas(flour and corn) made on the spot for your order. Poppo’s should not be missed when visiting AMI!

French restaurant
Mademoiselle Paris French Restaurant & Bakery is a charming establishment located in Anna Maria, offering a genuine taste of France. The restaurant boasts indoor seating as well as a tropical outdoor dining area, complete with palm trees and sand underfoot. The menu features an array of delectable options including savory and sweet crepes, tartines, sandwiches, escargots, bouillabaisse, steak frites and more.
Dining at Mademoiselle is not just about a meal, it’s an experience. From the moment you step in, it’s clear this is no chain restaurant. There’s an intimate, authentic charm in the air, underscored by a staff who are genuinely passionate about their craft. The culinary artistry shines through every course, with dishes that are thoughtful, beautifully presented, and deeply satisfying. The wine pairings were a standout feature (it was at a special dinner event). Each selection was impeccably matched to enhance the flavors of the food, and the accompanying wine education added an extra layer of appreciation to the experience. It was clear the team took great care to curate both the wine and the story behind it, elevating the dinner to something truly special. What sets Mademoiselle apart is the personal touch. You can feel the pride in the kitchen and the attention to detail in every interaction.

A quaint restaurant with an extremely relaxing environment. The food was fantastic. Decent sized portions for the cost. The coffee tasted like what you can envision from a coffee commercial. The staff were extremely friendly. The only issue was the limited size of parking. Come early and have a fantastic experience. I highly recommend!
Matt K — Google review
Cute little shop and the service was friendly, but we were not a fan of the food. It didn't taste fresh, and there was no fluff to the pancakes, they were extremely dense. The crepe was also very dense, both were hard and dry when trying to cut them. Maybe better for a pastry to go or a coffee.
Lindsay V — Google review
The seating arrangement indoors is quite cozy, though it can feel a bit close to other costumers. However, the outdoor patio offers a lovely setting to enjoy the sun and a gentle breeze. We thoroughly enjoyed our Croissant Benedict and coconut flan, both of which were delightful. The menu features a wide variety of sweet treats and solid French-style food options.

My girlfriends and I are here on vacation. We couldn’t wait to try the “Award winning” Paris restaurant. Service was very good. However, the food was definitely not worth the $ or our time. Walked all the way here from our hotel for the “hashbrowns” (just like McDonald’s)😠 one of my friends ordered the croissant and it tasted pretty good. Fruit was fresh with a good portion and variety. Pancakes were very dense and tasted like flour. Syrup served was “log cabin”.🤨 Sausage had no flavor at all. We were very disappointed. Will not return.
Jenny B — Google review
Good! Lots of drink options for brunch, coffee, alcoholic and otherwise. The croissant breakfast sandwich, crapes and omelets were all tasty. Our waiter was great, can’t remember his name. He mentioned that the waffles and hashbrowns are not homemade, but other dishes are.

It was good food and experience. Service was taking a bit long when didn’t seem to be busy day. Overall good but I had much better in Sarasota location.
Athena S — Google review
We can start with praise for how nice our waitress was and the inside of the little cafe is decorated nice. However unfortunately we did not find the food rather worth it or tasteful. For example I got a very easy chicken sandwich and the chicken was honestly hard to eat. It felt like idk cheap chicken or idk but it was tough and strange for me. I do think if this place invested in higher quality food items and made made there menu a little smaller the concept would soar. But it was little things like the hash browns seem were like frozen patty’s the chicken etc low grade ham etc. The pastry’s were fine nothing special but nothing bad about them. Go see it if you’re interested!

Island Creperie is a charming French bistro located on Historic Bridge Street, offering a delightful array of sweet and savory crêpes, along with sandwiches and salads in a vibrant setting. The menu features an assortment of authentic French dishes such as nicoise salad, quiche lorraine, escargots, French onion soup, and croque monsieur.
This was the first time we tried The Creperie and wow so sorry I haven't been here earlier! Breakfast was phenomenal! We had a sugar crepe to share and I had the breakfast crepe with bacon eggs and cheese and my husband had the croissant breakfast with eggs, cheese and a side of crispy bacon. The food was hot and delicious! I can't wait to go back and try more things. We ordered carry out and it was quick and everybody was super nice and the place is adorable! Definitely a local gem!

The food is very delicious. My group came here two days for breakfast because we really liked it. Everything we ordered was very tasty. I specially recommend the quiches. It was very very good. For sure I recommend this place for your breakfast in Anna Maria Island area. I will add Island Creperie in my wish list on my next vacation in AMI.

This is a cute and romantic place in n the heart of Anna Maria Island. We had lunch, coffee, and dessert. It was flavorful enough to make you want to come back soon. Spinach crepe and lobster crepe were amazing. Also, strawberry and banana crepe with cream was incredibly delicious

Cute little restaurant. The service was great. We had to wait about an hour to be seated on a rainy day with very little roof coverage. The food was good overall. It was fresh and presented well. My only issue was the cost for the amount of food you received. The restaurant was clean with a cute decor.

We were looking for a place that sold baguettes and breakfast. We found this one on our google search and decided to give it a try. The service was good and prompt. The food was good, my husband was happy with his eggs Benedict and I had the buckwheat French platter which comes with two eggs, mozzarella cheese and your choose of meat. The crepes were good. We also ordered French platter for the kids to go and they enjoyed their croissant and crepes with jam. The place itself is cute and welcoming. Thank goodness when we went it was not full so we were seated quickly. Oh, my 10 year loves his baguette 🥖 :) My only negative is the pricing. $60 for breakfast is quite high. If you don’t mind that you will be happy with visiting here when I’m AMI.

I come here every time I’m visiting Anna Maria. Delicious crepes in a cute spot on a cute street. They have both sweet and savory crepes. One of these days, I’ll try a sandwich or salad. But it’s hard to find a great crepe so I will stick to that for now. I usually order a savory one and then a sweet one. Sometimes there can be a long wait so plan accordingly.

This is another gem that we have found on the island and one that we will certainly be back to. Very authentic French cuisine; I wish we had found it on our previous four trips. The crepes are amazing and the creme brulee is literally the best I've ever had. It's a pretty small place, so if you have a large group it's probably not the best. We were able to get our group of eight seated for a late breakfast around 10:00 after waiting about 20 minutes.
Matt D — Google review
We googled a creperie and this place came up so we drove 20 miles because the ambience and location looked great. Of course we came mainly for the crepes. When we got here they were only serving dinner and dessert. We ordered all appetizers so we could then have the crepes for dessert. We were disappointed that we couldn't have savory crepes for dinner. The appetizers were alright; nothing great but expensive for what they were. The crepe Suzette was pretty good. We liked that it was made fresh and not out of a package.

Authentic Japanese restaurant
Sushi restaurant
Island Ocean Star is a popular family-owned sushi house located mid-island, offering traditional rolls and Japanese fare in a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant overlooks Bimini Bay, providing a great location for diners to enjoy the breeze and view the boats docked in the harbor from its spacious upper deck.
A beautiful spot right on the water at the marina on the less traveled side of Anna Maria. With a bar, inside and outside seating you'll have plenty of areas to sit. Service is friendly and great and the view and breeze from the water in a heavily shaded area is perfect. Nothing stood out as amazing in the food, but I could tell the quality was fresh. So a great meal, but probably doesn't elevate to amazing. Very friendly staff though so we will be back if we want a break from the busy main street restaurants.

If you enjoy taking your time eating dinner, then this is the place for you because it. Took. Time. We called ahead thinking they would be packed like the other restaurants on the Island, excited to return after their reopening. Upon arrival, it was tired and quiet and we were seated at the bar after expressing we’d like to be outside. Salads were good but slow to come out. Hoping our tempura appetizer would follow shortly after, we waited at least 15 minutes for the room temperature fried food. At that point and not to our surprise, the sushi rolls we ordered (ocean, volcano, Mexican & fire island) took an additional 35+ minutes to get to the table on a chipped plate. The sushi presentation was lacking and the flavors all melded together - nothing was distinct. During our many minutes of waiting, we saw one of the workers blatantly drink directly from a newly opened saki bottle by the bar. The bartender was friendly but again, turtle paced. Wish we waited in line for another restaurant in the area. Won’t be back any time soon, if ever.

I visited this restaurant twice in my last 5 day vacation to anna maria a few months ago, i still think about it so much im literally leaving a review at 4 am cause i cant sleep and ive been thinking about the food i had BOTH times for like 20 minutes. It was incredible, i love my local japanese restaurants but wow does this one take the cake. I got steak (medium) and rice with their sushi roll both times i was there and the steak just absolutely melted in my mouth, it was maybe the best steaks i’ve had and i'm a big steak eater. Their service was awesome, everyone was so kind beginning to end. If you’re willing to spend a little buck for a date night i 100% recommend this place!! The outside seating’s view is incredible and the vibe is perfect for date night but also just as perfect for a family get together. The first night we were there we had a party of probably 10-12 and they handled everything amazingly, it wasn’t too long of a wait and again they were all so kind. The second night we went was date night and everything was just as incredible. again if you’re even thinking about going, go ahead and get in the car :)

Food was amazing! Look at this sushi! But it’s not just sushi. The fried snapper was great. The grilled grouper was superb. Scenery was beautiful on the water. Staff were very sweet and fun. It does take a little while but for me, I didn’t want to leave. It was awesome just being there.

Excellent restaurant. Reasonably priced, great service, ask for Frumi! It sits next to the water. We noticed some people driving in on pontoon boats to dine. Excellent views for a romantic evening.
Carlos B — Google review
We went right when they opened at 4pm and we were seated right away. The owner of the restaurant greeted us on the way in and we were able to sit out in the deck facing the marina. The appetizer was served probably 10-15 minutes after we got there and our sushi was served right after. The fish was fresh and there were a lot of rolls that were within the $9-$15 range which is normal for sushi! We will definitely be back!
Missy B — Google review
Really thought maybe the other reviews were just exaggerating however I could not have been more wrong. The service was abysmal to say the least. We ended up having to be there for close to 3 hours waiting for our party’s food to come, we waited over 45 minutes for drinks and then some of us had to go to the bar and get our own drinks because the server was not bringing them. A good majority of our party was missing their food completely and we had to wait for it to be made and nothing was offered to those who had to sit and wait an extra 30 minutes for their food to be made. Our server regularly forgot drinks and seemed annoyed when we would ask to order things or remove used plates or drink glasses off of the table. We got there at 7:30 and did not have our food until 9:35 however our friends had to wait an additional 30 minutes because the server never rang their food in. On top of this the server added automatic gratuity to our checks and argued with us over rolls that she mistakenly rang in and we never received. This experience was beyond disappointing and frustrating and the food was in no way shape or form worth the headache or wait. The area was nice though.
Hayley L — Google review
Best thing about this place is its location on the water. Try to get there before sunset! Sushi is ok. Vegetable tempura is pretty good. Everything is good but not great. A nice family owns the place. Perfectly adequate when you get a craving for Japanese food.

Coquina Beach is a popular public swimming spot that attracts both locals and tourists with its serene and clean environment. The beach offers ample free parking, picnic tables, bathrooms, showers, and lifeguard stations for safety. Visitors can also enjoy the convenience of a seaside cafe serving breakfast, grilled food, drinks, and desserts. Spanning 22 acres, the beach features cabanas, play areas for kids, and a variety of amenities to cater to different preferences.
This is the nicest beach around Tampa area. I know that is a bold statement, but you're be the judge. Crisp sand, plenty of parking, great views and away from typical tourist. This is truly a gem worth checking out.
Konrad S — Google review
We love Coquina Beach because the distance between the parking area and the water is very short, which is handy for our family, especially with our son with special needs. There is a snack bar available if needed. The restrooms were destroyed in hurricane Milton last year - they have portable toilets, but the changing restrooms and cubicles they used to have were great - hoping they rebuild those. It is very busy at peak times, but there is a generous amount of parking all the way along the public beach area - but it is advantageous to come early. The beach is very shallow out to the buoys - maybe 12 feet or so at max. And there are lifeguards right there. The sand is great, but not quite as fine and white as Siesta Key, but it is still a beautiful beach.

Parking was very close so we didn’t have to carry everything very far. Water temp- It’s the beginning of June. Extremely hot outside but the water felt great. Visitors can savor homemade chili topped with cheddar cheese and jalapenos while enjoying potent boat drinks.
We enjoyed lunch on Easter at the Bridge Tender Inn. We docked the boat and sat outside at the bar. The food was delicious. The bartender was friendly. The coctail menu is interesting. You can't beat the chill atmosphere or the view. This place is Florida dockside dining at it's best!

The Bridge Bar (aka Packer Bar) immediately caught our eye. Being from Wisconsin, we couldn’t resist checking it out while visiting Anna Maria Island—it felt like a little slice of home down in Florida. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with lots of Packers memorabilia and a friendly crowd that made us feel right at home. We ordered a Bloody Mary, and it did not disappoint—well-balanced, flavorful, and definitely satisfying. We also grabbed a soft pretzel, and honestly, it was one of the best we've ever had. In fact, I’d put it in my top 3 soft pretzels of all time. It was warm, insanely fresh, and had the perfect chewy texture with just the right amount of salt. The beer cheese dip that came with it was smooth and creamy, adding a great savory touch that paired perfectly with the pretzel. All in all, we’re glad we stopped in. Great drinks, tasty food, and a little Wisconsin comfort in the middle of paradise.

Paradise Boat Tours in Sarasota Bay offers a Premier Wildlife Tour, providing a 90-minute narrated adventure along the intracoastal waterway. With a high chance of spotting dolphins, guests are almost guaranteed to see these fascinating creatures during the tour. Additionally, manatees can be observed from April through October as they migrate to warmer areas during winter. Visitors have praised the knowledgeable and friendly guides who make the experience enjoyable and engaging.
An incredible sunset cruise tonight!! Worth every single penny! And they aren’t even that expensive. Very reasonable prices. We actually had a “private” tour being that our party of 4 were the only people on the boat other than the captain and 1st mate. Both great guys and very informative. There was a storm inland, with lightning strikes in the distance, and an incredible sunset off the coast. Many dolphin sightings!! A completely memorable experience. Go!! You won’t be disappointed!!
Mark B — Google review
Wow, what an INCREDIBLE experience for my family while on vacation! The captain and host were both the most kind, informative, and helpful people for our family with small children. The dolphins were amazing and I highly recommend going at sunset! Can’t wait to book them again in future years!
Luke W — Google review
We had a great trip with Dave and Jim! Highly recommend!! Thanks to off-season we were only 6 people on the boat which felt like a private tour. We were a bit confused as the flyer stated „we guarantee that you see dolphins“ which is normally a bad sign I guess 😂 But there were dolphins EVERYWHERE. Of course, you never know what to expect as it’s wildlife. What I really liked is that both of them explained a lot to us and that they were careful of not to harass the dolphins. That’s a double plus! 💯🥰 Thank you so so much for this unique and personal experience.

We had a great time on paradise boat tour. Our captain was Jim and first mate was Christa. They were very down to earth, fun, and knew a lot of knowledge about the dolphins and bay. They knew exactly where the dolphins would be. The ride was very smooth and my 2 yr old had a great time. Thank you guys for having us!

My family surprised me with this dolphin cruise! And let me tell you it wasn’t just a cruise to go sight seeing for dolphins! I not only had an amazing time seeing a whole show and seeing tons of dolphins but got to know first mate Steve and captain Chris! 🚤⚓️ They gave us so much information about the dolphins, the water and restaurants to try out that they LOVE! We also had a rare sighting of a manatee (my mom’s favorite sea creature) that hung around for a while and I spotted a jellyfish!!🪼 I not only was impressed with the knowledge that Steve and Chris had but how much they cared about the animals and their appreciation for them!☺️(especially since manatee are endangered)!! All that being said if you want to learn a bit about the animals, have a fantastic boat ride, and great conversation, check out this family owned business😉 First mate Steve is there on Wednesdays and Thursdays!⚓️

Star Fish Company in Cortez, Florida is a no-frills seafood restaurant and market that offers a simple yet memorable dining experience. Established as a wholesale fish company in the 1920s, it has evolved into a popular seafood hangout with outdoor picnic-table seating and buckets of beers. The menu features an array of fresh Florida seafood, including wild Alaskan salmon, mahi-mahi sandwiches, Gulf shrimp, and stone crab claws when in season.
Amazing food, it's a fantastic place to sip on a cold beer while you wait for your food to be cooked, It does take a while because usually they are quite busy and they go for quality so your food is fresh and hot when you get it It's kind of like a picnic experience sitting outside at picnic tables. Bring some bug spray If you happen to be a mosquito magnet like me. The beer was cold the atmosphere was great The servers were really nice but be prepared to just chill and relax for a bit while they get your food ready it's definitely worth the wait. Hands down one of the best seafood lunches I have had since I got to Florida 6 years ago this is now one of my favorite places.

All outdoor seating, No ac, we arrived at 6:30 got in line and by the time we got through the line and wait the sun was hidden behind nearby buildings and we were in the shade we were served and done eating by 7:30pm the location is so neat you don’t even care about the wait. Highly recommend if you’re a foodie. CASH ONLY

I’m a tampa native and I do this thing anytime I’m around the beach. Find a good grouper sandwich. I looked for about two hours to find the perfect place and I found it! They source their own local seafood and have a warehouse right next door that cleans, skins and filets them on site. Off the beaten path is always a great sign. I ordered my typical fried grouper sandwich and Nicole who was extremely friendly, recommended I try American cheese on it… and you know it really added something to the meal! I’ve never put cheese on a fish sandwich in my life but I would say definitely try it once and definitely try this place out. Very friendly staff, outdoor seating on the water and cold beer! It truly doesn’t get much better than this. 10 out of 10 hands down!!

Hidden gem for seafood! I can’t believe I’ve never been here before. I got fresh oysters and a delicious scallop & shrimp platter with great coleslaw and cheesy grits. Casual, rustic waterfront place with picnic tables on a dock. Cash only. There’s an ATM on site but it wasn’t working the day I went.

An amazing old Florida experience. Sitting on a dock eating fresh stone crabs cracked so perfect that no crackers are needed. Seafood does not get any fresher. Order from the counter, food is delivered in a white box as you enjoy the views of Sarasota Bay and one of the last of the old Florida fishing fleets. Expect to wait to order and to get your food. My favorite place to eat Seafood and so glad it is where I live. Check the Board for Specials in addition to the regular menu. There is also a fish market. Bring cash, no credit cards accepted.

Fresh seafood always tastes great at Star Fish Company. You literally sit on the docks where the ships deliver the fish to this restaurant. This casual setting delivers an authentic Florida experience. You order at the window, pay cash, and the food is delivered to your picnic table. The calamari, shrimp and grouper were hits with our family. Hamburgers and chicken are also available for land-lubbers.

Stopped at this extraordinary out of the way spot on our way in to Anna Maria Island - the service and food were amazing and affordable. Outdoor seating with a quietly spectacular view. Counter service is quick and efficient with something tasty for the whole family.

Nestled in the heart of Bradenton, Palma Sola Botanical Park is a stunning 10-acre oasis that invites visitors to immerse themselves in nature's beauty. This enchanting park boasts an impressive collection of exotic plants, flowering trees, and rare palms, alongside serene lakes adorned with charming bridges. Families can enjoy a delightful playground while picnicking under the shade of lush greenery or exploring the butterfly garden.
Just got married at the park after visiting often over the years for different events. I loved them as a venue, I had the option to do pretty much whatever I wanted and it was perfect. They were always super responsive and helpful, very hand off which I liked.

New to us-very quiet and green. Oasis like. Free entry. 20 acres of Floridian botanicals. Plants are in Hurricane recovery. Lots of birds and animals. Great restroooms. Picnic on the porch. Parking easy. Sculptures add interest. Thank you!

Beautiful small botanical gardens with discretionary entrance fee. The exotic fruit varieties were really interesting.

It's a few nature park that takes donations. It said there was a cafe onsite that we would have liked to check out but our dog was too hot to spend more than 45 minutes here. Idk if I was supposed to take it but I found this really randomly beautiful piece of art in the notch of a tree. It is the most awesome thing I've ever found. I should try a Google image search to try to find the artist...

Nice place to walk around for an afternoon. Not too crowded, laid out well. Hard for people with walkers or wheelchairs, online pictures make trail look like it’s concrete, it is however shell.

We stopped in for a quick visit (we had just learned about this place). The office/gift shop was closed (Sunday) but parking was easy, trails were open and the plants were thriving. We started near the Butterfly Garden area-very nice, lots of milkweed and other appropriate foliage. Moving along toward the fruit trees, we were joined by Michael-he was a wealth of knowledge of the fruit trees. Gave us a great education about each of them. He pointed out trees across the pond and gave us some fun details about them. The Hibiscus Island is full of many different colors of Hibiscus flowers--so pretty. The aloe plants are huge. Ducklings in the pond, turtles in another pond--life is quite abundant. Lots of benches for resting or just enjoying the scenery. Excellent for nature photography. Free to wander about, donations are suggested and welcomed.

It was great, small place, but a great place for kids. Bring the kids to the outdoors, this is a great place to take pictures, many fruit trees and great area to have lunch with the kids. (Bring your food ). The access if free. Make sure to keep it beautiful by placing the garbage in the container.

This was a nice well kept garden. Nice pavilion n cute little gazebo by the big lake, which was relaxing to sit by. Very nice little walking trails along the way. They had a small trail that had all different kinds of fruit trees which was neat. They may have a little gift shop or café but it was not open when I was there. Nice to just relax n stroll around. When you do go it is free although they ask for Donations to help maintain the park.

Bamboo Island Bar is a vibrant 2nd-floor hangout known for its global-Brazilian fusion plates, unique pizzas, and refreshing mojitos. Situated on Bridge Street, it's a popular spot for both tourists and locals. While the food menu offers limited but upscale small plates, the drink menu is reasonably priced with cocktails costing less than $10 per person. The bar is highly praised for its impressive drink selection, making it a must-visit destination on Anna Maria Island.
Best restaurant we have been to in a very long time! The appetizers were SUPER and the main courses were even better. The flavors, the presentation, the staff, and the atmosphere… a must-go when in the Anna Maria area. We’ll make sure to visit them every time we go back to Manatee County!

EVERYTHING about this place was amazing! The bar tender and staff were phenomenal. We ordered many apps as our dinner and everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. It’s been a long time since I have had octopus that has been cooked correctly and the sauces it came with was a “sushi” and rosemary sauce. 🤤 I highly recommend this place and will be be back!!!

I had the pleasure of dining at Bamboo Island tonight and everything from the food to the atmosphere was absolutely impeccable. Our server, Brady, went above and beyond. His recommendations were spot on, and every entrée we tried was delicious. You can tell this place takes pride in both their menu and their service. I only wish I were a local & I’d come back every day if I could. Brady truly made the entire experience unforgettable. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Rating: ★★★★★ (5 out of 5 stars) Bamboo Island Bar and Grill is an absolute gem, a family-run treasure that blends their rich culinary heritage of Brazil with an eclectic mix of flavors inspired by a lifetime of travel. From start to finish, our experience was nothing short of spectacular. The appetizers alone were worth the visit. The octopus was tender and perfectly seasoned, the buffalo chicken croquets were packed with flavor and just the right amount of kick, and the cheese-filled bread bites paired with a sour cream and cherry chutney, were unlike anything we’ve ever tasted. Even the complimentary fresh bread was delicious, setting the tone for what was to come. Service was truly top-notch. Our server struck the perfect balance of professionalism and personality, providing vivid descriptions of the menu, thoughtful recommendations, and engaging banter throughout the evening. We never once felt rushed or neglected. The setting was equally impressive. We enjoyed our meal outside with a stunning waterfront view, which only added to the charm and warmth of the evening. For our entrées, my Brazilian steak platter was absolutely sublime, tender, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth perfect, complemented by sides that were just as thoughtfully prepared. My wife and daughter both raved about their seafood and pasta dishes, each bite reflecting care, creativity, and incredible taste. The entire evening felt special, one of those rare dining experiences where every detail aligns to create something memorable. It was so good, I gladly doubled the bill as a token of appreciation. We will definitely be back, and I honestly can’t recommend Bamboo Island Bar and Grill highly enough. If you’re anywhere nearby, don’t miss it!

Wow!!! What a delightful surprise during our stay at AMI! Bamboo Island Bar is a beautiful and inviting place with plenty of seating. The atmosphere is super pleasant, and the staff is incredible. We received excellent service—special thanks to Bryan, who made sure our experience was impeccable. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious options. Here’s what we ordered: Appetizers: • Ibiza: The octopus was perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and juicy. • Bali: The calamari were excellent. Entrées: • Hawaii: The perfect combination of pineapple and shrimp. • Vicenza: A wonderful pasta with seafood—everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. • Salvador: A tasty Brazilian dish, though a bit too spicy for my personal taste. • Piemontese Rice: Absolutely delicious. Desserts: • Saint Tropez Crème Brûlée: Creamy and flavorful. • Zurich Sweet Pizza: A fun and tasty treat! The prices are extremely reasonable, and we’ll definitely be back!

As a local Real Estate broker I often get asked where to eat. Wonderful family… ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bamboo Island Bar on Bridge Street in Bradenton Beach is a true gem! From the moment we walked up to the vibrant second-floor dining area, we were captivated by the beachy, welcoming atmosphere. The global-Brazilian fusion menu is a delightful journey—every dish, from the perfectly cooked prawns to the creative Munich pizza, bursts with fresh, bold flavors. The shrimp and white fish stew was a standout, absolutely out of this world! The staff, led by the warm and attentive Brian, made us feel like family. Their service is impeccable, balancing professionalism with genuine friendliness. The happy hour is a must, with expertly crafted cocktails like the best mojito I’ve ever had and a pina colada that’s pure bliss. The crème brûlée dessert? Hands down the best I’ve ever tasted—silky, rich, and unforgettable. The ambiance is perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a romantic dinner, a lively group gathering, or a special event like a birthday or rehearsal dinner. The view overlooking Bridge Street adds to the charm, and the family-owned vibe shines through in every detail.

Nestled right on the pristine sands of Coquina Beach, Coquina Beach Cafe is a charming waterfront eatery that perfectly captures the laid-back vibe of Anna Maria Island. This beloved spot is ideal for those seeking a delightful breakfast or lunch experience with stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico. The menu boasts an array of delicious options, from fresh seafood platters and grouper sandwiches to classic breakfast favorites like pancakes and island-style French toast.
This is one of my favorite beaches in the whole world. I'm saddened that the recent hurricanes have destroyed the restrooms, but that's understandable, and they've done a good job thus far to get things back to normal. It's a very uncrowded beach, it's a very beautiful beach, and it's kind of a hidden secret, but it's just worth the trip. They do have a free bus that goes from the northern part of the island down to this beach. I did not eat this time but I ate the last time I was here, and the food is really good. It's just one of the few places that really is as beautiful as the postcards.

May 2019 – I visited Coquina Beach Cafe with my family, and it was absolutely stunning! The food was delicious, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We had an amazing time enjoying the atmosphere, making memories together, and soaking up the beautiful beach views. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Bradenton Beach – it’s perfect for families and a relaxing day by the water!

We both had the Seafood Platter with fries & coleslaw. Mine was grilled, my husband’s was blackened. They very kindly separated my fish, fries & slaw (comes in a small cup), while my husband wanted his fish in his fries. The fish was delicious, as promised, very mild & tender. Next time I’ll ask for half the seasoning as I eat low salt, but it was delicious & perfectly cooked. My husband’s blackened fish was exactly to his liking. He enjoyed his mango daiquiri & I had bottled water. We were able to find a table with partial shade, no mean feat in a busy Sunday. We love Coquina Beach—less crowded than others—and will be back. When we do, we’ll definitely eat here again! Beach photos since I forgot to take photos of the food. Can’t beat the ambience! 😍

Good food and portions size is nice. Went twice in 1 week. Please someone message me where I can buy those pickle spears. Best I ever tasted. Fresh and crispy. Live in Ohio so a long way from home.

The location is incredibly convenient. The staff is nice. You order alcohol on the bar to the left and everything else is ordered at the counter at top of the stairs. We had such a delicious grilled cheese that came with a pickle spear. Now for the bar, since there are no alcoholic beverages permitted beyond the patio area you have to get one of two plastic souvenir cups. I had a Margarita which was just meh. I was expecting to be asked what color cup I would like since the customer in front of us was asked, then I got stuck with a pink cup. I won't be visiting the bar again because I the drinks do not align with the prices and having to get one of those cups. While they are refillable at a slightly lower price, it's just not worth it for us. Since we are early birds we love that they serve breakfast.

The restaurant serves up the finest local seafood dishes and boasts a mix of Old Florida charm and fresh coastal vibes. This place is a local gem. Set back in a marina / fishing boat charter area. They bring in their own fresh caught fish. Nice ambiance and views of the water. Indoor, outdoor covered and bar seating available. Service was great, thank you Cindy for making us feel so welcomed. The food was very good, and ooh lala the key lime pie was wonderful. We will definitely be back, maybe even on this trip!

The hostess was friendly and sat us promptly. This was our first time here. We were trying it out for my birthday. Then the wait began. We sat for 5 almost 6 minutes before we were greeted. This occurred only after another couple was sat next to us and was promptly greeted. My husband stated, well I guess we are invisible. I responded, yes I guess so, after waiting 5 almost 6 minutes and nobody has been to our table. The server Kimmi N. Came over and asked us how we were doing. I expressed to her we would be doing better if we had not been waiting for 5 almost 6 minutes without being greeted. Her response was, that’s why she came over. She stated that she noticed nobody had been to our table. As a server, this means, we were her table, or there is not teamwork at this restaurant ( communication). Which I’m not sure is the case. She brought our drinks and ordered our appetizer. Our appetizer ( calamari ) was delivered , and was cooked to perfection. We ate some of it, then chose to walk 3 tables over by the bar and get a few pictures. 2-3 minutes tops. When we returned to our table, it had been cleared! Seriously! We wait for almost 6 minutes to be greeted, but leave the table for 2 possibly 3 minutes and our table is cleared with our food. Not a great experience! So when Kimmi N. Returns in sight, we flag her down and point to our empty table. She states, oh no they cleared your table! And I told them not to. She then gets us new drinks and tells us that she will order our calamari to go if we want. As we were ordering our food, I ask her if they did anything for birthdays. Her response was yes, a slice of Keylime pie. I asked my husband if he would split it with me and he said yes, so then we agreed on that. When our food was delivered by a gentleman, he asked if there were anything else he could get us. My husband responded yes silverware. They cleared our table and took everything while we were taking pictures. The look on his face was surprised. So he brought our silverware. The food was cooked perfect. If it were not for the lack of service and the clearing of our table, perhaps this would have been a great birthday for me. The view was perfect. The music was great and the food was wonderful. The rest of it was just unbelievable if We had not witnessed it ourselves, It’s just laughable. Kimmi N. was friendly and accommodating once she got there, but that experience like we didn’t even exist, and it being my birthday was just unbelievable. We will give your restaurant another try, we always do just in case it was just a bad day.

Casual Tiki With Great Calamari and Shrimp Nachos My son and girlfriend have been here several times and have raved about the seafood, the service, the deck and view, so my wife and I hooked up with him and visited this place on the July 4 weekend. We found plenty of parking for cars and there’s some dock space for boats to come by water. The Tiki roof covers an expansive deck that has great views of Sarasota Bay. We were fortunate to have T.C. (Tim Chandler) providing live entertainment on the deck, singing and playing his guitar. Lots of outdoor seating on the deck and we were seated immediately. We placed our drink order - Heineken 0.0 cans ($5.00), Busch Light 12 oz cans ($4.00), Diet Coke fountain ($3.75). We went with a couple appetizers instead of meals. The Calamari appetizer ($15) is excellent. The rings and tentacles have a very thin batter, then flash fried, topped with cabbage, mint, cilantro and green onions, then drizzled with Thai chili sauce. This is one hefty platter of calamari – easily shared by three people. No rubbery chew here and the chili sauce was an excellent alternative to the typical marinara or cocktail sauce most places provide. No problem getting more chili sauce as we dipped every piece. We also got the Loaded Nachos ($11) and added shrimp ($7 add-on). Now these are LOADED NACHOS!!!! Look at my pic. A massive pile of tortilla chips topped with an impressive quantity of grilled shrimp topped with diced fresh tomatoes and scallions. Small side containers had a very fresh tasting pico and sour cream. The three of us also shared this and I do believe there are enough shrimp to have one on every chip. No doubt, one of the best nacho dishes we’ve ever had. Our server never made us feel rushed to open our table so we sat and gabbed, listened to the music and had a few more cold ones. We will be back for sure.
Heino P — Google review
This is going to become a favorite go-to of ours! You can beat the setting on the water where you can watch the sun retreat in the evening, the beers were cold and kept coming, and the whole fried snapper was as good as I've had anywhere in the world, if a bit more expensive. We drove over an hour and still made reservations for the following week after this initial visit.
Karl L — Google review
Swordfish Grill never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, with generous portions that feel more than fair for the price. I meant to take a photo of the firecracker shrimp but ended up eating them too fast—absolutely packed with flavor. Even the French fries deserve a mention; crispy, breaded, and some of the best I’ve ever had. The ambiance is perfect, sitting right on the water with a relaxed vibe that feels tucked away from the main tourist bustle while still being easy to get to. On top of that, the staff is always warm, polite, and welcoming, which makes every visit a pleasure. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and a great setting.

We had the best dinner. We started off with the grouper collars, so crispy and tender. I have the burger and the tomatoes on it were beyond sweet and juicy. The others had the shrimp and grits, which were so creamy and packed with shrimp. You absolutely need to visit The Swordfish.

I had a decent experience at Floridays Bar and Grill. The food was good—not amazing, but solid enough to enjoy a meal. Service was friendly, though a bit on the slow side, especially when waiting on drink refills. There was also a faint smell from the nearby water that was a little off-putting at first, but it didn’t ruin the overall vibe. The atmosphere was relaxed and the location has its charm. With a few small improvements, this place could be great.

A nice experience at lunch today. First there were 13 of us and Katie did a great job. Clam chowder, grouper and calamari were reported as excellent. My Cuban was good. De Soto National Memorial is a park dedicated to commemorating the landing of Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto in 1539. The park offers living-history camps, exhibits, shorelines, and nature trails for visitors to explore. It aims to educate about the 16th-century Spanish cultural values and their encounters with native cultures during De Soto's expedition.
Although the gate says that the park is closed, all the trails are well maintained. You can park on the right just prior to the gate. It’s a beautiful short walk through the mangrove and along the beach. Well worth it. Dog friendly, no fee, lots of people with dogs.

De Soto National Memorial: A Historically Rich Visit, Awaiting Full Restoration My recent visit to the De Soto National Memorial was a truly insightful experience, offering a fascinating glimpse into the history of the area. It was a great place to visit and learn about the history of the first European contact in Florida, with informative exhibits and beautiful natural surroundings. The historical reenactments and interpretive signs provided a vivid understanding of the past. An added bonus is that the memorial is also dog friendly, making it a great outing for the whole family, including your furry companions. However, it was clear that the memorial is still recovering from recent events. The place still shows the damaged caused by the hurricane from 2024. While efforts have clearly been made, there were visible signs of impact, which understandably affected the overall presentation of some areas. Despite the lingering effects of the hurricane, the educational value and the natural beauty of the memorial still shone through. I genuinely enjoyed my time there and the opportunity to connect with such a significant piece of history. I sincerely hope to go again once the place has been restored to its full glory. With its historical importance and scenic setting, a fully restored De Soto National Memorial would undoubtedly be an even more enriching experience. I look forward to seeing it brought back to its pristine condition.

What a great day trip! Our daughters earned another Junior Ranger badge and we had the best walk! It was stunning views around each bend. There are a ton of picnic tables, so we packed a lunch and soaked in the view. There was a breeze coming off the ocean which made for a perfect experience. This is a dog friendly national park, so next time we plan on bringing our fur kiddo too. Most people go here for the beach we found out but the trails are totally worth it. They were easy enough for my 7 and 3 year old daughters and my senior parents. Very well maintained! The kids programs were not going on the day we were there, you have to check their schedule online to see the historic areas, but it gives us a reason to come back! Highly recommend!

During the summer they hold free ranger led kayak tours. This year they are at Robinson preserve due to construction but typically they are held onsite. During seasonal months they have living history museum and short historic trails. Lovely place. People go fishing and swimming and kayaking here. Definitely visit this national park. Free entrance.

Great place to go for a walk. Partially shaded trails and beautiful water views. Trails are not too long and well maintained. Also, dog friendly. Visitors are respectful and observe the dog and liter policies posted. Markers along the trail explain the historical significance of the area. Great place to bring family and friends who are visiting.

Palma Sola Causeway Park, situated in Bradenton, Florida, is a picturesque and family-friendly destination along the Palma Sola Causeway. Known as The Redneck Riveria by locals, it's one of the few pet-friendly beaches in Bradenton. The park offers amenities such as picnic tables, grills, covered picnic areas, and ample parking.
Palma Sola Park is super dog friendly. You can walk the beach or the sidewalk. I found a lot of pretty shells. My dog and I went to the park and walked all through Robinson Preserve for a total of 5 miles. It was beautiful and peaceful!

Such a peaceful place to reflect or watch dolphins occasionally. I raised my children not far from here and I would definitely recommend for an awesome place to ride horses which they have daily now.

🌴 Palm Sola Bay - Bradenton, FL: A Hidden Gem for Family Fun! 🌊 We had such a lovely Sunday at Palm Sola Bay in Bradenton. It’s a simple but charming spot, perfect for a family day out. There are covered cabanas, picnic tables, BBQ grills, public restrooms, and drinking water available. The atmosphere is peaceful and very family-friendly. We caught some blue crabs, and one of the highlights of the day was seeing a manatee about 10 feet long swimming right in front of us — it was amazing to see a manatee so close! The water is calm and safe for kids, and just across the street there’s a busy beach area where people fish, relax, and enjoy the sun. Nothing fancy, but everything you need for a perfect, relaxing day. We will definitely be back! ⭐ Tip: Bring chairs, sunscreen, and fishing gear if you can — it’s a great place for it!

It was such a beautiful beach. We went to Ana Maria Island but couldn't find parking at all. So we head out and just 10min from the island is this wonderful, amazing beach that reminds me so much like Key Biscayne in Miami. Me & my hubby love it so much. And what's great you can bring your fur babies. Definitely coming back to enjoy a good beach time, fishing and bringing our fur babies to. Will recommend to anyone

Love to go to Palma Sola with the family to ride our jet skis and go out in the boat. Ramp is accessible

Great for paddle boarding. Though wish the jet ski people not go crazy fast so close to shore in the no wake zone. Other than jerks on jet ski Great place to go canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding.

Great spot to throw a cast net and get bait. The big fish are near the rocks. Shallow, great place to practice your casting... or just back up to the beach and break out the chairs and cooler. The Bradenton side of the causeway is busy with jet skis and horses rides. The Anna Maria side has boat ramps. The north side is calmer than the south side.

Bradenton Beach Marina is a well-established family-run marina resort situated on Anna Maria Island, close to the Gulf of Mexico near Longboat Pass. Since its opening in 1982, it has been a go-to destination for water sports enthusiasts, offering various boat rental options for exploring the pristine waters. The marina also provides guided boat tours on the Anna Maria Explorer, catering to dolphin tours and sunset cruises.
We had a blast on our dolphin/sandbar tour today! Carlo and Sam were super nice and very accommodating! We had ample time to unboard the boat and hang out on the shallow sandbar. My kids had a blast looking for sea creatures! On our way back we saw a mother dolphin with her calf swimming near the boat. We had a wonderful time! Definitely recommend!
Erin P — Google review
Firstly, I'd like to start with our Captains, Carlos and John. They were outstanding guides. Both were extremely nice, nautically knowledgable, and had family friendly demeanors. Our families took a 4 hour guided trip. Within the trip, we observed and handled (a majority but not all) dolphins, multiple types of crab (blue, rock, and spider), sand dollars, squid, small sharks (unknown type), pelicans, muscles, oysters, multiple exotic fish, etc. Our families had an excellent time. Pricing was more than reasonable for what was experienced. Drinks were included and the boats were outfitted with life vests. I highly recommend giving them a try. Ask for Carlos and John!

We did the sandbar sunset cruise and we loved it. Saw dolphins on the way, the sandbar was very special and the sunset was beautiful. John, our captain, was a fantastic guide. He is very knowledgeable and accommodating. Overall, very pleasant trip and highly recommend it.

Captain James and First Mate Robin were fantastic. Captain James navigated us to the best viewing of the Dolphins, and then the sunset position was perfect. Robin was very knowledgeable about everything on the tour. Very friendly, and a pretty good photographer as well. She took our pictures during the sunset. Overall 10 out of 10. Great job. Will definitely recommend it to everyone I know coming to the area. While we waited, a different Robin took great care of us at the Nautilus Bar at the Marina.

Restaurant
Blue Marlin Seafood Restaurant is a charming Gulf Coast eatery and wine bar located on Bradenton Beach's Historic Bridge Street. Housed in a renovated 1920s-era cottage, the restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its nautical decor and intimate courtyard featuring live music. Specializing in fresh local catches like snapper, grouper, hogfish, and cobia, the menu also includes Southern-style favorites such as shrimp and grits.
Had a wonderful meal here! Love the atmosphere! Very cozy! Delicious food and wine! It really stood out that the owner of the business is very involved. From seating customers, to refilling water, he cares about his business! I can't wait to go back!

We showed up post-hurricane with no reservation, a newborn baby, and zero expectations--except maybe to be turned away. But instead, we were welcomed like old friends. Huge thanks to the amazing woman at the outside bar who got us a seat inside-you made our night! We were celebrating our 1-year anniversary while grieving the recent loss of two close friends, so emotions were high. But Blue Marlin lifted our spirits in the best way. The Grouper Fettuccine? Life-changing. The Thai Nugs? Crispy happiness. Drinks? Yes, please--and they were perfect. Bri and Morgan gave us top-notch service with warmth and humor. We felt taken care of in every way.ml This wasn't just dinner. It was a beautiful, healing experience we'll never forget. Blue Marlin is now officially our place. Thank you for turning a hard week into something joyful.

Just passing by on our day trip to AMI and from the reviews, we figured this was a must. What we enjoyed the most was the welcoming service, decor, and overall ambiance. Regarding the food, I have to say the broccoli was the best. It's incredible how a common vegetable could pack so much flavor. It was just incredible. Second to that was the mash potato. The grouper wasn't as memorable after the amount of flavor that broccoli had. If you're interested, make sure to have a reservation and come visit.

Our server was Brie. She and her supporting staff were great. The place wasn't too busy so it was appropriate. I tried the Cioppino and it was very tasty and cooked perfectly. My wife had the grouper with eggplant. She loved it. The atmosphere is outstanding, inside and out. It is on the pricey side but not outrageous. I would recommend it.
Doug D — Google review
Tucked away on charming Bridge Street, Blue Marlin is a true gem on Anna Maria Island. The atmosphere is cozy and coastal, with a welcoming vibe that fits perfectly into the laid-back island charm. The standout dish? Without question, the shrimp and grits — absolutely phenomenal. Perfectly cooked shrimp nestled in creamy, flavorful grits with just the right kick. It's rich, comforting, and not to be missed. Service is attentive and friendly, and the fresh seafood selection is impressive. Whether you're dining inside or enjoying the outdoor seating near the “Trap Yard” area with live music, it’s a memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy great seafood and relaxed island vibes.

Had the pleasure of dining at Blue Marlin for the first time recently as a date night with my wife, and the only thing better than the food was the top notch service received by our server Drew. We were celebrating our anniversary and he went above and beyond to ensure our night was special. The atmosphere and food were superb, and we're so grateful we dined here. If you're looking for your next favorite hidden gem on AMI, look no further than Blue Marlin and be sure to ask for Drew, you're won't be sorry!

We celebrated our 20th year anniversary here the food was amazing. Service was spectacular. Really enjoyed the intimate setting on the inside. If you are looking for outside dining they also offer that. This place is set in an original 1920s cottage so the inside is small but perfect for intimate settings like an anniversary. We had the lobster grilled cheese with the best cheese grits I have ever had and the pecan crusted grouper which was excellent. ( Pouring the lobster sauce from the lobster grilled cheese on the grouper made it a 10). My wife and I shared our entrees which were perfectly portioned. ( We brought home just a small box). If you are looking for a more casual dining experience their patio seemed perfect for that.

We came out to grab a bite on a weekday evening. The website recommended putting a reservation down, but it wasn’t too busy and we were sat right away. The hostess was welcoming and friendly and took us to an outdoor table. The seating area itself was well decorated and overall had a really nice atmosphere. After we were sat our waiter met us right away, but I think he may have forgotten us as it was longer than expected for him to come back to take our drink/meal orders. We ended up ordering the House Salad, Potato Soup, the Scallops, and the Grouper Dijonnaise. Everything was pretty good, but the Grouper and its sides were a bit lacking in flavor and the fish was a tad tougher than you’d expect at the price point. Overall we had a decent time, but based on this initial visit it wouldn’t be a *first* recommendation with all the options around.

City Pier Grill and Bait is a charming seafood spot located on the historic Anna Maria City Pier. The restaurant offers a laid-back atmosphere with live music, happy hour specials, and stunning views of the bay and local fishermen at work. Despite its slightly weathered appearance, the restaurant's authenticity shines through, providing an unforgettable dining experience. Additionally, visitors can also enjoy browsing the bait shop for fishing essentials while savoring freshly caught fish or juicy burgers from the menu.
This is not a restaurant, it is order at the window and then eat at tables outside or walk along the pier. You have to walk across a pier from the main road to get there and then there is ocean view and people fishing. There is next to no parking where the pier starts, so either you get lucky or will have to park on the road somewhere further and walk. The quality of the food is decent, same as what you would probably get at most of the restaurants, (priced that way too) and the service is pretty quick. Beer and wine here too, reasonable priced about $5. Fried coconut shrimp was very good, grouper bites average. Would recommend if you want food quick without waiting too long and to walk around or sit outside, but not if you want an actual restaurant or be served.

So.... BE ADVISED, take your hard earned money and vacation time where you get much more bang for it... EVERYTHING in Anna Maria Island is in RUINS and the municipality is DRAGGING their feet to redo it... Not fix it(its gone with the wind/HURRICANES) Now then, the spaces for parking are extremely limited and if you step out of their line you get a (drummer roll pls) A TICKET, $50.00 and after a few days it creeps up to $65.00 and then $150.00😳areas shown in tbe photos are areas that could it been turn into parking spaces but they decided not too. There's also nice places like Caladesi(plenty of parking for a nominal small fee all day) and from there you can take the small ferry and jump to Honey moon Island, and thats a better area and no traffic ENFORCERS playing ninja behind a tree watching you🤔🤣

This was the perfect spot to chill out and enjoy a bite to eat. You feel as if you are on private Island . Because of the location and the open structure of the venue. They also had karaoke. It was a great experience.

The pier is no longer there because of the hurricane. Standing at the shore and looking out to where it had been, was a beautiful memorial.

One of the highlights of our trip. Amazing pier walk to the restaurant (we saw a fever of stingrays on our second visit and several up close pelican experiences). Grouper bites were delicious and they have the most amazing Hibiscus Iced Tea. Cashier on 4/18 was so nice and friendly (cashier on return visit [blonde female] was sitting down and acted like I was bothering her with my order). Servers were extremely friendly. There was a local artist playing guitar and singing that just sealed the deal on making an AMAZING atmosphere.

At first, I was skeptical because there is just a fast food order station and no restaurant and limited beer/wine options. However, if you are looking for SIMPLE, the live music on Saturday, the fried shrimp and fries were some of the best I’ve ever had! Seriously, the breading on the shrimp was a little peppery and super yummy. Plus, the view is amazing! And the fisher people fishing for shark - YES SHARK - are fun entertainment 😁

Beautiful place! Wished we could have tried the food! We arrived at 9 to find out they stopped serving food other than drinks and desserts at 9pm but online it said open until 10pm, but didn't specify food stopped at 9pm. Also a bit nerve wracking for that long of a pier to a restaurant with no railings!!! I have kids that cannot swim and I was a bit nervous for there safety with so many people crossing at once.

Had a great lunch at the City Pier Grill and Bait. The tacos for taco Tuesday were good! Pork was a tad dry but the ingredients were fresh. The hush puppies were excellent and the orange butter served with it is phenomenal. Chowder is very tasty and fried clams were tasty and not overly greasy. Friendly employees and a great view to top it off.

This coffee shop is the perfect spot for locals and tourists alike. It has a great selection of drinks, art on the walls, and light bites to satisfy hunger pangs.
Back Alley is a place to try. Super cute coffee/wine bar. Where the back has merchandise for purchase. Though they may seem packed, they spin out drinks pretty quickly. Just be a smidge patient. That said, the service overall is very polite. I went for coffee and then a couple hours later when back for a gluten free coffee cake and the worker (maybe owner(?)) remembered me. Give it a try and support local!

This cute little coffee shop and store is so good. I’ve been the last two morning and got a mocha latte. The coffee is so fresh tasting and my kiddos loved playing on the old school pac man machine. I love that they have gluten free options too. Coffee crumb cake, carrot cake and key lime pie gluten free desserts. A must go every time we are here now. 😃

Very good cup of coffee and gluten-free cakes! Service here was wonderful. We enjoyed getting our breakfast and walking over to the pier to sit, but there was also seating right outside of this place. I was also really happy with the store which had reasonably priced items that came in handy (like slippers...didn't think to bring any, but the hard, cold floors in the place we stayed made it a very worthwhile purchase).

The family and I really liked this place. Kids actually gave it 6 stars. My son really liked the waffle cone, because it did not fall apart like the ice cream shop the night before. I wish parking was easier, but what are you going to do. Ice cream was great. All four of us enjoyed all that we ordered. Would definitely go back and recommend.

Lots of choices. Several dairy free options. The dairy free mango sorbet is the best. We had a banana split with mango, orange cream sickle, and key lime cheesecake. Also, we had an ice cream nachos. It is three flavors, waffle chips, whip cream, toppings of choice, and drizzles. Prices are fair. Well worth the visit.
Julianne C — Google review
Good ice cream. Friendly staff. However EMPLOYEES WERE NOT WEARING MASKS. I would suggest avoiding this business until after the pandemic. The nice high school aged girls behind the counter were courteous and friendly with our kids. When I asked why they weren't wearing masks one said that Bradenton Beach didn't require them. Although not legally required to wear them by choosing not to this business is putting both employees and customers at risk of infection. This seems like an unwise business decision and frankly unhealthy to be serving food without masks at the height of the pandemic. It makes me question the judgment of the ownership--what other poor decisions could they be making that aren't visible to the public? Can we trust the safety of the food preparation?
Brad K — Google review
Nothing fantastic about this ice creamery. Have a good selection of flavors. Unfortunately they do not do samples. We asked a couple times to be sure. They got a nice inside area now, but no bathrooms. Doesn’t disappoint but not brag-able. It’s nice it’s in a walking distance from some of the beaches. Working are always nice. They do not do dipped cones, however they have fancy waffle cones. I payed $6 for what you see. Still, no bathrooms and samples kinda suck.
Jayda O — Google review
This place has great air-conditioning and some indoor seating. It was perfect to stop in, have some ice cream, and cool off from the mid-day sun. Based on other reviews I may have been there on an off day, because the chocolate and bannana flavors had a crystallized texture to them. I don't know if the temp got too cold in their freezer, but it wasn't very good. The coconut was delicious and creamy though. The prices are a little high here, but not outrageous. The menu layout is a little confusing if you haven't been in before. At the entrance to the lineup there was a hand written menu that, on the day I was there, was so full of selections it was difficult to tell which price went to which item. The prices were also not written next to the bowls or cones. Later I saw that, past where the cashier station is, there is a full menu with prices printed out. The person behind the counter helped me out, but it would have been nice if that menu was situated before you make an order.

Pizza Social is a laid-back restaurant located on Pine Avenue in Anna Maria Island, offering a cozy dining space and outdoor seating. The highlight of the place is its large turquoise brick oven from Italy, used to create delicious pizzas with bubbly, charred crusts. Their signature pizza features Italian sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, red onion, bell peppers and mozzarella. Whether you dine in or take out, Pizza Social provides a variety of topping options and also offers gluten-free choices.
One of the better slices of pizza I've had. My kids and wife loved the taste. Better than we expected. We are not local to the area but we would definitely come back. I'd guess it's the best pizza in the area. The staff was amazing. Also they have good fountain pop.

100% Recommend! Pizza Social is the best pizza on Anna Maria Island hands down located on 308 Pine ave. (The North end of AMI) From the moment we walked in the door, we could tell it was going to be good! Dave was kind enough to explain that the dough is fresh made in house and is 00 dough. This is great for someone who is type 2 diabetic like myself. My wife and I ordered 2 pizzas the Meat lovers and the Hawaiian! The sauce was perfectly portioned and the crust was thin and crispy. We also ordered two salads a ceaser and a greek. Both had lots of dressing and topping were plenty! If you are on vacation or locals to Anna Maria Island you have to check this place out! You can also pick up your pizza which is great! A lot of vacationers were grabbing their pizza on their rental golf carts! The other staff were friendly and the food came out quickly! We will be back 🙌

My sister and I came to Social Pizza after spending the day out on Anna Maria Island and we were not disappointed! Upon arriving we were greeted by the staff and ordered two 10” pizzas; I ordered the Social which was absolutely delicious! My sister ordered the same pizza however with vegan cheese. We were thrilled that the restaurant were able to accommodate her dairy allergy! I loved the fact that they use a stone oven to bake their pizza so you get that authentic, fresh and crispy crust texture and robust flavor. The toppings were fresh as well and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very chill with a beach-like vibe. This restaurant is now a favorite spot for us and we will be returning! Anyone who is a pizza lover — Social Pizza is a must try! Thank you Social Pizza and team. 🍕

Extremely busy venue, but down to a process for ordering. Have to wait a solid bit, but you can stagger the wait with salads and drinks which are available instantly. The pizza is cooked perfectly in a stone oven and then drizzled with your favorite topping. An excellent pizza for being in the heart of Anna Maria.

The pizza here is fantastic, fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The owner is so friendly and welcoming. He even gave my daughter crayons and a coloring page so we could take our time looking over the menu. Great food, great atmosphere, and great people, we’ll definitely be back!

Pizzas that rates right up there with those we have had in Italy! Freshest ingredients (Italian sausage to swoon over), homemade sauce, and amazing crust! Finest ingredients and all flour is 100% imported Italian 00 flour - a real blessing for those of us who cannot tolerate our American GMO flours at all.💕 let’s don’t forget that beast of the pizza oven- bubbly goodness in minutes….our group had 3 ‘AMI’ pizzas and simply raved with each bite! Don’t forget to bring your own bottle of wine to complement this delicious pizza! Super casual atmosphere and fun, caring, energetic staff. We come to AMI for a week at least once a year, and we make this place a 2 time stop every time😋

I paid $20 for a 10” cheese pizza (extra cheese) and a fountain drink which is kind of a lot. That being said, the pizza was delicious and I would pay $500 to get the recipe for the sauce. Insanely good. Like really really good. The sauce is outstanding and I’m also a sucker for any woodfire pizza. But that sauce, man. The music was exceptionally loud. I’m out of state and back home again and I think I can still hear it. Wouldn’t kill them to dial it down a notch. Also, I have awful knees and the choices for seating were high-top tables inside and chairs outside that were oddly low to the ground. Not a quibble, just a heads up if you, like me, have not yet applied your Voltaren for the day.

Beach Bistro, located on Anna Maria Island, has been serving fine dining since 1985. The restaurant offers an upscale experience with a menu featuring Floridian cuisine and a wine list recognized by Wine Spectator as one of the best in the world.
One of the most amazing meals of my life! The food was incredible. Not cheap by any means but if you enjoy fine dining it’s quite an experience. It made for a very special birthday celebration for my wife.

This was just incredible from the moment we parked the car! We were confused on the menu online and how it all worked. We sat at the bar and were able to do A la carte, which was great for those not wanting so much food. Every bite of food we had was just amazing and I cannot recommend it enough. The real standout here might have been the service, though. Oscar, the bartender, was a pleasure to chat with, but every person we encountered here was just so nice and helpful. We truly loved every second of our experience.

Having lived and dined in various locations worldwide, I can confidently say that this dining experience is the finest I have encountered within a 50-mile radius of Tampa. While many establishments may receive high ratings, the exceptional quality, meticulous preparation, impeccable seasoning, and exquisite presentation of the food surpasses any other in the area. Additionally, the added bonus of a breathtaking view of the Gulf and the opportunity to witness a stunning sunset while enjoying this remarkable meal truly enhances the overall experience. The service provided was flawless. The only reason I deducted one star for the atmosphere is due to the noise level in the main dining area, which is caused by the limited space, numerous tables, and loud conversations among guests.

Omg!! Talk about the most amazing food and atmosphere on AMI!! Oscar was the most calm, kind, caring, and attentive server from beginning to end. The meal is not cheap or quick (you pay for the culinary experience). It is a 4 course tasting menu to die for, and we enjoyed it on the beach during sunset and fireworks! We all agreed that we could not have had a better meal anywhere else with the spectacular food, service, and view! We would give 100 stars if possible.

Unforgettable Romantic Dinner at Beach Bistro! My wife and I had a magical evening at Beach Bistro. We dined on the beach with our toes in the sand, enjoying a breathtaking sunset and delicious food. The four-course meal was incredible - every bite was bursting with flavor! The service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive. To top it all off, we strolled back to our resort along the beach after dinner. Highly recommend Beach Bistro for a special occasion or a romantic night out!

I heard a lot about this restaurant, it turned out to be very popular and it was difficult to reserve a table. Because of that my expectations were much higher. For such an expensive restaurant, I wanted a slightly more gourmet special meal. Our table was right on the beach, it made atmosphere beautiful and romantic. But the food was by far not delicious, a lot of salt, nothing special. I even had to change the dessert, it was not very tasty. But I didn't like the new one either. Atmosphere 5 stars Cleanliness 4 stars Service 4 stars Food 3.5 stars Pricing 2 stars

We enjoyed every bite of food. Drinks were great. I enjoyed the "new fashioned " smoked. My husband tried the Pirate Punch. This was worth the price. Sat on the beach. We had a beautiful view of the sunset. It was chilly out, and the restaurant provided all of us with throw blankets, a very nice touch, and attention to detail. Service was a little chopped up, and it seemed like they should have had more than one person handling the number of tables they had on the beach. That said, Matt was lovely and was hustling to do his best to keep everyone attended to.

amazing meal - large portions for a 4 course tasting menu never had such a big thing of seared foie in my life. the lamb was cooked perfectly and the sauce was sweet and salty. just right the desserts were great. chocolate tart is a must the lobster escargot is a must as well. the wine menu is extensive and the som is quite intelligent and a character! a good thing. maybe a little dated on the inside but - feels warm and intimate

Proximity is everything
For day 5, we bundled attractions like Bayfront Park and Anna Maria General Store and other places within a close range, so that the time it takes to travel between all of them is less than one hour. Combined with the average time people spend there, your day should take about 8 hours.

Nestled at the northern tip of Anna Maria Island, Bayfront Park is a delightful family-friendly destination that promises fun and relaxation for all ages. With its inviting playground featuring slides, ramps, and fireman poles, children can enjoy hours of play while parents take in the stunning views of Tampa Bay and the iconic Sunshine Skyway Bridge. The park boasts ample picnic areas equipped with tables and grills, making it an ideal spot for a family cookout or a leisurely lunch by the water.
Lovely place to visit with family. The water is calm and there are trees by the beach so you can sit under the shade and also enjoy the beach water at the same time 😎. There are rest rooms available and many picnic areas are available as well. Totally recommend it💯 Update: we visited after hurricane Milton and we could see the damage done by the hurricane. The trees were damaged by hurricane. Hopefully they should grow back soon 🤞

This is a great beach access for those with limited mobility. You can park in front of the bathrooms, there are several shelters within a few feet apart, the distance to the water is very short. We went in June 2025, the water seemed deep, There was no shallow area like in other beaches. The water quickly came close to chest level. However, the calm bay waters were safe enough for a non-swimmer to enjoy a fun day under the sun. The water was so clear that we enjoyed the little fish swimming up to our feet. I saw several other people snorkeling. We got there on a Thursday around 12:30 pm and was able to find a parking spot. My family and I would love to go back there soon.

Really pretty, and fairly quiet beach. Nice covered picnic areas that can be reserved, and the restrooms are close by. Parking is free, but get there early, as parking spots go quick.
Otter G — Google review
Extremely beautiful park and beach! I highly recommend trying to get there as early as possible to get good parking and a free pavilion where we had shade, tables and a place to BBQ. The public bathrooms were good. Outdoor showers available by the bathrooms. The park is walking distance from the Anna Maria City Pier and we were able to go fishing there & enjoy the live music. The clear water of the beach is just priceless! Restaurants, stores and much more are just walking distance from the park. Parking is free!

Normally I'd give this wonderful beach ***5 stars, but... The showers are not working, neither are the bathrooms. Why on earth are the showers not operational 🤷🏽‍♀️ ***UPDATE! everything was operational today! Thank you park employees! We had another great day on the beach 🏖️ and were able to rinse off afterwards

It's such a fun little beach! We hit this beach up first when traveling to Anna Marie Island due to the rest of the beaches being packed with no parking. We had fun though exploring around and enjoying the sun. We found a star fish, two crabs, and some dead venus claim shells. All catch and release, of course, but a fun interactive area.

Beautiful park for family gatherings and picnics! Maybe the only park in Anna Maria island with big parking lot and not that crowded! They have clean restrooms, showers. Picnic area is pretty good can fit up to 15 people under roof. Also, there’s a lots of trees by the water and all area is shaded. Would recommend coming here!

General store
Located on Anna Maria Island, the Anna Maria General Store has been a beloved local spot since the 1950s. Under new ownership since 2010, it continues to be a must-visit destination for both locals and visitors. The store offers a modest selection of groceries, household items, and even features an attached ice cream parlor. It also serves as a convenient stop for beach essentials and souvenirs.
Amazing selection of ice cream in the ice cream shop. Fat Elvis, Coconut, Superman, Mackinac Island Fudge. About $7 for 2 scoops but that's the going rate on vacation. Pro Tip: Get one scoop of one flavor and another that goes well with it (instead of 2 scoops of the same kind).
Wendy K — Google review
My wife and I recently visited this general store on beautiful Anna Maria Island near Bradenton, FL and had a very pleasant experience. The store is centrally located on historic Pine Avenue on the north side of the island near the pier, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, the store includes Dips ice cream area in the front, colorful baseball-type hats and every kind of basic item you'd ever need in such a General Store, the floors are cool old-historic style wood floors, has the "feel" of an old historic general store, has a full-service deli-grill with a full array of deli items, sandwiches, yummy bakery items, granoli-type bars/crackers, beverages, etc., friendly employees, a restroom, and a big, relaxing area for sitting and eating or drinking what you buy in the store.
Craig K — Google review
The store, service, and food here are absolutely amazing — I was so happy with everything. The staff were incredibly kind, and my lunch was fabulous. This place truly deserves an A+++! Unfortunately, my day was ruined the moment I walked out and found a parking ticket on my car. While this isn’t the store’s fault, it left me with a very negative impression of Anna Maria Island. I had carefully tried to follow the signs to keep “all four wheels off the road,” but in doing so I unknowingly pulled too far to the right, onto what turned out to be a flat white sidewalk that blends into the sand. With no cars around me, I had no idea I was doing anything wrong. What bothers me most is how this was handled. Instead of simply asking me to adjust my car a few inches, the police went straight to a ticket. I paid the fine immediately, but I left feeling like enforcement here is more about revenue than community — which feels desperate for such a beautiful island. Sadly, it gives visitors like me a reason not to come back, and that’s unfair to wonderful businesses like this one.
Chasity L — Google review
When I’m on the island I always go to the general store and I find everyone very pleasant and very helpful. The tall older man especially goes out of his way to be helpful. The younger man Paul is very hot is he single?
Karen H — Google review
The ice cream and the ice cream staff are great. However, the manager or clerk at the General Store was extremely unprofessional, impolite, and shockingly rude. This level of behavior is unacceptable for any customer-facing role. I will not be returning, and I recommend others take the short drive to Publix instead.

Go to store when on Anna Maria island for work which I used to grab a quick snack. But also offers other things even has an ice cream section and a cool cards collection .

Beach Bums Recreational Rentals & Gift Shop is a one-stop destination for all your beach equipment needs. From paddleboards and kayaks to bikes and golf carts, they have everything you need for a fun day at the beach. Located on Anna Maria off the Gulf coast, it's conveniently situated near popular travel destinations like Sarasota and Bradenton Beach. Customers rave about their top-notch customer service, quick rental process, and friendly staff.
We rented a 7' beach umbrella that was absolutely the best we have ever had. They delivered it to the resort, so it was waiting for us when we arrived and picked it up the evening before our departure. All this is cheaper than buying even a cheap umbrella at Walmart. We went to their shop later in the week to check out beach chairs for our next visit and found just what we wanted again for a very reasonable price. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We'll be doing business with them again for sure.
DeWitt M — Google review
Overall, a good experience. The golf cart crapped out on us half way through our last day. They were quick to replace (albeit, it wasn’t a lux like we’d rented, but it’s okay) I called about a week later for an itemized receipt. The girl on the phone seemed really hesitant to want spend the time to find it and send… but she begrudgingly grabbed my email and I never heard back. Would be nice if customer service extended beyond the time you paid the bill.
Becky C — Google review
It was very easy, rented a bike just by calling, they delivered it at the resort I was staying in. There was no need to be present during the delivery. It was very convenient, good rates and pleasant people to speak too. Will use again.

Rented some nice beach chairs and the best (very sturdy!) umbrella at the last minute on a busy Saturday on Labor Day weekend. Seriously the best umbrella ever. Great experience at the shop, just kind and helpful people.

Rented a moke from beach bums this past week and they were nothing short of awesome! Everyone who works here are super friendly, we left it nightly as we were staying at a hotel and every morning whoever was working made sure to ask if everything was good and made sure to tell us to have a good day! We come multiple times a year and they will definitely be our go to from now on for rentals!
Tyler B — Google review
Rented 5 bicycles from Beach Bums. Spoke with Dirk on the phone before arriving to make our arrangements to have bikes delivered and picked up, which was a breeze. The bicycles were waiting for us in the driveway when we arrived. Their website claims that "all returned bicycles are serviced by their repair team", and I have absolutely no problem believing that. Bikes were all in tip top condition and came with locks, lights, a basket, and even a squeaker parrot on the handlebars to warn others of your approach as you rode. Bicycles are a MUST when staying on AMI. We were able to get everywhere we needed to go with our bikes or the free trolley. Dirk and co were so pleasant to work with and the bikes were in perfect condition. This company also offered the best prices I could find on the island. Great experience all around!

Easiest golf cart rental experience. We were literally in and out in less than 5 minutes with our reservation. Everything was explained to us, and had top notch customer service. Will be our place of choice for the future. Think Tony was his name, at least I hope it was. I'm terrible with names but He was awesome. (If he sees this review, make sure I got the name right so I can fix this review) Took our picture and remembered us each time we drove by the shop lol. Always asked us if we were good when we saw him.

Loved renting the surrie bike from Beach Bums! We walked in and were served right away - we rented the bike for an hour and they suggested a route to go. It was a lot of fun and the price was great for the hour rental! Would do it again for sure

Local history museum
The Anna Maria Island Historical Society is a museum housed in a 1920s icehouse that showcases the history of the local area as well as the city's original jail. Visitors can explore exhibits featuring everyday artifacts from former island inhabitants, offering an educational opportunity for children to learn about life in earlier times. Admission is free, with donations accepted, and a small souvenir/gift shop is available on-site.
What a neat piece of history on the island. The home was once on the end of the pier. After the home was blown into the bay it was moved to another location on the island and remained for 75 years. Truly amazing for a wood structure. Then the community came to the rescue and moved it to its present location on N Shore where it’s available for viewing anytime from the outside or 3 hrs a day during the week. Lots of folks deserve credit for rehabbing the home. And the jail is original. Pretty cool.

To get a feel for the island and understand some of the architecture and people a good place to start your vacation is at the AMI museum on Pine st. We spent about 45 minutes going thru the museum, jail and cottage. Karen was full of interesting facts and stories. Glad we stopped by. It was a fun afternoon.

This was a cute little free museum. Lots of artifacts and history. There is a tiny gift store, too. The volunteer working there was super friendly and helpful. She gave us tips on where to eat that paid off! The jail is interesting and offers free air conditioning! Oh and there are some movies that were in part filmed on Anna Maria Island. Might be fun to watch them for your trip. See photos for the movie names.

Visited November of 2021. Was passing thru Sarasota en-route to Ana Maria Island. On the 2nd day on the island me and my family visited the old city jailhouse, very much "still" intact. Highly recommend to visit this piece of history if in the area. Just make sure to bring yourself and an empty drive to take plenty of photos : ) And don't forget to walk past behind the jailhouse as you will find a different spot to take photos with your friends, family and loved ones.

It was very informative about the history of the island. There were lots of artifacts inside and it was neat to see the old jail outside. I never knew how tiny of a jail Anna Maria had, and how it was ran was even more interesting. Come and visit to see more for yourself!

Neat little museum that tells you about the history of Anna Maria Island. Free entry (donations accepted). A guide was there for questions. Really awesome collection of everyday artifacts from old island inhabitants. Could be a great learning opportunity for kids about how life used to be back in the day. Had a small souvenir/gift shop. The jail cell outside is a great photo opportunity. There is a small cabin next door too that is set up how it would have been in the past. Great stop for families or anyone interested in times past. Will put things into perspective on how far we've come when you're surrounded everywhere else by the commercial touristy aspects of the island.

Per their response: She was standing there but never once offered or asked if I needed anything or assisted besides the looks and short remarks. Obviously, I’m not the only one that has experienced the rudeness (several from just within the last year). And I know for a fact this particular item wasn’t looked at because it came from the back and was still folded in its original form. Partially my fault for being in a rush (literally the entire family was packed in the car) and having to wait for them to write allll my info down as the card machine was down. I guess the customers are the only ones that should be understanding and flexible. I should have known to check it. But, poor customer service to not acknowledge fault on your end. If boutiques want to last, they need to learn to keep up with chain customer service and have some etiquette. Word of mouth is your friend! Best of luck. Original: Had a similar experience as the post above me. Apparently we arrived close to closing, without realizing it. We were made to feel very uncomfortable as one employee stood at the entrance of the changing room and gave us rude looks and remarks. I ended up leaving that night with nothing. I should have stuck to my guns, but went back for something that caught my eye. Unpacked this, looked it over, and found this defect. Obviously a manufacturing defect that I didn’t catch in my hurry to buy it as we were leaving town, their card machine was down, and other things happening at once. Called to mention it and was told no because I have taken the tag off (not in this location), even though it was within a month. Make sure you double check everything you buy from here and don’t make a costly error like I did. I now know to only shop at pink & navy next year… as they were SUPER friendly, helpful, held an item for me until I could get there, and offer a military discount.

Wow, I received thoughtful, white-glove service at Island Cabana yesterday. The assistant understood my taste immediately and made on-point suggestions. We visit AMI every year for labor day weekend and love shopping here! They have so many vibrant, coastal pieces. My teenage daughter and I both had lots of fun trying on and buying our beautiful finds. The entire staff was polite, professional, and especially Jennifer was very personable and attentive. She made lots of recommendations and also took the time to get to know us. This kind of outstanding service is unheard of these days. We'll definitely continue shopping here in the future.

Large variety of super cute women’s brands - and of course tons of Lilly Pulitzer! I’m 8 months pregnant and the manager offered to hold my big heavy tote bag purse behind the counter so I didn’t have to lug it around. Above and beyond customer service. Will def go back again!

Perico Preserve is an amazing nature preserve that features marshes and forests, as well as a bird sanctuary. The trails are perfect for hikers and cyclists, who will be able to see tons of different birds while they're here.
Here’s a five-star review for Perico Preserve in Bradenton, FL, written in a natural and enthusiastic tone: --- I can’t say enough good things about Perico Preserve in Bradenton! This place is an absolute gem for anyone who loves nature, peace, and a great walk. The 1.5-mile loop trail is perfect—easy enough for all ages but still feels like a little adventure with its winding paths, boardwalks, and stunning views of the bayou. The wildlife here is incredible; I’ve spotted white pelicans, herons, egrets, and even jumping mullet in the water—it’s like a front-row seat to nature’s show! The preserve is beautifully maintained, with thoughtful touches like swings along the trail and picnic tables near the parking lot. It’s clear a lot of love has gone into restoring this spot, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite places to unwind. No dogs or bikes allowed, which keeps it serene and focused on the birds and scenery. If you’re in Bradenton, do yourself a favor and visit Perico Preserve—you won’t be disappointed! Five stars all the way. Amy Jones, local real estate broker with Coastal Key Realty.

The trails are both shaded & open - combination. Elite neighborhood of houses surrounds this preserve. People running, biking & walking. There is a path that connects to Robinson Preserve so you can get A LOT OF MILES!!! Very clean, paved side walk and sand paths. In the mangroves saw horse shoe crabs mating, lots of crabs, full Of jumping mullet fish. At Robinson Preserve someone in a golf cart will drive around to make sure there is no one left after sunset…

Beautiful preserve in Bradenton linked to Robinson preserve. Excellent trails for a long or short hike. Some shade. Good for birdwatching. Plenty of parking.

Great well-maintained park. We walked about 1.5 miles, mostly around a lake. Very little shade. Nice lookout platforms, benches, and even 2 covered swinging benches that were relaxing. The large lake has a small island with man made nest platforms, which is nice, but it was covered in fake plastic flamingoes, which was a little weird. Great preserve with interpretive signs. Loved it.

Wow! This is the most beautiful preserve i’ve visited in Florida so far! Very serene and quiet. Free entry, sadly no dogs are allowed, no public restrooms but there’s a porta potty in the parking lot. Limited parking so there’s a possibility you’ll have to wait on the weekends if it’s busy! Overall a very nice nature trail to either walk or bike!
K S — Google review
Perico Preserve, when combined with Robinson Preserve is a place you really want to check out if you are in the area. There are about 7 miles worth of cycling between the 2 preserves. The trails are easy to navigate through on a hybrid bike. Plenty of casual riders on the trails. There are also trails specifically set aside for walking by parking your bike at the starting points. This gives walkers the best t opportunity to view wildlife. If you’re adventurous, there is the option of renting a kayak and paddling through the preserve. 3 great options or do them all!

North Shore Cafe is a charming family-owned bistro located on Pine Avenue in Anna Maria Island. This cozy beach cafe offers a variety of handcrafted beverages, including fresh coffee, specialty teas, smoothies, and alcoholic drinks. The menu features nutritious breakfast options like avocado toast and acai bowls, as well as light lunch alternatives such as basic sandwiches. Visitors can enjoy their drinks and meals in the beautiful outdoor waterfront area or the quaint backyard patio overlooking the inlet.
My Husband's iced vanilla latte was delicious, and the frappe espresso with caramel was a perfect treat. Beyond the drinks, the place itself is absolutely adorable and has such a great vibe. It's clear why it's so popular!

Everything we had was fine! I enjoyed a handcrafted Iced Chai here that was light and refreshing for a day at the beach, and we started our day with some bagels. We only wish they had some other options, but by 10am (when we arrived) most of the popular food options were sold out.

I liked this place for its coffee and initially my experience was good (yesterday). However, today, I came back and I had the misfortune of finding a big broken piece of plastic (cup lid) that was not from my cup in my frappe, which I almost confused with ice. This is for future references for North Shore to take more precautions when prepping their orders and clients when consuming their products. I hope no one comes across something like this.

I had the avocado toast with poached eggs and chili flakes I would recommend getting it on the sourdough, it’s thick enough to hold everything. She got the Yo Bowl, which was a big portion and worth the price in my opinion. Both things were fresh and really good. Prices are about what you’d expect for the area while on vacation. Great little joint to start the day.

You walk in the back and order at the walk up window. They have a lot of seating outside. I got an iced hazelnut latte and the acąí bowl. Both are very good, and you get a big serving!

We ordered a ham and cheese croissant and a hemp acai bowl. My daughter's response to the croissant was "that was not filling at all" The acai bowl LOOKED amazing but tasted Meh. It was ice cold and really not flavorful except for the toppings.

Great place to start the day in Anna Maria! Super good coffee and the açaí bowls are huge!

Ana Maria island has few good iced coffee spots but this one met the brief. The ingredients were god quality overall and service is great. Outdoors only but the area is very cute to sit outside, with a view of a lagoon/canal thing and plenty of nice comfy chairs to relax in. With a bit of barista training the coffee here could really shine brighter.

The Cheesecake Cutie & Cafe is a recent discovery on Anna Maria Island, offering more than just cheesecake. Despite its location in a strip mall near Publix, the restaurant has become a favorite spot for visitors due to its delicious food and accessible location. The menu features fresh local ingredients with a focus on farm-to-table and ocean-to-table dining. It's definitely worth visiting for both the cheesecake and other delectable dishes during your trip to the island.
We have been here several times, initially for the cheesecakes, but the coffee n sandwiches blew us away. The breakfast sandwich is HUGE! Our favorite, The Turkey is crave worthy. The Pretzel bun is perfect n comes out warm. The bacon is perfectly crispy, never soggy or undercooked. And the combination of flavors truly makes us come back. The coffee is so good, we actually buy the bags to have at home. But overall, this is a hidden gem, super clean with great quality food. And you'll love Jen n her staff, they always rember us! Don't miss this place!

My 1st time here, highly recommended by my son. I ordered the cold brew honey cinnamon cold foam coffee- it was amazing. And I ordered the yogurt with homemade granola, blueberries, & bananas. I will be returning tomorrow morning for the same 2 items. The truffle chocolates looked amazing. Remember- they close at 2:00 pm so get there before them. You will want to enjoy what they have to offer. I also bought home made dog biscuits. Stella loves them. And a bag of coffee beans for my son

Prepare Your Taste Buds for Paradise! From the moment our family of eighteen vacationers stepped into the Cheesecake Cutie & Cafe, we knew we had stumbled upon something truly special. What followed was an experience so delightful, we simply had to return the very next day! This isn't just a cafe; it's a haven of incredible flavors, heartwarming hospitality, and a genuine commitment to the community. Let's start with the star of the show: the Cheesecakes. Calling them "outstanding" feels like an understatement. Each slice is a creamy, dreamy masterpiece, boasting a perfect balance of rich flavor and delicate texture. From classic favorites to innovative and exciting creations, there's a cheesecake to tantalize every palate. Our large group sampled a wide variety, and every single one was met with enthusiastic praise. But don't let the name fool you – the Sandwiches here are nothing short of unbelievable! Packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients and crafted with care, these aren't your average breakfast & lunchtime bites. They are substantial, flavorful, and leave you completely satisfied. Whether you're craving a classic deli creation or something a little more adventurous, the Cheesecake Cutie & Cafe has you covered. And for those with a sweet tooth beyond cheesecake, prepare to be delighted by their array of other sweet treats. Each one is a testament to their dedication to quality and deliciousness. Now, let's talk about the fuel that powers this delightful establishment: the Coffee. It's simply phenomenal. As a dedicated coffee lover, I can wholeheartedly recommend their special house cold brew. It's smooth, rich, and the perfect pick-me-up any time of day. You cannot leave without a "Cheesecake Latte", a house special! Beyond the exceptional food and drinks, what truly sets the Cheesecake Cutie & Cafe apart are the owners. They are, without a doubt, the most wonderful people you could hope to meet. Their warmth and genuine care for their customers create an inviting and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like part of their family. They clearly pour their hearts and souls into their cafe, and it shines through in every aspect of the experience. As vacationers, we were particularly touched to learn about their donations of leftover food, dishwashing and laundry, and sundry items to local families. This commitment to their community is truly admirable and speaks volumes about their character. It's heartwarming to support a business that not only provides incredible food but also gives back in such a meaningful way. The fact that our family of eighteen, with varying tastes and preferences, enjoyed our experience so much that we returned the next morning for breakfast speaks for itself. Their breakfast offerings were just as impressive, setting us up perfectly for another day of our vacation. Finally, for anyone with dietary restrictions, I must give a special shout-out to their HIGHLY RECOMMENDED CELIAC / GLUTEN FREE ITEMS! It can be a challenge to find delicious and safe gluten-free options, but the Cheesecake Cutie & Cafe has truly excelled in this area. Our gluten-free family members were thrilled with the variety and quality of the choices available. In conclusion, the Cheesecake Cutie & Cafe is more than just a place to eat; it's an experience. From the outstanding cheesecakes and unbelievable sandwiches to the phenomenal coffee and the heartwarming hospitality of the owners, every aspect is top-notch. If you find yourself in the area (and even if you don't!), make the trip. You won't be disappointed. This gem of a cafe is a must-visit, and these "Cheeseheads" from Wisconsin can't wait for our next opportunity to return!

Cute little cafe with a limited menu, but the cheesecake bites are definitely the highlight, rich, creamy, and beautifully presented. The overall experience was decent, though nothing extraordinary. If you’re in the area and craving a sweet treat, it’s worth a quick stop.

Husband and I stopped in for breakfast during our AMI stay on 7/8/25. It is super convenient for anyone staying close by - we were able to walk to it in under 10 minutes. I don’t do fancy coffees, but they had a lot to offer. I just went with an iced coffee with SF caramel. It was delicious and picture perfect. My husband had the “Best Bacon Sandwich”. He didn’t love it (personal preference - just not a fan of bacon jam), but it was good! The portion size was huge. I tried it and thoroughly enjoyed it. We also got a plain cheesecake…very good as well. Took half home and enjoyed later. Ended up going back again on 7/9.

We had a really nice lunch here today away from the hustle and bustle of the beaches. I had their Chicken with Hot Sauce and creamy Coleslaw sandwich and my husband had their BLT, both were huge and delicious. Definitely worth a trip here for a classic sandwich but I hear their breakfast sandwiches are also very good. They are known for their beautiful little individual Cheesecakes, that's for our next vist.

Absolutely delicious gourmet sandwiches (such as the “Cool As A Cucumber” sandwich-amazing! or the Cordon "Ramsey" Blu). My 11 year old daughter said the cucumber sandwich was the best sandwich she has ever had. I agree. We could eat here everyday. Do not miss the chocolate covered “cheesecake truffles", the buckeye and cookie dough were our favorite! And the pumpkin and key lime cutie cheesecakes are outstanding as well. The owner knows her stuff and has a gift.

Just got the small cheesecakes today for the first time ever while visiting Anna Maria and omg they are so good! Got the toasted coconut and the lemon blueberry. Nice thick cheesecake and love the small size options they have. Hope I can stop in one more time before I head back to dreary Ohio
