Aquarium
Zoos & Aquariums
Non-profit organization
Mystic Aquarium is a popular interactive aquarium featuring a variety of marine life, including beluga whales, African penguins, sea lions, and sharks. The aquarium offers unique exhibits such as Steller sea lions and beluga whales that are rarely seen in other parts of the country. Visitors can also explore the Olde Mistick Village in Stonington for dining, shopping, and entertainment options.
It was a fantastic experience. It's a bit pricey, but when you consider the amount of animals they take care of, you get it. It was $82 just for my child and I to get in, to give you a perspective. I loved the Beluga whales, the seal show was adorable and the indoor gallery area was a fun experience. The keepers located throughout were very informative and gladly answered any and all questions. I highly recommend this aquarium.
Naughty L — Google review
Mystic Aquarium is an excellent spot for children, especially between the ages of 4 and early teens. The exhibits are engaging, and the attractions they do have are very well done. The sea lion show is free, fun, and worth planning around—just make sure to check the schedule ahead of time. Since it’s outdoors, you’ll also want to be mindful of the weather. While I was a little disappointed with the overall size of the aquarium, what’s here is high quality. Be prepared though—most extras cost money, so definitely bring your wallet. With more funding and awareness, this place has the potential to grow into an even larger attraction. Overall, it’s still a great family experience and well worth a visit.
Thomas E — Google review
Fantastic experience at the Mystic Aquarium. It is a lot smaller than I expected and the majority of the exhibitions are outdoors so thankfully, we choose the perfect sunny day to visit. Our highlights were seeing the Beluga whales swimming about outside and seeing the sea turtle inside. We also loved that they had a Del's Lemonade stand by the gift shop. A lovely little treat on our way out. Definitely a fantastic experience with the family. Now for my standard comments. Parking is plentiful out front and free. Location is well kept and clean. Very comfortable walking outside assuming the weather is good. Indoor exhibits never got too crazy, at least during the time that we were there.
Christine L — Google review
Where do I begin, this Aquarium is the best I've been to. The staff are all so friendly, and care so much about each and every animal in the facility. They have staff stationed at the enclosures in case you have any questions on a particular animal or exhibit, and they are so knowlegable. The Beluga whales are so cool, and almost seem like they interact with anyone who's at the glass and seeing everything they do for them is a bonus! The Main gallery has so many different tanks with all kinds of aquatic life and detailed plaques on each one, with any information you might want to know about a specific species. They even have not one.. but two touch tanks! This Aquarium is the perfect spot for a family day trip, the staff at the touch tanks were so friendly making sure any kid that wanted to participate was allowed the opportunity to do so and the layout was so cool to walk through. The pricing is extremely fair for what you get to do and see. The photo you they take when you enter of you and your family is 100% worth the 35 dollars to have it as a memento. Parking is a breeze and highway access is easy as well. I would give this aquarium 6 stars if I could, and my family and myself cannot wait to go back!
Jason J — Google review
Sad to say we feel like it wasn't what we were expecting. The tour of the whole place took us under an hour. And it was fifty one dollars per person. We do understand it's a research facility. But I think they should update their exhibits. And maybe offer a few more attractions without the extra cost. I had my first virtual reality experience, it was pretty cool. But it was at a $9 extra fee per person. The beluga whales are cool, and so are the african penguins. And the sea lion seals, but I feel like those are the only three real attractions that they had.
Royden G — Google review
This aquarium is so nice, not too big to navigate and the staff is really super friendly. I only gave 4 stars because we went during the start of the NorEaster last weekend and it was not enjoyable for my kids, unfortunately. I must add that the food at their cafe was very good - was impressed with the quality, actually. Better weather def would have made for a better experience, but a nice place to go with the fam for sure!
Jessica S — Google review
A small but phenomenal aquarium. I love it here. They work so hard to make the experience fun and engaging for everyone. The sea lions show is great for kids, but also anyone of any age. Lots of amazing fish and exhibits. They also do great work with animals that are in need of rehabilitation. We were a large group and they were super accommodating. Would 100% recommend this.
Morgan B — Google review
I visited Mystic Aquarium for the first time last summer and had such a great experience! There was no waiting line to get in, which was a huge plus. The staff members were absolutely wonderful—so friendly and helpful throughout the visit. We toured the whole aquarium and really enjoyed seeing all the exhibits. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to catch one of the shows, but we did try the virtual reality experience (around $5–10 extra) and it was fantastic! Definitely worth it. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in Connecticut.

The Velvet Mill is a historic brick factory that used to produce velvets in the late 19th century with 300 broad looms and a staff of 450. Today, it houses a community of small businesses, creating an evocative space for visitors. The area also features two fantastic wineries, Stonington Vineyards and Saltwater Farm Vineyard, offering wine tastings and live music. Additionally, the mill hosts a cute marketplace where vendors sell handmade products.
This is my second time coming here with my friends on Thanksgiving weekend and it’s so much fun. So many local vendors and artisans selling the things they make, it makes for a great day of buying unique gifts for friends and family. Parking is somewhat limited, so prep ahead in advance if you have to do street parking.

Great stop! This place is huge with lots of antique shops, restaurants, art galleries, etc. We had a delicious lunch at Masa and many of the shop owners were very nice. I wish I could’ve checked out more shops, but some were closed (understandable for a Sunday morning) and we had limited time.

This is a very eclectic place that has nice indoor open spaces, many dining and beverage options as well as shopping and a great Indoor Farmers Market. Great for all ages you can spend a few hours a few minutes, there's so many nice shops as well as a great vibe in this place. If you're not local it's also adjacent to Stonington Borough and the point which is a nice place to hang out and watch the waves come in from Long Island Sound and barn Island.

This place has really grown up. It's better than ever. So maybe great shops and local folks seeking their wares. Awesome restaurants, too! Loved Dock 9!

The atmosphere is a world of its own, like entering a time capsule without leaving the comforts of now. Lovely shops, eateries, art studios, and unique offerings. Even if you dont want to buy anything, just wandering around is fun. My favorite Art Studio is Spirit Wind, second floor, but they are all awesome!

The establishment prides itself on being an integral part of the community and aims to provide a comfortable space for people of all ages to enjoy. Great coffee. Smoothie very good. I had protein shake with almond butter and it was amazing. Place is really cool. Definitely worth checking out.

Great place makes you feel like hanging out for a bit. You can kick back and relax in or outdoors. Very trendy cool spot for sure. The cappuccinos are damn good! 👍 if I lived closer I’d hit this spot more regularly for sure! Staff is nice 👍

Junk & Java is a gem of a cafe that exceeds expectations. The atmosphere is cozy and eclectic, with a fun and lively vibe. The menu offers a range of creative coffee drinks and delicious baked goods, with some standout items that left a lasting impression. The service was friendly and attentive, with knowledgeable staff happy to make recommendations. The only drawback was the limited seating, which could make it difficult to find a spot during peak hours. Overall, Junk & Java is a must-visit for coffee enthusiasts and foodies.
Deepnain K — Google review
Junk & Java is THE major hangout location on the CT/RI border. There are a few other coffeehouses, but none compare in terms of ambiance and such a fun staff of Baristas. The drinks and the pastries are all excellent, especially the bagels, but to me, where this place has been my base of operations whilst job searching the past few months, the gastronomic aspect is secondary to the friendly environment. And when you see so many students and professionals working while drinking their coffee, you’ll see why it is so popular; it’s well laid out and comfortable. Also, they have an adorable gift shop (the “Junk” part of the name). From the coffee, to the baked goods (I especially enjoy the whoopie pies) to the Baristas, Junk & Java is a unique experience that has no equal in our area and only a few comparisons in the many places I have lived in the United States. It is a must visit when you are in South County, RI.

Great coffee I would definitely recommend a cup. Smooth well defined espresso. Great place for a Cafe breakfast and eclectic atmosphere. Friendly and inviting
Paul S — Google review
The coffee is delicious! We also had a sprinkle donut that was out of this world- it’s got whipped cream instead of the traditional buttercream. It’s a bit chaotic (it’s busy and that’s great it means they are good!!) but they are efficient. Definitely a place worth frequenting if you’re a local and a place to stop by when you’re in town visiting!
Alyssa K — Google review
So delicious and fresh baked muffins! The coffee is great and they even have games to play with your friends or family while you enjoy your time

Bird watching area
Park
Napatree Point Conservation Area, established in 1945, is a coastal nature preserve known for bird nesting and migratory resting. The area offers various summer activities such as beach volleyball, surfcasting, and birdwatching. Nearby attractions include the historic Watch Hill Lighthouse and the Flying Horse Carousel. Visitors can also enjoy the luxurious Ocean House hotel with its elegant Verandah and croquet lessons.
I visited Napatree Conservation Point on a sunny May day and had a wonderful experience. The area offers a scenic hike of about 4–6 miles along the beach, making it perfect for nature lovers. The beach itself is beautiful, clean, and swimmable. There’s a free public restroom available, and a shower facility for $5, which is convenient after a swim or hike. It seems like an ideal picnic spot, especially in the late summer months. Nearby, there are charming craft shops, ice cream parlors, and beachy clothing boutiques that add to the relaxed, coastal vibe. I also spotted some rare birds while exploring, which was a delightful bonus. A great spot for a peaceful day out by the sea! There was two hour free parking until May 31.

Beautiful location, you can park the boats on one side where it's calmer. Walk over the hill to the ocean side. Very clean beach, located near Castle Hill. Great walking beach I.
Carole T — Google review
- about a 4 mile out and back walk along the shoreline with views of Watch Hill Point Lighthouse - Great for birdwatching and dog walking, bags are provided at the entrance - Parking is private during the summer at the trail entrance but you can park in front of the shops year round (about a 1 minute walk from the trail entrance). Parking at the trail is open during the offseason. - No bathrooms - I saw a seal off shore, they migrate north during the fall so that’s the best time of the year to see them in RI
Kelsey T — Google review
Heard that it was a great hidden gem, so wanted to check it out. It was indeed beautiful, but the setup is far from ideal. Parking for the beach is rough, either street parking that has a 2 hour limit and is a 10 minute walk to the beach (with a steep, sandy hill), or a lot that cost $50 and is a 15 minute walk with a steep, sandy hill. Didn’t see bathrooms. So if you’re a resident or staying locally, great beach. If you’re a day-tripper, just drive the extra 10 minutes over to Misquamicut.

It's a lovely area and beautiful stretch of beach BUT there is a limit on when dogs are allowed, even leashed, during peak times they will NOT 🚫 allow any dogs from 8am-6pm. Please note this.

Watch Hill Beach, also known as Carousel Beach, is a family-friendly destination located in the southwestern Rhode Island area. Absolutely love this beach ⛱️!! We've been going here for over 30 yrs and I still love it just as much. I enjoy the 2 hrs of free parking ;) on the street. It could cost up to 50-60$ dollars to park for the day. Beautiful harbor . Just a dream

One of the best beaches! Bay side for toddlers and ocean side for bigger waves. Parking in Watch Hill is a challenge so be prepared to pay or walk. Or find a friend with a boat!
Nicole E — Google review
I have been visiting Watch Hill Beach for seven years, and when my family and I first discovered it, we felt we had found a true treasure. Before I proceed with my review, I want to address some negative comments I’ve encountered regarding the locals. In my experience over the years, I have never encountered any rude locals; they have always been warm and welcoming. Like any destination, if you behave loudly and disruptively, you may not be welcomed. Now, regarding my review: We have always enjoyed our time there because of the friendly locals, delicious food and coffee, and the ability to relax while listening to the waves and watching families and friends enjoy themselves. I’ve always been very hesitant to go to the beach on July 4th because of how busy it can get. My best friend and I decided to go on July 4th 2025 and it did not disappoint us at all!!! We had such a great time, we found a great spot to sit back, relax, and enjoy. There is no beach like Watch Hill. I’ve traveled to many of them, but none compare to this one. Also, shout out to the parking attendants who do a phenomenal job ensuring all the cars are parked correctly and the ease of leaving the parking lot. Thank you!!

So happy to have a breakfast spot in Westerly RI. From time we walked in until we left, it was an amazing experience. OMG! I ate the whole thing!!!! I was in the area and stopped by here on accident. I am so so glad I did. I was greeted soon after I entered a very busy dining area and I chose to sit at the counter. I ended up ordering the Irish Eggs Benedict with scrambled eggs instead of poached. Food arrived in ten minutes hot and smelling so good. The first bite hooked me! The spices and sauce used in this dish enhanced the delicious flavors of the main ingredients. I chewed each bite like it was my last until it really was 😢 I didn’t want it to end! I WILL BE BACK! With family and friends. Thank you for the best meal ever!!!!!!

This was our first time here and probably our last. The cafe is small and cluttered with stuff. First impresion walking through the door is this place needs a serious renovation. Our waitress was very pleasant and took our order quickly but our food was slow to come out. My wife said her eggs were cold and bacon was almost burnt. She did not like her coffee. I had the corn beef hash, Kielbasa, and blueberry muffin. My muffin was very good, Kielbasa slightly burnt, and the hash was very small and almost burnt but I liked it. The meals was under 25 dollars which was nice.

Breakfast here never disappoints. So delicious every time! Freshly cooked and quality and quantity is perfect. The French toast stuffed with apples and cinnamon and whipped butter were a huge hit my son. And the bacon he said was so good! Colleen’s Irish Benedict with corn beef hash is my go to here. So yummy!!! The owner is friendly and always helping out when he isn’t cooking.

The Cooked Goose is a popular spot in Misquamicut, RI, known for its delicious American breakfast and lunch options as well as housemade baked goods. Situated conveniently on the way to Westerly's famous beaches, this eatery offers spacious indoor and outdoor seating to accommodate the crowds, especially during the busy summer months. Despite its unassuming exterior, The Cooked Goose has become a local favorite due to its excellent service and welcoming atmosphere.
Quaint location with family type atmosphere. Friendly service from knowledgeable waitstaff. Cozy gas fireplace in the corner made the restaurant very cozy. Food was tasty and there were good vegan and gluten free options.

Just wanted to share my past experiences with The Cooked Goose...one of our favorite breakfast or lunch restaurants in watch hill...and close by to my sister's house in watch hill...we were here at least once a week for many, many years...always had outstanding experience with service, staff and amazing tasteful fresh foods:) unfortunately, we haven't been here in over 6 months now because of a structure fire and its been temporarily closed for sometime now to rebuild...we can't wait til it reopens As we miss this restaurant and its friendly staff and outstanding tasteful meals:)

By far the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. The bread was so fresh and delicious. My Husband ordered a breakfast burrito and he said it was very good! The waitress was very friendly and attentive. We weren’t a huge fan of the home fries, thought they were too soggy but everything else was amazing.

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at The Cooked Goose! Our server, Maddy, was exceptional. She provided outstanding service and made an excellent suggestion for the lobster roll, which turned out to be one of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend this place and make sure to ask for Maddy for the best recommendations!

Best breakfast in westerly by a ways. Might be the best in New England. Some unique menu items that are great(truffled eggs) but they're also outstanding at the standards(eggs bene, sausage and gravy) The lunch just falls a tiny bit flat after you've had the breakfast there. But really can't say enough good things about this place. I truly look forward to going there every time I'm in westerly. So pleasant and so good and so consistent.

Misquamicut State Beach, located in the village of Misquamicut in the Town of Westerly, offers a half-mile stretch of sandy beachfront and modern facilities including pavilions, concessions, outdoor showers, and shade gazebos. It is a popular destination for both locals and non-residents during the summer months. The beach area spans about half a mile and provides ample space for visitors to enjoy the sun and sand.
Tuesday in July at 10AM had lots of parking. By 2PM, parking was more difficult. Mororhomes under 30ft can park here if there is room or grass. The seagulls here will sneak up and steal food out of your hand. Clean, cool water with nice soft sand.

Went on a week day in May. Very pretty view. Free parking and not many people around. Fun place to have a picnic or fly a kite. Some fun shells and cool rocks to collect. Definitely not fit for swimming this time of year but if you are in the area for sure worth checking out. Beach was overall clean without litter.

A nice beach. Good staff. Good quality. Can be VERY BUSY. so be prepared. The parking situation can be tough and a bit expensive, there is food there. Its pricey but good quality. Also some fun merchandise to buy.

This beach is a fantastic spot to enjoy time with family, friends, or even by yourself. The sand is clean, and there are lifeguards on duty for added safety. I noticed many Great Black-backed Gulls, so be careful with your food. Parking costs $20 (on Tuesday), and when I arrived around 2:30 PM, I was still able to find a spot. The water was beautiful and perfect for swimming.

There are lots of litter, and it's quite irritating that it's only free after 6 instead of 5 now. It's one of those beaches that is pretty rocky, full of seaweed, and always busy. But, it's a beach...all in all, it's going to be beautiful regardles.

One of my favorite clam shacks in RI. I used to visit every summer I lived away. Lobster roll was still delicious, although a bit smaller than previous pictures. Prices are not cheap, as to be expected with today's inflation. $35 for Lobster roll, fries, slaw, and drink. I will still be a fan!

Very good place for late lunch. We had sea scallops and fish and chips dinner. Both delicious! Also they have cold beer! Friendly stuff and good atmosphere. Reasonable prices.

Hearty portion, friendly servers, reasonable prices. Light battered Haddock, home made French fries, coleslaw was delicious.

We picked this spot after searching for seafood restaurants near me. Right by the beach which we enjoyed after our meal. We ordered the lobster rolls for two platter which saves a couple ten dollars if the sandwiches were ordered individually. Bottled beer and one serving wines are available for adults. The lobster rolls were good made the traditional way with buttered grilled New England style hot dog rolls. The clam fritters had a nice batter but miniscule if any clams at all. There is both inside and outside seating. The shocker came when we chose to sit outside in a thin outer section of the deck that had a long counter with stools, since all the front tables with umbrellas were taken, and a large male seagull swooped down and in seconds stole our two sandwiches in his beak right off our plate. Dropping them to the ground, he and another male gull ate them in less than a minute. I had just enough time, despite my state of shock, to get a photo of them before they flew off. My companion had gone inside to get another mini bottle of wine, so I alone experienced this bizarre occurrence. Thank you to the manager for replacing them free of charge. The young gal behind the register said this happened sometimes. We ate our new platter inside.

The fried scallops, calamari and shrimp are amazing. The clam chowder was excellent. Loved the whole belly clams! Highly recommend this place. You can't truly experience Misquamicut without eating here

The best lobster rolls ever 🤤 It’s gotten really pricey lately but I think it’s still worth the quality of food you’re getting. I would say tho, staff could be a little friendlier 🙂

Could I love this place any more?! First off, the food was awesome and the service was amazing. On top of all that, they are incredibly eco-conscious with all compostable disposables, have incentives for picking up beach trash, and donate money to local animal rescues! Thank you, Two Little Fish! Everyone needs to follow your inspiring example!

Paddy's Beach Club is a delightful oceanfront destination that perfectly captures the essence of summer fun. Located just a short drive from Misquamicut beach, this vibrant eatery offers a menu filled with kid-friendly American fare and features an exclusive 21+ tiki bar. The atmosphere is lively, especially during their all-day beach parties on Sundays throughout the summer months. Guests can savor delicious cocktails served in charming beach-themed ceramic glasses while enjoying the refreshing ocean breeze and stunning views.
Best beachside venue. Right on the beach, can walk into the ocean while watching the bands. Night time beach walks are so great with incredible bands. Saw Dudemanbro! Original band from Narragansett. Highly recommend checking out this unique beach bar and great music!

We’ve been loyal visitors to Paddy’s Beach Club for years, It has always been part of our summer tradition. Sadly, this year was a completely different experience and not in a good way. It honestly felt like a completely different place. There’s no more table service — everything is takeout now, and they tack on a $5 fee for it, which feels excessive given the drop in quality. The food was mediocre at best. We’re not sure if there’s been a change in management or ownership, but something is definitely off. Really disappointing after so many great summers here. It might be time to explore other spots in the area that still deliver good service and atmosphere.

My husband and I went for lunch . Sat on the patio so we could enjoy the view of the ocean while eating . Toni the bartender & also waitressed was so friendly & attentive. The food was so fresh & delicious. I highly recommend this establishment!

Visiting Paddy's has been a yearly tradition for my wife and I when our niece comes to visit during the summer. Unfortunately, this year was a wildly different experience that left us all disappointed and initiated a conversation of whether it was worth making a trip next year. Issue number 1 that bothered us was that there was no table service. Sure, there were some areas that had full table service, but none of those areas were available in the sand area - where we enjoy sitting. We felt a little rushed trying to look over the menu while in line and people waiting behind us. It didn't feel very hospitable and we felt uncomfortable that we might be taking too long to look over the dining options. So, after we ordered through the 'take out' bar, and found our table in the sand... When the food was ready, we received it in a large paper bag with everything in take out containers. Had to ask if there were utensils, then was pointed to a utensil dispensing area. Again, we weren't expecting a lack of service, so this was uncomfortable. We take our food to the table and because we had a large paper bag now, we had to worry about that flying off while we ate our food. Sure, these issues might be minor for a place like Paddy's, and I'm sure they make tons of money off their drinks and food...but the experience we had this year was definitely cause enough for us to choose to not come back next year. I don't appreciate going somewhere and spending $300 for food and drinks to get absolutely ZERO service. We will definitely be checking other options for next years visit. I'm really disappointed at the direction this place is going. I'm going to miss the fish and chips, but it's definitely not worth the terrible experience.

Went with a friend for night cap drinks. We waited 8 minutes for one of the two female bartenders to greet and take our order. One was dark hair and larger where the other had blue hair and very skinny. Both bartenders were talking to a gentleman and female seated next to me, and did not greet. Eye contact was made with the blue hair bartender as I was picking up my phone to check the time and she came over. Friend ordered a beer, I ordered a mango frozen drink. As an industry person for over 15 years and bartender for over 10, the bartender did not use a jigger to measure out the alcohol and did not even provide a shots worth of alcohol in the drink. Shot is 1 ounce which is a 3 count (like you are dancing. 1 and 2 and 3 and). Drinks were paid for and we promptly left and headed next door to the beach bar attached to the hotel right next door. Save the hype of hitting up “Paddy’s” and go to the other beach bar. You’ll enjoy your time much more.

This is easily the coolest spot on the beach. It has something for everyone young and old alike and it’s always a great time. The owner personally walks around to make sure every guest is having a positive experience, which makes a big difference. The view is unbeatable, the music sets the perfect vibe, and the energy is always fun. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!
Joe M — Google review
I don’t think I have ever experienced worse service in my life. Waited for close to two hours to get service. This was even after politely going up and asking a serve to please come to my table to take my order. It was so bad I left before I was able to put an order in. Based on reviews, this may have just been a bad day and I hope to give it a second chance to prove me wrong soon.

I doubt I will have a better, fresher Fajita Chicken at any Beach Club or restaurant and their personal touch on the macaroni salad was exceptional ⭐⭐... Ask for the New Maria Mocktail~The bartender and server were top notch 💫 It's a fun, vibrant Place To Be and I wish I could have stayed for whatever band was setting up. I've been visiting Paddy's for years and they continue to Leveling Up.

Stop & Shop is a well-known supermarket chain offering a wide range of house-brand groceries and organic products. In addition to its grocery selection, Stop & Shop also features deli and bakery counters. The store prides itself on providing high-quality ingredients for its products, ensuring that customers can find everything they need for their daily shopping needs. Additionally, Stop & Shop offers an array of delicious wedding cakes that are not only visually appealing but also boast exceptional flavors due to the use of premium ingredients.
Love Stop&Shop. They always have fresh produce! And most anything else you can hope for a a grocery. Always clean and neat. Sales to be had everyday. As well as cooked take away options at the Deli.
Christine M — Google review
The redesign of the store is quite possibly the worse of any grocery store in history. There is absolutely no coherence in how products are organized. It is just a jumbled mess. This store has always been bad with having expired items on shelves and pricing that is almost criminal but now they have added the bonus of everything just placed in a haphazard manner. I don't know who or what program dreamed this up but they should be let go.
Robert B — Google review
The lady at the self-checkout was really rude. I get that they have tourists in there all the time but that's not an excuse to act exasperated because you have to do your job.
Samantha A — Google review
Clean, bright and well-stocked. I appreciated the many gluten-free options they carry!
Angela L — Google review
Every time I shop here, my order gets audited — even when my items are clearly visible and not in bags. I’ve tried explaining that I have severe allergies and can’t have my things handled, but I’m ignored. I even offered to show the barcode myself. The staff refused. At this point, it feels like racial profiling. I shouldn’t be made to feel like a criminal just for trying to buy groceries and protect my health. Completely unacceptable.
Vanessa — Google review
I used to like the store not any more. Deceptive pricing , bad new store (improvments) and a self check out system that sucks. Not that others are really any better. How much worse can it get? We really don't want to know the answer.

Stopped in yesterday. Awful service. The 2 bartenders inside were in the middle of a shift change when we sat down. They were counting the drawer and we sat there for 20 minutes and were not even acknowledged at all. I finally asked how long it would be, and was shocked at how rude they were to us, and they made it seem like we were bothering them. Being rude to people is not a good way to run a business. On a good note, there are so many other great spots within walking distance with friendly staff and great drinks!
Keith D — Google review
Stopped in for lunch with our family. The service was awful, had no coffee or hot tea. Ordered mild chic wings no mild sauce. No mayo on the sandwich. Had to keep asking for parts of our order. Only one hi chair in the whole establishment. The food was cold and very salty. The onion rings were cold inside. The clam chowder was watery. I would never recommend this place.

Hadn't been there in 15+ years. Met a friend for a late lunch. The outside doesn't reflect the inside. The inside was clean, neat, upscale charmingly ocean side décor. Bathrooms were clean. Service was great. Had the best burger I've had in a while. Music was great- all types from Rock to Country. I ride, so I know I could go here and my bike would be safe. But I drove, would feel fine having my kids here. I'll be back.

One-star is pushing it. I have been to many shady establishments but this one may just take the cake. The staff definitely takes care of "theirs" before they take care of the "non-regulars", as they were rude and did not mind letting our group wait on drinks, overpriced drinks at that. $5 can of beer and $11 vodka drinks. My wife's burger had a hair on it and they did nothing to rectify that. The only thing I found appealing was the music. By luck, they had a surprisingly awesome band playing. Being a fan of Black Sabbath, I was very surprised to hear a cover band jamming out on this night, Earth I believe was their name. They were very good, even my wife who is not a fan of Sabbath was impressed. We stayed for the show and then on the way out heard some yelling going on over the band not being paid by this establishment. Not 100% sure on the details but I tell you what, if this establishment had any type of agreement with this band for pay and they decided not to follow through, then that goes to show why the staff sucks and they have no concern for the customers. Owners lead by example. Stay away from here for food, drink and if you play music, be forewarned about the issue with being paid.
Scott G — Google review
Drinks are very expensive, $10+ for anything with a name. We did like the atmosphere in the bar, and spent a lot of time looking at all their decorations. The kitchen closes at 9:00 which was disappointing when I came hungry after work. Perhaps having three doors to the outside is beneficial in the Summer, but it definitely gets chilly inside in the fall!
Daniel C — Google review
The only reason I'm giving one star is because I have to. My boyfriend and I had the worst service of our life today. Right when we walked in the door we were rushed to a table and asked what we wanted to drink. When opening our menu we were told the drinks weren't listed in the menu and never didn't tell our options. We looked at the menu and not even 2 minutes later we were asked if we were ready. Everything was extremely rushed through. Our waitress was just trying to get us in and out and being extremely rude about it. When we talked to the owner he did nothing but stare off into space and tell us everyone's important without saying sorry or offering us any compensation. If that wasn't enough another waitress was bad mouthing another customer in front of everyone and screaming about it. I was so outraged I had to leave the store and have my boyfriend the bill for me. DO NOT EAT HERE!
Chloe N — Google review
It's a decent enough place. The menu is standard new England bar food. On the plus side you can bring kids in and parking is free of you're eating there, only for the time you're in the restaurant. Location of great but the views are off the Jersey Shore left overs and not the beach with is across the street.

New England restaurant
Kid-friendly pub chain offering classic fare like burgers, wings & salads in informal surrounds.
I've always had an opinion about the 99 Restaurant. I haven't gone in so many years but I always put them in the "Piccadilly Pub, Ground Round" category. We'll my wife and I went to this restaurant in Westerly today for lunch, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Either they've changed over the years or my opinion was wrong? We were greeted and sat instantly. Our waitress/server was friendly and personable. She asked if we would like drinks first which we did order. She arrived shortly with our drinks and asked us if we were ready to order. We asked her how the sweet potato waffle fries were and she said she absolutely loved them. That was good enough for us. I ordered a Chicken Parm sub and my wife ordered a BLT, both with the waffle fries. The food arrived a short time later very hot and very very good. The waffle fries were totally awesome! My sub roll had crispy edges which was a nice touch with melted cheese over the chicken. My wife asked for the bacon well done and that's exactly how it came. That alone is rare, you know, getting exactly what you ordered and have it come out awesome. Kind of makes our time together so much better. I'm 60 years old and have eaten all over the world and I can safely say, it's rare to get a great meal, and great service, all at a great price. My opinion was changed today and I will be back! I did get the servers name (Natasha) although she was new, she did her job well, and very down to earth. (Even made us jokingly laugh). We've lived here locally for 11 years and this was our fist time here. Looking forward to the next visit, Good job to all!!!

The service at 99 restaurant is always great, and the booth seating is always comfortable. The food is just ok. (3 stars) Update: I recently returned to 99 and they were kind enough to make a custom special order of a frozen pineapple lemonade. It was delicious! I also had the pretzel bites, and they were really good. (4 stars)

Good service and basically unremarkable pub/American diner-type cuisine. I had a beer and a pretty decent chicken salad. The waitress brought me some popcorn as well.

I've been using this restaurant chain in numerous locations in southern New England for decades and often suggest to others about using it. Always reliable food offerings and friendly wait staff. The restaurant is clean & comfortable. My only observation for change might be to update the interiors of the chain.

We had a great time. Plus it gets 5 stars not only for it's service which was really awesome Tonight but for dessert nearby. The younger man sitting us really was through. Not just sitting us but explaining all the specials, new items on the menu, the soup for the night. Introducing our waitress Gabriella. She definitely was great. In the bar, catered to us,made sure we were happy. Really wish it's always like this but wow phenomenal tonight. We were hungry and they promptly served us. Meal was great. Some new items. Plus it's a bonus Coldstone is nearby for dessert. That makes this place 5 stars to me

WOW, WOW, WOW! You must go try this 99 Location if you are in the area. Incredible food, and even more incredible service. Stephanie was so kind and fun. She made our entire experience perfect! We all left with smiles and full bellys! 😁 The food was delicious and perfectly portioned! You get what you paid for and everything was very well made. We will return again! Overall Rating: 11/10 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 P.S Stephanie, our server, is outstanding!!!

There is absolutely NO excuse for providing take out meals with NO UTENSILS. Went back inside to get some and were told they “ran out”. This was at 3pm! We had to run into the neighboring Stop & Shop for utensils which is what 99 should have done in the first place. We also didn’t get napkins and very few waffles fries which we paid extra for. They must have been running out of them as well!

I had the calamari and smashed burger ( I forgot the name). Firstly, the calamari: life changing. It was recommend by one of the very nice hostess and the fries and burger were absolutely delicious. I was very satisfied with my meal and the service, great hospitality. The music was also a lovely touch, will definitely be coming again.

This was our 1st time ever in RI this was the 1st place we stopped to eat. We got sat on the deck. The view was great, nice breeze. However we sat at our high top table with servers passing us by for a good while. Not even speaking, a training server (Annie) was amazing. She came to greet us, told us she was training but would find our server. Came back told us she would be our server. Her 1st table of her own. She made this not so great start to an awesome one. Annie needs to be the trainer. Needless to say we gave her a 30.5% tip in cash in her hands. Thank you Annie for being a rock star!

The calamari was good, a bit spicy before the dip sauce. Very crispy. The main courses weren't good. Ordered a skirt steak and frites... got a sirloin cooked med rare. My spouse's fish and chips was burnt, fries were good. Coleslaw tasted bad. Probably not coming back. Staff was good

My go to beach bar for live music, good drinks and bar food. So fun to sit at the bar, chairs along the Seawall or sit on the beach. There’s also tables and a bar indoors. Go for lunch or whole afternoon. Parking is $20 & fills up fast. Staff is friendly & attentive. Live music on patio summer afternoons & indoors in evenings. You can also bring your dog & enjoy a treat off puppy menu. Pick your day though cuz not much shade & can be crowded. New adds Summer 2025 - Baked Potato bar and creative milkshakes.
