Dover Motor Speedway, also known as the Monster Mile, is a renowned racing track located north of Dupont Highway. This state-of-the-art facility has been attracting motorheads since its opening in 1969 and is a popular tourist destination in the U.S.A. The Speedway hosts thrilling NASCAR races and features a giant monster sculpture that adds to its unique charm. With a seating capacity of 135,000, it offers an unparalleled gaming experience and promises an unforgettable affair for racing fans.
It was a kids dream come true: In the 90s (yes I am old) I played NASCAR Racing on my computer and guess which track was my favorite track? Exactly! As I was in Dover I decided to go here, knowing that everything would be shut down with fences and that I couldn't get inside. But being outside would be enough for me. Then I met a really nice guy, I asked if I could take only one picture of the oval, didn't want to bother him too much as he had work to do. Well, he brought me on the roof!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍 And I had a fantastic view of the oval. You made a dream come true and brought up some child memories in me. THANK YOU VERY MUCH 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Amazing experience we had watching the NASCAR race. Highly recommend getting there early as parking is limited. side private lots which we did worked out great. Small walking distance to the gate but well worth it on a beautiful day Depending on what you go and see plan on a cashless experience so bring a credit card
Rockin' R — Google review
Dover Raceway isn’t trying to impress you — it’s trying to rattle your teeth out of your skull. The track is short, tight, and aggressive at 1.6mi. It’s not Monaco. It’s not meant to be. But what it lacks in international polish, it makes up for in raw energy. The crowds are loud, the cars are louder, and the atmosphere walks a fine line between motorsport and block party. People show up early, bring folding chairs, rum, and full coolers — because they know it’s an all-day affair.

Excellent race track and fan accommodations. It has great sight lines and angles for seeing the entire track. Adequate restrooms for men, but women will be waiting in lines. I didn't try any of the foods or drinks inside, but they appeared similar to other Nascar tracks. The biggest negative is the weather. This track on a summer date was entirely too hot, to the point of unbearable. I won't return unless they change the date to a milder time of year.
Rickey C — Google review
Was able to run the track! Did the Monster Mile! There was a fundraiser for children. Laps for Charity. We did 5 laps around the track. Was great!

Great staff and great experience over all. A little pricey but thats the nature of going to a sporting event these day. We love race weekend !! Very family friendly

We attend the NASCAR race every year and love every minute!! Management at this track really understands what it is to cater to your fan base. All of the pre-race activities and driver interactions available are top-notch!!

Dover is a FAN-tastic race facility high banking, high speed aggressive racing the Monster Mile is a true must be there to truly appreciate the race experience; I've gone there from the 80's and never disappointed, always a great show and great town to visit and enjoy the seafood and entertainment venues that complement the race track experience

I personally I can't rate the rooms because I did not get a room there. I went there honestly just to kill time Friday afternoon and it was very laid-back not too much commotion drinks were fair price and a lot bigger than I was thinking it was. It's my first time ever being there but I will definitely be going back more often now.

We had a great experience with Ballys. Fabulous room and great selection of slot machines. Also play craps and roulette. We ate at the sugar factory & best odds. Very good food and friendly staff. We will be going back to Ballys Dover

This is my second stay at this hotel, and unfortunately, it has been the most disappointing experience I have ever had with any establishment. At 6:30 AM this morning, I was charged $115.22 without my knowledge or consent, and I did not receive a bill or receipt for this transaction. This constitutes unauthorized billing, which is not only unacceptable but could be considered fraudulent. The charge was only reversed after I escalated the matter to the manager at the front desk, and I was told it would take several days before the funds return to my account. That's 215 dollars due to the 100 incidental charge. I was further informed that this has happened to multiple guests, which is deeply concerning. Despite this significant inconvenience and breach of trust, no one offered any form of acknowledgment or compensation. I no longer feel comfortable staying here, yet I am unable to obtain a refund for the following night, leaving me stuck in a situation I would never have chosen. The rooms are subpar, there are no amenities available, and the overall lack of accountability is unacceptable. I strongly caution anyone considering this property to look elsewhere.
Ariana P — Google review
My check-in experience on Oct 22 left a lot to be desired as there was only one clerk on-duty at the desk and a long line of folks on line. Adding insult to injury, Bally's room-key system was down so everyone had to wait until approx 5pm to receive a room-key until the system was back online. Lastly, two days after my check-out, Bally's arbitrarily billed .01 (one cent) to my credit card. As I had paid my card in full after checkout, this one cent balance, had I not noticed, would have actually caused a "delinquency" on my credit-card account. I called the front desk 3 times for an explanation and was finally told by a supervisor that she would "do me a favor" and "credit the penny". Still waiting 2 days later. Good bye Bally's. It was nice knowing you.
Darrell M — Google review
The staff is friendly, they receive you with kindness and professionalism at the front desk and everyone says good morning/good afternoon. The rooms are clean and the place looks like a luxury resort. I’ve stayed at other hotels in the area and in the same price range, this one is definitely the best.
Angelo R — Google review
Staff was courteous and friendly, room was very clean, however for being a 4-star hotel there's no complimentary breakfast, there was a $50 fee to check in 2 hours early, the indoor pool doesn't work.

Shopping
Dover Mall is a vibrant shopping destination that offers a delightful mix of familiar brand-name stores and entertainment options. Located conveniently near Dover Motor Speedway, it provides an excellent opportunity for tax-free shopping in Delaware. Shoppers can explore popular retailers such as Boscov's, Pandora, Victoria's Secret, Yankee Candle, and Dick's Sporting Goods among others.
Despite its modest size, Boscoes Department Store offered a wide selection, with 70% of the items being shoes, 60% being accessories, and the remaining 10% encompassing other items. I purchased a pair of toe rings, anklets, and a necklace for my daughter. If I were in need of a quick outfit, I would definitely return to this establishment. It is likely that I will make a return visit to Dover Mall in the future.

I’m sorry I just went here today for the first time ever and no offense but there place is very empty like barley any stores are open and the place looks abandoned not popular I live in New Jersey I was taking a trip here to try something new my local mall is Deptford mall it’s popular and great that mall lowkey boring there’s trash everywhere and smells inside sorry again would not recommend also there and ALOT of stores say closing

A slowly dying mall. On the outside, it looks like it’s almost a ghost town. On the inside it has a decent amount of flourishing businesses. My main issue is this place is lacking updates and the bathroom was atrocious. It was so gross a fly was in front of me going in, smelled it and left. In the bathroom there was at least 20 flies and it smelled bad!!

Went to the Dover Mall in Delaware. The Mall is clean. The atmosphere is good. They just need to add more options when eating and shopping. They also need to bring back the movie theater.
K D — Google review
I saw that last year this mall was little good , but now there are a lot of empty stores. I think something is wrong with the mall management. This happen when management doesn’t cooperate with the store owners, which is why they left.
Mitchelle M — Google review
The Dover Mall is wonderful. It’s almost a lot like our mall. But with new stores around like GameStop, Forever21, JCPenny, etc… This is one of the greatest malls I’ve ever been to!

For a small hometown mall this is sufficient. It doesn’t have luxury brands but you can probably find what you need. Theres also a newly added playland for kids, plus the free playzone at the end by the furniture store.

Breakfast restaurant
Family restaurant
The Countrie Eatery is a charming, old-fashioned restaurant with a farm-themed decor that specializes in serving classic breakfast dishes. Located near a picturesque pond surrounded by lush greenery, it offers a delightful setting for enjoying a hearty morning meal. The menu features an array of breakfast favorites such as pancakes, waffles, bacon, and eggs prepared to your liking. Visitors can savor popular dishes like the Little Creek (Crab Cakes Benedict) and Sussex Choice (Cream Chipped Beef).
I had a great experience! The atmosphere was welcoming, our server was great and attentive, and our food was amazing! The only thing I didn't eat was my plate and fork! I had the constitutional and added strawberries to my pancakes. I substituted my sausage and bacon for turkey products as well. It was a great morning. My husband had the ribeye and said it was seasoned well.

We went in with high hopes, and not all of them were met. It's great to be able to get breakfast at any time, but I was not as thrilled with it as I thought I would be. My wife also had the seafood sampler, baked. Crab cake was watery, the scallops and shrimp did not look very good and tasted just okay. The house muffin was delicious. The crowd definitely skews older, and the server was pleasant but may have been a bit overworked as it did take a while for her to show up on occasion. I think I might want to try their meatloaf in the future.

Visiting family in Dover DE for the weekend and decided to try Countrie Eatery for Saturday breakfast and found the food was good, not great. I ordered a short stack of pancakes and did enjoy them with butter and syrup. My partner tried the hash browns with a toasted English muffin finding the potatoes had a strange taste to them, thinking it might have been paprika, not sure, he was not happy with the flavors. Our sister ordered Eggs Benedict, and seemed to enjoy the fish. Overall, average food with very good service.
Jamie W — Google review
I recently had the Continental breakfast at The Countrie Eatery. While the food was good, it wasn’t anything extraordinary—comparable to what you might find at IHOP or Waffle House. That said, the overall experience was elevated by the ambience. The restaurant is located right next to Silver Lake, and in the morning, the sunlight pours in, giving the place a bright and inviting feel. It’s a lovely spot to start the day with a peaceful view. Definitely worth visiting for the atmosphere!

The Countrie Eatery lives up to its moniker. It feels like a 30 Big Mamas came together to make you breakfast wrapped in a hug with a sprinkle of love. On Sunday’s the lines can be long, but the service was delightful and the food was pretty good.

Visited here while on vacation and staying at the Dover Hotel and Casino. Because of where we were staying, it was nice to have a little change of pace for one evening with a nice quiet little dinner here at The Countrie Eatery. The food was good comfort country style food and was at just the right size portion to fill you up. The service was good. The waitress was nice but was maybe handling too many tables, not her fault, but didn't go unnoticed. There is not a big selection for dessert, but the pie was good and definitely tasted homemade. Overall, this restaurant experience deserves the 4 stars that I rated it at, and you should give it a try. If I'm ever in town again, I would go back.
Michael M — Google review
We visited this restaurant for the first time today for breakfast. Service was fast and friendly. Restaurant was clean and the food was great! I had the Farm House Omelet and hubby had the Eggs Benedict. The food was so good and the home fries were delicious! I also had the House Muffin with my meal and it was fabulous! We definitely will be back.
Jen M — Google review
For being a "country kitchen" they can't even make a proper country gravy. It looked like a bowl of grease with ants floating in it. The home fries were flavorless and glazed in grease, I am guessing they were poorly done in a fryer. My omelet was also flavorless. The server was awesome however!

Park
Silver Lake Park is a serene 182-acre green space conveniently located near downtown Dover, Delaware. The park offers walking trails, a playground for children, picnic shelters, and water access to Silver Lake. Visitors can enjoy the shade and water combination while strolling through the park or engage in activities such as fishing in the lake or picnicking under pavilions.
Beautiful place, if people could stop littering it would be even MORE Beautiful! I'm a photographer, and a lot of my pictures come from Silver Lake of the Herons, ospreys, Cormorants, and all that, but it seems like every picture i take I have to edit out trash! If people could start taking their fishing stuff back to their cars with them and their own trash, it'd be a lot better place! Not to mention waiting a minute for the wildlife to get out of your way besides beeping at them and trying to mow them down with your cars!! Have some respect. If anything, the place should belong to the animals. You're the visitor there not them, stop acting like they're in your way!! Rocky area by Bridge is full of snakes, keep your kids away from there!
Sarah R — Google review
We really love spending time at Silver Lake and always have! We grew up there (whoever cut down the tire swing... we are all mad, but you've probably saved us all a great deal of health issues lololl) definitely would NOT SWIM in Silver Lake. The park could be better taken care of, but you cant expect too much from humans anymore. We always make sure to take out more trash than we brought in! Overall scenic views great for pictures, LOTS of wildlife in the area in all forms. Hiking trails. Playground area. Skipping rocks and fishing! Silver Lake is the place to hang out! And the best part? Its free!
Daria — Google review
Nice place if you don’t want to drive too far. Park and sizable playground also
Paul D — Google review
Fish were definitely jumping out of the water. So much dog feces on the bank it’s unreal. Smells like pure dog poo. Can’t speak for the playground . I won’t be coming back here. Any good suggestions on water holes?
Bigfella D — Google review
The kids just love the playground and the dog likes sniffing around when I'm trying to walk him. They only have porta potties but one of them is handicapped accessible. Plenty of covered pavilions and picnic tables with barbecue grills. The walking trail is concrete which is nice because it's in a low lying wet area.
Paul R — Google review
Silver lake park has a good play ground for the kids and you have access to the lake for the kids to toss rocks or watch the birds from a far. There is trash near the shore line and the port-a-johns are well at times not so well maintained.
Quiet P — Google review
Garbage in water also people just drop stuff on ground. The Volley ball court has glass in the sand, so no playing there. Also kids not watched by parents bullying will cure. Would be a beautiful place if they just cleaned it up!!!
Colleen M — Google review
Still my favorite place to visit. As a child we could swim in the lake but there was more sand and lots of swings. Things have changed; absolutely swimming, the swings that made you feel like you were going into the lake are no longer there, and no life guard stands but it was still nice to revisit my childhood playground. The picnic tables are still there!

Spence's Bazaar, located just a few blocks from downtown, is a massive indoor and outdoor flea market offering a unique shopping experience. Visitors can explore countless stands and stalls filled with antiques, obscure objects, artworks, and Amish goods including delicious food like pretzels. The market also features auctions on select days.
Jesus riding a bike! I loved this place inside out! Stuff old and quaint, very nice food areas with Amish food ladies (I think they are families) making all sorts of yummy food and deserts—and they are cheap! To be honest, I visited many order-and-take-out places but never had experiences like this before—crowded, tasty, and sexy. There are also auctions outside in the open place. But you need to pay attention to the several days that the market is open.

wonderful amount of options. the donuts are absolutely divine. the wings in the front were okay, but the reason i gave this place 4 starts. their coffee was yummy too— if you want a snack, savory or sweet, definitely hit this place up!!!
Nyla T — Google review
I sometimes stop by here when I’m in Delaware. The donuts are delicious—I ended up buying a dozen because they’re so good! Soft, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness. The pretzels always have a long line, so I didn’t get them this time, but it’s easy to see why they’re so popular. The whole place has a charming, old-fashioned farm vibe that makes you feel relaxed just walking around. Definitely worth a visit for both locals and tourists!
Aya S — Google review
We bought several delicious items. My husband got a soft pretzel. I got mini pretzel cheese sandwiches, and slices of blueberry strudel cake, apple crumble pie, and orange cake with orange icing. To give you an idea of how well each product is made, I ate the orange cake after having it in our fridge for 6 days, and the cake was still moist and soft, and the icing was still soft and fluffy. Scrumptious! I highly recommend!

One of my highlights of my US, Delaware, Dover trip was the Amish Markets and Bazaar. A unique destination I won’t ever see in Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 I enjoyed exploring the Bazaar seeing the records of the past antiques and a wonderful way to see the differences between people and the times we are in. My favourite however was the cultural explosion 💥 into Amish Culture, people and cooking. The wonderful butcher displaying fresh meat (a local chatted with us briefly at the counter and made a comment regarding how fresh things are here versus what you get in a supermarket), the pretzel bakery, the many stores selling everything from cookies, pastries and cakes uniquely Amish country style cooking. I love the honesty the simplicity of every version of baked goods up for sale. You can grab something to eat there or take it away with you. This is comfort food heaven! This should be on your bucket list of things to do in Dover as well.
Tulin D — Google review
I've never purchased anything inside because the prices are absurd. The food market is awesome. Especially the candy store. I'm a diabetic and they have a great selection of sugar free candy which I can't find anywhere else.
EASTCOASTSALES71 — Google review
I love the Amish market at Spence's. I usually purchase deli meats and the hot soft pretzels. You can get three pretzels for just about the same price as one Auntie Anne's. Go early or you're going to stand in line! I also special request cuts of meat at the butcher there and they cut it to my specifications. They do upcharge me 50 cents a pound, but it's well worth it.

Steak house
Royal Prime Steakhouse is a popular dining spot known for its excellent food, service, and atmosphere. It's advisable to make a reservation as it tends to be busy even on weekdays. The lobster tails are highly recommended, and the lamb chops, ribs, and mushrooms were all enjoyed by diners. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience; some guests were pleasantly surprised with birthday treats.
Sunday August 18 I rented a private room to celebrate my daughters 16th birthday. Prior up to the day my host Jana was very professional and knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The room was very clean and the tables were beautifully set. I added my own personal touch of decor and it turned out so lovely. My family and I had the best host and server …Mr Kenny was very patient with my family while taking orders. He was very prompt with everything! He made sure we had everything we needed . The food was really good. He set up my daughter cake and treats very nicely. He even made us laugh. Thank you Mr Kenny for making our night even more special we really appreciate your excellent service.

For the pricing, could have been a little bit of a better experience. The waitress we had wasn't exactly friendly or attentive. However there was another waitress serving other tables named Lyric, who was super attentive and friendly. We really wish we could have had her. We both opted for the prime rib special, and unfortunately her 12 oz prime rib was rather cold. My 16 oz prime rib was a decent temperature. My wife ordered a rose wine and they brought her some sort of mixed drink, and then then the waitress gave her side eye when she mentioned it was a rose wine that was ordered. I think that set things off to a bad tone to begin with. Your mileage may vary.
Matthew M — Google review
The food and drinks were great! While I was here my sunglasses fell out of my bag, my husband called the next day and they found them! The manager held them in a safe for me until we could pick them up. Absolutely fantastic customer service.
Elaine S — Google review
The service started out great and then diminished to non-existent once we received our food. We felt the price was too high for the quality. We don't mind paying for excellence. I will say the lamb chops were spectacular.
Michelle S — Google review
**This is for Royal Prime Lounge Customer service was non-existent. French fries were freezer fries. Weren’t informed about happy hour specials. We found out about the happy hour menu ourselves after taking a menu off the table next to us. I don’t think our server knew it was happy hour because our bill did not reflect the happy hour price and we had to get the manager to take it off. We were not given any utensils or napkins until after our appetizer arrived and yes, we had to ASK for them. Restaurant was empty with only 1 other couple dining. Best part was the live music, the burgers and convenience to the Ballys hotel rooms/casino.

My husband and I came for our 8 year anniversary and everything was perfect. Our waitress Tasha was AMAZING!! OUR FOOD WAS PERFECT!! We had lamb, steak and ribs, mac and cheese and spinach. Really nice fine dining experience in Dover! This restaurant is in the former Michelle's location on the Hotel side of the Casino. The food, atmosphere, and service were top-notch. We were not disappointed with any part of our meal. I also loved the updated decor and lighting in the restaurant. I wish I remembered our waitress' name. She was lovely. We will definitely be back and can't wait to visit the lounge on the first floor.

My family and I celebrated my birthday at Royal Prime and they did not disappoint. Great welcoming ambiance and everything from the drinks, to appetizers, to main entrees were delicious. Our waiter Torian was great, attentive, made recommendations and treated everyone well. I'm not a steak Eater so I had the salmon and it was very tasty. Everyone at the table was satisfied with their dish and we can't stop talking about the food. Great job Royal Prime.

The dining experience at Sugar Factory - Dover was highly enjoyable until the bill arrived. Despite being warned by friends about the high prices, the $70 (excluding tip) bill still came as a shock. One particularly noteworthy item was a $36 drink, which was generously poured and quite substantial in size. Although this indulgence was not something I would do regularly, it did contribute to a unique experience worth revisiting.
We celebrated our daughter’s 22nd birthday at The Sugar Factory, and it was truly unforgettable! From the moment we walked in, the energy was electric – fun, vibrant, and full of life! The staff made us feel so welcomed, and they were incredibly attentive and friendly throughout the entire experience. The food? Delicious! Every bite was packed with flavor, and the portions were generous. And of course, the signature drinks and sweet treats were showstoppers – colorful, creative, and oh-so-fun! What really stood out was the atmosphere – it was the perfect mix of exciting and family-friendly. The music was great, and when the staff came out singing and hyping up the birthday celebration, it brought so many smiles and made the day feel even more special. If you’re looking for a spot to celebrate a birthday or just enjoy a good time with your family, the Sugar Factory is a must! We made memories that will last a lifetime and can’t wait to go back.

First time dining at this restaurant. The food was good and not overly expensive as you might expect being located in a hotel. Staff was wonderful and added to the great atmosphere.

This was the only place that was open on a Tuesday inside the hotel. We got there around 7:30ish it was not busy at all we got seated right away. The place was clean, the staff were pleasant and attentive. The drinks were flavorful but a bit light on alcohol ( u can always ask them to make it stronger) the food was fresh. Salad was crunchy and just enough dressing not too much. The string beans were cooked perfectly not mushy crunchy and with enough spices. I definitely recommend this place. We had an amazing experience in less than 24 hours that we were there.

I’ve been wanting to go to the Sugar Factory for years now and finally this year made it. Got taken out here for my birthday and let me tell you it’s worth every penny. The staff were so friendly and kind and their service was incredible. I got the Flammin Hot Cheetos Burger medium well and fries (mouth watering and cooked perfectly). My partner got the breakfast burger (he loved it !! - again cooked perfectly). We got the Mai tai goblet To share even that was amazing. I even got to take home some leftover to have that amazing food again. Def will be going back soon. Even though they are located in Dover service and quality were top level. Def should try it out here and have a taste of the incredible food !!

Went here with my parents while on vacation. Really cool place, very flashy and loud, especially when someone is there for their birthday. It's definitely not my cup of tea when it comes to restaurants, but like I said, I was on vacation with family. They have a very limited menu. At least, that's what I thought when it came to "regular food" anyway. Now, their dessert menu, well, that's another story. If that's what you're looking for, this is your place. However, it is kinda pricey, and the dessert portions are huge, so you better bring a friend to share because no matter how big you think your sweet tooth is, these desserts are bigger. The food that we did order was good, and the service was even better. They really took care of us, and we're very friendly and upbeat. Last but not least, there is a store beside the restaurant as well where you can satisfy all of your candy, cookie, and ice cream needs if eating at the actual restaurant is not for you. Oh, and don't forget the attached bar that is not only in the restaurant itself but raps around and faces the casino, too. Make sure to visit if you go to the casino or the hotel. I'm glad I did, but for me , once would have been enough.

The Sugar Factory was Wonderful! It’s almost like the Cheesecake Factory but only without cheesecake but with different kind of desserts we can buy. I purchased the birthday celebration cupcake and it was delicious! I also had the Big Cheesy Burger and it was super delicious and the fries. Though I wish they’d do better with the price because this place is very expensive. But Despite this I enjoyed the food here and it was delicious.

The food is not bad at all, although the last time I went my chicken from the chicken and waffles didn't have any seasoning although it was very fresh and it came all piping hot! The waffles were a little dry no matter how much syrup I put on them but they had a good flavor, if that makes any sense. This time when I went I got the blue cheese bacon cheeseburger it was very good The french fries are exceptional. The fountain sodas could be a little bit stronger for my liking, they seem to be just a little bit flat. The service is excellent!!! I like the atmosphere, I like how it's open to the casino, but you still feel like you have some privacy.

Upon arrival there was no host. We waited around five minutes. We were then greeted and informed a table had to be cleaned. After being seated we were greeted. I want to say her name was Jade. She took our drinks. Returned back and retrieved our orders. The food was regular food way too overpriced. Overcooked chicken too hard to bite down. The shrimp poppers were regular. Our dishes kept piling up and our server never came to get them. I was literally running down our server to get refills. Not a family setting at all. The music and scenery is Terri much for children. But the whole set up is kiddy. Our tab was $160 we had 2 entrees 2 appetizers 4 refillable drinks & 3 milkshakes. All worth $45 but hey. Nice first and last time.

Pub
McGlynns Pub in Dover, Delaware is a beloved Irish-inspired alehouse that has been serving up a variety of delicious dishes and an extensive beer selection since 1983. Situated next to Silver Lake, patrons can enjoy stunning views while savoring their meals. One of the most popular menu items is the bourbon roast salmon, known for its perfect blend of smoky fish and sweet bourbon glaze.
I love coming here and getting drinks. It's one of my favorite bars that I've been to and the food here is always pretty good. I always sit at the bar and the bartenders are always really friendly and cool. If you're new to the area I would recommend checking this place out.

A real pub with huge widescreen sports dazzling our eyes and filling our ears with sports cheers. Huge windows overlooking the water was just perfect for lunch. A generous nacho platter was delicious and could easily have been made for two. Great waitress.

Great food as always. Had the salmon club this time. A big plus as they cater to pups on the outside lawn. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 6/1/25 Another fine dinner at McGlynns. Enjoyed the Hot roast beef McGlynns style with a draft special. Thanks for accommodating us on the patio with our pooch. SnickleFritz's favorite place to dine out in Dover. The sweet potato fries were a hit with our Aussie. Shout out to Raequan, keeping it cool !

Very good and friendly staff. The location is nice as they have indoor and outdoor seating plus they have a big room for parties. Good food and drink menu.

UPDATE 5/30/2025 Despite the below review, I decided to return to McGlynns for happy hour with my friend. Things started off rocky with the horrible high yellow heifer HOstess! However, after a quick chat with the GM and our wonderful waitress, things quickly turned around. First, the specialty margaritas. We asked for peach flavor and they delivered even though it wasn’t on the menu. That’s some good customer service. And then the food was soooo good! The meat was tender. The meat was seasoned. The wrap was full. The mac and cheese was some of the best mac and cheese I’ve ever had in my life. I take back what I said about making mac and cheese with penne pasta. I was wrong cause McGlynns did it. Nothing needed seasoning. Everything our table ordered was perfectly executed!

I went to use the bathroom and it was disgusting. There was vomit in the trash and the sewer cap was missing from the urinal. There was no manager available to rectify the situation.

I could not believe my eyes this homecoming weekend. I was recommended this bar to enjoy time with friends and I witnessed a deranged security guard harass and assault a young lady. Did an extremely poor job deescalating the situation and allowed his ego to control the situation. Thank goodness someone stopped him before he could seriously hurt her but I was shocked that 1 girl could get a reaction like this from “security”. Disappointing to see the way women are treated here, would not recommend to others. 0/10

Buffet restaurant
Festival Buffet is a highly anticipated dining experience that has left many eager for its reopening. While some have noted the need for warmer food, overall it is praised as one of the best buffets around.
It was good, food could have been a little warmer.

I was highly disappointed in the food here. I had eaten here several times in the last few years and the food was much better then. I had brought a friend here to sample the food next to the track and the only enjoyable part was sitting looking at the track. I will not come back unless someone just wants to be able to view the Raceway.

Lines can be long to get in. Understaffed at the counter on my most recent visit. 3 separate lines and one cashier.....that doesn't add up. And two of the three lines were Platinum and Elite members. So that equated to a half hour wait to get through the line to the cashier. This wait did increase my hunger and I was looking forward to sitting down to some good eats. Unfortunately on this trip, the food was very underwhelming. We got in line at 7:15 and were seated at 7:45, and the buffet closed at 8 this evening. Perhaps the proximity to closing affected the quality. It was "steak night" and the steak was better than expected. Our waitress was a little out of sorts. She brought the wrong drink order to start with. Sampled much of the food they were offering. Not great, but edible. The chilled shrimp had an awful consistency like rubber. Definitely not very fresh. Overall, not fantastic. I had been comped the buffet from previous play in the casino. Otherwise I would have been seriously disappointed if I had to pay the $28 price tag.

My family loved the buffet. The kids of course loved the dessert table. The one thing that me and my husband enjoyed was the endless snow crab legs. The other food is okay. Nothing to really rave about. Since they ended the all you can eat crab legs. We haven’t been back. It’s a shame.

Last night (9/14/2019) we are at your establishment. Started off with our server taking her time to come with us and a different server coming to us, we were the only one in that section. The food choices for a Saturday night were very minimal. The noodles for the crab mac and cheese were over cooked along with the crab. The salad and dressing were watered down. The "spicy" tuna roll was far from spicy. This quality was definitely not worth the price we paid. The Chinese buffet down the road I feel would have been better quality.

Snow Crab legs are delicious! I'm saddened due to the fact that the all you can eat snow crab legs will be no more eff 11/30/18. This was our 1st time visiting on 11/10/18. We are new to DE. The other foods on the buffet aren't that appealing. Overall the snow crab legs stole the show for me. I won't come back after 11/30/18. I'm not paying $26.95 for the buffet & if you want snow crabs you have to pay an additional $10 for every 1.5lbs you get. That's not a buffet. That's not cost worthy to the patrons. That's just wrong.

We have been to the buffet 3-4 times in the last month. They never have any soup cups available....you have to ask and it takes the person FOREVER to get cups....they only bring a few at a time. There also are no soup spoons. We were told to ask our server for spoons which we did. He said ok and then ignored us for the rest of our meal. I ended up getting the plastic ice cream spoons for us to use...otherwise we had no way of eating the now lukewarm soup. On Saturday there was no salmon left at the chefs station....when I asked if there was any more available, he said he didn’t know but could check and then went to wait on someone getting crab legs. So, after another wait he brought some out...did not slice it, just gave me the tongs and said to take what I wanted. Of course by now, the rest of my food was cold. The workers do not seem to really care and are definitely in no hurry to accommodate the customers. I have worked in the restaurant business and have a hard time understanding why someone is not making sure that necessities like soup cups, spoons, and specials, like salmon are not plentiful or at least restocked before running out. Perhaps the management is at fault!

If you like seafood you'll be happy if you want anything else forget it. The deserts suck unless you love cool whip. The pizza tastes like flour there was a feeble attempt at Italian food. This place has gone down in value and quality. I wouldn't waste my time since there isn't much when it comes to main dishes to choose from that is unless you like eating seafood that looks old.
