Unexpected visit to Harvey de Grace and a stop to Tidewater Grille. I didn't know what to expect. I was very happy with the food. The seafood platter is amazing. I would recommend trying this spot if you have not. The bay views are amazing also.

Highly recommend this place. The Staff are friendly and fast. My husband loves the Cream of Crab soup, I had the French onion which was also delicious. My husband also had the crab cake burger which he also loved. I had chicken tenders which were only ok and a side salad which was good. It is a little on the pricey side but if you love seafood, definitely give this place a try. I am not a seafood lover, so would try a burger or something next time as the chicken tenders were just " meh"!!! The room at the back over looking the water is very pretty tho

Love the location! We were able to sit outside by the water. Great service and everyone was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The issue was the food. The seafood was overcooked. Scallops dish was a little greasy, and the salmon was definitely overcooked. I came here back in April and everything was so delicious. I dont know who was in the kitchen this time but it was not good and pretty bland.
Crystal M — Google review
The location is nice, with indoor and outdoor seating. Service is fast and friendly. The portions are good sizes with very good seafood options. My pasta was a little greasy.

This is my first time here as I was passing through. My waiter did reflect nor did job to satisfy me. He was always never to be seen and when I would ask for example, for a straw he would never come back with it. As for the food the crab soup was delicious! Plus, the price was reasonable! The crab cake sandwich on a pretzel bun didn’t impress me. I love a good crab cake, but I’ve had better. My family member ordered the blacken fish wrap and they didn’t like at all. I’m glad I tried this restaurant, but I won’t be back. Follow me on social media: Instagram: BillyBangCCars YouTube: Billy Bang Cars

In a very nice setting, seating inside and out. Umbrellas outside were small for the table size. Food was bland and disappointing. No garlic or butter flavor, we split the shrimp and scallop savory. The Bacon Jam scallops they were good. Very pricey for a nondescript meal. Service was good.
Kate L — Google review
Love sitting outside near water. Prices have gone up since covid but quality of food is excellent.
Kimona K — Google review
The worst Food I ever had in my life as far as seafood. I ordered the pasta with the shrimp, scallops, mussels, and crabs. It was disgusting no flavor, bland and thrown into a container with tomato sauce, and charge me 40+ dollars I would never ever go back there again, to meet so disrespectful to serve somebody something like that!!🤮 UPDATE: 9/2/25-I don’t accept his apology. Why ?because I called not once not twice but three times left a message never heard anything back from him. I’m not trying to be mean I just hope that you learned from these reviews and listen to the customers !!

Vintage cafe…the name speaks for its self. As soon as you step through the doors you are wisked backed in-time. The decor and atmosphere is so well thought out and beautifully executed. The food was GREAT! Where else in town can you order a cheese burger at 9am and have the whole table saying man I wish I would have got that! 😂 I couldn’t leave without getting myself some vintage merch! Thank you vintage cafe for great food and a place to build lasting memories!

So when I got their I was greeted real quick and help was really nice, but to call this a bowl, what happened to actual scrambled eggs with shredded cheese not a hug piece of egg with cheese, what happened to cutting up the potato’s and actually dicing up the sausage. And they forgot the onions that was requested and not even salt was used. I want to go back but I won’t be wasting my money again, I will let everyone know about my experience

The quiche felt like a microwaved bowl of eggs and didn’t have a crust. We paid to add onions to our potatoes and they were almost raw.

I only visited once and would like to go again! The food was delicious and the environment is nice. I got the Wednesday special. But I’m really hoping for better service next time for a more enjoyable experience. My mom who invited me to come had the same server last time she went and they did not provide good service either. I will request a different server next time if we are placed with them again because it was really bad.

We had a short wait (10 minutes) to sit down no big deal. Then we ordered our food the first time the waitress came. We waited 30 minutes and the tables that got sat right when we arrived still didn’t have their food so we left because we had to be somewhere. The food looked good but sadly we didn’t even get to have any.

Backfin Blues Creole De Graw is a casual restaurant and bar located in Havre de Grace, Maryland. The restaurant offers traditional Creole dishes such as jambalaya, gumbo, and etouffee in an elegant yet relaxed setting. It's known for its succulent seafood dishes and innovative American cuisine that puts a clever spin on Cajun classics.
This is one of our favorite restaurants to go to. The shrimp and grits are out of this world! We had it as an appetizer this time along with fried pork belly, which was equally tasty. Our entrees were red beans and rice with shrimp added, and the jambalaya with chicken added. Everything was so flavorful. Large portions as well, had to get to go boxes!

My expectations were low, because Havre De Grace is an interesting place. My experience was fantastic. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. It's a charming little restaurant and I highly recommend stopping in! Definitely get the Pork Belly Appetizer, a Catfish PO Boy, or the Jumbolaya. The Collard Greens were amazing! I hope to come back soon!

We’ve lived in Havre de Grace for years and had never tried this restaurant until last night. From the moment we walked in, we knew we would like it. Our server Maddy was so sweet. I could eat 6 more plates of the cornbread. We talked about the bow tie noodles that came with the dip several times after we left. The jambalaya was authentic & well made. My blackened salmon was amazing. The asparagus spears & corn sides were phenomenal as well. All of it was amazing. The apple cider beer was by far my favorite. My boyfriend said it was the best key lime pie he has ever had, and he is quite a pie connoisseur. All around wonderful experience. Will probably go back tonight :)

Highly recommend checking them out! And we will definitely be back! (Visited Saturday May 28th)

My New Favorite Restaurant After a day of fishing my friend suggested that we stop at Backfin Blues Creole De Graw and I'm so glad he did. I had popcorn shrimp and a bowl of gumbo and my goodness it was excellent. Took some food home and the family liked it too. Next we had a family outing, visiting the Havre De Grace marina... so you know I took the family to lunch at the same place... they loved it! I had the boom boom shrimp along with shrimp & grits, they had a salad, the gumbo with everything and a shrimp po-boy. The food was delicious the service was great. We enjoyed Backfin Blues Creole De Graw and look forward to when we come back for more that good food.

My fiance and I decided to come here last night and try and place that we have been talking about since we moved to Harford County. I am so glad that we finally were able to come and do so. The food was amazing and the wait staff was beyond friendly. This is definitely being added to our list of special occasion night out locale's. Cant wait to come back and try something new.

My son and I stopped by on Father's Day, and despite how crowded they were, they managed to find a spot for us. It was an awesome time, and the food was amazing!!! Our server, Bre, was fantastic, and her selection guidance was spot on. Katelin, the manager, was absolutely wonderful and welcoming. We started with Duck Fat Fries and Steamed Shrimp before moving on to the Etouffee with Shrimp and Chicken. Completely delicious and complimented perfectly by the beer recommended by Bre. I can’t say enough about the day we had and the welcome we received from these fine folks!

I grew up in the south and lived near New Orleans for awhile. This is as good as it gets. It's way better than we expected and was only going because we miss creole food. If you get a chance try this place for a real southern feel of comfort food. There is no way the chef is not from the south... At least their momma has to be hahahaha

Really nice casual coffee shop. Great comfy atmosphere with two rooms of seating. Features artwork from locals that is for sale. Also have a variety of patries in addition to the coffee and drinks. The cheese danish was amazingly flavorful. There were tables and chairs outside along the front of the building for warmer months.

One of the best things about this coffee shop is that they were always there when I needed them! I worked at a shop down the street, and I frequently stopped here for a coffee refresh. Carl and everyone on staff is always awesome, and always very friendly. The atmosphere is peaceful and bustling at the same time, and there is a lot of camaraderie here. Such a great community meeting spot for small local events. Stopping by Concord Point always put me in a better mood 💜

Wonderful little shop to stop into and grab a cup of coffee in the morning. The town itself is quaint and that matches the inside of this coffee shop. I would highly recommend to the owner that you add a way to give electronic tips through your square checkout process. I usually leave 5 dollars and was unable to. That is my own complaint. Wonderful staff. Will definitely be back. With cash for a tip.

Park
Concord Point Park is a delightful gem nestled in Havre de Grace, perfect for families and nature lovers alike. This scenic park serves as a vibrant hub for various festivals and events, thanks to the city's flourishing arts community. Visitors can enjoy music festivals, art fairs, and the annual Waterfront Festival amidst stunning views of the Atlantic. Families will find plenty to do here; from exploring nearby museums like the Decoy Museum to enjoying picnics under shady trees at well-equipped tables.
Beautiful park at the mouth of the Susquehanna River where it meets the Chesapeake Bay. The lighthouse is pretty and the “Big Fish School of Fish” sculpture is so fun! The veterans memorial is beautiful and touching, as well. The dock juts out into the water and the piers are topped with hand carved “Birds of the Chesapeake”. It’s not a huge park, but it’s well maintained and has amazing views. There’s free parking in the street adjacent to the park, and they have a custom bike rack, as well, if you ride and need to place to lock your bike while enjoying the park. It’s very flat with brick pathways, so persons with disabilities would be able to enjoy the park, as well. It connects to the Promenade, which is a wood walkway that traverses the water’s edge from the park past two museums to the marina.
Karla T — Google review
It’s a great park. Full of wildlife and having the most breathtaking views of the Atlantic, you will be thrilled with the beautiful scenery and calmness that surrounds this magnificent area! My wife and I always take pics and indulge in the moment as we don’t have too many days to enjoy this! Take it in when you can!!! Memories like these have more value than what you will spend on any materialistic product in a lifetime!

Great place for relaxing and walking right by the bay. There are benches to sit on and if you want to dip your toes in the water you can sit on rocks along the water though I'm not sure if swimming is allowed. Fishing pier with benches. Hamburger restaurant
Abbey Burger HDG offers a diverse menu with build-your-own burgers and specialty options like the Southwest Bison Burger, Peanut Butter Burger, and Fried Green Tomato Burger. Kids can enjoy grilled cheese, mac n cheese, sliders, or chicken tenders along with milkshakes and a chocolate chip cookie sundae. The restaurant features award-winning burgers made from various meats including exotic options and vegetarian patties. Additionally, there's a wide selection of beer available.
This burger joint is a great place for anybody who love burgers! There is a checklist that no only lets you pick your toppings for the burger, but the type of meat you want, how you want it cooked, and what type of bun you want on your burger. I had a bison burger with bacon and American cheese medium well. The burger was cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and I could tell it was bison since bison is a leaner meat than beef. For history buffs out there, this restaurant is also located in the most historic building of Havre de Grace. Known as the Rodger's House, this building is the only surviving residence from the Raid of Havre de Grace in 1813 during the War of 1812. Overall, I would recommend this location for those who love burgers, those who love history, and those who love Havre de Grace and all its charm.
Cole M — Google review
I’ve never met someone so petty they questioned their tip after poor service. Have your employer pay your salary and don’t question me for over priced beer and your inability to handle a situation professionally. I was nearly over charged for their pickle chips special pricing and then was chastised for asking for a correction on my chit. Don’t mark $6 all week, then start asking questions if I “mind paying more… ?” Yeah I do. That’s false advertising and to even put me on the spot for my clarification shows a real lack of professionalism. Maybe that’s why this place was dead at dinner rush.
J K — Google review
Was visiting Havre de Grace and tried Abby Burgers for the first time. Front of the restaurant was a bar and was very loud, so we were a little apprehensive, but we were led back the dining room in the back which was much quieter. Nice mix of tables, high tops, and booths. Lots of TV' but they were muted. Melanie was our server and was wonderful. We had seen her outside earlier in the day and she talked up the place so much we had to try it. It was an extremely hot day so burgers were just too heavy, so both my wife and I had the grilled cheese in Texas toast sandwich, which was both light and filling. The fries were a little bit greasy but were well seasoned. I really liked the "build your own" sheet where you could custom build your own burger, from choice of meat to all your toppings. I look forward to taking advantage of that next visit. All in all, a very nice casual dining experience.

Shocking that a burger place can be this bad. Went here today Sunday July 20th with kids and friends. Ordered a pretzel and the chef burned the last one. They substituted with pretzel bites. Thought that was nice of them. We then ordered burgers for the kids and a burger to split with my wife. The waitress said they could cut it in half since we were sharing. They came out a short while later with a extra burger and could figure out why. They took that back. They brought out my burger to split and after bitting the small corner realized the bread was ice cold. No problem I guess. But then the half my wife had was missing any burger reminisce at all. I asked the waitress nicely to take it because I wouldn't want to pay for half a burger. No problem. The manager Victoria came out and said that she never comps any food didn't want to insinuate that we ate the other half BUT there was a burger according to her and the cook. I then became a little shocked that a local restaurant in small havre de grace would say anything like that. I then told her I would like to speak to her boss and that I wouldn't be paying for a missing burger. Tracey the owner got on the phone with Victoria and over the phone stated there was a burger on that bun. I was then really confused how she could be so sure there was a burger on the other half because the patties are small and probably got cut small. I then again let Tracy know there was absolutely no slice sliver price of burger on the other half and I dont believe that they tried to accuse my of eating the half missing. Laughing in disbelief also because kids were with us my wife paid and tipped the waitress either way. It wasn't her fault. But the manager and owner and cook all accuse us of eating taking hiding this missing half. Just in disbelief that they would do that to a customer.

I've been here before, and all experiences thus far have been great. Even this time with a migraine that came outta no where. Ended up leaving early and taking my food home because of it. Our server was great and very nice. My kiddos love picking and choosing their burger options. The atmosphere is bubbly and charged. You can come by yourself or as a group or even do a family outing. Tons of seating: booths, tables, or hightop. They do serve alcohol. Some days or nights, they have live music. Plenty of parking all around, wheelchair accessible door through the backside of the building (parking lot). Public restrooms - as far as I can tell, always clean and stocked up. Just be aware if there are festivities going on in the area. You may have to hike a bit to get there, but it's worth it. Trust me ❤️

Went to try this place out, very old English tavern feel. Service was great, very personable from all the staff. Food was solid, good variety of burgers. Plenty of TVs around, a lot of sound from all around due to acoustics, but still could hear my company at the table. Solid outing overall.

Stopped by after seeing a show at the Cultural Center at Havre de Grace. Abolutely loved how close it was because we didn't have to move our car from where we were parked. Just a 4 minute walk and we were there. We walked in and were greeted immediately by a host with a warm smile and inviting tone. He seated us by a window at a tall table near the bar, which I expected I wasn't going to like because of its proximity to the bar, but was proved wrong quite fast. The bar was not rowdy, but definitely showed signs of patrons with some energy left in them for the day. We barely had time to take it all in before a girl from behind the bar, I believe her name was Hailey (spelling might be wrong) came over and greeted us with that same warm smile and charm as the host did. She took our drink order while making small talk, and explained to us how the Build Your Own Burger worked. Looking over the menu while she got our drinks, there were no shortage of interesting choices ranging from your typical burgers all the way to something that I believe has peanut butter on it. When Hailey returned with the drinks we explained that one of the people we were with was in the show at the Cultural Center so we were on a time budget, to which she immediately offered to get her order in first and fast so that she could go quickly if needed, which is an impressive level of thoughtfulness that you don't see often enough anymore. I opted for the BYOB and ended up going for a few of the typical toppings but I made sure to add on what I believe was called Abbey Sauce to it. Now I may be wrong it what it was called, but whatever it was, was amazing. Within about fifteen minutes all of our food was out. The burgers were all cooked perfectly to order, well seasoned, and topped correctly as ordered. They were thick, juicy, and a far cry from the frozen "crap" that you get from some of these places nowadays. The fries seemed almost hand cut like boardwalk style fries. I would have loved some malt vinegar to go with them but even standalone they were amazing. Hailey checked on us regularly and again made welcomed small talk as we discussed shows at the Cultural Center. Then when we finished the bill came, and surprisingly was much cheaper than expected. All in all Abbey Burger is a little gem that I can not wait to go back to again. The quaint historic tavern charm is very prominent and honestly worth a good photograph or group selfie when you are enjoying your time. And if you are lucky enough to get the staff that I had on my visit, you will be leaving the same way I did. A big smile, a full stomach, and a mind swimming with which amazing burger to try next.

With river views and a tavern hosting happy hour and weekend live music, MacGregor's provides an enjoyable dining experience.
They recently changed the menu, everything we tried was great. The American burger was very good, definitely try the seasoned fries. We also got a crab cake and it’s probably the best in town. They also had some live music on a Thursday night.

8/25/25 Let’s talk about the spontaneous trip to MacGergor’s a few months after Gordon left. My friend and I were famished so we decided to pop in a little after they opened. You choose in outdoor seating and the vibe was just right with the breeze off the water. Good lighting and music the bar looks well stocked. Jackie our server was soo great and attentive. We started with mocktails(coconut mojito, blackberry lime lemonade) they both hit. Next calamari a tad salty still liked them the jalapeños gave it a nice touch. I choose the rock fish tacos as my entree. They were good the mango salsa pulled it together on the warm corn tortillas. The side was chips and salsa from what tasted like Tostitos. But what out shined it all you ask……? The blueberry pie of course, it was absolutely perfect with the scoop of ice cream. It’s a great place to enjoy great service, drinks, and the rest the the desserts with friends

Just checked out this place today, due to all the hype with Gordon Ramsay helping them out and relaunch new food. The interior is nice but the lights had a small flicker every few minutes. The server and hostess were both friends and kind. However, our appetizers and main courses arrived at the same time, this is the second time this has happened there. I really wanted to love the food but it just doesn't scream fresh and local. The wings had an odd taste, the fries tasted of lemon, and the dinner rolls were so hard. Really was hoping to love it there.

It was a very pleasant dinner on a quiet Sunday. The food is as good as the views and they did a great job. The service was fantastic and quick and we left with a very good experience. The tavern area is cute and has very nice ambience!

We surprised the crew with a party of 10 on an extremely busy night. They were super friendly and got us seated incredibly fast! Jordan served our whole crew with an amazing smile and incredible attitude. She made our night!! Thank you!!!

French toast was very good for brunch. Sandwich wasn’t personally my favorite but the presentation was great! Service was 10/10! Atmosphere was enjoyable :) Can’t wait to go back for a dinner 😊

Sadly disappointed in the beef used to make my burger. I simply couldn't finish it. It just wasn't good to me. Service was friendly but slow. Beautiful views of the bay.

Pub
Nestled in the heart of downtown Havre de Grace, Coakley's Pub is a charming Irish bar that exudes a cozy atmosphere with its dark wood interiors and inviting vibe. This casual family-friendly spot boasts an extensive menu that caters to all tastes, featuring everything from hearty steaks and fresh seafood to their renowned crab soup and buffalo wings. During my recent visit, I couldn't help but notice the lively ambiance as locals gathered at picnic tables nearby, soaking up the beautiful weather.
Great time as always . However what made me want to step up and write a review was Our Server Alex. He is one of the best that we had from there. Super knowledgeable about the Menu and our drinks were always filled . He was Checking on us enough to make sure we had what we needed but not overdoing it. Alex’s Very friendly demeanor made it pleasant lunch for both me and my partner. We go there often and the team we always have is good but Alex was great today. Thanks for a good experience. The cream of crab and crab dip as always super delicious.

Thank you for serving plant based protein! We ordered the chicken tenders and crispy chicken wrap, a bit pricey but absolutely delicious!! We’d love to see you add a veggie dog in the future 🌱🌭

This place is wonderful. It takes up an entire block and has a wonderful patio area in addition where they play live music on the weekends. Good service. Tasty food. Kids menu too.

Was a beautiful day to just chill after a long walk at the river with my daughter. Food and service was on point.but had to fly a few yellow jackets home because they drank to much of my beer. Lol

Amazing casual early anniversary lunch. Best seafood nachos we have ever had!!! Never had a bad meal...or service. Only recommendations, need purse/coat hanger inside the stalls of the ladies room.

crab bisque was reallllly good. everything else was average. your average run of the mill sports bar. was hoping for better quality seafood though, considering the location. also, the wait staff were wearing leggings and grey yoga pants? come on now

Nice outdoor seating, slow service (some went to another bar in the restaurant for service) food was cold. But the outdoors were nice. It was funny when the server said she should have checked on us.

Overall, the food was bad. My wife and I both had dishes with shrimp salad. The ss was drowning in mayo, and neither of us were able to find a whole shrimp, it was all broken pieces. The waiters were fine and it was a nice atmosphere, but we won't return for the food.

Italian restaurant
La Cucina is a charming family restaurant located in the historic district of Havre de Grace. It offers a variety of Italian dishes such as pizza, pasta, and sub sandwiches in a cozy setting. The restaurant is run by a family of Naples immigrants who bring their traditional recipes to the table. Guests can enjoy regional specialties like stuffed manicotti, homestyle lasagna, and eggplant parmigiana throughout the week.
It was so great to get back to La Cucina. What a wonderful space for immersive Italian dining - cafe style. They pack a lot of dining into an family-sized space. Love their full menu from finer cuisine to short order takeout. We like to cozy up in a booth and this night had two of their specials, the positano and the crostacie. Both were superbly delicious. Started off with some calamari and red sangria. Nice bar with good wine selection and a range of beers. Old-fashion upright desert case is a classic! So glad to be back, and look forward to our next visit.

So I have been here before and it’s been good if you sit down and dine. I got take out last night and I was extremely disappointed to the point where I wish I would have called and just brought everything back, and got a refund of $68 for a total of 4 items. I got the antipasto dish and as you can see in the photo it was possibly the WORST and most overly priced food item I have ever paid for. This thing was almost $15 and this is what I get?! Like come on you’re supposed to be an Italian restaurant. Then my son got the mussels which included about 5 closed mussels he couldn’t eat. The chicken crochets were more vegetable than chicken, and the Greek salad was basically a normal iceberg with a few very small pieces of feta cheese. It was terrible. But the fact that I’m pregnant and was starving I ate the stuff because I wasn’t driving 20 minutes back. Needless to say I won’t be returning there and I suggest if you want to eat here you either dine in or make sure your ready to over pay for mediocre food. I really thought it would be better because I know it’s authentic and you would think for the prices the food would be better.

We thought this place was amazing. All the food was great. Service was top-notch! Pizza and hamburger were huge for the price, but the pasta dishes were quite expensive! We weren't mad though because of how delicious the food was! This place is a must if you are in the area. They can make anything gluten-free and have a great gluten-free menu.

My first time here, I wanted to check it out , so I didn't feel like dining in , it was packed on a Saturday evening as it should. I ordered a large chicken cheese steak and baked ziti. The chicken cheese steak was ok not the best but not the worst , as far as the baked ziti ,that was very salty. This place is real Italian owned and I definitely had higher hopes .

La Cucina has delicious gluten free dishes that make my heart and palate so happy! And Marissa is an amazing waitress! Thank you so much for making our anniversary dinner so special!

The pizza was really good. They didn't even skimp on the bacon - which is rare. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The mozzarella sticks were average. The atmosphere was a bit dark, and the decor was a bit busy. But it still hit as a cozy spot. It was a good crossover between a pizza hole in the wall and an Italian restaurant. The only bad thing to say was that they were very aggressive about credit card charges and trying to convince you to use cash. I'm sure that CC fees are crazy, but just roll it into your prices like everywhere else in the world. Making a big deal and asking for cash tips only is tacky.

I got the gluten free pizza baked in olive oil with sauce on the side for dipping. Smells great when you walk in.

My wife and I stopped for lunch. Luckily, the first place we tried had a long wait! The restaurant itself has a great Italian family run feel and vibe. The service was awesome. Waitress was very nice, quick and attentive. The food was as good as I had hoped. Started with mozzarella sticks. I ordered the meat lasagna, which was delicious. My wife ordered a chicken salad; looked great, and came with a large serving of chicken I'd definitely recommend
