Sandpoint in 5 days

If you only have 5 days to spend in Sandpoint, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Sandpoint sits on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille, one of the largest and deepest lakes in the Pacific Northwest, backed by the forested Selkirk Mountains. Visitors come for year-round outdoor recreation, from skiing and snowboarding at Schweitzer ski resort to boating, hiking, and cycling in warmer months. Its compact downtown offers locally owned shops, galleries, and breweries, plus access to the scenic Sandpoint City Beach and long-distance bike paths like the Sand Creek Trail. The area’s natural scenery and relaxed small-town atmosphere make it a popular base for exploring northern Idaho.
With favorites like Babs’ Pizzeria, Panhandle Cone & Coffee, and Matchwood Brewing Company, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Taysty's Eatery and Wine Bar and Spuds Waterfront Grill so you can get the best taste of Sandpoint while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Sandpoint City Beach Park is a charming and picturesque lakefront park located on a scenic peninsula where Lake Pend Oreille meets the Pend Oreille River in Northern Idaho. This 22-acre park features sandy beaches, designated swimming areas with lifeguard stations, and floating boating docks. Visitors can enjoy the stunning views of the expansive lake and snow-capped mountains while basking in the warm sand during summer days.
Used to spend a lot of time here when I was a younger teenager this is a great beach park. They don’t have the paddle boats anymore and the water is definitely cold. Lol but great place to go for a swim with a beach in northern Idaho beautiful mountain Vistas in the background. You can do a boat ride if you want whether it’s going around the lake during the day or for Sunset go check out the castle!

Love the city beach at Sandpoint! 5/5 stars. Visit multiple times each year. Amazing facilities for pickleball and basketball. Public restroom. Beautiful beach with a concrete barrier thing to jump off. Ice cream shop that is reasonably priced. I've seen bald eagles in the trees, and pirate ships sailing by. Short walk from town. Get there early on Saturdays, parking fills up before noon.

Definitely worth the stop, great views of the lake and nice to walk around or play in the water. Beach is coarse sand and fine gravel. Small food stand right near the beach

We went to Standpoint to get away for a weekend. We were surprised that this beach was not to crowded and we were able to find ample parking. We went there for the Eagle and Castle cruise. It was a wonderful two hours and the beach was beautiful. We had a great time and highly recommend it.

Amazing & beautiful scenery. Left the car unlocked & everything was safe! Pleasant for older adults, adults & kids. Very nice walking trail & got to capture this beautiful sunset.

Beach was nice. while there is a huge parking lot, it gets very busy quick. We got there around 2pm and circled the parking lot for about 20 minutes until we found a parking spot.

A Sandpoint community treasure with vast sandy beaches, a pier, playground, volleyball, basketball and tennis courts and horseshoe pits. Expansive park with picnic and BBQ areas and nice public restrooms.

Seafood restaurant
Trinity At City Beach is an upscale American restaurant located on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille, near Sandpoint's famous City Beach. The bright and vibrant space offers outdoor seating and live music, making it a premier dining destination in Sandpoint. With a population of around 8,000, the area attracts retirees who enjoy outdoor activities such as biking, fishing, boating, and skiing.
Well, after hunting around for somewhere to eat, we found the Trinity Restaurant. We looked at their menu online and decided to give it a try. Boy, am I glad we did. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent and the location was very relaxing. I had the Breaded Trout, and my wife had the 12oz NY Strip Steak. Both meals were excellent and flavorful. The steak was done to perfection, ordered medium rare, and my trout was cooked perfectly. For dessert, we shared a sticky toffee pudding, which was a good as if not better than the ones I grew up with in England. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Overall, it was a fantastic meal. The price is a bit up there but well worth it, in my opinion. I'd give 6 stars if I could. I highly recommend this place. We ate early at around 4 pm, and by the time we left, it was very busy, and this was a Sunday.
James M — Google review
Great restaurant with excellent service at an amazing location. The food was hit and miss - with the nachos being so so and the steak salad being incredible. The bread rolls were very soft and came with generous salted butter for each roll. Cheesecake with huckleberry was amazing. Caesar was so so. The view is stunning and I would highly suggest eating outside. Cocktails were good too. Service was top notch - everyone had a sense of urgency and checked in on us frequently.
Adam W — Google review
Arrived one hour before closing. The food was very good. It took longer than customary for our food to arrive so the waitress offered a free dessert (one of which we accepted) and more bread (which we didn’t need.) Beautiful view, great service, great food!
Jana H — Google review
Both of our meals came out luke warm. The food would have been ok if hot but especially fries need to be hot! The reuben seemed to be thrown together and not made with care. All the sauce was a blob in one spot and the meat was not evenly distributed. Way too much bread for a little bit of meat. The waitress had so much perfume on it gave us both a headache. The atmosphere on the deck is wonderful right at the lake. Wish it would have been a better experience.
Karen D — Google review
This place is phenomenal! Great food, even greater dessert. Our server, Jake, went above and beyond to make this experience enjoyable. Their staff is very attentive. Thank you so much, Jake!

We've lived here for three years and this is the first time coming to Trinity at City Beach. We will be there again. We were told that it was super expensive and the type of place you would come for an anniversary or birthday. Turns out it's not terribly expensive. The service is impeccable. We had four entrees and three glasses of wine for a hundred bucks. The New York strip that I got was so tender and delicious. Next time I go back I'm going to get the filet to round out my porterhouse. I also had pulled pork enchiladas. The mole a sauce was and the pulled pork was tender. The wife had crab which were fluffy and full of crab. The view of the lake was beautiful. The tables are separated so you don't feel crowded. I can't wait to go back.
Fred R — Google review
Wonderful experience for lunch! Good menu with well done favorites. I had the Poutine! Fries, gravy, cheese: perfect. The serving was huge and that was all I ate for lunch. For dessert we shared a Gluten Free chocolate and vanilla cake. It was delicious. Definitly recommended if you need or like GF. But the food is only part of the package. The view from the patio is beautiful. It is covered and offers views of the beach, lake, and mountains. Great service makes a wonderful experience. Definitely recommended.

The restaurant serves handcrafted gourmet burgers made from locally-sourced ingredients. Customers can choose from classic cheeseburgers to specialty options loaded with various toppings. It was so good that we went twice in one week. I got the Popper and the Fun Guy, both were equally delicious. I love their fries and they have a fun assortment of beers and canned cocktails. Our friends got milkshakes and everyone was raving about how good they were. I highly recommend sitting outside in the summer, it's the best. We love coming back here year after year!

This place has so much potential ! Burger was good, but burger patty was small and definitely not the star. The fries were the best part! Staff was near non existent but overall taste was good. Restaurant was kinda dirty as we cleaned our own table. Honest review!!

Excellent food! Thoughtful and delicious burgers! Simple menu with the best flavor combos and a great atmosphere.
Alicia F — Google review
The burger was outstanding, and I had the jalapeño popper! Bacon was fresh, not too much sauce, just perfect! The fries were great, not salty or greasy! Would be a 5 star, but the entire time, not 1 table was wiped down, including ours. Limited parked FYI. Will be visiting again!

Great burger. Cooked just right with great proportions of fixings. Outrageous helping of perfectly cooked and salted fries. Quite quick and friendly service - especially for our group of 13 people. Can't wait to go back and eat on the patio. Nothing negative to say!
Hayden O — Google review
I am visiting from Arizona and stopped in! I am so glad because the burgers were delicious!!!
Robin S — Google review
When I walked in the atmosphere was great! I ordered the Popper, which is like a jalapeño popper on a burger. On the menu it said that all the burgers came with fries and their house sauce. I started seeing my friends food come out and there was a lot of food on their plates. But when mine came out I had a very very small bag of fries. I also didn’t get a sauce with mine either which I had to ask for. I was confused because my friends fries were in a bag twice the size of mine and they told me they ordered the exact same thing as me. The burger was good, I’m just disappointed on how little fries they gave me with a meal that already costed $20…
Isabella T — Google review
The Fun Guy burger was fabulous. I swapped Brie for the Swiss, removed the tomato, and added bacon! Talk about the ultimate messy burger, I needed 5 napkins and a hose by the time I was done! The fries were OK, but way too salty. Their fry sauce is mustard based for something a little different. The place is loud, and it's too early in the season for the rolling door to be open

Nestled in the heart of downtown Sandpoint, Panhandle Cone & Coffee is a delightful ice cream haven that invites visitors to indulge in an array of unique and locally inspired flavors. This charming shop, founded by the Dillon family after their move from southern Oregon, prides itself on using regionally sourced ingredients to craft creamy delights like Buttermilk Huckleberry and Sasquatch. With a rotating seasonal menu and options for everyone—including vegan treats—there's something for every palate.
Hands down the best ice cream I've ever had. I believe they make it in house, as well as the cones (gluten free available!). The smell in there is a heavenly combination of baked cones and coffee. Sooo many ice cream flavors it will be hard to chose. Dairy free options. Be prepared to wait in line, but it is a must visit!!

Ice cream is good, you can tell it’s home made! Flavor is subtle and not overpowering .friendly staff and cool place

Traveling through Sandpoint on a weekend get away and found this little place for ice cream. So lovely and delicious. The girl working this evening was very knowledgeable and ever so sweet, she was very kind and patient as I asked questions and sampled a few of the flavors. I highly recommend this little shop and look forward to trying their coffee as well.

Great flavor options that are delicious. Dairy & Gluten free choices. We got a flight of 4 flavors.
Nathan S — Google review
I’m a total sucker for locally made ice cream and huckleberries. So imagine my delight when I got into Panhandle and they had Buttermilk Huckleberry. Sign me up! Split the scoop with Peanut Butter Cup. Nice sized chunks of peanut butter cups and peanut butter ice cream. YUM! I didn’t try the non dairy but they had about 4 flavors. Also GF sugar cones. They make it easy to enjoy their ice cream. Wish I could stay longer just so I could have more…
Pam W — Google review
The huckleberry was delightful. Other flavors were good too - staff are very nice and allow samples to get the right flavor.

Excellent!! I rarely eat ice cream anymore due to how artificial many taste and poor textures. Panhandle has an awesome selection of flavors with each component having well-developed flavor. Great waffle cones, too.

Located in Sandpoint, MickDuff's Brewing Company is an airy microbrewery that serves a variety of craft beers and refined bar eats. With a laid-back atmosphere and sports on TV, it provides the perfect setting for enjoying their own rootbeer or one of their handcrafted beers. The menu offers a range of American food options like burgers and barbecue, as well as fine vegetarian dishes.
I didn’t get the best pics or videos, but this place was a cool atmosphere having the brewery equipment in the visible floor below where we were eating. The flights were cool, you filled out a paper with which drafts you want and they bring you back the same paper as a placemat with the corresponding pours of the craft beer. The food we ordered was the rice bowl as well as a burger, it was very good all around. Our waiter was very busy the whole time but he took care of us !
Drea H — Google review
We got right in on a Friday night at 5 pm. We sat across from the bar where we could see down into where the large barrels of beer are. My husband loved his top sirloin steak with asparagus, fries, and chimchurri. He loved everything about his meal except for the fries. They were boring and not great which is very surprising for a brewery. My chicken Caesar salad was excellent. All the beer is great! My husband really liked the Deckhand IPA. I chose to do the 6 beer taster, which is always a win!
Megan S — Google review
Exceptional food, attentive service, and a truly unique historic setting. We decided to stop for lunch during our travels and were genuinely impressed by every aspect of the experience. From the moment we arrived until the end, everything was excellent. Our meals arrived quickly and hot, and at an average cost of about $16 per person, it was an outstanding value, highly recommend the Thai spiced chicken wrap!
Justin B — Google review
Love the building! Was neat to read up on the history of the place. Food was very good as well. The fresh cut chips and jalapeño bbq ranch were the star and the French dip was a close second. My only complaint was the service. It wasn’t terrible by any means but sub par for sure. At first we seemed like an inconvenience and there was zero friendliness. Quite unwelcoming. Seemed like our server was just there to simply give us our food and nothing else beyond that.
Ashley W — Google review
Ordered some mozzarella sticks today from the Take Out Toast app. The order said pick up at 2 so I had 25 min before needing to arrive. My order was 15 min late and when I got home I open it to find half of my order over cooked (still edible) then the other half not cooked enough and still doughy. I called and they refunded my order but still…. They were not busy at all and it’s like they didn’t even look at these before sending them out. Not cool who ever prepped these!

When I am in Sandpoint, this is my go-to place to eat and enjoy a drink. Always great food with wonderful service. Must try there beer cheese soup. I also add reds hot into it as well. I have to get it every time. Best dip for the frys, let alone taste great on your burgers or sandwiches.
Devon ( — Google review
This is actually two places so to speak and we visited both. The restaurant is in the old post office building and is very nice and historic. We wanted to sit outside but were told a group gathering had it booked so we had to stay inside. Service was fine and the food was good. We were there early so ate off of the "happy hour" menu which also featured a buck or two off on beer. Overall we'd recommend this place but there wasn't anything particularly outstanding about it - just solid food and service. About a block over is the beer hall and it is more of a standard brewery feel with a spacious interior and a number of good beers on tap. We found all of the beers we tried to be quite good. The beer garden off of the beer hall is great and we were lucky we had good weather to sit outside and enjoy it. Some hedges block traffic noise and there were a number of good natured dogs (and people :-)) outside. They also have a popcorn machine and you can enjoy free popcorn with your beer. A nice touch.
Dan — Google review
This is not your standard pub food, this is pretty high quality grub. The brewpub is quite busy but that's only because the beer and the food is so good. With is so busy, it is a little noisy so if you give your kids a screen to keep them occupied, also bring headphones. This place is kid friendly so bring the whole family. There are steps to get up to the door so you'd want to call about wheelchair/walker accessibility, but I think they have a back door at street level. There is plenty of space between tables & booths so definitely ADA friendly once inside. The service is fantastic. Very friendly and more than happy to answer any question or make special accommodations. Definitely recommend this place.

One of our favorite times to go there is during open mic on Saturdays, which is ran by Frytz Mor. There is so much talent just waiting to be heard. Stopped in on a long bike ride from CdA, in large part because of their patio seating. They have decent food options, friendly service, and solid coffee drinks. Would recommend for a sunny afternoon visit. Unique breakfast place with very attentive staff and nice atmosphere. Inside a small mall full of fun, artsy shops on the first floor overlooking the water (Sand Creek?). Best breakfast pizza I've ever come across! My husband had the Turkey Apple Crêpe and I took it upon myself to give it a try so I could write a more detailed review. We stopped in for our daughter to get some soup, but we were blown away that we could get any sandwich put on a baked potato instead of bread! It was not only delicious but beautiful as well! I had the roast beef, which was made right there on the grill and was very tender and full of flavor. My husband had the burger on the baked potato, and the staff said that was a first that someone tried it that way. Great place, creative food, and nice deck to sit on enjoying the water. You do order and pay at the counter and then they bring the food out to the table, but that was no problem for us. We'd definitely come again!

Beautiful location, terrible experience for gluten-free diners. I was excited to try this restaurant for their advertised gluten-free options, but the experience was disappointing. When I told the cashier I was gluten- and dairy-free, he laughed and seemed clueless. The manager’s response was dismissive, but we ordered anyway. The avocado was hard and inedible, the potato was dry, and no one checked on us. The only staff in the dining area were busboys, including the one who laughed at me, so I didn’t feel comfortable asking for anything. If you don’t want to serve people with food allergies, don’t advertise “gluten-free” all over your menu. The location is beautiful, but the service and food quality were poor.

Our meal was unexpectedly AWESOME! Right away our host/server Jesse gave us samples of some soups and made excellent recommendations. The nutty goat cheese salad, turkey rice soup, San Miguel sandwich and fries were all delightful. The restaurant sits right next to the river and has a fun, casual atmosphere.

Thai Nigiri Restaurant is a contemporary dining establishment that offers a fusion of Pan-Asian cuisine. This restaurant combines traditional Thai cooking with creative sushi rolls, creating a unique and flavorful menu. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, perfect for an enjoyable dining experience. Their sushi lunch special combo menu features a variety of delectable options such as shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, and tempura California rolls.
We came here over Labor Day weekend, it was so good! It's more than just Thai food. We got the crab ragoons, shrimp tempura and super dragon roll. Thai fried rice as a main and yellow curry. Husband said the yellow curry was great he was just not a fan of the pineapple. I loved the Thai fried rice, the sushi and the crab ragoons.

Solid place. Food was great. Got their curry which was a def 10/10. Low key it beat an Indian restaurant in Seattle with their take on it. Soups are totally worth it miso and tom yum were solid choices. Although their miso was by far better than most places I’ve tried as well. Worth a try if you’re are visiting

I recently dined at Thai Nigiri, and unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. The service was downright terrible, with staff members coming across as rude and borderline aggressive. It felt like they were doing us a favor just by taking our order. The menu was shockingly limited, with very few items available, which was disappointing for a Thai restaurant that should have a diverse selection. We had to specifically ask for white rice, which should be a standard offering at any Thai place, and even that felt like pulling teeth. To top it off, they automatically included gratuity on the bill, which felt unjustified given the abysmal service. The food itself was alright—nothing memorable or exceptional, just passable. Overall, the poor service, limited menu, and rude staff made this a place I won’t be returning to anytime soon. Save your money and try somewhere else.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Sandpoint, Secret Thai Cafe is a hidden gem that offers an authentic taste of Thailand. This cozy, informal spot specializes in classic Thai dishes, featuring a delightful array of curries, noodles, and rice options that are sure to satisfy any craving. As someone with Thai heritage, discovering this cafe was like finding treasure; it’s run by a passionate owner who truly understands the essence of Thai cuisine.
I have LOVED coming here since I was a kid 😍 my favorite place in town, everyone’s so nice, the portions are divine, and don’t even get me started on the flavor! 10/10 highly recommend ❤️❤️❤️

The food was amazing and the owner was very kind. This place was a welcomed change from the usual burger joints scattered all over town. Would highly recommend.

I ordered their Gang Panang Red Curry and it was amazing. I've traveled to Thailand and had a handful of local and authentic cuisines. As soon as I bit into my curry, I tasted the same authenticity from 9 years ago. This place is truly amazing, and even though I've only had it once, I have no doubt that every dish is made with love. As a caution, beware of your spice tolerance, but be ready to heighten your taste buds to new levels. A MUST have in Sandpoint!

Secret Thai Cafe is the place! The name is certainly fitting it's hard to find small, very small cafe in downtown Sandpoint. If you're craving some healthy food after some outdoor activities it's the best! We came here after skiing Schweitzer in their last half hour open and they were cooking for us until the last minute they were open! Amazing and fresh and flavorful! Id recommend and go back!

First time here after finding this little Secret Thai Place. It is off the beaten path, hole in the wall and no dine in, BUT you can take it to go and have a beer at Mick Duffs at the other end of the building. Good good, long wait (1 hour) for us. If you like Thai food and local music beer this is a good place to eat from.

The portions are not just small but very small. In this one for almost around $14, there were 6 shrimp raw onions and raw mushrooms and cherry tomato's. All this poured with boiling water and seasoning look like from instant noodles

Day 2

Center of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the center side of town. Start the day off with Eichardt's Pub Grill & Coffee, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Laughing Dog Brewing. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

This vibrant establishment offers a diverse selection of pub fare, artisanal brews, and live musical performances in a relaxed setting. Eichardts has established itself as a renowned destination for quality beverages and delectable cuisine. While the outdoor area may be limited, securing one of the picnic tables is highly recommended as it provides an enjoyable pitstop along your journey.
We are so glad we happened upon this little gem when another local restaurant turned us away from sitting outside due to them being short-staffed (we had our dog). The food here is SUPERB! Delicious, fresh, real, flavorful. The vibe is super awesome and the people were all smiling and nice. We will definitely be back and make this our new post-mountain bike recovery meal spot!!

I crafted a road trip to Sandpoint, Idaho and upon check-in of my hotel, the front desk clerk recommended Eichardt’s - it was more than I could have ever imagined! First off this place does not immediately give you “we serve amazing food” vibes. It has a cozy-local pub feel with what you would anticipate would be pub food. It also offers a small live band that sounds fantastic! They definitely have every beer/ IPA imaginable minus any liquor. (PS. I did have a glass of Prosecco since I was in vacation mode) I’m not sure if it was the fact that I rarely rarely drink or if it was simply just amazing Prosecco, but it was delicious. I decided on cheese ravioli with their season grilled chicken.. OMG!!!! All I can say is that meal was one of the BEST! The cesar salad was not without its merits either, so scrumptious! The staff were also very polite. I can’t encourage this place enough so if you find yourself in the Sandpoint area, make it a point to try it!! (Haha) Marvelous! 💫💫💫

Really great place. Food was amazing, great drink selection, great staff and service, and they do live music regularly. What more could you want?
Anna Z — Google review
I'll start with the good and say the staff is very friendly. Clean place and old charm. This is one of those places that's been around for so long, it has loyalty. The food however, is nothing special. Fish and chips were dry/overcooked, but even if they weren't, it was just standard frozen fish put in a deep fryer. Breeding seemed factory. Fries oversalted terribly. Curry was ok, but again nothing to write home about. You would think for the prices the quality would be much better, but it's standard Sysco quality. We tried to come here once before and after an hour waiting on appetizers, we cancelled the order and left. They were not busy tonight and it still took a long time to get the food out. We were sure based on reviews and prices that it would be worth it. Bottom line, there are far better places to eat in town such as The Fat Pig, the forge pizza, Otara brewery Indian food, and more.

Fun and funky bar. Came by late evening as the music drew us in. Band was amazing. Played old school rock n roll like it should be played. Bartender was very cool. Fun dive bar decor.
Virginia H — Google review
As soon as you walk into Eichardt's you think to yourself, "Yes! This is exactly the type of bar I was looking for." Great atmosphere, friendly faces and the food coming out of the kitchen looked scrumptious. My wife, son (10) and I were there on a Sunday night to grab a beer and something to eat. My son got the grilled cheese and fries, wife got a veggie melt in a wrap with salmon and I got the chicken parmesan with a side salad. I'll first tell you how amazing the food was. Everything that was brought out took a bit longer than expected but the wait was worth it. The food was delicious. By the way, I had a Star Dust IPA to compliment my meal which was delicious. With that said, my wife never got her salmon in her wrap and I begged them to BURN my son's fries, which came out limp like regular fries. I could have sent it back but I didn't. Everything was blamed on a "new cook". As a customer, I don't care to hear about whose fault it is, I just expect it to be right. I don't want it to sound like my review is encouraging anyone to stay away. On the contrary, I think this place was awesome with a few minor setbacks. I would definitely go back.
Kris S — Google review
We visit Eichardt's Pub every time we go to Sandpoint - and we've always had a fun time sitting at the bar. Their salmon artichoke dip is delicious - in fact, everything we have tried is good. They have a great beer selection and the owner is a blast to trade stories with. They even have original local art on the walls. We all agreed the bartender could be nicer. She was so unbelievably snarky and contrary, we had to laugh. Part of the charm? Update: After several more visits to Sandpoint it's well past time to upgrade my rating from a 3 to a 5. We love everything about this place and consider it a staple stop.

City Beach Organics is a laid-back eatery with a rustic ambiance that offers organic breakfast and lunch options, as well as an array of fresh juices and smoothies. The restaurant boasts scenic waterfront views and occasionally features live music for a relaxing dining experience. In addition to its daytime offerings, the establishment also serves modern American cuisine for dinner, including delectable dishes like Roasted Half Chicken, N.Y.
Great casual atmosphere with indoor & outdoor options, sidewalk tables, and retractable glass garage doors-allowing for beach breezes and fresh air. The food took some time, but it's scratch made, fresh and packed with flavor. Plenty of vegan options and all organic! Recommend the delicious V breakfast melt with mushrooms, peppers, onions, avocado and ginger sauerkraut- maybe as a bowl next time.

Really unique food, I got the pesto melt and it was really good. It tasted healthy but in a good way, and it was made on this buckwheat pancake. Overall the combination of ingredients work really well together. I also got the Idahoan Aloha and it was pretty good. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

They were busy during lunch time. It was quite spendy.... $22 for a juice and salad. But it was really really good. It was weird the juice was lukewarm with no ice in it. High quality ingredients and definitely the place if you have allergies or food sensitivity. Didn't wait too long. Staff seemed busy but attentive. No parking lot, street parking only.

Went to this place for a quick coffee on our way back from Sandpoint on a Sunday, the aroma of food and the interesting menu motivated us to stay for brunch, and absolutely loved the result! Their food is fresh, lots of options to choose from, very reasonable pricing and provides a tastefully done interior. We ordered one veg wrap and one chicken wrap with added pesto. These were the best wraps I have had till date. So tasty, flavorful, fresh and filling. We also ordered some hazelnut mocha and some raspberry mocha (these were seasonal specialties) and loved them. This place is a must try in the area!

I travel thousands of miles just to eat at City Beach Organics—and it’s worth every mile. The food is fresh, vibrant, and made with so much love. I’ve never had a bad experience here. The vibe is peaceful, the staff is kind, and everything on the menu is pure nourishment. If you’re anywhere near Sandpoint, do yourself a favor and go! A few things to note…they make several of their own syrups and milks, everything is gluten free and they have lots of vegan options as well.

What a wonderful and unexpected place to get such fresh and tasty health food. I have had breakfast and lunch here several times when in town. The whole family love the vibe and all the food. If you haven't experienced fusion cuisine yet, make sure to visit The Fat Pig, situated on Cedar Street near Farmin Park. This popular Gastropub offers a unique dining experience with a combination of flavors from different cuisines. Their menu features delectable options such as Korean BBQ chicken tenders and duck nachos made with duck confit and belly bits - perfect for snacking.
My husband and I have an incredible time whenever we eat here. We come here anytime we want something a little nicer than what we can get in CDA or Post Falls, and have made it our regular spot to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The menu is just the right amount of elevated, and changes seasonally. We both got the hanger steak for our anniversary dinner this year. A month later, I’m still thinking about how good it was. I can’t wait for our next visit!

Well, this is a home run of a restaurant! First of all Ken, our server, did an excellent job explaining the menu to us and listening to our concerns about certain aspects of the menu...such as what might be too spicy for our tastes. He was very patient with us and made suggestions and we appreciated it. We started with the Sweet spicy belly bits. This is a dish many other reviewers mentioned and it was different, delicious and we were glad we tried it. I love chicken so I chose the new summer menu offering of pan sauteed chicken on pesto with roasted cauliflour, topped with a tomato/balsamic relish. Outstanding. My husband had the summer menu item of cumin rubbed roasted pork chop with refried pinto beans, avocado and he chose to replace the cole slaw with roasted Brussels sprouts. I can't tell you how much we both enjoyed both the food and the experience! We dined on the patio and we highly recommend that if it is available. We chose wine instead of beer. We probably won't be visiting Sandpoint again as we are on a quest to visit all 50 states (Idaho is #41 so we're almost done!) Sandpoint is a lovely commuity with such friendly people. There are a lot of choices in Sandpoint of very nice restaurants. We're only getting to try 3 dining restaurants. If you look at the menu and think...hmmm, maybe...then I'd encourage you to go for it! You won't be sorry. The menu changes frequently and that is a tribute to the wonderful staff in the kitchen! And if you are lucky, Ken will be your server on the night you visit.

There is a wide range of food but lack in flavor in general. Chicken is good. Perfect fried and flavored. But stuffed mushroom has no flavor and the noodle in the noodle salad is very stale and reheated. Service and the ambiance is great tho.

Highly recommend the restaurant. We picked this restaurant because it was the only one open late in town. We ordered burssels, salmon and shrimp. Brussles was a bit overcooked but still delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked and shrimp had amazing seasoning. The service was great as well. Will return back next time.

Oh my goodness! This place makes me want to move to Sandpoint! My daughter in law made reservations for an 8:30 dinner after the high school graduation having never been here before. We dined in the main dining area although they also have great outside dining. Our son ordered 2 servings of Pork Bellies as an appetizer for all of us. They were served with cucumbers. This is a dish I’ve never tried before and it was delicious. The 5 of us left crumbs. Our server was upbeat, engaging and efficient. Each of us ordered a different dish and we were all very impressed with the flavor and quality. Upon the first bite, we were impressed enough to encourage taste testing around the table. Our daughter in law ordered an appetizer of shrimp in peppercorn sauce with leeks, mushrooms, and crostini. I will definitely return for that and may lick my plate to get every succulent morsel. Her mother ordered expertly seared salmon on a bed of the most flavorful roasted cauliflower hummus I’ve ever tasted. My choice was the spicy shrimp with a perfect amount of heat. I devoured the shrimp and half the ramen, bringing the remaining ramen home for reheat with scrambled eggs and sausage links. The restaurant was slated to close at 10, but due to the activity of the community it was still going strong when we left with no evidence of an intended closure on the customers who were being cheerfully seated and handed menus. This establishment is obviously well run from top to bottom, with the entire premises clean and well maintained. Had it not been a 55 mile drive from our son’s house, I would have been there for dinner the following night. Every dish I tried was perfectly seasoned and delicious, in addition to an appealing presentation. You can’t go wrong on your order. *I didn’t try the carne asada, but our son was surprised it was not sliced. No picture of that dish or the burger.
Chris T — Google review
I love the atmosphere, the service is always good. This place has a lot of potential. I've eaten here multiple times, and unfortunately, each time the food, specifically the entrees, has gotten worse. Last night I ordered their baked shrimp and the dish was just so bad I couldn't eat it. The unseasoned shrimp arrived in a pool of a sour and bitter watery mess. I have no idea if that was supposed to be a broth or a sauce, but the concept of the dish was just all off. The risotto was deep-fried and still cold in the center. The waitress was very gracious and took back the dish and we were not charged for it. My husband ordered the ramen, and while it has good toppings, the broth had zero flavor. The only highlight of the food was our appetizer, the fried chicken with a Korean flair. That has always been consistently good here.

This family-friendly establishment has a large patio that can accommodate groups of all sizes, making it an ideal spot for gathering with loved ones.
We walked over from a rental place and this brewery was close and had some interesting sounding food. I was blown away by how friendly the staff were. The food is amazing! It seems to be European inspired but has balance of flavor more often seen in Asian cuisine. Anytime I am in Sandpoint I am coming here for great beer and even better food. The staff really make this a five star place, the knowledge and care they have for the people and the excitement they have for the food and drink is amazing.

We came here after a quick google search and reading the positive reviews. Our food was good, the burger with bacon and super good French fries. We also got the Korean bbq bowl, which was fresh and nice after a long day. For drinks we opted for the cider and a fruit sour, both were good, we got a second cider. The inside atmosphere is nice, like a log cabin. The second level is cool too. It was a fun spot :) thanks for having us!

Great Food and Laid-Back Atmosphere — Best for Beer Fans I recently visited Matchwood Brewing Company in Sandpoint for a class reunion. The space is large and versatile, with indoor seating, a covered patio, and picnic tables out on the lawn — great for groups and casual gatherings. It looks like they have a setup for live music, though there wasn’t any playing on the Saturday night we visited, which made the atmosphere quieter than expected for a weekend evening. The food was definitely a highlight — good-sized portions and bold flavors. I had the chicken clucker (?) sandwich, which came with bacon jam and other yummy toppings that worked really well together. Everyone in our group seemed happy with their meals. As for drinks, they offer a solid selection of craft beers and ales, including some berry and wine-inspired brews, plus a few canned options like White Claw — though no liquor or mixed drinks, which is typical for a brewery. The venue itself is more of a modern steel building in a big parking lot, so while it’s not the most scenic or cozy setting in town, it serves its purpose for casual get-togethers and group events. If you’re a beer enthusiast, this is probably your kind of spot. For others, the great food and friendly service still make it worth a visit.

Walked in, went straight to the register where the employee directed me to the paper drink menu and food menu, the menus were pretty used and looked like they had been crumpled and flattened back out..lol but other than that there was a great selection of food, it was a very hard choice! I ended up with the spicy chicken and my friend got tacos. Everything was delicious! My friend drank the cider and I chose the rice lager! Service was amazing, seating outside was beautiful and inviting. No complaints! I will definitely be back!

Evans Brothers Coffee is a family-owned coffee roaster in Sandpoint, Idaho. They are dedicated to sourcing top-quality, sustainably grown coffee beans from around the world and roasting them in small batches. The cafe offers indoor and outdoor seating, making it a popular spot for locals to enjoy their high-standard drip, espresso, and beans.
People don’t lie when they emphasize the atmosphere and presentation at Evans Brothers Coffee. First of all the coffee beans are really good! They roast them in the back. All the seasonal drinks are made with homemade syrups so the coffees come out with a subtle twist not overly sickening sugar rush. The presentations is amazing even for to go drinks. Zucchini bread is out of this world: delicious and moist. What a great experience it was to enjoy our little coffee break with fall colours view!

Laughing Dog Brewing is a local craft brewery located in Ponderay, just a short drive from Sandpoint. Founded in 2005, it offers a variety of high-quality beers and welcomes dogs and kids inside its cozy taproom. While not a full-service restaurant, the brewery provides small bites and occasional on-site food trucks for visitors to enjoy. The warm and friendly atmosphere makes it an ideal place to gather with friends, neighbors, and family.
Enjoyed a great meal at Laughinf Dog Brewery tonight. Enjoyed the Classic Burger with Cheese, but other members of our group enjoyed the lobster and shrimp mac and cheese and chili cheese hot dogs. We all enjoyed the food, but the beers and ciders were fabulous. Dogs are welcome and great atmosphere!

This is a must stop when in N Idaho. Chef and owner is an award winning chef with award winning brews! I love this place. It’s elevated comfort food at its best. Bring your dog! Tour the brewery. Get a Huckleberry Ale, this is huckleberry country. I love the seltzer and the burgers. The Haute Dogs are imaginative and delicious. Most items are grown and made in the Northwest! Well done Dog Pound!

We loved Laughing Dog! It WAS Such a great brewery, excellent beer and excellent staff. Unfortunately the new owners did not run the business to the same standards. As of Sat. March 22, 2025, they are closed until further notice and likely shutting down for good. Terrible news.

This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is warm and inviting. The fireplace was blazing giving it that authentic northwest smell and feel... and every beer is good so far... great Alpha Dog and the Hazy is yummy. Kids are welcome and of course dogs too!

This is a cozy but spacious brewery. Taylor was our friendly beertender. Upon arriving we soon realized that Summit Cider was also available. We settled on doing an 8 flight and a 4 flight that included a pint. Both were $10 each. The ciders ranged from mesium to dry. All good and liked the blue balls berry and the sundance hibiscus out of the ciders. Tried 2 seltzers. The blood orange had the best flavor and the raspberry really didn't show the flavors, only the color. Also tried the huckleberry cream ale which showcased the huckleberry quite well. Last on my flight was the pecan porter. Rich complex and full of nutty pecans. My bf had a flight of IPA's. All were great and full of good hopiness. Will for sure be back when we are in the area.

Great beer and food, and an awesome atmosphere. Loved seeing all the dogs! The staff was so friendly too. I especially enjoyed the huckleberry creme ale. Highly recommend!

Let's dogs in. Had the Bahn Mi, it was great. Partner had some sausage, said it was great. Recommend the Chew Toy Stout. Great sound deadening makes for a comfortable setting. Board games available. Couches by the fireplace. Excellent service.

Great selection of beers. Nice to see there were cider and some seltzer options available as well. We didn’t take advantage of the food but the bites they had available sounded great. Loved the flight of 4 + pint option. So smart! There was a big game room available, which we didn’t check out. Instead we sat on the patio. Loved seeing the pups out there. Lots of spacious seating.

Whether enjoying it as a post-meal treat or indulging on a summer day, Di Luna's offers this delectable delight to satisfy any sweet tooth.
Food was amazing!! 10/10 Service was extremely friendly and somewhat prompt. Restaurant seemed understaffed for the amount of customers they had. 7/10 Atmosphere is pleasant enough. However, sitting at a table in the center of the room can be awkward. Other patrons waiting in line will wind up standing about a foot away from you while you're eating.. 5/10 I'm thankful they accept reservations. We will definitely be returning...but during a less crazy time than late Sunday morning 😅

Unexpected find. Ordered a simple breakfast which is hard to find done well…for some reason. This was excellent on all counts! Fresh and flavorful! And they had vegan food for my daughter! I recommend.

Eclectic combination of a restaurant and gift shop. Eggs Benedict, sourdough toast, and egg scrambles were highlights. Potatoes and hash browns were middle of the road. Lattes and huckleberry mimosas were awesome. Servers were friendly and attentive

The food was good, went for the mother's day brunch. The service was kinda lacking. Drinks had been forgotten and food was a little over priced. But all and all it was not too bad. Also there is a variety of odds and ends for sale in the front.

Delightful diner and giftshop. The food was uh-mazing! The sweet potato hash browns and bacon were delish. The bucket of bubbly with huckleberry and strawberry sauces were the best mimosas! I'll be back, for sure!

My kids loved the cinnamon swirl French toast with fresh fruit. I absolutely enjoyed the Forbidden Rice! Wonderful warm and tangy flavors. Definitely a favorite. Love the small gift shop to parouse through, play with new toys, while we waited for our food.

Wine bar
Barrel 33 in Sandpoint, Idaho offers a delightful experience with wine, beer, and cider tastings complemented by a thoughtfully curated food menu. The venue provides various seating options including high tops and casual couches, making it an ideal spot to enjoy delectable wines with friends. Guests can savor dishes like the perfectly cooked Brie sandwich and flavorful tomato basil soup served in a bread bowl. The owner's personal greeting and accommodating staff add to the welcoming atmosphere.
This was a good place for a quick drink. It was pretty busy and the kitchen only had one oven so patience is key, but while you wait you can enjoy a cold beer, cider or a glass or two of wine. The staff worked very hard to deliver food and drink asap. I would recommend the outdoor seating and the hard ciders.
Brett S — Google review
Very nice atmosphere. Helpful friendly staff. Sophisticated decor. Live music. The problem was the food. I order a soup sampler and some boneless chicken wings. I was expecting maybe a combo of beef, chicken, and veggie stock soups. Instead they tasted like reheated “cream of…” canned soups. And the “boneless wings” seemed more like chicken tenders reheated in an air fryer. Disappointing.
Winston S — Google review
So disappointed since I saw 4.7 rating. The sweet potato fries were MUSH. The meatball sandwich used dried out meatballs. The flatbread was just mozzarella on a piece of flatbread with a few pepperonis added in. Service was very slow waiting for our dried our meatball sandwich for about 30 min. But waitresses were nice. Also we’ve never been to a place that didn’t offer SOFT DRINKS! It was next to the marina but the lake wasn’t in view and the freeway and railroad were next to it. Spent $75 for 2 people on this horrible food. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Kathy C — Google review
We stopped for lunch without knowing the place, and I am glad we did. We were lucky to find a table in the patio overlooking the marina, on a warm summer day it was very pleasant, though also the indoor spots looked pleasant - especially the ones with direct view of the draft beer dispensers with the chalk-written board on top. Food and drinks were very good, service was friendly though a little slow, but we had time and enjoyed our stay in that laid-back and welcoming ambiance.

The Pie Hut in Sandpoint is a popular spot known for its unique and delicious lunch options. Visitors rave about the Huckleberry Monte Cristo, Filipino Tocino, and BBQ pork belly sandwiches, as well as the variety of homemade pies including Banana Cream Split, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Creme Brulee. The restaurant offers great food and friendly service but only accepts cash or check payments.
This is for sure a local favorite. Very busy but we found it to be worth the wait. My mom had a club sandwich she had them remove the middle bread she enjoyed it. I had the French dip and it was good the bread was very soft and fresh. We had clam chowder and we all enjoyed it very much. The 3 of us had combo meals that included a slice of pie, cherry, banana cream, lemon cream. I have to say the lemon was way to tart for my taste I couldn't eat it, but the banana and cherry was amazing. We will return for another meal sometime. FYI, CHECK AND CASH ONLY!!! total bill for us was $45 with tip. Reasonably priced. I was wanting to try their pot pie but they were out. I am thinking get there at 11-12 so they don't run out.

This is such a fun place to eat! My relatives come here all the time and have talked about it so much. I FINALLY was able to go and I was so impressed. Ots not the fanciest place but totally worth it! The food was so good, but the pies....SOOOO DELICIOUS. The Creme Brulee pie was TO DIE FOR! Seriously, it was the best pie I have ever ever had. Next time I will buy a second piece to take home, or better yet, a whole pie! Don't miss your chance!

We stopped in and got a few pieces of pie to go. The coconut is amazing. If you are craving pie you could come here for two weeks twice a day and enjoy a different flavor. Its really hard to choose which one you want, they all look so good.

We are visiting, and made a "quick" stop for a sandwich. The food was delicious, but it didn't make up for the 50 minute wait for our sandwiches. I got the banh mi which was yummy, and my husband got the salmon delight, on a croissant, it was delightful... But when everyone who'd come in before and after us were served (including the last guy who only waited 15 mins for his meal) and we still didn't have food, we were ready to leave without eating. Miraculously our sandwiches appeared in less than a minute when we spoke to the waitress who'd gone by us dozens of times without letting us know they were out of croissants and we're waiting for more to cook, or offering tolet us change our order, or refill our drinks. But what really ticked us off was instead of saying sorry about the wait we were told everyone's order'd gone in about the same time and we hadn't had to wait any longer than anyone else. Low stars for service and atmosphere as the way you interact with customers is part of your atmosphere. And btw they only take cash or checks, which isn't clearly displayed or mentioned when you order, so surprised a few people who had to leave their families to.get get cash to pay for their meal.

Located at one end of downtown Sandpoint, this restaurant offers options for people looking for something a little different in a nice, casual atmosphere. The place is located in an older building and looks classy enough for a fancy evening out. At the same time, it has a casual vibe that will make people at ease if they simply want to enjoy a fun night out on the town. The employees were friendly and attentive. The food had a good variety of options with most of the dishes having an Asian influence. The food tastes great and very fresh. The prices were fair for a restaurant of this kind. Definitely a place I would suggest to anybody visiting Sandpoint.

Only been there once, but it was great food! Service was awesome as well. Adding some pictures of the food. My favorite was the Kung Pao Cauliflower appetizer, but the Chicken Vindaloo was in the runnings. The Naan was honestly the best Naan I've ever had...crispy, soft, tasty. Definitely going to repeat next time we are in town. My wife loved her Chicken Vermicelli Salad and Beet Ball Falafel.

Schweitzer is a mountain resort that offers skiing, tubing, dining, spa services, and kid-friendly activities. Visitors have praised the beautiful terrain and well-maintained slopes but have raised concerns about limited parking capacity. Despite this issue, guests appreciate the lack of long lines for lifts and reasonable prices for food and drinks. The staff is described as generally happy, with manageable lift lines even on crowded days. The resort is also noted for its family-friendly environment and snowboarder-approved learner hill.
Great mountian, 3 ft of powder over 2 days. One of my favorite mountains Tree skiing was excellent, Friendly people, luv the Idaho charm. Firepit at back lodge was great, sausages for lunch. Eat at top lodge another day "excellent food"

SOULLESS CORPORATE SKI MTN Skiing was fun. Mountain felt corporate and soulless. Paid $400/night for a room with a window that leaked so much that ice formed. Good food and vibes at The Outback. Ops employees like lifties, ski school, and ski patrol all super dialed and on point. Too bad Schweitzer went corporate and sold out, used to be cool but now they're generic and bland like the rest.
Alex S — Google review
The experience at Schweitzer was awesome. This mountain was perfect for a beginner to learn. The blues were not too steep. The snow was not so great, the first few days were corn snow slush that got refrozen and then reworked the next day. But WOW the scenery was crazy beautiful. I’ve never skied somewhere with a lake visible. It was awesome views , even on the green slopes haha. The shuttle bus from the bottom of the mountain to the village was a game changer, what a huge asset. So helpful. The crowds were sparse, not long wait times at lifts, were assuming all the locals stayed home because of the snow conditions. Overall, the mountain was awesome. Very beautiful and had a lot to offer, wish we got more time and some fresh snow.. next time!

A summertime MUST DO! We only rode the lift to the top and hiked around, then ate at the restaurant, but can't wait to go back and ride bikes all over! There's also zip lines, horseback rides, and so much more.

We called an hour before arriving with plans to take the tram to the top for lunch. We were told by Karen who had confirmed with her boss Jessica that i would be able to take my service dog on the tram. I unhooked my trailer and left it parked below in a parking lot and drove 20 mins to the top. When i got to the front desk I was told vehemently that no dogs "of any kind" were allowed on the tram. Even got Karen on the phone to talk to the front desk lady Diane only to find out that Karen had been misinformed. wasted almost two hours because they can't train their phone people who are answering questions the correct answers.
Linda S — Google review
Great small town atmosphere with a fairly extensive array of slopes and lifts on a big mountain. Friendly staff makes for a fun day. Most popular slope on front side faces sun so get there early if the snow is deep so you don’t get caught in deep chop and chunks.
Marty C — Google review
Beautiful resort with excellent terrain and lift system. The resort sits at a fairly low elevation and we have had a fair bit of wet weather. Not sure if this is typical. Good skiing and good vibes.
Spencer S — Google review
Oh man, I liked Steamboat a lot, but this might be my new favorite. Not only is there a lot of terrain, it’s also VARIED terrain. The trails are also rated inverse to Sun Valley’s - in other words, trails are easier than they might seem. I never felt like a black diamond was too challenging. Despite now being an Alterra property, the food is a good deal and Cabinet Coffee is a must-have.

We where on our 31 year anniversary getaway to Sandpoint . We were downtown walking and talking to the different shop clerks and my wife brought up The cute theater on the corner they told about it's history and just so happened there was a concert going on that night. It was Ty Herndon which we loved listening to back in the day,so we bought tickets for the balcony. The building is old but welcoming we walked around and looked at it's history . We picked our drinks and went up to our seat ,yes ,seat it was like a love seat. It was well broken in but fun. Loved the show . When we go back we will look into events going on there .

We recently traveled to Sandpoint, ID to see the Gothard Sisters at the Panida Theatre. We loved that there were “loveseats” upstairs in the balcony so we could sit together. We had snacks (popcorn, alcoholic beverages in cans, and canned water.) The show itself was really good, and the theatre for being almost 100 (98 years!) seems to be doing well. The sound wasn’t as great in the balcony as I had hoped, but we still had a great time and were able to see/hear everything.

We went to go see the five shorts that are nominated for Oscars. This is a nice little theater. There are cozy loveseats upstairs but they're too far away from the screen. A solid spot for some neat Anglo-Indian food and great brews! This is always my first stop when I come to Sandpoint. The pub is spacious (though I could see it being cramped in winter if the patio closed), the folks are nice, and the environment is welcoming. The vindaloo chips pair nicely with their lager, but you can't go wrong with the food or beer menu. Grateful for this gem!

Driven by this establishment many times and wanted to try it but never quite made it til this past Sunday. Looked like it was closed as the adjacent parking lot was shut down and empty. Thankfully, parking lot was closed for resealing but Utara was open. Restaurant has a very casual, welcoming feel. You order at a register and your food is brought to you. We sat outside which is not anything spectacular as far as a setting, but the weather was great and we enjoyed the picnic tables. We ordered samosas and pakoras for appetizers. Both were good and had excellent sauces, though they were very small portions. Our main dishes came out quickly. My son had a chicken naan pizza which he gobbled down and I had chicken korma. My korma was good though the chicken was not excellent and a little tough. Food is good, not incredible. Beers and ciders, however, are incredible. We had a tangerine beer which was outstanding as well as a huckleberry cider which was very flavorful, not particularly sweet but not too dry. Both were unusual and outstanding. We took home a 32 oz can of both which I think they can on the spot. Service was friendly and acceptable though you don't get much in the way of traditional service. Overall, a great spot, where a unique combo of good food and superb drinks combined for a really nice experience. Other than the beauty of the City and Winter Ridge Foods, I haven't had a draw to Sandpoint for a while. I think I found it.

Really yummy Indian options. We stopped here on a road trip and really enjoyed our meals. They offer soy curls for the vegan protein and sub pompadas in lieu of naan. You seat yourself and order at the bar. Service was very friendly and helpful.

I liked it, and it certainly is an interesting pairing. They do a respectable job with the Indian fare, and their lite lager (Long Beach) was a great accompaniment to the meal. The menu does offer their take on bar foods, and for the concept, I think it works. Their sauces were good, and that is really the most important aspect. We visit Sandpoint a lot, and would pick this place again...

Very low key place with a nice vibe and good indoor and outdoor seating. We happened to be there on a nice evening so outdoor was great. Beer is good and good variety but what sets the place apart is that it serves delicious Indian food. We visited with the owner and she told us that she'd lived in India and enjoyed the food and wanted to do something different when she opened this place to allow locals some variety and not just standard pub/brewery fare. Such a great find! The beer was outstanding and the food complimented it perfectly. The cozy TV area was such a treat for me and my family. We're sure to rvisit as soon a possible.

We were on a road trip passing through the area and we found this place that’s a brewery that also served Indian curries and thought it was a strange concept initially. But I’m so glad we were curious and checked it out. The beers and kombuchas were delicious and fresh and the curries were seriously impressive! I loved my tikka masala with paneer and a side of pickles and my partner had saag curry with chicken. The naan that came with it was awesome, too. We loved their backyard, too. Positive vibes all around!

Utara has been on my list to check out for quite some time, so I’m glad we finally made it. We started with the curry fries and a few beers and thought we might just keep it at that. After tasting how good the curry was, we kept ordering more dishes. The curry mac was a great combination of flavors and the chicken tikka masala was also a standout dish. All the beers we tried were really good, too. My favorite was the Cannabis Hazy IPA. Love the dog friendly patio!

Park
Travers Park, located on the 1900 block of West Pine Street, is a versatile public park offering an array of recreational facilities. The park features four public tennis courts and serves as the primary location for formal tennis activities in the area. Additionally, visitors can engage in various field sports such as soccer, baseball, softball, and basketball. Walking trails provide opportunities for jogging or leisurely strolls amidst the park's natural surroundings.
Kids love going here. It really helps with their balance and dexterity. They wish there were more swings but overall love the park.
Gidge G — Google review
My family loves this park. The toys are a lot of fun for all ages, there is a great shade canopy over the big toy. Mature trees provide excellent shade for picnic blankets and there are numerous picnic tables in the grass or under the picnic shelter. The extensive sidewalks are so nice for a variety of wheeled vehicles and there is a great dirt pump track next to the play structure. There are bathroom facilities next to the play area, as well as baseball fields, tennis courts, and skate park. Unfortunately I was just informed that instead of adding more play structures and a splash pad as I had recently heard, I have learned that the play area, along with so many beautiful mature trees will be removed so a tennis facility can be built here. The mature trees are one of the biggest reasons we come to this park, as well as the beautiful views of the nearby mountains. I can’t believe the city has approved plans to destroy the attributes of this wonderful area, especially by adding a building to disrupt the views and put our kids out of a wonderful play place. Any additional information is appreciated.

This park is so well thought out. My kids absolutely loved it. Will visit again next time I stay in Sandpoint
RLeigh T — Google review
Hands down this is our favorite playground in the whole Sandpoint area. Our one year old and three year old have a blast while older enjoy the playground too. They have something for every age. The splash pad is dynamic. The swings are a landmark. My kid isn’t old enough to use the skate park, but there’s a wide path around the play area with gentle slopes that are perfect for his toddler scooter. There are benches for parents (bring an umbrella for shade since the trees are just saplings right now and don’t yet cover the benches with their shade.) And my favorite are the bathrooms large enough to fit the whole crew. They are mom-approved.
Phoebe L — Google review
New playground reopened in Spring 2025. Great set up, soft play surface with a separate climbing structure for littles (sign says kids from 2-5) and for bigger kids up to 12 years old. Lots of open space to run around as well.

Nice park with all the amenities: baseball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, skatepark, park, picnic area, grill area, restroom, bmx dirt track. Nice place to enjoy alone or with a large group. Beautiful view of Mt Baldy in the distance.
Jonathan B — Google review
We love this park. Nice playground, shade trees, picnic pavilion. Walking path for waking, running, in-line skating, or the kids' bikes. Skateboard park, tennis, baseball/softball diamonds, soccer fields. Plenty of open space to fly kites. UPDATE 2024--Shaded playground is gone. Picnic shelter that was next to the shaded playground and very popular for birthday parties is gone. The City of Sandpoint decided to erect a gigantic indoor pickleball facility right in the middle of what used to be a beautiful outdoor space.

113 Main is a classy and attractive restaurant in Sandpoint, perfect for special occasions like anniversaries. The place offers generous pours of designer cocktails and comfortable seating with well-spaced tables. The decor exudes an old-school classy vibe, while the food, including steak satay and bison burger, is delicious with unique flavors. The service from staff like Daisy goes beyond standard, making the dining experience fantastic. However, some aspects such as the music could be improved to enhance the overall atmosphere.
Our server, Jake was excellent. We came here for dinner ordering the Steak Satay, duck ragu, and the sea bass. The food was good, you could tell they put their heart and soul into it. The dressing for the steak and the home made pasta were the favorites. The atmosphere was nice; it had a good vibe going on for a happy hour or date night, it was just a little cold 🥶 overall , excellent spot

Interesting place. We had a reservation and were given a high top table. Servers seemed to be confused who was covering the table. Ultimately, it was supposed to be one of the bartenders. Pretty sure they forgot about us completely because it took way too long to get drinks and food ordered. Food arrived quickly but drinks never made it to the table. Finally asked a server walking by to check in on our drinks and she got them. No one checked in on us after that even though we would have ordered another round of drinks. Also wanted dessert. But the service took too long. There were two people at the bar and multiple open tables. We just revisited Sandpoint last week but chose not to eat here.

This was our second visit to 113 Main. I can't say enough good things about our experience tonight. The food was incredible with a depth a flavor that's missing from most restaurants these days. Layers upon layers of delicious flavor in each dish. From the appetizers (we had the focaccia bread and mushrooms) and were blown away by both. The bread was so light and delicious. Pro tip - use the sauce from the mushrooms to dip the bread, you will NOT be disappointed! I had the salsa Verde ribeye and it was cooked EXACTLY how I requested and was served with incredible potatoes and broccolini. We also had the brisket burger and again we're astonished at the complexity of the flavors from the sauce to the chutney and bacon it was absolutely phenomenal.

Amazing drinks. Very tasty and creative. Service was amazing as well. We came in with a big group but our server make sure the drinks keep on flowing and good kept on coming. Duck ragu sauce was great and bread was nice but the fish was not the best. Very fishy that I couldn’t fish.

Vanessa S — Google review
We had the most delicious dinner at 113 Main in downtown Sandpoint and are still raving about it. We were immediately welcomed upon our arrival. The vibe is very upscale, mountain modern yet cozy, which we loved. From the inviting ambiance to the thoughtful, elevated menu, everything about the experience was pristine. We started with the Poached Pear Burrata, which set the tone for the evening—perfectly balanced in flavor and texture, with just the right touch of sweetness and creaminess. It was beautifully plated with the crushed pistachios & micro greens and even more delightful to eat. For mains, our table explored a range of offerings, and every dish was a standout. My husband had the Blackberry King Ora Salmon, which was expertly cooked and accompanied by couscous. My sister-in-law opted for the Shrimp Special and could not stop talking about the sauce—she said it was one of the best she’s ever had. My brother-in-law had the Duck Ragu, which he said was rich, comforting, and layered with deep flavor. As someone with gluten and onion allergies, I was thrilled to find an option that didn’t compromise on taste—the chicken satay with chimichurri sauce was absolutely perfect. The chimichurri added a fresh, herbaceous brightness that made every bite satisfying. It was understandably small, as it was off the starters menu, so my only small regret was not ordering more. It was an exceptional culinary experience for everyone and we will definitely be back very soon. I would be remiss not to mention our incredible server Hayley, who was kind, very knowledgeable and made the night seamless. Oh and the drinks! All I can say is YUM! The mixologists know what they’re doing! I don’t think you can go wrong. 113 Main is a must-visit spot in Sandpoint! We can’t wait to share this find with our family when we are back in April.

The watermelon salad was delicious and we enjoyed our salmon on risotto. Great atmosphere and friendly service. We were visiting from out of town and accidentally left our credit card at the table. Great burritos! Tons of options. Gets busy early so suggest ordering ahead if you are in a hurry. The place has plenty of places to sit and stand. Parking is available everywhere. We ordered from the outside window. Got lunch and breakfast burritos. Large burritos. Medium salsa is delicious. Will definitely go back when we visit next time.

Fast food restaurant
Arby's is a beloved fast-food chain that has carved out a niche for itself with its signature roast beef offerings. Known for serving both hot and cold sandwiches, alongside crispy fries and delightful shakes, Arby’s menu features thinly sliced roast beef topped with warm cheddar sauce or melted Swiss cheese on toasted rolls. The atmosphere is casual, making it perfect for takeout or a quick drive-through meal.
We came in after my children’s dance practice. Everyone was hungry! Addi was working the register. Greeted us with a smile, took our order, convinced us to get a combo, and some mozzarella sticks! (great sales pitch), and was so sweet! It’s rare to have great customer service these days, especially from teenagers! Food came out quick and CORRECT (winning) and everything was delicious especially being “fast food” 5 stars. The amazing customer service will bring us back!

Not a big fast food guy but was impressed. Food was fast and tasty, restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly.

Previously had given 5 stars because of th4 best service ever but today they had some girl working the drive through window at about 6 pm who was extremely rude! I will never go back Here without calling ahead to see who's working. Ridiculous all I asked for was a couple sauces and she said she said she can only give one extra as if it was coming out of her own pocket or something and in which case I would gladly pay extra.
Aj A — Google review
We just went through the drive thru and ordered 6 sandwiches. We requested one Arby’s and horsey’s sauce per sandwich from the young man at the window. He hand us one of each. When we requested more he rolled his eyes and handed us two more of each. Either he could count to 6 or didn’t think we needed what we requested. Customer service was not his priority today.
Stacey W — Google review
Best place on earth for someone who has no teeth. Their beef sandwich is tender enough I can eat it with just my gums (getting dentures soon).
Rhonda S — Google review
It's pretty sad when the sauce packet is larger than a slider that they charged over $2 for. They reduced the slider size and increased the price... pretty sad Arby's.
Diane L — Google review
We came late but they didn't say they won't let you eat in the restaurant until after we placed our order. The young man doing the fries and such seemed to be loading everything 1 fry at a time and finished several other orders at the drive through before even dropping our fries, so then we stood there forever. The other person (allowed to sit in the lobby before we got there) placed an additional order 5 minutes after us and got her order and left well before we got our fries. Then the fry container was only halfway full. So I went back in and the kid just gave me an additional box of fries. Just ridiculous

Highly recommend! You could dine in here or maybe eat outside but this is more of a pick up or delivery. We were coming into town with a large group so I ordered the day before. 8 XL & 3 salads for 22 people not knowing how the sizing went. We had pizza for lunch for a few days and still had some left over. Pizza was great, crust was great .. would definitely order again!

Took absolutely forever to get my food (three slices of pizza). There was 5 people in the front working and only one other customer. They spent more time talking than working on my food. And when I did receive my pizza, I only got two slices and they didn’t add my toppings! I had to ask for them, in which they took my pizza back and I ended up waiting another 5ish minutes. The pizza was ok, but no where near worth that wait.

I go to this Park almost every other day to take my regular evening strolls. I plug in my headphones, crank the volume, and sit and enjoy the sunsets. I enjoy taking pictures of this place, all over. It's where I go to find Zen and think about everything. ~ This is a very therapeutic location. And perfect for kids to play with the swings and payground. Also great for big family gathering with a covered picnic area. If i could give more that 5 starts I'd give it 1000 more. 110% amazing.

Located in the picturesque Lakeview Park, Bonner County Historical Society & Museum offers breathtaking views of Lake Pend Oreille and a range of outdoor activities. The museum is dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of Bonner County residents, boasting a well-organized space with excellent presentations and an impressive collection of over a million artifacts. I'm a sucker for a nice museum. This one is small but has alot of local history and really nice quality displays. Plus it's in a very nice park.
Curt L — Google review
This is an excellent museum to learn about the cultural and geological history of Sandpoint, Bonner County, and the northernmost tip of the Idaho panhandle. Admission is super cheap at $4 for adults so you’ll find no less expensive entertainment anywhere. We’ve become somewhat connoisseurs of local museums and this one is among the best we’ve seen. Even though the space is small, the exhibits are well designed, topically arranged, and easy to read and understand. The collections are pretty extensive as well. I especially appreciate how well they handled some socially & historically challenging parts of human behavior during the time periods covered. Instead of sanitizing and whitewashing how people treated one another, this museum acknowledged our past without shame, blame, or condemnation—it was limited to the statements of events. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Everyone needs to check this out.
Spokaneman — Google review
We really enjoyed our visit to the museum and for a small town this is a top notch place to visit and learn about the area's history and culture. Very nice docents told us about the exhibits, etc when we arrived and then left us alone to wander and enjoy. There is a small admission fee - we got in on the "self-identified" senior rate (we're 60+ so we're legit).

The displays are curated with an eye for beauty. You'll love how everything is set up and it's a treat for the eyes. The docents are friendly and ready to answer any questions. So much information about the area and really cool tidbits.
Melissa W — Google review
Not open on the weekends, which makes it a little more difficult to get to living and working in CDA as it's a bit of a drive and they close at 4. Other than that, the museum is cute and absolutely packed with so many things to see. There are lists of artifacts, who donated them, where they came from, etc near each section, and some things have their own individual labels. The folks working there were really nice and quick to answer any questions you might have. They have a cute little gift shop and the exhibits give pretty comprehensive coverage of the area.

Had such a pleasant visit to the Bonner County Historical Museum. While it is not a big place (no more than a couple of hours needed to see it all) it has excellent exhibits on geology, first peoples, explorers, the influences of the logging, railroad and mining industries as well as lots of information on local families, etc. The welcoming and knowledgeable staff went out of their way to make sure we had all our questions answered and it was enjoyable to peruse the giftshop for books, etc. with an emphasis on local history and culture.

Saw Mt. Joy here back in July 2022 and it’s one of my favorite concerts to date! The view was incredible. I appreciated the shuttle to the location from the local school so parking wasn’t a worry. You could bring in your own food & drinks but they also had a selection of wine and beer to choose from, as well as some food options. I have been watching the emails when new acts are announced each year because I’d love to go back. Please bring back more indie bands like Mt. Joy & The Moss!

We went and saw Jason Marantz perform. It was special for us because I proposed to my wife 12 years earlier when Jason played at the Gorge in George, Wa.. It was a great show. Very nice park facility.

The 2025 Festival was very disorganized and disappointing. With no speaker introducing the bands it’s sometimes difficult to know what band is playing. For example I thought John Butler was playing WITH Dispatch. When he finished, the bandstand was clear for about 45 minutes before Dispatch actually took the stage. Many people left thinking the concert was over. The Finale was also confusing even though there was an introduction speaker. The symphony just started playing music from the program. Then they quit. That turned out to be a warmup, but we didn’t know. The intermission seemed especially long, and the conductor seemed confused and befuddled. I only heard the Star Bangle Banner performed at the Finale. Bring it back to each event. We’re forced to know the performers’ anti-Trump and/or pro Hamas views so why can’t each event begin with our national anthem. This is North Idaho not New York City or Los Angeles.

My first time here, I was very impressed. You can bring your own food and alcoholic beverages which I’d probably suggest. Two white claws and two shots I paid close to 50 bucks with a tip! The venue is wonderful! If you plan on bringing a blanket to sit on be sure to get there early so you can get a good visual of the stage!

Attended the Michael Franti midday concert. Family loved their first festival experience. The festival at Sandpoint does an amazing job of the venue, vibe and for this event, a great job of accommodating families. Loved it and we will be back again!

Great little venue. Make sure you bring a chair and a soft cooler for all your goodies. Went to see Brit Floyd there. Everyone was in good spirits. The food lines weren't bad either if you want some beer or vendor food. Security was respectful. Nice place to spend a summer evening.

As a local and a continued supporter of the festival.. I think it's absurd when bands ie. the first 2 bands of Saturday August 2nd 2025 starts spewing their political beliefs and lecturing us on world affairs 6000 miles away or wherever Instruct your bands to entertain us please.. only Not shove their belief systems down our throats as superior beings needing to teach us morals and or ethics.. they're musicians fgs not scholars Or how about the 5 minute I am gay and here's my problems.. speech like a band earlier in the week.. wth

Families will appreciate the family-friendly atmosphere and live music performances. Visitors can also explore the nearby food court for additional dining options. The market is known for its friendly vendors and fantastic bakery.
Family friendly, packed with local vendors with wonderful organic produce, crafts and ready to eat food. Across the street is a food court. If you are lucky there will be wonderful entertainment.

Wandering through the Sandpoint Farmers Market is like stepping into a cheerful, small-town dream—fresh produce, handmade goods, live music all in a beautiful park. It’s easy to get to, super walkable, and many vendors happily take debit cards 🍅💳 It’s the kind of place where you come for tomatoes and leave with flowers, honey, and a big grin.

Staying next-door at the Cedar Inn, which is right next to this great little farmers market in Sandpoint, Idaho. They had lots of pastries lots of really good big fresh vegetables and fruit, jams and jellies and all kinds of local we made products. They had a tiny little amphitheater where they were doing shows and music throughout the day. Looks like a Saturday market.
Auntie ( — Google review
Lots of local energy here in Sandpoint. The vendors were all friendly and vended some very interesting arts and food stuff.

Love the market. Wednesdays and Saturdays under the trees. Fresh produce, baked goods, and artisans. Usually some kind of live music in the gazebo on Saturday.

It was extremely small. It was the smallest in 8 yrs that I've lived in this area. I hope its bigger in the future I look forward to buying at the farmer's market. I love all the organic produce. I tried the black mushroom brownies for the first time and absolutely loved them.

Super fun to walk around and check out the produce, hand made crafts, and fresh baked items. I brought home a huge bunch of dill, beautiful chard, kale, and beets.

Sandpoint Boat and RV Rentals

Boat rental service
Sandpoint Boat and RV Rentals is a popular choice for those looking to rent boats and gear in the Sandpoint area. They offer a unique pontoon boat with a slide, adding an extra dimension to the boating experience. Customers have praised the professional and friendly service, as well as the ease of check-in. Some have mentioned that it can be difficult to reach someone by phone before arriving at the location.
This was our second time renting from them this year and both were very pleasant experiences. The boat was in great condition and the employee (sorry, forgot his name) was very helpful. He even hooked my phone up via bluetooth to get the tunes going for us! We will definitely rent from them again!
Leah T — Google review
Rented a 23' Sanger wake surf boat over 4th of July weekend, very fair price, great customer service from Tyler, and a nice boat (only 17hrs on it). Good wave on the boat too.
Paolo R — Google review
We rented the Hurricane for a full day, and couldn't have been happier. The boat was clean, and our family of 5 had the best time. All the staff were super friendly! We will be back again.
Sean G — Google review
The boat was staged and ready for us promptly. The check in process took a few minutes, but was relatively painless. I'd suggest showing up 15 min early to get it out of the way rather than loose out on water time. The boat was exactly what we expected and wanted. The family absolutely loved the experience and we would definitely do again. The kids were a bit disappointed that the towable didn't come with a backrest for a seat, they had to lay on their stomachs and hold on. We were told that due to safety concerns, none of the boat rentals provided tubes with seats. They said they have a tendency to become airborne.
Randy C — Google review
Do not bother arriving early. Staff arrived after our start time. Boat worked, was clean, staff was polite. Honored our rental time even though paperwork, inspection, and clearing out unneeded equipment took half an hour. Tube was not 2-person even though that’s what we booked. Also, they weren’t tracking what boat we booked.
Melissa H — Google review
This business is under NEW MANAGEMENT. We had a great experience renting a boat from this company! The staff is helpful, courteous and accommodating. The boat was in great condition and we had a beautiful day on lake! If you’re looking for a boat rental company, I Highly recommend!
Dawn E — Google review
Overall unprofessional and equipment didn't work properly We booked a jet ski last weekend. They said to arrive 30 minutes early, so we arrived at 9:30 for our 10:00 rental. When we arrived, the office was empty because they were helping another customer and they did not meet with us until 9:50. They then went over the paperwork and rules until 10:20. When asking what time we needed to be back, they said 12:00 even though we paid for 2 hours. When we got on the water, we realized that the speedometer screen did not work, so we had no idea how fast we were going. When returning the jet ski, the employee said he would meet us at the gas pump at 11:55. We sat there until 12:00 waiting and someone employed at a different company ended up helping us. We didn't want to be charged extra for being on the water after 12 and the employee that gave us the jet ski was nowhere to be seen. So we drove the jet ski over and tied it off by ourselves. I expected that they may have been busy with another customer, but when we walked into their office, one employee was sitting on the computer and the other employee was TAKING A NAP on the totes in the back of the office...
Shelby V — Google review
I would not use this company! This was a horrible experience. We reserved a pontoon boat months in advance. When we arrived for our rental, we were told the boat would be at the dock in 10 minutes because it was being repaired. 45 minutes of waiting at the dock later, an employee came down and said the boat wasn’t going to be fixed and that we could take a ski boat or nothing. We had several adults and a large dog so the small ski boat ended up being a waste of our time/money. I later spoke with the manager (Michael) . He said someone should have called me weeks beforehand and told me the boat was inoperable because they had been having problems with it for quite a while. I requested a sizable discount on a half day rental (1/2 off a half day rental) He said the owner would only offer a $50 discount toward another rental. The ski boat was dirty inside. The service was terrible. I would use any company but this one if renting a boat in Sandpoint!

Nestled in the delightful town of Sandpoint, Powder Hound Pizza is a must-visit for pizza aficionados. The spot has garnered rave reviews for its exceptional creations, particularly the special pizza brimming with high-quality ingredients. Whether you indulge in the renowned Thors Hammer or opt for the inventive Husky Hawaiian and Spicy Thai duo, each slice promises an explosion of flavors that keeps customers returning for more.
Tried their Bobcat Veggie pizza and made it vegan. This is the most loaded pizza I’ve ever had! A large size should be sufficient for 3 people. The staff was really nice, they have plenary of seating area. The wait time was about 35 minutes on a Sunday afternoon.

One of the first full 5s ive ever given. I love pizza and know a lot about it, and I can tell that these guys know their stuff! They have a fluffy type of dough for their OG crust option and it's spectacular. Portions are generous at a reasonable price. Atmosphere was laid back and the store was clean. Bathrooms were clean too which is always a good sign in my opinion. And they had diapers in there which I've never seen but is cool if you have kiddos coming along. Next time I'm in Sandpoint I'll definitely come back!
Alex G — Google review
The pizza here is definitely pricey, but it’s so worth it! We did try some other items, but they were disappointing. We ordered two types of wings (buffalo and garlic Parmesan), and neither were good. The buffalo didn’t taste like buffalo at all—they told us it was a dry rub, but honestly, it had no flavor. The garlic Parmesan wings were extremely greasy. We also tried a salad, and it was wilted from the overwhelming amount of dressing, which made it unappetizing. Bottom line: the pizza is absolutely amazing, but the rest of the menu doesn’t live up to it. Go for the pizza and skip everything else.
GM R — Google review
I loved the crazy pizza concoctions that Powder Hound has to offer. Your taste buds will greatly appreciate this adventure. You can still purchase the usual like cheese and pepperoni, but I love a BBQ chicken pizza. The restaurant itself has indoor and outdoor seating perfect for groups.

10 out of 10 recommend. Food was great pretty quick service. Cool ski town vibe loved it. They even supplied diapers for a diaper changing station which ive never seen before awesome!

The Thor's hammer pizza is phenomenal! Soft but crispy, perfectly cooked and just delicious! Though the prices are a bit high and the 1 time we ate in the restaurant there weren't many people, but my husbands drink was forgotten, twice. But the pizza has never disappointed!

I got take out, but the place seemed fun. The pizza was really good, I love the crust and the toppings are great quality. The cheesy bread was also really good, however, all three dipping sauces were placed on the bread sticks and then the box was closed so they pressed into the bread sticks.... Kind of an odd situation but not something that would make me not come back. Would recommend.

Cafe
Connie's Cafe & Lounge is a delightful spot that captures the essence of local charm and culinary excellence. Nestled in Sandpoint, Idaho, this cafe serves breakfast all day alongside a diverse lunch and dinner menu. The ambiance is inviting, featuring unique decor like a crew boat light fixture that adds character to the space. While it can get busy—especially during peak hours—the wait for your meal is well worth it.
Awesome lunch with our visiting friends. They said it was some of the best food they’ve had in a while. Great meatball sub, club sandwich & Reuben. The fries were amazing as well. Great quick friendly service.

Cozy, Delicious, and Full of Charm Connie’s Café is a true Sandpoint staple — it’s been around for decades (at least 50 years!) and still serves up that welcoming, homey diner feel, just on a larger scale. We have been here many times when we were kids! So we were super excited to be able to go back! Inside, you’ll find lots of warm wood accents, creating a cozy, rustic atmosphere. Walk toward the back and you’ll discover a saloon-style bar and a large outdoor patio, where they occasionally have live music — we caught a performance on a Friday around 5 PM, and it added such a fun vibe to the evening. We loved it so much, we went twice during our trip! — once for breakfast and again for dinner. Breakfast was hearty and flavorful (having said that the corned beef hash hardly any corned beef :( compared to many other breakfast locations), with all the diner classics done right. Dinner didn’t disappoint either. Whether you’re craving comfort food like meatloaf or chicken fried steak, or just a good burger, they’ve got something for everyone. And yes, you can order drinks from the restaurant side, no need to sit in the saloon. Service was great both visits, but a special shout-out to our dinner waitress who was especially friendly and helpful. We also appreciated being able to use our 10% off coupon for staying at the Cedar Street Inn, which is in the same building — a nice perk! Connie’s Café has that timeless charm and solid menu that makes you want to keep coming back. Highly recommend for breakfast, lunch, or dinner — and I’ll definitely be returning, when I’m back in Sandpoint!

On our way to Sturgis this year and stopped at the classic Connie's cafe. She did not disappoint . Good value, good service and good food . Nothing special but exactly what you should expect from a.diner that is locally operated . I had the traditional corn beef hash and my coffee was constantly full. Thanks you

My wife and I were trying different local spots in Sandpoint while on our honeymoon, we saw the reviews for Connies and thought we'd give it a shot. First thing that struck us as odd is we were seated at around noon but we could only order from the breakfast half of the menu. The food was ok at best, our scrambled eggs were somehow over cooked and rubbery on the outside while being undercooked and a little slimey on the inside, the chicken fried steak barely had any flavor outside of the fry batter, but the waffles and hashbrowns were good. Our service was ok, but we had to flag down staff a few times, once for after our waitress spilled some of my drink and walked off, the other for water refills. Speaking of drinks, my wife was never asked if she would have liked a refill on hers and my Irish coffee was definitely poured with a heavy hand. We stacked out plates and set them to the side as a sign that we were done and ready for a check, but our waitress just kept walking by and acknowledged us, making it feel like we were trapped in an awkward state of mediocre food longer.

Family friendly, chill, laid back, great food, and friendly staff. They have a section that's catered to a more adult ambiance with pool, bar and live music in the back. The front is the family portion if the restaurant.

Great vibes of older style cafe and lounge with classic character. Adrienne knows almost every one who walks in by first name and what they'll order (a level of personable service that keeps them coming back). Delicious french toast platter with high quality pepper bacon and sausage, fresh yellow yoke eggs, my wife had the Belgian platter with the same experience. Bottomless coffee. The other staff all pitching in keeping the tables turning over all morning. Great $ value for 5 star ⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐ quality all the way around.

Outstanding service, fast and quick even if it’s super busy. I got the NW Bacon Tillamook Burger with potato salad and a Bud (listed in orange on the menu) and it lasted an entire 6 minutes on my plate. It’s sizable and delicious. 0 complaints and all compliments to the staff and chef.

Fantastic!! We shared a platter, pulled pork awesome, brisket awesome, burnt end amazing! All the sides were great. Corn bread was the best I've ever had!!! Sorry half the food was gone before the picture.

Let me find the words.. I don't just don't hand out a full 5 star review.. You have to earn it!🤔 The customer service was very warm and welcoming soon as we walked in the door. Wasn't rushed to order and was very polite answering questions. That is rare when you have a young staff but kudos to them! The atmosphere was very relaxing, clean and refreshing! Now on to the food 😋. Ordered plates #1 to try multiple meats and as a very talented smoker myself its hard to impress. 1. The brisket was very moist with flavor! No dryness or need to coat with a sauce. The balance of paper was perfect as to not over power the smoked flavor. 🙌🔥 2. The pulled pork was not as good as there was a slight dryness to it, but the flavor was still very good. 3. The Jalapeño sausage was just perfect! Full of flavor and not so hot to overpower the flavor. 4. The cornbread... don't insult it and add butter. Very moist! 5. Smoked mac and cheese was thick creamy and full of flavor! If you love quality Bar B Que. You have to hit this spot. This is hands down the best hidden secret from Spokane to Missoula!

Food was great; not too sweet and full of flavor! Sides were amazing - especially the Mexican corn and potato salad! Favorite was the brisket. Will be definitely making the trip back up here from Spokane for this place.

Glad to have found a decent Felkers replacement. The brisket and house made sausages are to die for! The beef ribs though were too dry even with sauces and the slaw was too sweet both times we visited. Well worth the price though given the portions!

We eat a lot of BBQ. This was delicious! We got the platter for 2 - brisket, pulled pork and sausage. The spicy sausage was exceptional! I’d eat that again tomorrow. We added 2 pork ribs that were tender and delicious. I highly recommend the Mexi-Q-corn. I’ve had elote before but off the cob it’s kind of next level (better cheese and sauce ratio?). Sorry, no pictures- we ate it too fast

We finally made the trek to Smokesmith Bar-B-Que in Sandpoint ID. The food is beyond delectable. My favorite is a close race between the brisket and ribs. It's perfectly smoked, moist and unbelievably tender. The sides they offer are unique and also delicious. Great slaw, Mac and cheese, and do not miss the tater tot casserole! Corn bread is moist and just sweet enough. Whatever you do, do not miss slathering your choice of meats with Sean's Spicy Carolina sauce. He makes it in house and if it's not on store shelves soon I'll be shocked. The building is super cool, with local and family deco. It has an outside stage with local music and tables to eat at. Great local beer and wine selections and fantastic employees. Sean and Katie Smith have a great thing going. Support this young couple and come hungry to Smokesmith!

Service is fast. All the meat dishes were great. The macaroni and cheese was surprisingly spicy and I didn't see it described as spicy anywhere so that was a disappointing surprise. The German sausage was also quite spicy and generally German sausage isn't. It was spendy but the servings were filling. We took some home but only because a lot of the food was too spicy for those in our party. The brisket and ribs were quite good.

Ordered here while staying over the 4th of July and the brisket was melt in your mouth, my 12 year old daughter ate almost a lb of the ribs to herself! We had the sausage and mac n cheese along with slaw and everything was amazing. Glad we stopped by. Service at the counter was great too with lovely smiles. Ordered online the day before and food was ready exactly when I walked in. Didn’t stay to eat there but there was lots of room. Don’t pass this place up if you love BBQ!

During my recent visit to Burger Express, I was captivated by the inviting atmosphere and charming decor. As a vegetarian, I appreciated their single garden burger option, which turned out to be quite delightful. The service was exceptional; two young servers—who were actually the owner's children—were incredibly friendly and eager to help. To my surprise, they even included a complimentary order of fries with my meal!
Great burger joint. I had their Laura's Cruise burger. Great fresh ingredients, friendly staff, fun decorations and clean environment. Prices were decent and flavor was great. I would recommend for sure.

I just wish I would get what I order... Tonight was the second time I have been recently and my order is wrong! I ordered the Wilson which was advertised a 1/4# patty with mayo lettuce tomatoes and grilled mushrooms and 2 slices of bacon. I subbed onions for mushrooms and got it and found 2 tiny pattys lettuce mayo and onions. My sons bacon cheeseburger had more things on it 😠

I’m Canadian and down here for a visit. I liked the vibe and decor of the place. I’m a vegetarian and they had one choice. I was served by 2 young servers, who turned out to be the children of the owner. Both were so friendly and helpful when I asked them if their garden burger was any good. On top of that, I got back to my place, and found an order of fries thrown in for free. I did not expect that level of customer service. Thank you for serving me and my friends ❤️🙏

REALLY delicious burger, but the fry sauce just didn't hit the mark for me. It had a weird aftertaste. Some people might like it, but not my favorite. Definitely would recommend this place due to the burgers being absolutely amazing 😋
Dawn B — Google review
Great service, although not fast service. The slow service speaks volumes about the FOOD! It's fantastic! Although too much ketchup and mustard on the burgers in my opinion. Decently priced for a more than just fast food joint. We get the bag of burgers and bucket of fries every time. One of the few places that offers fantastic fry sauce. Highly recommended!

Ordered the mushroom swiss burger. Very good taste but very messy dripping through the packaging. A several napkin burger. They were very apologetic because of slow service, usually very slow on Sunday but business was really booming and only had two employees on duty. As we were leaving another employee was coming on after be called in. Employees were very friendly and not condescending when making our order. Music piped in the building and outside was not to my taste and is the only reason I will not return.

Great burgers!! Excellent service!! Would be 5 stars except the last two visits the soft serve ice cream has not been creamy and soft. It's either not mixed correctly or??? Everything on the menu is delicious and never have we had bad service, so don't let the young employees scare you away! This place is an excellent addition to Sandpoint eateries!!

Great views on the trail. Mostly wide, flat walking trail. Good for leashed dogs. The parking lot is hard to find, and is very small. Overall great for getting outside and would recommend to anyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed the trail right on the water. Beautiful views of the lake, and super easy walk. Dogs can be off leash if they're well behaved!

Fun little trail that goes along the lake shore. Lots of park benches, outlook benches, and fun adventures to explore just off the trail. The most fun surprise was the old bridge footings that were exposed due to seasonal low water. We’re excited to come back in the Summer and swim around the footings that will be covered with higher water.

What a beautiful trail. It would be possible to walk from the City Beach Park, but there is a small parking lot at the trailhead. Be bold and take the seemingly private road through the apartment parking lots. Pretty busy at 9 am, but absolutely beautiful with the lake views and fall colors.

It was a beautiful walk. Quiet for the most part. Everyone we met on our walk were nice. The view is spectacular! The mountains are in full view for most of the walk. The abandoned pier blocks are a nice touch.

Idaho Pour Authority

Bar
Idaho Pour Authority is a must-visit spot in Sandpoint, Idaho, offering a fantastic selection of beers on tap and in the cooler. The place is known for its wide variety of rotating taps and knowledgeable staff who can provide great beer suggestions. Visitors can also purchase their favorite beers to take home or enjoy them at the venue. Despite the absence of televisions, many patrons appreciate the relaxing atmosphere without any distractions.
This is one of my favorite places on earth. Well curated selection of beer and cider on draft, quality wine selections, and a massive cooler with hundreds of cans/bottles. They also have non-alcohol options. The staff/owners are friendly, warm, and knowledgeable. Had to give 3 stars for food, as it's a tap-room/bottle shop, not really a food establishment. However, they welcome you bringing food in your own food. The live music is amazing!!! See you there.
Sean B — Google review
No food really but the service and the atmosphere is great! Staff is beyond friendly and so knowledgeable and fun! Stop here for a few beers, ciders, coolers and take some home! So fun!!! Rotating tap that has a bit of everything.
Jeff K — Google review
Great live music, local kid made good! Travis Ward of Hillfolk Noir. Many kinds of beer and wine. Also, cbd sparkling water.
Super A — Google review
Instead of food this place pours all kinds of beers and seltzers and ciders. The people that work there are very knowledgeable about what they are serving in a service is pretty quick except for happy socializing and camaraderie amongst all the people in the staff. No one minds waiting a few minutes and joining in on a conversation about beer. The guy who does the Monday night trivia is absolutely fantastic and a lot of fun. It gets crowded on Mondays so get there early to get a table.
Karen M — Google review
First time here and not my last! Trivia was happening on a Monday and the beer was flowing! Definitely check it out!
Matt G — Google review
If you like beer, and you love great people. This is your spot. One of the owners spent time chatting with us, explaining beers, and just genuinely creating a great conversation. Hit this place up, if you need a beer now, or need something to take home.
Todd L — Google review
Great draft beer and to-go selection. Clean and relaxed atmosphere, I will definitely come back again.
Sean F — Google review
Really cool place with good selection of beers on tap and a better selection of beers in the cooler that you can buy and take with you or drink there. I am a huge sports fan and there are no televisions in there, however I actually enjoyed that. Just being able to relax without noise was awesome,

Pend d'Oreille Winery Tasting Room in Sandpoint, Idaho offers a delightful winery tour and tasting experience. The winery is renowned for its handcrafted wines made from locally grown grapes, with a focus on grape cultivation and the entire winemaking process. Their award-winning wines include Reserve Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah sourced from the Northwest. The on-site Fat Pig restaurant serves a meat-centric menu featuring duck tacos and gourmet burgers.
My mom, sister, and I had a wonderful and amazing experience. The customer service is awesome. The hostess, Laura, was absolutely perfect, and the recommendations she made were great. The food was amazing. The smoked salmon spread with pickled onions was really good and very elegant and savory. The shrimp cakes and sauce were delicious and had an amazing texture and flavor. The Apple backon pizza was so full of flavor, and the Margarita pizza was so comforting and yummy. The ambiance and lighting were beautiful. It's absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a memorable experience. I am definitely going to come back every chance I can. I HIGHLY recommend the Pend d'Oreille Winery Tasting Room. And they have the cleanest bathrooms. This place is a must experience, experience!

We love this place. Great wine, great food and great service. We love sitting outside on the patio but the inside is also really nice. Try the smoked salmon board. They smoke the salmon locally and it is…..chef’s kiss! We come back here every time we’re in town and often times we’ll grab a bottle for the road. Best wine in Sandpoint!
Don C — Google review
My wife and I are new to wine, and we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction than our visit to Pend d’Oreille Winery. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and helpful service. Nicole, our server, was absolutely fantastic. She went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable experience, and helped guide us through the wine tasting. The wines were fantastic, and the food was equally impressive. We had the smoked salmon spread, and the Bella pesto pizza. Both were absolutely fantastic and added to the overall great experience. We also took home a bottle of the L’Oeuvre, and can’t wait to enjoy again. The setting of the winery was amazing, cozy, and comfortable, with a lovely ambiance. Although we had to leave shortly before the live music started, we’re definitely looking forward to coming back to experience it next time. We’re already planning our next visit and highly recommend Pend d’Oreille Winery to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable time!
Nicholas G — Google review
The five wine tasting is an easy five stars. These wines are so good, I feel tempted to buy a bottle. But until I can afford it, those five shots provide a taste of the good life. Afterwards, we strolled down the corridor to the Ross Hall collection and exposed ourselves to art. Quality still counts in this world.
David P — Google review
Awesome place for a sip of wine or to listen to music. Friendly service. Neighborhood feel. Fun vibe.
Virginia H — Google review
5 stars for the atmosphere, the tasting room is very cozy and welcoming. The staff was also very kind. The wine was good, but I would not say it was my favorite. I really liked the whites I tried, but I think their reds were on the sweet side. I would probably not return, but I am glad I gave them a try.

Awesome atmosphere! There was live music tonight and we had a great time. Got some Moose Drool beer, a pizza and some soup. Great food, good company, and a great place to be.

Art gallery
The Pend Oreille Arts Council (POAC) is a cornerstone of Sandpoint's cultural landscape, offering a diverse array of events and exhibitions that celebrate local and regional artists. One of its standout attractions is the annual Arts & Crafts Fair, which features over 100 talented artisans. The council also provides an enriching educational experience with classes catering to various art forms and cultures for both adults and children. Additionally, it operates a gallery and studio that has garnered praise for its offerings.
This is a rediscovered post-pandemic treasure. A myriad of of art and music classes animate this 1910 architectural beauty in the center of town on Main Street. The classes are small and run by accomplished professionals who love to teach. I highly recommend visiting the building for it’s wonders inside and out.

Beautiful art pieces. Wonderful staff. Classes for all different types of art, crafts, and cultures. They are responsible for the Annual Art Fair, the Art Walk, various exhibitions at the Panida. The list goes on and on!! So happy to live in a town where POAC is available to, not only adults, but children as well!

Marina
Sandpoint Marina is conveniently located between City Beach Park and the city-owned Windbag Marina. Both marinas provide boating supplies and docking services during the summer months. Additionally, Lake Pend Oreille Cruises, situated on the southwest side of the park, offers guided cruises from spring through fall. Visitors can easily access City Beach and downtown from this prime location without having to remove their boats for refueling or other services.
The experience was great. From renting a boat to eating, I was very happy.

This was a great place with a lot of Boutiques and shopping. Closes down early though. Streets roll up by 6 pm. Many places close at 5. Added pictures from an Art gallery that I would love to shop.

They dont accept Canadian credit cards for boat gas purchase - cash only . and are about 1.50 more per gallon than anywhere else on lake .

Good location to city beach and you don't have to pull your boat out to get fuel

Nice marina with a wannabe monopoly on boat rentals that will get needlessly hostile towards anyone who might even consider charging your twice removed uncle $20 to take your boat out for the day.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Sandpoint, Jalapeños Mexican Restaurant welcomes you with a vibrant dining space adorned with Central American decor that instantly lifts your spirits. As you step through the double doors, you'll be greeted by friendly staff who treat every guest like family. The restaurant features a charming fish tank housing a local legend named Mango and boasts a bar where Bing Crosby once enjoyed his drinks.
The atmosphere here was so nice ,beautifully decorated inside. The food was so hot and fresh the portions are huge ! You definitely get your moneys worth !

Great spot in town for some Tex Mex. They allow dogs on the patio area. Which is mostly covered. They have a fish tank and waterfall inside with some fun tropical themes. The food and service was well worth the price.
Alex N — Google review
OUTSTANDING! Everything 5 star from the first person to greet us to the waitress who served us to the generous proportions of delicious authentic food. We have eaten in many Mexican restaurants. This one leaves them all in the dust.
Sheree Z — Google review
The carne asada was so covered with pepper and dry I wouldn’t feed it to my dog! And my wife’s fish taco literally made me vomit. Worst birthday dinner I’ve ever had, what a waist of time and money! Literally the worst Mexican food that I’ve ever had in my entire life. They should be ashamed to call themselves Mexican food. But our waitress was awesome, hopefully she can find a better establishment to work for!
Jesse H — Google review
This restaurant absolutely angers me to no end. I had a DoorDash or come to my home and inform me that they want you to have bags to keep the food hot well instead of giving the DoorDash or my food they didn’t let the DoorDash or leave with my food and my food when I got it was ice cold. I think you guys need to check your policy because that is just absolutely pathetic and when I order 50 $60 in food And I get crap service like this makes me not wanna come back if I could give zero stars I would on top of that the lady who answered the phone was absolutely disrespectful so yeah, will not be coming back here. And just to let everybody know this isn’t the first time I heard that they don’t let Dashers leave if there’s no bags it’s pathetic. It really is so if you’re gonna dash from this place, just understand that you might get your food cold.
David L — Google review
We picked up food for 15 to take on a 3 hour cruise on the lake. We got beef fajitas and chicken enchiladas with rice and beans, chips and salsa and all the fajita fixings. The packing made it very easy to serve on the boat. (We chartered the whole boat for just our group and did not fill it to capacity so we had plenty of room to serve food.) The food stayed warm (the air temperature was in the 90's, so that helped) The food was excellent! Jalapenos is only 2 blocks from the beach where we got on our boat, so it could not have been more convenient.
Joni E — Google review
The best salsa! Chips and salsa free with purchase. The food is kinda pricey for what you get, but good service and nice atmosphere. Bar and dining room seating. Closed some weekdays, so check before you go in.

New American restaurant
Baxters on Cedar is a cozy tavern with rustic brick walls, offering a wide selection of craft beer on tap and a diverse comfort-food menu. To complement their delicious offerings, they also have a great wine list and outdoor seating. If you're in the mood for shopping, make sure to visit the nearby District Boutique and Bistro at Saw Something Shiny, where you can sip on drinks and enjoy tasty food while browsing through their selection.
Very nice server. Loved they even have water outside for your pup - sure indicator of my kind of place. Zeke loved his burger too!
John K — Google review
Really great restaurant. The waitress was excellent, super friendly and knowledgeable. Their menu was high end American bar fare but wasn't boring/typical that I see so many places. All of the dishes had really great personal touches that we both agreed really elevated it and made for a great meal. Really like that there were chicken and vegetarian substitutions for a lot of the burgers(even though neither of us are vegetarian). There was a nice vibe of everyone that came in seemed to know someone else there either a patron or worker, and they had some really chill local live jazz that was perfect for the space.
Evan G — Google review
Excellent original dishes. I ordered an appetizer and steak. Took one star off of food rating because it came well when I asked for medium rare. But they were quick to correct it and it was very good. I was dining by myself, and I asked to be by the window. The place was clean and organized. The bathroom was also clean. My beer had a good head and was a good temperature. Overall, I enjoyed my solo dinner.
K R — Google review
Had the prime rib with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Service was excellent: prompt and very friendly. However I was disappointed in the quality of the meat, which was not very tender and contained a lot of gristle. I noticed other reviews which rate the prime rib very highly, which makes me wonder if the quality of available meat has declined in the last few months. Because mine was just not very good. Also, although the atmosphere and ambience was pleasant, it was too warm with no AC. Not sure if they have AC or not, but if they don’t I would not eat here in the middle of the summer.
Connie K — Google review
The meatloaf was terrible! It had the consistency of liver…very dry! The mash potatoes were like glue. I’m a connoisseur of both and have never had this experience before. The bread and broccoli were great! The dessert was terrible. The waitress was great! The atmosphere was nice, but cobwebs and flies made it less than appealing! I think we’ll stick to what we know is excellent and go to The Hydra next time. Baxter is also pricey!
Teri D — Google review
Do NOT substitute for the chicken! The piece of grilled chicken in our sandwiches was tough, chewy, and flavorless with no seasoning. Very disappointing! Decor is rustic and service is friendly. Next time we will just go for dessert as the key lime pie is very good.
Brenda J — Google review
This downtown Sandpoint establishment is highly recommended for lunch or dinner, particularly with a group of friends. As an infrequent diner, I ensure that when I do venture out, this venue is always on my list . During my most recent visit, I opted for the tacos, sampling all three varieties - beef, pork, and chicken. Our total expenditure was slightly higher due to the addition of beverages.

The Barroom & Eatery at The Bank in Ponderay, known as Sweet Lou's, recently expanded its offerings with a full bar and an expanded menu that now includes mussels. Customers have been delighted by the exceptional dining experience, praising the delicious and well-prepared food. The sharable format allows guests to sample various entrees, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. The friendly and accommodating wait staff provide helpful information about the menu and suggest cocktails to enhance the dining experience.
Where to begin. This was the best meal we had in Sandpoint as well as on our vacation. Please let me tell you why. Food, let’s start with the stars of the show - the espresso martini (tasted like a melted milkshake 😍) and the Crème brûlée. Wow so worth getting the dessert. The entree we got included the steak as well as the special of the night , a gnocchi with pea puree, all of it was so good - each bite better than the last. we also got the Brussels sprouts as a starter and they were absolutely on point. We didn’t leave anything behind on the plate and were still talking about the food. The server was busy, but gave us plenty of attention and was very kind. The atmosphere was very aesthetic and cute. The outside was also very cute. If I was closer I’d go here again. Next time we’re in town for sure!

Located near the river downtown Sandpoint ID in the historic district. This unique eatery is situated in a former bank building. Quaint cozy setting with an outdoor seating option in good weather. Very attentive hostess who was very knowledgeable about the menu options. I had the fish & chips dish — very tasty. My wife ordered the smash burger which I tasted and we both agreed was very good. We each ordered a refreshing cocktail style lemonade. A Quick Look at the menu tells you they place a lot of thought into the individual offerings. The modest size of the dining areas suggest that reservations are recommended during peak dining hours and special events downtown.

We discovered The Bank: Barroom & Eatery on our summer vacation in Sandpoint and were blown away! The service was so amazing our first night (shoutout to the energetic, Emma who made us feel right at home) that we came back the very next night just for cocktails—and we’re so glad we did! Bradley and Anna behind the bar were an absolute dream team—funny, personable, and full of great tips on everything from local hot spots to travel and life. The cocktails and mocktails were perfectly crafted, and the frites were next-level delicious. As self-proclaimed foodies, we can confidently say every bite was to die for. The atmosphere, staff, and food are all unforgettable. This spot has officially made its way onto our annual Sandpoint itinerary. If you’re visiting——go eat here.

We had such a great meal at The Bank! Note that dishes are served family style so they come out as they are ready. This made for a really nice, relaxing evening. We sat out on the patio which was shaded and beautiful. We also appreciated their selection of non-alcoholic cocktails. Highly recommend!!
