Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort is a vibrant destination offering comfortable accommodations, various dining options, live entertainment, and a relaxing spa. Located in Mt. Pleasant, it provides an array of entertainment, shopping, dining, and outdoor activities throughout the year. The resort features friendly staff and convenient amenities such as mobile check-in. Guests can enjoy a wide selection of slot machines and table games while earning points and comps with a player's card for use in the casino's outlets.
The wife and I had such a great time coming to the soaring eagle casino for our 5th anniversary! She really wanted the casino experience and we got it! We had so much fun and she got her pool time and a massage all in one spot! I felt like the greatest husband ever after booking this place and staying two nights. We will definitely be back and I would encourage anyone who wants the casino experience to try this place. So many awesome food options also! We ate like royalty played and swam like kids and had a great anniversary. Thanks soaring eagle!

The outdoor venue was ok. The seats felt cheap and wobbly. The floor isnt slanted, or if it is, very slightly. This means it is harder for everyone to see. The sound system was bassy and sounded quite good. The cost of concessions was well priced for a venue. The parking was good because of how many different parking areas they have there. Overall we probably wont be back unless it is someone we really want to see. Good seating is really important and I shouldn't have wished I got lawn instead of floor.

It's a good venue for gambling and staying but also for outdoor concerts. Always clean. Close enough to town if you want to do other things and there are other attractions nearby. The restaurants and bars within the casino are surprisingly good with good food drinks and fair prices. Easy travel on a main road. I recommend.

Here it is October 27 9:32 PM I am at soaring Eagle Casino resort. Apparently they’re under new management. As of right now, they have pulled all the ATM machines off the floor and you have no way of getting money. We have to go to the casino cage and pay a credit card transaction fee of 7 1/2% or more. I have never heard anything more ridiculous in my life.
Cindy C — Google review
First off, let me get the crap out of the way... check in guy didn't let us know squat. Luckily my husband heard the girl checking in a guest next to us so he had a clue as to what was where, etc. I also counted how many people I had with me and he still charged me for one extra band. Rooms are OKAY and we got a suite. You can apparently only use one TV at a time which is deceiving. Our shower drain was backed up, the bunk bed was EXTREMELY wobbly and squeaking- needs to be tightened. There was tape from a prior birthday party still hanging on the walls in multiple spots. And the thing that set me up to even leave this review was the RUDE waterpark staff. I understand the job can be alot, but dont take your frustration out on me or my kids. I simply picked up a slightly deflated tube because there wasnt any free ones, this lifeguard just yells at me a says I cant do that, DONT DO THAT DONT! I said what? She said PUT IT DOWN YOU CANT INFLATE IT! Mam... OK. That is fine. But, there are ways to speak to people to get your point across. It was immediately defeating. I was just trying to get a tube for my kid and her friend. I like how it is decorated for Halloween and the magician was cool. I wish I had better things to say about this experience but it has been disappointing- so it pretty difficult finding any positives.

Overall, we had a good time, but the service in the restaurant was very slow both in the evening and for breakfast. The food was OK, at least for dinner. The breakfast was, meh... I ordered poached eggs and received scrambled, but given it took them over an hour to process our order, I wasn't going to try to fix that. We didn't really taste our breakfast food, as we had to wolf it down to meet their strict 11:00 Check-out Time. We were running late because breakfast service was so slow. An hour after they had taken our order, we still didn't have our food. When I asked the front desk if we could have a little extra time, because we didn't have our food yet, I was told - Nope. So, when we finally got our food, we had to wolf it down, so we could run back to our rooms and grab our stuff before they disabled the keys. Whew - made it just in time!

What a beautiful place. Our room had a fireplace and the bathroom was awesome. The bed so comfy, and the view of the waterfalls was awesome. I will definitely be going back another concert

This is a top notch casino. The outside looks so stunning. I was amazed on how eye catching it is. The staff was very friendly. Watched a concert as well and was terrific. Definitely will go back again.

Not crowded on a Saturday night as the main casino floor is across the street. Plenty of parking. If you desire a beverage it is hard to get, whether a soda or liquor. Only one floor attendant noted. The restaurant offers a good variety of food choices, especially for grab and go. The line can be extremely long with just one cashier. Restaurant staff is very friendly. Plenty of seating if you wish to dine in. Restrooms are well maintained. There is a shuttle bus that circles frequently if you wish to go over to the main Casino. Also noted was the RV parking lot next door.

Love Soaring Eagle. Went to the 44 year anniversary bingo. Didn't win anything 😕 but still enjoyed myself. Was lucky playing slots. Would I go back again. Absolutely 💯.

Umm. I guess if u want the dollar general version of a casino, this is your place. It's not loud like a big casino. It's really kinda depressing because it's a lot old people in wheel chairs and rascals. They do have a lot of nice slot machines. But yeah it's a little drab. The security doesn't even care who walks in the door. They didn't even notice us walking in.
Blixx — Google review
Who knows? Food service is the worst and slowest anywhere I've been in the world. Truth! The gambling is gambling. Rooms are nice, good selection of slots, services and gambling. I believe is mainly the service...employees seem unhappy and inconvenienced? So I guess the atmosphere is dead and has lost its appeal.
Ryan O — Google review
Such a sad place. It's depressing vibe and old feel make it feel like this should be your last resort. They only had a couple of employees, and they were rude. Nothing fun or exciting about this place at all. Many old machines, etc.
Jason R — Google review
I enjoy coming to Soaring Eagle, but lately we haven't won anything in over a year. Which is incredible to think about since we go often.
Diego P — Google review
I loved it here. Smaller and more quiet than the main casino. Could be because it was not bingo night but still. Ordered from the Little Eagle Cafe. The staff was super friendly and even brought our food out to the table for us. We won about $300 in less than one hour and the guy next to me won $318 in the first 10 minutes of him sitting down. I'll definitely be back!

Legends Diner is a popular spot with a pleasant atmosphere and excellent hospitality. The suites are highly recommended, although getting the Jacuzzi room might be a challenge due to its popularity. The restaurant has a fun 50s vibe complete with a jukebox, making it an enjoyable place to dine. It offers reasonably priced, fast, and excellent diner-style food. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient, ensuring that everything comes out quickly.
This IS the place to eat on the grounds.... reasonably priced....fast....excellent diner style food....waitresses are pleasant and helpful... no complaints.... A+++

We went in today for a late lunch, and our server, Bobbi, wasn’t super welcoming, just very short with us. That was fine at first, we were looking forward to having a nice meal. After around 30-40 minutes after ordering our food finally came. We had gotten the Legendary breakfast and the chicken and sea food platter. the seafood platter was fine. The breakfast was cold, and must have been in the window for awhile. When bringing this up with the server, our server was rude, and got loud and wasn’t very understanding. We then asked for a manager. Emily was the manager that worked with us today, and she was worse than the server. She asked if we wanted it refired and we said no, as it had already been an hour since arriving, but decided on having it remade togo. she took away the food, and then refused to make it again togo, and told us we would have to pay full price. we totally understand that it can be frustrating, we are both mangers at our restaurant’s, but she had not a single ounce of sympathy. She said she’d have to ask the chef. after about another 30 minutes she comes over and slams the togo order on our table and walks away. we then tried to get her attention and asked if it would be on the bill and she very rudely said no while walking away again. Overall, this would be the last place i would out to eat at soaring eagle. It’s not worth being on the waitlist for however long, to then deal with snotty workers or subpar food. Spend a little bit more money and check out the chop house!

Tried out this moderately priced diner in the casino. I had the taco salad and it was ok. I probably wouldn't order it again. The food was presented attractively on the plates. Friends enjoyed their food: club sandwich, chicken quesadillas and an omelet. May or may not go there again. The server did a good job and was pleasant.

We ate here for lunch before heading out. Server was friendly and everything came out quickly. It's typical diner food, similar to that of a Big Boy.

You will wait for at least a half hour to an hour to be seated, which is no problem there's plenty to do. They give you a pager when your table is ready. On to our experience. It seemed to be a busy day, which is good for the waiters and waitresses. I hope everyone tips their waiters, regardless of how the food is, they didn't cook it, they only brought it. We ordered the wet burrito and the breakfast 2 For (2 eggs and 2 potatoes, meat and a bread). I would not recommend ordering the burrito. The breakfast was ok. Next time we'll probably go out to dinner elsewhere, unfortunately.
Karen O — Google review
We were seated right away there can be a wait especially on the weekends our burrito was excellent and we couldn't finish the giant banana split the restaurant has a fun 50s vibe complete with a juke box

My family of 4 an I got there and was seated in a timely manner, our waitress came pretty fast to get our drink orders but was slow at getting our food orders. We waited for 25min if not longer for our food to arrive, a burger with fries, chicken tenders, and a chef salad with grilled chicken. No asking for refills on our drinks, waters an an ice tea( which the water was horrible an the non sweet tea tasted uncannily sweet) no contact with the waitress whatsoever until our food arrives. When it comes, the tenders were overcooked an dry as was the bacon on my boyfriend's burger. My salad didn't come with the dressing I asked for so I had to wait another 5min for that to come. As soon as I went to pour the dressing on, I found a hair in my salad that was not mine nor anyone at the table. I ask for a new chef salad with grilled chicken. Shouldnt take that long, right? My family and I had to wait another 30min for my salad, which I never got because they took so long to make me a new one that my kids and boyfriend were already done with their food. Btw, we never gotten a single refill on our drinks that whole time. At least they were nice enough to take the salad off my bill.. that I didnt even get to eat. So thanks Legends, for having me sit there watching other people eat food, while I had to wait for a salad I never got. Horrible service.

By far one of the best dinner's I've been to. The quality of the food was amazing the burger was juicy and seasoned perfect the fries had a decent crisp, and the quantity for the price was good. The battered mushrooms were out of this world. I'd gladly come back to eat here anytime.keep it guys you are doing great!

Down-to-earth hotel offering a restaurant, a pool & a play area, plus water park access.
Took my grandsons yesterday (Tuesday) requested early check in 👍 We were in our room by 12:30pm Water park was well staffed, very impressive everyone was very nice and helpful. The guys on the surf board area took the time with each kid that wanted help♥️ Rooms very clean♥️ Restaurant food was very good, probably the best club sandwich ever. My grandson’s said the fries were so good! Definitely coming back 😎 (it was our first time)

Room was a great value. I will say the staff wasn’t great. While checking in a staff member was loudly complaining about a customer in the back. While the staff checking me in didn’t really say anything. It was speedy to check in. The room was super cute and very clean. The water park was great for my two children (9,12). Although the rock wall was closed while we were there. It was still fun. Food court food was not anything to look forward to. But wasn’t awful for the price. The small arcade had was a hit with the kids offering newer games.

I truly wish I could give Soaring Eagle a higher rating, as my stay started off well and the staff even gave me a discounted room rate, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, my experience ended in one of the most frustrating hotel stays I’ve ever had. On checkout day, I paid to extend my room (212) until 2 PM. When I returned around 1:25 PM, I found my room had already been cleared out. My belongings were bagged and left at the front desk, food items were thrown away, and $150 cash from my room was missing. I spoke with Emily at the front desk, who was professional and understanding, and she refunded one of the charges. However, when escalated to a manager, I was met with interruptions, blame-shifting, and zero accountability. Since then, the police have even contacted me regarding the matter, but I declined to press charges because I expected the hotel to resolve this internally with integrity. Instead, Soaring Eagle has repeatedly failed to follow up or provide any real resolution, forcing me to chase answers that should have come from them. What started as a pleasant stay ended with a complete loss of trust. Based on how this situation was mishandled, I cannot recommend Soaring Eagle, and I will not be returning.
Anton P — Google review
Overall the stay was Enjoyable. Our kids had a good time, although it was limited due to the height requirements on water slides, rock wall etc. These things are advertised as " kid friendly" ~ but in reality ages 8- up. We have 2 small children 4,6 , they stayed in the pool most of the time because of the height restrictions, if that be the case , I would have liked the option to go to soaring eagle pool as a option. The other pool on location , is very dated, the jacuzzi didn't seem to work, staff used that back entrance as a private walk through area, not enjoyable when trying to swim. The arcade was decent, but we spent 60.00 in games,no prizes at that location so I took my kids to soaring eagle to the other arcade, we were able to get prizes for the other 60.00 we spent at that location. The fire pit at night was only turned on by request and promptly shut off by 11. " I would suggest leaving it on ? " Perhaps get a cover for it if worried about " wind" being a issue. The Hotel staff was great, accommodating, we provided something to eat each night for the midnight shift, it would have been nice to have some option for food at the hotel after hours. It's our intention next time to stay at soaring eagle, and to buy day passes to the water park if we decide to go. Over all for 475.00 for the room 160.00 in games we played at arcade a extra 200.00 we spent for food in 2 days. It would be hard to justify going to this location again based on a cost average of 400 a night. If I could make a recommendation, have some food available, breakfast, light night snacks ? Cookies ? And adjust the arcade so you can receive the same prizes at the gift shop. " Which was closed most of the time during our stay".

When I booked I thought this hotel was at the same location as the casino. I was wrong, but their shuttle took me to the correct location, a mile down the road. expected to hear children and have a chaotic environment, but that was not the case. Peaceful time, quiet room, great service. Tickets for the waterpark came with the room, I didn’t use them, but, what a perk when you’re traveling with kids. The park looks very fun! The shuttle service is amazing, the driver’s are a wealth of knowledge and great people!

Overall old outdated boring hotel and needs to be revamped and remodeled. Used to be a Holiday and back in the day apparently, and you can tell 100%.. no ambiance whatsoever. Charged my $50 deposit twice. Had to wait days to get $100 back to my card. Greeted warmly and attentively when I arrived. Waterpark was OK but very small, thought it would be nicer and bigger and more to do in it… As soon as we walked in, our first thought was this is it? The pictures and the hype on the Internet Make it look much better than what it is. Guy at the surf ride was Awesome, friendly and helpful to all the kids tho…he definitely was a gem. Do bring your own towels, they don’t provide them there at the waterpark. Water slides in the corner were awesome too. Pool small and arcade was really nothing to it. . Spent $324 for a room for one night for my son’s 18th birthday. Which I feel was very high for what we received, then on top of it, we found a dead mouse by the refrigerator on the floor. My husband and I wanted to leave immediately, but we did not leave because we had already decorated the room with balloons and streamers already for my son’s 18 bday. I didn’t want the inconvenience of taking all the decorations down and moving to another hotel, and my son had two friends coming. We did not notice this until after we decorated because we weren’t looking at the floor by the refrigerator and we wanted to hurry up and put the decorations up before the boys arrived. But we did notice it within a half a hour As we were putting food in the refrigerator. The manager gave us $95 in credit for the inconvenience. I feel it should’ve been more because we were all completely turned off by that. And frankly, I didn’t even want to go in the room after that, let alone sleep or eat. Needless to say, none of us took off our shoes.. Until we went to sleep. The maintenance guy came with a bag and scooped it up and left. No disinfectant no cleaning, nothing. I feel if you really cleaned the room to the hotel specifications (Debbie on the clean card), How do you miss a dead mouse on the floor? The lady at the counter informed me that she loved mice, Like ‘what’s the problem’ attitude. Just gross. The thought of a mouse (or mice) crawling around the floor, our beds (or in them) on the counters etc. was enough for me to count the minutes to our departure. Had a sliding glass door facing the woods, might’ve been left open not sure it was locked when we got there. We were told that’s never happened before, And they couldn’t understand how it got in there… Thank God, we spent most of our time at the hotel gambling! Shuttle bus is very convenient, but we only used it twice. We drove ourselves.

Perfect spot. The retreat is like a 1 bedroom apartment. Very spacious. Has a balcony with a table and chairs. Kitchen, dining room, living room area. 1 bathroom and 1 bedroom with 2 queen beds. Would def stay here again. And very clean!

Wouldn’t let my daughter on some of the attractions in the water park because she was to short. When I was standing there watching her at the rock wall the life guard had no problem allowing her to participate but once I walked away she got kicked out. I also stayed here as they were running a special with the kids eating free. It was explained to me at check in a totally different way at check out. I think the front desk staff need to be trained the same, and all on the same page. The rooms were very clean as was the rest of the hotel.

Department store
Kohl's is a fantastic chain department store that offers an extensive range of clothing, accessories, and homewares. If you're looking to return items purchased on Amazon, you can conveniently drop them off at Kohl's locations like the one in Mt. Pleasant. Just select the Kohl's Drop Off option online and bring your QR code for a seamless return experience. The customer service at Kohl's is truly commendable!
Always a nice shopping experience. I had a little trouble with a clearance item that did not ring up properly. I came back the next day and Nancy was super helpful and kind to help with my issue. She promptly fixed it and I was in and out quick.

Kohls is not what it used to be, unfortunately. Their jewelry section, if you can call it that, is small to none existent. My husband was looking for a watch, but there were almost no options. I wanted to look at boots, and again, hardly any options. I was looking for some mid length one, but all they had were ankle length. And I think the guys section was bigger than the women's.🤣

I was very fortunate to have been helped by Kim and Joe, both very courteous and knowledgeable clerks who made our return go smoothly without any problems and helped us repurchase another vacuum from their store because of their knowledge and expert advice. These two clerks are why Kohl’s is my favorite store! Thank you for all your help. Being senior citizens, we need all the help and knowledge we can get.

I have shopped here since it’s opened and have spent a lot of money at this Sephora, up until now. I was needing assistance in exchange/return of a item and the staff member helping me wouldn’t even look up my beauty rewards or look to see just point blank told me they can’t help me without a receipt. Went back to Midland Kohl’s Sephora and they took care of it for me with out any hesitation. So nice and kindly explained the process to me. I would not recommend at all this location. Midland is superior plus have such a HUGE selection of products. It’s almost like the real Sephora going there.

Kohls is a great place to shop. I love there clearance racks. The dresses there fit me perfectly. And the cashier that checked me out knew which discounts to apply. She was a blessing.

I enjoyed shopping at the Mt. Pleasant store. I like to shop the sale racks but alot of the things that are on the sale rack, I am not interested in. The items are things that I would compare to garage sale items. Other things, for instance purses, seem very good quality but the prices were so unbelievable! I found a purse I super loved but was $70. I couldn't justify it. I settled on a different brand as it was $22 on sale. I love the purse. It's very roomy and good quality. For me to continue to shop at Kohls on a regular basis, the prices would have to be lowered and the quality would have to be good . Purses were good quality. Some of the clothes not so much! I was originally looking for a bedspread with 2 colors in it. Green and burgundy. I found one but the problem I have is in order to fit my full size bed, you have to buy a King size to actually cover the bed. I have bought queen in times past and it doesnt even cover the mattress. I would have bought the one I found but then I would be stuck with a bedskirt that doesnt fit in order to get it to cover my mattress. In this day and age with prices the way they are, people will shop elsewhere if the prices aren't more reasonable and not forsaking quality.

Great shopping options. I walked in to browse and ended up with 250+$ bill. I opened a credit with them and was approved on site. I received an instant 30% off and I paid 0$ dollars. I will pay the bill using my credit card. Megan was very helpful

Island Park

4.7
(1799)
Park
Nestled just behind City Hall in Mt. Pleasant, Island Park is a stunning 50-acre oasis that embodies the natural beauty of the area. This beloved destination is perfect for families looking to enjoy a sunny afternoon outdoors. With its proximity to downtown, visitors can easily stroll over and immerse themselves in the park's diverse offerings. Island Park boasts an array of activities that cater to all ages and interests. From scenic nature walks along paved trails to exciting sports fields, there's something for everyone here.
We were visiting from out of town, and found these two parks next to each other, connected via a paved walkway around/over the river. It was very peaceful, and we saw people with their dogs, people jogging, people on bikes, as well as others just walking around like we were. I believe the other park is called Nelson Park, which is where we actually started our walk. Island Park has a very large playground, and a "story" trail with signs posted every 20 feet or so, with an activity suggestion, some of which included instructions on how to sign the word "happy" in ASL; the bottom of each sign also has braille, so it is very inclusive! The river walk was beautiful, and there were so many bridges as we crossed over the river numerous times, we lost count!

Very busy place. Looked great for a get together. We stopped to use the bathrooms and checked out the memorial they had there.

This park has all the features you want in a park. Don’t let the leaves steer you away from the splash pad. These photos were taken about a week before Memorial Day, which happened to be the first day the splash pad was opening for the season. The maintenance employee was there turning on the water, and mentioned they were getting ready to clean up the area. ☺️

One of the best playgrounds we’ve been to. Lots of slides and a splash park.

Almost an endless possibilities here. Within walking distance from the downtown district as well connected to other Mt Pleasant parks if you are brave 😂 what I mean would take a long time to walk the entire distance to see all the connected parks but doable. Oh (btw) by the way great fishing here and like I said almost endless things you can do here. I caught a small mouth bass and the others were rock bass. There's no fish tales photos as proof. Would like to have a good single female fishing buddy 😉

I absolutely love this place. Very welcoming and clean. I feel safe especially with park rangers that go throughout the whole park keeping it safe. The river is clean, you can even see to the bottom in areas throughout. I absolutely love tubing down the Chippewa river throughout the parks and city. You can grill, fish walk/run/jog, bicycle, skateboard, swimming, fishing, and great for dog's. Has a decent restroom. Volleyball, baseball, events, skateboard parks, concerts, trails etc are perfect for the whole family. Would highly recommend.

This playground / park is worth a detour to Mt Pleasant. Super neat, large, well designed, decorative playground. This also has walking trails, a splash park, a whole section for just slides, nice bathrooms, etc. The playground is great for younger and older kids.

Chipp-A-Waters Park

Park
Chipp-A-Waters Park in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan offers a serene natural setting with wooded trails running alongside the picturesque Chippewa River. The 30-acre park is part of a state conservation area, providing visitors with the opportunity to observe diverse wildlife. The well-maintained paved paths are popular among walkers, runners, and cyclists, while a dirt trail offers a more rugged experience.
I was up north on vacation and it was another hot day. So I Googled walking trails. This was a nice place. There's a large paved trail if you need that. With benches occasionally. The others are dirt trails. Very wooded. The river comes up often. It's a pretty good fast flowing river. I wouldn't mind kayaking it another time.

Was in the area for a work trip and decided to check out the park to look for fossils by the riverside. I found some and so much more. The park was gorgeous and teaming with wildlife. I saw a snake in the river, minnows, clams, crawfish, snails, numerous frogs, chipmunks, and, various birds. I found a few small crinoid and rugosa fossils on the river edge. Definitely come here if you want a great place to reconnect with nature.

Very nice area to walk alongside the Chippewa River. This is a well trafficked area. You can expect walkers, dogs, runners and bicyclists. The paved concrete paths make for smooth, easy walking and are wheelchair friendly. There is also a dirt trail towards the end of the park that goes out and around. I recommend using the Alltrails app to see the trail system in its entirety.

Beautiful hike with our dogs. Plenty of dog poop bags and garbage cans. The falls were just gorgeous!

It was a great place to go for a walk. It goes into the woods or travels along side the Chippewa River. Depends if you choose to stay on the blacktop trail or go on to the dirt trails. It's flat so not to strenuous of a walk. There's bench's through out to take a break and take in the Beauty, birds and the quiet with the sunshine 🌞 I enjoyed my walk.
Lynda S — Google review
Beautiful trail with lots of wildflowers this time of year! Easy walking on the paved trail. There were tons of birds, but unfortunately it was hard to hear them over the traffic and construction noise. Overall it was a pleasant surprise!
Sara F — Google review
To be honest I didn't know the name of the park It was just a new to me park so the adventurer in me had to explore and enjoyed my time there. Make sure you have comfy walking 👟's there is approximately 6 to 7 city parks enter twined with long black topped pathways no trail markers so could be risky for new people for getting lost ..I never did cuz I'm cool 😎 lol joking. Watch out for the stupid e bike riders shooting last you at high speed.

Family restaurant
Bob Evans is a casual chain that originated on an Ohio farm, offering hearty family-style meals and a country atmosphere. Customers have praised the top-notch service, with waitstaff going above and beyond to accommodate special dietary needs. The food recommendations are highly regarded, with dishes like the roast beef sandwich receiving high praise. Despite some instances of short staffing, the overall dining experience is described as pleasant, with tasty omelettes and well-presented dishes.
Bob Evans has been around forever and I can see why after stopping here for a bite. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. The food menu has a variety of options to include some great options for the frugal foodie. They have a $8.99 special that has several options. I chose the country fried steak and boy was I happy I did. You will not leave hungry. I also over ordered and asked for a bowl of potato cheddar soup, which was delicious. The country fried steak was not greasy but crispy on the outside with the steak being very tender. The side of green beans and mashed potatoes were also superb. I am going to be making this a normal stop option in the future. I would suggest it to anyone.

My girlfriend and I went here for a late dinner and she ordered the chicken tenders meal and I had a breakfast meal. After our initial ordering with the waitress we never saw her again until the food arrived and after that we never saw her again until she brought us the bill. My girlfriend’s chicken tenders were way over cooked as you can see in the pictures provided and were not edible. Also the waitress never asked us if we needed anything or offered any refills tho my glass was empty half way through eating, the restaurant wasn’t even busy because we arrived at 8pm. The manager was also visible during most of our time there but didn’t really do anything nor went to any tables asking how patrons service was and actually walked the other direction after looking me in the eyes as I walked up to the register to pay… When a young girl came to ring up our order she asked me how are food was and I was polite and honest about how the food was and her reply was “yea our chicken tenders distributor changed and we’ve been having problems with them, sorry” irritated I just finished paying and left. Also the last three times we have been there the portion sizes have gotten ridiculously small that we clean our plates quite easily which has never been a thing. We have been a lifelong supporter of Bob Evan’s but lately every time we go there we are disappointed in some way or another so unfortunately our support for this restaurant has ended.

First off the service was fantastic! The waitresses were very nice but the silverware definitely was not clean and the food was way overcooked. There was a leak in the ceiling too and we had to be moved to another table. I feel the biggest thing is there needs to be more consistency in the kitchen with cleaning and cooking. Not into leaving negative reviews but it definitely should be addressed. Thank you for the great waitresses tho! They were amazing.

Lunch was very good. Service was excellent. Sara was our server. Very nice, very polite, great attitude, professional. She made sure we had everything we needed. She checked up on us. She was at our table within a minute to get our drinks, she was busy so she got to us quick. This bob evens is a good resturant to go to for any meal

It really depends on who your server is of you'll have great service or not. So good luck 🍀🤞 lol. Now their menu is top notch as the saying goes from all day breakfast 🥞 🍳 🥓 ham your choice of 🥔's shredded hash browns or cubed home fries starting at $5.99 (mini sampler) to burgers 🍔, large 🥗's some streak options not many as kids spell it tho

I recommend this place 100%. All the times I have went to Bob Evans. This one’s the best. The service was very fast, very professional. Savannah was our server, she checked up on us multiple times. She gave us her food when it was hot and came out right away. She was a very good server. The food came out five minutes after re-ordered. She brought us our coffee and water after a minute of us ordering it. They were also busy. She was very good at her job.

We love Camille’s for the Sunday brunch and special wine events, but my boyfriend and I finally came just to have dinner! Nicole is a skilled server and took great care of us. We had the full and half rack of lamb and they were incredible.

Wife and mother in law loved their food. I enjoyed most my food, I had the tomahawk steak, which was good, but had ton of fat and was little hard in spots. But rest of food and drinks were so good. We had potato skin n bread for starters Tomahawk fries lobster/short rib with crab rice and shepherd pie/short rib

Finally got a chance to stop in, I have been to mountain town station before if you follow my reviews and excellent as well. Camilles was an upscale intimate improvement on that. Right as I'm seated in a lovely looking dining area each corner with its own identity and feel I'm better to my server Marge!!!! She was also my server at mountain Town and was amazing everything she suggested was a home run and today was more of the same. She's easily a top 5 server in the country from my experience. My good was excellent from the Brussels to the hibachi rice my steak was palates perfectly it looked burned but appearance can be deceiving, extremely tender and flavorful, a perfect medium and the crust had no ash taste to it at all, Delicious. My only regret is they were out of the wagyu short rib but I will be back to see Marge and get my short rib you can count on that.

My husband and I had our reception at Camille’s and we could not have had a better experience. Erika was amazing, she helped us through the entire process and was so attentive to our questions. Her and Vince were there the entire time and were both so amazing. We had someone with dietary restrictions come and they accommodated at a moments notice. The venue in the tent in the gardens was gorgeous and spacious, and the corn hole was a fun addition. The food was immaculate! I would recommend them over and over again.

I didn’t catch my server’s name but she had a bob, was really nice and her service made the experience pleasant! I took off 1 star only because my lobster ravioli tasted sooooo fishy and spoiled after the first bite that I had to send it back— which I never do. I love seafood and have had many cooked and raw seafood dishes before, by far the worst I’ve had. I was literally gagging after the first bite and felt extremely sick when I got home. Drinks were tasty, especially the espresso martini and I really enjoyed the lemon parmesan arancini!
Mariah R — Google review
I've been here twice in the past two years and had a great experience both times! Some may complain about the prices, but in my opinion it is well worth the quality of ingredients and uniqueness of the menu. We went for our anniversary and I called ahead to ensure that the kitchen was willing to accommodate my fish and seafood allergy. The manager, Jarin, was professional and understanding. At dinner, he stopped by the table several times and communicated with the kitchen. I had the Cherry Duck and my husband had the Espresso rubbed steak. Both dishes were incredible. We also had the deviled eggs as an app and the relish on top made the whole dish. I went again with some friends and we all enjoyed the seasonal cocktail selections. Again the staff handled my allergy extremely well. I had the Basil Cappelini with chicken and it was fresh and flavorful.
Kailyn A — Google review
The place was really cool, atmosphere and vibe was great, the server was good, did not ask how food was at the end, might be a reason for that. I want to give this place 5 start because their flavors were spot on and the drinks were great but the portion sizes and some cooking quakity did not match the prices at all. We ordered 3 apps for just 2 ladies (something we very commonly do and can get full) I have no complaints about the oysters. The crabcakes were really tasty but picture smaller than a regular sized marshmallow and only 3 of them, the pickles on top were larger than the cake, but a nice touch. The brusselsprouts had amazing flavor but we didn't find a single heart in there, it was just the fallen off bits and they were so over cooked they just fell apart in your mouth it was quite dissapointing. Would not order food there again on the basis of the price not matching what you're given. Would go for drinks though.

Mediocre at best. Ordered a boozy hot chocolate with Bailey's, tasted like Bailey's in warm water. For this they charged $10. The wet burrito was dry but had decent flavor. Husband got fish and chips. Very small portion, mediocre taste. Wasn't really worth stopping but live and learn. Should have known better from previous reviews.

The restaurant could use a good cleaning. The bathroom was not pleasant! I ordered the Ruben the meat was tuff. Our server never refilled my water glass but she did ask if I wanted more water when she brought the bill when we were waiting to leave.

It was a very cute place. I could see a lot of potential. But we stood there waiting to be seated or even acknowledged for quit a while. Then we got seated and placed our order. It finally came out and another girl brought it to us. Our waitress never returned to see if everything was ok. At all. Another girl finally brought our bill when they realized I was looking all over wondering when our waitress would return. The girl apologized that our waitress got busy with another large group but why did she not ask for help a lot sooner???? We were never asked if we wanted desert or more drinks…. And when I got the bill for 2 dinners. 2 soups and 2 teas I was glad I didn’t order more. Very high prices with horrible service the whole time. We just had the same basic meal at another restaurant but left full, happy and had amazing service for $42 and tipped $20… they charged $65 and we only tipped $5 because I was so disappointed in the whole thing.

We at here on July 1st. It was 11:30 when we went in, waitress waited on us pretty quickly. Put took forever to come back for our food order it was almost noon. And there was maybe 10 table in the who resturant. Food come out nice and hot. At 12:45 I final yelled to the bartender if they like me to pay a bill would be nice. As we did see our waitress after she Dropped ( yes I me drop not set) the food at our table. Bartender brought me my bill said the waitress would be right over. She came never ask how it was took my card ran it and went to walk away. I was like I like a receipt. She was rude. And worse she was training. Lord help if they end up with 2 waitress like this.

This place already has a great name! The bar in the middle adds to the name and seems to be a local hangout, which is super cool. There are seating areas to either side of the bar and we sat in the smaller section. The staff was friendly and I dare say fun. They were interactive and actually liked to have conversations without being too intrusive. The food was good. The Ahi Tuna was good and the salad had a great flavor to it. The tuna had just the right amount of flavor. I have had better but it’s been a while since I had this plate, so I was happy to eat it. The Reuben was tasty and the meat was tender with good flavoring. Their was not a lot of meat but almost the right amount as sometimes you can have too much and it overpowers everything. The French dip was good and will be someone’s return plate. The fajita wrap was flavorful but not a fan favorite. I didn’t eat it so I am limited on how much detail I can really give. Oh, they have something called the Texas Twinkie which is basically a cream cheese filled jalapeño wrapped in bacon. We didn’t get an opportunity to try it as it was all sold out, but it will be on the “to do” next time! I almost want to give the place 5 stars as the staff definitely made the place shine but there were a few blemishes to the visit. The main one was the table we were sat at had a lot of crackers broken underneath as if a child was fed there. The staff was definitely busy and not lingering but the cleanliness of the floors did tarnish the place getting 5 stars. I don’t want to sound like the place was a dive. It is actually pretty nice. The food was good and would be a definite “do again” place. Thanks for reading…..Cheers!

Last visit we will make. Went on Friday with 6 adults and 2 kids. Only 5 ate. Service was so slow and awful in general. The food overall was terrible. We told the server the cottage cheese tasted spoiled and she said, “ok”. Kid’s burger was like a hockey puck so dry, hard and gross. I got the pulled pork and took one bite and it was awful. The next time she came back to the table we were done. She asked if we needed boxes as there was a full meal. I told her no thanks the sandwich didn’t taste good. Again the reply, “ok”. We were then given our 2 separate bills with a large party 20% gratuity added. We asked about it and said that only 5 people ate. She said, “the computer automatically adds it”…doubtful. The quality has gone downhill. Go anywhere but here.

Deerfield Nature Park is a beautiful riverside natural area featuring various trails and two disc-golf courses. It offers opportunities for fishing, camping, kayaking on the Chippewa river, and capturing stunning photos at the covered bridge. The swinging bridges add excitement to the park experience, although they may pose challenges for young children and dogs. Families can enjoy swimming and fishing at the beach and platform.
It’s a great place for relaxing time with friends. There are several different trails and easy walking. Pick how much time you want to spend, by picking your destination. There are a few pretty neat spots along the trail. Such as a wooden covered bridge for one!

Who went to this park second but we should have went here first. Could have spent all day walking through the trails at this one the cool suspension bridges and also a covered bridge. You can rent the covered bridge and picnic area with huge boulder stones for occasions such as weddings family reunions whatever you'd like to rent it for really. Kind of deep in the woods away from the city, and they have a rugged camp sight. For $20 a night you can register and camp in the deep woods. Happy Safe Travels!

Beautiful hiking trails that are not steep very friendly staff. Walk along the river and try to spot some critters. There are plenty of snakes around the trails but are harmless. Great views along the trails of the Chippewa River and even river access. It's a must to go find all the suspension bridges and the cover bridge. Highly recommend this for anyone into nature or out for a family day with the kids

This has to be one of my favorite county parks, my family and I come every weekend. We love the long scenic trails, and the campsites are always super clean and well-kept. They also have two complete 18-hole disc golf courses, and a beach with a swimming area. If you're into fishing, then you have to stop by, we've never left empty-handed. The park staff are always willing to drop what they're doing and help, from the hard-working park rangers to the incredibly helpful gate attendants. It's always an amazing place to hike and stay.

Pickens Fields is a fantastic destination for families and sports enthusiasts alike. Recently upgraded, these well-maintained baseball and softball facilities now feature exciting additions like the "home run porch" bleachers in right field, enhanced grassy infields, and newly installed lights that allow games to continue into the evening—what child wouldn’t love playing under the stars?
I like to park and walk here. However there are extensive Baseball and softball facilities, new and well maintained. In one day I saw every division play. This field also connects to nearby Island Park, via a walkway bridge, non-vehicle. It passes right over the River.

I read the reviews and most were good but she acted like I was bothering her. I told her my wife would come and pick out what she wanted but nor with her negative attitude. Maybe it was a o e time deal so I might try again. Hopefully she wants to make a sale because I do want to support local businesses

Mini City

Children's amusement center
Today, we visited Mini City in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, and it was the perfect spot for toddlers. Located right downtown, close to Pisanello's and other great spots, Mini City offers a fun and engaging environment for young children. The venue is not too pricey, although they don't offer a year pass, which would be a welcome addition for frequent visitors. They do have some deals available, which helps. It's a smaller place, with a maximum capacity of about 15 people at a time, ensuring a more intimate and manageable experience for both kids and parents. Overall, Mini City is a fantastic destination for toddlers. While repeated visits can get pricey without a year pass membership, the quality of the experience makes it worthwhile. Highly recommended for parents looking for a safe and enjoyable place for their little ones.

So there we were rained out from doing a birthday party at the local park. I purchased quite a few passes for my daughter's birthday party and the Staff went above and beyond in service. I called when they opened and explained what was going on, they set up tables and was excellent in service. A great place for kids, the layout online does not do the place justice. So many fun rooms and toys for kids to play with. All the kids at the party had fun as well as the parents

We visited this gem a year ago, and I've been trying to get back ever since! Lots of activities. My 3 boys (3, 3, & 2) were jumping from thing to thing like it was the best day of their life. Perfect place for meeting up with another parent with kids to get to catch up while the kiddos are entertained and contained in a safe environment. Highly recommend!

So much fun my daughter loves this place and so do I. So clean and fun. Great place for your littles They will ask to go back every day!! I tell everyone about this place. The people that own it are the nicest girls you'll ever meet. If you go there like we do they will remember your name. It's the little things that count. LOVE MINI CITY

We drove here from Houghton lake - about an hour away - after I got out of work. Our little girls were very excited to come play here for the first time. We arrived an hour before close and they were closed already. Girls were upset and we wasted all that gas. Upsetting.

Park
Nelson Park is a charming 5-acre riverside park in Mt. Pleasant, offering various recreational activities for visitors. It features a canoe landing and fishing deck, as well as picnic areas and hiking/biking trails. The park also boasts a skate park, basketball courts, pickeball and tennis courts, softball fields, and a splash pad. With its picturesque setting along the river, it's an ideal spot for photography and leisurely strolls.
Beautiful park we stumbled across while out road tripping through Michigan. Really enjoyed it. The bear and fountain was well done. The little covered bridge was cute. There was even people on the small beach playing in the river, and caught a couple people rubbing down it as well. Some crystal clear water that looked refreshing.
Brian D — Google review
Not really sure how it does it because this park is usually crowded with cars constantly folks walking around or bike rides or jogging or fishing yet at same time the park is usually quiet and peaceful it's also connected to the Island park which is much larger and noisy but also a great 😃👍 park. 🗣️📢 Warning ⚠️ there is an active freight train track in between both Nelson Park and Island park so always know where your mutt and or kiddos are. You're welcome 😁

Great park for photography and photo shoots in general. This place has a whole lot going for it. The park looks great, has a great view of the river, as well as some very nice places to sit and watch the water. You can really tell that the people maintaining the park care about their job, there's all sorts of little things in the landscaping that shows real care. I liked seeing all the people out and about the several times I was there. Lots of people were out enjoying the sun and walking the trail. That's just great! The city should be proud of this little gem along the water as it's a thing to be proud of.

Not friendly wait staff rude wait staff wouldnt even properly check for my debit card when I went there for a burger and fries and this is the last place my debit card was used. Waiters will walk away mid sentence to go away from doing their requirement which is to serve Had one beer and the wait staff expected a tip for doing nothing didn't ask me if I wanted another one didn't even pick up the plate. Kate was the absolute best waitress we have had in a long time anywhere! Very prompt friendly smile excellent service! And it was my birthday! We came in as part of harvest host members. They allow us to park on their property in downtown Mount Pleasant. Our server, Andrew, I believe his name was had excellent suggestions for drinks as well as dining. we had the Mountaintown onion, which I do not suggest the Pork Morel entrée which I highly suggest and for dessert we had the gluten-free blackberry cobbler with ice cream. Four drinks he selected for me the Real yard raspberry witches absolutely amazing and the notorious F. I. G. Both I highly recommend.

Sydney was our waitress. She was so extremely friendly AND professional. We had the best experience. My wife ordered the Prime Rib Dip. I ordered the Prime Rib dinner. The Brussel Sprouts were absolutely fantastic. I literally can't "Bob Ross" the words to fully express the Brussel Sprouts. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned but kept their original green fresh look!! We both enjoyed our craft beers, IPA and a Bock. (Can't recall the names exactly) We will definitely be back and will 1000% recommend it to friends and family.

Nice place to have dinner. Busy and kinda loud but food was good. Train was fun to view out the window. Drinks were tasty.

I had high hopes. We're new to the area & decided to try Mountain Town for my birthday dinner. We shared two appetizers - the Scotch eggs & the battered onion. Both were good and I appreciate how the egg was pre-sliced for sharing. I ordered the pork morel. It has a wonderful flavor, unfortunately I don't think the mushrooms were properly cleaned leaving the dish very gritty & unenjoyable. My husband had the fish & chips which were fine, nothing spectacular but nothing bad to report. We each had one of the branded beers - stout for him, barrel aged red ale for me. We enjoyed them both. Service was just ok - great initially then we had to chase down the check after our main dishes were dropped off. Overall not impressive enough for the drive back (over 30 min).

Picture of our $30 Salmon Dinner, as presented, hadn't touched it when we got it from our waitress, who, as a human, was very nice. But literally how does this garbage even leave the kitchen. She was embarrassed. We were embarrassed for her. But no worries we will never ever go back.

We had a most enjoyable dinner experience with Tyler last night after driving up from home in our motorhome. The Mountain Town Station is a fantastic Harvest Host destination with the ease of parking for any size rigs and the service, food and atmosphere of the restaurant made it instantly one of our favorite stops. Add in the best value for a dinner meal we’ve seen in a long time and this place easily earns its 5 stars.

We stopped into the Mt Pleasant, MI TJMaxx on a whim after picking up a trailer load of flooring at the nearby Menards. While perusing the store, we found the perfect accent chairs (on clearance!) but only had an open trailer to haul them back on. It was scattered rain outside of course (April in Michigan) so we asked the associate if they had anything we could use to cover them. Not only did she provide us with several plastic bags, she also brought out some packing tape along with a friendly smile. She stuck it out with us as we methodically wrapped and secured the chairs for their 2 hour journey home in potential rain. I wish I had taken the time to get her name, but she was awesome and went out of her way to help without batting an eye. Highly recommend this location if you happen upon it. The store was well stocked and very clean too! Thank you so much for assisting us - you made our day!

Very peaceful store to shop in. Great selection of products to choose from and fair prices. Plenty of registers open to check out after finished shopping. Love love love their plus size clothing selection and all the super fantastic deals in the clearance section. Best grocery selection and I can often find products here that I have not been able to find at other similar chain stores. Their housewares section is also very nice with so many beautiful choices that aren't available elsewhere.

The reason I go to places with self-checkout is because I'm not prepared to have pleasant conversation with a random person. Having that choice taken away from me by that older lady almost ruined my day. Thanks Edit: I realize I was targeted because of my green hair and wearing a mask. Well, I don't have green hair anymore so maybe that will fix the biases of the older women at this store.

Usually only go to Target for specific items. They're a department store with slightly higher prices. But most things are a decent quality, but you still pay more. This is just my theory. I've never done research to prove it. Still enjoy shopping there occasionally.

If I could give zero stars I would. The employees are the most repulsive and rudest people I have ever had the inconvenience of interacting with. The way they talk on the floor and to each other is disgraceful! And to add they don’t even ask customers if there’s anything they could help them look for. They just watch them run around all confused trying to find items! And they always act like they hate their lives . All around it’s been a very aweful experience and I really hope the other Burlingtons aren’t like this.

So far very impressed with the atmosphere and friendly people. Our daughter is just starting her Grad degree in Psychology. The affordability and convenience of her apartment at The Reserve Mt. Pleasant from the school is great. She is feeling supported and hopeful from day one. The campus is beautiful and the town is equally impressive. Looking forward to more visits.

Do NOT go here. There's so many things wrong with this college. I couldn't possibly list them all. I will start off by saying all they care about is your money. I've had professors email me saying I wasn't "worthy" to be in their class. The reasoning: I was on suicide watch. It was hard for me to be there all the time. I've told them this, yet they don't care. All they see is "excuses." None of them even tried to work with me. It was either I somehow magically become un-suicidal or they fail me. Guess which one it was. I am a poc (person of color). The RACISM there is INSANE. While the diversity there is better than I expected, the racism comes along with it. I was a psychology major. I loved it until CMU ruined it with their awful psych classes. ASL was my minor. It is expected that we only speak with our hands, right? That was definitely the case. I was struggling with it, so I asked if I could meet after class to get some help in English rather than in ASL, and they refused. I personally think that's insane. After hours is not classroom time. We should be able to speak verbally if it is more convenient. I am by no means fluent in ASL, so how is that going to work? It makes no sense. I was lied to about my student balance. I was told I paid everything off MONTHS AGO, yet I just got notified that I owe THOUSANDS. You can imagine the frustration I felt when I learned this. I made many phone calls to get to the bottom of it. Some of the people I spoke with were EXTREMELY rude. Shout out to Denise. She was very nice and helpful. Even after all of the phone calls, nothing more could be done about it, so I am stuck paying MORE money. It's amazing how even months after leaving CMU, they still found ways to drain my pockets. I was thinking about going back once my mental health and financial situation improved, but I will NEVER go back to CMU. I wish I could leave zero stars. The only thing CMU has is a nice-looking campus. You can find nice views elsewhere. Save yourself the mental warfare and financial troubles.

This place is a disgrace. The many of the professors refuse to meet outside of their office hours, even when their office hours are during another class. As of now I can count no less than 10 broken vending machines on campus, some that haven't been fixed in 4 months! I've called both CMU and the vendors, and neither one wants to fix the machines. I guess they don't want to make money. The parking meters aren't maintained. I found one of the only available parking spaces near the Univerity Center. It was filled with quarters so much that it couldn't accept any more, so I was unable to pay my meter. You supposedly can pay with an app, but it's only available for iPhone, and I have an android, so i want able to pay that way either. I came out to find I had been ticketed for not paying for a space (I didn't have a student pass at the time). This is an absurd business practice. The bathrooms smell like urine all the time, especially in Pearce Hall and Engineering Technology buildings. I have found the same filth left on the toilets in the bathrooms several days in a row. Considering the volume of traffic, those bathrooms should be cleaned twice a day, but at least once a day. The engineering building is the most frustrating sight on campus. When it rains heavily multiple buckets are used to catch the leaks inside the building. There are almost no places to plug in your phone or laptop because there aren't enough electrical outlets in the common areas, and of the ones that are present, many aren't working or are broken. The only reprieve is an extension cord that someone plugged into the cooling of the first floor to access from the common area on the second floor. Otherwise, in order to charge your phone or computer, you have to sit on the floor like a child playing with his toys because the only outlets available are in the middle of a hallway and are meant for maintenance for cleaning rather than students. Basically, you will not find working electrical outlets in the same place as seating areas on campus. All of the sectional furniture in engineering should have been replaced 5 or more years ago, it's all stained and broken down or torn to the point that goodwill probably wouldn't accept it. There are no study rooms in the entire building, making it hard to find places to work on group projects without leaving to make room for a class. The printers in this building are a joke. Most of the ones in the classrooms are blinking because they are out of toner, paper, or just gave up on life. When they are working they often aren't accessible to student accounts and I have to go to the front office to print, except that I have to convert whatever I need to print into a pdf because that's all it accepts. I guess it's too much to expect when they don't even know how to install the door stops in the correct place to...eh...stop a door. I will amend this review when I see that my tuition dollars are being used effectively demonstrate basic maintenance and upkeep on campus. Since no one is interested in fixing the problem, hopefully posting here will make this more of a priority for Central Michigan University.

I had a great experience attending this School. There is so much diversity here and different ethnic groups. When I was there I lived in Calkins Hall. It was an all girls Hall back then. I learned so much and made so many lifelong friends. It changed me forever as a person. This is a really good School to go to in a small town. There are lots to do. I loved this School and am forever grateful that I had the opportunity to go here. Fire up Chips!

Restaurant
First Wok Chinese Restaurant has been a beloved staple in Mount Pleasant for over two decades, cherished by families and locals alike. This charming eatery, originally founded by a wonderful family and now managed by their children, offers an array of delicious Asian cuisine at very reasonable prices. Diners rave about the generous portions of shrimp fried rice, crab Rangoon, and egg rolls that keep them coming back for more.
I’ve been here twice, both times they’ve given me a huge amount of food and it’s tasted good :) love the crab Rangoon

Angry workers, no flavor in the lo mein. Over priced and well over a 30 minute wait for one dish. Never had Asian food so tasteless yet expensive 😕

I've been coming to First Wok for at least 20 years, as a wee lad my mother would take me and my brothers. I've never been dissapointed. Best Asian cuisine in Mount Pleasant and very reasonably priced. Love their shrimp fried rices crab Rangoon and egg rolls.

Ordered Hunan Chicken, General Tso Chicken and Shrimp & Beef Hunan. I will NEVER order from here again. We used to really enjoy their chinese food. The chicken was hard like it was old or reused. Couldn't even chew most of it. My cats wouldn't even eat it and they love chicken. There were only 4 pieces of shrimp in a LARGE meal. The meals had NO flavor! I ordered mime extra spicy and there was NOT any flavor at all. Was absolutely horrible! I will never waste my money like that again. Totally unbelievable POOR quality. Was disgusting. And it is SAD because was a favorite place to go. But no longer for sure! Good restaurants in this town has really gone down hill!!! 🫩🤢🤮

Usually, it is the best Chinese food in Mount Pleasant. Their customer service is one of the worst you can get in Michigan. We placed an order for seven meals, but apparently, that is too big of an order for them to make. They were completely rude about the whole situation. I'll only go here if it is only just one meal to order at a time, but I'm not going back anytime soon. I called twice, and they never answered. I drove there, and once I walked in the door, the phone had been ringing constantly, never to be smarter by this depressed teen. The mom and pop are busting their butt off, and this guy is ruining everything.

Male worker was very rude. A couple of my friends and I were waiting well over 25mins for our food, i went up to them and asked where our food was and that is has been over 25mins. He then replied with “This isn’t Mcdonalds, go somewhere else then”

Service was slow, generals chicken was all breading with no flavor and it was over fried. Peppered steak was just ok.

Ordered online and got home and opened my pizza and there’s barely any cheese and all my toppings burnt and it literally looks like they ripped my pizza with their hands. It doesn’t even look appealing. As someone who’s worked in food service I know appearance does matter to people.

Hubby n I have lived all over the USA. This is the best pizza Anywhere. Tried a couple other places when we moved to MI and so pricey and nasty tasting. Had specialty Philly Cheese Pizza made to order with no Green Peppers. Perfect! And Cinnamon bites fresh with yummy frosting. Delivery came earlier then quoted all hot and delicious. Thanx Dominoes

I was craving one of their new pizzas that comes in a black box and it only comes in a medium size I ordered online I probably shouldn't have done that. If you make a mistake and order the wrong pizza (or call and say I'm not happy with my pizza) you're going to be met with a very defensive shift manager that WILL NOT remake your pie. I don't want my money back I just wanted to enjoy my pizza. I don't order pizza very often and I was looking forward to a good one. It didn't happen here. I took her name and the general manager's name but decided not to call the next day because according to my Son that's "just the way she is, and corporate has already been contacted." The whole experience just made me feel like ...dirty and I needed to shower!

I would service 6 stars if I could. I had recently ordered a pizza through delivery, and while it was delicious, it was not the one I ordered. The manager at this location, he told me to put down “Peach”, he was so kind. He more than made up for My what could even be remotely called a bad experience with this location, even gave me a free 2 L as well as comped my pizza for tonight. I will certainly be ordering again. If you ever have any problems, come into the store and ask for Peach. Thank you Tuesday night crew!

Steak house
Texas Roadhouse is a vibrant steakhouse that offers American cuisine with a Southwestern twist, all within a Texas-themed ambiance. It pleasantly surprised a group of four individuals who had low expectations but were delighted by the flavorful and well-seasoned dishes. One member of the party ordered salmon with shrimp, mashed potatoes, buttery corn, and enjoyed the hot and fresh rolls served each time. The standout aspect was the exceptional service provided by an excellent server who received a generous tip for their quality assistance.
From the moment we stepped in the door it was like the staff knew us... I know they don't, but they treated us like regulars... the salads were crisp ... the steak cooked to perfection .... sides were all extremely good.... the prices at the end.... ohhhhh man..... phenomenal!!! The waitress was a gem .... a manager named Joe made himself available almost immediately .... excellent service.... ohhhh and the rolls and butter are exactly what you expect .... perfection.... two thumbs up

This was our 1st time eating at this location. AB was our waitress & she was great! It was super busy & she kept on top of drinks, rolls & making sure we were good. Even though it was busy, it didn't take long to get our food. I had the full rack of ribs that were a little dry on the end, but the rest were moist! I love their ribs. Hubby got a cactus blossom & the steak & shrimp platter. He was very happy with his food as well. We even got a bag of peanuts when we sat down! I definitely recommend this Texas road house! Oh, by the way, I forgot to take pictures before we ate so this was what was left lol.

Sadly we decided to both have the 14oz prime rib last night! Have NEVER had a worse cut, cooked or served piece of prime rib in our life!! There was more fat than meat! Our server was EXCELLENT! However our bill after tip was just over $90, we couldn't penalize our server for the TERRIBLY prepared and cut of prime rib we were given!! I sure HOPE the Mt. Pleasant Texas Roadhouse never serves this quality cut of prime rib to us or anyone else again!! I'm attaching pictures of ALL the fat from just ONE of the prime rib dinners!!! Our receipt from this NASTY prime rib dinner also.

I do love the flavor and quality of the food. Service is amazing. I was really frustrated when I ordered a steak medium and it came out medium well. Waited forever, came back mostly well and the manager says that is our medium, a warm red center. I’m not stupid! I’m sorry but if I’m paying I would like it cooked as requested. No comp, no apology. Just an argument from management is not the way to take care of customers.
Nriches12 — Google review
We went to the Texas Road house in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. 1st order were steak tips, cooked to medium rare. They were so tough couldn't chew, hard to even cut with knife. Sent back ordered something else. 2nd order steak kabobs. No kabobs, just everything on a bed of rice, ordered rare. Approx half of the meat couldn't be chewed, gross, spit it out on plate. Told waitstaff about toughness. 3rd order chicken and ribs. Ordered with honey mustard and ranch. It came with just ranch. Chicken strips were not crispy at all, ribs were cold. Told waitstaff, they took them back and ordered another set of ribs. Second set of ribs came out, I checked temperature while waitstaff delivered them, barely warm, I asked them if they check temperature before serving, I was told yes, they cook to 155. There is no way these ribs were served at that temp. They either re-heated them, or let them sit for awhile before bringing them out. Waitstaff said they would get another set, I told them not to bother. So I ate my soggy chicken strips. They did take the 3rd order off of the bill. Still billed for the steak tips instead of the cheaper chicken meal. Needless to say, I will not go back to the Mt. Pleasant location. I have ate at numerous Texas Roadhouse locations and have never had such a bad experience in my life at any of them. The Lansing Michigan locations are top notch!
Bobbie D — Google review
Our waitress Avi was phenomenal! She knows exactly what it means to be an attentive server. She was sweet, quick to get our order even though it was very busy, consistent in checking on us, and our drinks were never empty. She kept the used plates cleared and kept the rolls coming! She made sure to get us boxes and promptly got our tickets ready when we were finished. Wonderful experience all the way around, but she made it even better! She is an asset to your restaurant and I hope she is properly accommodated as such!

Very nice location! Visited here on a Wednesday afternoon around 3:30 in June, loved the staff - they work hard and a very friendly. Food was amazing!!

Kids pizzas were okay, hardly any pepperoni on them though. My sun was 95% bell peppers 3% cucumbers 1%meat and 1% sauces. My wife’s sandwich same thing with only 5-6 tiny little chicken pieces for a whole food long sub. ALSO COSTED $40 and i bet my 5 year old could of made a better sandwich! HIGHLY DISSATISFIED! If your getting subway in mount pleasant I suggest driving to the other one

My fiance and I went in last night (Monday, March 4th 2025 around 8:30...) There were 3 girls on staff that I could tell. None of them were doing their jobs correctly and they were terrible at taking an order let alone understanding what a green pepper was.. the floors were dirty, couldn't even see the meat options because they were trying to close up HOURS before close... They were all chatting and not taking care of the customers present. The young lady who took our order does not need to be working in a subway if she can't understand basic food items let alone the menu! I ordered a salad, she asked me 3 times making sure I didn't want meat but her didnt put cheese on my salad... Thought that was common knowledge and again... Couldn't see it because they had it blocked off to close up... I asked for extra cucumber as she was cutting it and she didn't do so... I asked for vinaigrette and she gave me some horrible sauce I couldn't even tell you what it is!! She made my fiances sub and couldn't even understand what he was asking for when he asked for green pepper... Barely put toppings on top... She was flat out terrible at her job to the point I FELT DUMB standing there ordering from her! My fiance went back to get cheese on top and said they still haven't cleaned up at all! As well as that she barely put any cheese on the salad; Flat out stupid!! The cucumbers were soggy and gross... Couldn't tell you the employee number but she had long blonde hair making subs with a brunette girl around 8:30 last night. Whole crew last night needs looked into!! They need to stop hiring college students, wait til they graduate so you know they have gained some knowledge!

I’m seriously done going to Subway. I don’t understand why it’s $17 (That’s including the one dollar I tipped because I feel bad for them) for one sub, not a meal. I asked the lady to help me pull up my rewards to scan. “She says I just work here”. Then one other employee didn’t know how to do it and had to get the manager. In general just made me uncomfortable. Just for my points to expire because I will not be returning. She didn’t offer a receipt so it just prompt me to leave a review online. I knew I should’ve went to any other food place in town, to get more for my money and better food. I was debating on just returning the sandwich and getting my money back when I walked out. Also, the app is ridiculous. Every time I open it, it requires an update and I lose all my points.

Would recommend 10/10, uh I forgot her name but she made very good soob but personally I just like the bread. Bread is so wonderful. I only come to write a funny but honest review. :p anyway order some of their soobway soobs, they're nice even if you're a little weird. Just if you don't like too much sauces or anything be sure to like uh ask for light sauce and uhm yes have a great day!

Food is usually pretty good but when training new people things have been overlooked. I ALWAYS tip. It makes the difference between a good sub sandwich and a great sub sandwich. I don't tip on the app. I hand it to them to divide or not. My orders have always been good but tipping makes sure of it. Plus they appreciate the fact I appreciate them too.

Museums
Located in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, the Mt. Pleasant Discovery Museum offers a variety of hands-on activities and exhibits designed for children aged 12 and under. The museum features indoor exhibits focused on math, science, history, and bee education in the Beemazium. Children can engage in imaginative play by building dams, climbing with bees, cooking Japanese food, simulating banking and grocery shopping experiences, launching rockets, and more.
Very cool children’s museum with lots of fun activities for the little ones. They have a real beehive, area for toddlers, some fun experiments. Place was spotless clean, staff super friendly and nice little area for birthdays. Price was $30, not bad for a full day of fun :)
Breit M — Google review
If you're considering a visit to this children's museum, I would recommend thinking twice. While it may seem like a fun and interactive space for kids, our recent experiences have raised concerns about cleanliness and safety. During our last visit, my wife, son, and I all got sick, each with a different illness. Unfortunately, our son has gotten sick after visiting this museum multiple times. What's particularly concerning is the water feature in the kids' play area, which needs to be tested regularly and has been known to have issues with high levels of E. coli. This raises serious questions about the sanitation of the space. While the activities are engaging, the recurring illnesses we’ve experienced make us hesitant to return. For the sake of your family’s health, I’d recommend being cautious before visiting.

This is a very active art center in Mt Pleasant, providing exceptional art experiences to visitors for such a small town. The staff is very nice. I have participated in ArtWalk for several years now and enjoy being a part of such a good quality art experience.

My husband has displayed his wine holders at Art Reach for several years. Although we both like the fact that Art Reach showcases the talent of many local artists, and it's a great place to find unique gifts, we were extremely unhappy with the carelessness with which they handled selling his items. Recently he received a check for less than the agreed to selling amount. He inquired and was told they marked it down because it was the last of his items they had, never advising him of such. However, Art Reach did not take a cut in their 40% commission. They had over 3 dozen of his wine holders, but over the years he has only received payment for a third of the items they had. The establishment needs to improve on their record-keeping and improve upon their communication with their artists who display their works.

Art Reach is a fantastic organization! The store offers works from over 150 artists and it literally has something for everyone. Plus, they offer affordable art classes and tons of artist opportunities!

I recommend everyone visit Ziibiwing Center - learning about Anishinabe culture and history should be part of every Michigan resident’s experience. You can easily spend several hours on your own here, but I recommend booking a tour. Our guide was fantastic - we wished we could have stayed longer. They also have a lovely gift shop and a rotating exhibit. I will be back and bring new friends!

Beautiful museum. Theater spaces all comfortable. Most importantly the stories and narratives are told in the voices of the people represented in the museum.

This was educational and well done. I am glad we went and learned about the American Indians in this area and their interaction with the USA. This is an area of our history that probably still needs some attention. This group of people has much to share about how to live harmoniously with this part of the earth. They have very interesting techniques for both food and housing.

Amazing. Absolutely wonderful experience. The art, artifacts, history, and stories to see and hear was such an amazing experience. I highly recommend!

Kids loved it! Highly recommend. Bring money for the gift shop.

I was so impressed by this museum! Don't be sleeping on this one! You learn so much about Anishinabek culture and ways. It's enriching and educational, some parts even get emotional. 10 out of 10 from me! My little boy really loved the interactive language exhibits.
Cassondra S — Google review
Went here for my child's class field trip. I lived the experience! It was very informative about the culture and so interactive! Will definitely return with the family to learn more next time!

Lovely Indian Museum. There is a gift shop where you can buy authentic Indian made items. We toured the museum and there was a nominal charge. As senior citizens we paid $3.75 each. I understand that they also have computers where you can research your Indian ancestry. Very nice facility. While we were there, there was an elementary school class visiting so we got to attend a presentation of the history and meaning of tribal dances.

Sushi restaurant
Nestled in the heart of central Michigan, Midori Sushi and Martini Lounge offers a unique blend of rustic charm and sleek modernity. This delightful spot is perfect for those seeking fresh sushi crafted from top-notch ingredients sourced from renowned partners like the Honolulu Fish Company and Snake River Farms. The menu features inventive martinis made with house-made syrups and fruits, ensuring that every sip is as exciting as the last.
We picked this restaurant off of trip advisor reviews, certainly glad we did! We shared the Crab Rangoon and Edamame, both were amazing! The Rock Lobster roll was so delicious, the aioli sauce on top made it even better! I had the Blood Orange Martini 🧡 Our server was top notch! We will be back!

Why the 3 stars? We went for our friend's birthday and although the reservation was made for 7 pm, we did not get seated until a little after 8 pm. By the time we were seated, not many people were left in the restaurant - and despite the rush having slowed down, the drinks took over 30 minutes to get to us and food another 45 or so minutes. We had to change our orders several times because they were out of the dishes we wanted. The server tried her best to make our experience better, but cannot hide the disappointment because I have heard such wonderful things about this place and was really looking forward to this dinner. Will check back in a later date - hoping this experience was just a fluke. 5 starts to the lady who waited on us.

Great experience here the other weekend. Our service was wonderful! The server and even others were attentive and friendly. There was a problem with our salads and it was handled perfectly. The food was also wonderful. We will visit again next time in town!

We’re local but don’t get out to Midori often so I was excited that trying something new was a success. My boyfriend and I went for drinks and dinner, and were both very happy with our cocktails and meals. The drunken noodles with tofu were flavorful and filling.

Saki flight is very nice. The rolls are great. The sides are sold separately, and things are expensive.
Ryan G — Google review
We made a reservation for our anniversary and were seated in the corner in a very claustrophobic setting. We ordered one roll and it took an hour to get, not to mention that the sushi rice was not cooked properly and the roll was falling apart. Service was mediocre. Women’s bathroom was not in good condition. Very meh on an overpriced experience.
Jillian N — Google review
Visited this lovely restaurant with a charming patio. Service was friendly and drinks arrived promptly. Sushi orders came in two parts: first three rolls quickly, the rest with a 45-minute delay. Tip: order shareables to minimize waiting. Food presentation was impressive. Overall, a pleasant experience worth trying, just be prepared for potential delays. The Beef Satay - cooked Medium Rare, would recommend medium at least. It was slightly chewy. The Crab Rangoon - tasty but the ginger sauce made this dish. The Drunken Noodles - great presentation, it was delicious! Tip: have the kitchen split this if you’re sharing it.

Very good drinks and food!! I do wish that the staff would have been more personable. Seemed like the staff were just there to work and not so much entertain the guests. Food was fast and delicious and drinks were beautiful.

Fast food restaurant
Burger King is a popular fast-food chain renowned for its delicious grilled burgers, crispy fries, and creamy shakes. During a recent trip out of town, I decided to indulge in one of their breakfast sandwiches. To my delight, the service was exceptional! My order was ready almost instantly while I was still adding creamer to my coffee. The restaurant was impressively clean, and the staff radiated friendliness throughout my visit. It truly made for an enjoyable morning experience at Burger King!
I don’t normally eat fast food, but I was out of town and stopped in for a breakfast sandwich. Wow! Great service! I ordered a breakfast meal, and before I finished putting creamer in my coffee, the order was up! SUPER FAST, SUPER CLEAN & STAFF WAS SUPER FRIENDLY! Thank you!

I NEVER eat fast food but was for some reason craving the original chicken sandwich. Everything was COLD and i got a chocolate shake and it was like pure syrup. Fast food just isn’t like it used to be. I’m gonna eat what I cook for myself from now on. Cheaper and better
Michelle F — Google review
I haven't eaten there in awhile now my reason why is I think they are just to expensive these days as is McDonald's. I'd rather spend the money at a restaurant. I understand that places like these are fast food and you pay for that but I don't think they are fast enough. It's all up to you and what you're willing to pay.
Jason M — Google review
Waited forever to get waited on!! No one acknowledged us till thwy were ready to wait on us. Then looking for a table that was clean to sit at was impossible there was no table at all clean. I think a kid walked through but didn't touch one table. There was a couple managers working. One was getting ready to leave and they all stood around chatting for a good 10 minutes. One employee I heard went on break. As the one manager was leaving she asked how everything was we told her the lobby is filthy and the bathrooms were also. She did go tell them. But I dont know if anyone came out. Thwy didn't when we were there
Angela P — Google review
The burgers were pre-made and dry. The only thing that saved us was that the fries were fresh out of the fryer and delicious.

Amazing visit at BK this morning 0715 am, gentleman worker was great, friendly and fast. Good job !

Food was good but what really upsets me is when I ask for ranch I never receive it. Below is a picture of Hidden Valley Ranch that I had to bum off of a co-worker. Even when they charge me $0.25 per ranch I still never get it. So disappointed, this is not their slogan how can it be my way when you never give me what I ordered.

Ordered 2 meals and 1 kids meal and got all the way home to find that they forgot a whole meal. Definitely check your bag before leaving! No chicken fries for us! 🙃

McDonald's

Fast food restaurant
McDonald's is a timeless fast-food institution celebrated for its iconic burgers and crispy fries. During my recent visit, I experienced a slight hiccup when they initially forgot my milkshakes, but the staff was quick to rectify the mistake without any hassle. Although the service was a bit slow due to high demand, it was understandable given how busy they were.
They forgot our milkshakes but we went back through the line and got them no problem the service was good but kind of slow they were busy though so it's to be expected my son got chicken nuggets and they were perfect.
Eternity L — Google review
This is the worst McDonald’s I have EVER been too. First, I was handed my frappe with it running down the sides. We were asked to pull into a waiting spot which is no issue, but after waiting for 5 minutes our order was wrong. He came back and we did not have our sauces. So I had to go inside to get them. After waiting in line for another 5 minutes, I asked the lady for sauces and she asked if I had placed an order.

Dirtiest play land it makes me so sad. This is usually a nice place to bring the kids for awhile to play in the AC but wow today it was trashed this is the third time we have been here and this is how it’s looked. It’s worse than the bathrooms and those are gross too. He says your food has to be in bags because we have no trays… As he literally walks past all the dirty ones on the trash sitting waiting to be cleaned LOL!
Angael D — Google review
The whole restaurant was filthy. We were here at 6:15am and there are fries from the night before still on the floor. The bathrooms have not been cleaned. Use some stainless cleaner in there too. Wash all the ginger prints off the windows. Like the ones by the seats where the children have licked the windows. The hashbrowns were cold. Having all the napkins, salt, ketchup behind the counter is a inconvenience, especially when you can't ever see an employee. Employee seemed nice enough when I did finally see her.
Every O — Google review
I am not one to leave bad reviews usually but this was a frustrating way to start my day. 1. I ordered my food and asked for a cup of whipped cream (a “pup cup” if you will) and they said they didn’t do that, or they weren’t allowed to - so if that’s an actual rule, management sucks. 2. They asked me to pull forward because they were waiting on my mocha frappe, which is no problem at all, but I ended up waiting over 10 minutes so I assumed they were busy and I went inside. No one was there, no one came to the counter and I waited PLENTY long enough. (Whoever has the door dash order that was waiting on the counter is getting a very melted frappe) so I went through the drive thru again and told them I was waiting on a frappe, they told me to pull up the the window and the lady handed it to me very snotty. I’m not from around here, I was just passing through but note to self to not come here again,
Martha W — Google review
Simply the worst McDonald's dine-in experience ever. Everything is behind the counter. Napkins, ketchup, straws.. everything. They only come to the pickup area when someone's food is ready so I had to stand there for 10 minutes waiting for someone so I could get napkins. Do not ever try to dine in here. This is a shame of a McDonald's.
Jake B — Google review
Garbage around the lobby, the garbage cans were full, napkins are kept behind the counter and the ketchup dispensers didn’t work. The tables weren’t clean, floors are sticky and dirty, food all over the back line like it hasn’t been swept at all today, what showed up of our order seemed alright. The nuggets and fries are old like they have been up for a bit and cold. Staff also seemed very grumpy. Edit. Here’s some photos from when we left. This bag is time stamped for 1:30 on 12/9. these photos are taken at 4:04 pm.

The burgers were so well seasoned with salt and pepper I've ate at a lot of different McDonald's and that was the best burger I've ever had last week from this place 😊
