Love this place. My first time there. Greeted with friendly rewards desk. Staff was so helpful. I loved that it had so many slots, games and awesome food choices. This place is so clean. The slots were pretty loose and I did good. I can't wait to go back. You must check this casino out.

Took a side trip to visit the FireKeepers Casino while staying in Battlecreek MI. Had a good time losing my money as one usually does when visiting a casino. Remember the house always wins. Regardless the sheer volume of machines and varieties was astounding. I do believe I have not seen so many different games in one place outside of Las Vegas than I saw here. I will definitely come back
CNN F — Google review
Well it was our 31st anniversary. Never ever been here. The casino is meh OK. The room as we arrived was clean. We stayed two days. No housekeeping the second day. Guess we’re going back to Covid! Ha! Security that didn’t really know said you godda request housekeeping?? At $189 per night you’d think they would make bed and bring clean towels. Nope no way. Never going back.

Three is my overall rate it'll go up if I win. So gamble responsible people because when you lose your money somebody else is smiling. overall it's a clean facility the staff is pretty friendly the gambling is fun. There's lots to see there and do.

We have never been to FireKeepers Casino before. We had a weekend where we could get away and decided to go and spend the night on property. Property, our room, and the overall Hotel layout were great. Long story short, we were very disappointed with the casino gaming floor area. The flow on the floor was a cluster. No rhyme or reason. It's like they built the casino, and added new wings where ever they could find the space. It is huge, but again very confusing as to where to start, play, etc. We hunted for iver any hour before we found a drink station! Also we had to stop someone that worked there as to how we could find rewards registration as new guests. It was on the opposite side of the casino floor! Im guessing about 2 city blocks away. We decided to call it a night after an hour, so we checked out the on site restaurants. Again, another long story short, we decided to leave property and go to a chain steak house in Battle Creek. The property restaurants had many of the same options, and at REDICULOUS prices. $19 for a plain burger. Anything else added to the meal was ala carte. We actually save money by leaving property, and got steak instead of a burger and fries. Maybe it is just us, but it was not a fun experience as we had hoped it would have been. We ended up spending most of the evening in our room watching Netflix. Sorry Firekeepers. I highly doubt we'll return.
Grant H — Google review
We always have a great time at Firekeepers! We don’t always win but always have excellent food and service. We have been coming to the Halloween party for quite a few years now and look forward to it each year! The Italian Grinder at Dacy’s is worth the drive! Thank you so much!! 🙏

This is the worst experience ever. Such a nice hotel should never allow such thing. My cats didn't work after coming down to front desk twice trying to activate the key and still not working, they said they are sending someone to fix it. I left waiting for 30 minutes like a homeless with no one helping. Came down again angry, no apology, only saying they are trying to get to it. We'll, I am tired and my stuff in the room and I am standing for 30 minutes in a hope for that to be fixed. Finally service guy showed up, it turned out the key was the reason and they couldn't figure it out at the front desk despite me going down 3 times to get it checked. Ruined the whole night and planned to watch the game and sleep early for work next day. Disgusting. I wish I can give service lower rating than that. Didn't even bother apologizing for a mistake they did
Fady S — Google review
We stayed in a renovated room and the are gorgeous! Feels like Vegas! The casino is smoke-free so it doesn't get any better. There are many restaurants around the casino and a fairly large sports betting area as well as table games. The slot floor is huge and it appears more than 80% of the machines are newer.

Such a beautiful park, we didn't even get to explore the whole park. I would definitely go back. They had a good amount of picnic tables. They have a park for the kids. Good parking. And such beautiful nature. Bring some snacks for the chipmunks 😊💟

Clara's on the River is an American eatery located in a charming circa-1888 building that used to be the Michigan Central Train Station. The restaurant boasts a vast menu, offering everything from burgers to zucchini noodles, and is known for its delightful French Onion Soup and amazing yeast rolls. The interior is adorned with antique furniture and Tiffany stained-glass lamps, creating a nostalgic ambiance.
A Top notch staff tells me people like their job, they must love working here. The service is excellent. We came for the Sunday brunch. It is mainly breakfast items, but everything is fresh and hot. We both had made-to-order omelettes. There's a good selection of toppings for freshly made mini waffles. They do have tossed salad, sausage, bacon, potatoes and anything else you'd expect for a buffet. To finish it all off, some desert items. Come hungry, it's well worth the price. Thank you Clara's for an outstanding Easter brunch buffet!!
Dan B — Google review
My recent Sunday morning visit to Clara's on the River was amazing! Arriving at 11:30 AM, the restaurant was not too busy and I was seated immediately. I chose their buffet, which was good priced at around $19. There was a wide selection to chose from; eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, and gravy, plus unique additions like mac n' cheese and a standout ham and cheese croissant fried in a funnel cake-like batter. There were also 2 food stations; an omelet station where you can customize your creation, and a waffle station allowing for personalized toppings. The dessert table was just as good; donuts, cream puffs, cake, and more. Service was top-notch; staff were friendly, attentive, and refilled drinks without asking. It's a great spot for families. Be aware that it does get busier around noon on Sundays, so plan accordingly. A truly enjoyable breakfast experience!

Me and my Good Brother stopped in this evening before our annual Brass Band concert the food was exquisite however it palled in comparison to Kelly’s service skills and smile she made the dining experience worth more then anything the menus can ever hope to offer. Great job Kelly Thank you for being Fabulous.

Lovely restaurant with a deep history, it's like visiting a museum. The food was lovely and delicious and well priced. The service was efficient and friendly. All in all, a great dining experience with a unique historical experience to go with it. My daughter loved it so much she even left them a picture that they hung up, which was nice of them, it made her day.

In town for work, and was recommend this place. It surely didn't disappoint. The food selection was grand and the food itself was amazing. James from the bar sure knows how to make a succulent amaretto sour too.... so good, I had to go over meet the person who made my drink. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. I will return when in Battle Creek again.

This may have been the last time I take my family to Clara's.. Out of the six of us, 2 dinners were sub par. The pictures are of my $32 porterhouse steak.. very thin and no flavor. Reminds me of what I expected from the old Ponderosa steakhouse for $12.99. This was brought to me after everybody had been served in my group. They were eating when the waitress came to me and told me there was a problem with my first ordered meal, they were going to have to remake it. My uncle ordered the perch dinner, he remarked was possibly the worst perch he is ever eaten. We asked for the manager to discuss this with him. Our waitress came back and offered us one dessert, evidently a common tactic to try to resolve an issue. A $5 dessert. We would have preferred to speak to the manager and show him the deficiencies. Very disappointed.

Amazing place for a nice romantic dinner. Sitting by the river in a beautiful park, with great food and excellent service. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a nice romantic outing or a quiet dinner with beautiful surroundings.

I was able to have my first burger (with a good gluten free bun) in over a year. It was fantastic! I only gave 4 stars because ny hubs is a picky fish eater and sadly I couldn't handle the gluten cross contamination with the fries. That being said both the server and the wonderful woman that brought the food made sure I knew the fries shared the same oil as gluten products. I am not celiac so it is ok for me to roll the dice a little. I LOVED our server, she was adorable and sooo sweet without being fake and attentive without being overbearing. The building is so cool. Definitely check it out.

The dining experience at Smoke 'N Fire, a barbecue restaurant, was delightful. The 10oz Salmon with bourbon glaze and two accompaniments, Asparagus and Mashed Potatoes, were particularly enjoyable. The ambiance of the establishment was pleasant, and the staff members were kind and welcoming. Firekeepers Casino Hotel is highly recommended for its fantastic cuisine, excellent service, and overall enjoyable atmosphere.
Beautiful restaurant, staff was so friendly and sweet. Very prompt and helpful. The food was amazing. We loved the flavor of the brisket and I think their collard greens and prosciutto is the best. Flavor and firmness. It wasn't busy when we came, but it has been in the past. We always enjoy our visit and the food is always phenomenal.
Mykell M — Google review
Our 1st time here and we had high hopes. We were sadly disappointed with the red beans and rice. They were both DRY as ever! They did have potential to be good because the flavor was there. Our brisket was also very dry and lacking some bbq sauce but the white sauce that was on the toasted bun made it edible. The mac and cheese did not disappoint and the bread pudding was perfect! So for visiting on a Saturday for a 7:30 dinner we expected to be blown away. Sorry smoke house maybe next time?? Our waitress was phenomenal!
Toni M — Google review
Had a nice anniversary dinner at Smoke N Fire restaurant! The Front Desk agent at the hotel highly recommended this place. We had an early dinner, so it wasn’t busy and we didn’t have to wait to be seated! Our waitress wasn’t memorable for such a fancy restaurant, but the food was scrumptious! Oh my goodness…the pork chop cooked to perfection and those collard greens melted in your mouth! If I wasn’t going into the casino after dinner, I would have order some collards go! The hubby ordered chicken & Mac n Cheese, he said it was good. We would visit again if we are ever in the casino again.
Haile H — Google review
Great place to grab a meal while visiting! My honest opinion...alot of the sides and extras you can order are Amazing... The Fried Green Tomatoes are by far my favorite! The BBQ is above basic by far. Not the best I've ever had But, not the worst either! Lol

Very good ribeye steak. For dessert strawberry tiramisu cake was delicious, with cup of coffee.

We had breakfast at Smoke 'N Fire before heading home. The service was friendly and quick. Our food was hot and fresh. Their breakfast menu isn't very big but there are a lot of different options for eggs and toast. We would really like to come back here for dinner sometime.
Cody W — Google review
First of all the entrance is on the hotel side. Go in the hotel entrance and the restaurant is to the left. The atmosphere here is very casino. Shocker, it being in a casino. Everything thing is very colorful. That's not a bad thing, just a little in your face. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich ($16). The Sandwich consist of Spicy coleslaw, house-made pickles, fried onions, house-made bbq sauce. The Sandwich is a pretty sandwich. However the taste left a lot to want for. It's not a bad sandwich it's just very average. The bun was a cheap bun that easily falls apart, it does taste decent though. The spicy coleslaw was ehh and fried onions untastable.the bbq sauce doesn't stand out. The pulled pork was tender and again tasted average. I upgraded the side for $2 to the Carolina Baked Beans. They were not good. Maybe it's the carolina. I LOVE baked beans and I didn't finish these. By far the best thing was the pickles. Slightly spicy and delicious. The service was excellent. Super friendly and efficient. They did a great job keeping my drink full. Overall a 3 star review. It could have been a two, however service was excellent and the food overall was average, so 3 seems right. Would I return? No. I don't live close and while the other food is probably much better, if a bbq place can't do a simple pulled pork well, it's a pass to me.
Chris H — Google review
Excellent food and service. We tried the other restaurant but there was an hour wait on Friday night (we didn’t have reservations) and I was starving. So we walked over to Smoke ‘N Fire and were given a 10-15 minute estimate for a table. Much better. We were greeted with pleasant small talk and seated in a neat little nook. Husband and I shared the Michigan salad (delicious) and I got the 6oz filet mignon with corn casserole and asparagus; he got 10oz beef brisket with cheesy grits and collard greens. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The corn casserole is what dreams are made of - crispy outside, creamy texture inside with corn and a touch of sweetness. I’ll be dreaming of this til I find it again. The collard greens were cooked to the stage just before mush and had a nice kick to it. The corn grits were creamy, cheesy and a bit peppery. Overall I really enjoyed the atmosphere, politeness of all the staff, and the top notch food.

I came here for lunch with a couple co-workers. We are all from elsewhere. It was a little busy, but we were seated promptly. Service was friendly and attentive. We all agreed that we each had a fantastic lunch. I had the steak salad with green goddess dressing. It was perhaps the only salad I've had of which I wish I could have seconds. The steak was cooked (I requested rare) and seasoned perfectly. If I have the opportunity to come back through Battle Creek, I would make sure that I stop by Malia again.

AN AMAZING FIND when traveling through the area. The WILD MUSHROOM entree with GLUTEN FREE pasta was SUPERB. The flavors of the sauce was exceptional. It was enough for two meals. They also served GRASS FED beef, WILD SALMON, and ORGANIC butter. Great chief and very attentive wait staff. LOVED THIS PLACE. Had dinner at 3pm with lunch prices until 4pm. Pricey but we'll worth it for QUALITY food.

Very good service and food im a regular atleast 2 or 3 times a week if not everyday on my way to work very polite, friendly and professional if i could i would give them more them 5 stars always clean have never had an issue with none of the employees and very prompt on your order
George C — Google review
Update: Employees remain unprofessional, pay more attention to other and not the one who's sandwich they are making, and often do not take making a sandwich seriously. Seems to always have some sort of family drama with an employee every time I am there. And they build sandwiches as if the last inch on both ends are only meant to be bread. Lost another star. Staffing always changes, never anything or anyone consistent, and the employees are not always social. Everyone just seems to go thru the motions. More times than not, the employees are unprofessional in one way or another.

My "Son" and I were out in a date. After leaving the Library we stopped into Downtown Subway to get a bite. We sat down to eat, there were also 2 other customers eating at desperate tables. 1/2 way through our sandwich, we were told in (very RUDE manor)," we are closed you Ladies need to leave." First of all my 9 year old son is Not a Lady! I was in mid bite, putting on my sweater. I saw them preparing to close! We were rushed out without even being able to wrap up our sandwich. As were being ushered out the other customer was exciting the restroom, I'm not sure if he was rushed out without grabbing his belongings. If they were not allowing customers to eat in, why was I not told this before I ordered or sat down? Never have I been treated so so rude!!! P.S. this was our 2nd visit to this Subway this week!! Never Again!!!

Nestled in a cozy corner, McGonigle's Pub & Grill is an inviting Irish-themed pub that perfectly blends comfort food with a laid-back atmosphere. We're from fort wayne but I would definitely go in there again just for the dogs alone. Onion rings the size of Dunkin donuts cooked crispy and delicious.

This restaurant is one star sad tale of woe. But let me start from the beginning. Occasionally my wife will pick a city about one or two hours drive our home to take a leisurely drive to a restaurant she will pick. Sort of a gastronomic adventure. She usually looks at the google reviews then the menu. In this case she for some reason neglected to look at the reviews and instead went to the menu. It had smelt which she likes, so we went there. The drive was nice as it was great September day. Our first inclination of undesirability was that it was across from a gravel and concrete recycling place. Outside it looked ok, but I asked her to check the reviews again. She said she forgot and we looked and it only had 4.3 stars. We have learned that going to a restaurant with less than 4.6 stars is sometimes gastronomic roulette. Nevertheless, we decided to soldier on. We were greeted by doors with dirty glass. We were told to sit anywhere so we took a booth away from the bar area. We next heard a loud scream of “go packers” from a person at the bar that continued yelling in what appeared to be a drunken state. My wife ordered smelt and French onion soup. I ordered the steak, a salad and what they had listed as a loaded baked potato that came with scallions cheese and bacon. My wife received her soup and at the bottom was a plastic lid of the type you receive condiments in. The waitress replaced it with another bowl that seemed ok. Her smelt seemed sort of average. She had coffee in a sad water (and maybe something gruesome) slobbered on the side. We ordered ann onion blossom that was ok. My salad was a bit of iceberg lettuce and some shredded cheese. The baked potato was ok but there were none of the advertised scallions. The waitress forgot silverware so we just grabbed it from another table. When we opened the napkin the silverware had water spots and possibly some remnants of past meals. The steak was cooked correctly but the meat was tough with lots of grizzle. With all that a one star review is in order although we left the waitress a 30% tip for good service.

Dirty ! Floors were gross, dead fly’s in the dusty windows, had to keep waving flys that were still alive away from our food, was extremely hot inside…….BUT the food was delicious!! I had a chicken tenders basket, my daughter had one of the chicken wraps and we also shared some fried mushrooms. They were excellent. Everything was hot and fresh. A little pricey. Paid $52 and that included a tip.

I walked in and sat down without the hostess…she was busy. Within minutes I had 3 waitresses check in with me, one took my drink order, the third took my food order. This is called excellent team work! Thank you ladies. The waitress are always pleasant and work together to ensure you are cared for. Now for the food…it wasn’t long before the food came out piping hot…and delicious! We come here often and enjoy the experience every time!

My husband and I were told to seat ourselves, which we did. There were other people in the section we were in and, the waitress made eye contact with me but, never came over to us. We sat there for 25 minutes, we still were not greeted or given menus. Go to Finley's instead. Better food and amazing service!

Great Irish Pub. My family had a smelt basket, a barbeque pork sandwich, and a chicken wrap. Large portions, hot. Of course, being Irish, I had to have a Guinness.

I really enjoy going here. The food is great, especially their beef stew and onion rings. The is place is always clean and vibrant. The staff is friendly and keeps my coke filled at the bar without asking why only coke. The prices are not inexpensive but not excessive. Mid-range. I eat here at least 1-2 times a month and will keep going back. Note: Ample parking. Wheelchairs might have some tight fits. Large dining area away from the subdued bar for families. Lots of TV's for game watching. (UPDATE 9/14/25 - Their prime rib with two sides on Thursdays is both delicious and a good value. Generous portions at two very fairly priced sizes.)

For day 2, we recommend exploring the south side side of town. Start the day off with Binder Park Zoo, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Lakeview Square Mall. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Outdoor Activities
Discover the wonders of wildlife at Binder Park Zoo, a sprawling 433-acre zoo in Battle Creek, Michigan. With over 600 specimens from around the world, visitors can embark on an adventure to see giraffes and other fascinating animals. The zoo offers a free Wilderness Tram that transports guests to the Wild Africa exhibit where big cats and various African species reside. Additionally, visitors can take a break by riding the Conservation Carousel or exploring the Z.O.&O Railroad through the forest.
What a unique medium sized zoo! Went as soon as they opened on a Wednesday so it wasn’t so busy. Took us about 2-3 hours to walk the entire zoo. Got to feed giraffes, (For a fee) but was so worth it. Plenty of animals and educational displays. They have definitely modified the zoo over the years so more folks with wheelchairs can enjoy the zoo too. It was about $20 per person to get in, definitely worth it.

We had such a fun family day at Binder Park Zoo! This was my little man’s very first zoo experience, and he loved looking around at all the animals. We were lucky that so many of them were out and active, which made it extra exciting. The highlight for us was definitely the safari section—feeding the giraffes is such a unique and memorable experience. Our little guy wasn’t quite ready to feed them himself (maybe next time! 😅), but he loved watching mom and dad do it. The train ride out to the safari was nice, though we did have to wait a bit since only one was running, but it wasn’t too bad. After exploring, we decided to walk back instead of waiting again, which was a nice option to have. We also really appreciated the wide variety of animals and how much space the zoo has. It does mean a bit more walking compared to some other zoos, but it makes the exhibits feel more open and enjoyable. Visiting on a Friday morning was perfect since it wasn’t busy at all, which gave us plenty of time and space to enjoy everything. Overall, we had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back when our little man is a bit older to experience it all over again. Highly recommend Binder Park Zoo for families looking for a fun day out!

First time visiting this zoo, we had a such a great time! We got to interact with giraffes, which are my favorite, and my kids love the train ride. Everything was very clean, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The walk through all the nature was perfect and we really enjoyed the whole experience. The dinosaur section is a must for families with young kids, they will love it! We’ll definitely be back.

My recent visit to Binder Park Zoo was a blast, and I highly recommend it! The park is a good size, with a great variety of animals to see. I was thrilled to feed a cassowary and a giraffe, was a cool experience. Beyond the animal exhibits, the zoo offers some fantastic activities. I had a great time on the obstacle course, which was a blast for an extra $17. The carousel was a fun classic touch, too. Overall, it was a fantastic day out. The zoo is well-maintained, the animals are impressive, and the extra activities make it even more enjoyable.
Matthew M — Google review
We are a family with young kids and this experience was a blast. It’s not like some zoos where all animals are sleeping or in the back being fed. The bears, lions, giraffe , etc were all active. The giraffe exhibit was nearly a safari park type set up where we could feed them for $2 … super fun and highly recommend!
Patrick T — Google review
Great place, especially during the week it’s less crowded. It’s nice that the animals there have decent sized areas for them to roam ( if you compare it to spaces like the Detroit zoo). Not as many animals, but more open views as opposed to looking through plexiglass to view them. The lion training experience is great to do; the lions are awake and actively roaming. It’s not by the freeway, letting you enjoy more sounds of nature and the animals.
Andrea P — Google review
We thoroughly enjoyed the visit. We also had some really good conversations with the staff. We took our time and spent about 4 hours just walking around and seeing the exhibits. It was really cool being able to see the animals up close, especially in the Africa area. Would highly recommend a visit.

Binder Park is a nice place to take small children. Not a zoo I would travel from another state for though. Great for kids between 1 and 6. They have a nice dinosaur area and carousel. They also have a giraffe feeding platform that's cool. The new Skylark ropes course/zip line is super cool. My 4 yr old nephew loved the Little Lark course. The courses are not included with general admission. Overall, it's a fun day for little kids. The grounds are in need of attention. It isn't awful, but landscaping and general maintenance seems to be lacking.

The auto center at Walmart Supercenter is known for its attentive customer service and skilled technicians. They offer excellent services at affordable prices, surpassing other auto shops in terms of quality and cost. Many customers regret not having utilized their services earlier, especially after unpleasant experiences elsewhere. As a popular alternative to Uncle Ed's oil change, Walmart Supercenter has become a preferred choice for maintaining vehicles in good condition.
Good selection and really good prices. I like this Walmart, they do their best at Customer Service and deliveries. I know their jobs aren’t easy especially with so much walking to do anything, but they do a great job with keeping everything running smoothly and looking nice and well stocked. Decent selection of frozen vegetarian/ vegan food options and some of the prices on those are really good. I also like that they have some really good clearance deals. Thanks for your hard work guys!!! 😁👍🏼🙏🏻😇🙏🏻

I’ve had nothing but positive experiences at the Walmart in Battle Creek. The store is always clean, well-organized, and fully stocked with everything I need—from groceries and home essentials to clothing and electronics. I’m consistently impressed by how easy it is to find what I’m looking for, and the signage makes navigating the store a breeze. What really sets this location apart, though, is the staff. Every time I shop here, I’m greeted with friendly smiles and helpful service. The associates go above and beyond to assist, whether it’s helping me track down a specific item or recommending a better deal. The checkout process is smooth and efficient, whether I’m using self-checkout or working with a cashier. I also really appreciate the online order pickup service. It’s fast, convenient, and has saved me countless hours. My orders are always accurate, and the associates bring everything out quickly and with a great attitude. This Walmart clearly takes pride in their customer service and store upkeep, and it shows. It’s become my go-to for just about everything. Whether I’m doing a full grocery haul or just popping in for a few items, I leave feeling satisfied and taken care of. Five stars all the way! ---

I am a person that does deliveries to make extra money in my free time and when I have time to spare in between things, I have to do when you show up for curbside delivery at Walmart. You never know how long you’re gonna wait. They seem to rush to fill their drivers up who also get reimbursed if their time is wasted by having to wait too long. I work for Roadie. They won’t let me cancel when it’s taking too long ever I never get reimbursed so I’ve made multiple trips to Walmart in about 30% of those trips. I don’t get paid back for the gas I’ve wasted and the time I’ve drove there and then wait like 20 minutes to an hour to pick up packages to deliver people when they’re filling people up that show up within five minutes. How’s this fair at all to anybody?

Horrocks Farm Market, located at 5801 Beckley Rd, Battle Creek, MI 49014, is a unique grocery store offering an extensive selection of produce, a soup/salad/sandwich bar, and a beer & wine bar for customers to enjoy while they shop. Visitors rave about the variety of products available that can't be found elsewhere. The market also offers great deals on plants and features a well-organized layout.
This store is quite unique inside with pinatas hanging from the ceiling throughout the store. If you are overwhelmed easily, this store isn't for you as it's extremely hectic with people everywhere, narrow aisles, and crazy colors everywhere. I simply walked through it and walked right back out. Seems they have a large variety with some international foods as well.
Alex B — Google review
Look at street view or satellite view and you'll see what a transformation has happened here. The location has gone from being a fossil to a vibrant marketplace. We think this is the best of the Horrocks locations, but we like the others too. It's a little bit like going on a trip around the world on a very low budget.

How often do you find a grocery store where you can drink beer while you shop? Not to mention an airplane hanging from the ceiling. I love the variety of the market here and all of the international items you can find. I get some Japanese drinks, Indian curries and pasta noodles here that I like. They also have an amazing craft beer selection. It's worth a visit just to wander around and look if you've never been.

Huge place with a nice selection. I love getting my veggies from here when Im traveling fro the other side of the state. I wish there was one in Flint.

I really like this store. The ambiance is nice. The flowers are pretty. And the array of things you can buy is unmatched. Walking around with a beer while shopping, excellent! The olive oil selection, sea food, scores of bakery goods, salad bar, all the things! 💥 However, my only concern is the bathroom. Those are dimly lit and are in need of* A LOT* of ATTENTION & SEVERE INTENSE DEEP CLEANING. I like how there’s toilet seat covers. But I will not regale you with the repulsive details in the stall I went in. Not a good look. Especially, with such a great store. This was not their finest moment. 💥 I sincerely hope that it gets much needed attention. I’ll try to not have to use that part of the store upon my next return visit.

What do crocodile, beer on tap, dozens of homemade soups, dragon fruit, camel, 7 kinds of sweet potatoes, oil and vinegar on tap, F-R-O-G Jam, a garden center, wraps and sandwiches, sushi, groceries, live music, pickled beets, exotic mushrooms and venison have in common? You can find them all at Horrocks. A new kind of shopping experience, like a farmers market meets a Whole Foods, meets a Nursery, meets a pub.
Nate B — Google review
Horrocks Market in Battle Creek, is truly a gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with an incredible selection of fresh produce, specialty foods, wine, beer, and unique items you won’t find anywhere else. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the store itself is clean, organized, and full of charm. Whether you’re shopping for everyday groceries, grabbing a fresh coffee or popcorn, or exploring their amazing variety of products, it’s always a fun experience. Horrocks is hands down one of the best markets around!

Lakeview Square Mall

Shopping mall
Lakeview Square Mall is a delightful shopping destination nestled in Battle Creek, Michigan, boasting over 100 stores that cater to various tastes. While it may have some vacancies, the mall remains vibrant with a selection of well-maintained shops and eateries. Visitors can enjoy a movie at the on-site theater or challenge themselves at the escape room for an added thrill. The atmosphere is bright and inviting, making it perfect for leisurely strolls or casual browsing.
Dunham's, Barnes & Noble, Horrocks, Applebee's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Encore Shoe Dept, GNC, Kay Jewelers, NCG Cinema, and Buckle are the only "name brand" stores left inside the mall. Without counting, it seems to be about 75% empty storefronts, along with a few stores I didn't recognize. There's also an indoor skatepark called Battleground Action Sports. Otherwise, this mall is great for mall walkers, not so great for shopping. Lots and lots of emptiness.
Alex B — Google review
This place is a ghost town, there is a Buffalo Wild Wings and movie theater at one end of the mall, and at the other end is a Dunhams, Barns and Nobles and a Horrocks store. Everything in between looks like a ghost town. These stores are closed. No santa this December at the mall, no people either. This place is empty. That being said this place is perfect to come to on cold days and get some steps in. But other than getting your walk on this place is worse than Binder Park Zoo and that is the worst zoo in MI.

Frank M — Google review
Went to Horrocks and Barnes and Nobles...the mall is pretty dead these days...it's sad to see it. Was cool to see that they added a skate park in the mall as well! My only complaint is the parking in front of Horrocks...why would you put a Texas Roadhouse right there in front of a business?? Makes no sense!
Cloud97 S — Google review
There is so much unused space available for new business. The ironic thing I see is a new Olive Garden (just completed and now open) and a new Texas Roadhouse (currently under construction) sitting in the parking lot area instead of in the mall itself. It makes no sense to me. I feel like it is not the way to attract indoor foot traffic. Perhaps there is a plan I don’t yet know. I do like the addition of Horrock’s Farm Market, Nursery and Beer Garden. It definitely added something positive. I pray that there will be more.
Capt C — Google review
A great mall that has some vacancies though. Still has a good amount of stores and a few restaurants. There’s also a movie theater and an escape room! Bright and clean mall! Plenty of parking and things to do. Very safe and secure! The employees are friendly! Lots of nearby attractions, restaurants and stores as well! Definitely worth a trip to eat, shop and have fun!
A E — Google review
It's mostly empty, but I love the theater and it has Horrocks and Barnes and Nobles. The best part, though, is the indoor skate park! Occasionally they offer children's lessons, which is super cool.
Kelley S — Google review
The mall is mostly empty with Horrocks and Applebee's/Buffalo Wild Wings as anchors on opposite ends. I miss it being full but that is no longer a thing. The movie theater is still a draw. They are adding satellite restaurants around the parking lot.

Chicken wings restaurant
Buffalo Wild Wings is a popular chain that specializes in serving up an array of delicious wings, tenders, and burgers. With a variety of sauces to choose from—ranging from sweet to fiery hot—there's something for every palate. Their menu features options like boneless or pulled chicken served with cheddar-jack cheese, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and house-made tortilla chips with salsa.
What you expect at BBW. I sat out on the patio to ease my eyes from the screens and my ears from the music. I wonder sometimes...do corporate food businesses really think the customers need that many screens and loud music to enjoy good wings? Anyway...that is not a reflection of this particular location. I did give you a 5 star reviews so my comments should not reflect on your rating. Your staff did a good job.
Larry M — Google review
I placed a pickup order and drove 20 minutes to get there. When I arrived, they handed me the bag and I left, trusting everything was correct. But when I sat down to eat, I realized the order was completely wrong: I had ordered two triple burgers with two fries, and they gave me two double burgers and no fries at all. No explanation, no apology. Very disappointing I won’t be coming back.

I was blown Away by this visit!! I actually got nice meaty wings that were cooked perfectly and perfectly saucey!! I'm impressed, keep it up!! Only reason for 4 stars, the side salad has gone WAY downhill, mostly iceberg with some romaine stems, and Very light pink tomato slices.... it used to be all dark green with dark red tomato quarters and fresh parmesan slices, such a shame!!

My daughter and I along with another couple who were waiting prior to us coming in, waited for about 15 minutes before being seated, there were possibly 10 or more tables open. The staff members just walked by and never looked at those of us waiting to be seated. 4 people were sitting at the bar. When we received our order, the wings looked as they died of starvation, the celery was rubbery, and we didn't request new items because everyone was too busy walking around, trying to look busy.
Randy J — Google review
Today was a terrible experience! While we didn’t stay to eat the hostess informed us they were doing shift change and although there were plenty of empty tables they didn’t k ow who would be on staff to serve us so it would be some time before we would be seated. Now normally BWs is a good place to have some wings but honestly I was hungry and felt if they didn’t have a better handle on their process I would go someplace else - Olive Garden was accommodating and we sat down immediately- next time maybe we will get our wings!

The smash burger was pretty good. The fries were inedible, they were so salty. My drink had a pretty large bug inbeded in the fruit. I'd eat a burger there again but I'd skip the fries and the old fashioned.

Went there in middle of the day. Workers took too long time to find table where we can sit. Some of them was dirty and not clean, other was empty and as they said - reserved (almost half ot the table in restaurant was reserved). Took them time to came to us so we can order. Within time of wait, multiple tables was dirty and they didn't clean any, despite the fact that we definitely waited around 20 minutes if not more. Atmosphere was off, workers mostly was doing their own things instead of pay attention to work. Wings was fine, but french fries was too hard and more like a cracker, which was not very appetite.

Starbucks, the iconic Seattle-based coffeehouse chain, has become a staple in many communities, often found on nearly every corner. Known for its signature roasts and light snacks, it also offers convenient WiFi for those looking to work or relax. The menu is ever-evolving with trendy items like pink drinks and seasonal blends that keep customers coming back for more. One of the locations in Harper Village features a drive-thru option, making it easy to grab your favorite beverage on the go.
The staff were very friendly, we went inside and they were speedy with making our drinks, the space was clean and well kept, all their items were stocked, and over all a great experience. They do have a drive thru and offer ordering through the mobile app.

The lady working the counter was rude. I’ve always scan by rewards in while ordering and apparently I froze the system when doing this. Which the total for the order was already up. It didn’t freeze it long enough 10 seconds or less… the attitude we got was uncalled for in customer service… it makes me appreciate my hometown Starbucks employees…

Every single time I go here they mess up my coffee drink order. It ALWAYS taste like water coffee. I’m never a person to complain but when I spend 6$ for a drink and every time they mess it up then something needs to be said. Every other Starbucks makes my drink perfectly fine. I’ve decided I’m done going here. If you want any type of latte or espresso do NOT go here…. Like it doesn’t even look like the right color….

Extremely unsatisfied after the remodel/update. I'm not sure if the new Frappuccino machine is too difficult or what but every. Single. Time. I come here my order is wrong. I've tried to give more chances but I'm let down every time. $7 everyday. It's extremely expensive to waste on drinks when i truly don't mind spending the money if my order, that i place via mobile app, was correct. It literally has the ingredients on the sticker, on the cup. The Starbucks on Columbia has it together! Might have to start driving out of my way to get a correct drink.
Casey M — Google review
I used to order via the app for pickup 5-6 days a week at the Beckley Rd location. It’s been awhile and I had even forgotten that I was told it was closed for remodeling, until I walked in and saw the esthetic changes. Previously, I was only ever greeted and thanked 1 out of 30 times. I felt like a Starbucks this morning. 6 employees, not a single customer in lobby or drive through. I was only greeted by loud (weird) music and seeing slow, almost robotic employees moving about doing a whole lot of nothing except talking about one of the employee’s ailments of sorts. Granted, there may have been other orders via app for pickup, but 15 minutes wait in an empty coffee shop is ridiculous. No sense of urgency. No “hello” or “thank you.” You can put lipstick on a sloth, but it still a sloth…..
Curt J — Google review
Picked up a Matcha Frappuccino as well as a Christmas Blend coffee and the service was quite efficient for as busy as they were. Sadly the counters were disgusting with debris everywhere, even worse where they put your drinks for pickup. We tried to use their restrooms as we've been traveling, and they were locked and no one seemed to be able to help us.
Lorri P — Google review
I generally love Starbucks however since this location has reopened from their remodel it has been terrible. I’ve gone there several times and each time the coffee has been awful. It’s either watery or taste burnt. Yesterday I spent $9 on one cup of coffee, took two sips and threw it out because it was so bad. It tastes like they either burnt it or need to clean their equipment. I’m disappointed that it’s gotten so bad since they reopened.

Restaurant
Chili's Grill & Bar is a delightful family-friendly restaurant that brings together the best of Tex-Mex and American cuisine in a vibrant Southwestern-style atmosphere. Diners can indulge in classic favorites like their renowned Baby Back Ribs, Crispy Chicken Crispers, and Jalapeno-Cheddar Smoked Sausage, all served with delicious sides such as roasted street corn and garlic toast.
We were advised upon arrival that they were short of kitchen staff, so the food might take longer than usual. This ended up not being the case. Our drinks were always replaced before they were empty, the food was timely and fresh, and our waitress (Nicki) was FANTASTIC!! She was friendly, professional, and accommodating. She was knowledgeable of the menu and kept busy without neglecting her customers. 12/3 visit was much less impressive in regards to service. I had to get up and get my own silverware and straw after requesting it twice. It would be safe to say we saw our waitress every 20 minutes or so and received more attention from the staff who was running her food. I wish we had requested a different section. 1/28 visit - service was terrible. We had to ask multiple times for the same things. We were walked past several times by our waitress before she even took our drink order. I think it would be safe to say that we will not be back to this location unless something changes dramatically.

Had a great meal and visit with a great friend. Was able to sit and visit and catch up. Salad tasted great, I ordered minus the corn salsa, and they gave me plain tomatoes instead. Very accommodating, friendly and helpful staff.

Food is always amazing!! Our Waitress Lex Was amazing. She has great energy! We didn’t have to wait on anything, she was ready with refills, to go boxes. She is just all around awesome!!!

We visited Chili’s after a funeral service, and the care the staff took was excellent. Ryan, the general manager went above and beyond. The food was delicious, the staff was attentive, and the atmosphere perfect for breaking bread with family during a difficult time.

I've dined in and have gotten take out from this location before with no complaints. But on my last visit I experienced several issues, one of which being extremely rude service from a staff member. I had placed a to go order through the app and there was an issue with it that lead to me spending multiple calls and about 20 minutes on the phone with the restaurant. This is just unfortunate and not this locations fault. What I take issue with is being treated poorly by staff and intentionally ignored waiting for my pick up order. A staff member served people in line behind me, so blatantly ignoring me that they felt bad enough to offer me their chips and salsa. After verbally saying something, I received the dirtiest look with disgust before finally, begrudgingly, being served. I really hope this employee was just having a bad day and this was a one off. I'm just not sure why I was treated so poorly.

Ran out of Honey Chipotle sauce. We come specifically for the triple Dipper with the HC crispers. Very disappointing and then he was on the spot to pick something different and then regretted the choice. Seems like these days an auto inventory ordering system would be in place. Not sure who dropped the ball on that one lol but service was good and what we got was still decent. Just very bummed that we couldn't count on the consistency we usually get with Chilis.

Ordered the chicken sandwich was raw in the center, I also ordered a kid Mac n cheese for my sister it looked bone dry no milk no butter no salt basically just dry Mac with colored yellow flour. The service is really great though they are very kind.

Very busy Friday night 9-26-25. We were sat at the bar because the hostesses seemed a little confused about where to seat us. They had tables, but they were not clean, so they asked us to sit at the bar. Weird choice for us as we don't drink, and were there for dinner menu items. Many people had long waits for food. I was shocked when our food arrived first over others that had obviously been waiting since before our arrival.

Pizza restaurant
Delivery Restaurant
Fox's Pizza Den is a relaxed chain that offers unique pizzas in various sizes, alongside sandwiches, salads, and sides. While it may not be the ultimate favorite pizza spot for some, it still ranks among the top ten choices. As someone who considers themselves a pizza aficionado, they decided to opt for dining in rather than ordering from Dominos again. Fortunately, they were not disappointed and plan on making the extra effort to return.
The pizza was awesome. The owner was really pleasant to talk to. The waitress was really cool. Probably some of the best pizzas I’ve had in years. Don’t hesitate to go there prices are really really good. Also, thank you for your hospitality.
Cliff G — Google review
If the pizza wasn't as good as it is this wouldn't be a two star review, it would be a one star. I can't complain about the pizza. It's one of the best pizzas in town. However, the rest of their food options are sub par for the price. Garlic parm wings would be good if they were not just coated on one side. The ingredients for their grinders appear to be bulk food. I think the BLTs were made with beacon bits. Their onion rings are clearly frozen and heated up, but they cost as much as surrounding restaurants hand dipped onion rings. The service is fine, but I think the manager was a teenager. No legal adults appeared to be in the building. Which brings us to why the dining area appeared to be a dual purpose storage area. There were delivery magnet signs on the floor, and stuck to the side of their soda cooler. There was a non-operational peice of kitchen equipment. The soda machine was out of ice, and a you had to scoop out ice from a second Ice machine on the floor, which I watched a customer scoop out ice with both the scoop and his hand, dirty hands mind you. The tables had a film on them, and the floors and base boards where visibly dirty. There were stains on the wall where it appeared someone had written there name with a condiment, and they didn't bother to repaint. The staff all had flour and sauce stains on their cloths. This looks like a combination of very poor management, and a business owner who cares more about cost savings than they do about providing a quality dinning experience. Unless something changes,we won't be back. Too bad the pizza doesn't make up for. The unkempt environment.

Fox’s Pizza Den is a great place to order pizza. The pizza’s are delicious and delivery is quick. They have Cauliflower and Gluten free crusts for those that need something gluten free. They also have other items on the menu if you need a change of pace.

Pizza is our Friday night thing, but we have just found Fox's pizza den and they have got a repeat customer with us. Ordered delivery. Driver had a little trouble finding us, but called and was very apologetic. He got to is quickly, was super nice and assured is the food was still warm. Pizza was still hot. Looked great and tasted great. Will see you again next Friday!

Irish pub

Fish & chips restaurant
Griffin Grill & Pub, located in Battle Creek and established in 1999, is a classic tavern known for its Irish-American cuisine and wide selection of beers on tap. The restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy traditional fare while watching sports on TV or relaxing on the chill patio. Additionally, the pub features live music throughout the weeknights and even has a special menu for furry friends called the "Pub Dog" menu.
Just had an amazing experience at Griffin Grill & Pub in Battle Creek, Michigan. I ordered the Cajun Alfredo, and let me tell you—it was absolutely incredible. Perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of kick, rich and creamy, and packed with flavor. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and fast. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and had that classic pub charm that makes you want to stick around for a while. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back!

Came here with my wife and family last Friday. I had been here previously but it was years ago, but I remembered the fish tacos being good. This time I got something different. My wife and I got the Scotch Eggs as our appetizer and I got the brisket burnt ends. The Scotch Eggs were amazing, they blew away the ones I had previously at a restaurant in Marcellus! The Brisket burnt ends were good too, as was the mac and cheese that came with it. The cole slaw was a bit marginal unfortunately. Otherwise, I'd give it a five, because everything else was surprisingly good and for a decent price 👍🏻

Tim was our waiter tonight and he was amazing. So friendly and helpful. The Wednesday night 75¢ wing deal is excellent. The true star of the night was the Reuben sandwich. The corned beef was juicy and flavorful; the cheese and sauce melted together into a perfectly moist bite; the sauerkraut wasn’t too tart; and the rye bread was crisped just right. 11/10

First off - I want to like this place. It's fun, the place is full of locals, it's got good reviews. However, if you put a steak on your menu and have it marked as *market price, then have a steak worth the market price. Stick to the pot roast, ruban, appetizers. I asked for that steak rare, the waiter was super awesome, and agreed that the meal was underwhelming and disappointing. All that to say that I'll be back, but I probably will never order another steak again after that experience.

A very nice looking place for a fun taste of Irish American food! Coming from almost 2 hours away to try this place for our day in battle creek! So glad to see a mock tail menu, as the DD I like to have a tasty drink too while at a bar / pub. Got the redbull sunrise! Scotch egg was delicious, the honey mustard went so well with it. I had the bangers and mash, which my potatos were just Luke warm. Unsure if it was because of the plate being cold, or they were just not warmed enough. Delicious either way. The sausages were tasty with the tiny hint of cinnamon. Chips were thick and freshly made! And the steak in the Philly cheese was so tender. Loved it! My brother had the burger that had peanut butter. A bit odd but a had to try meal. Definitely showing this place to others if we ever go back!

Our first time in. We will most definitely be back! We had Tim taking care of us and he was great! Had the fish and chips, turkey apple apple jack sandwich and Blarney bread. It was all absolutely delicious. We got to sit on the patio and there was easily 7 dogs while we were there! It was so cute!! They even have a dog menu!!! If you have spare time and an empty stomach, this is a great place to stop! Even if you have your pups with you!
Jamie C — Google review
Bar food. We decided to get dinner here because of the pub chips. The pub chips were fantastic. The burger and hot dog were both good. The service could have been better, but a large party came in behind us and our waitress disappeared. I eventually had to waive someone else over to get our bill and leave. Overall, we both enjoyed the food and plan to go back again. By the way, if you are sensitive to noise or looking for a quiet place to get a bite to eat, this is not it. The noise level is high. I was expecting that so I wasn't too bothered by it, but we did ask to sit in an adjacent room to the bar to get some distance from the hubbub. Overall, I would go back for another burger.

These prices, I was surprised at the quality of the food here. And what a great selection of beers! 34 on tap.

During a search for quick and local food, a happy and delightful discovery was made at Kitchen Proper after experiencing a long wait at another nearby eatery. Despite not having a reservation, the friendly hostess promptly seated the guests. The menu showcases innovative dishes that make use of ingredients sourced locally. This establishment is owned by a married couple who personally cook, serve, and greet customers. Each dish ordered was delectable with generous portions offered at reasonable prices.
We had a party of 6 and everyone loved the appetizers, dinner and dessert. The drink menu was unusual and those were good too. The salmon, chicken Marsala and shrimp and scallops were all excellent. The waitress was outstanding and knew what she was talking about when she told us we should share the desserts! We didn’t take her advice. 🤣

Kitchen Proper has a cool vibe, the open kitchen was clean and not overly noisy. Our server was great. The food, I'd skip the crab cakes, they are very small for the price and just "okay", the crispy brussel spouts were great, the mushroom soup was wonderful, the both the salmon and halibut risottos were a little over cooked. Our desserts were very good. I gave them 4 stars for the food because it was a mixed bag.

The chef at this restaurant is the kind of chef that you want to prepare every meal you eat. We are traveling and found this restaurant on our last night in Battlecreek/Kalamazoo. Had we found this restaurant our first night, we would've eaten here every night. I had the Chopped Salad, Mushroom Risotto, Chocolate Decatance dessert. I'm Gluten Free, and they had GF crackers, GF bread, and made sure my meal was GF. My husband had the pork loin and he loved it. My food was so delicious. If I could've licked my plate with others not seeing, I would have. This spot is a must stop for anyone that wants to eat a wonderfully professional meal. I need to also mention our server was one of the most sincere, knowledgeable, and attentive that we have ever had in all our years. We hope this review helps you to visit this special place.

Great place in Battle Creek for the finer things in life. Everything from the menu changing, to rare appetizers, to smoked cheese and cocktails! The place is a honeyhole for success. Great seating in and out back! The food and drinks are always on par. Tonight I had the 6 oz Waygu with Asparagus and Mashed Potatoes, medium. We will always be back.

We had a nice meal on the patio and our server was friendly and attentive. Reservations highly recommended. Desserts are delicious, but I don’t understand the chocolate syrup with everything (key lime pie and carrot cake).

Amazing food and service! Waitress was super kind, sociable, and had excellent menu recommendations! While their pastas/staple dishes are great I definitely recommend trying their features, the creativity and passion that the chefs hold absolutely shows in every dish.

This gem is nestled in Battle Creek MI downtown between several other sub par restaurants. I'm so happy that I decided to finally try this place. Atmosphere is warm and inviting, drinks were amazing. I had some Rum walnut drink that was absolutely the best. The food didn't disappoint. I had the venison fettuccine, and the meat so tender and delicious. The Ceasar salad was top notch, and the Gouda cheese dip was the perfect mix of smoke filled flavor with a hint of sweet heat. Normally I raven to the principle or rustica in Kalamazoo to eat, but I am very thankful to find out Battle Creek has a restaurant on par with those fine establishments.

Good restaurant for Battle Creek, several interesting chef's specials and unusual cocktails. Small restaurant with what feels like quality ingredients that gets quite noisy when busy. Helpful and gracious, (if a bit too busy) staff. I'd go again next time I'm in Battle Creek.

Kellogg Arena is a versatile venue located in downtown Battle Creek, Michigan. With a seating capacity of around 9,800 people, it hosts major sports events and is home to the Battlefield Baseball Team. The arena is part of the vibrant McCamly Square complex, which includes the acclaimed McCamly Plaza Hotel. Visitors can enjoy various events at Kellogg Arena, such as the annual Mac and Cheese Fest or thrilling shows like monster truck exhibitions.
Took our kiddos to the monster truck show there, and it was so cool. It's not the same as the big show at Ford Field, but we had so much fun. The small arena was perfect for keeping a close eye on our autistic son. The robots were freaking sweet! The clown 🤡 was funny, and getting to ride in a real monster truck was the highlight for my boys.

The space felt clean and appeared to be well maintained. It is also nice that the double tree hotel is attached. The only negative is that it was about 90 degrees outside and the air conditioning had trouble keeping up. I’m sure that will be resolved in the near future.

The Monster Truck Wars were ok. Concession lines were way too long. After intermission, they only ran 1 more small race. Would I go to that event again? Probably not. But my kids and I still had a good time.

We've all been in this room cramped for an hour sweating and can barley breathe you can at least let people in to sit down! Please have people at the door that are actually able to organize the line for concerts people that were at the front are now at the back and the doors are gonna just get stormed when they allow people in 👎🏻

For a smaller arena, it's not bad. The parking garage has narrow two-way lanes, so be careful. Also, when I went for an event, a lot of the locks for bathroom stalls weren't functioning.

Upon arrival at 2pm the pool was being shocked, No big deal we need the pool to be cleaned. The cashiers were friendly. It’s $12 per person over the age of 2, not bad at all for a small outdoor waterpark. The issue is the food. The hot dogs are always uncooked and rubbery, The nacho cheese is always cold. And they never seem to get orders correctly. We’ve been coming here for a few years now. Also seems like every time we come we have to get out of the pool because somebody pooped themselves. Little swimmers pull-ups should be mandatory for babies, infants and toddlers who can say they have to go potty ((My opinion tho)) and today, I think someone pooped themselves coming down the waterslide we all had to get out the pool for at least 30-40 minutes which means after our kids got back in the pool they literally had only 30 more minutes of swim time. But the lifeguards were awesome. The staff here are great‼️

Free to walk/drive around. So far I've only seen the Children's Garden (gorgeous and gate was closed at 5 pm) and the Fantasy Forest (very unique). It's a pretty large place. Amazing pizza and beer selection. They also had a great band playing, The Steepwater Band. I am not a big beer drinker but the staff was very knowledgeable about the selections and helped me choose a flight, and I actually liked the ones chosen!! Would highly recommend trying the place out!!

We used Handmap Brewing for our rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding. We loved the beautiful look of the brewery, which can be seen in the photo attached. The staff was amazing from planning to the event to the actual day! We had plenty of room for our guest size of around 25, and had an open bar with a pizza buffet. Our guests loved trying all the different types of pizza and the drinks were so good! They had something for everyone- beer, cider, and other beverages for those drinking alcohol/not. Our family and friends were very impressed! Parking was very convenient- and the overall vibe was very warm/friendly. I will definitely be coming back- and recommend anyone planning a rehearsal dinner in the Battle Creek area to use them! They were priced fairly compared to others we checked in the area!

Once in a while, you run into a brewery that is knocking it out of the park. Handmap fits that description to a "T". The Otis BA Saison blew me away. But the star of the show was the BA Battle Creek Russian Imperial Stout. I was flawless. One of the best I've had in 35+ years. And the pickle pizza? Wow! Thanks Chris and Jennifer. Walking into this place felt like home.

The best burgers I've ever tasted! Better than Red Robin or any other burger place. Owner is the chef & cashier. It's small but their burgers melt in your mouth! Picnic tables outside are available for seating.

The double Figg was definitely a mouthful. Handmade patties made to order and fresh cut veggies make an exceptional burger. Next time I'll try the triple for the challenge of it. Smells from the smoker starts the drooling for the bbq. I want impressed with the rib tips, but the ribs and sauce are worth the wait. I'm not from Michigan, but this is a definite stop the next time I'm in town

Best food in Battle Creek hands down!! These guys are so nice and accommodating. Long time fixture of the community. Wish you many more years of success.

Ordered the Figg burger and fries, DELICIOUS! The burgers are quite large, about the size of my hand. Flavored very nice, fast and friendly service.

This place is great! My girlfriend and I decided to stop here on a whim to get some grub and got just that. The building does look a little rough and gave me some doubts, but I didn't judge a book by its cover. The service was outstanding, everyone was extremely nice. The food itself was absolutely amazing. Hands down the best burger I've had since Red Arrow closed down in Indiana. I will definitely return!

I don't go to this store often but if I'm on a budget and still want top quality products, this store is your best friend. The workers are super kind, the place is always well organized and it's easy to find what you need and they have good prices for lots of cool things.

We just bought a sectional and ottoman at this location. The man who took care of us while ringing us up was wonderful. He helped us back our borrowed trailer in as we had no idea how to do it properly. 🤣 He was so friendly and patient with us. He and my husband loaded it in the trailer. He was so professional and friendly, and deserves a raise!

Great staff. Very helpful and friendly. Prices didn't seem to be very competitive on grocery items. Furniture prices were pretty decent.

Bathrooms are very dirty. I wanted to buy some wreath forms and the cashier tried to scan the tags and there was a problem. Long story short, the manager said they were not for sale?? What?? How is an item on the shelf with a price tag not for sale? Lazy management.

Big Lots may not seem like the place that you would expect 5 STAR customer service...(especially from my 30+ years in Customer Service perspective) But tonight, when I was in desperate need of a storage tote... All I had to do was ask for some help and Tracy and her team absolutely rose to the occasion...I can't thank you enough, Tracy for all of your help... (Ladders, trips to the back room and incoming truck inventory search included) THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! You and your team were excellent!!!

Had THE WORST experience with an associate. Lya was her name. Gave us the wrong prices OVER AND OVER AGAIN. We finally calculated the price on our own in a matter of 2 mins, which took her about a 1/2 hour walking back and fourth. Thank goodness someone else took over.

I enjoyed my 90 min 3.3 miles in this nature preserve. It had a little bit of everything from low laying swamp areas to a couple of nice ponds along with a section which seems to be an old sand dune section. Very well marked paths with maps to know your location. Can't really get lost at this one. Great easy spot for any hikers of all ages.

Park
Woodland Park and Nature Preserve in Battle Creek is a 145-acre natural area with entrances on Gethings Road and Helmer Road. It offers several outdoor recreation opportunities, including five miles of walking trails that wind through beautiful natural foliage, wooded areas, and wetlands. The park is home to many native species and provides a resource for conservation and education for the local community. Visitors can enjoy activities such as walking, jogging, or cross-country skiing depending on the season.
Absolutely beautiful park and so serene. Got to witness a doe crossing my path twice on the Sumac/Beech trails! I also took the blue trail in the back (Hidden Loop) and the flooding was cleared as of late September. I absolutely love how clearly the trails are labeled here.
Valerie D — Google review
Woodland Park has a lot of wild life ranging from rabbits, snakes, toads, frogs, birds and deer. This is a very nice trail with a lot of green scenes and different paths one can take.
Brianna D — Google review
Really unique experience in the "city". Where you can roam on miles of trails amongst huge trees and lush plants but be feet from rushing cars and commercial buildings. Lots of birds, very good for the soul! And free! Just with there was more signage about the flora and history.
Liz D — Google review
Walked around here yesterday after working a half-day. Really pretty place! It's a lot bigger than I thought. There's a lot of wildlife back here, and one cool thing currently back in the woods is a large Beaver dam. Just be aware the dam is currently causing some flooding. Can't believe I've never been here until yesterday, and I work in Battle Creek. I'll definitely be back.

Private golf course
Binder Park Golf Course is a picturesque 27-hole course with three separate 9-hole tracks featuring wetlands, forests, and bluffs. The course is well-maintained and offers a pro shop for golfers. Adjacent to the golf course, Binder Park Zoo participates in various conservation programs to protect species like ring-tailed lemurs, white-handed gibbons, Mexican wolves, and red pandas. Visitors have praised the helpful staff and generous atmosphere at the course.
Great course. Well maintained. 30 holes of golf so everyone is spread out. Hilly in places.
A ( — Google review
Carts are unmaintained and dangerous. We even switched at the turn and the replacement cart was worse. The course itself was in rough shape. Tee boxes aren’t even cut the proper length. I could include a lot more, but I’ll leave it at that.
Tim F — Google review
Took my 9 yr old for first round of 9. Everyone from staff to players were extremely helpful & generous in making this a day to remember in my son's life. Course was in excellent condition despite the lack of rain. As a side note, this is one of the most scenic courses I have played. It's hard to believe it's a municipal course.
Perry G — Google review
Why is driving range is closed at 6:30pm on Mondays for cleaning? You can’t just protect your employees and ask people to leave that hit at the guys cleaning? They have a full cage on the equipment to pick up the balls so this makes no sense. I showed up to the course 7/21/25 at 6:11pm and was turned away from hitting balls at the range. I have done this previously as my wife has a standing appointment on Mondays so I went back into the clubhouse to inquire more about getting on the range. Tim arrogantly turns to point to the sign that say the range will be closed at 6:30 on Monday’s. The current time was 6:22. This makes no sense, you can’t kick people off the property that in danger your employees, the picker had a cage and there is no reason to close the range.
Ryan H — Google review
I came for the range. The young lady in the food area was extremely nice. The gentleman in the clubhouse wasn't the friendliest. I thought I was asking routine questions for this to be my first time visiting your establishment. Outside of him I'll be back.
Nate G — Google review
Made the turn this morning as a twosome and ran into THREE fivesomes backed up on the next tee box. Pro shop didn't care or act like that was in any way inappropriate. Course is in good shape.
Mike S — Google review
Course and clubhouse were great as usual. Office staff not at all. They let two groups of 4 cut in front at the turn and redirected us to a different 9 that we didn't want or sign up to play. Said they would address the issue but didn't. Just continued to say, don't know what happened, even though it happened in front of their eyes. Really looking forward to playing the "Natural" course. Based on what we experienced you just play the course you want and nobody cares.
Lee T — Google review
I got a membership for the season and it started out great. As the year progressed and the course became busier, playability dwindled. There are no benefits to being a member, other than to save a few bucks if you can stand being stuck behind a group that won’t let you pass while also being pushed by a group hitting into you. There are NO RANGERS EVER, pace of play sucks. Leagues are almost every single night of the week so If you’re not on one good luck playing after work hours during the week. The course is very tight and if you drive the ball farther then 280 leave the driver at home. On the contrary I really enjoyed the three practice holes on the course and feel they are very underrated. The staff is generally friendly and kind.

Historical landmark
The Underground Railroad Sculpture in Kellogg House Park, Battle Creek, MI is a 28ft long, 14 ft high bronze monument dedicated to Harriet Tubman and other operators of the Underground Railroad. It pays tribute to those who risked their lives for freedom. The sculpture captures intricate details of abolitionists' faces and portrays Harriet Tubman as fierce. Visitors can learn about the impact Battle Creek had on the Underground Railroad through an audio guide while enjoying the peaceful park surroundings.
Incredible sculpture with an audio guide explaining the history of the underground railroad and those who risked their lives to save fellow slaves. The park is a nice area to walk around and stretch your legs, smell the flowers, and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the flowing river.

Situated in downtown Battle Creek amidst trees and flowers, this bronze statue is definitely a must see- kudos to the artist for a great piece of work that is admirable and thought provoking from all three sides and the fourth side too
Enn Z — Google review
It was very eye opening to see the level of detail that was displayed on this sculpture; from the individual people’s faces displaying different emotions to showing just a couple of ways that they maneuvered to make it to a place where they could have freedom. It brought on a deeper level of respect for slave abolitionists as well as the enslaved people that knew that they were not meant to be treated as property, as animals, or as less than a human being.
Isaiah X — Google review
It’s free and there are a couple of great audio presentations that explain more. Well worth the visit along with the Sojourner Truth statue that is close by in Monument Park. Very inspirational.

Café Rica USA is a distinct discovery with a warm and vibrant ambiance, allowing customers to witness the food preparation upon entering. The establishment boasts appealing décor and an exceptional staff. The menu offers an extensive selection of food and beverages, ranging from breakfast items and coffee to cocktails and sandwiches. This café caters to diverse preferences, making it an all-encompassing destination. Notably, the Pomegranate Lemonade and 'Casadilla' are particularly delectable choices.
We ordered breakfast bagel sandwiches which were very good. They toast the bagels and have a great selection of toppings. Lattes were served quickly & were delicious. We don’t live in the area but will recommend this eatery for anyone who lives here or is passing through.

This is a fantastic place with good food, coffee/tea, and cocktails. Business lunch? Perfect. Gal pal time? You bet. The only, and I mean only, consideration is that it can get loud inside. If you are hard of hearing, this might be something to think about. Otherwise, everything is 10/10. Affordable, lots of variety, and an inviting, quirky aesthetic.

Best brewed coffee in Battle Creek by a long shot. Above average food and ambiance. However the service and food prep is so slow this is not the place to come if you are in a hurry and just want a coffee to go.
Rob G — Google review
I stopped here on 9/2/2025. Right when I entered, I knew I should of went somewhere else. The staff seemed miserable - no smiles, no hello, nothing inviting. The woman who brought our food the table never said a word (think Gen Z stare). I tried the cold brew flight. Decently priced and fun thing to try. My favorite was the Manhattan cold brew. The espresso machine was broken at the time of the visit. No big deal, machines break, I et that. The bagel sandwich was fine. They also hang a LGBT+ flag above their front door. The chairs are a little uncomfortable if you plan on staying for a while. If that is a problem for you, consider going elsewhere. Overall, my experience was uninspiring. I will not be returning. I would like to give the coffee a try, but when brewed at home.

Wendy's, a popular fast-food burger establishment, offers a variety of side options like chili and baked potatoes. However, it has recently come to light that their chili now contains entirely artificial meat. This decision may have significant consequences for the company as it risks alienating its customer base.

People were semi friendly, not too interested in making people feel welcome. Gave me a Tea that was absolutely disgusting, it was obviously not brewed and was fed through a line that was used for other things as well. Tasted like a flat punch-tea or something. Burgers were just ok. Have had much better experiences in the past.

Dude. Get some people that know what they are doing. 2 times now in the past week I have gone in & had to walk out to go somewhere else for waiting 10 plus minutes to even order. The people in front of me hadn't even ordered yet. They have 2 people standing around doing nothing while the line just gets longer. It's called fast food for a reason. They prioritize the drive thru when it needs to be every other. Keep the people moving. I'd have better luck driving across town to the other wendys. I'd get my food faster.
Marcus D — Google review
The food here is neither fast or hot. For the prices they charge, the food should be hot and the service quick. I went inside and it took 10 minutes to get a Frosty.

Saturday afternoon. Ordered an 8” Club Grinder. Bread was very, very dry. Meat was ok, but dry. Cheese was melted for the most part. Added pickles, which in turn added some flavor! So that was a good choice!! Very disappointed in this sandwich. Woman behind the counter was nice and directed me to where my sandwich was sitting.
Concerned R — Google review
Disappointed! Picked up Chicken Nachos to go and the cheese and nacho chips were both so hard. Shredded cheese was hard like melted plastic and chips were hard like they used stale chips. Although I've never had chicken nachos from this restaurant, I've had shredded cheese nachos before. Unfortunately, they baked "my" order of nachos wayyyy too long. I live less than 10 mins away. Customer service lady asked me have I ever had their nachos before and was told I should have consumed them when they were hot. If not, the cheese would get hard. When asked if I could get my order re-made, I was told with an attitude no you just need to order for dine in next time. I even asked if I could exchange for a sandwich. No lunch for me, just fresh lettuce, tomatoes and olives on hard chicken nachos today. Overall the nachos look great, but definitely poor customer service. If I could give them no stars I would. I'm sure they could afford to give rotten customer service since there are only a few places worth eating at here in Battle Creek.

This has been a staple for the area. They food is great! I have been coming here for years. I would certainly recommend this place. It's part of Battle Creek history.

Warning Action Shot!!! Ordered meat lovers pizza. So the pizza was cut in these little squares. Made eating it easier. The toppings were massive. Great flavor, bottom crust was crisp, cool pizza shop. Would order it again.
Gregory I — Google review
Wow- how have I lived in BC for a year and a half without trying this pizza?!? I tried a 10” pepperoni today and couldn’t help but eat it all in one sitting because it was SO good. Delicious sauce and cheese with an authentic taste, pizza was ready in less than 20 minutes around dinner time, and I love the “party-style” cut for the slices. Really good deal too. I will definitely be coming back often!!
Valerie D — Google review
Definitely my top pizza in the area! Always consistant and it’s not outrageously priced.

Fantasy Forest is a charming sculpture garden located in Battle Creek, originally the site of the Battle Creek Country Club. Donated to the city by Leila Post Montgomery in 1922, this area features an array of whimsical tree carvings including wizard, castle, and dragon statues. The arboretum creatively repurposed trees affected by the emerald ash borer beetle into fantasy creatures and people.
Nice little stopover, to stretch your legs, if you're on a long drive through. A lovely walk about, through the sculptures\meadow. Some sculptures were cute, some amusing, some really quite good. Generally a lovely place!
Sparrow P — Google review
Much smaller than expected. Not a forest at all. However, very interesting sculptures. Still enjoyable. I would not specifically make a trip for this however if you're in the area it's worth stopping by.
C R — Google review
Interesting place, if you're in the area check it out, wouldn't make a special trip.
David M — Google review
I was not prepared for this experience. The way my family described it, I thought we were going to something akin to a nursery. This section of the campus is a wood sculpture garden. Some trees may have grown where they not stand, others have clearly been transported and installed but they’re all more than worth coming to see.
Beau R — Google review
Cool carved tree sculptures. Probably spooky at night.
Matt B — Google review
The people that took the time to make these are absolutely taoentedb
Tayna W — Google review
This place is very cool. We will be back in the summer when the flower gardens are in bloom. But the sculptures are very creative and fun! And the area itself is nice to walk around.
Julie M — Google review
Very cute lil stop!! We enjoyed it. There are ones you can sit on to take pictures. Its family friendly. Pets are allowed as long as they are leashed and its FREE but there is a donation box so if you have a little extra to help them out I'm sure they would appreciate it.

Historic Adventist Village in Battle Creek, Michigan offers a fascinating journey into the origins of the Seventh Day Adventist faith. The three-block village showcases meticulously recreated and restored buildings, such as the historic Parkville Church and the 1856 home of Ellen and James White. Visitors can delve into the stories of African-American Adventist pioneers, explore the interactive John Harvey Kellogg Discovery Center, and learn about the intersection of health reform and religion within the church's history.
I had an amazing time at Historic Adventist Village! My guide, Werlei, was fantastic—he explained everything in great detail and made history come alive. He was incredibly knowledgeable and patiently answered all my questions. Thanks to him, I truly understood the importance of this place. I highly recommend visiting with kids to explore and experience history firsthand. Be sure to ask for Werlei as your guide!
Саша П — Google review
Highly recommended. Best place to learn about the history of Adventist church. There are some many unique items that we found in the different buildings. It’s a great place for kids as well.
Joseph H — Google review
I had a really great experience it was very informative and some really cool things to see in the houses it made me feel like stepping back in time
Psychic D — Google review
It was definitely an interesting tour and experience. The grounds are definitely needing some work. The homes need some restoration on the exterior parts. The tour guide could have been a little more interesting. Perhaps dress in character and have lines memorized instead of reading from books. All and all, not a bad experience!
T H — Google review
It wasn't open. The sign said to be back at 10, and we went at 2. Online said it was open till 4 pm.

Interested in history And how health reform progressed in America? Want to know about one of the greatest cereal makers ever known? Interested in How the Seventh Day Adventist church combined health reform with religion? Then you should definitely come here and get some of everything. The tour guide was very informal and friendly and let us take lots of pictures and try some of the exhibits. It's like a tiny science center for health with all of the interactive exhibits.

Wow what a wonderful time we had. Our study group decided to take a field trip to see Adventist Village. It was a beautiful day we ate lunch on picnic tables and went on our tour. The tour was free, and they had volunteers that dressed up in the time period of the late 1800s. They gave tours of all the different buildings and the history that came from them. I would highly recommend calling ahead and scheduling a free tour to see this historic place, you will enjoy it!

Auditorium
W K Kellogg Auditorium is a historic venue located in downtown Battle Creek, offering a step back in time with its 19th-century houses, churches, and old schoolhouse. It also features the John Harvey Kellogg Discovery Center with interactive health and history displays. The auditorium hosts various events including concerts and orchestra performances, providing an intimate setting with great acoustics.
This is a great venue. But could use a little updating. Stairs were the only way to the upper floors and the rows of seats are too close together.
Jerris F — Google review
My daughter's dance recital was here. Lovely auditorium. Perfect for the occasion.
Kelley S — Google review
A very nice auditorium that could use a couple of updates. The seats are small and close together. The sound of the symphony sounded great up the the balcony.
Sherry K — Google review
Absolutely beautiful venue for a concert. We have been there 3 times in the last year. Not a bad seat in the house. The sound is perfect. Conveniently located in downtown Battle Creek and close to many places for dinner before the concert. Parking is free and plenty. This is one of the best places in town for entertainment at a fair price. We always take the lower priced seats and we are never disappointed.

Crucy M — Google review
We as Grandparents attended a brass band concert performed by the local teenagers who excel in their gifts. Absolute joy and the perfect venue.
Cheryl H — Google review
I recently saw a performance concert about the West Side Story which was an orchestra concert with some acting. We sat on the main floor towards the back and we could still see everything although if it was a smaller child in the auditorium they probably wouldn't be able to see so I would probably go up to the balcony. Otherwise very nice older auditorium.
D C — Google review
This auditorium is older than me but has had remodeling done inside over the years. It use to host a whole lot of neat plays, follies, dance school recitals, broadway musicals shows, orchestra musicals and skits. I have fond memories of this place. But i dont know if the building is still in use.

Monument
Historical landmark
The Sojourner Truth Monument in Battle Creek is a 12-foot sculpture dedicated to the memory of Sojourner Truth, an ex-slave who became a prominent abolitionist and suffragist. The monument, designed by renowned artist Tina Allen, depicts Truth standing next to a lectern, symbolizing her use of public speaking to advocate for suffrage and abolition across nearly twenty states.
Battle Creek, MI a giant statue, a memorial really of Sojourner Truth. Easily seen from the road, parking is around, but to get to this monument a little bit of walking is in order. Well lit at night for your viewing pleasure! Come see this great monument today!
Sean Q — Google review
I visited Sojourner Truth’s Monument since I have been doing research on her and wanting to share her story. Sojourner Truth was a remarkable human being. Born in Ulster County NY in 1797 by the name of Isabella Bomfree. Born of enslaved parents James and Elizabeth mean Isabella would be enslaved as well. Slavery in New York did not officially end until 1827. One of the first memories Sojourner could recall was at the age of 9. She was sold at auction with a flock of sheep for around $100. This because the starting point for bad things in her life. The man who bought her at auction was a very violent man. But she did not let this hold her down. Sojourner Truth had five children. One of the name Peter who was illegally sold into slavery. Sojourner filed suit against the man and won. She became the first African American woman to win a case against a white man. She went on to live a very long life and supported many causes. She was laid to rest in Battle Creek Michigan.
Beth C — Google review
I really loved visiting the monument of this great individual. I also would suggest visiting Oak Hill Cementary and seeing where she is buried. She is right behind CW Post. Sojourner deserves to be honored for her courage and love of freedom!
Jason S — Google review
There is something warming of the heart here. Quiet and inspiring. I'd spend time with my friends here if there was more to do than just look. I love her name
Zaq W — Google review
This, plus the nearby Underground Railroad sculpture, are must-sees if you are near downtown Battle Creek. If you are encouraged to explore the life of Sojourner Truth a little more after your visit, all the better.

Ramen restaurant
Umami Ramen is a modest, compact establishment that offers a variety of Asian dishes, such as ramen and udon soups, Korean burritos, and other Pan-Asian delicacies. Patrons can enjoy delectable bowls of ramen and chicken with dark and red sauces, which can be mixed together for a delightful culinary experience. The menu also boasts options with more spice for those seeking an extra kick. Despite the generous portion sizes, the prices are surprisingly affordable.
More of an Asian fusion place than a Japanese restaurant. A variety of build your own noodle bowls with "Korean burritos" and rolls on offer too. This was my first time eating here and it was very good.
John L — Google review
See 2-8-24 Update at bottom: (4.5 Stars) Excellent food I would have given 5 stars however the chicken was on the bland side. She uses high-grade all white meat. I just wish it had more flavor substance to it. Everything else does an excellent job of carrying the chicken, from the seemingly house made Ramen noodles to the flavor-packed curry sauce. Excellent fresh ingredients apparently at play here! 2024 UPDATE Loss a star. I alway base my ratings upon value. Value=[Quality/Cost]. Even though there was a small slip in quality from very little chicken inclusion, it still was very tasty. The issue came from the reduced quantity and increased cost. This $10 bowl end up costing over $17 without tip. See pictures.

It's real easy to drive by the restaurant if you're not looking for it. When I entered the restaurant, it didn't give me that "WOW" effect, however the steady stream of customers did! The menu is written nicely on the chalk board and you pick out what you want to eat and they make it for you. The food is delicious. Very seasoned. We ate at the restaurant and my portion was enough for two people. Noodles inside the shrimp egg roll was unexpected. However, it worked! The restaurant is moving to a larger location in April 2020. Stay tuned!

Wish this place wasn't so far from our house. Simply amazing food. Literally every single thing that I have ever ordered from here has been top notch. This will be added to our rotation of top eats in the area.

Always worth the stop when we're in Battle Creek. Lots of vegetarian options. Great Ramen with broth choices. Favorite is the fat tofu veggie egg rolls.
Dee — Google review
This place is amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. The menu was easy to navigate and the staff were super friendly. Myself and another customer had food allergies and the staff answered all of our questions and made sure we knew what was fried where. They are vegan and vegetarian friendly, which can be hard to find. The restaurant is small and so is the parking lot, which wasn’t a big deal to me. We did notice they will be closed 4/14-4/30/18 for spring cleaning but will be open again in May.
Whitney B — Google review
This place is amazing 🤩 very friendly unique food and prices are so reasonable you could eat here everyday and take some home. Highly recommend!
Patty R — Google review
So I loveeee this place! Firstly, the staff is very nice and the owner supports the community. Even though lines can get long, you don't feel rushed. The food is very affordable, they clearly understand our pockets. Then there's the food. I ordered ramen chicken curry , it's the type of food that makes your eyes roll back. You get to add all of your garnishes. I also tried the loaded wontons and that tasted soo good. I can't wait to come back and try more foods!

Nina's Taqueria is a cozy Mexican eatery that specializes in delectable burritos, tacos, and margaritas. It is a warm and welcoming establishment run by a close-knit family. One can expect generous portions of delicious food served with a friendly demeanor. Their menu offers tempting options like the Parrillada, which combines shrimp, steak, and chicken fajitas, as well as the Burrito Norteno filled with beef smothered in cheese sauce.
I love Nina’s, the service here is amazing and they are so kind. The food is great I love the chicken tacos on corn, the free chips and salsa is good a bit spicy but bearable because it tastes good. I LOVE the cucumber juice, it’s perfect for a hot day. The prices are great also, good quality food.

I like the feel of the place. I ordered the shredded beef tacos, one of my favorites, and they did not disappoint. And the dip sauce was excellent. The guacamole wasn't as good as La Cocina (too many tomatoes), but I just got a little taste of it. I'll have to order a full bowl next time. Rice and beans were good. But I thought the salsa was better than La Cocina.
Terence P — Google review
My Husband and I stopped here for lunch after it was recommend by a gentleman at the Henkel Auto Group. It was not very busy, we sat at the last booth. Our menus came fast and so did our drinks and free chips.... But it took probably 20-25 minutes for her to come back and take our order. (We arrived at 12:41, food came out at 1:19pm) our food came out within 10 minutes of us ordering... She did apologize and everyone was nice. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed it. My Husband and I each ordered the Burrito Especial with Barbacoa and white sauce. We also shared a tamale and side of beans. The food made the visit worth it. Bill was $44.

Very friendly staff, will get busy during dinner! Food is great, love the chips and salsa.
Sara D — Google review
The home made chips and salsa were the best I ever had. The main dish was also very good. Will be back!
Frank C — Google review
It's gone pretty downhill. They charge for a refill on the "complementary" chips and salsa without telling you it's a charge. $4 for a refill. Didn't take it off the bill when I said they've never done that before. Will not be returning even though I've loved this place in the past with my wife.

Hamburger restaurant
Ritzee Hamburgers is a popular burger joint in Urbandale, loved by many for its unique and superior taste compared to other fast food chains like McDonald's or Burger King. Despite moving away from the area, loyal customers still make the effort to travel across town just to seek Ritzee's opinion on burgers. Some long-time patrons are even urging the owner to dig deep into their archives and unearth the recipe for their iconic Taco Dog from the 1970s.
I NEVER go to Battle Creek when I'm not working, but yesterday, I wandered around a bit on my lunch break and drove past this place. The huge, retro-style sign got my attention . I thought about going today, which I did. I was pleased to see there's a drive through too! Service was quick. My order was already up when I paid. I got two Olive Burgers, because I was hungry. Wow, those burgers were great! Blows away a typical fast food burger! Hardly greasy, perfectly seasoned, and a decently thick patty for what you pay. Yum! I will return.
Zachary F — Google review
This place is full of nostalgia. I'm not sure how the service was back in the day but it's not that great now. We ordered an olive burger well done. Comments came from back in the kitchen, "All our meat is well done". I surely did not need to hear a smart comment. Best thing to say nothing and just give us our burger well done. We ordered two root beers. The girl was going over the order and said, "one mountain dew". My wife said no that was a root beer and the girl said smartly, "yeah I got that". So we didn't like the service and the food was second rate at best. Except for the fries, they were great! We won't be back. They should try fresh hamburgers and all beef hot dogs for starters and have the kitchen staff and counter staff get some manners. This was our first time and last time. By looking at the rest of the reviews I can see we must have gone when the prisoners took over. It's a shame because we love olive burgers and chili dogs but they were the worst. Nothing juicy about that burger. Sat around for awhile I expect.
Stephen B — Google review
If you like the good old days and burger stands then try this one out. As of this review, Ritzee is drive-thru only. Prices are higher then those listed on website so exspect $10 for a combo. Never had a olive burger but I can tell you, I would do it again. Good crinkle fries that were hot and the portion was a good compliment to the burger. Drink was the size and volume you would expect with a combo meal. There are fewer of these places each day so if you are in the area and need a quick burger and fries, then check them out.
Mitch C — Google review

Don — Google review
I will absolutely never go here again. We were by there after a delivery & saw their sign for $1.99 hamburgers, so thought we'd give them a try. Yup never again. 1st, it's drive thru only, 2nd, the drive thru worker & the manager were very rude when I went back through to tell them my order wasn't correct. I was being completely nice, as I know mistakes do happen & the speaker didn't sound like it worked well. I told the worker that my order was supposed to be 8 plain (nothing on them) & 8 regular (as they come with ketchup, mustard & pickle). Worker states I NEVER said that. Well, she went to get manager. I tell manager that order is wrong, she very rudely answers back with no it isn't, we repeat our orders at the drive thru & window. I said I'm sry but nothing was repeated to me at either. Manager proceeds to tell me that she heard the worker repeat the order both times. If that wass the case I would have corrected worker at drive thru. Only thing repeated at drive thru was a very shocked response when I said I wanted 16 mini hamburgers & nothing but the total at the window. So I said nevermind I will never be coming here again. Absolutely horrible customer service on their part. But, the burgers weren't that good either. You couldn't taste the ketchup & mustard & you get 1 pickle that is somewhat rubbery & hard to bite without taking the whole pickle out.
