Italian restaurant
Steak house
Nestled in Elmira, Lib's Supper Club is a beloved dining spot offering a banquet-hall-style experience. Since 1954, this restaurant has been delighting patrons with authentic Italian cuisine and an impressive selection of wines. The menu features classic Italian fare, succulent steaks, and fresh seafood that have earned rave reviews for their generous portions and flavorful offerings.
Prices are a tad high but the quantity of food you get is worth it. Expect to bring home food. He ordered the cheese burger and it was HUGE! Homemade burger on a huge roll for only $14.00. the sausage and peppers were a little spicy for my taste but did taste good. We will be returning and highly recommend others to go.

The food is disgusting. I ordered chicken piccata, and it was deep fried and served over a bed of grease. The sauce was made with so much fat that it curdled. Save your money. If you are looking for a place to gorge yourself and don’t care about quality this is your place. Our waitress was nice and that was the only good part.

41st anniversary dinner for my wife, had to try this place, for years I ask her to make reservations and she just blew me off, her uniqueness. Showed up at 6 first mistake, it was quite loud older folks really can set the noise level up there. We had been seated very fast, OK it was an excellent start, the waitress was with us within a couple minutes with water and bread, nice a step above our usual steakhouse up by the mall. We had no appetizers, just ordered our dinner, we both had the "Surf & Turf" which was a 24 ounce prime rib, I ordered the chicken scampi & my wife ordered the shrimp scampi, which was part of the meal, we had a tossed salad and a baked potato also part of the Surf & Turf which is $56.xx The salad arrived in about 10 minutes it was excellent, and we had time to talk and enjoy our salad before the main course arrived. The main course arrived 12-15 minutes later which was perfect in our opinion. The prime rib wss cooked perfectly to our idea of medium rare, both pieces had a nice broiled appearance, the taste & tenderness was delicious. My wife said the shrimp 4 nice sized shrimp perfectly cooked, very lightly battered, crunchy but tender, she thought they were amazing. The chicken I had appeared to be a large breast that was pounded to tenderize it, it was in a sauce heavily tasting of garlic delicious, not a stringy breast you buy at the grocery store or it was properly tenderized prior to cooking. The bake potato was not a "Idaho baking potato" with the heavy skin and yellow coloration, it was according to my wife a "chefs potato" it was excellent, nice and creamy cooked to perfection. This place will replace the chain steak restaurant we would frequently visit. The bill was 124.xx that included 9.xx tax. We tipped the waiter $20.00 My wife and I really enjoyed our visit although a tad loud at the time we went on a Wednesday. Still an enjoyable anniversary dinner. Let's see if our next visit will be as pleasing.

We eat here every time we come to Elmira, hands down the best restaurant in the area. The fish fry is and the house salad with Italian dressing and crumbly blue cheese is excellent Service is always good, they really pay attention to the little things. My wife loves the chicken piccata, and the roasted peppers with gorgonzola are seriously amazing.  Well worth the visit you won't get a bad meal here

Excellent restaurant. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere with a great selection of food, beer, wine and desserts.

Went with my family for the first time. Food was awesome ,wait staff attentive , Only issue was not much to offer for dessert.bwould have loved to see some Italian deserts , not peanut butter pie . If your serving Italian food , I feel you have traditional Italian. deserts .Overall the food awesome ,wait staff great, atmosphere great, Dessert needs to be revamped wish I could have given all 5 stars. The desserts selection

Fine dining and a fine time - food is excellent, service is outstanding. A staple of Elmira, worth the trip, every time.
Joe B — Google review
Dark and depressing. Lighting was hiding old and decrepit design. Server was all over and wasn't very attentive. Do you like raw garlic? Go on and get a table here, no need for reservations as there is always an empty table.

Central Hots is a popular local spot in Elmira, located on Roe Avenue and open daily. The 50s-inspired space offers a vibrant dining experience with a menu featuring burgers, sandwiches, ice cream treats, and their signature Garbage Plate. Visitors praise the friendly staff and recommend trying the sweet potato fries with Blue Cheese dressing. The restaurant's neat interior adorned with vintage photos of Elmira adds to its charm.
Amazing fresh food. Friendly staff. Great prices. Clean and well kept indoor and outdoor environment. Will be back again.
Lance R — Google review
Neat little gem of a place- I have driven by many times, but had not stopped by until recently. Pleasantly surprised with the neat interior, there are many vintage photos of Elmira inside, and it is neat and clean. Seemed to be plenty of parking even during the lunch rush. Many options on the menu- everything from basic dogs to loaded dogs, basic burgers to garbage plate burgers, chicken spiedie subs and crispy chicken sandwiches, Philly cheese steak and grilled cheese sandwiches, and boneless wings! Also, nachos, onion rings, fried cauliflower, mozz sticks, jalapeno poppers, salads, homemade potato and macaroni salads, too. French fries come in many different guises- by themselves or with gravy, loaded, chili cheese, or sweet potato. Ice cream for after the meal- sundaes, cups and cones, milk shakes and floats are available. I thought that the prices are below what I generally find when eating out in other establishments. We paid around $10 each for our lunches. I ordered the bacon double cheeseburger and a regular order of fries. While the burger patties were not the absolute best I have ever had, overall the burger was very tasty, and well sized for the value. The fries were crispy and hot and I felt that the portion size was excellent. My wife ordered a hotdog, and seemed pleased with it, and she thoroughly enjoyed the order of French fries with gravy. I snuck a few of them and liked the flavor of the gravy. Very tasty indeed. Staff was amenable and friendly, and delivered food to tables. Overall an excellent experience and will definitely go again.

This place is amazing the portions are great. The employees are super nice and sweet. I definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I was serviced by a woman who is more mature in age. If you like being greeted with huffing and puffing this is the place to go. Maybe this person had a rough day but I didn’t asked to be treated poorly. Extremely ill-mannered, discourteous, and impolite. Went to this place to order three ice cream’s at 6:20 PM.By the way they close at 7 PM. I think 40 minutes to make three ice cream‘s is plenty of time and not cutting it too close to closing.

Awesome hotdogs 🌭 and sweet potato fries. And wonderful service. A must go place. Yummy Philly cheese steak.

Great food!! And it's really reasonably priced. They also have good ice cream too 😛

Retro feel with a courteous staff. Actual ice cream milkshakes, not fast food sludge. Also a must try for the HUNGRY, is a garbage plate with burgers or dogs, and Mac n cheese or potatoes.

Nice little park- watch out for the squirrels, they were not afraid of humans, don’t leave any food anywhere
Nicholas G — Google review
This park is solid. There are horseshoe pits,a nice playground, a fairly old splash pad, and a nice rentable pavilion. There can be some trash, but there are numerous community groups that do clean up days throughout the year.

Had a wonderful time with my dad and family. Enjoyed the conversations and the food was delicious as well. Hats off to Elenore for getting us together and I hope to do more with the family in the future. God bless you all and looking forward to what is next to come.

Park is pretty in the summer and the fall not so much I'm teb winter. Good for dogs and adults without children, not meant for kids.
Tracy B — Google review
Nice and clean park.
Margie L — Google review
It would be nice if the drug addicts would utilize the trash cans available at the park instead of tossing there bags on the ground for my kids to pick up. Otherwise we highly enjoyed the fact the everything wasn't wrapped with caution tape and closed as we encourage our children to be as active as possible with very little access to the internet and TV as possible. Also the squirrels are entertaining and semi domesticated!!! Not only did our children enjoy them but my husband and I also enjoyed them.
Kathleen W — Google review
This is a lovely park. There's a great play structure for the kids, plenty of shade, and lots of space for running around and having fun. In the summer, there is a sprinkler for cooling off in. Thursday nights, in the summer, there are horseshoe players. The basketball court is often in use. There are regular events all through the summer, and most weekends there are people holding birthdays or just cookouts. In the fall, the hickory and oak leaves are everywhere, great for making piles of leaves. In the winter, if there's snow, there is plenty of room for snow men, snow angels, and general snowy fun. Basically, everything you could want in a local park.

The Clemens Center, named after the renowned writer Mark Twain, is a historic theater that has been hosting a diverse array of performances for nearly a century. Originally a silent film house, it now showcases over 100 shows annually, including Broadway productions, dance programs, stand-up comedy nights, and orchestral performances. The venue's rich history and ongoing renovations make it an ideal spot to catch top-notch entertainment in downtown Elmira.
We attended the backstage fundraiser, there was a great turnout, lots of nibbles, cocktails etc. Catered hot food was wonderful. They offered a backstage tour which was fascinating to see the ins and outs of putting a production together , and how all the moving parts work behind the scenes . Always a great time at the Clemens Center

We always have such a great time, no matter what kind of show we go to! The staff are beyond friendly and so helpful! The seating area is well taken care of and very clean, and they have booster seats for younger kiddos who have a hard time seeing. We are truly blessed to have a staple like the Clemens Center near us to have access to the shows that they provide.

Turtle Leaf Cafe is a beloved local spot that prides itself on serving up healthy and delicious food options. The menu features organic and seasonal light fare, including breakfast dishes, sandwiches, salads, and smoothies. In addition to the food offerings, the cafe boasts an array of coffee drinks, from drip coffee to decadent espresso beverages. With a focus on providing healthy choices for its customers, Turtle Leaf Cafe has become a popular destination for both locals and visitors.
Great cafe in Elmira. I like that it has a wide variety of choices to choose from, something for everybody. Everything we ordered was delicious. Inside has plenty of seating. It looks like this place also helps out in the community which is amazing! The only downfall I had was with the girl who took my order. I smiled and said hello, and she just stared at me, did not greet me or anything I was turned off to be honest. Maybe she was having a bad day, who knows. Everyone else I came into contact with was very nice and professional.
Holly W — Google review
It was refreshing to find a different cafe around in Elmira with better vegetarian food options. $38 for a flatbread, panini, and a small mocha + tips. 😐; seems overpriced. 2 hardworking servers, overwhelmed with orders. Chips & salsa tasted like a generic brand. Panini needs some more fillings. Flat bread was good. Hot Mocha was quite hot.
Siddhesh — Google review
Stopped in today for the first time. I got a sausage egg and cheese on a plain bagel. They offer plain or everything only. Everything on the bagel was great. The bagel was just ok at best. My co-worker had a breakfast burrito and was not impressed. Staff was very nice.
Dave E — Google review
I was in Elmira so I decided to a stop at turtle leaf for the first time in a while. Ordered a strawberry turkey brie and began waiting. While I’m waiting one of the employees comes out from the back and asked if anyone had picked up the strawberry turkey Brie with no pesto yet. Another employee said no I don’t know who ordered that. So I end up waiting about 15 minutes for my sandwich and the girl comes out and says what was your order again? I said strawberry turkey brie she goes the one without pesto? I said no a normal one. So I see them go in the back and she comes back out with my sandwich I leave and when I open it in my car sure enough it’s the strawberry turkey brie that had been sitting on the counter for 15 minutes that was made with no pesto only now they added fresh pesto to it. It was cold, the cheese was no longer melted and it wasn’t the sandwich I ordered. The place has really gone downhill. Last time at turtle leaf.
Will K — Google review
Great breakfast sandwiches, but being that i paid for double portions of sausage bacon and eggs on my cinnamon bagel and didn't get it, i give a 1 star (idiots and laziness ruin a reputation fast). The one star is for the extra money I paid to not get what I asked for and the attitude I have now, being that I drove back home, got undressed and immediately got pissed off after discovering this monstrosity. Will change review when I come back if this doesn't happen again.
Zaye B — Google review
Definitely use to be one of my favorite restaurants. Being a vegetarian and wanting fresh healthy food I use to eat there very often. Turtle Leaf Cafe food quality and food prep are definitely lacking ... Tried to contact the owner through his email to discuss my concerns and share photos of my most resent experience, but never got a response .. That alone tells me lots . These two sandwiches were 23 dollars and they both were a huge disappointment ..

We used to love this cafe, and have been trying to visit for the past few years but they are closed on Sunday. Finally, we tried coming up on a Friday morning and they listed a "Closed for medical emergency" sign on the door. Disappointing. Will not come back.

Chinese restaurant
Delivery Restaurant
Nestled in Elmira, Beijing Garden is a delightful Chinese eatery that has become a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike. This charming cafe-style restaurant specializes in classic Chinese cuisine, offering both takeout and dine-in options. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, reminiscent of traditional dining experiences from the past. Guests rave about the beautifully presented dishes like Egg Foo Yong and Tangerine Beef, which are not only delicious but also artfully arranged on plates.
I don't have r anything negative to say about this place. Good is always fresh , I recommend the Orange Chicken, and if you don't like it with a mild bite just ask for no spice. But I get it as is and it's just superb 👌 always fresh right from the pan . So yes it's really hot 🔥 when it arrives to the table. The people there are friendly . It is a bit crowded with the tables however that's easily managed and easy to overlook. Prices are with in reason as well nothing to crazy . This is my to go place when my son comes to visit .
Amanda — Google review
Food was okay. Could use some more flavor and more veggies. Prices were great. Restaurant could use a big upgrade especially the restrooms. Waitress was attentive.
Alicia — Google review
A nice Chinese restaurant with good food, an affable host, and good service. I like my food a bit spicy, and although the Kung Poa Chicken is already listed as hot and spicy, I know many Chinese restaurants have lowered the spiciness to better suit some Americans tastes. I asked for extra spicy and got just what I wanted. Nice dining atmosphere as well. If you like Chinese food, it's a great place to go.
Ron M — Google review
Food was very good with lots of options. The rice noodles "Mei Fun" were very good. The dumplings were delicious. Our waiter was very helpful and funny, giving us suggestions. We would all recommend Beijing Garden if you are looking a good chinese restaurant, to go or eat in.
Chris — Google review
I was excited to try this place but was VERY disappointed with what I received. I paid almost over $100 and the portion sizes for only the 3 dishes, side of fried rice and a soup was upsetting for the price I paid. The portion sizes are small so if you are expecting bigger portions for at least $12 per then just order from somewhere else. I ordered moo-shu pork and it was very bitter like it was reheated to many times.
Lisa L — Google review
The chair was dirty from the Hoisin sauce spot, but besides that, the overall is very clean, with no dust. The server forgot to add shrimp to the order but promptly responded to fixed. The kung pao sauce was too salty. The mixed fried rice was excellent. The free hot tea is lovely. The atmosphere was decent. There were a lot of takeout orders. Overall, it was better than I expected. I was satisfied and will go back. 😀
June L — Google review
Always have friendly staff and never really had an issue with them. Food is always pretty good and nicely priced. However, I don't know HOW you forget to put noodles in chow mein. I had to leech off of someone elses lo mein because they had me eating chicken and celery.
Chace C — Google review
I have to say, whenever coming to Beijing Gardens, whether it be for lunch or dinner; I have never been disappointed in any way. What a lovely experience. The ambiance is serene and subdued, with authentic Asian tunes playing in the background and a tastefully decorated space. The service is excellent. Today, our waiter, Michael, was helpful, diligent in making sure our needs were met, and was a very entertaining fellow who was a pleasure to talk with. The food was excellent. Not over spiced, and dietary instructions were followed to the letter. Our appetizer, the fried dumplings were delicious, and our entrees followed suit. We left very satisfied. The serving of a hot pot of complimentary Asian tea with homemade fried noodles and duck sauce made the experience complete. We drive a distance to enjoy Bejing Gardens, but it is always worth the trip.

Moretti's is an upscale steakhouse that offers a variety of high-quality meals, including their signature filet, in a cozy and intimate multi-room setting. Guests have raved about the delicious dishes such as ravioli with meat sauce, shrimp scampi, ground sirloin steak, and perfectly cooked ribeye steak. The old-fashioned decor adds to the warm and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant.
We just had the best meal ever, my daughter had the raviolis with meat sauce she said they were hot and the sauce was excellent. My son in law had shrimp scampi and he said it was very good. My sister had a ground sirloin steak cooked to her liking and I had a ribeye steak cooked to perfection Pittsburgh style it was big enough for two people and cooked exactly the way I asked. The decor is old fashion and very warm made you feel cozy and glad to be there. The staff was spot on and the wait for the food was expected for something that was not frozen or microwaved.

6 of us went to dinner here. It's an old out of date restaurant and the place was almost empty. Counting us, there were 3 tables with customers. The waiter was friendly and prompt. We ordered dinner without appetizers. I ordered ribeye steak medium rare. My girlfriend ordered shrimp scampi. The meals came with salad which was brought to the table right away. The salad was a touch wilty but not bad. My steak was cooked to perfection. It was at least 16 oz. I ate every bite. My girlfriend said her shrimp scampi was delicious. Shrimp snappy and fresh. All in all, a good experience. We'll definitely be back.
Tom L — Google review
After waiting 35 minutes just to be acknowledged by the waitress, I was starving. We had a table of 10, we order our drinks and food all at once. I ordered spaghetti with meat balls and a "garden" salad, thinking I'd receive some fresh leafy greens because of the high prices only to get oily Italian dressing and bagged salad... the garlic bread our table shared was greasy and tasted like vegetable oil. I could have had better tasting spaghetti out of a jar and the meatballs were so over seasoned. I live out of state and was visiting family. But i definitely wouldn't return, the decor is outdated and so is the food. The prices are outrageous when I could be getting better food at Olive Garden! This place is running on nostalgia.
Jessica L — Google review
Never hurts to make a reservation, but even if you don't they will always try to fit in parties of any size. The tender fillet medallions melt in your mouth with delicious flavor, with a garlic scampi style of sauce to rest in. The sooner salad with Italian dressing is spectacular, especially if you requires the crumbly blue cheese on it as well. The side dish of pasta has a very flavorful tomato flavor. The servers will always accommodate parties for birthdays and any other special occasions. Definitely enjoy some meals here and avoid the chain restaurants, you will not regret the choice.
Nitro N — Google review
For valentines day they were unprepared and understaffed. Seated in a dining room with no heat. Everyone in room had their winter coats on. Waited 3 hours for steaks that were so raw no one including tables around us, as in people we had never met, could eat their meal. Then after watching multiple tables get up and just leave this house of horrors we received a $300.00 bill. My raw filet is in my fridge, will be cooking it later tonight. Do not go here, if you look at my other reviews. I am fair, probably too nice but this was by far the WORST dinning experience I have ever had.
Jonathan R — Google review
For the cost, it wasn't worth it. It was advertised as an upscale restaurant and it definitely was not. I was in a dress and my husband in khakis and we were very overdressed. We ordered basic dishes and they were okay but not authentic. They seemed just like the big chains. When I ordered at baked potato, I got HALF of a potato. I'd prefer a smaller potato over half of one. The canoli was the only good thing. We will not go back.
Jennifer P — Google review
Went there for Valentine’s Day made reservations a hour before, we showed up and They couldn’t find our name anywhere. The old man standing at the counter gave me grief about where I worked when he saw my coat I was wearing. Finally got seated ordered food and waited over 2 hours to get our food. Once we got our food the plates where cold and food was barely warm. I ordered a broiled ribeye and paid 39.99 for it, I ended up getting food poisoning and puking it up at 3 in the morning. My wife’s lasagna was burnt and cold. Just a horrible experience all the way around
Marc R — Google review
Appetizers were decent. Fried clams and french onion soup. Pasta sauce tasted like it was cooked WAY too long in a crockpot and had a burnt flavor that wouldn't go away...ordered strawberry cheesecake to get the flavor out of my mouth and the strawberries had started to ferment and way overpriced

The menu also caters to various dietary preferences with vegetarian and gluten-free options available.
Came with my wife, loved it so much I came back with a group of friends. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Brewed me a fresh pot of coffee even at closing time at their own suggestion. The food was great from appetizers to dessert. The owner introduced himself to us. Very friendly. Very yummy. I wish I could could eat their more often. My favorite restaurant in Elmira area. Plan to spend a little bit of money if you go. But we'll worth it.

We stopped for dinner before a show. Everything was amazing. The staff were wonderful. The fried calamari appetizer was really something special best I have ever had. My steak was cooked perfectly. My parents had clams in red sauce which was delicious. My wife had homemade pasta and sausage which I tried and was very good. Side salads were simple and perfect served with fresh bread. Drinks from the bar were made just as I requested. What a great place to start out a special night.

Amazing meal! The bone-in pork chop is absolutely phenomenal; so juicy and tender and flavorful! The scallops with pesto spinach risotto are also a hit. As for the atmosphere, there was live music adding to the quiet personal ambience of the place. Everyone was so friendly, including those sitting around you. Highly recommend 10/10!!

One of the best mom and pop style restaurants in the Elmira New York area. Excellent service with spectacular menu options. The menu does offer specials depending upon the season so the selection is never dull. The chef can specialize options to meet dietary needs. So not hesitate in experiencing this fine place.

I hate to give a review this negative. I think their cook has ruined their sense of taste through smoking. Everything was WAYYYY over salted, to the point of ruining the food. I've known a few chefs who smoke too much and they all over salt their food. Also the wine i ordered was corked...
Jonus M — Google review
Simply awesome. A little out of the way place that's a golden gem. Super nice staff, excellent food that is flavorful and social media post worthy, if you're into that sort of thing. My wife and I moved to Elmira 8 years ago and we just discovered this place recently, been there twice so far and we both agree it's our new favorite spot for date night. A Little on the expensive side of things , but this is no corporate franchise, it's a local treasure, totally worth it.

Came here for my one year anniversary with my girlfriend. Had a wonderful experience, with plenty of excellent dishes, including the bacon wrapped scallops, crab rangoon, stir fry with beef tips, and a good Delmonico steak. All courses were good, though my girlfriend did think the French Onion soup was a little on the weaker side. Dinner was rounded off with some excellent dessert, a cheesecake slice with caramel sauce, and peanut butter pie. Highly recommend, the restaurant has an intimate ambiance with small seating area. Parking is on the street only, and with limited seating a reservation is recommended on the weekend.

Hometown favorite for many. Great for intimate family dinners. Real restaurant vibe ypu just can't get from the chain restaurants.

Nestled in the charming town of Elmira, Anderson's Cozy Corner is a delightful diner that embodies the essence of a classic eatery. This quaint spot specializes in breakfast, offering an array of mouthwatering options like pancakes, omelets, sausages, and French toast—all at wallet-friendly prices. Many patrons rave about their ability to enjoy a hearty breakfast for two without breaking the bank. Regular visitors appreciate not only the delicious food but also the friendly staff who make each visit enjoyable.
Awesome little dive! I would recommend 100%! Andrea is AWESOME! Can't beat the price or the taste! 😋
Johnny R — Google review
The taste of the food is a 10 out of 10. Everything is made fresh. Everything we had tasted great!! Prices are better then great. The only downside is the inside of the building is old. Kind of depressing. Not allot of light at all. The condiments were less then desirable. But the taste of the food is so good you hardly need any. Their hours are short. I highly recommend eating here. Even if it's take out. We will definitely be returning!!
Maureen H — Google review
This is the perfect local coffee shop. The food is good, the prices can't be beat. There's no "franchise" feel or fancy dishes. The place has definitely got an abundance of character. The staff is always friendly and outgoing. There's always laughter to be heard and an upbeat attitude. Anderson's Cozy Corner is absolutely a homegrown treasure
Nicole D — Google review
This our weekly breakfast spot. There are a LOT of regulars. We hit this place every Sunday, and the food is good, the prices fair, and the coffee is my favorite. Service is always friendly, you might have to wait a bit when they are busy, but that's because they are cooking your food up fresh. Take out or eat in, this place is a great place to go. 10/10 would recommend.
Kimberly — Google review
A solid middling experience. 👌 Even hung over as all heck, the food was still "necessary, but not great." There are better greasy spoon diners, but this was not terrible. FYI, you can just park out back.
Ranma S — Google review
I’m a sucker for barstool diners. Friendly staff. Building is old. Bathroom is old but clean enough. Obviously a small town diner. Everone knows everyone. Wish it was closer to home. I would be a repeat customer. Food was good.

Was in Elmira, NY visiting my cousin and we wanted breakfast. Don who lives in the area suggested this place and it was the perfect choice for our needs. Service was a little slow, however I'm looking at it from a city living perspective. The menu is simple and the food was delicious. I tried Buckwheat pancakes for the first time and they were phenomenal. I can't remember what I had, not that it wasn't good it's because I smoke weed so my memory is bad, however I remember it being quite delicious 😋. The staff was friendly and the place has very simple decor. I'm sure I will never go back(distance and I hate NY), however it will always be a pleasant memory of my Vacation with my mother for my cousins retirement, anniversary and birthday party! (The pic is from us on the road not at the location)

We enjoy our weekly (at least) visits to "the corner" as we call it. Good food at reasonable prices. Nice staff! Edit: added a photo. We still enjoy regular visits to the corner. Very affordable for most anyone.

We had a lot of fun here. Bring cash! The kiddie rides are best for shorter kids. My 4yo was perfect size, but my very tall 7yo was too tall for some of the rides. The golf and arcade was fun.

Hours posted last Sunday where open until 8pm. We took our granddaughter to play putt putt and we got there at 1pm only to find them closed. They had no electricity and had to shut down at 10am. As to no fault of theirs we should have called ahead. The other times we have been there since I was a youngster, it's great family fun. Go carts, kids amusement rides, driving range, batting cage, and a free 3 hole golf course.
Darrick D — Google review
This amusement park is incredible. It has games and rides for all ages. The driving clubs need to be updated. The airhockey game is our favorite. There is something for everyone. Must stop!!
Kris F — Google review
Had a great experience. Things are reasonably priced. There's something for everyone too. Golf driving range, Go kart track and an arcade! There are amusement park rides for small children under age 10. Miniature Golf course and batting cages!
Justin B — Google review
Outstanding place with a beautifully antiquated out of time feel. Have gone here off and on since I was a child, and it still has retained that wonderfully magic and wholesome environment. Perfect place for families, picnics, arcade game marathons and has an adjacent pool and picnic grounds. Very much reasonably priced, with long time staple games being putt putt, golf t off, batting cages and go carts. A really beautiful locale services it justice, and you’re not far from the renowned soaring capital of America, with the Harris Hill soaring museum and gliders. You very likely will see their aviation display in the skies above. Fantastic management and service. Highly recommended.
Luke D — Google review
The picnic areas were very nice. They were litter free, and well maintained. Take your own bag for trash. We took the kids to ride the carnival type kiddie rides. These are definitely for the young, like under 6 to 8 kids. The ride times were long enough to feel you got what you paid for. Parents were allowed in as needed for the toddlers. Then we tried our the pool. The young adults and children went in. The old folks that weren't swimming sat outside the pool enclosure because they charge to go in regardless of whether you swim. That was the biggest issue I had while at Harris hill. Overall, a pleasant day. We'll be going back.

It's a nice little park with putt-putt, kiddie rides, batting cages, driving range, an arcade, and go carts...simple foods are also available. Large picnic area adjacent as well as a pool and nearby overlook of the Chemung River Valley. Harris Hill is famous for It's great thermals/lift therefore gliders and tow planes are often overhead.

This is a great place to meet with family and friends to have a picnic and enjoy the activities. At sunset you can go take in the beautiful view at the top of the hill, and watch the gliders take off and land.

Wonderful museum highlighting the history of soaring. I have more images, and will add them as I find them. Docent was very knowlegeable, especially with the WWII soaring and females who became important figures in the industry. Nice gift shop with books and other items to purchase while there. I thought it was a very interesting place to visit.

The National Soaring Museum is a must-visit for anyone interested in the history of motorless flying. It offers an impressive collection of artifacts and exhibits that trace the origins, evolution, and ongoing tradition of gliding. The history here is rich and well-presented, making it a fascinating stop for aviation enthusiasts. A special mention goes to Adam, who made our visit even more memorable. He shared insightful details about the museum’s exhibits and was thoughtful enough to remind us when the race was about to begin. During my visit, there was an exciting glider race with 26 participants. Watching the gliders take off and land was an unforgettable, thrilling experience that brought the museum’s history to life. If you’re passionate about aviation or curious about the origins of motorless flight, the National Soaring Museum is definitely worth a visit!
Viz R — Google review
We absolutely loved this museum filled with rich history of soaring, beautifully preserved aircrafts, memorabilia of aviation pioneers and history of NGA. Thanks to Adam for welcoming us and engaging our interest. We spent about 1.5 hour there exploring.

While on a motorcycle trip to Watkins Glen, we stumbled upon this wonderful museum. Splendidly curated, its exhibits will keep your attention for hours.
Jeremy S — Google review
The National Soaring Museum is a hidden gem for aviation enthusiasts and families alike. It beautifully showcases the history and evolution of glider inventions, from the earliest pioneers of flight to modern soaring innovations. The exhibits are well-curated, blending detailed technical displays with fascinating stories that bring the world of unpowered flight to life.
Sateswar S — Google review
My family had an unexpectedly amazing time. Adam was an excellent host and taught us all so much about gliders. So cool to see an actual glider take off and land. Even if you think you might not be into it - I highly recommend going anyway! You’ll be surprised.

I got into town too late for to see the nature center however, the trails are fantastic! The nature center closes at 4 pm, but you can use the trails until sundown. There's a nice variety of scenery, from ponds, to open meadows, to gorgeous overlooks, to cool shady trails surrounded by trees. I thought this would just be a good way to burn some time, but I ended up really enjoying it here. Bring bug spray and wear long pants as there are tall grasses here that may have ticks.
Thirteendays — Google review
This place is a hidden gem, designed for children and animal loving adults. The animals all have names with a small amount of reading about each one. We enjoyed checking out the tree house and the displays of taxidermy. The gift shop had plenty to choose from. Outside, the aviation allowed us to get close to some large birds. Lots of native plants decorated the area. There were a couple of trails. We tried the small sensory trail and found deer tracks. Bring your lunch and eat at one of the picnic areas. Tanglewood is right around the corner from the soaring museum and the nostalgic amusement park. It would be easy to make a day of it!
Mypurplescience — Google review
Great spot to see a lot of neat animals. We didn’t get to take the trails but got to see some awesome animals. Definitely a great place to pop into.
Stephanie H — Google review
Very nice hike, my family has been coming here for years. As a kid I loved the learning center but I haven't been there in years so I can't really give it a review. The trails were extremely muddy so maybe take hiking boots or don't wear newer or light colored sneakers. The overlook trail can be a bit steep but the view was really nice.
A G — Google review
Had an hour to fill. Drove to Tanglewood Nature Center. It's a lovely facility in a beautiful location. It's that simple. If you're in the area and you like some moderate hiking or need something to occupy your children for a bit. It's a great, healthy, inexpensive choice.
M T — Google review
The animals inside are in too-small enclosures and need more enrichment. Some even trying to escape. The children that were there scared the chinchillas. The outdoor animals (birds) seemed depressed as well. I wish they were all at a larger sanctuary as it just made me sad to see. There are many options for the hiking trails. We did the red trail which is the longest and seemed the hardest, 3 miles total. It gives essentially just one great view at the turning point but good exploration of different niches of the forest.
RJ L — Google review
Tanglewood is great! They have an animal exhibit which is fun for kids and Oliver the owl, well, he is pretty cool! The trails are well marked and they give you the mileage so you know how long each one is which is awesome. The view of the Chemung River is gorgeous once you’re at the top! Definitely a great park!

Charleys Cheesesteaks is a popular counter-service chain that specializes in mouthwatering Philly-style cheesesteaks, loaded fries, and refreshing lemonades. The atmosphere buzzes with energy as the skilled staff prepares your meal right before your eyes, ensuring everything is fresh and delicious. While it can get busy at times, the efficient team keeps things moving smoothly. Diners rave about the flavorful cheesesteaks and freshly squeezed lemonade that adds a delightful touch to their meals.
The food and service here are always on point. The options are very tasty and cooked in front of you. This restaurant has stayed the same over the years and serves delicious, hot, food every single time.

They always have good food however tried to call an order for us to pick up. They wanted me to give my credit card over the phone. Didn't happen. Went to Five Guys instead.

Halfway decent Philly for a horrible value. Charged $1.49 to change the cheese from Provolone to American and charged $1.20 for hot sauce. Will never go here again.

Some of the fries didn’t even taste done and then I look at my sub and my appetite is simply gone this “sub” looks like you rolled dirty meat in provolone and American cheese together and just put some sauce on a bun and slapped it in a container complete waste of my time and money

They must have changed the steak seasons it wasn't not as good as I've had at the ones in other locations. I asked for lite lettuce I got haf a head of lettuce. Asked for no tomatoes and got tomatoes. Asked for extra cheese and extra mayo got very little. I do not believe I will eat at Charley's again I used to make a point of finding one on my travels.

Nestled in the heart of Elmira, New York, The Elbow Room is a beloved bar and eatery that has been serving locals since 1996. This charming spot is conveniently located near Mark Twain's gravesite, making it an ideal stop for those exploring the area. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and cash-only policy, patrons can enjoy a variety of delicious offerings after placing their orders at the bar.
Classic Elmira wing place that's a must stop whenever I make it back to my hometown. Wings are classic. Burgers perfect. Fried food heaven. They get backed up quick during dinner service, but be patient it's worth it and drinks are more than reasonable. A lot of regulars, but newcomers are welcome with "open arms."
Bill J — Google review
Cash only. ATM on site but I think the fee was $4+. You order at the bar and then the food is brought to your table. We had a large party of 12 and came for lunch. Sat in the back which was a little on the chilly side so wear layers. Bathrooms were clean. We came because we heard they have the best wings on town. Everyone in our party who ordered some said they were fantastic. I ordered the grilled cheese. It was undercooked so it was more like a cheese sandwich. But it was still good. Ordered boneless wings for the kids because they don't have a kid's menu. Kids enjoyed their food. Next time we come back to this area, we'll be visiting again.
Jenny A — Google review
What a pleasant surprise, I thought this was just a bar room. The service was very good. I had a fish fry and my sister had a salad we had fried cauliflower and cheese curds. All were cooked perfectly and the fish was surprisingly good. Great spot for a quick meal

I am going with just 3 stars I'm sorry to say. We have enjoyed Elbow rooms wings for over 40 yrs... not this time. Did you change the recipe? If so....why? It was perfect. The wings we just ate were neither hot 🔥 or saucy. They were dry and boring. Will have to rethink trying these again... 😔
Brenda S — Google review
I ordered their wings and they had the perfect portion size of 15 wings other places have yet to get 10 or 20 they were cooked exactly the way I like them crispy outside tender inside I do tend to come back
Penn 1 — Google review
I’m leaving this review in hopes someone at the Elbow Room will see it. I’ve given you 5 star reviews. For 20+ years I’ve said you guys set the bar for wings. Best wings I’ve had and I’ve lived many places. I went there last week and I asked for crispy wings. They were torched. Not crispy. They were clearly cooked wings that were tossed in the fryer. Some of the worst wings I’ve ever eaten in my life. And your famous blue cheese… gone. Clearly Ken’s blue cheese in a plastic container. What are you guys doing? I can no longer support this. I’ve never in my life seen such a dip in quality. It hurts my feelings.
Nathan A — Google review
The food used to be good, tonight it wasn't. We got two char-grilled cheese burgers, fries and wings. Couldn't tell if the burgers were char-grilled. The only taste was an old meat taste like the burgers were rotting. We didn't eat them. The wings used to be great, they were just crispy with no real taste, and the mild sauce had no taste either. Very disappointed, won't be back for rotting food.
Don M — Google review
Ive been coming to this place for over thirty years, always hit the spot. Despite the fact I moved away twenty five years ago, I always make coming to this establishment a priority when visiting. I heard the quality had sunk in the last year or so… I had to see for myself. WOW! I was shocked! First and foremost, the same carpet that has been in the bar the last 30 or so years was sticky throughout and the whole bar smelled of some strong cheap industrial deodorizer in an attempt to clean it. My gut reaction was to immediately leave. Despite not being a particularly busy night, we kept having to go to the bar to correct our order. The food was the worst I have ever had here. The wings were atrocious. Dry, overcooked, no sauce, no seasoning. I didnt even finish them! I hope Shawn sees this and can turn it around. What a shame!
