Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards is a charming vineyard that has been in the Hazlitt family since 1852. The property has seen significant improvements, including a large horseshoe-shaped bar and a pavilion with live music on Friday evenings. It's also home to the Red Cat Cellars Brand facility, making it a top wine tasting destination in the Finger Lakes region.
This place was a hopping spot. Lots of bridal parties and pups. They have outdoor seating and games on the Oasis side and then wine tasting on the other. We also tried the dumplings from the food truck. Can't beat made fresh to order. Would definitely come back again
Shera S — Google review
Hazlitt was by far my favorite winery we visited on our trip to Seneca Lake. I've been drinking Red Cat for many years, so it was cool to see the actual winery. They also have ciders! There was a little coy pond, and you could feed the fish. The overall vibe was very fun and energetic. Will definitely be stopping on our next trip! The little song at the beginning of the tasting explains a lot! If you know you know... 🤭
Kelly D — Google review
If your in the area you'll definitely enjoy stopping here wonderful atmosphere friendly staff lots of varieties to choose from after leaving it looks like a wine store in our car the outdoor area was great place to sit and enjoy a wine slushie always enjoy stopping by
Lewis K — Google review
I know there are a lot of winery options in the area, but if you do not stop here - you are doing yourself a disservice. I visited a handful of wineries throughout my stay but none even stood a chance to providing the same quality wine, staff and atmosphere of Hazlitt. I came for my birthday trip and they were the highlight of my trip. The group of ladies behind the bar feel like friends on arrival. Everyone is so friendly / nice. Ann was an absolute joy to meet and converse with during our wine flight. She had great recommendations and I definitely shopped and ended up leaving with SO MUCH WINE because they all were DELICIOUS. I already can’t wait to get back.
Caitlin S — Google review
My preference is dry wines, I did not expect quality dry wines when walking into the tasting room to a red cat and drinking chants were happening. But once I started the tasting I was excited and surprised. The staff was knowledgeable and the wines were on par with some of the best around the lake. I would highly recommend. ( The red cat and Hazlitt wines are truly different brands, if the red cat steers you away give Hazlitt a chance, amazing wines)
Cory S — Google review
Great wine selection. The tasting was awesome. One of our favorites! The popcorn was a nice touch.
Edwin V — Google review
This is the first winery I had ever gone to. We were staying in Watkins Glenn and wanted to try one of the many wineries in the area. We happened to pick this one because it was fairly close. What luck! It turns out Hazlitt is one of the larger wine producers in the area and the makers of a super famous line of wines called Red Cat. The tasting room was a great experience. The person who led the tasting was very friendly and informative. We liked most of the wines and ended up buying a number of bottles to take along. I highly recommend this winery if you are in the Seneca Lake area. If you aren't from New York, make sure you buy LOTs of bottles before you leave because this wine is almost impossible to find in other states. I had to order some on-line to replenish my stock!
Joel D — Google review
Great place. Everyone was very welcoming. We had a nice wine tasting experience and visited the cute gift shop where we purchased our favorite wines. We ended our visit at the Oasis enjoying a drink while soaking in the awesome vibe.

Nestled in the picturesque Finger Lakes region, Penguin Bay Winery is a delightful stop for wine enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. With an impressive selection of wines to sample, including their renowned sweet and ice wines, this winery offers something for every palate. The tasting room boasts stunning views of the lake, which can be enjoyed even more from the outdoor seating area. Guests have praised the knowledgeable staff who are eager to guide you through their diverse offerings.
First of all, Helene and Sharon are awesome and knowledgeable about the wines they serve. Second, it is a grave mistake on new ownership to get rid of the Penguin Bay wines. They are delicious. Not everyone wants a sweet and fruity wine like the ones featured from Montezuma. The dry reds from Penguin Bay are fantastic and should be kept in stock -- some of the better dry wines I have tried on Seneca, especially the cab franc. Please keep these wines. Also, no more donating to penguins? Shame on you.
Shannon G — Google review
My group of 4 and I arrived for my birthday celebration at promptly 4:30pm. We had a busy day and this was the earliest we could arrive. I was SO excited for a tasting since I am infamous for loving penguins and wine, but we were refused a tasting and was only offered a single glass of wine for the same price as a tasting. Only my dad and I wanted to taste. This obviously did NOT help me choose what I wanted to buy. The staff was not friendly and quite snarky. Sadly, we left without a single bottle but went down the street for a much better experience. The other winery was closing in soon as well, but they gave us a tasting and even let us in to buy a bottle after they had closed. Don’t waste your time here.
Jodie B — Google review
I loved the wine at this winery but the service was terrible. We arrived at 4pm on a Friday. One staff member working. The bar was full for tastings and we were told we had to sit before we could have a drink so we waited for tastings. We sat at about 4:10 and didn’t get our first glass until 435. Mean while other people are checking out with bottles and getting glasses at the end of the bar even though we were told we had to sit to get a drink. Finally we start our tasting of 7 wines. She begins to tell us that she needs to be done by 5pm. I thought this was extremely rude considering we had to wait 20 minutes before our first drink. So at 4:50pm we still had 4 wines to try and had to chug those. I feel that if you were behind you should not have rushed people that were there for almost an hour.
Nicole C — Google review
Patrick and TJ were so welcoming and very knowledgeable about the different types of wines they offer. I usually enjoy sweeter wines but have been getting into dry and the dry wine flight is the way to go! It is amazing and I truly enjoyed my experience. Great views, great atmosphere, and even better staff! I could not recommend more!
Michaela S — Google review
Incredibly rude staff. They stop tasting around 4:30 pm and unbeknownst to us, we reached there around 4:35. People before us in the line got served and we were shot down rudely and without any concern. Unprofessional and disgusting behavior. Just like their staff, their wine has no style or substance. I would recommend any other place in NY state but this.
Jishant B — Google review
You won’t regret stopping here. We had the sweet flight and shared.nice size samples. We walked out with one of each and a few doubles. I however don’t like sparkling wine but that’s a personal preference. Finger lakes has so many wineries this is one I wouldn’t skip. Friendly hostess and clean environment with a few gifts on the shelves.
L O — Google review
Just arrived on a Sunday during a holiday weekend. Only one employee to handle the front of the place and do the tastings. We’ve been waiting since we paid up front for our serving while he checks other parties in and out. No idea about the quality of the wine yet but at this point it really doesn’t matter. There is a beautiful view of the vineyard and lake but no direct access from the building to the seating area outside to enjoy it without having to go out front and walk around the building. Just not very well thought out IMO.
Lewis T — Google review
TJ is greqt and always remembers us. Their blackberry slushie is delicious as well as the blackberry wine!! I visit often and recommend everyone check it out.

Leidenfrost Vineyards, established in 1990, offers 21 unique wine specialties and produces limited edition wines with an annual output of 3,000 cases. Situated along the Seneca Lake Wine Trail, this winery provides a perfect experience for wine enthusiasts. The beautifully designed interior features large wooden beams and a picturesque porch offering stunning lake views. Visitors praise the helpful and knowledgeable staff who provide excellent service during tastings.
This is an amazing spot to stop in the Finger Lakes. This was my 2nd time visiting, and both times, years apart, were fantastic. They offer a wide range of wine options and wine based cocktails. They allow dogs in the tasting room, plus have plenty of outdoor seating overlooking the lake. We ended up leaving with a case of wine because we enjoyed everything we tasted. The man pouring our tasting was engaging and very knowledgeable.
Kelly B — Google review
Love the wine here, the views and everything in between! Staff is super friendly and accommodating to us and our dogs and it’s the perfect way to spend the day off. Thanks for a great experience!

Great variety of wine! And so flexible on flights. Connor helped with our tasting and though it is not a family winery per se, we played a game and the staff were kind to all of us. Great views. Would come again!
Erin Z — Google review
Stopped here to try some wines and were not disappointed. We were received by Connor, who was very attentive and made the whole tasting a fantastic experience. The white wines are definitely the highlight and you get to enjoy your favorite with an beautiful view. Will definitely come here again

We arrived at the winery and asked if the three of us could do a tasting. The bartender then asked for our total party size, and we said eleven (but the remainder planned on having a glass and remained outside). He informed us that they don’t split groups, and in a very rude tone said, “This is real life—this is a hard line. We can’t do it.” I replied, “We need to talk to the group,” and left. We understand if this is a policy, but as first-time visitors genuinely interested in trying your wines, we would have appreciated a more courteous explanation. If he’d said, “I’m sorry, but our policy doesn’t allow splitting groups,” it likely wouldn’t have been an issue. Instead, he offered only full-glass tastings (four or five of them) and said we could only drink outside with an attitude. I had emailed the owner about a reservation but never received a response. I hope no other customers are treated this way. EDIT: I just found the owner’s reply from July 30 in my spam folder after this incident, in which they clearly stated this policy. Even so, you would expect winery staff to treat potential customers with respect. Unfortunately this isn’t the first review where the staff had been called out for disrespectful behavior.
Jude M — Google review
An absolutely perfect experience in every way at this winery! The wines are excellent, the building interior is beautifully designed and appointed. I love the large, exposed wooden beams and dowel pin construction. The lake views taken in at the porch are gorgeous. The exterior from the road looks like it needs some sprucing up. However, they've spent their time and money on the more important interior. As is often the case, our server, Leslie, made our visit very special. She was very friendly, engaging, knowledgeable about the wines and made my wife and I feel like guests in her home. We were so very glad we came!
Mike S — Google review
Unpretentious building, situated on the hillside above Seneca lake. A beautiful peaceful view. To me this was a proper, comfortable tasting. Discussing traits, notes and history. The wine is excellent...pinot rose my favorite. Pricing is fair. There is a small assortment of snacks and other beverages. This winery impresses with its dedication to the craft. Not out to make a buck. Just a honest representation of its wares. Pet friendly, shady area with picnic tables, a few chairs set up to enjoy the view.
Amy G — Google review
The location is right in the stretch of some really great wineries. It is not new like some of the others on the outside, but definitely has an old world type of charm to it. The two servers were both friendly. We hit on an off peak weekday, so we gathered around the bar area with a few other groups. As for the wines, there were some really great whites. We prefer dry reds and white. I will say I was surprised at how good their forced carbonated Lucky Lady Riesling was. For those with a dog, we did notice a couple there, so there are allowed. If you want something unique, stop in and give them a try!

Hector Wine Company, located at Sawmill Creek Vineyards, has been operating for centuries and is known for its handpicked grapes and meticulous sorting process. This small winery follows sustainable practices in the vineyard and minimal intervention in winemaking, offering a diverse range of wines from sweet to dry. Visitors praise the warm hospitality and excellent service, with staff members providing helpful recommendations based on individual preferences. The picturesque landscape adds to the welcoming atmosphere, making it a standout destination along Seneca Lake.
Noelle was great! The wine defection was perfect. The cheese selection with the crackers were perfect! If you are in NY on Seneca lake try this place!

Syrah! Syrah! So happy to discover Hector wines and find some of my favorite varieties not common in the finger lakes. Their ability to grow grapes for dry, full bodies wines is phenomenal. Noelle was a great guide for our tasting experience, she was super knowledgeable about the wines and gave great recommendations for the area.

Love love love hector wine! The staff is so friendly and the wine is just as nice. Super chill vibe here I could drink here all day. You will easily buy a case or two and join their club. It feels like Home here. Whether you like red or white both of their wines dance beautifully on your taste buds. They are known for the reds and with good reason. I don’t have many photos because I was too busy drinking and tasting all the wine and becoming a club member with my friend which regrettably so it’s under her name but I will be back there again with her. To buy and drink more wine!! We look forward to coming here every time we’re in the Finger Lakes!! Hands down one of my top best wineries in my opinion. Which will easily become your opinion too. 🙂

We walked over to the Hector Wine Company while camping at the Finger Lakes RV Resort next door. We purchased a couple of bottles of wine and many nibbles to make a Charcuterie board. We spent $157. As there is a small artisan grocery area inside, I was surprised not to see any baskets to place your goods in, so I purchased an insulated wine bag to add items to while I shopped. The gentleman working behind the bar came over to check us out. Honestly, he was lackluster and wasn’t all that friendly compared to how warm and welcoming the staff were at another winery we visited before going there. Anyway, once back home in Waterloo, we noticed that the Truffle oil we purchased (and it wasn’t cheap) had expired three months ago. Staff is clearly not removing expired stock from the shelves. If you plan to shop in their market area, please make sure you check expiration dates on everything.

Friendly staff. Some of the best wine in the finger lakes. Great Syrah and reds, as well as whites. New large outside deck is great addition. Glad we're local and can frequent this winery!

Hector Handmade is a must-visit gift shop in the area. It is highly regarded and offers a diverse range of items made within a small radius of Hector. The owners, Jesse and Jenny, carefully curate their collection, always sourcing new artists to showcase. With options for every budget, it serves as an ideal destination for finding gifts of all sizes. In addition to their impressive selection, Jesse and Jenny are local experts who can provide valuable recommendations for exploring the area further.
Wonderful shop featuring the work of local artisans. The bead bar is a lot of fun. You can create your own work of art with no assistance or with expert guidance. You choose. The original fashions are out of this world and seamlessly combine comfort and fashion.

Hector Handmade features an eclectic and fun selection of crafts from local artists, such as fabric / organic acorns, jewelry, candles, and home / kitchen decor. At the bead bar, you can make your own earrings, plus they offer a fun schedule of classes. NOTE: Seasonal business.

Such a cute shop and my 5 year old was so proud of the necklace he made - thanks to the shop owner for being helpful and patient! Beautiful hand crafted items (paintings, ornaments, soaps, jewelry, home goods). Highly recommend!

Jenny is a sweetheart. This adorable gift shop in a 1930s gas station building couldn't be any cuter. Beautiful local handmade gifts including wood, pottery, visual art and a bead bar. My friend and I had a wonderful time making a beautiful pair of earrings and a necklace. Worth stopping in and browsing! Also bought cool visual art star wars for my grandson!
Ames P — Google review
Hector Handmade is a must stop whenever I’m in the area. I’m biased as I grew up with owners Jesse and Jenny- but it really is the best. All of the items are made within a small radius of Hector (~30ish miles) and curated with care. There’s a bead bar to make your own jewelry and they are always sourcing new artists. There is something for every price point so it’s a great spot to check off gifts large and small. The owners are also local so they’ll have lots of suggestions for visiting the area and checking out cool places. One of my favorite little items to pick up are small pieces of art for under $10, Jennys watercolor jewelry and ornaments, and the acorn ornaments made with acorn caps and different scraps of fabric.

In regards to Dandy Mini Mart gas station, it is a convenient fueling and retail establishment that offers a wide range of services. This service station provides various petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel, and alternative fuels for vehicles. Additionally, it offers an array of merchandise including snacks, beverages, automotive supplies, and convenience items for customers' needs. Dandy Mini Mart ensures accessibility with multiple locations across different regions.
Stopped at this Dandy Mart looking for snacks and we were not disappointed - actually, if anything, we were overwhelmed... This place is Snack City U.S.A. Absolutely loved the place. Staff was friendly. So many great snack choices! Also, it is a Sunoco, so the gasoline is top notch (in my opinion).

Food and service are decent to good. How hard is it for non-store management to update seasonal hours of open/ operations, both the companies own website and Google say close at 10pm but sign on door-9pm.

If I could give zero stars I would. Nice little convenient store but this girl Jenny they got at the register….. holy hell. The rudest person I’ve ever met. Miserable scowl on her face, throwing items around, giving attitude, just an overall awful experience thanks to her. Also the line was to the back of the store, three other employees were milling around behind the counter but never hopped on register. Just left nasty old Jenny there while we all waited. Jenny if you’re that miserable you should quit, and after reading through the reviews this isn’t the first complaint about you. Smile honey, it won’t break your face.

The deli situation here is a joke. One guy, not set up who couldn't care less about communicating the status of orders to waiting customers. Cashier just looked at him for 10 minutes without offering help. It took over 30 minutes with no acknowledgement of it being a problem. Don't bother.

This was just a small mini mart, but it seemed to have a lot of the essentials, especially travel essentials. The gas was priced no more than other places. There was ready to eat food in a small cafe area. It was very busy but the workers were very friendly, helpful, and cordial.

Nestled in the heart of wine country, Finger Lakes RV Resort offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and recreational opportunities. The resort provides spacious camping spots with full hookups and well-maintained facilities. Visitors can explore the nearby hiking destinations, wineries, breweries, and Watkins Glen. The friendly staff and dog-friendly amenities add to the overall appeal of this peaceful retreat.
Just got home from 3 night stay. Very new RV park and I was very impressed with the design and layout. Sites spacious and spread out. Maintaining the park is obviously given a high priority judging by the immaculate bathroom and laundry facilities. They have partnered with 2 wineries within walking distance and a brewery that is a very short drive - all of which offer some sort of discount or special for guests. A few of the reviewers complained about the many rules and policies but they are communicated during the reservation process and appear to be consistently enforced. As a result, the park is quiet and orderly. I only hope I can get back when the young trees are mature. Kudos to the owners!

This campground is beautifully done! In the heart of Seneca wine country, the sites are very large and lots of space! The bathrooms were the nicest campground bathrooms I’ve ever experienced. The staff was wonderful and friendly, they offer garbage pickup and propane tank pick up right at your site. Red Newt Wine Cellar and Hector Winery are both within easy walking distance. There are another 20 or so wineries, breweries and distilleries within a 10 minute drive either direction. Such a wonderful way to spend the weekend!

Sites were very spacious and comfortable. Had a great time, beautiful view every night the sunset was amazing! The hosts were very friendly and welcoming.the chocolate chip cookies were amazing. There were so many amazing hikes close by. We were only here for a long weekend and that was not enough time. We will definitely come back to stay here. We were only able to touch the surface of the hiking trails available. There are an amazing number of wineries and breweries with foodand tastings. The camping sites remind us of how camping sites used to be.

Finger Lakes RV is a beautiful resort with a lot of distance between campsites. We had a wonderful time staying there for a week. The owners are visible and genuinely care about the guests having a good time. The entire resort was clean and there were plenty of dog waste stations. The dog park was centrally located and clean. The pavilion was perfect for a group and the brand new clubhouse is a great amenity. The surrounding area is gorgeous with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby - and of course there are many wineries!
Michelle L — Google review
We love this campground. We try to get to the Finger Lakes every fall, and this year we were a little earlier than usual, but still enjoyed the stay. Unfortunately we got some rain, but it was the perfect time to catch up on some laundry, in their all facility which is clean and state of the art. We also loved the new addition of the clubhouse with pool table and workout room. The bathhouse is also immaculate. The campground is also walking distance between 2 wineries via a trail to the properties. It's a nice and relaxing place to stay.

My wife and I stayed here over our anniversary week, which happened to coincide with our taking delivery of our first travel trailer. We absolutely loved it! The resort is spotless, with spacious sites, fantastic proximity to wineries, Watkins Glen State Park, and a staff that is amazing. We had an issue with our delivery and had to push our arrival by a day and the team worked with us to accommodate, and ensure that we didn’t miss out on any fun! 100% recommendations, and will be back! Bath houses were also spotless!

We booked this campground but in my error.....I booked for the wrong night. Sadly they were sold out when we arrived but they graciously made another recommendation. It's clear why they were sold out. This RV park is beautiful! With great views, a modern rustic design and a great location.... This park still comes highly recommended. I know we have it on our list for our return visit!

Nice spacious sites however the sites are not very level most likely do to a crushed stone surface. Dog friendly with an abundant amount of pet waste stations throughout the park. Good location with walking distance to two different wineries. About 20 minutes from Watkins Glen State Park.

Red Newt Cellars is a rustic venue located on the eastern shore of Seneca Lake, offering farm-to-table fare and regional wines. The winery is known for producing a wide variety of wines including white, red, sparkling, dry Rieslings, and ice wine. Their Noble Riesling Late Harvest and Tango Oaks Ice Wine are among the sweet wines produced.
We absolutely fell in love with this sweet winery on Lake Seneca. Our experience was just wonderful. We especially liked the Rieslings which is what we were looking for. Our host Meredith was very friendly and informative. We greatly enjoyed their patio for wine and a great charcuterie! Stop in here when you are in the Finger Lakes! You won’t be disappointed.

Great food, wine and beer!!! Love the ambiance. An amazing view. Exceptional employees. Very knowledgeable

We had a nice snack and a couple of flights of wines. I should have done a tasting, as the flight selection was a little limiting, but I enjoyed it nonetheless, and sitting out on the deck was lovely. Matt and the other staff were pleasant and helpful. We liked the wines but the one my wife loved was a little over budget for us so we did not get a bottle to bring home.

Walked in on a Saturday afternoon and had a great time. Went because one of the close by wineries that have food, glad we did. All the staff we interacted with were exceptionally nice. Food was good (grilled cheese and wine, come on - what a combo! (mad I never thought of that)) Wine was good. Sat inside with a good view, but if you want to guarantee an outside table, make a reservation. Would definitely recommend. Easy parking as expected.

We had the pleasure of visiting Red Newt Cellars for the 4th of July weekend and I can’t recommend it enough! The bistro offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The menu is thoughtfully curated, showcasing delicious dishes that perfectly complement their fantastic wines. What truly stood out to me was the staff so friendly, attentive, and genuine. They went out of their way to ensure our experience was enjoyable, making us feel like more than just customers. Their warmth and enthusiasm added to the overall charm of the place. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just looking for a lovely spot to relax and enjoy good food and company, Red Newt Cellars is a must visit. We'll definitely be returning soon!

This place was awesome. Our waitress, (forgot her name)(short, hiker) was the best. She made our experience 10x better with the laughter and stories. The food? Holy cow. Get the grilled cheese smash burger! You will thank me later

On our recent visit to the area, my wife & I stopped in Red Newt Cellars. It came highly recommended by friends we met on our trip. Glad they did. The person who did our wine tasting did a great job. Very friendly. Explained the wines well (forgot her name). We found their wines had such a great taste. Full bodied. Many to choose from too. Sooo good! Must have been. I know I bought every wine from my tasting. I usually never do that. We bought a case and probably 3 bottles beside that. Just like other wineries in the area, tastings were very reasonable. It was very clean, and staff was very friendly. View of Lake Seneca outside was great. We would definitely make this a stop when we go back. I know we will be purchasing many bottles again!
Bob W — Google review
What an absolutely lovely stop. We always make sure to go there at least once on every trip to Seneca lake. This year we finally broke down and joined their wine club. Needless to say we now stop in even more often. The smash burgers are to die for and the friendly staff is the best. High marks to Roxanne for having such an amazing and knowledgeable staff who are a joy to spend time with, you know Danielle and Liz. We look forward to our next visit. JEFF & Marina

Toni's Diner is a delightful little establishment that offers both dinner and breakfast options. Customers are pleasantly surprised by the freshness of their meals, as many items such as sausage, hot sauce, and bacon are made in-house. The owners create a warm and friendly atmosphere for all visitors. Their homemade hot sauce is especially delicious, prompting some patrons to purchase multiple bottles.
Great breakfast place! Was there a wait? Yes. But relax and have a coffee. The food is very good. I’m not sure why people in the reviews are whining as this is a diner not a fast food drive thru.
Christopher L — Google review
Initial impressions when my wife and I walked in were not good. Not the warmest of welcomes. We stuck it out and I am glad we did. Food was great, pancakes were delicious. I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy. After being there, my initial impressions of the staff changed. The waitress was very friendly and Chuck stopped by the table to see how everything was . If you go stick it out past any initial impressions. Food is worth it.
Jeffery — Google review
The food was super good but, the wait. Don't come here extremely hungry. Waited an hour for our food. Ridiculous. I noticed they apologized to the people next to us about the wait but, no apologies to us. Not sure we'll be back.
Nicole S — Google review
Such a cute little authentic diner spot. Delicious basic breakfast, amazing homemade hot sauces, and friendly locals at the bar. The owners/staff may have a chip on their shoulder if you’re not a local, at least that is the vibe we got. There is also no sense of urgency and you may need to ask for things a few times before getting it. But if you’re patient and kind and don’t let that get to you, then I recommend!

Hidden gem. Breakfast may be the specialty. Couple awesome specials. Brisket omelette was fantastic. We had stayed at a campground and brought food, but ate here one morning and went back again the next morning. Quiet, "feels like home" environment... We'll go back...
Bill B — Google review
Like taking a step back in time. The homemade bread for toast was beyond amazing. So light and fluffy with a tasty crunch. Ordered 3 specials between 2 people and had zero regrets. The sausage gravy was the best I have ever had in over 4 decades of eating. Plan to return next time I am in the finger lakes
Yeening C — Google review
Want to give more stars…when we arrived it was packed and we had to wait an about 10-15 minutes for a table. Took about five minutes for someone to welcome and acknowledge us though they saw us walk in and could have done so sooner. Finally ordered, which took a while. Waited and waited and waited for food. There were three people working in the kitchen and by the time we ordered it was pretty empty. Unclear why it took so long. We were there an hour before we actually ate. Definitely not the speed of a typical diner. The food was very good. Picture perfect. The taste of the pancakes reminded me of McDonald’s pancakes. Have had better. A fly joined us once our food arrived which was annoying. The servers/owner (?) were not unkind but also nothing to rave about here. They all seemed tired. Water for tea was not hot enough. No one checked in on us after we got our food. Had to go to counter to get further service and check. If go, allow plenty of time.
C T — Google review
My family and I came here many times this summer and every visit was great. The food is fresh and homemade, and the staff are genuine and friendly. Some reviews complain about service, but I think people come in with unrealistic expectations— this isn’t fine dining, it’s a small local café with amazing food and down to earth people. If you’re kind, they’ll be kind right back. One of our favorite spots!

Great local establishment with locally sourced ingredients and an ever-changing seasonal menu. The burger is great but so are their vegan and vegetarian options. You can’t go wrong with one of the cocktails or local wine selection.

My daughter and I discovered Stonecat on a recent visit to the area. We were blown away from the moment we stepped through the front door. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and both the staff and local patrons were very friendly and the views at sunset were stunning. We both enjoyed an excellent and unique cocktail/mocktail followed by very generous portions for our entrees. Our dessert was over the top, delicious and so fresh. We enjoyed everything so much we went back for another visit before we left the area. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you’re in the area.

Reading prior reviews and seeing the parking lot full upon arriving, me and my wife were excited to dine here for the evening. Firstly, a very neat restaurant, nice views, cool aesthetics and vibe to it. We started with the mezze plate which was very underwhelming, pita bread wasn’t warm and the hummus and yogurt sauce that came with it was simply not very good. Only thing we enjoyed was the feta and almonds on the plate. I got their beef barbecue sandwich as my main which was a bit better but again nothing amazing. Overall a cool restaurant, friendly people with average food
Gok A — Google review
The jalapeño pineapple fizz mocktail is the coolest drink I’ve ever had—it almost tastes like pizza! I tasted pineapple juice, felt a spicy peppery feel in my throat, and almost tasted the ham and smelled the cardboard box that a hawaiian pizza would come in (in a good way!) The cornmeal crusted catfish is delicious and the ambiance and service is so lovely. However, it’s very pricey — a bit too much for the size of the small portions. The cornbread and dill-cabbage slaw were also disappointing. I think the catfish (and the pineapple fizz lol) is the main thing worth ordering.
Aastha U — Google review
I hadn't been here in maybe 15 years and while (obviously) some things have changed during that time it is still top notch. A warm welcome and helpful advice ("You might want to take a photo of our specials board") was followed by delicious and interesting seasonal fare delivered by a genuinely charming waitress. A slightly quirky, boutique-like vibe flows throughout and I felt instantly at ease. A wonderful experience all around.
Lee C — Google review
Nice roadside place w inside and outside seating overlooking the lake. Order at the counter: prompt courteous service. We, 7, were there for the Sunday jazz brunch. Eclectic leaning Asian. Burger: mezzanine and salads were good. I really liked the (black) coffee, strong but not harsh or bitter. A couple of non alcoholic cocktails were very good.

Brewery
Scale House Brewery, located in Hector and overlooking Seneca Lake, was named Finger Lakes Brewery of the Year in 2021. This local favorite offers a laid-back atmosphere and stunning views. Known for their craft beer and gourmet pizza, they are especially famous for their Peanut Butter Stout. Visitors praise the impeccable service and delicious food, with particular highlights being the aromatic pizzas and diverse beer selection.
Yesterday I had one of the best pizzas outside of NEPA. If you travel up to Seneca Lake for the wineries then I'd highly recommend stopping at this brewery. We had the BBQ Chicken & Bacon Pizza which was so good. The person next to us ordered the meatball sliders and they looked incredible as well.

Got recommended this place from a bartender in Geneva. Absolutely a 14/10 pick. Best pizza I’ve had in a long time. Got the Finger Lakes semi dry cider and the Wagner dry rose of Cabernet franc. The rose was so good I ended up getting a bottle to bring with me. My husband got the kolsch and the Hector Daze IPA. Everything was incredible. Please give this place a try.

We stopped here on a beautiful Saturday evening for dinner. We shared a pizza which was really delicious with crispy pepperonis and I had a salad that was super fresh. Our server was very friendly and attentive.
LORI D — Google review
We came out on a nice day and stopped by here for food. The food was excellent. Not just average bar food. They had a wonderful antipasto salad and we also tried the meatball sliders which were great. I was a little disappointed with the ciabatta bread and some mozzarella wouldn't hurt but the meatballs were amazing. Last but not least was the pizza. Everyone in our party got a different pizza to share and try although I cannot remember all of the names I would say to do the same as none of them were bad in any way. It was a glorious afternoon outing and a great atmosphere with friends and family.
Johnathon B — Google review
Scale House is a real treat on the Seneca Lake Beer Trail. First, it's likely that even a non-stout drinker would fall in love with this beverage, their Peanut Butter Stout. Mostly, the peanut butter really hits on the nose and the aftertaste. Still, real yummy. Their Kölsch was superb as well. Has the pizza been mentioned yet? What? The lead has been buried! Their pies are a slice of heaven, for sure. Worth every nickel.

My wife and I stopped into Scale House Brewing on a chilly, rainy Thursday while visiting the Finger Lakes region. We were looking for a casual spot to unwind after a long drive, and this place was exactly what we needed. Our server—Josh, I believe—was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. I ordered the G20 Hazy IPA, which was smooth, well-balanced, and really hit the spot. My wife had a glass of Rías Chardonnay and enjoyed it—crisp and refreshing. We shared a Caesar salad and the white pizza with broccoli. The salad was fresh and flavorful, and definitely the highlight of our meal. The pizza was okay—not bad by any means—but had a tanginess that wasn’t quite to our taste. Hard to tell if it was from the cheese or the dough. We sat inside due to the rainy weather, though the outdoor seating looked like it would be great on a nicer day. Overall, we had a pleasant experience at Scale House Brewing. We’d happily return for the drinks and try something else from the menu—probably stick with salads or explore another entrée. A solid stop if you’re in the area!

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat, and a drink. Pizza was good and the drinks were good. Just couldn't get over the price of $27 for a beer and a glass of wine. Nice view. Ventilation seemed like it was lacking and had a smokey haze in the air.

Good wine, good food and good company. We stopped here for lunch - I kept coming back to the Kimchi Fries - which I liked a lot. My better half got the chicken sandwich - and it was everything I wanted in a chicken sandwich - crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

Loved this place! Nice & spacious inside with a nice deck that has great views of the lake. We enjoyed brunch here twice - that is how good it was! I had the Thai salad the first time - so yummy! My friends enjoyed the cheesy eggs & quiches. Second time I was there I had piece of carrot cake because I wanted to be decadent - delish! Both times I enjoyed the dry rose! Really a great place, plenty of parking - go check it out!!

Fantastic place! Great atmosphere, nice view and courteous staff. The pulled pork was delicious! Smashing Smash Burger. Chips were a great side to both. Both the Red & Rose and White & Rose flights were nice. I enjoyed the Blanc de Noir and Barn Rose, both had great flavor and enjoyable to drink.

Arrived in Watkins Glen, early afternoon, & decided to make the short, 5 minute drive around the lake to Ryan Williams Winery. Our decision to go there it was in large part, influenced by other positive reviews. And, we were not disappointed when we arrived and experience the destinations for ourselves. Setback from the road it has a majestic view. The winery is centered around a fully restored 19th century barn, which makes for a very relaxed & elegant experience. Service was outstanding, & the manager/host made us feel exceptionally welcome & was fully engaged with all the guests making sure their dining experience was on point. The establishment is owned and operated by a husband and wife team. The husband oversees the operations of the winery, while the wife is responsible for running the kitchen. The quality of the food she & her team prepare is outstanding, & is definitely farm to table. The menu is simple but varied, & the portions were generous. If the weather permits, definitely sit outside on the patio & enjoy some fantastic views of Seneca lake. You will not be disappointed.

Spent the first weekend in October, going to different wineries around Seneca Lake on both the east side and west side. This one was by far one of the best. The atmosphere is great, the service wonderful! The wine samplings were perfect, and the food was the best that we had at any Vineyard. We got the wings, which were probably some of the best I have ever had anywhere, olive appetizer and their chicken sandwich with potato wedges. Everything was cooked perfectly! And so so tasty! Would highly recommend!!

Hector Falls is a stunning cascade waterfall located on Hector Falls Creek, visible from a bridge along Route 414 in Hector, Schuyler County, New York. This roadside beauty drops an impressive 165 feet and can be enjoyed throughout the year. While it's partially visible from the road, it's recommended to stop at Hector Falls Point and carefully cross the road for a better view of the upper part of this Finger Lakes waterfall.
Absolutely beautiful falls! The downfall is you have to pull off the side of the road and a traffic is flying through there 55 mph.
T S — Google review
Beautiful falls, but right next to highway with no parking! What a shame this fall wasn’t managed by anyone to offer better access. We hopped the road rails and climbed down to the falls at our own risk. We parked next to this abandoned motel across the road on the gravel. There was no No Parking sign so l assume it was okay, but still don’t feel like this was the safest option.

So much more to see here!!! Beautiful view of the falls and surrounding areas with lakes and valleys!! Parking by the falls is narrow and by the shoulder on each side of the bridge so be careful!
Angelo G — Google review
What a pleasant surprise addition to our day. I didn't even know this waterfall existed. This unique waterfall is located on both sides of a busy road. It was a beautiful large waterfall that continued down the other side of the road. There is no parking available and there are signs informing driver there is no parking on the bridge. There is an abandoned business just after the bridge that we parked at then walked to see the waterfall closer. This was pretty dangerous as cars are just zooming by. But if you can stay safe its worth stop. I even met a nice couple and helped take their picture. I love waterfalls so I'm so glad that we stumbled upon this.
Erica S — Google review
The waterfall is very beautiful and right next to the road, but there is no parking place. There is someone's property nearby and quite a lot of parking space, but the owner of this property is angry and does not allow tourists to park a car nearby. Since the road is very busy, you need to be careful when park and especially when crossing the road to the waterfall.
Dr. B — Google review
A stunning waterfall right in the side of the road! No real parking but just past the waterfalls going up the hill there is a pull off that you can park at and then backtrack to the falls. Amazing roadside attraction that requires no hiking! A must see if you are anywhere in this area! You will not be disappointed!

The winery has received prestigious awards such as the Governors Cup and five Jefferson Cups, showcasing their dedication to quality. Do not miss stopping at this winery. It's on the east side of the lake, lots of parking and amazing views of both the vinyard and the lake. They have a large deck with seating where you can relax and enjoy your favorite glass of wine after a tasting The staff really know the wines and is able to guide you on what wines to try if you are not quite sure what you might like. I live the rose they have as well as the Chardonnay they offer. This is always a stop for me and I can't wait to go back!

Our 5th winery. Some make you stand at bar like cattle being milked. Some have cheap setups and irritated servers. This winery accommodates you and is very pleasant. You are seated comfortably and with pleasing ambience. You can choose air conditioning or outdoors on an expansive deck with a nearly full view of the entire lake. Flights are self directed and more romantic this way. You get 12 oz of quality wines which is the most generous of all places so far. Wines are very good with 4 that we will buy again. Emma went out of her way for us, and we had a very relaxing time. Will return for sure.

Love this place! Out of the four wineries we visited, this one was my absolute favorite. The view was spectacular, the weather was perfect, and the location is close to several other wineries—great for wine hopping! I went with the sweet wine flight, which includes five wines. My favorite was the Niagara—it tasted just like white grape juice (dangerously good!)—and I ended up taking home four bottles. I also grabbed two bottles of the Emperor’s Blush to make their signature sangria. The pricing of the flights and bottles are super reasonable too! My friend, who works in hospitality and has pretty high standards when it comes to wine, also really enjoyed this spot and ordered their drier white wine flight. I'm already looking forward to coming back in the future!

We stopped here for the location alone and did no prior research to come here. As you can see in the pictures , the views here are great. It is right on the lake. The staff were also friendly - no complaints there. My friend and I both just did not enjoy even one glass of our tastings . The wine all tasted bad and had a weird taste.

Bloomer Creek Vineyard, located in the Finger Lakes region, has been producing minimal intervention wines for over 30 years. The vineyard sites on Cayuga and Seneca Lakes offer a beautiful reflection of the landscape in each wine. They grow various grape varieties including pinot noir, cabernet franc, riesling, gruner veltliner, and chardonnay. Visitors can enjoy a cozy tasting room with antique furniture and personalized service from the husband and wife owners.
I wasn't in love with the first two wines and thought the trip would be a bust, but the reds were amazing, and then the owner pulled out this library gewurztraminer and we were absolutely sold. The way she described wines in general should be in a book. She gets it and she cares! We'll be back just for her stories!
Ashley J — Google review
Took my family who was visiting from the Philadelphia area to tour some wineries on Seneca Lake. My sister and I came upon Bloomer Creek and were instantly charmed by the small and cozy tasting room. The owners, a husband and wife duo were tending bar and took careful time with each guest and we were more than happy to wait. The cottage inspired tasting room is like a fairytale. Inviting but small with lived in and loved antique furniture. The view from behind the bar overlooks a lush backdrop of trees that tumble down to Seneca lake. Quaint, iron tables and chairs pepper the even manicured lawn in the back of the facility. We thought we would just have a glass and sit and take in the scenery but we quickly changed our minds when the wife of the business suggested we share a tasting. She took us on a magical journey sip after sip and we loved listening to the story of their wild yeast fermented wines. It was pure magic! She allowed us to sample a wine not on the standard tasting list. Quality and love is clearly the standard. Sublime boutique winery experience. If small and intimate wine tasting is something you are hoping to find in on the Seneca Lake wine trail - look no further than Bloomer Creek.

Our new favorite winery on Seneca! Kim and Debra were amazing ambassadors to their wine and we enjoyed their wines and company immensely. If you're looking for a special wine this is the place. The passion they talk about their wines with comes thru in every sip

Bloomer Creek is a real sleeper vineyard. Unimposing surroundings do not hint at the masterful wines presented for tasting. We sampled seven of them, and all were exceptional. Highly recommended.
Jerome C — Google review
I absolutely love these wines. They're unique and wonderful. I buy a case or two every year when I travel to the Finger Lakes, and then always wish it lasted longer!
Jim M — Google review
Bloomer Creek is a winery where the philosophy may be getting in the way of the wine-making. The owners (who also seem to be most of the staff there) appear to be of the hippy-dippy variety, which is perfectly fine and not meant to be an insult. Their philosophy is minimal interference in the wine process, including using indigenous yeasts, organic farming, and hand harvesting, all of which is good and noble, at least in theory, and intended to duplicate Old World wine-making. But the results do not entirely justify the evident pride. Their Rieslings are decent but not stupendous; their other wines, including their White Horse Bordeaux blend and Gruner Veltliner, are only okay. They were very busy the day I visited and a tad brusque. One annoying thing that happened was that I picked a wine that I had not tasted to purchase, but when I did so one of the proprietors pointed out that I had not tasted that wine and would not permit me to do so, since none had been opened, so I was compelled to purchase something I had tasted instead. I did not appreciate being steered away from something that might have been more interesting than their middling Gruner. This is a small operation with a clear idea of how they want to operate, but which still seems to be trying to find its way. Unlike Shaw, which has the same issue but considerably better wine, BC has not achieved the quality to justify the pretension.

Absolutely beautiful tasting room. The ambiance reallysets the tone for the wine. Their wine is natural and unlike any other in the area...in a good way. I highly recommend this place.

One of the best and experiment wineries in the finger lakes. Very down to earth, authentic tasting experience. Amazing Rieslings and Cab Franc. A must visit.

Smith Memorial Park

Park
Nestled in the picturesque Finger Lakes region of New York, Smith Memorial Park is a charming lakeside campground that has been welcoming visitors since the 1970s. This serene destination features wooded and lakefront campsites perfect for tents, camper vans, or small tow-behinds. With its stunning forested hills and steep bluffs overlooking Seneca Lake, it’s an ideal spot for family gatherings and community events that date back to the 1800s.
I love swimming here with the kids. So mellow and beautiful. You don't need water shoes in the deep end if you aren't touching the bottom but definitely if walking in the shallow water. The walk to the water is definitely an incline on the way back up so don't bring anything too heavy down. The trails and lake are beautiful!!

Clean, quiet, and peaceful campground. The firewood was a bit wet, so starting a fire took some effort, but overall the area is well-maintained with friendly staff. Having a private beach was very convenient. The bathhouse was also clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

This campground is prime location if you’re looking to camp and enjoy the wineries. The bathrooms are clean and the girl in the office was very nice and friendly. Very pleasant campsite and I felt like each campsite was spacious and spaced out enough.

We stayed at Smith Memorial Park for 5 days in May and really enjoyed the peaceful and secluded atmosphere. It is a quiet and scenic campground that feels tucked away from the world, perfect if you are looking to relax. The views, especially from the sites near the bluff overlooking the lake, are absolutely stunning. You are definitely paying a bit more for this campground, but it is worth it if you enjoy a beautiful and calming setting. Some of the campsites can be tricky. Several are gravel and quite steep, so just keep that in mind when reserving or backing in. Once you are set up, though, it is a great place to unwind. The bathrooms were clean and perfectly fine for a campground. I even used the shower one day, which I usually avoid and stick to the RV shower. It was better than expected. The only real negative was the dump station. The owners keep it locked, which I understand to an extent, but when we were ready to leave at 830 AM on a Sunday morning, no one was around to unlock it. We called the host and they seemed annoyed, saying they were busy meeting someone and could not come by for at least 45 minutes. That was frustrating, especially since we had a 6 hour drive ahead. This could easily be avoided by keeping the key in a pass coded lock box. We ended up stopping at a Love’s and paid ten dollars to dump there. Other than that, I highly recommend this campground. It is only 20 minutes from Watkins Glen Raceway and close to Watkins Glen State Park, Buttermilk Falls, and many other great places to explore in the Finger Lakes region.

What an amazing public park!!! We needed a place to store our trailer and boat during our one week vacation and Smith Park was a huge help! We can't thank you enough!! The woman in the office was very friendly and went above and beyond for one of the families camping there. The boat launch could be improved by being less steep so it's possible to exit the vehicle without stepping in water and having boat cleats added to the docks. The parking area by the docks is very limited, but worked out the times we needed it. The longer term parking is also limited, but had enough space.

The grounds are beautiful, but our experience was not the best. We paid for a premium lake front site (36). We arrived later in the evening, noone was at the office, they left a labeled map for us. By the weekend, as the park filled up, it was clear we had some concerns. Site 35 looked like the driveway to our site, their tent was as close to our picnic table as our own pop up camper was. Site 37 parked where they could access their electric...and this is when we became blocked into our site. We had no way to exit. We asked at the office, they let us know that it is just something we would need to work out with our neighbors (ee decided to drive up the hill over the lawn to exit for our daily outings). We also asked for an additional fire ring since site 35 did not have one, none was provided, so we had to share. Bathhouse is new, looks great, but ladies room has only 2 stalls, one was out of service all week. Bathrooms were not cleaned until Saturday. It has potential, but be aware!

Great location for camping. Me and some friends did a long weekend tent camping here. Well-kept grounds, a few areas for swimming/lake access, and polite neighbors all around. Perfect distance from Watkins Glen and other attractions.

Standing Stone Vineyards stands out for its modern and sophisticated tasting room, offering a fantastic view of Seneca Lake. The oldest vines on the site date back to 1970, and the winery offers unique experiences such as gourmet bread and dipping sauces with wine flights, from-the-barrel cellar tastings, and guided vineyard tours. With rolling hills as a backdrop, it provides an all-encompassing experience.
We've gone to almost every single winery around Seneca lake and this is one of our favorites! The tasting room is pretty and laid back. The staff is so accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. Plus the wine is incredible. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone looking at what wineries to go to. You pay by the wine tasting and can get as many or little as you want.

This was the best tasting experience we had all day, and we visited some great spots. Most of the places we visited have transitioned to a flight based tasting menu where you choose an established set of wines. For our group of semi-professional drinkers this is less than ideal. We loved the option to choose exactly what we wanted. The wine at Standing Stone is some of the best we’ve tried in the Finger Lakes and the customer service was top notch even though we arrived for the last seating at 4:30. This place is doing everything right.

With so many wineries in the area, it’s hard to narrow down a few to visit. We went here based on a recommendation from a local. We were not disappointed! Excellent wines, for sure, but the staff was what made the experience so enjoyable! Gabby was our wine steward and she is top notch!! Thank you so much Gabby for making us feel so welcome and taking great care of us Georgia folks!

Wine and experience were top notch, but not pretentious. Staff were lovely. Gorgeous views. Beautiful late-October visit on the deck with overhead heaters and beautiful surroundings. A new favourite, for sure.
Laurie K — Google review
No reservations needed (makes visits easier). Did the classics and it was 4/4! Enjoyed a Chardonnay, Guwerztraminer, Rose and Saperavi. Enjoyed the wine and atmosphere. Grab a flight or wine by the glass/bottle. Beautiful view of Seneca!

We had a fantastic time out at Sanstone Vineyards for a wedding. The space is really beautiful out by the ceremony location however, there is some building going on across the field. As long as they’re quiet on the weekend, it makes for a beautiful view of the mountains! The Cocktail our space by the pool Is dreamy and gives off a very fun Napa vibe. The reception location is perfect because it’s covered yet. It’s open air so you get a nice breeze and a beautiful view of the mountains and the vineyard. The team on site is so friendly and helpful. They will set up all of the tables and chairs so you just have to do the decorating. This is incredibly helpful. Sandstone is a great location, close enough to hotels and rideshare options that gives Off a very country vineyard feel. It’s also a really great option for a wedding because they do require you to use the curb catering and mobile bar which cuts down on you having to find Additional different Vendors. (Not to mention, the food is really good!) Overall, a really excellent option in the Treasure Valley to host your wedding or event!

Absolutely beautiful grounds and atmosphere! It has a clean modern style to it. The wines are primarily dry, which is right up my alley. They were all very delicious! The staff are excellent in explaining the wines and very friendly with suggestions. You can bring your own food. I would highly recommend this winery!

Was a great stop last year, but this year not so much. Chaos in the entrance, kicked off by host Jesse, with bizarre tasting options, not explained well. Half their wines aren’t even their own. Good luck trying them. Once you finally understand the system and ready to order a tasting, you’re passed off to other staff who are also trying to understand Jesse, and then they shuffle off tasks to other staff. Getting the tasting was difficult, with them saying come back for the setup, but they delivered it to the table. Prices of the bottles don’t match the menus. There were six of us, and all felt the same. Disappointing. Will try again next year when hopefully Jesse has moved on.

Italian restaurant
Jerlando's Ristorante & Pizza Co. is a family-run establishment that offers a taste of Italy in the heart of Watkins Glen. The restaurant is styled like an Italian piazza, with countryside murals adorning the walls, creating a charming and authentic atmosphere. Situated near Seneca Lake, it provides a breathtaking lakeside view for diners to enjoy while savoring classic Italian dishes and hand-tossed pizzas.
We were recommended by someone staying in a neighboring camp at Cayuga state park and I am glad we tried this place. Serves very much Italian style delicious pizza, pastas, bread and lot of other items. The ambience is warm, pleasant with welcoming staff. You may find 15-20 min wait time which I feel worth the wait. Must check place if you are at Watkins glen.

Very pleasant experience here at Jerlando’s Ristorante. Wait staff was extremely friendly, sat and served us right away. Our server was very helpful and very consistent with refills, and additional services. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The chicken parmigiana was perfectly cooked and the breading wasn’t too overwhelming. The sauce was fresh and delicious and the pasta was cooked very well. The atmosphere was very warm, contemporary and welcoming. I felt very comfortable and I felt very at ease to dine in. They have a plethora of options for dining and even drinks. Definitely recommend this establishment for the locals, and tourists!

My wife and I have been coming here for the past 7-8 year and it’s become out go-to Italian spot whenever we visit Watkins Glen. Back when we first came with friends, then as a couple dating, later engaged and now married, this place has always been a part of our trips. The food never disappoints. Even with a wait that can stretch close to an hour, it’s always been worth it. The service has been consistently excellent in our experience- friendly, attentive and welcoming. Every meal feels thoughtfully presented and tastes just as good as it looks. My wife is all about their pizzas and garlic knots while I lean toward the pasta dishes and arancini. No matter what we order, it’s clear the kitchen takes pride in their craft. If you’re visiting Watkins Glen, stop in. Whether it’s pizza, pasta or just the warm atmosphere, you won’t regret it. Highly recommend!

Found this old style Italian restaurant after a great hike in Watkins Glen Gorge. Service was great and pleasant. Lots of choices. Veal Marsala was tender and sweet. Chicken Livornese also was liked. Bruschetta was crusty with lots of tomatoes and olive oil. The meals came with garlic bread and salads and fries. Large portions. Wine bottles were reasonably priced and good choices. Tiramisu was one of the best I had.

Jerlando’s Ristorante was a great find. For a restaurant of its size, the service was impressively fast. We started with garlic knots and mozzarella sticks—the garlic knots were excellent, and the marinara sauce was rich and flavorful. I had the ziti with vodka sauce, which was delicious overall, though I felt it could’ve used just a touch more salt. The real standout for me was the garlic bread—it was so good I ended up ordering another one. Perfectly cooked with great texture, just flawless. The side salad that came with my dish was also a nice surprise, especially with the raspberry vinaigrette. It wasn’t overly acidic, and the fruity note balanced things really well. Overall, I’d highly recommend this place.

Jerlando’s is a staple in Watkins Glen. My wife and I have been coming to the area for 8 years and we have never eaten here. That changed (finally!) due to a recommendation from our AirBnB owner. We waited about a half hour for a table at 7:30 on a Thursday night. We walked around the store next to it and our buzzer reached us there which was really nice. We ordered immediately and all of our food came out within 30 mins. The cheesy garlic bread was fantastic and probably the best we have ever had. So flavorful without being heavy. My wife ordered the Penne with Vodka and added chicken. I had the Grilled Chicken Cantonese with a baked potato. Hers was good but mine was better. The chicken was expertly cooked and the sauce was soooo good without being heavy or messy. I could have licked the plate if it were socially acceptable but we saved bread for that very reason. We will be Jerlando regulars from now on!

Visited this classic pizzeria on our way through Watkins Glen and was pleasantly surprised! We were seated almost immediately and ordered right away. The 2 pizzas took about 25 minutes to come. Drinks came right away. The waiter was pleasant and kept us mostly informed on the stage of our food. The music was not too loud. Around 12:45, the place was not super busy. This place is better for small parties, not larger groups, though they can accommodate. There is a bar placed centrally in the main dining, but it was not open for lunch. The food itself was amazing. The pizza was hot and crispy. The crust was not too thick. It was crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. We ordered both the Buffalo Chicken and Bacon Chicken Ranch pizzas. They both had great flavor. The buffalo chicken didn’t have too much spice, but was very flavorful. Definitely going to return when I’m back here again!

First of all, don’t trust the recent negative reviews. I was hesitant to try this restaurant because of them. But I also asked a local and they said that the FOOD IS GOOD here and she was right! Plenty of free street parking and a near by free public lot. We arrived around 6:40pm on a weeknight and there was no wait for a table for four. What We Liked & Recommend: 1) Alfredo Fettuccine (sauce tasted fresh, cheesy & house made) 2)Pasta Ala Vodka (fresh and flavorful) 4) NY strip steak (had a nice char and was cooked to perfection) The entrees came with a side salad. We tried toss salad w/ Italian dressing and Cesar salad. Both were fresh. Both dressings were light and didn’t taste oily. For drinks: The Pina Colada Virgin was on the point. Our waiter offered to refill our Fountain drinks which were complementary. Price/Value: The portion for the two pastas mentioned were huge. Good value for the buck. Service: Our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Drinks and Food came quickly. Ambience: Dim yet comfortable lighting. The walls are painted with an exterior of rustic houses. It feels like you’re eating in a little Italian village. The restaurant has one women’s restroom and one men’s restroom. The restroom was clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend and come back the next time we visit. It is only a few minutes drive from the Walkin Glen State Park.

Located in Dundee, New York, F.L.X. Wienery is a laid-back restaurant that offers artisanal hot dogs, hamburgers, and sausages made with locally sourced ingredients. The menu features house-made brats, hand-ground burgers, chorizo, and gourmet sides. In addition to standard fare like burgers and hot dogs, the eatery also serves unique items such as the PB&A hot dog with peanut butter, bacon, cheese, and crispy onion.
A huge fan of this place and I am glad my wife recommended it to me. Food: I ended up going with an all-american beef burger which was OUTSTANDING. I was also super interested in their salted potatoes which I never had before. The potatoes were good, but the butter by the end made it a bit heavy, albeit delicious. Service: the young lady helping us was so nice and gave us some recommendations which ended up with the potatoes. Aesthetic: really cool design with the tables and almost feels like a camp cantina. I really liked that they served the potatoes in a plant pot, it made it feel very farm-like.

Laid back place to enjoy a meal in the Finger Lakes...which was great cause most wineries did not have great food choices. Most in the group had hamburgers and they were delicious. Staff was super friendly and food came out hot and quick. Not the biggest fan of their fries, but the spicy onion rings were excellent. Definitely a must stop to soak up the wine you are drinking. And if you like borboun, they have almost every Buffalo Trace company bottle at phenomenal prices...try some Pappy. Only warning is be careful in the Luxury bathroom...the bidet can scare the unwary.

Very cute place! They have the most unique hotdogs and burgers. We loved the variety. Everything was delicious and the house made crispy potatoes were tasty, but definitely different since I was anticipating the fries depicted on the website. I had the K-Town and loved the flavors, especially the kimchi. My husband had the All-American and really enjoyed it!

Great time great vibes. Loved the food but I was pretty wasted so may not be the best judge of the taste. Staff was nice , helpful, and laughed at my jokes

I had high hopes for this place since their high end locations were impressive. I’m sad to say that my experience ended up being so-so. The outside seating and location is good but the door was all server slightly warm. The burger was not freshly made and as such overdone. I will say the lettuce was fresh and snappy. Dog friendly outside seating and friendly staff made this a 3 star review instead of a 2. The wine and beer selection was great.

Great sausages here Even better crispy fried potatoes The beer list is great Amazingly you can also get some Pappy van Winkle too! Worth the drive up from Watkins Glen for sure

If you weren't a fan of having weiners in your face already, this place might change your mind. If you still can't get over that, they have other tasty things to stuff your foodhole with, like burgers and such. Quality food, creative and classic toppings alike, and lots of staple sides. Also booze. They have booze. Enjoy!

Decoy Restaurant is a charming spot located along the Seneca wine trail. The atmosphere has a "supper club" vibe, and it's perfect for enjoying a meal on a beautiful afternoon. The menu offers generous portions of delicious food, such as breaded mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, prime rib, chicken parm, scampi in garlic sauce, chicken medallions, pasta Primavera and fish fry with various side options.
Definitely a decoy. Not always what’s on the outside. Very deceiving place. Glad we went to try it out. Amazing food, proportion's of everything absolutely wont go hungry. Leftovers were taken home. I just don’t know if they have desserts. We were not offered any dessert menu. Recommend highly
Renea D — Google review
This place has a very supper club vibe. We had some very bad service by our waitress, but it did seem to just be her and not the others. We waited about 10 min before anyone came to our table. We then waited for about 20 min to get our waters, which were then never refilled. We also never received the soup we ordered. We waited about an hour total for the microwaved unseasoned salmon and scampi with jarred pasta sauce. This place is way over priced. Overall, I would not recommend. The food was bland and the service was horrible. I’m not sure how it has the rating it currently has.

This is a wonderful restaurant. It is clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and works hard. The meals my wife and I had were great, cooked to perfection. Fair pricing. You do not need to get dressed up to go out for a meal here. Fantastic location.

We were lucky enough to get into town on a Friday night when the Decoy had their fish fry. Absolutely the best fish fry I have ever had. In fact, the filet, the chicken parm, and everything else we had was spectacular. Plus, Madison, our server, was happy, pleasant and a hunch of fun. Great service and phenomenal food. No need to look anywhere else!!

Absolutely one of the best meals I've had anywhere. For the price and quality of the Filet Mignon, salad, and 2 sides with bread it was a welcome bargain. 10/10 would come here again if I'm ever in the area. Very home town feel to this place.

Up here having a friends getaway and stopped in for dinner. All the staff was happy and very attentive. The food was very prompt. I ordered the filet mignon and it was the best I ever had. Every single food item I ordered or even tried was spectacular. I highly recommend this place. We’re in town for 2 more days and will be back tomorrow night for dinner again.

We had never been here before, but decided to try it for our anniversary. It was the best restaurant meal we have had in years! We both had filet mignon and it was delicious and done perfectly. Mashed potatoes were complimented by wonderful gravy. Turtle cheesecake was so creamy! Everything is made from scratch and seasoned perfectly. Service was great, too. We are looking forward to going back and trying other dishes.

Every time I visit the Finger Lakes, I make a point to eat at Decoy, and recommend it to everyone! The atmosphere has a small-town charm and a welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. The food is alway top-notch and very consistent. The prime rib is unbelievably flavorful, and the filet steak is huuuge with amazing flavor, and is so tender. And then there’s Bob at the bar—a true legend. He’s friendly and mixes a perfect drink. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, he’ll make you feel like you belong. Decoy gets everything right: great food, great people, and a great time—every time.
