Theme Parks
Kemah Boardwalk is a family-friendly amusement park featuring classic rides such as a wooden roller coaster and a two-story carousel. Located near Kemah Boardwalk Marina, visitors can capture picturesque scenes of various vessels, from yachts to fishing boats. The boardwalk comes alive at night with vibrant lights and thrilling attractions like roller coasters and Ferris wheels, making it an ideal setting for photography enthusiasts to experiment with low-light or long-exposure shots.
Wonderful Octoberfest with kids and families showing up around 2. It was much less crowded around 12. The $28 dollar wrist band is great if you are just riding. Not all of our party rode rides, so it is very nice not having to buy a full ticket price. Offers a lot of games, etc. love being able to sit next to the canal and watching the boats drive by before they enter the bay. There are lots of seats, but do wish they had more in the shade. Several great restaurants with a few snack food trucks on the boardwalk.

This amusement park is beautifully designed and located right by the sea, which gives it a unique and relaxing atmosphere. The whole park has a strong Spanish character, which adds to its charm and authenticity. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, offering a variety of food options — and many with great views. The rides and attractions are a lot of fun, well-maintained, and offer something for all ages. Whether you’re into adrenaline-pumping roller coasters or more relaxed experiences, there’s something here for everyone. Prices are relatively affordable, especially considering the quality and variety the park offers. All in all, a fantastic day out — fun, scenic, and very Spanish in the best way!

Great place to spend a day with the family or a date. Lots of fun things to do and you can even get a tour in a boat 😵‍💫. They have a nice Hotel there you can stay and different restaurants with all kinds of food. The parking ticket is 15 dollars and the whole day pass was like 30 which is the best option. The roller coaster is insane 🤣 so much fun.

Kemah Boardwalk is one of the most vibrant and fun destinations along the Texas Gulf Coast. It perfectly blends great food, family entertainment, and a relaxing seaside vibe. The boardwalk is beautifully set by the water, offering stunning views, cool sea breezes, and plenty of spots to unwind or snap photos. There’s something for everyone here from thrilling rides and arcade games to waterfront dining and live music. The restaurants, especially the seafood spots, serve fresh and flavorful meals, and the overall atmosphere is always lively and welcoming. Whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or as a couple, Kemah Boardwalk guarantees a memorable experience filled with energy, laughter, and beautiful coastal charm. A must visit place for both locals and tourists looking for fun, good food, and a true Texas waterfront experience

Kemah boardwalk is so exciting and magical. So many rides to go on. the restaurants are fabulous. we've eaten at all of them. Beast os such a high energy speed boat ride. We have to spend alone full day there everytime we go on vacation !

While it looked like it could have been super fun back in the day there was basically nothing open and it was basically dead. We were there at about 3pm on a Friday and was surprised at everything being closed up. Stopped into the aquarium for a quick bite and it was good but otherwise disappointed.
Brittany M — Google review
Our 1st time here, personally I was quite excited. The weather afforded us cool breezes, we arrived 11:45ish for scheduled noon opening and after walking around, having lunch the rides were just opening. When we left at 1:30 there was only one shop open. Totally disappointed! Don't know if this happens on a regular basis but I don't think we'll be driving an hour for this.

Kemah Boardwalk is a perfect family-friendly destination packed with fun and entertainment for all ages! From live music to exciting acrobatic shows, there’s always something happening. Enjoy one of the best dining experiences by the beach, with plenty of restaurants to choose from. Kids will love the carnival rides, splash pad during the summer, and the charming train that circles the boardwalk and even passes through some restaurants. Parking is paid, and weekends tend to get busy—so plan ahead!

The Aquarium Restaurant is a large seafood and steak restaurant known for its unique decor featuring a massive 50,000-gallon aquarium filled with tropical sea creatures like fish, sharks, and stingrays. It's a must-visit for families with kids who will be captivated by the vibrant underwater ambiance and interactive displays. Located at Kemah Boardwalk in Texas, this restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience with delectable seafood dishes and mouthwatering grilled options.
We had a great experience at the Aquarium Restaurant. We ordered the fish tacos, which were absolutely delicious, and also tried the sampler, which was really tasty and well-prepared. The flavors were fresh, and the portions were generous. The service was outstanding — Markus, our server, was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive. He made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. The only minor issue was at the front desk, where we waited a little longer than expected to be seated. But once we were at our table, everything went perfectly and was absolutely worth the wait. Highly recommend this spot for both the food and the unique atmosphere.
Christian C — Google review
Our son saw this restaurant on the train ride and we had to stop by. The atmosphere is great, exactly what you would expect from a restaurant with an aquarium built in. There were a few small tanks and one large one with many different types of sea creatures. The food was delicious. I had the "taste of new Orleans" including shrimp, sausage, cat fish, and fried gator. My friend ordered Parmesan chicken and shrimp and my wife had Louisiana Cajun pasta. The experience was really enjoyable and our server had a great sense of humor on a slower day. Definitely recommend stopping here.

If there were an award for “Best Waiter with a Mustache,” Rob would win it every time. Not only does his mustache look like it could star in its own 1970s detective show, but his service was absolutely top-notch from start to finish. Rob greeted us with a warm smile (and an even warmer mustache), knew the menu inside and out, and made spot-on recommendations. Drinks never went empty, food came out perfectly timed, and he somehow anticipated what we needed before we even asked. It’s rare to find a server who makes you feel like both an honored guest and an old friend, but Rob pulled it off effortlessly. The mustache was the conversation starter; the excellent service was what made the night unforgettable. Rob, if you’re reading this—never shave. The world needs both you and that glorious mustache.

My 3-year-old grandson and I came here for lunch, and it was his first time. The entire experience was fabulous, and our server, Angelica was absolutely amazing! she was very attentive, made sure all of our needs, and did everything possible to make sure my grandson and I enjoyed our experience here. We will definitely be back for another G-ma & Jax day!

Rob, our waiter, was the real catch of the day! 🐠 He went above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable. It was my daughter’s birthday, and the restaurant made her feel like the star of the ocean by accommodating her wish to sit right in front of the aquarium. The famous “shark attack” dessert was fin-tastic 🦈 The food was absolutely on point from the first bite to the last. We’ll definitely be swimming back for more!

What a cool place to eat!!!! The restaurant is a giant fish tank- it reminds me of the ATL aquarium but with food. The views of gigantic pretty fish floating by as you eat is so cool and outside, yachts are passing by through the channel. There’s so much to look at, impossible to be bored. Jen was an awesome waitress and took wonderful care of us. Also shout out to the host that held our table even though we were running 10 minutes behind scheduled reservation. I had the sirloin - excellent size, temp and sides yummy veggies and smooth garlic potatoes. The fish and shrimp plate was yummy too - great sauce and plenty to eat- I see why they put it on the front of the menu. Finally, we did the shark fin chocolate lava cake and it did not disappoint. It was so good, we got a second one. Very unique place, super different without being weird. It’s also inside the Kemah boardwalk area if you want to make a whole day adventure out of it. Oh yeah, the Manga-Rita was 😋

American restaurant
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. is a globally recognized seafood and American restaurant with a charming fishing boat-themed setting. Inspired by the movie Forrest Gump, this family-friendly chain offers much more than just shrimp, featuring hand-shaken margaritas, BBQ, and an array of seafood dishes. Located on the Kemah Boardwalk with stunning harbor views, it's known for its phenomenal service and hearty portions.
I had a great experience at Bubba Gump Shrimp! The atmosphere is fun and full of character—just like the movie. The staff was super friendly and attentive, and the food came out fast and fresh. I highly recommend the Shrimp New Orleans and the Coconut Shrimp—both were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The Forrest Gump trivia from the waitstaff added a unique and entertaining touch. Whether you’re a fan of the movie or just love good seafood, Bubba Gump is definitely worth a visit!

I had such an amazing waitress by the name of Jade. She was very professional and kind and accommodating. The moment we walked into the door of the restaurant everyone was very cordial and pleasant. I had my two autistic grandsons who were amazingly comfortable at the restaurant. Thank you Jade and the staff for making our visit Pleasant. We will come back to see you in Kemah.

Had a good experience here this past Saturday! We came at 12:30pm for lunch and sat on the covered patio next to the water. Our waitress (Melissa I think) was great; very kind, attentive, and fun too. The seafood meals were tasty and the chicken sandwich was pretty good too; I just wish the fries it came with were better (less mushy) and came with a dipping sauce (like the aioli on the burger, which was great). The atmosphere was wonderful and I appreciated that they had a gift shop, since the main reason we came to Kemah this weekend was for this restaurant.

Great location. Beautiful view of Broadway. We came to enjoy the food based on a recommendation, but the Forest Go and Forest Stop system doesn’t work. We waited 20 minutes for drinks and almost 45 minutes for lunch. Their customer service needs improvement.
Lucho C — Google review
Was really looking forward to our shrimp especially the shrimp tempura but it was undercooked. It wasn’t raw, but the batter was soft and chewy, almost white, not cooked golden and crisp as usual. The coconut shrimp was good, the fries were old and cold. Our server Jade was sweet and took care of us.

Allen was such a great server! Everything was delicious and came out in a timely manner! Definitely worth it and the view was incredible. Will definitely recommend and come back again!

Seafood restaurant
Crazy Alan's Swamp Shack is a lively Cajun-style seafood restaurant located just a short walk from the Kemah Boardwalk. The upbeat atmosphere features live music and a rooftop deck, making it an ideal spot to enjoy delicious year-round crawfish and an extensive menu that includes meat plates with a unique Cajun twist. From burgers with chopped crawfish to the indulgent Shrimp & Oyster Diablo, the dishes are known for their generous portions and bold flavors.
I ordered the shrimp with potatoes. They were skimpy with the potatoes. Drinks were very good. I didn't have the crayfish but my cohorts did, they said they were good but all small ones. Atmosphere is great, great live music. We ordered a starter & didn't get it until way after we got our food because the server forgot.

This place is a whole vibe! Zydeco live music was playing upon entry, food and drinks were amazingly flavorful and we loved the ambiance! The LIVE GATOR was a fun surprise too!

Tonight was our first visit, and we left already planning our return. Vincent was hands down the best server we've had in a long time—attentive, friendly, and just made the whole experience even better. The food? Incredible. We got 5 lbs of fresh crawfish for $34.99, which is an absolute steal these days. My youngest had the shrimp alfredo, and honestly, it's a must-try—so creamy and flavorful! Only downside: it was hot upstairs. 🔥🥵 We skipped the patio because it was loud and just as warm. Not really anyone’s fault—it’s just that kind of weather—but thankfully, Vincent kept our drinks full and made it manageable. All in all, it was a fantastic experience. Any time we’re in town, this place is a must-stop!

Stopped in at Crazy Alan’s Swamp Shack in Kemah and left full, happy, and impressed. I had the gumbo along with fried shrimp and catfish — all of it hit the mark. The gumbo was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice and that deep, slow-cooked roux taste you hope for. The fried shrimp and catfish were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside — perfectly seasoned and cooked right. You can tell they don’t cut corners in the kitchen. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere fits the name — lively, local, and full of personality. If you’re craving Gulf Coast seafood done right, this is the spot. I’ll be back.

Dined here for Sunday lunch. Boudain stuffed shrimp for appetizer, trout medallion with spinach, and garlic taters and seafood enchiladas for entrees. Drinks ordered were Bull Frog Hawaiian and Swamp juice. Waiter Jacob was awesome. Chef forgot appetizer, so we received entrees first. The appetizer was hot, fresh and delicious. Trout was stuffed with rice and crawfish tails. I didn't care for mushrooms in the sauce. Spinach was delicious with bacon. Drink was good but could've been stronger. Will return to try other items.

Mexican restaurant
Cadillac Bar is a vibrant dining destination that showcases an extensive menu of traditional Mexican cuisine, all set in a lively atmosphere. Located near the boardwalk, it offers a delightful experience for both locals and visitors alike. During my recent visit on a weekday lunchtime, I found the place surprisingly quiet but still enjoyed the same quality as its Rice Military counterpart. The spicy shredded chicken enchiladas were highly recommended and did not disappoint; their flavors were truly exceptional.
Visited Cadillac during Happy Hour! The Cadillac Margarita was not part of the Happy Hour but well worth it's price Then switch to the specials $3.00 Margaritas, beers and wells. We ordered the chicken quesadilla and the crispy tacquitos fresh and tasty. Service was very friendly and attentive. This area is also a place of enjoyment for the whole family being at the pleasure pier.
Silvia C — Google review
Was down in the area for work. This place was dead at lunchtime on a weekday (probably expected). I was the only person there, but it was as good as the Cadillac Bar over in Rice Military. Didn't use the bathroom and for parking you need to use the main Kemah parking area. The spicy shredded chicken enchiladas were recommended and the flavors lived up to the expectations. The impossible cake (chocolate cake with flan on top) was the star, though. 10/10 would eat by myself again.

Serves chips & salsa (green & red) I had the Cadillac Punch mixed drink $9 it was fruity & good! I had the flautas, larger than I thought. Really fried good, chicken. I had them put all the toppings on the side-instead of on them was $14. He had the Tacos Al Carbon -comes with 2 & good sz. $17. Booths are nice. Menu ranges anywhere from teens to the high 20's [seafood]. They have Coke products (yes!).

Friendly greeting. Quick seating. Kaylie was absolutely awesome!!! The food was great but I want to point out the salsa that was the best I've had. It didn't have the tomato taste most places have and different is good. The steak and eggs enchiladas was amazing. Between the great staff and the awesome food, we will be returning.
Brenda B — Google review
Went there with my wife and kids for my birthday. This is the first time in our lives that we walked out of a place after being seated for 30 minutes. It was not at all busy. After 20 minutes of no one coming by, a table next to us was seated and the server immediately took there drink orders. The table on the other side was there before us and based on their comments, they hadn't had a server by yet either. When I saw the other table getting their drink orders taken, I went back to the front and waited for someone to acknowledge me. Finally a lady came by to ask what I needed and I explained to her that we had been there over 20 minutes without a single person coming by. She said she would send someone right away. Another 10 minutes... no one. We got up and left. I don't know if our server had a death in the family, or they were out hitting the crack pipe. But none of the other staff even bothered or had a clue about what was going on. If I owned that place, I'd fire the entire staff.

We came for appetizers and some drinks while on the boardwalk and the majority of the food was great. The crab & shrimp dip is a must get, and the oysters were PERFECT. But the calamari was so overcooked it was gross to even try and chew. But the bartender was on point and the drinks were good. I’d come back next time, but just know what to order and what not to order.

Sorry for the late review. We had reservations at Joe’s crab shack Kemah Boardwalk for the annual Christmas boat parade. Quite a number of vessels, all covered with beautiful Christmas lights. The food was absolutely fantastic. Quite typical with Joe’s and any Landry‘s operation. Vegetables and sides served fresh and steamed. Seafood was fantastic atmosphere. The Pizza Oven, located at 215 Kipp Ave, Boardwalk #10, Kemah, TX 77565, is a popular spot on the boardwalk offering a variety of stone-oven thin-crust pizzas, sandwiches, salads, beer and wine. It's a go-to place for both children and adults looking for delicious food while enjoying the oceanfront. The menu includes freshly baked thin-crust pizzas from a stone hearth oven along with an assortment of salads and sandwiches.
This is the cutest little pizza place on the boardwalk! Nice and cool inside and fast service! Kid friendly as it’s connected to a game room.

First let me say I’ve always liked Pizza Oven, but it’s not the same anymore. I do not like making not so great reviews, but it’s appropriate. This isn’t the first time this has happened. I ordered the Margarita & a Pepperoni. We get home & this is the Margarita. For the price & presentation this is very unacceptable. Disappointed as I was, I phoned the Pizza Oven. I was told I could come get a cup of basil ? I found that also unacceptable, & just requested a refund for that Pizza. She opened the box, didn’t say a word handed me back a receipt without telling me anything & I had to ask- She says the highlighted $17 will be refunded, tossed the pizza in the trash and walked away. You shouldn’t get this kind of service especially from someone who probably didn’t even make the pizza. After spending almost $40 on pizza, we come home to a cold pizza to share.
Reanna P — Google review
The pizza is mid but quick and will cure hunger. The pizzas are all around $14.99 w a pretty extensive selection. There’s also pasta and salad. It’s located next to an arcade. The indoor AC is great! You can also sit on the patio and listen to the stage performances. I would not recommend the scampi pizza.
Ar M — Google review
Greasy pizza but good selection of toppings and design! The restaurant did not have kitchen to table service, with an order pick up system. The menu had a good selection of pizzas along with a build your own topping selection, and after 10-15 minutes our vegetarian deluxe pizza came. While the flavors were good, it was VERY greasy, the same for the other pizza we ordered. On the other hand, the space themed arcade, seating, and tvs were nice, adding to the NASA-themed atmosphere of the area.

Booked my daughter’s birthday here. Ravae was a great hostess, making sure all Our needs were met. Pizza was fresh, the kids enjoyed the arcade while adults visited in the nice air conditioned restaurant before heading out to enjoy the rides. The party package is such a great deal. I feel like it’s a hidden gem. Thanks Ravae for making our celebration special 🙏🏽

It is a nice place specially during pandemic, this is the one of the available place to eat. They serve fast for example 5 pizzas around 20 minutes and less. For family with children, there is a fun place with lots of games right next to it and 2 restroom one for store one for general. There is also another eating place which is enough distance for Overall prices are okay for that location. You can give a chance to see it.

Fine dining restaurant
Eculent is a captivating dining destination that promises an extraordinary multi-sensory experience, blending technology, art, and innovative cuisine into a prix-fixe format. Nestled just three blocks from the confluence of Trinity Bay and Galveston Bay, this restaurant has gained acclaim for its avant-garde dishes crafted by the imaginative David Skinner. His culinary approach transforms each meal into an adventure with numerous courses that often feature single yet unforgettable bites.
Thoroughly impressed! The most unique dining experience I have ever had. We went for my husband’s birthday and had a wonderful time. The food is epic, indescribable, amazing, we can’t wait to go back! Chef and his staff were friendly, delivered top notch service, and described each dish and wine pairing perfectly. Really one of the coolest things we have done!
Chloe R — Google review
The presentation of the food was appealing. However I’m not impressed with the flavor of most dishes. The ingredients and taste are too mundane for the price. More importantly, the whole experience took waaayyy too long - more than 10min interval between each dish and more than 5hrs in total? And the dishes did not contain enough protein - most were soups and sweet stuff that only make you more hungry during the 5hrs. I understand that this is more of an experience but at least you should feed people enough meat and that’s like the basic of a good meal. The room was cramped and people were sitting shoulder to shoulder. The guy behind me was loud and shouting the whole time. Would not recommend if you think “well this is expensive so the food must taste amazing.” No it does not. May be ok for social but any bar with a fraction of the cost can do equally well. A huge waste of time.

First time for our dining experience at this five-star establishment. David Skinner has done a remarkable job of weeding in multiple cuisines, cocktails, wines, desserts etc. We came in for the multi-course dining experience and it was absolutely incredible. We will be back to the other restaurants on-site. Keep in mind he has his own winery and distillery on site. David and his team take you through the kitchen, through all of this story of historical prominence of the dishes he prepares. A true gentleman, scholar and awesome chef!

We had the great opportunity to enjoy a meal at Eculent after having it on the bucket list for several years. This meal will make you think about the importance and weight that can be infused into ONE bite. The creativity and care that is taken from the food to the atmosphere and service are superb. Where the chef has taken inspiration from makes it approachable but flips it on its head. There are so many beautiful examples I could give, but I would hate to give away any of the wonderful surprises that await you! It is a must-do in your lifetime. Cannot wait to go back and to also check out their sister restaurant, the_prsv.

Eculent is a culinary experience like no other. The intimate dining experience hosts only 10 couples in a single synchronous serving per night. The 30-course themed dinner, complete with lighting treatment for each course, was delicious, innovative and artistically stunning. Every detail of the experience was considered. The staff was warm and friendly from start to finish. Truly a delight.

Eculent was such a unique taste adventure with each course taking another turn in the journey to the unexpected. The wine pairings were crisp and smooth and blended well with each course. We enjoyed the chef’s take on an ingredient that we have never had prepared in that way before. We were able to experience dishes that seemed normal on a menu but when prepared by Chef Skinner’s sous chef were enhanced with a magical twist. We are excited to experience the new menu in the coming months. Hopefully Chef Skinner will be on site for our next culinary adventure.

Extremely interesting dinner. Very cool dishes but not sure I would go again. 24 bite size courses $350/head plus tip which i think is important to know before you go. Do not go if you are a picky eater this place certainly goes beyond bounds of normal eatery. Some bites are very amazing while a couple were okay, but most were above average and not to my typical taste. I enjoyed the food presented in ways I had never seen and even trying things I normally would not. Chef and staff were excellent, I don't regret it but put the cost out there so no one else is caught off guard. Oh and the lights change with every meal...all of which are horrible for selfies!

Day 2

Center of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the center side of town. Start the day off with T-Bone Tom's, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Tookie's. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Steak house
T-Bone Tom's is a charming Southern eatery known for its deep-fried delights, BBQ, and burgers. Nestled in the marinas of Texas, this charismatic establishment offers a delightful dining experience with its tantalizing barbecues and carefully roasted steaks. The restaurant's brilliantly decorated interior exudes intimacy and a relaxed vibe, making it an ideal venue to savor an alluring menu that includes exotic meals like fried shrimp, oyster, and blackened catfish served with butter.
Austin was our server. He was very attentive, friendly, made sure to constantly check on us throughout our meal. Knowledgeable of menu, if he didnt know answer to a question, he would obtain clarification first before providing answer. Food was well prepared, everything was hot upon arrival to table, food was well seasoned. So glad we tried for ourselves instead of going with opinion of someone else who said food was not good.

We thought the armadillo eggs were definitely delicious. Our server was amazing and the customer service and vibes all around were great. We were just a bit disappointed in the quality of the prepared food. We would come back for drinks and appetizers, customer service and great atmosphere. Maybe not for the brisket in the mac and cheese, though. Which might be just a personal preference. We had heard great raving reviews about it before going ourselves for the first time.

This was my second time in a number of years that I have visited this restaurant in Kemah. My first was the better of the two visits. Because, I was mainly there to see the Texas music artist, Van Wilks, perform live in 2017 in promotion of his 21st Century Blues CD from two years prior. I do know now, after the second visit here, that the outdoors extension to the restaurant is the better, more lively place to sit and relax. Drink your favorite beverage and talk or l listen to live music. While inside on this Halloween visit, I felt I was constantly being observed by various members of their wait and buss staff. Because, they would make an appearance every few minutes, around the corner to the back booths and then quickly turnaround to retreat out of view from that back area of inside the restaurant. I suppose, because we were there still occupying the table and drinking tea after our meal there. So there wasn't enough for them to do elsewhere in their job description. I would also like to state now, that this restaurant is not a Texas general foods restaurant nor anything considered Tex Mex. Even though their main outdoor marquee sign says steakhouse & restaurant. Purely, it's a steak zoned, BBQ, hamburger and/or seafood fares restaurant. No fish and chips, I saw on their menu. You'll have to go on down to Kemah boardwalk area. There's a few good ones there! For example, instead of a great Texas nachos; with toppings of Texas chili or fajitas, with your choice of beef steak skirt or chicken breast or mixed, and quality nacho cheese, sour cream, fresh guacamole, and sliced jalopenos. They'll offer an entrée, simply called Brisket Queso. That is the closest thing to Español you'll have to choose from here. If ground or beef cuts is your main forte, there's plenty of sides to go along with your meal. Our appetizer of choice was the fried mushrooms with ranch dressing. And two sides, with potato salad and fried okra with my choice of two meats, good tasting ribs and sliced beef brisket. She chose the coconut fried shrimp. I Liked the very filling and thickened potato salad which of course, is like a meal in itself or a non sweet dessert in my opinion. So, as Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top says, Ease off of the potato salad! Or ya'll will be asking for takeout packaging like we did. Oh, and least not forget, their catchy claim to recognition here, that's for their brand of Armadillo eggs, aka (deep fried jalopenos). I tried those the first time I remember coming out to T Bone Tom's!

We came to Tom's for dinner and meats. This place does not disappoint at all. The worst parts were that the place has no official indoor seating it's all covered outdoor seats with fans running so on the hotter days it is probably a bit rough. There was love music playing and the band was doing a bunch of covers and played very well, they're just over powering while playing so conversations are mostly saved for in between songs or when the band takes a break. The food itself is delicious, with large portions at a very reasonable price. I ate the marbled brisket and sausage which were both exceptional. They came with a smokey bar b cue sauce which went great with both meats, though I preferred only a small hint of sauce. The onion rings were delicious and filling. I had to share them with my party to finish them off. If the weather isn't too hot, this restaurant is a must. Probably worth it even when it's hot too.

Ordered brisket queso for appetizer. Could've had a larger portion of brisket and chopped jalapeños served instead of large slices. Entree included blackened catfish with green beans, rice and spinach. Dinner companion ordered fried mushrooms as another appetizer. Outside was crispy, but I didn't like texture inside. Cocktail was a peach long island tea which could've been stronger. Server was attentive and humorous. Will return to try other items. Enjoyed live music on patio.

First time there. We love it. I have a life-threatening allergy to sea food (I can't even smell it), we told the waitress and she managed it great, she told us about the food that it was safe for me to order. She told the manager about it, and he approached us to make sure everything was ok. The food was so good, and the place was clean. I recommend this place 100%.

Last week I tried setting up a triple date night with a long time friend I haven't seen in a while and a family member. We'll my friend couldn't make it cause they were packing to go on vacation and the family member, we'll I'm never heard from them. So me and my sweetie had date night last night at T-Bone Tom's Steak House. Back in 1993, I witnessed a horrific accident in La Porte, a pick up truck rear-end 3 cars around 50 mph without hitting his brakes. The woman and her daughter was hurt pretty bad. The woman asked me to call her husband if i could. In 1993 this was when cell phones just came out and had roaming charges. At the accident I call her husband Tom. While waiting for her husband to arrive at the accident, I learned her husband owned this steak house. I saw this place numerous times before this accident as I went by it several times a week while driving trucks. I said I always wanted to go and check it out. I never did. 32 years later, last night, I took my sweetie, soon to be Vickie Johnson on date nite to this steak house. I'ma tell'n you, T-Bone Tom's Steak House did not disappoint. The portions where HUGE. Look at the size of the cheese sticks. Vickie had fried mushrooms for an appetizer. I told her don't eat all of them you wont eat your dinner. It was so much food, Vickie and I had 2 full meals left over for another day. The service good and the food was FANTASTIC. Our server offered us dessert on the house cause they felt it took to long for our food to come out. Vickie Johnson and I never noticed, we were enjoying our time together but when they offered free Key Lime Pie, fat boy here was NOT gonna argue about this. With all this and 3 adults beverages that were GREAT, tax title drive out for the experience was $140.00. Now some people may say that was expensive but to me this day and age and to have 2 extra meals to take home and the nice atmosphere this place offered, it wasn't bad at all for me. They offer dine indoor or outdoor dinning 🍽. They have a band outdoor 6 nights 🌙 a week. Last night 🌙 Vickie chose to dine indoor due to the heat 🥵 outside. If anyone lives in Houston or passing through, I highly recommend 👌 checking ✔️ this steak house out.

I can’t say enough good things about our experience here! I had to originally reschedule our Teambuilding activity here because of a car accident just before our allotted time. They were very understanding and empathetic to my situation and happily rescheduled to a later date. I emailed them on a Monday to reschedule for July 3 and even though they were closed on Mondays I received a call back very shortly after I emailed. They accommodated our requested time and were extremely helpful. Excellent customer service throughout. The showed up for our activity and the person running it was helpful and easy going. We walked us through and every single one of us had an amazing time! Thank you all for helping our first Teambuilding activity be a huge success in bringing us closer together greatly appreciated!!

Everyone here had debt in either a car or child support, you be the judge. Drinks are expensive, beer is a decent price. Nice patio area, but will get crowded at times. Most service is pretty mid, but not crazy rude. Honestly, the best way to describe this place is “mid.”

We were excited to experience this place since it was our first time but we we’re disappointed in the service. The seafood boil was amazing, Mac and cheese balls with étouffée had no flavor sadly. Beer was outrageous expensive so be ready to unload your wallet - $30 for 4 bottles of undressed beer. Our server did not check on us after we received our food and when she asked if I’d like a to-go box I explained that I was not satisfied with my meal, she simply walked away. Unfortunately, we probably won’t ever be back..

Visited for lunch today and was highly impressed! While the service was just okay, the food more than made up for it. We ordered the fried mushrooms and two cheeseburgers - one plain with just meat and cheese, and the other was a Tookie favorite, the #99. The patties were incredibly flavorful and well-sized for the price. We left with happy hearts and full bellies! Quick tip for future diners: fries are sold separately and don’t come with the burgers.

(5-26-25) We haven't been in for a bit, sadly - life & all. That said, the burgers are always top shelf. I don't recall being anything but pleased with the food, from TC, to the old Kemah place, to the current location. Legitimately awesome food for the 4 decades that I've had it. Today, though, our waitress, Maren made it even better. From absolute flawless attention to multiple tables, to a consistent request to turn on the train, she was on top of it all. Even kept our drinks more than well attended. An absolute gem! We'll try to get back a bit quicker next time, but I can't brag enough about today's visit.

Tookie's is one of our favorite burger spots in the greater Houston area. We've been there before the bypass was built and the quality of their burgers never changed. Their burgers are juicy, the fries are fantastic, and the patio views are always good. They also have a good selection of beer and alcohol, some options for vegetarians, and a kid's menu. There's a little bit of something for everyone, the food and drinks are reasonably priced, and the service is awesome!

I recently listened to an interview featuring the owner of Fish and Chips Houston on the Michael Berry Show. Intrigued by what I heard, I decided to give it a try. And let me tell you, it was absolutely incredible. I've never experienced anything quite like dipping chips (fries) in gravy before, but now I can't imagine having them any other way. The Fish N Chips dish was exceptional, with a generous portion of fish that perfectly complemented by the batter.
My husband and I stopped here for dinner one night while in Kemah. This was our first time at this place and we loved it. I got the chicken fingers and my husband got the steak pie. The service was wonderful. Our drinks were great and the food came out very hot which you don't always get in restaurants so I was amazed. The portions and quality of the food were great. Great little Pub. Excellent service for being so busy. Came for the fish and chips and it did not disappoint. Batter was even and stayed on the fish well after delivery to the table. Had to sit at bar, but thankfully bar seating was actually comfortable. Chairs were padded and backed. Bartender was awesome at their suggestions and we loved the cod fish and chip dinner, lamb pie and curry pie. Recommend for dinner, and there is outside seating too. It is a pub/bar so it can be rowdy inside at times.

Best Scotch eggs I’ve had outside of the U.K., excellent fish ‘n’ chips, amazing in-house mushy peas … curry sauce is pretty close to being authentic! Plus malt vinegar! Excellent service.

Just like we had when we visited Scotland!!! Made me homesick to go back. The sauces are all homemade and delicious! The fish is other worldly! The chips rather bland but were in Scotland also. The pie was tender meat and flaky crust, so delicious. Get the Irn Bru! I never thought I’d find it here in the states. The sticky toffee pudding we took to go. It was amazing, even better than the one from Gordon Ramsey Hell’s Kitchen. I love that it’s not super sweet and the spices give it nice flavor, very moist. This was a really delicious treat! Can’t wait to come back and dine again. Please make coronation chicken salad, we had it in Scotland and it became my obsession, the scotch egg sauce is very like the chicken salad dressing.

Had to make a trip to try out Bakkhus as a friend recommended the premade boil mix they use on their crawfish, "Dat Cajun Chitt." Consistent and simple to use for any boil. So when Bakkhus posted they use the same pre made boil mix via Facebook, we had to give it a try. It has a great citrusy flavor with a heat that kinda just lingers and fades after. The heat to us didn't build, it was very consistent. Good flavor over all. Definitely see why they recommended it to us. However, the shrimp to us had the best flavor here. Hands down a must order item to try. Service was slow, we were waiting 30+ mins should you order crawfish. This could be a hit or miss for some. We learned at the end, the table next to us noted they had different flavor options. However, the server never brought this to our attention, nor was it on the menu. Definitely worth a stop to check out, should you be a crawfish lover. Or just looking for a new Crawfish Spot! The boil mix is one I'd definitely recommend to anyone doing their own boil. Let me know what you thought of the flavor on your visit? Did we miss something? Until next time.

This is one of our favorite go to spots! They have half off appetizers Monday through Friday. One of the items offered is a sampler plate that is usually costs around $40 but closer to $20 during the week. SO MUCH FOOD and always delicious! During the cooler months they have soup flights. Yes, soup flights! There are usually 5-7 soups to choose from. The tomato basil ,chicken enchilada and gyro chili are a few of my favorites. If you love Greek food, this is a must try hidden gem. If not, they have other fantastic food choices and the Medusa burger is one of the best burgers around!! The fire feta is a must. We used to live in the area and would spend countless warm afternoons on the patio. Back to visit and had to make a trip to this place! The food is amazing! Must try Fire Feta and I highly recommend anything with gyro!

FABULOUS food and service by Morgan! We had the seafood special with crab legs, shrimp, and grilled oysters and everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly! Our server was super sweet and extremely attentive, and offered suggestions as to what to order! We loved her! Such a wonderful place! Do yourself a favor and try it!

Bakkhus Taverna did not disappoint! I had the gyro platter and it was absolutely delicious—great flavor and generous portions. The kids got sliders and fried shrimp and cleaned their plates, which never happens. And do yourself a favor: don’t leave without trying the bread pudding. It’s next-level good.

Restaurant
Nestled along the picturesque Kemah Boardwalk, Kemah Steak Company is a must-visit destination for steak lovers and seafood enthusiasts alike. This charming eatery combines a refined atmosphere with Texas hospitality, making it perfect for both special celebrations and casual dining. Guests can indulge in expertly prepared prime cuts of meat while sipping on specialty cocktails from an extensive wine list. The elegant decor sets the stage for memorable evenings, whether you're enjoying a romantic dinner or unwinding in the inviting patio area.
Our favorite steakhouse! The quality of their cuts is exceptional—tender and flavorful. The Truffle Mac n' Cheese is rich and creamy with just the right amount of truffle. The sautéed spinach compliments the richness of the steak. And of course let’s not forget to mention the wine! We usually ask for the same bottle but the servers have been great at recommending something new to us. The atmosphere adds to the appeal, offering an intimate, exclusive vibe that makes every meal feel special. Whether we’re celebrating a milestone or just craving a top-tier steak, this place delivers in both quality and experience. Highly recommend!

I would like to share my experience from my recent visit to your steakhouse, as I believe feedback is important for maintaining the quality of service. First, I want to commend the bartender for her exceptional service. She was engaging and made our evening enjoyable, which stood out during our visit. However, I encountered several issues that I feel need addressing. During our time at the restaurant, the hostess informed us that we were being too loud while interacting with the bartender, even though the establishment had only a couple of other guests at the time. This interaction left us feeling unwelcome. When our highly anticipated tomahawk ribeye ($180) arrived, it was cooked perfectly but served cold. The hostess assured me that they could reheat it without overcooking, so I consented. Unfortunately, the reheating process affected the steak's quality significantly, and it tasted far from what I would expect for the price. After we expressed our dissatisfaction, the same hostess inquired about our meal. When I mentioned it was not good, she walked away without addressing our concerns, which felt dismissive. In conclusion, while I appreciate the effort some staff put forth, my experience fell short of the expectations that come with dining at your steakhouse. I would recommend that you consider revisiting service protocols and quality standards to ensure a more consistent experience for your patrons.

My wife and I came here for our 20 year anniversary. This was the perfect place for use. I got the 12oz center cut ribeye and my wife got the salmon. Both dishes were delicious and priced well. Overall we both really liked this place and will definitely be coming back.

This place was delicious! I got the burger, which was the cheapest thing on the menu, and it was the best burger I've ever had in my life. The fries were great and I asked if they were cooked in tallow and the waitress said yes! Ms. Sonia was a wonderful waitress for us and I appreciate her fun banter and demeanor. My husband got the steak but decided he'd get the burger next time too.

Smoked Old Fashions! Great place for that special occasion to enjoy a good pour and steak. Steak was a little overdone. But I’ll know for next time. Atmosphere is nice. Smoked old fashion was the highlight. A little music in the background might be nice to drown out other conversations and stretch out another drink order. Did I mention smoked old fashions.

Namthai Restaurant and Bar is a charming establishment in Kemah that serves up traditional Thai delicacies and refreshing happy hour drinks. The cozy ambiance and delightful decor create a welcoming atmosphere for diners. One must not miss the opportunity to indulge in the delectable mango sticky rice, which is both warm and flavorful. This hidden gem has gained a loyal following due to its exceptional service, fresh ingredients, and mouthwatering Thai curry.
Been looking for a great Thai spot due to the better half being picky. This was definitely a win! Tom kha soup was great, and full of flavor. Garlic Pepper chicken was good, pad Thai was a hit, and the satay was good. The food has plenty of meat which could be a mixture of enough or too much depending on your taste. I would definitely recommend it and I would go again.

This place is AMAZING!!!! The facility and bathroom are extremely clean and well maintained! The lady who runs this place is so nice and friendly! The menu had a HUGE variety of options! The food was DELICIOUS and came super fast (less than 5min) and was super fresh and hot! The dessert was great as well! I would give this place 100 stars if I could! Absolutely recommend 10/10!!!!

OMG! This place is incredible! Went in on a hot day and immediately got amazing service! The food was priced lower than it should be. I've never had fried pork ribs and they were so tender, moist, and flavorful. I gave one to each person in my group and instantly regretted sharing. 😅 i wanted it all for myself and plus theirs. The setting was gorgeous and the staff was so nice and attentive without being overwhelming. He was on it for real! It shocked me that it wasn't packed because everything was delicious.

I loved the wonton soup; it had lots of vegetables and a unique homemade flavor. The fried tilapia was well-seasoned and golden brown. Our appetizers were also very good. Our waitress was very attentive. they have good prices.

Came here with a group of friends, this ambiance was just perfect, very vintage vibe. I had ordered the tiger cry salad, most of us did. It was delicious, the bar had a wide selection of wines and spirits, and their thai tea is one of the best I've had. The prices were very reasonable. They automatically added gratuity since we were a party of 6, so keep that in mind. Definitely give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

A gem of a surprise! A small two-story restaurant in the heart of the Kema Boardwalk. Small, quaint, dark; perfect for its style. Beautiful decor, and romantic setting, just like it was out of a storybook. I wanted to give it four stars because I don’t like giving fives out on everything, but I simply could not find anything they did wrong. June, our server, was vibrant and happy. Not like so many chain Asian restaurants run by Latinos (I intend absolutely no offense by that remark I believe food is better experienced when it is culturally accurate): an authentic feel and experience. The menu was full, thorough, and yet not overwhelming. Several familiar appetizers available for your non-out of the box guests. And plenty of dishes to explore if you are adventurous. Unlike many restaurants, when they say “spicy”, they mean it. Any herbs leaves and aromatics they add to their dishes are so potent. They almost have as much impact as the spice. I coughed, I laughed, and I cried my way through the whole dish. Mixed seafood, green curry. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Special note: I always like to remark on the bathrooms. I typically like over decorated super clean themed bathrooms. This one was not that however, it was just perfect for the setting. Imagine a spy movie where the MI 6 operative in a Bangkok Riverside café slips into the bathroom to take a clandestine phone call. Dimly lit, sparse amenities, dark stains along the lower portion of the walls from years of mops rubbing against it. The woodboard plank like tiles on the floor were not staggered like a typical wooden floor would be. They were perfectly lined up in rows. My American mind wanted them to be staggered so bad but they just weren’t again seeming like an authentically assembled bathroom for foreign restroom in a foreign climb where efficiency and economics overruled modern sensibility. I loved it. The dining area was tightly spaced yet somehow didn’t feel crowded once you were seated at the table. The bar and the tables were lined with heavy carved wooden chairs, and leather backs. Only adding to the charm. We will definitely be back !

Landry's Seafood House is a family-friendly chain eatery known for its high-quality Gulf Coast seafood and steaks, set in a laid-back atmosphere with beautiful seaside views. Located at Kemah Boardwalk, this restaurant offers exceptional dining experiences with its prime location opening into the bay. The menu features delectable treats like Coconut Shrimp in plum sauce, Shrimp Fresca served with vegetable orzo and seasonal vegetables, and New Orleans Crawfish Bread.
My experience at Landry’s was outstanding. I’m from New Orleans and enjoy the Landry’s there and I’m happy to say that the service here is just as pleasant. Our server Karina was absolutely amazing! Although they were pretty busy, she made the wait very worthwhile. Management on duty also checked in on us as well while we waited. My wife and I shared the New Orleans Crawfish Bread as an appetizer, and had the Stuffed Salmon & Stuffed Shrimp Enbrochette as our entrees. We both had Flavored Palmers to drink. The food was fresh, the portions are filling and the taste is just as great as it is down home. We walked the boardwalk after dinner and came back for dessert. The Cinnamon Bread Pudding was great but the Triple Chocolate Cake stole the show. We were in town for our anniversary, and they made our visit just as special as the day already was. Will definitely stop in to dine anytime I’m in the area.

We made reservations for a birthday dinner and asked for a window table. We arrived early and were seated immediately. We ordered drinks and gumbo while we reviewed the menu. My husband said the gumbo was good. When she came back to take our dinner order, I asked her which was better in her opinion between the almond crusted mahimahi and the coastal seafood pasta, she said the mahi mahi so that’s what I ordered. It did not dissapoint. It was so flavorful I ate the entire dish. My husband ordered the stuffed shrimp enbrochette. He did not like the stuffing part. Said it tasted undercooked. The green beans that came with it were the opposite and overcooked. They even brought him a second portion which wasn’t any better. The manager was extremely apologetic and took half off his meal. Which we appreciated and did not expect. Now the desserts were absolutely delicious!! My husband got the triple chocolate cake and loved it. I got the seasonal buttercream cake with strawberries and OMG, it was AMAZING!! It tasted like those strawberry shortcake ice cream bars but WAY more delicious!! I ate the entire thing!!! It is not on the menu. It is a special so you will have to ask for what the specials are.

Lively restaurant with a beautiful view of the water and the boardwalk. Check out the video and pictures for a better look. For the food - we had a plate of fried seafood and it tasted great. Service was friendly. There's seating inside and outside, and sometimes there's a wait to find a table.

As a native Louisiana Cajun, I grew up on the original Landry's Seafood. It's great to see that this location in Texas stayed true to its roots. Beautiful restaurant and fantastic food.

We've been here a few times, but this was our best visit so far imo. No searching for a parking spot to no waiting for a table. Everything was already starting off good. We had a party of 12 so the restaurant sat us in the private dining room as soon as we walked in. We were then greeted almost immediately by our very helpful waiter. Drinks were brought in timely fashion as were the appetizers. The suggestion for the appetizers was spot on, so we went with it. It was very good, nice big portions and great presentation. The main entrées were ordered soon after. Everyone's plate arrived on time and all of them looked so good. Everything tasted as good as it looked. Doggie Bags definitely weren't needed! LOL! We skipped dessert this time but that won't happen next time😬

This place was horrible. Overpriced for microwaved food. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Bacon wrapped shrimp was cold on the inside. The manager was rude and was running guests off of the tables on the walkway. She was telling them that they were going to be seating people there when the restaurant was basically empty and I can tell why cause the food was disgusting. The service was terrible. I would never go to this place again. I do not recommend ever stepping foot in this place. You better off fishing off the pier and cooking the fish yourself…

We went to go eat with friends/family for June's 60th Birthday party! The service was excellent and the food was good but I did not care for the dirty rice at all. It was horrible and they need to change the recipe. Other than that my son like the pizza and my shrimp en brochette and green beans were delicious. I ordered a mango mojito and it was delicious. Everyone had a great time and we had a window view but it was dark out so all you can see are the boats and yachts passing by.

Seafood restaurant
Saltgrass Steak House, established in 1991, is a laid-back and acclaimed steakhouse with a Texas-inspired ambiance. The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring certified Angus Beef steaks, char-grilled fish, chicken dishes, and burgers. In addition to its meaty offerings, the establishment also serves freshly made bread and soups. Guests can enjoy their meals in a casual setting while savoring delectable desserts.
Great Food, So-So Service Located on the Kemah, TX Boardwalk, this steakhouse offered great food and a lively atmosphere, but the service left room for improvement. The meal started with a fresh house salad topped with ranch dressing. The vegetables were crisp, and the ranch was creamy and flavorful—exactly what you’d expect. The garlic mashed potatoes were smooth, buttery, and had just the right amount of garlic. The main course featured a medium-rare steak cooked to order, tender and juicy with a nice sear. The grilled shrimp added a nice touch, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was festive with holiday decorations and waterfront views, making it a fun spot for our Christmas party of 20. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food or the setting. Orders were mixed up multiple times, and it took too long for the server to take orders or bring drinks. While handling a large group can be challenging, it felt like the staff just wasn’t prepared or focused. Overall, I’d rate the food and atmosphere 5 stars, but the service gets 4 stars due to the repeated mistakes and delays. I’d go back for the food and location but would hope for a better service experience next time.

The service was excellent, and the food looked and tasted good except for the fact that my Urban Cowboy steak was cold. Didn't make a big deal about it because we were already hungry before getting there and waiting an hour to get a table. I also gave them the benefit of the dought because it was super busy due to Spring Break, and I know the waiter was trying to bring all the food at once. Austin did a great job serving us and would highly recommend him to everyone.

Wow, what a fantastic experience! Our waiter was not only hilarious but also super attentive. He made such meaningful suggestions that really helped us make our decisions. When our kids unexpectedly joined us, he quickly adjusted and made the whole experience seamless. The orders were taken swiftly, and the food and service flowed together perfectly. And let's talk about the food - it was outstanding! This restaurant has an incredible variety to please even the most demanding taste buds. I absolutely recommend this place and we will definitely be coming back very soon!

Best Dining Experience We've Ever Had! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Saltgrass recently, and we cannot say enough wonderful things about the experience, especially thanks to our incredible server, Cameron. From the moment we were seated, Cameron made us feel welcomed and well cared for. His attentiveness was unmatched, he anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, checked in regularly without ever interrupting, and made sure every detail of our meal was perfect. He struck the perfect balance between being professional, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic about making our night special. Not only was Cameron incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, but he also gave thoughtful recommendations that turned out to be spoton. Our drinks were never empty, our food came out perfectly timed, and we never felt rushed, it was clear he takes real pride in his work. We’ve dined at many restaurants over the years, but Cameron was hands-down the best server we have ever had. His service elevated the entire experience, and we left the restaurant already talking about our next visit before we leave the country to return back to NZ. If you're headed to Saltgrass, ask for Cameron, you won't be disappointed

The Flying Dutchman is a long-standing seafood restaurant known for its Cajun-inspired dishes and spacious waterfront patio with a bar and fire pit. It has been a popular choice for locals, offering leisurely waterfront dining in a relaxed atmosphere. The menu features fresh seafood creations like Louisiana Cajun Gumbo, live crawfish (seasonally), Island Redfish, Mahi Acapulco, and various seafood platters.
This restaurant is open. We had the charbroiled oysters, red snapper, and shrimp po-boy. All were good portions and great tasting. The service was excellent and friendly. The ocean views were very nice as well. Cost for 3 with non-alcoholic drinks came up to $89 plus tip.

To begin, our server at the Flying Dutchman provided exceptional service. While I am unable to disclose her name without her consent, her pleasant demeanor and extensive knowledge of the menu contributed to a welcoming atmosphere for my family and me. The culinary offerings were of high quality, featuring well-seasoned and flavorful dishes that were neither bland nor over/undercooked. I highly recommend this establishment for a satisfying dining experience.

Embarking on a culinary journey at **The Flying Dutchman** in Kemah, Texas, is akin to discovering a hidden gem for epicureans. My recent visit with my senior parents was nothing short of delightful. Upon arrival, we found a convenient turn-around adjacent to the Aquarium Restaurant, which provided a seamless drop-off point for my parents. Although the pathway to The Flying Dutchman was slightly elongated, it was an effortless stroll without any steps to navigate. A minor crossing over quaint railroad tracks led us to the entrance, where the restrooms were conveniently located to the left. As we entered, a cordial host welcomed us and escorted us to a charming table with an inside window, offering a panoramic view of the bustling canal. The vista was enchanting, with an array of ships, sailboats, and amusement boats gracefully navigating the waters—a truly magical spectacle! The beverages, presented in whimsical tiki glasses adorned with little umbrellas, added a touch of tropical flair to the experience. As for the cuisine, it was nothing short of phenomenal. The oysters, served on the half shell, were the epitome of freshness, surpassing any I've previously savored. The generous seafood platter was ample enough to satisfy three appetites, and the shrimp cocktail was a delightful accompaniment. The Flying Dutchman is a fail-safe choice for an exceptional dining experience in Kemah. Just a small tip: bring a sweater, as the air conditioning is quite brisk. I would gladly bestow 10 stars on this establishment, especially since my father proclaimed the lunch to be among the top five meals he's ever enjoyed!

Pleasantly surprised that our hotel gave breakfast vouchers to The Flying Dutchman. We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious breakfast served by a friendly, well-versed-on local-sites waitress, while watching the boats go out. Giant biscuits, insanely good sausage, & mouth-watering shrimp & crab omelet.

Great outdoor seating! They have lounge areas, a fire pit and outdoor tables with nice views of the water. Outdoor seating is right next to a playground. Snag a drink while you watch your kids play. We didn’t try the food but the margaritas were pretty good. The service was good. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was not busy. It’s a nice spot to get a drink while looking out at the water.

We love sitting on the patio and watching the boats go by while we dine here. The service is always good and the seafood is fresh. The kids love the menu, and the happy hour has decent specials. Part of Landry's Select Club.

Such a wonderful dining experience. The Flying Dutchman is a very "relaxed-elegance"... It is comfortable, yet upscale. The food is always top notch, and if you are fortunate to come when there are some open chairs at the outside fire pit, be sure to relax and take in the sights.. And always order the ceviche..

The Flying Dutchman catered our meeting for lunch today and I had the clam chowder soup and it was wonderful so I had to come back at dinner and get some more. I also ordered a half a dozen oysters on the half shell and sat outside and enjoyed the evening. The oysters were extremely fresh and very flavorful. They came with cocktail sauce and horseradish. I ordered a bowl of the clam chowder and it was a perfect early evening dinner. The clam chowder is honestly one of the best I've ever had. I would have given this five stars except I really didn't eat a meal so I don't know how those are but what I had was very good. The server was very attentive and helpful and my food came out quickly. The atmosphere was really nice. This is a great place to take a date.

The Kemah Boardwalk Marina is a vibrant destination that captures the essence of Texas charm. Located just 45 minutes from Downtown Houston, this marina is celebrated as the boating capital of Texas, boasting an impressive array of recreational boats and a lively atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls along the boardwalk while soaking in stunning views and exploring various attractions. The area also features excellent dining options, though be prepared for longer wait times during peak hours.
I love this marina and all the amenities it provides. It’s always clean and they really know how to decorate for the seasons. The staff are always professional, friendly and helpful. I’m glad my boyfriend and I chose this marina out of all the marinas we looked at. It also easy provides easy access to the bay, also the boardwalk is right there with always something fun going on. The marina is also very dog friendly which is great! The other mariners there are great as well.

Truly the best ran, cleanest marina I've ever had a boat in over the last 30 years of having boats throughout the country. Most notably, the staff - they could not be any friendlier and more helpful. We love it here. Anyone looking for a place to dock their boat should really consider docking here. And, surprisingly, we love being next to the Boardwalk. Initially, I was concerned that the noise and the additional traffic from being next door would be annoying. I could not have been more wrong. It's great being next to all the restaurants, bars, and more. I would never consider any other marina in the Clear Lake/Kemah area. All our dock neighbors feel the same! Thank you Jennifer, Cyndy, Joe, Pam, and all the team that makes this place great!

Went down here for the first time since coming to Houston. Was a pretty area but was starting to look a bit tired and old. Had lunch at a restaurant looking over the water. Was a Thursday and pretty much looked like a ghost town! Lol. Better then being crowded I guess.

Kemah was awesome! Aside from the rain,my daughter and all of her class mates enjoyed it! The only reason it did not receive 5 stars is because the lunch for schools and teachers attending as groups taste like hospital food. Lol. For 8 bucks I could have ordered an appetizer at restaurants on site and been satisfied.

Art of Coffee is a cozy coffee shop located in the Lighthouse District near the Kemah Boardwalk. The shop offers expertly prepared lattes that can be enjoyed in their lush backyard garden. They also have a loyalty card for returning customers seeking peace, relaxation, and great coffee. In addition to a variety of good coffee options, they offer pastries and breakfast tacos for a convenient morning stop.
The combination of the comfy sofas and inviting smell of coffee while enjoying the paintings make it a really cozy environment. The mocha flavor is spot on. But for a change, you can ask the barista to surprise you. Good coffee and really friendly staff!

Enjoyed the local coffee shop to do some reading. Ordered their iced specialty banana bread and it was delicious and smooth. Nice seating with tables and a back area for more casual seats.

Service was awesome! Very calm and cozy location with couches and tables to sit at. I got the cheese danish and honey lavender iced latte. Both were fantastic. Cheese Danish was packed with filling, super soft, and fresh. I'm only visiting the area but would definitely recommend it!!!!

I came here for a quick breakfast and a good matcha, but left super disappointed. My matcha was basically just milk — barely any flavor, as you can see in the photo. They open at 7, so I picked this spot to stay on schedule, but when we got there at 7:40, they said they couldn’t take food orders because the cook wasn’t in yet… until 8?? Why open at 7 if you can’t serve breakfast until 8? Completely threw off my morning. Won’t be coming back.

the Kemah location is my favorite! I have not been disappointed by service or coffee!! the staff is wonderful and so sweet! :) such a cool atmosphere between the aroma and the art along with their tea wall! recommend: iced honey latte & iced honey lavender latte

Nice place to grab a coffee to go. The coffee is good, met my expectations, and they have great variety and customization of what you can order. They also have pastries and breakfast tacos, which makes it a good one stop shop in the morning. Wish they had a bigger indoor table space, but they have nice outdoor seating and couches. I had the Golden Latte, which was a Butterscotch Caramel Latte, and it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but was still good. Great place to grab a snack and drink in the morning. (They also have the largest coffee bathroom I’ve seen)

Going to have to leave a one star review for this location. I come here very often with my family and it’s usually okay. For some reason on 2/3/25 around 7:20PM an associate was hovering over my family and I in the toys section. My one year old was walking around as we were letting him choose a toy. An associate that was obviously watching us approached us and asked if we needed help looking for anything. Very odd and felt like we were being watched. Left with the toy my little boy picked out and don’t think I will be returning.

I called to check if they had a bag in stock that my girlfriend wanted and the lady that answered the phone, I think her name was Micah? She was very sweet, tone was super enthusiastic, very helpful as well. They ended up having THREE of the bags I was looking for, I called about fifteen other stores and none of them had a single one. So they carry some good finds on top of the pleasant experience I had with Micah. Will definitely come back here for more deals in the future!

Bill's Bar & Burger offers a delightful dining experience with delicious food and exceptional service. The menu features unique burgers like the Big Cat burger, which comes with pulled pork, a fried egg, and cheese on an English muffin. Guests rave about the delectable queso and the indulgent shakes such as the birthday monster shake and churrific churro monster shake. The friendly staff, including servers like Miranda and Kieran, contribute to the welcoming atmosphere of this establishment.
We loved it! Awesome burgers AND shakes....Miranda and Kieran were awesome in waiting our table! The burgers were unique as well as the shakes! Very friendly staff!

Dallas was an amazing host! Amazing food. It was above and beyond what I expect, and at affordable prices. Just a wonderful experience and place. Thank you for treating us so kindly!

Miranda was an awesome server! The queso is delicious. My husband LOVED the Big Cat burger (burger on an English muffin with pulled pork, a fried egg, cheese, ltp). The real treat were the shakes. I ordered the birthday monster shake and it was BOMB. The churrific churro monster shake was the highlight of my husband's meal. 10/10 recommend and ask for Miranda!

-The place has a nice view with a dining patio. -The service was excellent and fast. -The food quality was terrible! It does not taste fresh and really undercooked. We ordered burger and Salad and both were really bad! -The food is overpriced considering the terrible quality. -The restroom was not clean and not suitable for use. I would have given one star except for the service that was excellent.

Got the Classic Bill with strawberry shake. The wife got the same with a chocolate shake. Every thing was fantastic! If you're looking for a tasty gourmet burger and shake, this place is a must.
Timothy L — Google review
The food was good. The service was alright. I was not super impressed w their offerings, not enough for what they charged. Now, nothing was terrible... it for sure wasn’t about that. But I just don’t like restaurants like this who’s purpose are just to take advantage of patrons bc they know they need food so they upcharge.
Aubrey W — Google review
Delicious burger in a relaxed atmosphere. We had their burgers and they were excellent! Sweet potato fries were good and we had pretzel bites to start (get the pretzel bites!). They also have a selection of shakes we didn't get to try this time. The service wasn't that great and the restaurant was only moderately busy. The food was so good that the service wasn't enough to ding them on the rating. Highly recommend!
John B — Google review
First visit today. It's quite a bit overpriced for the quality. We have several local burger joints within a mile of here that are less expensive, far better quality and bigger servings. Ambiance was very nice, the staff was very attentive and did a great job. Overall, it's a fun place to try but not something I would likely do again. I asked the manager if the food was fresh or was frozen, he told me frozen. Disappointing for the prices they charge.

Restaurant
Lil Saul's Tacos is a popular spot in Kemah, known for its delicious and well-seasoned food. The restaurant offers counter service and a clean, bright, and inviting atmosphere. Customers recommend trying the Galveston and El Lago tacos, which can be served on a lettuce wrap instead of a tortilla. The chips are crispy and not overly salty, while the salsa has just the right amount of spice.
Excellent food and fun atmosphere. The beef is fillet mignon across most of the menu so, it is a great value for the money. The beans are the best you will find anywhere. The staff is wonderful and the service is great. You really need to stop in and enjoy this place. Saul is a great guy so be sure say hello to him.
Daryl 2 — Google review
I had been wanting to try Lil Saul's Tacos, but always dread going to Kemah because on weekends and in Summer, it can busy. I opted to go in on a Thursday around 1 pm, which was a good choice because no one else was there. It's counter service, so you place your order and then grab a seat. They are still not up to serving the full menu, but rolling things out, per the employee we spoke with. I ordered the Galveston and El Lago tacos on a lettuce wrap instead of tortilla. I want to point out that they do have almond flour tortillas for all my keto friends, but I did not partake because I am not doing keto. The Galveston taco is ahi tuna and it was delicious! The El Lago was chicken, and while it said the chicken was spicy, I didn't think it was. The Mister ordered nachos and the queso that was on them was so good! While we waited for our food to come out, they gave us some chips and salsa. The chips are light and airy, almost like a baked chip. Very tasty and different. They use these same chips for the nachos, so they were soon soggy. Perhaps use a thicker chip for the nachos to prevent this. Since they are awaiting their liquor license, they gave us samples of the blood orange and lemon lime margaritas. Super yum! All in all, a great meal and as they come up to full speed on their menu, it will be even better!
Monica B — Google review
Had an absolutely amazing experience!!!!! The food was fanominal and very well seasoned. Saul's white queso will change you from ever wanting yellow again. Very good beans and the tacos are really good. I had the "El Lago" and highly recommend it. Just the perfect amount of heat to balance everything out and make sure you have the Blood Orange margarita!

My husband and I ordered The Nassau Bay but veganized it.. no queso with a tortilla, chips and salsa, beans and rice. That guy really knows what he is doing. The Tracy's were fresh, flavorful and beyond delicious. Chips were crispy, not overly salty, salsa was spicy, and beans and rice were nicely seasoned. The guacamole was not salty but had a nice flavor. Parking is good, inside is a little small but clean, bright, and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant.
M S — Google review
I loved the fried crawfish tail taco! The beans were fantastic too! I'm not a rice eater and passed on this side.

Frank B — Google review
Service was incredibly slow. I went with a group of 4 at 11:30am on a weekday and we waited 45 minutes for our order of 9 tacos. The complimentary rice and beans didn't come out for another 10 minutes after that, and we were the only people in the restaurant the entire time. Apparently, everyone else knows to avoid their "lunch rush". Once we got our very expensive tacos ($6-$8 per taco), things did not improve. The tortillas tasted stale and the meat was either dry or overcooked. There also aren't any fountain drinks, so asking for a water gets you a $2.50 bottle of water. There are better tacos pretty much everywhere in Houston. Go somewhere else.
Alan M — Google review
This is not an average Mexican food Restaurant!! The variety and attention to unique details makes this place one of my new favorites. The beans and chips w/ queso a...and blood orange margarita _ are the BEST I've ever had at a restraunt. It's a clean friendly fun place to be and the people who run it are really nice and seem to genuinely care about the experience of everyone who comes through their door.

Everyone who waited on us from the time we hit the door to the time we left were absolutely fantastic. We had a wonderful evening it is one for the books thank you Joe’s Crab Shack for the fabulous event!

The location is outstanding.they are might be good for crabs ! But didn’t tried. We had chicken tacos, tortias was very cold and hard to chew. Chicke was grilled but really cold ! I felt like having Taco Bell tacos ! Drinks was amazing, it was super refreshing. Also the appitizer was okay. The reason behind 3 stars because of their service and tacos. I waited 10 minutes for someone to give us the table than another 15 min for server to come and take orders ! But server was very polite and helpful.

Whataburger, a beloved fast-food chain that has been serving up delicious burgers since the 1950s, is a must-visit for anyone craving a satisfying meal. During my recent visit, despite the bustling crowd, I was impressed by the exceptional service provided by Yvonne. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor made my experience truly enjoyable as she ensured our food arrived promptly while maintaining a positive atmosphere. Every time I stop by Whataburger, I'm greeted with warmth and dedication from all employees.
Excellent service from Candy. I don't make a habit of stopping by often, but this morning I was really hungry after my shift. Excellent customer service. The patty melt was really hot 🔥 & made to order. Peach pie was really tasty. My all time fave is their Cobb Chicken salad. Plenty of ingredients all the time, when my Dad orders to get mine delivered. Outstanding!!!

We had a great experience during our visit, even though the place was extremely busy. Yvonne, who served us, was incredibly polite and professional crazy I even say that it’s whataburger ! . She took the time to reassure us that our food would come out as quickly as possible, and she kept things moving with a calm and positive attitude. Her service made a big difference and really stood out. Thank you, Yvonne, for making our visit a pleasant one!

This Whataburger does not take big bills at night! That stinks. Having written that, this Kemah Whataburger is attentive and professional. They get extremely busy at night after Midnight every night. People come because this Whataburger has very good service. It can take time but if you check your order before you leave this Whataburger will fix any issues quickly and politely apologize. Great customer service Kemah Whataburger!!

I come here quite often and service is usually good. Deserae made me feel very unwelcome with her rude tone and taking forever to take my simple order. She took my phone when i paid with apple pay when other workers let me keep my phone in hand and made me get out my car even though i wasn’t that far out. bad experience.

This is my favorite restaurant — I truly enjoy being here. Every single employee is friendly, hardworking, and genuinely dedicated to serving customers. And it’s not just one shift; I’ve seen different teams working at different times, and they’re all outstanding. I’m also a Dasher in the area, and if there’s one place I can confidently say prepares food with the highest level of dedication, cleanliness, and care, it’s this restaurant. As a Dasher, I highly recommend it as one of the best spots in League City and the surrounding area. And as a regular customer, I can tell you that everyone here is committed to giving you the best service and the best flavor. And if sometimes you feel like you have to wait a bit—please do. Perfection takes time, and what they serve here is worth every minute.

⭐ 1 star Deeply disappointing and upsetting visit to Whataburger. 305 FM Rd 518 East, Kemah, TX 77565 I witnessed one of the worst displays of customer service I’ve ever seen. Joan, the cashier, was openly rude and dismissive to multiple elderly customers who were struggling to use their phones and the app. Instead of offering help or patience, she acted annoyed, rolled her eyes, and spoke to them with such condescension that it was hard to watch. She told multiple elderly customers to get out of line because they were holding it up! What upset me even more was how she treated a mother with small children who was clearly overwhelmed. Rather than showing even an ounce of empathy, Joan was short, cold, and visibly irritated — as if this mom was an inconvenience instead of a paying customer doing her best. I witnessed the mom order white milk for her children and Joan gave her chocolate , the mom politely corrected Joan and Joan told her “YOU SAID CHOCOLATE” …. Can you even imagine being spoken to like that?????? No one should be made to feel like a burden for needing a little help or for showing up with kids. This isn’t the kind of energy you expect from Whataburger, a place that’s always felt family-friendly and welcoming until now. I know today is stressful but there is absolutely no excuse to treat people like garbage! I truly hope management addresses this. Joan should not be working the front counter if she cannot treat every customer — young or old — with basic kindness and respect.

Great Restaurant/ Venue! Very large inside. Lots of tables, choice of seating on patio, live music area with bar, inside. Side inside area with bar. You can still dine and not be in the middle of the live music crowd. Patio has a cool bar and is pet friendly. Patio out front with no TVs or music, great if your wanting a chill dinner no music or crowds. Poll tables, games. Prices are fair. Food is great, highly recommend the Steak and Crawfish. Large portions. Great variety of drinks and beer, daily Happy Hour specials .

We sat out on the patio and it was surprisingly cool, they have commercial fans blowing just the right amount. First thing we noticed were cat food bowls. Then saw a cat curled up sleeping. Then noticed they had a little tent/ house for him. His name is Jack. They take great care of him w/ vaccines and neuter, one of the staff kept him at their house a few days while he recovered... Our server was Preston, he was very friendly and takes his time for questions. The potato skin appetizer was phenomenal, with sour cream and ranch for dipping. The iced tea was great and when my glass got low, he showed up with another glass without as sking. My wife loved the ribeye sandwich and some of the best onion strips ever. I had the ribeye steak, next time I'll try the chicken fried steak. There was a guy playing guitar, acoustic and later electric, he was great!! It was one of the best dining experiences we've had. 🤠

This was my 1st time here and I hands down say it was a nice experience. I sat outside and the waitress was very nice. She was very attentive and checked on us multiple times without being overbearing. The food came out hot and good (needed a little more seasoning but thats just my preference). They had great happy hour and lunch options to choose from. I would definitely go back.

We came on a Thursday night. They had live music playing, great performance. I had a few margaritas and my fiancé had vodka crans, which were actually on special for six dollars, Tito's ! not bad at all. We got an appetizer that included wings, and fried mushroom, delicious . The ambience was great. They had a big patio, even an outdoor section and an indoor as well. So close to home and we are definitely coming back.

Amazing food and great service. I've had most of the menu and I am constantly surprised at how good things are. Sometimes the music can be a bit much at 10am brunch... The only thing on the menu I don't like is the Nashville hot chicken. Grilled oysters are usually good but I've had misses, too.
Tyler C — Google review
Really great place. Live music that really comes with it. There food is pretty good but not at there prices. It's not gourmet but you'll like it. Sailaway Clear Lake Charters is a private boat ride experience located in the serene Clear Lake/Bay Area of Houston, offering a relaxing way to explore the tranquil waters of Galveston Bay. Whether it's a corporate retreat, an intimate birthday celebration, or a family outing, sailing aboard the Sailaway Cat promises to be an unforgettable adventure. The charter provides various watercraft options and Captain Matt ensures a fantastic time with his accommodating and flexible approach.
We sailed with Captain Matt and had the BEST time!! He augmented our trip to maximize our comfort and enjoyment on the water. We played our playlist, sipped our beverages, and didn’t worry about one single thing besides having fun! Our trip was rescheduled a few times due to weather and every time Matt was so kind and considerate. He really made us feel so special! Book with Sail Away Charters - we certainly will again!

My family and i had a great time the other night on Sailaway Cat. Capt. Matt was very professional and saw to it that we had a great time. This came as no surprise because for over 10 years I had a boat 3 slips down from him. He was always friendly and his boat was the cleanest and best maintained in the marina. The pic is of me at the helm. We are definitely going again.

We were finally able to set sail with Captain Matt to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a lovely time and it was a beautiful evening after all the rescheduling due to all the rain and thunderstorms over the last month. Thank you for working with us to be able to have such a great experience on your boat moving through the water and enjoying the music, relaxing and letting Len and Kimberly sail. What a treat!
Debbie S — Google review
Captain Matt was amazing and fun, and his boat was beautiful! I went 3 days ago and am already planning my next charter. He was very accommodating with everything. The weather was looking iffy and he was very flexible. We got so lucky with the weather. He left it up to us if we wanted more excitement in terms of going over waves or if we wanted to be more gentle as we had a pregnant friend on board. We did a little in between! Sailaway Cat was spotless and very spacious. There were 3 of us but we could have definitely had more and still had plenty of room! It was a magical day and we could not have asked for a better Captain!

We went on the 3-hour tour for my Mom's birthday and we loved it! Captain Matt was very flexible when we had to reschedule and was a great captain and guide of the area. If you would like a fun and relaxing boat ride with a close-knit group, this is the private event for you.

Deep Hole Park is a small grassy area with a gazebo, playground, and waterfront promenade tailored for angling. As one engaged in fishing activities, an unforeseen incident occurred when a sizeable fish pulled the fishing rod into the water. Initially contemplating diving into the water or signaling passing boats for help, these efforts proved futile in retrieving both the fishing rod and catch. However, an alternative rod was employed to retrieve the lost one but became entangled in a tree instead.

Was fishing for about 2 hours when we hear a big splash in the water… IT WAS OUR POLE THAT GOT PULLED IN THE WATER BY A BIG FISH. We thought about jumping in the water, we tried flagging boats down to help us get our pole and that BIG FISH out the water. Eventually since that wasn’t working we used the other pole to try to pull in the lost pole, got it stuck on the tree :( cut the line and put more weights on it. A couple minutes later and it got hooked onto something, reeled it in real slowly and seen it was THE POLEEEEEEEE!!!!! Yuppiiieee Got the pole back and it’s a win for us…. But noo fish :(((

Seafood restaurant
Nestled along the picturesque waterfront, Joe Lee's Seafood Kitchen is a beloved family-owned establishment that has been delighting seafood lovers in Kemah for over 30 years. Renowned for its generous portions and diverse menu, this charming eatery offers everything from fried and grilled fish to blackened specialties. Signature dishes like the Famous Fish sandwich and Fried Popcorn Shrimp Salad are just a few highlights that showcase their commitment to quality.
If you’re looking for a seafood spot that hits all the right notes, Joe Lee’s Seafood Kitchen is the place to be! We stopped by for dinner on a recommendation from a friend. I immediately noted that there was a decent amount of cars and we arrived at the restaurant before 5 pm. On a Saturday. When we entered the restaurant, the customers looked like local families enjoying dinner and each others company. I stepped up to the counter and placed my dinner order for the shrimp platter and paid for my meal. The restaurant employee brought out our meals quickly. I found service here to be friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. The menu boasts a tempting variety of fried, blackened, boiled and grilled seafood, and I think I even spotted burgers for those who might want a change of pace. I tried one of each of the shrimp on the plate. My dinner included fried, boiled, blackened, and stuffed shrimp. It came with a side of coleslaw, corn on the cob, crispy french fries, and a warm roll. Everything was served quickly and hot, with flavors that were spot on. If you’re a seafood lover, Joe Lee’s is definitely worth a visit!

One of the best fish sandwiches in the area. The fish is fresh, crispy and always so much bigger than the bun. Get extra tartar sauce there is a lot of fish! The onion rings were well done and tasty.

Order at the counter. Food is delivered to your table. We had people coming by the table to check on us. I had the shrimp lovers platter. It came with shrimp prepared 4 different ways. It was so good. The slaw had shrimp also, so I guess shrimp prepared five ways. Everything was delicious. I wish the cocktail sauce had more horseradish, but that's a trivial thing that did not detract from the meal. I also recommend the Cajun catfish. My wife had that and loved it.

Super fresh seafood. Very reasonably priced. Our server was very attentive & the food was prepared quickly. I really enjoyed the Étouffée and combo po-boy with fried oysters & crawfish.

I haven’t been to Joe Lee’s since it was next to Landry’s on the water. As a kid we would take the boat to go eat there. Not usually a fan of walk up service. This place is amazing. Prices are right. Service was amazing. I went back to hit the tip jar for all around good food and service.

My family and I were on the prowl for some delicious seafood on the 4th, and oh boy did Joe Lee's come through! Excellent customer service. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. Everything was so flavorful and well seasoned. I highly reccomend the Fried Seafood platter, which they give you more than enough to share between two people, and the ettouffee. Finally, do not leave this place without trying the Keylime pie, you won't regret it.

My favorite sandwich shop in town. Haven't tried one thing I didn't like from here. Highly recommend their cold Italian sub and their fried fish poboy. Staff is always super friendly! Highly recommend checking out this place.

Delicious! My husband went in today to grab lunch with his coworker. It was so good that he made the time to order food for the kids and I. The food was fresh and tasted like home. My husband’s experience meeting the owners was extremely pleasant. They went above and beyond for my family and I. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Food was good. I had a burger and Duke had pastrami sandwich and fries. I ordered beer battered onion rings which were good but didn't eat them all cause they smelled fishy. I was craving onion rings so I chanced eating them (shrimp and fries are fried in same oil). The younger waitress was super cheery and nice. I loved seeing all those old lunch boxes; made for nostalgic conversation.

I got the Ruben single meat with 1000 island and ranch fries. Sandwich was perfect and the fries were hot and crisp. The waitress was amazing!! She never let my cup below half full and was quick and attentive. The ambiance is very eclectic with a western feel. Only negative is the price is a little high and the lighting is a little low.

This must have been my 10th visit to HR over the years and it never disappoints. A local landmark and must try sub place. You have to go just for the atmosphere alone the great subs are a bonus. If your close to Kemah or Cleat Lake Shores you must stop by.

So, my experience here was below average. The decor was interesting and quirky had its own charm though some people might disagree though. The food and wait staff. WoW. This place just seems like it could be great I was expecting so much more from the reviews I saw. So I ordered my food of lasagna my wife got a hoagie. We also ordered jalapeno stuffed with cream cheese. These were awful so much cream cheese there was no jalapeno hardly. Also the middle of it was still cold cream cheese and no flavor anywhere to be found. Disappointing. The hoagie was not made correctly and was pretty bland unfortunately. However the lasagna was even more disappointing. Taste was pretty ok not the best not the worst I've had. When I got to the middle it was cold. So this lasagna was probably microwaved and not made fresh that day they have lasagna as an on going special through out the week I'm pretty sure mine was at least a day or two old. They took it back and microwaved it more not a new slice like I was expecting. The wait staff just seemed all-over the place no clear direction.I had no idea who my actual waitress was one of them who I thought was the owner talked to every table but ours. This place has the pontential to be good, but as of now I cannot recommend this place in good concious. I give this a two star for ok flavor on lasagna.

One of the best subs I have ever eaten. I had the turkey sub (hot) and the Cajun roast beef sub (hot) as well! You can either have the sub hot or cold, my personal preference is hot, because it really brings out the flavor in the meat. Everytime I come here the staff is very friendly and eager to help you through the menu, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fresh home-made meal.

Restaurant
Spicy Panda Kemah is a charming spot that offers an extensive menu filled with beloved Chinese dishes, all served in a cozy and inviting atmosphere adorned with art. Upon entering, you'll be greeted by friendly staff who are attentive yet unobtrusive, ensuring your dining experience is pleasant. The meals are designed for sharing, making it perfect for families or groups of friends—each dish serves 2-4 people.
I have found my 2nd Favorite dish from here, Egg Foo Young. If you are a lover of egg dishes then this is right up your alley. Eggs perfectly cooked enclosing pork and shrimp with a gravy sauce that it perfectly balanced without overpowering the dish. It's a large serving with 3 egg patties but I inhaled then in no time.
Huy T — Google review
Their lunch menu is a standard Chinese food menu. We got General Tso’s chicken, beef and broccoli, and mixed vegetables. You can ask to add tofu (there was no extra charge). Update May 2025: the menu has been updated to include some more Asian food options like curry and pad thai. The amount of vegetarian options has increased significantly. The food is still good and the service good as well.
Raquel R — Google review
The food was absolute top notch. We will visit again!!
My W — Google review
Pretty decent food, but lacking in the vegetarian options. There’s a couple things on the menu but it’s very limited. Service left a little to be desired. Prices were also on the higher side for the amount of food you got. All that being said, the tofu had good texture, and the flavor was on point.
Steven B — Google review
Really tasty food with a wonderful waitress. Ordered the boiled fish, which was just the right amount of spicy and flavorful. Also got the basil seafood with big shrimp and calamari slices. Super good and reasonable prices.

I love this place! They did a dish with tofu for me as I'm vegetarian and it is just wonderful. I ordered the curry chicken(tofu substituted for chicken) and it has a wonderful taste. The picture doesn't do it justice as I mixed the rice in before I took the pic. All dishes always look nice when served. The other pic is my friends meal which was broccoli chicken.
Jennifer G — Google review
First off, they have a delightfully clean and cozy restaurant when you walk in. The staff are friendly, helpful, and kind. Their meals are sold family-style, with enough for 2-4 people per dish. The staff took away our empty plates and cups without being obtrusive. Our waitress was extremely polite. The meals - we each ordered an entrée and shared an appetizer. The starter was 8 pork dumplings, which came out just perfect. Not rubbery, not too soft. My entrée was the fried fish in Thai sauce. If you like fish sauce, the vinegar kind, it is AMAZINGLY good. The chopped birds eye chilis really gave a good kick. My partner's entrée was Mongolian beef. The veggies played a nice background role to that delicious beef - it had the kiss of the grill in it. Fried rice was on point and not embellished with unnecessary ingredients like corn or onion. The hot sake really made the evening since we just had a cold snap. 10/10. We'll be back many times. I love this hidden gem. Update: 5/20/25. It's been 3 years or so since my first review. This place is still my favorite Chinese food in the area. My partner got the Dry Hot Pot, my order was the Crispy Fish in Thai Sauce, and we split some Crab Rangoons. The whole order was to-go, and we LOVE their take-out boxes. They never leak, they never sweat, and they hold up well in the fridge for a few days. Thank you to the gentleman at the counter for the Dry Hot Pot recommendation. We had never eaten fried lotus before, and the beef was both sweet and savory with just a bit of heat. The next day we ate the leftovers as a stir fry. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars!
Jessica C — Google review
Im giving it 5 stars because they were one of the few restaurants open on Christmas. We waited patiently of course meanwhile the staff did their best to accommodate LARGE families, and they did. Yes there were some rude customers here and there but overall the staff were pleasant about the interactions! We normally eat at home for holidays but this time around we had unexpected things come up and truly did not have time to make it home. The dishes are definitely spicy! If you can barely handle anything hot - I would ask for mild or no spice at all. Cheese puffs and dumplings were good!

Galveston Bay Brewing is a small, family-owned brewery located on Galveston Island. Offering a variety of beers including blonde ales, goses, IPAs and stouts, the brewery also offers seasonal selections like an IPA celebrating springtime and an Oktoberfest marzen in fall. The brewery has partnered with local seafood vendor Floyd's to provide patrons with a full service menu that features items such as raw oysters and Gulf shrimp.
Killer brews! They have a great selection of offerings. I loved the Queen Anne’s Revenge, so tasty. I tried a few others (sips only…I needn’t get hammered!) The food was also very good, I had the Salmon burger which is the best I’ve had. My wife had the shrimp platter. My son had the brisket+rib burger & my daughter-in-law had steak fingers. Everything was really good. Definitely worth a stop!
Alvaro T — Google review
Came here on Memorial Day weekend and they were holding "Watermelon Fest"--unfortunate that the menu did not have everything we had been expecting; for instance, I was told beer flights, which I had wanted were not available (a few minutes later, after I had ordered a drink, I saw a group being served flights; I guess they were improvising on this day). As for food, had loaded fries, shrimp tacos, and a brew dog. Tried two different beers (Watermelon Wheat and Kemah Kolsch) and I liked them both. Food went well with the beer and was fine for me but my wife (who does not drink) was not completely satisfied by it; would like to come back when they offer their full menu for more options.
Derek G — Google review
Not the best, but not worst! We had the hot and crunchy shrimp for the appetizer, for me probably the best thing I ate. Loved the combination sweet, salty and spicy and it wasn’t overwhelming just enough spice and I’m a big baby when it comes to spicy. The fish and chips were okay, did not like the tarter sauce at all. The Great American Cheeseburger was good as well as the fries. The lemon cake martini was good. Overall, just okay.

We picked this spot for a Mother's Day dinner with a party of 17. Started with fried pickles & peppers and chips & queso for the table. To drink I had the Latitude lager and my wife went with a blood orange seltzer. I wasn't really there to eat 🍺😎 so I just had the dry rub wings and a bite of my wife's burger. The food and drinks were great, and Evelyn handled the table with ease! Our kiddos enjoyed the playground and the outdoor space. We'll definitely come back again and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a new place to try out

We visited on a Tuesday evening - early. (9/2). The building temperature was cool - that's important in Kemah in early September. The hostesses did not know if they had wine on the menu when asked - but the menu answered that question quickly - they do - among many other cocktails besides beer. There was a Singo game going on - so much fun!! We ordered the Salmon Burger (which is ground salmon) & the Pig Rib Sandwich. Both with fries. Both our sandwiches were so loaded with salt we couldn't finish them. The fries were also extraordinarily salty. It's important to note that I have rarely ever complained about the amount of salt in my meal - ever. I was able to eat only half of my salmon burger, but left it instead of boxing it up. We told the waiter about the salty food - and were offered the comp of our meal. We declined because we weren't looking for a free meal. Know that the atmosphere was fun. The drinks were good. I hope that this review reaches the people in charge of the kitchen!!

We went in and had a beer and ordered chips and queso. They had several parties going on so the chips and queso took over 30 minutes. We decided not to order food because the waitress was honest when we asked if the food would take as long as the chips. I really appreciated her honesty! Then beer was great wish I could have tried the food.
