Seafood restaurant
FINS Grill and Icehouse, situated in Port Aransas, is a charming waterfront venue that offers a diverse menu featuring burgers, seafood, beer, and margaritas. The restaurant boasts a large deck with stunning harbor views, making it an ideal spot for a memorable dining experience. Opened in 2005 by Captain Kelly and Beth Owens, the establishment prides itself on its fresh seafood offerings and family-friendly atmosphere.
We had a fantastic dining experience at FINS Grill & Icehouse in Port Aransas! Everything from the food to the service was top-notch. Our server, JT, was absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. One of the highlights was the grilled Gulf fish with veggies, which came with yellow and green zucchini, caramelized onions, and a chimichurri sauce that tied the whole dish together perfectly. The flavors were fresh and well-balanced—the chimichurri was a standout! I started with a side salad, which was fresh and flavorful, and instead of a burger (which looked delicious), I ordered the fried fish. While it was slightly on the dry side, it was still tasty. The shrimp and fries were both excellent—crispy and satisfying. We also had the onion rings, which were light, crispy, and served piping hot—absolutely loved them. Even the fried okra, which I don’t usually go for, was tasty! My wife had the seafood gumbo—rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The beers came out ice cold, and the vibe of the place was perfect for a relaxed coastal evening. JT even recommended The Deserted Island for ice cream, since FINS doesn’t have many dessert options. We took his advice and were glad we did! All in all, FINS delivered a great experience—excellent service, delicious food, and a fun, friendly atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!
Knolly W — Google review
Our food was good. We were a party of 6 with different entries. The grilled chicken was good, the crab sliders were a little too mushy, and the buffalo chicken sandwich was so big it was impossible to eat. The fish plate and tacos were good. Overall the food was okay. We had a 50 minute wait but once we were seated service was quick. We did not have a long wait for our food. Our server was very good. It was my first visit to FINS. I have had better. The parking is a problem but there is an overflow lot behind Stripes. It would be helpful if that were posted somewhere in their parking lot.

Fins is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a high-quality meal in Port Aransas. The table-side service is attentive, and the food is prepared with great care. Sure, you can find a cheaper meal elsewhere, but when you consider the cleanliness of the restaurant, the professionalism of the wait staff, and the pride they put into both the quality and the portion sizes, it’s worth every penny. Highly recommend!
Rodney C — Google review
I had such a great experience at Fins! The skinny onion rings were light, crispy, and absolutely addictive. I went with the Port A Burger, and wow—it was a knockout. Juicy and perfectly cooked, topped with fried jalapeños, bacon, cheese, and an awesome spicy sauce that tied it all together. Every bite was loaded with flavor. Our server, Jamie, was fantastic—warm, friendly, and attentive without ever feeling rushed. The whole place had a clean, relaxed, and welcoming vibe that made it easy to just enjoy the meal. Between the excellent food, perfect service, and great atmosphere, this was one of those meals you walk away from already planning your next visit. Loved it!
Curtis T — Google review
The poorboy sandwich was really good. Service was excellent. The sweet potato fries were delicious. Only thing was the breading on the fried Mahi Mahi, it was really thick. A lighter batter would have been tastier.
Margie W — Google review
We ordered our food there it was fantastic. Our waitress was amazing. Orders for taking quickly and served quickly. Order was accurate. Atmosphere was very very nice. Little too warm to sit outside on the deck.
JEWELSK — Google review
Enjoyed the location (sat outside by the marina). Friendly service. We got grilled shrimp and creole mahi-mahi (it's topped with gumbo). Both were delicious. Loved their fried calamari (not chewy/rubbery).
G B — Google review
We went for lunch; it was a little pricey, but it’s totally worth it. The fish and shrimp were super fresh, and the burgers were great. The kids loved their meals, and the atmosphere was definitely enjoyable. We are going back when we visit again; I highly recommend it!

Deep Sea Headquarters

Fishing charter
Deep Sea Headquarters in Port Aransas, located on the Gulf of Mexico, offers both group and private charters for fishing enthusiasts. The area is known for its abundant marine life, making it a perfect spot for a day of angling. After a successful fishing adventure, visitors can have their catch cooked at one of the local restaurants. Customers have praised the knowledgeable and helpful deckhands and captains who made their trips memorable experiences.
An awesome experience! We had a wonderful day, and caught a lot of fish. The deck hands were excellent and kept us rigged up and fully baited. The Captain was excellent and even came down to help with rigging when we were on the fish! Will go again every single time we come to Port A.
Misty M — Google review
Captain Kelly's Deep Sea Headquarters gave us an amazing fishing trip! My 10-year-old son and I had the best time ever. As soon as he dropped his hook in the water, he was catching fish—just like that! Captain Kelly knew exactly where to go and put the boat right on top of the snapper. You could tell he really knew what he was doing. The crew was super friendly and helpful too. If you're thinking about going deep sea fishing, don’t wait—book your trip with Captain Kelly! You won’t regret it!
McKee S — Google review
My Husband took our 7 year old son and his friend on the 8 hour trip and reported back that they had the best time!! The deck hands were awesome, everyone caught something. Snapper, sharks, King fish and more!! Everyone had an awesome time and my son can't wait to go again. Would definitely recommend 👌
Stephanie B — Google review
We had an awesome day out on the water with Captain Kevin and his crew! From the moment we left the dock, the communication was clear and professional. Captain Kevin really knew what he was doing—he consistently put us on the fish and moved us to better spots whenever things slowed down. The deckhands were phenomenal: patient, helpful, and constantly working hard to make sure everyone was taken care of. These guys really hustled and created a great experience for everyone on board. We all hit our quota of red snapper, which made the trip even more rewarding. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because we were told not to bring any snacks, yet some passengers had backpacks. When we went to buy food onboard, it had already run out, which was pretty frustrating. We left early the morning to make the 2 hour trip to board, so when we got back after the trip we were quite famished. Highly recommend this charter—just eat before you go or double-check the food policy in advance!
Bill S — Google review
This was our 3rd charter with Deep Sea Headquarters. This time we took the 24 hour charter out. Was a little dissappointed because Texas closed the Amber Jack Tuna season that morning so we weren't able to target those fish. But that didnt matter we came back to shore with ALOT of fish! Multiple varieties of Snapper, we caught Red Snapper too but had to throw them back since they were out of season. Everybody came back with 3 King fish each. Other people caught Mahi, Sharks, and lots other fish. Deck hands and Captain were so attentive and kind. It was a great experience and we will definitely be back.
K L — Google review
Went out on the 12 October 8 hour trip. Really good time overall and very reasonably priced. Weren’t sure what we were going to be targeting but Capt let us know pretty early we’d be targeting vermillions about 35 miles off shore. Ended up being about 2.5 hours out, 2.5-3 hours of fishing, and 2.5 hours back. Seas were about as good as you could ask for, some good sized rollers but spaced apart so not not bad at all. Boat was pretty packed, I think 47 on board but really didn’t feel crowded at all, couple of tangles but it wasn’t bad. We limited out on the vermillions pretty fast. Deck hands were quick to rig everyone up for the bigger fish after we filled our coolers. Aside from the vermillions caught some big red snappers (had to throw them back unfortunately since it was off season but they were pigs), lane snappers, dog snappers, blue runners and a couple of good sized sharks. The two deckhands were excellent, very enthusiastic and friendly despite being extremely busy. We aren’t afraid to get our hands dirty so unhooked our own fish whenever we could since they were running around but they would get to you eventually if you are uncomfortable with that. Can’t bring any food or drink on board but they had plenty for purchase, it’s not clearly displayed so don’t be afraid to ask them, they’ll grab it for you quickly. There is a bathroom on board, it’s not glorious but it will do the trick in a pinch. Plenty of bait was doled out to all of us and they cut new bait when targeting the larger fish later on. Make sure you’ve got sunscreen and a hat, and if you’ve got a sensitive butt bring a pad with you because sitting on the side can be uncomfortable after a few hours. They will clean your fish for you afterwards for a very reasonable price, it does take a bit though after a good trip so be patient. Overall a really good time for the three of us, would 100% go with them again. Limited out, great crew and other guests, I’ve got zero complaints
Adam R — Google review
Started chartering with them when Captain Kelly was on the Pelican 20 plus years ago and have been on all the fleet . We chartered the new King Fisher for a 12 hour trip with captain Jake , and deck hands Loyd and Cameron . There was 12 of us on board and we all had an incredible time. The crew was amazing and catered to everyone!!! I can’t thank the crew and staff enough!! We will be back and will be requesting the same crew!!
Quality B — Google review
It's an adequate experience at best. There were hardly any fish, even trying two different spots. I don't blame anyone for that, that's just how fishing is. But.... 1. DO NOT GET the starboard side of the boat in the afternoon. We were in the sun most of the time while the port side got shade almost the whole time. 2. No hand sanitizer or soap onboard. You're handling squid and fish heads, but the only remedy is a one sink bathroom back in the shop...which everyone (40 of us onboard) rushed to right after. 3. The crew seemed pretty surly. Maybe just a bad day? It seemed like more of a chore for them, like the job was annoying them. 4. No one checked to see if you had a fishing license or even took our boarding ticket. We just went with the group and wandered onto the boat together. 5. Went out into the bay for 39 minutes, then moved to another spot 12 minutes back, then another 30 minutes to get back to port. That's a big chunk of time for a 3.5 hour excursion. I know they have to get away from the ferry and the shipping lane, but we were practically halfway to Corpus.

Red Dragon Pirate Cruises

Cruise agency
Embark on an adventure with Red Dragon Pirate Cruises, where you'll set sail on a 70-foot replica pirate ship equipped with 10 digital cannons. While the vessel mirrors historic pirate boats, it also offers modern conveniences like a full-service bar and restrooms. As you cruise through Aransas Bay, be entertained by live performances featuring sword fights, dancing, and thrilling naval battle reenactments.
This was a cute little boat ride. Fun for the kids, although a bit of a squeeze considering there were quite a lot of other guests on board. It’s very fun and interactive for the kiddos, from sword fights and treasure hunts, to catching a few dolphins from the window. The crew was hospitable, and definitely get the kiddos excited and involved. The ship offers drinks, snacks, and souvenir purchases while on board, as well as offer an opportunity to tip the crew at the end. My little one had fun, and that made it worth the while as we had never been out on a boat before.

We went on the Thursday night adults only sunset cruise and had a great time! It fulfilled a childhood dream of mine to set sails on the red dragon! Super fun, the crew was entertaining and the drink prices were super affordable! We also got to see dolphins near the end! Definitely will be back again next time we visit the beach!
Gabriella A — Google review
We had a blast on this pirate ride, you as an adult have to relax and have fun too. The crew made jokes, did fun activities, and even had some interactive "surprises". Our evening cruise also ended up being a beautiful sunset cruise with many dolphins sightings. Our kids loved it. They had snacks and an adult beverage area, and the ride was very smooth sailing. They had an 18&over seating area too if desired. Overall great job, I know entertainment can be rough sometimes.

My family and I had the best time on the morning cruise and my daughter loves it so much we did the evening cruise the same day. I couldn't get her off the boat!! The "show" was so amazing and you could tell they loved what they did. The kids had a blast and it's fun for all ages!! The bartender Echo, was phenomenal!! The drinks were fantastic! They definitely have found lifetime pirates with us!! Will definitely be making this a must do every time we come down!!

The "Crew" were absolutely awesome. Very family friendly attraction, especially for the younger children. Even my teenager had a great time. They were very interactive with the kids, plus the bonus of seeing the dolphins and a gorgeous sunset. Would highly recommend giving the Red Dragon Pirate Cruise a try.

Went on the 6:30 trip on 4 June 2025. The actors were amazing with ALL of the kiddos. My daughter was a little scared/nervous and the main character “poison” gave her a stuffed parrot to cheer her up. From then on she was excited and participated in all other activities. I highly recommend going on this adventure If you have kids ages 4-12 years old.

was before Halloween - Boos Cruise (~1½ hrs). Most minors & many adults in costume. Pirates (crew/staff) were excellent & safety-conscious: friendly, funny, kids entertained whole trip. Available cocktails were decent.

Additionally, the Patsy Jones Amphitheater presents live music concerts and regional festival performances. With an observation tower overlooking the Corpus Christi Ship Channel, visitors can enjoy watching dolphins as they interact with passing cargo ships.
Really cool park!!! So many things to look at and play on. My husband pointed out the lighthouse slide, so cool!!! There’s slides, a giant turtle to stand on, a zip line, swing especially for babies and children, picnic tables (with shade), and the coolest of all the lighthouse slide. Most of the playground has the soft surface for kids. And sprayer stations to keep you cool
Amelia A — Google review
Bathrooms were Very clean, 3 stalls in the women’s… 2 locations right in the park. Well lit, beautiful white mosaic sequence floor and walls. Really thoughtfully designed space. It’s inviting and not creepy like most of the beach bathrooms in town. There are filtered water hydration stations at the front of each bathroom where we filled up our kettles to boil water for our cup ramen which was perfect as there are tables and covered areas aplenty here. Tons of parking. Just a great little place to hang out. Wish our kids were young again, as the playground looked awesome and super clean. They’ve spent a ton of money on this park. There are boats docked around, you can see the ferry and pirate cruises go by. It’s just a perfect place for a respite

Our 1st time visiting... we drove a distance but was worth it. The park is incredible. My kids and I enjoyed it. The free dolphin watch experience though was our favorite. This is definitely a must visit place for locals and tourists. An experience for the entire family. Did I mention its free!!!?

Great park! So much fun for the kids. They have a cooking mist that helps with the heat. Great place to dolphin watch, there were so many out there. Amazing!

Great location to view the dolphins playing in the wake from the ferry and the ships that pass. Sometimes they come up to the sea wall and the fishing pier! Plenty of parking marina access, fish cleaning station, bathrooms, play ground updated in 2025, grassy area to run and play ( throw foot ball , kick around a soccer ball) it’s FREE!!! No charge to park , or play , no charges to fish - you do need a license to fish the pass waters.
Shae F — Google review
Quiet area to watch boats and marine life. Pier for fishing and benches to sit in the shade. Rocks big enough to walk and sit on if you wanted to sit closer to the water. Playground for the kids.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wow, what an unexpected gem at Robert’s Point Park! We were sent here by the lovely folks at the front desk of our White Cap hotel, and let me tell you, this place blew us away! Who knew you could spot wild dolphins swimming right in front of you at a Texas port? It was like they were putting on a show just for us—flipping and splashing so close we could almost high-five them! 🐬 And that’s not all—we also saw tons of sea turtles gliding through the water. The best part? No need to shell out big bucks to see dolphins trapped in a pool. This is nature at its finest, and we’re still buzzing from the experience! Highly recommend this spot for any nature-loving traveler looking for a delightful surprise. 🌊✨

Well worth the price! Definitely go for the last time of the day! Beautiful sunset! Awesome people at this businessthey were very considerate of my family we had a great time all three of us got to parasail together at the very last minute even though a thunderstorm formed miles away heading our way and then they patiently watched it and made sure it was safe for us to go after the storm broke up! We couldn't have asked for more better service which we were fine with not sailing if they didn't think it was a great idea whatever the case they looked out for us and we greatly appreciate them.
Martin C — Google review
Mike and his staff are amazing. I just turned 50 and this was something I wanted to do but my fear of heights stopped me. I am so glad I decided this year to just go for it. My husband went along with me on Friday. The crew was great at explaining everything. I felt very safe. I was also really impressed by how smooth the lift off from the boat and landing back down. The crew seems to have perfected this. I like that they asked if you wanted to dip your toes in the water. When returning to harbor they slowed down and allowed us to watch a pod of dolphins for a few minutes. It was a nice bonus. I loved it so much that on Saturday I went again and took my 10y old daughter this time. It's her birthday soon and she really wanted to dip her toes in. Mike did a great job letting us graze the water. I honestly didn't want to come back down. And everyone was so friendly and shared their knowledge about the area, including some history on San Jose Island. Be sure to pack a small bag or mini cooler with something to drink (no alcohol lol), sunscreen, and a water proof case with a lanyard for your phone.

This place was amazing!! The food was fresh and delicious! I cannot express how good this was... hush puppies ( Best ever!)... Fried Fish ( Amazing!) Fried Shrimp ( Absolutely delicious!)... the restaurant itself is pretty quaint and simple, has a fish market area when you come in, mom and pop, laid back atmosphere, very casual... the food was pretty damn Awesome!!

To start, the staff was friendly, we were served outside and the food arrived quickly. Now the food wasn't bad, as a matter of fact I enjoyed my shrimp and the fish tacos were okay. Unfortunately, that was the issue. It was just...okay. There were bones in the fish and the breading on the shrimp was a little too thick. The fries and the onion rings were good though.
Marco I — Google review
If you feel like eating a good plate of fried fish for a reasonable price then don’t go to this place. It’s a complete tourist trap. They plate I order was a fish and shrimp combo, it comes with fries and slaw. I’m not a huge fan of slaw so for an extra 1.99 I substituted for corn nuggets thinking it sounded good. Then I paid another extra 1.99 for onion rings instead of fries. Both mistakes but not far apparently from the original plate setting that my kid got. The sad appearance of my dinner is what really brought it down to one star. The only reason they got an extra star was because of how nice our server was although completely ignorant to the quality of food she was serving. Paid almost 25 bucks for my meal including tea. I will not eat here again.

Update: May 2018: Rebuilding almost complete after Hurricane. It's looking great. They offered a limited menu such as boiled shrimp, pie, and some other options. They even gave our doggie some water while we sat outside to have our lunch. Gumbo and pie were delicious. Bless you. We'll return again. 2017: Fresh flounder and shrimp!! Yum. Enjoyed food and service. Thank you. PS: they have a fish market gift shop too.

Disregard all the one and two ratings. This place is fantastic. If you're looking for real fresh fish tacos, shrimp cocktails ,snapper ,snow crab ,stone crab ,king crab ,and awesome homemade key lime pie. This is the place. The girls are fantastic and phenomenal. They have a store inside that you can purchase all kinds of things. And as you can see in the picture they have very relaxing and laid-back atmosphere.

Waited almost 5 minutes to be seated in an absolutely empty dining room. No sweet tea. 6 shrimp for coconut shrimp is average, just a touch overdone, which for shrimp is high praise. Great crispy fries and malt vinegar on the table makes me happy. Felt rushed at the the end. No one explained that we wouldn't get a bill and you walk to the register to pay and leave, which makes it hard to leave your server a tip. Would do again when craving seafood and too lazy to cook it myself.

This place sold me shrimp and “mahi mahi” and they were both garbage. The shrimp were obviously old frozen shrimp and I have no idea what kind of fish I was given. The fish looked right in the display but it was absolute garbage when I got it home. Do not go here. Worst fish market I’ve ever had the displeasure of giving my business to.

The establishment's inviting ambiance captures the essence of coastal dining, making it a standout choice among Port Aransas' vibrant culinary scene.
My family has been coming here for years. Love the view of the harbor. Plenty of seating, al fresco if you can take the humidity and heat. My dad and I show up about 4:45 p.m. We're that old. We beat the rush and enjoy quiet conversation as well as some of the island's best crab cakes. No oysters this time (September 2025) so I had a couple jumbo shrimp a la carte and a huge baked potato. Dad had Mahi Mahi, meaty and citrus imbued, yum, and creamed corn, a side dish I highly recommend. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the seafood plates. I've never experienced anything less than stellar service—friendly but not chatty or overbearing. Prices are comparable to all the other dine-ins around, with an entree and a cocktail you're looking at some forty to fifty dollars per person. There also is a tempting dessert menu. I did not indulge, but they looked amazing. For its tasty cuisine and its location on the water (where you might even spot a dolphin or two), and for its warm, expeditious staff, Trout Street continues to hold a place in my heart and belly.

We had lunch at the Trout Street Bar & Grill. I ordered off the lunch menu. I had the Fish Tacos and select the local caught fish, no idea what it was. Tasted like low end fish sticks. I think maybe the taco was microwaved. While it was warm it was dry and hard. I honestly think a McDonald's fish sandwich would have been better. My wife said her food was pretty good. She had Gumbo & a small salad. So good luck Oh, the service was excellent.

Came here with my wife on a long weekend. I ordered an old fashioned; she ordered a blueberry house special drink. The old fashioned arrived and it was the smallest old fashioned I’ve ever seen. Her drink was really good. We had the crab cake as an appetizer, it didn’t have much crab flavor to it. The entrees were excellent - I had the shrimp sampler and all four types of shrimp were delicious. Wife enjoyed her fish entree as well. Dessert was an off-menu peach cobbler. They warned us that they had no ice cream to top it, which is odd since there’s a grocery store just down the road, but okay - let’s try the cobbler. It was uninspired - some peach, some crust, but no real cinnamon/sugar flavor. Was excited for the reservation, but disappointed in the results for the price paid.

Atmosphere was wonderful, we love Port A & the water! Had several servers checking on us, thought that was nice until guests who came in wayyy after us got their appetizers before us, guess thats the illusion! Might have better service is servers stuck to one table at a time. Hardly seen our server. Called it to a servers attention then got ours super hot, with no warning that they obviously forgot about us then rushed it righttt out. Crab cake was super good! After over an hr finally got our food, after we told them just make it to go. Drinks had a peanuty taste?? Also was nice that margaritas weren't with sweet and sour but not sure how they were the best around, in a basic glass for $10. Definitely dont recommend them unless you are rich with plenty of time to waste & weird tastebuds. Got the blackened redfish, was charged extra for blackened when it was an option for how u wanted your fish? Taste raw and burnt at the same time, definitely nothing special for the price or portion. Side said veggies, got rice and gumbo that wasnt even the best or even close. Kids chicken strips, 2 orders, came with 2 strips in one, 3 in the other, fries were not good at all, not even sure how u mess up homemade fries? We love to tip good, as we are locals and understand tourist work, definitely didnt get to do that here. Do not recommend when you are hungry and just trying to have a nice dinner.

For the price, food was okay. BEWARE: they charge a credit card fee and a “mixed drink” fee. We did not find out until the final bill that you get charged for these items ($6 for a $150 meal and $3.46 for a $12 mixed drink). Would have liked to know about the credit card fee ahead of time and wished they had just charged more for the cocktail instead of nickle and dining us. We compared receipts from other restaurants and did not get charged for these items anywhere else.

What started out as a very pleasant dinner with a wonderful server by the name of Devin changed at the end of the mea,, but kitchen messed up our meal. Burger was ordered to be cooked medium but was served well done. We requested bacon which was an add on charge but it wasn't added on to the burger. Didn't realize until we got the charge. Then a slice of cheese was supposed to be free with the way it was presented on the menu, but we were charged. We didn't realize until after bill was paid. Spoke with manager by front door about extra charges and she took a tone that was not pleasant for a manager to take. My sister started to explain and I said let's just go, we aren't getting anywhere. I have been here before and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere but this manager has put me on pause on going back again.

Upon arrival, my wife and I were warmly greeted by the hostess (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name), who seated us outside, per our request, at a table optimal for watching the sunset. We appreciated her smile and genuine interest in making sure we had a great experience. Our server, Jeffrey K., was the best. He was patient, kind, funny, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Trout Street is lucky to have him as a server. We ordered drinks, the fries appetizer, and split the Gulf shrimp sampler. We had a wonderful evening, and while the food was excellent, it was the kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff that made the night truly special.

This was our favorite spot in North Padre! Fresh, beautiful entrees and sides like the fish and shrimp po boys, and amazing clam chowder. Sweetly staff all around and just a really clean and comfortable place (especially compared to some of the other spots we had the great misfortune of eating at - ahem, DOCS 🙄). Love this place!!!!!!

Fast food restaurant
Ice cream shop
Dairy Queen is a classic fast-food chain known for its soft-serve ice cream, signature shakes, burgers, and fries. Despite being a bit understaffed at times, the staff works hard to handle the busy evenings and provide good quality food. Customers have praised the friendly and welcoming service they received from employees like Brittany and Jennifer. The restaurant may appear a little run down in some locations but still offers great food and cleanliness.
Very clean and good food. David took our order very friendly. All the staff seemed to be working hard. We got our food within 5 minutes and it was soooo good. I recommend nachos and a blizzard so good and the price even better.

This is a staple of fast food in Texas. They didn't disappoint. The food was hot, the service was good, and we left satisfied. Granted, it's not fine dining or sofisticated cuisine but it hit the spot. We left satisfied.

My three friends and I enjoyed a variety of medium sized malts and milk shakes. We ordered easily at the counter inside the newish building with a drive by window and bathrooms. They promptly delivered our order to our umbrela covered table in the well maintained outdoor dinning area adjoining an ample well paved spacious parking lot with a pleasant view. The over cast day and the prevailing trade winds eased the frozen drinks travel by straws...

4pm on a Saturday. There are only 2 other groups of people eating inside. No one at the drive through. I get it, it's slow. There must have been some good gossip going on in back as I had to go looking for someone to take my order. For $15/hr you can work here. Apparently they don't ask for too much.

Day 2

Center of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the center side of town. Start the day off with I. B. Magee Beach Park, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Venetian Hot Plate. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Park
I. B. Magee Beach Park is a charming coastal camping destination located on the stunning Mustang Island in Port Aransas, Texas. Spanning 167 acres, this park features 75 campsites equipped with water and electric hookups, making it an ideal spot for RV enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy convenient amenities such as clean restroom facilities, coin-operated showers, and picnic tables perfect for family gatherings or quiet meals by the beach.
Unfortunately, the weather was a bit chilly and the fog rolled in on this day. But, the beach was clean, the food is great in this area and it was the perfect little family getaway. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a nice getaway. Also, it was peak Spring Break and there weren't that many drunk college kids, that's always a plus.

This is a great place for surfing, swimming, beachcombing, and sunrise watching. You can also fish from the surf or from the pier. Nice place for kids to play. Please watch for the weather conditions and the flags on the entrances to the beach. Rip tide can be very strong and dangerous.

The Dunes Condominiums are one of my favorite places to stay. I've been staying here the past few years and I've never had a single problem. Everyone is always so accommodating. My son left his stuffed animal there and everyone went out of their way to recover it for him. I will continue to stay at our home away from home with the best view!

The social climate can feel unwelcoming. Displays of racism and homophobia are common in the whole city; with Confederate and Trump flags frequently visible. Those promoting such views seem protected. The beach is not very clean and people leave their trash every where

I love this beach. Is a great place to relax and take in the sun. I love that you can drive your car all the way to the beach and park. The water is always so warm and the beach is fairly shallow. Not a whole lot of people when it's not a holiday. Unfortunately, that was not the case for labor day weekend. But, still overall a great place to chill. I recommend taking some chairs and beach umbrellas as well as a cooler with cold drinks.

Outdoor Activities
Port Aransas Beach, located on Mustang Island and affectionately known as "Port A," is a 6-mile stretch of sandy coastline that offers a variety of activities for locals and visitors alike. This beloved family beach town has made a remarkable recovery from Hurricane Harvey in 2017, making it an inviting destination for surfing, swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking at sunset.
Good place for Families, you need to buy parking permit which are available on the gas stations available on the access road 1A. If you want to park for free the search for Dunes Condominium where you will get free parking , but on weekends it’s difficult, no deep water so good for kids (attention always required) good for new swimmers, life guards available till 6pm you can drive on the beach

Had a great time at the beach! Even though there were a lot of people, it was still very nice and clean. I really liked that they had showers to rinse off the sand before getting back in the car, and the free parking was definitely a plus. Overall, a really enjoyable spot to spend the day.

Water is unclean though I live in North Texas, this place feels like another country one where people seem indifferent to the wider world. Trump flags, confederate flags fly everywhere, and the social climate can feel unwelcoming, with Confederate symbols and open displays of racism not uncommon. Almost no diversity. Go to Padre Island or anywhere else in the USA to fish etc. Even the fish stay away from here. By the way food is over priced etc.

Italian restaurant
Restaurant
Venetian Hot Plate is a charming Italian restaurant and bar in Port Aransas, run by an Italian couple. The place offers a low-key dining room and an inviting outdoor patio where guests can enjoy traditional Italian dishes alongside steaks, veal, seafood, and more. The menu features authentic pasta dishes like veal scaloppini, duck specialties, penne with Bolognese sauce, and creative seafood pasta combinations.
We had dinner here during a recent trip to Port A. I'm not going to lie but I was very hesitatant to go because I'm a picky eater. I am so glad that I did!!! We can't stop talking about it. We made reservations because we were told that they book fast. When we arrived there were many empty tables but they were all full by the time we left. Our table of six ordered three appetizers to share, an entree each and five desserts. We sampled each other's dishes and every plate with every course was left clean. We had Paul as our server and Ana as his assistant. They were both excellent! They didn't rush us, answered all of our questions and gave us the right amount of attention. We enjoyed the food, the service and will definitely return when in the area. We have already started recommending Venetian to our friends!!!

This place requires a reservation. We didn’t know. However, we lucked out because a table for two in the bar canceled so we got squeezed in. The food is exceptional. The owners know everyone in town, from what I saw. It is a good vibe, great food, and a very active social place. I loved the duck. It was cooked to perfection with an impeccable texture. The honey and Dijon glacé was brilliant. He loved his seafood spaghetti. The garlic bread was delicious.

We discovered this great little restaurant in Port Aransas, while exploring the area. At the recommendation of our very helpful waitress, I decided to go with their signature lasagna dish, an excellent choice. Others in our group chose the ribeye steak, shellfish pasta, both were also excellent choices. Our group also enjoyed a very good bottle of wine. After dinner, we ordered creme brulee, rich and delicious flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a nice dining experience.

We love to eat here whenever we visit Port Aransas. It’s small but cozy. Reservations are highly encouraged. The food is fresh and delicious and the service is fabulous. There is even a sign on the door saying noisy children will not be tolerated. Unfortunately I do not think the sign is enforced as there was a loud child screeching constantly while we were there. Since the room is so small it does echo a bit so it made it difficult to converse. Other than that, we always enjoy visiting. I love the pasta and the creme brûlée is superb.

The most amazing bread and oil/balsamic I’ve ever had! Even better than what I tried in Italy. Very friendly servers, but very understaffed. Need reservations to get in as it’s very popular. Due to understaffing our dining experience took over 2 hours but they gave us a free dessert which we appreciated. Delicious food, pork chop was cooked to perfection and the spinach and potatoes were also perfectly seasoned.

By far the best restaurant in Port Aransas, the food is phenomenal! I go every year when I’m down visiting and try something new every time, and happy with everything I’ve had. There used to be a male bartender, he provided the best service and he was also entertaining. I believe the owner is a female and she is on top of her game. Just make sure to call ahead for reservations, I almost didn’t get to go this year they were almost all booked.

As good or better Italian fare as you will find along the Coastal Bend. Venetian has a cozy interior and an excellent staff. From the server's assistant to the owner, their knowledge of the menu and attention to creating a great dining experience comes through. They serve top notch traditional Italian cuisine as well as a popular pasta seafood dish, lamb chops, duck and much more. Along with regular menu they offer some additional 'featured' items. Pictured is lasagna, side salad w/ house dressing. Also recommended: Pescatora, Lamb Chop, and I'm sure more after another visit. Dinner hours only.

Restaurant
La Playa Mexican Grille is a cozy and relaxed Mexican restaurant located near Corpus Christi Bay. It offers a fish-focused menu, margaritas, beer, and table-made guacamole. The restaurant is known for its fresh and flavorful grilled fish dishes, as well as seasonal crawfish enchiladas topped with a rich sauce and lump crab.
Best Mexican food restaurant on the island! But you gotta WAIT to get in! It’s worth the wait! You get some great attitude from the hostess. Lol You either deal with it or go someplace else. Get there at 3:45 pm to write your name on the list. Then comeback at 4:45 to get called in. If you miss your call, you will get crossed out. Once you’re inside the waiters are nice and the hostess is a sweet lady! We ordered the beef enchiladas, crab enchiladas, kids meal chicken fajitas, and kids meal beef fajitas. Man, ALL of it was good! Kids meal was like an adult meal! Wish I had taken pictures of theirs. I highly recommend coming here! I look forward to my next visit next summer!

Food was served warm with barely any seasoning on it. Definitely was not worth the price. Mike is a good waiter that was the best part of eating there. I would normally give a place like this two stars because of the sorry food and high price. Definitely not worth a 30 minute wait. I've had better fish tacos at Long John silver's.

We were down to Port A for a week. We love the food at La Playa so much, we ate there Tuesday AND Thursday! My absolute favorite is Crab Enchiladas. Ate them both nights. Our Thursday server, Sally was exceptional! The Margarita went down just right. When we visit, La Playa is dinner at least once. The arrive an hour early to put your name on the seating list and returning before 5 is well worth it, as is cash only. When we first started eating there, you could get on the list about 15 mins early. Too many know about this gem!
Lori M — Google review
Love everything about La Playa. This came as a recommendation and we love a good fajita plate with a house marg. Wednesday night at 6pm had AN HOUR wait so just beware— the wait was worth it. They are very high tech and have a list of names and will yell your name out the door when your table is ready:) we drove around the island on golf cart for an hour and came back to being third in line. Great business model honestly, they know what they’re doing. When seated there were waters, chips and salsa waiting for us. $9 for a 20oz margarita (mind blown) and less than $40 for a trio fajitas plate for 2!? In what world!?? Anywho, go here!!
Shelby R — Google review
La Playa does not open until 5 pm and they do not take reservations. It’s very casual cantina style restaurant but you’ll see some people dressed in nice shorts and button down shirts. At 3:45 pm they put a clipboard on the door where you write your name and then leave or walk across the street and kill an hour at the souvenir shop. But you have to be back a little before 4:45pm and wait for your name to be called and seated. The food is good. I had the crabmeat enchiladas ($17.99) and the wife had the shrimp stuffed enchiladas de Camerones ($16.50). Both dishes were good. Our tab for two with one margarita and two Mexican beers was about $76.00 before tip.
Richard — Google review
We've been going here for 5 years and my husband's first wish on the island is to hit La Playa! Margaritas are top notch, lil pricey but comes with a kick! The pablano wrapped in fajita is my favorite! Only drawback is it's super small. They put a clipboard on the door at 4pm. When they open at 5 they do down the list until the restaurants full. After that it's an hour or more wait. Oh and cash only! ATM on site though.
Susan D — Google review
We've been loyal customers of La Playa for over 20 years, but our recent visit was deeply disappointing and has us questioning whether we’ll return. While the food remains flavorful and high-quality, we noticed a significant increase in prices paired with dramatically smaller portion sizes. On top of that, several menu items were already unavailable during the opening hour—on a busy weekend. We also feel that space was overwhelmed by large parties. For a restaurant of this size, it might help to limit party sizes to six or fewer to maintain a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests. We truly hope La Playa can return to the standards that earned our loyalty in the first place.
Deb M — Google review

Our server was Cecilia and she was absolutely amazing! My best friend and I were celebrating her birthday and myself into nursing school. There wasn’t a wait, our party of 5 was seated outside right away. Our waitress was kind, but looked frazzled. She took our drink and appetizer order. We weren’t ready to order our main dish at that time, and she didn’t come back to take our order for about 20 minutes. My husband ordered a margarita on the rocks, and when he got the drink he found a hair in it. He went up to the bar to tell her and she just took the drink & dumped it out, then made him a new one. No apology for that. We got our food, and again, my husband found a hair on his French fries. That ruined our dining experience, the rest of the food wasn’t terrible but we were now on the lookout for any more hair. As for atmosphere, the music kept cutting in and out and the fans weren’t blowing much air around.

The food was great. We had the gumbo and the strawberry salad. Gumbo is hard to make with that perfect roux. They aced it. Perfect amount of spice and on point. Salad wash fresh with a homeade dressing that made it crisp and clean. Service was great. Prices were fair. Plenty of parking and bike friendly.

This place came highly recommended but I personally would not eat here again. The crab boil was 100%, the tuna was okay. The atmosphere didnt really have one. Just a crowded restaurant and busy. Business needs more staff. The ones there were busting it, but they need more hands to help! Food was delicious!!

Went to this bar and grill and had an awesome experience. We were seated right away, the service was quick, and the wings were huge and packed with flavor. Definitely a spot I’d come back to when I’m craving good food and chill vibes.

The wife and I had Dinner at Stingrays on Friday evening. The atmosphere is very casual. Maybe 10 tables, plenty of bar seating, pool tables in separate area, about a dozen tv’s for sports. Very beachy atmosphere. Good selection of craft beers, and good choices on the menu. Pizzas looked good but we ordered the Cabo Tacos ($14.99) for the wife, I got the Chicken Bites ($10.99), and the Spinach Artichoke Dip ($10.99). The Cabo Tacos, 3 to an order, were very good. So were the Chicken Bites (I chose habanero mango sauce) and they were very good but the order was kinda small. I also had one of the wife’s Cabo Tacos and we shared the Spinach Dip. As a bonus Land Sharks are $2 on draft and Blue Moons are $6.50. All in all a good spot to hang out, eat, watch some sports and let the kids shoot some pool. We will be back. Oh and our server Stephanie is the best!

We got the trio app: fried jalapeño, fried mushrooms, cheese curds. They all were really good. Then we ordered the chicken and bacon ranch pizza. It was 😋 but would have liked the crust a little crisper. Over all the food was great. The staff was alittle cold at first but took good care of us. Played pool at the end which is free just leave a DL for the balls.

Found this place randomly and decided to stop in (mostly convinced by the car on the bar image) and very happy we did. Down visiting for a weekend getaway with our 10 year old pups and boy did we get the warmest welcome ever! Family run place with good food, amazing Pina Coladas, kitchen staff that spoiled my dogs, and addictive buffalo shrimp for the husband. Go off the main strip. Eat here. Pardon the pictures. It smelled to good to wait to take a good one before taking a picture 🤣 (And enjoy the bathroom murals - my husband and I each had to take pictures to show each other. They really are very pretty)

Great place to hang out. The only sports bar on the island. The staff is perfect and inviting. I wish they had a gluten-free option 😞. However, the do have corn tacos. The food is really good. The pork tacos are awesome. The chicken tacos, not so much. The pizza is perfect. I'd definitely make it point to stop here when you visit.

It’s not often you find a coffee place that has a whole “nutty” section on their flavors menu. The service was friendly and fast, and my iced macadamia nut toasted marshmallow iced latte was so good! Will def be back next time I’m in town
Sara S — Google review
Coffee Waves is a nice spot for a relaxed coffee break. The coffee was solid, and the mocha stood out — smooth, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. I also tried both the marbled and pumpkin cake, and they were moist and flavorful without being too heavy. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, making it an easy place to sit for a while and enjoy good coffee and dessert.
Charles R — Google review
This place was highly recommended and very popular. Really long line but it went by pretty fast. My latte was not good, but blaming that on the non fat milk? My bf got an iced Carmel macchiato that was much better! Lots of options to pick from
Callie W — Google review
Very popular spot, always busy. The coffee was good. We had a coffee and a matcha. The matcha was already sweetened, which I didn’t expect. They didn’t ask, and it would be helpful if they mentioned that ahead of time. It felt like one of those pre-sweetened mixes, which usually means the matcha itself isn’t the best quality. Prices are a bit higher compared to the mainland, but that’s pretty normal around here. Overall, a decent place. The muffin we had was actually really good
Elena L — Google review
Nice little coffee shop and gelato shop on the island. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. I stopped by for lunch and ordered the pepper house Beef and ice americano. Really good sandwich. Warm and spicy. Too me is perfect. Americano was great as well. Gelato bar was nice as well. Definitely will come back again when we are on the island.

Smells great as you enter. All the different coffees but disappointed their breakfast croissants are premade. This is not a croissant bread but a toasted white bread. Frozen Sausage and egg. Should have just went to McDonald’s. I like their McGriddles better.
J — Google review
Wow was this place a disappointment. I asked to get my egg and cheese on a bagel rather than a croissant which was not possible. I don’t understand why it wasn’t but that was fine. We waited 25 minutes for our food to come out and the bagel pictured is what I received. It was hardly toasted and almost soggy feeling. And I had to put the cream cheese on myself so no idea why it took so long since my boyfriend only got the tomato basil which also had no meat… While we waited we saw the girl making food grab a spoonful of the gelato and eat it with the spoon hanging out of her mouth while she cooked food, her front hair pieces out and no gloves. Just overall not a great experience.

Winton's Island Candies has been a popular destination for both locals and tourists in Port A since 1995. This exceptional, family-run confectionary specializes in homemade caramels and fudge, offering a diverse selection of delectable treats like salt water taffy, candy corn, gummies, sours, licorice, truffles, and more.
Very cute & expensive place 😅 Don’t know how we did it, but between the fudge & candy we totaled >$100 between my 3 kids and myself. Only takes cash; but they have a convenient ATM.
D L — Google review
Iconic Port A candy store. This place is amazing. So many options that it take a while to decide. It’s been a part of our family tradition for almost 20 years. It’s cash only but there is a ATM on property. It’s not a cheap place but it’s worth the price. Especially in Port A. Try the Caramel goodness behind the glass.
Don G — Google review
One of the best candy stores I've been in my entire life!! Literally, there is nothing here that's not worth devouring! From their homemade fudge and caramel and local made salsa, to the unique saltwater taffy flavors and huge varieties of gummies and individually wrapped candies. There is something for everyone here. This is an absolute MUST goto for anyone visiting the island!
Irish D — Google review
We call it the crack house because their pecan caramel is incredibly addictive!! So good! But they have a ton of great candy, made on site fudge and truffles. We stop there every tome we're in town
Teri M — Google review
Two stars for the wide selection of vintage candy. Missing the third star because told at check out that it’s cash only. That’s fine, but let us know on the way in. Signage on the door (or anywhere) would be helpful. Two younger women at counter were surprisingly rude. Missing the 4th star because of the “ugly” service vibe. I bought a variety of truffles - two of each they had on hand. Missing the fifth star because everything tasted like Fabulousa cleaner. The shop itself felt “dusty”. What I sampled was overpriced and subpar. Very disappointing experience over all.
DeAnn C — Google review
One of my top 3 favorite places in Port A. A must for candy lovers. Excellent customer service and the candy is delicious and fresh. My kids and I LOVE it!! Best fudge on earth and the gummies are always so soft and fresh. Prices are the best here as well. There is another candy store that popped up recently and I do NOT recommend them. Their prices are outrageous and the customer service is majorly lacking. Go to Wintons!! Support local!!!
Laura L — Google review
Lots of great candy! The fudge is delicious. The caramel looks delicious too. A bit pricey but everything is now days. My friend goes there for the maple fudge which we only find it in the off season.

Good selection, but expensive. Some of the girls in my group got over $100 worth of candy. I got some sour gummy candy it was almost $20. Crazy

Such a fun family adventure. Staff is amazing and I highly recommend the knowledgeable staff on board this fishing charter. We were a Large group of 15 Plus the other families on the ship. We felt taken care of 100% of the time. Everybody went above and beyond to make our experience perfect. The young lady inside also helped with keeping my family comfortable and providing snacks and drinks when ordered by my group. Thank y'all again!

Went for a 9 hour deep sea tour. It was the best time of my life. I highly recommend. I ended up catching my limit and some of my families too. I didn't catch anything too big but some other people on the boat did. It was a blast.

Had a great time on our 6 hour deep sea trip! The check in was easy. They left and got back on time. Crew was super friendly and helpful. Would def go back and possibly even do the 9 hour next time.
LONI J — Google review
We did a 6 hour, afternoon trip, went out for red snapper. Caught a lot and were able to bring home some tasty red snapper. Crews were great and friendly. Well worth the time and money. Also, well worth the money to have them fillet your fish. Definitely will do this trip again.
Jason O — Google review
Took my 12 year-old daughter on the nine hour trip we both Caught our limit on red snapper and also caught a few Vermillion snapper. They supply bait and fishing gear they have beverages and food that you could purchase on the boat .The boat has plenty of space Inside and out the Deck hands were all awesome mind you you’re on a boat with other people they can’t get to everyone at the same time. Ps Restrooms were very clean and comfortable to use.
Dustin L — Google review
We had an awesome time! Did the 6hr 6am to noon trip and tagged out on red snapper quite quick. The deckhands are super helpful. Gary was our captain and he was great! We went out about 1 hour or so then we dropped our hooks and began catching red snapper right away. We moved around a few times and saw some hammer heads, a huge sea turtle, and on our way out and in, some dolphins! Will definitely be doing again. They were able to clean n gut everything for us at the dock when we got back. A few cold drinks on the way back from our last fishing spot. I was nervous as i had read reviews saying the tip jar was pushed on everyone so heavily and once you see these guys running around that boat helping evwryone out youll understand why they should be tipped. And they werent pushy. All in all a 10/10 for me, 1st timer 👌👍🫡 ps... we made fresh red snapper cevíche that evening, chefs kiss 👌

Went for the sunset cruise today 10/25 JESSICA was the best!! So informative and great with our son. She kept him entertained all while making us feel safe and welcomed. Thanks Jessica!!
Eithan E — Google review
This was my very first fishing trip and above all it was a good time. The down side i fill was for a 6hr trip you go out for 2 1/2 hrs fish for 1 hr and 2 1/2hr back and only come back with 2 fish. They say on the site chance to catch red snapper and king fish but all we caught was red snapper. Only came back with 2 fish. I wish we went for the king fish also like they stated on the site. You pay $132 which is not a bad deal considering what you would spend if you rented your own boat. The pic makes it look like we caught a lot but that was just 2 fish per person.

The tours take place aboard the Mustang, a US Coast Guard-certified trimaran with seating for up to 100 passengers. The boat features two spacious decks, including an upper deck and a covered lower deck with a touch tank for close encounters with marine life.
This was a great trip! I highly recommend the Dolphin Watch at 4:30pm to see the sunset. This was such a memorable trip. We learned alot about dolphins, stingrays & the many other aquatic species. We didn't just see most, of what the capt talked about, he pulled on to the boat so we can dee it up close & touch dome of them. Great for kids!

We are so happy we chose this tour! Not only did we see tons of dolphins, but the shrimp trawl demonstration was awesome!! To be able to see and touch little squid, shrimp, sting rays, etc. was very interesting and educational! (They were unharmed and released, btw). I highly recommend this tour!
W G — Google review
Enjoyed the boat ride wasn't really able to see any dolphins cause they were quick to get out sight.
Amanda P — Google review
We had such a good time. The captain made the experience so fun for the kids they all got to see and touch lots of marine life. He got everyone into it and made it so fun! We saw lots of dolphins too. This is our second time doing this tour over the past few years and we will definitely be back. 10/10 recommend

We had so much fun on this Dolphin Watch, the crew was so nice and informative. We saw lots of dolphins. There was quite a bit of traffic out on the water, but it was exciting. It was windy, but it was not bad. It was well worth the price, and everyone enjoyed the fish that was caught in the net. I definitely recommend using Woodys Last Stand for your dolphin watch. You will enjoy it, we will be going again when in the area.
Helen T — Google review
GO HERE if visiting Corpus/Port Aransas. FULL STOP. Amazing experience watching dolphins in the bay with an awesome crew and beer for purchase at the landing - by the bucket - for those interested. (At the time of this writing an iced bucket of 6 bottles was maybe $17 including tax.) So many dolphins! 🐬 Other guests nearby who have done dolphin cruises from Florida, to South Padre said this was by far the most they’ve seen, and I believe it! Also, the cruise ended with a fishing demonstration and getting to view and even hold the caught crabs, squid, perch, and even a rainbow ray was wonderful!

The tour provides a chance to spot the rare and endangered scarlet lady dolphins, with knowledgeable guides pointing out these majestic creatures as they swim alongside the boat. Visitors can witness mother dolphins with their calves and enjoy watching them playfully jumping out of the water.
We had an incredible experience with Scarlet Lady Dolphin Tours in Aransas Pass! The crew was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel completely safe. We saw plenty of dolphins in the beautiful bay, and the one-and-a-half-hour trip was both relaxing and exciting. Snacks and drinks on board were a great touch. Highly recommended for singles, couples, and families—a must-do experience!

We came the week after Memorial Day weekend for my daughters 8 birthday and it was a great ride and the staff was great and Jesse the boat guide she was great and answered every question people had for her. We have been on a boat tour in Florida before but by far my wife and daughter loved this one more. We went for the sunset tour and dolphin watching. We saw a lot of dolphins. I will say at first I really wanted to be in the back of the boat were you are covered from the sun so we ended up at the very front of the boat where you aren't covered from the sun but I'll say I feel like it was the best spot to be on the boat, especially when the captain really start to take some speed the wind is amazing and it's the best view. Over all I highly recommend them. When we come back to padre island we are definitely making a trip back to go on the sunset tour once again.
Edward R — Google review
Our first time on here was amazing!! The crew was so helpful, and so polite. Drinks were delicious! We got to see a lot of dolphins! They had great music playing as well. We didn’t want to leave!! Highly recommend!
Aiko F — Google review
Great little attraction on the Port A island. My family and I went on a whim for my girlfriend birthday and we had a great time. Price wasn't too bad and I ended up purchasing the drink package for my gf since it was her birthday and as long as you get two drinks while on the boat you'll get your money's worth for the drink wristband. Their bar is open to everyone though for purchases with some basic snacks as well. The staff and Captain were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and I enjoyed conversing with Captain Cowboy. We did see quite a few dolphins... they didn't get extremely close to the boat but their wild animals so it's expected and we still got some decent pictures. My advice would be to get in line early to board the vessel to get a good shaded seat. The front of the boat is all open to the sun so wear sunscreen just in case. You book online for your tickets which made the process so easy and check in was a breeze. Parking is nearby in a separate lot which can be tricky/a hassle to deal with because of the ferry traffic but other than that we really enjoyed ourselves.
Steven C — Google review
We loved it! Very reasonable pricing. Would recommend buying the drink package. Saw lots of dolphins! We did the sun set cruise. Great experience!
Jess S — Google review
The Scarlett Lady Dolphin Cruise has become on of our “must do” traditions when we visit and stay in Port Aransas. Yes, the prices have gone up over the years. We’ve taken the sunset cruise several times, before I finally wrote a review. This will be the second review on Google (I think). It was after Labor Day, so the post-season crowds were reasonably light. Of all the times we’ve been on the sunset cruise, it seems this one was the “best.” Now that’s hard to quantify since you’re just cruising about the channel looking for Dolphins and we’ve seen groups of dolphins every single time, but this captain managed to find multiple pods/families of dolphins and still provide a “grand tour” of the channel. The narrator was not too intrusive, but still provided lots of interesting information. Drinks were available, but it was not a HARD SELL approach. We had a left over ticket from two years ago, and they honored that ticket. Nice touch. One more thing. Although I’m usually very careful, I booked the wrong Wednesday. Fortunately, they were not sold-out and easily adjusted my booking. I just wish the lady on the phone would have caught that when I called the day before. My biggest complaint: The “report-in” time is very early, although it only takes a couple minutes to get checked in (if you’ve completed all your paperwork online). If you do it, do the sunset cruise. Sit anywhere as dolphins will show up on all sides, and front and back. (Or as the crew would say, Port, Starboard, Bow and Stern)

Great experience with Captain Cowboy and Company on The Scarlet Lady. During our visit over Memorial Day Weekend we successfully witnessed a number of dolphin pods, saw some cool historic sites, and fended off a pirate ship! Good experience. Ship was comfortable with plenty of shade, seating, and beverages for purchase. Worth our money. Would recommend.

The Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center in Port Aransas offers a unique experience for wildlife enthusiasts. This attraction is part of the Port Aransas Nature Preserve, which includes protected natural sites such as Charlies Pasture and Wetland Park. Visitors can catch glimpses of unique local bird species and even spot alligators in the nearby waterways.
Great place to see shorebirds and other migratory birds. They have made big improvements to the walking path. It’s now cement. Good place to hike as well as birdwatch. Parking is very limited but it looks like they be adding more soon.
Ralph G — Google review
This place is absolutely amazing - even when it's in the 90s and the humidity is in the 70s. Way too hot and very little shade. We saw Ibis, Stilts, Coot, Laughing Gulls, Herons (the tri-color!), Gallinules, Roseate Spoonbill, Egrets, and lots of other birds. There weren't too many folks there so it was nice. It is right next to the landfill (was it built on the landfill?!), so a little stinky - but amazing. I would make it a place to go if you are a birder. If you just want to walk it has nice wooden piers and paths. A calm place in the backwaters!
J R — Google review
Great views of wet lands and birds Cranes, Herons, Pelicans. No dogs allowed, even if being carried dogs are not allowed on boardwalks. Per their website: The following is prohibited by City ordinance within the Port Aransas Nature Preserve: hunting, fishing (allowed only in the ship channel), shell or seed collecting, camping, pets, and alcohol.

The birding center is a nice place to quietly observe the birds, take pictures, observe, and reflect. I recommend planning a visit to anyone looking for a unique activity in nature. You can spend 15 minutes or hours depending on your level of interest. There is no entry fee, but donations are welcome via a small box located at the start of the walking area. The only thing to be aware of is that the center is located right next to the waste water management so there is a smell. It was not overwhelming for me, but it might be for some.
Hiba M — Google review
This is always the highlight of my trip! A visit to the birding center. Its just stunning! The variety of winter birds in particular. Oh! Those gorgeous white pelicans! The variety is stunning! And we got to enjoy the monarch migration to port Aransas last week. The board walk out into the wetland area, raised decks for additional viewing.

This is a beautiful natural preserve at the end of a long curving road to the right of the ferry landing at Aransas Pass. It is a good place for birders. I saw a pelican, flamingo, egrets, ibis ducks, barn swallows, and great tailed grackles. There are two long boardwalks with observation towers. It is a peaceful place to take pictures.

Top Deck Golf Carts - 11th Street

Golf cart dealer
Top Deck Golf Carts - 11th Street offers a convenient solution for golfers who want to avoid walking long distances on the course. The service provides well-maintained golf carts with features like keyless entry, Bluetooth speakers, and headlights for an enjoyable experience. Customers appreciate the after-hours support and the availability of upgraded carts when needed. Although some carts may not have windshields, the friendly and helpful staff ensure that customers have a great time despite any weather challenges.
I can’t say enough great things about Top Deck Golf Carts. These are some of the sweetest rides on the island. Keyless ignition is such a great feature—no need to worry about losing a key on the beach—and the Bluetooth stereo rocks! There are a ton of options for cart rentals in Port A, but Top Deck definitely stands out for great customer service and some of the nicest carts around. Rent with these guys and you won’t regret it!
Ben B — Google review
Top Deck cart and the employees were great. Loved the keyless carts, so I didn’t have to worry about keeping up with them. (I am sure everyone understands that concern) Plus the cart had Bluetooth speakers, & also had headlights. We unfortunately were there during the excessive rain, and our cart didn’t have a windshield, so we didn’t drive it much if it was gloomy or even just misting ... but we did have fun and enjoyed it as much as we could. The employees were courteous, friendly and very helpful. (Seen complaints about p/u and d/o... we got a call and email reminder of our reservation. Drop off was from 9-10, People were waiting until right at 10 to drop off with DIRTY carts, and some with broken parts. The staff were doing their best to get them cleaned, inspected, and ready for the new renters to pick up on time. Bless these employees and all the hard work they do. And the girl on the phone when we arrived was checking reservations and getting people taken car of and into carts, if their paperwork was complete.) I would definitely rent from them again.
MeL F — Google review
The owners are super sweet and greeted me with a big smile. I got a 6 man cart for 3 days. My cart was alot slower than most on the island because everyone passed me but I had a great time on it and it saved my suburban from getting sandy. It had a awesome Bluetooth stereo that was super loud. I only had to put $6 in gas for the 3 days I rented it before I turned it in. I will rent from this company again in the future.
Kristina H — Google review
Awesome service. My golf cart started having problems after hours (around 10pm) while I was cruising the beach road. I texted the after hours number and drove the cart back to the house. The next morning there was another cart parked in front of the house that was nicer than the first one. It had an American flag vinyl wrap, red and white wheels, and a cooler. It was also faster than the first cart and had less trouble going up the boardwalk to the beach. I have no complaints about this company. Will rent again.
Lyle C — Google review
Just returned 2 years later and service was still exactly as described. Online reservation was super easy. They were quick to respond and super helpful. The 6 seater golf cart made the whole trip more enjoyable. Kids loved riding in it so it let us explore the island more and we didn’t feel stuck with just the car.

What a great company!! Renting from TopDeck was a breeze, spectacularly great customer service and they have the most awesome Carts!! We rented the Premium 6 seater. Fit our 2; 3 person families very comfortably. One being over 6 feet tall he had plenty of leg room. Enjoyed all the extra storage it was perfect for souvenir shopping and the built in cooler. We absolutely loved the sound system and smooth ride!! TopDeck has the best built golf carts. We definitely will be renting from them again!!!

These guys have top-notch customer service! It's hard when you're traveling through & don't know whether you're visiting a reputable establishment, there's so much competition on the island for golf carts. However, these guys offer high quality carts at a good price and great customer service! We will rent from them from now on while on our annual Port A family vaca!

$200 a day for cart, bit expensive, but sandfest was going on. Wife was not happy with cart as it was advertised to have blinkers & it did not. Cart under carriage was showing age with alot of rust damage. It ran fine, with code instead of key was nice. The Bluetooth speaker system worked well also. Plain light blue color, it stayed cool in Texas heat.

Palmilla Beach Resort & Golf Community is a stunning beach wedding venue located in Corpus Christi, Texas. The resort offers a perfect beach vibe with its white building and tall palm trees, creating an ideal setting for couples to tie the knot without the hassle of sand. Guests have raved about their exceptional experiences at the resort, from the breathtaking beach condos with walkout balconies to the delicious restaurant and fun beach bar.
The stay at 254 Sunrise Ave was absolutely amazing! Gorgeous home and great location on the Palmilla property. Highly recommend & will definitely be staying there again. Thank you staff at the front office for being so welcoming & allowing us to set up the proposal on the beach!! Y’all are the best!

Property: Beachin’ Bungalow (225 Sunrise Ave) This was our fourth year staying at Palmilla Beach, and our previous three experiences were excellent. Unfortunately, this particular home was a complete disaster. Guests: 4 adults, 2 children (ages 2 years and 4 months) Intended Stay: 3 nights Arrival Experience: The home’s exterior and location were great, but the moment we walked in, we were hit with a strong, unpleasant odor consisting of a mix between cigar smoke and chemical spray. Concerned, we immediately notified the front desk, but were told that all technicians had gone home for the day and that someone could come by in the morning. With two small children, we had no choice but to stay the night. Throughout the evening, I contacted Vacasa corporate, but no solution was offered. Both of my children woke up congested and clearly affected by the smell. At that point, I was extremely concerned for their health and refused to stay any longer. Poor Resolution: When maintenance arrived the next morning, the technician confirmed the odor was severe and not identifiable as just smoke. Vacasa offered to move us to a different property, but it was significantly smaller, dirty, and poorly maintained, with stained furniture and no dining table. Despite the clear downgrade, the only compensation offered was a refund of the cleaning fee (~$150), even though the property price difference alone was over $200. We decided to cancel further stay with Vacasa (receiving a refund) and rebooked with Sunflower Properties, who were wonderful. After this experience, we will never book with Vacasa or this property again. A day and a half of our vacation was completely wasted due to the home’s horrendous condition and Vacasa’s inadequate response

Our condo is missing light fixtures, the master bedroom was super warm. I reported it immediately and nothing has been done. The fridge wasn’t cooling, the dryer barley drys and smells. I rented the place so that we could give my family a top tier experience and I was highly disappointed. Pamilla staff was great and the pool, but the customer service from VACASA to egg anything fixed has been terrible.

Everyone was amazing the whole trip, but on our last day we just wanted to be calm and relax at the pool when a worker with a tattoo on the back of her hand, black hair, and glasses had given us so much trouble and we were going back n forth trying to get wrist bands. 20 minutes later a group didn’t have any wristbands and she had no trouble getting some for them. The previous day at the other pool the manager was great, saw that we were in a group so not everyone had a wristband and was completely understanding since some of us did. Loved the trip, but this was ridiculous.

Great rental we stayed at for 3 nights. Loved the furnishings and appliances. However there were lots of little issues with the unit. Ice maker didnt work, light on stove was burned out, knob on stove broken, dryer lint trap broken. These items were about what i expect at a rental but would have been nice to be discovered and fixed before we get there. Other than that the amenities were great, staff was friendly, and location is just close enough to the town for quick trips.

I’m not sure why there are such bad reviews this place is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. We rented 136 Sundew and it’s awesome. We got arm bands at the office for the pool. It’s resort style with a bar and lifeguards. Everyone has been wonderful on the property. We come to Port A a lot and this is one of my favorite places. We have truly enjoyed the luxury and house. Everything we need is in the house. We would def rent here again.

Bar
Bernie's Beach House in Port Aransas is a popular nightspot with five full-service bars, live bands, karaoke, poker games, and a dance floor. The place offers daily drink specials and a super chill vibe. Guests can enjoy great music and entertainment from talented performers. The outside seating area is always bustling, and patrons can bring in their own pizza to complement the large selection of beer and frozen drinks available at the venue.
Stopped by Bernie's for a drink and a bite to eat. Oh boy were we were surprised! We got there around 2:00 for happy hour and it was starting to get busy. The place filled up with locals by 3 and we checked out the menu.. Wow a fried Bologna sandwich served on Texas toast with potato salad and bread and butter pickles Yummy. $7.75 well worth the money. We also tried the Air fried egg rolls and that came with soy sauce and red chili sauce. These were good also. When the bill came the draft Bud light were $1 each and the mixed drinks were $2 each un happy hour. Five stars ***** The only down that I have personally is that you can smoke in the bars and everyone inside was smoking.

This was an interesting thing... you start by finding a table. You have choices between bar seating, outdoor patio or inside booths and tables. Then you head over to grab menus and order at the kitchen window. You are given a table buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. The bar is hopping and super busy. So be patient for your turn to place a bar order. There were two bartenders, serving about 40-50 bar folk, as well as the additional walk up diners. It was impressive to watch the bar staff move quickly and efficiently. The food was a little bit of a wait, as it seems to be a one man show in the kitchen. But boy was it worth it. It was delicious! The french dip was very tasty and there was almost too much meat in the club. I highly recommend the food. Be patient, it's worth it. I only wish that they had a bit more staff. Seriously, two bar tenders, one cook and one bus person. Apart from that, the atmosphere was fun and people were super friendly. This was a memorable meal.

Bernie's is a local favorite. I didnt rate the food, but they do serve food. Ive just never eaten there. The place is big. During the day the bar is full of locals. With $3 happy hour beers until like 7pm i think. Dont quote me. Haha... Its one of Port A's local dive bars. Fyi... its smoky since they allow people to smoke. Doesn't really bother me. During the summer on either Friday or Saturday nights they have a DJ if you're into that. Its usually busy with young adults, but it is still fun. They literally have a Bernie sitting on a lifeguard chair. I recommend going at least once if you come to Port A. They have 3-4 pool tables and dart boards as well.

Restaurant
Cancun Grill & Cantina is a casual Tex-Mex spot located in a strip mall, offering generous combo plates and a well-stocked bar. Despite its unassuming appearance, the restaurant impresses with its efficient service and delicious food. Customers rave about the quick service, cleanliness, and flavorful dishes such as chicken fajitas with ample veggies and cheese enchiladas. The breakfast options also receive high praise, particularly the chorizo and egg plate as well as the migas plate.
Friendly, fast service. Even though the place was absolutely packed and every table was filled we got our food in 3 minutes it was amazing. Solid food, nothing fancy but good, fresh high quality Tex Mex. The salsa was better than average we went through 3 bowls! Friendly, professional staff that were all working together running food, seating people and bussing tables as a team. I watched big groups walked in one after another and even with a packed house they were able.to accommodate everyone quickly. Most other restaurants would have been on a 15 to 20 minute wait. Not this staff! They cleaned tables the moment people left and got all these big groups seated asap. Will definitely be back our favorite breakfast spot on the island!

Me and my family had mixed reviews overall. I strongly recommend the T bone steak and the skirt steak. However, we did not like the alpastor as it did not taste like traditional Mexican alpastor. I would say give it a shot and see what you think.

Food was OK. Very crowded. But there isn't much to chose from. It's very busy at times. Staff seems stressed, but yeah. Customers can be butt heads. So decent food for the price. Parking is minimal. Staff tries their best.

We came here for a casual dinner around 7pm on a Thursday. Ordered the Cancun burger and the Chicken Milanesa. The chicken was great and the sides were good. The burger was not that great. The patties were thick and it felt like cooked paste. TLDR: Food was warm.

I had been coming to this restaurant for years every time we came to the island, but today when we complained about my friend not being asked how she wanted her T-Bone because it was dry, we found it that they don’t give you a choice on how you want your steak. They just make it medium well and you can’t ask for a replacement because they tell you their restaurant isn’t a steakhouse. What does that have to do with anything? No steak should ever be overcooked like that. The only other place this happened was at another Mexican restaurant in Houston. Apparently to shorten cook times, they cook all their steaks half way so that when they are ordered they put them back on the grill basically to warm them up. Regardless of the customer cooking preferences. And if you complain about wanting a new one, they force you to pay for the steak you will never eat and charge you replace it. We didn’t want a free meal or even a discount. We had no problem paying for a meal we could enjoy, but because we refused to pay for a steak we were never given a of how we wanted cooked and just wanted a replacement, they called the police. We didn’t feel that asking for a meal worth eating was a crime, we waited for the police to get there. I explained to the police that I wasn’t trying to get out of paying the check, I just wanted the steak remade so it would be edible. They forced us to pay for the steak. I couldn’t believe it. If you enjoy eating a steak that tastes like leather than this is the place for you, but if you enjoy your steak cooked less than medien well or well done, this is not the place for you to order a steak. Gross.

zero stars. Refused to accept my Texas temporary ID, made me drive to my hotel to grab my passport if I wanted to be served, and then DID NOT CHECK MY PASSPORT before “serving” me (if u could even call that service) Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Wouldn’t take my Texas issued temporary ID, as I am a new resident of Texas. Then when I left to go get my passport, when I came back, I waited 10 min for a waitress to check on us, then asked three other staff remembers to ask her to come to our table for waters, utensils and my drink. I watched those staff members go up to our waitress and notify them I had requested her attention and watched her refuse to come over, then I watched 3 different waitress’s attend the table next to us 3 times, including ours, after I asked for service, before I finally got up and asked to speak to a manager. At that point, the manager took over the table and our original waitress who never served us water, gave us utensils or napkins and also would really like to emphasize that she didn’t even check my passport that i was “required” to have before serving me the Bloody Mary… never came back to our table. I’ve never experienced attitude like this and a complete disregard of a customers experience at any restaurant, EVER. And I worked in the industry so I know bad service when I see it.

Nestled away from the bustling main street, Avery's Kitchen is a charming little diner that has quickly become a beloved spot for locals and savvy travelers alike. Opened three years ago by islander Avery Hernandez, this unassuming eatery boasts a simple exterior reminiscent of a trailer home and an equally minimalist interior devoid of flashy decor. The inviting atmosphere is complemented by friendly service that keeps patrons coming back for more.
Small, come as you are, out of the way restaurant with great fresh shrimp and amazing hush puppies! Very reasonably priced. Great people working to make your dining experience pleasurable.

Great place! Waitress very Friendly! Surprisingly good food! The only bad thing is they have a very small sitting area so you have to wait until a table is available and they only accept cash only. They offer all you can eat or you can order from the menu. Its worth the wait if there is a line! My kids loved the food and my husband enjoyed the all you can eat.

I have to give three stars because I thought it was a bit pricey, and wasn't super flavorful. My husband had the garlic butter grilled fish po' boy with french fries. You could not taste butter or garlic, it was pretty bland. The french fries were awesome though! I had the garlic butter shrimp po'boy with coleslaw. Same as my husband's,not super impressed with the seasoning job. The coleslaw was good though. Waitress was nice, decent service.Salad bar was small but everything looked fresh. They don't serve rootbeer, just fyi. But you are welcome to byob.

Friendly service, small diner, good food, reasonably priced. I had 2 eggs, cooked perfectly "over-medium". There was no crisp around the edges, but the white was cooked thoroughly and the yolk was still runny (which was great with the Texas toast). Their hashbrowns really shine, perfectly cooked with the slightest crunch and no soggy tater to be found. Ham was flavorful, and a fair portion. Pancake was a little dry for my taste, but if you like syrup it is fine.

I'm sure they're awesome for breakfast, but lunch is so-so. It depends on what ya get. My burger was perfect... Exactly how i like it to the detail of lettuce and tomato on bottom and pickles and cheese on top. Folks who got the salad bar seemed happy. The other member of my party, however, was very unhappy with his meal, and i could see why. Also, very little to choose from.

Been going here since it opened. Service is always friendly and quick. It's very busy in the breakfast hours, not so much in the afternoon. Food has always been great. Best fish on the island, in my opinion. They only take cash, and their hours are a little hard to keep up with. Weekdays I think they're open until 2pm, and not sure on the weekends. Other than that, we frequent this place as much as we can during our visits to Port A.

Virginia's On the Bay is a renowned open-air restaurant located by the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, offering a picturesque dining experience. Boaters and anglers frequent this coastal eatery for its dockside dining and locally sourced seafood dishes. The menu features juicy seared steaks, succulent gulf fish and shrimp, Cajun boil, and a Bring-Your-Own-Fish specialty.
Fun, on the coast restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. Lots of drink options and good food, fresh oysters as well. Fresh and well shucked. Nice view of the bay and plenty of boats around. Lots of seagulls and the like flying around, even saw pelicans diving into the water. Nice spot in Port A for some good food with family.

3 stars for Virginia’s On the Bay. We had a mixed experience during our visit. There were four of us in the group, and opinions were definitely split. The highlight of the night was the grilled mahi-mahi (catch of the day) served with garlic, rice, and zucchini—easily a 5-star dish. We also ordered a couple of lobsters, and those were excellent as well—again, solid 5 stars. However, the rest of the meal didn’t quite live up to the same standard. The lobster salads were disappointing—bland and underwhelming (2 stars). The fish and shrimp combo was also lacking in flavor and presentation—another 2 stars. As for drinks, we ordered the Mexican martini margaritas, and unfortunately, they weren’t impressive either—a 2-star rating for those as well. All in all, the views and location were great, and a couple of the dishes really hit the mark, but the inconsistencies across the menu brought the overall experience down. Worth a visit for the view and a shot at a great seafood dish, but be selective with what you order.

Really cute and chill atmosphere here. Being seated can be a chaotic and lengthy process, but it is worth the wait. The staff are all very friendly & upbeat. My toddler really enjoyed himself there as well. All of the food was top-notch and we waited very little time to receive our food. Yes, expect really long wait time during dinner and holidays! We had to wait 4 months to come back and eat, because the first time we came it was a 3 hour wait (Memorial Day Weekend)! It took us about 20 minutes to be seated, not bad. It’s worth mentioning the seating isn’t indoors, so dress for the warm weather. I recommend the fried calamari; superb.

Beautiful views! Open air was so nice and comfortable! Nice service! Fried pickles & ranch and the coleslaw were the best things! All the food was pretty good, but not great. We come here every few years, and maybe they’ve changed the fries they didn’t seem as good. Shrimp was very good. The fish was not hot, and a bit dry. Hush puppies were good! Be careful in the parking lot, it’s a bit crowded and hard to stay safe.
Ginger W — Google review
The service was great! Our server was friendly, attentive and had excellent recommendations on the food. The crab cakes were delicious, the drinks were a hit and the Mahi was the best choices of the night.

I brought my employees down to the coast for a relaxing weekend of fishing and beach going. We wanted some good food on the water, so we put our name in for the 60 minute wait. It took a little longer than expected and I think that we were passed up and forgotten off the wait list. No problem. The place is awesome, and the waitress was very friendly. She was very busy but kept us taken care of. The food was not great. My steak was chewy and not served hot. The shrimp were chewy and overcooked. It wasn't terrible food, but it was pretty disappointing. The place is great, but please step it up in food quality.

This was our first time here. It was a great find for sure! We will definitely go back. We had the special: Grilled Redfish on dirty rice with Cajun cream sauce fried crawfish tails on top and served with a side of grilled zucchini and squash. This was the best fish I have had in a long time. This is a great place for date night. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. I had already taken a bite when I took the picture. Sorry NOT sorry!
Lisa M — Google review
The food was way too overpriced for the amount of food served and the quality of it, for instance the pasta Alfredo was bitter. I do have to say that the atmosphere is nice. You need reservations if you want to sit inside but the patio is first come first serve, which is what we did. Servers were very friendly.

What a great find! Tired of the same old fried food, overpriced drinks establishments, we were excited to find a place that offered upscale food, in a comfortable setting, at reasonable prices. We chose to dine outside, ordered the fish of the day (Redfish) which was prepared just perfectly, and also ordered the blackened Mahi Mahi tacos. Are service was exceptional and we loved how the chef didn't overseason and cover up the natural flavors of our fish. Simply Delicious and it was a simply beautiful evening. We'll definitely be back!

Our second time here and we decided this place is our favorite! I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the Mahi. Try the Lime in the Coconut drink! Wow! The atmosphere here is so pleasant. We really enjoy it. We highly recommend and will keep coming back.

Frankly, I expected a better meal for the price I paid. I ordered a seafood plate, which looked and tasted like fast food with a bunch of Frenchfries and deep-fried seafood. Fish, oysters, shrimp, and vegetables seemed fresh but lack flavor.

I'm not sure why the reviews are mixed, but we had an excellent dining experience at Black Marlin this evening. We began with the flauta appetizer special, accompanied by a pineapple jalapeño margarita, cucumber martinis, and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. For our main course, we enjoyed the scallop pasta, salmon salad, shrimp and grits, and grilled mahi mahi tacos. Everything was cooked to perfection. To finish, we couldn’t resist trying both the signature key lime pie and the strawberry shortcake. The service was outstanding—attentive and professional. I highly recommend Black Marlin and would gladly choose to dine here regularly over the typical fried bar food found at most spots on the island.

We were on a family vacation, went to have a nice dinner to end our trip and was absolutely disappointed. Server was terrible, never came back to refill waters, had to ask multiple times for the kids waters, food was brought out wrong and after waiting over an hour for ONE plate to be remade we asked for an ETA and waited another 15 minutes with “no response” from the kitchen per the server. I finally went and spoke with a manager. I had better service and food at Blue Water Cowboy the following day. I will never come back to this establishment.

Palmilla Beach Resort and Golf Community is a premier destination for golf enthusiasts, offering an 18-hole links style championship course designed by Arnold Palmer. With breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico and Corpus Christi Bay, this par 71 course spans over 6900 yards from the back tees. The resort also features a 3-hole short course called The Loop for quick and challenging play. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the beautiful coastal views and practice their swing at the driving range.
We had an amazing round of golf here. The staff went out of their way with top notch hospitality. Course was in excellent condition, beautiful grass. And the best part - for me - I played 9 holes in the summer, in Texas, BAREFOOT. I thought they were joking, but it was exhilarating! Hardly any bugs and like walking on soft carpet. Highly recommend!
Maureen C — Google review
This review is for the course: Great golf course and have never had a bad experience, but simply not worth the $70 they are now attempting to charge for 9 holes with no par 5s. Palmilla may wish that Port A was Destin, but it is (thankfully) not, and charging “resort” pricing for their current offering is not the right move, in my opinion. I would happily pay $70 up to $120 for a full golf course, but not for the current layout - regardless of condition. It’s a shame as we have always enjoyed playing there, but not worth the money for half a golf course.

Great par 32 9 holes. I was on Mustang island for 3 days. I need my golf fix. Palmilla was perfect. The wind blowing from the coast makes it very challenging. I didn't make it to the bar, afterwards. But it looked very relaxing

The grounds are not cared for and all. Grass is dead everywhere, more weeds than grass everywhere no exaggeration. They take so much HOA money from the poor homeowners and in return have monetized everything and taken good care of nothing

The course itself is in Incredible shape. The greens are in excellent shape and they are uniquely soft. Playing the course is a blast and it’s beautiful out on every hole - very well up kept. Staff inside is friendly. As a whole the course is very cool. And if you can go during the week when there’s not a ton of people it’s a great time. If I did this review last year it would’ve been 5 stars easily. In fact playing this course is one of the things I looked forward to most when visiting Port Aransas the last couple years. The disappointing part is that the price went up SIGNIFICANTLY the past year. I’d played this course 10x since it was reduced to 9 holes and every time it was either $45 or $50 with no added tax (most recently in December 2023). But then I went the other day and it was $70 plus tax (ended up around $78) for 9 holes!! $120 is the cost for 18 which is just playing the same 9 twice. Supposedly it used to be a very nice upscale 18 hole course pre-Hurricane Harvey (never played it then). After the hurricane they reduced this course to 9 holes and it was supposed to be a cheaper, more laid back course (obviously not having a full 18 holes lends itself to that). They allow you to play barefoot which is rly cool on that grass. And $50 with a cart and range balls was affordable and I would often play multiple times per trip. So it was Super disappointing to have it go up that much for no real reason. Keep in mind not only is it 9 holes, but it’s also no Par 5s - 5 par 4s, 4 par 3s. So you’re playing this course really quick for $80. Also the course was EMPTY this time and tee times were wide open all week - I’m sure going up in cost hasn’t helped business. With the bar and restaurant nearby you’d think you’d want to draw more ppl and attract attention. Anyways if money is not an issue then this place is awesome. If you’ve never played this course it’s worth playing 9. I love everything about it and I like supporting Port A businesses. And I get it, inflation has hit everyone - Just disappointed they would charge that much. Could’ve gone up a little and not done a 50% price hike. I’ll still be playing here but just not as much anymore at that price.

Fun 9 hole course in Port Aransas. Clubhouse is friendly and has some cool swag. Driving range is preset with balls that's reachable by the bridge over the highway. Fun layouts and the greens and fairways are lush. Holes aren't terrible long with one par 5. Nice little restaurant and bar to wrap up your round next to clubhouse.

Port Aransas Nature Preserve at Charlie's Pasture is a beloved destination in Port Aransas, offering a chance to encounter diverse wildlife such as alligators, Texas tortoises, and over 200 bird species. Visitors can explore the area on foot or by watercraft. The preserve features walking trails with scenic views of marshlands and wetlands, making it an ideal spot for birdwatching. Families can also enjoy the storybook trail featuring the Roseate spoonbill children's book.
Here from Kansas City! We took and evening stroll and found the most amazing wildlife! Birds, fiddler crabs, sea monsters (fish making riples), tarantulas, swallow tail butterflies and their caterpillars, a hare, and plenty of amazing plants!

This place is beautiful! A longer, mostly elevated natural trail that covers a lot natural Texas wetland. Plenty of birding to do and ship watching to do here. This leeward side of the island used to be pretty rough and trashy when I was younger! But the city has done a magnificent job cleaning this area and beautifying it for people to enjoy. The path is even wide enough for biking!

Beautiful at sunset. Wonderful park. BUT. They fenced off a portion that’s under construction and it’s littered with junk from the crew behind the fence. They should keep it cleaner. There’s plastic cable ties all over the place, risking local wildlife.

The Nature Preserve at Charlie's Pasture in Port Aransas offers a serene escape into diverse coastal habitats. Spanning over 1,200 acres, the preserve features well-maintained trails that are accessible to most visitors. During our visit, we observed a variety of bird species, including a long-billed curlew, Northern Mockingbird, meadowlark, Great-tailed Grackle, Reddish Egret, and, in the distance, three Whooping Cranes. The combination of boardwalks, sidewalks, and packed gravel paths makes for an easy and enjoyable hike. Facilities are clean and well-kept, enhancing the overall experience. For nature enthusiasts and bird watchers, this preserve is a must-visit destination. Thomas Corrao Stray Compass Life

Beautiful Preserve with plenty of active birds and other wildlife. Nice trails and decent observation points. Wonderful way to start your morning in the area. Take your birding list and check off what you find, many species during migration times and the preserve is close to town.

Enjoy a beautiful stroll on an amazing path that Overlooks the shipping channel and winds their way through title marshes. Keep your eyes peeled you will see everything from geckos, turtles, migrating Shorebirds, look the rosette spoonbill and of course the dolphin show has the Freighters go by. When we visited there was also a story book Trail that featured the children's book about the Roseate spoonbill. This added an extra layer of fun for the family. Bring plenty of water as the walk get very warm in the summer. There is plenty of parking and a bathroom. They are doing some upgraded Construction and sometimes parking is limited. There is several Pavilions for shade along the way and one large Pavilion that overlooks a lake. This would be a good spot for a picnic. Also if you remember you will get a better look at all the wildlife if you bring binoculars. Do you have your wits about you as our walk was early in the morning and we did cross paths with a couple who was not there to view the wildlife.

The center is dedicated to uplifting local talent by providing opportunities for production, presentation, and purchase of fine art.
This is a great gallery. Lots of pieces of many types of media, all from local artists. Taking home some of their art is a great way to remember a trip to Port-A! My girls really enjoyed an art lesson from one of the artists with paintings on display, some of which we bought for our home.

Absolutely amazing!!! One of a kind art from local artists and you can purchase it all and take lessons as well! Friendly staff. I took my teenage granddaughter and her friend and they were amazed! Highly recommend this as part of your beach vacation!!!

I am an art junkie while vacationing and love to collect local art so I definitely did not pass this up. There was a very nice lady and gentleman running it, they were very nice letting me sit and sift even offering wine. I definitely spent more than I needed to but not as much as I could have because there were so many great pieces. I did notice that they had community art area so it is really cool they do classes because we like to support local. The small note card sized prints ended looking great in frames that we got from Hobby Lobby, it was 3 cards per frame with matting.

The Art Center of Port Aransas is a beautifully curated gallery featuring local and international artists living in the area like myself 🤍 Most artwork is inspired in the natural surroundings of the area, you will find landscapes, birds, fish, and abstract pieces inspired in those subjects. Coming in the gallery makes a great day activity for all the family, kids will love to look at fun art, parents will love the amazing photography, and if your walls are all occupied, there is gorgeous wearable art, hand made one of a kind jewelry, statement pieces and other small souvenirs. Most of the artists volunteer at the gallery on a daily basis, so you may get lucky and meet some of us during your visit. We are happy to have you here, see you soon! 🎨🖼👩🏽‍🎨

I attended their First Friday event in November, 2018. It was a nice occasion with a very good turnout. There was a lot of variety to see: paintings, sculpture, stained glass, jewelry, photography. I saw several pieces I really liked. There were snacks and drinks (wine, punch, and a mixed drink) and live music which was nice. I went with my friend and we both had a very nice time.

We were greeted with a welcoming smile from the owner...who by the way is as adorable as her store. So kind and a wealth of information. The store is a little gem that makes your heart happy. She has so much and a little something for everyone. This is a must visit shop for sure, we will definitely be back.

I've been to Port A many times and this was the first at Gratitude. I got to the store 30 mins early before opening and spent an hour inside admiring the souvenirs. This is not a typical tee shirt souvenir store. I bought a few items to bring back to my family. I love this store. It is small, organized and not overwhelming. I love the sparkles on the wooden floor. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. A couple who frequented the island stopped by just to say hello to her. Make sure you stop at the store and check it out before leaving the island.

Nestled in a charming kit house dating back to the early 1900s, the Port Aransas Museum serves as a vibrant hub for regional history and preservation. Originally one of Texas's most endangered structures when it was donated in 2007, this beautifully renovated museum now showcases an array of permanent exhibits that delve into the rich cultural tapestry of Port Aransas.
This was such a neat experience! I could have listened about all the fishing and history for hours.

Although just 2 rooms and a gift shop on the ground floor of a small house, it was a great way to learn about Port Aransas history (free but leave a donation at the log book).Took maybe 30 minutes but the person working there this particular afternoon provided us with much more information and stories. Worth the stop!

This is a must when visiting this town for the first time. We met a lady who was raised here who told us stories of the locals as she walked us through the museum. Fun information to learn. While you’re in Port A you will see a bunch of boat planters in front of people’s houses and businesses that pay tribute to the oldest boat maker on the island. It would make a great hide & seek game for kids.

Great museum for the population of this town. We've been coming to Port A for 50 years, and now we're really learning about the jetties, getting questions answered about the history. The director and volunteers are long PA residents and business owners as well as historians. It is just as interesting to ask them questions about this great little town.

A Great way to learn some early family history of my DIL's family from the 1840's in early Texas history in Port Aransas area. The Port Aransas historian was really helpful as he was a neighbor of my daughter inlaw who grew up in Port Aransas and knew so much local history and her family and many other families from the Island. What an adventure of hardships and perseverance for those early Texas settlers to today.

The Crazy Cajun Seafood Restaurant is a beloved spot in Port Aransas, where the atmosphere is as relaxed as the dining experience. This charming eatery has become a staple for both locals and visitors, drawing them back with its mouthwatering offerings. The highlight of any visit is undoubtedly their signature dish, the Hungry Cajuna—a delightful mix of shrimp, crab, sausage, and crawfish served alongside hearty corn on the cob and potatoes.
My daughter and I couldn't decide where to go for dinner, and we're happy we decided to eat at the Crazy Cajun. They had a location to wait while you are waiting for your table. They served wine and beer in the waiting area Cash only. When we sat down, we chose the Hungry Cajun, red beans and rice, and the shrimp gumbo. We weren't disappointed! The crab and crawfish were delicious. There were shrimp, potatoes, corn, and sausage. They brought a loaf of bread to the table. Great meal!!

So far this place has been awful. You’re told a 30-45 minute wait and then after you finally get to sit down after an hour and we still haven’t seen our entrees come out. People are leaving without being served. I will update on the food shortly. Please see photos. Absolutely ridiculous. 140 dollars and that doesn’t include drinks or appetizers. Look at the crab portions. Talking with other people at other tables everyone has the same thing to say. Definitely not worth what you pay for.

Out exploring the community we saw and decided to stop by for some gumbo. We ordered the shrimp gumbo, shrimp etoufee, and a half pound peel and eat shrimp. Our meal came with hot bread. Everything was good, and the service was excellent. Will go back!

An average cajun restaurant. Food was okay, a bit bland, but they did have Tabasco sauce. The serving sizes were very small for the price, even if this is a tourist town. All the utensils, bowls, and plates are paper. It was a very limited "cajun" menu that a novelist could bring together; nothing that made them stand out for a second trip.

Finally tried The Crazy Cajun and it was worth it! It was Sat evening about 6:30 and we were seated fast. Robert, our waiter was amazing! Super nice and gave us a breakdown of the menu. Loved the food being poured onto the table! Everything was prepared perfectly. MAJOR like: guy behind us playing music on phone loud and Robert asked him to turn it down! Thanks Robert for reminding people about manners!

I've been eating at the Crazy Cajun for decades and the food is always good, however expensive. My only complaint is that with all the ceiling fans on, it's like eating in a tornado. Within minutes, the wonderfully-cooked, steaming food was ice-cold making it unpalatable. Please leave the fans off. Ceiling fans have no business being in a restaurant when food is expected to be hot.
Johnny M — Google review
I felt like the portions were small for the price. Got 2 of the Cajun boil, some jambalaya & dirty rice also added a half a pound of shrimp. The 5 Inch pizza that i got for my kid was just a frozen pizza. Next time i go or maybe not, i won't get crawl fish or corn, my dish only had like 4 potatoes and had to cut to portions to share. Also ordered half a pound of snow crab and it was just 2 legs.

Tortuga's Saltwater Grill is a top seafood and steak restaurant in Port Aransas, offering a comfortable dining experience with porch seating. The restaurant is renowned for its dedication to serving pristine seafood and prime steaks, providing an upscale yet relaxed atmosphere. Guests can savor expertly prepared dishes such as succulent shrimp tacos and mouthwatering Candied-bacon burgers.
From the moment we walked in, Tortuga’s Saltwater Grill struck the perfect balance between upscale atmosphere and warm, beach-town charm. The staff greeted us with genuine friendliness, and the service remained attentive and friendly throughout our evening. The menu offers a delightful array of fresh seafood and prime steaks. We began with the truffle fries and were hooked—they arrived crispy, flavorful, and generously portioned. For our main courses, the surf & turf and blackened fish of the day both stood out: the seafood tasted vibrant and fresh, and the steak was cooked perfectly. Sides and accompaniments complemented the mains without overpowering them. Ambience here is a subtle strength. The décor is refined yet relaxed, and it never felt stuffy. Whether you’re visiting for a special dinner or a casual night out, the setting fits perfectly. The patio seating is a nice bonus for enjoying the Gulf breeze. Highly recommended.

The hype is real. This place is setting the standard in the area. Accommodating, polite, and 100% the best oysters and fish I have ever had in 34 years. The espresso martinis are transcendent, the staff is down to earth and will easily point you in the right direction. You can not go wrong here, and for the experience and food you’re getting the price tag is overly reasonable. Thank you guys so much for making 4 people and a baby from dallas have the best vacation. We went two nights in a row, 0 regrets.

I heard someone talking about it as I was checking into my hotel. Was a great recommendation! We came early but when we left there was a 2 hour wait for seating so a reservation is a must. The butter clams were amazing, light and savory. The queso crab dip was also a nice appetizer. We also got the texas fried platter and the oysters and shrimp did not disappoint! The oysters were pretty big and the shrimp had the gulf flavor I enjoy and rarely get. Shrimp and grits were good, the grits shaped like toast was a surprise. Overall was a nice little spot, a tad pricey but is a nice now and again kinda place.

Decent food but overpriced for the quality. The crap dip has more cheese than crab. Schnitzel was great. The crab crusted red fish was large but it was slightly dry as it was over cooked. Nice ambiance and we got a personable waitress with a great sense of humor that makes our experience better. In summary, expensive place with OK food with nice vibes.

So, I would like to start with the fact that Google thinks this is a hotel, when it's a restaurant (bad Google)! That being said, I'll start with the positive. The bartender and the drinks were both absolutely amazing!! I wish every bartender was as outgoing as her! She got extra cool points for being a ginger(us soul takers have to stick together)!! The service is also exceptional. We sat on the patio, and several staff were out there constantly making sure everyone was taken care of. The less than positive for us was the food itself. The eggs on my benedict were over cooked to the point the yolks were basically hard-boiled, and the hashbrowns on both plates were simultaneously blackened while almost raw in the center. My wife actually like this while I did not. All in all, I would definitely recommend Tortuga's for enjoying drinks on the patio, but I'd need to come again for something other than brunch before recommending the food.

We went here for lunch on a Saturday and it was outstanding! My wife got the redfish and I tried the lobster roll and both were amazing. Our kids enjoyed their food and I was quite impressed with the portion sizes all around, definitely two meals worth for our little. The service is quick and friendly and I appreciated the manager going around and lending a hand to the crew. I also really appreciated the little things this place does: the family bathroom was very thoughtful especially with kids, the place just looks great. This place was a perfect lunch spot to match this cozy beach trip.

MacDaddy's Family Kitchen is a go-to spot in Port Aransas, Texas for those craving delicious Southern comfort food and BBQ. The restaurant offers a relaxed environment with craft beers on tap, making it an ideal place to unwind and enjoy a satisfying meal. Known for its sizable standby, MacDaddy's serves up Texas barbecue platters featuring a variety of options such as brisket, fried fish, and pulled pork.
Great food! My family and I come from San Antonio and we love Port A and have never heard of Mac Daddy’s! It’s been awhile since we’ve back to the coast. My son and I had fun in the gift shop and the merchandise was very reasonably priced. The toys are fun to play with. My husband got the burger and fries, my son got the fries, Mac n cheese and pulled pork, and I got the jalapeño cheddar sausage with broccoli on the side. Don’t forget your kids get free ice cream👍🏻 May the Lord God bless you “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Our waiter Joshua was fantastic! He had a great attitude and was very accommodating throughout the night! The food selection isn't very detailed on the menus provided. There isn't a very wide selection of seafood entrees and is more of a barbecue spot if you ask me. The portions were very generous! The blackened fish and shrimp were delicious! The fried seafood platter had a little too much breading for my liking and the broccoli was a little too watery as well. Pretty great spot for big parties! Had over 20 people in our group, and even though we sat outside it wasn't too bad with all of the fans and breeze in the evening.

We got blackened shrimp and a 2-meat plate. The shrimp was delicious. The BBQ had good smoke flavor. They have 2 kinds of BBQ sauce on the table. One reminds me of a Carolina sauce. The other is closer to a Texas sauce but it has an interesting spice to it, just enough enough to add a kick, not overpowering. The pinto beans were excellent. Enjoyed eating outside on the deck.

Professional service. The food was amazing. I had the smoked turkey and jalapeno cheddar sausage plus the cream jalapeno corn and fries. He had the brisket and jalapeno cheddar sausage, mashed potatoes and cornbread. It absolutely exceeded our expectations. The quality of the meat was great and flavor delicious. Will absolutely be going back.

We visited this spot recently and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the food was genuinely good — flavorful and served in generous portions that left us more than satisfied. The ambiance was pleasant, and there was ample parking available on a weekday, though I can imagine weekends might get pretty crowded. Our waitress was lovely — attentive and kind, checking in both before and after our meal to make sure everything was to our liking. That kind of service really makes a difference. Unfortunately, our experience at the front desk was disappointing. The woman who greeted us was noticeably rude and dismissive, which made us feel unwelcome. There was an uncomfortable undertone to the interaction that felt, frankly, a bit discriminatory. It cast a shadow over what could have been a great visit. Overall, the food and table service were commendable, but the front-of-house experience needs serious improvement. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously — every guest deserves to feel welcome from the moment they walk in.

The only issue i experienced was it was a bit hot in the restaurant. I didn't want to sit outside because it was hot but we probably should have maybe the breeze would have been better. We were sweating it was pretty warm in August.

Tasty food, good waiter. Mixed drink was very well made! A nice stop if you're in the area! Outdoor seating is available, along with a ramp for accessibility access.

We had lunch at MacDaddy’s on Sunday. The wait for an inside table was long while seating outside was immediate. The weather was hot but sitting under the covered porch was surprisingly comfortable. The porch area had some large fans that kept the air moving so it was nice to be outside under the porch roof. The food was good. I had the MacDaddy burger and it was really good. Everyone at our table also said their food was good. Our server Joshua was also exceptional. He wasn’t the helicopter server but always seemed to pop up right when we needed something. He was funny, helpful and a great source of local information. And he seemed to take pride in his work. You don’t find many employees like that anymore so we hope to sit at his table the next time we are in Port A. Good food, atmosphere, fair prices, and attentive, pleasant employees, what more can you ask for?

The Phoenix Restaurant & Bar offers a romantic dining experience with delicious food, courteous service, and a stunning sunset view over the harbor. The restaurant features fresh sushi and seafood, along with tasty cocktails. Its laid-back atmosphere welcomes guests in flip-flops to enjoy ample outdoor seating. The menu has an Asian influence, offering dishes like pork pot stickers and sesame-crusted tuna salad.
I wish we had discovered the Phoenix on the first night of our vacation in Port A, instead of the last night. I’m willing to bet that the Phoenix has the best menu and finest food within 100+ miles. We had a scrumptious shrimp-topped fried tomato appetizer. Husband enjoyed a gorgeous steak, and I had the triple tail fish with a coconut and pistachio sauce that was very possibly the best fish I’ve ever eaten. The menu has a slight Japanese flair which adds some amazing new flavors to the menu. The sake was incredible while others bragged on the Phoenix Martini. The atmosphere indoors is not exactly romantic. Very utilitarian and due to its small size, it can get noisy, so don’t be heading there for a quiet candlelit expensive dinner date. The outside eating is lovely however! Perhaps the only thing that was disappointing was dessert. Coconut cream pie was just a little above average, not sweet enough in our opinion. The lemon blueberry creme brûlée was delicious, but served in a 1/3 cup size metal tin that looked a little like what you might buy in a set of 6 at Costco. Don’t get me wrong…it was very good! Just didn’t compete with our gorgeously plated food earlier in the meal, nor did it look very appetizing sitting there all cold and naked on a white plate! It didn’t keep me from devouring it however, and wishing it was a little bigger! Service was friendly and fast! We will be back many more times! We made a reservation and I’m glad we did. By the time we left at 7pm on a Thursday night, the restaurant was virtually full.

We had reservations for 6:30 and when we went inside we found it too loud inside for us to enjoy our dinner and it was also very cold inside. They were kind enough to re-seat us outside and set up two heaters to try to keep us ram on a very windy night. Our server Erik took excellent care of us going the extra mile at every turn. Pass on the beef skewers, they were very chewy. The tuna entree was top notch as was the haddock special with a lemon crème sauce, rice and steamed vegetables. We also loved the ginger cake with cream cheese frosting, yum! It is pricey to dine here.

We had a perfect evening and a delicious meal, surrounded by the beauty of the coast. The water was gently lapping at the boat docks, a warm breeze carried the crisply clean smell of the nearby ocean. My husband’s martini was devine and ice cold. My glass of red wine was just that I was in the mood for! We shared a large crab cake as appetizer and it had huge chunks of tender crab, but we both thought the crab cake was dry. We shared a redfish entree and it was perfectly cooked and the risotto with spinach was the best! Note. We tried The Phoenix because we had met a group of people at The Tortuga restaurant , boisterous and friendly. Then we were told a lady had paid for our drinks! The Tortuga bartender Roy told us they were great people, including the owner of the Phoenix who had generously paid for our drinks! We will remember this experience very fondly.

Gorgeous location and super cozy atmosphere. Server was super nice. Food was absolutely fantastic and refreshing. I had the tuna stack. Highly recommend. Sauce on it is a little spicy but I love that. Definitely going to come back.

Wow wow wow-- this is the best place ive ever eaten hands down. If you want fresh seafood, prepared right, and you actually want to get what you pay for as opposed to all of the other touristy high priced stuff on the island-- this is absolutely the place to go. Sat down saw a few families with kids eating, so im not sure what the other reviews are talking about, maybe they just had big parties and no reservations-- ANYWAYS Best crab cakes ive ever had, best coconut cream pie, and the sushi is amazing as well. This has been the highlight of my beach trip along with my friends-- 10/10 dont miss this. I will definitely be back 💕

Well let me start with the food is normal pretty good. We made reservations for 8 , started raining unexpected the restaurant went into scramble mode trying to seat the people from outside inside once they had managed to do that we were a Party of Three there was three chairs at the bar the bartender said we could sit down there the hostess and the server quickly shunt her and told us that those seats were for somebody else as time went on and it was now 8:30 and we were still not sat the server tried to pretend like he didn't even work at the restaurant which was funny because we had him the night before just seems like he was too busy trying to pick up a date after he'd let me know it'd be another 10 to 15 minute wait I decided that we would no longer be eating at that establishment we drove down the road Tortugas got us right in
