Established in 1978, Blackbeards is a popular spot offering a casual and lively setting for enjoying a wide array of seafood, steaks, burgers, and sandwiches. With its roots heavily influenced by the Gulf of Mexico, this restaurant has grown from seating 35 to accommodating 350 diners. The outdoor bar and spacious patio area provide an ideal environment to savor Florida's sunny weather.
My wife and I really enjoyed eating here and we ordered one meal and split it and it was definitely enough. We both were satisfied and full. Our waiter who was named Jose but people call him Joey was really attentive. We had a great experience.

Blackbeard’s Restaurant on South Padre Island has the reputation as the place to go when on the island. When we told our neighbors that we were going to South Padre Island, they said we had to stop at Blackbeard’s. So, we stopped on a Sunday evening for dinner. The restaurant was busy but not crowded and we were seated right away. This restaurant has a great vibe and is exactly what you’d expect for a restaurant in a beach community. My wife got the Blackbeard’s Seafood Platter with steak fries and house salad. She chose the Asian catfish as her fish option. This is a large amount of food, but it was mostly fried catfish. There were three shrimps, two small scallops, and a small amount of stuffed crab and shrimp with a huge plate of steak fries. The fried food was fine, but we weren’t blown away by any of it. I got the Ginger Teriyaki Ahi Tuna with French fries and house salad. The tuna steak was cooked perfectly, had a great flavor, and it was a large portion. I really enjoyed it and would get it again. Overall, we’re happy that we tried Blackbeard’s. The service was okay, the atmosphere was good, and the menu has something for everyone.

At dinner with our family here on a holiday in South Padre Island . Environment is fun. Great music, lots of decorations, plenty of seating. Menu has lots of options. Pricing is $15-$25 per person for the most part. Portion sizes are huge and was the best part. Food was really good. Highly recommend the tacos
Matthew K — Google review
Food was awesome, waiter and hostess were friendly and attentive. Had a party of 5 and we all had a full meal, and dessert for just over $120. Everyone was happy with the food. It was a great dinner. Props to Kevin for not letting our drinks get less than half before refilling. The key lime pie, pumpkin cheesecake, and apple desserts were great.

food was awesome! portions are lowkey huge and crazy, but we had leftovers and they were just as good. the baked snapper with crab stuffing was so so good. the bourbon salmon was also very tasty. and shoutout to our server, esmeralda, who was amazing and so helpful!!

Had lunch on a weekday and the food, the service, and the pricing were all very good. The shrimp and the Asian fish were nicely battered and fried. The lunch platters came with cole slaw, hush puppies, and fries, all of which were good. Ramon did a great job, making a fresh pot of coffee to accompany our key lime pie. He refilled our coffee mugs without being asked and was very attentive overall.
Mark D — Google review
Food was great (I should've taken pictures of my husband's and son's food! I always get chicken 🥹🤷🏻‍♀️) - huge portions, excellent quality! Esmeralda was a wonderful server (give her a raise 😁)!!! Huge place, fast service. Staff seemed happy and friendly! Highly recommend!

Plenty of good food for your money. Our waitress even refilled our water jug with ice and water for us. Would be nice if there were seats with a view, but this does not seem to be a thing on SPI.

Theme Parks
Gravity Park, established in 1993, is an amusement park located at South Padre Island. It offers a variety of thrilling activities such as reverse bungee jumping, go-karts for both adults and children, mini-golf, a 60-foot Ferris wheel, and the Skycoaster which provides panoramic views of the island. The park is a popular tourist attraction for families seeking fun and excitement.
Gravity Park is an absolute must-visit if you're in South Padre Island! From the thrilling reverse bungee to the classic Ferris wheel with breathtaking views of the island, this park is packed with fun for all ages. The go-karts are a blast, and the mini-golf course is both challenging and enjoyable. The giant stick thing was amazing too, probably the best thing! The only downside is that the prices can feel a bit steep, especially if you're planning to enjoy multiple attractions. *You can only pay to go on the rides once* that said, the quality of the rides and the unforgettable memories make it worth every penny. It's the perfect spot for families, friends, or even a fun date night! We'll definitely be back next time we're on the island. Gravity Park truly adds to the magic of SPI!
Matt P — Google review
The kids had a blast. We went on July 3rd, and it was not that busy at all. It was perfect. My little ones did the kids' go carts, and then I took them on the 2 seater one. Then the kids did the Faris Wheel. Play mini golf yea. Core memories made. It was fun. The staff was very good and all seemed happy to be working out there.
Lee M — Google review
If you're looking for a leisurely way to pass the time, this amusement spot can be a delightful little escape! We decided to tackle the mini golf course during our visit. While the layout may not have the most imaginative themes or eye-catching designs, it makes up for it with its cleanliness and well-maintained facilities. It’s a solid course that offers a casual round of golf without any frills. Whether you’re aiming for a fun date or a family outing, it provides just the right amount of entertainment to keep you engaged without overwhelming you. So, if you're in the area with some free time, give it a whirl!
Rara B — Google review
This is an overall fun place. Hours are perfect due to the TX heat. It would be nice if they had a discounted price for all the rides, not just individual.
Kathi S — Google review
My daughter went on her birthday and she decided she wanted to do the bungee jumping here. She enjoyed it very much with her friends. You can hear some of them screaming they didn’t have as much fun as she did but she had been wanting to do this awhile already lol she ended getting to go twice because one of her friends changed her mind so she was laughing the second time around lol she’s so brave and crazy! It cost $25 per person and there are also go carts and mini golf but everything is sold separately and has to be paid for individually so I can add up quickly, but it’s definitely a cool spot to check out and your kids are definitely gonna wanna come here because all the bright lights on the rides when it’s dark outside are like bug zappers for kids lol they are just drawn to it definitely a cool spot!
Caren Q — Google review
Seriously over 10 workers , and we were the only 3 people inside the arcade, we asked 3 times, can someone help us with this game, we already put cash into , they literally looked at us and turned around and kept talking amongst each other . We played the one game with our son and left. Never again! And weve done the go carts before, those were fine.
Heather A — Google review
If you are looking for a few hours to have a really great time stopped by here. We play mini-golf have not done that in a while, but WOW we had a blast!! Go carting and the reverse bungee cord we had a blast!!!

Service was good. The girls at the counter were sweet… but these are the “Chicken Tenders.” **Update: They got me new tenders. Half of them looked golden/perfect. The other half looked the same. My son ate the good ones. So, 3 star for food.
Jaynalyn M — Google review
Bar Louie impressed me pretty well. Me and my wife ate here 3 separate times on our anniversary vacation and each time was delicious! Their chicken nachos are massive and very good, and their Cajun Salmon which also came with Shrimp, Asparagus and Potatoes were absolutely fantastic; it was the best salmon I have had in a while! (I personally ordered this twice). Their servers were always friendly and helpful whether dine in or carry out. The atmosphere is also very chill with music playing pretty softly allowing you to just relax, eat, and enjoy time with your company. This place will absolutely get my business again on our next visit to SPI!

Dairy Queen is a classic fast-food chain known for its soft-serve ice cream, signature shakes, burgers, and fries. With over 5,700 locations in 30 countries, it is the largest seller of soft frozen dessert products globally. The Grill and Chill concept has contributed to its success. I absolutely love that a DQ serves tacos. Back home where I'm from, our DQs don't have tacos.

What is better than ice cream after watching a very successful Starship 10 launch. Loved my banana split. Port Isabel is so great! Then, when I went to leave, I saw the coolest three level go-cart track. I love south texas!!!!

These employees need better communication. We were told to pull around to wait for our food. We waited for about 30 minutes for a single combo. We recieved the wrong order….😐🙄Went inside to ask for refund because at that point, we were too annoyed to even accept a remake, manager was hesitant to give us a refund, then finally ended up giving us refund.
Yovel — Google review
I want to give a big shoutout to this Dairy Queen today! My family and I were heading out of South Padre and stopped here for blizzards. We had some rougher experiences recently at other DQs, especially with how the blizzards turned out. We explained that to the sweet girl at the counter, and she listened and passed that along to her coworkers. Everything came out PERFECT, and the blizzards were mixed well! The communication was great, and we appreciated being heard. This looked like an awesome team at this location! Way to go. You all have a great summer out there!

love the staff and the food i come here most of the time to get my food when i take my lunch but they take a lot of time to come to take my order and i’ve seen it happen to other people and some of the staff just stare and then start doing other things even tho there’s a line and i have only a certain amount of time for my lunch .

The woman at the window was friendly and provided the extra napkins I requested. The wait wasn’t long and the food was hot and delicious when I returned with it to our hotel.

Terrible customer service. It took 25 minutes for them to orders complete. The tried to tell us they had already given us one of the orders. Do NOT recommend

Bar
Clayton's Beach Bar & Event Venue is a popular hangout spot on South Padre Island, Texas. It boasts indoor and outdoor concert venues, live music, beach volleyball court, and classic American food. The bar opens at 11:00 am daily, offering daytime fun and a vibrant nightlife atmosphere. While not open late into the night like other bars in the area, it's a must-visit for spring breakers with its claim of being the biggest beach bar in Texas.
Clayton’s is hands-down the go-to spot in South Padre if you're looking for energy, atmosphere, and oceanfront views. The service was quick, the drinks were strong, and the live music gave the place its signature coastal vibe. Whether you're in the mood to relax with a cold beer or dance by the water, Clayton’s delivers. Great crowd, solid menu, unbeatable location. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the island.
Benjamin H — Google review
Biggest beach bar in Texas? Absolutely lives up to the hype. Clayton’s is the spot if you’re looking for laid-back beach vibes with a side of live music, ocean breeze, and strong drinks. Perfect place to catch a sunset while vibing to the DJ or a live band. Food is typical bar grill—nothing fancy, but it hits the spot when you’ve been in the sun all day (try the loaded nachos or shrimp baskets). Drinks are strong, and the frozen cocktails go fast, so don’t sleep. Service can be hit or miss during peak hours, but the energy makes up for it. Overall, it’s a must-do stop when you're in SPI, especially if you're with friends or want that spring break party feel year-round.
Carisa — Google review
This place is huge. Could be a fun place in the evening when the sun goes down. We were there during the day, We had 5 people in our lunch crowd and only 3 of us got our food. Two of us never got our food. Had to ask for a refund. Our order got lost or never sent to the kitchen staff. Staff was not concerned about getting our food after we inquired about the food order. We asked 3 times with no result. Oh well! Two of us ate elsewhere!

When I saw the sign that said “Biggest Beach Bar in Texas,” it caught my eye — and Clayton’s really lives up to the hype. It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for laid-back beach vibes, live music, ocean breeze, and great drinks.
YMK W — Google review
Food was horrible. Rubbery shrimp tacos with no flavor at all. “Fajita” nachos were chopped beef and processed queso. Enjoyed the view and breeze.
Eric — Google review
I have no clue why this place has such good reviews. I went with my sisters, mom, and grandma and we all felt like we got ROBBED. The drinks tasted watered down and every food item was completely sub-par. “Shrimp cocktail” came as tiny thawed out-tasting shrimp in a soup bowl filled with cocktail sauce and frozen rubbery avocado (I’d specifically asked ‘how is the shrimp cocktail served? Does it come with anything?’ And was only told ‘with pico de gallo.’ Lies!) The fisherman’s platters had dry, overcooked fish, shrimp, and oysters and there was NO seasoning on them. Fries tasted like they had come out of the freezer and been cooked in a toaster oven yesterday — and were sitting on the plate waiting for us until they got ordered today. Also, there’s no way anyone was actually *cooking* anything so I don’t know why our wait was so long. The best thing we ordered was the guac and chips, which was highway robbery at $10 for maybe a 4-6oz styrofoam cup. But even so, we said it’s saying a lot if that was the best thing we ate all night considering that it was tiny and more of an avocado spread than a guacamole: no tomato, no lime, no cilantro, not even an onion! I would go here to sit and listen to music or head down to their beach. I would never spend my hard earned money on their food or drinks. We spent $15 per drink, $20 per fisherman’s platter, $10 “guacamole,” $15 shrimp cocktail.

Cool place to see a concert and hang put with friends, staff was cool, view of the ocean was excellent. Food was reasonably priced and decent, drinks were super expensive in my opinion, but tasty. Had a overall really good experience and would go back for sure.

We ate here three times on our week long vacation to South Padre. When we return next summer we will definitely eat here again. The service was great from Jacob. I got the green enchiladas all three times because they were so good! The chips and salsa they bring out are very fresh every time! Would definitely recommend!

Food was fresh, hot and delicious! Jose took great care of us as we are here for several days. The salsa was the best we've ever had anywhere.

We won’t be back. Our server was the best part about dining here. He was sweet & attentive. The food looked deceptively impressive upon arrival, but the complimentary chips & salsa was the best part of meal & it was ok. My half roasted chicken was dry & everything was flavorless, it literally couldve been improved easily with some salt or salsa over everything. My corn tortillas were hard & dry. My husband’s meal was slightly better. If you like quantity over quality, this is your place. My iced tea tasted like mildew & so did my husband’s water. Undrinkable. The tables & floor could use a good scrubbing. The colorful paint & decor do not hide that the restaurant is dirty.
M S — Google review
Food was alright, drinks were ok... not worth the price per the portion ratio in my opinion, salsa and chips were pretty darn good.... place was decorated awesome and it was a good dinner... not much to brag about... had a chicken chimichanga, birria tacos and seafood trio basket
Skulli A — Google review
Our favorite Mexican spot on Padre Island. The salsa is fantastic, the chips are awesome. The drinks come in a collectors cup and are made with a "solid pour". The food is also tremendous no one at our table had any complaints. We make it a point to visit here for at least one meal every time we come down and I plan to collect ALL the cups "infinity stone" style one of these days, though it'll probably take a few trips.
Brian W — Google review
The tortillas were rubbery, the Mexican rice was sweet (?) and the beans were just ok. Save your money, cause even the margaritas were bleh. I could not taste any tequila ☹️ the free chips they give tasted like they were cooked in old grease. Save your money. Go to Whataburger, at least you know you are getting junk food.
Caroline S — Google review
Don't go in there if you want quality.......there are best places in town.....only thing that I enjoyed was Piña Colada...so good.....food horrible...Chips are the worst ....i assume they fry them in old grease...I returned them ...and restaurants need an update about maintenance...look dirty...holes on the walls and even you can see mold growing....so I'll never be back...

Liam's Steak House & Oyster Bar is a charming chophouse that has been serving fine steak and seafood options since 2003. It is owned and operated by the Salazar family, offering elegant dishes such as oysters, filet mignon, king crab, red snapper Rockefeller, orange wine Gulf shrimp, and cedar-plank salmon. The restaurant provides a stylish dining space with a full-service bar featuring wines and cocktails.
Okay, here's a more concise version: Excellent Dining at Liam's in South Padre! I had a fantastic meal at Liam's Steak House on South Padre Island. The red snapper was the best I've had on the island – so fresh and perfectly cooked. The lobster bisque was also wonderful, and the coconut cream pie was a truly amazing dessert. Beyond the great food, I loved the atmosphere at Liam's. It was very mellow and elegant, making for a really enjoyable evening. To top it off, our waitress was outstanding and very attentive. For a truly satisfying dinner with delicious food and a refined ambiance, I highly recommend Liam's.

Hi we were on a family vacation and It was our last night at SPI and we wanted to make it special so we decided to go to Liam's. It was a party of 9 everything was going great the Food was amazing! Service was horrible! Had a very disappointing experience. Lack of empathy towards our questions and concerns, felt rushed on ordering the food, rude customer service, remarks underbreath rollin of eyes. I could just continue on and on on how terrible he served my family and I. When asking questions he would response with a horrible attitude and to top it off when I asked for a to go bag he took my plate with my $75 steak and came back and placed it on the floor next to me. I have never felt so disappointed and disgusted. It would have been a beautiful evening but our WAITER JOHN H just had to ruin it. The tab was over $300. We really wished we would have spoken up and asked to be placed in a different section. I honestly hope y'all do address him on this. This is no way to treat any paying customer. Especially on the amount of money spent in the restaurant.
Jazz V — Google review
We came about an hour before sunset, which would have been the perfect time to enjoy a table outside, but since no one asked if we preferred indoor or outdoor seating, we ended up inside. Thankfully, the hostess was kind enough to seat us by the windows, so we still had a fairly nice view as the light started to fade. The food overall was good, with the mussels standing out as my favorite—though I did wish the portion was a little larger considering the price. I also tried the Oscar filet mignon, which was definitely tender and flavorful, but the "Oscar" was nothing that really impressed me; next time I’d probably skip it. The boneless ribeye, on the other hand, was solid—it had a good texture and wasn’t overloaded with fat. For dessert, we went with the chocolate bomb, which tasted great, but the experience fell short since the hot chocolate sauce wasn’t really hot, taking away from the dramatic presentation I’d seen hyped in other posts. All in all, I’m glad we gave the place a try, but considering the price point, I don’t see myself coming back often. It felt more like a one-time experience than a spot I’d return to regularly.

Tonight, Liam’s Steakhouse & Oyster Bar on South Padre Island redefined what an anniversary dinner should feel like. I surprised my wife for our 14th wedding anniversary, and we left with full hearts and even fuller bellies. From the moment we were seated by the window with a front-row view of the sun melting into the Gulf, we knew this night was special. Angelina took very good care of us. Fresh hot bread and perfectly timed drinks. No rush, no fuss - just warm, buttery bliss to kick things off. I ordered the Ribeye steak cooked medium rare, and folks... I’ve had my fair share of steaks, but this one? Juicy, tender, kissed by flame, and seasoned to perfection. Pair that with the chipotle corn (smoky, creamy, a little heat) and a loaded baked potato so rich it should come with a security detail. My wife had a plate of lamb chops. Pure 5-star flavor fireworks. 💥 We capped off the night with a silky, golden Creme Brulee that we shamelessly destroyed together, spoon by spoon. Just when we thought we were done, the staff blew us away with complimentary strawberry shortcake, complete with a Happy Anniversary card. That’s hospitality with a soul. Every bite, every detail, every sunset-hued moment was unforgettable. We didn’t just eat—we experienced something beautiful. If you're ever in South Padre, do yourself a favor: go to Liam’s. My wife and I chose to sit outside. It was lovely and warm that Christmas vacation. Being from Wisconsin, it was about fall weather. lol The food was fantastic!! My wife tried the escargot for the first time and loved it! I had the filet mignon and lobster tail. Perfection. Can't wait to go back. Christmas seems so far away.

Dined here for my partners birthday. We wanted Crab claw meat they haven't had any for a month. So why is it still on the menu. Simple white tape over the menu item would have promted us to go somewhere else. From that point forward we were let down felt like we settled. The snapper cerveche was dry missing something the tortilla chips were boring. For my entree I ordered lamb chops. They were over salted. The best thing was the baked potatoe and the bread served when we sat down. My 3 pieces of asparagus were only about 2 inches of edible stems they were poorly cooked still too firm and 2/3rds of them were yellow and flat. Not edible. My partner was not impressed with his Broccoli they were under cooked he ordered shrimp kabobs for his entree which he can get anywhere. and the was disgusted with the price. Not worth the quality served. Overall I rate this place a 3 and we made a pact if they don't have items we want that are posted on the menu we're walking out. 3 more days in San Padre. Hoping its better from here on out. We enjoyed the patio and the sunset with a warm breeze.

Good spot for a date night on the island, great view of the sunset from the dining room. Oysters tasted great. Moved outside after eating to finish our wine. Would come back!

Decided to reserve at Liam’s after a girls night, the atmosphere was nice but we struggled when ordering and when paying. Service felt short from the very beginning up until the very end. Our server was unorganized and confused our checks multiple times. We felt rushed through dinner and were unable to enjoy our sit down time. The food also fell short as 3 of our friends had diarrhea and 2 of us were extremely bloated. One of the girls ordered the seafood primavera and the shells were broken in the pasta which could have been a choking hazard. Overall, I would not return as the service and food were not up to standard and we all got sick. The food was also extremely greasy.

Sea Turtle, Inc. is a non-profit organization established in 1978 and founded by Ila Loetscher, also known as the 'Turtle Lady.' The organization is dedicated to rehabilitating and releasing sea turtles while providing educational services. Visitors can get up close with the sea turtle residents at the research, rescue, and rehabilitation center on South Padre Island.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place and everything they do. Anytime I’m in the area I make the effort to visit and explore the area each and every time. This is a turtle sanctuary and hospital the work they do is paramount for our beautiful world. They’ve recently reopened after remodeling their hospital from a open air shack. The staff are all very knowledge and passionate in everything they do. They’re very good at ensuring people visiting have the best experience possible. Im glad to say I was there when It was just an open air shack. Now it’s such an amazing facility to help educate the public even further and give the best care to our turtle friends.

This 👏🏼 place 👏🏼 is 👏🏼 amazing! Adults and children alike, everyone should take the time to visit and learn about these beautiful endangered sea creatures. What Sea Turtle Inc does to educate us, rehab, and care for their long term residents is amazing. You can stroll at your own pace taking everything in. They have tanks with sea turtles of all varieties, stories behind why they are there, how long, what they are doing to care for them. Everything is visible to the public. From their feeding, habitat, to the hospital. If you have the time, they have an “education” schedule for each area where a staff member will provide additional information as well as feeding times. They have a lovely gift shop and many opportunities to “adopt” a sea turtle. #weloveyougerry 🐢 One of the few non profit organizations that you SEE the funds going back into the cause; from the turtles, the community, to the facility! Would definitely recommend!

What a cool place! I'm so happy the turtles are getting such great care there. It is heartbreaking to learn of the abuse some of the turtles have endured prior to being rescued. My husband and visited about 10 years ago. We were glad to see the expansion and innovations.

What a wonderful organization. $15 to get in and you can see all the turtle tanks, information, and hospital. It was amazing to see all the work they’re doing. There’s a lot of staff walking around too to answer questions. There’s also a walkway to the hospital where you can see native birds, crabs, and maybe even an alligator. There’s also a gift shop with shirts, stickers, postcards, ornaments, and lots of other gifts. There’s also a penny crusher!

Every year when I visit South Padre Island, one of my favorite stops is always Sea Turtle Inc. It’s such a special place filled with heart, compassion, and dedication to protecting these incredible creatures. I’m amazed by how much they’ve grown and how deeply they continue to educate and inspire our community. It is was bittersweet, when two of my favorite residents, Allison and Fred, are no longer with us. They touched so many lives and will be forever missed—but their legacy lives on in every turtle that Sea Turtle Inc. rescues and releases. Thank you to everyone there for the love and care you pour into your work. 🐢💚

I CANNOT say enough about this amazing establishment!!! What they do to protect and educate on the local sea turtle population in the area is amazing!! Pricing is perfect and if you arrive before 10:30am you can see them feed the resident turtles. ❤️❤️❤️ a great experience for the whole family!!

This is one of the preeminent sea turtle conservation places in the world. They have vets specializing in the five sea turtle species and maintain a number of large tanks with sea turtles that cannot be reintroduced to the oceans (due to injury, genetics or familiarity w humans). One exhibit is their effort to save 5000+ sea turtles from freezing during a cold snap in the early 2000's. Well worth a visit and donation.

Turtle Turtle. Other than a short grumpy lady that works there the place is awesome. She might be great but put her behind the scene or out in the field. I know y'all know who we are talking about. Quik questions I meant to ask while I was there. The flags that y'all use y'all could not find any material that is safer for the environment? People on the beach laughing at yall using plastic flags talking about how bad plastic is?????????? ❤️❤️❤️

The South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center is a beachfront sanctuary that offers a unique opportunity to observe local wildlife, particularly birds and alligators. Situated along the Laguna Madre Trail, it serves as a crucial rest stop for birds during their cross-Gulf migration. Visitors can explore the center's birding boardwalk, interactive exhibit room, observation tower, and five bird blinds to catch glimpses of numerous bird species.
We enjoyed visiting here! There’s more wildlife than I thought there would be. They have tortoises , alligators, and owls outside and reptiles inside. We fed the alligators and tortoises however the tortoises weren’t hungry when we visited them about 1 PM. There’s a nice gift shop and all of the staff was very friendly. My sister in law paid for my niece to hold a snake and an alligator. There’s also a three story watchtower that you can take an elevator to see a really cool view of the water. The only downside was the heat outdoors on the boardwalk that afternoon but it didn’t stop our fun 🙂 all in all this place was really cool!

I loved it here! The walk around was awesome. Lots of birds and random fish. The views were dope also they take pics with an alligator and a snake for 10 bucks. 12$ to walk and see the views for the day to come and go whenever you want.

So much fun feeding the juvenile gators & tortoises! Upgraded the experience and got a photo with a boa & baby gator. The man who we saw to hold them was funny, educational, and seems to have a passion for what he does. The boardwalk was nice and we saw some cool birds. Waited for Big Padre to take a breath lol and got to see him too. The observation tower was cool & there was an informational center on the second floor.

Awesome little gem, amazing kind staff.. Plenty of animals and displays on 2 floors inside main pavilion with a multi story tower to walk up with great views of the estuaries and bay on backside of island... large boardwalk through the mangroves with plenty of animal exhibits outside and viewing of wildlife in the mangroves and tidal coast... definitely recommend for families with kiddos or people who enjoy seeing animals and nature... prices aren't bad either, easily justifiable for the experience. Can pay a bit extra and feed animals or upgrade to adventure package...

We enjoyed the alligator presentation and we got to see Big Padre the 11.5 foot alligator they house there, and lots of little alligators. It was only $10 to get in. Overall, a really nice place. We could have stayed longer, but it was a super sunny day and I get overheated easily. Be sure to bring an umbrella if it's sunny!

Everything about this place was supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! We paid for a family of four and that also included my son petting the snake/alligators/feeding the turtles, it ended up costing us $47. The views were awesome to say the least. We saw Roseate Spoonbills, Great Blue Herons, Egrets, White Ibises, and many more shore birds. We also saw Big Padre for a good few seconds. He had just finished eating and dug himself under the sand, which I'm guessing he was putting himself down for a nap haha. We also got some good information from the employees. They have a beautiful gift shop too. There are many nice backdrops which offer great opportunities for photos.

We had an amazing experience here! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. We saw so many amazing birds, crabs, fish, alligators, etc. The walk8ng docks are in good shape, and the information provided at each shelter area was useful in identifying different species. This was the best part of our trip to South Padre Island. DEFINITELY RENT THE BINOCULARS! WORTH IT!

Isla Tours offers a unique experience with their party yacht, Murphy's Law, known for its amazing nighttime party cruises. The company is popular for its Friday and Saturday night fireworks cruises from Memorial Day to October, offering a dolphin watch and sunset views before the fireworks show. Additionally, they provide an Eco Tour & Dolphin Watch during the day, allowing guests to see dolphins and other marine life while enjoying wheelchair accessibility and professional crew assistance.
First time visit to South Padre, we didn't know what to expect. Was looking up dolphins cruise online and happen to come across a few. It was honestly luck of the draw why we chose them. COULDN'T be happier!! The captain was entertaining, and loved the knowledge and extra locations he pointed out. We got to interact with a "pirate ship" very comical. His shipmate and helper was sooo amazing!! He offered to take a family photo of my mom, daughter and myself. He pointed out things, and made sure we were aware. Overall so very pleased and will only use these guys in our future!!

Such a wonderful & breathtaking experience the staff were amazing, knowledgeable & so friendly. My family & I had a fabulous time & my grandchildren were thrilled with getting to see so many dolphins. Thank you all for such a great experience. We will be back.

Me and my family are visiting SPI from WV and took the sunset dolphin tour on 5/13/2025. We had such a wonderful time. Both the captain and his deck hand (?? sorry, I’m not familiar with the terminology) were extremely friendly and helpful, as I have a physical disability and needed the extra assistance getting on/off the boat. Throughout the tour, the captain ensured to keep those onboard entertained and engaged by playing music, telling jokes, and providing facts about landmarks, the island, dolphins, etc. We were able to see so much, including a beautiful sunset and so many dolphins. For the price of tickets, it’s definitely worth it!

My family and I have taken the Fireworks, Dolphin Watch, and Sunset Cruise twice and it was a great experience both times. My teenage niece claims it was her favorite part of the trip both times. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The views are beautiful and the atmosphere is fun.

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with The Original Dolphin Watch on South Padre Island, where you can witness the playful and feeding behaviors of bottlenose and spinner dolphins. Aboard the Double Sunshine, experienced guides provide insights into these magnificent creatures while cruising to Devils Elbow. This year-round activity guarantees a close encounter with dolphin pods in their natural habitat, offering an eco tour of Laguna Madre Bay for a comprehensive experience.
We had so much fun on the Original Dolphin Watch! Aside from dolphins, we also saw Great Blue Herons and Brown Pelicans! The hosts are very knowledgeable about the area. They also showed us Butterfly Rays and Pufferfish on this day. We even got to see a baby dolphin and that was the big highlight of the trip. I highly recommend this for some great family fun🐬🐬

We booked the sunset boat ride and it was absolutely magical! 🌅 The captain and crew were not only knowledgeable but also super friendly and approachable. They even let us pet a starfish they had caught earlier in the day, which made the experience extra special. Overall, such a memorable and relaxing trip — highly recommend!

We had a fun experience. The dolphin viewing wasn't necessarily mind-blowing (we did see a lot of them, mostly just fins), but it was an enjoyable excursion. The music was great and the staff was really friendly. Definitely worth the money.

What a beautiful experience! The crew was very knowledgeable and made sure everyone felt safe throughout the trip. We saw so many dolphins and were able to capture some great pictures of the sunset. Took a charter trip out to artifical reef for Red Snapper. Had a absolute great time. Our staff, Roy and Harley were outstanding! Great guys and definitely patient! They worked the crowd above and beyond. Can't really say enough good for these two. Boat was nice and kept clean. Great charter and a must if you're into fishing! We plan on a return trip and hopefully the same staff!

This dolphin watch was the best. The captain of the boat & crew were amazing. They were very informative & made the whole trip fun. You can sit up top or down where it is air conditioned. We will definitely go back to South Padre & go on The Original Dolphin Watch again. We highly recommend this fun trip.

We got to see tons of dolphins including baby ones. The two deck crews, Carlos and John, were attentive and provided a great service and made everyone feel welcome and safe. Captain did a great job providing lots of information about the maritime life and made the trip so enjoyable. Keep it up guys!

Isla Blanca Park, located on the southern edge of South Padre Island, is a vast motorhome campsite that offers access to pristine beaches, fishing areas, and nearby shops and restaurants. The park boasts over a mile of soft sand along the Gulf and is home to some of the area's best beaches. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as beach games, water sports, fishing spots, playgrounds, boating facilities, kiteboarding, and snorkeling excursions.
Hadn’t visited in some time, several years and we were pleasantly surprised and amazed with the makeover! Soo nice and modern! My hubby & I and 2 teens just had a little time for the beach and this spot was perfect! Beautiful location clean bathrooms! Alot of parking!

My husband and I stayed here for a few weeks in January and had a great experience. There is easy access to the beach and a nice boardwalk if you don't want to walk in the sand. Because we came off season, a lot of places were closed or had limited hours, but we enjoyed walking into town. There's also a free trolley that was really convenient. Checking in was a little confusing. We ended up at the guard shack and were told we needed to turn around and check in at the building on the corner. The bathrooms and park were well maintained.
Kelly D — Google review
We had a nice time here. Our site C193, had a great location near the sidewalk path and not too far from the bathhouse. The bathhouse near us had 2 separate rooms, one with 2 stalls and the other with 3 showers. The showers were large and made it easy enough to bath me and my daughter. They were pretty old and cracked though so that is the only complaint there. There was a code to get into both. The beach access, jetty, and lagoon area were enjoyable. The time we were there a lot of tar was washing up on the beach and we weren't aware of what it was and we had a hard time cleaning it off. The reason for the 4 star rating is because of the check in process and the entry into the park. We were never told check in was before arrival at the gate. The rude person at the gate then made us go back, which required a complete drive through the park as there was no way to turn around in our large RV. When we got to check in, there was a long line and it took over a half an hour. Each time we entered the park there was a long line at entry and it would be nice if there was a separate entrance for those with passes who didn't need to pay. All in all we had a great time, but those inconveniences made entering the park a hassle. Beautiful sunrise over the Gulf, sunset over the bay, and it's cool watching the large container ships through the canal

This was our first time to visit this area. The beach was great, full of families and clean. The peer was really cool to explore and to watch the launch of the SpaceX rocket. A treat indeed. I recommend this as the best viewing area for the rocket launches and for excellent fishing.

Great place for a motor home if you like beach life… yet the island is small enough you can enjoy everything else a great island has to offer. You can walk to a fresh seafood restaurant… margaritaville, pubs and bars, restaurants, fishing… whew! And then there’s spring break! And a great place to view Space X launches!
AgentsPlanet — Google review
Don't love that you have to pay to get to this area of the island. We went here for people to fish at the Jetty's and to see the statue. While waiting, some of us went to the beach. There are amenities at this beach that were nice such as showers and someone selling ice cream - but the location being so close to the Jetty's made the surf really calm and kinda boring compared to beaches further north that had nice waves. Good beach for little kids with an insane amount of seashells.

This is a large, very clean park with restrooms. We went there to watch a SpaceX launch and spend the day on the beach. There was a $12 charge per car.

🐬🛳️ I’ve been out with this cruise before years ago and took my son this weekend. Amazing trip. We saw lots of 🐬 & my son loved it. They drag a fish net and catch sea life & show you as they cruise through the bay. We got to hold a baby sting ray🪼 & my son was able to get to participate. (Unlike some events where it’s too crowded) The crew & captain were excellent. The boat has snacks & small refreshments 🍺🍷🍸🍹🥂🥤🧃. We will definitely be back. What an unforgettable experience! I took a cruise with my son to watch a SpaceX launch, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From start to finish, I felt completely safe and well taken care of. Captain Andy and First Mate Jaime were fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. They created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere while keeping everything professional and smooth. We took the 2-hour pirate bay tour today with Osprey Tours and had a blast! From the moment we stepped on board, the crew made everyone feel like true swashbucklers. We learned to talk like pirates and fight like pirates, and the kids even got to swab the deck (no plank walking this time, but still loads of fun!). The ship offered a full bar with tasty cocktails — I had a delicious piña colada, while our kiddo enjoyed slushy mocktails. Pirate Calypso was absolutely wonderful and looked every bit the part, while Anchors Away kept the kids (and grown-ups) entertained with games, dancing, and a hilarious water-gun gunfight. The treasure hunt was a big highlight, and our kiddo was thrilled to win the prize for most treasure found! We all earned fantastic mustaches, too. Mom & Dad even squeezed in some “marital counseling” by sword fighting each other — a silly and memorable moment. We spotted lots of birds, dolphins, and had fun yelling “Ahoy!” and waving to other boats passing by. The crew’s energy, humor, and attention to every guest made this a perfect family outing. We had a wonderful time and will definitely sail the seas with this crew again!

Visitors can enjoy their meals while taking in breathtaking views of the bay. The lively atmosphere and friendly staff make Pirates Landing a popular dining destination in Port Isabel.
Ambience is perfect with views to the ocean and bridge. Food was delicious. Loved that they have a magician that comes to each table to perform magic tricks as part of the experience for free from the restaurant. Also, they have a photographer take complementary photos with an option to purchase more photos if desired. The manager came by as well to make sure we were having a great experience, which is a plus. Outside of the restaurant they have different little fun things to take pictures with. We absolutely recommend visiting this restaurant to add a great experience to your visit at South Padre Island.

Came here for Dinner with the family. I have been here multiple times and the last visit was better than other visits. The food was great, as expected. Service was great as expected, but on this visit there was a guy doing table magic. Krookedhands was his business name. He came over after we ordered and were waiting for our food. Said there's no pressure as he's being paid by the restaurant to do table magic for customers. His card tricks and slight of hand tricks were fantastic! Kids were very entertained and my wife and I were as well. It wasn't hokey card tricks but rather top level stuff. He received a nice tip for the show he put on for us. Food came and it was delicious! I ordered shrimp tacos and ate 1 of the 3 before taking a picture. We will be back for more food and more magic tricks!

Me and my family always make this a stop when we visit the Island & the food never disappoints! I got the buffalo bird sandwich with fries. The chicken was juicy and crispy & the Louisiana sauce is a perfect touch but doesn't make the sandwich spicy at all. The fries are 10/10 though! Picture chik-fil-a fries, but, seasoned & perfectly crispy! Service was great as well!

Seafood restaurant
Sea Ranch Restaurant is a vibrant, two-level eatery offering a diverse menu of wild-caught seafood, steaks, and pasta dishes. With over 34 years in the business, the restaurant prides itself on serving locally sourced seafood from the Gulf that changes with the seasons. The upscale establishment boasts an extensive wine list and full bar, making it an ideal spot for a special night out.
We found this place about 4 years ago and return every year. Calamari is tender and flavorful. Order the crab fingers, they are served hot with garlic, lemon and butter. It's not on the menu as an appetizer, but they have it. It's served with bread to dip into the yummy garlic butter that is left after you finish the crab fingers. they have a kids food and drink menu. An extended wine list and cocktail menu. Part of the restaurant sits on the dock area to look out at the boats and fish in the nearby waterway. They have always been detail oriented and service is excellent. Main dishes are good and your portions are hearty.

First time here and I stopped to look at the huge Miro on the wall. My mouth was open in amazement, it's true I could not stop looking around. We came dressed comfortable, fancy place but very comfy. We were seated at a window seat, looking at the harbor from our table. Looking up I saw wooden carved fish hanging everywhere. Our waiter greeted us right away taking drink orders then bringing a basket of bread and butter. We ordered and our food was cooked to perfection. I do not eat much but wanted to try the Ahi Tuna with baked potatoes and side salad. This was the best tuna I've ever had. Perfect seasoning and cooked perfectly as well. My mom and dad had the scampi, shrimp kabobs with fish. They both loved their meals. I had a lot of food for the next day, I was going to order just the tuna as an appetizer but decided to order the meal, you get 2 sides this way. We left and took time to admire the paintings and gift shop. To my surprise there is a picture of "Here's Johnny" from The Shinning above the door going out. The girls at the desk got a kick out of me laughing, nice touch. What a wonderful evening, thank you for such a great experience.

We went to eat here on a Thursday for our 4th wedding anniversary. I of course did some research before going, I compared it to other comparable restaurants in the area. My wife is not a big sea food lover, so she would prefer steak. the view had to be spot on, and it wasn't going to break my wallet. When we stepped into the restaurant I had my reservations because I saw the small gift shop in front and several people wearing shorts. We came dressed up for the occasion, but when we walked in all we both saw was the view from the windows. The online pictures do no do this place justice. It was a great view of the bay and the boats at the dock. They sat us by a window without even asking us. My wife just stared outside that window the whole time, she may not like seafood that much but she loves being by the water. Our waiter was friendly and his service was also great. My wife ordered a martini and I ordered a bloody mary, both were delicious. I ordered the whole snapper and my wife ordered the filet. Both came out amazing and cooked to perfection. I couldn't of asked for a better anniversary dinner and everything was just amazing. We both left full and even took pictures from outside the restaurant on the dock side. Great place, great service, great views, good food.

It’s our first time on the Island and we came here because of the great reviews. I ordered the special and the presentation was beautiful. The scallops, shrimp and the rice were amazing. However the snapper lacked flavor, the asparagus were overcooked and the cream sauce didn’t pair well with the fish. The watermelon martini was really good. I really wanted to love it, but the special just didn’t live up to the hype.

Loved the artwork and sculptures in and around the restaurant! Food was delicious, service was friendly and professional. We had a nice view of the marina. Great nice dinner out on vacation. This was our fancy dinner for the trip, it was excellent.

we went in for my wife's birthday and food was exceptional. I ordered the cedar plank salmon and my wife the sea food enchiladas. Cocktails were good and service was great. Props to all the Chef and staff our visit was awesome😋

We went there 3 different times in 4 days!!! Crab fingers, snapper ceviche, Capt Skipper, watermelon martini, truffle cheesecake, coconut shrimp with both garlic mash & baked potato, seafood alfredo, key lime pie, peel n eat shrimp and seafood enchiladas....everything was awesome - food, service, Elisa(wait staff) and Jessica(bar) plus the gentleman who checked the price on the gorgeous - but whew $$$$$ painting. I loved this place!!!!
Dana A — Google review
This is our go to for our birthdays and anniversary. The staff are attentive, and go the extra mile for our special dates. The fish specials are always great but the snapper is a buttery delicious favorite and my husband a land lover has enjoyed the tenderloin burst with flavor and melts in your mouth. The plate presentation is excellent, the salads and bread are so fresh and the crème brûlée is the best ever. Enjoy the beautiful sunsets off the docks and stop and look and the fun jewelry too! And take a piece of key lime pie home. That’s great too!

Hamburger restaurant
The Burger Shack & Beer Garden is a delightful little establishment in Texas that offers delectable cuisine, excellent customer service, and a variety of delicious options for vegans and plant-based eaters. It can be quite challenging to find a satisfactory salad or vegan dish in the area, but this place truly hits the mark. One can order their satisfying #12 meal which includes a mouthwatering portobello burger accompanied by scrumptious golden sweet potato fries.
Delicious cheeseburgers, very fresh and yummy! not greasy at all! Which is a big deal for me. Many options … Was a little disappointed they did not have unsweet tea … just lots of sweet beverage options! Seems to be like it would be easier to make unsweet tea… and people could control how much sugar they put in… I switched to water. Cute place, been here a long time. Will go back! Delicious food!

I have been a customer of this little shack of restaurant since they opened 10+ years ago. Never disappointed in their food despite its curb appeal. This shack stands out from the more appealing tourist attractions and shops as it is built in-between two obviously separate buildings. The welcoming atmosphere and hustle of the women behind the counter is very reminiscent of your grandmother's kitchen; complete with one of the best burgers in the area.
Crystal L — Google review
I never write reviews but this place just really upset me. Burger Shack is a shell of what it once was under this new management. This place used to be a jewel of port Isabel offering delicious burgers and good island vibes. And now? You’re walking into a filthy and soulless restaurant. You can tell the only thing the new owners saw when they opened this place was dollar bills because they have cheaped out on everything while hiking up the prices. You used to walk into this burger joint listening to island appropriate classic rock and now you hear cholo rap blasting from the kitchen. If that’s your vibe… go for it. There is flies everywhere and you can see the lack of proper hygiene in the kitchen. The food is really lackluster. The burger patties are dry. They’re lacking in seasoning. The fries taste of freezer burn. I once made the mistake of ordering nachos here and it was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made in my life. They microwaved the nachos before handing them to me causing the cheese to harden and taste like plastic. I have never seen a restaurant fail at making a dish a child can make! This place is a stain on port Isabel and is only there so they can profit off of your hard earned money. Soulless and no passion. Just greed and filth. They completely ruined the legacy of the elderly couple who used to manage this place. Stay away. Give your business to the hard working people of Port Isabel and SPI not these mosquitos.

I have always wanted to come here and I'm so happy I got a chance to catch it when it was open! Ordered a gyro and was impressed! It was a good portion size & it tasted amazing! Service was friendly and attentive.

Burgers were juicy and seasoned to perfection. I’m not a burger person but the food was excellent and the service was great. Super friendly atmosphere. The front of the restaurant is tricky to the eye but just go in and let the ladies know your there and they will invite you into the open seating area located in the back and also a closed area for those who need a bit more chill while dining.

AMAZING Burger and Fries! MUY BUENO! Such a nice place and the food is FRESH. The family is so nice. Thank you for the great food. 😊

Our last night here and we were craving burgers, decided let’s try it. So yummy, the service was fantastic, our server was so kind and the atmosphere just felt super welcoming from the beginning. On top of that the burgers were cooked fresh and so tasty. Thank you so much 🫶🏽
Alejandra B — Google review
It's a shack with burgers. The 2 employees made the food to order. It's not all fancy, I mean the name tells you... It's a burger shack. The burgers are made fresh and had flavor. The fries are seasoned. The patio is just tables with chairs, but they do have a small room with A/C next to the bathroom if it's too hot for you. The food is good, but don't expect comfort in the patio if you're used to a fast food chain type of style. It's not 5 guys, it's not in and out, it's not checkers, etc...it's a burger made in a shack with a patio of random chairs, a sun shade, and some fans. Yes, it's outdoors, so you'll have flies. Again, it's a burger shack, just enjoy the burger.

Restaurant
Mahi Nic is a popular dining spot in the heart of South Padre, offering generous portions and top-notch customer service. While not classified as fine dining, this family-owned restaurant by the marina provides a laid-back atmosphere with a mix of appetizers, sandwiches, and refreshing drinks. The signature Mahi Mahi sandwich is highly recommended for an authentic experience. Guests can enjoy views of beautiful boats while indulging in fresh fish, shrimp, burgers, and homemade fries.
The burgers here are delicious and worth the drive to the island for them. We had ceviche as an appetizer, that was refreshing and delicious! But, the burger was the best of all. The bread is fresh and tasty as well. We've had fish tacos from here too, those also are delicious. The service is also top notch, and best of all.... they allow dogs in their patio. They even bring them a bowl with cold water and a dog bone treat.

Wow I can't believe I've never rated this place before! One of my must go spots for lunch on SPI. My favorite is the Mahi tacos of course, but the other options are so tasty. The fries are so huge and after a long day of work or play they always hit the spot. I love their pet menu, too! I love to travel with my cat so finding places that I can bring him is hard, but Mahi Nic goes above and beyond by including a pet menu! I ordered my cat a piece of chicken breast and they always make sure to leave it unseasoned and uncontaminated by things such as garlic and onions. Love the extra care they have for our furry family members!

Maji Nics is my go to for a special treat for me and my family. i’ve tried almost every restaurant and local eats but this is my favorite. The food is great , tons of flavor! You already know the food portions are enormous. My wife likes the mahi sandwich and my favorite is the mahi tacos and elote. My own little request is if they had draft beer. The beers i’ve been served are always cold and also reasonably priced, i just prefer a draft. I recommend this little gem to anyone in the area.

Completely outdoor dining. We always stop at Mahi Nic whenever we are on the island. We usually get the mahi sandwich which is really good but today we got the dockside nachos with Mahi Mahi. Wow, were these good. The atmosphere is dockside open air. Staff is very friendly. Feels like a family run restaurant. You really need to try them if you find yourself on SPI.

We stopped in for a late lunch. It’s a little odd to figure out where to go and where to order so - ASK. The service there was FANTASTIC! The staff is exceptional! The hostess, Janie, suggested a few items including their new Taco Salad. They substituted the meat with Mahi Mahi and WOW! I highly suggest it! We also had the Blackened Mahi Burger and their fries??? You won’t believe them until you try them! This is definitely the place to go! Five Stars

Food was delicious and the staff was so nice! We called ahead and although they don’t take reservations, they had a table set up for 13 of us. My chicken sandwich could have used a sauce and the set up for the restaurant was a little difficult to maneuver around but other than that we loved it. Kid friendly!! Difficult to find parking because the lot was packed.

We were looking for delicious food and we found it!!! Blackened chicken sandwich w/chipotle mayo & their signature homemade fries & blackened mahi tacos w/a side of elote! Phenomenal! Outdoor seating only, with a view of the bay and beautiful boats! Would recommend and go back. Had we found it sooner we probably would have eaten here everyday!!!

If you're looking for a laid-back dining experience by the water, Dirty Al's is the perfect spot to indulge in some mouthwatering Cajun-inspired seafood. This family-owned gem started as a bait stand and has evolved into a beloved restaurant since its transformation in 2003. Known for claiming the title of having the world's best fried shrimp, it offers an array of delectable dishes that highlight fresh Gulf Coast ingredients.
We had a very enjoyable experience here on a several visits. The food was very good and fresh. I don't drink alcohol, but the mocktail pina colada is like a dessert. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for authentic gulf shrimp or fish. It is expertly prepared and some of the best prices on the island.

I’ll be honest I wasn’t expecting much when we arrived. The decor along with the plastic tables and plastic silverware kinda put me off. But once we were seated we have a very attentive server who made great recommendations. He was very friendly and very patient. The food was good. The portion sizes were great for the money when I came to all the fried seafood baskets. My blackened fish was good they even brought the part with the bones in case I wanted to eat that. He definitely warned me though that there were bones in that tray of fish. I didn’t enjoy the salad as it was really a basic salad on the same plate as my fish. The snow crab was great, fresh and succulent. The margaritas were good and we even got to keep the cups. Overall, a good place to stop in if you’re coming back from a boat tour or leaving the Beach Waterpark. Very casual environment as expected in a beach town.
Cara S — Google review
We didn't enjoy our food. I ordered a blackened fish without realizing it would be a 2.3-pound giant, which ended up costing me $65 just for the fish😅 I hope next time they'll mention the size beforehand, so customers aren't surprised by what they get. The calamari was chewey as well. We didn't finish our meal. I feel like waste money for the foods we ordered. Sorry! I just being honest. Every person has different taste and thoughts. Everyone is not perfect i know but listening to a customer might help for a little change. Thank-you!
Avah C — Google review
It’s a locals “referred” favorite. I found it not so preferred. 1 fried snapper, 8 shrimp, 12 oysters, 2 Pacifico beers and a Mexican coke. $225 with tip. The oysters were pathetic. Stringy and not cut. A few were good. Snapper was tasty but it was $90. Shrimp with butter and garlic were very good. This would have been too much at half the cost. Seriously, go find a local Mexican joint. So much better and reasonable.
Terry H — Google review
Visited Dirty Als and the food was excellent. Everything tasted fresh! The only minor downside was that it felt a bit crowded, which is typical around 7 to 10 p.m. especially during the summer. Overall, I really enjoyed it. It’s a cozy little spot with great food and great prices. You can’t beat it! I recommend the blackened fish with sautéed onions, pnion blossom and the starter boiled shrimp.
Silvestre G — Google review
Excellent food. Fresh fish and prawns. Drinks were also good. Fries also fresh and crispy. Service was quick compared to the large number of customes served. Place was clean and atmosphere was good. We will definitely visit again whenever in back in town.
Irfan K — Google review
We spent 4 days in SPI and honestly, after trying multiple restaurants, we were let down every single time — until a local recommended Dirty Al’s. The first night we went around 8pm (their hours say open until 9), but we were turned away. To their credit, the manager gave us a free appetizer voucher to another spot nearby, which was a nice gesture. We decided to give it another shot the next day, this time around 6:30. We asked for outdoor seating but were told “no, I don’t think we have it,” which was odd since shortly after, another party was seated outside. That was a little frustrating, but once the food came out… it was worth it. The food was hands down the best we had during our entire trip. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. They don’t have a ton of non-seafood options, but there’s at least something for everyone. My husband ordered the whole red snapper — a bit pricey at $86, but honestly after all the disappointment elsewhere, it was worth every penny. Moral of the story: Go early so you don’t get turned away. Dirty Al’s ended up being the highlight of our dining experience in SPI!
Stephanie N — Google review
This is our second time at this restaurant. Last time was much better, but this time the food wasn't great, nor was the service. My friend ordered fried fish and they brought him fillets. Please don't say the whole fish. Explain honestly what the person is asking you. Last year's review: Excellent food, we loved the service, we were served by a very kind lady named Rosalia, always attentive to our table, we ate very fresh shrimp and fish. It was worth visiting this place. And the hot sauce they sell is excellent, I brought one home. We didn't see that there were tables outside, we would have loved to eat there.

It's my first time eating here and everything was outstanding. The food was so delicious. I recommend the mango shrimp ceviche appetizer. So delicious 😋 The service was great, and our server did an awesome job. Will definitely be coming back.

We waited 10-15 min for our drink order to be taken and and then another 5 to receive them. They were short staffed though you could tell, the waitress was extremely nice, you could tell she was just stretched thin. The food for the price was high conpared to how poorly it was made and of poor quality, we both got the surf and turf, the steak was $10 quality and the lobster was overcooked and rubbery unfortunately.. Great view, poor food, won't return

Food was really good and service was fast after they could get to us. It's a somewhat busy place, so prepare to wait a minute. The server was very nice, and with our crazy ass child that needed a nap, she was very patient. My only 2 complaints were the hard seats and the mean mugging boomers. All good though.

Dolphin Docks offers an unforgettable experience for vacationers with its largest double-decker sightseeing boat, Fish Tales, which can accommodate up to 100 passengers and is wheelchair accessible. This was a fun 4 hour experience! Just long enough to enjoy and catch some fish, and short enough to where my 8 year old still had fun! He would've dreaded an 8 hour fishing trip. The captain was fun and entertaining, and the deck hand Billy was great help.

We’ve been fishing with Captain Noe, Ivan, and the crew for years now, and they never disappoint! From the moment you step on the boat, you're treated like family. They keep the trip fun with great stories, laughter, and unforgettable experiences—like chasing dolphins, letting my 17-year-old take the wheel, and snapping the sweetest pictures of my twins at the captain's seat. On top of that, Captain Noe knows all the best fishing spots—you’re guaranteed a good catch and a great time. If you're looking for the ultimate bay fishing experience, look no further. These guys are the best in the business! 🎣🛥️🐬

From Sandy at the ticket counter to the ride and tour, everything was amazing! Our Captain /guide Noe gave us a great experience. We got to see so many dolphins, and the stories Captain Noe told about the area were interesting and funny! We definitely recommend it!

Port Isabel Lighthouse State Historic Site is the only accessible Texas coast lighthouse, featuring 75 stairs that lead to breathtaking panoramic views. Situated in historic Port Isabel at the southernmost tip of Texas, it is surrounded by the stunning waters of Laguna Madre Bay.
Great experience! Always have brought kids and have come as a kid myself back in 70s. It’s still so exciting and spectacular to come visit! Stairs going up not for those somewhat fit! Narrow stair well closer to top and final ladder! It’s gorgeous view but can and was windy on this day 3/12! Beautiful to enjoy and take lots of photos!

Nice, clean, well maintained lighthouse, that has the original architectural details preserved. This lighthouse is short with a reasonable number of steps for an adult or child (75 in total). The highlight is a beautiful wrap around outdoor catwalk at the top that allows 360 views of the area. They limit the number of people inside at one time to 25 which means you have plenty of room to enjoy your experience. Adults $5 Kids $2.5 They accept credit card Bonus - Free street parking in the area - a variety of nice gift shops and restaurants in the immediate area

The grassy area around the lighthouse is free to roam and walk pets (please bag pet waste). You can get photos in front of the lighthouse. $5 to climb to the top of the lighthouse. You can buy a ticket inside the lighthouse. I would be careful walking up the stairs and ladder at the top. Lots of cool photo opportunities.

So much fun! Great place to see learn some history and see great views! I have a fear of heights and normally am terrified of these things but I felt so secure I even looked over the railings. When I went there was no one there so I had the place to myself only $5 and the worker was so friendly

Visiting the Port Isabel Lighthouse was a bright highlight of my trip—literally and figuratively. The lighthouse itself is beautifully preserved and stands tall against the clear South Texas sky. It’s a peaceful, scenic spot that’s full of history and charm. I loved the walk up the hill and how it gave me a unique view of the area. Whether you’re into Texas history, coastal views, or just want a great photo op (trust me, it delivers!), this lighthouse is well worth the stop. And the vibe? Pure Lone Star magic.

Previous visitors have enjoyed both the dolphin tours and exploring the touch tanks and aquariums at Sea Life Center.
The actual building location is not open currently as explained to me by one of the employees due to COVID-19 concerns, which was initially disappointing however understandable. Their concerns are that people using hand sanitizer can't touch any of the animals as it could effect them. A quick phone call though set us up with a specific time to meet the boat at a specific dock within the channel that runs along Port Isabel. We met the Captain of a pontoon boat as another family was disembarking and quickly set out. Not even 5 minutes on the boat we saw dolphins. The captain was super encouraging to teach my kids on how to attract them closer. After a about 15 minutes with that one dolphin and learning more we set out to go further around the coast line. Pods of dolphins were everywhere and some of them got right up to the side of the boat, even if only for a fleeting moment. We cheered them on and saw one even do a flip out of the water. The best was watching one chase his lunch (small fish) and the fish was actually smart enough to hide behind the motor of our boat as the dolphin stayed back a bit. Highly entertaining. Lots of knowledge and experience with the crew that does this. Extremely personable and an amazing overall great time. We felt like we were on a close friend's boat doing this as we had such a wonderful day. It was only for an hour and it was a bit more costly than the bigger ships that load like 60 people on board but it was definitely worth every dollar spent. We will be going through this venue every time we want to dolphin watch here.

We've been twice. Three years ago, we went out on one of their dolphin tours. Amazing tour guide and guide pup. Incredible and fun experience. (I wish I had access to those pictures as I write this post!) This year we explored the touch tanks, aquariums, the information on the local/native sea life. And we had a blast getting to visit with their tortoise Domino.

My son wants to be a Marine Biologist whenever he grows up, and it was really cool getting the opportunity to interact with a big turtle! Not to mention at $3 a person, its more than feasible for a family of 4 whose vacationing. The exhibit was not too big, but educational nonetheless.

One of the coolest places we've EVER been too! We spent over 3 hours there with our 3 yr old and she had a blast! Its just a small little building but Sarah took her around to feed all the fish and critters. Sarah was full of knowledge of all the creatures and was happy to tell us all their little quirks and habits. Domino the tortoise was too cool too! Highly recommend ❤️

It's only a few dollars to go in, and my daughter loves the touch tanks. They have a good assortment of fish, including a pilot fish, puffer fish, and even a large mantis shrimp She also enjoys having the tortoise follow her around as well.

Me and my husband just had a fantastic dolphin tour with George. His wife Scarlett captains the other pontoon. They are truly the dolphin whisperers. The dolphins come right up to both boats following our wake and alongside almost entire time during 1 1/2 hour tour, in calm part of the bay. Highly recommend! Approx. 6 guests per boat so lots of room... you don't feel like a sardine like on those bigger dolphin boats. Very chill vibe, like going out with your buddy on the boat.

We had a great experience today! Quality time, new learnings, close dolphin sighting and our daughter learnt the importance of picking up trash with Captain Henry. We will be back next summer 👌

I went with my 2 best friends, my husband, one of my best friends' kids, & her husband. We all had a blast! I even enjoyed their Pina Colada 😋. It made me happy seeing my husband enjoying himself taking plenty of photos, and getting to see the kids join in on the fun. Definitely kid friendly, perfect for families! We got to see a mom & baby dolphin, & other adult dolphins! It has been years since I went on a dolphin watch, & this experience by far was way better! You definitely get your moneys worth of experience, would highly recommend! A great shout out to Luis for recommending this unique excursion, as well as the Captain for all their accommodations!! They had snacks, kiddie friendly drinks for the little ones like slushies. Definitely would bring my kids here!!

Highly entertaining for both kids and adults. We had a great time. Lots of information about surrounding area given, good refreshments and some dolphin watching. In addition, the crew was spectacular with jokes and entertaining education about pirate lingo.

This was nonstop fun from beginning to end!! I cannot express how much fun. There were water gun fights, dancing and dancing and more dancing, treasure stories and treasure hunt. Everyone got faced painted with pirate mustache. There were more games. Crab toss. Sword fighting. Had some pirate slushies!! IT WAS SOOO MUCH FUN!!! We will do this again!!

**An Unforgettable Experience – The Perfect Engagement Adventure!** We had the absolute *best* time aboard this pirate ship – it was so much more than just a fun ride. We actually chose it as the setting for our engagement photos, and we couldn't have dreamed up a more magical, adventurous, and meaningful experience. From the moment we stepped aboard, the crew went right into their wonderful performances without missing a beat to also make us feel like part of their family. Every single member was fun, professional, and genuinely excited for us. They went above and beyond to make the day special – helping with poses, holding props, and even cheering us on between shots. Their energy was infectious, and their kindness made the whole experience feel incredibly personal. The ship itself is stunning – beautifully maintained, full of charm, and packed with little details that made our photos come to life. Whether you're looking for a unique backdrop for a special moment or just want to enjoy a truly one-of-a-kind outing, this is the place to do it. Thank you to the incredible crew for making our engagement photoshoot something we will treasure for the rest of our lives. You helped us capture our love in the most epic way possible! — Michaela & Bones

Tex-Mex restaurant
Restaurant
Manuel's is a cozy restaurant adorned with Texas memorabilia, offering a laid-back atmosphere and serving up casual Mexican dishes, burgers, and breakfast options. Despite its small size, the place boasts a large menu for breakfast and lunch. The homemade salsa is particularly noteworthy. Located just behind Main Street to the bridge, Manuel's tends to be busy with only 14 tables available and often has a line during meal hours. Cash is the only accepted payment method here.
OMG my mouth was so happy! The flour tortillas are handmade fresh, and clearly all the ingredients are fresh and high quality. It was so good I nearly forgot to take pictures. I had the chorizo egg tortilla, hubby had steak and eggs, kid had French toast! It's really worth the visit. Oh, and the coffee cup never made it midway. It got constantly topped off.

Went for breakfast on a Saturday. Long wait but worth it. My teenager ordered 3 breakfast tacos. The waiter smirked and said we'll revisit after the first one. Needless to say we never had to revisit the issue!

This place is behind Main Street to the bridge. Small place - maybe 14 tables and always a line. Only takes cash. Meals made fresh so expect a wait for your food... and expect a wait for a table if you go during “meal” hours. Serves breakfast all day as well as Mexican dishes. Their hot sauce is hot and you can buy a pint for $5. Chips are the crisp ones - not greasy. Order something with a tostados as they are fresh and huge. I got the chili rellenos and my husband got the low carb omelette. Both were excellent. Service was friendly and attentive for a busy place. BUT do expect wait for your food. No frills - just tasty! UPDATE. If you are really hungry go for the ConTodo - several varieties: beef, chicken or shrimp. YUM

Such a cool place! The tacos are huge! My wife and I split one. We were full! Manuel too our order and advised us to split one. This is the largest taco I've ever seen. Payment is cash only.

So our awesome waiter from Blackbeard's recommended Manuels for breakfast. Our last morning on SPI we drove across the Causeway to eat breakfast in Port Isabel. It was so delicious and affordable! Such friendly owner and Hope was an amazing server. They have huge breakfast tacos. Everything was great, even the coffee. See pictures.

Oh WOW. That has to be not only the largest but also the best breakfast taco I have ever had. Friendly staff and it's also a joy to see the tortillas made fresh in house. I cannot wait to visit again, I have already recommended to all my friends and family.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! The people are some of the friendliest I've ever met and the service was absolutely terrific. Now, the food..... Come here prepared to feast. The tacos are massive. The pancakes were huge. Everything was delicious. We will be back, but we will be splitting a meal next time

The unassuming motel offers straightforward accommodations with Wi-Fi, a pool, boat ramp, and dining options. The waterfront restaurant choices include Pelican Station, Pirate Landing, Harborview Restaurant, or the deck at White Sands. White Sands Bar & Grill is highly recommended for its friendly staff and excellent service. Their menu includes fresh and perfectly fried dishes like Fried Oysters and Coconut Shrimp with homemade Coconut Sauce. The shrimp dinners are tasty with freshly made sides and generous portions.
I visited with a group of veterans recently and had an amazing experience. After a 2.5 mile ruck to benefit the P.I. Food Pantry, we were in need of some comfort food to recover with. This place definitely delivered. The servers were amazing, as was the food. A large group of veterans can get a little, the servers kept pace and then some. Overall, it was a great experience. Looking forward to coming back!

NO LONGER THE SAME! I recently went to White Sands restaurant in Port Isabel and I could not have been more disappointed. I had been there several times before, but the last time I went was a little over a year ago and it was completely different. I ordered the fish and shrimp special (on a Friday) thinking that it would be like it was the last time I was there. However, I was shocked when they brought out the tiniest basket with the tiniest portion of food I could imagine. The two tiny fish fillets were about 1 X 2 inches each and the 4 so-called jumbo shrimp were not exactly very jumbo. I mentioned to the waitress how small the portion was (in comparison to the last time I was there), and she just rolled her eyes and walked away. I literally finished this "meal" in a about 3 minutes and got out of there fast after they took my eleven dollars! Also, the taste of the little bit of food I got was very bland- not much flavor at all to any of it! Immediately after leaving this place, I went to the nearest Jack-in-the-Box and ordered a fish sandwich (among other things) for $2.99 and it was EXACTLY the same size as both of the fish fillets at White Sands combined!! I will definitely not ever go back to this place! Such a shame that they no longer care about their customers! By the way, of course they have larger portions if you do not mind spending 30 dollars for lunch. If you are not on any kind of budget, then by all means give them your money, but for me, this will be my last time at this place. There are plenty of other restaurants to choose from.

It’s an older restaurant and motel but who cares. New owners have renovated the place and has made the place much better. Rooms are reasonable and the restaurant has great food. We left the restaurant full fools. Owner/ manager is awesome and he is putting his blood, sweat, and tears into the business. A great place to stop at.

I enjoyed our stay here! Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Location is perfect and affordable given the area. Walmart and HEB are down the street, only 10 minutes from the beach! Restaurant and marina on site!

Place to stay, has a restraunt and bar . boat slips and sell live shrimp and has all fishing supplies you may need for a fishing trip. pet friendly also. love the place so much i stay once a month and even twice some month to do my fishing . highly recommended place .
Diligence C — Google review
We booked a kitchenette for an extended stay as my husband is working at SpaceX, the rooms are not what they show on website they are absolutely filthy rundown; extremely outdated and roach infested, they only offer cleaning once a week, location and other patrons are loud and inconsiderate and the staff is absolutely hateful. The sink in the bathroom was stopped up and they refused to fix it, water pressure is terrible and there was at least a years worth of dirt caked around all of the baseboards, grubby fingerprints all over and food staining all of the cabinets. Oh and the mini split A/C didnt work in 90 degree weather. There was consistent mariachi music and people partying. When we asked about reserved parking near our room the receptionist brushed us off and the next morning we woke up to a suspicious leak in our back driver tire. My husband is working nights and we were rudely woke up nearly every day by staff banging on door. We were loudly awoken and informed we had to leave because the main lady booked our room out from under us despite us telling her from the beginning we would be a long term stay. When we confronted her about it she told us we didn't tell her we had intended to stay long term, despite us doing just that every occasion we spoke to her. So we were pushed out when my husband was suppose to be resting and had to quickly find another place. The low price is there for a reason this place and service is the worst I have ever experienced. If you're a fan of mariachi music, dirt, and terrible attitudes stay but if you prefer country music, cleanliness and a good attitude do not stay! The only reason we looked past all of the above was because it allowed us to cook for ourselves instead of relying on fast food. I only put one star because it wouldn't let me put zero. Spend a little more money and go elsewhere.

Marcello's Ocean Grille & Spirits is a restaurant that specializes in Gulf Coast cuisine, steaks, and housemade pasta. It offers an outdoor patio where guests can enjoy fine dining experiences and drinks. The menu features dishes like the 24-ounce cowboy ribeye, which is perfectly cooked and delicious. While the prices are not cheap, the overall experience at Marcello's is worth it.

Well, Dirty Al bought this place out and made the current owner a deal she couldn't refuse. This restaurant will be closing its doors very soon. Needless to say, I really hate to be a downer, but holy crud. Today was completely horrible. The service was incredibly lacking. Zero refills on ice tea and coffee. $60.00 and didn't even order alcohol. The food was ice cold . Its like nobody knew what to do! We have eaten here numerous times. Today was a complete Poop show. It's a shame, this restaurant is normally very good We shall see what Dirty Al has up his sleeve. Plotted. Scouts Out.

Awesome place to eat. They staff is great and very accommodating. One person in our party wanted a drink that was not on the menu. Our server made an off the menu suggestion which turned out to be great. Food is amazing. We made reservations which I would suggest if going on the weekend for dinner. Dress is casual. We will definitely eat here again on our next trip to SPI. Pictures are of the Diver Scallops w/Rissoto and Shrimp Carbonara.

Had a wonderful dinner in this newly remodeled restaurant with new menu. The restaurant has been redone in pale gray blue and white tones. Nice outside area that faces the lighthouse. We started with an Italian margarita- excellent and the complimentary bread - focaccia- fresh and great herb mixture. Then we tried the Rockefeller’s trio which was a yummy mixture of shrimp, lobster, oysters, spinach and bacon. Not a lot of oysters or lobster but tasted wonderful - can get without oysters. I had the 16oz rib eye which had a great smoky flavor; came with potatoes and steamed vegetables with soup or salad choice. We both choose the corn chowder which was creamy with a hint of chicken. Husband had the seafood crepes - which was light stuffed with seafood and a creamy sauce that did not overwhelm the seafood (shrimp, crab and scallops). We also had the molten chocolate cake which was more than enough to share. Comes with ice cream and chocolate sauce. Restaurant was quiet. There is a bar to the right when you walk in as well as the outside seating. While we were there a family came in so high chairs were available. Prices were in the higher mid range with dinners running from $15 to $30. They accept credit cards. We were seated at the window facing the lighthouse. The restaurant is located on the Port Isabel square right off the main road that leads to bridge. We went back for Sunday brunch. They had nice soothing music in the background and different menu. I had crab cake eggs Benedict with lobster sauce which was very yummy. Adam has chicken and waffles with Maker’s Mark sauce. All was yummy with good service and still a great view of the lighthouse. Came back again for lunch for the lobster roll. Lobster is flown in fresh daily and the roll is soft and delicious. I get it with fruit but it comes with fries or chips. Ate outside so nice

Had an excellent dinner her with my wife. The meal started with thick, warm, fluffy, complimentary garlic bread that was excellent. We started with the Spinach & Artichoke Al Forno that was served with dipping bread; it was also very good but the flavors were a little subdued. I then got the crab bisque soup and my wife the salad with Italian dressing. The bisque was phenomenal, and while her salad itself was very underwhelming, my wife loved how tart their dressing was. For the entree I got the Pecan Crusted Salmon which was an outstanding blending of flavors with the fish, pecans and coulis. My wife got the Chicken Picatta and really liked the dish but thought the sauce could use a little more zest. We finished the meal by splitting a slice of tarimisu that we enjoyed. Overall the service was good but there was a long wait between finishing our meal a getting our check (10+ min), in which our waitress came in and out of the room three times ignoring us.

Causeway Bar & Grill is a delightful spot that perfectly captures the laid-back vibe of Port Isabel and South Padre Island. With its bohemian ambiance, this cafe offers an inviting atmosphere that's hard to resist. Guests rave about the scrumptious steak salad and unique coffee options, like the spicy Mayan Mocha, which packs a flavorful punch with ghost pepper and cayenne. The back patio provides a serene escape for those looking to unwind while enjoying their drinks or meals.
This was such a chill café with amazing food, great service and a bohemian ambiance that it made it hard to leave. They had Karbach BBH on tap and on a Sunday was $2 off any draft but also have a fill bar. Their steak salad was scrumptious and their coffees had a kick, specifically the Mayan Mocha that is infused with not only ghost pepper (menu says jalapeño but the guy corrected it) but had cayenne sprinkled on top for a nice kick! Their back patio is a nice size and relaxing as well. Will definitely be back especially since they close at 2am.

This has to be my favorite place to go when I'm in Port Isabel or headed to South Padre Island! The relaxing, inviting atmosphere---paired with great coffees, beer, and other beverages---make for a great place to just surf the net, journal, sketch, or simply stare out their front store Windows into the picturesque scenery around. I visited the cafe twice on my most recent trip to this part of South Texas! Michael was super helpful to help me on both of my visits. He helped me narrow down my drink options to what might suit me: A craft beer to try on my first visit, and a great iced coffee to try on my second! If I lived closer to this neat Cafe, I would be there at least once a week---probably more! As I sat and enjoyed my experience on both visits, I noticed the amount of local residents coming in and out of the cafe for takeout. That's always a good sign!

Catholic church
Our Lady, Star of the Sea Catholic Church is a beautiful and historic church located in South Padre Island. Dating back to 1881, it features stunning architecture and a highlight is the exquisite seashell sculpture behind the Madonna and child statue. The exterior boasts a charming grotto for public adoration, while inside, visitors can admire the intricate stained glass windows and artwork. Despite its small size, this church has stood strong through storms.
Went to see Our Lady, Star of the Sea Catholic Church it is truly a beautiful church. The first thing you'll see is the grotto on the outside, which is absolutely precious. It is open to the public for a little adoration time. The stained glass in the windows is beautiful as well. The artwork to the glass windows is just gorgeous to see. The church is small, but I'm sure it has weathered some storms and is still standing strong. It is a privilege to see such an amazing Church and wonder of the history it has gone through.

Arturo Galvan Coastal Park

4.4
(176)
City park
Arturo Galvan Coastal Park in Port Isabel is a great spot for outdoor activities. The park offers picnic areas with grills and tables, as well as public restrooms nearby. It's a smaller park but perfect for fishing, picnicking, and enjoying the playground. However, visitors should be cautious of the eroded cement used for erosion control and rusty rebar sticking out of the water.
I love this park! Not only does it feel safe but peaceful. Super nice views. They also have a really nice playground with restrooms and you can fish!
Angie — Google review
Maybe because it was a December evening, the park was fairly empty. You can get a view of the bridge to south padre island from here.
Smitha S — Google review
I'm here waiting a hour past opening so I can try fishing this spot opens 6a.m. it's now 7:02 and I'm missing out on fishing time cause this gates still closed. Whats the point of having a gate and lock with a schedule if they don't open on time. Been up since 2 so I can fish this spot at 6 when they open so it's very frustrating just being parkd here.
Michael G — Google review
Today was the first time at this park and we loved it playground is very sturdy and feels safe was not worried about letting my little one play. It was also very clean and peaceful 10/10 would recomend for families.
Gonzalo S — Google review
It's nice but they use broken up cement for erosion control and the cement has rusty rebar sticking up out of the water. There's warning signs about walking in the water and it should be heeded because it's pretty dangerous. We were going to go fishing but we didn't want to walk in the water to cast out farther because it looked dangerous. They have flush toilets a nice playground for kids and a nice picnic shelter!

Update: Sept 2022. Park is open. Nice place to visit. Currently the park is closed due to infrastructure improvements. Once finished this park will be one of the few free access points to the bay open to the public.

Helpful and friendly staff. The ceviche with homemade chips was fantastic. Both fish and shrimp tacos were delicious and not dry or overcooked. Hush puppies were a pleasant surprise, way better than expected! The whole experience was legit. Great job!

Stopped in on a Friday evening on our way to SPI. Had a delicious meal, Ceviche was fresh and served promptly. Also enjoyed a 4 meat plate with fresh coleslaw and hush puppies. All the items were flavorful and enjoyed every bit. Carlos, our server was great help. Recommend you try it.

Stop by for a late lunch. Felt great to get out of the heat. The sweet tea really hit the spot. I ordered the special, breaded shrimp with a side of fries and coleslaw. The shrimp were good but what really caught my attention was the cocktail sauce. It was very good. I drenched all of my shrimps in it including the fries. My goal now is to replicate that sauce. The price for the special was just as good. Thanks Tortugos…

We really loved it here. Everything was super fresh. We had crab cakes and shrimp po-boys. The seafood soup to start was a great beginning to an amazing meal. We are planning on going back tomorrow before we leave town.

Had dinner at Los Tortugos in Port Isabel, South Padre, and it was a seafood feast to remember. From mouthwatering platters loaded with fresh catches to a just-caught red snapper grilled like a dream, every bite was pure bliss. The lively vibes made the night even better, highly recommend if you’re ready to treat your taste buds.

Stopped in for fish tacos on a Sunday. The place was crazy busy but we were texted when our table was ready, which was nice. Fish tacos were spectacular! Full of flavor and good portions. Toppings were plentiful and sides (beans / rice) were flavorful. Also got a shrimp and fish ceviche, which was very good. Great acidity and adequate portion sizes, even for sharing. Be aware that the restaurant can be very noisy inside though, but don't let that deter you from some killer fish tacos!
Christina M — Google review
Order the ceviche with fish, shrimp and calamari it is delicious! I’m a lime addict meaning I have to squeeze so many limes to my ceviche but here I don’t have to. The intense flavor of lime on the ceviche is fantastic. This is the only ceviche I’ve ever had that tastes this good. This place is a restaurant and a seafood market. If you are headed to beach and would like to pick up ceviche to go. You can pick it up next door at the seafood market. I recommend everyone to give this place a try.

We were on the island for the weekend chrome in the sand event and wanted to try a good seafood restaurant. It took them a minute to seat us. They do give you chips and a little soup while you wait for your food to arrive. For appetizer we got the oysters on the half shell which I dressed up. Oysters were great! It was a Friday so the seafood soup was on the board which I ordered and it was filled with so much seafood it was amazing! My boyfriend ordered the number 4 plate with fish, shrimp, oysters, and calamari. His plate was very delicious also. His plate was fresh fried so he gave me some to taste and the calamari was so good I wish we ordered some for the appetizer. They have a fresh seafood market there you can buy your fish and they will cook it as well. I highly recommend this place. Next time we come again to the area we are going again to this quaint local restaurant.

Church's Texas Chicken is a popular fast-food chain known for its delicious fried chicken, mouthwatering sandwiches, and flavorful wings, all complemented by Southern-inspired sides. On my first visit to one of their locations, I was delighted to find that the chicken tenders and biscuits were served fresh and hot, making for a satisfying meal experience. I walked in excited and pumped for some chicken and fries. Me and my friends were about to get a 8 peice but we were skeptical so we got a 2 piece. When we got the food we were very excited and so when we sat down and started to eat we discovered that the chicken was undercooked and raw. The fries were tasteless, and the sprite didn't taste like sprite. We've never had an experience like this happen to us before in the past similar to church's This was our first time in Churches and I do not recommend.

23 minutes to complete a walkin order watching as online orders were completed before my order. 2 times the cook delivered hot fresh cooked chicken to the window only to be put into containers, set aside for customers to arrive. I stood patiently watching orders sit in the window. 23 minutes later with no more orders on the screen, mine was completed. Lesson: order online.

Not quite as popular as Port Isabel Lighthouse State Historic Site, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

It is a very good photo opportunity if you want to click a picture with the sign. It's located in Queen Isabella Memorial Park. It's a very small park, and there is a walkway leading you to the sign. There is street side parking available.

Came on a Friday around 4pm there wasn't anybody there, so it was nice to be able to take pictures freely, and we were also able to walk around and enjoy the path. Theu have monuments with historical information on them. We enjoyed learning something new about the island itself.

The first thing that you see when you arrived in South Padre Island is this giant sign! Great to stop by and take photos with your family, friends, or partner! ♿️✅ : ADA wheelchair friendly. Parking on the street, could be limited if there is traffic. ‼️

A must stop to get a photo to prove you were there! There were several people in front of us that had multiple pictures to take so remember to be patient and kind. We offered to take the photo of the family before us and they returned the favor by taking ours. I think we were there a total of 5-10 minutes. It’s a popular photo spot.

If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure on the water, look no further than Osprey Fishing Trips! With local expert captains at the helm, you can expect a thrilling experience filled with plenty of bites and big catches. Guests rave about their time aboard the Galloping Clam, where families enjoyed catching multiple fish while soaking in stunning views that included dolphin sightings and even glimpses of the SpaceX facility. The crew is known for their exceptional service—always ensuring everyone has fun and feels safe.
We had an awesome experience on the Osprey fishing trip!!! A bite every time we dropped a line! So much fun! Our Captain Brian was great, very helpful and made our trip safe and fun. Our first mate Grant was exceptional! Grant went out of his way all day helping everyone on the boat! Always answering questions and making sure everyone was having fun! So very considerate to everyone and made sure my 9 year old caught fish no matter what! So very happy we decided to book with Osprey Fishing! We will definitely be back! Thanks guys!!
Heather W — Google review
Stay away from these people. Like the other comments have stated these guys are idiots. I booked a trip about a month out. Flying in my in-laws and I asked over the phone what happens is you don’t have enough people can you confirm that we will still go out. They condescendingly replied. We will have enough. I asked are you sure. I told you we will. The day before they called and said they have to cancel and we can go out the two days later. Which wasn’t an option because we had booked another fishing trip for that day. They didn’t care that we were upset. No remorse. We had 7 in our party. Luckily we were able switch dates with our other planned trip. Now when we get on the boat they had their friends who were riding for free. Take our spots and initial rods. I complained and they ignored my request. NEVER AGAIN. SCREW THESE GUYS.
Erik G — Google review
Bay fishing for 3 hours on the Galloping Clam was worth every penny! I thought we wouldn't catch much, WRONG! We caught a several fish each and the crew went out of their way to make sure all 3 of my kids caught a fish. And many more bites and fun rigging poles with shrimp bait. We even had multiple dolphin sightings and saw the SpaceX facility in the distance. Captain Andy and his crew were great.
Eric L — Google review
Old Boat, no stabilizers, weird smell On the AC cab, old Rods, took 3 hours to get to the spot, then 45 min fishing and came back to the dock, extremely slow cruise
D E — Google review
The bay fishing trip in my opinion is not worth it. We go to the normal spots other charters go to.. we go to waters that are probably 6-9 feet deep and catch fish anywhere from 3”-13”. It’s a good trip for a family who’s just wanting to take kids out on a boat but not for anyone who’s wanting big fish. It was our group and two other groups who caught fish.. everyone else didn’t catch anything. Tough day for fishing but I wish the charter would make it a better experience by choosing different spots instead of the usual spots. We did get to see some dolphins and we didn’t have to pay for that so that was cool!
Marco — Google review
Very nice crew, safety is first! Early morning fishing for the day, caught our limit in one location! Never had to move to find enough fish!

Beach
Isla Blanca Beach, located at South Padre Island, is a beachgoer's paradise with its mile-long stretch of golden sand and turquoise waters. The beach offers over 600 RV sites for visitors to bring their trailers or campers. It also provides various amenities such as waterfront pavilions, restaurants, and clean shower facilities. Additionally, visitors can partake in activities like offshore fishing, snorkeling, parasailing, and even enjoy watching SpaceX launches from the beach.
Super clean, clear, and BEAUTIFUL. 10/10 best spot to chill at the beach. Entry was 12$ CASH at the gate to get in or card inside the building before the gate. They are not affiliated with the .gov beach pass. They take payments directly - nothing online! This is near the jetties and did have a red flag out the day we went - we could feel how strong the current was; we just didn't go out further than hip deep. Not a drive on beach ⛱️ Lots of parking space, walk to a spot on the beach, and the boardwalk has rinse-off showers! Big plus!
Allyssa A — Google review
The beach would greatly benefit from improved traffic management. Having staff or law enforcement on standby to direct vehicles would ease congestion and reduce unnecessary delays. With its growing popularity as an international destination, efficient traffic control is essential to enhance the visitor experience.

The water is cold but it feels great after the first dip. It was super packed but there is a lot of parking available. The drive over the bridge took 20 minutes but it was worth the wait to see the sunset. The showers were clean and a well maintained beach. Parking was $10 Will definitely be back.

We had an amazing experience with our group of 12 plus 3 young kids and 2 babies. The food was phenomenal, service was exceptional, and live music was the icing on top. Plenty of room on the main deck and up front with the large hammocks. We were able to keep babies under the shade and comfortable while older children were able to ride up front and watch dolphins. BYOB, so we brought ingredients for mixed drinks in large ice chest. The crew was very accommodating-helping with iced cups for our drinks, taking trash, serving food, and overall great customer service. They went above and beyond to make our excursion amazing!

We rented a cart for 24 hrs. I guess you can’t do 48hr rental at one time so you have to go back and renew the contract. We got a 4 seater cart and it was ok. It was in good condition, no rips in the seats. There was a lot of backfire on our when we got to cruising speed. Sandcastle Lessons on South Padre Island offer the opportunity to learn from professional sand sculptors and create stunning masterpieces using only sand and water. The island's impeccable sand quality allows for some of the biggest and best sandcastles, making it a perfect destination for both kids and adults to hone their skills. Whether you're looking to build a Disney-like castle with multiple towers or simply want to elevate your beach experience, these lessons provide an artistic approach to enjoying the sun, sand, and surf.
We bought Andy’s Ultimate Epic Sandcastle Kit directly from Andy during our vacation in South Padre Island. Andy was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. My wife and I made two sandcastles during our stay and had so much fun making memories that will last a lifetime. I highly recommend Andy’s tools (and videos/lessons). They gave us everything we needed to make professional-looking sandcastles that made quite a few people on the beach stop to admire them.
Joshua S — Google review
Building sandcastles with Andy was the best part of my trip! I have been coming to the island ever since I was a little girl, always trying to build the best castles, but I never knew the science behind it. Andy takes the time to explain the technical aspects behind castle building in a way that is fun and approachable. Our group of 4 signed up for the 10 and under class and had the BEST time! I even went back the next day and tried to build my own with all the tools and knowledge I gleaned from Andy. I highly recommend his class!
Brittney S — Google review
Best day on the beach EVER! Andy is an awesome teacher - take this class and look forward to a lifetime of castle building!! The thing I liked best is Andy teaches you the EASY way to build GIANT castles - anyone from 5 years old on up can learn this! Thanks Andy for teaching us to build the sand castles of our dreams😁🏖️
Mary T — Google review
We had an incredible team-building activity with Andy Hancock for our group of 35 at South Padre Island. Andy was communicative and flexible from the start, working seamlessly within our schedule. His demonstration mixed storytelling, science, and technique—delivered with humor and playful energy that had everyone engaged. After the demo, he circulated among teams offering personalized sculpting tips and design advice. Each participant got their own toolkit to take home—such a nice touch. For event planners seeking something memorable and genuinely fun: this delivered. Worth every penny.
Lisa T — Google review
Andy shared some amazing techniques that really leveled up our sandcastle building skills! We did the entry level lesson and my 8 yo daughter loved it! He also let us borrow some of the tools for the rest of our trip. We got so many compliments from people passing by watching us work on our sandcastle. We also got to keep some of tools as part of the lesson!
Andrew L — Google review
I've been taking sandcastle building lessons from folks up and down the Texas gulf coast for almost 20 years, so taking a lesson from Andy after following him on social media for years was a bucket list item for me and he did not disappoint in the slightest. The attention he provided and the instruction that was given was exactly what I was looking for in a lesson and I really couldn't have asked for a better experience. Andy goes out of his way to ensure that you're satisfied with the course, mixing in his unique blend of humor and expertise to provide for a great time, regardless of the age of the participant. I would highly encourage anyone passing through South Padre to stop in and take a lesson, even if just for an hour - it will be worth it! Thank you Andy for a great time, a great lesson and great stories. Until our paths cross again!
Pat G — Google review
My family literally had the best time with Andy! Andy is a great teacher and has a great sense of humor. Even my teenager said it was “way more fun than expected” which is a 5 star review from a teenager 😂 We learned a lot and can’t wait to make more sandcastles!! Thank you Andy!
Doylenn C — Google review
Andy’s handmade sandcastle tools are incredible! I used them to win first place in my very first sand castle competition! On top of that, Andy personally took the time to call me and share pro tips that made a huge difference. I haven’t yet taken one of his sandcastle building classes, but based on my experience with his tools and advice, I can confidently recommend that anyone interested in learning the art of sandcastle building should sign up!

Sign up you won’t go wrong!! I’m a 57 yo female- no kiting/surfing/boarding experience. Jeff provided me with step by step coaching-and practices safety first always- encouraged me on rough days and when I struggled with the lesson he didn’t end at the end of the day- he went home and thought about different ways he could get me to where I wanted to be. His equipment is clean/maintained and he provided a valet type service. His boat was fantastic- on cold and windy days. The ride out and back was spent talking about skills (bonus time)! His shop was well stocked. He was timely and kept me updated on wind everyday we were scheduled. ***He also earned badges for surfing and fishing!! - He taught my grandson (9 yr old ) beginning skills to stand/surf in an hour! *** Deep sea fishing excursion on a low wind day and had fantastic catches (30 snd 26,, and 24 inch red snappers!!! *** Rented a paddle board one night for a sunset on the bay

From beginning to end the experience was great. From their sales team to their tour guides they were great ! Sam as our tour guide was fantastic, we were so lucky to have him . He was very knowledgeable and fun when he took us out on our jet ski and dolphin watch tour. He took pictures and videos of us and told us the history of SPI and showed us a great time. We didn’t want it to end. We highly recommend SPI Sessions Watersports

We rented a tandem kayak to take our corgis on the water. Check-in was quick and the staff are helpful and friendly. We had a good time and so did our corgis. Would definitely go back when we’re South Padre again.

We purchased a private surf lesson for our 11-year old son and also rented kayaks from SPIW. The experience could not have gone smoother. Our son was treated respectfully, with great patience, and with authentic encouragement. We will definitely be back in October when we return.

My husband and I took a 4 day beginner lesson with Jeff at Air Padre. Jeff is very knowledgeable, patient and an overall amazing instructor! He took us out on the boat for the days we were on the water, and when doing body drags and getting on the board to ride he would follow all the while giving instruction over a head set. Allowing for constant instruction. I can not recommend Jeff enough if you want to learn or just improve your kite boarding at any level. We will definitely be back for more!!
Heidi G — Google review
Amazing. Jeff is a fantastic instructor, very patient, calm and thorough. The lessons began on the beach learning how to control the kite and understand safety protocols. Within a short time we were in the water where Jeff is well set up with a boat, all the gear required and best of all, helmets with 2 way radio communication. I had a great experience and hope to get back to South padre Island for more lessons with Jeff. I would highly recommend Jeff for anyone who want to learn how to kiteboard.
Shannon M — Google review
Jeff is the man! I drove 400 miles for some lessons, and I’m glad I did. His 20 years of experience with teaching kite boarding made it very easy for me to understand the concepts, I felt very comfortable in the water, and I gained some highly effective tips along the way. Never impatient, and always encouraging, I had a great time. I’ll be going back for more lessons for sure.
Joe C — Google review
Jeff is an incredible instructor, great communication, patient and knowledgeable. He was quick to correct issues I had as I was learning to kite board. His boat is awesome and well kept and the equipment was also great. 100% will come back for more.

Restaurant
LongBoard Bar and Grill is a popular waterfront restaurant and entertainment hub owned by a local family. It offers a spacious indoor-outdoor hangout with bar food, tropical cocktails, and live music. The venue features a vast 9000 square feet open-air space with different areas to relax, including the Main Deck, South Bar Deck, rooftop Sky Deck, and private Upstairs Bar.
While visiting S.P.I. we're excited to have tried this spot right on the beach. It's really nice to be outside with live music, cool air, and, of course, right next to the water! Really great views of what's going on no matter where they place you. Live music was the perfect volume and entertaining. We had ordered the combo platter, which comes with fish and shrimp only to find out the fish was dry. We were disappointed as the water was right there and thought it might actually taste a lot fresher. Shrimp, garlic rice, fries, salad, and macaroni were darn good. We will definitely return as we did come on the fourth of July holiday and understand how busy it can be. On a positive note, the bathrooms are fully stocked and clean. That's a big plus for me. Thanks again, and see you again soon!

This place was a great find for a Saturday night. There was no wait, and my party of 8 was seated right away at dinner time with a view of the water. We were blessed with great ambience including great live music with a dance floor and we were lucky that there was a fireworks show that night. The service was a bit slow and the waitress came by to check on us just a few times. The food took about 40 minutes to get to us but this is to be expected for a dinner rush. The tacos were good but not over the top, the asada fries were a good choice to pair with them. The drinks packed a great punch and were a decent price. The experience and the view were spectacular, the wait is to be expected especially if you go during dinner in the peak season.

After what felt like an eternity driving down to SPI, we needed to fuel up and decided to hit LongBoard for our first dinner of the trip. There was no wait which was great and we were seated promptly by the waterside along with our dog. The setting is incredible and the restaurant is clean and spacious. There is live music which certainly adds to the ambiance and helps round out the entertainment. The view overlooks the bay and you can easily catch a sundown here without any or much obstruction. Service was quick and attentive, the workers were definitely working hard as they were sweating in the heat, and the place started to fill up after we got there which is always a good sign. A few days later we walked by and it was very packed with a line out front. We walked over there but there is decent parking out front of the restaurant. Now onto the food… It was not good. The All American burger was average, nothing that really stood out about it. The fries were good, which is a plus. However, the fried fish basket was downright awful. It had zero texture, just soft and fell apart at the slightest touch except for one or two parts that felt hard. Tasted like it was frozen and microwaved for the meal. On the other hand, the drinks were pretty good. We had an island colada, mango daiquiri, strawberry daiquiri, and lime margarita. All were very good and had we not just driven so much and had been so tired we likely would’ve gotten more. LongBoard is a decent bar and grill, one that offers great views, service, and drinks. If you’re willing to overlook the iffy food then it really is a great place to kick start or end off a night. Come for the views, stay for the drinks.

Music was good, was able to take my daughter, food came out fast, but it was hot outside I was sweating. The server Bobby made sure we had our drinks always full that did help and he made my birthday fun. Bobby was fantastic: very friendly, attentive, and great at making conversation. Great experience.

Had a late dinner here and the food, the service, and the atmosphere were all good. There was a live band performing on stage when we arrived. We had the ceviche, shrimp tacos, and a vegetable plate. The ceviche and the tacos were well prepared and tasty. The vegetable plate was nicely presented but wasn’t worth the price for the amount of vegetables. It came with some soy sauce on the side. The margarita was average and the service was adequate.
Mark D — Google review
The food was good. They had a live band playing random songs. Waitress was really nice and came by to see if we were good a bunch of times. The night views are nice.

Great experience at the restaurant thanks to Javier, our server! He was welcoming and provided excellent service. Javier had a great attitude and made our dining experience enjoyable. His friendly demeanor and attentive service made a big difference. We appreciated his professionalism and the positive vibes he brought to the table. Highly recommend!

Went on a Sunday, place gets packed! Got lucky since we went kinda early for dinner.. Food was ok at best.. Ordered shrimp po boy with plantains, shrimp tacos, and seafood platter.. only thing I liked from the platter were calamari and shrimp quesadilla.. loaded with Hella fries.. not worth the $70 price tag.. the plantains were good..

Restaurant
Nestled in a charming former house, Ted's Restaurant is a beloved gem on South Padre Island that captures the essence of Texas-style breakfasts and hearty lunches. This family-owned eatery is renowned for its mouthwatering buttermilk pancakes adorned with pecans and delectable breakfast tacos paired with their signature house-made salsa.
This place is always busy in the morning for breakfast. Open until 2PM and does serve lunch as well. Good value and great traditional American breakfast. Small place around 16 tables so if you go when busy expect a wait. Has been on island a long time and has a good reputation. Clean. Good size portions - big pancakes and cinnamon buns. We had lunch - chicken sandwich and a tuna sandwich. The grilled chicken sandwich was juicy and came with avocado, fresh grilled mushrooms and mozzarella cheese. The tuna sandwich had a LOT of tuna. We were already half done when I remembered pictures - sorry

Migas normally come with cheese, but I ordered them with NO cheese because the food looks and is dry when they try to melt the cheddar cheese. Fresh with no cheese tastes delicious.

5 stars to Karina! I ordered our dinner here yesterday. We were completely wiped out from traveling all day and wanted to eat at a place that was quick, clean, efficient. But did not know we will get all of these and more. Karina was super friendly, greeted us with a happy smile, understood our order and prepared it with care fairly quickly. It was just what we needed! I would recommend this place 100%. Thanks Karina, keep up the good work!!

Sandwich was fine, items were fresh. Purchased 2 subs and bottle of soda. After paying I asked for a cup, was told they have no complimentary cups and I would be charged the same as if I wanted a drink. Clerk not pleasant. Will use Port Isabel sub-way from now on, they are much friendlier and helpful.
Barbara F — Google review
Our sub was perfect even though the lady was crabby making it. Then went to eat and another worker was standing by the soda machine spraying her hair with water and combing it. Then she stood there and braided her hair. I did notice there was a bathroom for that. Or just plain come to work ready to work.
Melody O — Google review
Truly amazing customer service, due to a miscommunication they had to make more sandwiches but they made them and made extra sure they got the order correct, big props to cris and Victoria
Maria G — Google review
I was excited when I went in & they were fixing my sandwich & I saw that they had honey mustard as an option. Back home where I'm from, the Subways have taken away the honey mustard.
Mary J — Google review
the employees are really mean. they were rude and racist. their tone was absolutely not welcoming. we tried being patient but they weren’t at all polite. we asked him to mark the ingredients but he said that he knew what he was doing and wasn’t ready to give it to us until all of them were made, which ended up w him messing up all of our sandwiches. they toasted our bread. way too much and it was very hard to eat. we couldn’t even bite into the sandwiches. all together it was a very unwelcoming atmosphere.
Zeba P — Google review
Horrible service and horrible prices. If I could give it a 0 I would. Walked in and felt un welcomed. Female worker didn’t even look at customers or explain she would be right with us. Charged extra for many ingredients and didn’t even let me know. And for a half a sandwich is ridiculous. Asked for a combo and she just charged each item separately making it over priced. Didn’t even explain it would be an extra charge. Way too expensive for just one combo. Ridiculous. At least have some good customer service or quit if you’re not happy. You don’t have to be ruining people’s afternoon with the attitude. Overpriced a bag of chips for like $4-6. Worst experience ever. Don’t waste your time going here.
Melany H — Google review
The young lady who helped us was very friendly, and we enjoyed her sense of humor. The menu was in Spanish, and one of the words I thought was something else. She told me what it was, and we all laughed because I wasn't even close. It was our first night on South Padre Island, and Subway welcomed us no problems and with a sense of calm atmosphere.

Los Cabos is a fantastic hidden treasure in Port Isabel, offering delicious food at affordable prices. The charro beans and fajitas are incredibly tasty, with generous portion sizes that satisfy any appetite. Although I forgot to take pictures of the mouthwatering dishes, the charro beans were definitely a highlight. The staff is friendly and efficient, providing excellent service. This restaurant is truly a gem worth discovering.
Came for lunch. Got thier fried fish and shrimp special and ordered thier crab and shrimp combo. Both came with chips, coleslaw and a cup of soup. Huge portions given a great price

Hidden gem. Food was good. Green enchiladas best tasting out of all we ordered. Reasonably priced. Good portions. Clean and good atmosphere. Great service. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
Rebekah G — Google review
After a 9hr drive, found this place on Google and decided to try. Was not disappointed. Great service and extremely fresh and hot food. Had the all you can eat fish and fries along with a bean soup that did not disappoint. If I lived here, I would be a regular. The only thing that taste off was the water. Definetely 5 stars!
Nicole R — Google review
We dined here at about three pm on a weekday, and the outside of the building left a lot to be desired. However, the staff was attentive and kind and the inside of the restaurant was clean. The food was fresh and delicious, generously portioned and they had a wide variety of options on their menu.
Tris B — Google review
Expected more from an almost 4 star rated restaurant. Chips looked good but no salsa or anything to dip them in. Menu was ok, but came with very little description and no sides. The beans and rice I paid extra for with my meal were about 2 tablespoons at best. The condiments on the table were bland at best. Shrimp po-boy was not edible and fries overcooked. Very nice servers, but after ordered never saw them again at our table. Regrettable experience unfortunately.
Christopher R — Google review
We were directed by the locals to eat here and was not disappointed very good service very good food and portion size was alot needless to say definitely recommend
David B — Google review
Prices were reasonable and food was amazing. My only suggestion would be don't drink the water. A hidden gem. Waitress was attentive and everything came out hot and fresh.
