Nestled in the heart of historic downtown Danville, Copper and Oak stands out as a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts and bourbon lovers alike. This charming bar and restaurant offers an inviting speakeasy vibe, perfect for those exploring the bourbon trail. The menu is a delightful mix of flavors, featuring everything from double-patty burgers to enticing entrees like hot honey chicken and Creole shrimp & grits.
Five Stars for Copper and Oak! We were blown away by Copper and Oak—so much so that we came back again the very next day! From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance, friendly service, and mouthwatering aromas let us know we were in for something special. The lunch menu is full of creative, flavor-packed dishes made with care and finesse. Each bite was better than the last! And the cocktails? Truly next-level—balanced, bold, and beautifully presented. This place is an absolute gem. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers consistently excellent food and drinks, Copper and Oak should be at the top of your list. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to go again!

Carter our server/bartender was amazing and very informative. He guided our choices with knowledge. He made very terrific cocktails as well. The food was beyond delicious and way over met our expectations. Farm to table, fresh, perfectly cooked (the chefs here are top tier). Prices are very fair for portions, quality, and choices Carter gave us the history of Copper and Oak, as well as the Italian restaurant next door which we will be back to visit. We highly recommend Copper and Oak for anyone.

Welcome to the heart of Danville! What a great dining experience. Savannah provided great service. For starters we had Kentucky Mules before indulging in the 18 oz prime, bone-in ribeye from the owner’s own ranch. Outstanding. Planning on a return tomorrow for lunch!

Every time I visit Danville this is my go to restaurant of choice! Their food is always delicious! However, the broccoli was a little salty, for my taste. The staff were very friendly and polite, however our server wasn’t the most attentive, but she was super sweet.

I was honestly quite impressed. Didn’t expect to get such a good quality meal in a small town. Next time, I’m going to try their steak. The service was good, they have seating outside, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Great place to bring a date.

Great restaurant! There was plenty of street parking, lots of seating, and the food was magnificent. We came in out of the rain and our server went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The poutine was delicious!

We moved here from Florida at Christmas, and discovered this amazing gem of a restaurant on beautiful Main Street within the first week of our arrival. The food was amazing and the friendliness of the staff and servers was so welcoming in this sophisticated village tavern atmosphere that we determined to make Copper and Oak our homebase for all our dining celebrations! You can't miss with either lunch or dinner!! A great date night!

I came throw because of the good reviews . Place was not full only 2 tables were busy . I asked where can I sit server said on the bar although so many chairs were empty then I ordered the grill burger with sweet potato fries , bun was cold and chicken was hot while fries are too salty .. to me it’s not a good food .. food scene here seems not that great in this town .

The Art Center of the Bluegrass, housed in a historic former post office building next to Boyle County Courthouse, has been a vibrant hub for community art engagement since 2005. It showcases a rotating lineup of exhibits featuring the work of local, regional, and national artists. Currently on display is Stephen Rolfe Powell's blown glass exhibit, offering an up-close look at his various forms and a clear history of his development as an artist.
Currently displaying stephen rolfe Powells blown glass with his various forms available to view up close. We loved the dark room with his blown glass bowls cleverly lit up and reflecting the patterns. A clear history of Powells development as an artist with a timeline is presented upstairs where you can also view local artists who are in session.

This place is fantastic! I took my daughters to the munchkin & me art class (which is free by the way) and it was such a great experience! They read them a story and did an art project based off of the book they read. They even gave them a little snack in between! This is seriously the best gift a stay at home mom could ask for! Highly recommend!

The McDowell House & Apothecary Shop Museum is a restored Federal-style home that once belonged to the pioneering surgeon Ephraim McDowell and his wife, Sarah Shelby. The house, built in 1795 and expanded by McDowell in 1802, holds historical significance as it was where the world's first successful removal of an ovarian cyst took place in 1809. Visitors can explore the historically furnished rooms on guided tours and learn about Dr. McDowell's contributions to medicine.
Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a long tour of the home and gardens of dr ephraim mcdowell who is well known for being the first doctor to ever carry out major abdominal surgery to remove an ovarian tumour.
Jenny A — Google review
This is a wonderful little house and property that has a unique story. The house is beautiful and the property and garden are so pretty. The apothecary part is so neat, you really don’t get to see things like this at most historical sites. Very unique part of the tour.

Very interesting piece of history! Loved the tour and all the details provided by the guide! The antiques were amazing! Dr. McDowell was very bright and passionate about medicine. The house, garden, and Apothecary were timeless. Takes about 45 min. Well worth the $8. Looking to fill some space on your Danville planned weekend itinerary? This would be a good place to go 👍🏾

Went to the museum yesterday and had a fantastic time! The guide was great and very knowledgeable about the history of the house and it's previous residents. Definitely opt for the story about the surgery itself, it was really interesting. It's located in Constitution Square, which is also neat to wander around and look at all the little historical tidbits.

Elmwood Inn Fine Teas, located in rural Kentucky, is a renowned tea shop and distribution hub for their wholesale business. The owners, Bruce and Shelley Richardson, are experts in the world of tea and have authored numerous books on the subject. The store offers an impressive selection of fresh teas and teaware, including mugs, cups, pots, and gaiwans. Visitors can enjoy a unique tea-tasting experience at the bar while exploring the extensive collection of teas and accessories.
Lovely tea store, a wall of tea, a wall of tea accessories, and a tea tasting bar at the far end of the store. Ben patiently helped create a mixture of a particular tea I wanted. We tasted many samples. Happy with the outcome! Impressive selection and knowledgeable staff. Spacious parking lot, convenient. It was a fun experience. Tea lovers should check it out! The sample canisters have lids that open to inhale the aroma of leaves. Plan to order more in the future!

Let me start by saying the Christmas in a cup is amazing tea!!!!! The Bourbon Black Tea is definitely not my cup of tea. :( If you like Bourbon then you will like this. It has the charred-oak barrel flavor. I will try to give this one away. The other I will return because it has not been opened.
Marilyn J — Google review
I drink about 4-6 cups of tea a day. And for the past 5 years or so....I have almost exclusively been drinking Elmwood Inn teas. Rich, fresh flavor...lots of great choices and really great prices for the quality! I now get it shipped to me in New Orleans. I don't know what I would do without this tea company! Y'all are the best!!!
Squeakdroid — Google review
This is a world-class tea shop in rural Kentucky- go figure. The reason it can exist is that it is actually the distribution hub for their wholesale business. That equals incredible fresh teas and an amazing selection for their little store front. You want to talk tea, this is the place to do it. I spoke with the owners while there and just an interesting, well-travelled tea loving entrepreneur. If you like tea at all, you’d be doing yourself a disservice not stopping by!

Italian restaurant
La Cosa Nostra is an Italian restaurant that offers an early bird special from 4 to 5:30 for $29.99, including a soup or salad, glass of wine, entree, and dessert. The hospitality received here makes you feel like family. The Margherita pizza with extra sausage topping was perfectly cooked with fresh and delicious toppings. The dining area is very clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Being new to the area we were so excited to see such an awesome building housing an Italian restaurant! From the red carpet being rolled out to greet us to the amazing wooden bar and old bank vault the space is absolute perfection! Our food was delicious seasoned well and great portions. We would highly recommend to anyone passing through the area or those who know Danville as home!

I drove over 2 hours to surprise my husband with a surprise overnight trip and to eat here. I made a reservation online in advance, when we got there they said they didn't have it but seated us as it wasn't busy. We waited awhile and the waitress finally came to get a drink order and we placed our orders then too. The food did come quite quickly. My husband said his was okay and flavor was OK. Mine was barely warm when I got it. It was like it had been reheated as the Alfredo was almost chunky and separated. It was super bland and had no flavor. I was going to ask the waitress for some salt and pepper to try to help, except she never came back until we asked for a manager to get her. She asked if we needed boxes and I declined and let her know I never got to eat mine because she never came back for me to even ask for salt and it was almost cold when I got it. The bread and dipping oil was good, other than that I would never recommend this spot to someone.
Ursula — Google review
Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Food was good. I really liked their Tuscan salmon, my husband ordered their lobster ravioli, but was not really into it. We ordered their calamari for our appetizer and it was so tender, it was delicious.
Melissa B — Google review
This WAS a favorite but, for some reason has really declined during our last two visits. Tonight there were four (4) of us — upon arrival, they had no record of our reservation which was done (AND CONFIRMED) last week via FB Messenger. Nonetheless, they were able to accommodate us with only a brief wait — overall, not a big deal. Service was average at best. Server was polite but did not write down our orders which meant coming back to confirm — both drinks and food several times. We always enjoyed the pizza here so when we inquired about the pizza menu, none was provided but the server “rattled off” three pizza options. Not a good impression since, once we got a menu from the manager, there were plenty of choices. Took, what seemed like, forever to get drinks — still not sure if there was actually a bartender or if the servers were handling the drinks. MUSIC IS INSANELY LOUD!!! TERRIBLE! Food was mediocre — it used to be off the charts fantastic. Shrimp and Grits (two orders) were floating in grease from the onions and peppers — it was awful. Pasta Alfredo, with shrimp and chicken was very good! Salmon with risotto was just okay. Long story short — this place used to be fantastic, an absolute no brainer to visit regularly. But after three recent visits, we’ll take a year or two off until they get their act together.
Me — Google review
This was our first visit. We visited at about 5 PM on a Saturday. We didn’t have a reservation, but we're seated within 5 minutes. Once seated, our server told us of some delicious specials. We ordered one of the specials and oysters. We were also brought fresh bread with herb butter. My husband couldn't choose so the staff chose for him. He ended up with the lemon chicken picatta. As a man with Italian blood, he was in heaven. The food tasted so good. I went with the Lemoncello Chicken and devoured as much as I could after stuffing my face with bread and appetizers. My daughter got the kids' spaghetti and meatballs. Additionally, they have pizza you can order for takeout if you're looking for something quick and easy. The overall bill was just over 100.00. Although it's a more expensive dining experience, it is 100% worth each bite of food I got. This is definitely a nice date night restaurant. The atmosphere is quiet with a polished look. If you want an even more special night, you can get the room in the back that used to be the bank vault that's been fixed up. They have a good size bar area as well if you are just looking to enjoy a few drink on the town. This is hands down it is in the top running for the nicest place to have a romantic dinner and great food in Danville.
JR W — Google review
I ordered the Margherita with an extra topping of sausage. The pizza was perfectly cooked, the crust was nice and crispy. All the toppings were fresh and delicious. This was one of, if not the best, pizzas I've eaten in Kentucky. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Pricing was exceptional, it was a 16” pizza & I’ve paid higher prices at other places for 12” pizzas not nearly as good. The dining area was very clean, as were the restrooms. It's a historically unique restaurant which used to be an old bank and still has the vault where you can be seated at a table inside. I Highly recommend.
Kyle M — Google review
There are no words to express the amazing meal we had tonight. There are no words to express the hospitality we received , like we were family not patrons. Tonight my co-stars and I found La Cosa Nostra because most other restaurants were not open. I called as we were headed there and asked the amazing and kind Desiree (* sorry if I spelled that incorrectly) if she could seat 6 of us. She said she could and when we arrived we were greeted with biggest smile and hug. She sat us promptly in what was once a beautiful bank and as quickly as we were seated we were greeted by Nate our server. He was gracious, knowledgeable, and so incredibly kind. He made sure we knew the history of the restaurant, informed us of the specials and even seated us in the vault area after we expressed an interest. Not only was he amazing but the owner Beau came out and made it a point to introduce himself express his love for the menu and make sure we were taken care of all night. The food was out of this world amazing. We had the bruschetta, pancetta wrapped goat cheese and the most mouthwatering Arancini balls I have ever tasted in my entire life. Everyone’s meal was amazing. I had the shrimp and scallop lobster de fravola and I will 100% make a point to come from California to eat this dish. Also count yourself lucky if you get to have a hug from Nate’s daughter Ava who is the sweetest darn sweet pea in the planet. La Cosa Nostra is exactly the kind of restaurant Everyone should be supporting. Good people who love food and serve it up like your family. You would be missing out if you don’t have a meal cooked for you be the talented and lovely chef Joseph 10/10 and the only place I will be eating when I get back into town!

Wonderful Italian restaurant with an early bird special! From 4 until 5:30 for $29.99, you can get a soup or salad, glass of wine, entree from a small selection, and a dessert. We opted for the house salad, I chose the white wine, and the Mrs had the red. The Mrs. tried the chicken parm while I had the chicken fettuccine, which was fantastic. For dessert, we had the gelato with caramel and chocolate. Everything was delicious, and we will definitely return!!

The pandemic has been hard on restaurants and Tut’s is no exception. This used to be a great place (and still is) but they are having to build back their customer base amidst some new competition. Still good food and decent prices, but I think they waited too long to reopen. It’s worth the visit for sure if you like Mediterranean inspired food.

If you're on the hunt for a relaxed dining experience, look no further than Bluegrass Pizza & Pub. This charming eatery is celebrated for its New York-style pizzas crafted in a brick oven, using fresh ingredients sourced from local farms, including those owned by the pub's proprietors, Colin and Melissa Masters. With an array of options to choose from—13 specialty pies like El Pollo Loco and Hot Brown—you'll find something to satisfy your cravings.
If you’re looking for something that has an atmosphere that’s a little “funky” this is the spot. Inside the walls are filled with old records vibrant colors, and loots of fun artwork. We stopped in on a Saturday night and were seated right away. All the staff were very friendly. The menu had lots of options but my boyfriend and I just decided to split a pepperoni pizza. We got a 16 inch and ate the entire pizza in one sitting, I loved the crust! I also got a frozen margarita, which was great. I would definitely come here again and recommend it to anyone. The menu had several other dishes I would like to try in the future, and since Danville has lots of outdoor seating, I’d love to sit outside and eat on a nice warm day!

We were seated immediately when we walked in. The place was busy with students coming back, but our food still arrived quickly. They had a nice selection of beers on tap and $5 Makers shots. We started with wings and beers. The wings were crispy but still tender on the inside. The server cleared the wings and after a few minutes of conversation the pizza arrived. It was a solid New York style crust with a fresh, bright pizza sauce that worked well to lighten the pepperoni. As we walked out everyone said goodbye. Overall we were all pretty impressed.

Absolutely Fantastic. Great great pizza. The crust is probably the best ive had. We had Pepperoni Hamburger Mushrooms Red Onion and Banana Peppers. So so so good. Service was great. Restaurant and bathroom super clean! HEY DAVE PORTNOY, COME RATE THIS PIE!!!! One bite eveyone knows the rules. Im gonna go with a solid 8.1.. Damn it was good.

We ordered takeout pizzas from here for a game night with friends and everything was delicious and quick! The pepperoni pizzas were delicious and hot, and the service was impeccably fast. They came in cute takeout boxes with illustrations of a quaint little pizza shop. Overall, they had great pizza and service! We’re looking to dine in the lovely pub during our next visit!

To be honest, not that bad. We had visited last week and we actually enjoyed it, despite our last few visits. The food was decent, some of the flavor was either too bland or too salty. Do NOT get their regular house salad unless you're looking for a three-bite snack. Our server brought us the size of the bowl and we could not believe a salad would be served in something that small! The music in the restaurant was too loud to hear someone across the table and it was somehow cooler outside, so my husband and I sat outside. This lovely host/server set up one of the umbrellas after neither of the others would stay open and his hospitality was off the charts! Jake or Jacob, I can't quite remember, but he engaged with us, answered our questions, and was very attentive! I would've given a lower rating if it weren't for him, he made our visit lovely, and it's nice to see the business hiring better service! I can't wait to see him again, hopefully he can get that business back up on its feet!

First time here. We enjoyed the vibe it has. Laid back but attentive. Eclectic decor. We asked our waiter for suggestions and we enjoyed the pesto feta cheese sticks. We had calzone and a pizza. Both were better than we expected. Pizza crust is on the thin side but tasty.
Catherine K — Google review
Got sandwiches and fries. The sandwiches were good but were thin...not nearly enough meat or toppings. Bacon was wiggly, and didn't make for a good BLT Waitress was outstanding and atmosphere was cute and funky. I'll go back but will get something else...probably pizza.
Mrs. W — Google review
I absolutely LOVE the atmosphere, but the service has gone down hill rapidly. New mgmt is desperately needed. We would hate to see the business close, but without significant change it will happen. On our recent trip, 2 customers walked out because they waited so long just to be seated.

Breakfast restaurant
If you're looking to savor some authentic southern comfort food, the Red Rooster Cafe is a must-visit spot that captures the essence of local dining. Start your day with their delicious grits or biscuits and gravy for breakfast, or swing by for lunch to indulge in a homestyle hamburger or Momma's meatloaf paired with pinto beans and mashed potatoes. The buffet offers an enticing variety if you want to sample multiple dishes.
I can't wait to go back honestly. The food was very good and the service was so friendly. We went on a weekday, so there were tables open when we arrived, but they filled up pretty quickly. Our server was kind and answered all my questions about their menu since it was our first time there. It was good, it was tasty, it was comfort. I had gotten my wisdom teeth out a couple of days prior and was miserable, man this really hit the spot for me, for us. My husband got the fried steak with gravy, eggs, pancakes, and hashbrowns. I got their bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, apples, and tomato slices. It was really a great breakfast.

The food was fantastic and large portions (especially the country ham!—see meal in the Photo section). Price was good for a big breakfast (served throughout lunch also). Service was good as well as the atmosphere. If you’re passing through Danville, this is a must eat restaurant!!!👍

I love the homey small town feeling of this restaurant! The staff are all pleasant, and the atmosphere is fun. The prices are fare for the serving sizes as well. I love the private rooms they have for larger parties. The food was tasty, and I appreciate places I can get breakfast the whole time. We didn't get to try the buffet yet, but they looked good.

Outstanding breakfast place!!! My first time eating here and it was terrific! A better selection than many other restaurants in the other and the food was delicious!

First time here and it was as FANTASTIC! Will definitely return. They were really busy when I walked in but I was greeted promptly and seated quickly. I got the jalapeño cheeseburger and a breakfast plate (I’m fat, don’t judge). I can honestly say this was some of the best food I’ve had. Burger was obviously fresh and breakfast was homemade as well and to die for. Wonderful atmosphere, very clean and inviting. So thankful to have found this spot! Also, they didn’t judge me for eating more than one man should legally be allowed lol.

I always knew something was missing in my life. That was, until I discovered the Red Rooster Cafe. The staff is wonderful, the food is excellent. I can't wait to come back and try the breakfast/lunch bar. This is not a fast food joint with bins of pre-made food sitting under heat lamps. They cook to order, be patient. Because good things are worth waiting for.

Old school breakfast cafe in downtown Danville. It's wonderful to see lots of big tables, full of neighbors chatting and enjoying breakfast. The place is so much bigger than it looks from the outside. The menu is huge and everything isn't homemade here. Their biscuits are wonderful, fluffy and cooked perfectly. I had french toast and it was yummy. Out there breakfasts are healthy portions and great prices. Highly recommend stopping here for a bite.

We each got a burger and fries. The fries were delicious. The burger was over cooked so let them know if you prefer a medium burger. Quaint cafe with lots of charm. They offer a breakfast buffet on Saturday and Sunday till 1:30pm.

Pioneer Playhouse is a historic outdoor live theater in Kentucky, offering both outdoor and indoor performances as well as campgrounds. This venue has a rich history, having served as the train station on the set of the 1957 film Raintree County. The atmosphere is described as a time capsule of 1950s summer stock theater. Visitors can enjoy dinner before the show, with BBQ items receiving high praise.
My Wife and I took our daughter and granddaughter for the dinner and play for our daughter’s birthday. It was a great experience and the play 39 Steps was very well performed and funny 😆 glad we had a great time! There is so much history to this magical place. Enjoy yourself!

The Pioneer playhouse is an amazing place to go visit. It’s a beautiful and welcoming space. The food is delicious and the staff is attentive. It’s a good time for family at the theater . It’s also a great date night. There is so much theatre history and much to see including fun performances with amazing actors. This setup is spectacular with a beautifully put together stage. Treat yourself to a great night at Theater under the stars. Highly recommended and totally affordable.

The dinner wasn't that great. Service is great. Everyone is kind. A couple of kids repeatedly visited our table asking if we needed anything and cleared our plates. Nice dining atmosphere with live music. Guitar and pleasant cover songs. The show was fun and original. The actors were talented and enjoying themselves. We will definitely be back.
MGONZALESJR — Google review
We came to see the “Clue” show on the final night. We started the evening with dinner, which was a surprisingly good plate of BBQ items. The sauce was excellent and the Chef knows it! So that was a great start to the evening- then we walked around the eclectic grounds wandering in and out of old buildings just short of disrepair, but with some charm and each staged as part of an old town street. At the end of the street though was the next surprise- a hole-in-the-wall ice cram shop. I got the moose tracks and I don’t know what brand ice cream they use but it was as good as any Kilwins I’ve been to! Then a bit more meandering through a “secret garden” and off to the play. The play itself was ok- I think the writing on that one may have been a bit thin; however, the actors were so dedicated to making it work- that well, they made it work. A nice mix of yelling and laughing and an effective delivery or the story. A few twists here and there and ultimately a timely ending with an ovation for a strong cast. Definitely will come see how they handle other material! For the cost of the ticket and dinner- you really can’t go wrong here.

I only attended the play, but the experience was awesome. Beautiful atmosphere and the actors were amazing! Can’t wait to go again

The show was good. "Walking across Egypt". However it had rained earlier and the gnats were horrendous! We fought them off until it got dark. Be sure to bring bug spray. We had to shower before going to bed. They were dead and in our clothes and hair.
Deborah P — Google review
Food was good, but COLD. We were early in the buffet line so it should have been hot, but it seems no one lot the stereo under the pans. Service was great. The kids were working the room constantly asking if you needed anything and bringing whatever it was. Cleaned the tables too! Amphitheater is anaccident waiting to happen. Bricks are loose and uneven, stairs are missing railings. It was dangerous and a little frightening. We will NOT go back unless there is some serious renovations done. I know this is a family run business and I feel for them, but dilapidated buildings and loose Bricks could cost them everything.
Mona W — Google review
A fantastic, family friendly, meal and show under the stars. Very good pulled pork and chicken meal with homemade barbeque sauce, corn, potatoes and slaw. Then the outdoor show (indoor if very hot or raining) with comfortably, plastic, lawn chair seats. A good view from most of them as it's a smaller theater. Fantastic actors that you can meet and thank after the show. Campground and small, old time town to walk through. Can't wait to go again! 😊😊😊

This is where it all started for Kentucky! Charming small historic park in downtown. Picnic tables, bathrooms, street side parking and some visitor information. Accessible buildings were closed on the day of my visit. Enjoyed my lunch there and walked around historic downtown. I had full bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming.

Mr. Cline a local historian will greet you with Southern hospitality & charm. I love the Kentucky Shaped Soap! The soap dishes are made by a local artist who also offers Christmas Ornaments. The ornaments are hand stamped with Juniper, Holly, and Mint leaves then painted with water colors and fired in the Kiln. Books filled with historical information are for sale and they offer a wide variety of free pamphlets. Local Gifts make The Best Gifts!

Domino's Pizza is a popular delivery and carryout chain that offers an extensive selection of pizzas along with a variety of other delicious dishes and sides. One of the highlights for loyal patrons is the rewards program, which allows them to earn points towards free food. The friendly delivery drivers consistently provide quick service, making every order a pleasant experience.
Love them but the only thing is they have stayed the exact same since their opening, I think they should change up some things, might get more people to actually eat inside of the restaurant, yk?

Y'all are severely understaffed to be getting all that business, you need a second location perhaps. I waited over an hour just for my pizza to get put in the oven I kept refreshing the tracker wondering what's wrong with it. Then when I finally do get my pizza, the extra spinach I paid for on my spinach & feta are not on there. Y'all didn't even cut through it all the way so all the cheese was falling apart smh. Quality captain system ain't working for y'all clearly if you don't know what extra toppings look like.

Ordered a pizza and lava cakes, the pizza was made wrong, I called the store and the manager was rude offered me a free pizza next time or remake so I asked for a remake. Got all the way home the 2nd time and the pizza was made wrong again, called and let them know, they gave me a free pizza credit..Opened the lava cakes and they were burnt..I would prefer my monies back not a store credit for another pizza...smh... you're being forced to order from them again...offer people their money back not a credit...Do these managers not check the food they send out?? Evidently not!!! Shame people today have no integrity or pride in their job!!!

Showed up after my order was supposed to be ready. I waited another 40 minutes because it wasn't in the oven. I called and spoke to the general manager, she said she couldn't help me. My pepperoni mushroom pizza had a total of 5 pepperoni slices on it. Because I've been bedridden with a heart condition she said it's been over 24 hours and refused to help me. Will not even remake 1 item after I am able to get out to the bed. Sorry does not cut it. I'm in the service industry. I'm a manager. I would make it right

The food was very good. Service was not so great. We had a very large party of people, and they seemed to resent us being there. All the servers were unhappy. I never saw one smile, and if you asked for anything, it was a major inconvenience. The place was not crowded as we came at 4 in the afternoon so they should have been very happy to make some extra money, but you could tell they weren't. Also, they knew in advance we were coming and they weren't prepared. The whole place needed a good cleaning, especially the restrooms

They always have great food me and my wife love to eat there. But I always get the shrimp ranchos. We asked them to put the sauce on the side because by time you get home the burrito is slimy. They didn’t do that so I ate the filling and I noticed the shrimp was not cleaned. They didn’t devein it so I ate the digestive tract and poop. So I’ll never get that again

Wilderness Trail Distillery offers an amazing tour experience with knowledgeable and personable guides. Visitors get to witness the bourbon-making process up close and personal, gaining insights into the history and techniques involved. The distillery provides a comprehensive tour covering everything from distillation to the history of bourbon in the area. Guests also have the opportunity to sample various bourbons and even enjoy a guided tasting session.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Modern Craftsmanship with Historic Heart – Wilderness Trail Distillery I’ve visited Wilderness Trail Distillery twice now, and each time I’ve come away even more impressed. During my second visit, I joined the guided tour – our guide was not only knowledgeable but also an absolute ray of sunshine, whose enthusiasm for the distillery was truly infectious. The tour was informative, entertaining, and left me eager to dive even deeper into the world of bourbon. Although the distillery is relatively young compared to some of the long-established bourbon legends, that’s exactly what makes it so exciting. It radiates a modern yet incredibly charming spirit that instantly pulls you in. What fascinates me most are the founders, Shane Baker and Pat Heist – known in the industry as the “yeast professors.” Their scientific approach, especially to fermentation, truly sets their whiskeys apart. You can feel the passion and expertise in every detail. A standout feature of Wilderness Trail is their exclusive use of sweet mash – a more meticulous and cleaner process than the traditional sour mash, resulting in whiskey with remarkable depth and clarity. Currently, they offer three different whiskeys: a high-rye Kentucky Straight Bourbon, a wheated bourbon, and a rye whiskey. Each one is a testament to true craftsmanship and proof that less can indeed be more when the quality is top-notch. Another highlight is the historic house on the property, where the world-famous song “Happy Birthday to You” was created by sisters Patty and Mildred Hill. This unique blend of history and innovation makes Wilderness Trail Distillery a truly special place in Kentucky. If you’re a bourbon lover or simply curious about authentic craftsmanship and great stories, don’t miss the chance to visit Wilderness Trail. It’s where science meets soul – and the result is pure joy in a glass. A place that captivates – just as much on the first visit as on the second!

This has been my favorite distillery yet! The grounds are gorgeous and Cooper, their kitty assistant, walks with the tours and has his own merchandise. They are masters of their craft and have a strong scientific background. We loved their deeper shares of the process compared to other distilleries. Since they're the smallest of the big names, they all wear many hats and are extremely knowledgeable. The staff was warm and funny. Our guide was Chris and he was great! It was not the corporate scripted vibe a lot of other distilleries have but organized very well like the larger distilleries. They offer a lot if classes and private tours. We were very impressed with their whiskey and bourbons and bought a couple bottles. Their merchandise was extensive, creative, and a great price as well. I highly recommend checking them out! I'll be coming back for classes next time I'm in Kentucky!

A modern touch while still paying homage to the deep rooted history of Bourbon distilling! Really enjoyed our tour through this beautiful property and learning the history...albeit a short history of how wilderness trail came to be. Shout out to our tour guide Chris who was very personable, passionate and knowledgeable about the property, the process and the product. Would highly recommend planning a stop if you're in the area.

These guys were fantastic. From the time we pulled in, to the time we left, there wasn't one thing I wished was different. I was pleasantly surprised, not that ithought it would be bad, but I was happy with the decision to go there, and may be the best experience we had out of the 9 tours we did. Our tour guide Frank was knowledgeable and personable, happy to answer all our questions and showed that his passion for his job was immense. The gift shop was great and there were options for everyone. We would highly recommend going there. We will absolutely be back!

Wilderness Trail Distillery has such a cool vibe inside the tasting room. It was very tasteful, and there was a bunch of merchandise to choose from for any bourbon enthusiast, or those just learning. Norton Center for the Arts is a modern facility with two theaters that host a variety of events, including concerts, dance performances, operas, musicals, and college events. It is known for its busy lineup of Broadway productions, headlining musicians, circus performances, holiday shows, and more. Visitors have enjoyed world-class shows such as Celtic Woman's Christmas performance and Stomp.
We went to see Stomp and had a wonderful experience! My favorite thing is that the chairs are slanted enough that you can see over most people in front of you. I felt there was a fair amount of space between me and those next to me. The setup made the show easy to immerse yourself in the show via great sound and lighting. We also loved the main entrance area as there is a lot of art, some seating, and a good amount of room to meet up with groups. The only issue we noted was parking. There is not a lot of parking near the center and the parking there on the side of the street makes traffic messy.

Great place with cool events. Not huge crowds and that's what I love about it. Saw Rosanne Cash there and was thrilled!

Great music venue!! Parking a bit tight, be prepared to walk 5 blocks otherwise a great time Every time I've been to Norton.

Norton Center for the Arts is a beautiful building and gathering hall. The acoustics sound great and everyone can see the stage.

First time in Danville, and the first time I've seen the Celtic Woman live, what a great show. Highly recommend it.
Sabine B — Google review
Went to see Celtic Woman perform a Christmas show. It was dark and rainy. They had a worker with an umbrella at the front drop off walk you in if needed. Seats are comfy and had good leg room. The only problem we encountered was for my mom who is elderly and has mobility issues. (There were others too attending with the same issues). No elevator that went "up", which didn't make sense to us and where the ramp stopped it turned to stairs which my mom had trouble moving up then back down.
Eileen A — Google review
Had a great time at STOMP. But the seats were a little tight, with absolutely no leg room. Plus the isles are way too long for people sitting in the middle. I would still go back. We had a great time.
Steven M — Google review
I'm biased because I went to school at Centre almost 30 years ago, but I love the Norton Center. It's gorgeous, brightly lit, and vibrant. They get an amazing amount of great shows even being as small as they are. It's great to see how well the school has maintained it and keep improving it.

Party on Air set up at our local Fair. For 3 nights, my son had more fun than ever at our fair! He fell in love with Fox and Copper and they were outstanding with the children! I would give 10 stars if possible!

This is my second year using this company for my son’s birthday party and I will continue to use them due to their straightforward communication and professionalism. The employees I have encountered were respectful, timely and polite which greatly attributes to the companies face. I look forward to using this company each year because I know we will continue to be satisfied.

Such an awesome addition to our wedding. Everyone can’t stop talking about how awesome the mechanical bull was. The guy who worked the event was so patient with all the kids and just made it a really enjoyable experience for everyone. We loved it and definitely recommend this for any occasion, especially a wedding!

Would highly recommend this company for your party needs. On time, professional, clean equipment, quick set up and break down. Very quick to get quotes and communicate with. Thank you so much for making our party a HIT !!!!! We will definitely rent again for our next party.

This is our second year to use Party on Air for our neighborhood summer party. I would highly recommend this company to anyone! The inflatables have always been very clean. The two young men who was responsible for the set up/take down, Colin and Taylor, were very punctual and arrived at the exact time they quoted. The set up and take down was quick, and they were very courteous of our yard. The owner, Ashley, is incredibly kind, professional, and easy to talk to and work with. This is a great company and we will rent from them again in the future!

We rented a water slide/bounce house inflatable from Party on Air last year and had such a good experience that we rented again this year. The ordering process online was very easy. The setup and take down crew were very nice and got it done quick. The inflatable was very clean when delivered and held up great with kids and adults on it. We rented for 8 hours but they actually set it up for us a day early. TWO days of very happy kids (and adults)! Thank you !!

Pizza restaurant
Papa John's Pizza is a well-known take-out and delivery chain that specializes in both classic and specialty pizzas, along with a variety of sides like wings and desserts. Many customers rave about the quality of their food, often highlighting the deliciousness and professionalism associated with their service. While experiences can vary—some have encountered issues with toppings on occasion—the overall consensus is that Papa John's consistently delivers hot, fresh pizza that satisfies even those who aren't typically fans of pizza.
I hate pizza but the family loves it. If I eat it it has to be Papa John's. Our order was hot and fresh, family enjoyed it.
Jacob W — Google review
Normally when I order they’re really great and professional and delicious! Today was not that day. I ordered 2 med pizzas and a couple of sides. When we received the delivery, however, there was barely any meat/ veggies/ cheese on anything. Almost $75 for something that could’ve been a lot better like they normally do. Unfortunate.
Kaitlyn F — Google review
Do not order from this store. Ordered 2 sausage pizzas online. The order showed up with just crust. No sauce. No cheese. No sausage. When we called the store the manager was rude to my wife and said, "there is nothing I can do for you," and ended the condensation.
Ricky O — Google review
Over $20 for a simple pepperoni pizza delivered less than a mile away — arrived after 2:00 PM, cold and saucy, and they forgot my drink. Now I have to leave work to get what I already paid for. This Papa John’s has gone downhill — 2nd or 3rd time in a row with problems. Done eating here. As a commercial broker, I’ll be working to bring better pizza options to Danville.
Tanner G — Google review
First and last time I'll be ordering from this Papa John's. The food was good, but that was the only positive thing. Not long after I submitted the order I get a call from the location asking if I'm located in Indiana, and if I am, they will be canceling my order. I called them back and said I live 5 minutes from you in Danville. They said okay, but for some reason it's showing Indiana on they're end. Then when the driver is on the way, she is supposedly using Google maps but can't find us on a VERY main popular road in Danville. I have to sit on the phone with her for over 5 minutes trying to figure out where she is and direct her to my house. She finally gets here and ends up bending over with food still her bag and drops half of our order on the ground. Then responds, "Thank God it didn't open!" I'm like, yeah thank God! Because dropping it on the ground isn't bad at all right. Then after we eat, I realize we were charged twice for the order. I call them back to tell them and they said it should drop off within' 10 days. Like that's a short amount of time. This place is a joke. Will never return.
Izzy — Google review
I've never been disappointed with a papa John's pizza. My favorite. Not really a dining in restaurant. Carry out and delivery.
Mandy L — Google review
Food is always good quality 👌 😋 and there is never hardly any wait time. No hassle great pizza place. Would always recommend!!!
Elizabeth C — Google review
Extremely disappointed with my recent experience. My order was supposed to be ready at 7:02 PM, but I ended up waiting an extra 45 minutes before anyone figured out what happened. I had to tell the staff multiple times that I suspected a delivery driver had mistakenly taken it, and only then did the front counter girl—who was incredibly rude—bother to check the system. She looked at the oven screen like that would help, even though there was no box or label for my order. The customer service here is terrible—from the front staff's bad attitudes to the lack of urgency or accountability. What’s worse is that the general manager was overheard using offensive language while complaining about taking a church order over the phone. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. To top it all off, my food was already out with a driver for nearly 30 minutes, and not a single employee offered to remake the order or even apologize. The order screen wasn’t even busy—it’s not like they were overwhelmed. Not sure how the owners allow this kind of management or staff behavior. I won’t be returning.

Fast food restaurant
McDonald's is a beloved fast-food institution that has stood the test of time, famous for its iconic burgers and crispy fries. Many travelers appreciate the convenience and speed of service, especially during breakfast hours when a quick McMuffin can be just what you need to kickstart your day. While the food generally meets expectations, there can be occasional hiccups with orders—like an overzealous amount of ketchup on a burger—but overall, patrons enjoy their refreshing drinks and perfectly cooked fries.
Love McD's reliability on food being quickly prepared & tasting like you expect. I just grabbed a McMuffin in the drive thru, tasted great & I was back on my way ... fast. Great job, breakfast crew!!
Christi W — Google review
I don’t understand why it’s so hard to get good service here. I asked for no cheese, they put cheese on there. The fries are cold and the drive through times are ridiculous. What a waste of money and time.
Julia — Google review
Stopped at this location this past Saturday September 20th 2025 at about 9 am. Whoever the shift lead / manager was, she was extremely rude. They put a sign on their lobby door saying that their lobby was closed (I did not see the sign and the door was unlocked) I only wanted to use the restroom, and behind me a few more people came in wanting to order food. Whoever the lead was in the back was shouting over the counter out of saying for us to "go read the sign, the lobby is closed" over and over again. I've worked in customer service, at fast food restaurants and at travel centers, I know good customer service whenever I see it, I know how to give good customer service, this lady was extremely rude, would not even make eye contact with anybody, she was just yelling over the counter telling us to go read the sign on the door. A couple of the other customers that were with me in the lobby asked her if they could go ahead and order and take their food to go rather than using the lobby, and she just ignored them. The only person who was clearly communicating with us, in a mannerly way, was the maintenance guy who was sweeping the floors in the lobby. He was kind and was actually trying to ask the shift lead/manager questions for us but she was ignoring him as well. I'm in Danville at least a few times out of the week, I have gotten food from this McDonald's location before, after that experience I have decided I will no longer give them business.
MyDragon F — Google review
This used to be a good McDonald's. I don't know if we caught a bad day or if it has gone downhill. The cashier seemed to have a hard time ringing in the order, which was very basic. We got a nugget meal, a happy meal, and a quarter pounder meal. I ended up charged extra for a medium drink on the happy meal that I didn't even want or ask for actually. It took quite a long time to even get our food, at least 15 minutes or more. We ate inside but was given our food in a bag anyway, as I noticed everyone was. The food itself was awful, and we were given no explanation or apology for why it took so long. The nuggets, especially for the happy meal were hard and looked like they had sat all day and were not even warm, much less hot. The fries tasted old and cold as well. The quarter pounder had no flavor and was so cold, it was as if it had been taken from a fridge and microwaved but not enough to make it warm. It was absolutely covered in ketchup. Maybe to try and hide the rest of it, and where it was old, the meat seemed to be grisly. The workers spent a lot of time just standing around talking, even telling other workers to wait when called for help till they finished telling their story to others. Unfortunately this experience seems to be becoming a trend at a lot of McDonald's locations lately. I have a 3 year old, so I hope not. We usually go to the other location in Danville and I wish we had this time. It was so bad I couldn't even eat it.
Jeanna E — Google review
Can't rate lower if I wanted to. Ordered a frappe mocha with 3 shots of espresso. Wasn't expecting much and got the "McDonald's quality" I've come to expect as of recent. But as I was enjoying my subpar coffee, I couldn't help but overhear a manager yelling at her employee for simply stating who an order was for. No reason to have her in a position she clearly lacks the mental stability to hold. The young lady provided excellent service. 8/10 employee, 2/10 manager. At least they showed up. 🤡
Larkin H — Google review
Food was alright, but they added about half a bottle of ketchup on my burger. Drinks were good and fries were crispy. This isn’t the first time my order was not 100% correct.
CreativeCookYT — Google review
It's actually a very good McDonald's but I give 2 star because they do not provide FREE FLOWING WATER for the purpose of sanitizing philanges... Or hand washing as it's otherwise known. After using the restroom, I want to wash my hands but the motion activated faucet only dispenses water one spitful at a time. This is unacceptable! One must repeatedly do acrobatics in front of the motion sensor to get a spit of water. It wasted time to stand there flailing about trying to get water because the owners of this McDonald's are so MISERLY that they must conserve water that is NECESSARY for washing away feces and bacteria. Yikes! That is not a good thing considering people get food poisoning and hepatitis from unwashed hands. Y'all better get a screwdriver and adjust that setting on the faucet because the health department is gonna get involved if you fail to provide the water necessary for your employees and customers to properly wash their hands. Fix this issue and this review magically turns into a 5 star review because you do have very good employees. Otherwise, this review shall stay up as evidence for anyone who gets sick from this McDonald's. We all know why you're making the community of Danville get sick .... Because you want to save on your water bill. Come on McDonald's, that's foolish because a lawsuit will cost more than water. Wake up!

Bud & Cheryl's Ice Cream Shoppe is a delightful hidden gem that offers much more than just ice cream. The burgers are highly recommended, surpassing those of any chain restaurant. Sides like tater tots and fried mushrooms are cooked to perfection and served with an amazing ranch sauce. The variety of creamy ice cream options is impressive, making it difficult to choose just one.
This is a perfect burger ice cream spot. Plenty of seating outside and delicous food. I had the cheeseburger and a shake. Highly recommend.

Fun place seemingly in the middle of nowhere- but makes for a nice weekend drive. The ice cream is tasty and the shakes are really nice as well. I got the mint chocolate and the family went for chocolate. The “small” was more than enough as mine was two large scoops!

Great small town eatery. Not happy with last night's visit. Almost 30 minutes for three cheese burgers and fries. Two guys waited for over 30 minutes for a couple of dogs. Unexcusable. First time this has happened in the last 7 years.

Food was 100000/10. We had a cheeseburger and cheese fries with a chocolate malt. Everything was so great! The burger is the best one we have had around here!!! The malt is just perfect(most places can’t make a simple malt) this place hit everything out of the park. The cashier was so sweet and helpful, and the food was just GREAT! The atmosphere is great! Great vibes! Many places to sit outdoors so you are not on top of everyone else. All in all- best burger we’ve had in KY to date. EDIT: we left with a second malt because they were just that good😍
