A great little market for buying just about anything that you need for your stay here. There are literally tons of fresh vegetables, produce, grains, nuts, legumes, meats, fruits, and other basics. Prices are very reasonable. There are always plenty of food stands around the market, if you need a quick, cheap meal or a snack, too.

This is the market of the local community of Urubamba. The variëty of local products is actually amazing. The variety of fruits, vegetables, flowers, herbs, biological products, animal based products and fish is astonishing. At 4am the first locals arrive with the products they hope to sell that day and in the evening around 8pm a last concierge leaves and closes up. In this local market you one would not only find 60 families selling their products, but also quite some families serve their familiar menu's made oit of their own harvested crops or from the crops of neightbours, and also some workshops that offer sewing or textiles or local art or typical peruvian things like incenses or leather bags. For those who are interrested in what Urubamba has to offer, this market is a "must visit"

This was a wonderful and educational experience. We learned the difference between synthetic alpaca clothing, adult alpaca, baby alpaca. We also learned to differentiate real handmade silver jewelry and imitation. We learned how cloths and patterns are handmade and how the colors are made naturally. We learned so much about their culture and how the "chicha" is made. We even tried a sample of chica. This place is by appointment only due to Covid so please plan accordingly. Must stop while in Yucay.

It's a museum and restaurant in the same place. Haven't really visited the museum but the restaurant is really good, with variety of dishes served as a buffet

Beautiful stop, to eat, enjoy some culture and beautiful ambiance. I loved everything, I would recommend the dish Canchaco de Cordero, and was outstanding. No picture of the dish, I was too hungry to wait 😅

Wonderful interactive tour that Selena gave us. Her English is very good. We learned about different cultures of the Sacred Valley and how they come together for the good of the people of this beautiful and sacred land. They also have a beautiful shop that you can get your own taste of the culture to take home with you! Best part about it, is that it is free!

Excellent!! Such great information of the many things we’ve seen in the Cusco area. We have been to Cusco several times but have a much greater understanding now of the weaving, dress, jewelry, houses, grains, etc. Highly recommend! Our guide spoke excellent English.

The Sacred Valley is magical indeed. In fact I regret visiting this region before Machu Picchu because it made the latter a bit underwhelming. May favorite ruins of the region were Pisac. I could easily have spent 2 weeks here exploring numerous well known and lesser known sites but, unfortunately I only had 2 days. We used the town of Urubamba as our base here.

The sacred valley is a historical testimony for the Inca’s. Its worth a visit and its possible to use a lot of time exploring these sites. Note, that there is quilte a distance between the sites.

Insanely beautiful. Trip of lifetime. Did a week of Ayahuasca and then another week afterwards. Just exploring the countryside. People are lovely wonderful I cannot say more about this place. Lots of communities located here.

Aesthetic interior with views overlooking the main square. Service was prompt, beautiful plating, kind wait staff. The pisco sours tasted stronger here than at other places (no complaints!) pizza dough flavour fell flat but other dishes were flavourful. Lamb meat tender. beautiful overall, left content.

Delicious lunch! Shared quinoa salad with lots of beans, onions, plus creole causa. Aji de Gallina was something I never tried, so surprised with delicious combination. My husband ordered Titicaca trout. The cheesecake and Picarones were also so yummy!

We ordered two dishes: The lamb was delicious, but the duck was hard to chew. This is my first time having the Arroz con Pato, and not sure what to expect, however I think the duck should be tender. if the server was fluent in English that would definitely improve the dinning experience.

We went to Casa Colonial 4/5 days we were there the Lomo Saltado was out of this world. On the last day we also got the Lamb that had been stewed for hours and it was just as good if not better (though my partner and I differ on that). Food is delving and the service is decently quick.

I was brought here as part of my tour, and I was delighted to dine here. The atmosphere was colonial, and I knew that this place had to be the one. I was given a lunch menu to choose from, as well as drinks to accompany my meal. I picked Chicha Morada & Coca tea, Causa Criolla as an appetizer, Trucha de Titicaca as my main entree and Picarones as a dessert! Focaccia was brought as a starter, which was very nice. I liked overall presentation of each dish, and the flavor was amazing. I was very impressed with curry quinotto (quinoa?) because the curry flavor stood out without overpowering the trout. The unfortunate thing was that I didn’t have enough time to throughly enjoy the entire course, as I had an hour for lunch. Therefore, I asked the dessert to go, and they obliged. They were tasty even on the bus…chewy and sweet. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice meal.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner here overlooking the Plaza. The food, service, and atmosphere were all right on par. I would definitely reccomend for a nice dinner in while staying in the area.

We were from NY and our hotel Tambo del Inks Spa and Resort recommended them if we wanted to eat near the square. We were very happy eating local food and good local food!! The people of Peru warm my heart! They are so kind & heartwarming!!!

Andean cuisine cooking class with chef Pio Vasquez prior to our Machu Picchu trip proved to be a most memorable experience. Chef Pio is a bubbly personality obviously passionate about what he does. His food was easily the best meal we had in our weeklong sojourn in Peru.

The atmosphere and service were wonderful. I have mixed feeling about the food though. The complimentary bread with olives and chimichurri was great! As an app I ordered the crispy mushroom empanaditas which I enjoyed but the veggies at the bottom were salty so I couldn’t eat the cheese dip with it bc it was salty also (blue cheese). For main I ordered the vegetable curry which was just ok. They put in a lot of onions as a filler veggie. Why I have mixed feelings about this place was bc it gave me diarrhea :( and I have been eating at many different places around the sacred valley daily for over a month and had no issues.

This place is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Urubamba. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a tranquil garden ambiance that set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The menu is a delightful fusion of traditional Peruvian flavors and international influences, executed with creativity and finesse.

This restaurant is absolutely incredible! ​Aside from the food being amazingly delicious, I was completely floored by the setting. The restaurant is surrounded by gorgeous trees, creating the most beautiful and serene atmosphere. It was a seriously beautiful dining experience. I highly, highly recommend it.

Cozy place to eat. Great fast service. Reaching here through narrow lanes was fun. Food was tasty and well presented.

One of our best meals in Peru. Classics with a twist. The alpaca with a demi glaze and Mediterranean trout were amazing. Carlos, the waiter, provided some of the best service we’ve ever had. He even helped us get a tuk tuk back to our hotel. Lovely atmosphere on their patio, as well.

The food taste was very good, problem is that if you arrived after 2pm and only 2 or 3 dishes on the bufffet area, they charge you same price as a full dishes buffet. we pay full buffet price and it was only 2 dishes, chicharon and beef stew. Ceviche was great.

I won't be going back any time soon. A pretty poor selection of food and certainly not what I would call a buffet.

Museum is in English and Spanish. Takes you through the different groups throughout Peru and the centuries. Outlines where they where compared to present day, the beliefs, systems, etc. Really well done. Highly recommend the stop. Cost - 45 soles for a foreign adult.

Located in quite a random spot - to get there, we had to take a taxi from Pisac. However, it is a very well thought-through museum, with lots of information about pre-Columbian civilizations presented in an easy to digest and interactive way.

An excellent museum. Our 6 and 8yo loved it, great life sized figures in scenes from the past. Absolutely worth a visit, one of the best in the sacred valley. We caught a taxi there and flagged down a collectivo on the way back.

Very cool museum! This was the most informative place we found throughout our trip to understand the history of the Incas and all the civilizations before them. The displays were very well made and also very interesting for the kids!

This museum has everything!! Definitly a must for any athropology, archeology or history lovers!

Awesome museum. Lots of wax replicas of people of the past cultures in their environments. Really gives a sense of what things were like. Awesome collection of elongated skulls and ceremonial jewelry/ head dresses. Not sure what to call it. 5 stars. Would recommend everyone visit

Excellent experience. An absolute must when visiting the Sacred Valley. I booked the Salinas de Maras 4hr ride (my first time ever riding a Peruvian Paso horse and enjoying the paso llano) and was lucky enough to be the only one that afternoon getting the experience of a private horse riding tour! Yojan is a kind and knowledgeable guide - amazing at explaining what you see and do during the ride and has a wonderful energy with his horses, which are very well taken care of. I hope to be back for a multiple day ride in the future, highly recommend!

We had a wonderful day ride including Maras and Moray and it was a really special way to see the Sacred Valley. The horses were also absolutely gorgeous and it was a real treat to get to ride them and experience the unique Peruvian Passo gait. Yojan shared lots of interesting information about the are and we spotted many birds too.

I went on the 3 days horse ride in the valle sagrado and it was one of the best tours i ever did. The horses are beautiful and well trained passo peruanos. We were riding every day arount 5-6 hours. The landscape is incredible and we visited Maras, Moray, Salineras, Chinchero and many other places. Yojan has a huge knowledge about the valle sagrado and it was very interesting to get more details about the life of the farmers and the Inca ruines. The first night we spent in a small comunity called Mizminay. The people are super friendly and welcoming. I recommend this ride to advanced riders who want to experience something unique. For beginners i recommend to do a shorter ride.

Alongside macchu Picchu riding a Peruvian Paso horse has to be on your Peruvian bucket list. This is a most fascinating horse like no other- the unique gait makes you feel like you’re flying on a magic carpet. It is the smoothest ride you will ever experience. The horses at this stable are incredible- they demonstrate this smooth gait with such perfection. They have obviously been well bred and well trained as I didn’t experience such a beautiful ride at other stables. This experience is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend

Best horseback riding in Urumbamba / sacred valley. Yojan is a true professional and his passion and wisdom was truly appreciated. Highlight of our trip.

Just amazing place and very kindly family. A place for enjoying, feeling the landscape and mountains up from the safety horse's. I really recommend to book a horse tour. Great!

If you're a horse rider I wholeheartedly recommend making the time to ride a trail with these guys. I did the 1 day Salt Pans and Moray complex trail and it was amazing to experience those sites via horseback rather than a coach tour or hike. (Tip from my mistake! If you've got a ticket that let's you see multiple sites in Cusco/Sacred Valley, take it with you so you can go into Moray and see the site in full.) If you're not experienced, give it a try anyway! They have shorter rides you can do, and they make the difficulty clear on their website. The horses are wonderful and well trained, and the experience of the Sacred Valley from horseback is one I'll never forget. Many thanks to Kate and Amelia for making the day great fun, and the welcoming hospitality of everyone at the ranch. Next time I'm in Peru I'll definitely be doing a multi day ride here!

We went here as a stop on one of our tours. The food was amazing and lots of variety. Staff was very friendly, serviceable, and the atmosphere was quaint. Very clean (restrooms too). Highly recommend!! The view was amazing too!

We came on a tour and were pleasantly surprised with how good it was. The decor is beautiful and we loved the musician. As vegetarians there was a lot of healthy choices for us. The staff were extremely friendly and quick to serve. My kids particularly enjoyed the desserts.

It’s just impossible to get good if you are in traveling in a tour group, people are just cutting the line and usually you got to wait for more food to arrive which usually takes around 10 minutes. Just pathetic

We had a wonderful experience at 14 Inkas in Cusco. The buffet was full of tasty and fresh food, with a nice variety of dishes to try. What made it even more special was the breathtaking mountain view it was truly a beautiful and peaceful setting to enjoy our meal.
