If you're planning a family trip to Teruel, Dinópolis is an absolute must-visit! This enchanting prehistoric theme park offers a delightful experience for children and adults alike. Nestled in the province where some of Europe's largest dinosaur remains were discovered, Dinópolis features seven centers, with the main one located in Teruel city.
A brilliant museum, very interesting. Most of the signage was translated into English which was incredibly helpful. The rides were fun throughout, especially jurassic mar.
Daniel W — Google review
It's ok not amazing. The food is rubbish. it's quite small and you can see everything in 3 hours . It's not a complete waste of time and money although 90 something Euro's for 2 adults and a child seems a bit steep on reflection. The food prices to the quality is crazy 😧 very bad hence the 3 star .
Paul P — Google review
Well the kids liked it and thats why we went. But it's very expensive for what you get. The shows are kind of disappointing I think they could do so much more. The technology is 20 years old. They try but it needs an injection if modernization. The food is crazy expensive. The best bit was the dinosaurs in the sea building which we did last thankfully. Four hours and we did it all. Hopefully they can update things a bit it could have been so much more exciting for the kids
Robert R — Google review
Thought it would be a fun natural history thing for the kids. Turns out it's mostly waiting in line for 4D shows, and a play area. The first show they sent everyone away because it was broken down, and the paleontology hall was closed. We were on a tight schedule and couldn't wait hours for the 'rides', so €126 for a play pen? I demanded my money back. First time I EVER did that.
Robert-jan J — Google review
This place is great for young families. the ticket price includes all areas of the park. Everything except the museum is geared towards kids so tickets can be expensive but it's still good to visit at least one time.
Cathy L — Google review
What a complete rip-off. €28 per adult and €22 per CHILD! For nothing more than a few fibreglass statues of dinosaurs, a really badly acted T-Rex drama and run-around treehouse that's limited to kids aged +9. And don't go there hungry. The food is absolutely terrible. The salmon (fish of the day) was frozen and had the texture of my granny's old boots, the carrots we're tinned and boiled until every last vitamin had disappeared and the potatoes would have found better used in a jar of baby food. They we're mush. The only thing worth eating was the roasted chicken. You'd get better value for money and more educationally by renting Jurassic Park on Netflix and ordering in a pizza!
Claython P — Google review
Did not disappoint in any way. Excellent family fun day out and exceeded expectations. My 5 year old loved every second.

Good way to spend a Family day. But remeber to take a hat in the summer ! The t-rex animated was awsome. Friendly & caring crew, clean installations. Fun-educational!

The Mausoleum of the Amantes is a renowned museum located in Teruel, dedicated to showcasing the city's rich history and culture. The museum features exhibits that include ancient marble tombs from a famous 13th-century story, as well as cultural and historical artifacts. Visitors can explore the beautiful San Pedro church, along with its tower which is accessible through a guided tour.
great museum with a super interesting history. the guide was super nice and gave good explanations. the church next to the museum was beautiful

Just don’t. Expect to wait in line for tickets for ages for no good reason, just poor organisation. Then you get a bunch of explanatory stuff mostly only in Spanish. But the church is sort of ok if you are into looking at churches. In my opinion it was not worth it at all.

Restaurante El Mercao de Teruel is a cozy venue offering a homemade daily menu with a wide variety of flavors that adapt to each season. The restaurant also provides gluten-free dishes certified by the Celiac Association of Aragon. Despite language barriers, the helpful staff ensures a pleasant dining experience. The menu features local specialties such as Teruel jamon and lamb chops, along with options for children.
Restaurante El Mercao de Teruel offers delicious main dishes with great flavors—like the tender octopus and juicy Chuletas de Ternasco. However, the desserts were disappointing and didn’t live up to the rest of the meal. Worth visiting for the mains, but skip the sweets.

We arrived rather late and without a reservation. They were absolutely packed, but graciously let us wait a few minutes, and served us. The set menu (25€) has many of the dishes from the a la carte, and includes bread and delicious cool water. The tomato salad was simple and tasty. The « migas » were of excellent quality. The main dish we both chose, tuna solomillo, was perfectly cooked and filled us so much that we asked to takeaway our desserts (they obliged). The waiter, Coco, was professional and helpful. Stop in if you’re in Teruel.

Restaurante Asador Medieval is a cozy establishment with medieval decor that may not look inviting from the outside, but it offers a delightful dining experience inside. The menu features delicious options such as grilled rabbit, cheese board, and beans with pork snout. The restaurant's specialty lies in cooking meat over an open charcoal fire, resulting in some of the tastiest steaks. Despite being stumbled upon by accident, visitors were pleasantly surprised by the friendly service and quick serving time.
Went to this place for a light meal on a very quiet evening. Service was very friendly and attentive. The garlic soup was flavourful and filling, and the grilled vegetables were delicious and plentiful. Shrimp skewer was bigger than expected for the price, and properly prepared. We were surprised by the presentation of complimentary liqueurs after dinner, especially the non-alcoholic version for my wife who can’t drink alcohol. A wonderful evening!

(Translated by Google) We placed an order in the afternoon and sent a relative to pick it up. They refused to give it to him because he didn't have an order number or phone number (even though they never gave us one over the phone). In the end, we ordered delivery, and after two hours, they delivered the pizzas… the same ones from our previous order from three hours earlier! Dry, tough, and inedible. We called, and on top of that, they told us it was our fault and they wouldn't offer a solution. Disgraceful treatment and a total lack of respect for the customer.

(Translated by Google) The service was good, Mr. Antonio was kind and polite, he advised us on discounted pizzas and the service was good, but the dirt is glaring due to its abundance, the bathrooms are terrible, the mirror has so many wipes that it can't even be seen, the men's waiter full of hair and stains from a long time and the woman's bathroom is the same, the funniest thing is that you look at the calendar of when the bathrooms have been cleaned and according to the calendar it had only been half an hour since they had cleaned it, apart from the dining room furniture in poor condition .

(Translated by Google) A surprisingly good place with great pizzas and fantastic staff, especially the price of one of the beers: for two euros you get a full beer, and for €1 more you can refill it. The freshly made pizzas are fantastic, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend this place for its price and quality. The only downside is the condition of the facilities, especially the seats, which were in need of renovation because they were broken, and the cleaning was perhaps a bit neglected, but everything else was perfect.

Torre de El Salvador is a 14th-century bell tower located in Teruel city, known for its impressive Moorish-style ornamental tiles and brickwork. Visitors can climb the 122 steps to reach the top and enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding area. It is situated near Plaza del el Torico and serves as one of the main tourist attractions in the city. The tower showcases excellent architecture and exemplifies mudejar style, which Teruel is renowned for.
Beautiful structure and you can learn it's history by visiting inside. The history is clear and concise and is in English as well as Spanish and French. It's views from the top are awesome. Well worth the small entry fee.

Tower Mudejar de El Salvador - Definitely worth a visit if you are passing thru Teruel. Built in the 14th century, it is actually a tower within a tower. The climb is not bad, & there are 4 stopping pointing before reaching the top with nice panels describing the architecture, the builders & legends about the tower (in Spanish, English & French). You can even see 14th century graffiti! Beautiful inside & out, nice views from the top. You can actually be in with the bells at the top when they go off every quarter hour, so if loud noises bother you, take care not no be up there when they go off. We prepared ourselves and went up. Inscribed on UNESCO’s heritage list in 1986.
Diana R — Google review
It costs 3 euros to enter the tower and I was absolutely happy to choose to enter here! It’s a little long journey to go up to the top, the tower, but I loved it! You need to be aware of the time of bells. If not, you’ll be hear 12 bells ringing at noon, staying next to the bells. Plus, during the winter, it’s very cold to be on the tower as there is any window. Please keep you warm and go 😆
Sunny K — Google review
Fascinating and unusual tower constructed in Mudéjar style. It has 112 steps, the first few are steep then they're much shallower with flat sections. The corridors are very narrow, it's a bit of a squeeze to go past people going the other way. There are exhibitions at 3 levels on the way up with well translated labels in several languages including English. A sign near the top gives the bell ringing schedule - it can make you jump when they ring suddenly. The views aren't stunning from the top but you can see the tops of other historic towers and buildings.
Kat S — Google review
Not much to see on the way up the tower but the views from the top were good. There was an interesting short film for you to watch, subtitles were in English.
Motorhome Q — Google review
A must see in Teruel. It’s not even about the views from the top. The tower is a prime example of the mudejar style that the city is famous for. The exhibition inside is fairly interesting. The entrance in spring 2022 was for 3€ per person

The Cathedral of Santa María de Mediavilla is a stunning example of Roman Catholic Mudejar architecture, dating back to 1171. Nestled in the heart of Teruel, this remarkable church was constructed on the site of an earlier structure and features a striking square tower adorned with intricate ceramic decorations. As you step inside, you'll be captivated by its magnificent coffered ceiling, one of Spain's finest examples still intact today.
The cathedral is a wonder, it is a living expression of history and the interweaving of Christian and Muslim culture. This is especially visible in the way the ceiling was decorated. Kindly request a local guide; it's interesting to learn the entire history and how the ceiling has held up over time. Otherwise, the intersection of relief and culture makes the entire city remarkable.

Wonderful cathedral. We paid 4 euro per ticket and entered 20 minutes before closing time - no one objected, and the ladies at the ticket office were very pleasant and polite. We had enough time to look around.

Wonderful cathedral. It is worth visiting with a guide, so that you get closer to the gem of the cathedral - exceptionally well preserved wooden roofing in the mudejar style from XIII century. Cathedral has also an amazing medieval altarpiece in the Coronation Chapel.

Beautiful wooden altar piece and amazing mudejar ceiling. Ticket can include entry to Bishop's Palace and its collection of artefacts. Some charming pictures of Mary with baby Jesus agéd 80ish!

My wife, our son and I drove 140 km from Valencia to visit the Cathedral. We approached its gates at 12:54. The doors were still open and last visitors were coming out of the Cathedral. But two ladies stopped us by telling that it’s already closed. We asked for at least two minutes inside just to have a glance at the interior. The time of us begging to let us in could have been better spent enjoying the beautiful inner roof and the altar. But the ladies were firm. Within next half an hour we saw them on the streets at least twice chatting about something. Most probably about very important things like how to make the city even more attractive for tourists at the times of pandemic.

The cathedral of Santa Maria De MediaVilla is an old beautiful church in the Teruel . We visited this church on Sunday. Entrance was free. The church is beautiful and amazing. The Provincial Museum of Teruel is a cultural gem housed in a stunning 16th-century palace. It offers a journey through the province's history, showcasing prehistoric, Iberian, Roman, and medieval artifacts. The museum also features valuable ethnographic pieces that provide insight into life in the region over the centuries. Visitors can explore archaeological finds and a collection of Teruel ceramics within the Casa de la Comunidad complex.
The city museum is inside of a beautiful 16th century building with many items and exhibitions to enjoy from the culture and history of the region! Takes about 2 hours but worth every minute! Make sure to enjoy the top floor and its scenery!

We randomly stoped to see what's this about . We had a great greeting by the staff and it was free ! Being free is something new to Spain because here everything is 12 euros hahahah The balcony views are incredible and the museum was beautiful. It's a good 1 hour of visiting . Go , take a look , take some pictures

Beautiful museum in the heart of the city. Four floors with lots of interesting artefacts but the best part is the roof terrace and the incredible views. Free to enter and really friendly staff.

I always visit the local/city museum and once more, they hit the nail on the head with the regular exhibition, very informative and entertaining concise videos and balanced story of the Teruel region since earliest time. Impressed by the toiling of the people living in the unforgiving mountainous region in the southernmost part of Aragon. Life must have been tough.

An excellent museum with static displays and useful and informative videos too. An excellent collection taking you right back to the Neanderthals. So much to see and do (both permanent and temporary exhibitions) and a wonderful viewpoint out over the cathedral too. There is a small shop for souvenirs. Staff very helpful and by the way it is free!

This is certain day the most important museum in Teruel and it is beautifully done. Unfortunately there is literally nothing in English or any other language but Spanish. The QR code for some admission information not work when I tried it. It is a bit of a pity that they make a very nice museum and then miss out on the last step to make it also for international guests attractive.

Excellent museum with free entry. The lady at the counter was friendly and provide me with the english brochure. She also helpful and explain to me how to go around even I could not understand spanish👍👍 On the top floor, you can see wonderful view of the city.

Besides the fact that the entrance was free, the museum is definitely worth a visit. Some of the ceramics is of very high quality, particularly the ones with figurative decorations. The Roman artifacts on display are few, but some are excellent samples. My only disappointment was the mosaic in the top floor. You can barely enjoy it in the way it is displayed. Perhaps mirrors on the ceiling would give us a better look?

Restaurante Caprichos is a delightful gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Known for its thin and crispy Roman-style pizzas, this charming eatery offers a cozy atmosphere where attentive service shines. The staff is not only friendly but also eager to accommodate special requests, ensuring your pizza toppings are just how you like them. The lasagne and pizza were very good, the lone cook in the kitchen was excellent and she worked hard. However the waitress was extremely rude to all. She didn't clear empty tables when vacant, tried to give us the bill before we had finished our main course and then asked for our pudding order. On leaving the restaurant we tried to tell this to the owner be he was rather inebriated and told us to leave. Maybe this is the complete Italian experience!

Portal de Guadalaviar is a modest hotel restaurant that offers innovative Spanish cuisine with a focus on vegan-friendly options. Visitors have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and attentive service. The menu del dia, which includes generous portions and free-flowing wine and water, has received praise. Guests particularly enjoyed the sopa de ajo, perfect for Teruel's cold weather. The establishment is recommended for its creative dishes, generous portion sizes, and friendly service at fair prices.
I was craving hot soup, something I found out is hard to come by here in Spain. I was lucky to have stumbled upon this place. Service was excellent, and they had what I was looking for! Sopa de ajo is one of the best dishes I've tried. It's comfy, and perfect for Teruel's cold weather. Other restaurants should imitate it and always have a bowl of hot soup or stew on the menu.

We had an excellent dining experience here, and would thoroughly recommend the establishment. The food was creatively served, yet the portion sizes were generous, which isn't always the case! The homemade croquettes are quite possibly the finest I've tasted and the main course of turbot was a delight. Friendly service too.

Stumbled in somewhat randomly with a group of five and was positively surprised by the quality of the food and service. The menu del dia offers great portions, my tuna carpaccio was both delicious and generous in size, and the servers were incredibly helpful and attentive (especially in offering information and substitutions for food allergies). The menu del día also includes as much wine and water as you’d like, and they are happy to leave a bottle at your table and offer seconds of bread etc. I’d definitely recommend or return here, especially given the wonderful service.

(Translated by Google) I'm sorry to comment on it, because the site looks good, but I'm going to detail our experience. The menu states very clearly, "table of DOP Ham with toasted bread, tomato and "oil from Bajo Aragón." Once they bring us the order, we check (you can see in the photo), that what the oil is. in the bread..., it is conspicuous by its most complete absence, so we tell it to a waitress who gives us an individual YBARRA oil, an oil that is not from lower Aragón, simply to fill the "dry" bread that us They had given us the first request. We did not find the experience pleasant, since the treatment with the customer is quite "dry". The beer was cold and very good, and the Ham, not knowing the DO Ham from Teruel, was. Good, but I still have the doubt if it is original from Teruel or not. I am left with the doubt, but it was good.

The Aqueduct of Los Arcos is a stunning 16th-century structure located in Teruel, Spain, also known as the Ciudad de los Amantes (city of lovers). Resembling Roman aqueducts, it served multiple functions until the 1950s when it ceased to carry water to the city. The middle section features deep arches and serves as a pathway for people to cross from one side to the city.

Teruel, Spain, known as the Ciudad de los Amantes (city of lovers). Beautiful 16th century aqueduct built imitating Roman aqueducts. It had 3 functions until 1950s +/-, when it stopped carrying water to the city. Middle part has deep arches and it's a path for people to cross from one side (la Arrabal) to the city. You can go to the centre to see El Torico square through the traitor's door. This door was opened by a traitor during a siege. Turolenses did not want their Jews and Arab friends and neighbours to go. Half of the population was killed because if that. Still, it was the last city in Spain to refuse them to go and stayed there for another 100 yrs until the siege. Teruel also endured 3 fronts during the civil war. Death bodies turned around so fast that they put 'cal' in the mass graves to put more in. Nobody knows whi is buried in them. Ending with a happy note, visit the lovers mausoleum in San Pedro's church. Or enjoy reliving their story in February.

Aljibe Medieval, located in the Plaza del Torico, offers a fascinating glimpse into Teruel's history. The well ruins served as rainwater storage and now provide a unique experience for visitors. For a small fee, guests can explore the medieval world inside the cisterns and learn about their significance in water collection and defense strategies. The site also features modern facilities that seamlessly blend with the ancient surroundings.
(Translated by Google) Charming and very well run. The visit is worth it. It's beautiful. Entering the cisterns is like a medieval world and that is what the kids like the most. (Translated by Google) The combined ticket with the Teruel City Walls costs just €1.70 at the reduced rate. This is a real bargain, as visiting both sites is a true pleasure. Everything is very well explained, and there's absolutely no feeling of claustrophobia, as the spaces are generally spacious, with modern layouts and white colors that create a sense of openness. The visit was a great experience and includes an informative film about the site and the city, projected in one of the cisterns, which, as you'll see in the photos, is quite large. Highly recommended. (Translated by Google) A very interesting visit where they will tell us about Teruel's problems in obtaining water, not only in the Middle Ages but also in the Modern Age. We will be able to see two cisterns (or underground water tanks) and they will also tell us a lot about the aqueduct. It was very useful to us. Furthermore, access is very cheap, only €1.5 (you can combine it for €2.5 with the walls, which we didn't do). The cisterns were built in the 14th century and were responsible for collecting water, storing it and distributing it through public fountains. They were mainly used to have water when one could not leave the city (wars and sieges, mainly). It is very curious to see this medieval civil engineering system.

(Translated by Google) This Monument to the Vaquilla (Cowboy) is a very beautiful and symbolic work by the Rubielos de Mora sculptor José Gonzalvo. This sculpture was originally located on the Paseo del Óvalo, but after renovations, it was moved to its current location at the entrance to the Fernando Hué pedestrian viaduct in the city of Teruel, in a small garden with benches facing the Ronda de Ambeles. This work is a composition of welded sheet iron, composed of three figures that are protagonists of Teruel's major festivals: the angel, the bull, and the vaquillero (cowboy). Crowning the ensemble is a star as a symbol of the city. The sculpture stands on a stone pedestal. On the sides of the pedestal are four scroll-shaped engraved plaques that read as follows: 1. This monument symbolizes the traditional festival of the Vaquilla del Ángel (Cowboy) of Teruel. Its origin dates back to August 31, 1679. 2. The bull, the star, the angel, and the vaquillero (cowboy). Symbols of the city's founding and the Vaquilla del Ángel (Angel's Vaquilla). 3. The Vaquilla del Ángel (Angel's Vaquilla) should be celebrated "on the second Sunday after Saint Peter's Day and the closest to Saint Christopher's Day." 4. A work by sculptor José Gonzalvo. Inaugurated on July 6, 1985. A visit to this monument is highly recommended, as well as the pedestrian viaduct and the rest of the beautiful city of Teruel, which also boasts several Mudejar-style buildings declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The service was efficient but sullen. Certainly didn't feel welcome. Not their fault but the table next to us were all smoking and it constantly blew over us. (Translated by Google) We ate on October 12th. The food wasn't bad, it tasted good, but the service was terrible. We were surprised that the waitress who served us didn't write down our orders, which we told her, and asked if she was going to remember everything, to which she replied yes, no problem. We ordered a children's menu of croquettes, and she brought us a sirloin steak, and we had to tell her she'd made a mistake and asked her to change it. She then brought out the main courses one at a time, not at the same time, so some people ate but others didn't. The final straw was when the hamburger we had ordered hadn't arrived, and we saw that tables that had ordered much later than us were being served plates. We asked, and the waitress hadn't ordered it. We asked if she could please make it for us, and she still hadn't appeared. We asked again, and she told us they were just putting it on the grill. We told her we didn't want it anymore and that she could please bring the check. Another waitress brought us the bill, apologized, and told us she was buying us a drink. She did, however, put the burger on the bill. Thank goodness we checked the bill and told her. The same thing happened at the table next to us; someone went without food because their plate didn't come out. Terrible service. Servicio nefasto.

Very good food, perfectly prepared. Only negative thing was the very unfriendly guy who served us, absolutely unhospitable.

(Translated by Google) Excellent weekday menu at €15.5, quality well balanced with price, service and room. It is worth wandering around until you find it.

(Translated by Google) Totally recommended, exceptional treatment, very good attention and the exquisite taste and preparation of the food. I ordered rice with duck and mushrooms that was super tasty, then cod with black olives and Iberian ratatouille that was very good. For dessert, puff pastry filled with chocolate with cream ice cream. Perfect combination. And the menu only €15.50. It's a shame that because of its hidden location, it's not easily found, because it's worth it.

(Translated by Google) Without a doubt the change in management has been positive. Very reasonable price for the quality it offers. The wine list is also very well priced.
