Oia in 3 days

If you only have 3 days to spend in Oia, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Picture a Greek fishing village perched on the edge of a crater overlooking the deep blue Aegean Sea. Blue domes and white houses line the steep, narrow streets of Oia, a small village on the island of Santorini. Marbled castles, like the Castle of St. Nicholas and churches such as the Church of Panagia and Agios Georgios, lie interspersed with cafes and street vendors in the maze of streets. At sunset, the village's whitewashed stone buildings take on a golden glow, and the view from the cliff-top restaurants of Oia are one of the most photographed in the world.
With favorites like Lucky's Souvlakis, Ammoudi Bay, and Castle of Oia, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like King Neptune and Kastro Restaurant Oia so you can get the best taste of Oia while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Castle of Oia

Castle
The Castle of Oia is a Renaissance-era fortress erected to safeguard against pirates. A surviving watchtower of the castle provides stunning views of the sea. The ruins are situated on a hilltop in Oia, a village in Santorini, and offer one of the most breathtaking views of both the village and its magnificent sunset. Tourists often gather at this spot with wine to admire nature's beautiful spectacle.
It offers a tranquil, stunning and unforgettable view of sunsetting over Aegean Sea. The surrounding areas also look stunning. There were music, playful cats and ,of course, a vibrant crowd as companions. The catamarans and cruises make the view lively. Love it.

Oia - one of the most popular attractions on Santorini. Perched on top of the cliffs, it offers stunning views. It gets crowded, so you might wait for the perfect photo. The vibe is amazing: people dress like it’s a fashion show, making the whole place look stylish and beautiful.

Beautiful views amongst the remaining rubble. Peaceful and makes you want to spend the rest of your life here. -Not for mobility challenged individuals. See all of this while you are physically able before it’s too late.

A must go to and visit place, if you are on holiday on Santorini, Greece. Highlights the fabulous white and blue buildings over look the volcano. Definitely a place to be during sunset. Great restaurants and if you a table for the sunset, pre book is a must.

The castle is a great place to see the sunset from, but even in less than peak times it is crowded. Either come an hour before sunset or, even better, find an alternative spot. The sunset is indeed amazing

The Castle of Oia offers one of the most breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. By day, the endless blue horizon sparkles under the sun, framed by the whitewashed village cascading down the cliffs. At night, the scene transforms into pure magic—twinkling lights of Oia blend with the starlit sky, casting a serene glow over the sea. It’s a truly unforgettable experience, perfect for soaking in the romance and charm of Santorini.

Worth the visit and to reach this part of the town! Beautiful views of Oia and the ocean. Definitely prepare for very large crowds. This part of Santorini, while beautiful, was my least favorite to spend a lot of time at. Very small streets and so many people aimlessly walking. But there are great viewpoints like this one that make it worthwhile to visit.

The Castle of Oia, also known as Saint Nicolas Castle, is a Renaissance-era fortress with a surviving watchtower that once guarded against pirates. It's renowned as the most sought-after sunset spot in Santorini, where visitors flock to capture the famous sunset view. While it's undeniably awe-inspiring, there are other serene and less crowded spots across the island to enjoy the beauty of the sunset.

Love stopping at any ancient ruins! Very crowded location but great views. The best part was finding a little souvenir shop with local artist artwork on our way traversing down the little streets to the ruins!

Built by Venetians in the early XVI century as a strategic defense against pirate invasions. Much of the fortress was destroyed by earthquakes and now in ruins. Only the top part is accessible, but it still worth getting there because of the awesome panoramic views.

Bodies of Water
Ammoudi Bay, also known as the old port of Oia, is a charming and tiny port located just a short distance from the center of Oia. Accessible by foot, donkey ride, or car, this picturesque bay offers crystal-clear waters and a romantic sunset view. Visitors can enjoy traditional taverns serving fresh seafood right by the sea. For adventure seekers, there's a path leading down to the water with sailing excursions departing from there.
Took us about 15 minutes to walk down but much longer to walk up because the steps are huge. There’s also donkey poop all around so you might not want to wear your white shoes or new shoes here.. Nevertheless, the view at the bay was great and i still think it’s worth the trip down from top of oia.
Yingying — Google review
Was roughly a 10minute walk from the top of Oia, there is seats along the way down to help rest if needed. Once at the bottom you will see restaurants, if you continue going left the path continues and you will be able to find a little cove of crystal clear water.
Todd - — Google review
A quaint port with some lovely restaurants and spectacular views. Access via the road is easier than the steps but not as pretty. The walk up is gruelling but you can get a donkey! Don't make my mistake and wear flip flops! Trainers or walking shoes will make the walk much easier.

One of the highlights of the island! The steep hike up and down is worth it, the restaurants lining the water, the beach and the block to jump off of. A must!
Maxime S — Google review
Tough walk in the heat but well worth it. Stunning secluded bay with lovely places to eat and drink. No surprise it’s expensive to sit down and eat. Make sure you’ve got water for the walk back to the top😅🇬🇷😎

We rented a boat and went over to Amouthi Bay. Such a fun experience! The views are so amazing. We ate and shopped. Definitely worth a visit here!

Great spot to watch the sunset , just follow the yellow path through the restaurants once you go down the stairs . A little intimidating walking past several parked donkeys. Do not good you have weak knees or out of shape as there are stairs to climb

Ammoudi Fish Tavern, located below Oia in the picturesque Ammoudi bay, offers a modern yet traditional dining experience with a Mediterranean atmosphere. The restaurant prides itself on using high-quality local ingredients and serves classic Greek dishes alongside fresh seafood and desserts. Guests can enjoy their meal on the terrace overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean sea, creating an unforgettable dining experience.
We had a wonderful experience at Amnoudi! The restaurant has a stunning view and a lovely atmosphere perfect for enjoying the sunset. The food and drinks was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. A special thank you to Petros and Letsas, who were amazing from start to finish. They greeted us with a smile, were incredibly kind and attentive, and even chose one of the best tables in the restaurant for us. Their warm and friendly service made our evening truly special! Highly recommend Amnoudi not only for the food and the view but also for the outstanding service.👏🏻🤩

Petros and Letsas were amazing, friendly, helpful. Food is 10/10. Steamed mussels, fried calamari and Taramas would recommend. Didn’t save room for the Sea Bass but will come back and try. Patio seating on the water is beautiful. Would be great place to watch sunset.

What an amazing dinning experience: espectacular view, very attentive staff and best of all, fresh and delicious food. We enjoyed all of our dishes and loved the baklava! Pricy, but the view by the sea and the quality of the food definitely worthy!

Celebrated my birthday here with my fiancé and it’s one I will never forget. Pedros, Dimitris and George made me feel so special on my birthday! We had the fish platter which was absolutely delicious. The setting is gorgeous and the staff are so welcoming. Would definitely come back here and recommend!

Letsas, Petros and Ilias are absolutely wonderful, we had the best experience of dining in Oia Santorini. The food is outstanding - we had sun-dried grilled Octopus which is highly recommended, fried calamari and grilled Seabass from their caught of the day menu. Thank you so much for the unforgettable lunch at beautiful Ammoudi Bay!! Bellies full hearts full! ❤️

I had a wonderful dinner here with an incredible sunset view. I celebrated my birthday with delicious dishes, and even though I had read many reviews saying it’s overrated, I believe it’s truly an experience. In the end, the location, the view, the attention to detail, and the execution of the dishes make it special. Prices are indeed on the higher side, but it’s part of the unique setting.

We had an amazing experience at Ammoudi Fish Tavern! The fish was absolutely the best we’ve ever had, and the cocktails were on point. Huge thanks to Letsas and Harry for arranging such a beautiful table right by the water, it made the meal even more special. The service was fantastic, friendly, and attentive, and we truly felt well taken care of. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to enjoy the incredible food and the stunning views. Definitely a must-visit! 😊

If I could, I would give 10 stars! This was the most incredible experience we have ever had. The service here is the definition of the absolute greatest. George, the Manager, Peter and Michael took care of us as if we were family. They gave us a tour of the restaurant and provided us with the type of Service that we could only have dreamed of. The food was absolutely spectacular. Everything from the beginning to end was heaven. The views were spectacular. It was so amazing that we are coming back tomorrow night again.

It's known for its romantic ambiance during sunset, making reservations highly recommended. The restaurant serves meze, perfect for sharing with a significant other.
The place is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. I loved everything I ordered. It was one of the great food experiences on the island. The ingredients are fresh and the preparation is authentic.

It’s a nice restaurant. The food was good, the price is average for Oia. The three different dips with pita was good but a little bit disappointed that the shrimps was served without any side, not even a bread. My swordfish was ok. It was a nice evening there even the weather was not very nice.
Som M — Google review
One of the best meals we’ve had in Greece, and such a cute setting with the sunset, cats and windmills. We came here twice it was so good. All the dips were great especially the tzatziki. The grilled octopus was the best we’ve had ever, and meatballs and feta parcels were excellent. Local white wine topped it off, and the vinsantos at the end finished it off nicely

A Hidden Gem in Oia – A Must-Visit! We stumbled upon this incredible Greek spot in Oia by chance, and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip so far. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff was not only friendly but genuinely knowledgeable about the menu and the local ingredients, which made the experience even more special. As for the food – it was hands down the best we’ve had during our time in Greece. Every dish was fresh, beautifully prepared, and bursting with flavor. You can tell there’s real care and tradition behind what they serve. Whether you’re just passing through or spending a few days in Santorini, this place is well worth a visit. A true hidden gem we’ll be talking about long after the trip is over.

We visited Oia in our last sat at Santorini and chose this tavern for dinner First if all, very easy reservation through their web site. When you show up, a great wellcome, Kostas and his team are the kindest I have seen in the island When you visit Oia, it is important to have a good view, so restaurant has literally it Regarding food, I would like to thank them to keep traditional Greek kitchen with very resanoable prices insuch a place where there is aggressive tourism There is also good selection of wines both from Santorini and other parts if Greece, again with reasonable prices I would like to thank you again, especially for kindness of all stuff

Greek Orthodox church
Place of worship
The Church of Panagia Akathistos Hymn is a stunning example of Santorini's architecture, featuring traditional whitewashed walls, a blue dome, and a six-piece bell tower. Located in the main square, it offers a picturesque setting for visitors to admire and photograph. The church's interior is said to be equally impressive and worth a quick visit.
This is the church where I had my beautiful Orthodox wedding. Beautiful church, inside and out. Very blessed and lucky to have been married in this church. ✝️

We passed by this church while waiting for the sunset in Oia. Although we didn’t go inside, we stopped to take photos outside. The lighting and shadows on the church made it a beautiful spot to pause and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Very quiet during the off-season.
Alec T — Google review
Tucked away in the stunning village of Oia, the Panagia Akathist Holy Church is a small yet spiritually rich Orthodox church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary and the Akathist Hymn. Its traditional Cycladic architecture, peaceful surroundings, and beautiful sea views make it a quiet refuge from the bustling tourist streets. Though not as famous as some other landmarks, it offers a genuine sense of serenity and local devotion. Perfect for a short visit or simply enjoying the charm of Oia beyond the postcard photos.
Ufuk Y — Google review
Its on the way from the parking to the 3 Domes, I love the cute bell tower.
Ivy N — Google review
Beyond its religious significance, the Church of Panagia Akathistos Hymn also serves as a cultural landmark, showcasing the island's deep-rooted traditions and timeless beauty. Its hilltop location offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, providing a perfect backdrop for moments of quiet contemplation or photography.
Ajay K — Google review
Lovely church. We went pass by this church when we were hiking from Fira to Oia.
Chan T — Google review
Very beautiful church. You can walk in and tour the inside. One of the biggest on the island.
Michael T — Google review
I visited the Church of Panagia Akathistos in Hymn, Santorini, and it was a truly serene and memorable experience. The church is beautifully maintained, with classic Cycladic architecture — crisp white walls, a charming blue dome, and delicate details that make it instantly recognizable. The setting is peaceful, tucked away from the busier tourist areas, which allows you to enjoy a quiet moment of reflection while taking in the surrounding views. The interior is simple yet elegant, with icons and artwork that convey a sense of history and devotion. I went in the late afternoon when the sunlight hit the white walls just right, creating a calm and almost magical atmosphere. It’s an ideal spot for photography, as well as for appreciating the quiet beauty of Santorini beyond the usual crowded viewpoints. Whether you’re interested in local history, architecture, or just seeking a peaceful place to pause, the Church of Panagia Akathistos is worth a visit. It captures the charm and spirituality of the island in a way that feels both authentic and intimate.

Nice place with a fantastic view! The atmosphere is really good, and the staff is friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall experience. The food is decent, not exceptional, but still enjoyable. It’s a great spot to relax and spend time, especially if you’re looking for a place with a beautiful view.

While walking around Oia on Santorini we were looking for roof top dining and found King Neptune. We were greeted by the friendly staff and they were able to accommodate our party of 8. The drinks were first and were good. The Tiki was a fan favorite. Our food came out and everything looked and tasted good as well. We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The let down came at the end when we asked to split our bill, over a week in Greece and we have never had a problem. No mention of no splitting tabs. We were told it's a new tax system here on this island so no one can do it. Otherwise a nice time

For drinks we had local rose and white wines, not so great - I didn’t like the wine on all island. The saganaki was great, both pasta very tasty. The salad also nice. I reccomed!

we were lucky enough to secure a fantastic corner table for a Sunset dinner at King Neptune. The venue, food and service was excellent, with the views sublime. when visiting Oia do yourself a favour and enjoy a meal at King Neptune.
Ian D — Google review
King Neptune restaurant is a family-run rooftop eatery in Oia featuring Greek cuisine and scenic views of the South Agean sea and the Santorini caldera. My crew spent a day in Santorini and we were looking for a spot to take in the views and seafood after walking around in Oia. Customer service was solid and food and beverages came out in a reasonable time frame. We ordered the: • Bread Service • Deep, Fried Starters • Sanotini’s Fava • Black Angus Burger • Seafood Risotto • Chicken Souvlaki • Shrimps Saganaki • Salmon Fillet • Spaghetti Bolognese The bread was solid with a very flavorful tzatziki sauce. Santorini’s Fava were mashed yellow peas with tomato, oil, onion, and capers. It reminded me of mashed potatoes and the capers added nice flavor. The Deep, Fried Starters consisted of • Tomato balls (tomato, onion, parsley, spearmint, dill, chili, flour) • Zucchini croquettes • Cheese pies. They were solid but not memorable. The sauce (tomato, feta cheese, green pepper, Tabasco) in the Shrimps Saganaki needed a little more salt but the shrimp were well prepared. We enjoyed the very buttery seafood risotto, containing mussels, shrimp, scallops, onion, bell peppers, and parmesan. The Spaghetti Bolognese, was a delicious combination of beef, onion, garlic, white wine, tomato, and parsley. The chicken souvlaki and the salmon fillet were delicious. The Black Angus Burger was just okay.

Nice view to the bay, the place is impeccable, the food is very good, price are average compared with other restaurants in the area. They have a very nice spot to take pictures with the church at the fond and the staff is great. The only thing I see as inconvenience is that the roof doesn't cover completely the tables, so you can receive some of the sun on you and it can be a little hot in the afternoon. I strongly recommend the chicken souvlaki, it's delicious! Fries are amazing by the way!

Greek restaurant
Perched on a rocky headland in Hora, Kastro Restaurant Oia offers stunning views of the caldera and the changing colors of the sunset. The 14th-century fortress, now mostly in ruins, provides a majestic backdrop for enjoying delicious Greek and Mediterranean dishes. While the food may not be exceptional, the breathtaking location makes it an ideal spot to admire the sunset. With limited seating, reservations can be challenging, so planning ahead is recommended.
We booked the sunset slot for dinner and it was incredible! The staff are lovely, the food was even better than we expected and the views were beautiful. Highly recommend this restaurant to watch the infamous Oia sunset.

Great location, amazing sunset. Appetizers and main dishes that we ordered were really good and tasty. Had to wait for 25 mins until the staff took our order but the place was nice so we did not mind the long wait. Would recommend this place to catch a beautiful sunset dinner.

🍷 Chill, Relaxed with an amazing sunset🍸🌇 Loved this spot! The food was fresh and flavorful, and the drinks paired perfectly. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service made it a really nice dinner out. Reasonable price for the location. I would recommend making reservations ahead of time. Unforgettable sunset and views made it an amazing experience.

Great restaurant with nice food and helpful staff, panoramic views towards Thirasia. Called in for lunch and chose salad for a light meal, service a little slow, but no issues as we have all the time in the world! Slight disappointment was that they didn't have any mixed salad available, but all the other salads were available? Noteworthy comment is that it's a non-smoking restaurant, unusual but perfect for us - well done 👍

The spectacular view of the sunset, the top notch service, and fantastic food all created One of the most amazing meals of my life. Also, had one of the best aperol spritz I ever had. Highly recommend the Tagliatelle and Tzatziki.
Kristi L — Google review
This restaurant is fantastic. Reserve in advance and in person to have dinner during golden hour. Expect a 20 euro fee that will be returned once you sit down for your reservation. The food was delicious, I recommend the Lamb Fillet and Moussaka Croquet. I think the staff were extremely professional and patient in the way they managed guests and the folks loitering in the front of the restaurant blocking the sunset view.
Roman Z — Google review
Paying for the view - food was so-so. We reserved a table for the sunset - which was beautiful, but the food wasn't worth the high prices. My lemoncello spritz was watered down and not fizzy at all. They only have 1 white and 1 red wine by the glass, which were nothing special. The kalamari app was pretty good and seasoned well, but the shrimp pastas desperately needed salt. And 4 mediocre sized shrimp for 32 euros was not worth it. If I could do it again, I'd pick a different spot for my sunset meal.
Carrie D — Google review
It's a beautiful spot to watch the sunset, and the food was quite good. There were fewer staff around because it was the end of the season, but the service was still great.

Restaurant
Dimitris Ammoudi Taverna is a charming seaside restaurant located in the old fisherman's harbor of Hammoudi Bay, offering stunning views of the Santorini castle. The taverna serves a simple yet delicious menu featuring fresh-caught seafood, local delicacies like fava and tomatokeftedes, and traditional small plates. It's recommended to make reservations for dinner, especially if you want a table by the water with an hour before sunset for a breathtaking experience.
We had dinner and watched the sunset at Dimitris Ammoudi Tavern, and it was hands-down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Greece. The walk down was easy, and the return in the dark wasn’t bad at all. We scored a table right on the water—small waves practically kissed our feet. We started with tomato fritters, a local specialty, and they were absolutely delicious. Then came the highlight: a whole snapper we picked out ourselves, grilled to perfection. With just lemon, olive oil, and a dash of pepper, it tasted like it jumped straight from the bay onto our plate. The hand-cut fries were crisp and golden, the wine was flowing, and we were in full-on foodie heaven. Pro tip: reserve your spot via email—Joy, the owner, is a total sweetheart and will take great care of you.

This was our first and last meal in Santorini, getting down there is a bit of work, it’s well worth it. The seafood tasted like it was caught a few hours ago, the octopus was the highlight the seafood rice is amazing too. We spent around 100 for a meal for two.

My husband and I enjoyed the food and ambiance very much. We loved sitting along the water. We had the octopus, grilled red snapper, lobster linguine and grilled vegetables. Absolutely delicious and so fresh. Service was excellent. Definitely make a reservation in advance.

Dinner at Dmitri’s was the highlight of our stay in Santorini! The view is absolutely stunning - we had a table RIGHT on the water! The service was impeccable. Our waiter Dmitri’s was the best! The food and cocktails were delicious. We had the Greek salad and prawn pasta for an entree - yum! And the orange cake was to die for! We will definitely be going back the next time we are in Greece!

Had a lovely lunch here in a fabulous setting. The owner and staff were extremely friendly but the star of the show was the food. Local fresh seafood that was to die for. The Prawns Sakanaki were amazing, so too the seafood rice. Even the fries and pitta bread were fabulous. Loved this place

Unfortunately a 2 star food experience with a 5 star location. We got the seafood for 2, so I feel like we probably got a good sampling of their food. Mussels tasted like they were basically just cooked in salt water-- no real flavor beyond the lemon we squeezed over. The smallest and least tasty greek salad we had in Greece. The best was the octopus and the grilled fish, but to be honest we had better elsewhere. Normally I don't like to leave poor reviews but this was by far the most we spent on food for our whole trip and unfortunately our most mediocre dinner. The view and the table directly on the water were truly fantastic, and perhaps we caught them on a bad night, but I just wanted to leave a warning. We left pretty disappointed.

Joy and Dimitri are super friendly and cook some amazing seafood! We had the red snapper with a side of linguini and it was perfectly grilled! Absolutely will return!

The location is beautiful and perfect to see the sunset in Oia. The food is delicious and the service is amazing. They make sure you feel welcome and well cared for. You are not just any other tourist - as in other places in Santorini. Well worth the stairs, but I recommend getting a cab instead. 😅

Santorini is renowned for its breathtaking sunsets, which have become a social media sensation. The island's traditional Greek restaurants, such as Metaxi Mas and Kokkalo, offer an authentic culinary experience favored by locals. While Oia is famous for sunset views, other parts of the island also offer stunning vistas. Visitors praise the remarkable views and excellent food at local restaurants, with special mention of the warm hospitality from staff members like Katerina.
Views on views! Specialty cocktails, good and beautiful views. Intimate place overlooking the volcanoe amd other islands. Upstairs seating as well. Drinks were delicious and refreshing. Served cold beer as well!

The best place in Oia for drinks with amazing sunset. Atmosphere, climate, music, people-just everything. Really, I can recommend this place with all my heart to everyone that want to chill, drink delicious drinks in a good, and nice place:) Price, location, view…. Nothing matters. Go there and chill

We had a wonderful dinner with a spectacular view. The food was excellent and service friendly. However, we ordered Terrasea Mikra Thira (125 €), but were served Santorini Mikra Thira instead. When we asked, we were told it was the same wine from Thirassia, which is not correct according to the producer. For a restaurant of this level, we expect transparency about the wine list. Otherwise a memorable experience, but please be more accurate about the wines.

We stumbled across this restaurant by complete chance when looking for a nice spot to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset. We were extremely impressed with what followed! The location is perfect and the atmosphere is just lovely. We decided to have dinner which was a wonderful decision as the food was excellent and very reasonably priced given the prime location of the restaurant. The staff made the experience even more perfect with their attentive attitude which included bringing blankets to each of us when the temperature got a little bit chilly! They couldn’t have been anymore accommodating. Sunsets was without a doubt the best experience we had dining out on our holiday in Santorini. I highly recommend this place!

Officially our favorite place for dinner in Oia. During our stay in Santorini, we went here twice for dinner. The sunset view is beyond words and the food is delicious! The watermelon feta salad is to die for and the best I’ve had. Their drinks are outstanding and just the whole vibe of this place plus the excellent staff/management here is amazing. Will definitely be back and hopefully they remember us.

Fantastic place to have a drink or snack, watch the sunset, and chill. The music and service was great. Sunset view was phenomenal. Rooftop dining also looked wonderful but we only did drinks.

Great hideout in Oia, it’s a good place for a stop over amid all the steps Oia could offer. The ice latte is delicious! Staff are friendly. Not to mention the view.
Lester K — Google review
One of the best experiences of our lives! We didn’t book a table here as we arrived 2 hours before sunset however I would recommend booking as it got very busy and lots of people were turned away. Arguably the best sunset view in the whole of Santorini! From 6pm for the roof terrace it is a minimum of €70 per person however it is definitely worth it! The food was really good & the service was amazing, so kind! We also were given blankets after the sun had set as it got a bit chilly. Would recommend this to anyone and everyone if you come to Santorini!

Specialty Museums
The Museum of Prehistoric Thera is a small but impressive archaeology museum located in the picturesque capital of Santorini, Thira. Divided into four units, the museum showcases ancient artifacts from different periods of the island's history, including the Late Neolithic to the Late Cycladic period and the mature Late Cycladic period.
Very good. Being indoors was a bonus so you're not in the sun! Found out afterwards that you can buy a ticket which includes the museum in Fira but the cost isn't too much when buying separately. Staff were very friendly. Unfortunately when we visited we were not able to walk between the ruins due to the earthquakes earlier in the year and the possibility of more but still an amazing visit.
Tom H — Google review
Beautiful! The frescoes are awe-inspiring. Good interpretation and lots to enjoy. I really enjoyed my visit to this museum!
Hannah S — Google review
An interesting, small museum — the visit will take less than an hour. The €10 entrance fee is greatly overpriced. There’s a toilet inside, but it’s poorly cleaned and has an unpleasant smell. The air conditioning barely works, making the halls stuffy, especially on the basement level. Nice place, but too expensive.
Anastasiya P — Google review
Great museum! All the artifacts nicely laid out with excellent lighting and descriptions in English. It was very neat to see the ancient artwork! Just be sure to also visit the ancient ruins in Akotiri. It pulls it altogether and completes the journey you will experience!
Lisa K — Google review
Great small museum (which is a plus, since there are a lot to do in Santorini) containing artifacts from Santorini's bronze age. The fresco excavated from the ancient Akrotiri are stunning and it's worth visiting the museum just to see them.
Andrey K — Google review
Fascinating museum that we went to the day after going to Akrotiri and so so saw the artifacts and wall paintings that were found at that site and referred to in the information boards around the site. Beautiful things, their homes must have been stunning - or at least those of the better off. The museum shows them off really well. Not huge - took us around an hour - but well worth seeing. Puts the site in context.

Very nice exhibition. You can see and try to imagine how life in ancient Greece looked like. Exhibition is not big but worth seeing.

The Three Bells of Fira, also known as the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, is a much-photographed church with its distinctive blue dome and whitewashed walls offering stunning views of the Aegean Sea. It's a popular spot in Fira and has been featured on many postcards.
What a remarkable, stunning, breathtaking view of Santorini! One of the most inspiring spots in all of the island. Set your camera down or your phone down. Take some pictures, sure. But remember to stop and enjoy the view. There is nothing in the world like it.

Well worth the walk up, or the donkey ride but the cable cars take all the strain out of it! We arrived via cruise ship so had cable cars included, we then walked for miles and found the Three Bells of Fira. Beautiful no other words!

So beautiful! Definitely worth visiting and taking pictures! Lines can great pretty crazy, They are ways to access them if you are staying in Oia or go very early (7am)

We followed the signs to the Three Bells of Fira and it was worth it. The viewpoint offers a stunning panorama of the caldera, with the iconic blue-domed church perfectly framed against the Aegean Sea. You can also see Skaros Rock and the cliffside villages in the distance
Clifton P — Google review
The Three Bells of Fira is one of the most iconic photo spots in Santorini, but here’s a tip: don’t just navigate to the church itself. To capture the classic postcard view, you need to walk around to the back via another path and search for “Viewpoint” instead. Totally worth it for the perfect shot!
Alec T — Google review
It’s a beautiful spot and definitely a must-see—but honestly, it was very overrated. The crowds were overwhelming, people pushing for photos, and the whole area felt like a chaotic mess. It completely took away from the serene essence you’d expect from Santorini. I left feeling more stressed than inspired. If you want to enjoy it, avoid going during peak summer season. The view is lovely, but the experience during high season was disappointing.
Abe D — Google review
Beautiful place to visit in Santorini. Must see the blue domes but there are plenty to see and go down different alleyways rather than queue to get photos.

Worth the walk, albeit a very blustery walk. The view is better from the back, from the front you cannot see the blue dome 💙

Book store
Atlantis Books E.E. is a charming bookstore located in the center of Oia Town, Santorini Island. It offers a diverse collection of fiction and non-fiction books in various languages including Greek, French, English, Spanish, and Chinese. The store is divided into three floors with steep stairs leading to underground and ground floor bookstores filled with an array of literary works from around the world.
This charming little bookstore tucked into the cliffs of Oia is a literary treasure. The collection is wonderfully eclectic—ranging from rare first editions of classics to poetry by writers like Billy Collins. Every nook is filled with personality, from handwritten quotes and quirky signs to fascinating memorabilia. There’s a relaxed, breezy reading area where you can soak in the atmosphere. The friendly cats lounging around only add to the magic.

I loved, loved, loved this bookstore! One of the best bookshops I have ever visited and it became a surprise highlight of our trip to Santorini. I expected great food, beautiful food, amazing sunsets and cruise ship crowds......what I wasn't expecting was a brilliant book shop, with lovely, knowledgeable staff, great music and some surprise first editions too, as well as books in translation. I could not recommend this bookshop more. It's wonderful.

Had i not gonna travel for the rest of the 11sth mths I'd really like to buy a few books and take back home with me. I wish they had more merchs about the bookstore too for backpackers with little room in their bags to still be able to take a piece If good memory with them❤️

Great bookstore with a nice atmosphere and gentle background music. There is a covered space for browsing books before purchasing. Staff are friendly and not at all pushy. The store itself is quirky, with a few random items and some interesting photos around the walls.

This is such a cute bookstore. Everything inside is specially curated. I found the first illustrated versions of picture of Dorian Gray here. The store also beautifully tells you the story of its owners and how they formed the book store. They have an English section as well. There are 2 very well behaved dogs adding to the vibe. I think this is much more than a bookstore - its a story that the owners created over time.

Nestled in the heart of Fira, the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist stands as a testament to Santorini's rich history and architectural beauty. This Catholic cathedral, originally constructed in 1923 and later renovated after an earthquake in 1956, showcases exquisite 18th-century decor and intricate sandstone architecture. Its stunning painted ceilings are a feast for the eyes, making it a must-visit landmark while exploring this vibrant island.
Really beautiful church and cathedral. We came on Palm Sunday and there was a mass on at 10am. It was mix of locals and tourists there. Father was so welcoming and greeting everyone. Mass was mainly in Greek and some parts (bible reading and .. ) were read in English. Really happy to be part of the celebration today.
Shanu D — Google review
We visited during the off-season and were lucky to find the cathedral empty and peaceful. After walking from the center of Fira, it was the perfect spot to rest. The interior is calm and serene — a truly soothing space that felt spiritually refreshing. A lovely stop in town.

There's nothing I enjoy better than visiting a church. This one was on a hill (like most of Greece) lol. It wasn't crowded at all. I went inside to light a candle and found it to be so peaceful. It was quiet and as the signs on the outside stated, "a stress free zone". I truly loved it here.

Beautiful cathedral! 10am mass 3rd Sunday of Easter. Father greeted all before and asked couples how many years they had been married and at the end had one couple (47 yrs) and another (5 days) join him for a blessing at the pascal candle and then blessed all marriages.

We visited Fira on a Sunday afternoon. The cathedral is beautiful! The cathedral was open for visitors. Signs on the door ask that you be quiet and remove your hat. The inside was so peaceful. It is a quiet place for reflection and/or prayer. There are candles which you can light. Simply beautiful! There is no fee to visit.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars – Holy Cathedral of Fira (Santorini, Greece) The Holy Cathedral in Fira is absolutely beautiful and rich in history. The architecture is stunning, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it a must-see while in Santorini. Whether you stop in for quiet reflection or simply to admire the art and views, it’s a truly special place that captures the island’s spirit.

Sunday Mass was at a consistent time of 10:00 AM as posted. The priest and community was very welcoming to tourists and had a translator assisting. There were multiple worship aids in various languages that followed along that particular Sunday. All were encouraged to respond in their own language. After Mass the priest gave blessings to married couples. The music was also beautiful.

Skaros Rock is a centuries-old castle ruin perched on a rugged outcrop, offering breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. This long-lost citadel in Santorini is a romantic and secluded spot to witness the mesmerizing sunset, steeped in the island's rich history and imposing atmosphere. Accessible via a steep track, it provides an ideal vantage point for admiring the glorious sunset.
Great little hike not for those who need assistance. It is a hiking trail that is at the bottom of a very steep set of concrete steps. I would estimate about 100 steps to get to the bottom so you can then transfer to a gravel trail. I loved the hike and the exercise it was excellent and absolutely what I anticipated.. I will just say that it is NOT for the folks who would need assistance.
Brian L — Google review
Lovely place to go for a short hike of roughly 60 minutes. The views from the rock are breathtaking and best to hike it in the morning (especially during hot summer months) when you get plenty of shaded area on the other side of the rock with lots of breeze thay feels quite refreshing. There is a lovely church on the back side and lots of amazing view points.

I climbed Skaros Rock last year and again this year, right to the base of the summit. Below is the pretty Panagia Theoskepas Chapel. I wanted to reach the top of the rock, but I haven't found the access path yet. However, I regularly see people at the very top. Tourists without climbing gear! How do they manage? I would like to succeed. Despite everything, a beautiful landscape unfolds before us. Simply magnificent...
M-Francoise C — Google review
This is one of the best hiking trails in Santorini. It’s not very long but includes some ups and downs — part of the trail goes through village stairs and part over rugged terrain. The views are stunning, and on the rock itself, you can see the remains of an ancient fortress. A truly recommended hike!
Hila — Google review
A great hike that is definitely not for those in need to assistance. We walked from Santorini Princess so it was all in all good cardio. From actually starting the Skaros Rock trail to the second church in the other side of the point and back it took about 1 hour and another 1/2 hour for taking pictures, but my partner and I were setting a fast pace. BRING/WEAR TENNIS SHOES IF YOU WANT TO MAKE IT ARUBD THE ROCK TO THE SECOND CHURCH COMFORTABLY. Lots of stairs and lots of places to go off trail, and even up the rock if you are adventurous. Very beautiful hike!
Gaby O — Google review
Very nice hike to do early in the morning, before the Sun gets too far overhead, we didn't quite make sunrise, but we were only about an hour behind walk through the city down a secret stairway and descend down to skaros rock... I will highly recommend wearing some good. Hiking shoes or very good. Equipped running shoes with extra grip as the terrain is loose gravel and some pretty Steep inclines also some steep declines, so be prepared, have water and take breaks, but if you walk out all the way to the Inn, there is a little blue domed church that you cannot see from the city itself highly recommend taking this walk. Very quiet, very peaceful, exceptionally, beautiful. The only place we took a hike where you feel like you're out in the ocean closest point to the Volcano. Simply magic go now.
LAND R — Google review
Totally worth the hike down. Apparently used to be an epic Medieval castle that’s now ruins. A little sketchy in spots - be careful by the edges of course - but otherwise not that difficult to walk around. Great view inside the caldera and of the volcano. Bring some water for the hike back up 😅

Armeni Restaurant is located in a charming family setting at Armeni Beach, beneath the picturesque village of Oia. The restaurant offers a diverse menu centered around fish, featuring traditional Santorinian recipes made with locally caught ingredients. Additionally, visitors can indulge in homemade desserts and a selection of regional wines. Even if you don't dine there, the restaurant is worth visiting for a refreshing swim in the small bay.
The walk up and down is a little rough, but in my opinion, totally worth it. The short boat ride was stunning as well. Food was delicious, a little on the upper price range but we thought it was well worth it. Especially with where you’re sitting and what you’re eating. Service, was quirky and fun. They all made us feel welcome and made some great recommendations.

From the beautiful boat ride in to the staff to the delicious food, this place has it all. Would highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you are looking to get out on the water but the crowded catamarans aren’t your style. We went for a 7pm reservation and caught the end of the sunset on the water on our way back.

Stunning fresh food especially the scallops, views by the sea, and eccentric entertaining jolly owners who served us and other guests. A totally unique experience. Stellar. If you are looking for a once in a lifetime experience, this is it! We actually walked down some steep stairs from the main town all the way to the sea as we had no reservation only to find out everyone else took a boat there! I would recommend traversing this way, it’s quite an adventure. At the end of the meal, you’re whisked away by their private boat to soak in the caldera sea back to Ammoudi Bay. What an experience in Santorini. A true hidden gem, away from all the other restaurants and tourists. If you think those restaurants with sea high up views are beautiful, this will win your heart.

If you are very lucky, you find a restaurant like this once in your lifetime. The food is incredible, yes. I will dream about that meal for the rest of my years. But what truly makes this restaurant special is the service. From the second you’re picked up on the boat until the second you’re waving goodbye, you feel like you’re part of a family. A true gem. Thank you for your hospitality and a dinner we will talk about forever. Until next time!

We took the complimentary speedboat from Ammoudi Bay to Armeni Fish Tavern and were treated to some stunning hidden gems of the island along the way. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely fantastic, warm, welcoming, and full of humour and making everyone feel at home. We left our order in their hands and they did not disappoint. Beautiful fresh bream, fresh grilled prawns, and the best grilled octopus we’ve ever had. We paired it with the house white wine which, as wine lovers, we can confidently say was perfect. The atmosphere was unlike anywhere else. nestled at the base of the cliff, just metres from the water, with uninterrupted views of the sea and boats sailing past. This is a must-visit in Santorini. Outstanding food, amazing people, and an unforgettable setting.

This was by far our favorite restaurant, not just in Santorini but of the entire trip. So glad we tried it and we even went back for a second lunch (which we almost never do). Focus is all about the food - the grilled prawns are a 100% must, and the Scallops were excellent. Then the Sea Bream whole fish was so good and they filleted it at the table perfectly. Then they offer a free boat back to Amoudi Bay (we walked down the steps the first time, but the second time we were sitting at a restaurant at a moody Bay looking at the prices and the food and decided just to finish our beers and take the boat for a second time and so glad we did). If you are debating if it's worth it was its a bit out of the way, I can assure you it 100% is.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Armeni Restaurant in Santorini. From start to finish, it felt special and memorable. They picked us up by boat on a moody day, and even that short 10-minute ride was such a fun and unique way to arrive. Everyone we met was incredibly warm and welcoming. The owner greeted us personally and even showed us the fresh catch of the day, sea bream, sea bass, and snapper, all caught just hours earlier. We chose our fish, and they grilled it to perfection. The staff cleaned and deboned it right at the table, which made it so easy to enjoy. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and simply amazing. The side dishes were just as impressive, especially the tzatziki and the spicy feta, which I can’t recommend enough. Everything felt prepared with such care and authenticity. Overall, this was one of the most delightful dining experiences we had in Santorini. Between the boat ride, the hospitality, and the incredible food, I can’t recommend Armeni Restaurant highly enough. A must-visit!

Oia Lookout Panoramic Viewpoint is a must-visit gem perched along the northern edge of the caldera, offering stunning vistas from its elevated position. The village stretches nearly 2 km and features charming whitewashed houses with colorful doors nestled into the steep slopes. As you wander through Oia's narrow paths, you'll encounter breathtaking views of blue-domed churches, iconic windmills, and serene blue waters that create an unforgettable backdrop.
Oia is magical place and It has unique vibe. You can visit during the day, watch sunset, have dinner and enjoy caldera view. There are many restaurants and shops besides churches and view points. Whenever you visit you will remember It forever. No need to recommend It is already in top list.

I loved Oia village 🧿 Oia is so beautiful, unbelievable breathtaking views! probably due to the stunning houses in white walls and colourful doors, the iconic windmills, adorable donkeys with bell, wonderful blue sky and white clouds, blue dome churches, blue pools from the accommodations, amazing blue calm sea and volcano, clean little narrow steep streets, worth every steps to left my footprint 👣 Awesome surroundings, and the beautiful Sunsets. I visited Oia during low season, on the 30 and 31 of March less people and not crowded, lovely sunny day ! The sunset can be seen from many locations in Oia. There are many people have been waited near to the castle , viewpoints, walking pathway and the narrow streets as well as the restaurants at 1.5 ~ 2 hours before the sunset. I experienced the dreamiest sunsets from the terrace and the rooftop of my accommodation at Anemi House. One of the best sunsets I’ve seen ! The views are truly spectacular. Unforgettable memories 😍

I read somewhere that Santorini is overrated!!! I think NOT!! This place is out of this world… No where else in the world you can sit down and have a coffee or a meal while experiencing these Impressive views. This island deserves more than 5 stars!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautiful sunset experience. You will never forget this view in your life. Sunset time between 20:15 and 21:00. Many different point of view possibilities. Sadly it is absolutely overcrowded, so enjoying the moment is under circumstances hard and coming earlier is required to find good spots for an unforgettable experience. In conclusion 4 stars.
Liam H — Google review
Amazing view point and very very crowded! Be sure you come early in the morning, otherwise crowd’s getting only bigger
Julia A — Google review
Overrated in general. There are many places in Santorini with the same view and here was so crowded that you can barely enjoy the sunset in peace. Some people were even putting themselves in danger by hanging from the wall just to be in front. 😁

It started with a memorable journey with the donkey to the port, then an orange with fresh seafood, a climb again with the donkey (the road is demanding for the untrained 🤭), a walk through the narrow and picturesque streets and a sensational sunset!

You have to reserve your spot at least one hour in advance to see the sunset. Otherwise you will be surprised to see the crowd and have difficulty to find a good spot. From this point, the village, windmills with the sunset is clearly seen. A parking area is also difficult to find for the cars. You have to park in the main way and was the rest. There are souvenir shops around.

Perched on a hilltop with stunning views of the caldera, Volkan on the Rocks is a charming brewery in Firostefani, Santorini. This laid-back spot offers Greek beers and a variety of light meals, along with an outdoor cinema for an unforgettable experience. The sun-soaked terrace provides the perfect setting to enjoy a delightful array of hot and cold mezes made from local ingredients, paired with a refreshing pint of Volkan craft beer.
Stunning views and delicious food that is not to be missed! Hands down, one of the best spots that I experienced during my 5 days on the island. I thoroughly enjoyed the spectacular views while eating lunch here.
Kim K — Google review
Great view and excellent service. The view is just gorgeous. We had the grilled octopus and the zucchini & tomato fritters for our appetizers. Both tasted amazing! The fritters were surprisingly delicious with an amazing sauce. For our main we split a fried chicken burger. It was very delicious and plenty of food for us to share as a lunch. Everything came to us quickly and we enjoyed our experience very much. The outdoor area had plenty of shade so we were able to enjoy the view without getting sun burnt.

Volcaine is one of those places that instantly makes an impression. From the very start, the staff set the tone — incredibly kind, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. You can feel they are happy to be there, and that energy makes the whole experience warm and welcoming. The food lives up to the setting. The beef stew was tender and deeply flavorful, easily a standout dish. We also had the crispy potatoes, perfectly done, and a charcuterie and cheese plate that surprised us with one of the tastiest tomato jams I’ve ever tried — slightly spicy, beautifully balanced. The local sweet wine from the island was a real treat and paired wonderfully with everything. What makes Volcaine even more special is the view. Perched right above the volcano, it offers one of the most magical panoramas on the island, no matter the time of day. It’s also right near Atlantis Books, which makes it even more worth the stop. If you’re around during the September celebration, this is the place to sit with a drink and take it all in. The bar below the main terrace is also worth a visit — just as charming and atmospheric. Altogether, this is a highly recommendable spot. Thoughtful staff, delicious food, and a view that stays with you. Volcaine just clicks in every way, and I’d happily suggest it to anyone visiting the island.

Three of us enjoyed Mama Mia the movie and dinner at Volkan on the Rocks. Or should I say we enjoyed the beautiful vistas overlooking the caldera of Santorini but the service was well below average. We were squeezed into a tiny table with 3 small chairs and the poor family of 3 next to us were jammed in even tighter. When we tried to appeal to the waiting staff they seem preoccupied and careless. The food and drinks were overpriced for even Santorini... Nonetheless we enjoyed the sunset, views and the movie.
Patrick G — Google review
We went to Volkan for the outdoor theater and dinner, and no question , it was our favorite night in Greece yet (and we’ve been here 11 days already). Absolutely brilliant to show the Mama Mia movie overlooking beautiful views and delicious food. In our opinion it is a must do when visiting Santorini! We had bread, a Greek salad, and shrimp pasta, all spectacular. The sauce with the shrimp pasta was out of this world delicious!
Nor L — Google review
Only visited for a coffee, however the views are stunning (like all Santorini), prices are fair and it's not too busy. Great view of the port and ferrys. Recommended.

We honestly can’t say enough good things about our stay! Lapros made us feel so cared for from the very first moment. He went out of his way to help with everything — from bringing our bags to the suite , setting up a car to answering our calls whenever we asked what to do next. His kindness and authenticity made the whole trip unforgettable!
Lori C — Google review
Absolutely unforgettable experience, truly a secret treasure spot. We had the chefs special dinner with the local Volkan wine. Best place we have been for dinner on the island. Service 10/10 and food 10/10 but the view is 1000/10

Greek restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Luckys Souvlakis is a small, unassuming spot located near Fira's bus station in Santorini. Despite its unimpressive appearance, it offers some of the most delicious food on the island. Specializing in souvlaki and gyros, this fast-food style eatery serves up kebab-style meat skewers and shaved pork or chicken wrapped in fluffy pita bread with generous helpings of tzatziki.
The best, last time we can was 13 years ago. Lucky has been doing it for 25 years and is still the best in the island. Great food, tasty, fresh, cheap but most of all the best service and food
Catherine D — Google review
Pretty good gyros for a reasonable price. I really like chicken gyros wrapped in pita with fries, tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki sauce. Pork gyros, and pork souvlaki were OK, but surprisingly not as tasty as chicken. The place is tiny and cramped inside, so most people buy takeout. First, you have to order and pay inside, then go out and line up outside in the pick-up line to get your food. There is a little public canopy covered area across the road, where most people eat their takeout.
Sergei S — Google review
4.20 euro giros. salty, crispy, moist. Not a big portion, even better: enough to be comfortably full. Walk into the store to pay for your ticket, then line up to show your ticket to the giro maker. We sat at the small square with some shade across from the restaurant.
Bryan N — Google review
We tried chicken gyros. It was very affordable, we payed 4.50 euros. Yet it was incredibly delicious. The place is small but you can take your food and eat it across the street, there is a public space.

Chicken pita and pink grapefruit Schweppes. Affordable and mind blowingly delicious. Crispy pita, fresh veggies and sauce, crispy and salty grilled chicken, you will love your lunch here. Limited counter seats
Tay W — Google review
Prime location and A-Tier gyros. Prices are great considering the location, can get extremely busy so there might be a wait, but it is worth it. Staff are super friendly and accommodating too. When visiting Fira and you're hungry, definitely stop off here. The green seasoning on the fries is to die for also.
Ethan R — Google review
Believe the other reviews when they say Best Gyros in Santorini. Their meat is so juicy and it is very balanced with ingredients. Their chips are fresh and really great and the staff are so friendly. Prices for the Gyros is also very reasonable considering they are one of the most popular gyros shop in Fira. Do go early for dinner as they did sell out one day before their advertised closing time

We tried 2 souvlaki places in Santorini, we both think that this is the better of the 2. We even saw one of the tour guides came and grabbed one to go, shows they got local support. Great flavour on both kebabs and chicken, veggies are fresh too, the other place we went not so much. Service was great, and they have washrooms downstairs too, great rest stop for travellers

Fine dining restaurant
Nestled in the picturesque area of Pyrgos, Selene Restaurant offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Santorini's vineyards in Akrotiri and Megalochori. With almost 30 years of experience, this renowned restaurant is celebrated for its new Greek cuisine and fine dining. Housed within an 18th-century Catholic Monastery, the restaurant exudes elegance with its arches, palm trees, and a charming fountain.
Selene is such an experience - don’t miss it if you’re in Santorini! We have been twice now and both times the service and food were outstanding. Their team even gave us a lovely gift as part of our honeymoon celebration.
Seán W — Google review
Excellent Food and Service, But Ambience Could Be Improved ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Selene offers a truly impressive culinary experience. The food was exquisite — refined, flavourful, and beautifully plated. Each dish felt thoughtful and rooted in Greek tradition with a modern touch. The service was equally exceptional: professional, friendly, and well-informed. However, the ambience didn’t quite live up to the same level. While the setting was pleasant, it lacked the atmosphere and charm we were hoping for, especially for a fine dining experience in Santorini. Still, the quality of the food and service easily make Selene a strong recommendation for any foodie visiting the island. Just don’t go expecting a dreamy or romantic setting.
Liran R — Google review
We visited Selene during our honeymoon and chose the <Half Moon> course menu (€175 per person, the least expensive option available). The atmosphere was wonderful — elegant, calm, and very romantic — and overall the staff were kind and attentive. The experience started strong with excellent bread and olive oil, which stood out even for us as people living in France. The first amuse-bouche was delicious, while the second was simply spinach — not unpleasant, but not memorable either. The first starter, <From Mani to Santorini with Love>, was truly outstanding — full of flavor, beautifully balanced, and a dish I would gladly order again if offered as a main. In contrast, <Mediterranean Triptych> was far too salty. When I gave this feedback politely, instead of the usual acknowledgment you’d expect in fine dining (“I’ll let the chef know”), our server simply said, “Oh, okay.” and walked away. The response felt surprisingly unprofessional and that left us both surprised. For my main, I had <Primavera — fish with artichoke confit, peas, and spinach>. Unfortunately, the sauce didn’t work for me — it clashed with the fish and made the dish difficult to enjoy, though it may just not have suited my personal taste. Desserts were creative, refreshing, and delicious. However, the mignardises that followed were deep-fried, heavy, and greasy, leaving the meal on a flat note instead of the light finish we had hoped for. With two-course menus, one pre-dinner drink each, and a glass of wine each, the total came to €450. While there were definite high points and we enjoyed the evening overall, the food often leaned toward experimentation without achieving true harmony. For the price, the experience felt unbalanced. It was good to experience once, but not something I would repeat or recommend.
Eva P — Google review
What a phenomenal dining experience! Every dish was a work of art—beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. A heartfelt thank you to the chef for the private presentation of the main course—it made the evening feel truly special. The service was exceptional, with special thanks to Alex and Maria for their warmth and attentiveness throughout. The only critique would be the pasta, which was a bit too salty for our taste, but everything else more than made up for it. Highly recommended for a fine dining experience that blends creativity with genuine hospitality!

We had such a beautiful night here celebrating our honeymoon. Our favorite night of our trip to Santorini! The service was amazing and the waiters and sommelier were so kind and punctual. The food was delicious and we felt the care and attention put into every bite! It was so romantic and luxurious and was worth every penny. It was a beautiful, elegant night and we were so glad we went.
Natalie C — Google review
The overall experience was incredible. We ordered the half moon with the triumph of the sea, a seafood pasta served with a bisque prepared on the table side. Our server was exceptional, and the food was delicious, even though it was quite expensive. However, the only part of the experience that was a bit disappointing was the yelling coming from the kitchen. The waiters seemed visibly shaken and upset, and it bothered me because I care deeply about culture, even the background details.
A M — Google review
My husband and I had dinner here during our honeymoon to Santorini. We had the most amazing time. The staff was so friendly and kind. The service was outstanding. The meal was exquisite! We cannot thank the staff enough for such an unforgettable experience!!!

Cacio e Pepe is a restaurant located in the heart of Fira, offering homemade Italian flavors and dishes. The interior is beautifully designed with traditional colors and style, adorned with photos of famous Italian actors. Outside, the terrace is surrounded by plants and flowers, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere for delightful dining experiences. Visitors praise the amazing food and excellent service provided by Emilio and Speros, making it a highly recommended dining spot.
Stumbled across this hidden gem walking around Fira and it’s by far the best Italian we have ever experienced! Emilio and the team were so friendly, warm & inviting! Everything was so fresh and delicious! Try any of the home made pastas/meals you won’t go wrong!

The pizza are excellent. The main dishes like pasta and the appetizer are good too. The seafood risotto would be much better if it was creamier but it was ok. The desserts are homemade but not the best - the main dishes were better. Service is good and quick.

I just happened to stumble across this hidden gem before taking the sky tram back to the cruise ferry. The hospitality was amazing as I wanted to freshen up before dinner. I enjoyed the cold water and at last the entree. The chicken Alfredo was amazing ( I forgot the native name) I really enjoyed the fresh tasting pasta the most! The Fanta orange drink was very refreshing. Now the most important detail…my waiter Emilio was amazing and attentive. I plan to visit Santorini again soon, and of course I will dine here again!

Being from the US and loving Italian restaurants I was pleasantly surprised when we found this Gem in Santorini. The food was truly authentic that we even went back two nights in a row. The funny thing was the second night most of the tables in the front where all from the USA and others where there the night before as well.

Upon our arrival in Fira, we were so delighted to find this gem right next to our hotel. The entire staff is wonderfully attentive. The food is scrumptious especially the salmon ravioli. It was by fair our favorite prompting another dinner prior to our departure. The seafood risotto also delightful. Thank you to Sprios for his exceptional service and wine recommendations both nights.

Nestled in a charming 1912 building, Roka Oia is a delightful gem that captures the essence of traditional Greek dining. Located just a short stroll from the bustling main strip of Oia, this cozy restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for romantic evenings or casual meals with friends. While it may not boast sunset views, Roka compensates with its innovative take on classic Greek dishes like tomato fritters and grilled squid paired with black garlic aioli.
Roka restaurant in Oia is a truly lovely establishment that immediately impresses with its nice, homely atmosphere. It offers a welcoming and comfortable dining experience that feels both authentic and intimate. The highlight, however, is undoubtedly the food. The dishes are absolutely great, easily ranking among the best I experienced during my entire Greece trip. Each plate is prepared with evident care and bursting with flavor. Complementing the superb cuisine is the very good staff, who provide attentive and friendly service. What's more, the quality you receive comes at a very good price, making Roka an exceptional value in Oia. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking outstanding Greek food in a delightful setting.
Kritsana P — Google review
The pork belly was hands down the best I’ve ever had. It was crispy with a rich charcoal flavour on the outside, perfectly tender inside, and paired beautifully with the carrot purée. It was the star of the meal. However, I was quite disappointed to learn that the homemade ravioli, which I had seen listed online as a “must-try,” is no longer available. I was really looking forward to tasting it, so that was a bit of a letdown. Some small details affected the experience as well. The plates on the table was quite dusty and didn’t seem fully clean, which was a little off-putting. On the upside, the overall atmosphere and vibes were great. It would be helpful if, during the reservation process, guests could choose their preferred seating area—whether indoors, at the front, or in a sunnier spot—so expectations are better managed. As for the rest of the food, the mushroom risotto was decent but not outstanding. We’ve had better elsewhere. The traditional Greek pasta was okay, and the Greek salad was fresh and enjoyable. In the end, the pork belly truly made the experience worth it. It’s a must-try if you visit.

I truly enjoyed my Greek grilled squid dinner at this restaurant. The combination of fresh salad, flavorful sauce, and aromatic herbs was just perfect. To complete the meal, the fish soup was absolutely delicious ~ comforting and full of flavor. One of the best seafood dining experiences I’ve had on this journey through Greece.

Came for lunch on a Saturday in early October. We had reservations, though it wasn’t too busy when we arrived. We were seated on the back patio with a nice view of the water. The patio isn’t large and filled up quickly, so a reservation is still worth making. The restaurant is in a quieter part of Oia, down a cute alleyway - it feels tucked away from the crowds, which adds to the atmosphere. We ordered the moussaka, mushroom risotto, and pork belly based on Google recommendations. All were great, but the pork belly was an absolute standout. The moussaka was tasty (4/5), though I’ve had a slightly better version elsewhere in Santorini. The mushroom risotto was rich, well-seasoned, and full of mushrooms - balanced and moreish. The pork belly was excellent - perfectly cooked, tender, with nice crisp exterior. The portion size was just right and could even be seen as generous depending on appetite. We had it augmented to be gluten-free (without the sauce as it contained gluten). I can’t even imagine how much better it would taste with the sauce! I also appreciated the allergen page at the back of the menu - it clearly showed allergens and what could be modified in each dish, which made ordering easier.

A charming hidden gem in Oia! Google Maps didn’t bring us directly here, but the blue signs around the area helped. We loved the fish, pasta, fries, and mushroom bread — all freshly prepared and delicious. The staff spoke limited English but were warm and attentive. Cozy indoor decor with colourful walls and a homely vibe — worth the short hunt to find it!

The staff—Donnie, Florina, and Manos—were so kind and friendly, and I loved the on-call service style. It wasn’t crowded even on a Saturday night, and the pool and lounge chairs are a huge plus. They even let guests store luggage after hotel check-out, which makes it a must-visit if you’re in Oia.

This place is an absolute hidden gem with the best sunset view on all of Santorini. The food, drink, and service are amazing and the prices are pretty competitive considering the location and view. The facilities were amazing including bathroom (which was thoroughly cleaned and mopped once an hour while we were there) and a refreshing and clean pool. Manos is an amazing person and helps run this place perfectly. A stop here is a must for anyone in the area looking for a great pool atmosphere or an incredible sunset view. I will be planning an additional Santorini trip around this place in the future.

Picturesque Blue Dome Santorini is a must-see spot with its iconic blue domes blending into the bright sky and sea, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. While it can get crowded, visiting in April or September offers awesome weather and a quieter island. The picturesque scenery is perfect for Instagram-worthy photos, especially during sunrise or sunset. Despite being slightly overhyped, there are plenty of opportunities to capture stunning pictures away from the crowds in Oia.
Amazing experience the next i visit i will go during the months where not alot of cruise ships at the harbor. It gets too crowded you can barely appreciate the beauty of the place. Overall it was a great experience.

Excited to see the Blue domed Church. It is hidden in an alley way off the main market area of Oia. The view is spectacular, but everyone is there snapping their selfies. So patience needed. Pictures can not give the cathedral justice. The backdrop of the sea is breathtaking.

Pretty iconic to see this one in the flesh. Theres often a line up to get that primo Instagram shot that everyone loves but here’s my feedback… be considerate! Some people mess around for 5 or more minutes taking endless photos, I’m talking like 50+ photos while there is a huge line of people waiting. Get in, get the shot and get out. If you can’t get the photo right in a couple minutes, I’m telling you know you’re far too vein and the photo will never be good enough. We literally got claps when we left for how quick and swift we were and you can see how good our pics are. Don’t overthink it guys jeez.

My wife loved it - that’s all that matters. We got there as soon as we could. Took the first bus out of Fira. The line was short. We patiently waited behind 3 families. All good. Some random girl tried to cut in line. My wife called her out and she ran away. (5 stars!!). After my wife and I took our pictures, which we felt was a reasonable time, we were hurrying and dang it - we came a long way to be there - some little dude had to say something about us taking to long. So I offered him my counterpoint. That guy can pound sand. Anyway - it’s cool. My wife loved it. That’s all that matters.

The little town of Oia in Santorini is one of the magical places of the Greek Isles. It is a must for anyone who loves amazing views and especially beautiful sunsets! 🌅 I was enchanted by its architecture and its bluish tones plus its beautiful flowers. However you decide to get here, it is worth the trip so make it part of your bucket list!

Located in the heart of Oia, the Picturesque Blue Dome is one of Santorini’s most photographed spots. With its striking blue domes, whitewashed walls, and breathtaking caldera backdrop, it’s the postcard-perfect view everyone dreams of. Be prepared to wait in line! This spot is incredibly popular for photos, especially around sunset. Visitors often queue for their chance to capture the iconic frame. Whether you're a photographer or just chasing the dream shot for your feed, this charming corner of Oia is well worth the wait.

Nestled near the Nautical Museum of Santorini, Kyprida is a delightful culinary haven that showcases the rich flavors of traditional Cypriot cuisine. This charming eatery specializes in authentic Greek and Mediterranean dishes crafted from fresh organic ingredients. One must-try is their delectable fried feta with red onion and tomatoes, seasoned to perfection with mint, oregano, and parsley—a true taste of Santorini!
Do not miss the sunset from Kyprida in the summer. They are the closest restaurant to the action on Santorini. Also the food is incredible, the staff is a delight, and we tried the most fantastic wine and dessert we have had on Santorini.

The food and the service was exceptional, Mike was keen enough to remove the bones of my fish which lessened my work so much. I only had to enjoy my lunch. The prices are very decent compared to the rest of the Oia, I recommend trying it while in Oia! My fish was really tasty as well as the Greek moussaka.
Anca-Meili L — Google review
Really nice restaurant in Oia! It was recommended to us from our hotel and we were happy we went. It wasn’t crowded at all, it’s a little off to the side from the main area which can be a nice escape from the crowds. We got the Kyprida Salad, Koopes, Koupepia, and the fresh fish with vegetables (sea bream). The salad was absolutely delicious, and she kindly added tomatoes on it because I was hoping to have them included. The dressing was really nice. Highly recommend the salad, it’s not your typical plain salad. The Koopes were really tasty, nice texture and crunch from the outside shell compared to the soft center. The Koupepia were good, but we liked the Koopes more. The fish was really delicious and cooked perfectly, it came served wrapped in parchment paper. It was a beautiful presentation. Really kind service and overall wonderful meal!

We decided to try the offer of 6 plates of various foods from appetizers to a dessert and it was a great experience of discovering the flavors of Santorini! Our favorites were the slowly cooked pork and pita with smoked ham and halloumi. The service was great, describing each meal while its served and attentive to our pace. Located in the heart of Oia, we could see the beautifully changing colours of the sky during sunset, a truly 10/10 experience.
Patrycja S — Google review
The service at the restaurant is rather slow, and the food portions are noticeably small. The briam contained too much oil, while the homemade halloumi was excellent in flavor but served in a very small portion. The restaurant does offer vegetarian options, although the selection is quite limited and not very diverse.
Vlad B — Google review
Great service and delicious food. If you like the béchamel part of a moussaka, I suggest ordering the one here which has more than usual.

We ducked in here to escape the rain and were glad we did. Out server was so sweet and brought us blankets. The food was so fresh, the ravioli was a hit, and the salads were huge and well dressed. The house limoncello was the perfect night cap. Our best meal on Santorini

Best restaurant we have been to in Greece!!! The food was an 11 out of 10 and the staff was super nice! Highly recommend the bread with spread and baklava. We ended up here 3 out of 3 nights and every dish was over the top good!!! We will not travel to Greece in the future without going here!

Takeout Restaurant
Fino Restaurant & Cocktail Bar is a charming Mediterranean eatery and cocktail spot tucked away in the backstreets of Oia. The warm and cozy atmosphere makes it a great place for both locals and visitors to unwind with signature cocktails like Snappy Tea, Miss Milly, and Localili. The thoughtfully sourced menu features traditional Santorini ingredients, offering a fine dining twist on classic Greek cuisine.
I absolutely loved this Greek restaurant! The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming — you could tell they work together as a great team, which really creates a warm and pleasant atmosphere for guests. The food was delicious, and our waiter recommended some really interesting and tasty local dishes that we wouldn’t have thought to try otherwise. The local wine served in a carafe was absolutely amazing — full of flavor and the perfect complement to the meal. One of the highlights for me was the Greek music playing in the background. It’s something you don’t hear in every restaurant in Santorini, but it makes such a difference. When you travel to Santorini, you want to experience a bit of Greek culture, and details like this really help set the mood. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We came here twice while in Santorini! The food, atmosphere and service are outstanding. I will be dreaming about the lamb shank forever. I seriously can’t recommend this spot enough!
Erin C — Google review
The best restaurant in Oi! Lamb shank was awesome. You don’t have caldera view but you have so positive real Greek atmosphere and unbelievable food!!!!
Daria K — Google review
Late night spot with a beautiful ambiance and great food! We got the lamb shank and sea bass filet. The lamb shank was insanely good, HIGHLY recommend this dish. The meat is so tender and juicy, we loved every bite. Great for sharing with another person. We got it with oven potatoes instead of the mashed potatoes and even the potatoes were great and seasoned well. The fish was also good too and came with a fava bean puree. The lamb shank was the star of the meal though.

Fino was easily in my top 5 favorite restaurants during my two week honeymoon in Greece. The services was so warm and friendly and the food was truly delicious. When we arrived, a waitress came over with a tray of all of their dips/spreads for us to select from, which was really fun and different. The whipped feta dip with honey and black garlic tzatziki were to die for. We had dolmades, grilled halloumi, and sea bass multiple times while in Greece, but Fino had the best of all three. The ambiance was also so pleasant and the decor on the patio and inside was really lovely. Highly recommend!
Catherine M — Google review
One of my favorite places to eat in Santorini! If it had a view, it would easily be the best spot on the island. The food is amazing, prices are reasonable, and the service is super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
Chrysanna S — Google review
I would start a review of Pino / Fino by saying the food in the photos tasted as good as it looked. In fact in night 5 of the holiday Laura said this was her favourite meal. Fino is in the backstreets of Oia and not overlooking the sea, however they make up for that as someone else said by the quality of the food and lovely setting of the restaurant. We’d walked past and thought it looked nice and decided to go. There was steady business when we were there in Oct 2025 but certainly it deserved to be busier. We had reserved but walks up were available. We had the open kebabs and grilled halloumi with tomato jam as a starter, and for main course I had the braised lamb and orzo special and Laura had the shrimps and orzo which she said had been the favourite thing she’d had so far. Another plus point was the fact, similar to other Greek islands we have visited, you could get house wine by the 1/2 ltr and Ltr, rather than having to buy quite expensive bottles wine which all the other restaurants only have available and ends up being 1/3rd of the bill. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I highly recommend visiting if you can.
Michael W — Google review
Absolutely amazing dining experience! We ordered the famed port ragou pasta and the lobster pasta, as well as the black garlic and eggplant spread - they were all massively delicious. It’s paradise of food, and we definitely recommend it to anyone going to Santorini! The waiter showed great hospitality and even treated us two glasses of sweet wine on the house. We were extremely happy with the dinner here!

Oia Vineyart is a greek restaurant in Santorini that is hidden away in a traditional Santorini home. It has an original grape press and underground wine cellars, and hosts various performances. It is a cosy favourite with its hippyish vibe, cool courtyard and variety of the island's produce.
Amazing experience! Atmosphere and service we're excellent and the food was amazing too! There is even a side with AC! We had the charcuterie and the artichoke salad. Easily fed the 2 of us plus the homemade lemonade was incredible! No picture of the food because it was gone so quickly!

Everything about this place was amazing. I told both the staff members that if this were a restaurant in the US, they would be fully booked at all times. Yes, it is that good. My husband and I ordered the white eggplant, spanakopita salad, lamb, and the lemon dessert. Each dish was unique, incredibly flavorful, and the presentation was amazing. My server Jo was an absolute delight and gave recommendations for other local favorites on the island. If you are visiting Santorini, Oia Oenosart is a must visit!

Interesting Santorini and Nychteri wines (local, organic, old vine, microvinified) here and the cafe atmosphere is zen. Not a sea view but you don't need it. Decided to eat here after we passed by a previous day and encountered a dude who was just leaving…he gave us a serious look and said “the best”.

I have a romantic dinner with my husband on my birthday here. I love the taste, we ordered 1 starter and 1 main dish, we feel a bit pity that had only three shrimps. My husband talked to the waiter, and that’s beautiful surprise when he brought extra shrimps for us. We were so happy and we left some tip. There is a small shop with beautiful arts from Greece artists. We like the place and people, strong recommendation.

We passed by Oia Oenosart earlier in our trip and thought it looked so charming, we made a point to come back for dinner — and we’re so glad we did! The ambience is beautiful and truly feels like an authentic Santorini experience. The staff were absolutely lovely, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the wines. We had the Cyclades salad, cuttlefish tagliatelle, homemade pasta, and the fish of the day (sea bass) — every dish was fresh, unique, and perfectly prepared. We also did a premium white wine tasting flight and loved learning about each selection. One of the best meals we had on the island!

The restaurant offers a wide variety of Greek dishes including fish, meat, and vegetarian options with daily specials. Guests can enjoy beautiful views of Oia from the patio while indulging in delicious food such as baked potato with tuna salad and capers or giant white beans with vegetables.
We stopped by for a lunch/breakfast to get away from the heat, it was quite busy at noon, people still getting their breakfast, they have a large menu, the food was fresh and well prepared, the indoors fans were a big respite from the heat.

Hidden gem in the heart of Oia. Lovely owners who treated us well and were passionate about their service! Enjoyed a Greek salad, Oias pasta, spaghetti Bolognese, and baklava with vanilla ice cream. We went well after sunset (8:30pm), so it wasn't a long wait to be seated.

We arrived in Oia and passed by this restaurant on the way to our hotel. The smell from the restaurant was very good so we decided to have a dinner there. The restaurant is a family run restaurant and even though it was very packed during dinner time, the service and food was quick. The food was very tasty and the seafood was fresh. The portion was big compared to the price. The location was great and the view was very beautiful.

We were recommended by the hotel that this restaurant has the best local Greek food with sunset view and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent. Pelekanos: A Modern Greek Delight with a View to Die For If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Oia, look no further than Pelekanos—it truly delivers on all fronts. My recent lunch there was nothing short of spectacular, blending breathtaking views with inspired cuisine and truly wonderful service. The first thing that hits you is the view. Perched high above the caldera, Pelekanos offers a stunning, panoramic view of the Aegean Sea that is simply unmatched. It's the kind of setting that makes a meal feel like a special occasion, and it’s arguably one of the best spots to dine in all of Santorini. But Pelekanos is much more than just a view. The food is absolutely delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed their approach to the menu—it's a great modern take on traditional Greek food. They manage to respect classic flavors while incorporating fresh techniques and beautiful presentation. Every dish we had was a testament to the kitchen's creativity and skill. To top it all off, the staff was wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the service was attentive, warm, and genuinely helpful. They contributed greatly to the relaxed and luxurious atmosphere, making the entire experience flow seamlessly. Highly recommend! For a perfect combination of stunning scenery, delightful modern Greek cuisine, and top-notch hospitality in Oia, Pelekanos is an absolute delight!

Fantastic Dining Experience in the Heart of Oia! We had an amazing experience at this restaurant right in the heart of Oia, Santorini. The food was incredibly delicious — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff was outstanding: warm, attentive, and truly made us feel welcome. One of the highlights is the view — you can see all of Oia from every angle, including the famous sunset, which makes the atmosphere even more magical. We highly recommend making a reservation in advance, especially if you want a good spot for sunset.

Outstanding meal at Pelekanos. Had the shrimp saganaki appetizer, which was delicious. For mains, we had the lamb chop and grilled shrimp, both of which were great. And the prices were quite reasonable for being on Santorini. What makes Pelekanos stand out was the service. Our servers, Zoe and Mina, were outstanding. They were so attentive and friendly. The sunset was beautiful. Overall we would definitely recommend it.

Lovely place. Amazing views, great food, exceptional service and not to forget the cocktails were also great.. this was far the best experience I had in a while. Everything combined it was a 100/10.

Trendy but at a cost. We went there for my birthday. The service was very present and professional and the beginning…Once we started to eat, the sommelier who’s the only person serving you wine was very poorly timed for our main course, arrived midway through and blamed it on the other clients…the whole service kind of fell through at the end…Still offers a beautiful view. Was very expensive when comparing to service/food. “Strongly recommend a better timing or additional staff in support of wine service in order to assure a better experience” the restaurant was not busy at the time either.

Came here by recommendation of our hotel, and I have to say we were delighted with the food and the view. We got a table on the roof with a view to the sunset and it was beautiful. All the dishes had a special twist to them, “The Farm” salad was delightful, as was the cod with its soft, subtle flavors. This is a nice place to come with your loved one and spend the night drinking wine, watching the sunset, amd enjoying some gourmet food. Expect to pay easily +€100 for a dinner for two.

Great food and a lovely setting with a fantastic view of the sunset. Cocktails were also delicious. A bit strange that after our main course they gave us the bill straight away, even though we had not asked! We were planning to take a desert and a few extra cocktails downstairs with the live music, but this wasn’t meant to be. Quite surprised!

Very nice restaurant, nice staff, amazing food. There was also a very good music show the day I went there, not sure if there's one everyday but it was very pleasant. The only downside is the price, a bit expensive, don't go there if you are on budget.

Good food reasonably priced. Although the catch of the day was fairly expensive. If you book the place in advance you can get the best view in the house.

This was a very big let down. I am not one to write bad reviews, but we were a group of 8 people extremely excited to go visit but had some of the worst service we'd ever experienced. It took forever to have our orders taken and our drink orders were forgotten several times. We had to yell and remind our waiter several times before he finally admitted that he had not put the order in and would need to reorder many of them. Even on the second round, he had forgotten to put in several articles and we had to remind numerous waiters several times to bring out the correct drinks. At the end, our waiter was disrespecting us by rolling his eyes, raising his voice at us, and acting annoyed as if we had done anything wrong. The other waiters were in near disbelief around him as to how he was acting toward us. We had been wanting to pay for more than 30 minutes and were completely ignored and not checked on at all. We spent nearly 3 hours at the restaurant despite there barely being anybody there and wanting to leave. I would recommend to management that you tell your waiters to show kindness to your customers. Had we not been on vacation and trying to enjoy a good time, we would have been much more upset with this type of behavior. Other parties were also visibly annoyed and complaining.
