Mediterranean restaurant
Nestled in the charming Oia, Red Bicycle is a must-visit upscale restaurant housed in a 19th-century mansion. Its Greek creative cuisine offers traditional flavors with an elevated twist. The chic interior adorned with Maria Callas photographs leads to a stunning terrace boasting panoramic views of the caldera and Santorini's iconic white buildings and blue-domed churches.
I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant in Oia, Santorini, on a whim, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the breathtaking view and charming ambience. The staff were not only attentive but went the extra mile to ensure I fully understood their menu, which was a thoughtful touch. Now, let's talk about the food - it was simply outstanding! Every dish I tried was bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. It's clear that the chefs are passionate about their craft. The service was impeccable, and I felt genuinely cared for throughout the evening. This spontaneous dining experience turned out to be one of the highlights of my visit to Santorini. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. If you're looking for a place that offers top-notch food, exceptional service, and an unbeatable view, don't hesitate to visit. It's an unforgettable dining experience that I'll cherish for a long time.

Amazing experience. The owner is very pleasant and makes you feel at home. This corner feels private while having the scenic view, where you are most likely to see people line up to take a picture of the coast. It’s amusing to watch them, but around 2pm or after 5pm there are less people. I recommend this place for a hide away from the crowds and for a good time to have a wine and conversation with the owner or any passerby that is intrigued by your conversation. 10/10 very pleasant and homey! Beautiful atmosphere and vibe. Perfect service and attention. Also, the white bougainvillea that adorns the spot is worth to take a picture of. Very beautiful!

My wife and I loved this place. The food was absolutely beautiful with good sized portions. I had the Rabbit Stifado for main and loved every mouthful. Incredibly flavorsome. The service was perfect - genuine and relaxed. Yes it's a little pricey but with the fantastic views to compliment the fantastic food and service, it's worth it !!
Luke M — Google review
The portions are small, but very well prepared and exceptionally presented. Well worth a visit for the view and experience. If you're very hungry, perhaps consider another location, otherwise the delicacies here are unique in taste and ingredients.
Jeff F — Google review
Besides the nice view they have extraordinary good food and service! We just passed by and got luckily a table. The Beef Tartar and the Crispy Watermelon were delicious! Also they have really good special beer! Worth a visit!
Bianca M — Google review
Pretty disappointed in this place considering how much everyone we talked to hyped it up. The food was just okay, and we had someone in our party that was allergic to shellfish, so we let the wait staff know. Well, minutes later they brought out a complimentary appetizer with mussels in it... when we notified them of their error, the look on their face was that they didn't know mussels were shellfish. They did bring us another one without shellfish, and our waitress knew the menu well. However, I'd skip this one.
Christopher P — Google review
Good alternative for the busy establishments that are right oceanfront; this one still has great views. Small cave feeling, with a medium side terrace. A great choice while in Oia Santorini. Went for light lunch salads. They were simply perfect with great local farm fresh quality ingredients.
Luis A — Google review
Service was good and staff were lovely and friendly. Presentation of food was spectacular looking gorgeous just like Oia. Flavours wasn’t so great judging by the prices. You’ll know what I mean after you go to few other places like Gefsis.

Greek Orthodox church
Place of worship
The Church of Panagia Akathistos Hymn is a stunning example of Santorini's architecture, featuring traditional whitewashed walls, a blue dome, and a six-piece bell tower. Located in the main square, it offers a picturesque setting for visitors to admire and photograph. The church's interior is said to be equally impressive and worth a quick visit.
This is the church where I had my beautiful Orthodox wedding. Beautiful church, inside and out. Very blessed and lucky to have been married in this church. ✝️
Ashleigh P — Google review
We passed by this church while waiting for the sunset in Oia. Although we didn’t go inside, we stopped to take photos outside. The lighting and shadows on the church made it a beautiful spot to pause and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Very quiet during the off-season.
Alec T — Google review
Tucked away in the stunning village of Oia, the Panagia Akathist Holy Church is a small yet spiritually rich Orthodox church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary and the Akathist Hymn. Its traditional Cycladic architecture, peaceful surroundings, and beautiful sea views make it a quiet refuge from the bustling tourist streets. Though not as famous as some other landmarks, it offers a genuine sense of serenity and local devotion. Perfect for a short visit or simply enjoying the charm of Oia beyond the postcard photos.
Ufuk Y — Google review
Its on the way from the parking to the 3 Domes, I love the cute bell tower.
Ivy N — Google review
Beyond its religious significance, the Church of Panagia Akathistos Hymn also serves as a cultural landmark, showcasing the island's deep-rooted traditions and timeless beauty. Its hilltop location offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, providing a perfect backdrop for moments of quiet contemplation or photography.
Ajay K — Google review
Lovely church. We went pass by this church when we were hiking from Fira to Oia.
Chan T — Google review
Very beautiful church. You can walk in and tour the inside. One of the biggest on the island.
Michael T — Google review
I visited the Church of Panagia Akathistos in Hymn, Santorini, and it was a truly serene and memorable experience. The church is beautifully maintained, with classic Cycladic architecture — crisp white walls, a charming blue dome, and delicate details that make it instantly recognizable. The setting is peaceful, tucked away from the busier tourist areas, which allows you to enjoy a quiet moment of reflection while taking in the surrounding views. The interior is simple yet elegant, with icons and artwork that convey a sense of history and devotion. I went in the late afternoon when the sunlight hit the white walls just right, creating a calm and almost magical atmosphere. It’s an ideal spot for photography, as well as for appreciating the quiet beauty of Santorini beyond the usual crowded viewpoints. Whether you’re interested in local history, architecture, or just seeking a peaceful place to pause, the Church of Panagia Akathistos is worth a visit. It captures the charm and spirituality of the island in a way that feels both authentic and intimate.

4Patisserie Melenio

Bakery
Patisserie Medevio, also known as Melenio, is a charming bakery in Oia that offers a delightful selection of traditional Greek desserts. The establishment serves Greek frappe and delectable treats like galactoboureko, tiramisu, baklava, cheesecake, Kataifi, and orange pie. Despite some reports of unkind staff members, the overall experience is not to be missed.
I’ve seen some of the harsher reviews on here and would respectfully disagree - we popped in for a cold drink and a sit down after a sweaty walk in crowded Oia, and failing to get a good view of a blue dome. We were seated immediately, but the minute the waiter spotted a ‘better’ table (with a view) he locked it down, so we moved and got some gorgeous views! Ordered an orange cake which was amazing, delicious and huge, and iced coffees - it isn’t cheap, that’s true. But it’s in the heart of a major tourist attraction with beautiful views so I’m not about to judge them. The lunches looked great (we didn’t order lunch, but could see the plates coming out). If we weren’t staying a 45 minute drive away, I would come back.
Sabrina P — Google review
Totally do not recommend. The food was horrible, stale and majorly overpriced. View was ok but not worth it. This singular slice of cold rock hard margarita pizza with 2 pieces of cucumber was €12!
Jess H — Google review
People were rude, we went in and bought coffee and breakfast sandwich originally To go, then we wanted to sit because their back patio was nice but they said we couldn’t because we bought to go. They were rude about stuff and the sandwich we bought was really dry and over priced. Go behind the place, take the picture and avoid this place.
Daniel K — Google review
On arrival staff were very rude, all tables are marked as reserved and when we asked if we could have a table we were told a few tables we could pick from. As all said reserved we asked for a table we could see with a better view. We were told only if we ordered more than drinks. So we said we would. The only good thing about this place was the view. Which you literally get anywhere in Oia. We sat down and ordered ice creams and fruit salads, smoothies and an orange juice. The fruit salad was a banana, an apple, 4 grapes and an unpeeled orange. (€14) The orange juice tasted funny, it didn’t taste of orange. Smoothies were fine. All expensive but what do you expect in Oia. When we got the bill someone tried to pay theirs separately to use cash. The manager just said “ no you will all pay together”. It was rude, unwelcoming, and even if you did get better service than us, they have weird chairs which are really uncomfortable. Maybe that’s why they had so many empty tables. I wouldn’t return.
Chloe P — Google review
The owner/ manager was rude though he tried(??) to tone it down a tiny little bit The waiter, meanwhile, was blatantly ridiculous. Every single behaviour of his made me feel as if we were beggars :) And he kept bossing every customer in the cafe around despite them doing nothing, and judging them for taking photos??? Best part: €9.50 for a fresh strawberry juice which was not even juice, let alone fresh; it was strawberry syrup mixed with water 😐 none of the other drinks we ordered was ok either In short, stay away from this place 🙄🙂
Hà V — Google review
Never go to this place. It has a terrible service. I old men probably the owner he is so bossy, rude with customers, has such a bad attitude and it will completely ruin your mood. Santorini is so beautiful and it has so many special and beautiful bars and restaurants so never go there … I never waist my time writing review but for this case yes..
TATIANA P — Google review
Absolutely abysmal experience. Waiter (the old man), was cold and rude. I would go to the level of calling it discrimination, as he was friendly with the white couple that were two tables down. 19 euros for two juices is also a cash grab. The only positive I would say is the view. Do not recommend.
GA — Google review
What an obnoxious old man! Lets you seat, and then be arrogant telling that the bill must be more than 20€! For him it’s a small bill! That’s why is empty and with bad reputation! Get some costumer service knowledge! I was so upset with this that I was close to thrown a 50€ bill to the floor for him to pick up to get some education! This is from a restaurant owner! Avoid at all cost !! What a malaca!

Lovely staff [Lady with blonde hair] and young Brunette gentleman. Selection of products are Great. Fresh meat and produce especially cherries.
Shirley Y — Google review
Bad experience! Be careful, better ask for the price before paying! I bought the bottle of white wine in the picture, assuming is either 4,69 eur, either 8,95 eur. I paied with the credit card and after, I saw on the bill it was acually 13,95 eur. So, I went back to see why I paied that much for it. The answer was that she didn't have time to put the price on it and the prices there were for other wines. So, I wanted to give back tha wine and take another one but she said she cannot give me the diffrence back, as I paied with the card.
Alexandra — Google review
Great location. Nothing stand out but they have the essentials. Across the street is one of the main entrances to the main cliff side strip that makes up Oia. You wouldn't be able to tell otherwise as there no signage.

The Windmills of Oía are a must-visit for anyone looking to capture the essence of this stunning region. These historic structures, primarily built in the 17th century and beyond, were originally designed for grinding flour and accommodating bakeries. Today, they stand as iconic landmarks that offer breathtaking views and serve as perfect backdrops for photography enthusiasts eager to immortalize their travels.
An iconic view of the Santorini's windmills. One of the trademarks of the island.

Nice spot, quite a lot steps to get to and from the centre.
Misia Q — Google review
This small town is a great visit if you can put up with the narrow pathways and the hundreds of pushing people just stopping everywhere. Everyone is trying for the best photo but a lot just want to stop and chat. You will need quite a bit of time to find your way round. The views and scenery are great and there is the element of fun trying to find your way around. When searching for the windmills we also came across a quaint little restaurant (ELLINIKOS) situated right behind the windmills which is well worth the time to stop for lunch, good food and good price.
Ian S — Google review
Nice .. Unique Windmills. 👍🏼👍🏼
Yasitha D — Google review
Fun part of Oia to visit and the iconic windmills are very cute to walk around in person. Lots of shops and restaurants along the path. It’s worth a visit but know you will be at the very end of Oia and moving through lots of large crowds to get there. Come early in the day to have less crowds. Also be sure to stop off at the lower points right after the windmills. Really amazing views!
Alexander W — Google review
Beautiful place. Can be very crowded but it’s expected in a busy tourist place. Lots is wonderful shops and places to eat.
Zariff K — Google review
Just okay, another 8-10 min hike from Oia Castle, imho not worth it. Better photos at the castle. I would pass on this if you are limited on time.

Bus station
Firostefani Bus Station is located along a picturesque walking route that offers stunning views of the inland plains and the Aegean Sea. The station serves as a convenient starting point for exploring Firostefani and Imerovigli, as well as other nearby towns like Fira and Oia. It's advisable to begin your journey early in the summer to avoid the midday heat, and be sure to carry water with you.
Very small station for the size of the island, buses sometimes are not label with the routes or numbers …you cannot buy tickets in advance is cash only. The lady at counter is not very helpful buses from other towns in the island are not always on time. Be aware the buses look more like tourist coaches with air conditioning. They do speak English.
Ljubica B — Google review
Do yourself a favor and just walk to Fira. Buses didn’t show up. Use the paved main road, it is downhill to Fira and gravity will do the work so it is easy and fast even if you carry heavy luggage.
Dr. I — Google review

François-Xavier T — Google review
Update summer 2024. Bus doesnt stop here to go to Oia(the main road is closed for cars). You need to go to the main bus station in Fira or take a taxi for 30€
Kamila K — Google review
Not working June 2025, you need to go to Fira
Robert F — Google review
Do not entrust your holiday travel to this shambolic excuse for a bus station. As I write this now, we're have been sat for an hour and 10 minutes for a service that is supposed to be every 30 minutes. We are expected to wait a further 20, but we know it won't arrive by then either. There's little shelter and zero system or organisation. Yes it's cheap, but what you save in euros you will piss away in sweat and valuable holiday time.
Gina-Maria M — Google review
This bus is not used during the summer., so said two different nearby vendors. I did not see any buses on the this road the first week of may 2023. The bus supervisor at the fira station told me it was a 5minute walk to here. It was 45 minutes, 3km, up hill. With heavy luggage. The bus staff lie to me many times.
Dell O — Google review
Fantastic bus stop! I’d heard so many amazing things about this bus stop from my friends who had visited santorini in the past and I thought to myself “this cannot be missed!”. I booked accomodation close to the bus stop so I could visit it every day and boy was I impressed! The sunset from the bus stop is to die for, and the seats are comfortable enough to sit on for approximately 45-60 minutes. Didn’t actually catch a bus from here, but boy did it look like that was possible! I give 5 stars for the sheer beauty of the bus stop, and 1 star due to the fact that I didn’t catch a bus. Final rating : 3

Beautiful church and gorgeous panoramic view of the Santorini caldera shore. This was one of the great rewards for us taking the long hike from Thira to Oia.
Xin C — Google review
Beautiful small church located in such a spectacular place. Really lovely stop when you walk from Fira to Oia which I truly recommend. It’s a bit uphill to reach this church but I promise you that you won’t regret it. One of my favourite places in Santorini!!
Adam L — Google review
The hike between Oia and Fira is long and goes through many hills that are not easy to climb. To make things harder, there is no place to hide from the sun and the rare shaded area is usually inhospitable. Panagea is the one spot on the hike that provides shade, a place to rest and magnificent views in all directions. It's a tough climb uphill, but it's well worth it.
Georges Y — Google review
One of the landmarks we used for our trek from oia to fira. The church is located on top of a mountain and getting to the top is not a joke for those who are not athletic or maybe for those who sit at work all day. I don't see any trail for vehicles to go up to this church so the only way is by walking past rugged terrain. But once you reach the top, it gives you great view of Santorini.
Dimaz2kx — Google review
Such a beautiful vantage point overlooking oia. I highly recommend the hike but it is certainly challenging, bring comfortable shoes, water bottle and sun protection. If you're nostalgic also bring a padlock to lock to the arch at the top.

Beautiful Blue Dome - it's on a path you won't miss. It's the farthest Three Blue Dome and the biggest one. There is a lot of traffic around.

Many false photos of churches in Oia. This particular church is the one with gray brick walls.

One of best churchs to take pictures of in Santorini.

(Translated by Google) One of the most photographed churches in Oia. We lived only a few meters from the church and people were still taking pictures there at midnight, and at six in the morning there were already the first people interested in nice photos. Few people know that the church consists of three blue domes, which are visible only from the lower side from the sea. You can walk around the church. The church offers different interesting photos from each side. In many published reviews there are photos that do not belong to this church.

(Translated by Google) Agios Nikolaos Church is a hidden gem in Santorini! The beautiful Greek Orthodox church has white walls and a blue roof that harmonize perfectly, making it look like something out of a painting. The scenery around the church is also wonderful, with the blue Aegean Sea and the expansive sky catching your eye. The number of tourists is relatively small, so you can enjoy a leisurely stroll in a quiet atmosphere. The interior of the church is also beautifully decorated, allowing you to experience Greek history and culture. It's also a great spot for taking photos, but it's also recommended for those who want to avoid the crowds. If you want to make your stay in Santorini even more special, visit the Agios Nikolaos Church!

(Translated by Google) A gem in the heart of Oia! This emblematic church, which I had the chance to photograph, is simply magnificent. Its typical Cycladic exterior architecture, with its dazzling blue dome and immaculate walls, is already breathtaking. But don't stop at the exterior: the interior is full of authentic and peaceful beauty that is absolutely worth the detour. A place full of emotion and spirituality, in the heart of one of the most beautiful villages in Greece.

Greek Orthodox church
Resurrection of the Lord Holy Orthodox Church, also known as the Church of Anastaseos, is a popular spot in Santorini with its striking blue domes and picturesque views. It is often crowded due to its popularity among tourists seeking to capture its beauty in photos. The church's location offers stunning views over Oia, making it a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Santorini.
One of the most popular points in Santorini. Many false photos of churches in Oia thought. This particular church is the one without gray brick walls and it is located nearby another church. Together they combine 3 blue domes. Three purple bells just in front of the church.
Serhii T — Google review
The most amazing photo over Oia about 1.5 hours prior to sunset. Sunrise is probably better as the sun will be on this side of the island then.

(Translated by Google) THE photo spot in Oia. A place known from many photos and postcards. As a result, it is also frequently visited and crowded. We were there before 8am and ... there was already a queue. A few moments for photos. But it is worth searching and visiting.

It was really good until some Arabs start to cut in lines to take there pictures. When we told them it was our turn. The fattest Arabs said “this is our home💀💀💀” (we were at the stairs, it was also a sign about what you should think about when you are taking pictures. So oviuslly we had the right to take pic.) Anyway, the Arabs lady start to change clothes ON THE STARIS🤡 like if u were the owner of the house behind why did u not change clothes in your house? Ohh maybe your a h0e and want to show everyone for free💀
