Tokyo Tower, reminiscent of the Eiffel Tower, is a significant landmark in Tokyo and Japan. It was opened in 1958 and celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2018. Standing at 333m tall, it offers observation areas at 150m and 250m high, providing stunning views of Mt. Fuji, Mt. Tsukuba, and the entire Tokyo metropolis.
Absolutely loved our visit to Tokyo Tower! The views are breathtaking—on a clear day you can see all the way across the city, and the sunset-to-night transition is pure magic. The staff were friendly, the lines moved quickly, and everything felt clean and well-organized. The main deck has great photo spots and helpful signage in English. Bonus: there was a special car promotion happening today at the base plaza with sleek display models, mini demos, and fun photo ops—an unexpected treat that added to the vibe without crowding the experience. Easy access from the station, plenty of cafes and souvenir options downstairs. If you’re in Tokyo, make this a must-do!

Absolutely worth the extra ticket! The Sky Deck gives a breathtaking open-air view of Tokyo — you can feel the breeze and see the city lights. It’s especially beautiful around sunset or at night when the skyline glows. The staff are friendly and help keep the experience smooth and safe. You can see landmarks like Roppongi Hills, Rainbow Bridge, and even Mount Fuji on a clear day. It’s peaceful, romantic, and unforgettable — definitely one of the best viewpoints in Tokyo.

My wife booked us in for a pickleball game UNDER TOKYO TOWER! I didn’t know they did this… it was a great experience! On the roof-top of the building directly beneath the tower. There were two courts and an attendant managing thins. She provided our rackets and balls + took some photos at then end. We had the kids with us so they were helping referee our games. There were some photo spots on the room and vending machines, so they kept busy for the hour… There was also a bar / restaurant up on the roof but unfortunetly it was not open. Would have been nice to be able to head there for a biru after the match! Next time…. All in all it was a great experience, staff were helpful and it was a very cool day seeing a unique side of a historic landmark of the city. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻

Tokyo Tower is an iconic symbol of the city, standing at 333 meters tall. Its design is inspired by the Eiffel Tower, featuring a striking red and white color scheme. Visitors can access observation decks for breathtaking panoramic views of Tokyo, including sights like Mount Fuji on clear days. The tower also houses a variety of shops, restaurants, and an aquarium, making it a versatile destination. The surrounding park is lovely for leisurely strolls. Overall, Tokyo Tower offers a unique blend of history, culture, and stunning views, making it a must-visit for tourists.

Visiting Tokyo Tower at night was an incredible experience. The tower’s warm orange glow against the evening sky is truly stunning. The observation deck offers breathtaking panoramic views of Tokyo’s city lights. The place is clean, well-maintained, and easy to access. Highly recommended for anyone exploring Tokyo! 🗼

We were here last night and the experience was exceptional, a once in a lifetime must see wonder. As Japan, in general bring in the ring of fire and Tokyo in particular this structural icon of Tokyo with stood earthquakes. The top deck experience for me spiced up the experience. As it gave a different perspective being 252 meters above, with its cool IG picturesque effect.
Flp C — Google review
Absolutely stunning views of Tokyo, especially at sunset! We paid for the upper floor, and it's well worth the extra cost and should be booked in advance. The main floor is a little crowded, and features a cramped shop and various brand-related events. This whole area becomes pitch black at night, with glass or glow-in-the-dark floor areas, and is overall a great way to experience the area. However, if you have a time-slot for the additional floor you can line up at another elevator (note your time STARTS at the time listed, not "must arrive by" as the email says!) to go higher. This includes a brief promotional video, a professional photo (printed on a small promotional leaflet as you leave), a small drink, but most importantly a mirror-filled observation deck. From this deck you can see miles and miles in all directions, with the city's drastic appearance change during sunset providing a unique perspective. Whilst it can be quite crowded, people typically move on after taking their selfies so you can stare in peace. It's even possible to see mt fuji sometimes! Upon exiting there's a strange small mall at the base, selling various mementos and snacks, with the exit hidden away and requiring careful sign following.
Jake L — Google review
Amazing view! I visited on a Saturday night after dinner, walking from Roppongi Station and taking photos of the tower from several different angles. It’s beautifully lit up at night, and if there’s fog, it adds an extra layer of magic for those chasing the perfect shot. There was no queue late at night for the observation deck—perhaps because of the rain or simply the late hour. Around the area, you’ll find a few food trucks, a small Family Mart, and souvenir shops on the second floor. Take a stroll before buying anything, as there are plenty of interesting items to choose from. For photos, make sure to walk around the tower—each angle offers a unique perspective. Personally, I think nighttime is the best time to visit for stunning shots.

teamLab Borderless: MORI Building DIGITAL ART MUSEUM is a popular and immersive museum featuring colorful, futuristic digital art installations that offer great photo opportunities. Since its opening in 2018, it has become the world's most visited museum dedicated to a single artist/group. The museum will be closing this year due to redevelopment of the building housing it, but not before hosting its last cherry blossom-themed exhibition.
This was a great experience! But be prepared to spend at least 2-3 hours inside exploring, taking it in, and appreciating the art. I also recommend going as early as possible. I bought tickets a bit late (aka 3 days before the day we were available) and only noon and after were available. I bought the 12-1230. I checked multiple times a day and it wasn’t until the night before that an 08-0830am slot opened up and I changed our reservation. We got there around 0820 and there were already some people inside. It was nice and open for ~30-45min and after that, people started pouring in. It was still nice but some rooms started to get crowded. If you want nice pictures, go at opening time. It was a fun experience walking around, discovering the rooms, and being mesmerized at the art. Some of the art changes after a few minutes so we revisited a few rooms. When we thought we were done, we discovered two more rooms. We spent around 3 hours in there. We only left because we got hungry. There were free lockers inside and umbrella locks. There were rules posted about not running. But in one of the large rooms where you can sit, relax, and watch the art, there were a few kids running around through the people sitting down and yelling. It kind of ruined the immersive experience of that room. The workers didn’t do anything to stop them. It’s less interactive than teamLab planets. But still equally a great experience in my opinion!

As one of the most Instagram-y places in Tokyo, this is obviously a place where aesthetics and visuals are prioritised above all else! Make sure to book in advance, as it can get busy at all hours on a weekend. A free-flowing, dark, and fluid space with various rooms and corridors, this museum often feels like an accidental maze. Each room or area has unique exhibits moving across the walls and floor, with many of them actually migrating between areas. This means you might see a pretty school of fish swim away, then come across them a room or two later unexpectedly. This effect is limited however, with most rooms having more of a looping cast of artworks. These are typically nature-based, such as fish, water, or flowers, although there's good variety such as some corridors feature bizarre walking animations. The space itself is dark throughout, although the layout is only confusing the first time you enter. After being in a room once, it's fairly simple to figure out which other rooms are nearby and make your way there. The rooms by themselves vary in quality, with my favourites (typically the most otherworldly) often hidden away in side corridors, such as the "water lily" style room or vertically strobing lights. Other rooms feature mysterious balls rolling round, or large cubes in a completely dark room. Overall it's definitely worth visiting once, although if you visit in the evening the entrance in the basement of the mall can be hard to find! The mall itself seems empty, yet an open door leads to an escalator taking you to the correct location.

Borderless was a fun but a one time experience. It was very crowded but entry with an advance ticket was fast and seamless. It was a free to explore on your own kind of place mostly. But some rooms had more crowd and some required additional payment such as the en tea room, where you order a tea and the art projection plays on your drink. There was a long queue at the draw a fish room so I did not bother there. It is a fun experience but I would recommend booking in advance.
Chhanda B — Google review
Totally amazing experience. Best to be early though for the 8am or 8.30am. Not too busy bust by 12 it was very crowded. Unable to explain the experience. Totally different as you are in and become part of the art being exhibited through sensational technology. Was fun to draw a sea creature then to have it displayed on a huge screen..which appeared randomly also in other locations..some nice boulangeries in the same building.
Perry C — Google review
This is undeniably one of those touristy experiences, and mostly for foreigners. Is it fun? Yes, it is very fun. It is very pretty. Kids love it. The different rooms can be very beautiful (sometimes even movingly so). I did get lost a bit inside and there were some exhibits that made me a bit nauseated (lots of moving lights!). This museum is located near a really fun part of Tokyo, so it is possible to make it a part of a day exploring this region.
Aracruz1988 — Google review
Such a beautiful place to experience digital art. Every room offers a different immersive experience, with the artworks coming alive and even transferring between spaces. I especially loved the concept where you can draw your own sea animal and watch it become part of the art. Unfortunately, we couldn’t visit the tea room, though it looked very interesting as well. It’s easy to lose yourself here for hours. Our favorite was definitely the room filled with hanging lights.
Marie M — Google review
Honestly amazing. Wasn't sure it was going to be my thing, but I've never felt so relaxed and peaceful in here. Some really great rooms, and the tea room towards the end was an experience too. Great staff. I enjoyed being able to wander around at our own pace. Loved it so much, worth the ticket price. We are now thinking about going to the new one in kyoto too.
Michi S — Google review
The light displays at Borderless were magnificent. I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibits and appreciated how interactive some of them were. The immersive experience truly felt otherworldly. The venue is also easily accessible by train, with several eateries nearby that are convenient for a meal after the session. My session was at 10:30 in the morning, and it was already quite crowded, so do expect a crowd regardless of the time slot.

Situated in the Mori Tower within Roppongi Hills Mall, Mori Art Museum offers a captivating experience for art enthusiasts. The museum's location on the 52nd and 53rd floors provides breathtaking views of Tokyo. Showcasing international contemporary artwork through rotating exhibitions, it boasts an impressive collection ranging from Middle Eastern art to cutting-edge video installations. Visitors can also enjoy the panoramic vistas of Tokyo while savoring a drink at the Mado Lounge as the city lights up at night.
One of the best museum exhibits I’ve seen in a long time. Every room was laid out so well and and made you want to go deeper. I learned a lot, left inspired and feel like I really got to be immersed in not just the architecture but the mind of the architect.

This is a wonderful museum with incredible exhibits and breathtaking views. The Sou Fujimoto architecture exhibit gives you a glimpse of his thought process, his creativity, and his extensive body of work. You will enjoy it.

Stunning museum with a constantly shifting selection of art, which makes repeated visits rewarding. Next time I visit Japan will definitely come here again and know I’ll see something different! The building itself has many options for snacking and shopping and the museum itself is all the way on floor 52 which makes for gorgeous views of the city. Staff were friendly and I felt welcome there!

One of my more beloved art museums. Their exhibits rotate quite regularly, which is impressive. The artist selection is always at the forefront of modern art and looking into the future. So you will find a lot of topics relating to the digital and technology. Spaces are always well curated. Staff lovely and the entire museum seems very organised. Themed meals are super cute too.

The Mori Art Museum, located on the 52nd floor of Roppongi Hills, is a fantastic place to visit. I went on a Sunday morning and was pleasantly surprised - no lines at the ticket counter or entrance. The current exhibition focuses on the work and vision of Sou Fujimoto. The first gallery showcases an impressive array of architectural models, crafted from a variety of materials and styles, creating a visually stunning display. It's a remarkable exhibition—highly recommended !!!
Gaby G — Google review
A very nice, high-end museum on the 52nd floor, so the views alone are spectacular. You can also book a combined ticket for the museum and the rooftop platform - though it was closed during my visit. Still, the museum itself is well worth seeing, and several rooms offer stunning city views. I checked out the Fujimoto exhibition. I struggled a bit to follow the “red thread” through the show, but it was still engaging. The museum’s setting provided a beautiful frame for the exhibition.

The Mori Art Museum (MAM) is a contemporary art museum on the 53rd floor of the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower in Tokyo. It is currently showing the exhibition "The Architecture of Sou Fujimoto: Primordial Future Forest" If you are interested in city design, buliding and architecture. There are lot of miniature models and old scratches. It is worth to visit, if not then save your entrance fee. The staffs are helpful and guild you in and out.
Simon W — Google review
Caught the AI/digital exhibition while I was there, surprisingly thoughtful and well put together. The curation balanced tech and concept nicely, without tipping too far into gimmick. Finishing with that sweeping city view never gets old. Always a bit of a mixed bag here depending on the exhibitions, but when it hits, it really works. 🤌🏼

The Nezu Museum, situated in the upscale Aoyama district, houses an extensive private collection of pre-modern Japanese and East Asian art. The museum features a diverse range of items including Chinese bronzes, paintings, calligraphy, sculpture, and archaeological materials. It is located just a short walk from Omotesando Station in an area known for its architectural showcase streets and international boutiques.
Advance time-entry tickets were required for admission, unless you’re a member. The museum is situated in an upscale neighborhood, with high-end boutiques nearby. During my visit, the featured exhibit was Chinese Paintings and Medieval Japanese Ink-Wash Paintings—a beautifully curated display of exquisite works. There were also five smaller exhibits showcasing ancient relics. The collection was impressive, though modest in size. The museum’s architecture and grounds were a treat in themselves. I especially enjoyed the beautifully landscaped gardens. Insect repellent was thoughtfully provided at the garden entrance.
Teadrinker — Google review
A small-scale museum in the wealthy area in Tokyo (Omotesando). Architectural style of the main building is modern Japanese. The breath of exhibition is small which there are only dozens of exhibits in each room. The outdoor garden is beautiful and I consider it more exciting than the indoor exhibition.
Rally A — Google review
The place would be better to visit in autumn or spring. I went in mid-October, but it was very hot and humid. It gets quite crowded, so it’s best to avoid peak hours. The exhibition was not a wide range of items. The café also had a long queue, and the food selection could be more varied.
SY — Google review
The Nezu Museum in Tokyo’s Aoyama district is a serene cultural gem. While photography is not allowed inside the museum itself, the experience is unforgettable. Children enjoy free admission, making it a great family-friendly destination. The highlight is the breathtaking Japanese garden, a winding labyrinth of charming pathways, lush seasonal plants, and impressive stone statues/ sculptures. It’s the perfect place to slow down, explore, and feel immersed in Japan’s timeless beauty.
Natalia G — Google review
This was an incredible museum and garden - particularly the garden - such a nice way to spend some time in nature in the city. I would 100% go again. I arrived right at 10am when it opened and there was a bit of a line to get in but it went really fast (I didn’t pre-purchase tickets).
Aly H — Google review
It’s a magical place. The exhibition is not big but fascinating and beautifully curated. The architecture is impressive, and the museum garden itself is a true work of art. You can buy your ticket in advance to ensure entry.
Vitalina L — Google review
✅I visited on a weekday and there was no waiting time at all. ✅There was about a 20–30 minute wait to use the cafe and if you would like a window seat, you can let the staff know and they will put you on the waiting list for it. ✅ The adult admission fee is 1,400 yen. During my previous trip, I only had a chance to use the museum cafe and couldn’t explore the exhibitions due to my flight schedule. With that regret in mind, I returned to Tokyo to finally visit the museum. The unique atmosphere of the museum was truly impressive, and the inner garden was absolutely beautiful. I especially enjoyed the serene and refined ambiance of a Japanese summer, which made the experience unforgettable.

My favourite museum among the many I visited in Japan. If you appreciate style and craftsmanship the building will delight you. And the staff, while not English-speaking, making a huge effort via GoogleTranslate, to communicate and point out the highlights of the museum. We watched a fascinating roof tile making demo.

Hamarikyu Gardens is a public park located on the site of a 17th-century Shogun villa, featuring an Edo-period style layout with a pond. Situated along the Sumida River, visitors can enjoy views of Tokyo Skytree from nearby Sumida Park and take a short walk or cruise to Hamarikyu Garden and Odaiba Island. This garden was meticulously designed over time by successive shoguns, drawing seawater from Tokyo Bay.
Great park, right next to the seawater. In fact the ponds inside are full with sea water drawn directly from the bay area. You can enjoy the piece and awesome trees and plans for a nice walk. Don’t miss it out if you enjoy a small escapes from the urban area, I will define it as a green paradise in the middle of sky skyscrapers. Plus you can find some pretty cool stamps on the entrance

What a splendid place to spend the afternoon! Strolling the grounds, exploring every nook and cranny. I spent a few hours here one spring afternoon after eating a great omakase lunch. This was the perfect place to burn off some extra calories, wandering the paths. It was an equally enjoyable place to enjoy a nice little siesta underneath one of the many trees that provide shade in this beautiful park. If you’re into green spaces, I highly recommend a visit! Can’t wait to come back 🤗

Beautiful traditional gardens that used to be the falcon hunting grounds of the Shogun. Compared to Shinjuku Gardens, Hamariku has more beautiful water features, including bridges and a tea shop over water. There's something to see in every season - plum blossoms in February, cherry blossoms in March, wisteria in April, as well as a season flower garden planted with rotating varieties year round. The garden also hosts seasonal and cultural celebrations. The garden tends to be quiet most days (certainly compared to Shinjuku Gardens). The open picnic areas are recommended for families with kids looking for a place to run around in the grass.

Lovely gardens by the water. You can tell it’s being taken care of and the admission fee is definitely worth paying (300¥ per person). There are many benches you can sit on, paths you can walk on, lovely bridges across ponds and some traditional tea houses offering matcha and sweets🍵 It feels so calm and is the perfect place to escape rushed Tokyo, in Tokyo🧚

Sushi restaurant
Sushi Murase, located in the upscale Minato-ku neighborhood of Tokyo, offers a distinguished selection of aged Edomae-sushi with rich umami flavors. The restaurant provides a luxurious ambiance with elegant decor and a view of the charming courtyard. It has been consistently recognized by Tabelog, Japan's largest restaurant review website, and is conveniently situated just a 5-minute walk from Roppongi Station. Their highly recommended menu includes an Omakase style dining experience.
Personally, this has been the best sushi omakase. Can't find this level of high quality in the states. We were full by the end. Excellent service, drinks were immediately refilled when glass got empty. Might be difficult to talk to the head chef if you don't speak Japanese, but other chefs were able to speak some English to describe the food. Highly recommend making reservations beforehand.
Harsh V — Google review
The quality of the main chef is questionable... the service that didn't match the price, the thoughtlessness and consideration of the customer's taste, the food just came out like a machine. No questions asked if the customer was enjoying it, it was just a soulless meal. The chef's manner was very arrogant, and the owner's fierce look and face, who was only bent on scolding his staff rather than apologizing for the customer sitting right in front of him, ruined my memory of traveling to Japan. It's just an Instagram restaurant that's expensive and unprofessional. I don't understand why a group of 12 would cost 800,000 yen for a meal. A restaurant I don't want to visit again.
RYAN 필 — Google review
The freshness of Sushi and other dishes cannot describe by words, it is definitely one of the best restaurants we have visited in Tokyo.
Wilson K — Google review
One of my favorite Sushi restaurant in Roppongi. What's great about it is that it's near my house! 13 pieces of sushi for 8000 yen, it's a great deal for the quality. Depending on the sashimi, the chef changes the type of rice, from regular sushi rice to red vinegar sushi rice. The ginger was homemade and was so delicious. The uni was the best uni I've ever had in my life. They prepare it using an oven. It's located on the first floor and pretty spacious. I'd say about 20 people can fit at once. Some say it's intimidating to come here for their first time, but I didn't get that feeling at all. I was even able to ask questions about the sushi and they answered to politely. It was pretty easy to make reservations as well. If you're looking for a good sushi place in Tokyo, I highly recommend here.

Fantastic. Great sake pairings. Make sure you understand that you will be getting 30+ courses!

Should be a 5-star but we waited almost 50 minutes from our reservation time (8pm). They put us in a private room and brought out lots of food and drinks to us. All the chefs seemed very busy and one head chef that prepares the sushi in the center of a 13-seater restaurant. We had 4 different sakes during our 4-hour meal. The sushi was very fresh. Fun experience with the other guests in the restaurant!

Nishiazabu Sushi Shin is a tiny sushi restaurant located just off the main road in Minato, offering an intimate and comfortable atmosphere for diners to enjoy traditional Edomae-style sushi. Chef Shintaro Suzuki and his assistant passionately craft each dish over the counter, using only the freshest seasonal ingredients. The Omakase style menu allows guests to relax and savor a chef's selection of dishes without having to worry about ordering.
Sushi Shin Nishiazabu has been a favourite of mine for years, and it never disappoints. The chef is incredibly conscientious about his craft, ensuring every piece is prepared with precision and care. The quality of the ingredients shines through, and the experience is always refined yet welcoming. A true gem for sushi lovers who appreciate attention to detail and consistency.

While the food and the chef’s craftsmanship were excellent, the experience was unfortunately ruined by an American couple next to me who spoke loudly and continuously for the entire two hour meal. I’ve been to many omakase and this was the first time where guests talked so obsessively and at full volume without pause. It completely filled the space and disrupted the quiet atmosphere. I understand that it can be difficult for staff to intervene in these situations especially when others in the room are conversing quietly. But the lack of ambiance control made it hard to enjoy what should have been a serene, immersive dining experience. Everyone seemed disconnected, one guest even started listening to voice messages on her phone. What added to the sense of disconnect was seeing a Japanese couple come late then receive what looked like at least 10 additional pieces of sushi each while the rest of us watched. I had high expectations and while the sushi itself was good, the circumstances made the meal disappointing overall. I hope future guests can enjoy the food in the kind of respectful, quiet atmosphere it deserves.

An amazing sushi restaurant with only nine seats, creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere. The fish is incredibly fresh, with an impressive variety. Watching the chef work is like watching a musician perform — precise, elegant, and mesmerizing. The appetizers are creative and beautifully executed.

Truly a fantastic omakase experience. The staff was so welcoming, they took a careful amount of time to explain every dish, never let our water cups go below halfway, and were quick to be nearby in case we needed a top up of our hot sake. The food itself was unbelievable. The chef is truly a master. He even stayed after the set course and asked us what we would want to try and he was quick to chef up some additional masterpieces. While everyone at this restaurant went above and beyond I would like To call out a special shoutout to young and upcoming chef Vincent for taking very good care of us.

Loved the whole experience, amazing food, amazing service. Just the performance of the Sushi chef and the crew, the attention to detail. The host was amazing in explaining the food and the background.
Thiag L — Google review
To be honest, we chose this place to try omakase because they allow children to dine in and also fit in our trip schedule. So we give it a try. But we have to book a private room. So when we entered, the whole restaurant was separated into different rooms and because the hallway was very small, it felt quite unpleasant. The food was so so. The major upset was the rice. They put way too much vinegar, so the sour taste was too strong; most of the time, it overrided the taste of the sashimi on top. So after a few pieces, we tasted without the rice, and the sashimi were fresh and yummy, especially the urchin and the red shrimp. Although the waitress was nice and food were serving fast, I would not recommend anyone with children to come to this place. Firstly, the room is very small, and not easy for them to sit with that tatami setting. Secondly, the food choice for young children is really less. Either egg roll, deep fried shrimp roll, or cucumber roll. Thirdly, the steps to the toilet were really steep, quite dangerous to go in my opinion. Overall, the price is on the high side and to have this kind of quality you don't have to go for omakase just a regular sushi restaurant will do.
Carmen U — Google review
The place has two distinct themes: delicious fish and vinegar! The rice in their sushi has 2 types of vinegar giving it a very distinct subtle flavor. Their smaller plates and even their gari (pickled ginger) has an extremely strong flavor, making it an experience of extremes. The fish was amazing and well done! Totally worth going to taste for yourself! Service was great, as you would expect!

Ramen restaurant
Snug spot for classic ramen noodle soups & gyoza dumplings, within a shopping arcade.
In the heart of Roppongi beside a florist shop and under a gluten-free restaurant lies an unpretentious ramen shop like a classic diner. You are here to eat good old fashioned ramen. The owner was friendly and helped us in English. The regular ramen was recommended and tasted great - probably the 135 option is for regulars to try as the noodles are harder and soup is more oily than the regular. Classic prices and solid service. It was a good bowl of miso ramen and we'll stop in again next time we are in Tokyo.

Solid ramen, good broth and good noodles. A basic ramen for when you’re in the area and need to stop somewhere to eat. English friendly menu.

Very simple ramen. Noodles are undercooked and firmer, which everyone that comes here likes. Not much of a side menu, they have gyoza but usually sell out by the end of the night. Not my favorite type of ramen but is still worth a visit.

When you walk in; the atmosphere is heavy... You're not greeted. Menu is written in Japanese on the wall. Just say ''ramen'' if you don't speak japanese. Had the chashu : tons of meat. Not bad. The soup is good ; the noodles ok. Other than that it's fairly uninspiring and old school. Not bad but not sure I'll come back soon.

I have been to this ramen shop for about 30 years. When I was young, I went by car every day. Of course, bring the children. There are many fans of this ramen and it is always crowded. Of course, the ramen after drinking is delicious.

Tonkatsu restaurant
Tonkatsu Aoki Daimon is a no-frills restaurant known for its deep-fried, breaded pork strips. The open kitchen and counter seating provide a unique dining experience. Customers often line up to enjoy generous portions of tonkatsu at affordable prices. The restaurant's efficient service and convenient ordering system make it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. Located just 5 minutes away from Hamamatsucho, it's easily accessible for those traveling from Haneda Airport.
The food was served very fast and delicious. We want to try again next time. We got premium hire katsu and high quality loss katsu. And loss is better due to their marbling on meat.

Tonkatsu Aoki Daimon is a revelation in the art of Japanese comfort food. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by the irresistible aroma of freshly fried tonkatsu—a symphony of sizzling, golden-brown perfection that promises culinary bliss. The star of the show is, of course, the pork cutlet itself: encased in an impeccably crisp, airy panko crust that shatters delightfully under your bite, revealing tender, succulent meat that’s been seasoned to perfection. The accompanying tangy tonkatsu sauce and a side of shredded cabbage work in harmony, elevating the dish to an unforgettable level. The ambiance at Tonkatsu Aoki Daimon is a masterful blend of modern chic and traditional warmth. The sleek decor and friendly, attentive service create an inviting atmosphere, making each visit feel like a well-kept secret shared among true food enthusiasts. Whether you’re a tonkatsu veteran or a newcomer eager to experience authentic Japanese flavors, this place challenges every expectation with its impeccable execution and genuine passion for quality. For anyone in search of the ultimate tonkatsu experience, Tonkatsu Aoki Daimon is a must-visit. Prepare to indulge in a dish where every bite tells a story of culinary craftsmanship—your taste buds will thank you.

BEST TONKATSU WE’VE EVER HAD IN OUR LIVES. It’s no joke. My brother and I have had A LOT of tonkatsu in our lives, both while were in japan and outside of japan and this one tops it all. Located in a quiet neighborhood, it doesn’t stand out at all until you come inside and discover a homey and welcoming atmosphere. The tonkatsu—oh the tonkatsu…—was amazing. The breading was perfect, the miso soup, unique with its vegetables but was as great as the whole meal, the meat—OH THE MEAT—was divine. It was so tender you could cut it with your chopsticks and perfectly fatty enough to be juicy but not too much to be oily. I’ll come back here one day, mark my words. Important note: we ate at around 7pm and there was no line but come 8pm, expect it to become busy.

Feels like a really authentic experience. The food is katsu pork, with a lot of shredded cabbage, white rice and miso soup. It’s all good and a worthwhile experience. There is complimentary tea which is delicious. Enjoyed the meal, don’t think I can quite give it 5 stars but it’s a good 4 star food stop. This is a cash only establishment, and you pay before you eat.

We followed the Google reviews and we were not disapointed. The food here is the delicious. It is a small place but they have excelent service. We ordered Premium pork Fillet Tonkatsu (our favorite) and Loin Tonkatsu (has more fat but the meat is tender and very well cooked). Every meal comes with Miso soup, rice and complementary tea. Completely recommend this place for a good traditional meal in a cozy place.

Haneda Airport is a waterfront airport that serves the Greater Tokyo Area and offers direct rail access to the city, as well as free WiFi. Travelers can take the Keikyu Limousine Bus to Yokohama Station and transfer to the Yokosuka Line or Shonan Shinjuku Line to reach Kamakura Station, which takes about an hour.
I'm very impressed with Haneda T3 and it's very functional and easy. The place is massive but easy to find information. Access to departures is really easy. Inside, the departure area is massively long with a lot of shops. Mostly branded one, but there's also a nice food court with very reasonable prices, offering a lot of Japanese choices. This is my fifth time here, and I am finally doing my Google Review.

Flight was excellent, airport is massive but the process of getting off, going through customs and grabbing our luggage was phenomenal! So well organized. Be prepared to go through miles of transit to get places with very fast, paced people moving in a quick manner. Loved flying over the city before landing. Just amazing.

Haneda Airport is truly one of the best airports in the world. From the moment you arrive, everything feels seamless—clean, efficient, and well-organized. The signage is clear, making it easy to navigate even for first-time visitors, and security and immigration move quickly compared to many major airports. The terminals are modern, bright, and filled with a wide range of dining and shopping options, from authentic Japanese restaurants to luxury boutiques. The staff are courteous and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. Amenities like spotless restrooms, clean showers, and comfortable seating areas make layovers far more enjoyable. Transportation to and from the city is also incredibly convenient. Haneda combines Japanese hospitality with world-class efficiency, making travel smooth and stress-free.

Haneda Airport is one of the cleanest airports I’ve seen right next to Changi in Singapore. Very organized and well-maintained, you can do lots of things there with plan spotting at the observation deck. The Terminal 3 is very easy to navigate. Can’t wait to see Japan again in the future!

Upstairs, there’s a Don Quijote. You don’t need to worry about buying souvenirs elsewhere because this airport has everything! I even forgot to bring my child’s milk bottle, and luckily I found one there. The price was the same as outside The halal food is delicious and the portions are big!

Very efficient, don't have to walk as much to get to your departure gate, there are outlets for almost every seat at each gate if you want to charge your phone or PC, there is a hot water fountain if you have your own tea bags. On top of that, the airport is like a combination of Little Tokyo and a museum.

The Haneda Airport Terminal 1 Observation Deck is a wooden viewing deck located at the domestic terminal of Haneda Airport. To access it, take an elevator at the central area of T1 to the 6th floor, where you'll find two observation decks offering fantastic views of JAL airplanes at domestic gates, the international terminal T3, and even Mt. Fuji. This spot is perfect for watching flights departing and landing on the runway.
One of the best airport observation deck I've ever been to. Located at the top floor of the mall in terminal 1, it's free, clean and has seats/vending machines. There are two levels with wire fences. If you got tele-lens you can definitely shoot without the wires entering the view (images i post are either 50mm or 14-24mm).

Perfect place for plane spotting. Can have Mount Fuji as background if weather permits.

Although I have arrived at Haneda Airport many times and yet this was my first visit to this observation deck. I have heard this was the place to have a great sunset photo with Fuji San in view. They were on the floor 6 and one observation deck at both sides. They were all facing west. I checked out both and felt that north one had a better view imho. Although I did check the time for sunset it turned out it was densely cloudy. In the end it was a great way to visit this busy JAL hub.

Quite a fun little excursion while waiting a few hours until my flight, I definitely wish this was more of a thing where I'm from in the U.S. Even on a hot summer day, you get an excellent view of the planes. People outside tend to be a mix of professional plane spotters, travelers and enthusiasts. There's vending machines outside as well and shade. There's even a higher observation point accessible via staircase if the first observation deck wasn't good enough! (lol)

the night view of the entire aera was wonderful.I recommended to go to the gulliver observation desk at the top. Anamori Inari Shrine, a Shinto shrine dating back to the early 19th century, is known for its striking corridor of red torii gates and numerous stone fox statues. Originally built to protect villagers from natural disasters, the shrine offers worshippers sacred sand called Osuna, believed to fulfill various wishes such as success in business and safe travels. Situated near Haneda Airport, it was relocated due to airport expansion.
Anamori Inari Shrine is a stunning gem located in Ota City. I initially planned to visit during the day, but due to traffic and other commitments, I ended up going in the evening. And honestly, it was the best decision I could have made! In the evening, the shrine was completely quiet, with no one else around. I was able to take my time and fully appreciate the beauty and tranquility of the shrine without any distractions. As you can see from the pictures, there were no crowds, and I had the opportunity to admire the architecture and atmosphere in peace. If you're considering a visit, I highly recommend going in the evening for a truly serene experience!
De-Jie T — Google review
The shrine is located near Haneda Airport. The grounds are very clean and beautiful with many torii gates. When purchasing red seals, it is better to purchase three kinds of seals at once. If you do not purchase them together, you will not be able to get the third red seal.

WoW! One of the coolest Shinto Shrines I’ve visited in the Tokyo area. Reminds me of Fushimi Inari in Kyoto. Super well kept and the red Tori gates were very nice. There is a small mountain up the stairs. Easy walk from the station.
Daniel S — Google review
Charming temple that is much larger than it seems at first. As we were staying at a hotel near the airport (we arrived VERY late the night before), I'd done a little scouting on Google Maps beforehand, and knew I wanted to see this place. The history of the temple is long, and not particularly relevant to your enjoyment of it, so I'll let others expand on that. I just wanted to visit because I like Babymetal, and there are tons of fox god idols here, so that was all the motivation I needed. There's nothing else like it in the immediate area: everything else is modern, either a business or a neighborhood, so Anamori Inari temple stands out as a result. It's an island of serenity floating in the sea of madness that is the greater Tokyo area, and absolutely worth a visit.
Jason C — Google review
Beautiful shrine that is small enough to walk with my children so they appreciated the culture and beauty. Suggest getting the pamphlet in storefront that explains every prayer spot. Also got in pretty early to avoid crowds.
Nicole M — Google review
A beautiful small shrine near Haneda airport that has a corridor of torii gates and many smaller shrines and gates for a fox deity from the area. The shrine is small and beautiful with a small vantage point for a lovely view. I emphasise small though and if you are al3wady planning to visit Kyoto, it may not be worth going out of your way to be here. During tourist seasons it will be unbearably busy. There is only space for a single file of people and they even have a luggage lock up location cos of the negative impact of people trying to rush the shrine on their way to the airport. Save this location for when you are in Japan off-peak or perhaps an evening. It is lovely but only when it is peaceful. And despite all this, if you have many shrines and the major shrines on your to-do list, it may not be time best spent to get here as there is not a wealth if other things to do for a relatively short trip to Japan.
Daryl S — Google review
If you’re looking for a unique experience like Kyoto’s famous Fushimi Inari Shrine, but in Tokyo, Anamori Inari Shrine is a must-visit. Located near Haneda Airport, this shrine once stood on the airport grounds before World War II. Back then, it was known for having an astonishing 47,000 torii gates — far more than Fushimi Inari’s estimated 10,000 gates today! The torii formed long tunnels stretching for kilometers, so dense that they created shade and even protected visitors from the rain. Today, while the shrine is much quieter, it retains its magical charm with rows of bright red torii gates. Locals believe that if you pray here in the morning, your wishes may come true by the evening. Once a bustling destination like Asakusa, the area used to be lively with inns, geisha houses, hot springs, and even clam-digging beaches. Even now, the number of torii gates keeps growing — almost as if multiplying like magic! Highlights: • Walk through vibrant red torii tunnels with a peaceful atmosphere • Perfect quick stop near Haneda Airport • Rich history as one of Tokyo’s former major attractions • A shrine so charming, you might become a lifelong fan after one visit! Come feel the powerful energy, make a wish, and maybe… see it come true before sunset.
とっとこハム太郎 — Google review
It is definitely a place worth seeing if you are in the area. At night, full of mysticism, peace and an extraordinary mood. In the morning, it is lively, cooler but still unusual.

Wanted to get a meal before our 10 hour international flight home. Wife wanted some comfort food before we left and we got tempura and soba! Great for what you get at an airport. Tempura was crispy and light. Soba was slightly chewy. Good quick meal before I go eat something else

Quick, tasty and reasonably priced Tendon (Tempura on top of rice in a bowl) with juicy sauce. The system is very efficient and the dish will be served in no time! You'll love freshly fried tempura - so different from precooked ones. Recommended for both tourists and business people, but perhaps not so for family group as the shop is quite tight and many people would be queueing. I had Tempura of squid, Anago (Japanese eel) and prawn with porched egg in the picture at JPY890. Fantastic!!! Must repeat!

The "Airport Jō-Tendon" at Haneda is a hybrid dish that blends old and new, featuring both classic pumpkin and modern shrimp and squid tempura. A unique and historic treat, available exclusively at the airport.

(Translated by Google) I visited here on 5/31/2025 after seeing a post from an acquaintance. I was so impressed that I decided to have lunch here after arriving at Haneda Airport from now on! The service and taste were completely different from what I would expect from the store's appearance and the ticket purchasing system. Since it was my first time, I ordered the "All-Star Bowl". The staff's movements were quick and pleasant, and the countertop set was immaculately clean, so it's safe for both men and women who dine alone. The taste was the same as the traditional "tempura bowl I had at a soba restaurant," and I have no complaints about it, as I have Tokyo roots. Next time, I'll decide on the vegetable tempura bowl. Shrimp is good, but I think the vegetable tempura here is probably the best♪ (Original)

Sukiya is a 24-hour Japanese restaurant chain that offers quick service, delicious food, and budget-friendly prices. They have English menus available and are known for their fast serving times. The portions are generous for the price, making it a convenient option for those looking for a meal late at night. While the menu is standardized across all locations, the quality of the food is consistent and satisfying.
Superb meal at very reasonable price. We had their beef hot pot, fried chicken, saba fish and chicken salad. All for less than 1000 yen per person. The food tasted fantastic and the amount of beef was a lot for the price.

I love how it's open 24/7. The service was extremely quick; food was served in less than two minutes after placing our orders. I loved the unagi bowl with gyudon. I highly recommend adding a raw egg and mixing it with the rice. I can't wait to visit again!

This Sukiya is open 24/7 and located across from the JAL city hotels, making it an extremely accessible option for travelers. The food is great, service is quick, and they have takeout options. If you’re looking for a quick meal don’t hesitate to drop by Sukiya.

We just got rejected to eat the restaurant. We've just arrived and sit. It was barely a minute. Haven't even started ordering, when suddenly we were told that no children is allowed to eat the restaurant. We have two ten year old boys. I've googled it, and it showed that Sukiya doesn't have no child policy, so I don't know what's going on. We decided to eat at the ramen restaurant right in front of it.

Small chain restaurants. Good value. Comparing the food in NYC, it deserves 5 stars. Two full combos are only $12. Nothing I can complain. The waiter helps us to order from IPad and served food in 2 minutes. No need tip even though I do want to tip them.

Breakfast restaurant
Hitoshinaya is a hidden gem located in Terminal 2 near gate 72, offering an introduction to the delicacy of Wagyu beef. With only three items on the menu, including a Rice Bowl topped with Wagyu Beef and Egg, Miso soup, and pickled ginger, this restaurant provides quick service and a delightful dining experience.
Even you’re flying internationally, you should go to T1 to eat this authentic, beautiful Japanese dishes. It’s surprisingly delicious and you can enjoy true Japanese ’dashi’(Japanese soup base or broth) power. The dashi drink (free, served along with cold delicious water) will make your stomach ready for this subtle yet flavorful small plates. Oh even for me a Japanese, this is one of the best unforgettable foods. Wish they have another place in T3. After long flight without deep comfy sleep, or before the flight back to your home, their gentle and tasty food will make your trip in Japan very relaxing and memorable. (The free shuttle runs every 6-8 min, and it’ll take only a few minutes from T3 to T1)

My friend and I had lunch here and we both ordered the salmon set. The food was really good and the service was also really good. We both added umeboshi to our set and their umeboshi was great. Wish they sold them. I want to go back and try the rice porridge set and the dashi chazuke set. As soon as we sat down they brought us a little cup of dashi, which was delicious. Seating is mostly counter and they have bins behind the seats for your belongings. This restaurant is located in Terminal 1 on the 2nd floor.

I think this is a good find from my friend and the food offered fit my palette and located in Terminal One. I love the meal combo with congee or green tea dashi set. The food tastes so light and comforting and best for lunch food! The side dishes all tasted very good from pickle veggie to fish and chicken to tofu. It’s just my kind of food! If u r flying domestic leaving or arriving Hamada airport around afternoon tea, I will always go again there for a light, tasty and comforting meal! The set is about 2000 yen, i think all worth it from my (low 😛) Canadian standard 😁. I recommend this place if u pass by in the airport!

Great place for early morning breakfast. Nice space, with light and wood, good ambience. Few simple breakfast sets that are good quality food. You get warm dashi to start your meal, then you order one of the sets they have. 1700¥ for breakfast that is really filling and high quality.

This place is a hidden gem in Terminal 2, next to gate 72. Have you ever tried Wagyu beef? Wow! This is a great way to get an introduction to this delicacy of Japan. If you’re going to eat in the airport, you won’t go wrong ordering from this restaurant. Only 3 items on the menu, but that’s all you need. I ordered the Rice Bowl topped with Wagyu Beef and Egg. The platter comes with Miso soup and pickled ginger, too! Very quick service as well. Wish I was coming back soon to try the other dishes. Hitoshinaya hit a grand slam home run. I just had to give it a rating before I got on my flight. I would bring this dish home for my family to try, but it won’t make it there. 😃 Let me know what you think if you try it out!

Solid 4 if they had cleared the dirty rags off the counter it might have been better one style with three topping options.

Oooh how I love Japanese rice. Accordingly the rice was served to the imperial palace and deservingly so. Everything is so petite and tasty. We chose to eat at the section that serves the rice. Free refill of rice and soup that can be drank like a tea or added to rice to make into porridge. The oijicha ice cream was a nice finish to the whole meal although I must say the rice was filling. There are other section that serves soba I think. Will go there during transit just to feel the zen atmosphere and a taste of eating like a royalty! Came back second time but it was closed by 3pm. Last order 230pm. Beware.

Recommended for traveller who arrived early morning. Now opening from 5:30AM till 15:00 (if Im not wrong). Visited few times before. The price increased (1,600¥-1,700¥ JUN2023) and the quality of food and service surprisingly decreased. You can see the salmon is dried. The temperature of everything was not warm enough. + The service quality is like "Fast Food" restaurant. The staff ignored the man next to me and he needed to call different staff to attend.

Yakiniku Champion at Haneda Airport Terminal 3 offers a delightful dining experience with good quality A5 Wagyu Beef at reasonable prices. The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance and polite staff, making it a great place to enjoy Japanese beef. Their set menu includes meat, sea weed soup, rice, kimchi, and salad. Customers appreciate the labeled cuts on the meat platter and rave about the delicious flavors of the beef.
Great place for a quick bite before your flight. Staff are friends and speak English. English menu is available. Menu show a general list of ingredients per dish (pictures). Oxtail soup was delicious. Good amount of meat in the soup. The cuts of beef were fresh and perfect after being on the grill for a little over one minute. 5 meat plates, 1 soup, 2 small rice costed around 11000jpy.

Was waiting upto 5pm for the place to open up. My flight change made me spend the whole day at the airport. I would say it was a blessing in disguise. Polite staff and warm. You'll get good meat here incase you haven't experienced the beef in Japan. The set up is quite good. You can opt for the set that comes with the meat, sea weed soup, rice, kimchi and a wholesome salad. I opted for the 3 types of lean meat and when the platter arrived, it had the cuts labelled on the meat. I quite like the concept. Thank you for a good meal. Will surely come back with an empty belly someday for the recommended course.

When mom says she wants wagyu before leaving Japan, we agreed and went to Yakiniku Champion. Oh my goodness, what a delicious and satisfying meal we had before taking off to go home. If I can order again, I would get two of the A5 steaks and a bowl of rice. Asked our host to just salt the steak and grill the pieces on the bbq. It’s just THE BEST thing you can eat! Can’t wait to visit Japan again!

We went here to do a bit of shopping - specifically UNIQLO shopping. The sales of UNIQLO are better than other countries because UNIQLO is japanese. But we got so much more than that. The train & station going here is soo modern! What a treat! When we arrived we were greeted by the UNICORN GUNDAM outside. But it was not schedule to change or have a light show. I recommend checking its schedule as an added experience if you are going here anyway. We loved the clean toilets with special sections for small children. The automated cotton candy machine looked so cool. There are a lot of interesting shops in this mall. They had Lego that I've never seen in other Lego stores before. The sale prices of Uniqlo was lower than in other countries. We had a quick and affordable Chinese fastfood for dinner at Panda Express. The orange chicken was yummy with the fried rice. After we had the best Strawberry & Banana ice cream nearby. Enjoyed our evening in this mall.

The mall itself is very nice and there are a lot of different stores, shops and entertainment! We visited multiple clothes shops, figure stores and their many crane games. The mall, like many others, have tax-free shopping if you spend more than 5500 yen. Yet this one requires you to download an app, register an user and input your card information just to get the refund. This should not be the norm!

The mall has a good selection of shops, including popular brands like H&M, Uniqlo, and Caco. The game arcade is more affordable compared to Akihabara, a fun and budget friendly option. Oh, what a fantastic mess of crazy this place is. A bit too crowded for my liking but otherwise great! There’s food, there’s shopping, there’s even like half of floor-worth of kids area for them to play in a you’re a parent and want a minute of as breather. Tempura donburi restaurant
Kaneko Hannosuke is a popular tendon restaurant located in the Nihonbashi area of Tokyo. Specializing in authentic Edo-style tempura rice bowls, this local chain has gained popularity for its mouth-wateringly crunchy tempura bowls topped with high-quality ingredients such as prawn, conger eel, squid, and soft-boiled egg.
Amazing tempura for a food court restaurant. All of the fried items were crispy and fresh and were not too oily. The eel and the mixed seafood cake were the stars of the show. The eel didn't have any bones and was soft and tender on the inside; the seafood cake had little scallops mixed with some vegetables that was a great with the rice. The sauce was also amazing, a bit sweet and a bit salty and it was the perfect pairing with all the items in the bowl. The price was reasonable, but the wait for the food was a bit long; so be wary of the wait if the food court is full!
Alexander C — Google review
Saw this at the food court. Their display looked so enticing so we decided to try. Surprisingly, one of the best meals I had during my vacation in Tokyo! The squid was the highlight for me, really soft & fresh. Shrimp and all other tempura veggies were delicious too. Didn't feel oily and the serving was generous.

The restaurant is very spacious and lots of seats and clean. No ticket machines to purchase the ticket unlike the other similar shops around. You have to shout to get the attention of the staff (obachan) who is in the kitchen area. No bell to call. They accept PayPay and SUICA as digital payment and credit cards too I think. The food is ok, same as any other chain restaurants. I came here for lunch because I was so late for lunch and many restaurants near by were out of lunch service time.

(Translated by Google) This beef bowl restaurant is about 300 meters along National Route 15 (Daiichi Keihin) from the east exit of Heiwajima Station on the Keikyu Main Line, past Yudetaro and at the intersection (in front of Omori Sports Center) at the traffic light corner. It is rare to find a Yoshinoya store whose signboard is black instead of orange. Arrived at 6pm, 2 first customers, 2 second customers, 4 take-outs. This store is self-service. Order and pay in advance at the reception counter. I ordered the summer limited green onion salted pork bowl (505 yen with kabosu pepper) and set A (raw vegetable salad, miso soup 162 yen). When the call buzzer rings, go to the provision corner to pick up your order. Immediately to the left are the chopsticks, spoons, small plates, pickled ginger, shichimi, soy sauce, and drinking water corner. In addition, there is a USB power source at the drink server (for a fee), sweets menu, and counter. The concept of this restaurant is to relax and unwind. Pork with crispy green onions, white sesame seeds, and green onion salt sauce. The amount of salt is just right and the rice goes well. The taste changed with the addition of Kabosu pepper, making it a little milder. When you finish eating, go to the lower table corner. The pork bowl is also recommended. Thank you for the meal. Came to the store for the first time in a week at 7:15, 1st customer, 2nd customer. From the warm morning menu, I ordered a grilled fish beef small bowl set meal (rice, salmon, miso soup, beef small bowl, raw salad 602 yen). Add pickled ginger to a small bowl of beef and serve with rice. Enjoy salmon while enjoying gyudon. The rice goes well with its strong flavor. I think it's a well-balanced set meal with raw salad and miso soup for the price. After finishing the meal, I took a break with my own tea and said thank you for the meal. Next time I'll have egg breakfast. I came to the store at 7:10 for the first time in 10 days, and there were no customers after me. We ordered the warm morning menu, W ham and egg beef small bowl set meal (rice, double ham and egg, miso soup, small beef bowl, raw salad 602 yen), and soft-boiled egg (85 yen). First, add soy sauce to the ham and egg and leave it as is. The half-boiled fried egg feels good. Place ham and egg on rice with soft-boiled egg and serve with rice. Finish off with a beef bowl with a small bowl of beef and pickled ginger. A nice accent is the raw salad and miso soup. A set meal that will keep you full and satisfied starting in the morning. Thank you for the meal. Came to the store at 7:20pm for the first time in about 2 months, 3 customers first, 7 customers later, many takeout. (Currently available for dine-in until 8:00 pm) To try the recently popular Yoshinoya Karaage, I ordered Karaage Don (regular 503 yen) and Set A (raw vegetable salad, miso soup 162 yen). The fried chicken is fried after ordering, so it takes some time. (About 5-6 minutes?) 3 large pieces of fried chicken thighs in a bowl (& raw vegetables! Combined with set A! Might be good if you don't have enough vegetables) The fried chicken marinated in a special sauce is hot, juicy, and thick. The batter is plump and crispy, and the rice goes well with the seasoning of ginger and soy sauce. Mayonnaise on raw vegetables with rice, and Japanese-style dressing on raw vegetable salad. No fried chicken + mayonnaise this time. I could taste the original fried chicken. Although it was only 3 pieces, it was quite filling so I was full and enjoyed the meal. Yoshinoya Karaage is definitely recommended. Looking forward to the other menus next time. (Translated by Google) I visited the former Yoshinoya store as it was renovated in early May 2025. This will be a comparative review with the previous store, but I will write it down. [Good points] You can enter the store, sit down, and order using a tablet, so you can order without waiting. [Points that caught my attention] ・As it has become narrower, there are some areas that may impede the flow of traffic. ・The space inside the store while waiting for takeout is small. ・It is difficult to understand whether takeout can be received from outside or only inside. ・Is there a parking space for people on bicycles? ・The seasoning space was shared in one place before, but this time there is only one space. Overall, it has become more compact than last time, and there are only two table seats, giving the impression that it is mainly for individuals and takeout rather than multiple people.

(Translated by Google) I went there for lunch. It's about a 5-minute walk from Keikyu Heiwajima Station, and the store is spacious. Order at the counter on the right side of the entrance, pick up your order, and then eat in at an available seat. When you receive your order, there are no cutlery such as chopsticks or spoons, so you take them out from the cupboard next to the counter. Red ginger and shichimi are also here, so if you don't notice, you'll have to go back and forth many times (many people actually do this), so be careful. The taste is the same since it's a chain restaurant, but the gyudon has less soup and the rice has more water. The pork soup had a lot of vegetables, carrots and lotus roots, and only one or two daikon radish and taro. There was no meat, and the soup was so muddy that I couldn't drink it all. The customer base is chaotic, typical of Heiwa Island, including Kuchara and old men who are always clicking their tongues. Personally, I won't go to Yoshinoya again because it's a failure. Sushi restaurant
Restaurant
Daiwa Sushi is a hidden gem nestled within the bustling Toyosu Market, renowned for its exceptional nigiri and rolls. This unpretentious eatery draws both locals and tourists eager to indulge in fresh, flavorful sushi that truly embodies authenticity. While the lines can be daunting, arriving early ensures you snag a spot for their delectable offerings. With counter seating that enhances the intimate dining experience, patrons are treated to melt-in-your-mouth pieces crafted from top-quality fish.
This is definitely the place to be for fresh and authentic sushi in the city, the omakase sushi set was excellent and with great variety, the tuna literally melts in your mouth and the sea urchin was really creamy and tasty. Despite the language barrier we a manage to exchange small conversation, the chef was really skillful and accommodating to my youngest who did not fancy shellfish and he plated her a fish replacement with a charring (from the torch) to enhance the flavor. Can see its a real hit with the locals too. Thanks everyone for the great time!

The fish and seafood used are of exceptional quality and freshness. We were served by a younger chef who can communicate with us in simple English and Cantonese. Our price included a set menu and other sushi dishes.
Harol I — Google review
Really fresh sushi. Worth the wait in line. You do their set menu and then you can add extra fish at the end. Very fair price for the quality. Walk through the elevated hallway coming out of the train station and then take the ramp down across the street from the fish market. You can't get to it from the street on the ground level. It's small so come with maybe 2 people tops.

Sushi was so good! We woke up at 4 AM due to jet lag and decided to try another Michelin sushi restaurant, but it was already fully booked for the 6 AM spot. Luckily, my husband had saved this place as plan B — and we were so glad he did! They had only two tables left, so we walked in right at 6 AM without a reservation. When we left, there was already a long line outside! Definitely recommend making a reservation or arriving early. They don’t have a menu, and the staff speak limited English, so we were a bit confused at first — we didn’t realize it was an omakase restaurant, which might have been our mistake. The chef simply started serving — about six plates of sushi, each with two pieces. Every bite was incredible: so fresh, soft, and melt in your mouth yet slightly chewy, with a subtle sweetness that lingered at the end. It was our first sushi meal in Japan, and honestly, I don’t think we’ll ever find this level of quality back in the U.S. It was absolutely worth waking up early for! Highly recommend this place — though it would be even better if they provided a little information about each type of sushi as they serve. The chef handled two tables (about six people total), so he couldn’t give detailed explanations — but the sushi quality more than made up for it!
Chunhee H — Google review
There was already a queue when I arrived around 9:30am. I went for the omakase, and every piece of sushi was fresh with generous cuts of sashimi. The staff were attentive, even topping up the ginger regularly. I highly recommend ordering a few extra pieces à la carte, the sushi is so good, one round just isn’t enough.

Oh my, happiness to the extreme with this place ! We got there at just after 0800 (it opens at 0600) after following advise from a highly regarded foodie. 10 min wait and we were allowed into this very tiny sushi Heaven with the U shaped counter. I wish we could create tangible ways to memorialize tastes and scents the same way we treasure photos and audio recordings. Beautifully presented. Fresh, melt in your mouth pieces. Get the omakase, you will not regret it . Can get with or without wasabi. Staff are friendly, professional, and our chef was horrified to find out there were such creations in the U.S. that mixed sushi with cream cheese (ie the Philadelphia roll). We ordered a few more pieces (Aji) after the omakase so our bill was a bit higher. You will need to leave your suitcases and umbrellas outside. But, as this is Japan, no one was worried about theft. Hours are : 0600-1400 Closed on Tuesday. Some photos :

Just had sushi for breakfast for the first time, and it was amazing! Daiwa Sushi near Toyosu Market starts serving at 6am, but expect a line. The service is top-notch, and the sushi is super fresh. Definitely worth it for the quality. Highly recommended! 🍣

“The Best Sushi in Tokyo!” With the omakase course including several cups of sake, it cost around 10,000 yen per person. It was so delicious that I definitely want to visit again. If you’re coming to see the Tsukiji Market, this is a must-visit spot. Be sure to enjoy it with some chilled sake—sake really enhances the flavor of the sushi!

Day 4

Keep it simple
For day 4, these 4 places should be enough to fill your day with something exciting to do in Ota. Start the day with Odaiba Ōedo-Onsen Monogatari and make your way through the city to get to Tokyu Plaza Kamata. This should take about 7 hours of your day.

Odaiba Ōedo-Onsen Monogatari is a relaxed lodging with functional rooms and complimentary breakfast. The onsen theme park offers 13 types of baths, including indoor baths sourced from a spring 1,400m underground, an open-air bath, and an outdoor footbath. Guests can choose from seven Yukata options and enjoy various services such as dining, shopping spaces replicating Edo downtown areas, relaxation areas post-bathing, and aesthetic facilities for all ages.
Great place to relax. Female only bathing area very quiet and lots of different areas to relax. Personal favourite was the bubble beds. Being from the UK and not used to process it would be good to note you need to remove robe and underwear in the female only locker room just before you enter the bathing room, no towels to be taken in either. Make sure when you enter any of the baths you use the water fountain to wash your body. It is a very respectful environment. No need for swimwear. If you get too hot there is a cold bath next to saunas. I paid extra for the heated sauna. It's a great thing to do if you want a quiet area to lie down and read/sleep. Food was nice, nothing special although lots of variety. Please note when you leave there may well be a large queue to pay, if you are catching public transport ensure you leave enough time. I needed at least 30mins.

Came here to soak in the hot springs and have dinner. The hot springs were really nice, although crowded -- admission is cheaper in the evening, which is when I went, so there were many people. There was a large selection of food and the atmosphere was really nice. The festival-like games were neat but definitely geared more towards children. Would definitely recommend for families with children.

We love this place much. Great place for relaxing and to cure the tiredness after long travel around the town. Checking in was easy. I get to wear my first yukata, we get to choose the design. This place has a lot of hot bath which able to accommodate large crowd of customer. However hot bath temperature is too high for me. Foot soak is fun and temperature was good. We paid an extra amount for the salt rock sauna, it was uncomfortable at first because sleeping on the hard rock, but after a while, I can definitely feel that my body is lighten with toxin.. After the hot bath, they provide facilities for shower and drying which fully equipped. Besides, they have a great variety of food and the price is much cheaper than outside. They are delicious and fresh. You will never get hungry in there. Besides, they do provide free water and green tea, you will never get dehydrated. They also have a large rest area, with massage chair and television. I feel relaxed and asleep. Checkout was easy too. Entrance ticket fees is definitely worth the price which you can the entire day without noticing.

An onsen themed park with many food, drinks and games stalls built into the park. It has many pools and an outdoor area for foot spa. The food here is great and portion is good too. You can spend half a day here and be well rested and entertained. Good for groups and couples to come. The spa is sodium chloride water and there are 4 types of pool. The less hot, the more hot, the cold and the outdoors. There is a steam sauna and a jacuzzi in there too. You can spend an hour in there to recover from your tiredness and stress. After that you can enjoy yourselves with the many restaurants and games stalls around. The staff here are all English friendly and very hospitable. A 5 star experience for me.

An amazing experience. A great hot spring theme park if you are in Tokyo. The springs are refreshing and there is enough space to accommodate the many people there. There are also massages, thought they are fairly pricey. Many great food options in the main area, all very delicious and not too expensive. You also wear a traditional clothing. A great way to relax and have fun at the same time! Highly recommended!
Mike W — Google review
This is a very cool place to spend an afternoon! Plenty of food selections, Japanese festival games, and the beer is pretty good, too! There's an outdoor rocky stream walk, they claim that it's an excellent foot massage; if you have tender feet like me, it will be more torturous than therapeutic! The baths are pretty standard fare as far as onsen go, but they are nice all the same. The baths are mostly indoor, but there are a couple of outdoor soaking pools.
Andrew H — Google review
This is a great place to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle from the city. Once you enter, you can spend the whole day here and use the facilities as much as you want. There are different baths which provide different benefits with water pumped from natural underground volcanic springs. There are various food stalls and the prices are not too expensive. There's also an area with reclining chairs to lie down and relax/sleep if you want to take a break from the spa/baths.
E T — Google review
Great place to visit while in Tokyo. Hint : there is a discounted price after 6 pm! We went on a Saturday night and there were a lot of people, without feeling too crowded because it is a big place. The baths are very nice, especially the outside part. There are instructions in English everywhere, so it's a smooth experience even it's your first time at an onsen. There are plenty of food options available at reasonable prices (more expensive than outside, but not extortionate). Basically, the entrance fee covers entry to all public areas which include dining room and food court, tatami room, male and female baths, mixed outdoors foot bath area, and a room with lounging chairs and TVs for relaxing. Other services (massages and other such treatments) come as extras. You wear a bracelet with a key to your locker and a bar code which is scanned every time you buy food or a service, and you pay the total bill at the end. Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Tokyo!

Tokyo Port Wild Bird Park is a metropolitan sanctuary for birdwatching, offering observation huts and a nature center equipped with telescopes. Situated just a 15-minute walk from Tokyo Monorail Ryutsu Center Station, the park is surrounded by Wangan Road and Metropolitan Expressway.
A bit of a walk from the station, but worth it if you love birds and nature! They have binocular rentals for those who don't have one, and multiple viewing huts along the park. I also spotted two cats walking about. If you also like planes, there's an endless wave of planes flying overhead, as Haneda Airport is close by.

Great park to see shorebirds and waterfowl! Sure it is close to some industrial areas and the airport but that doesn't take away from the experience. The Nature Centre is really nice with good blinds. The trails in the park also have a good selection of blinds to sit quietly and watch the multitude of birds.

It’s located close to haneda airport. There’s bus line between station and park but only two buses per an hour. But if you have to wait why not walking? It took about less than 20 minutes. There’s entrance fee about 300 yen. There are 4 huts that you could sit and observe. Also some open areas. A natural center. I met quite a few of birds herons cormorants mallards and lots of tsubame flying about. I have been visiting bird watching or bird sanctuary around the Tokyo area. By far this is the most satisfying place. Of all the rest maybe depending on the timing of visit I didn’t get to meet variety of birds.

This is a lovely green oasis with bird blinds and a large nature centre, within a short walking distance of the Tokyo monorail. We went there from Haneda airport while waiting for a flight. It's free, well-tended, quiet, and if you have a telephoto lens, a great place for taking pictures.

Visited late morning/afternoon. Several excellent observation huts and blinds that make birdwatching and photography easy and comfortable. The huts felt significantly cooler inside which was a very nice reprieve from the heat. There is ambient industrial/city noise but I did not feel that it affected the experience. Ample opportunity for birding in silence. There are vending machines with drinks and snacks and the facilities were well maintained.

A lovely little park - great for tourists who forgot to pack their binoculars as it has free rental! There is a nice enclosed building with information about the local birds, and quiet places to sit and watch them.

The place is nice and you can take a fresh breath out of busy Tokyo city.. But unfortunately I didn't see many birds.. I t is true that there are lots of birds but they are a bit far from the visitors accessible area.. So you need a pro cam to take photos or binoculars to see them properly.. The time I was visiting, one viewing spot was closed due to some repair. Haneda airport is near, so u can always see airplanes in the sky taking circles.. Lovely place.

Ōmori Furusato-no-Hamabe Park is a charming waterside park located in Tokyo, offering a re-creation of the Omori Kaigan from olden times. The park features a 400-meter white sand beach suitable for sunbathing and playing in the water. Families can enjoy gathering shellfish and crabs along the seashore, while also taking advantage of the playground equipment and natural spaces available.
A nice place for evening stroll! Many families come here for visit! This is an artificial beach good for family outings! You might find a calm spot if you find! good place for summer one day trip!

Nice big park, open spaces, places for children to play, picnic blankets to be laid down, even some large ish trees to provide shade, sandy beach. Only downer is the view across the water is not particularly nice. Lots of sports fields nearby, other parks close as well. Surprisingly nice for the area you walk through to get there.

One of my all time favorite places to enjoy the sun in Ota-ku. If I'm not walking or running along the Tama, you can find me soaking up the sun here. For a perfect weekday afternoon I recommend swinging by the nearby Lawson for a few snacks and maybe a crisp local microbrew on the beach. If you are there on the weekend then you should be able to take advantage of the cafe on-site.

It's a bit weird because it directly connects with Granduo, and you might not realized when you go from one to the other. It's been slowly undergoing a face lift so it doesn't seem as old and tired as it used to. The shops have rotated around as well so there's a good selection. I mainly come here for the cafés and restaurants. The roof top is pretty cool too.

Soba noodle shop
Shinanoji is a budget-friendly standing-eating soba restaurant located near Kamata East Exit Shopping Street. The shop offers a variety of set meals, including kakiage, eggplant, garland chrysanthemum, and curry rice with daily tempura options. It has a Kanto-style thick soba that's slightly soft. Additionally, the establishment also features a bar at the back where patrons can enjoy drinks in the morning.
(Translated by Google) In the foreground is a standing soba restaurant 🥰 If you go further in, you can sit and drink 😃 I like this atmosphere ❤️ There are quite a lot of regulars, but they are friendly and will explain anything you don't understand. I sat alone at the counter and ordered some red sausages and stew, and quenched my thirst with a cold bottle of beer ❣️If you're feeling a bit hungry, you can also eat soba and udon noodles with delicious soba broth 🥰 (Original)

Bit pricey for what it is. The food was okay, including the noodle soups. Better to stick to drinks and snacks.

(Translated by Google) At first glance, it looks like a standing soba restaurant, but once you step inside, the interior also looks like a normal standing soba restaurant lol But it seems like there are more people drinking alcohol than eating soba? It might be hard to get away with "senbero" (cheap drinks). But it's a fun place with a reasonably priced drink and a fun atmosphere.

Of course, it is not suitable for groups, even for drinking while standing. Maybe two people at most. There seemed to be an overwhelming number of solo customers in the back. Popular store! (Translated by Google) I thought it was a stand-up soba restaurant, but I was surprised when I went in. The counter in the front is a stand-up soba restaurant, and the counter in the back is a drinking establishment that operates during the day, and it seems to be quite a famous restaurant. Not knowing this, I ate soba at the drinking establishment counter in the back, but soba with horse mackerel tempura on top is rare, so I ordered it, and it was delicious. It's a restaurant with a unique atmosphere that would probably require more courage to enter a second time than the first time, but it was a restaurant that made me feel like this is what Kamata is all about.

Kakiage tempura soba is 370 yen!! I rarely see such cheap and delicious restaurants in the metropolitan area. I admire the owner's management efforts. Eggplant and chikuwa tempura, the eggplant was soft and the chikuwa was elastic, it was delicious. All this for 450 yen! I'll go again. Today, I splurged and got horse mackerel tempura soba, squid tempura, and chrysanthemum tempura for 560 yen! Both the horse mackerel and the squid were thick and delicious! Cheap and delicious, a friend of the common people. The people who have been drinking since morning at the counter in the back are also kind. The prices have finally gone up, I had kakiage soba for 420 yen, squid tempura for 150 yen, and horse mackerel tempura for 150 yen. It's delicious, but it's gotten expensive. Still, it's cheaper than station soba, but it can't be helped. Sanyō Shokudō is a long-standing establishment that has been around since 1950. It's a popular spot, with a mix of regular and first-time customers visiting on Saturdays. The menu offers a variety of options, including the highly recommended Tuna Chutorobutsu Set Meal and Large Shrimp Fried. Customers are seated promptly, and the food is praised for its delicious flavors and generous portions. The restaurant also offers good value for money and free parking.

There are about 7-8 restaurants. The area in front of the restaurant was lively, and the staff welcomed customers and explained the dishes to us. We entered Sanyo Shokudo. The first floor has a U-shaped counter with 13 seats? One table for four. The staff takes your order when you enter. As a result, your order is served about five minutes after you sit down. I ordered the saury set meal, and added some medium-fatty tuna and a bottle of beer while I was there. The saury was delicious, but I wish it was a little hotter. The fried shrimp was plump and had just the right texture. The tuna was delicious with just the right amount of fat. 900 yen for a single dish is a bit pricey for me, though. The staff's service was excellent. I was full and satisfied. Being a market restaurant gave me an extra excitement. I'd like to return in a different season to sample seasonal cuisine. Located in a corner of a bustling market, the aroma of fried food wafting through the air immediately whetted my appetite. (´∀`) When I looked at the menu, everything was so tempting I couldn't decide what to order. I was drawn to the large fried conger eel, but I was also excited by the hearty lineup, including large fried shrimp and a negitoro rice bowl. After some deliberation, I finally decided on a set meal, which looked just as impressive as it looked, and it brought a smile to my face. (≧▽≦) The fried conger eel was crispy, stuffed with soft, fluffy flesh that melted in my mouth. The fried shrimp was plump and sweet, and the negitoro rice bowl was fresh and perfectly fatty! Every dish was carefully prepared, and I could sense the restaurant's commitment to each and every dish. The staff were very friendly, and their energetic greetings and pleasant service were memorable. I even received a shop sticker on my way out, making it a wonderful memory! (^-^) This is the perfect place for those who want to enjoy a delicious set meal while immersing themselves in the market atmosphere. It's also recommended for those who want a hearty breakfast. Ordering is done by looking at the paper sign in front of the restaurant and speaking to the lady. After ordering, I was shown to my seat and sat down. From the menu, I ordered the large tuna set meal with large fried shrimp. Watching the kitchen staff efficiently prepare the tuna from the counter was a brisk and enjoyable experience. My meal was served. Wow, it was a satisfying set meal: two slices of otoro and chutoro, three slices of lean tuna, large fried shrimp, miso soup, and pickled radish. The otoro had some muscle, but the fat melted in my mouth and was delicious. The lean tuna seemed to provide a good iron boost. The fried shrimp was crispy, and the tartar sauce was delicious when combined with the tuna. The miso soup was also a great accompaniment. You can also request various amounts of rice. The lady in front of the store and the kitchen staff, mostly women, are attentive and thoughtful, giving it a homey feel. It seems you can pay by card as well as cash. Thank you for the meal♪ (Original) 2025/11/1初訪問 三連休初日の11時半過ぎに訪問、ある程度の入りでしたが待つことなく入店。

Arrived at 18:30, 5 first customers, 3 second customers. I ordered the Yokohama omu beef curry (790 yen for a standard serving), which was a menu I was interested in. Curry, beef bowl, and omelet, popular menu items combined into one dish. A European-style curry with a gentle flavor and a roux with plenty of vegetables. It's rich but mild (the secret ingredient is yogurt), and the spiciness is modest. The classic beef goes perfectly with the cheese and spinach omelette wrapped in a fluffy egg. The cheese and egg make it even more mellow. Fukujinzuke is also a nice addition. The spiciness can be adjusted with the spicy sauce (1 to 5 spicy). Thank you for the delicious dish, which was satisfying even without adding any spiciness. Came here at 7pm for the first time in 2 weeks, 6 first customers, 9 second customers, 9 take outs, it's quite popular. Ordered the omu beef bowl (520 yen for a standard serving) and the salted koji pork soup set (210 yen). An omelette with cheese and spinach wrapped in a fluffy egg, topped with ketchup sauce and served with beef. Gooey cheese and fluffy eggs taste like beef and iron. Radish, carrot, burdock, onion, konjac, taro, and pork pork soup. It's a little salty, but the flavor and sweetness of the pork makes it delicious. Adding salt koji sauce gives it a mild taste. Thank you for the meal. Came to the store for the first time in a week at 6:40pm, 4 customers first, 7 customers later, 5 take-out customers. For a limited time, I ordered the NY pork bowl (580 yen) and the salad set (miso soup and potato salad, 210 yen). The thinly sliced and tender pork pastrami (smoked meat) is slightly salty and has a bacon-like texture. The crunchy heaps of onion slices coated with soy sauce, wasabi and mayo sauce have a spiciness, and are delicious when eaten with pastrami and rice. Potato salad with classic sesame sauce. Thank you for the meal. I came to the store at 6:50pm for the first time in about 3 months and ordered the store-only beef short rib set meal (680 yen, rice, miso soup, clam soup, 110 yen, namul salad). (Limited hours from 3pm to 5am, takeout not available) The beef ribs flavored with yakiniku sauce were light and not greasy. It is delicious when eaten on rice with sesame-flavored namul. The beef rib plate salad (cabbage, corn, broccoli) is also a blessing. It's more value for money than the beef short ribs bowl. Clam soup has a classic gentle taste. I added some rib sauce on the way and ate it all. Thank you for the meal. Namul is recommended. Nestled away from the bustling streets, Shun is a charming restaurant that offers an exquisite dining experience with its multi-course seasonal set meals prepared in an open kitchen. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual diners and those seeking a more intimate setting. During my visit, I was delighted by the chef's willingness to accommodate even the pickiest of eaters, ensuring every dish was not only flavorful but also tailored to individual preferences.

We had a fantastic experience at Shun. We arrived in Daiba late one evening to find most nearby restaurants closed. We called ahead and asked if they could seat us as it was pretty close to closing. We thought we were fortunate to have the place to ourselves but turned out the chef had kindly kept the place open past closing to ensure we were fed. What fantastic hospitality! He has previously worked in Dallas and LA prior to opening this restaurant so told us great stories about his experience in the restaurant business. The food was incredible. He demonstrated his amazing culinary ability by taking us through a tour of his skills in preparing sashimi, tempura, udon. His recommendations for sake pairing were excellent. If you're in Tokyo, especially near Daiba, I highly recommend checking out Shun!

He also had a fantastic choice of shochu and sake, with some rare/ hard to find/ buy ones. Great place and service - worth visiting.

Senzokuike Park, located in Tokyo, is a serene lakeside park known for its beautiful cherry blossoms and vibrant fall colors. The park features one of the largest ponds in Tokyo, called Senzokuike, which holds historical significance as it is believed that Nichiren washed his feet there. Visitors can enjoy boat rentals on the lake and explore the picturesque bridges within the park.
Very nice park to stroll around and see the autumn foliage! You can rent boats to enjoy the lake. Lots of wildlife photographers waiting around to take pictures of the different birds in the park.

When I was a student in Tokyo Institute of Technology (also called as Tokodai, only until Oct 2024, then it is Institute of Science, Tokyo (I know weird)), I used to frequent here multiple time! The evenings are particularly pleasant and worth all the walk. The pain of research vanishes, the moment you see sunset here! A must visit place. Be careful and not feed the pigeons here!

Shinto shrine
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Tamagawa Sengen-jinja Shrine is a historic Shinto complex dating back to the 1100s, featuring pagodas and torii gates. It is dedicated to Konohanasakuyahimenomikoto, a deity associated with cherry blossoms and revered for promoting household harmony, safe childbirth, and safeguarding sea travel, fishery, agriculture, machinery, and fire prevention.
It’s beautiful shrine with a view of Musashikosugi skyline 🏙 & Mt. Fuji 🗻 Shinkansen tracks, Metro lines & Tamagawa river can be seen too. Surrounded in the peaceful neighborhood. Slope is not so inclined. Highly recommended to come here in the evening to catch a glimpse of night view. Parking facility available in the shrine!

This shrine is so beautiful. And when you enter at your left you will see a magnificent view over Kanagawa prefecture, more precisely what you see is Musashi Kosugi 🌉🌃🌆 And on clear days you can also admire Fuji san! 🤍

The Tamagawa Sengen-jinja Shrine is a very beautiful and very ancient shrine dating from the 11th century. Everything you read here is true, including the warning that one might get pregnant from ringing the bell at the shrine. Pro-tip: Go there a bit before sunrise on a clear day, and bring your camera. The sun emerging from behind Mt. Fuji can be spectacular. Bring a jacket, it can get a bit chilly before the sun is up.

多摩川浅間神社 Tamagawa Sengen Jinja is situated on a hill by the Tamagawa River. The shrine enshrines the deity of Mt. Fuji, Sengen. The hill the temple is built on is considered a Fuji-zuka (a surrogate Mt. Fuji). The shrine is accessed by two flights of stairs. A pair of trees joined with a sacred tsuna are used for omikuji tying.

Sengen Shrine is a beautifully preserved, must-see landmark in the Tamagawa area. Overlooking the Maruko Bridge, you can see Mt. Fuji on clear days. The shrine itself offers a full range of ceremonial services for life events. In the summer you can enjoy the annual fireworks display from the concrete open space adjacent to the main grounds. #tamagawa
Steffen E — Google review
Tamagawa Sengen shrine is said to have been built eight hundred years ago. When Minamoto no Yoritomo went to battle, his wife, Masako, worried about him, went looking for him, but was forced to abandon her journey due to a wounded foot. She decided to get treatment close to Tamagawa river and visited Sengen Shrine to pray for eternal luck on the battlefield for her husband. She then built the statue of a bodhisattva called Fuji Sengen Daibosatsu Bodhisattva by the villagers and was long respected and worshiped. This became the origin of Tamagawa Sengen Shrine. Four hundred years later, in 1652, at the time of construction of the pass to Sengen Shrine, the Chinese copper statue of Daibosatsu Bodhisattva was excavated under the 9th station of Mt. Fuji. It was cleaned at the Tamagawa River and enshrined. Since then, the Tamagawa Sengen Shrine holds an annual ritual to celebrate it.

Park
Nature & Parks
Tamagawadai Park is a hillside park located in Ota City, offering stunning views of the river and distant mountains. Spanning 6 hectares, this park features botanical gardens, including a water garden and hydrangea garden. Visitors can also explore walking paths and ancient tombs dating back to the 4th to 7th centuries. The park is renowned for its cherry blossoms in spring and colorful foliage in autumn.
This park seems just like a regular park when I passed by it, but it certainly has exceeded my expectations! I visited on June 25, 2024, and to my surprise, the hydrangeas were still looking good! Many of the hydrangeas were planted in a shady area, so I guess that’s why the flowers don’t wilt too quicky when most of hydrangeas in other areas have wilted. There are 3 main attractions to this park, they are 1) the aquatic botanical garden, 2) seasonal flower garden in the center, and 3) the hydrangea/ajisai garden itself. Facility-wise, this park has adequate seating area, a gazebo right in the middle of the hydrangea garden, and it’s disable-friendly because it has a disable-friendly entrance and toilet. It’s so calm in here and there weren’t many people visiting the park—most of them just passers-by who wants to go to/came from Tamagawa station. Aquatic park is cool with many water lilies and cute water inhabitants like shrimps. The seasonal flower garden is neat and depending the time of your visit, displays beautiful greenery/colorful flowers. The hydrangea garden itself is well-maintained and looking gorgeous. I guess I can call this a “hidden gem”, giving how empty the place was VS. the no-crowd. During sunset, you can enjoy the view at the mini obeservation deck, overlooking the city and the riverbed. It was a nice evening visit, and I will return next year a little earlier for the hydrangea. Some cons: - since it’s located right next to station, there will be noises from train every few minutes, especially on the hydrangea garden side. - during summer, especially in the evening, do expect some mosquitoes. please take mosquito repellent with you.

Tamagawadai Park is a peaceful, baby-friendly park with great shade and easy access! The many tall trees provide excellent shade, making it perfect for stroller walks or relaxing with your baby, even on warm days. It’s also just a short walk from the station, which is super convenient for parents with young children. A wonderful spot to unwind, enjoy nature, and spend quality time with your little one!

Thanks for internet I found this hidden gem very close to minato ku. This park is 3 minutes away from Tamakawa station and it is famous for Ajisai season which is June . The park is huge and good for a nature walk along with bird signing and flower viewing , more that you can see the sun shining at tamakawa river . I am defiantly coming back to see sun sets at river . Highly recommended.

The park is actually big and consists of few parts. It’s a nice place to relax (alone, with friends, or with children). The view from the hill is nice too. Good to visit at any season.

This is a really nice and spacious park next to the river. You can get some really nice picturesque views of the trains as they cross the bridge and it's at the right spot where you can get a shot of the bend in the river (some construction pending). The paths are well kept so it's an easy walk. Overall, just a really lovely park.

Ikegami Plum Garden, located at the bottom of the hill of Ikegami Honmonji in Ota City, is a picturesque parkland known for its stunning plum blossoms in spring and hydrangea flowers in June. Visitors can enjoy the vibrant colors of plum blossoms from February to March, just before cherry blossoms bloom. The garden offers a spectacular view of the changing seasons and the city of Ota for a nominal fee.
A lovely garden located near a larger temple, making the whole area worth exploring. This garden is especially beautiful during plum blossom season, with vibrant colors creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
Zimmj Z — Google review
I went today around 11 am and it was very crowded. But nothing that gets in the way of seeing the garden in bloom. For those who like flowers, it's a great place to visit.
Christiano R — Google review
Before came here, better check their website because they updated almost every day about bloom percentage situation. Cheap entrance fee, only ¥100. The have also information room that you can sit to take a break indoor. 2/22/2025 When I came, it was 60% of blooming but pretty. Unfortunately, I can’t stay longer to enjoy the lit up setting at night due to very cold day. 🥶🤣 But I suggest you to come around 3pm, to enjoy sunset as well and the lit up at night.
Dini A — Google review
It was a perfect day to be outside. Loved the pink and red hues of the flowers. There were many people since I went on a Sunday. In hindsight, I should've gone on a weekday to avoid the crowd.
Mae M — Google review
Small park usually popular for cherry blossom🌸 season. Entry is just 100¥ per adult. There is a nice tea house in the back but only those with reservations are allowed inside. During the off-season it is still a nice park and not busy at all. There are plenty of benches to rest and a public bathroom.
Kevin K — Google review
Located at the bottom of the hill of Ikegami Honmonji, this plum garden provides its visitor a spectacular view of the change of season as well as the city of Ōta, just 100 yen. The plum blooms just before sakura. Its blooming season lies within February to March, where the full bloom is at its peak around the end of Feb (in Tokyo). At this time, you can see the plum blossoming in multicolor (white/pink/red). There is also a traditional Japanese house inside the garden, where the vibe of the architecture itself along with the blooming trees gives you a serenity among this metropolitan.
Panus S — Google review
As gardens go, Ikegami Gaien is not very big, but does one of the best jobs in displaying ume (plum) trees owing to its beautiful hill and to the well labelled variety of different plum trees. Overall, a much nicer, quieter, and more romantic experience than the more common cherry blossom parks with their massive crowds. This place is really a gem, and so close to Tokyo and Yokohama.

Custimer experience is perfect. I visitted here for Japanese traditional stand-up commedy called "Rakugo", especially for Kamata, local town in Tokyo, famous for reasonable drinking, where well-known popular traditional commedians gather and drink, under "Kamata-Kai". Rakugo performance was amazing and full of laugh as well as full of humour from traditional commedy, which was only entertainment in old Tokyo, Edo era. This townhall needs to keep near dwellers informed regarding important events like today, and we are keeping come here if we are constantly inforned about each specific interest which is taking place here.

Ramen Jun Kamata shop may not have a flashy entrance, but it offers amazing noodle dishes. Ordering is made easy with a ticket machine at the front, and language barriers are not an issue. The seating consists of a long counter with limited space. Customers can enjoy Chinese soba noodles with customizable options such as noodle firmness and fat content. This is a wonderful restaurant that satisfies the stomachs of commuters and commuters with its rich soup, freshly fried tempura, and rice balls that are also available for takeout. Recommended is tanuki soba. At a price of 350 yen, this is a great deal. The tempura kasu soaks up the oil, creating a rich soup. The soba noodles were cooked just right and blended well with the soup. Croquette soba was highly rated on food reviews on other sites, but this one is also great. The croquettes absorb the soup, giving it a deeper flavor, and the soup also becomes richer as the croquette ingredients and oil melt. In addition, Umemoto Tamagawa store has a rich menu that is unusual for a Tachikui soba store inside a station. We have rice dishes such as soba, udon, and curry, set menus with rice, and even individual ingredients. Whether you're feeling hungry while on the move or want a full-fledged meal, we have a menu that will satisfy your needs. I don't think there are many stand-up soba restaurants with such a rich menu. The big negative point is that even though it's inside the station, you can't use the transportation IC and only accept cash. The soba noodles are limp and chewy, but for some reason I find myself wanting to go there every now and then. This time I added shrimp to the shungiku tempura. The staff at the store are generally efficient. It's quite busy during lunchtime on weekdays. The menu seems to undergo minor changes from time to time. The coupons that are given out from time to time are a good deal if you are a repeat customer. Dan Dan noodle restaurant
Tann-Ya is a modest eatery that specializes in serving up delectable noodle and rice dishes, along with dumplings. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are satisfying. The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasing. One can opt for customizable side dishes like wantan to accompany their main course, such as ja ja noodles. Although the wantan lacked flavor, the main dish itself was delicious.
You can customise the spiciness level of the tantan ramen. The portion is quite large and worth the price. The ramen broth is thick and rich in flavour but not too much. The desert is also delicious. Small but cosy place to eat. The menu and toppings are diverse.

Not sure if they have menu in English. All are written in Japanese. I came for their sambal tantanmen and I ordered immediately. Since I came at night, there are some services we can pick and I picked upsize to large size. The spiciness is not torturing even hits the right spot. Not too spicy but you can still feel the spiciness. I like the noodle texture which is not too thick, chewy, not firm. The soup is also not making you feeling sick after eating it too much. I didn't feel the strong flavor of MSG also which is usually found in a Tantan men place. It only accepts cash. For making sure if they are open or not, check their twitter before you visit.

Ariso Sushi is a sushi restaurant located in the international terminal of an airport. Despite some items being out of stock, the quality of the sushi is unique for an airport store. The prices are high, but this is expected for an airport restaurant. The tuna sushi is particularly delicious. Although there aren't many menu choices, the service is quick and convenient, making it a great option for those with limited time before their flight.
It is pricy but the sushi is EXCELLENT! And I’ve been eating in Tokyo the last 2+ weeks. I chose this place because it was the least crowded place to eat at the airport. I NEEDED a place to sit and have a cold beer… So glad I chose it. Excellent quality and service. Highly recommend. Not cheap but worth it. Easy for non Japanese speakers as the tablet ordering system has English option. Everything was excellent.

Whether you’re a sushi connoisseur or simply looking to enjoy a delicious meal, ARISO SUSHI at Haneda Airport delivers an excellent dining experience that leaves a memorable impression.

This is the only sushi place that is open in the morning, unlike the other restaurants would open late. Very tasty sushi! The chef and the crews were helpful and recommended the best sushi in this place.

We came in today with our eight month old and we had a good selection of sushi! We ate it all but here’s what we ordered today, Wednesday afternoon before boarding our flight back to Seattle “) friendly staff and laid back vibes! Chef’s kiss!

One of the best sushi restaurants I've tried in Japan. It was clean, it was fast and like almost everywhere in Japan, excellent customer service. The price was ok, i can say i can find better prices but somehow less quality. Overall a really nice place. The only thing i didn't like is that the maximum time you can spend here is 45 minutes, but it's understandable.

Talk about airport pricing. It used to be a good place to order sushi before and after a trip overseas from Haneda, but now it costs a solid 4-5x above market price. The sushi comes one by one, rather than in pairs. Quality is fine, but it’s now so massively overpriced it takes the fun out of it.
