Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens, formerly known as the Caribbean Gardens, has been a prominent attraction in Naples for nearly a century. It offers boat tours through islands inhabited by monkeys and lemurs, gator feedings, and engaging animal shows. The zoo is an ideal destination for families to observe animals from around the globe as well as local species.
🌟 5-Star Zoo Review Example: I had such a wonderful time at Naples zoo! From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The zoo was clean, well-organized, and had shaded areas throughout — which made walking around so much more comfortable. You can bring food and drinks from outside to save money and plenty of picnic tables to sit and enjoy. What really stood out was how happy and well-cared-for the animals looked. The enclosures were spacious and thoughtfully designed to mimic natural habitats. We especially loved the giraffes! I also appreciated how educational the experience was. There were informative signs and even zookeepers nearby to answer questions. You could tell they genuinely care about conservation and animal welfare. The prices were fair, and they even had discounts available if you are a local resident and military. Highly recommend spending a few hours here whether you’re local or just visiting. It’s a perfect mix of fun, learning, and connection with nature. Can’t wait to come back!
Tiffany M — Google review
The Zoo is way better than the last time I visited. My kids enjoyed so much feeding the giraffes. A lot of places to rest under the trees. They implemented a few water sprinklers so we can cool down.
Lisette T — Google review
We loved the Naples zoo! It's not overly huge, but they have a good number of animals in the space, and they have some experiences that make it even better. The primate cruise is a fun way to see the monkeys, while not just walking, but riding on a boat around a man-made lake. It was so fun to learn about each of the individual monkeys on this ride. The other thing they offer is giraffe feeding! For $5-20 you can get different amounts of food and feed the giraffe right there. My daughter loved it! The walk through the rest of the zoo is very beautiful, it's well maintained, doesn't smell poorly, and highlights life in southwest florida. I also felt that the postings and information near the animals (and the viewing spot signs) really helped enhance the overall experience.
Lindsay V — Google review
I haven’t been here in many years and wasn’t expecting it to be very impressive. Boy, was I ever wrong! This is one of the nicest zoos ever. They have a very nice selection of resident critters as well as greenery. The staff members were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a great way to spend a couple hours! Check it out!
Mike K — Google review
This is a beautiful zoo. It is not very big, but is a perfect size. The boat tours through islands of monkeys and lemurs was awesome! Lots of shaded areas and sitting spots. Staff were very friendly and informative. I would definitely visit again.
Jennifer F — Google review
The zoo is full of beautiful greenery. All big trees around help to cool down when the weather is sunny and hot. The animals look healthy and everything is well maintained.
JT. W — Google review
This local Zoo is a fun place to visit. A half day will get you through the entire place, but it has a lot of exhibits. Many cats, birds, reptiles and yes Monkey islands best viewed by the boats which are included. Wanna see huge Florida Alligators? They're here, and yes very big. (No close encounters). 😃 Here's a small sample of what's in store for your arrival. Btw, there's lots explanations about the 7 million plants here too! Hint: There's some really old trees. Have fun!
David F — Google review
Naples Zoo has a great range of animals, all in spacious and very well maintained habitats. The primate cruise is amazing, especially as something included in the price of the ticket. The zoo has enough refreshment and snack stalls and toilets. All round a great experience!

Beaches
Lowdermilk Park is a popular destination in Naples, offering a range of amenities for visitors. Families with children will appreciate the full-service facilities, including two gazebo pavilions for picnics, playgrounds, and a duck pond. The park also features sand volleyball courts, restrooms, showers, and handicap access. Additionally, beach rentals such as kayaks and stand-up paddle boards are available at the concession stand.
This place is great. Beach was clean, water temperature was perfect and no seaweed, restrooms were well maintained throughout the day. There is a outdoor rinsing area. Parking is limited so get here early. Concession stand offers some snacks items and staff was friendly. Parking is $5 an hour, bring your own tent or umbrellas but they also offer rentals.
Jayz24981 — Google review
Nice location! Bathrooms could be maintained a little more but better than most locations! Very short waves made it too hard for skim boarding, but the sand was great and not too crowded.
CHEFTIMP — Google review
One of the things in my bucket list is watching Sunset from Naples beach. Today we were able to fulfil It in this park. The sand is White, soft and has shells. The water is green, which is different from what we usually see, But still very clear. The parking is 5 dollars per hour, not too bad but the parking space is limited. We couldn't find parking in the beginning and was about to head out and Luckily We saw an empty spot by the exit.
D I — Google review
Lowdermilk Park in Naples is the perfect spot to watch the sunset! The beach is clean, peaceful. Beach was crowded, but still plenty of parking and easy access make it a great choice. We came for the sunset and it did not disappoint—absolutely stunning!
Giuseppe P — Google review
Lowdermilk Park is a lovely beach in Naples, Florida. The sand is incredibly white and the water is crystal clear—perfect for a calm and peaceful day. It has a very family-friendly atmosphere, with facilities like showers and changing rooms, a small restaurant, and beach chair and umbrella rentals. You can also bring your own gear if you prefer. Parking is available at $5 per hour. The only downside at the moment is that there’s some construction going on nearby, so you might hear some noise from the building work. Other than that, it’s a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beach!
Ricardina D — Google review
The beach is great the bathrooms are OK. It has showers. I took 1 star because the parking cost is ridiculous 5$ an hour? Also not many spots, always a line to park 'if lucky'. That is crazy!
Eddy V — Google review
Beautiful Naples Beach Park with shaded concession area, chair/umbrella rentals, family friendly with play area and volleyball. Great place to spend a Naples beach day.
Rod R — Google review
Beautiful beach. Kept very clean by the city. Clean bathrooms and air conditioned! Showers are plentiful. Parking is close. Concessions have good food options for quick eating.

Caffe dell'Amore

Italian restaurant
Caffe dell'Amore is an intimate trattoria located in Naples, Florida, offering a market-driven Italian menu in a cozy setting with hand-painted walls and luxurious furnishings. The restaurant suffered damage from a storm but the family behind it is safe. Known for its tradition and home-cooked Italian dishes, the restaurant prides itself on making all its noodles from scratch.
Brian and Dominic do an amazing job. It is easy to see why they get the reviews they do. Very well deserved. From the restaurants decor, to the presentation of the food, the level of service. Down to the finest detail...Leather wrapped wine lists. It is just an excellent experience.

UPDATE: This restaurant has closed. This hidden gem is located directly across from Lowdermilk Beach park, a perfect location if you wish to dine and take a walk on the beach at sunset either before or after your meal. As you enter through the doors of this classic Italian restaurant you notice the handpainted walls and inviting surroundings of the dining area. Our server Martin was courteous and attentive, immedately taking our drink order and providing us with warm homemade rolls to enjoy. As my first course I had the delicious Tuscan soup filled with equal portions of bits of sausage, lentils and vegetables, a pure delight. As my main course, I chose the eggplant tower dish. I read several positive reviews about the dish and the reviews did not disappoint. Aside from the tastiness of the dish what I also loved about it was that it was served with not only a portion of pasta, but also a meatball, (choice of chicken or beef) a well balanced meal! Be sure to check out the dessert menu too. I enjoyed the tiramasu which was heavenly. Overall a culinary delight not to be missed in Naples!

As always our favorite spot for Italian food in Naples. Looking for a way to visit Italy? This is your spot. Delicious homemade recipes and friendly staff make for the best dining experience. We have celebrated two anniversaries and an engagement at this wonderful restaurant. Hope you can enjoy as much as we do

Great setting, very good and authentic food, great service. I would give it a 5 star, but I think there are other places I, personally, would go again before coming back here. I WOULD still recommend it for anyone that wants a nice Italian dinner in the area.
Andrew P — Google review
Excellent dining experience! The food was out of this world with flavor and texture. I had the wild boar. One if my favorite menu items to try when available. It was the best!

Did not see this place coming. Make a reservation it's a small space. The food is spectacular. Staff is wonderful. Listen to the recommendations you won't be disappointed.

If we could give Caffe dell'Amore a 10 star review we definitely would ! Upon entering this extremely charming Italian restaurant we were greeted by Dominic, who by the way is extremely charming himself, and throughout your meal, will be quite eager to lead you to an outstanding culinary experience . His attentiveness and recommendations are on point and Dominick will make you feel as though you are dining with family. The staff is courteous, respectful and knowledgeable, and the food is nothing short of PHENOMENAL ..compliments to the chef ! Coming from New Jersey/New York area we are quite accustomed to some outstanding restaurants and very exciting culinary dining. We were delighted by each amazing course from the antipasti to the decadent desserts...and every course in between was better then the previous one. Our only regret is that we did not find this incredible gem of a restaurant at the start of our stay in Naples, as we would have become regulars for sure. For anyone looking for one of the BEST Italian restaurants simulating very much the tastes of dining in Italy and for a true romantic , fun dining experience ...go no further than Caffe dell' Amore. You will be charmed ! Thank you Dominick, Alfredo , your outstanding chef and your entire staff for an unforgettable dining experience.
Antoinette S — Google review
We had a wonderful dinner tonight with our family. The food was carefully constructed and plated beautifully. It is clear that much thought and care has gone into each dish. I have been in Naples 18yrs now, and I'm also a former chef myself. I can say without hesitation that this restaurant far exceeds any other I have visited here. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive- Michelin level food and service. This place is a gem! We will be back.

$$$$very expensive
Steak house
Italian restaurant
Dorona is a stylish steakhouse in Naples, owned by the renowned Chef Fabrizio Aielli and his wife Ingrid. Unlike their other downtown locations, Dorona offers more affordable yet high-quality Italian dishes alongside aged beef cuts. The restaurant boasts a relaxed and well-designed environment, serving exceptional steaks, fresh pasta, imported charcuterie, and delectable Italian specialties like pork Milanese with burrata.
We dined here recently and had a phenomenal meal from their Sizzle menu. We both had the horseradish crusted tenderloin (perfectly cooked and seasoned) with the most delicious potatoes (crispy outsides tender/fluffy insides) and chocolate gelato sundae. I had the mussels with curry broth as a starter and the broth was extremely flavorful, I very much enjoyed the dish. My husband had the baby shrimp and it was also delicious (crispy cooked with crispy veggies and a dipping sauce). The pear old fashioned was scrumptious and satisfying. Thank you and we look forward to coming back soon.
Sara D — Google review
Very disappointing experience. We had a reservation for a Friday night, and the place turned out to not be busy at all - foreshadowing our night. The started with the bread service. The olive bread was interesting - probably the best thing I consumed here. The other bread (honestly not sure what it was) was fine, nothing special but not bad. I would've preferred plain butter over their specialty butter - I tried it more than once trying to give it a chance and never liked it even the slightest bit. Our steaks were nothing special. We got a New York strip and the wagyu option. The strip was reminiscent of an Outback Steakhouse steak - fine but not for the price. The wagyu was good enough but only due to the quality of the beef - nothing else remarkable about it. The accompanying potato puree (not sure if they claim this or just call them mashed potatoes) tasted entirely plain - a starchy potato flavor with minimal butter, salt, etc. We also got truffle fries to share - if you want to feel like you're eating pure truffle oil, you'll enjoy. We did not. Our service was adequate. The server did well, and caught a mistake (regular fries instead of truffle fries) without us having to say anything. The person that brought our main entrees to the table didn't know or ask whose steak was whose, so they swapped our plates.

Lunch special fabulous! Laura amazing bartender and so so nice! First time and won’t be the last!
Dawn G — Google review
I've eaten at Dorona about 10 times over the past couple of years, and last time my family and I returned for two nights in a row. The reasons: great food, friendly and professional service, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Some of the dishes are quite sophisticated, including delicious fish or pasta entrees with tasty sauces. But you can also get simply grilled steaks, cooked perfectly to order. Our table also supped on fresh and succulent oysters. What I also like about Dorona, everyone can hear each other at the table. It offers a festive atmosphere, but it's also quiet. We'll be back again soon.
Nancy R — Google review
Took advantage of sizzle dining was really impressed with Dorona one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in a long time
Daniel R — Google review
Delicious. Awesome service. Reasonable prices for the quality food. Brussel sprouts and bacon? Yes please. Round 2. Like 3 years later? Menu has changed. Tried the calamari and it was over cooked. Cesar salad was okay. Aged New York strip was awesome! Service was slow at 1st but she got it together. Burger was fantastic. We will be back.
Vespa G — Google review
Excellent!!! Great service. It's a very inviting atmosphere. Live music when we visited on a Wednesday evening with a variety of music. Food was amazing along with the presentation! Try the red sangria it's a must and a perfect pair to any steak on their menu.
Tania C — Google review
The place has a rustic look with a touch of modernity. It's got outdoor and indoor seating. It is an Italian steakhouse, so expect pasta and meat dishes. Bucatinni pasta is great and the steak options are fairly priced and very well cooked. Server was attentive and happy to make suggestions. The cocktails are great specially the one with grapefruit vodka and hibiscus. It can get expensive if you ask for many things though. Be ready for a $100+ plus check if you bring a date or fam. Very nice experience overall. Would recommend !

Organic food store
Organic restaurant
Food & Thought is more than just a coffee spot; it's a blend of grocery store, cafe, and community hub that's beloved by the Naples community. Offering an array of healthy vegan and allergy-friendly options, it's the ideal place for a quick caffeine boost or a nutritious meal before hitting the beach. All their offerings are homemade and certified organic, ensuring top-notch quality.
Very friendly staff, everything is fresh and nicely organized. It was great finding products I normally have to order online, and was surprised to find seasonal produce I’ve been looking for here too (lychee and so delicious!). I had the elder edge smoothie and an iced latte from the cafe, absolutely delicious. I’m a coffee snob so I loved that they used organic beans and they have top quality ingredients here too (like organic Ceylon cinnamon and organic malk almond milk)
Jasmine J — Google review
Great grocery store, cafe, juice bar and bakery! They have made-to-order and prepared items - lots of vegetarian options and a few vegan options! The grocery store has a varied selection of whole and vegan food items.

My go to for an amazing grass fed burger! Love the concept, love the location so I don’t have to always go to crazy Seed to Table even tho I love it there to but this is a quaint and classy way to have a quick meal that is healthy and nutritious . I can grab my raw milk Thank God I am so blessed to have access to this in the area and grateful for Allday Farms for their contribution to society and our right to have what God intended for us to consume. So appreciative for this establishment it is always clean, the workers are so friendly, very well run!! Thank you for a great time every time!

Food and Thought is an essential for anyone in the Naples area. A perfectly warm atmosphere to have a meal. The servers are friendly and attentive to your needs, making sure you have everything you need. The star of the show however, is the incredibly talented cook, Freedom. Each of her meals are carefully crafted with fresh ingredients, and flavors that deliciously pop out at the taste buds. Her skill and passion for cooking are evident each time I enjoy a plate here. Overall Food and Thought is a must visit, the perfect place to have a great experience!

We love the fresh organic market here. Tons of fresh, organic produce at great prices. The staff is always very friendly. Wonderful variety of freshly baked breads. We love their raw and vegan desserts. We finally stopped into the cafe for lunch. My husband got the grass fed beef burger and I got the beet and goat cheese salad with chicken. The sides were huge! Everything was so yummy. Can’t wait to be back to try more dishes on their menu!

I have been going to Food and Thought since I moved here in 2002. It has always been my happy place and they just keep improving. The prices are very reasonable for what you are getting, food is good, portion sizes are great, ambiance is perfect, staff always great, etc. Love this place and always will.
M P — Google review
Super cute place to shop for groceries but also to grab a bite to eat. They even have a juice and coffee bar but I will say that the juices are a bit pricey. I paid $9 for a small cup of the Sunset juice but it was delicious. Now, for the same $9 I got the chicken salad sandwich with chips and although there wasn't much to it or anything special but it was pretty good. The ambiance itself is great and my favorite thing about the entire place, they have tables outside and inside
